Barbell Shrugged - Hunter McIntyre - The Wildcard Experience — Real Chalk #87

Episode Date: August 6, 2019

I was lucky enough to get to chat with Hunter just hours after he found out he was getting cut from the competition floor at the 2019 CrossFit Games on day 1.    His “Wild Card” spot caused quit...e the stir in the community and love him or hate him, you bet there was a ton of people tuning in just to see how he was going to do.   In this episode we chat about his experience here at the games, his feelings on getting cut earlier than he anticipated, and future goals.    Oh ya, and in true Hunter fashion, we rattled off for another 20min about some of the most inappropriate things you can imagine. There’s a lot of humility in this episode, laughter, and learning experiences. Guaranteed to be one of your all time faves! #bulkpony   ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Show notes: http://www.shruggedcollective.com/rc-hunter ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ► Subscribe to Shrugged Collective's Channel Here http://bit.ly/BarbellShruggedSubscribe 📲 🎧 Listen to the audio version on the Apple Podcast App or Stitcher for Android Here- http://bit.ly/BarbellShruggedApple http://bit.ly/BarbellShruggedStitcher Shrugged Collective is a network of fitness, health and performance shows that help people achieve their physical and mental health goals.  Usually in the gym, but outside as well. Starting point is 00:00:00 All right, guys, I'm back in California. I was just at the CrossFit Games all week in Madison, Wisconsin. Super, super excited to drop a couple of these episodes that I happened to get while I was up there. But this one right here is going to be one of my favorites because it's with my good friend Hunter McIntyre, who also happened to be the wild card spot at the CrossFit Games. And I wanted to talk about that entire experience for him. He did happen to get cut after the first day, which was definitely not what he was looking for,
Starting point is 00:00:28 and I think that he was definitely more than enough prepared. Just made a couple little mistakes here and there. But I also wanted to just kind of touch base on what it was like to be the wild card at the games because I know a lot of people right now, they want to hear his side of the story. They want to hear what happened. They want to hear all the positive and negative stuff that went around it. But if you guys know
Starting point is 00:00:48 Hunter, you know, there's not a lot that's really going to get to him, whether you hate him or love him. He's still just such a lovable guy. And as you hear this podcast, it starts off real serious. We get into all the, all the nitty gritty of being the wild card spot, anything that was positive, anything that was negative. And then all of a sudden we break off and it gets really, really funny, really, really fast in true Hunter McIntyre fashion. So I'm super excited to get this story out there. I'm the only person he's talked to right now. So if you want to hear anything about his experience at the games right now, this is the go-to podcast for that. So before we get into the podcast, I'm just going to hit our sponsors, which is your boy, Ryan Fisher, right here. I just want to give you guys a discount code of Real Chalk, all capital letters for any of the eBooks that I have out currently
Starting point is 00:01:35 on my online store, which is jimryan.com, which is G-Y-M-R-Y-A-N.com. So now I have a nine-week CrossFit programming for gyms, individuals, whoever wants to get into that whole CrossFit realm. I have a whole new book on that. I have my high intensity interval bodybuilding books, which are crushing. Personally, my favorite is the Hib 100. I just love the style of it. I love the hundred reps of everything. I love the interval style of the whole thing. It's kind of got that German volume, little finesse to it. And then also the Dark Horse program, which I did with Mr. Diaz is insane.
Starting point is 00:02:12 And it's providing a lot of great value to a lot of people out there. And they're really, really crushing their workouts right now. So I'm excited to see this thing grow because it's starting to get a little bit more momentum. And we have a lot of people out there like Hinshaw that's doing like the longer aerobic stuff. We have Ben Bergeron and a lot of
Starting point is 00:02:30 these Invictus and stuff who are doing that competition style training, but no one's really done the actual aerobic capacity for CrossFit workouts solely. So the Dark Horse program really, really involves all of that and it teaches you how to be in the right place at the right time to get the best time for you in a particular workout every single time. It's great stuff. And not only that, we also have the video to teach you everything that you need to know about running form.
Starting point is 00:02:56 I had a YouTube video on this and it went absolutely viral over like half a million views in no time. And I only had like 10,000 subscribers on YouTube at the time. So the video really is that valuable. And then the video that we made for purchase on the website is even more valuable, has way more stuff in it. So hope you guys go ahead and check that out. So without any further ado, we are going to check out this episode with Hunter McIntyre.
Starting point is 00:03:21 Make sure if you guys love it, that you share it all over the place. There's going to be so many funny moments in this thing. You guys are going to be dying. But also, I hope you guys got a chance to watch Hunter at the games, see him do well, and I hope that you guys are having positive vibes for him for the years to come because I don't think that we've seen the last Hunter McIntyre. All right, here we go.
Starting point is 00:03:42 Ladies and gentlemen, we are in Madison right now. I'm sitting down with potentially the only person that's worth talking to right now. No, I'm just kidding. I'm sure there's a lot of great athletes out there. But Hunter McIntyre brings the fire, brings the personality. BBHP over here. And he was this year's wild card, which is always like all sorts of, you know, you got the love or the hate, which I'm always all about talking about
Starting point is 00:04:07 because I was the love or hate for a long time. And Hunter's got that personality that he brings to the table, and it's like immediately love or hate as well. I really want people to DM us when they listen to this, and guess what BBHP means. Just DM me or DM Ryan and give us your best guess of what you think BBHT stands for. And it's in the sexual direction. What?
Starting point is 00:04:31 Come on. Don't give him any hints. That's all I'm going to give him. All right. That's fair. All right. So there's going to be a lot of people talking about the event and talking about the athletes who are here, and especially Hunter.
Starting point is 00:04:43 I'm sure people wanted to either watch to see you do well or watch to see you do bad because that's what happens when someone has a bunch of, I don't know, what would you call it, behind you? You have a bunch of. Supporters? No, it's just like there's a bunch of like. Hype? Hype.
Starting point is 00:04:58 There's a bunch of hype behind your name. So, I mean, it's super interesting. I would say last time we did this podcast, almost nobody knew about me in the CrossFit realm, or at least very little people knew about me in the CrossFit Games realm and knew what I was trying to do. And now we're sitting – remember I was just telling you about my idea. I was like, I really want to go to the CrossFit Games on the wild card. And now we're at the CrossFit Games, and I came here on the wild card,
Starting point is 00:05:23 and I competed, made the the first cut which was pretty exciting and obviously anybody who pays attention to CrossFit realized I did not make the second cut and I mean at this point it's something where I think a lot of people got to live their dreams on both sides of the fence meaning that
Starting point is 00:05:39 anybody who was a fan got to watch me compete and I watched a lot of people who were super excited for me get all revved up, friends, family, fans, sponsors, whatever it might be. And then I also got to see the other side of the fence, which is people who just absolutely hated my guts. Did you actually experience that at any point? No. You know, it's always douchebags online.
