Badlands Media - The Daily Herold: 9/10/26 - Is the $5,000 Trump Dividend a Bribe? Plus Aaron Rodgers Goes Off
Episode Date: September 10, 2026Jon Herold spends a big chunk of Thursday's show wrestling honestly with Trump's viral midterm convention promise of a $5,000 dividend to every adult if Republicans keep the House, playing multiple cl...ips of the speech and JD Vance's follow up defense, then pulls up an old Charlie Kirk clip calling Biden's student loan forgiveness "naked bribery" to press the question of consistency. He walks through the math on where the money would actually come from, argues it functions as future taxation either way, and challenges his audience not to become hypocrites just because it is their own team making the promise. Later he plays a wide ranging Aaron Rodgers interview clip covering political disillusionment and COVID era grievances that Jon finds surprisingly aligned with his own worldview. Other stories include DOJ letters warning states not to destroy 2024 election records, a Supreme Court order blocking Missouri's new congressional map, and fresh Florida grand jury subpoenas tied to the Russia collusion investigation. Sponsor reads and a lively chat session round out a dense Thursday show.

The Badlands, what are the Badlands?
Explain those Badlands.
That's a hell of a name.
Well, good afternoon, everybody, and welcome to the Daily Herald here on Badlands Media.
I'm your host, John Harold, and I hope you're all having a wonderful Thursday so far.
Obviously, we're fresh off the first day of the Republican Midterm Convention down in Dallas.
It's funny, there's a lot of reports apparently of Grindr outages down there.
I don't know if they're true, but funny regardless.
But I want to talk, at least start the show today discussing this whole $5,000 dividend thing.
Because I don't know, that's probably the biggest takeaway.
I would say the thing that most people are talking about on the heels of Trump's midterm speech, midterm convention speech.
And I think there's a good discussion to be had here.
Because I think everybody out there, especially everybody who's watching the show, is probably pro-Trump.
is that a safe
safe assumption
maybe some people
who are like
little fed up
with how things are going
it's been a long
long war
here info war
and I would also say that
there are
you know
most people everywhere
in existence
are very pro
receiving $5,000
like I know I'm
I would love to receive
$5,000
I'd love that
I think most of you guys
would agree with that
but
what is it
that he's actually doing here
and had previous
president's done this what would our thoughts have been about it would we have been okay with it and so
i'm going to try to be as positive as i can because i do believe there's bigger things going on i'm
wrote the devolution series i think there's there's more going on that meets the eye here
and i do believe a lot of the stuff that trump likes to do or tends to do is for reasons that we
may not necessarily understand in the moment and a lot of it might be to get people to expose
themselves, you know, get people to become hypocrites. I love when Trump does that. When,
when Trump is the lightning rod that, as Chris Paul describes him, and he takes multiple sides of an
issue, people have a very difficult time, you know, operating based on their first principles,
especially in today's day and age when incentives drive everything. And usually it's either,
you know, popularity incentives and you've got to give as many followers as you can, or it's
financial incentives that's a big one and so in the moment people will say the thing that will
get them the most incentives at that time and then when the incentives change they'll switch their
their argument and take the opposite side so we're going to talk about this and i'm not i'm not saying
my my position here is accurate because i'm you know i'm not perfect i know you guys probably
think i am but i'm not but we're going to have a discussion about it um
Howard, it's hard not to be pro-Trump when he is the only president promoting candy.
Yeah, Ramon 222, what is the narrative, John, not confident that five grand will be forthcoming?
Yeah, that's, it's kind of where we're all landing, I think.
Because this is not the first time we've been teased with money from the Trump administration.
We were promised dose checks at one point.
we were promised tariff dividends at one point
maybe promises a little bit too strong of a word
what's up ash
clear okay yeah john we definitely think you're perfect
if it comes from the tariff fund i'm all in get your popcorn
817 so
the tariffs we have not made enough money
in tariffs to facilitate five thousand dollars to every adult
I ain't going to happen
I mean if if
if we got to a point where we were making
enough money from the tariffs to be able to facilitate that that's probably a different discussion
but even that i'm not i'm not sure i'm just i'm not i'm not sure i'm probably going to figure out
how i truly feel about this on the show but i did find myself um like one today i'm charlie kirk
he's all over the place right like everybody's talking about charlie kirk is the anniversary of his death
and may rest in peace i'm not going to say anything negative about about charlie kirk you can kind of feel
though like the way con ink is operating they're almost they're almost rudderless without charlie
Kirk because even though i didn't agree with the registering people to vote in a fraudulent election
system and i know people don't like like that uh about badlands that's just my personal thoughts
on things but at least charlie kirk was he wasn't a hypocrite at least i don't know any
examples off the top of my head of him contradicting himself.
And to see some of these people in Connink or, you know, all Charlie's friends out here in
favor of the $5,000 thing, Charlie Kirk, I would almost wager would certainly, you would have called
a bribery.
I think it's safe to say that.
And I'll show you what I mean by that.
What did, I saw a commentary from Phil Scarborough.
And I love this.
Remember to take Trump seriously, not literally.
Don't you should never take him a face value.
That's a great, great point.
But before we get going here, let's get a quick word from a couple of our sponsors.
And then we'll, we'll have this discussion and we'll solve all the world's problems
and come to a conclusive answer of whether or not we should be in favor of the $5,000.
We're going to do it together.
Okay, but let's start with some soft disclosure.
Court is now in session.
Your Honor, the defense calls Mr. Dry Skin, G, G, money to the stand.
We're gonna pretend I didn't hear that.
Mr. Dryskin, isn't it true that soft disclosure is proudly made right here in the United States
while directly supporting six American small businesses?
I reckon?
Isn't it also true that soft disclosure is made with honest natural ingredients
without the harsh chemicals so many people are trying to avoid?
Unfortunately.
And isn't it true, it's made with the help of adorable baby goats?
Can't argue with the goats.
The court reminds the gallery that livestock will conduct themselves appropriately.
