Badlands Media - The Daily Herold: 7/9/26 - Election Overhaul Deep Dive and Platner's Exit
Episode Date: July 9, 2026Jon Herold works through a New York Times deep dive on the many ways Trump is using federal power to try to shape the 2026 midterms, walking through nationalization efforts, redistricting battles, ele...ction security cuts, and ongoing fights over voter rolls in states like Georgia and Minnesota. He shares some skepticism about whether these efforts have produced any real world results yet and invites the chat to weigh in. There is also a look at Graham Platner's Senate campaign collapsing under new allegations, Trump's on camera reaction to it, fresh testimony from Lance Twigs in the Tyler Robinson case, and a couple of business headlines including a wave of new chip manufacturing investment. Sponsor breaks and some lively back and forth with the chat round things out for a fairly dense Thursday show.

The Badlands, what are the Badlands?
Explain those Badlands.
That's a hell of a name.
Well, good afternoon, everybody, and welcome to the Daily Herald here on Badlands Media.
I'm your host, John Harold, and a real quick housekeeping item.
We are back up on our other YouTube.
So we were originally scheduled to go on the backup YouTube, and because the last minute,
like approval. We're not streaming there. We're streaming here instead. So I'm going to put it in the chat
just for those who want to go over there. We want to get that thing back up and run it again.
But yeah, I came across an interesting story from the New York Times talking about how Trump is
trying to use all of his powers and authority to what's the actual title? The many ways Trump is
trying to tip the scales for the midterms. And so I want to talk about that a little bit. And then, you know,
we got a couple other random stories.
Graham Platner has resigned.
They're going to fill his Canada to see with somebody else.
Trump had some interesting comments on that.
And yeah, we'll see where the show takes us.
But how are you guys doing?
I only have a few minutes.
I need to dope up the antsy horses for the fairier.
Not my favorite chore.
Chores are the worst.
Yeah, I thought it was Friday for most of the morning.
It was a weird morning this morning.
It was like 1140.
and realized like, oh my gosh, I can't believe it's 1140.
My show starts in 20 minutes, 1140 my time.
And I hadn't showered yet or anything.
I've just been plugging away.
So to scramble up to the shower and get out real quick.
Brian's show needed some soft disclosure.
Is he still covering the trial stuff?
I tell you what, I did watch a little bit of Brian's coverage yesterday.
And it's not Brian's fault, but it's just so boring.
Like Brian didn't do anything.
You just replayed the court stuff.
I just cannot get into it.
I don't know what it is.
But maybe I will when the actual trial starts,
but they're just like talking about what evidence
they're going to be showing and all that stuff.
So I don't know.
No proof of life for glitch.
Chris Christie tipped many a scale.
Escape the Matrix is tired.
I can relate to that.
Anyway, let's get a quick word from the first sponsor of today's show.
Oh, my browser froze.
Great.
Old for processing.
So now when it does it does like once a show.
There we go.
And our first sponsor today is Alp.
And to skip the middix, no, I have not tried those things you sent.
I just realized when I saw that they were the sponsor today,
Elp was that they're still in my jacket pocket from Gart.
I got to get them out and I'll give them a shot.
But for now, tired of nicotine pouches that are drier than your ex's texts,
meet Elp, the moist flavor bomb pouches.
that actually deliver.
While the other guys taste like grandma's dusty tea bag,
Alp hits you with bold flavors and 20 pouches per tin,
that's five extra hits of satisfaction,
three milligrams for chill mode and up to 12 milligram four.
I just saw the group chat energy.
Elp, because your lip deserves better than a desert,
grab yours at badlandsmedia.tv slash elp.
Use code badlands for 10% off.
That's badlandsmedia.tv slash elp.
And that is the one that I use.
a bad habit. So you can at least save 10%. That's kind of the main reason I even signed up for it
was because you could save 10% and make money in the process of doing it. So,
Eric Kew Freeman says the OJ trial of this generation, you really think it's that? You really think
it's that good? The trial? I don't know. I still got to, maybe you got to talk to my buddies
again because they didn't seem all that into it. Prist Jim. Hydroids.
John, love to see the Rumble for your show.
Sometimes I have to use your YouTube deal for Rewind View when I'm out to prefer the Rumble channel.
Thank you.
Escape the Matrix.
My normally conservative friends are all in on the Tyler Robinson as the killer and that the exploding mic is just a conspiracy theory.
Yeah, I don't know.
I just, what I hate about it and why I find myself creating distance between me and the issue.
I mean, it's going to work out, however, it's going to work out.
it doesn't appear that they have any actual evidence.
They haven't at least talked about any actual evidence that Tyler Robinson did it.
But maybe he did.
I don't know.
The issue is how defensive people get about not even being able to talk about it.
That's what's annoying.
But anyway, let's start plugging away.
First, up.
