All right, we are in it.
We are rolling here on a Friday.
Look at Red.
Clearly, not is it only Friday.
Friday is Hawaiian shirt day.
So, you know, if you want to, go ahead and wear a Hawaiian shirt and jeans.
There you go.
Look at this.
Look at this.
What a day to be alive.
What a day to be alive.
What a great day in Alberta.
It's a great day for Canada.
It's a great day for Alberta.
No question about it.
No question.
We don't waste any time today.
a busy day up in, I guess, is it the capital, provincial capital?
The cultural capital, yeah, what they call it.
We go up to Edmonton and catch up with TSN Hockey Insider and our buddy, Darren Dregor,
who is not wearing a Hawaiian shirt.
Thanks.
Good memo.
Even though.
I didn't get the memo.
I'm disappointed.
Call for a celebration, nonetheless.
Here we are.
We've seen this morning the last time we saw a sweep was, I mean, that's Detroit,
Red Wings, Washington Capitals, 90s type stuff.
We're not quite there, but your impressions on what you saw last night and what felt like a must win for the Oilers that didn't pan out.
Yeah, no, it was a 100% must win.
Florida's just too good.
You know, Florida is ready to win.
It's as basic and as simple as that.
And I just don't see, you know, look, it's not a great look for the league in general when you have a sweep in the Stanley Cup final.
I can appreciate that.
I wouldn't be surprised if Edmonton finds a way.
to muster a win and a split on home ice.
But I don't see much hope of the Oilers beating the Florida
Panthers four straight with four remaining.
It's just not going to happen.
And the biggest problem that Edmonton has right now is Sergey Barbowski.
I mean, they allowed him to establish his game in his presence in game one of this series.
And they've never been able to get that back.
And it's not that Stu Skinner has been bad because he hasn't been.
He gave up one lousy goal last night.
And this time of year, that can be the difference.
And then you look at the penalty kill of the Florida Panthers.
I mean, we keep looking at the power play of Edmonton and saying, well, how can this power play?
They're so great.
They're 0 for 10.
How can that be?
All right.
Let's give a little bit of credit to the penalty kill of the Florida Panthers.
I mean, they went through Tampa Bay, pretty good power play in Tampa Bay.
Came through the Eastern Conference final.
decent power play that the New York Rangers have.
So the confidence in the penalty kill with Florida Panthers has kind of taken over this series as well.
Is that based off of, I mean, I think it's a combination.
When I look at Florida and watch them on that penalty kill, they're smart.
I'm sure they've been coached that way and they've got a system they want to play and this and that.
But they're making the reeds where, yeah, don't chase, don't run out of position.
if they've got position, take away the past because we'll let the goalie.
And I think some of it comes from trusting your goalie that he's going to make the standard saves.
So you don't have to panic on any of that.
I just, is anyone else seeing how smart this Panthers lineup seems to be?
Really is smart, right?
And we look at the top end suspects, you know, bark up and his level of commitment and all that.
I actually have been as impressed or more impressed, the adjustments at the defense.
of the Panthers are making on that penalty kill.
You know, we've all seen Leon Drysidal from the one-timer spot in the circle.
Well, now all of a sudden, you know, you see the Florida Panthers as a series has evolved,
peel off and take that option away.
And look at Evan Bouchard.
I mean, I've never blocked a shot in my life.
This guy can't, he's struggling to get the puck through.
I mean, this guy shoots a puck at 95 miles an hour from that blue line.
and the penalty killers are standing in there and going,
okay, have at it, man.
You've got to get through us.
So their shin pads are taking a beating.
But again, it's just taking away an option.
And I tried to get Paul Maurice to bite on this in terms of, okay, well,
what sort of tactical adjustments did you make with that great power play, right?
He's like, Greg's.
Again, have a look at what we've gone through here, right?
And it's not like these other power play units are,
that much inferior to Connor McDavid and Leon Dreisov.
That's not the case.
And they've just developed a level of confidence that is unreal.
I just don't see how they're going to lose.
What's going on with Leon?
Like he's a guy that absolutely hammers the puck.
He had five shot attempts last night.
I don't know that he got one clean.
Like I just look at a guy.
I'm like, he can't be right because he's not shooting the puck.
And that guy hammers the puck as well as anyone.
Yeah, I'm with you.
I, there hasn't been a suspicion of injury.
I mean, this time of year, I mean, everybody.
everyone's from here, sure.
Something, right?
I honestly, I think that reality is just set in for Leon Dricentel
and maybe for McDavid.
The believe is there, and I'll give Leon credit for this.
Twice in three games, this man has dove on the sword,
where he said, I'm not talking about anybody else,
I'm just going to assess my game.
I haven't been good enough, right?
Well, that speaks to a maturity,
which tells us that they're getting closer to maybe where Florida is,
but they're not there yet.
So I think it's just the realization that unless they can turn Corey Perry into Nick Kiprios
and he absolutely steamrolls Sergey Barbowski in game four, they're not going to beat him.
It's not to a lack of effort or believe.
They just haven't been able to do it.
And I think that it's more of an issue of will now than it is the physicality or
the issues that Leon Drysaintle might be facing.
Yeah, reading just some of the stuff that was written last night and into the morning
as columnists and journalists try and find the descriptor for this Florida team.
It's like they're suffocating and they're not really, I guess they are suffocating,
but it's just it's a relentless attack that makes them suffocating.
When do you think suffocating, that's New Jersey Devils in the 90s, the Lamber.
It's LA.
Remember Guy Bouch, you know, the one.
The one four were pronger, we just sit and wait for them to forecheck and the lightning
wouldn't forecheck.
It's tenacious and relentless and it's exhausting for teams and credit to the Panthers.
We talked about it before.
How much stock do you put in the fact that this team, the Florida Panthers, they were there last year.
More and more based on what we're seeing.
They're not too high, not too low.
There's no poise about them, isn't there, Dean?
One line, four line, they have an identity.
and they just bring it.
It's static across the board.
The support is incredible, right?
Offensive, defensive support in all three zones.
You know, one guy gets beat or needs help.
There's another player there automatically.
Like it is, it's like clockwork with these guys.
And we've talked about this on the show,
maybe setting up the series before.
And it's just the lack of selfishness throughout that group.
And yeah, you can look.
look at Bennett and you can look at Barkoff and the stars up front. I look at Aaron
Eckblatt. That's who I look at. Aaron Eckblad for the majority of his career
was a point producer, right? He was an offensive defenseman. That's really what
what he was out there for. That's why he's making the money that he's making. At some point,
Paul Marys had to convince Aaron Eckblood. All right, well, we think that Brandon Montour is a better
option on the power play.
But we need you to buy into that.
And we need you to buy into more of a focus on being a shutdown defenseman.
And if you are able to do that, then there's a strong chance we're going to win.
I mean, that guy's hurt.
I mean, he's playing hurt.
We all saw him bend the ankle over, you know, early in the series.
He's played through it.
He's blocking shots.
You know, Fogel scores on the breakaway.
and what was it, a shift or two later,
Eckblatt puts them into the bench.
Just like, okay, just cool your jets here, dude.
You know, you scored a goal, but we're going to close on this
and we're going to deliver a message.
I just think that this team is so well built right now.
They're going to win.
They're just ready to win and they're going to win.
