But it was. I'm convinced, I don't care what the final score was. That game was an under for sure. Yeah. Another bad start for the flames, much like Pittsburgh. They were slow plotting, didn't have a great start. They get to the second, not a whole lot better. And then things get interesting in the third.

They were a whole lot better because they had 18 shots. Right. Yeah, I suppose. As opposed to two. Two feels low. 18th? 13.51 for their first shot in the first period. Not ideal.

It's a major, I believe there was 619 left in the game when it happened, and you're down two. There would not be a lot of two-goal comebacks in the final seven minutes, but absolutely they had a bit of mo going. Yeah. And they've, they've had third period comebacks.

It just felt like that's, that was extinguished. It's, you don't need to finish that hit. It's 100% that's probably the more important thing, and it screwed your team over. Yeah. Whether you're going to win or not is irrelevant.

Vinnie Dunn could have missed the rest of the season with a hit like that, if that was a normal thing in the game. You can't do that. I expect a suspension coming. I don't know what you guys thought. That's a dangerous hit. The shitty part is it's a useless play. And he's going to, now he's created,

if he gets suspended, now that's on the books. You know what I mean? Like, you don't need plays like that. Well, I remember he already had the, the incident in Boston

where he got the stick up on Marchand, which February 6th, which I thought was brutal cold. Yeah, he just kind of comes in. Marshan is chopping away at the goal. He just kind of comes in to hit him. There's no stick to head contact.

I agree. It happened so quick. He's just coming in. He'd have been better off just punching him in the mouth. Yeah, 100%. The same thing with Morgan Riley, right? If that stick doesn't get up, it's a totally different thing.

So last night, five in a game, Feb six, five in a game. And in the preseason, he got a match penalty on a hit on Cole Perfetti again in the Winnipeg game in Winnipeg. So he's not been suspended, but there's a bit of a track record. And it was actually, I was texting back and forth with Ryan Pike. And he brought up, if you remember Matthew Kachuk, they were kind of tired of Kachuk's antics. Yeah. Because remember it was in Detroit and he chopped whoever it was in the back of the leg when he was skating off. And it was really a harmless play.

But he got suspended for it. Because they were tired of his shit. And it was what? It was technically at a stoppage and someone was down the tunnel. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Yeah, the guy was skating off. There was no reason to chop him. It was just you were going to kind of incite more to keep the potential violence going.

And I think it was after the end of regulation. Do I remember that probably there was there. It was there. The whistle had blown. But this was, yeah, it's hard to. Yeah, I don't know what's going through his mind. You're just trying. He's hitting.

He's hitting everybody all the time. You can't adore him with your man crush. and then question him when he does something. He's going out to drill everything in sight. It's classic Marty Pospisal. This is not new. Like there's incidents with him fighting fans in the USHL. And the penalty box.

There's a lot here. This isn't new at all. This comes with being a total grease ball rat, which we know he is, and which is why you love him on your team. And there's been a few that have been borderline where guys haven't gotten hurt. Even the Larson won last night.

So an example would be like a very late first, a B prospect and a duster like a number 70. Are you better off committing to the next eight years at $8 million? because I imagine his number's gone up with the career year. And if he wants to play that way, he's worth it. It's the wrong, like, I agree with that he's worth that. I think for this team and this part of the life cycle, it doesn't get you any closer to a cup. You're probably right, but you're, you're,

you can only base it on history, and that's what we have, and they've been middling forever. It keeps you there, keeps you, it keeps you, but that's what a lot of teams are. That's what the seems big. unique or, you know what I mean? And we don't agree with that plan. Correct.

We've said that flat out. But it is still. And if you, the only thing I would be reassured on was that, it's not reassured, but hopeful on was that the kids you brought up this year have performed admirably. Yeah. You don't want to see a walk or do.

