More about an hour.
An hour from where we usually start.
Maybe an hour and a bit.
We're an hour and a half late, but an hour from where we usually start.
Yeah.
But I think we're about half an hour early from where we said we would be today.
It's a good point.
We've jumped to the gun.
You're welcome.
You're welcome for that.
And we look damn good.
Yeah, or at least as good as we get.
For us.
Yeah, it's about as good as we get.
No hoodie, no hat.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Did you brush your teeth?
today too? No. Go all out. No, I didn't think so. Come on. Come on. Only so much a guy can do.
So yes, thank you for for hopping on the old pod today as we get into it on a Thursday. Jack,
how are we doing? How are you doing? How are we feeling? I'm doing good. I got to sleep in a little bit
today. Yeah, yeah. Do I look spry? You look spry too. Thank you. Very sharp.
Why you get you a new hat? Yeah, this one's getting a little dirty.
Speed up pretty good. A little sweaty. It is a little sweaty. It is a little sweaty.
Yeah. It's my gym hat.
Get the salt ring on that.
I've tried to wash it a couple times.
What do you do to wash your hats?
I'll put them in the dishwasher.
She puts them in a dishwasher.
Is that what you do?
Yep.
She did one.
My middle guy was a big Panthers fan and he had my draft hat.
Right.
And it was put to good use.
Sweaty.
Sweaty.
And she did it the other day.
Looks sharp again.
It's all right.
Brand new.
So are we just using the same dish soap in there?
She bought some, I think there's even a mold for it or some damn thing.
Yeah.
I feel like if I bought the molds, it'd be cheaper to buy a new hat.
That's what I'm thinking.
That's what I'm thinking.
Well, we'll get into it today on this Not a Flames game day.
One preseason game left and then next week.
Next week today.
No kid.
We'll be discussing game one of the season, I believe.
Because they start on Wednesday in Vancouver to do that?
They'll be undefeated or the other thing?
Or the other one.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Are we excited?
For sure.
Yeah.
Yeah.
New boomer hat.
Okay.
I don't get it.
I thought it said hot.
I got excited.
I'm feeling pretty good.
Oh, hat.
Yeah, all right.
Yes, I'm excited.
Why not?
You know, everyone asks when we were at an event this morning.
And one of the people say, so what do you think about the flames this year?
I said, well, I don't know that they're going to be all that good,
but somehow, some way we might all be entertained by it.
there might be some individual performances and you may enjoy watching but they might not have a lot of points.
Yeah, it might not be a lot of wins, but you might leave the saddle.
I'm thinking, you know, hey, good job, boys.
You didn't win, but we're happy with what we got.
Entertained us?
Yeah.
And isn't that what it's all about in the end?
Sure is, Dean.
That's what Canadian fans are known for.
They're understanding and their willingness to support their team just for the entertainment value.
When it comes to hockey in Canada, it's not really about wins and losses.
it's just about having fun and enjoying my brother was at the hitman game yesterday he said it was a
raucous crowd oh really rockus crowd about 1800 yeah yeah just packed in there yeah just enjoying the game
well there you go the calgary kids were putting on a show apparently but not the calgary hitman
kids the kids have played hockey in calgary now play for the plates i'll play somewhere else yeah
there's more of those now it feels like it does it does there was a long stretch
I'm trying to remember.
I think it was
Dead Pock era.
Like Thomas Hickey.
He's the only guy
out of Calgary,
or Mike Green,
right?
Capitalist.
Just a brand.
Nobody.
How come no Calgary kids
ever make the...
A lot of kids playing hockey here.
Sure is.
Lots.
Yeah.
Hey, Jack.
Guess who I ran into
at the rink yesterday.
Hmm.
Rett?
My daughter had a ringette game.
I ran into Rett Warner.
Wow.
spoke to them.
Really, in public.
I asked them to keep
distance.
We got a lot of fans.
We are work acquaintances.
We're not buddies.
Just distance.
Keep your distance.
But I can tell you this,
and I believe this to be true,
both of our kids left
Trico yesterday, victorious.
Oh, just we just
snot-bubbled McNate.
Yeah, those Mustangs.
Mustangs stumbling over themselves.
Yeah.
Take the Mustangs.
to the glue farm.
How was the ringette?
I don't know the name of the ringette teams.
I've seen the jerseys before.
It's associations.
And then from there you pick your own names kind of thing.
Oh, okay.
Yeah.
So there's Northwest and I think it's Calgary South, I think.
Bowview, of which we are.
There's foothills, which is Okotoki, Okotoki area.
Yeah.
And then there's Indus.
They've got a group out there.
I'm probably forgetting somebody else, but it's not a lot.
It's,
you know, it's kind of forgotten about.
You'll get ice when all the other people get their ice.
The kid played out.
Yeah, she was very excited.
She was more stressed.
She'd been a goalie for two years, and this was her for a dad.
I'm nervous.
So how did it afterwards?
How long were you nervous?
Did you get?
Well, everybody else was nervous too.
So then I didn't feel so bad.
So everybody was nervous.
I can tell you this.
My kid was not nervous.
No?
Could have cared less.
Yeah.
I actually said, could you at least just give it 30 seconds of thought?
Yeah.
Take the give a crap meter and let's just turn it up just a little bit.
Turn it on.
Let's just have it idling, but on.
The give a damn, turn it up just a smidge, just a smidge.
But hey, you know what?
Look at us.
You know, families.
It's what's important to us.
We're just giving back to the community, dude.
I don't really know what I did.
I tied her skates.
I saw you tied skates.
when does that end?
I thought by now.
Yeah,
for sure I would have thought by now,
but she,
they need to be very tight.
Oh,
see,
I've refused to tie my youngest now.
Ten was always my,
I don't care.
If you can't do it by 10,
then.
Yeah.
One of her teammates,
and I tried to convince her
that maybe she could do this,
takes the stick and kind of rolls the,
the laces over,
and then you can pull with the stick,
so it's a little easier,
and you kind of do that sort of thing.
No,
no,
it's okay,
dad you're here i've got you you're right here why would i do that seems to make more so much quicker
if you do it so um yeah so congrats and your win thanks you too yeah thanks yeah did you just like
baseball champagne and yeah it was we had the uh the goggles going yeah yeah it's so great
huge so huge there was no champagne in the flame room last night oh really their first regulation
loss of the preseason.
Oh, damn it.
Because they won and they won, and then they won and they won.
And there was a loss in there, if you remember to the Canucks,
they wanted in a, I guess it was overtime, right?
OT loss, yeah.
They won that.
So that's not a regulation.
You know, fix that or just leave it?
No, because I think if I try to tackle it, it's going to cost more issues that we're.
Clink, clank, clank, clank.
Yeah.
So, so sad, I thought maybe they'd run the table.
And then Jack would be on board
the great like last year with his
steel curtain
All it takes was a strong preseason
to suck Jack in.
He's got seven jerseys.
He's dialed in.
He's betting big bucks on him.