And now if I look into the crystal ball,
the structure and the makeup of this team,
they're so well managed, they're so well coached,
that even when you look at, okay, Sam Reinhardt's contract is coming up,
is he the priority? Is it Brandon Montour, who's the priority?
You can't keep them both.
I mean, Brandon Montour is going to be a $7.5 million defense.
So what's Reinhardt going to make?
So when you're as well-rounded and as committed as every player is,
doesn't that make the shopping a little bit easier if you're Bill Zito?
You maybe can't find the exact replica for Brandon Montau.
or if your priority is Sam Reinhart.
But the message to whoever you're courting in free agency is,
okay, here's why we think you're the fit.
Here's how we need you to play.
And if you're not interested in playing the way we play
and the structure that we play with,
then go to Team B, C, or D on your free agent list.
I mean, they're so well built.
Like, they could go on a cup run here.
They could be a team that could win back to back or more.
They really could.
The one thing that separates them for me than other teams is they don't have stupid money on their roster.
Every team, you're like, oh, there's 10 million bucks wasted.
These guys don't.
Like, it's all efficient.
If Bob's a stud and he has been and they've lightened his workload last year, so he's great this time of year.
Like all the guys, no one's making way too much money.
They don't have a darn old nurse contract.
They're not buying out James Neal.
They don't have a $5 million goalie in the age show.
Yeah.
To that point, we talked about it yesterday, just the work that Bill Zito's done there.
You find Foresling on waivers, the Montour thing.
They got him for a third and then signed him to a, a,
friendly deal. You get Bennett for, you know, looking back, pennies in the dollar.
Yeah, the Kachukh.
Kevin Rodriguez, go down the list here.
Even Reinhardt.
Devin Levi in a first for Sam Reinhardt, who's 30, 30 and 57 goals or whatever it is.
Pretty, pretty tidy work there for Bill Zito.
I thought it was interesting, too, last night, Paul Maurice was talking about it.
And coaches will get a little, you know, your coaches, right?
But I believe it to be true.
And we sit here in Calgary and it's not to pick on the flames or anybody else,
but we talk about what's your identity?
what do you do the coach? What's the coach going to say? And Maurice basically said last
I haven't said much of this team all year. The room police is the room. Those guys,
they don't need to hear from me. I just go in and say hi once in a while. And I think it's probably
hyperbole. But I think there's probably something to that. Probably that room. And watching the way
they perform in the ice, they probably are very much a self-contained unit in there.
Yeah. And I mean, you guys know Matthew Kuchukuk very, very well. You look at how he's
kind of refined his approach. You know, like they were trying to. They were trying to,
to get under his skin.
Corey Perry was John with him last night.
He wanted no part of that.
He got under Corey Perry skin.
That's what happened there.
Yeah, I'm not going to be bothered with you.
I mean, he got into the little dust up with Brett Kulak and took a couple of shots to the side
of the head.
Okay, well, how do you respond?
You respond by Sam Reinhardt on the very next shift scoring on a beauty deflection.
And then Matthew, you know, forcing the turnover that led to the Bennett goal, right?
So they're just so well dialed in.
But to your point, Dean, and I think that this is just commonplace for Stanley Cup championship teams.
And I've heard this from other coaches where they just say, when you get to that place, really as a coach, you're just kicking the door open.
You know, when you're that committed and everybody is bought in, you're just, okay, next guy up next.
Look at the time on ice for a second here.
If you guys didn't, I checked it last night.
all the big money guys or the big minute guys for the ointers are what around 25 plus minutes i think i think
florida had two guys played 20 minutes yeah hyman was 24 bouchard 27 22 for new yeah it's all
22 23 plus yeah in florida's got two guys that played 20 minutes yeah and the rest are below that
it's it's you all right it's just like they have no choice they're chasing yeah yeah yeah
does this speak at all i mean obviously the team's been
It's been a long time since Florida was regarded as a really good organization, I think.
I mean, I don't want to be hard on them, but there was a while where it was not the best of spots.
It's kind of a joke, right?
Bad owner.
No one's showing up.
Nobody at the rank.
It wasn't a good scenario.
But anyway, so they go through the downtimes.
They get Ekblad, they get Barkhoff.
They end up with Reinhart.
They end up with Bennett.
They end up with Kachuk.
The point I'm getting at is they got to fast track it in a way because they picked up those guys for such good deals.
But does it speak again to you have to be bad to get good?
Right?
Kind of does it.
Yeah.
Is that one?
Yeah.
Bark of it two.
They still had some top five top, well, number one picks.
They had to pick high for a while.
Yeah.
And I mean, you know, making the the trade for Matthew Chuck, I mean, cut and bade on Jonathan,
Huberto. There's no way that Billy Zito and the Florida Panthers saw at, you know, when
Hubertow was in Florida, what we've seen from Jonathan Huberto in Calgary. He didn't, he didn't know
that was coming. Maybe he thought that he was more of a support player with Barkov than anything else,
but he didn't see that. So, you know, we got to give him credit because it is certainly worked out.
but I think that there is something to knowing when is the right time to act
and bring in the pieces that you need to bring in.
And a big part of that is coaching.
Hey, like I think of Bruno,
like Andrew Burnett deserved to get the head coaching job of the Florida Panthers.
Yeah.
He did.
He came in in an impossible situation with Q and everything that went down there.
Coached his ass off.
Absolutely did.
President's trophy.
Yeah.
Billy Zito went, I think we're close enough right now that I need more experience.
I need somebody who can sell it, not just to the players, who has a history of dealing with star
and guys and making sure that that group has synergy and stays intact, but also selling it to the
community and selling hockey in Florida.
And that was, that was Paul Maurice.
So I think it's a little bit of everything that has brought this group to a place where they're ready to win.
And does it become now one of those destination spots?
The good tax rates.
It already has been.
Chuck went there.
He showed it, right?
Yeah.
He was on the short list.
Yeah.
And look, I mean, not that, you know, he, Vladi Teresenko, you know, scored last night, obviously, a big goal.
You know, he's not the player that he once was.
He's in the back nine of his career here pretty obviously.
but he came out as soon as he arrived in Florida after the trade deadline and said,
well, there was only one team I was going to.
And I told Ottawa, you're trading me to Florida.
So just make that deal.
Same to close the room, right?
Yeah.
A little bit ago.
And, you know, this is more credit to Kevin Adams of the Buffalo Sabres.
He wanted to do right by Caloposo.
And so he took less than what it probably could have gotten, you know, for a Pozo.
So in terms of the type of player, he is the character and all of that,
there were lots of playoff worthy teams had an interest in Kyle Leposo.
I don't know.
He handpicked Florida because he wanted to give Kyle the best opportunity to win a Stanley Cup.
So I guess what I'm saying, I'm kind of supporting what you said,
right?
When you go through the growing pains and you slow build to a place to win,
well, that's what happens, right?
Then you get into that honey spot where players,
want to come and that it is a hundred percent a destination of choice it's not about the tax money that's
that's a fringe benefit of course it's cool everybody wants that as an unrestricted free agent but if you can
get your tax free money and you can win a stanley cop and maybe multiple Stanley cups that's that's
when you're in that sweet spot where players start to leave money on the table right yeah and that's
probably what Sam Ryanhart's looking at, eh?