We have some price changes on gold and silver.
Gold is at 41, 47.
Silver is at 61.23, up a little bit from yesterday.
Bitcoin is up a little bit from yesterday.
Gas prices, the national average, have gone up really significantly, almost five cents.
No, exactly five cents.
Today, it's at $3.84.
Yesterday, it was at $3.79.
Definitely the largest increase in gas prices I've seen since I started covering this about a month,
month and a half ago.
So definitely notable.
Cancom was so far off.
It's not even funny.
But let's talk about, I don't know what I want to start with.
The SPLC pleaded not guilty to the federal fraud charges.
Kind of assumed they would.
Let's do this.
I just got to archive the link here.
We'll talk a little bit about Graham Platner.
Platner's advisors urged him to go out with gratitude.
He led with grievance.
The progressive made it a condition of dropping out of the main Senate race
that he get free reign to assail establishment Democrats.
Green Planner went down swinging,
even as some of his political confidence urged him not to.
Several of the embattled Maine Democrats' closest advisors
pleaded with him Wednesday to strike a concealatory tone.
Conciliatory?
I would say that word wrong, tone.
In the announcement terminating his Senate campaign,
according to two people close to Planner's team
with knowledge of the internal discussions,
but the progressives,
a progressive bucked their advice
and made it a condition of dropping out of the race
that he get free reign to assail establishment Democrats
and blame them for ignominious end to his rapid political rise.
And shortly after 8 p.m. Wednesday, just two days after Politico reported that a woman accused him of sexually assaulting her in 2022,
the Oisterman released a defying emotional social media video.
He continued to deny the allegations against him.
He blasted the corporate media system and political establishment for acting as judge, jury, an executioner,
and he railed against Washington Democrats for ripping the rug out from under him.
Those in power of the ability to do so are using these allegations as an excuse.
to take away all the things that we need to run a campaign,
they would rather see Susan Collins win
than have me be the next senator of Maine.
Let me play a video of Trump here.
I don't know, Grand Planner.
No idea. I haven't followed any of his campaign.
I know he's got the Nazi tattoo on his chest.
I know there's a bunch of accusations against him,
but this is what Trump had to say.
As I go up, the Democrats.
Democratic, do you know what a Democrat?
Do you think that the Democrats should be able to pick her a placement
for Graham Platner. He's had all these new allegations that have come out. Now Democrats are talking
about picking a replacement for him. Should they be able to do that? They're picking what?
A replacement for Graham Platner. If he's not of the race. So he won the prime.
And now there's these new allegations. It's very hard for them to do. And it's really a question of
whether or not you believe the woman. A lot of people say big falsehoods. It's, uh, he's in a bind.
He's in a bind. I kind of want to comment on that.
He said a lot of women say big falsehoods.
And as a victim of that myself, I do have a little sympathy, maybe empathy for Graham Platner.
Because I don't know if they're true.
They're probably not.
Like when you get years old accusations that surface rate as a guy's running for office.
I mean, come on.
It's political weapons being used against this guy.
And who knows?
Maybe Trump's team is behind it.
But the principle of that is like, it's so annoying.
all the woman has to do is go and cry on screen and a whole bunch of people will believe it
but it's like such a pathological narcissistic thing to do it's it's again as a victim of it
myself it still grinds my gears that so many people fell for that stuff and can't wait for that
situation to be over but anyway let me finish this video quick but should they be able to do it
well I guess he's going to lose I would imagine he's going to lose it's very interesting when
woman came out with the same charge nobody believed it when this woman came out everybody
believed you right now did you get any pictures of it you don't want to need pictures of it what a weird
thing to say um but yeah so he's out i don't know if that makes suzanne collins a a shoe in or not i
don't know how they're going to handle it but we'll certainly keep tabs on it um Palm beach international
airport rebranded as the Donald j trump international airport so that's cool stuff
and got a little sign.
Welcome.
Oops, that was loud.
Welcome to President Donald J. Trump,
International Airport.
I wonder when Trump's out of office
if the Democrats are going to try to, like,
fight that in some way.
Anyway,
so yesterday Trump
had a post.
I could find it
about the chips.
I thought it was a post.
I thought it was a comment.
Why can't I find it?
Let me look one more thing because then the story came out and I thought it was really interesting.
Trump, Taiwan.
I don't know where I'm, what I'm thinking of because I could have swore I saw something, but either way.
Apple Micron announced more than $30 billion in new U.S. chip and semiconductor investments.
Apple Micron announced major new investments this week,
aimed at expanding U.S. semiconductor manufacturing, strengthening domestic supply chains,
and supporting growing demand for artificial intelligence and advanced computing technologies.
Micron said plans to invest up to 3 billion to strengthen the U.S. semiconductor supply chain,
including 500 million in strategic financing for global wafers, America's 300-millimeter
silicon water manufacturing facility in Sherman, Texas. I'm assuming that's millimeter?