Starting point is 00:05:59 Like, I bumped into a guy here who's just a total piece of shit. He was on the Brute team and competed against me at granite games and he thinks he's hot shit like he competes at the crossfit like i think he competed on a team last year and competed at some regionals and stuff and like he's a moderately good crossfitter at the competitive level and like he's the kind of person online he's like hunter's a fucking douche canoe i deserve a wild card please people vote for me, vote for me. Fuck that guy. I could crush him. I just want to crush him. That's not what the wild card is fucking about.
Starting point is 00:06:27 But I get it. I get it. But, like, he said all that stuff, and I've looked him face-to-face twice here, and he doesn't have the guts to say anything to me. But online, he'll say anything. And I hate talking about it, even, because it just gives these people more opportunity to just be like, oh, fuck, Hunter did read it. He got to it. I don't really give a shit, oh, fuck, Hunter did read it. He got to it.
Starting point is 00:06:45 I don't really give a shit, man. Like, you're my friend. I'm going to see you on a regular basis. You're somebody who's relevant and real in my life. These other people, like, they took the time in their day to write something negative, and it just, like, goes to show, like, that's really what's present inside that person's life. Like, anybody who's that outwardly negative has something going on internally. And I'm not a Dr. Phil type.
Starting point is 00:07:06 I just fucking know that you're a douche and you have something wrong going on with yourself. Like, I'm just a person trying to live a dream. And if you're angry or upset with people for living their dream and trying to be happy on an endeavor like this, like, that's clearly something going on with you, not me. So I think what's really important
Starting point is 00:07:23 is that people understand how hard that you actually worked for this i think a lot of people don't understand you took an enormous pay cut in your salary to train extremely hard for this i mean you guys if you guys follow hunter on instagram and you watch his stories that are you have to wear a diaper just to watch them because you're fucking pissed yourself but like i mean he that's his personality but he's literally working out multiple times a day with these other kids who are full-time working out and they're doing spartan races but you guys have a gym in the garage and you guys all get after it together and it's a full-time thing he's running all the time he's swimming all the time he's doing all these things
Starting point is 00:07:57 and he like genuinely put the best effort you ever could have put like i don't think you could have done any more to come here. And I think a lot of people are just like, he got the wild card spot because he was this or that and whatever. And it's like, you don't understand. Yeah, he got the wild card spot. He 100% deserved the wild card spot. He also put an insane amount of effort into it and actually sacrificed.
Starting point is 00:08:18 I feel like some of the best athletes, they sacrifice. Income is a huge thing. If you just sacrifice and have a totally different life for a year, and for people to not understand that, I feel like it makes me pit. Right now I'm mad thinking about it because I wish that they understood how much work was going into it before they had something negative to say. And no one's going to be walking a mile in our shoes type thing. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:08:40 If you could walk a mile in my shoes, even saying that's just not going to really give anybody a real perspective of what happened. But here's the reality, dude. Like, this is, I haven't had my ass beat that bad since, like, high school wrestling. And I don't think I really got beaten up, but I just, like, didn't do what I came here to do. And it's very interesting, dude. The cut strategy is a total, it almost makes CrossFit games a totally different sport
Starting point is 00:09:07 because you're going to watch people like – Sarah Sigmund's daughter is almost on the way of getting cut out. She's been on the podium multiple times at the CrossFit games. Like, it's just truly – she might get cut out, and it's a game of averages, but when you start to cut people out really early, it isn't a game of averages because you just – like, I was one and one. Like, I had one decently good workout workout and then I had one really bad workout. And if you get a first place with the game scoring, it's like a giant.
Starting point is 00:09:31 Exactly. A giant, like, changer. Game changer. Here's the thing. Like, being here now and getting to see what the opportunity is to actually be here, I understand why CrossFit Games athletes fought so hard against me just being able to, like, someone just turning a key and opening the door for me. Because it's such, like, I didn't realize how much of a humongous scale operation this
Starting point is 00:09:53 is. It's insane. Like, I've always just hung out here in the FitAid booth, enjoyed the delicious drinks that they serve and the hot babes that hang around and the good times and the laughs. But all we see is just like this la-la land. And on the other side of that, dude, it's like just waking up at like 6 a.m., stuffing food in your face, literally being at the venue all day long, waiting for Dave Castro to come up with some Hubba Blue workout
Starting point is 00:10:21 because he's always so smoking fucking mirrors. Yeah. And you're just sitting there and it it's always just like, get ready. Like, you know, hurry up and wait. Hurry up and wait. Hurry up and wait. 90-second long workout. Rest for two or three hours sitting in the thing.
Starting point is 00:10:33 There's a briefing. There's another briefing. Not warming up. Exactly. And it's crazy. And I understand, like, these people work their fucking ass off. They work super hard. They're like, you know, some of these guys, like, you know,
Starting point is 00:10:42 I remember Marcus Hendel or something like that. He used to be a games athlete back in the day, hard they're like you know some of these guys like you know i remember um marcus marcus hendel or something like that he used to be a games athlete back in the day and he was like working on his dad's farm full-time and still coming top five at the crossfit games like that's somebody who freaking broke his back in training and at home working and then got here and performed at the highest level and then being somebody like like you know seeing somebody who just gets to like skip all those working steps to get here i could understand how somebody could get upset but then even brent fukowski like he and i were buddy buddy by the end of this whole thing he and i aren't best friends i'm not gonna like text him and like giggle at night time like you know saying you know how much
Starting point is 00:11:17 we miss each other but the reality is like i think he respects me just as much as i respect him now we competed shoulder to shoulder he understands the reality of my hard work because I almost even got him in the first workout. And, you know, we both understand what it takes to be out there on the floor, the blood, sweat, and tears, the commitments, the mental game, the physical game, the spiritual game, whatever it is. I think all of that, like, you know, that negativity melted away once the athletes were all standing next to me. Like, nobody had one negative all standing next to me.
Starting point is 00:11:48 Nobody had one negative thing to say to me back there, which I was grateful for. So when you were in the meeting, you felt equal with everybody? You felt like everybody was cool? A hundred percent. Okay. Only thing was, you could clearly tell that some people, and I don't take this negative at all, some people knew that they were coming here just for the t-shirt. Some of these people who came from different countries and had none of the skill skill and physical attributes that it took to be across a games athlete came here just wanted to get out there on the floor go back home to their
Starting point is 00:12:14 home country and say i got to live that experience they didn't care about like you know yeah progressing through the day it'd be cool if they made it but they came here but all those really really hard-working athletes, you could tell. It's just a certain kind of spirit and mentality, and it shows. If I just went to that first workout and I turned belly up, I think a lot of people would have been like, hey, we were right about this kid.