Can he pick it baby?
This is going to be a great ear.
Where is he now?
He's in Philly.
Right.
Backing up hurts.
Because I was going to say I saw him
on a sideline.
I think maybe on the weekend or last week.
Oh, so there he.
is. Yeah. So not only is he not starting, but the Steelers just said, get out. Yeah. Get out of it. It ends
quickly. Yeah, it sure does. It sure does. We'll talk about football coming up. So what happened
to our beloved flames? Uh, you want to take a look? See? Let's walk. Well, you know, I'll tell you
this before we, before we started. Uh, just come back to us, Jack. We're just so people can see we're
going to converse. The, uh, so here, not a lot of veterans. We showed the Winnipeg lineup yesterday.
It was riddled with veterans.
Pretty much an opening night, kind of what you would expect in the regular season for them.
Not a lot of veterans.
They actually called up Clark Bishop and Jonathan Asperot, if that's how you say his name, from the Wranglers.
They'd already been on waivers, cleared, sent down, come on back up, because we're not taking a whole bunch of vets.
So of the forwards who stayed home, Huberto, Cadry, Kuzmenko, Sharon Govich, Backland, Coleman, Pospisole.
Lomberg and Hansick.
One of these things is not like the other.
Maybe it does, maybe it does belong if you think one, but that was.
Oh,
does this mean that Hansick has played himself?
He doesn't, he's shown all he needs to show. Is he in there?
Hmm. Well, Connors Air he went and does he have the sniffles?
Or does he have the sniffles? Yeah. Let's pretend it's not the sniffles.
Okay.
Who,
who,
drama.
What does this mean
for Sam Hansick?
Could it be nothing
or could it be something?
I'm thinking about it
from the,
what does this mean
for the flames?
Mm-hmm.
They've hit a home run
with this
mid-first-round pick.
Which you hope you would.
I hope so.
Some were skeptical.
Who?
I don't know.
I had heard that there were some.
Rumblings and stuff.
Some were skeptical
that may be this pick.
Well,
I'll tell you prove yourself.
Yeah.
Um,
So very much
Zeri with Hunt and Matha
Schwint between Peltche and Frick.
Mantha must be pissed.
Yeah, he did not look too engaged.
I got to go to win in what I watched.
He was on the power play.
Just kind of like,
ah, you take it.
I'll be out here at the point.
You guys go to work down low.
I'm good up here.
Kevin Ball got into a game.
Been waiting to see Ball.
And?
He was paired with Tyson Barry.
Mm-hmm.
It's tough to.
It was one of those games.
Well,
let's,
we'll take a look at the highlights.
Why don't we do that now?
We can do it.
And if you want to react to them as we play,
you may,
you may react to them.
So it's first period action here,
12 minutes remaining.
Little shot on net coming up here.
Put it on the net.
Tipped in front,
Martin Furke.
He's a veteran.
I was going to say.
He's a veteran.
Pretty good player.
Eggs.
Wasn't eggs 93?
That's right.
Sam Bennett.
So 1-0 for the flames.
This is a nice goal here.
Shifley to Valardi to Eilers.
That's a power play.
That's a well-run power player.
They do that all the time.
Valardi down low, real good.
Puck's going to come right to Nino Nider Rider,
and he's going to say, okay, I'm all alone here.
Do you want to press pause?
You need to pause there?
And even rewind just to re-rack that goal.
Okay, who's number 42?
So that's the, that's the shot in front.
So there's Frick's goal.
Sorry, I'm messing this all up.
Well, that's tough because we're not really.
Don't really have the technology for it.
But so there's more.
There's a nice power play goal.
Right in front.
Not ideal.
So this is the, Nieder rider is going to be left alone in front.
Pause.
I watched my kid play over the weekend and I noticed a lot of the same things.
And I watched NHL games.
I saw a lot of it in Buffalo last year where the front of the net.
If you had a telestrator, what would you be circling?
I would be circling with two flames players.
Yeah.
And just the whole slot area in general, in my opinion, it's a very nice place to be if you're trying to score goals.
So the guy in the blue sweater right in front of Wolf, is that?
That's not ideal.
That's the most troubling.
That's not ideal.
We're falling atop of each other.
And then when you get stuck on the wrong side, you may want to get physical.
Right.
Okay.
As a defender, right?
Like, I don't, you don't have to make a play on or with the puck all the time.
And in the slot, oftentimes it's to your own benefit, again, as a defender, to just eliminate the man in the stick.
Yeah.
I wonder what's going through Wolf's mind at this time.
You're all alone in front, for sure.
And I see five white sweaters, so you're not short-handed.
You aren't short-handed.
Stick-check, stick-check, fall.
So not much there.
for Wolf to do as leader writer gets it makes a play goes back and uh watch him tied up here this
is uh restevich who has had a very good camp he's going to grab the puck carry it in put it on net
Justin kirkland's going to whack away whack away they get one to go so they've now tied it at two
jets though do start to take over a little bit jump ahead to the third valardi trying to walk to the net
how soft that is. Yeah, it's.
Is that the kid?
I think it was,
48. Yeah.
Just lean on them there, push him out.
No. And we're falling on our goalie a little bit too.
There, because Zeri kind of tumbles into him.
Now, watch Prostevich here.
He's going to get the puck behind the net. He throws on the brakes.
I'm going to do a little, well, I'm going to peel away here.
I'm going to go. I'm going to throw the back up over the other way.
I'm going to skate with the puck.
Oh, I'm so tired.
And the guy's using some creativity.
you like it that was good uh matthew cornado fighting for a job that's not ideal
that's in the net so don't turn that one off you're not happy there the pace is slowed considerably
now as you can see there's about six minutes left they fly and play the same day it's not a get there
the day before you know you're allowed you're playing an nchel thick roster on the other side
uh and this one here there's not a lot of physicality here
It's a dump.
Sheifley just says, I guess I'll go get it.
I'll get it back.
And now Kyle Connor, who can really score goals is left alone there.
Feel for Wolf.
There was not a whole lot going on.
The defense.
I don't feel for a goal.
They just look out of sorts.
Outmatched and out of gas.
This is now what, seven of eight, pre-season, how many frigging games they play?
Absolutely, absolutely, except they haven't all played, all of them.
I know.
I know.
That's why when we talked yesterday, Huska was asked,
is there how much is left to be done?
You've seen the lion's share of these games.
We know the last one's going to be predominantly the NHL roster.
Can you really do a lot to help or damage your cause in this game?
And when you watch it,
I don't know how much stock or evaluation you really put into it.
Well, he's definitely made the team.
We had him on the team.
Now he's definitely off.
I think it's tricky.
It is going to be tricky.
I don't know.
I would think that they've got a lot of their roster spots filled in.
I do too.
And who's begging to take one?
Like if they've got it with veteran guys.
I mean, on this list,
Zeri's on the team, math is on the team.
