Rabbit, rabbit.
Nah.
You guys know what I did with my liners?
Where did I put my liners?
Any idea?
My notes.
What's a liner?
Exactly.
Fucking what's a liner?
That's perfect.
It's worked in radio for 10 years.
That's perfect.
Well, we'll go with these.
How are we doing, everybody?
Welcome to the, welcome to the pod here on Friday.
The man is in Rochester, Calgary, Buffalo, Rochester.
you are really hitting all of life's destinations.
Rochester, Calgary, Calgary, Buffalo, Rochester.
Wow, you should just get a condo there or something.
I love Rochester.
Great support.
Yeah.
Well, I've heard great things.
Yeah, one of my favorite places to not get stabbed.
Right at the top of the list.
Yeah, anytime you get out of here, not stabbed.
Great.
Is it very?
Is it stabby?
Oh, yeah.
Really?
There are spots.
Rhett, you know, if you get a couple blocks away from that,
drink downtown. There is some like, no, no, just don't go outside. Wait till the cab pulls up.
Hustle. It's tough. It's tough. There's lovely parts as well. I think Pittsburgh is like a suburb on
the outside where all the fancy people live and old homes and lots of history. Penguins players.
Kodak or Xerox or one of those famous companies is from there. RIT is there. Lots of old smart
institutions in there. You ever been stabbed? I mean, Redd, I know you spent
time in jail.
Have you been shanked?
I never had the shank, no.
Just the jailhouse, the jailhouse tat.
The tat, yeah.
He's good in the cell.
You're great in the cell.
Shank him.
All the ex-cons love you.
He's just an ordinary guy.
He's just one of us.
Lovable long-armed convict.
We're very close.
Well, it is, uh,
is it still a gauntlet run?
Is that, uh,
you're goddamn right.
It is.
Okay. All right. Show me a 15 game stretch. It's harder. We'll call that the goal.
No, okay. I'm just, I just wanted to, because I think it is. And I, I, I know we're
on the same page. Maybe we've just been a month later, a month early. Because they were
ready for them, they were ready for them to be good in October and they weren't, two, six and one.
And then we were ready for them to be really bad in November. And frankly, they haven't been.
They went eight, four and two. So eight four and two.
Right?
It's not terrible.
18 of 24 points.
No.
Yeah.
18 of 28.
8.4.2 is not terrible, Dean.
Thank you for pointing that out.
It's actually quite good.
Yeah.
Especially after you started 2, 6 and 1 like you pointed out.
That's right.
Yeah.
2.7 and 1.
Okay.
Oof.
Yeah.
So 2, 6 and 1 in October.
And then they opened with that 4-3 loss to Dallas.
Where I was talking with Cammy last night,
We were just happy at that point.
If you're going to lose a bunch of games this year,
at least let them be fun to watch.
Please entertain us, right?
They don't even need to be that close.
Just like the right way.
Play hard and let us see some goals or whatever.
And then start winning.
And kind of kept winning for a little bit.
I haven't really stopped winning.
Hmm.
Well, we'll see.
So what do we got here?
I still think I know what we've got.
I think that teams in the national hockey league,
you'll have these sorts of here, this,
these sorts of things.
Yep.
Ups and downs, peaks and valleys.
I think they're on one of the peaks right now.
Hard to argue that.
I anticipate a valley at some point in the relative near future.
Now, maybe it's just a little,
maybe it's not a huge crater, but.
back-to-back overtime wins against two of the best teams in the Western Conference.
They played Colorado very hard in their game last week.
They lost by whatever it was a goal and really were the better team for a good chunk of the second and the third period.
So, hey, good on them.
You know what?
They're said it the other day and I'll say it again, just watching that team last night as they scored their first tie in goal that didn't count and then scored another tie in goal that did count and then scored the game.
game winner, they seem to be enjoying each other.
They are enjoying the fact that they're scoring goals.
They're excited to score.
They're excited to play well and win.
And they're kind of, it seems like liking one another, which hasn't always been
the case.
The other thing is like, look, teams get lucky and go on runs.
We saw Vancouver, like every sixth puck was going in and Demko was upside down,
power play was electric.
Like, it's just like those things are unsustainable.
what we're watching here is a team that's outchancing and out shooting and out playing teams and winning.
There's not a lot of luck here in this beginning of this tough run.
They're what, three and one to start the gauntlet run?
Like you're outplaying very good teams.
Now you've seen some backups, but hey, you only face who you face.
They're very good teams.
They've done well.
I don't see this as like some unsustainable luck-driven thing.
They've played very well into your point.
It's as good as are happy and content as they've looked for.
for over a year.
Yeah.
We use,
we call them dysfunctional
on a daily basis
for a good calendar year.
They seem less dysfunctional,
almost functional.
If that's the opposite of dysfunctional.
I feel like it might be.
Did you get a chance to watch them?
That's Ritro.
I bit some pieces here and there.
I didn't,
I couldn't watch it.
Delicious.
Yeah.
Start.
It's a finish.
Dips.
I had lots of blue cheese dip last night too.
Yeah.
Yeah, well, that's important.
It was good.
I still am confused, though, because yes, they are working harder and they seem to be more functional and having more fun, but I still look at the lineup and go, hmm.
You don't have to full screen me, Jack Attack, nobody needs to see the, want to see your sex toys in the back of the magazine?
Yeah, in the background in your hotel room.
Chugs.
With a Z, J-UG-Z.
Some sort of antique magazine.
No, he's a potter guy
distracted me and I have no clue what I was talking about.
You said you don't think they're that confusing you.
Oh, yeah, because when you look up Dallas's lineup,
you can go, oh, yeah, yeah, there's some real high-end talent there.
Like that.
And I look at the flames and I go, okay.
But how are they going to win?
If this team was ever going to be good, how was it going to look?
Like this, by committee, good goal-sending, defensive structure.
bounces, timely goals.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And the goals aren't going to come at the rate that they have of late.
It's a really nice run for goals.
They're not a team that's going to put up four and five all the time.
And they have quite a bit recently.
You think of the two Dallas games alone where they got 11 goals.
But if you were going to say the flames are going to be good,
you say, well, they have to do it with goaltending and good structure.
And the structure just wasn't there in October.
They were turning over the puck like crazy and allowing breakaways and odd man rushes.
and just not managing the puck at all.
And when they're playing well now,
it's like, yeah, a lot of that's gone away.
You even look at last night.
You talk about things that went the right way.
I don't think Dallas was good.
That has to be one of their poorest efforts of the year.
They were held 13 shots.
What were the final shots?
3213.
More than dollars.
And still, they had three defensemen score goals.
One of them off of the skate,
the toe of your defenseman and into your own net.
Then the flame scored a goal.
it was disallowed. Then they got another one. You know what I mean?
They got the hockey gods were smiling on the flames last night and it was a bad game for Dallas.
I don't know how many times all those are going to slot in where they did last night.
And it feels like we're trying to take away from a team that's playing well right now.
And I, that's probably unfair. They beat Dallas. They've beaten Dallas. They have played Dallas well for the most part.
They win the season series, right? Yeah. That's nice. You take four out of a possible six points from a team that everyone's
is a legit cup contender.
That's a good season series.
The first one you finished, I believe.
They always play Dallas hard, and it's always good games.
I've told you that the other day.
Yeah, it's true.
Just going to bring in a,
because the chat line is open if you want to connect with the show.
There's one here from George.
Ret, you can meet us at Fridays.
All right, I'll be there.
How long hour today, short show?
Extra long, Rochester time.
George, he's buying.
Does that what you read there?
I don't see that.
I don't know.
Deal text back.
Yeah, all right.
We'll see what he says.
We're coming if you're buying, George.
Um, so Tannav stays in, gets not concussed.
Wild.
Few stitches, scores.
Yeah, got to get off the toe of a defense.
But still, Russian the puck played well, blocked a bunch of shots.
I just loved how it was Tanna of going to the near post.
And it was Hanifin on the back door like, who's, like, who's watching the fort boys?
Eddie, you go back door.
I'll lug it in here.
Fellas, who's driving the bus?
But it's another one of those things that he took a puck in the face, bleeding on the ice,
came back and played the next game, scored a goal, blocking shots, trade him RFN.
Right now.
Well, but if you're a team that's going to be Dallas and Vegas and,
Outwork Colorado, how are you trading guys?
This is the kind of guys.
Teams win with.
This is the type of warrior you want on your side when you go into the playoffs.
So definitely trade him immediately.
Conroy will get absolutely, he's being roasted already, I think, by some for trading Zedorov.
But if you trade TANF now, like, you don't do it now.
You got three months, right?
They miss the playoffs?
Not at this rate.
taking pucks in the jib and walking down the
frigging tunnel twice.
Well, I'm not, I'm not even arguing.
But yeah, you've got three months to make up your mind.
I don't think you want to commit to whether this team is a contender or a seller
until you've used a lot of that time to figure out and see more of this.
Because to your point to start the whole conversation,
they were shit for one month.
They were great the next.
George Buckeroff, all right?
We're trying to do a show here.
Go eat your freaking potato skins.
Extra pee pee for your kid.
Great.
All right.
So let's get into it.
We'll come back to the game a little bit.
Another overtime game.
Hey, Greta, more free Nugs.
That's right.
Hey.
Fliams are going to be handed out 42.
What are we doing here, guys?
We got all these people coming in.
We got thousands of people coming in looking for nuggets.
We're not going to make the rent.
Damn it.
It's good knowing you, Greta.
It's a hell.
It's a really great place.
It's too bad that this nugget thing is putting you out of business.
Another news, the price of chickens have gone up.
They're moving them.
Yeah. No, if you've got the proof of purchase from last night's game,
anytime they go to overtime at home and win,
slide down to Greta, not that far, and enjoy a,
and they shake it up.
Last year, it was kind of credits for video games and that this year right now.
And it's Pinder inspired, I got to believe,
a free order of the street nuggets at Greta for a limited time.
So go to the...
I see last night.
Yeah.
Greta Bar, Greta Bar.com, Greta Bar Y, Y, C.
and you'll be able to find the details there.
But thank you, Greta, for keeping us full of chicken,
full of chicken nuggets.