And if you can get a couple more of those at Coronado's, right? Like maybe. Hans X's a late birthday. He's eligible to play NHL next year. Not that he's ready, but I mean there could be an influx of more guys. Porre could be able to make a jump next year in theory. You are going to add some other prospects around Bristavich, I believe is the late birthday.

And there's worse things to have than Hanifin, Anderson, and Weeger. It's true. And it does go back to the, you have all these guys and how good are you? With a career year from March. What are you? It doesn't, but it doesn't stop one of the younger players that you now have from evolving and becoming a top four or a top pairing. It doesn't stop you from drafting someone.

It's just that slow. No, what it stops you from doing is picking higher. That's all. That's the only thing it does. And it eats up your cap and it means that Rasmus Anderson is going to need more than what Noah Hanifan makes because he's younger and better. Is he not younger,

but I think he's a better player. Yeah, I mean, this is in Brassmas Anderson's career year. This is Noah's. So he might be having a better season, but. I just think it's, those are a lot of definitive you're using there. You're not picking, and you're not doing this and you're not doing that.

If you keep Noah, you're not going to tank out. If you sign Noah Hanofan. It's guaranteeing you of doing all of these things you're saying. I just don't think it's. I'll remember this. If this team has no Noah Hanofin next year or does have a Noah Hanifan, do you think there's a difference in the standings? Do you think that they're not going to try and replace him in some way, shape, or form?

If it was easy to replace him, then he'd be traded. But they're going to. They're going to go. They'll bring in a guy. They won't bring in a guy worth $8 million if you think that's what he's worth. Right. So will the draw from. to that guy

bottomed them out to bottom five I think it has nothing to do with how many points to think they are out of bottom five I just I think that's way too I think it's way too cut and dry they won't be as good correct that's my point that

the it's yeah but you're making a point that without Hanifin they draw it's Markstrom Markstrom's the key to yeah and if you're moving Hanifin you may as well be moving Markstrom like it's really a philosophy on how do you rebuild this thing you're also not signing Hanifin for eight years thinking only about next year.

It's an eight-year deal. You're thinking this is a guy who for the next eight years will be worth somewhere in the neighborhood of this money, this value in the national hockey league, this will be the market rate for this type of a defenseman. And he'll fit somewhere in our top four. When do you think this team's a cup contender again? How many years? How the hell do you say?

Oh, I just ask what your guess is. I mean, the new building's in three. Is that a little quick? Is it a reasonable expectation? Well, they've missed the playoffs, though. It's a great conversation, but that's part of the problem. because you'll have people say, well, you're going to be, you're going to be Buffalo. Like if you trade these guys, you're not going to be good in three years.

You're going to be good in 10. Well, I don't agree with that either. I don't agree with that either. But then if you're like, well, then we keep these guys, we'll be middling. Well, it doesn't guarantee you of anything. None of these decisions guarantee you you're going to be 10 years in a rebuild or or middling forever. You can hit a home run on a frick, Johnny Goddrow. Like, you can have wins.

Bergeron, I brought up before. You can get players that come in. And I think part of them, it is like, go back to Chicago. Now they grab, I know, Taves and Kane and first overalls.

Sure. But Duncan, I'm talking about the age of their defense at the time. Where was Buflin drafted? The thing with that, none of them were 30-year-olds. That's, and that's what you're signing Hanofin up

to be when you're good again. And that's why I'm more later. Chicago had no 30 years. No, I'm saying their best three defensemen were all in their mid-20s or young 20s. All I'm saying is that you're, best players can be and you're not stopping kids from coming up and making an impact but because

you have hand it fit no i'm not selling that at all of course you're not there's no one ready to step in the top but that's my point is and i think you can go back forth on all this but you're going to still get draft picks and whether they're top five or bottom five in the first round does make a difference but if you have a good pick that kid at the age of 20 can come in and have an impact. Like you're, it's, we can't have,

it's the word he used. It's not definitive one way or the other. Even if you trade hand if it, even if you trade marks from, you can have shitty picks. We did it before. We've seen that before. Yeah,