Starting point is 00:12:37 He's a total fucking chump. He never had the opportunity. But then when I showed up and worked my ass off on that first workout, which was an insanely hard workout. Which I think you could have been, like, top ten. Like, honestly, I was right there. Like, for those of you guys who didn't get to watch the event or see where I was at, I had a media pass. And I was, like, fucking ten feet away from him. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:58 And there was just, like, so many, like, little things. I was like, oh, my God, he just waited a little bit. And, like, what I think a lot of people don't understand is it's not like you got cut because you weren't good enough to do some of these events. It was just the excitement level of being there your first time and just, like, very, very small minor mistakes. Like, if you guys didn't watch Hunter, like, he missed a few snatches, like, one after another. And he literally rested maybe three seconds between one miss and another miss. And it's almost like Jason Kalipa back in 2011 or 12 games. Oh, yeah, when he kept on doing those squats.
Starting point is 00:13:27 And he's just like fail and fail and fail. But he has the energy and everything's there. But he's just like he's not taking the second to set up. And I yelled at you and I was like, dude, get your fucking shit together. Set up. And then you nailed every single one. And sometimes it's just like that little thing you need to hear. And it's just the excitement level.
Starting point is 00:13:44 There's so – I mean, I've been to regionals a shit ton of times, but I can't imagine being at the games with all of those people just fucking screaming. Dude, you had a bigger yell than anyone in that heat. When they were inviting everybody's name out and they said Hunter McIntyre, the fucking world went out of control. Yeah. And I'm appreciative, dude. Like, I cannot begin to tell you how many people come up to me and, like,
Starting point is 00:14:04 they didn't care about how I did it at all, dude. They're like, you are so fucking cool, man. You did it. Like, I cannot begin to tell you how many people come up to me and, like, they didn't care about how I did it at all, dude. They're like, you are so fucking cool, man. You did it. Like, you're here. And I was like, wow. Like, people really don't give a shit. Like, I care so much. And, like, I'm not going to lie.
Starting point is 00:14:15 Like, I woke up this morning and I was like, holy crap. Like, it's over. Like, you just waited a whole year to come and only last two workouts. And it was emotionally, like, you know, it was a gut check. I haven't had an emotional letdown like that since like 2017 where I got, I failed an obstacle and I couldn't complete it at the 3K World Championships or obstacle course racing. And I'm not going to lie, I let out some man tears. I went and showered at home and I just like, I let out some tears and I was like, holy crap, dude, like, you worked for a whole year,
Starting point is 00:14:47 and, like, you couldn't get it done. And I had to drop out of the race. And the next day I came back, and I fought like a warrior and did really well. But, you know, it's just like it's that kind of feeling where all that hard work and you just kind of missed your mark. And, you know, it's given me so much energy to realize that i can go home after this and i'm so much more excited about training than i've ever been in my life like i really was burnt out on crossfit coming into this because i worked so freaking hard and i think i i didn't i not
Starting point is 00:15:16 necessarily take it for granted but like i'm lucky i after coming here i'm lucky to be able to work that hard and be able to be part of this kind of experience. I definitely agree. And watching you out there, in my eyes, you belong out there. I've been watching people do this for a long time. You just got the smallest little things to work on. And sadly, today would have been your jam. I know, dude.
Starting point is 00:15:39 I would have been such a fucking Viking, dude. Just fucking slaughtering people, scalping them left, right, and center with that rug. It was a very odd first day. I just felt like that was it was an easier first day i'm just not used to seeing a first day like that and then a lot of the events they're doing today i felt like we're more of a first day type of a thing but um yeah there's a fucking shit ton of people who came here and did a 400 meter run yeah didn't do one rope climb didn't get to the snatches it's just crazy but that's the new sport. But that's the new sport, man. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:05 That's the new sport. And, like, anybody who's listening to this, I'm not the last wild card. Like, there's others coming, I'm sure of it. And I think a lot of people, I think it's great because it's reinvigorated the fans, excited about this new dynamic piece of the CrossFit Games. And then it's also really, I'm sure, got people like Castro and Glassman so excited so they could just go home and rub their hands together and be like, we trashed one of them.
Starting point is 00:16:31 Like, we sniped one of the good guys. I mean, obviously Castro is pretty negative towards everybody. I mean, unless it's just me and you, because we're like probably... Because we're just so fucking handsome and awesome. Damn. The BP is such a majestic beast. And what was the acronym we had in the beginning?
Starting point is 00:16:47 BBHP? Shoot. BBHP? Yeah, we have that. Anyway, I'm sure your experience around him probably wasn't great. Correct? I don't have anything necessarily negative to say about Dave because I don't really know Dave. I know Dave in the light of CrossFit games.
Starting point is 00:17:10 And this dude, I think he took such great pleasure in the design of his workouts being able to take out somebody like myself. Do I think he completely designed those workouts to take somebody out like me? Maybe 30% of his brain was leaning that direction. But I don't think he would have adjusted an entire CrossFit game because those workouts were going to show up anyways, I'm sure, throughout the weekend. I actually liked both workouts for you. When they happened, I was like, cool, he's fine.
Starting point is 00:17:39 Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Listen, I feel like a superhero missed his mark, dude, as I said to you earlier. I'm not disappointed in my my placement at all like i fucking had a blast and i felt like a savage there was never anything out there where i was like hey this is time for damage control like hunter understand there is something out there that you will not be able to move you will not be able to do that you are not talented enough to be able to handle that load or that kind of movement um because i walked on my hands i did the push presses i rode fast i did the snatches i did You're not talented enough to be able to handle that load or that kind of movement.
Starting point is 00:18:06 Because I walked on my hands. I did the push presses. I rode fast. I did the snatches. I did the rope climbs. I did the run. Like, I was always participating in the event. You walked more than anybody out there. Yeah, I did.
Starting point is 00:18:14 I did. That's because I want to fucking get that shoulder pump, baby. And, listen, like, you know, I really wanted to meet that maker for me in the event. And I met it too early. I didn't think I was going to be a podium athlete this weekend. I thought I was going to be somebody who was going to fuck up the leaderboard and just, like, make a ruckus in the room. Because I think a lot of people wanted to see that.
Starting point is 00:18:36 I don't know what the heck is happening right now, but there's fire. Yeah, there's a lot of stuff happening. Fire and windstorm. What was it like meeting Glassman, and what did he have to say? I saw that photo you posted where you were like, thanks for welcoming me to the party. Yeah, Glassman's introduction to, you know, he and I meeting was pretty brief. He was super cool. Like, just a guy who just seems like he's got nothing to lose.
Starting point is 00:18:58 Like, he's just like, you know, he's got a good life. He designed something that's really incredible, and he's got kind of the palm uh the world in the palm of his hands like he controls probably the the fittest population in the entire world in this small little town and he's and he's really pushing the frontier of what it looks like to work out what it looks like to have a healthy lifestyle and he's just having a ton of fun with it yeah so he just seemed so cool like i was Like, I was like, hey, man, thanks for inviting me, and he shot the shit with me. We laughed a little bit, told him a couple stories. He told me he had a son named Hunter, and he wished me luck.
Starting point is 00:19:31 So I respect somebody like that. I've always liked Glassman. Yeah, dude. I think he's fucking great. He always has, like. He's like that nutty professor, dude. He's just chill. His words are insane.