Frick and a number of it,
they were already sent down or have clear.
wavers so they know they're not sticking around i guess runy's somewhere in there
roney and uh runy i think he'll be there just pelche another it's another quiet night
hoom yeah another quiet night and on the back end coronado would be yeah coronado would be a guy
that uh has gotten quiet over the the last few started off yeah real great uh wolf went the distance
it's just tuning up for him.
I don't know if Lidar goes in the finale.
We'll see how that goes.
So that is,
that's the story there.
That's the penultimate.
That was the penultimate,
right?
Yeah.
The ultimate Friday night,
back home against the Jets.
It's going to be great.
Hey, Friday night, Jets in town.
We're going to flip the script.
Yep.
Look out, Jets.
Look out, boys.
Because they're coming.
I am intrigued to see what
happens with Hansick for sure he's the most intriguing player in camp now yeah yeah right there's no one
else that were bristavits would like to play well oh nice but there's no there's no there's no
knock it on the door that you're surprised to see yeah yeah spoiler alert uh coming up uh bristevich
part of a group that was sent to the american league this morning so some cuts have been made
I can tell you who they are if you want to.
Whatever if you're saving for the Pindroport.
Aspero and Bishop were called back for this game.
Yeah, they just got back.
Well, they're going back down.
Bristevich, Frick, Kirkland, Sam Morton,
on their way to the American Hockey League.
Soloveev cleared waivers.
He's down.
So that leaves you.
Three goalies, 9D, 18 forwards.
30 guys left.
Seems up a lot.
You have a goalie in Devon Cooley, who is an extra.
Your defense, Weiger Mirmanov, sounded like Ball and Anderson.
We're going to get a spin at that's in the second pairing.
Barry Pahall, and then it's Tenorty, Hanley, Jake Bean.
Tenorty's going down.
Hanley was a waiver guy that played a little bit, but didn't play every night.
Pahall, also a waiver guy.
Jake Bean, they signed after.
Schillington left.
So I don't know.
And then you've got Barry, who was on a PTO.
I think they'll keep him.
I kind of do too.
I don't think he's been undeniable,
but either as anybody else.
Well, that's just it.
Everyone's like, wow, he's on a PTO.
Yeah.
My expectations for Barry were not to come in and put up three points a game.
Yeah.
So is he going to help your power play?
Probably.
Yeah.
Probably.
Yeah.
And then up front, you've got the usual suspects.
as far as we'll walk through.
Cadry with Kuzvenko and Sharangovic,
Backl, Coleman, Zeri,
Pospasal, say, Manta and Huberdough,
and then Rooney, Pellche Lomburg.
Pellche is the one that's interesting
because of the waivers.
Hansik is in there,
Klapka is in there,
Coronado, and then Dryden Hunt,
Cole Schwint, Walker, Doer.
So Hunt, and the thing with Coronado,
you don't need waivers.
You could probably see a situation
where it's Hunt, Coronado,
Wendt doer and then one of Hansik Klapka what do you do with Peltier I don't know
Wow I think you have to give Peltier a chance to play
Hansik doesn't need waivers so I I don't know you've I have no idea but I've got to imagine that if they put him on waivers somebody's gonna take a first round pick just why not yeah
if you're San Jose you're going well yeah we can give them a whirl
For the cost?
Yeah.
The cost of zero?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
The cost of zero is manageable.
Clapka doesn't need,
Coronado, Hansick, and Hansik and Klapka do not need waivers.
So.
Not going to help their cause.
No.
Easy peasy for them to go down.
And not the end of the world that they do.
They haven't done enough to say I absolutely 100% have to be here.
Yeah.
I'd like Hansik to give it.
Yeah.
Like you said.
it would be nice to have a feel-good story come out of this camp,
and that would be for me.
That's a step in the right direction.
It's not a, instead of, you know, I think he's played well,
and we did bring up some concerns a couple weeks ago,
and he's, not that he's responding to us,
but he's played well to answer some of those concerns.
I would have expected at the end of this camp
that there would be a big question mark about Hans.
He's kind of answered that.
Yeah.
And it's a much better feel than leaving here going, well, is that first rounder going to?
Yeah.
We still don't know what we've got.
Yeah.
And he's, he's answered the critics.
Has he answered the critics?
Sorry, has he answered the critics?
I've not gone to a game.
With his total play or with his points?
I think with his play.
Okay.
I don't think he's just magically showing up on the score sheet.
Yeah.
You know what I mean?
There's times where you're like, oh, yeah, the guy had two points, but I didn't know he was out there.
What's helped is they put him in a place to succeed.
He was playing with, it was Kuzmenko and Kodryg a couple games ago.
So that helps.
Probably a few other guys would be like, I'd take a twirl there if you don't mind.
If you're up for it there, Husk.
And as we also said, I don't know that it's, you get over it.
And I don't think it's that terrible message.
But he has to.
have done just about everything that they would have asked for him at the start of camp come in make a
difference be read the whole thing and he's gotten better the whole way play a few games if he can't keep
up you send him down if he's keeping up and he's playing then keep riding it keep going let him go keep going
so that's the that's the story there for the calgary flames well uh we'll look at some old flames
coming up in the penderland yeah old flames i don't like to go down that path well i mean how many do you
have you've been married for quite some time you and the shoveler or it's a it's a beautiful love
story it's matrimony yeah it is yeah it's a beautiful story there i mean really how many how many
skeletons could possibly be in your love life closet yeah that's good that's right that's right
how about you jack do you have a long a long list of loves that you've left how many heartbreaks
This is pretty fresh.
Me and my girlfriend just broke up.
Oh, no.
Yeah.
When?
Like this week.
Ooh, Dean, we really walked.
We'll be right back.
We'll be right back.
Because I came in the other day.
Hey, Jackie boy.
How are we doing?
Oh, it's all right.
That's okay.
And that's not Jack.
Jack's pretty good.
You know, Jack's pretty even keel.
Easy going.
Well, I know you don't want to talk about it.
So let's get into it.
What happened?
Let's not get into it.
Oh, definitely her phone.
So too fresh.
We can get into it next week.
I'm trying to walk my way out of this one.
How long did you?
How long were we together?
Six years.
Oh, it's a young man.
Bit some buttons.
Buttons don't work.
I haven't paid for it yet.
Too tight to do it.
Okay.
You know what?
Jack, you're going to pull through this, buddy.
It's onward and upward.
Is it?
You'll probably get back together.
What is, yeah, I mean.
Is it over over?
He doesn't want to talk about it, Dean.
Drop it.
You just asked him, is it over?
Well, I got caught up in the moment.
This is not funny.
For him.
It's not funny.
It's not funny.
I'm squirming in my seat.
Yeah, you are.
I can see it.
Yeah, you are.
Real subtle.
Why?
You started it.
See, you know, I had no idea or I would clearly have avoided this.
He did.
Hey, listen, six years is not that long.
No.
It's like one and four in my life.
Yeah, when you're 20, a little bit.