But, and ordinarily, it's, no, but I just feel like this is this is one player who I think can fit into whichever path you end up having to take we're going to be really bad oh we're going to try it we're good man we're really good we're really good I think he is serviceable enough I think he'll age well that he can he can fit into wherever else now yeah you can't have too many of those guys but I don't think Hanifan would be he's 27 yeah and and of course not and I'm not here to tell you that whoever signs no Hanifin's not going to like him I think everyone is I think he's a perfect guy to add for a team that's in their contention window because the next four or five years are going to be very good from him. I just don't know if the next four or five years of the flames is the spot where he adds the

most value because they're stuck in the middle. So what do you think their window is then? If you say it's not four to five years. Well, it depends. If you're selling anapen and Markstrom, the window shortens because you're getting higher picks and more of them. If you keep Markstrom, but a lot of Panofin, your picks are more middling and you have fewer first, so it takes longer. I don't know if I buy that. I mean, I get your point.

Now, again, if we're sitting in, if we're sitting in Conroy's office and Tampa Bay has a deal that includes that 2026 first, then our conversation right now is a lot different. And that's just it. We have to talk about things where we don't have the background on what is an offer like. We don't know anything about these offers, right? We don't know whether it's, you can't even get a first or it's a first and an A and he's

looking for a roster play. We have no idea with the offer. Do you feel, excuse me, do you feel like Conroy is approaching this in a traditional sense of I'm going to wait this out right till the last minute? Like, do you think he's got deals in place that are good and he's waiting to squeeze? There's a little more juice left to squeeze. It doesn't feel like it from what Dino's saying. I think what it is. I'm, I'm, that's, it's confusing to me because he's made these deals. And they've been hockey deals. To me, that's what it is.

He did the Lindholm deal and the Tanev deal ahead because he liked the return. I also think he wanted Tenev off his desk because of how complicated this one is and the injury risk. But I generally speaking agree. Yeah, I think if there was something he felt really good about, he'd do it. Yeah, I agree. And that's, look, why hasn't Sean Walker moved? Why hasn't Nick, Jake Gensel moved? Why, like, all these guys haven't moved because again.

I think they finally have said, okay. But agreed, like this weekend, they're in, sell, but teams don't give you your best offer yet, typically. And as we're seeing, other teams are waiting to make decisions on guys. Like, what does Minnesota do with it? Like, are they selling or buying? If I'm a guy like Ken Holland, I'm saying, well, I don't know if cancel is available yet. So I'm not going to, I'm going to wait and see.

I don't know if this guy, I got to wait and see. The deadline forces action. Why are there like 30 deals a day of and nothing? But how many of those are really good deals? Like, okay. For selling slots. But we're also seeing that's changing. No, there's not.

It's not always. I wonder if you actually go back over the last year or four years, if the best deals, if your returns have really been that much better on deadline date. And how many deals, when you talk about 30 deals, well, a lot of those deals are dumb.

Berkey always said it. Why doesn't he like doing work at the deadline? And there's, again, you need to be so inside that the deals that are accepted trade deadline day, were they absolutely not there on the Tuesday, the Wednesday? Were they not there 48 hours earlier? We don't know. Some of them would. Some wouldn't.

Yeah, we don't know. And again, I'm not saying it absolutely means they're going to get better. Like the Camelary one blew up. The market fell apart on them. And then Burke tried to spend some nonsense about that we have to set a precedent. You're not even going to be the GM next year. What are you talking about? You blew it and you ran out of time.

Just own it. But there are years where it's like, shit, there are more cars to sell than people that want to drive cars. And there are other years where there's like, fuck, two people really need a truck. And I got one. Like I got them over a barrel. We'll see what the market bears on Friday. But until we get to that pressure point of the last 24, 48 hours,

we don't really know if it's going to be a buyers or sellers. market. And there's teams on the fence. Like is New Jersey selling to Foley or not? If I'm in the market for a winger, I want to know. Because if I can get, if I can, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if Pittsburgh's trying to squeeze me for the, they're firing. I want to see if I can get to folly for last, right? I think the firing of rough points that they aren't selling.