Starting point is 00:19:40 When he starts talking, it's insane. I think a lot of people don't realize that. If you look up any YouTube videos of him talking, it's unreal. Yeah, yeah. That's always impressive to me. Like, there's some people who are super intelligent that just don't know how to let it roll off the tip of the tongue. Like, they're just, they really kind of keep it internalized. And for somebody like him, it's just an art.
Starting point is 00:20:00 Like, he can fill an entire room full of people and just actually capture them for that time and like absolutely blow their minds and that's exactly how this part sport was started the dude was so intelligent and so captivating that he made people be like wow like i actually think that is a really cool way to approach fitness like i'm going to try to run do pull-ups and swing a kettlebell rather than run independently do my kettlebell workout and do like do like a back workout the next day you put it all together dude you hit everything really fast really hard get in get out have a more dynamic relationship with fitness and now look where we're at so now this is over this whole experience buffbeats.com
Starting point is 00:20:40 you guys have heard him probably talk about that a few times that's it'll be in it'll be in fruition at some point but um do you feel like you'd like to go back to obstacle course racing do you feel like you want to keep crossfitting do you want to do both do you want to do something completely different i definitely want to keep both in my life but here's the thing like i would say the same thing to you look how far you've come in business. If I told you right now that I could heal your knee and you could go back and compete, but you'd probably have to fall, like you'd have to cut back on your business
Starting point is 00:21:13 and the things that you're doing right now, I don't know 100% with certainty, but I think you might be like, you know what? Like, I really like what I've got going on right now. Like, I've really built something incredible. I'm super proud of what I'm like i've really built something incredible i'm super proud of what i'm doing i'm super excited i'm super engaged with what i'm doing i don't need that again and that's part of what i'm thinking right now like obstacle course racing was super cool i did it i did the fuck out of it and and i had a really good time and now i think to myself it's like hunter like Hunter, like, you've made it this far.
Starting point is 00:21:45 Sure, it wasn't like a superstar showing, but I think if you, if I'm the person I believe I am, like, I think that I should just, I should stick to my guns and fucking go, I should fucking go at it again. I think so too, honestly. And I'm proud of myself. I'm super proud of the people that support me, believe in me, work with me to make sure that next time I show up, I'm going to be more ready for the day. You're one of the people. I can't wait to come back to California and work with you and find things that I suck at and watch you just beat me to the ground on it.
Starting point is 00:22:19 I'm already excited, man. I'm going to take two weeks off and just sweat and chill. What's up, hunky. Dude, what do you think BBHP, if I was going to tell you this acronym BBHP and it has a sexual connotation, what do you think that means? We're talking to Kenny Santucci, owner of Solace. BBHP. Yeah. Everyone's going to be freaking out over this.
Starting point is 00:22:43 I think we have to say it at the end of the episode. No, no, no, not at all, people. We want people to DM freaking out over this. I think we have to say it at the end of the episode. No, no, no. Not at all, people. We want people to DM. BBHP. This might take too long. Yeah. Think about it.
Starting point is 00:22:52 We'll come back. Yeah. Hips and clam. That butt, hips and clam? That's actually not. It's a fair. That's a good guess. It's fair.
Starting point is 00:23:04 He just took his shirt off. Jesus Christ. Did you wish you had a toned up body like that? All right. Well, I do agree with you. I feel like you should definitely give it another go. I feel like qualifying next year won't be as difficult. You had three scores this year that you crushed,
Starting point is 00:23:22 and then two that were the complete opposite of the spectrum, which you can now crush. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I definitely learned how to clean. I definitely learned how to do handstand push-ups. And there's no certainty that I'm just going to, like, knock it out of the park, but screw it, dude. That's part of the excitement.
Starting point is 00:23:36 It's like, you know, if I just walked in here and, like, you know, just absolutely smashed, I don't think, like, I don't think I'd be as excited to keep on doing this thing. Yeah, you need those experiences for sure. Back to the drawing board. I've been kicked in the penis so many times trying to get places, and every single time that happens, dude, I double down. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:56 And that's why I'm excited to be here. Fuck yeah. I'm so pumped to watch the next year. It's going to be cool. Yeah, man. All right. Well, is there anything else you'd like to tell the crowd right now because everyone's like i wonder how hunter feels i or you know they really wanted to see you another day and like you have a lot of fans out there i
Starting point is 00:24:12 think that are just like they want to listen to this episode just to kind of see how you're how you're feeling and how you're doing and they genuinely care about you well thank you very much um that actually warms my heart when you say that you know what it's i'll admit it's kind of embarrassing being right here um it's embarrassing in the way that's like this whole room is full of people that were so excited to see me and i don't think anybody wanted to see me back here sitting on this couch right now and like i don't want to be sitting including myself i know i know and like the thing is is like but i'm okay with the way it happened, honestly. Like, I'm less bummed because I'm like, oh, he just made some mistakes. I don't think that you weren't good enough.
Starting point is 00:24:50 Yeah. When I think of it, I'm like, he made mistakes. And the mistakes that you made in my eyes were because you wanted to win every heat that you were in. And you, like, if I was, like, your definitive coach, I would have been like, you know what? I think if you had the mindset of trying to get top 20, yeah. Instead of trying to get first every single time, I think it would have been much more advantageous for you.
Starting point is 00:25:11 But I mean, fuck, if you listen to like the Steve Prefontaine days, yeah, that's like what Bill Bowerman used to always say about him. He's like, he gave a gold medal effort every single time. That's why he got fourth place at the Olympics.
Starting point is 00:25:23 Yeah. And didn't get a medal. And he easily could have gotten silver or bronze. bronze yeah and you watch him pass that finish line at the munich olympics and literally the coach was like he wanted gold or nothing that's why he got fourth yeah like genuinely and i feel like that was what i saw which is fucking badass and that's where i'm at right now dude like that's how i've always been dude i've never run a race in my entire life without thinking i could win the thing like i just have always gone and been like i remember the first day i started mud running i was like i'm gonna be the best in the world i'm gonna be the best in the fucking world
Starting point is 00:25:52 and i didn't care what happened and i always ran up front i let my lungs bleed and i let my feet hurt and let my knees get scraped up and i just took risks and i did the same thing here and it's just it's a product design that does not allow for you to be stupid. You have to be perfect. And that's why somebody like Matt Frazier is such a technician. He's just absolutely crushing the field. He's insane. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:16 He's smart. No, no, I don't want that devil water. So of all the places you've been living, where are you going to live right now? Oh, dude, I'm going straight back to Malibu. Cool. I'm going straight back to Malibu. That's always been kind of like my happy place. I've been living where you're going to live right now oh dude i'm going straight back to malibu cool i'm going straight back to malibu that's always been kind of like my my my happy place uh i've been in boulder uh for the past six months because the whole fire but now i think malibu's rebuilt dude i think there's there's a lot more opportunity there i've got a really good
Starting point is 00:26:37 training partner who just moved to malibu's actually qualified for a couple sanctions so he's a badass and i got resources like you and i figure listen if i if i want it i'll work for it and i'll and i'll find ways to get better so whatever that is dude i'm just gonna dedicate to it and i want to start a bee farm and that's probably gonna be the love of my life my girlfriend's probably gonna break up with me because i'm gonna fall in love with bees more i heard this deep thing a few times. It's hard to ever know if a hunter is serious or not. What are you talking about?