100%. Yeah. It's, you know what? I think he's going to get his fair value. He is.
But he recognizes that the fit is as near perfect as you're going to get for a player and an
organization. He proved that in the regular season. He's been a good playoff performer. I mean,
I was happy for him, scored a beauty goal last night, a key goal after that dust up with
the Chuck and Kulak. But there's also danger when you go chasing the big box.
like Ryanard's made good money to this point in his career.
He's going to be treated fairly by Florida,
but he's not going to get as much as he would get if he went to free agents.
Yeah, he's seen the bottom dwelling basement team.
There's a guy that could put in perspective in the context of winning and not winning.
It's Sam Rana.
Yeah, yeah.
That's great.
Outhost a penthouse.
Big time.
We got about 60 seconds, retro.
We got to get things off.
I just for scared.
We're bragged up what the Panthers are and rightfully so.
I don't know who's beating them this year.
Obviously, it doesn't look like anyone.
But what's Edmonton now?
Like, are we seeing the holes that were maybe concerned,
or is it just circumstantial?
What's the take on Edmonton at this point?
Yeah, I mean, again, how can you not make the comparison
when you've got the final two teams a year
in the Stanley Cup final?
That's exactly what you're doing.
So you look at, you know, the production that they're getting from
Evan Rodriguez.
is.
And you're looking at, you know, some of the push from guys who are lower in their lineup.
And then, yeah, okay, Warren Fogel scored a nice goal.
It was a big goal.
The roof almost came off the building last night.
Ryan McLeod gets a real decent deflection.
But there was no urgency in the Oilers game to that point.
Adam Henrique has had his chances.
He hasn't been able to capitalize.
So I think that the Oilers are looking through their roster and going,
we just don't have the same level of commitment and the same level of compete from top
to bottom, right?
And how do you find that?
And then on top of that, you've got the goalie card.
I think they still see a very strong future in Stu Skinner.
I really do.
I don't think that there's, you know, any sort of crisis in the crease in,
in Edmonton.
But one of the main stories will be Edmonton getting outgoleed in the Stanley Cup final.
So, yeah, there'll be some questions.
And, you know, I'll put my insider hat on now as soon as that trolle.
if he gets hoisted. You know what we're talking about? Who's coming in to replace Kenny Holland?
And what's the management view? You know, who's going to be the architect of some of the changes
that we're going to see? And could it start with a Leon dry saddle? You know, what if dry saddle
on July 1st at some point in July as he's going into the final year of his deal says,
no, I'm not talking to contract. And he probably won't talk contract. I don't know. Yeah,
he's going to need time to decompress and all of those things. And but how do you,
how do you go into the season with dry-sidal kind of twist them?
Not him twisting in the win.
The organization twisting in the win is he just goes,
no, I'm just going to play with the string.
Everything will be fine.
You know,
it's a burn the boat season or you try to reload for Connor, right?
It's one of the two.
Exactly.
It's exactly right.
And who's going to do that?
There's lots of names that are being kind of speculated out there
in terms of replacing Paul Hunter or Kenny Hollins is Mark Hunter.
you know, it's Paul Coffey.
It won't be Jeff Jackson.
Is that correct?
It could be.
Yeah, it could be.
Is he president or whatever?
Yeah, there's a lot more rumblings around Mark Hunter,
but again, that's all just speculation that this.
Oh, hey, Jackson isn't going anywhere.
He's going to be heavily, heavily involved and, you know,
likely maintain his president's role.
But I do wonder about Paul Coffey.
You know, he's entrenched in, in Edmonton.
He's super tight with the owner.
He's super close with,
with Jeff Jackson.
So I'm fascinated by what hockey operations in Edmonton is going to look like next year.
We'll let you get out of here, the morning skates and all that will be happening.
But I saw you, because out at the moss pit outside, they had a whole bunch of people.
I saw you're out there.
One of the things they had set up for fans if they wanted to, they could pay.
I'm not sure how much you could probably tell us.
Shave your favorite numbers player or your in the back here.
Looking grid.
So how much were they, how much did that run?
guy drags.
I honestly, this is the first I'm seeing of this.
And I did see some sketchy stuff and not, uh, mosh pit.
I'm not going to lie.
Yeah, I bet.
Now, I wonder if is that Brian Boyle or who is that?
Yeah, I'm not sure who that is.
Because I saw him with NHL network in the pit as well.
We'll do some, uh, investigative research.
All right, buddy, enjoy game four.
And, uh, you know, maybe, maybe your last trip to Ed,
for a while.
That's be good.
Like it is.
Likely is.
There you go.
Hey,
follow.
Have a good one.
Have a great weekend.
There he is.
Darren Dregor, T.S.N.
Insider, our insider here on,
on Barnburner,
as it's,
I feel for these guys that are writing columns and having to do the insider stuff because,
yeah,
what do you say?
Not since L.A.
When L.A.
ran like hot knife through butter.
Yeah.
They, it's not close.
And it was a four three game and game one was one nothing or whatever.
in a way, almost give credit to the oilers for being as close as they've been.
Yeah, that's a looky goal helps a ton.
That swings everything.
Because all of a sudden now you're like, whoa, hang on now, like a shot and it's clinch time.
So if that doesn't bounce off Mikola at the side of the net, Bob's a perfect position for her.
But it's like, yeah, they deserve to bounce, though.
Like 970 goal, tending as good as Bob is, he's not that.
No one's a 975 goalie.
Before that went in, he was 975.
And we could talk about all these other things that I think are true, about, you know,
the willingness to sacrifice, the death.
depth, roster efficiency, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
One team's getting 900, the others is getting 975.
You switch goal, he's Edmonton's up 3-0.
It's that simple.
Is it?
Yep.
He's that good.
The goal-tending gap is massive.
He's a plus four on goals saved above expected,
Skinner's minus two and a half.
I just, maybe he's 2-1 Emmington, but like, I'm sorry.
Like, he has been so good.
He's the undeniable consmithe.
But I think that boom,
your argument to Pender would be that
well, Panthers are really good too.
Like we just talked about. I just think that's.
It can be both things.
It's both things.
Yeah.
I think if Bob's playing for Edmonton,
the Oilers do.
It's up to one at least.
Well,
maybe it's,
but that doesn't take away.
Yeah.
I mean,
I just don't think it takes away from what,
how good the Panthers are playing as well.
Like,
I think the Panthers,
you can take Reinhart,
put them on the fourth line,
and you could probably,
put in who's Lomburg and put him on the first line and you're going to get the same results
because you know what they do they play the system to a T and they work their asses off and they're
always layering offensively or defensively there's never guys on islands by themselves
blah blah blah blah blah blah Florida Panthers are up three games no because they've got a really
smart team they've out competed but they've also got the best goaltending that we've seen in a long time
Yeah, the type of goal today they're getting, you can get outplayed and win every night.
That's how good it's been from Bob.
That's my point.
They've outplayed Edmonton by a lot of measures.
They've been out chance probably over the totality of the series.
But Bob's just on another level here.
It's not close.
Yeah.
He's seeing it.
He's seeing it all the time.
Is the goalie in your head?
Is it goal?
How isn't he in your head?
Yeah, if he's not.
If you're the oilers, you've played nine periods of hockey.
There's some plays last night where you think it's tap in goals.
Yeah.