But. Right. And then if they lose two more this week, it's like, okay, you're nine out. We're fucking selling. I don't know. I saw a quote this morning, uh, Fitzgerald is not shopping to Foley. But. But he's talking, they're talking extension, but they're not close on term. And they'll maybe, they'll maybe talk about it after the deadline if he's still here. He's listening to talk about.

But I'm not shopping. You know, it's like, okay. And so if I'm shopping for a winger, like, of course I have to wait until closer to Friday, because I don't even know what the real ask is for to Foley. Honestly, I think it's, I think it's all dependent on what GM you're dealing with. Totally. I think I think someone like Trilliving who's cut, listen, this is my offer today. it'll be my offer Friday or here's here's what I need today my asking price for this player is a

first and it's a second and that's not going to change by Friday and we saw it with the Lindholm deal it's like here's here's what I want got it are you in because I've got this offer and if you're if you want in you got to do it now and I get it's a month before the deadline or whatever the hell it was you got a shit or get off the pot sometimes and some guys I think guys don't you know everyone thinks these GMs they're smart and they're brilliant I think there's a half of them are chicken shit they don't know what to do they can't shit or get off the pot. I got, uh, da, da. And then, yeah, they get to the deadline. So, well, if I don't do anything, the fan base is going to think we didn't try. Oh, yeah, okay, I'll do something. Like you say, you see some of these deals that get done on trade deadline. They are those smart? Are you talking about buying or selling? Either. Either. Yeah. Somebody's doing well, and somebody's doing poorly. If you look at some of the deals.

Some of them are just deck chairs. Both sides are like, yeah, we're moving stuff. But this is not a deck chair spot that Connie's in. He doesn't want a Hanofan back. He is trying to sell to a contend who thinks they're a D man away. We'll see. I still don't understand what, what's a good return for Hanifan. I think it's a first.

I think it's a very good prospect and I think it's a player. And what's too much to pay Hanifin? But even if I assume, If you're the flames or if you're Florida or whatever. No, here. Here. I think the eight times eight would be pretty. Pretty lucrative.

Yeah. And look, you can't say it would be out of line because I'd put them right there with a Seth Jones and Darnell Nurse and better than some guys making more than that. It's just going to be a deal where you're like, it's going to be tough to get value in it rather than be like, yeah, we had to overpaid to keep them. And I keep going back to last summer. We're kind of fall in love with guys and watch the season and things change. but this summer when we asked you if I said,

if you had to overpay a guy to stay in Calgary, is that the kind of guy you want to build around? You would have told me no. No, and I still say no, but I also say Hanifan has gone out and played. He's out of career. He's, right?

Like, he's never played this way where he's been that noticeable. Offensively especially. Yeah. Just the assertiveness in the ozone is. And if he's going to play that way every year, then fine. But if he's going to revert back to last year? And so what are we trusting?

Is it the most recent? Or is it the full body? you work? Or is it the 27-year-old? Well, that's where D always seemed to be at their best. Do you have Hanofin in the same category as Jones and Nurse? I just looked at the salaries. Like, those guys make nine and a quarter and

nine plus so I can see why Hanofin wants big money. That's more of the argument I'm making. But if you got Hanifin, let's say that top of the market is eight, because he turned down what, 60, which is seven and a half. Yeah, he's turned down seven and a half in Calgary on eight years. So if you're between seven and a half and eight on an eight-year deal,

you're below that nine threshold. Those are some of the worst deals in the league is my point. I don't want to be in that. But that's a big, that's a million, potentially million plus per year. And when they signed those guys, they were number ones that ran power plays. You know,

nurse scored 20 some goals that year. Whatever. No, but that matters because they were, but it doesn't matter. Now we're talking, no, we're talking, now we know what they are.