Bless your flaky little heart, Mr. Dryskin.
Your Honor, the defense would like to submit Exhibit A.
Proceed.
Cindy H writes, honestly, the best lotion I've ever used.
Exhibit A is admitted.
Exhibit B, I use it on my face and hands, get compliments on looking much younger.
Mr. Drake, I appreciate your enthusiast.
Not greasy at all.
Clean feel compared to other lotions.
Vanilla citrus has a nice light sense.
Well, that is just showing off.
Tyrone writes, I find myself hydrating my elbows
and moisturizing my soul a lot more frequently now.
The defense rests.

All right, guys, let's start with this.
I'm going to get to the clip now.
I've got two of them I want to play to you guys.
And here's the full one.
Okay.
This on the screen.
There we go.
The only condition on...
But the only condition on the payment
of this dividend that we're going to be making so it's $5,000 to every adult the only caveat i have
is that this isn't even the full clip i want so hold on guys i want to make sure i get the we get the
full context so give me a second to find a better clip um there we go what we're doing is because we've done
so well and because our country is making so much money that only I can make this promise to you.
And here is my promise. If the Republicans win the House of Representatives and the United States
Senate, both of them, because of our economic, tremendous economic success, like in history,
we've never had anything like what's happening. But because of our tremendous strength and
success economically. I will issue a dividend to every adult citizen in the United States of America
for $5,000. And now we'll go to this one. There's the caveat here.
But the only condition on the payment of this dividend that we're going to be making. So it's
$5,000 to every adult. The only caveat I have.
is that the dividend that we're making must be spent in the United States of America.
We don't want you.
How would they control that?
Like, how would they know?
Like, if you're going to give me money $5,000, that money is now mine.
I mean, I would spend in the United States regardless.
But how are they going to know whether or not a $5,000 dividend check that they send to somebody
is being spent somewhere else.
Like, are they going to have to monitor bank transactions and spending and stuff?
Like, I don't know.
I'm just asking some questions here.
I didn't even see that last.
I didn't get a chance to actually watch the full Republican midterm convention thing.
Just saw clips as they came up online.
And this is obviously the one that's going the most viral because of what it's promising.
And both, like, it's the cheerleader and doomer scale.
it's a perfect representation of this
because the people who all hate Trump
they are very against this specific bill
or proposal
the people who all love Trump
are in love with it
and I think the truth is probably somewhere in between
because you can love Trump
and love $5,000 going into your bank account
and still think like yeah this is probably the best idea
let me play the rest of this
we don't want you going to Canada to spend the money
we don't want you going to China
to Georgia to
Germany, you got to spend the money in the United States of America.
In other words, if the Republicans win, if you win, we might not win.
The reason the Democrats can't do that is because they don't do tariffs, they don't take in money.
All they know is poverty and how to ruin our country.
But we're making a fortune.
So if the Republicans win, you win with us and you get $5,000.
It will be called the Trump dividend.
We'll call it the Trump Party.
Congratulations.
Now all we have to do,
now all we have to do is we're in under my leadership.
So Ash in the chat says he's treating the American people as shareholders
as opposed to the norm of treating them as widgets.
And I'm curious what you mean by that.
I mean, I think I understand obviously that, you know, it's a dividend.
Like we have ownership in the good things that are happening in this country,
the financial stuff, the tariffs and whatnot.
So we should get a cut of that.
And I don't necessarily disagree.
I just think, you know, like shareholders, fewer shareholder for company, that's,
that technically counts as a voting right, doesn't it?
Like, I guess it depends on how you set it up.
But that's the part of this where it's like, we have all these people in office.
And that's the thing.
Even if, even if Republicans win, I have a hard time believing this thing is going to,
they're going to pass this thing.
They don't want to allow Trump the victory of like being able to keep a campaign promise.
I don't know.
I don't know, guys.
Let me play one more clip and then.
actually two more clips. This one is J.D. Vance.
And I'm going to play the clip from Charlie Kirk.
It's very short of what he
said about Joe Biden and
his proposal for
student loan forgiveness.
And then we'll talk
a little bit more earnestly here.
If we do that, what do is fine.
Mr. Vice President, I heard the Trump
dividend to raise some eyebrows.
$5,000 for every...
Ash in the chat
says, this isn't comping via taxation.
It's coming as a return on an
investment, sovereign wealth. How do you know that? We haven't even seen the proposal.
He just, all he said was, well, we're going to get $5,000 to every person. And then it comes
that like, so some people out there, like Ty in the chat just said, they steal way more than
$5,000 for me in taxes. There are some people who pay way less than $5,000 in taxes.
Is a flat $5,000 fair when, uh, fair when you have a progressive tax?
scale should be different what's up f vn native ash 7076 we fund the r and d of pharma for the world we get
no return on investment got to start somewhere that's the claim of dividend yes also where's the money
going to come from i don't know um let me finish this this is like yeah we're going to do it from
tariffs and again we've only like the last two years last year and this year alone we're just over
three hundred billion dollars total in in revenue from tariffs we don't have 1.3 trillion or 1.5 trillion or whatever
it would be to send a check to every American adult.
Old citizen, if the House wins.
Wait, it raised my eyebrows and both hands went up at the same time.
But if Republicans win the house.
This is for the American middle class.
But if Republicans win the House, $5,000 for every adult citizen.
So you do the quick math, that's about $1.3 trillion.
I can hear the critics' heads exploded.
They're saying out loud, I guarantee you,
the president is bribing voters to vote for Republicans.
I mean, that is what he's doing.
Let's be honest, guys.
To take over the house, and then he's bankrupting the country because the deficit debt is huge,
and inflation would come back if this comes into play.
So how do you answer those criticisms?
Well, I say, first of all, what the president's talking about is fundamentally a dividend
for American workers.
We're taking in an extraordinary round of revenue because the President of the United States
is actually standing up to both foreign companies, but also foreign countries who've been
taking advantage of America's workers for pretty much my entire life.
All of these tariffs, what is a tariff, Brett?