I guess I don't know for sure.
Companies also signed a 10-year supply agreement that would provide Micron with a long-term
domestic source silicon wafers key material used in semiconductor production.
Micron's been in the news a lot lately with their investment into the,
into the
Trump accounts
CCO that's the airport
we'll fly into when we see our family
that is a good news
pulling in my driveway
turning around
I think the neighbors
across the street
are moving in or something
because there's been nothing
but like people
outside today
kind of annoying
I should go let out some
I should go take some of the fireworks
that we have
and put them all over the street
so that sounds like
they pop in their tires
every time they drive by
St. Pete's 70.
Looks like they're trying to keep cocaine Mitch on ice until after August 3rd to avoid a special election weekend at Bernie's ice.
That is not a real thing, or St. Pete.
It doesn't matter when, even if it's after August 3rd, there's still a special election.
According to Kentucky state law, it's something they changed back in 2024.
Casey Martin, Scout Jennings' statement on cocaine Mitch is a head scratcher.
I agree.
Tovinny Boy says looking for another reason to take the wife to Florida.
I don't know when we're going down there, but whenever we do, we're probably going to do a Badlands meetup.
You haven't booked our travel logistics yet, but probably going to be either late this month or early next month.
So we'll keep you guys post.
I don't know where we're going to do it yet, though.
Snack comes John.
Outbreak of parasite causing weeks long diarrhea infects nearly 1,000 people in Michigan.
Yeah, it's like all over the place now.
maybe that's a new COVID for the midterms.
Just a bunch of diarrhea for everybody.
The Department of Labor launches a major H-1B visa fraud
and human trafficking investigation about darn time.
According to the OIG, the investigation will focus on exposing fraud,
forced labor, human trafficking, fraudulent recruitment practices,
wage kickbacks, and other abuses that have undermined programs
intended to address legitimate labor shortages rather than benefit bad actors.
Looking forward to the results of that.
I've been kind of like rushing through just trying to get to this story.
I think we should just dig right into it.
So when the mainstream media and the left,
which they've been doing this quite a bit lately,
is trying to frame or set establish the narrative,
twist the narrative a certain way about whatever topic it is,
you know it's that it's like a concern of theirs.
Like they see this as an attack vector for Trump and the white hats or whatever you
want to call them.
And so they're trying to get out ahead of something.
Now, both sides do this kind of thing.
But I think it's interesting when it comes to our elections.
Anything related to our elections is interesting to me.
So I want to go through this article.
This came out a few days ago, but I finally have it.
I want to like go through it with you guys.
Okay.
President Trump is trying to use the levers of the federal government,
along with personal influence over state and local lawmakers,
to reshape the rules governing the 2026 midterms in future elections in extraordinary ways.
many of these efforts have been blocked by courts stymied by the constitution or stopped by congress
but the relentless assault by the president on the electoral process both administratively and rhetorically
is likely to so doubt and lay groundwork for extensive challenges to election results
agencies and officials across the federal government have at the direction of mr trump
undertaken dozens of actions grounded in novel strategies and aimed at insulating republicans from
potential losses in november those actions fall into six
major categories and some fall in to more than one.
Good to see a burn spy.
Medved's co. Diary is my friend providing my tidy, whitey brown grin.
Oh, man.
Fils Scarborough, walk over to your neighbors and ask hi.
Has anyone ever discussed the definition theory with you?
We should give him a welcome basket of soft disclosure.
Snackham says, interesting misspeak, chip, chip, VPN I ran.
The basic deal that we cut was we'll lift our blockade if you stop shooting at chips.
you shoot at ships we are going to punch back yeah people are looking at that comment that he made
and basically saying it's a disqualifier for for him being um president let me see if i can find the
clip everybody's not everybody but i guess the left is anyway i don't see the issue with this
not that i'm advanced supporter anyway i have my questions on him too but take a listen
We ship a lot of the world's energy, that artery has got to remain open.
And that is what the Iranians have to know.
If they try to close it down, there's going to be a response for the American military.
It's that simple.
That's the deal.
They can either follow it or they can have exactly what happened to him last night.
It's just going to keep on happening until they open up that lane and stop shooting at ships.
It's simple.
That's Trump's policy.
He's the VP for Trump.
It makes sense that he's going to say those things.
How many ships could a loose lip ship if a ship lip?
Pitchie Corrigan that made no sense, man.
Zero sense.
We could to see you.
Hold on.
Okay.
Yeah, so the six major categories that they are saying Trump is trying to sway the elections,
taking steps to nationalize them, trying to tighten voting restrictions,
pushing for mid-decade redistricting, cutting election security,
undermining faith in the electoral system by questioning previous results,
punishing those who have worked against election denialism.
That's going to be real fun, I think.
Taking steps to nationalize elections, at least 14 actions.