Was there an event that happened?
that it was like this happened and then bang or was it kind of you know no there was no
slow burn dramatic yeah more of a slow yeah did you know i would love to dickens
you're so awkward ask some questions but i don't think it's our spot it's great the two married
guys.
It'll be good.
You know what?
It'll be all right, Jack.
Yeah, it'll be all right.
Everything happens for a reason.
Maybe you get back together and absence makes the heart grow fonder.
But know this.
You're a good guy.
Appreciate it.
You're a good man.
You're a fun guy.
I am a fun guy.
I could hit the.
Oh, it's not there.
Shit.
So who are the
the guys we're going to talk about,
the flames players that used to play on the flames.
Yeah, the old flame.
Well, that's inside the Pinder report.
Do I just do that then?
Yeah, I think we should quickly pivot.
I don't know if this is quick.
You see origin above my big head?
Text them with Sterling yesterday.
They're damn near done harvest.
Whatever it is, 17,000 acres
that they've got out there in Strathmore.
The one third of Alberta that they've been farming.
Yeah, all of Southwest
of the province.
They're just about done getting her in.
Good for you.
So they don't need us?
No, I think it's,
well, you know what it's like coming from
farming area. It's a real
kind of a, yeah, celebrated,
but the harvest is in,
everything's in the bins.
Don't they have the fall supper?
Yeah. Yeah.
Love the fall supper.
Beautiful.
Do you know what fall supper is, Jack?
We'll take you to fall supper.
Turn your right around.
You'll find a nice.
Yep.
Big, thick farm girl for it.
you help you move that furniture out of your place that you need to move out of.
Gee.
Gee!
You ever been to a, uh, no.
Oh, it's so good.
It's so good, Jack.
It's like a big potluck.
Beef and turkey and fresh buns, homemade buns and gravies.
Ooh, doctor.
So good.
We'll take you.
I got to go to Strathmore today.
Do you?
Yeah.
For what?
My dud kid is co-instruised.
on the way to Edmonton and I ordered
some sticks to the house and they didn't
arrive in time blah blah blah so
can you drop the sticks off and they're
stopping at the Strathmore what's that
fancy restaurant out there
I should tell them to go to
the Whoopty Do Cafe origin
You should because they're picking up grub in
Strathmore and heading to Edmonton
And what are you going to get them to do at origin
Food have some beers
They've got grub there you say
They do yeah I don't know yeah I'm I'd
ahead before you just show up with the hockey team.
Well, yeah.
I think you probably have to be of age to get in there.
Was I just grabbing it to go?
Gotcha.
Grab it on the bus.
Yeah.
I should ask them.
Carry on.
Carry on.
There's two of us.
What are you talking about?
Jack's distracted.
No wonder he was so out of it yesterday.
Guys sitting there with a broken heart.
Damn it, Jack.
You got to let us know these things, Jack.
We're here for you.
It's pretty fresh.
I know, but.
Who the hell are you going to turn to and your time of need?
Is it is it is it the is it your job?
Too many is it.
Is this?
Because I mean, let's in the way.
If we can help on this end, let's let's see what we can do.
The schedule, the job is it?
No, it's not the job.
I don't think.
There wasn't a ton of reasons.
Now, we're assuming that this was again, I don't know if we should even be talking about this.
Jack, just don't listen.
We're assuming.
that it was a her audios to him.
Maybe it was a,
I think if,
or a mutual.
He just said it didn't seem like there was a,
yeah,
I think you were right in the first part.
How about this though?
Hey,
look at this, Jackie boy.
Hey,
that'll go a long way.
Super chat.
Gito,
Gito, Gito,
is in with a,
with five bucks.
Thank you, buddy.
Some farm girl funds.
That's all yours.
perfect that is all yours right there find yourself a good farm girl
farm girls are fun farm girls are good girls
some of the best jack really
you wouldn't steer me in the wrong no never would
never would never would not us penderwood because he's a dick
pender wouldn't say it because pender would get punched out by a farm
he has no idea about small town girls he's got no idea about that
it's not hoity-toity enough for yeah
That's right.
Is there a private club in this ranch?
No.
It was a barn.
What are the odds that I say old flames,
and we start time with this on the like two days removed from a breakup after six years of early?
See, and this is just it.
Maybe it was meant to be.
Maybe Jack should share with us and we could work through this shit.
What do you think, Jack?
Do you think you should share?
Do you think that that would help?
Not right now, no.
Can we buy you a beer, take you to origin?
Sure.
October Fest tomorrow.
There's about 50 of them right behind your left ear.
We could, what is it, kill two birds with one stone?
Sure.
We could go out there tonight.
I'm sure they'd take care of us tonight,
and then we could just carry on it tomorrow.
I sincerely feel bad.
You should.
Why didn't you bring this up?
We're kind of family in here.
Oh, it's fresh.
A subtle pivot.
Yeah.
If you had the damn buttons, we could.
Maybe if Jack presses a button, that'll be our signal that we can carry out.
Oh, not those.
It could be like an intro to something or something else.
Just so everyone knows, Jack played that.
It was not us playing the womp-womp sound effect.
I think that speaks to how Jack's feeling.
He'll be fine.
I think it'll all be fine.
Did you and the shoveler have any rough waters before it all came back around?
She left me in South Africa.
I think a lot of relationships too.
South Africa, Jack.
As I was on my way to a shark tank, going to see the Great Whites, pushed me in.
She bolted?
Really?
Yeah.
Like back to the hotel or off the continent?
Germany.
Quick hop over to Germany in a bubble.
Germany?
I didn't know they had sharks in Germany.
Dusseldorf.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I think it happens to a lot of people.
Sure does.
You have a little bit of a thing and then come back.
Didn't know how good we had it.
This is the way it should be.
I feel like that's going to happen.
Based on.
It was six years.
It wasn't all.
We met at the Strathmore running of the bowls in August.
and now things have hit a rough patch.
It wasn't a pinder event.
No.
Portland and twins.
In less than a year.
Okay.
Well, um,
we're here if you need us, Jack.
That's,
I think all the listeners are too.
Are we getting any advice from the...
People think we're jerks for talking about it.
Me?
Don't put me in.
No, no, no, no.
One.
I didn't.
You can.
I kind of want to ask.
I kind of want to ask some details.
That's what you were saying.
All right.
The chat is here for you, Jack, as they are...
Clearly, yes.
There's got to be a few bad comments.
People are typically nice.
You scroll?
I'm scrolling.
I'm scrolling.
Positive.
It's a lot of scrolls.
Somebody's offering up some egg rolls if you're hungry.
I don't like egg rolls.
Really?
No.