The deal with Nikita Zadorov,
I don't know that we saw it coming, yet we knew it was coming.
Is that fair?
I don't know that there was really any rumblings.
Even earlier in the day,
I saw that Zadorov did a little sit down with Parker of Flames TV
talking about where the team's at
and playing the Dallas Stars later tonight.
No, he wasn't.
No, no, you weren't.
There's the deal.
Vancouver.
gets Zadorov, they win the sweepstakes,
the big cat sweepstakes,
and the acquires
definitely spelled wrong. Third round pick
from Vancouver in 2026, and a fifth
rounder next year, that will be a Chicago Blackhawk pick.
The best of, they will have multiple picks.
Chicago, it's the best of those picks. Those were the terms of the deal that was
made with Vancouver. Those now slide across to Calgary.
So it's a fifth and a third.
And the third's a long ways away.
The third is.
And the thing is, is like, I don't know that you wouldn't trade two thirds in 20,
26 for one this summer.
It's a long way away.
If you have to wait eight years for something, like, what are the odds?
Craig's the GM still.
And that's not to suggest that.
Whoa, hey, what?
Let me finish.
The average length of a GM in the NHL is probably shorter than the amount of time it'll
take for that pick to be entering the front door.
Oh, my.
What the hell are you doing?
You're hung over, aren't you?
What the fucking Jesus?
You rotten booze drinking.
Like, come on.
He's your buddy.
That's our,
I like that I said, just to make that
and then boom, it was, nope, can't finish that thought
because we're going to hit you with a shovel first.
The average length of a GM is what do you think, fellas?
Twelve years.
God, no.
Well, what is it?
it's more than three or four.
Right.
But my point is it's probably less than what it takes for a 2026 third rounder to get to the NHL,
where you find out he is.
He's not a ordinary GM.
He's an ex, you know, the old captain of the team, for Christ's sakes.
He's committed.
He is.
So what did you think of the deal?
Get rid of it.
It's fine.
Yeah.
And I mean, we talked about it yesterday.
It feels a touch light.
It's, we don't know the room, but it didn't seem like he was a huge problem.
although it's probably better with them going.
Yes, please tell us what you really think.
That would be great.
I think the owner liked having all the money.
I believe in conversations that I'm sure we've all had since,
what that I've had since,
that that was kind of the,
that was the Trump card for Conroy to get this deal done.
He knew it was going to,
he's a,
he's a five, six defenseman.
I think we kind of forget that.
I think because,
I think because he was tied to the Maple Leafs,
all the leaf fans,
and the Leaf Media started watching and saw all his hits and how he could skate and poke check and that.
Like, this guy's unbelievably.
We've got to have this guy.
When in reality, we've known for a long time, he's a bottom pair guy.
Yes.
He can play in your three, four, but you don't want him there very long.
No.
So what does, what's the going rate for a guy in your bottom pair who's an expiring UFA?
Yeah.
And I think you also have to acknowledge that this isn't just a five.
This isn't like a, you know, somebody that just eats 14 minutes.
He's an incredibly physically imposing player that the type the GMs pay a premium for for the playoffs.
Sure.
It was only days ago you said you'd want a second.
So I think that's fair.
I don't think anything's changed since then.
I think you would have liked to get a second.
And if you're worried about eating all the money, wait till two thirds of the salaries paid off at the deadline.
That was your other option here.
Yeah, your option was to not do the deal and hope that you get a second.
And hope you get a second.
There's no guarantees.
And there was no guarantees.
And I think that what the deal does is on one hand, yes, I guess it saves ownership some money right now.
But what it also does is it allows you to have a little bit of space.
We've talked, and I don't know that it happens, but the opportunity is there if you want to eat some money.
And if you want to take a deal, if there's a deal that comes up down the road where it's you eat salary and take our bad contract, you've got more room to do that now.
You don't what I mean?
Or if you're good and you're asking.
you've got room.
Sure. Yeah. Exactly. Yeah. But we've always
talking about it. A weapon. You can use it a lot of ways.
Yeah. About teams that are kind of that haven for bad contracts.
Yeah. We'll get paid either by prospects or picks to do so. We will see.
Will they be adding? Will they be trading? But I think that, uh, I don't know. I,
it felt a little bit like the Tofoli thing where you had it in your mind,
what a return was going to be. Yeah. And then it wasn't. But,
then you take a step back and it's
what are you trading away here?
Well, I mean, Defoea, you're trading a guy
come off a career high that scored 35 goals.
That felt a little light. Here you're
selling a very marketable number five, a very
strong number five. That felt a little light.
Doesn't mean you can't win these.
It's just that your probability of winning
these deals is lower than you'd like it to be.
Looking forward to talking to our next guest because I saw
he had a tweet about it and we'll be able to

Darren Dregg joins us here on the show today.
Dregs, how are we doing, pal?
Yeah, I'm doing well.
Good morning, fellas.
Good to see you.
Good to see you. Now, as you can imagine, as soon as a trade is done, the fan base on both sides are left to, okay, so did we win? Do we lose? Vancouver fans, they thought this was great. They really liked it. Flames fans, as you probably heard when you came in, maybe feels a little bit light. But the, and you kind of tweeted about it that maybe the key is not so much the picks. It's about Vancouver taking all of the salary and Calgary shedding all 3.75 million.
Yeah, and look, there were teams around the NHL that thought that the return was a little bit late,
but you do have to look at it from Conroy's perspective and Calgary's standpoint here.
Lots of interest in Zedorov provided Calgary was willing to retain money.
And Calgary was willing to retain money.
They didn't want to, but how do you retain money?
Well, you're coerced into retaining money by getting a sweetener as part of the deal.
And the teams that needed the Calgary Flames, like the Toronto Maple Leafs, needed the
claims to eat some of the salary, weren't willing to pay the price that Conroy had established
whatever that was to retain money. Okay, that's fine. Craig Conroy obviously knew, even though he
didn't love the idea of trading them to another Canadian market, let alone within the division of
the Vancouver Canucks, he knew that he had that deal there. So as soon as the Vancouver Canucks
move to the Chicago Blackhawks, they've created cap flexibility. And they did it because of the move
they just made. They knew that they wanted to and needed to bolster their blue line. So what we've
learned over the years with a hard salary cap is that it is currency when you've got that level of
flexibility. And I heard you guys talk about, you know, what Conroy and company might do with that
flexibility. Do they create more with some of the other pending unrestricted free agents? Time will tell.
But they could also be in a brokering position, right, where they acquire more assets.
as being now a 13 lender as part of a trade process.
So this gives Conroy a lot more maneuverability than what he had.
And let's not also overlook.
Here's a player, even though he was a good teammate,
a good third-parring defenseman didn't really want to be in Calgary anymore, right?
I mean, he made that abundantly clear through his agent Dan Millsing.
So I think that Conroy did good work here
and what turned out to be not such a great situation overall.
Why now?
I mean, I understand there's the player wants so,
but you also don't want to just cave anytime a player makes your request.
And you also heard Craig come out and say,
we're doing it when it's good for the flame,
not when it's good for Nikita.
Well, you know what?
I think it's just a recognition of the value of Zedorov on the trade landscape.
Now, the four of us may have a different feel on this,
but he gets a third and a fifth round pick.
What if he waits till the trade deadline and maybe he squeezes that third down to a second?
was it worth the weight? Maybe you've missed out. You think so?
Absolutely. I think a third you got such a better chance to get in a player than a second than a third.
And again, it's a third three years. They have a third this year. I'd love to hear why it's not this year's third.
Okay. Well, that's, yeah, that's interesting. I mean, the actual years was the 24 and 26.
Yeah. Yeah. That's a bit of a head scratcher. You know, I'm sure that Vancouver would explain it maybe better than the Calgary Flames. It's just,
So if you're willing to wait, you know, that trade is made late November, right?
If you're willing to wait until March 8th, imagine all the possibilities that perhaps have disappeared because you just were waiting.
You weren't getting what you thought you needed to get to move up from a third to a second.
So for me, I think we're splitting hairs a little bit there.
I'm more curious, you know, and I mentioned a minute or so ago, all the teams that needed Cal
to retain and the fact that Calgary didn't want to, but there was a willingness to retain.
Okay, well, what was Conroy expecting to retain salary?
Like, are you looking for another draft pick?
Like a second or third?
Like, what sort of scenario would Calgary have had to command in order to retain money?
Because they're saying they didn't want to, but they were willing to.
They just couldn't get the appropriate sweep.
Yeah.
3.75 million.
It's not insignificant.
and I would think that now you can you can retain a maximum of three players, correct, in terms of retained salary.
Yeah.
I would think that if you're going to retain salary on a potential Hanifin or Lindholm deal, that would be the more significant.
Yeah, you could have done it here, but you don't want to potentially hamstring yourself, I guess, down the road.
And what if Zedorov's play goes down?
Because we all kind of agree, he's had a pretty good start to the season.
There's still the hiccups in his game and he's going to have that forever.
But he has, he's put together a good sizzle reel for other teams to take a look.
at so far this season. So he moves on the back though, right? That's what he's a five, six,
depending on, you know, the team that he's going to in Vancouver. He'll, he'll comfortably play there.
And, Rhett, you've talked about this too. Even if he's being a good teammate right now and
they're winning and he's excited, you know, he's happy to see the goals go in and all of that.
Once you kind of dip your toe into that trade me, those trade me waters, is it not hard to kind
to kind of just look down the bench and feel like I think I'd love us to all be all in here. But I know,
that you're not.
I think it is, and I think the flames are playing well,
and I think that having a guy that's said he doesn't want to be there,
make it a little awkward.
So I'm not,
and again, I'm not alluding to him being a bad teammate.
No.
I just think it's a, it's, it's never a good situation.
He's played worse since the request to your point.
That hasn't helped airing this publicly.
I thought he's dipped since then.
Yeah.
It's, you know, it's, I'm not going to say that Vancouver settled on Zedorov.
There wouldn't be many coaches in the NHL that don't like big hulking physical defensemen, right?
But from a coaching perspective, I think that Vancouver would have preferred TANF because of the right shot and the need that they have in Vancouver.
But, you know, again, they wanted to improve their blue line.