The United States Constitution puts control of elections in the hands of the states
and grants Congress the ability to pass federal election legislation,
gives no explicit authority to the executive branch.
But in early February, Mr. Trump said he wanted the Republican-led federal government
to nationalize or take over the running of elections.
A state is an agent for the federal government in elections, he said.
Mr. Trump had already in March of 2025 signed an executive order seeking
brought authority over elections.
The order required documentary proof of citizenship to register to vote and mandated
the return of mail ballots by election day, those who were almost universally blocked
by the courts, which found that the order clearly violated the separation of powers and
exceeded the president's authority.
So we have Trump kind of testing the constitutional limits of the executive branch.
And he's going to have to do something.
And as many times I have to say this, I feel like to say this.
I feel like to say it again.
It's not going to be up to our elected officials to fix the system that they benefit from.
It's not going to happen.
He's going to have to do something extraordinary at some point, whatever that looks like.
Is that what they're hinting at here in this article?
Like they feel like something's coming.
I don't think it's going to be as simple as an executive order.
Maybe it is that national emergency a lot of people are talking about.
But then at the same time, some of the people that are pushing that are not like,
they're the limited hangout version of conning.
And that makes me feel like that's not the solution Trump's going to go with.
Or maybe he will.
He'll like ride the coattels and then divert it or something.
I don't know.
I hope he just cancels him somehow.
But anyway, another provision which instructed the U.S. Attorney General to hunt for
and prosecute election crimes has been used to justify sprawling efforts by the Justice
Department related to elections.
The Justice Department began demanding the complete voter files, state databases of registered
voters that include sensitive personal identifying information.
from every state as it worked to compile the largest set of national voter roll data has ever collected.
More than half the states, many under Democratic control, but some run by Republicans too have resisted this effort.
In response to the Justice Department has sued at least 30 states and territories seeking to force them to turn over their unredacted voter rolls,
at least 16 states have provided or indicated an intention to turn over their list, according to tracking from the Brennan Center.
and again, this reminds me of exactly what happened in Trump's first term.
This almost feels like a direct rerun.
If you remember Trump's Executive Order, and I'll show you here, this one,
and this is from my Devolution Part 21.
Executive Order 13799 from May 11, 2017,
establishment of a Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity.
They're looking into all the laws, rules,
strategies, practices that undermine the election results.
They tried to get a whole bunch of info from the states.
Let me see if I can find it.
At least eight lawsuits were filed challenging the commission, alleging its activities
violated the law.
Five of the plaintiffs and the different lawsuits were non-profit organizations.
Lawsusts by the first two groups involved the lack of transparency of the commission's meetings.
In addition to lawsuits, complaints been filed with the federal agencies against
two of the commission members.
and yeah so they ended up shutting it down
but many mostly Democrat states
refused to hand over data from the 2016 election
to the commission on voter fraud Trump wrote on Twitter Thursday morning
they fought hard that the commission not see their records or methods
because they know that many people are voting illegally
system is rigged must go voter ID
as Americans Trump continued on Twitter you need identification
sometimes in a very strong and accurate form
for almost everything you do except when it comes to the most
important thing voting for the people that run your country push hard for voter
identification and then he disbanded it and handed off all the info they did
collect to DHS so again that's um 2017 that took place it was Mike Pence who led
that commission by the way but so here we are again back to this year and it's like a lot
of the same effort a lot of the same pushback and we're kind of getting a lot of the same
net result with these efforts does that make sense anyway in January Pam Bondi then
Attorney General requests that Minnesota turn over its voter rolls to bring back law and order
amid the protests. They dismiss the request is outrageous. Though the Justice Department is yet to win a
single lawsuit, it has lost at least 10 so far, as well as one federal appeal. Election officials
and Democrats fear the battle over voting records may be used in a post-election effort to challenge,
discredit, or spread disinformation about the midterm results. Acting on the same executive order
that DHS has been combing voter rolls for non-citizens who have voted. It has found no evidence
of it has not found evidence of widespread fraud. I hate that, that quote that they always say.
A federal judge barred the administration from letting states use a federal citizenship data tool
to screen their voter rolls. In March of 2026, Trump signed a second executive order regarding
voting policy, this time seeking to create a state-by-state list of citizens that would be
used to determine voting eligibility and restrict the use of mail-in ballots.
It was immediately challenged by nearly half the states. And then a federal judge,
with the state's blocking key provision.
So a lot of these executive orders Trump is doing,
we're not getting them codified by Congress,
because Congress is illegitimate
and they are not working in the interest of the American people.
And those who say we need to win the midterms
in order to finally pass legislation and stuff,
we're not going to, that's not going to work.
It's not going to happen.
The elections are still rigged to this point.
The people on the primary ballots
are still uniparty candidates.
Anybody that does get in,
we already have the majority
and we're not doing anything for Trump.