Right. And they're bad deals. It does matter because if Panifan had 20 goals, he was running power play. He'd be not. No, then that's the only thing he's missing. He just isn't a power play quarterback.

Neither of those guys. Well, they aren't anymore. The seasons they were re-signed, they were. That's the problem with those deals. That's the big. And so that's your fear is that you buy the career year. And it's like, oh, he was just always a three. And now I've got an $8 million second pair guy.

The thing of it is, and obviously we're just, we're just shooting the shit here. And we're testing each other. We're going back and forth. Which I figured out, right? Nine times out of 10, these deals never work. Agreed. You're talking about the extension, right? Yeah, when you pay a guy to stay,

I don't think it's a desperation thing. A lot of times they are, like, we can't let him leave. Remember, Dion in Toronto, seven times seven. God, we can't let him go. Yeah. That's a terrible deal. I mean, I don't know what you're doing. And I don't know that this is quite in that same category,

but they very rarely age well. And then you look back, man, if we just wouldn't have done that deal, we'd have that eight million to play with. Man, even Seabrook, they won the top. That was terrible. And then they extended him and you're like, No, no, no, no, no.

And it was like, he didn't get half that deal done. He was already had so many. His feet were heavy. That was just, that was a lifetime achievement award is what that was. He was already missing time because of injury. Yeah, he was, but he was older when he got that deal. He was. Yeah.

And look, he doesn't skate, like, Noah Hanavan is an elite, elite skater. Like, let's, let's not mince words. This is an incredibly talented skater. I will bet on skaters to age well over any other trades. If you can think and you can skate, I'm not as worried about aging curves. Just like if you're a powerful with heavy feet, I'm scared shitless.

There's going to be a wall and you're going to fucking run into it. And so I absolutely believe that Noah has the feet. The IQ part, I still kind of think it's a B minus to C plus grade because he has every single tool and can't run a powerplay. That tells me, like if he has Hunter Braskevich's brain, he can run a power play. It's just not what he is.

There's no value to him. Of course not. But what I'm saying is that's what holds them out of that elite. Right. Give them all the money, all the term, 10 million a year guy. That's the difference between them. That's the only difference. Okay.

So that's, we all agree on that. But it's eight, not 10. Again, it doesn't. Yeah. For the flames, it's not that. It's, is he worth eight. Well, let's just break it back down. With what he is, what is a realistic,

because if you think at eight, don't disagree that it's a slight overpay, what's, is it seven? Yeah, he won't sign seven. He's had too good to sign for seven. If it was seven, it would be like sign that. guy yesterday for sure and that's only a million bucks but it's just like you've already got a few deals or it's a couple million bucks the wrong way at least you have to be efficient on the cap

it's the only thing that limits how much talent you have but what if but what if this is the good deal do you let the bad deals then snuff out a good deal which almost compounds it why do we think it's a good deal i'm just saying if you think he plays 27 if that seven you're like damn it yes yeah if you take that eight million to market july one looking for a puck moving defense who you think could play, you're probably not, I don't know how Calgary's going to do there. No, they won't. And you just go in to market I guess what I'm saying is so because

Hubert O is on a bad deal, that can't keep you from doing business on the rest of your team. No, I know what you're saying. It should be a cautionary tales, yeah, I'm saying. And look, like I just kept going back to Devon Taves and look, you're not Colorado, you don't have banners, you don't have Kail McCarney, Nathan McKinnon, so it's not fair. But guess what? Life's not fair. That's a better player. And he's making seven and a quarter.

There again, like you said, you can't judge bad deals. You can't look at tremendous deals. You try to get them, though. Of course you do, Ryan. But I mean, like, come on. You're playing both sides. This whole conversation, it feels like. You can't talk about nurse and Seth Jones.