Starting point is 00:27:08 Hunter, sweet, sweet, honey? Yeah, it sounds. It rolls off the tongue. It does. It does. It does. Can you imagine spreading that on your toast and just looking at the jar and you're like, hunter, sweet, sweet, honey.
Starting point is 00:27:16 I feel like I would rather have that than a wedding cake at my wedding. 100%. Yeah. 100%. In like a full cheetah. Like all the groomsmen will be wearing cheetah. 100%. I feel like that.
Starting point is 00:27:29 They'll have jars of honey in their pocket just rubbing it on girls' lips as they walk around the party. When do you think you're going to get married, if you had to guess? Oh, God. I feel like I'm a burden for any female in the world. A what? A burden? A burden. No, not at all, dude.
Starting point is 00:27:43 You're a hunk. You're a hunk you're a bbhp i'm just like all over the place and i don't know i feel like i'm like i have i probably pair up very well with like a gay man dude i've wanted to be gay for my entire life i really have do you just see how much more fun they have than us it It's way more fun. Gay couples don't bicker. Not like female gay couples, though. No, no, no. Yeah, like bear porn.
Starting point is 00:28:09 Yeah. Dude, you're an otter. You're an otter. And for sure you're a power bottom because you smile all the time. And anybody who smiles a ton is a power bottom. Yeah. I'm just telling you, dude, it would be so much better. So I don't know.
Starting point is 00:28:25 Like, you might just have to experiment. Yeah. I mean, I'm good right now. Okay, okay. I love how you're honest on this podcast. I'm good right now. I love how we started talking about CrossFit and we're going to take it in this direction. We should definitely experience it.
Starting point is 00:28:39 So give me, like, a ballpark. Do you think you'll be married before you're 40? Personally, I would love to be. I feel like I would love to have some kids. Personally, I'd love to have a Ferrari, but it's not... Really? You want a Ferrari? Yeah, with dirt tires.
Starting point is 00:28:55 No, I probably don't want a Ferrari. I would love a Bronco. Yep. I'd take a Bronco for sure. I'd take a Bronco. Would you just dump your wife and get a Bronco? No. Okay.
Starting point is 00:29:05 Well, it depends. It really depends on the girl. I don't think any girl is going to treat you as good as a Bronco. Yeah, I think you're probably right. I've actually tried really hard to tell Hunter that I would just rent this absurd house on the beach in Newport, and we would just bring a bunch of girls over and just make this ridiculous reality TV show. It's not even hard to do. And we could drive around in Ferraris and Broncos.
Starting point is 00:29:31 I could fund it. It's definitely doable. I'm 100% down. Yeah, it could be the Buff Beats. Hey, buddy. What would you call it? The Buff Beats Palace? Yeah, Buff Beats Palace.
Starting point is 00:29:41 It has to be a palace. The Buff Beats Headquarters. Yeah, HQ? Yeah, HQ. Buff Beats Palace. It has to be a palace. The Buff Beats Headquarters. Yeah, HQ? Yeah. HQ. Buff Beats HQ. HQ. I've been trying to convince Jen to buy a Bronco because her lease is coming up.
Starting point is 00:29:54 It has nothing to do with the fact that I want her to have a Bronco. It's because I want to have a Bronco. Yeah. That's what a sugar mom is for. 100%. I keep on trying to tell Jen. I'm like, listen. I was like, you know that I'm not going to work.
Starting point is 00:30:05 Yeah. I'm not going to work. You're a trophy husband. I'm fucking hot and I'm fun to hang out with. And like your friends are always going to come over and be entertained. They're like, Hunter's so silly. Yep. And like, I want to, like, I will have to wear nice clothes cause I don't want, you
Starting point is 00:30:16 want like a trashy house. Yeah. You don't want that. And I got to have like a Bronco because like people got to be like, damn it. That's a life dude. That guy's really living his best life. Like you don't want me driving around in a Prius. No.
Starting point is 00:30:27 Why would you do that to me, Jen? Yeah. And she's working really hard. She's super successful. So she's on her way to really making that happen for me. Okay. I feel good about that. But why don't you have that in your life?
Starting point is 00:30:38 Well, I think I will eventually. I'm building this house right now in Newport, and it's down by the beach. And I feel like once that's there and it's built and it's ready I think it'll be time for a bronco but you're building
Starting point is 00:30:48 a sugar daddy lair what you're doing right now is like you're putting a honeycomb that all these little sugar babies are gonna come through like oh yeah
Starting point is 00:30:55 come hey daddy and they're gonna come to your really nice house and they're gonna they're gonna think they're like this right here is just is just a fountain
Starting point is 00:31:02 of opportunity what you need to do is you need to live in like actually start wearing condoms at that point like yeah that's of opportunity. What you need to do is you need to live in like a – Actually start wearing condoms at that point. Yeah, that's true. But you also need to keep – you need to just dumb it down. Like the apartment you're in right now, like you need to drain the pool in the back, make it look like much more ghetto. And then when your sugar mama comes over, she's like, honey, I can't let you be living like this.
Starting point is 00:31:21 You come home with me. And then have her take care of me. 100%. 100%. I'm just telling you, dude. I've been thinking about all this. So then with my money, I buy you a Bronco. Is that what's happening? Yes.
Starting point is 00:31:33 Dude, it's like that trickle-down effect. You know what I mean? I actually wish you lived in my area because there's a lot of people that live in my area, and they buy boats together, cars together, all that stuff, and you just share it. Oh, dude, so we're going to be joint custody parents? Yeah. That'd be so dope. Of a Bronco.
Starting point is 00:31:48 We just have like a sweet, like, you know those like- I don't want to drive the Bronco all the time. Yeah, I know. Dude, you know like one of those like sweet like spots where you hide a key in the car and it has like a rabbit foot attached to it so I got a little key chain. Why not? We just get in the Bronco like- We could for sure go halves on a Bronco.
Starting point is 00:32:03 I feel like, I feel like after after this, whenever things like this happen, I feel like you could make even a t-shirt right now that would crush. A t-shirt? A bulk pony shirt. You know what I really wanted to do, and I'll ask your opinion about it, because I'm a little bit embarrassed at this point because I didn't do the way that I really wanted to. I really wanted to write a book about everything that I learned.