And I think they've done that.
But I, you know, as soon as a trade like this goes down, we're not that far removed from U.S. Thanksgiving, you know, then social media blows up.
Oh, geez, you know, there's a first domino.
this is going to be fun.
Can't wait for the next one.
Is this a fire sale now in Calgary?
And no, it isn't.
You know, if somebody steps up on Tannafore, they step up on one of the other pieces
and they make Conroy think, of course, he has to consider it.
There's no doubt about that.
I'm more interested in some of the other managers.
Danny Breyer for the Philadelphia Flyers.
You know, he's got pieces there that he's trying to pedal out, right?
He's got Cieler, he's got Sean Walker.
Ristelainen, that's a tough contract.
through 26, 27 of 5.1.
But he's playing better of late.
You know, the Columbus guys with Peek and Boquist.
So now that one guy is gone and there's sort of been a trade market established here,
is that going to put any sort of outside pressure on some of the sellers?
Because the buyers are still there.
You know, Brad Triloving and the Toronto Maple Leafs need to do something with their defense.
And so we'll see.
I don't think, again, that it's going to spark this flurry of trades,
but I think that we will see more activity in the days and weeks ahead.
We've got to joked about it.
I said with Tanna, he takes the puck to the face the other night.
Look how so grizzled and tough.
It comes back last night and he manages to score a goal.
Yeah.
But it seems like every other game, he's walking down that tunnel during the game
to get some sort of treat, but I just.
A lot of miles on that, Chasse.
God, I love them.
You love waiting until the deadline.
to get the most for your player potentially and theoretically in a bidding war.
I more now than ever, he feels like a gamble to push.
I just wonder if it's maybe one of those things too where Conroy will look at it and say,
it's good enough.
Let's do this now.
And there's a guy you can retain salary on too.
Yeah, I'm with you.
But you know what's become fashionable now for the agents?
And if you're Chris Tannuf, you've got Newport, if you're Noah Hanif and you've got Papperson,
CAA, Hart.
hockey. Look at the M.O. here, fellas, right? So Paperson orchestrates the trade sending Pierre
Luke Dubois to the Los Angeles Kings from the Winnipeg Jets. Well, what did Pierre Luke Dubois get in
addition to a new address? He got a smoking contract extension. So I would think that Brezon's
going to try and do the same thing with Noah Hanofan. And I would think that Newport, Wade Arnett,
and that group are going to try and do the same thing with Chris Tannof. And, you know, sometimes it works.
And sometimes that's how you squeeze more juice, right?
If you're the team that's selling off those pending unrestricted pre-agents,
because now you're not only getting a player that can help you.
He's not a rental.
You're extending and you're getting that early opportunity to extend.
So I think with those two guys in particular,
and we might as well throw Lindholm into that equation too
because of how highly respected he is around the NHL,
all three of those situations for me are a bit more complicated.
Yeah, and there's an eight team no trade for Hannafin, a 10 team for TANF.
I mean, if you're Conroy, what has to happen for you to allow another team to talk contract with these guys?
Do you need to know that a certain price is met or is it?
Yeah, yeah, talk to them now and then bring me your offer.
Like, how do you approach this?
I think you have to have had deep conversation negotiation with that general manager and get to a place where,
all right, we're close.
And then the manager says, well, I can't give you.
that unless I'm confident that I can extend that contract.
And then, you know, but, you know, technically it would be tampering.
I'm not suggesting that this has happened with these agents specifically in the past.
But the big boys have players on every single team in the national hockey league.
And you're constantly talking to hockey execs on those teams about a myriad of things.
You know, sometimes it's just playing time.
The player isn't happier.
It's a player in the American League.
And hey, you know, are you still getting calls on Chris Tannoff, Noah Hannafin?
Yeah, we're getting calls.
Well, let me know.
I'm playing the agent role here.
You let me know because I would think just based on the interest that I've had in
players, wondering what the future might be, you let me know because I think I might
be able to help you out.
That's normally how it comes to you.
It's interesting.
Noah Hanofan, five goals in 23 games.
He's got 11 points.
That's pretty good for Noah Hanofan.
Elias Lindholm has five goals in 23 games.
And there's a lot that's going on.
We've seen the young kids come in
and Nazam Cadry's been rejuvenated
and Huberto moved down to the backlin line
and now he's tied for the team leading points.
On the top, you've got Andrew Madrapani,
one goal in 12 games and Lindholm,
who hasn't just has not seemed to me at least to find track.
This feels like a player who's going to be traded.
Yeah.
But it's curious.
I don't know.
Like you talk about who's looking at Elias Lindholm right now and saying, yeah,
we're in for eight years at whatever the number is.
And we're willing to give up picks and prospects.
He's not playing well enough.
No.
To garner much that's going to get you excited.
You're right.
And because of that, I'm sure that Conroy is going to exercise patience.
You know, why would you, you know,
you know, move a player now like that who going into the season, because he's going in the
final year of his contract, I had somebody say to me a general manager, not an agent,
that teams are going to line up down the block for this guy. That's how high value he is.
And the offense has to be part and parcel of that. But it's the other aspects of his game
that kind of make him whole when you're considering that. But, you know, things don't pick up for him.
and he's sagging and you're worried about that extension.
Undoubtedly, that's going to hurt what you're getting back.
He's been really durable too.
I agree with Boom.
Like Tannav's the one you really worry about pushing the timeline just because of how many times he's down the tunnel
and how many games he averages to miss a year.
I mean,
I think in Lennholmes was two games in the last half decade.
It's incredibly terrible.
That's a guy you're like, yeah, play him every night.
Play him out of the funk.
Don't worry about, you know, this guy getting hurt.
It could happen to anyone, but it's a lower probability than TANF.
for sure.
And here the flames are.
We talked about it.
They were two, six and one to start the year in the month of October.
And they were much better in November.
And it's a long way to go.
But there are 500 team as we sit here on December 1st, 10, 10 and 3.
At the end of October, we sure didn't think they were going to be in this spot.
And I'm guessing Conroy maybe didn't either.
I just wonder what does this now put all the breaks on.
First, it was putting the brakes on all the contract extension talk.
And I just wonder, what is that?
We thought this would be very straightforward.
for Conroy. It's a sell
position and the team's going to make this easy for you.
And now it's tricky because you're in that bubble spot again.
Yeah. And honestly, Dean, I think it depends on who you ask within that organization.
Because there's going to be different views of this, right?
I'm sure that ownership has a different understanding in view of what they think is the best
direction. The owners always want to make money. Of course they do. They're business people.
And making money means you've got to find a way to scratch and claw into the
playoffs. But then you've got the hockey operations guy and the general manager normally is
in the middle, right? Because he's got to address the wants of the owner. But then from a hockey
perspective, he's got to think longer term. And the longer term approach would be, okay, well, let's
sell these assets and let's retool, even if it comes at the expense of not qualifying for the playoffs.
We're a long way from the Calgary Flames having to make that determination. But then I think
Do you not have to think back to, okay, let's use Noah Hanofin here as Exhibit 8.
This guy pushed a $60 million contract off the table on a mega year extension.
Talk about having confidence in your ability and what you're going to demand and lure on the open market if you get to the open market.
So could there be a change of heart where Hanifen comes back or Tanof says,
I want to stay in Calgary or Lindholm, yeah, I want to stay in Calgary.
I guess, I mean, it seems doubtful, but I guess that's possible.
But then again, all of those pieces in the decision-making wheel of the Calgary Flames have to come together and decide,
okay, are we into it for the long-term better of the organization?
Or are we just trying to qualify for the playoffs and see if we can run for it?
We don't know the answers to that yet.
I can tell you, I know that there are different viewpoints inside the hierarchy of the flames.
No question about that, but nowhere near making that decision ultimately at this point.
I think Jerome has an opinion for sure.
Will McRae has an opinion.
I think ownership has an opinion.
Oh, yeah.
I'm sure Dave Nones is sitting there.
He's got his hand up.
Do you imagine Iggy in the boardroom table?
I mean, he'd be pounding this fest and some of these guys.
We've got to do better foundation.
100% I can visualize that.
Yeah, that's Conway.
Well, you know, Jerome just wants to do this.
Well, you got to get younger out.
Geez, Jerome, okay.
Well, you know, it's not that easy, you know.
Craig's got a lot on his plate.
He's got a lot of balls.
Those two bickering back and forth would be a reality TV show.
It would be.
It would be.
Meanwhile, up the road, it's four in a row now for the Oilers.
They hang in and get a, what a shootout win, I guess,
or overtime, whatever it was against Vegas,
a couple nights ago last night.
They're down 1-0.
They tie it late and get a win over the jets.
Are they back?
Are they on track?
Yeah.
I'm reluctant to say they're back.
Clearly, they're on a better track than they were.
But it's the usual pieces that have fallen in the place.
And it's not just because Connor McGavit is playing like Connor McDavid again.
You know, it obviously goes beyond that.
Their goaltending has been good.
Stu Skinner looks like an NHL goaltender again.
Darnell Nurse is playing way better than he has in a long, long time.
He chews up some big minutes.
You know, Evan Bouchard doesn't look like the disaster that he looked like in the defensive zone,
especially.
He settled his game down.
And then you've got McDavid and Drysiddle and Van der Kaine, like some of the other guys that
you lean on on a consistent basis to contribute offense that are playing the right way.
It's not just about, you know, piling up the points.
They're playing the right way.
So it feels like they're back on track.
And, man, they had to flip that switch.
Let's see if they can maintain it because they were getting into real dangerous territory
where mathematically, you know, you're looking at the standings and going,
at one point, I think there were 18 points back of the Vegas Golden Knights,
top of the conference.
And you're like, you can't make up those sorts of points.
And then you're lucky at the wild card.
And they're starting to slip out of the wildcard conversation.
So their timing is impeccable and it looks like they're back on track.
What do you expect from Patrick Kane?
He didn't look great with New York, but then he did have a pretty significant procedure.
But that procedure has been tough for hockey players.
Like it's a real good but bad, but bad.
I don't know where to go with expectations.
You know, I'm kind of with you.
You know, everything that we learned from CAA, the representation here through video and conversation was that now he feels great.
was in top shape.