So how's going to be any different on the flip side of this
if we do win the midterms?
doesn't make sense to me.
Before that court decision, the United States Postal Service proposed a rule that would allow the agency to refuse to deliver mail and ballots in states that didn't turn over voter rolls.
But they said that they'll abide by a court order.
And then we have this story from, where's that, Hermie Dillon.
I think I talked about this the other day.
The DOJ warns states of criminal liability over non-citizen ballots.
They sent a letter to 10 states warning that.
election officials could face criminal prosecution if non-citizens are allowed to remain on voter
roles this is harmy dillan that's when i posed a question like can you tell me what she's actually
done not just what she said because she says a lot of really cool things and a lot of people like what
she says online cool stuff but have we seen any net results and i'm looking at california
we just had primaries there we had spencer pratt had the election stolen from him
very obviously he put out a pretty good video maybe we'll watch that a little bit but
where's the prosecution's there?
I guarantee you there are non-citizens voting.
There are so many shenanigans in California
that the fact that they haven't gotten to the bottom of any of it yet
is it's almost like they don't want to.
I haven't checked on the chat a while.
Let me look.
Struggling with behaving myself today,
please send love and light to everyone I engage with today,
says C and Stewart.
Ramone 222, let's go with election security.
No voter rolls.
Register for every election.
Paper ballots.
One day, hand counted zero machines.
Would love that.
executive order the ebs and let's all get back on the truth train her me just filed lawsuits
that's great but have the lawsuits done anything what have what has been the net results of her efforts
that's like my main question because i know a lot of people that like can look busy
do things to pretend to be busy like pretend they're busy bees all these things whatever
doing things like social media influencers anapal luna is a great example of this
she has a whole bunch of committees
she does a whole bunch of like interviews
she does a whole bunch of committee stuff
and then
what's the net result
have we had any more de-classed anything important
did she get to the bottom of the JFK stuff
have we seen the alien files she promised
did she make progress on the Epstein thing
did we get the truth behind that no nothing
that's kind of how I see a lot of these
administration people not Trump
but other people in the administration we don't know
if they're
they're legit
And wasn't Harvey Dillon one of the attorneys for Trump in 2020 for like one of the election lawsuits?
I don't remember.
Democrats fear that the president could weaponize federal agencies on or after election day.
Mr. Trump told the New York Times last year that he regretted not seizing voting machines after the 2020 election.
I love that.
I did not see him say that.
When was this article?
January of 2026.
Wow.
How did I miss this?
President Trump said during an interview with New York Times that he regretted not ordering the national
Guard to seize voting machines in swing states after his loss in the 2020 election.
Though he doubted the Guard was sophisticated enough to carry out the order effectively,
remarks by Mr. Trump in the interview last week, harked back to one of the most perilous
moments from his first term in office.
He was urged by some advisors to order his national security agencies to take control of the voting
machines manufactured by Dominion in effort to find evidence.
That was that draft executive order that I've talked about many times.
How did I not see that article?
Or maybe I did and I just don't remember.
Yeah, that's notable.
Because if you remember the draft executive order, I'll show you guys.
This is from my addendum part four of my series.
Executive orders 1233333.
Yeah, 333.
13-8, National Security Presidential Memorandum 13 and 21.
And this called for the interdiction.
That security defense.
Here we go.
Secretary of Defense has discretion to determine the interdiction of national critical infrastructure
supporting federal elections.
And this is the thing that was going to establish
Sidney Powell as the prosecutor.
But again, remember, he did not sign this.
He did something else instead.
Anyway, Abigail Jackson, a spokesman for the White House,
defended the president's actions and policies regarding elections.
He's committed to ensuring the full confidence.
Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
We shall see.
Trying to tighten voting restrictions.
I think this is stupid.
And we've heard these arguments so many times.
like voter ID is not racist.
Blacks are just as
easily able to get an ID as a white person
or blacks are just as easily
to get an idea as rich people
or how did Biden say that quote?
Poor people, whatever.
So I think that's stupid.
Pushing for mid-decade redistricting,
we saw this battle play out.
I'm pretty sure this is like done
before the midterms anyway.
Perhaps no strategy embraced by Mr. Trump
was more explicitly designed to prevent a midterm loss
than the mid-decade redistricting wars
of the past year. It's funny because the Democrat states were the ones that led this, wasn't it?
Was it, um, gosh, what state was it?
Was it a Virginia, maybe? Or Carolina? No. Louisiana?
Now I don't remember what state was trying to do this and it got slapped down in Supreme Court.
Anyway, last summer, Mr. Trump and his alley at the White House began encouraging Texas Republicans
to take the rare step of redrawing their congressional maps to try to save the parties
in danger majority.
By November, forcing Republican-led states to redraw their maps was at the center of Mr. Trump's
strategy to win the midterms.