A tariff is when the President of United States says,
if you want to undercut the wages of American workers,
if you want to ship American jobs overseas,
you're going to pay a big fat penalty
when you try to bring that stuff
back into the United States of America.
Those penalties have generated a lot of revenues.
They've helped us pay down debt.
What the president's just saying is,
if you keep it going to the American people,
if you keep us in power and allow us to continue to do these things,
then you're going to share in some of the benefit
of this incredible wealth
that we're creating in the United States of America.
I don't think it's a controversial idea.
It's actually the President of the United States saying we're all working together.
We're all in the same team.
And if we continue to create wealth, that wealth is going to go back to the American people.
I think it comes down to and maybe to expand.
So there's that.
And then let me play one more clip here.
And then we'll talk a little bit more of this.
So like I said this morning, Charlie Kirk all over the news, I was like,
you know what I wonder what Charlie Kirk would think of this.
And so I went digging, used AI to help a little bit.
And I did find an old podcast.
there were multiple options i could have chose from but i thought this one was the best one um an old podcast
episode and i linked it in my my twitter so it's in the replies you can go listen to the the full episode
yourself but this is what he said when he was discussing joe biden's plan for student loan forgiveness
and this was in 2024 so this is ahead of this before biden dropped out i think this was before the
debate and this was um his comments on what he thought just student loan forgiveness was not even like
hey here's a cash dividend student loan forgiveness he can say he can say he can say
are to be naked bribery.
Biden reboots student debt relief.
The Biden administration is proposing a sweeping initiative
to slash student debt for nearly 30 million Americans,
a plan that will likely face legal challenges.
The proposal marks a major new White House effort
to appeal to progressive and younger voters.
With polls show Biden trailing Donald Trump
and underperforming with adults under 30.
Now let's dive into this further.
What is this actually what Joe Biden is doing?
This is naked bribery.
Biden reboots student debt relief.

Biden re there you go.
Ash in the chat again says student loan forgiveness is redistribution via theft.
I'm just curious what you think this would be because as it stands right now,
we are $40 trillion in debt.
We run an annual average deficit of like $1.8 trillion,
meaning we don't, we're not making any money.
It's not like there's a pool of money sitting there that we can draw on to,
send these checks up from. Like the only place this money would come from is taxes, the tax pool
or whatever, or like printing more money to send this out, which that in and of itself is like
just future taxes. We're going to have to pay back. I don't know. We can get into the arguments of like
the it's a fiat system. It's not a real debt. And it's all going to just snap of the finger disappear.
But right now, like there is literally zero discussion of that happening. So I'm not going to pretend like
Like that's what I think is going to happen.
Trump has shown time and time again,
especially these last two years,
that he's going to operate within the normy battle space,
the normy paradigm,
which is not a complete wipe of the debt system overnight.
So based on everything we know now,
this is a redistribution via theft as well.
And I don't see how it's not.
It's only not that thing if we pull it from a pool of money that exists
that we can give to people.
that didn't come from the taxpayer,
but I don't see how this wouldn't come from the taxpayer.
And I'm all for more tariffs.
I am all for getting money from other countries
and sharing the wealth of that amongst the American people.
I'm even all for some of the more communist stuff.
Trump did joke about how he would be the best communist ever, right?
Like some of these companies that have been totally ripping us off
and taking advantage of us
and just becoming incredibly wealthy off our backs.
Yeah, I'm cool with us getting stakes in those companies
and somehow creating the sovereign wealth fund,
which, by the way, the Republican Congress has not codified.
I'm totally cool with us getting share of that.
There's just, there's so many things that still need to be done
before we get to a place where we're thriving to a point where we can do this.
I would be much more in favor of,
of Trump coming out and saying, like, look, guys, we understand there's a huge debt.
We understand this huge deficit.
It's this illegitimate body that we have here in Washington, D.C., that has created all these
problems and spent us to this point.
And I do believe Trump has, like, helped push some of this stuff along, too, which I guess does
technically lend credence to some of the theories that he doesn't care.
And he's just trying to, like, wipe out the system eventually anyway, whatever.
But this illegitimate body of Congress, like, they're the problem here.
They're the ones who have put us in this position.
And so I'm not going to allow you guys to keep funding this.
You guys, we're done paying taxes.
We're going to cut our spending.
We're going to have to fix this problem ourselves.
We'll fix it with tariffs.
Cut spending.
Make more income as a country itself.
I'd much rather do that than just get a $5,000 check.
A $5,000 check that we're just going to have to deal with later because we don't have the money to just do that.
And there's so many different angles we could argue with us or disc,
Maybe argument's a bad word, but discuss with this.
Like one whether or not is a bribe.
Do you guys think that's a bribe?
I feel like if you're defending it not as a bribe,
like you're saying it's not a bribe, it's something else.
I really want to know what that argument looks like
because it's hard not to look at this as a bribe.
I'm sorry.
But I think it's hilarious that Trump is saying it.
It's not the first time he said something like this.
I don't think we're ever actually going to see the money.
But sometimes Trump brings issues to the forefront so that we have the discussion about it.
Maybe that's what he's doing with this.
Also, he's getting all the major networks to cover the midterm thing because of this.
Okay, let's see what else here.
Phil Scarborough, we're wasting time taking this literally.
Obviously, Trump has a broader strategy in play.
True.
But this is like the viral thing of the moment, right?
I'm not just going to not talk about it.
I'm going to say my peace
John I want restitution from the theft of my labor for 50 years
the Fed is all theft totally agree
is $5,000 going to satisfy you
from all the money they've taken over the years
they're going to placate you guys
Monty 710 John look at
it as we are taking it back from all the illegals and migrants
cool
the entire premise is that it isn't taxation
if he's just lying that I'm with you
I mean I just don't see how it's not taxation or future
taxation because we don't have the money to just hand that out.
12 in a new boy guard panel? Yeah, we're definitely going to have a guard panel on this.
It's crap is what it is, says D man.