There's no mobility issue, any of that.
Well, that's fine when you're skating in a circle in an empty arena.
When you're playing in a National Hockey League game,
obviously there's some wear and terror.
And then on top of that, in a condensed schedule where you're playing in back to backs and all that,
you know, Kane can't know until he's in it and he'll be in it next week.
And then that'll be the true test.
And I think it was wise because, look, Kane had had other options.
and he had other contract options as well.
So I think it was smart to take that one-year deal with the Detroit Red Wings.
He's got good history relationship with Alex DeBronka dating back to Chicago.
Derek Lone, the head coach of the Detroit Red Wings,
really sold it to Patrick Cain.
They had a connection there in those multiple face-to-face meetings
that they had throughout the process in terms of, you know,
kind of explaining what his fit would be and not just what he could do on the power play
and all of that.
It's just how they needed them to kind of drag this team into the next level of whatever it is that the Detroit Red Wings are going to be.
Right now it looks pretty good.
But I think it was smart to go with the one-year deal so that he can get a real feel for how his health is.
Because we're reminded of Nick Baxter in the Washington Capitals, right?
You know, things didn't go well for him.
Obviously didn't go well for him.
And so, you know, he's going to, it's going to be trial by fire for Patty Kane here in the very near future.
I'm just looking at the playoffs in the playoff picture as we sit here, start of December in the east.
And I can't help but wonder if maybe it's where it's, I still feel like New Jersey's got to get in there.
But Pittsburgh is, Pittsburgh is out.
How close do you think, American Thanksgiving, that whole thing?
How close are we to seeing the, the eight teams that are going to make it already into?
day. It's real tough. I mean, there are teams that aren't in that, you know, we thought we're going to
take a big step forward. I think of Ottawa. I think the Buffalo Sabres, yeah, they ran into injury
problem with Tage Thompson, Jack Quinn, those guys are going to come back. But is it a little late
right now for the Buffalo Sabres? New Jersey, for me, is a playoff team. They're hungry. It looks
like they've turned a corner, but man, what a sluggish start for the first 20 games for the New Jersey
Devils. And then I, you know, you mentioned Pittsburgh boomer and I, I wasn't sold on the whole
Eric Carlson trade. I really wasn't. I, you know, I think back to, okay, well, Brent Burns and
Eric Carlson didn't work in San Jose, but Chris LaTang and Eric Carlson are going to work in Pittsburgh.
I mean, how do you divide that puck in half? Like, he can't, you know, and, and LaTang is such a
mainstay there and such an important cog in the wheel of success in Pittsburgh.
and you know, you've got the aging
Hall of Famers.
So I thought Pittsburgh would be better than they are.
But when your goaltender is scoring goals for you,
then you know that things are on the uptick, right?
Yeah, that's what I am.
Yeah, Rhett, you said the same thing when that trade went down
because you get a, he's a Hall of Fame player,
Norris trophy winner.
Anytime you bring in a guy like that,
and especially for the assets that it gave,
it's a hell of a deal.
It'd be hard not to do the trade,
but, Rhett, you kind of said the same thing.
This is, it's just a bad fit.
My God's told me it was a bad fit.
Very rarely to do two of those types of players succeed together.
I don't know what it is, and I don't know why, but you just don't see it.
I just, I think that Pittsburgh had a chance just to kind of keep moving forward.
And you watched Carlson, sure, would he get 100 and some points last year?
It's because the games didn't matter.
He could do whatever he wanted it.
And he's always been a better.
player when that's the case.
And you know what this was about two fellows?
This was about Kyle Dubus coming into a new
organet. Kyle Dubus tried hard to acquire
Eric Carlson as general manager of the Maple Leafs.
They just couldn't get all the bingo balls to fall in the right
place. And, you know, there was never a deal that was close.
But man, he loved Eric Carlson.
It just had this vision of how great he would be in a Toronto
Maple Leafs uniform. Well, he obviously carried that vision in
Pittsburgh and convinced ownership that
this was the best path.
I just, I don't know.
That's a deal that
if it doesn't work, you're going to
pay for it for years to come.
Yeah. And it's, geez, like,
Eric Carlson makes you better. The problem is
Crystal Tang's like Eric Carlson light.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
We got, we're taking away.
Just to finish that.
Yeah. How much better does
Carlson make you if you have to take La Tang off
the ice? I don't think he makes you much.
better.
Like, you know, I'm with it.
It's better.
No, for sure.
Minnesota's here next week.
They just changed coaches.
They've been one of the bigger disappointments thus far.
Anything there?
Well, I mean, it's pretty obvious.
Their best players just got to find a way to produce, right?
I mean, you know, you've got Caprizov who isn't delivering the way that he did a year ago.
Boldie isn't doing what he did.
I mean, you look at the roster of the Minnesota while.
And I mean this respectfully when I talk about Matthew Dumbach.
But really, that's the only omission for the Minnesota Wild, right?
So whatever went down there, it came clearly at the expense of Dean Evesant.
I can assure you having conversations with Bill Guerin up until late last week.
He wanted no part of firing Dean Everson and Bob Woods.
He wanted no part of that.
Everyone has a boss, Craig Leopold had seen enough.
Something had been.
to give and it comes in the way of Dean Eveson and Bob Woods getting replaced by John
Heinz who comes in in the history there with Billy Guerin that dates back to the Pittsburgh
Cringleons days when John Heinz was in Wilkesbury in the American Hockey League.
But careful what you wish for, right?
Because I think the belief now is in Minnesota, okay, if you guys aren't going to give us
that second and third effort, if you're not going to commit, then maybe we're going to
to change how we play the game a little bit.
John Hines has noted as being a very detailed defensive coach.
So he is going to demand a structure.
Some offensive players will do that and do it happily just because it's for the greater
good.
Some don't love that idea.
So we'll see how Caprizzavent quite liked by the players as well.
It never goes over well when you got a guy.
And I don't know Heinz and maybe he's extremely well likes as well.
But I do believe the guys really enjoyed playing for Everson, even though they were playing that well.
And when you lose a guy that you like playing for, that can be, they can go both ways.
Well, Rhett, you probably had coaches like this.
Like the thing about Dean Everson is you always knew where you stood, right?
Like, he wasn't going to rip you a new one for no reason.
And he probably wouldn't do it publicly unless it was so egregious, he didn't have a choice.
But, you know, look that man in the eye and tell.
him that you're given 100% when you know in your heart you're only given 70. Good luck with that.
Because for me, even though he doesn't have the same story playing career, obviously,
but, you know, he reminds me a similar approach, Rick Tocke or Rod Brindamore,
just guys that automatically have that character that demands respect. So yeah, in that sense,
absolutely he was liked by the players. But how about the interview that he did with Mike
Barroso and the athletic? I loved it.
I loved it because there's Dean Eveson, you know, what, a day after getting plugged, a day maybe?
Yeah.
You know, he's like, hey, I didn't wake up this morning thinking I'm a bad coach.
I woke up this morning knowing I'm a good coach and I'm going to coach again.
So good for him, you know, he'll move on when the time is right.
But, you know, John Hines has his handsful trying to turn that bus around.
We were talking to McLennan a couple days ago, of course, with TSN, he's covering Senators hockey,
just about where DJ Smith is at.
Like you said, there were expectations,
and they're at the bottom of that conference,
and you've got some young players,
and you don't want young players to be in a negative atmosphere for too long.
What's your read on what's potentially happening there?
Well, they vow to be patient in Ottawa,
and that's Steve Stales and Michael Landlower, right?
They think that DJ Smith is a good coach.
They thought that going in, and that hasn't changed.
Now, you know, God rest of soul,
if we're going back to the days of Eugene Melnick,
You know, I talked about Craig Leopold.
I mean, there are many owners around the National Hockey League that are volatile because they let their emotions get the better of them.
Well, that was certainly the case with Eugene Melnick.
That's not the case with Michael Anilauer.
He's a smart hockey guy.
He knows that this team should be better and should be higher up in the standings in the East than what they are.
But he's not going to fire DJ Smith because the fans are chanting fire DJ.
I mean, no.
You know, but there's some signs, though,
that of late.
And I still don't think that Smith is on the hot seat.
I don't.
I think that's fabricated.
Could that change with another five-game slump?
Of course it could change.
I mean, it's such a fickle business.
He made a comment the other night,
and I think it was after getting slapped by the Florida Panthers,
where he literally dove on the sword post game and said,
it's my fault.
I didn't have these guys prepared right from the start.
That doesn't help.
That doesn't help.
I mean, these guys are paid professionals, highly paid.
Do you honestly think that by cracking the whip or showing them another two minutes of video
or reminding them of, oh, geez, keep an eye on Matthew Kachuk because he's a pain in the ass.
You know, like seriously, is that going to make a difference?
The fan base didn't need more reason to get on DJ Smith.
So, you know, maybe that's a small, small glimpse at some of the pressure that as a man, he's feeling.
You know, that could be part of it.
The weekend is here.
What's cooking professionally and personally?
Nothing really planned personally.
I'm actually heading to Seattle first thing on Sunday morning.
We've got the NHL Board of Governors meetings Monday, Tuesday in Seattle, which for those of us in the East,
look, it doesn't matter to me.
I blow a day traveling.
What does it matter to me?
All the Eastern Conference governors and owners are grumbling and mummling.
Ging, I'll go all the way to see.
How do I go through Vancouver?
How the hell do I get there?
So, anyway, I'll be heading west Sunday and then traveling most of the week,
if you're honest.
Yeah, except for living because he'll just hop on the jet, right?
The private jet and just.
Yeah, he's got it set up pretty good.
I don't even know if he's going.
It'll probably be Shanahan.
Yeah, there you go.
That's what you're probably right.
Brandon Shanahan and Larry Tanimam, most definitely will be on the private.
Yeah, B-O-G.
It's got a
When it's rainy.
That's a good idea.
Florida's still in Florida?
Yeah, isn't it?
Trust me.
I prefer it's normally in Florida.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Hey, have a great weekend.
Powell, talk to you next week.
Appreciate you.
All right, guys.
Have a good one as well.
There you go.
There's Darren.