Like, that's the comp of a better player on a really good deal that was signed this summer. And that's the comp. And maybe the most important part is that Devin Tave's. signed that deal because he wanted to be there. Right. Bingo. You may sign. With Kail McCar.

No, no, no, but you're missing my point. He's signed if he wanted to be in Colorado. If, if Hanifan wanted to be here, he'd be signed. This whole thing that we're talking about is fantastic. If he doesn't want to be in Calgary, we have wasted a lot of oxygen. He would be signed.

If Noah Hanifan had truly wanted to be in Calgary, the deal would be done it. It probably would be similar to tapes. Yeah. That's what you're dealing with is. Is he seven and a half? This. seven a quarter and Hanifton turned on seven and a half on eight. And that was the fall.

This player that we have, the issue isn't, is he good enough? Do we want him? Yeah. Can he help you win? No, we know those. Does he want? And that's where, I'll say this. It would be awkward to go this far saying no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

And then you know what? I do want to be here. Like, when does he ask out? Yeah, but that happens. Stamcoast did it. the other thing is to remember even in our profession or our old profession

whatever you want your contract's coming up you're going to sign I don't know I'm not sure even if you really don't want to leave I'm not signing before I have to I'm going to try and push it you know what it's nice in Toronto it's nice in Vancouver

whatever it is because he turned that down maybe he and his age are like bet on yourself we're okay with Calgary but there's no harm I agree that And then you have a great season and I can tell you this too. You trade them. Or can you come back?

You come back, yeah. The deal in Calgary's probably always going to be there. That is true. Not on an eight. On seven. You have to go seven. I guess once you've traded. Yeah.

And I don't disagree with you. I just, I don't get the sense that Craig Conroy has been holding his best deal back waiting for. No, I'm saying, I feel like the flames have put their best deal on the table and that won't change before Friday. Yeah. I, I, I just want to. from Hanifan's perspective.

Yeah. Is it a little more level? Did he turn down 60 because he's done with Calgary? Or did he say, you know what? Having a good year, let's, and it was early enough. I don't know if he knew he was having this kind of a year. But the other thing to remember, maybe he absolutely has no issues with Calgary, loves Calgary, would be a Calgary flame.

But he looks and he says, I'm committing the next eight years of my career, which are going to be the best eight years of my career, my last eight years to really be an impactful player when a cup. Why would I pick this of 32, teams, not markets, as my best chance to lift hardware. Because if winning a trophy is the biggest thing you want, you can't be resigning here. There's a lot to it. So much.

Right. Like I hate to even say it. The rink matters. There'll be a new rink on that new deal, though. Halfway through. He'll have more years than a new one than an old one. And it sounds petty. But I would say this.

Go walk into a new building. Yeah. And then go walk into the dome and go into the room. They're doing their damn best. in Calgary with what they have. I agree. It's different. And it's different if you're a player.

That's the thing. Fans, you can walk into those rings and they're beautiful. You don't, those dressing rooms are like spas. Yes. They are, it's unbelievable. And I hate to even say it because there's nothing to be done about it, but it does make a difference.

If there's 20 offers out there, it's not a $20 million gap. Your chances to win is where it's the biggest difference. Like how in the world could you look

at Boston, Florida, Tampa, Dallas, Vegas and say, you know what? I think Calgary's got a better chance for a cup in the next time. You can't. Take everything out of it and go right now. You just named all those teams. How the hell aren't you going to Florida? I'm going to make the same money. I'm going to save on taxes.

I'm going to live in a warm climate. And I'm going to have a chance to win a cup. Ditto Dallas, tax free state. Ditto Vegas, tax free state. Ditto Tampa, same state. Carolina, tax restate his ass. And like truly for him to turn that money down, I don't hate Calgary, but I don't need to be here.