Phil Scarborough, it's not a bribe because it's not real.
Probably not.
It's a bribe continued upon the outcome of a fake election.
Is it a fake bribe?
Probably.
It's a good way to look at it.
It's up CK. Felt.
Give a $5,000 coupon you need to take to an NGO or government agency and they have to pay you out of their budget.
they can just print the money i agree
they're a day five thousand dollars is life change for many i'm not saying that it's not
i'm not saying that it's not life changing money and i am pro trump and pro me getting
five thousand dollars i'm not against that but i'm just wondering how that how it comes to be
and how that's going to look for us in the future and then you could even get into a constitutional
argument like if trump is going to do this he's going to need congress to
to do it with him.
And I have a hard time
Congress is going to play a ball.
Badlands Media fan.
Maybe we each are granted a choice
to remit that $5,000 to jointly pay down
the principle of the $40 trillion debt to free our economy.
That's never going to happen.
Like if they are like here, guys,
here's $5,000 or if you want,
you can put it towards the national debt
that Congress has irresponsibly spent
and built up for you guys.
Like, nobody's going to do that.
It's hilarious to me that they even have the option.
Like, if you want, you can donate money
to the government to pay down the debt that we accumulated, that's never going to happen.
Obviously, if the option is available, I would take the money just like everybody else.
But still, Phil Scarborough, well, I was going to pledge mine to Badlands, but never mind now.
If we get the $5,000, I expect every one of you to give it to badlands.
Cube stores, are you bribing your kids by saying your allowance is contingent on doing chores?
I do it a little bit differently.
it's more like I let them start with a pot.
And we've kind of switched this up a little bit.
But the idea over the summer was each week I'm going to give you $10.
Okay.
And then every day you have a chore list.
And if you do your chores and you don't talk back and you don't whine or cry or whatever,
then the next day you'll still have $10.
But if you, you know, don't act appropriately or whatever, then I might take away $0.25.
And the next day you will only start with $9.75.
And it could go all the way down to zero technically.
So I do things a little bit differently.
But now we have like a prize bucket where if they do their chores at the end of the
week, they get to pick one thing from this little prize bucket we have.
But yeah, that's bribing, essentially.
Like you guys do something.
I will give you money for it.
That is maybe we should look up the definition of a bribe definition.
A bribe is money a favor or another thing of value offered promised
or given to influence someone's decision or behavior,
especially someone who has a duty to act fairly such as a public official.
Yeah, that's different.
But yeah, by definition, promising money in return for some sort of behavior in this case,
voting Republican.
And that's the funny thing, too.
Like, I had a post last night before the power hour.
And I stand by today, I think it's really funny.
I think it's really funny how few people understand myself.
sense of humor and my sarcasm.
Because if you go through the replies of this,
there are people up and down that are like,
you do realize we already have a full majority in Congress right.
Like, oh, no, I didn't realize that.
But here it is.
I don't think you guys understand how great things will be in this country
after we win the midterms and have a Republican majority in Congress.
And this is really, you know,
it's a testament to how awful the Unip Party really is.
Because this is essentially the message that's being sold right now, which is funny.
And it's being sold by like not just the people that were voting on, you know, Trump and the Republicans or whatever,
but people that are supporting the Uniparty, they're like, yeah, but you just don't understand.
That's not a real Republican majority.
There's obviously people in there that don't support Trump.
So now we, if this time we'll have a real one.
But you don't know that.
These people, just like the last group of people, the people that are in the office right now who got there.
because of the fraudulent election system and the ridiculous primaries and all the money and all the
policy everything this new batch if we were to win is going to be the same thing it's still going to be
uniparty you're acting i don't know sometimes are just so weird right now
let me catch up on the chat and then we can go through some other stuff if you guys want
uh clare cat 367 john what about the irs taxation ramifications of this dividend
that's a good question there too uh vans vaughn once
said as Fred Claus, I'm going to give you 10K off the top of that with the original 50K back.
So that way I gave you 10K, you gave me 5K, I gave you 55K, Merry Christmas.
That doesn't make sense.
If you vote Republican, you'll get a free cheeseburger and fries.
Remember that?
Remember when, who was it?
Who's the mayor of New York, De Blasio or whatever?
He's like, hey, you guys come get the vaccine and you'll get a free burger and fries.
Didn't we think that was ridiculous?
I'm pretty sure we did. I'm pretty sure we made fun of that a lot.
I'm just trying to hold us as a community to a higher standard, okay?
I don't want us to be hypocrites.
I don't want us to be cheerleaders.
I don't want us to be doomers either.
I want us to operate on first principles.
I want us to be honest with ourselves.
I don't want us to be hypocrites.
And you don't become a hypocrite when you operate based on first principles.
And again, I'm not saying I'm right.
I'm not saying we shouldn't do this.
I'm not saying I don't want $5,000.
I can use it too.
But I feel like if it was any other president who was doing this,
people's reactions would be much different.
If Barack Obama came out and said,
I'm going to give you a $5,000 dividend,
even if he didn't have a mechanism to get the money in the doors,
terrorists or whatever,
I don't care.
I'm just saying he said the words.
If Obama came out and said those words,
all you have to do is vote Democrat in the midterms.
We would not be responding the same.
same way, generally speaking. And I know you guys agree with me. So then we need to ask ourselves,
why are we responding differently now? And does that make us a cheerleader? Because nobody wants
to be just a cheerleader. We are not going to save our country with pom-poms and mini-skirts.
It's not how it's going to happen. We're going to save our country by having the tough,
honest conversations and holding people accountable for their actions.
and the things they say.
Let's see here.
John,
is there $5,000 in your bribe bucket?
I wish.
Now, he did specify citizens of the USA,
so only proof of citizenship, you know?
Who cares about the debt?
Who says we have to pay back?
The debt was run up by legitimate,
illegitimate politicians.
The debt is not the responsibility of the taxpayers.
I do not disagree with you at all.
Do not disagree at all.
Let me scroll down.