It is interesting because usually it's some Del Boca Vista, Florida or something, right?
Well, and Seattle's lovely if it's July August, but this is rainy season right now.
Yeah, great.
town. It's usually in West Palm Beach, I think. Yeah. Is it? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Or Rochester.
No. Good spot. No. Is it never in Rochester? It's also rainy in Rochester, just so you know.
Hmm. It's actually quite nice here. It's crazy nice. Didn't, it has to have been some sort of record
breaking November for the amount of, the amount of snow or lack thereof, or the temperatures that would have been north of zero or
that range. Man, because when you were, now again, was it earlier this week? Because I've lost track
of time. When we walked out of the studio that day, retro, it felt like it was 15 degrees out.
It felt like a beautiful story. It did. It really did. It was awesome. So keep it up weather.
It'll all come to an end. Is it, uh, the nino? Is that why we're enjoying this?
I've got a tweet from 21 minutes ago from my favorite Calgary weather Twitter account,
Calgary weather records. The streak of 29 consecutive November days with a maximum temperature above zero came to an end yesterday.
Sixth longest streak of all time. So we didn't quite make it all month. But there again.
29 days out of 30, you got above zero. That's wild. Now you go outside with just like a zip up fleece on or something. And it's a Jesus. Oh, gosh, it's getting cold. Yeah, it's December. Stupid. Like, what do you?
Been pampered. Been pampered. Been pampered.
Camper.
Getting softing.
Yeah, getting soft.
What do you know what?
Want to do right now give a little bit of, hey, how you doing to our friends at Tourism
Jasper?
Tourism Jasper back on board.
They joined us last year and they're back again.
We were up at the beautiful Jasper Mountain Launch.
Park Lodge.
Had the outdoor, the outdoor hockey, the pond hockey tournament.
We had food and beverage.
galore up there.
Beautiful spot. So thank you, Jasper.
Welcome back. And we invite
everybody to either join us for the pond hockey
because I believe that's happening again.
But just get that into your
into your headspace. Why wouldn't you go
and take that nice little trek, beautiful
drive up to Jasper and enjoy yourself
some mountain time. It's a difference
of Winter Wonderland team. There you go.
Fair enough. Yeah. It's a different
kind of a feel than what we're used to
at this part. Nothing against. Okay, we love Ban.
Banff.
But Jasper equally as beautiful.
So welcome to our friends at Tourism, Jasper.
And I want to say a cootie hardos to our friends out at Origin brewing.

I'm happier than yesterday. So that's good. What's that? Nothing. Nothing's changed.
It's all the same. I'm misreading. It's all the same. It's all the same forever the same.
Steady as she goes. Steady, steady, steady. Time for the Pinder report, a presentation of Village
Honda. It is, it's the used car season. I don't know if you know that. Once you flip the calendar,
pre-owned.
Pre-owned in the holidays, it's the way I do it.
Every December, we put the tree up, lights, decorations, hang the wreaths.
Head up to Village Honda, grab a nice pre-owned pilot or a Honda accord.
This makes me all toasty inside.
Over 70 units on site, access to more than 400 more inside the dealership group make Village Honda.
Your one-stop automotive destination in Calgary.
Worth the trip.
Your dealership for life.
Village Honda presents the Pinder Report.
Boys, the season finale of the season series between the stars and flames already.
End of November and the third meeting between these two clubs.
Second in just a few days.
Let's go to Afterburner for reaction of another scintillating overtime win for the flames.
Nazim Cadri, the overtime goal.
It has been quite a reversal of fortune from Nazim Cadry.
Maybe it's too easy to point to Connor's area and Martin Pospisal.
There was just kind of new life injected into Nazim Cadry.
even if you were totally done with him after last year and you don't like the term and you don't like
the cap hit you can't be too upset with the results he has been i think the player that true living
thought he was getting when he signed him and whether you love him or you hate him like the one
thing that is so consistent with them is that he rides and dies for himself and like around the time of
the heritage classic like it was kind of driving us nuts because like the flames were not playing great
the points were not coming and we were like expecting him to like come out and take accountability or not
really getting the results and he's like the play is there the points just aren't coming yet and
he was so adamant about that it was driving us nuts and then all of a sudden like yeah he didn't
really change too much and the points are coming now that's good point it just it's all of a sudden
clicked and i think it's not coincidence we've all seen the the moment it was zary and pospousal
you said it last night on after bernardine with cammy like that's their top line number of how you
want. That's their best line right now. It is. Yeah. And I,
you're winning. They're playing well. You're not changing that
anytime soon. Just keep rolling them out there. And
yes. Oh, see, there it is. That's last night. That's a season
series, boys. It's an alpha of Dallas. The Dallas
vermin. It's a good chin on that kid. It's a hell of a pop. I mean,
it really is. Chin. It's quite impressive. Yeah.
golf shirt guy is uh he's got a good right yeah yeah here's a look at the gauntlet run fellas
they've done well in this really tough stretch now if you look at the bottom three and one
geez you know can i can i interrupt win win can i interrupt you right now i know what you're
going to say okay you go you're going to guess what he's going to say now i know what he's going to
say you got to guess i'm going to write it down okay yep
So listen,
hurry up, Dean, you got it?
He's writing K.
This is beautiful by Bob.
Bobby Germany.
Bobby Germany, this is a wonderful thing.
But I can't tell where the winds are.
I know it's 3-1 and 0,
but you got to change the colors of the victories and the losses.
So what we're doing.
Talked about it with Jack today.
Okay.
We have big green check marks over the winds
so that when we come back on Monday.
Bad boards.
Bad boards.
Oh, you don't like the board.
You don't like the graphic.
Well, I like it.
But once the games are played, there has to be something beside those games to differentiate.
I didn't want to say anything because people are putting in hard, they're working hard and they're doing stuff.
But I care less about.
We can do this.
It's going to happen.
Jack.
I agree.
Because we asked for a board and then somebody put some work into it, obviously, because it looks great.
But it is aside from the three and one at the.
bottom, which I almost don't even notice because I'm busy
trying to decipher the rest of it.
It's happening. We've had the conversation. There's a note.
We had the board yesterday and there was no complaint.
Because I didn't want to, you didn't want to know that I didn't say anything.
I said, it wasn't complaints. I was a, it's like a, it's the old shit sandwich.
Yeah.
You start with something nice and then you give them the turd and then you give them something nice.
Great, great.
Much better than the CFL.
Now today, we can improve.
And tomorrow.
Pardon me, Monday, I expect things to be great again.
There you go. Love it.
Would you like some checkmark Monday, too?
Would you like some breaking news, Ryan?
Please, yeah.
Ryan Leslie, of course, sports net,
he has video this morning of Oliver Shillington back on the ice
at Max Bell Arena today.
And I'm just watching the video if it's,
I'm not sure if it's with his teammates here or not,
but either way, Oliver Shillington in Calgary and where it is.
He's back at the team practice.
So.
Well, he's been in the city.
He hasn't been gone.
I know people have seen him and he's doing whatever he has to do to try to get to a place
where can play hockey again.
And we don't know much beyond that team, but it's great to see him skating.
For sure.
Good to see.
Some ice available on that note.
And you know what?
I know Brian Pike actually put it.
There's a difference between eligible to return and returning soon.
He is eligible to return, being that he's on LTIR.
That doesn't necessarily mean he's returning soon.
We don't know.
Skating is different than playing a game for the team.
And we saw that all summer, right?
I hope it works for everyone.
I hope it works for everyone.
Okay.
All right. Solov recalled this morning, no surprise there.
Zadorov out, you need another D.
The first seventh rounder of the 2020 draft to play in the NHL.
Back up.
Like him in a small sample.
You keep that number or is that a training camp number, Rhett?
What do you do?
You own it or you shed it?
I don't know.
Sometimes you've got to be proud of what you're given.
I think maybe I'd just stick with it.
I mean, unless if you have an emotional attachment to some other number, great.
If you're just changing for the sake of changing, stick with it.
Yeah, and you know what?
Seventh rounder,
Underdog Story, I like the 98th.
Keep that number.
Not a boy solo.
Not a boy solo.
And Conroy kind of alluded to that in the press release.
So could we call him Dixie or red?
Solo Cup.
Yeah.
Solo's lame.
Red.
Red solo cup.
Do you go back to the pitcher?
Dixie.
Dixie, I don't know about Dixie.
because it's a Dixie Cup,
not a Dixie Solo,
but Solo Cup.
But they're the same thing.
What about Hans?
Ons is too on the nose.
Too much, yeah.
Yeah.
And Red Solo Cup isn't on the nose.
That's why I said Dixie.
Can he dye his air for us?
I would really,
red could really fly for me if he was a little more.
Maybe a strawberry blonde.
It looks like there's maybe a tinge red in there.
Maybe.
I think we just need to want it to be red.
red and it will be.
I'll do a big red.
Clifford, big red dog?
Clifford.
Is he big?
How tall is he?
Oh, he big.
Is he a big cat?
So now we're spinning off of the red,
which we've spun off of the solo cup.
It's a lot, Dean.
It was kind of like the,
it was kind of like the Jackie bear.
It was a few layers removed.
Don't try to explain that one either.
It just doesn't.
Eggs.
Eggs, yeah.
Eggs is pretty on the nose, but yeah.
Okay.
What else have we got?
Well, I think it's great.
The solo?
Big red.
Big red.
Yeah.
So kiss a little longer.
Stay close a little longer.
Hold tired a little longer.
Longer with big red.
That big red freshness last right through it.
Your fresh breath goes on and on while you chew it.
Say goodbye a little longer.
Make it last a little longer.
Something, something.
Lasting freshness with big red.
We got a nickname, boys.
He's now Big Red.
Big Red.
Big Red.
We lost Big Cat and Big Red.
Big Red.
Big Red.
6.3, 2.10.
He is Big Red.
6.3.2.
That's a freaking monster.
Third pair.
Bell Russian.
A little smaller.
A little less Russian.
Still very Russian.
Still very large.
Tell me.
That no one has called you Big Red before?
He's a big red now.
Do you want to guess what colors on the Bell Russian flag?
Red. Okay, we'll move. Trade yesterday. Lots of thoughts about Nikita Zedorov out to Vancouver.