I could go somewhere else. If I end up staying here, that's good too. And you know what? When we see guys do that to come back to Western Canada, we don't twist ourselves into pretzels. like, oh, the guy wanted to go home. It's not from here. He's an American guy that's

probably the East Coast. And it's like, yeah, like, he grew up in Boston. Would you be surprised at any of there? No. Are lots of people in Boston retire in Florida? Is that just an easy flight down the coast? Yeah, it is. And I know we'll obviously be doing a lot more digging on the draft

and what these players, the draft eligible kids are like. But who are we talking to the other day that maybe the 2024 draft? Is it, Dregs on Friday? We're saying, maybe not. It feels like asking around, it's a good, not great draft class. So it's not a worry like this is going to be one of those historically bad ones. It's not that. It's a very normal looking draft.

There's a lot of D in the top 10, a lot of D, including the Yakimchuk kid, the place for the hitman. Like there might be seven, five to seven D off the board in the top 10. And that's a huge number, especially the last few drafts. They haven't been a lot. And that the teens might be pretty normal end of the first round a little lighter. But again, these are all just opinions of this. point. We've thought we've had really good or really mediocre drafts that turn out not to be those things.

Last year was undoubtedly a monster. Like people were putting that up with the 2002, 2003. I think it was where you had the Getslaff and Perry go to Anaheim with late picks and it changed the first draft. That's the one to get picks in. But also even the drafts that aren't deep, you can still find a past at 24, right?

Like you would be doing backflips if you could find that guy. It's 15. Never mind there. So it's a good draft if you have a top 10 and you want D. also part of it too. And I was going to say, because we were going back there, just things that enter your mind where you're having these discussions, a Haniffin extension.

If it's going to perhaps derail Arrasmus Anderson extension, I don't like that a lot. And then factor in if there is an extension for Oliver Shillington. What do we expect that looks like? Because they're going to want to try him. I think Bridges is the safest thing to do. Right? Like if you gave him two years at three and a quarter,

that buys you some time and you can see what he is, maybe three times three something. I don't know that you can say he's proven without a question. He's a top four defenseman, but you'd be very hopeful he is. What's your thought on? What would you do with him? If you can get him on a lower number,

do you go in six years? No. No. I'm not gambling with six years. Yeah. Yeah, because you could get him. I'm not, I think most GMs are the same.

I'm like, I'm not against paying a guy. He goes and earns it pay the, yeah. If Oliver Shillington turns into an all-star defenseman, we'd be happy to cut him a big check. And you don't have huge obligations outside of Gereyredown, Goddry.

I guarantee those guys are going to be hurt at some point. Cadre's going to want out of here. We'll see what goes, but I think that's a likely out of course. I really think. And he's played well enough that you could do it. Yeah. I really think,

and I actually think that is a massive piece of the public. I cannot see a guy like Cadry, the way he plays, the rumors you hear about the personality. He doesn't want to play a team that's going to bottom out. Bottom out. Bottom out. Yeah. You said as much public.

It's not the secret at all. No. So, yeah, I'm not really making a wild statement. I'd be doing everything I could to move that guy right now. He's helped the young guys. He's done. He looks good. He's making plays.

Yeah. You know what you're getting. Like, he's a lot of money. But two years ago, everyone was going to pay him. He turned down more. His salary is not an issue. If he's going to play that. His term is an issue because he's going to be 35 in camp, 34 in October.

before the season starts it'll be 34 so are you going to buy 34 35 36 37 38 that's risk so you can eat salary can you also eat years can you make him like 28 you can buy him out we'll pay him two thirds the money and four years of salary and three years off of his burst unfortunately not the other one that we haven't discussed is Markstrom because we talked about yesterday a lot

and I want you know if he doesn't like it here why has he not said I waived by no trade because I think he likes it here. Okay, but then he was saying in the news. I think there's a lot we don't know about what's going on there. He's very competitive and he wants to win.

But that's fine. If he likes it here, that's great. You want to stay then why do you say, I don't like how it was handled? And if you didn't like how it was handed on you're looking at moving because you want to compete for a cup, I don't begrudge him for any of that. Wave your, no trade.