P.J. Corgan,
You do something. I give you money for it. Sounds like a job.
John, it's because we trust Trump.
Here's the thing. I trust Trump too.
It's crazy.
I'm allowed to trust Trump and be critical of things I see happening because, like,
you can't tell me that, oh yeah, Trump's just operating 5G warfare, all these things.
And then being 100% honest with what he's saying and 100% honest with his intentions.
And then we're just supposed to blindly like cheerlead everything that he says and does.
That is the exact opposite of what 5G warfare is.
5G warfare should require you to use some critical thinking.
And at the end of the day, because we don't know what Trump is doing in any given situation,
what he's saying if he actually means it or if he actually wants a different result,
it kind of comes down to what you actually believe we should be doing.
Your first principles, which are going to be different from everybody else's,
which is totally fair.
But not, you shouldn't, if you find yourself 100% aligning with somebody that you believe,
let me, let me your phrase that.
find yourself 100% in agreement or cheerleading somebody who is like you have publicly said you know
is publicly conducting 5G warfare you are going to be on the wrong side of many issues at least
half probably give or take a few so that's no that's no position to be in because trump himself
contradicts himself all the time and if all you do is cheerlead you are going to contradict yourself as well
helpful you can save hooters with pom-poms and miniskirts will you support an unincarcerated
voucher getting 5k of course not see if you're 100% correct i'd still spend the 5k since i was planning
to vote r anyhow yeah and then what happens are they gonna like is the 5k only for people who
voted republican voted in the fake election for republicans what about if somebody voted democrat
first amendment mike obama would never give it to real americans only weaponize it against us
that's that's not my point i'm just saying if if there was a democrat in office
and the Democrat promised something in return for a vote,
we would be wholly against that,
even if it would benefit us.
Because again, I'm pro $5,000 in my bank account,
as I know you all probably are.
76 Patriot Girl, you are just being opposite,
just like on baseless, must be miserable to live with.
That's actually not what I'm doing here.
There are plenty of things that Trump does that I love.
But there are also things that I don't think are great ideas.
Or at least I have questions about,
and they kind of go against my first principles the bandroid what trump didn't specify is if it's a
one time dividend every month every quarter one time every year no one picked up that no one picked that
yeah he didn't really give any details on it and there's no like proposal out there uh fishing for
truth talk about this five thousand dollars while i continue doing my stuff in the background that
that'll be seen in the long term p j corin if i had five thousand dollars i'd do what any
other man would do in my position two tricks at the same time p j that's funny
I'm sorry, who to F said what?
Citizens got lots of snap benefits and all these fraud cases we're seeing.
John, you're missing the part where Trump said we're going to win either way and the 5K is going to happen either way.
Yeah.
I guess maybe I'm a little skeptical.
I mean, I think Trump wins if we have legitimate elections.
That's the part I'm skeptical of is right now I do not see us living in a world where we fixed enough in our election system to get that kind of result.
JMA-08-02, I can disagree with the idea.
understanding it may all be BS or part of a
sub-up to get the Dems to say and do stupid things.
Blind trust in a man who shut down the country
and still pushes the jab
might need re-examining Trump talks
but rarely falls through from Main Street America.
Hell's basis. If I ever get a stimmy check
from this government, I'll send it to you.
I appreciate that.
Tattoo teacher, at least we are getting something
about, at least we're talking about getting
something from the government. Here's the thing.
If everybody got $5,000 checks, we'd probably
have a lot more people coming to
guards for a little while, which I would love.
See, here we go, Edgar Friendly 23.
If I get the $5,000, I promise to attend at least one guard.
I think we should all make that oath right now.
If everybody in the chat receives $5,000 from Trump, we all promise to attend at least
one guard.
But all right, I think I'm going to move off this topic.
We will definitely talk about this at Gart, I think.
It's pretty fun.
Pretty fun topic, I think.
And I just, I think it's one of those opportunities where there's a moment for self-reflection.
to avoid being a hypocrite.
And everybody's a hypocrite sometimes.
But I think the goal is to be like, not just to not get hoodwinked, as Chris Paul would say,
but to be the most minimal hypocrite possible.
Don't be a cheerleader.
Is buying Bitcoin considered American?
Heck yeah, yeah.
Green ozone deal since I've already attended to.
And we've loved seeing you there.
Simple Sam, 779.
No one is getting a dime to think differently is idiotic.
And yeah, based on the track record.
previous promises from Trump and what we've actually received.
That is the correct assessment.
Monty 710, $5,000 for a guard or an awesome wedding gift.
That's really good too.
The bunny says I'll be in St. Pete.
Yeah, a lot of people are gearing up to go to St. Pete.
Excited about it.
All right.
Let's get into some of this stuff here.
Gold, 4376, silver 6496, down a bit from yesterday.
Bitcoin also down a little bit from yesterday.
It's down to 77-335.
gas prices are steaming upwards. Not fun. $4.27. Yesterday's average was $4.22, so it's up about
$5. In the news, though, we got a few different things. Some of this has to do with elections,
so maybe we can, we'll start with that. Justice Department warns 30 states not to destroy
2024 election records. Justice Department sent letters to at least 30 top state election
officials telling them not to destroy records from the 2024 election.
The letter said that those officials are currently under investigation and are part of an ongoing
litigation.
A department spokeswoman said, the letters went to states.
The department is already suing for not turning over their full statewide voter list.
It's not clear whether the inquiry is criminal or civil.
In court, the department has asked for unredacted voter rolls that include personal
details such as driver's license numbers and partial social security numbers.
It has sued 30 states for data.
This is Harvey Dillon leading the charge.
she wrote a warning to all 50 states warning of criminal prosecution of a non-citizen ballot is counted in midterms
they're also asking the Supreme Court to let it limit mail-in voting before the midterms of the Department of Homeland Security searching voter rolls for non-citizens
we also have an update in a couple of rulings if I can find the story here yeah here we go this what's the day today the 10th okay this is today's
A Supreme Court grants request to prevent Missouri from using congressional map expected to aid Republicans.