And he's sliding over.
He's stopping over somehow.
He's stopped.
Now I don't think the shots have been well placed.
But regardless, he's still getting there.
And credit to that defense for not giving the time to have a well-placed shot, right?
There's part of that too.
They got to get pucks high.
I got to get him up.
Okay, well, good luck on that.
And that's, well, you got to get in his kitchen.
You got to.
You're not getting in his kitchen.
He's dialed in.
He's still seeing everything.
There's, there's traffic in front.
There's all of it.
You brought it up with Dregs about how he'd talk to Maurice and he was saying,
I don't really have to coach.
And that's a common theme when teams get to playing this well.
That's close.
Yeah.
You know what else doesn't have to happen?
The D and the goalie and everyone on the ice don't have to talk to each other.
They don't damn well.
The D know what shot Bob can stop.
And they're almost allowing it.
Now, some of them have been hell of a play.
Like, I think who made the pass last night was.
a drop.
McDavid made one to dry
cycle cross crease.
Did he get all of it?
I don't know, but Bob made it say,
those players on the Panthers know exactly what the guy beside him is going to do.
There's no question marks.
They don't have to interpret or think about it.
They know exactly.
And Bob and the defensemen know what's going to happen.
They know the shots they want to give up.
I won't over force here to open up the middle of the ice.
It's,
they are.
dialed. There have been some of those, and there's been some videos that have shown just kind of the,
and like you say, there's no time to communicate in the defensive zone where an oil player,
whoever is, is coming up over the top of the circle. There's kind of that, you know, transfer,
the handoff of defensive responsibilities, the forward leaves it for the D, the D leaves for the
forward, they're down low, it's a reverse, but they've said nothing. I'm going to lift the stick,
leave the puck, he comes in, sweeps up the puck. Yeah, there's some coaching there,
but they're, the attention to detail is to the point that Maurice doesn't have to
worry about it. The other thing he said last night, there's about three times maybe over the year.
We had to come in. There were some trouble spots. We had to clean things up. But the cleanup was
minimal because guys bought in right away. And then we got back to winning again. It's a special
team. It sure is. Deep, talented and the willingness to pay the price. Like if there's a hundred
puck battles, how many does Florida win? It's so impressive. Because the oilers are playing in the
Stanley Cup final. They want to win puck battles. But Panthers are getting two thirds. It's
incredible how well, look at the one-nothing goal.
they're getting way more than half. It's incredible.
Yeah, we'll take a look at it here. The one nothing goal, you talk about winning battles.
It starts at the top of the zone here. There's the stick check. So now it's a race for the puck.
Barkoff wins that. He wins this battle. And then down low, Reinhardt wins that battle.
And that's, that's at Holman Bouchard. Those are the top two guys in the oilers.
It's hard to defend. I guess when you're when you're talking about that amount of skill.
but and then on the what I guess it was the Bennett goal
Bennett strips nurse of the puck
that was the 3-1 goal I guess you do the two nothing goal
or the two-one goal turnovers all over it's just they
they force you into making mistakes I'm not sure
Skinner's very kind of nonchalant Mike Smith is in the building Dean
I don't know if you saw I saw the tweet yeah I saw that
that comes up now sure enough but similarly that nurse play
remember earlier in the series when it was Rodriguez in front
Yeah.
And the puck goes right by nurse and it's into the back of the net.
But that's just it's it's a will over skill kind of a play there,
whereas Skinner and Cici kind of botched that.
And then the Bennett goal kind of the same thing.
It's just pressure, which is it's got to be exhausting retro.
And you're a defense playing against a team that comes at you like that.
It's not a huge mistake, but it's a little lift of the stick and it's in front
and it's in the back of your net in under a second it feels like.
There's not a puck that isn't challenged or forced during the game.
The Panthers don't, they don't make soft plays on the pucks.
They are fully invested physically.
They're fully invested constantly.
Yeah.
And Bennett, like, God, is he hit everything and he hits hard.
He is such a wrecking ball.
I, like, here's zip over in.
We're going to do it over and over and over and over.
And over and over, right?
What a pass.
It is on the tape.
Because in a way, Kachuk has kind of been quiet.
But that's an awfully big play at that point.
Yeah.
What do you put the statues up of those two here in Calgary?
Dude, you start, just listening to Dregor talk.
Oh, you get Kachuk and you get Bennett and then you offload Huberdo and all of this.
Oh, God.
I didn't agree.
I was going to interrupt him and say, I think Bill Zeno knew exactly what the fuck.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
He traded a regular season.
performer for a playoff performer.
And he knew that that, like,
Cuberto is a soft player. He just is.
Like, that's not a winning in the series guy.
Ilzito said, I will trade the guy
finished second in league scoring and a
first and a top pair of defensemen.
Because there's this one guy,
I think, would fit perfectly.
We may as well see the 4-1 goal. It was so pretty to watch.
It was three of them in, what, six minutes
and 19 seconds? Why wouldn't we
feel bad not to show it?
I think the
I, I,
I'm stunned.
You can't take away from what Florida is doing,
but Nurse sucks and Bushard, I think, is tired.
What's he doing here?
What's he doing?
Where are you going?
That's what we've seen from these guys.
They don't have a second pair guys,
so they're just absolutely giving way too much ice to at home of Bouchard.
If Nurse and C.C. are what they're supposed to be.
You don't have to play these guys so much.
I don't think you see as many mistakes.
I really believe that.
I do, too.
Broderg's come in and been great,
but he's been,
they've been the A all year.
This is a simple break.
It's a good third pair.
Yeah.
Simple breakout play and it's a breakaway.
You couldn't play it worse.
You've got a pinch for no reason.
And then the other defense plays,
doesn't play it like a two on one.
Yeah,
it was 27 and it feels,
because it was over 30 in game two,
right, for Bouchard.
Last night, 2749 for Bouchard
and at home 2053,
which isn't terrible, I suppose.
But you're right.
that what are you who are you playing like phillubrubr would have been the best defenseman last
night and he cc 1517 nurse 19 minutes kulak 15 and a half broberg 1549 i and i don't like the
nurse uh usage to be honest with you i know that you don't have a lot of options probably
but i just it almost feels like they're using them i would play kulak charit of exactly
His minutes up to 1920.
So this is kind of my point.
You've got a legit top pair.
I like their top pair.
And then you have five different guys that I think all are best suited as four or five
sixes.
Like they don't have a second pair.
They just don't.
And it's crazy they get this far.
But then again, you got, you know, three guys that are historically good point
producers, two forwards and a defenseman.
Yeah.
It's too bad.
It's really a shame.
You know, interestingly, too, we, I think, right, you called Florida to win.
that game last night.
I thought we all
agreed there's going to be this massive
push. Get ready, Florida. Hang on.
It's going to be a white knuckle ride.
I don't know that it was, was it?
Late it was. It wasn't early.
But I, so
it's impossible to know.
Was the push there or isn't Ford that good?
Because I think Florida was positioned
that where they're like, I don't give a shit
what these guys do. What difference does
make? We play our game.
Well, you said it be.
What there's just, we wondered how much it would be.
And we asked a lot of people, okay, one group, this is unfinished business, they've been here before.
What's that worth?
And it could be nothing.
It could be a lot.
You said it earlier today.
It looks like it's a lot more than many thought.