Democrats responded by introducing aggressive gerrymanders in California and Virginia.
I wonder which actually went first.
I bet we could find out because I bet it was the Democrats.
Okay, now this is going to be an interesting one.
Cutting election security.
Let me check back in with the chat quick.
Camera guy, we need lots of patriots in office.
Not sure they want to run at this point.
Most of my favorite patriots are now gone.
Quiet Coney, members of the admin who spend vast amounts of time giving interviews and posting online
are not producing positive results for mainstream Americans.
It's all narrative.
Exactly.
So why do we need to cheerlead it?
You don't.
Ramone 222.
If you don't vote for Biden, you ain't black.
Amorgat 35.
Matt Getz was a huge loss in Congress.
He led most of the fights.
You know, I have an interesting perspective on Matt Gates
because I met him in person,
discussed some things with him when I was at the Kansas Reckoning event,
which I had a great time doing it.
But he was like the headline speaker.
And the night before we were at,
Hannah's house and in her family.
He was there and we were talking.
And either he's like super good
at putting on a show
or he's like super normie
and establishment.
Because that's what he came off as to me.
I just don't know which it is.
Trump administration is still giving our money away
to everyone except Americans. Weird, right?
It is weird. That is weird.
Keep talking about it.
The Trump administration has got a key elements
of the nation's election security infrastructure.
Guys, the election security infrastructure
is what's still the helped steal the election in 2020.
SISA, the EISIC, EISIC,
EISIC, man, I used to be so good with these acronyms.
You don't talk about this much, you forget.
All those different entities within the, within SISA,
they were part of the election theft.
they're the ones that came out.
Chris Krebs.
Most secure election in American history.
So yeah, I would cut funding to that too.
Exeter's warned that the changes could reduce
visibility into nationwide cyber attacks
and foreign influence campaigns
while making it more difficult for state
and local election officials
to coordinate defense operations.
Early in the second term, Mr. Trump signed two directives
that administration officials have used to justify
the dismantling of these programs.
The administration has weakened CISA,
terminated an FBI task force aimed at combating
foreign influence in the election,
and ended a program responsible for sharing threat intelligence with state and local officials.
And I do remember covering this story.
Trump dismantles government fight against foreign influence operations.
It was back in February this year.
It was called the election security group or something.
I don't remember what it was called.
But either way.
The actions are rooted in longstanding grievances for Mr. Trump and his allies who have argued that under the guise of fighting misinformation and disinformation,
the Biden administration infringed on free speech.
and participating in the theft of the election.
Crowd strike is still in many voting machines running EDR support.
In his budget, first budget request to Congress,
Mr. Trump proposed eliminating Siss's disinformation offices,
accusing them of conspiring against the First Amendment rights
of President Trump and his supporters.
Mr. Trump's attack on Sisa also reflect his animosity toward Christopher Krebs,
the agency's former director who oversaw efforts to secure the 2020 election
and inferiorated Mr. Trump by publicly debunking his lies about that election.
We're going on six years now.
And the mainstream media is still running with the talking point of there's no evidence,
debunking his lies about the election.
All the take, I mean, I hate even saying this myself because I do think the evidence is out there.
Like, I think there is plenty of evidence that we could look to to show that, yeah, the 2020 election is stolen.
But what's it going to take to get the mainstream media to stop with those talking points?
Whatever this exposure that.
that is coming, which I can't wait for.
Who knows when it's going to come?
But it better be damning.
Undermining faith in the electoral system by questioning previous results.
This is the one that we got indicted for at Gart with our big jury trial thing.
Mr. Trump refuses to concede that he lost the 2020 election,
has used the White House to both legitimize and seek evidence supporting his debunk conspiracy theories.
On his first day back in office, granted Clemency did the nearly 1,600 people charged in connection with the attack on the Capitol.
On January 6, 2021, later, he introduced a page on the White House website falsely accusing Democrats
of promoting gaslighting narrative in their efforts to certify the sole election.
Mr. Trump also ordered Tulsi Gabbard, the director of national intelligence,
to help manage an FBI investigation of his basis claims of voting regularies in Fulton County, Georgia.
The move came after a team led by Ms. Gabbard seized voting machines from Puerto Rico to examine them for vulnerabilities.
These are like good moves. I do like these.
We just haven't seen the net results of them yet.
The admin also issued subpoenas for 2020 elections.
records in Maricopa County, and requested access to voting equipment used in Missouri,
and based on disproven allegations about the 2020 election demanded 24 election records from
Wayne County, Michigan. Last month, the top federal prosecutor in Los Angeles broke with
decades of precedent in predicting election fraud charges related to California's primary
races while votes were still being counted. I don't think we've seen any of those charges,
maybe one. It made the Justice Department announced it was setting up a $1.8 billion fund to
compensate people who claim to be victims of government of privatization. We all know how that went
down. Mr. Trump has stocked his second administration with people who are sympathetic to his
denial of the 2020 election results. These officials have been put into positions where they could play a
role in undermining this year's and futures elections. Where Trump has installed elections and I is
in government. The White House. Clay Parique, our boy Clay. He's just at the Nashville guard.