Starting point is 00:32:23 Hacking the CrossFit Games is what I wanted to call it because, like, I learned so much so fast. So much so fast because I traveled and worked with people that I, like, you know, I'm sure so many people want to work out with Sarah Signesdottir or Matt Frazier. Oh, yeah, your FitAid. For those of you who don't know what he's talking about, he, on FitAid, on the FitAid Instagram, what is it, the YouTube, sorry. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:42 You can see all these videos of all the places that you went. Yeah. The thing is, is, like, I didn't do that well, so it's, like, almost like a key to, YouTube, sorry. Yeah. You can see all these videos of all the places that you went. Yeah. The thing is, is like I didn't do that well, so it's like almost like a key to like nothing. Yeah. But like I did really get all this research done and I really brought it. I think the title. It's just about the title. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:32:53 So like I just, I really want to share that with people. It's not like really an endeavor to make money. Like I just, like it was such a, it was such a cool experience and I picked up so much working out with so many different athletes, so many different coaches and just things that would have taken me 10 years to develop on my own. I was able to fast track it one year. What if you called it
Starting point is 00:33:14 365 days of all in? Really? 365 days of all in with Hunter McIntyre. It's dead serious. It's like for 365 days this is what I experienced and then like literally like from day 1 to day 12 like I this is what i experienced and then like literally like from day one to day 12 like i was in malibu and then like from like like like legit numbers like from day 13 to 27 i was in nashville tennessee yeah with you know rich froning and i and i learned this
Starting point is 00:33:36 and i met henshaw and we did this class and this is what i learned and all of a sudden i learned this and i learned this and last year i only knew this. And these were my numbers last year. And these are my numbers now. Because if people could actually see how far you've come and all the things that you have learned and all the connections that you have made and everything that's happened in the last year, that's 100% worth whatever amount of money you want to sell that book for. 500? I want money!
Starting point is 00:34:04 Oh, no. But, like, you you know the thing was a bronco every book is worth a bronco at least one bronco the thing was your workout that you taught me
Starting point is 00:34:11 with the pull ups and the handstand push ups that literally took my handstand push ups so far ahead of where they were before and I've been working handstand push ups
Starting point is 00:34:19 relatively frequently but that that structure that you designed of like the push pull pump like it really allowed me to like work on my timing work on being really quick work on and you were against that first like dude i can kill pull-ups all day i'm like i know but it's about the i know the combo i know and then i so i learned that and like that was such a that was
Starting point is 00:34:36 such a such like a hack on the sport and then i remember margo alvarez told me after the granite game she's like hey hunter like love what you doing. Do this at least a couple times a week leading up to the games. It's going to help your snatches a ton. And she taught me that doing 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 on snatches, touch and go, and building up in weight as heavy as you could go, that really made me so strong. I got up to being able to do 215 touch-and-go snatches. And, like, that, like, I never thought about that. And it really taught you, like, positioning,
Starting point is 00:35:11 being able to breathe under the bar and things like that. Be fast, efficient. And, dude, and a lot of people don't realize, like, how important your hook grip endurance is. Oh, yeah, for sure. It's massive. And, like, learning how to, like, come up here and then re-grip, stuff like that, dude.
Starting point is 00:35:24 Like, so there's all these little things that I never thought about. And you could quote each person. Like, hey, Ryan taught me this. This girl taught me that. This person taught me that. And you put that person's name in. And then, you know, I mean, these are like a lot of people would love to go to Froning's little weekend retreat thing that he has and spend thousands of dollars. But every time you go to one of these things, right, you go to a really expensive seminar,
Starting point is 00:35:47 you go hang out with Hunter McIntyre for a weekend and work out or work out with me or you do whatever. It's like I had a great time. This was like my favorite part of the trip, right? So you're going to literally have your favorite part of every really expensive experience that someone would have to have to get these little gold pieces. I remember I spent $200 when I had no money at all getting ready to go to the CrossFit Regionals because I didn't know how to do kipping handstand push-ups.
Starting point is 00:36:12 I could only do strict at the time. Was it a gymnastic thing? It was a gymnastics one-on-one with Dusty Highland. And he charged me $200, and I was like, oh my God. I really thought it was going to be like $50, maybe free, because I was a popular athlete at the time. And when it was over, be like 50 bucks, maybe free, because I was a popular athlete at the time. And when it was over,
Starting point is 00:36:26 he's like, 200 bucks. And I literally learned nothing that I didn't already know before, but he taught me this stretch when we were warming up with the PVC pipe that I had never done before. That helped a lot. Dude, legitimately, it was worth 200 bucks. Just this one movement,
Starting point is 00:36:39 and I did it ever since, and it opened me up for handstand pushups, and I felt so much better. And legitimately, I'm sure you've had a million experiences like that where, like, the whole weekend you didn't learn anything except, like, this one or two things where you're like, holy shit, and it changed everything.
Starting point is 00:36:52 You know what was a mind-blowing experience? Power Monkey Camp. Power Monkey Camp, I'm not trying to advertise for them in the way that, like, my affiliate code is Hunter10. No, I'm just kidding. Power Monkey Camp was so out of control, dude. Like, the amount of Olympians that you met in such a small period of time were teaching you, like, the best tools that they had developed
Starting point is 00:37:15 over, like, decades of competing in their sport. Holy crap. Yeah. That was amazing. Like, that was worth every single penny, like, you know, going there, time. Like, it was so freaking cool. Dude, so we talk about business stuff all the time because we're friends and we hang out all the time. But, like, I genuinely think that that's a great idea.
Starting point is 00:37:33 You never talked about that. I think that's an awesome idea. And I think it's a perfect title, like 365 Days of All In and what that entailed and, like, the whole thing. I mean, there's a lot of people. Dude, there's so many people out there that are, like, there's way more people out there that are interested in reading about the wild card spot than probably reading about the second place at the CrossFit Games routine. Yeah. Like, people only care about Frazier's routine or something that is, like,
Starting point is 00:38:01 something they can relate to. How many of those Catherine David'sder books do you think were bought? Honestly, I have no idea. She has a lot of followings, so you just got to imagine just a numbers game at that point. Yeah. I would say she made six figures. Fudge. For sure.
Starting point is 00:38:16 Fudge. For sure. Six figures nowadays is, like, really not hard to do when it comes to all these, like— Internet promotion? Yeah, all these internet promotion things. Dude, if I was an internet butt model which I might change my career towards dude my butt stuff
Starting point is 00:38:27 crushes I know dude I really want to do I told you we should do butt programs I'm super down I literally you can go ahead
Starting point is 00:38:32 and be dude I don't give a fuck anymore if people are like that's dumb that's you are you're like
Starting point is 00:38:38 whatever or like it's like no dude this fucking sells and actually I'm putting out great content like if I
Starting point is 00:38:43 if I'm gonna do like a funny like butt modeling fucking workout and I do it with you and like yeah it looks funny and whatever but the workouts are gonna be dope dude that was so funny when you posted the other day when like like people are doing like a tricep workout and they only like put their ass in the shot did you laugh pretty good on that dude it was insane my friend was like smacking my ass and shit too it was hilarious internet whoring so ridiculous these days. Dude, I have like a thousand comments on that. And there's a lot of people on there that were like huge in the fitness industry like with blue check marks and stuff. And they're all like dying.