Even with the plum sauce?
what about the spicy like spicy tie or whatever the peanut sauce i like the right the spring rolls yeah
i don't like peanut sauce no well here's there's ryan pike pike's place i can drive over there
and give jack a hug if it helps what about a yeah i can use a sweet embrace from yeah get over here
pike from pike pike pike pike's a good guy see he's there in times of need yeah it's hard to be there
in times of need if the person doesn't tell you that it's a needy time it's yeah that's that's why
i don't feel bad it's not our fault i'm supposed to come into work every day say hey you still you got
you break up what's are you sick you how's your relationship you got to go through that every day
and you shit talked to him about can you pick it no the other day yesterday when he was distracted
poor guys dealing with things in his life and you're smacking him around he was distracted
Is that what it was?
Yeah, a little bit.
Stop laughing.
Right.
There we go.
That's right.
Time for the Pinder report.
It's presentation of Village Honda.
Text Pender and make sure he knows what's going on.
Give a guy a freaking heads off.
New in-stock inventory on the ground.
MSRP for new vehicle pricing.
It's always MSRP.
Maybe you need to use vehicle.
They have got a huge selection of you.
all makes all models, all budgets, part of the Wood Automotive Group.
They will find what it is you're looking for.
They're your dealership for life.
Good old Anthony and Tanya and everybody up at Village Honda, good people.
You want to deal with good people.
When you're making a purchase like a vehicle, it's a big purchase.
You want to feel good about who you're working with.
You'll feel great about who you're working with in Village Honda.
Starting off with some flames that used to play,
players that used to be a flame and now aren't and play elsewhere just to kind of get a
visual you know because there was a lot of a lot of turnover last year and sometimes it takes a little
getting used to let's take a look at some of the guys some of the uh again players that used to
play for the flames that now play elsewhere there is that's jacob markstrom used to be a flame he's now
a new jersey devil that is a massive viking right there it looks like uh
it looks like he's stifling a laugh or something.
It looks like maybe somebody let a fart go in the room right before they snapped it.
It's like don't,
don't laugh.
It looks like they're telling him not to,
not to laugh there.
So that's Markstrom in New Jersey.
You think that's going to go well for them?
I do.
I think it's a good move.
I would be high on Jersey this season.
All right.
That, of course, is Chris Tanna.
He's a Toronto-Mapleaf and loves milk,
apparently.
Everybody loves milk.
Yeah.
Fico.
He'll be a good leaf.
He'd be a good whatever.
I think he was a good start.
I'm going to disagree with you there.
I think it's going to be an absolute albatross.
Oh, no.
The wheels are going to fall off here eventually,
and it could happen sooner than later.
Yeah.
I mean, I hadn't thought of it that so much.
I just thought about the season starts next week.
He'll be good.
I love the fact.
I love his game.
Love the individual.
Would be extremely concerned with injury,
even though he's played a whole bunch.
Yeah.
We set it here.
He falls down every game or gets right.
Yeah.
I feel like he's one bump away from never playing again.
Yeah.
He'll be on that Robido Island.
Is that what it's called?
Not, no, it's not.
That is Nikita Zedorov.
He's a Boston Bruin.
He of the roller coaster fame.
Really was.
Hop on the Zadorov and make sure you're in the seated position.
Keep your hands inside the car at all times.
He looks, you know, I know you're kind of of the,
You don't need to wear suits.
You don't need to be dressing up.
When he dresses up, he looks real sharp.
I'm saying you can do what you want.
I know.
He though,
uh,
suits look good on him.
He makes suits look good,
whatever it is.
I think he spends a lot of money on his,
uh,
wardrobe.
He's one of those guys.
Whereas the last guy,
Tannav,
if you watch,
I'll think there's a lot there.
It's tie.
It's Randy River.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Uh,
and then,
uh,
I think we have one more.
there's Oliver Shillington.
He's in Colorado.
That's a huge logo.
Massive.
What he was doing?
I don't know either.
I feel like a lot of people have moved on,
but it does make you wonder,
okay, you needed a fresh start, fresh start, sure, okay.
But clearly, I think there was a greater value,
perceived value in his home and the office of his agent
than there was in the offices of NHL general manager.
And also a disproportionate amount of goodwill flames to Shillington as opposed to Shillington.
It seems like that, yeah, I don't, you know.
Who are you to comment, Dean?
Who am I to comment on stuff like that?
You're bringing the news?
That's right.
So there you go.
And somebody's asked about Lindholm.
Didn't have the Lindholm, but yeah, Elias Lindholm.
He is a Boston Bruin.
Um, Tofoli is a shark, but he's already moved on.
He had been, uh, and then T.J. Brody is a Chicago Blackhawk.
Is he still playing?
Yep, still playing.
What about Gio?
Well, there was all the talk that Gio was going to happen.
No, I haven't seen any, uh, no PTO.
So how long before he ends up, if he doesn't get a job, how long before he ends up on a management squad?
Soon.
Before Christmas, right?
I would say
True Living will have him doing something
for the Leafs right away.
That would be my guess.
Although there's a lot of former Leafs that want to do stuff.
If you want to make money in Toronto as a former
leaf, you can get out of bed and they'll pay 25 grand to sign
autographs.
It's not how much it is.
I'm not joking.
Yeah.
The Leafs alumni.
Yeah. So if you're wondering,
Wendell Clark and Darcy Tucker sure signed a lot of autographs.
Yeah.
You would too.
Yeah, you would too for that.
You want to be a Leafs ambassador, do you?
For that kind of cake.
So there we go.
That was old flames.
We talked about it already.
I'm guessing if you're listening via podcast or whatever,
you've heard us talk about the players that have been sent down and who is left
in camp and all of that.
And if you missed it, you can go back.
I'm not going to go through it again.
But Hunter Brestevich, I guess would be the one name that isn't surprising,
but he's one of the newcomers came across in that deal for Elias Lindholm.
had a very good preseason and now we'll make the jump from junior to the American Hockey League.
Good for them. Good spot to be, I think.
Reviews were very good. There's some good vibes.
Very good vibes.
Yes, sir.
Want to talk to baseball?
I watched some baseball.
Did you? Which, what you watched you?
Padres.
Yeah. Pretty exciting.
Good.
well uh that's not you want to start tigers astros jeez i feel i feel like i can't even talk to jack whatever you want to do jack
we'll do tigers astros chag i guess sure i think that's a good spot i hope he's not an astros fan
nobody's an astros fan cheaters hate the astros uh the tigers have had a great run what was it
august they turned it on is in august they turned it up and they were one of the best teams in baseball
and they blow it open in the top of the eighth.
The bases are full for pinch hitter and the Ibanez.
Ibanias.
Look at that.
Tide of two.
Juiced are the bags.
And he's going to rip one.
Third baseline, giddy up.
Base is clear.
Bonsonzing around.
Yvanias.
He's in with a trip.
Four runs in the top of the eight.
They won it.
of five to two and sweep the Astros.
Astros are out.
They will not play in the ALCS for the first time since 2016, if you can believe it.
AJ Hinch, their manager in the locker room post game.
They're popping tops as they do.
Listen, I'm not sure who, but somebody let the tigers get hot.
I'm not sure who.
Somebody let the tigers get hot.
Yes, they did.
Looks like fun.
On August 10th, the Tigers were 55 and 63.