Yes, a third and a fifth, a third in three drafts and the early fifth in this year's draft.
Vancouver Canucks, love the deal for them. Don't see how this one goes wrong. He's a UFA. It's a rental price.
They have Carson Sousie out with injury and he will help them in an area of need.
For what I think is pretty reasonable price. Here is something interesting that was thrown up by one
our pals on the old Twitter machine.
Third pair guys don't fetch a lot.
And there was hope you could get a lot for Zadora.
But he absolutely wasn't the top four here.
There's some of the other swaps who've seen for third pair type guys.
This is from Bobby Germany.
Speaking of our boy with the board.
Ethan Bear, fifth.
Luke Shen, third.
Shane Gostis Bear, third.
Joel Edmondson, a third and a seven.
It was a surprising return.
it's not a lot.
Remember the Shen hype train was pretty big last year.
And it was the Flames whose name was in the mix for a while there.
And you were kind of like, Dean, I don't know, like a second or outer.
Boy, that's steep for Shen.
It ended being a third.
Only difference here is that this is a very late third pick, like three years away.
But there's also a fifth, Ryan.
Yes, there is.
Yes.
I mean, what it does is this may do nothing.
If you don't like the trade, this probably will not satisfy.
by you, but at least it gives a bit of context
that it's not completely out of whack from what
we see. Yeah. Yeah. And again,
anyone that thinks this is highway robbery
or a slam dunk absolute win,
like, no, this is, I think,
right in the neighborhood of what you thought, but
probably a little lighter than what you'd hoped for. Is that
fair? Juicy fruit
is gonna move ya.
This is soft. It gets right through
you. The taste, the taste,
the taste is going to move, yeah.
Freaking bubble gum jingles back in the
Bad man.
Bangers.
Straight bangers.
What was doublement?
Doubment gum.
Double your fun.
Doublement gum.
Doublement.
Because then it was because you had the twins.
Everything was like two.
Oh yeah.
Just because you didn't see it, Warner.
You frigate introvert.
Introvert.
I got to look at them.
Yeah, yeah, you are.
Are we missing any others?
Because there was like juicy fruit was a banger.
Big red we just showed is near and dear to our hearts,
even though I don't really like the gum.
It doesn't last long.
Big Reds for about eight seconds, I think.
Doublement, double and gun.
Something.
Shit.
Well, big game coming up to Mora, fellows.
It is the much anticipated return.
Montage time forever aflame.
Nikita Zedorov.
50-some hours from the trade is back in Calgary.
It is all weird.
I love it.
Love it.
No montage.
Oh, really?
no. In the boomocracy, there's no montage.
Rett? I don't know. Do you montage that guy? I would, I don't give a shit about no montage,
but if I'm the flame player, I'd keep my head up. Yeah. Well, and if you're Dennis Gilbert,
are you giving a little go? He's bigger, but he don't know how to fight. Like, that's the thing.
I don't know if you could throw. What are you gaining if you're Gilbert by doing that?
Gilbert's like, I'm going to play every friggin' night. I'm not breaking my hand.
Yeah. It's my chance to be a star. Well, if he runs someone, sure, Gibby. No, you know,
what you do is you go and you stick them or you're something major injury it's like there how's
that trade now are you like that return hey done for the rest of the year huh oh big winners big win
Vancouver well stop just quit getting ahead of yourselves we've dropped the ball what do we miss
gilbert what kind of nickname is that oh god yeah denny what are we going to do there buffalo
Gilbert Grape
Gilbert
Godfrey
Dennis
Went to
I think he went to Notre Dame
Rudy
He is a menace
But that's two on the nose
Rudy
We're gonna have to workshop this
Dean can you take a notepad with you
When you're gone
Just work on some of the stuff
DG
DG
Rudy
Went to Notre Dame
I understand
I don't love it immediately
I'm but I
It's not big red
No
That's a winner
I'm going to keep that one for sure.
It's okay.
All right.
We'll work on it.
We'll workshop it for sure.
You're right.
Standings, let's take a look, see where the flames are at.
It has been, well, quite a run, as you noted in November 8, 4 and 2.
And there they are at 500 after a 2, 7 and 1 start.
Wow.
Are there any other famous Gilberts?
Like Gilbert, like you said, Godfried comes to mind immediately.
Gilbert Arenas?
Gilbert.
Rod.
A bud!
That was so good.
The principal?
Because that was Gilbert and
Problem Child.
Yeah, see, I'm not that familiar.
No punishment.
Yeah, I don't have time for this today.
Let's go.
We're going to keep moving.
First round pick, update.
Sam Hanzek, healthy, ready to return,
and rostered by Slovakia for the World Juniors.
Get ready for some Hansek World Juniors talk
because probably the only flame in the whole tournament prospect.
It's not good.
So hot right now.
Big Hans.
Hans. Hans.
We've got time to workshop that one.
We got two years to work on that one.
Hansel.
Hansel?
Hansel.
Tonight, light, slight.
Anyway, go ahead.
Only two games.
Little dumpy.
And what a couple of bangers they are.
Well, it's the Elvis Merse-Mers-Lick.
Revenge game.
Or nope, it's the Eunice Corpusala revenge game.
There we go.
Close, Ryan.
Almost had it.
Yeah.
And I'm sure it's, yeah.
If you wouldn't have corrected yourself, no one else was going to.
We were not catching on.
It certainly is the sharks playing in NHL team.
By you, Ryan, yes.
So there's at least one NHL team in that sharks game.
Very good.
Have you guys been seeing what's going on?
We might get Shohei Otani news today.
The greatest baseball player, maybe of our lives or ever, is a free agent.
anyone can sign him. Here are your odds. Now, this is stunning. We know the Dodgers are favored.
Minus 150. Look who's the second most favored team to get them, fellas. This isn't some Toronto.
We work for the network that owns the team stuff. This is a sports book, a large one. That way does not have it.
I looked on Betway for the Shoah odds. Did not see them. But other books have the Blue Jays as the second most likely destination for Otani to lend. Now, there's no two Otani.
There's only one. He will go to one place.
Dodgers, Toronto, Cubs, apparently,
the three that are most realistic at this point
and a decision could come as soon as today.
They're pitching his agency in LA.
Whoa!
You'd get a jersey, Red.
I would get a jersey and I'd get you.
I was a jersey as well.
Can we hold them to that, Dean?
You get no Tony?
You don't need to get me a jersey.
You don't want no Tony?
All right, fine.
Aren't the Yankees spending money?
You can get Ryan, too.
A home and away.
Yeah, that's right.
You need the baby blues.
and the old traditional gray.
Yeah.
Are you Ang the greatest baseball player ever?
No, not him.
It's just the,
it's the blue jays.
How are the Yankees?
The Adkins Shapiro thing.
Yeah.
And they gunned your buddy.
Yeah, that's not their decision.
That's the idiots that sent us a letter.
That's the word.
I would say,
how this could even possibly make sense
because you're right, it's Toronto.
It doesn't feel like this happens.
Now they have got some top of market guys
the last few years.
You look at Ryu wasn't top top, top at high end.
Springer absolutely was top of market.
Gosman was a huge free agent signing.
So it's not like they haven't spent.
They're now into that top 5, 10,
but why would it make sense?
While you got two years left to Bichette and Guerrero.
That's that.
So maybe it's huge dough with an option for Otani after two years.
Would that make sense?
Then he can reenter the market.
If those guys aren't there,
he stays if they are good.
It's just weird to see them there.
I don't think you would have had Toronto second, fellas.
I just don't know who's determining those odds.
Like, who's handicapping that?
People smarter than you or I, Dean.
That's the whole point.
But what are they...
But listen, what are they using to come to that equation?
Are they talking to the front office?
They have to essentially just be kind of like perusing
the media landscape.
What else is there?
Unless they are talking to Otani's agent.
I would imagine that they have, again, they're smarter than us and they think they've been in this business.
And they have more insight.
They're thinking about things that we don't even consider.
They're handicapping a potential event.
It's what they do.
Now, you're right.
It's what kind of info do you have.
You see how this is different though, right?
Yeah.
I know you guys are going to come at me over this.
but this is not, you can't go back and look at Shohei Otani's last five free agent signings
and see what his tendencies are.
I just don't know how you handicap Toronto over this team or whatever.
Unless you talk to the player and you know what he's coveting in a potential landing spot.
Yeah.
And I think if you reading the tweets of a lot of these insiders that the list is cubs, the Js,
and the Dodgers that are left.
Right.
So that's what I'm saying.
That's where they're using this info.
Are they?
The insiders that know the people that at the agency, at the teams, the front offices, the player, wherever insiders get their info,
of course sportsbooks are all over that.
Oh, he's got a cousin and an old friend of mine that is a pitcher in Regina.
Old Gord.
Gord, Otani.
Go tany, they call it.
He used to fill water bottles for us with the blades.
Probes.
He played with old Shohei over in Japan, so they talked to my boy.
Probstanty.
well he could coach you went to the same
baseball school so obviously
that's right pretty much a slime dunk guys I don't know
what you've been reading it's called Lauren Malkin hell no
let's move to the NFL
there's a god gourd couldn't hit
like show hey though not my candy
yeah he was maybe a better pitcher
but it just couldn't hit to save his life
he's fucking gourd
the DAC attack was good last night
retro the DAC attack was very good
not as good as Gino Smith
because I had Gino as well on my bench
Yes, you did.
Gino had more fantasy points than DAC last night.
Like, how?
And on a day where I pimped the Cowboys to cover the spread in primetime unders, we had
neither friends.
I know.
That just felt like one of those games, right, where Seattle's life is on the line.
Dallas has just been crushing teams.
They led midway through the third quarter by what?
It was like, oh, boy, what's going on here?
Let's get some DAC in our life.
Should we?
Yeah.
What?
As a sudden now, you're in the MVP conversation.
There's people saying that you're playing the position better than anybody across the lead.
Aaron Rogers is saying what he's saying about how you're playing the position.
I'm wondering what the last year has been like for you psychologically.
I know you try and block a lot of it out, but I got to imagine it will be some of it seeps through.
