So, yeah, he did. And so too did the Jets in a way. But the third goal is the worst goal. I think Fax's shot is the worst because I think HeloBuck's way too deep. He's way deep. Why are you way down there? And also, again, I feel like has lost his net.

I'm going to watch the round one of the NHL playoffs. And someone was like, hey, one of the goalies in the playoffs here was far and away the best goalie in the league by like a mile. And we'll run away maybe a unanimous selection for the Vezna. You can rank all 16 to 20 goalies you saw in round one of the playoffs. Connor Hallibuck might be last on that list. I don't know who had a worse playoffs. Kemper gave up a lot of goals. Had a couple of games where he looked great, a bunch.

And again, it's seven to two, right? But the worst goal in round one by a lot of the metrics is Connor Helibuck. And they somehow get through. And in a weird way, that goal that makes a three to one might have been the best thing for the Jets or the worst thing for St. Louis. Because from that point on, shots were 3413 Winnipeg. Yeah, they took over. St. Louis did, much like what we criticized, easy to do in hindsight. Sit back.

Protecting a two goal lead, 3-1, they didn't force the issue. What's the time of that goal that you bring up that? The FACSA was 1925 of the second. So 3-1 heading to the room. If it's 2-1, maybe it's a little bit different to start that third period. Jets just looked better. It finally got back to that. I know what you're saying, but I think we're,

three ones, two goalings. Oh, I know. I know. St. Louis is happy they score there. No question. Yeah. But the Jets, I thought,

started to take over in the second, really. They were way behind on the shot clock early. I don't know if you remember that. Yeah. 10 minutes in there. And they end up blowing the doors off them on shots and chances. It just took them a while to get going.

And when you watch the first two goals, you see uncharacteristic mistakes and guys that are probably trying to do too much. And their goalie, most importantly, settled in for the third and over times. I think the Jets are 100% rattled when Morrissey leaves the game. I think it, I think when Morrissey leaves the game, the

bench is what? Yeah. Morrissey four shifts, two minutes and nine seconds. So it was like the seven minute mark of the first and he's gone and not only is, are you without Shifley to begin with, now you're without your best

defender by a mile. Yep. And you've got 50 some odd minutes left in the game. And you're down too at that point I believe as well. Like that's a real tough start. I don't know you can have a worse start to game seven than what that was when you consider the loss of Morrissey. The blues have to be wondering last night through a sleepless night today. What did we, how did this happen?

What did the hockey gods? Why did this? It was hockey gods. And it just happens. We can't control hockey gods. Those are two pretty perfect tips from perfect. I was going to say how many times if you were to do. it all over again is perfetti going to tip both of those pucks perfectly where they need to go the

domestic off shot going in or that for perfetti like he had an open net like it's not that first tip how many times do you have to practice that that's a cross and even if you're doing it a hundred times a day how many of those go in how many are going where they need 50 40 i don't know oh that seems high you got to be so good at that low percentage that's what they'd call that yeah then then the Nemesnikoff one goes off of Shen, and then off of a skate. So this is, yeah, this is the, again, it's, there's two minutes left.

Yeah, this should be putting it to bed. Every little play. Even the game tire will, we'll see again. Like, Eler's at the point, bibles it. Yeah. Yeah. And then has the poise with less than three seconds left. I was yelling and get it on that.

He goes cross ice. He doesn't even put it on net. And then that is not a pass. That is a, a fan shot by Connor. Every one of these things has to happen at the exact time. If, if Eeler's here stops it. If Connor stops it, it's the game is over. But it's one touch, one touch. And I think if Connor gets it on

net the game's over. Do you know what I mean? Like he's not passing that to Perfetti. He's trying to rip it past Bennington. And I think Bennington or the defenseman block that puck. Like how far back is standing on that. And doesn't it go off? It goes off of his stick.

Yeah, it goes off Fox stick. It's watch this. Incredible. Unbelievable. Right there. Wild hockey gods. That's hockey gods. And I think it was the game.

and B and B four, too. And then. Hockey gods got in fault and a very talented hockey. And then the overtime winner is off of a body, off of Lowry's pants and in. I predicted that one.

Pants and in or Lowry. Lauer. And Lauer is a nice play on the tithe. And the shift. And that's a nice little play by Pionk with his, I said to my kids because they're defensemen. You let him know.

Do you see how he, just a little shift? Just a little shimmy. Just a little angle chain. And I'll say this. It's a great drink toss by the fan. It is a good drink. Can we see that again, Jack?

They didn't look good for half the game. Yeah. Yeah. Well, and it's a game seven and it's at home and everybody's quiet. That whatever white fans outside, whatever the hell they call out.

That's right. White fans outside. Yeah. That does. And it was meant that way. So we're canceled again. but how about the roller coaster how many people you shut the TV off how many people went downtown in Winnipeg ready for a hell of a party and okay let's get the hell out of here before everybody

after that goal how many guys came running around the corner that it left already you're coming back everyone yeah I heard a scream end of two I'm like okay uh let's get out of here we'll get out of here before everybody else like there's no way The young man lobbied hard. Fax's goal before the end of two, it would have been like, okay, we're leaving. We've got, you know what, I put this up. It's getting fizzy with it.

I guess maybe if you're from Saskatoon and you're a fan of the Blues or the Shenz or whatever, this is not a celebration. This is a very difficult loss for the Blues. But if you do, oh, I meant to put this in. I was going to send this. Let's do the... They've got one kid going on.

This one was actually the story. This is from 2004. Oh, I would, Larry? He's a Calgary kid. Now, I was born in St. Louis, oddly enough, beating the blues here because his dad was a St. Louis blue. But I kind of grew up in Calgary. Look it back in 2004 as a member of the Bow Valley, Adam 1 Spitfires. Oh, Spit fires.

Firing on the pads there at the Southland Leisure Center. See a net there? He's a net there. Wow. Look at this kid. It's like Otani. He can play net. Must have been a playoff game.

With kids sport, Calgary, he came out and did one of our charity ball games. He was at the targets for kids. That's great human. Yeah, good family, good guy. And we'll run this just because it's kind of sweet. Rick Bonus, Bones, his former coach in Winnipeg, and he was on the TNT panel for the post-game interview with Lowry. It's Bones. Listen.

Oh, bones. You know what I think of you. Oh, you'll bring a tear to my eye. I know, man. I know. Listen, that's why you're captain. That effort and that guts the effort from that team to the tonight personifies you, your work ethic, your team commitment, your compete. Man, I couldn't be happier for you.

And I'm here to talk to you about the NHL draft lottery. For the first time ever, the 2025 NHL Draft Lottery will broadcast the live drawing of the balls. We'll be determining the order of the first 16 picks in the draft. The 16 teams that missed the Stanley Cup playoffs are eligible. But no team can move up more than 10 spots, meaning only 11 teams have a shot at the first overall pick. The odds are based on the final regular season standings. Here's how it works. We load 14 balls numbered 1 to 14 into a lottery machine and then draw four of them.

We use 1,004 ball combinations which are randomly assigned to each team based on their lariots. The full list is available on NHL.com. Now the fun begins. We load the 14 balls into the machine and draw for the first and second overall picks. For each draw, we pull four balls. As each number comes out, odds change, and teams are eliminated. And as the excitement builds, we'll update home viewers on who is still in the running.

Once four balls are drawn, we'll have our draft lottery winner. Then we re-sec and repeat to determine the second pick. If accommodation assigned to the first draw winner comes up again, we redraw.