Great dude. He's been involved with a bunch of stuff. Polymath on there's plenty of evidence of
devolution too, John. Doesn't mean we'll ever get it, but we hope. That's a very, very good point.
I've at least resolved myself to the fact that we probably won't ever get devolution evidence.
I have not resolved myself to the fact that we may not get election fraud evidence of 2020.
I think we need it.
Like if Trump is doing what we think he's doing, that has to be one of the steps.
Like there has to be, like that has to be addressed.
The 2020 election needs to be addressed.
Same with all of the crimes that have been perpetrated against the Trump administration and the American people.
Like you have to.
You cannot move forward without some sort of accountability and justice.
At least if there is a path forward without that,
I don't know what it looks like.
It's hard to game theory it out.
It's hard to game theory that out and see us getting to the other side of things
and having things be like fixed and better, you know?
Otherwise, it's just going to move forward with the same old, same old.
We all know most of these people.
Kurt Olsen's a big name.
Obviously, Cash Patel.
Greg Phillips, he's no longer there.
Anyway, pushing against the, or punishing those who have worked against election denialism.
I can't believe that's even a thing.
Well, Mr. Trump has long used grievance as a political tool.
Retribution against his perceived enemies has become a centerpiece of his second administration.
Much of that retribution has targeted anyone who has investigated the January 6th attack or pushed back against the 2020 election denial.
Then hours of retaking office, Mr. Trump signed an executive order, asserting that the Biden administration had engaged in a systematic campaign against,
against its perceived political opponents and directing federal agencies to seek evidence that it did so.
The administration has purged FBI agents and government attorneys who worked on investigations of Mr. Trump or his allies.
They've revoked security clearances from dozens of people as punishment for alleged misconduct and open investigations into Mr. Trump's supposed enemies.
It is also sought to target ordinary citizens.
Blah, blah, blah.
I can keep going, but you get the point there.
While many of Mr. Trump's directives have been blocked or delayed by the courts,
election experts say that their potential harm
remain significant that some of the efforts have already eroded faith in the process
and maybe that's maybe that's the point
you know like there's so many people that are trump supporters that already don't trust
elections even though they're still willing to vote which is fine do what you want to do
nobody's trying to tell you whether you should or shouldn't vote that is your decision
live your life people
but if this is what if this is the net result of what they're saying
that people are having less faith in the electoral process because of what Trump is doing.
Is it possible that that's the whole point of what Trump is doing?
Is he wants people to have less faith in the election process?
If that's the case, what's the net result of that?
Why would that be the goal of Trump?
Maybe it's because our elections are legitimate.
Some to chew on.
The point of so much of this campaign is not actually to change policy because they know they don't actually have the authority to change policy,
said Sean Morales Doyle,
director of the Brennan Center's
Voting Rights and Elections Program.
We should have a director of
voting rights and elections program
here at Badlands.
Anyway, it said to inject distrust
and confusion into our elections,
both to discourage people from participating
and to lay the groundwork
for calling elections into question after the fact.
And so for those of you who say that
discourage people from participating
when you question elections,
you are pushing the same talking point as the Brennan Center.
Just keep that in mind.
Keep that in mic.
I got to get accused of that all the time.
I think it's such a low IQ argument.
What am I missing here?
Yeah, 2020 is the year that election fraud merges with constitutional crisis.
This is Burns by 100%.
That's why the implemented devolution.
And this Sunday, I'm going to be on the narrative with Burning Bright.
And we're going to talk about this.
Because, you know, it's hard to know whether or not devolution has been,
ended or if it's still going.
I'm not even sure which way I lean anymore.
Because I could see it both ways.
I really could.
And until we fix our elections and get like some form of legitimacy back in office,
it's hard to imagine that we'd ever come out of it.
But we have to at some point.
We have to.
We're going to have this discussion.
Tommy's Russell said,
if we don't get election fraud fixed in 2026,
we're going to be in jail by 2029.
Yeah, probably.
That's a great point.
rebel leader i want to know was the fbi as corrupt as it is now when trump was working for them you know in the
in the upst in case good question romone two two two uh there's mass cheating in every election
end of the line bay theater day i've got to see man nothing changes without total exposure
and justice agreed he was here i'm not sure how i could have less faith in our electoral process
i'm with you there uh tonneiton r p said a dc judge appointed by donald j trump just knocked down
as Fulton County election case.
What?
Is that like breaking news or something?
Oh, here we go.
This is judge's ruling in Georgia election case's latest setback for Trump DOJ.