Supreme Court on Thursday morning paused a ruling by a federal judge of Missouri that would have allowed the state to use a new congressional map intended to give Republicans an additional seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in the upcoming election.
In a brief unsigned order, the court granted a request by the organizers of a referendum on the new map to put a ruling by Chief U.S. District Judge Stephen Clark on hold while litigation in the dispute moves forward.
Justice's order from which there were no public dissent scheme less than two days after Justice Brett Kavanaugh,
who handles emergency appeals from Missouri, declined to disturb a ruling by Missouri Supreme Court that barred Missouri from using the new map.
With the deadline to send out ballots for military and overseas voters just nine days away, Thursday morning's order likely means that the state will use the map that it adopted in 2022, a different map from the one that it used for the state's primary election on August 4th.
It's my birthday, by the way, in November elections.
so that's not good
John,
have you watched any testimony
from the Allison Inquiry on Vax injuries?
I've seen that going around
but I haven't
I haven't actually watched any of it
but that's the thing.
There's so much content out there guys
and that's why I truly do appreciate your guys
time and attention
and your willingness to give me
your eyeballs on my shows
because I know there's so much content out there
like you could there's it's never ending
and for me personally like
between doing my own show prep my kids
like the coaching stuff I do the business side of things there's so much going on
I don't have time to like watch everything so I rely on people telling me like hey you
should watch this and then I typically just get the clips from it so if there's anything
interesting in that CLLR let me know um Nancy Middy John I wish I could go to Vegas next
week since Guard is next to Arizona where I live but I'm on a cruise in the upper
New England states and Canada you're on a cruise that sounds awesome but not really because I
hate the open water the open ocean keep an eye on Joe D
Dijanova. Yeah, I have a story on that too. Let's talk about that next. Florida grand jury news,
kind of. Justice Department issues Florida grand jury subpoenas in probe of the 2016 Russia inquiry.
Alta Lee Adams Senior U.S. courthouse. Look at that. The Justice Department is demanding testimony
before a Florida grand jury and an investigation to whether intelligence officials conspired against President Trump.
The answer is they did. We already have so much proof of that just in public record.
I can't imagine what they have behind closed doors.
New subpoenas for former government officials are meant to lock down sworn grand jury testimony.
Prosecutors are pursuing a theory that intelligence officials who scrutinized Trump over the past decade,
including over alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election, conspired against him and violated his rights.
And they're for like all of our rights because it was used against him in the election, plus they stole the election.
The work is focused on the U.S. response to that interference and a 2017 intelligence assessment on whether Russia
acted to help Trump at Putin's direction.
Investigators have already conducted numerous voluntary interviews.
Lawyers for former CIA director John Brennan say they have been told he is a target in
the examination of whether he gave false testimony to Congress.
We've known about that for a while.
Last spring, the Justice Department briefly sought Washington grand jury testimony in that
Brennan inquiry, then withdrew the spina's in favor of voluntary interviews.
Remember when that first came out?
Joe DiGinova's like, we order you to come testify.
when they already had voluntary interview scheduled.
To me, that was just marketing.
The current case is being run from Fort Pierce, Florida,
the courthouse of U.S. District Judge Eileen Cannon,
named to remember there.
In April, the department brought back
former Reagan-era prosecutor Joe Dijanova
as a counselor to attorney general, Pam Bonnie,
to help lead the team.
Dijanova had earlier asked Bonnie to appoint him to the job,
and as publicly said, Trump was the victim of an intelligence community conspiracy.
Investigators have also sought to interviews
with officials involved in the 2022 FPA.
I search of Mar-Lago estate.
Brennan's lawyers asked Florida's
chief judge to keep the case from being steered to cannon
and have sued to preserve records so they can later
challenge any prosecution as
Vincent could have been selective.
See, the thing about this story is
I don't
know how any of that is new information.
Like, didn't we already know they were
issuing subpoenas and doing stuff?
I want to see if there's any
word on like where this came from.
The people who confirmed the subpoenas
here we go.
Investigators in recent days
contacted some defense lawyers for witnesses
advising them of forthcoming grand jury subpoenas.
It was not clear how many
as of Tuesday had received a subpoena
or were still waiting to receive one
and the identities of the witnesses
receiving subpoenas were also not immediately clear
the people who confirmed the subpoena spoke to the AP
on the condition of anonymity
to discuss secretive grand jury
investigation. So what I assume happened
here is one of the people who received
like notice that they were going to
subpoenaed, they leads to the press. That is almost certainly what happened. Green ozone,
we are watching reruns. Yes, we indeed are. The Trump admin is also proposing major changes to the
2030 census. Under the proposal, only U.S. citizens and green card holders would be included in the
population count used to determine how seats, house, house, how house seats are divided. Excuse me,
geez. People in the country illegally would be excluded from that calculation along with many people here
on temporary legal status.
The main census would
form would also drop questions about race,
ethnicity and sexual orientation.
Love it.
Bostiat 1776.
Jody Genova is trying these cases out of Florida.
He's serious.
I hope so.
And again, not trying to doom.
I'm on a rug of justice and accountability.
I want that more than anybody.
I've read through every single document available.
that has come out regarding all of this stuff.
From the rush collusion hoax to the declassified documents of the intelligence community,
all of it. I've read through it all.
I think they have enough just based on publicly available information to put so many people
in jail, which again makes me wonder like they have, they have to have more behind closed doors
with the grand jury and stuff.
So I want that to happen for sure.
but we've also thought that John Durham was serious.
Thought Huber was serious.
Like there was lots of people along the ways here were like, this is our guy.
He's going to get us that just accountability.
So I'm just going to temper my expectations.
That's what I'm doing.
My favorite book of all time.
Temper expectations.
Charles Dickens and me co-wrote that.
Kurt Olson is with him.
Says Ash, that's awesome.
You guys should interview him again soon.
See what's going on.
It seems like Eon since government gangsters came out.