It kind of does, right?
It looks like this is business.
Yeah.
For Florida.
There's no emotion.
They are blood, like, I mean, they are cold-blooded bloodthirsty out to finish what they did in the year ago.
Yep.
they're not bad news they're going to keep a lot of their guys too
like someone's going to like someone like true living is going to give montour way too much
money and he's not the straw to say the trick because they need d so bad in
Toronto and he's physical he fits what true living loves
but like they're they'll bring reinhart back and they've got everyone
there's no dumb money the only dumb money on the roster is
the Spencer night and I don't even know where he's at
is he still in the player assistance program but the dumb money is
except Bob is going to win the con Spine.
It's fine.
Yeah.
It was done the first three years of that deal.
That's when you thought you'd get the best Bob.
And it's here in five and four last year that he's played his best talk.
I feel bad for you, right?
34 and 35.
Because you got way out on the limb and you pick Bennett for Khan Smyth.
And if Bob wasn't out of his mind, he might be there for it.
It's probably bark off, but Bennett has been a real factor in the series.
I'll tell you what, watching Barkoff this playoff.
So you're just like, oh my God, yeah, this guy is.
Is there anyone that is,
Your stock has risen more for you.
And I know Bob's been insane, but like, Barkov, what he's done?
And we knew it.
He went second overall.
You knew it.
Winning Selkys and that.
No, I've never watched him enough.
My respect level for him is just horse.
And so in a series with the best player in the world and Leon Drysidal,
far and away the best center in the series has been.
Yeah.
Sasha Barkoff.
And he has to play against McDavid most of the time.
It's incredible.
I don't think until this series, people, because you hear so, like I'm saying he's going to win the next 10 Selkees or whatever.
Because he doesn't put up the gaudy numbers offensively, we kind of gloss over a bit.
He is absolutely the most important player on that team and the goalie being hot helps.
Left game two with the shot to the jaw comes back.
Is he going to play?
20 minutes and six seconds, one goal, one assist, 63% in the face off.
thought. And that
doesn't tell, that tells you
what about 60% of the story?
Dominated. Just dominated.
Dominated.
Even our buddy Benny.
One goal, two shots, 17 and a half,
went 9 and 4 in the face-offs.
How many hits?
How do you get a center like that?
Credited with three hits.
You put him on the wing on the fourth line.
And then he asks for a trade.
That's how you get.
Look, we talked about it.
I think it's a show that might drop in July.
There was five coaches that had a chance to make Sam Bennett
work in the top six. No one could do it.
I'm not saying you didn't.
But Boom wanted the answer to a question.
That's how you get the top.
Is that you find a guy struggling on the fourth line
that needs a change of scenery, 100%.
Yeah, give up nothing to get it.
Well, and it's funny because Patrick Lainey's
name comes up.
And he's still in the player assistance program.
He's asked to be out again.
He said he wants a fresh start.
And everyone's like, well, how many chances of that?
And to be fair, he had one fresh start in Columbus.
And it's been horseshit and that organization's been a tire fire.
And he's been a lot in terms of like,
you want so much more from him.
But like that's the kind of guy whose stock is distressed enough
that maybe there's a target for someone like Calgary.
Whereas I think Zegris, there's just still too much value there.
If you really want to go bargain bin hunting,
go watch Sam Bennett on the fourth line
when he looks like shit and say I want that guy.
Go find Patrick Line with all the off-ice stuff
can't fit in in a group.
That's when you buy low.
The only I guess, yeah, I know what you're saying.
It's a specific example.
There's big money there for Lydé, right?
He's not a setter, but.
Both tough I picks.
Yeah.
Goodness gracious.
Goodness gracious.
I thought it was interesting.
I was going to grab the clip,
but there's Chris Knoblock afterwards.
it is comments.
What do you say if you're that coach?
Your team is just, right?
You're down 03.
And yeah, maybe with some better goaltending
and some puck luck and all that,
you're in it,
but you know it's over.
And it's,
it's been humbling.
We know,
I think we've proven we can beat this team,
he says last night.
And they lost both games
in the regular season and haven't beat him yet.
Did you have you proven you can beat them?
Is that proven?
Not sure.
But again,
what do you do?
Do you say we're beaten?
You got to put the brave face.
No.
What are you going to do?
Yeah.
Don't read in.
Don't take what you hear in post game stuff.
But, uh, and I've said this before.
No one else deserves to be there other than in Edmonton.
Dallas shit themselves.
Colorado did not look good enough.
Yeah, Colorado.
The New Jersey thing's a disaster.
Vegas blew a two nothing lead in round one.
Dallas folded.
Who?
Who other than no one else?
And in the east.
they went through Tampa, Boston, and the Rangers.
Yeah.
President's trophy.
They've ran the gauntlet.
Yeah, and you noted what Maurice had said.
You know, you think the Pasternak Bruins power play?
Like, you think those are some challenges offensively?
Yeah.
What do you think about Stamco's Kuturoff, point, headman, the Tampa?
Like, you think that group would be tough to settle down?
Then you go to the, oh, well, Panarin had this many points.
Criders have been a jed, like,
They won the Carolina series because of that power play almost because they were they were that good.
And so this Florida team has shut down three teams that are very gifted offensively.
And everyone said, yeah, but it's McDavid and Drysidal this time.
And really what we're learning is that Florida can shut down anyone.
You brought up dry saddle on that penalty kill.
That backdoor play where we would say, guys, teams, penalty kills, you've seen this before, right?
97's whipping around and 29
is standing on the goal line
below the dot and he's
going to score 50 from there
pay attention to him
well Florida seems to have done it and maybe he
is dinged up because he doesn't look quite right
he's not shooting the puck I've never seen him shoot the puck this bad
yeah I kind of
flog the wall off the
off the stick last night but they've taken away
all that stuff
they've to who runs
go get some of those coaches go get some of those guys
who because they if they can
I'd take the personnel personally.
If they can take that, if they can take that power play and just render it 0%.
Yeah.
It's impressive.
I think that those players on Florida are all smart players.
I said it to Dregs, and I was watching it, I believe it.
Like there will be a system that the penalty kill coach has implemented,
but those guys are making reads off of the puck and off the other team.
and off of each other.
They don't,
it's not just systems.
So at 602 into the third,
the Broberg shot bounces in and it's 4-2.
And then it's like,
okay, McLeod with five minutes left,
nice tip,
and you're like,
one's lucky,
the other,
it wasn't like they were,
like they'd done a real good job
of wet blanketing.
Like you can have the puck,
but you're not going to get chances.
And now it's a one goal game
with a lot of clock left.
There's a lot of teams
we've watched in this postseason.
that you'd start to see them just sweat and panic and get out of position.
And it's like, ah, we're hanging on for dear life.
They didn't allow shot in the last, what, two minutes?
Well, they pulled Skinner with 127 left and couldn't get a shot on that.
And so they're just, there's such poise there.
Because even the Oilers you've seen blow like leads like that were
as Vancouver comes storming back.
And, you know, that was the calling part of this playoff, right?
Was teams not hanging on to leads?
How many teams come from behind wins?
Remember game one, Colorado, Dallas?
They come back from three down and the third.
Like we've seen so many comebacks.
And Florida's just like, no, no, no, we'll just keep doing what we're doing.