Starting point is 00:39:13 Yeah. It was pretty funny. It's insane, dude. Literally, they're doing like neck exercises and it's just on their butt. I know. It's cheating. It's insane. It's cheating.
Starting point is 00:39:23 There's no value to the content that they're producing other than their butt cheeks. But it's fine because they can have a million followers and try to sell something and they're not going to make anything. That's a lie. They're making something. I mean, if they have a private Snapchat account and they're just double-clicking their mouse the whole time, then yeah. Yeah, but the thing is, dude, it's just a numbers game, dude. I always think about the number one. One percent. dude i always think about the number one one percent so one percent of anything should always
Starting point is 00:39:45 be your like your truck if you can't make money off of one percent of the population that's involved in that then it's not worth like getting involved at all so like let's say you have a million followers one percent of that is ten thousands and if you're selling something for a dollar pop ten ten dollars dude you made a hundred,000. Yeah. That should pay almost anybody's lifestyle. Yeah. Yeah, it's crazy. How many followers you got now? 180,000.
Starting point is 00:40:12 So 1,800. And if you're selling a guide for $100, that's, is that 180,000? Yeah. Fuck it, we're getting embarrassed right now because of math. I'm not allowed to talk about my numbers. No, no, but you know what I'm trying to say. But I guess your numbers are pretty spot on. You're like, I'm not allowed to talk about numbers, but I do make a fuck ton of money.
Starting point is 00:40:34 I'm not really allowed to share the fact that I'm over-rich. I'm definitely not over-rich. Who are your top five celebrity bangs? Ooh. First off, I think number one might be the girl from The Notebook. The Notebook? I just think she's really cute. I don't even know might be the girl from The Notebook. The Notebook? I just think she's really cute. I don't even know what the fuck that is.
Starting point is 00:40:48 Come on. The Notebook? You don't know The Notebook? I know what The Notebook is, but I've never seen The Notebook. It's like everybody's heartthrob cry movie, which I don't give a flying fuck about. Do you want one of these fit juices? No, I'm good. Dude, come on.
Starting point is 00:41:02 Dude, I've already had like seven and a half. I know, dude. I haven't drank water in a decade. Literally, it bad i'm gonna have partied dude i have so much really do it right now yeah for being sponsored by fit aid like you really rep them really hard it's legit and official i'm telling you right now like i've been working with this brand for so long that's honestly that 90 of my fluid intake is fit aid yeah that's what my body's made of that's why i'm so jacked and tanned. Right on.
Starting point is 00:41:26 But they're also an amazing company. Like, not only is their product, like, well-designed, but it's also, like, it's designed by really good people. And that's the only thing, like, I'm going to say. Yeah, the owner's really cool. Exactly. And, you know, if you got sponsored by some mega company like Budweiser and, like, you're, like, a beer-sponsored athlete, like, sponsored athlete, you're just a thing that they have. You're a token. But to these people, I'm their friends,
Starting point is 00:41:49 I'm their family, all that kind of stuff. Well, hold on. So who's your top three movie chicks? Hold on, hold on. You said the notebook chick. Well, the notebook chick. Who else? You remember that girl from...
Starting point is 00:42:03 It was like one of the Marvel movies. She had black hair. You mean Wonder Woman? Is it Wonder Woman? She was hot. Wonder Woman? Oh, no. I didn't really think Wonder Woman...
Starting point is 00:42:13 She's not like my all-time. Nah. Nah. Nah, not that bitch. Hmm. Let me think about it. Who's yours? Well, I wanted to hook up with Jen for a long time.
Starting point is 00:42:24 Yeah, Jen, your girlfriend is ridiculously hot. Well, I wanted to hook up with Jen for a long time. Yeah, Jen, your girlfriend is ridiculously hot. Well, that was the thing, dude. I asked so many people. My friends are such dicks. I asked so many people for her number. I'm like, hey, could you introduce me to Jen? And so many people I knew who mutually knew her were like, no, we're not introducing you to her.
Starting point is 00:42:38 And I was like, wow, that's kind of rude. Like, if you asked me for a girl's number that I knew, I would 100% be like, you know how I'm always online? I'm like, hey, dude, there's this hot chick who's in Newport. Like, if you asked me for a girl's number that I knew, I would 100% be like, you know how I'm always online? I'm like, hey, dude, there's this hot chick who's in Newport. You should reach out to her. I think you two would click. Like, I'm always trying to make connections for my friend. I'm showing him the notebook girl.
Starting point is 00:42:55 She's hot. She's just cute. She's cute. Like, I want to marry her. You know the girl from... I don't want to, like, I mean, there's definitely been girls in my life where I'm like, I want to try to actually break my penis. Yeah. Dude, you know the girl from Wolf of Wall Street?
Starting point is 00:43:10 Oh, yeah. Holy moly. Okay, okay. We can agree on that one. Yeah, dude. That's a much better version of the notebook girl. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Holy crap.
Starting point is 00:43:19 Yeah, she's good. She was Harley Quinn in one of those movies. Like, Jesus, Mary and Josephine. What about CrossFit chicks? Are we allowed to talk about that? No. No? No, it's too close those movies. Like, Jesus, Mary and Josephine. What about CrossFit chicks? Are we allowed to talk about that? No. No? No, it's too close to home.
Starting point is 00:43:29 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You're going to get me in fucking trouble. I could probably talk about it. Yeah, say what you want to say. I think, I've never met Sarah in person, but I kind of like how aggressive. Sarah Sigmundsdottir? Yeah, she looks like she'd be cute in person. Total babe.
Starting point is 00:43:45 Absolutely amazing. Yeah. Such an angel. Like, really good attitude. Always funny. Like, that's one hard thing to find. I feel like she's probably the cutest girl. For me, personally.
Starting point is 00:44:00 I mean, she's a bigger girl. I'd rather her be a little bit smaller. But, I mean, it's fine. My last girlfriend was 5'11". She's not bigger than you. No, she's a bigger girl. I'd rather her be a little bit smaller, but, I mean, it's fine. My last girlfriend was 5'11". She's not bigger than you. No, she is. She's pretty stocky. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:11 Yeah. You guys would definitely tussle. Yeah, it would be. She would probably somehow try to bottom me. 100%. That's okay, though. It's called pegging. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:44:23 Yeah, I know. It's not nearly as cool when you say it like that. Yeah. I'm not as big of a fan of Catrin as I am of Sarah. You know, I think Annie Thorisdottir is actually really pretty in person. Gorgeous. Yep. She's a gorgeous girl.