Oh, not good, Dean.
You know who else was?
The Toronto Blue Jays.
Ah, yes.
Who finished dead last in the AL East.
Tigers are off to the ALDS.
Royals, Orioles.
Now, we talked about this one.
The Orioles, game one, played really well.
Yeah.
Gave up one run, five hits, lost one, nothing.
They were pretty good again in game two.
as you can take a look.
And on the other side, hey, good for the Royals.
They scored three runs over two games and swept their wildcard series.
Move on to the division series.
That's right.
So the Kansas City Royals will face the New York Yankees.
There you see it.
The Orioles, meanwhile, have lost 10 straight playoff games.
Good. I don't like the Orioles.
If you go back all the way to their wildcard game against the Blue Jays,
a little home run there, I think it was
extra innings.
The Blue Jays one? Yeah.
Matt Wheaters.
As soon as it went off the bat.
It was in the,
who was the skipper for the Orioles? He changed.
Oh yeah, Buck Show Walter. Yeah. Yeah.
He did something goofy with the pitching. Yeah. Yeah. So,
Orioles are out. It's how quick it goes.
They were, they were so excited. All those games that don't matter. Then you make
the playoffs and you're up.
Padres Braves.
Now, they made history, did they yesterday, the Padres, taking on the Braves with what they
did early in this game.
Second inning, two out.
All of this happens with two out in the, there's time left.
Actually, there's a guy here because one of the big rivalries they have is the Dodgers.
So here's a guy in the crowd, in San Diego.
Diego's got his Clayton Kershaw, Jersey on.
He's a, uh, I was kind of admit it with the, oh, boo.
Yeah, yeah.
He's like, oh, yeah, well, maybe.
I'm not a Dodgers fan.
Crowd eats it up.
A lot of turn coach.
Yeah, crowd eats it up.
I'm not a Dodgers man, you guys.
Don't be silly.
That's always.
So 2-0.
It's 1-0-0 Braves.
Second inning, bottom two.
Kyle Higoshioca, the former Yankee, takes it yard.
Padres are on the board.
Still in the second, still two out.
Mani Machado, bam.
Two come in to score.
Look at them go.
It's three to one.
Still with two out.
Crack.
Two more come in.
Padres blow it wide open.
Five one at that point.
Not a bad run.
Potterrey's first team in MLB postseason history
to get six consecutive hits and hit for the cycle.
in the same inning, all with two out.
Oh, not bad.
The Braves make it interesting.
It's 5'4, and it gets a little hairy.
All right.
But they get it.
How about San Diego, Los Angeles?
Dodgers, Padres, NLDS.
Love it.
Let's go.
I saw somebody remarking on Twitter or Instagram yesterday.
You see the crowd there.
this is a town that who's taking a pro sports team out of San Diego these are great there's great
fans here just be good yeah give them something a little bit to cheer about give them a little bit
a reason to get behind you and and they'll be there uh so now that leaves the uh those series are
done over over swept it's over over over except for this one brewers and metz now jackson
churio you ever heard of them not till about an hour ago yeah
in 2004.
When were you
I feel like I want to, when were you born?
98.
2004, this guy's a pup.
A year ago, signed an $82 million deal.
The largest contract ever for a player
that had not yet reached the majors.
This season, youngest player on any MLB roster.
More history last night.
Bottom one.
Nash is it to right.
Lise it up.
It's gone.
He's 20.
That's no big deal, hey?
What's the big deal?
Tider at one.
To the eighth again.
Deep it.
Again, it's tied.
And they are going bananas in Milwaukee.
Tide at three, still in the eight.
Now there's two out.
I love that.
Right?
His eyes.
They know it as soon.
They know it as soon as they hear it.
Oh.
See you.
Garrett Mitchell.
It's 5.3.
That's how it ends.
So the Mets, they're going to have to go.
One more.
They'll play at 508 today.
And you know, it's not, maybe it's not your day for the Mets when this kind of stuff starts happening?
Mm-hmm.
I don't, it's not good vibes, boys.
Not good vibes.
not bad so there you go
I like both those teams though
yeah I do too
I don't I just
I kind of revert always to small market
yeah
I have not been I think Pinder's been
that's supposed to be a pretty
great ballpark there
crowd seems into it
the crowd seems into it
don't you yeah
I gotta get wish
so nuts not being there
I know so now Jackson
Shurio second player in MLB history
to hit two game tying home
runs in the same playoff game.
One other guy did it ever.
Babe Ruth.
Oh, babe.
In game four of the 1928 World Series.
Yeah, 28.
I don't think, was Babe 20 when he did it?
I'm not sure.
But either way, it's been a long time.
Second youngest to hit multiple home runs in a single game.
Andrew Jones was just slightly younger when he did it for the Braves back when he was a pup.
So there you have it.
So again, Mets Brewers, they'll play today.
The other series are over, and those are set as you take a look now at what the
bracket kind of looks like.
We're getting, you can start to visualize it now.
You can start to see, all right, because we get weed some of these teams away.
If you're not a huge baseball fan or you get into it only about this time of year,
and that's a lot of us are that.
There it is.
Detroit, Cleveland, Kansas City and the Yankees, San Diego and the Dodgers,
and the Phillies are waiting for the winner of.
of tonight's game.
Some good series.
Damn right.
We talked to Adnan.
He likes Cleveland.
Detroit is red hot.
Yankees had a very good season
by the time it was said and done.
Find it hard not to feel like
I want the Padres to win that series.
And Adan said that the Dodgers pitching.
Yeah.
And I don't know, man.
I dig those Phillies.
Crowds there are so great.
You like Philly.
I do like Philly.
The ball team, it kind of,
I like the town.
I like,
yeah,
I do.
I'm guilty of it,
for sure,
for sure.
I just pick the bears.
Well,
the Eagles just won the Super Super Bowl.
Oh,
front runner.
See,
you guys.
You don't like Chicago.
I get,
I'm a freaking chirped.
You do something to get chirped even more.
Blue Jays yesterday.
No,
they played?
No.
Oh.
President and CEO Mark Shapiro.
Oh,
and Ross Atkins met with the media.
Oh,
that'd go.
So great.
Right. It went exactly how you thought it did.
It seems like there was, they talked about having accountability,
but then really didn't seem to take any accountability.
Shapiro talked about how injuries,
so what do you think it was this year?
Because there were high expectations and didn't really get there.
So, oh, you know, injuries play a, play a role.
And I think they were had, like, I think it was the third fewest games lost to,
man games lost to injury out of major leagues.
and did confirm
Ross Atkins will be back as Jay's GM
Oh good
They've had three consecutive years
I believe it is of reduced wind totals this year
They go 74 and 88
Despite having the 10th highest payroll in the majors
There is no rebuild and they are dedicated to this group
I've heard this story
Yeah there it is so they'll be fine
Vlad Guerrero Jr. is a year away from free
agency.
There was talk of trading
Bo Bichette.