No one's panicking there.
No one's panicking.
And boy, I mean, obviously, it's like the parade is being held today.
But if somehow they do tie it up and they get some, some goal in overtime or whatever,
it's two one today.
The series is much the same, but it's, but it would feel a whole lot different.
Yeah, you could tie it on Saturday.
Because right now, it feels like it's under a percent.
I don't know.
Go ahead, Rhett.
I don't think you're going to beat Bob four times straight.
And I don't think you can beat.
And even if he got hurt, I don't think you're beating the Panthers four times straight.
Like, I just, too much.
Yeah.
And only one team in NHL history has overcome a three nothing deficit in the final.
It was the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1942.
They're right.
40s.
Yeah.
But they were a really good team, is that right?
Because I've heard that was a year where there was only six teams, I thought.
42 Leafs, man.
So good.
I had a bunch of them in my playoff pool.
Shit, you had killed.
You thought you were done early, hey?
That's right.
Yeah, I thought to come all this way.
Hot twist.
I'm back, baby.
It's unfortunate.
So, yeah, like, to your point, if they eke that out somehow, like an ugly one that they don't deserve,
that's kind of like what Florida had in game one.
And like if they win that in overtime, now you're saying dry siddle and McDavid have combined for zero goals and we have a chance to tie it on home ice on Saturday.
Yeah, like it's one bounce of the puck.
We're talking about.
Now, I feel bad in a way.
It doesn't feel like we're that upset today.
But we are part of a family inside the nation network.
Okay.
To the north, our friends are our buddies like Oilers Nation.
This is probably a bad, kind of a bad day.
for these guys.
I was probably not an enjoyable.
It's roller coaster rides.
While the Florida Panthers don't seem to go up and down,
I think the Oilers Nation guys do.
I saw this tweet last night from Tyler,
your Mchuck, our buddy up there.
Fogel is scoring on breakaways.
This shit might be over for you, Florida.
I'm sure he's kind of being tongue and cheek about Fogel,
maybe not scoring or not scoring on breakaways,
but it was shortly after this tweet went out.
They got three on four in six minutes and nine.
19 seconds.
Right.
Well, T's and P's.
Full screen. There you go.
I also had, I saw a Dustin Nielsen.
This is the power play they score for sure.
Mark it down.
Like, no.
Still haven't done that.
You can't.
Not to take anything away from obviously from, I'm happy to cheer for Florida.
But the oilers, if you're an oiler fan, you can be drinking.
your coffee with your buddy going,
geez, if we just did
a bounce, game one or
last night, right?
Like, game one was
a game where you could have won.
You played them.
You played them. Last
night, there were chances
to score.
Like, they did have some opportunity
to put the puck in that.
You could find
silver linings if you're an oiler fan
and go, we could have won that game.
Just think of that Skinner misplay or one play.
What's our differential at the end of the night?
I was, I didn't want, because I think Skinner's,
I think everybody loves the guy.
I think he's a great guy.
I think he's a great guy.
Same with Jack Campbell.
Everybody loves the guy.
And I think it's the same with Skinner.
And I, but I didn't want to, I didn't want to,
to grab it and, and crush the guy.
Because he was asked about afterwards,
It's just the emotions that he's feeling and did, did you think you'd be here?
Is this tough?
And he's still pretty thankful to be here.
It's a Stanley Cup final one with the last two teams playing.
So I do feel very fortunate to be here.
And I just wonder, that's such a, it's a sweet thing to say and it's honest.
And we always say, you know, we crush guys for for being honest.
And then we bitch at them when they don't say anything.
It was like, maybe it was not the right time.
Maybe be, maybe be a little more disappointed.
I kind of think that's the short.
memory thing for goalies where it's like you saw kipper no matter how good or bad the game was it's
the same skate to the corner splashed the water like evy stevie i think that's a part of it but he
wouldn't say i i feel very fortunate to be here down o three after tonight well i guess what he's
saying is the alternative is like yeah no i know i know i don't not yet he's trying to be positive
right yeah uh so goalies easy to figure out right is that how it goes easy no oh the other one
Jayfresh put this
this little board together.
It's the last run of goalies.
So do you need a $10 million goalie?
No, you don't.
It helps sometimes.
Well, what have you got?
So Aiden Hill and just looking at the performances of some of the gold team.
No, wasn't nobody.
Then played great.
Aden Hill was great.
Darcy Kemper, not real good.
Vasilevsky, pretty good and just okay.
And Bennington won just okay.
And Holteby.
even the king's one,
Quick didn't need to be dynamite in 14.
It was real good there.
And then, yeah,
Niemie with the Hawks.
Crawford was never that good.
I mean,
there's some tidy numbers in there
in some of those years,
but it's not a list of Hall of Famers necessarily,
but then there are some, right?
Because what do you do if you're these other teams?
Okay, how do you rebuild this?
What do we,
how do we replicate this?
What did they do?
What's the recipe?
There's no recipe.
That's the thing.
Like you said, Redd, how do you, is there, is there one of these charts for brains?
Can you find guys hearts and brains and determination and, yeah, some skill?
Legit question, Pinder.
Sorry, boom, but on this, legit question.
Yeah.
Do advanced analytics answer whether the guy has hockey sports?
You're talking about goalies or just overall?
No, no, no, no, no.
I'm talking about, not, not.
Well, I think you.
I'm talking about players that, you know,
Right now we're saying, boy, it looks like those, the whole team is smart because they're reading off each other and they're reacting correctly and they're playing the right way.
What a bunch of smart players.
Yeah, yeah.
I would say if you were a GM and you went to your data guy and said, like, I want smart players.
The data guy would probably come back to say, okay, well, tell me what smart hockey is.
Is it not turning over the puck?
Is it, you know, making sure your shift lengths don't get long?
Like, tell me the specific things that you would call a smart hockey player.
And we can go measure those.
But if you want someone to pump out a number for smart,
I think a lot of people would have different definitions of a smart.
Well,
then my question,
yeah,
my curiosity was whether the analytics actually support and can break that down,
or if this is one of those instances where there's guys who certain,
they'd watch a lot of hockey and they scout and this is their job and they just have an
eye for it.
And you've got to respect that part of it.
I don't know.
I think that's absolutely,
yeah,
you have to have that in your organization.
Nobody doesn't have scouts, right?
I mean, you need to have a feel for the game.
But yeah, it's a, you know, no, no, no, no stat or eyeball scout three years ago said, or four years ago said San Ben is a really smart hockey.
I was just going to say, we sat here and if anything, we called him a dog hockey player.
He's got all the tools.
Yeah.
But he cannot figure it out.
If there's a decision to be made and one's a poor one, he's choosing that one eight times it feels like out of 10.
but with patience and experience and maybe a better fit.
He's clearly figured out.
Yeah.
Because he looks like a highly intelligent guy out there who picks his spots and is effective.
Now,
he's an effective NHL center.
That's underselling it.
And we didn't feel like this guy's never going to be a centerman.
This guy can't play center.
You know where he's going.
He doesn't know what he's doing.
Bad penalties, head down,
towdrags into traffic.
Like it was mind numbing.
watching them play here.
And the analytics and the eyeball test would have matched.
And a lot of times they do.
Like you had said it the other day, Rhett,
like everyone sort of wants to pit one against the other.