A federal judge on Tuesday quashed the DOJ subpoena seeking the names and personal information
of Fulton County's 2020 election workers.
Yeah, this is from July 7th.
Marking the latest in a string of rulings limiting what some judges have characterized
as is the Trump administration's abuse of prosecutorial and investment.
investigative powers. In the ruling, U.S. District Judge William M. Ray called the April
subpoena as staggering, noting that it sought the names, residential addresses, personal telephone
numbers, and other personal identifying information from essentially every person in the county
who worked on the 2020 election as part of the Trump administration's ongoing election probe.
Wasn't it just like a couple days ago, too, that we had the FBI say that they're
swarming people who are going to help work and analyze the info?
because if a judge strikes it down
okay whatever
it's like a broad attempt to get more info
but then if they find actual evidence of crimes
then they don't need
necessarily the judge's approval
they'll get a warrant or whatever
then they get it that way
yeah I did see that now so thank you for sending that in

whoa whoa we call the integrity of elections

I thought elections were rigged
from the time I was a voting age
just like sports events.
Aob 22 definitely amazed at how many people
believe there's absolutely no fraud because it hasn't
been presented so it doesn't exist.
You know, I still don't know if
I still don't know if I agree
with that.
I think everybody like, not everybody
I don't want to be too broad.
But I feel like there's a very large portion of the
population and I've said this many times
who understand the elections
are fraudulent, including the people in power.
They know it better than anybody.
It's just whether or not people care.
And that's the part, like, what are we, what's going to need to happen to get people to care?
Design Lady L.A., why does this writer call him Mr. Trump instead of President Trump,
shows he does not respect him?
That is very true.
That is very true.
You may want to see about getting a contract with the FBI for soft disclosure products.
Fed prison is going to need it.
Oh, you guys are terrible.
Yeah, so they are clearly freaking out.
And this kind of does show it's a good summary of this article of all the efforts Trump has done.
And like, what are the net results of that?
Have we seen any meaningful changes?
And if we have, I haven't mentioned them.
This isn't me dooming.
This is an honest request from you guys.
Like, what are the meaningful changes we have seen to our electoral system with all the efforts Trump has done?
that will give you the confidence that these upcoming midterms will be above board.
And do you think like there's nothing else coming?
Because I got to believe there's a Trump card, an ASE up Trump sleeve that we haven't seen yet.
And I'm very hopeful it's just the canceling the midterms.
Imagine the freak out.
Imagine how many people would care then if Trump actually went ahead and cancel the midterms.
C.K. felt in my experience, people care.
good to see you by the way but don't think there's anything they can do about it you know that's a
great comment because i feel like it's not just people who aren't in the info war but i feel like
there's people in the info war who live by that mindset too they care they just don't think there's
anything they can do about it so they just sit back and watch trust the plan you know

I'm going to post this article in the chat for you guys
if you guys want to hang on to it is an interesting one.
Let me see there's any other stories that I wanted to get into.
We talked about last night on the power hour that war is back on the table.
We talked about some of the ceasefire stuff.
Nothing too crazy.
Nothing new anyway.
Processing.
Oh my gosh.
We've seen Lance Twigs finally.
However some of the things that you've already talked about,
but to make it as part of this record.
Let me go down here.
It's from Viva Freight.
Twigs testimony.
And this is Tyler Robinson.
boyfriend slash girlfriend or whatever he is.
Tweak testimony, probable cause
established, period. It's possible Lance's
line through his teeth, but this testimony in conjunction with
all of the other evidence establishes probable cause without
question. That said, listening to Lance
testify and becoming even more convinced that he and others
were involved in the assassination.
So he acted erratically,
was he pacing?
Just sitting down, relaxing?
No, he was
walking around a lot.
And that's within the home.
And did he talk about what he had done?
Didn't go into detail.
I just asked him in person what he said was true the night before, and he said it was.
I started crying a little bit and said he wishes he hadn't done it.
And then kept going around and just doing stuff, I think, to keep himself busy or distracted or something.
Okay. Do you talk about what he was going to do next?
And then eventually said that he would talk to his parents or turn himself over.
And when you left, was that how you left understanding that he was going to turn himself in or go to his parents' house?
Yeah, and I didn't really want to be at our apartment while any of that was happening regardless of what went.
Interesting stuff.
We're stuck in a darn matrix loop.
Is anyone else predicting everything that happens all day, then repeat it?
We basically talked about that yesterday on the power hour as well.
Like, it's such a weird time in the Info War because so many things feel like a repeat narrative.
There's just like, I'm not saying nothing's happening because there are things going on all the time, news stories breaking all the time.
But in terms of like what actually interests me and the things I'm looking for and keen in on in the Info War, it's all repeat.
hopeful theories did you see the war bright part reference on defcon zero john keeps making me think of that
you're welcome for making you think of that but uh no i did not i was not able to watch