Yeah, it has been a while, hasn't it?
Cash Patel, or at least his girlfriend, did get Elijah Schaefer.
One of the people that...
So when Elijah Schaefer, I don't even know if you guys care about this or know who he is,
but he had called Cash Patel's girlfriend, a Honeypot or Israeli puppet or something, Mossad.
And she sued him.
And he put out like this long apology message and how everything he said was like so clearly he settled.
the lawsuit to say that.
I thought it was kind of a funny.
John, don't think you're a doomer,
but more of a realist.
That's how I like to view myself too.
But the cheerleaders call me a doomer.
And ironically, the doomers call me a cheerleader.
So funny how that works.
It's one of my favorite images I ever had
had Grock or JET,
whichever AI used put this together for me.
This is how I feel most days.
Not good enough for either crowd.
First of my mic rearrange why I support monthly so I'm so many disappointment out there I don't agree 100% of time with John but he is real and tells us what he thinks not what is popular yeah
I will never say the popular things for money you guys know that but thank you for the I appreciate those words man
you're good stuff oh we did get this today too maybe I should play the clip of it from Trump
it's gonna get to the right spot here man it's already 1251
Gosh, the shows these last couple of days have been flying by.
I think, where's it at?
Is this it?
No, that's not it.
I saw a video to make Trump announcing he was going to give $500 rebates for the Obamacare stuff.
I know I saw this video.
I literally watched it.
Here we go.
Today I'm very thrilled to make an important announcement
on the cost of health care affecting hardworking families
all across the United States.
Our administration has discovered
that under Sleepy Joe Biden,
American households buying health insurance
through the Obamacare Exchange,
which is a disaster,
and the health care.gov
were massively overcharged,
to put it mildly.
They were forced to pay excessive fees
totaling at least $500 million.
The last administration knew about this,
and they studied,
it, but they kept the money. They just kept it. They never let anyone know. Our administration
is doing the right thing and giving the money back to the people who were wrongly ripped off.
Nearly one million hard work in Americans in 30 states will soon be getting refunds of
$500, each with a check sent to their home address. In many cases, these refunds will cover
the entire spike in your insurance caused by Democrats who solely work to protect
big insurance companies, the big insurance companies own the Democrats.
Congress must now quickly pass the great health care plan.
It's called the Great Healthcare Plan, the cost of health care.
Okay, I'm going to stop it there.
You guys get the idea, getting more money, awesome stuff.
More winning, Hammer Guy 35.
Eric Kee Freeman, what about those of us who are fine for not having health insurance?
That's a great question.
But now, I want to end the show with this.
I do have one more sponsor.
Let me get to my sponsor now, but then I have a great clip here of Aaron Rogers that I want you guys all to see.
Okay, I think this is so good.
Well, we're going to listen to it.
Some of you might not like it.
But first, we're going to get a quick word from our final sponsor of today's show.
And that is Keat.
You guys know, no, I love me some Keat.
Some conversations are meant for an audience or not meant for an audience, an advertiser or a technology company.
They are meant for exactly two people.
The messages you send your partner, personal thoughts, private photos, vulnerable moments,
deserve more than a privacy setting buried inside corporate platform.
Keith is a free messenger, built peer-to-peer, messages, calls, and files are end-to-end encrypted
with no centralized company database holding the conversation.
Keat doesn't collect your metadata and it doesn't ask for a phone number or an email.
That means the company running Keat is not positioned in the middle of your relationship,
building a profile around the way the two of you communicate.
Keep intimate conversations between the phone between the phone.
people they belong to search keet that's k-e-e-e-t-keet in the app store or even better you can go to keet
dot i.o slash badlands daily herald that's harold spelled with an e h-e-r-r-olde keet-t dot io forward-slash
badlands daily herald and you can download it for free and then you send me a message and that is
at john j-o-n badlands 22 and i will invite you to the bad landers group that we got going it's pretty awesome
group so far. So, okay, with that guys, let's listen to this Aaron Rogers clip.
There's no MAGA movement. There's no Make America Great Again movement because the guy you
elected hasn't done any of his campaign promises. And it just realizes you think something's
going to actually change. You know, in the, when Obama's president, you think that everybody's like,
oh, there's going to be hope and change for a better world. Like, is anything in the black community,
gotten significantly better? Is anybody better off? Did the Affordable Care Act make a major
difference in the world besides being an extra tax, you know, for the rich? Is health care that
much better in this country? And then Trump's going to come in and drain the swamp and do something
and nothing happens and nothing changes. Then they roll out that old bag of bones. That was a wild
four years. And then you just bring back in the, you know, the guy from the TV show who's going to,
okay, now he's really, this is second administration. Now he's really going to change things.
politics is a total shame.
Remember he had the influencers go there.
Do you hear that part there?
I mean, I know some people, the cheerleaders are not going to like this because of him being critical of Trump,
which for somebody who's not, you know, when you look at how Trump has operated this term,
to people who aren't in this space and like look at the informational warfare that's going on,
it's almost like Trump wants people to be critical of him.
We have said that many times on the show.
And so to see that from like an Aaron Rogers, who I'm assuming isn't like in the weeds on trust the plan stuff, like I think this is almost like the desired result.
He just said there that politics is a sham.
That mindset is what we want from the public as a whole because it is.
Politics is a sham and the people we have in there are illegitimate.
Like this is a good, good sign in my opinion.
I know I don't love like how he talks about Trump, but he's not necessarily wrong.
He gave, they gave them the fake.
They're holding them up and like that total thing, never got it, never got anything in there.
And that was my biggest issue with it is they said, first day in office, I'm going to release the Epstein files and we've all been waiting.
This is a big sigh up, the whole thing.
The whole, the politics is a crazy side.
If voting actually mattered, they wouldn't let you do it.
That's the truth of it.
I don't know if Mark Twain said that.
Somebody, George Carlin probably would have said that for sure.
But it's like George Carlin is way ahead of his time.
He'd be incredible in this time.