Oftentimes, they really reinforce each other because you have good scouts
and you have good data people.
If you've got bad scouts and bad data people,
then you're, yeah, you're not going to agree a lot.
But, you know, people don't work in the NHL doing this stuff
and are way off on stuff.
They're usually pretty damn sharp,
whether it's watching and taking notes
or whether it's measuring outcomes and data.
And I still think as an example,
and I brought it up to Dregs when he was on.
Florida was really bad for a long time
and had to find high-end players.
And I think they were fortunate with some of their trades
or maybe you applaud them for making the moves
and being insightful.
Regardless, they have a whole bunch of top-end players.
High drafted, high, you know what I mean?
High overall picks.
Yep.
It does matter.
Yeah, and look, you can play that both ways.
Huberto high pick,
Cadre high pick.
Like we could do that thing.
It's just that...
Go through the list of how many.
Yeah.
What was Huberto?
Two overall three?
Yeah, I mean,
it's just...
If you're on the other side,
you've, yeah, it's Ekblad, it's Barkov,
it's Bennett, it's Kachuk,
it's Reinhardt.
They were all, if not top 10, top five guys.
OEL was a first round pick,
to a lesser extent, obviously,
but...
we all want to find something we can copy and say this is how you win.
But in reality, this is much more art than science and there isn't a recipe.
And yes, you want smart players.
And yes, you want depth.
And yes, you want high pedigree drafted guys.
And yes, you want a veteran coach.
And yes, you need goaltending.
And yes, you want special teams.
You're right.
You're right.
It is art because Barkoff wouldn't be your first pick.
Because Barkoff is not the point producer that you would think you need in a top three.
Right?
I'm getting to the good part.
It's art because I don't know.
Yeah, you're going to take McDavid over Barcove right now.
But who's influencing things more than those guys?
Markov's done a better series.
Who are you?
If you have to base your team success around a guy,
Barkov might, he's, he's right there.
He's not the prototypical.
You know, he's not Austin Math.
views.
He's just a real smart.
Like if Barcoff had to play
against Montreal, or pardon me, Toronto,
I think he'd shut all those guys down too.
You shut everyone down. He's played.
Like, it's, how many of the top 10
goals scores in the league? Is he just absolutely
regardless, I still say
the point I'm trying to get across since
it's dumb topics, because it's easy
to, the higher
picks you get, the more high end picks you get,
the better off you're going to be. Yeah, I agree.
It's just,
it's talent,
man.
You're just not going to miss as much.
Yeah.
If you're the Calvary Flames,
and I know there's going to be pressure about,
oh,
it's got to be a watchable team.
We can't be too bad.
And, you know,
we really don't want to lose our season ticket base.
Like,
burn the fucking boats and get picks.
Like,
I would be interested because they do.
If you get three picks in the top dozen,
red,
this is exactly what you're talking about.
Yes.
Especially in this year's top dozen where you might feel like you got three of the top five.
These,
this is the part of the draft,
where you come out with your,
we can win in five to eight years
at these type guys.
And maybe not even five.
Like it's, anyway.
There's no guarantees,
but it sure feels like this has been
the method that they've been using
for quite some time to very
few results.
Making the playoffs.
Yeah.
It can't be the goal.
That can't be.
so that you can what is the cool it can't be the but you know what I'm saying it's like okay well we're a
playoff team we want to make the playoffs every year okay how about try to win the cup yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
yeah yeah yeah and don't forget and then that go back with florida they've been good for a while
president's trophy three years ago i was going to say i looked at the flames last year this is no
Cinderella, right? This is, you know, they did have 52 wins and 110 points and did win their division.
So they had, what, 122 and won the president's trophy and it took balls because Bill Zito looked at the team that was the best in the regular season and said, we have to make drastic change.
I don't think most GMs have the courage to do that.
Yeah, 21, 22, they had 58 wins and 122 points.
And what lost round one to Tampa? Is that what that was?
Round two.
That's the other thing.
They've lost some rounds.
to really good teams.
Tampa taught the win for being honest.
Exactly. Thank you.
And then there's a lot of similarities.
Like Tampa had teams that were deep with these great fines and where did you get them?
I mean, for Haggy won a cup with Tampa.
They had March or so before everyone else did.
You know, they drafted Braden Point when everyone else let them slide around three.
Like these are, these are well-run organizations.
And then you go back to last year.
So they win the president's trophy.
And they do take the step back in the regular season.
92 points.
I mean,
Flames had 93.
We talked about that
a little bit.
If Pittsburgh doesn't
lose to Chicago
in the last game
of the year,
Florida misses the playoffs.
Instead of the final.
And instead makes the march
to the final.
What are we talking about here?
Look at you flailing.
Crazy sport.
So excited.
Goalie.
Well,
great show.
Just end it Saturday.
Is that what we're,
I'm at that point.
Especially because it's going to be
another couple days and then it's going to be all the way till Tuesday.
Everyone's going to have to write the same freaking article about travel or Stuart Skinners from
Edmonton.
We're just end it.
What are we going to do?
That'll be the thing.
I've got the draft coming up.
Two weeks from the draft today, round one.
Yeah.
You can get some marks from trade rumors.
I know.
I know we're going to need some days off in there.
Yeah, we probably are.
Definitely.
Because this has been a gross.
exhausting.
I'm beat down.
I'm beating like a dog.
Holy shit.
I found.
Oh.
Remember we gave you a homework assignment when you go back to
Manitoba?
Sure.
I found like a tourism
Roblin drone tour of this place that you've
Really?
Yeah, it's a
wow.
I told you the jewel.
You got to appreciate it.
Main Street.
they said, but it was just like a dirt road with buildings.
I believe there is a pavement.
Oh, it's pavement.
Yeah.
There is pavement.
Light or stop signs?
Stop signs.
Yeah, no line.
They actually put extra stop signs in.
Extras.
Yeah.
Too much cruising?
I guess just too much cruise in Maine.
Yeah.
Going up and down Maine.
It would take you about 45 seconds.
Then you turn around.
Without the stop signs.
And you do that for a couple hours.
just praying that somebody walks by so you can stop and say,
so what's happening?
Put out the vibe.
Yeah,
and you'd stop in the middle of the street if somebody was coming towards you.
And you'd be chatting and then Pete cars would pull up in behind.
And you'd just sit there.
It's like,
I'm sure they're going to wrap this up at some point.
They must be talking about something important or they're not,
but you know, whatever.
Just wait until they're done and then we'll carry on.
No horn honking.
There's none of that stuff.
Beep, beep, hey, let's get going.
We got to.
have like no chance.
You remember when Brunt would get out to his summer home in Newfoundland?
And he'd talk about like just you have,
it takes days to adjust to how different the pace of life is.
And that someone at the drive-thru is just going to talk with the guy for eight minutes.
And you're like, yeah.
Yeah, that's just how it goes.
Like you're going to pull your hair out day one and two weeks.
Like, yeah, I'm going to chat with him for eight minutes too.
Let's see how he's doing.
It feels pretty good today.
Hey.
It's Friday.
Sun's out.
Euro starts
whatever
Surge game tonight
oh baby
yeah that's exactly
why we're feeling great
oh can't ask us tomorrow
for some golf rat
tough to be
land's tomorrow
what's that
mother-in-law lands tomorrow
well that sounds fun
that's
gonna open the calendar up
I was going to say
she'll be looking after the kids
and then you can really get
stupid
Oh, it's Portugal, Italy.