What is it like now to be in this spot and have on some level silenced a lot of people?
No difference when they're hating me.
and calling for me to my position, honestly.
I'm blessed.
I'm super blessed.
And, you know, I think about that each and every day that I wake up.
I'm grateful for that opportunity to do that.
And I go and tack the day that I understand nobody's opinion defines me.
And that that's the great part about life and that's the great opportunity that we all have,
that people can say whatever they want.
But, you know, I have the pen, I have the paper, and I'm the one writing.
So because I'm playing as well as I am now, doesn't mean that I'm going to stop.
doesn't mean I'm going to listen to them now.
Appreciate them, but I don't care about their opinions right now
anymore than I did when they said that, you know,
when they're calling for my spot.
So as I said, I'm blessed.
This last year has been a reflection of that.
A lot of great things have happened in my life
and they're going to continue to happen in my life
because of my mindset and where I put the value of life.
And that's good jacket.
Some good quotes.
I didn't hear what he said, but that jacket is deadly.
He's blessed.
Well, and blessed is blessed, is
what he is. Would you be considered blessed if you had a four year $160 million deal?
Now, what is, did he, again, did he get married or get engaged or have a kid or what's the
story there? Because he's messing with his mojo. That jacket's all the mojo he needs. Are you kidding me?
Look at this. 20 touchdowns. Is that like some kind of shark skin?
Whatever he wants, really. I mean, is that some seal skin? Look at that thing. The man had a $66 million.
signing bonus. It can be made of
planetary rocks from another solar system.
I don't know. Beautiful. Next time I go
to origin. God, that's a good one.
That's a great coat. Can we get three of those
made? Don't buy us a tonny. Yeah, don't need the
Otani. Give me one of those things.
Hell yeah. God damn.
I was blue too. Looks good.
Orcas. Some orca skin jackets
strutting around
the three of us. Hey, how are you guys
doing? Yeah, that's right.
We got a podcast.
You're bragging about your old man wanting to get some turkey from Greg at Bontan.
Now, I think the reason he wants it is he had a bit of a mishap with the turkey he already had.
So he needs a reload.
This has got to be some sort of a nephew or cousin or something.
Let's have a look at your dad's place here.
Be careful, please.
It's not going well.
And I light it up.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, my God, the fire!
You fucking know!
How we die, one-on-one.
Propane tank still there?
Yeah, throw the propane tank on it.
That'll put it out.
Put it out.
Yeah.
So anyway, that's why your dad is all wound up.
He does screw it up, him and Stu, get into the drinks and it goes sideways.
It's, this is.
Like your mom singing.
She was banging it up.
I do like the, you've got about two or three people who are really panicked.
Like, call 911.
And the girl taking the video, she's like, this is going to be great for my TikTok.
Light it up.
I got some great content for my socials.
You got burned a fucking house down.
This is how we die 101.
He-he.
We're missing this, fellas.
It's not sledding season here.
I wouldn't say I'm missing it.
Well, you're missing this.
This is what could have happened.
This could be us.
Oh, that was poison.
I know just from that little bit.
You could keep it.
Just turn down a lot.
Look at this.
A technique.
You got it. No, you're good.
No, no, you're not.
No.
That's called the old face break.
That's not a technique that is encouraged when we do our sledding.
You ever use the face break?
I have it.
I frown upon it.
That's going to hurt, too.
You do it once, and that's enough.
It'd be very red and irritated.
You know what?
It's going to leave a mark.
Tannib would pop right up.
Yeah, Tamp would be fine.
would yeah yeah not worried about 10 of there other people not great uh finally i don't know
if uh you guys saw in the chat today we have an ozzy brad oh bradley i wonder what it's about
boom boom pinned up retro right out boys back in the man cave now just having to listen to you
fellas talking about this little fucking deer we got going on behind parking people's back and
And then you go and you've fucking got this beautiful beer with all these fucking nice
alcoholic companies.
And you fucking think you want to expand?
Now I've got a cunt for the job.
Got an idea.
The squeeze is going to have to deal with this.
I know it's going to be a bit of a burden for it.
But fucking just because I love you cunts, I'm fucking offering this.
I will expand down in the Australian region.
I think that fucking I could push a fair bit of piss through this fucking region for you.
Blonde fucking barn burner.
Origin brewing. Fucking sounds good boys. Now the only thing I need, I've got to fucking get a case
Maybe 10 cases sent down here. If you can send me 10 cases
I'll fucking see if I like it. I'm sure it's gonna be fucking delicious
But I've just got a taste test at least 10 cases. So you fucking see me 10 cases, maybe some crown royal
I'll fucking maybe sign on. I'll be your distributor down here. We'll fucking push it all the
fucking suburbs. We'll get up to the northern territory. We'll fucking hit Queensland
We'll fucking take the straighter over.
One fucking stubby at a time.
All cans at a time, boys.
Fucking get on it.
You can fucking punch a boot.
Fucking go Oregon.
Fucking right, Ozzy, Brad.
That's right.
Yeah, we got our first Ozzy sales guy.
That's a delivery.
Distribution, man.
We're in a national, buddy.
That's got all the feel of a cartel deal gone wrong and said, where's our distributor?
I haven't seen him in a couple days.
Has he been coming in with the monthly tape?
like what's going on here hang on though i got his address like we'll go on a mission and we just empties
what's going on empties and where is this our beer where's saucy bread yeah good news is we have
fullies not empties we have follies in calgary it has arrived you talked about it and our boy man
deep at bk beaufort liquor would you look at this it has arrived get your ass to bk beaufort liquor
And hey, you know what?
If you want a, if you want a, if you want a liquor store and you want to get your establishment
shown on the old barn burner here, show us the display.
That's all you got to do.
Just show us, hey, tweet us, send us the message.
Show us the barn burner blonde or the origin brewing display.
We'll bring it on the show.
So what we're going to do next week, anyone that has a pitcher with the blonde,

Whatever you want to do. We'll get it on the show.
You work in a pub or a restaurant. You got Origin on tap?
Send us a picture of the tap.
Hell yeah.
Get you on the show.
Love it. So if Ozzie Brad's in on the other side of the world, there's no excuse for the rest of us, fellas.
We have got to be drinking this stuff.
That's right.
Guys in friggin Melbourne.
Melbourne?
You're in Okotococin' kick?
Yes, you can.
Excuse. That's a shitty excuse.
That's it.
I'm doing on Friday.
Hawaiian shirt day.
There it is.
Look at this.
JD.
By the way, JD.
Yes.
First timer at BK.
He's nervous.
Don't you worry.
There's a good-looking cashier that'll use your nerves.
All you got to do is get a picture with the cashier.
Put it on the show.
You know?
Oh, there it goes.
You know what?
This time of year, it's December now.
It's the holiday season.
You know what I always like to do every year?
Slide by Village Honda and grab a brand new vehicle.
Just that new.
That new car smell.
Makes me all toasty inside.
New in-stock inventory on the ground.
Start your automotive adventures at Village Honda.
New vehicle pricing is MSRP, your dealership for life, Village Honda.
Now, Pinder, you sent a note.
And I don't know how you got this info.
And I'm not questioning it.
I'm not saying that you're accurate, that I'm checking on your accuracy.
or anything. But you said that the Barnburner vacation is we're getting down to the,
what did you call it, the short and curleys? Boys, this thing continues to move to the point where
I'm worried people wanting to go won't be able to go if they don't hustle. We're into the last
few trips available. Get on it. We have literally, they've been selling in chunks. And I think that's
what it is. This guys have been, you know what we should do. We should go on this trip in January.
And it's like, are you ready to book?
I'm ready to book.
Okay, let's go book.
And then bam, six are gone or whatever.
Fellas, don't dilly dally here, all right?
If you want to go on this thing, you'd best get on it.
This won't last till Christmas.
I can tell you that right now.
This will be a sellout before Christmas hits.
So if you're thinking it's a gift or if you're thinking you want to go,
it is time is of the essence.
We are going down to Phoenix.
early January, just over a month, fellas.
The Barnberry vacation. Phoenix, Arizona.
We've got your flights. We got your hotels. We got your game tickets.
We're going to go and see the Flames and Coyotes at the Mullet Arena.
And if the flames don't muck it up here, it could be an important game.
Looks like one right now in the stands right next to each other.
Holy Dina.
Didn't see that coming, did we?
Nope. Did not see that.
Like, yeah, the game might not matter, but it's still Phoenix in January.
Well, guess what? The game may matter. And it is.
still Phoenix rather than Caldron.
And by then you've got such family fatigue.
Oh yeah, God, please.
Your wife is driving you crazy.
The kids are just, you know, all the,
you've maybe got all of your in-laws and family out of your house by then.
Maybe.
Just, just.
And you're like, get me the H out of here.
Done.
Done.

Get that.
Very good.
Nationgear.com.
And if you book, if you, if you've got the confirmation that, the email or whatever that comes when you book,
yeah, we'll put it on the show.
Oh, all right.
Do a screen grab, take a phone.
If you want to send us a picture of your credit card and the expiry date and your mother's maiden name, we'll put it on the show.
And then flip it over with that, you know, the little code on the back.
We'll put it on the show.
Maybe not then.
Football gentlemen.
Lots of buys this week.
Fantasy football is a crucial week.
Red, how are you doing?
I know this is a, it's got to be a win and you're in for the playoffs.
He's looking good.
No, my Dallas D, which is getting me 10.
They got shit pumped, didn't they?
They got pumped.
Caust me a point.
And I got guys out.
I'm in tough.
You're a third,
wretch.
You're being hard on yourself.
You're eight and four.
You're in great shape.
You don't have to win this.
But if you do,
for sure,
you're punching your ticket.
That's a good year for you,
man.
It might be your year.
10 point retro.
It's a year.
And Dino,
you're in second,
and you've already got a 15 spot up.
Who'd you have last night?
My kicker.
Come on.
How good does that feel?
Pretty good.