There was talk of trading both of them,
wasn't it?
Oh, yeah. Yeah.
So there's some work to be done.
They got to win some of those games that don't matter.
Right.
If they won more, the games that don't matter.
Yeah.
The games Ryan gets excited about early in the year and you tell them they don't
matter or how does I go?
Usually I say they lost again and he tells me.
He says they don't matter. Yeah.
It doesn't matter.
Yeah.
It's April.
That's true.
There's some football tonight.
Good, because I've missed it.
The 3-1 Tampa Bay Buccaneers visit the 2-2 Atlanta Falcons.
It's an NFC South battle.
Tampa's defense, they got to Jalen Hertz six times on Sunday.
And Kirk Cousins, I think, a little less mobile than Jalen Hertz.
The Falcons have been fun to watch every game this year has come down to the final minute.
Last week, a Young Way-Coo field goal late, beat New Orleans 26.
24. So that is your Thursday nighter.
Devante Adams, that saga continues.
It's now a saga or people just sick of hearing this.
When you write scripts and you do sports talk, it's a saga.
Yeah, it's that.
And I'm trying to think, what's the other one?
I'll remember it.
But if there's a trade, it's sweepstakes.
The sweepstakes, who's going to win the sweepstakes?
Gotcha.
This is the Devonte saga ad.
He's asked to be traded.
The coach was asked about him.
he said he used he didn't say his name he says number 17 on number 17's got a hamstring so he's
not even talking about him uh number 17 it's apparently uh the jets and the saints would be his
preferred he likes erin rogers he likes well lucky for him he gets to choose he likes car that's great
uh and remember he didn't play last week it was weird he played and then somewhere during the week
in when things went sideways also had a hamstring injury son of a gun so there's some concern if we trade
for this guy.
Are we getting a hurt bag?
Damage goods.
But here you can see,
don't be concerned
because there is some belief
that while Devante Adams right now
is hurt,
but if you get him into a new locker room
and inside a new team and a new system,
things will turn around and hurt.
He'll be just fine.
So don't worry about it.
And this last one,
I don't know.
I know what we give Ryan a hard time
for
Ryan. Yeah, so much.
But I did see this. And I don't know what it made me think of Ryan, because I feel like,
and I don't know if this is an ostrich or an emu or what it is, but it just made me laugh.
This is a petting zoo of some sort, and the ostrich emu decides,
I'm going to take the piss out of you, get kids a little bit here.
Watch this, son of a bitch, no.
I love what these are. They spook me.
Oh, you guys got to relax.
Stay right here.
Stay right here.
Look at them.
Just burning some calories.
You guys, you guys can come out now.
It's okay.
Go on.
Kids.
That's the Pender Report.
Presentation of Village, Honda.
The Honda Civic continues to lead the way in value reliability performance.
It's a great car.
10 out of 10, car driver's magazine.
They would know, car and driver magazine.
They would know.
That's what they do.
The type R, the type S.I, number one and number two, respectively in the sport compact category.
With all this driving that we're doing now coming in here, I'm thinking I need a more economical vehicle.
You do.
Absolutely.
It's been a lot of money.
I got a feel, though, you'll figure something.
I hope so.
Maybe we'll just stay home.
If it's cold, it's not worth the risk.
Are you set up to go from home, though?
Two minutes.
Yeah.
It'll be no worse than last year.
Uh, yeah, yeah.
I'm just going to take a shot.
No, better.
I got a shush.
There you go.
That's the Pinder report.
Bender might be back next week.
Pender is in Australia.
He's contacting you, Jack.
I realize I'm not hearing anything from him.
He knows not to.
Yeah.
I guarantee you would ignore him anyway.
You're right.
Right?
Like if he actually said something in that group chat, it'd be like,
there are some things going on,
behind the scenes that he would probably like to really converse with me about or have.
And yeah, there's not.
I'm kind of not really on purpose, but it's also kind of, you'll be here next week.
What are we going to?
Yeah.
Not ready to jump into anything.
I'll just figure it out.
Settle down.
It was so important you'd be here.
It's going to be taken three week vacation.
Two weeks of days.
What is the Pinder update, Jack?
What's the most recent?
Well, yesterday he was looking for internet and he kept sending me,
screenshots. I wish I screened up
this on my phone. 49 upload speed
9 download speed or
opposite 49 download 9 upload
either way. He says yeah other way still
shitty both this is going to work no
he says okay I'll go hunting
for Wi-Fi today sends more
all garbage tested it out last night
I don't know if it's going to work for what purpose
a show oh he's got another show to show
oh again we did discuss this
a thing he's doing a show
just not this show.
Not this show.
There's another show that he agreed to do
and did about a week of it
and then left the continent.
Sure, I could do it.
We're not doing it every week, are we?
Yeah, it's a weekly show.
Oh, I'm going to be in Australia.
It's not ideal.
And, in fairness,
he's not well equipped
to suss out technical stuff.
That's not his thing.
And it's so, like, at 6 a.m.
when it's 2 p.m. there.
Like, last week he was a.
bag of shit.
Brought no energy.
He's like, he's sitting in the belt, like on the balcony of the hotel room.
Well, everyone's sleeping inside.
So he's trying to be like somewhat quiet.
Just like, like, why?
I think the chats need to, they need to find a way to give priests all the ball a little bit more.
Ryan, we can't hear you.
Internet's crapping out.
Yeah.
I don't know.
I feel like whenever, uh, whenever our other Aussie buddy, when Ozzy Brad comes in,
It seems like he's got great internet.
It doesn't seem to be a problem.
Real clear.
Yeah.
Comes across real clear.
Real clear.
Do you think he thought, because he's texting on his phone, so he's got cell phone.
Does there ever a thought that he'd use his phone, like tie into his hot spot?
He doesn't know what a hot spot is.
It's true.
So anyway.
Love to help him out, but I haven't heard from him.
That's true.
Yeah.
If he'd get a hold of me, maybe we could find him to help out.
I feel terrible about it.
Feel terrible about it.
Bet365, proud partner of Barnburner.
It's the world's largest sports betting platform.
It is my favorite app.
You're going to love it.
You get in there.
Open an account.
It's a daily thing.
It's every day.
Bet 365.
FN bonus, little promo code there for you
when you sign up with your brand new account.
Put that in there and get a little love.
Whatever the sport,
whatever the moment,
365. So you're Thursday night football game,
Buccaneers and Falcons.
As I told you there in the PIN report,
all of the Falcons games
have gone down to the last minute. They've been toyed.
So I'm going to say this one's also going to be toyed.
I'm getting points with the bucks. I'll take it.
Plus two and a half. Nice.
This is not a parlay. You can't if you'd like. You don't need to.
Mike Evans has been real good. I keep waiting for him to slow down.
It feels old to me. He does feel.
When you go into your fantasy drive, I don't want an old guy,
but he's real good.
I'll take the anytime touchdown at plus 120.
And Baker Mayfield has also been real good.