But he said there's a big group.
That's the quote.
And you ain't f*** in it.
You ain't a part of it.
You ain't a part of it.
And that's true.
So we should be skeptical of all of it, everything they say to us.
So does it make you hesitant, sorry, and does it make you hesitant to question things?
Because you know you're getting so much shit for it.
So you can question it in your home personal stuff.
Why do people, the people that don't like me, right, outside of the Detroit, Chicago,
and Minnesota fans who have a distaste for me because of my time and green back, the majority of it's rooted in the vaccine.
Yeah.
Because 85% of the population got it.
And they didn't realize this is a sciop.
This is biow warfare.
and that they're just testing to see how compliant you would be.
I live in California right in the off season, right?
They were blocking off lookout points where you can pull your car up on the side of the road
and look out at the ocean or look out at the mountains.
They were arresting surfers.
What if any of that had to do with public safety?
Are you kidding me?
It was all about what can we get away with.
And I can go on and on about just the absolute fraud, you know, that was going on and the
SIOP, but I mean, you had governors all over place eating burgers and giving out crispy cream
donuts for vaccinations and fast food places, which are so healthy for you, where the stores that
were deemed, you know, what was the word they were using at the time? Like it was important for it to
be open at the time, but you're shutting down churches, you're shutting down businesses.
Schools? You're shutting down. You're shutting down schools, except for Gavin Newsom's kids,
who go in person? You're shutting down, you shouldn't have restaurants. How many restaurants closed
all over the world, especially in this country. And some of our,
greatest cities that just closed and will never reopen because of this idea that, you know,
we were endangering each other through this, but then this vaccine, you know, Joe Biden,
you're going to, you know, all the non-vax are going to have a winner of death and, you know,
coming up. And it's like, we live through that. We live through a multi-trillion dollar worldwide
sciop meant to see how much they control us. And that's why people disliked me, because I don't
give a shit. I'm going to tell the truth. And the difference between the conspiracy and the truth
is time. And six years are passed now. And how many people, I can, I was thinking about
the other day in my car. I was like, I don't know one person that's, that was unvaxed that ever says,
man, I wish I would have got that. I know a ton of people that I've talked to that actually
have a spine and integrity who go, and I wish I hadn't got that. The majority of those people
are not just people that were like, oh, I just believe the government. The majority of people were
told, get this fucking shot, which we have zero research on testing, placebo testing, nothing,
or you lose your job. That's what they were told. You can't travel. You can't travel.
You can't go out and can't do anything. Can't go see your family. But a lot of it was you
have your job. So again, I know a lot of people probably won't like some of what he said here.
And guys, I know I get accused of being a dumer when I'd like to consider myself a realist.
And I don't want to say that there's nothing going on. And that's where I veer from what
what Aaron Rogers is saying here because Trump is laying in the groundwork and the infrastructure
for the golden age. We can say that. I don't think the golden age is here right now.
certainly doesn't feel that way, but it's the switch theory stuff.
We've definitely been wrong on the timing of it.
But you can see the the moves being made and what Trump is truly up against.
And this this moment we're at right now, though, is like, if Trump is truly going to give the government back to we the people,
which I think he's working on and he fully intends to do, that will that will make the government that we see it on a data.
Like the way we see the government is going to change completely.
if he truly gives the government back to other people
where we have legitimate elections,
smaller government,
the federal bureaucracy is smaller,
less laws,
no income tax.
There's so many different things,
and I can go on and on and on.
But that is fundamentally different
from the way things are right now.
And to get from point A to point B,
I mean,
the mindset that Aaron Rogers here is
kind of portraying
is not a bad.
one to have not a bad one to have at all it's still a little normie but but he's a very popular
individual and for him to be out here saying like talking about elections the way he is because he's
right about that and talking about how it's all sham and then going through the COVID stuff again
like this is this is not a negative thing I think this is I think this is a good thing because
if you show this to a lot of people I'll say the people that are just straight up going to hate
Aaron Rogers for anything he says and I'm a Viking
fan, by the way, I think a lot of people would see his point of view. And are we going to say
that's a bad thing? When we think that our elections are fraudulent, when we think that the
corrupt elite have been spending us into oblivion and using the welfare state to commit fraud,
waste and abuse and all that stuff, like a critical mindset and an opinion like this, I think,
is, it's pretty based. Okay. So, Phil Scarborough. Okay, I'm starting to think this is an op. It is
completely untrue nothing has happened. I'm not saying nothing has happened. Just the opposite
why I play this? We should be helping spread the news of the accomplishments. And yet, you know,
I've said this before. Maybe I don't do a good enough job of talking about Trump's accomplishments.
And maybe that's something I should do. Like, I could start every show with here's a list of
five accomplishments from the Trump administration we haven't talked about. And there are a lot.
I'm just like, even in my personal life and even like with business and other people can
attest to this that I work with.
I'm not one to dwell on accomplishments if there's still more stuff to get done.
Like, okay, great.
We did this really cool thing, but we still have this problem over here.
Let's go fix that problem.
There's always another problem to like solve.
It's like how I keep myself occupied, busy and focused.
But I try not to dwell on.
And it's just my personality.
I try not to dwell on the positive stuff.
I try to work on the negative stuff to turn them into more positive stuff.
That's just my approach. You guys know this by now, Phil.
But if you want, I can do a Phil Scarborough segment where we read one or two accomplishments every show.
I'm be dead serious, Phil. We should do that.
Maybe I won't call it that. I'll call it something else.
But everybody will know it's for you, man.
Why not play a clip listing all of Trump?
Yeah, I hear you, Phil. We're going to do it.
Yeah, Kamala being president would have been so much better.
That's not what I'm saying at all.
Instead of giving their opinion, these rich dudes should give real people platform.
I would like that too.
He knows on it's his opinion.
We all have one.
Yeah.
Badlands Media fan.
I honestly would have never known what Rogers looked like if I didn't watch Badlands.
I don't know famous athletes.
Yeah.