Starting point is 00:44:35 I actually forgot about that. She's just a stunning person. Like, she just is, like, kind of, like, very. Very great smile. Yeah, just a pretty girl. Yep. And she does, for some reason, like, when she does something or takes a picture, it never seems like kind of like it's almost like, what's the name of it,
Starting point is 00:44:50 like a Maxim magazine kind of picture. She's not putting it out there in, like, a dirty kind of way. She just is naturally a beautiful woman. Yeah. She does really well. I actually like some of these girls that we're talking about more than the movie stars. Yeah, I know. Because I think they're a little bit more real.
Starting point is 00:45:03 I don't think I've ever met a movie star in real life that I was like, gosh, when I meet them in real life, it's never the same. Yeah, it's sad. I haven't met a ton of movie stars. I've just met a lot of famous fitness people. Well, that's because it's your lifestyle. Yeah. You're a famous fitness person.
Starting point is 00:45:18 Did you have fun at Arnold? I never went. Where'd you go? Olympia? I went to... What did I go to? I've never even been to Olympia. I don't know what the hell I went to.
Starting point is 00:45:27 Yeah, I'd be down to go. Dude, why don't you start bodybuilding? I thought about it. We had the same conversation last time, and you've done nothing since. I mean, there's a lot of other things coming around right now. You're like... There's a lot of things coming around right now, and I don't... Like what?
Starting point is 00:45:43 Well, like the stuff that I make... Not that I make the most money on type of stuff, but if I'm going to promote my products, I want to practice what I preach, and I like to do my interval bodybuilding. I genuinely like what I do. You don't have to change your training, though. Yeah, I guess I don't have to. Dude, you literally would just have to manipulate your diet a little bit,
Starting point is 00:46:00 and I think on stage. I would like to actually be on steroids, though. Well, why don't you do it then like every person perfect person to talk to is ct over there yeah i don't know if he would talk about that you think he would dude i mean like you know like it would it's not like he like you know for those of you out there i mean because i said that doesn't mean i i'm i'm not into that but if i was going to do bodybuilding i feel like that was that would be a big reason that's how you win that's exactly what he was doing back in the day like the guy was a freaking
Starting point is 00:46:27 giant and he was winning competitions like there's just competitions where it's legal and it's part of the process like my buddy dylan has been or devin sorry he's been doing bodybuilding since i met him when he was 19 and he's like 26 now and he was he had an insane physique like you just natural and now he's bodybuilding, and it just obviously enhanced him so much more. It just allows that growth, and it's part of the process. But, dude, you could get naked on stage right now and you'd win almost every competition.
Starting point is 00:46:56 Just because of the waist down? No. Primarily, like, you're so developed. I was just talking about my... You're huge. Johnson? Yeah. I'll just do the helicopter.
Starting point is 00:47:05 Everybody else will be, like, flexing. Nobody cares about talking about my... You're huge. Johnson? Yeah. I'll just do the helicopter. Everybody else will be flexing. Nobody cares about your tricep or quad development. I forgot a hula hoop and I just started gyrating the crowd. I don't know if that's allowed in bodybuilding. I would have Hunter's Nut Butter. No. Hunter's Sweet Honey. Your song's like...
Starting point is 00:47:24 Leopard Thong. And Hunter's... Sponsored by Hunter's Sweet Sweet Honey. Your song's like... Leopard Thong. And Hunter's... Sponsored by Hunter's Sweet Sweet Honey. Here comes Ryan Fisher. And it's like, I'm too sexy for me. Ooh, solid song choice. Yeah, and you come out, and you got like little frillies. Nice.
Starting point is 00:47:37 I'm telling you right now. And I don't shave. You just leave all the pubic hair. Big bush. Yeah. Yeah. Have you ever seen a big bush? I usually let my Bush grow out
Starting point is 00:47:46 I call it President Bush And I always offer my girlfriends To have meetings in the Oval Office With Mr. Bush Oh my god Is this real? Yeah I'm like There's a very important meeting
Starting point is 00:47:55 Going on in the Oval Office right now With President Bush I think you need to attend There's something you need to hear about I've only had one girl in my life Where I literally was like I took her pants off And I was like, holy shit. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:08 Yeah. That 100% happens. You know, it's like they're out there. At the time I was into it, though, it was like the first time. I was like, yeah. Yeah. Let's do this. This has turned into a Navy SEAL mission.
Starting point is 00:48:18 This is a crusade. And then after like three or four times, I was like, hey, do you think like, like you never think about shaving that? I remember like I would like try really hard to bring it up in such a way that wasn't like embarrassing. You know what I really try to do is like I'm not a disgusting person by any means, but I go out of my way to try to really take myself like with like weird facial hair and mullets and like growing my pubes out and wearing weird clothes. Like this is who I am naturally. It's like what i like to wear and be but it really allows you to know who's most truly interested in you for who you are because like you know if i wore like rolexes and drive drove flashy cars and like trim my pubes real tight and like did all these things like
Starting point is 00:49:02 it's like kind of like the you should do a landing strip next yeah the typical idea for somebody who's like fresh yeah like someone just might be like i attracted you because you're shiny but i know people who hang out with me and president bush that they they're attracting me because i have a good soul and i'm sure i'm worth hanging out with i think it's probably a mixture of that and you tried to break your penis on that girl. I'm sure it's got to be tough being my girlfriend at times. Physically? No.
Starting point is 00:49:33 No. I'm soft. Ooh, speaking of, look at the scores right now. We're at 311 and 309. Holy crap. That is so good, dude. No Olsen's murdering. Look, 308, 309, 311.
Starting point is 00:49:46 Three points right now watching the CrossFit Games screen from James Newberry, Noah Olsen, Matt Frazier. Very small point spread. And actually, Heppner's even pretty close up there. Heppner hopped right back up there. Panchuk's back up there. I hate myself for getting knocked out, dude. I'm such a
Starting point is 00:50:02 douche canoe. Alright, guys. Well, before we get crazy off-topic here here which always happens with the hoon um i'm thankful that you came on the show i know that whenever anything like that doesn't go your way it's always like everybody like oh how are you feeling let's talk about it and whatever and it's just like dude i'm just like i just want to live my life right now and everybody just leave me the fuck alone so i appreciate you being on the show venting out a little bit and then obviously bringing the og hunter hunter to the show at the end because all you guys you got a nice solid serious 20 minutes and then we went off into what's what's really important which is people are still having a fun life do you think anybody dropped off
Starting point is 00:50:38 no i hope not that'd be dope dude 100 retention yeah% retention. Yeah. I mean, our last one, we talked about losing our virginities. I love that story. And it was most tags I've ever had in a story ever. I listened to that. People got in car accidents. They were listening in the car, and then they're no longer here. So excited. Just throttled it off a cliff.
Starting point is 00:50:59 That would be so sad. But also, it'd be a pretty good way to die. Yeah. You're at the peak of our peak. We were peaking as they repeat. Yeah. I don't think I've ever been that excited about anything that I've actually like hurt myself and crashed a car. So I, I, I hope that I'm entertaining to people. Yeah, for sure. Yeah, dude.