A couple touchdowns, sure, I can see it.
Plus 100.
Is he shit talking Tom Brady?
I think what it was,
he made a comment about how the mood has really kind of changed in Tampa Bay.
Buccaneers, the locker room's happier, everything's lighter,
everything's loose.
So who is the last guy there?
It was Brady.
Oh, so things were not fun when Tom was there.
And Tom basically said, I thought winning Super Bowls is fun.
I don't know what you find fun.
Does that make me a bad guy?
I've got, what, eight rings?
A lot.
They were a lot.
They were very fun.
Seven, eight.
Enjoyed them all.
Yeah, they were all a ton of fun.
So you do what you do for fun and I'll do what I do is kind of what it came down to.
So I thought it was pretty good on Brady.
It was pretty quick.
Good hearted.
Yeah.
So, Tom, what did you think the mood was?
I don't know.
you saw me at the Super Bowl parade
I was drunk as shit
I was right out of her
so there's
he'll be good tonight
I did the boat parade right
they did he was tossing that thing
from boat to boat wouldn't that be fun
yeah he was out of her
I don't care if the trophies here
let's just go on a boat parade
I haven't done a lot of Florida
you should should I
yeah you do Mexico though
dry heat
Mexico yeah
I find Mexico
to be more, not as, maybe not as humid.
Sultry?
I could be wrong.
It's closer is the other thing.
Mexico?
Yeah.
Like to fly from here.
Five hours to Florida.
Yeah.
You can be,
you can be in Puerto Vallerta in three.
Really?
Yeah.
I think you're full of shit.
If you're doing some Cancun,
it's going to take you a little longer for sure.
I think you're full of it.
What are you talking about?
It's not three hours of port.
Well, what is it to PV?
I don't know.
I don't go there.
You're blowing my mind with this.
Am I?
Yes.
It seems like it would have to be longer.
Let me take a little.
Have you got some time?
How far it is to Anchorage?
Why I'm bringing up Anchorage.
Anchorage, Mexico.
My nephew's playing up there and they're like,
it's a seven hour.
I'm like, what?
Yeah, I don't want to go to Anchorage.
Seven hours.
Is that where he's playing?
To go to Anchorage?
No, I'm out.
That's terrible.
That is terrible.
I'm going to just pick a port,
Porte Plata.
No, that's the wrong place.
Porte Vyarta.
Any date?
I don't care.
Sure. Oh, that's cheap.
Gross.
I just want to go one way. Just one way.
Just give them the bloody time.
Just tell me how long.
I'll bet I could do chat.
GPT.
Somebody's saying it's four hours to TV.
It's not three.
Three is Saskatoon.
It says here five hours.
So same as Florida.
Five hours.
I don't know.
Maybe I've just been real drunk on the
flights.
I can't believe we're here already.
That's so great.
Where is a beach?
Either way.
Either way.
You're a beach guy.
You'd like Florida?
I'm not a beach guy.
Pool guy?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Big.
Swim up bar.
Yeah.
There's,
you go to the beach just,
okay.
Hey, picture.
Look, we're at the beach.
Can we go back to the pool where it's not windy?
Love the idea of the beach.
Where the bar is.
And the bathrooms and the air-conditioned room close when I need it.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
Are you an all-inclusive guy?
Do you like?
I've never been.
What?
Other than those donkey trips.
Yeah, yeah.
Well, that's not a, you can't, Judge.
No.
Oh, I love the all-inclusive.
Are you hungry?
Because of the free ice cream?
It's a bit hit and miss.
Sometimes it's not very good depending on the place.
Yeah.
It was very good at this place.
we were just that.
Do you want to do something or do you not want to do something?
You're hungry now?
You hungry now?
Later, what do you want to do?
I don't know.
Okay.
We don't need to know.
Just whenever you're hungry, tired, thirsty, you need to lie down, stand, you want to jump, whatever.
Do it now.
Okay.
Sounds good.
Love it.
Good.
Yeah.
Love it.
Five hours kept five hours.
Come on West jet.
It's fun, man.
It's a long ways.
You got to go all the way through.
America.
Yeah, but to get to Phoenix slash Los Angeles,
how long are those flights?
Three to Phoenix.
Yeah.
It's another two hours from Phoenix to find that hard to believe.
Well, what did your phone say?
It's, yeah, I know.
You know what else?
These airlines, they kind of bump the hours up so they're never late.
You know why we're charging so much.
Look how long it takes us to get.
Five hour flight.
That's a lot of fuel.
We got to pay for you.
I wonder that's because that's the thing, too, right?
They can go faster.
They absolutely can go fast.
They can get you there quicker.
They just don't.
To conserve fuel or what is it?
Costs, yeah.
I was told that it's because of scheduling.
You can't get there too early because then it throws air traffic control.
If everybody's moving faster, what the hell is.
I know.
It's a big business.
I don't know what the thing is.
It feels like it.
It does feel like it.
What were those ones that zipped over to Britain, the supersonic?
The Concord?
Concord.
Is that what is comb?
It doesn't do that anymore, right?
It's been shut down for a long time.
See the flying helicopter or the flying taxis?
Helicopters.
They keep talking about these flying helicopters.
I'll believe it when I see it.
I got to see it first.
I mean, they said in 2020 they have these.
I don't believe it.
This whole show was unraveled.
We were out of sorts at the start because we were doing something before the show that we came here.
They were late but early.
And then we stepped on a bloody landing.
Yeah, we did. Yeah, that was a rough one for sure. We need to decide or we need to figure out. We don't need to do it now, but if people are listening or watching, I don't know why you would at this point. I don't know what we're doing tomorrow. I can do it all. You said you couldn't do any reads. No, no, you do the reads.
What's your gut tell you, Jack? Without getting into it, what do you think are, just skip through all of the thought process that we'll go through.
what do you think we're going to end up doing tomorrow?
Man, we'll probably end up doing a show.
We'll do a show at some point.
Right.
Whether it's really early or really late or
or remote or pre-recorded.
And we pretend it's live.
I'm sure excited for that flames game tonight.
Wink.
Yeah.
So we'll have something for you tomorrow, probably.
Something.
for sure there'll be something
what a tease
such a tease
comment look at the old brooksie here

He's positive.
Positive dude.
Somebody's saying maybe you should get Jerome on.
I'm sure that'll, uh, when do you need me tomorrow?
What time?
How long?
Hopefully for a long time.
Longer, the better for me, Rhett.
Bet you that's what he'll say.
He's not answered.
That was quick.
Okay.
So, uh, great show today, Jack.
Good show, guys.
We're here, man.
Good show.
We accomplished a lot.
No awkward moments.
No, smooth.
Kind of what our show is all about.
Just forget about your troubles and just kick back and have some laughs and think sports and all the good things you have in life.
That's what I do.
NFL football, baseball game tonight.
For sure.
Lots of distractions.
Yeah.
If you need them, they're there for you.
Some distractions.

Real fast.
See you,