Fifteen in the holster for
somebody Aubrey wow well done fellas
repping the show nicely now jack i think you're right in the mix
for one of the last playoff spots what are you playing for here you are you alive still
yeah i'm six and six i think i have to win probably
you got healthy but then you got hurt again because taylor's out and i don't know what's
going on with cooper cup it's true cooper
he is projected to beat uh patrick
good for you son wow well good luck jack
good luck buddy and how about
what you pender what's you i'm playing for fuck all okay sorry not a good year i'm gonna miss the playoffs i think
for the second time ever in this league i'm not happy about it uh not good not good uh not good well
anyway we're that's the thing i was this football season's kind of winding down dude it's it's
don't take this for granted now nothing goes faster right it just it feels like nothing
goes faster than the NFL season.
Take it for granted.
Yeah. Fucking take it for granted.
So if you pals,
every year I say, I'm not going to do it.
You know, then, you know, week two,
week three, it's like there's so much season left.
Just fucking take it for granted.
Let's do our betway bets.
Yeah, okay.
Point spread picks.
Get the Betway up in your phone.
Bet the responsible way in Ontario.
You've been 19 or over.
I'm watching you.
You, fuck.
Bet the responsible way with Betway.
Get it on your phone.
Get it on your desktop.
Get it wherever, you know, just just get it.
Get on your table.
Do it.
18 and 15, I'm finally, my head's above water.
I'm going to keep it there.
We're going to keep it there.
Arizona at Pittsburgh.
I'm sorry, Jack, but this is way too much love for the Steelers.
They scored 16 points last week.
16.
Arizona is getting five and a half.
I'm taking the five and a half.
Detroit at Norlands.
Chris Olavé is concussed.
Michael Thomas is out.
Rashid Shahid is out.
Questionable.
And I know Detroit got kind of lit up by Green Bay on Thanksgiving,
but they are better.
And I think that this is a tidy little number.
Detroit on the road minus four.
Give me the lions.
And the Washington commanders are dog shit.
They cannot stop the pass and they cannot stop the run.
And Miami is really good at both.
You've been riding Miami here, Dean.
They've been good to you.
Minus nine and a half.
Don't worry about it.
Is it a big number?
It should be double digits easy.
Don't worry about it.
Lay the number.
Miami covers nine and a half.
Those are my picks.
Nice record, Dean.
18 and 15.
Okay.
We can't abandon it.
We've been on a really nice run here since we went full opposite George.
So we have to trust the process.
I really like Arizona plus five and a half.
Pittsburgh has a tough time getting 10 points.
never mind laying five and a half.
So I have to take Pittsburgh minus five and a half.
Washington, nine and a half.
That's a lot of points.
Don't mind that.
That means I have to take Miami minus nine and a half.
And finally, Cincinnati at Jacksonville,
they're getting eight and a half,
and they still have some very nice parts.
Really like Cincinnati here,
which is why I'm going to take Jacksonville and lay eight and a half.
I've got three considerably large favorites on my board.
I'm scared.
but if it's against my gut,
it's probably right.
Look at that almost 500 here.
Boomer, you're going to go to bed Sunday night,
regretting that pick.
Okay.
This is the Steelers week.
Oh, geez.
This is where everything comes together,
400 yards of offense last week.
The Cardinals are dog show.
What are the Rams put up?
Like 30-something points on them.
Everything will click this week.
This is the week.
Pittsburgh 5.5 is a joke.
They're going to win by two or three touchdowns.
Let's go.
He's in again.
He's it.
Sam Fran and Philly.
This was a weird game.
I thought Sam Fran would have been dogs on the row,
but they're three-point favorites here.
I still like them going to Philly.
Philly's kind of been scraping by.
I think Sam Fran's probably the best team in the league.
Give me them three-point favorite here.
And then Cleveland and L.A. Rams.
I think Joe Flacco's playing for Cleveland this weekend.
Yeah, geez.
So give me the Rams at home.
Mine is three and a half.
Like I said, they looked really good last week against the Cardinals.
Kairn Williams came back,
200 yards, two touchdowns.
They're right in the thick of it, so give me their ramps.
Dean's not happy with you.
No, it's full.
I just, I admire Jack's on again, off again, love of the Steelers.
Or at least his love to support the Steelers in our picks.
It's hot and cold.
It's quite something.
Yeah, it's really good.
This has to be the week.
How many times have you quit the Steelers this year?
Twice.
Yeah, I was going to say twice with the picks.
Maybe three.
Okay. Told mess, I wasn't going to do this.
All right.
What do you got,
Red?
Well, I'm going with teams
I've never picked before.
Look out.
The Chargers.
Ugh.
The Rams.
Okay.
And I went with one pick
that I actually thought about.
I can't have Miami winning
and the bills losing.
Right.
I just,
I can't cheer for the dolphins.
So I'll go with Washington.
And it is that logic.
Two teams I've never bet before
and a team
that I can't have win because of my team has him with the best record at 18 and 15.
Tide with you, Dino, that's nice.
Oh, man.
It's something.
I don't even knows the spreads.
He's just picking teams.
Didn't look at the spread at all.
The font was too small.
Yeah, it's got to get some goggles.
There you go.
You can put more effort into it if you would like, or you could do it like we do it.
It's all up to you with Betway.
Get the Betway app.
Play along.
In game.
just what's oh the game's already kick off I can't play no it's even better in game that line's
going to move up and down there's still stuff going on betway bet the responsible way with betway

Do you know what a Knickerbocker is? Yes. Watch your mouth.
You don't have to tell us, but you do know what it is. Oh, yeah. Okay. So you're not going to.
The Knickerbockers are in Toronto to face the raptors. It is the Nicarbocker sits on the old
blue and orange.
Mary King of the Bush is he.
Fly, Nickerbocker, fly, Nickerbocker,
fly, Nickerbocker King of the
Francee.
That's an Ozzy banger right there.
It sure is.
Cucabara.
They're facing the Raptors. That is a 530 tip-off.
Before that, it's somebody that used to play
somewhere is playing against his old team.
I'm pretty sure it's Eunice Corpus Solo.
Unless he doesn't start and then really what the hell are we doing here,
but it's Ottawa, it's Columbus. Get something that it puts you to sleep,
maybe. Maybe it's you go with the stew,
the heavier stuff, something that.
it'll knock you out on the couch.
It's not our best menu ever.
It's not your fault.
Thank you.
You tried your best.
It's not your fault.
Friday night football down here in the States.
That's right.
Yeah,
lots of high school,
college.
And once they announced a show hey thing,
that's going to take over everything anyway.
Are the aloettes playing?
You're still so hard.
Hey,
that is a jont de plume.
Hey,
that is,
uh,
dashed after the win is what we're telling you with DoorDash.
Again,
get that deal.
Nation, 25, first order, 15 or more, zero delivery fees, 25% off.
Now, do you go back to Buffalo from where you're at?
It doesn't look like it.
You've got a hotel room, but you were saying it was kind of a day trip.
I would, but we played an 8th this morning and 815 tomorrow morning, so I'm just going to stay.
Nice.
So.
I'll be right in.
Right there.
Are you shooting some content?
What's going on this?
He's got some parent meetings.
Yeah.
Jack.
Yeah.
I can smell the farts from here.
It's nothing like getting into a nice hotel bed and just starting to.
Just rough,
old junk.
Yeah.
So do you get a fumigate the place?
Yeah, yeah.
So do you play again today?
No.
One a day?
No, one on Friday.
So you have to miss school and get up early.
It makes zero sense.
It doesn't make any sense.
They don't care.
They really don't.
And is this, is this league, just league play?
No, we don't even, we're, it's not even a league.
It's just a extravations can travel to travel.
Yeah.
No, that word makes sense.
Hmm.
Do you guys take your private jet?
How do you guys get there?
Yeah.
Yeah.
The big, we brought the big jet this time because it's an hour away.
Well, you got the whole team, right?
So that's, uh, that's good.
I'll say this.
I'm happy to see Oliver Shillington on the ice.
I think we all are.
I really hope that works out.
I wonder, do you think this expedited the Zadoraop trade?
Don't know if those two things are related, Dean.
That would be called wild and baseless speculation.
Well, I know it is.
And that's what I'm doing.
It's, uh, it's very dangerous and careless and reckless speculation.
But look, what, 12 hours later?
15, 16 hours later, this guy's on the ice.
Dean, why do you hate Nikita Zadora?
I'd make that trade.
That's all I'm saying.
If you offered me right now, you could,
have one of the other. I know which way I'm going. Yeah, no one's going to fight you on that,
brother. Man, they should they had, uh, I think it was Robert Munich on the Flames Nation socials.
He put together a little montage of Flames stars highlights. Yeah. For that goal that he scored,
it was him and Anderson in the in the slot. I'm trying to remember who was on the,
on the other side, but it was like, tick, tack, tick to talk, ding, the zing. Welcome back,
Ollie. So once the, uh, the Western Conference final when they're playing Dallas, look for
Shillington. We'll put it on the show. This episode of Barnburner, sponsored by BetterHelp,

Dean's got, he's not done with me yet, unfortunately.
He's going to have to hang out with me
for upwards of three and a half hours tomorrow.
Oh, yeah, right.
But the good news is there'll be a bunch of other beauties
and our pal, Johnny from ATVs,
he's taking us to the game retro.
Oh, Johnny Winwick, great guy.
Love him.
Reaches out every day.
at least it seems like a couple times a season.
Hey, let's go.
We got to go do a thing.
So very happy to go and hang out with Johnny Winwick and some of the folks tomorrow night at the game.
Yeah.
I must have burned that bridge because I don't get any invites.
Well, he also knows you live in Buffalo.
You're not here.
It's not ready to fly you back for that.
Yeah.
I bet if you were here though, but you'd get lots of invites.
Never know.
You ever coming back?
Summers.
Just was there.
No, I mean, you've got a truck with about nine kilometers on it, a brand new vehicle, and a beautiful house that's sitting, it's just sitting there.
It's very sad, actually.
Doesn't bother me.
Where do you leave him?
Not soon enough.
He's ready.
I'm staying here forever.
No, you're not.
Never going to be leaving.
Go to look for sandworms.
If anyone deserves a good sandworm on the toe, it's you, all right?
We love you, boom.
Thanks for doing what you do.
Can't wait.
Have a great weekend, everybody.
Oh, Jesus.
That'll do it.
Battle it.
See you, buddies.