Sorry, babe.
Yeah, Portugal, Italy, because you are Portuguese.
Port Italian, yeah.
Yeah.
Let's do the Pinder Report.
It's a presentation of Village.
Honda, the Civic leads the way in value, reliability, performance.
10 out of 10 in car and drivers comprehensive vehicle testing.
If not the Civic, maybe you want the Accord.
And if not the Accord, maybe you're getting family getting a little bit.
Maybe you need the CRV.
Oh, bigger still.
Maybe you want the pilot.
Maybe you want your haul and stuff.
Maybe you need the Ridgeline.
It's Honda.
The very best of the best,
located at the Northwest Autoball and online at village honda.com.
Ryan Pinder.
Yeah, Pinder Report.
It was a great night in Edmonton for Oilers fans.
If you were cheering for both teams.
The shubler was confused by this as well.
Yeah.
This is the U.S. broadcast.
We didn't see this angle in Canada, but, uh,
After review, we are going to rule that's a drunken fan.
Yeah.
And she just had a first goal bet.
She had the Reinhardt first goal?
Yeah, she was on Betway.
Plus 700.
It was like plus 2000.
Oh, wow.
For first goal for Ryanhart.
Still wanted them.
Jacked.
Ninth of the year that opened the scoring.
Bobrowski's been sensational.
Skinner has been.
Okay.
And, well, here's sort of some examples of that.
Here's the skin dog all time in the Stanley Cup final.
There's a lot of goalies that have played in the Stanley Cup final.
Dean, did you know that?
Bob.
Bob essence.
He didn't play there with the Jets.
I can fucking tell you that.
Well, and you got to remember, some of these eras,
they were standing up with phone books wrapped around their shins.
We're in no helmets.
This is not good companies.
Or this is just playoffs.
This isn't final.
Sorry, thank you.
At least eight games.
So which I'm curious
Would that be Dan Clucce?
Or would that be
Forber Flame Jacques Clucet?
That would fit Dan.
He had some, what was it, the beach ball moments in Vancouver?
Some Murray Bannerman in there.
Oh, boy.
Greg Stephan, Red Wings.
Brett, did you play with Bobbess?
I believe I did.
In the series, this from Megan Chica,
John's sister, they started staff leads together.
after three games
Bob's a plus 5.44
that's gold save
saved above expected
skin dog's about a minus three
yeah that one behind the net last night
that's one of those three for sure
that would be one of them yeah
and from the slot
19 of 20 for Bob
are you kidding me
who good feet
he's so good denial
you mentioned to Jonathan quick
they're not the same size at all
but just bottom of the net
You talked about how the Panthers kind of play like that Kings group, Brett.
The goalie's kind of a fit too.
What about Kipper?
Yeah, sure.
Lower half of the net.
Yeah.
He's reminding me of Kipper.
Who texted you?
Uh, Chester.
Kelly Cheselaah.
He's coaching on it?
Yeah, he's very elite.
He's an elite level coach I saw.
Mm-hmm.
Congratulations.
Kelly.
That's tough to get to.
When you do, sorry, I was going to say, when you think about the highlights,
the highlight real that we're seeing.
of Bobrovsky it is all stuff down long it's taking away
it's much high glove he's not good but that's his week that's right like
feel like in the series before they're like well you have to score up top yeah the
at home goal is the first that beat them five hold the whole playoffs and there's been very
few others on the bottom half of the net but the thing that florida does they block shots
so well that you need to be a distance to get it up if you're in tight like you're playing
his game. He loves it in tight. He's been so
comfy with traffic around him.
Any bottom half? Like, no.
It's good. Good player.
People talking about Hall of Fame now, right? I can't wait
for the parade. I'm interested to see
how the Panthers parade compares
to the lightning.
So I was talking with Jack about this before
the show. Jack's like, who?
It's Jack. John. Boss.
Jack. Jerry?
Boss. A producer. Please say your name.
Who are you? Boss. Boss.
Yeah. You there? Boss. Boss. Boss.
boss. Boss. So boss was saying, will they stay in party in Edmonton? And I'm like, no, they'll typically get on the plane and absolutely get home as quick as you can. But given the time change and how late things are, you might wheel into out of the off the plane at like 5, 6 a.m. and bright skies.
It'll be later than that because they won't stay in Edmonton, I don't believe. But they'll be in that room forever. There will be no rush to get to the air. They might leave Edmonton at 3.000. They might leave Edmonton at 3.
They will, which is five.
What happens, yeah, is these teams, they bring in family as well, right?
Yeah.
Sure.
So there will be a plane of family members that are going to be there.
And they have their own suites and rooms down below.
And if there is a championship, then, then yeah, it's going to be in the room and family and all that sort of stuff.
But it's because remember Washington, they hung around and celebrated.
They were in Vegas, though, after they won their cup.
Yeah, that makes some sense.
Boys?
Let's load up La Duke.
Are you ready to head to the rum jungle, boys?
Go ahead to steamy.
What's the place with live music in the mall?
How late are they open?
So they'll be getting off a plane.
Maybe they would rent the water park.
Why not?
Great idea.
This is why Rett's an idea guy.
Huh?
It's a lot of disease.
Paul.
Coach.
Paul.
If we're staying and we got the cup,
I want the water park.
Like that's what Parkov's telling the coach.
We're going to the water park if we win the cup.
We get to stay in.
There'd be no better way to rub Evanston's nose in it than to parade the thing around the fucking mall they talk about all the time.
We've got them all.
Really?
That's big.
They'll be getting off a plane in the early bright skies at some point.
Theoretically, if they went on Saturday, Sunday morning.
and then you're just going to floor it for three or four days, Miami.
It's,
and get the sea lion in there to balance it on its nose.
They can swim with that right where the pirate ship is.
That's right, Marine.
So good.
It's good.
Fort Lauderdale weather, hot and humid.
Good beer drinking weather, I'm guessing.
If Bobrovsky wants to try to match Kuturov's show at the boat parade,
had.
So what do they, like, what did the heats do
when they won the NBA titles?
Do you go to Miami to do the preys?
Miami has some kind of
boardwalky kind of thing.
I've never been there, but I think that's kind of
the, where they would plan this out.
Maybe for a lot of time to figure it out.
I'd really explore the area for Lauderdale.
South Beach.
shot to age
put on the cameras
at the elbow room
there's a lot of choices
yeah options
just like Edmonton
the mall
water power
yeah lots
which Boston pizza do you want to go to
all kinds of options
guys
how do you decide
one by the airport
on downtown
on by the mall
uh
mcdud's still putting up points
kind of
I mean
it's weird to see him climbing
these list
he feels like he's
he's had the puck a lot
but he hasn't done a ton
with it in a weird way
it defended a brilliant
really, right? Like, they let him have space and time. They don't get sucked in. And he just doesn't end up getting great options. It's wild how well they've defended him. And yeah, he's got three points and three games. What's contained. If you want to ask what is containing McDavid look like, it's three points in three games, no goals. What's crazy is, like Drysidal was on such a torrid pace. Two points per game.
Hyman.
possible. Yeah, Hyman, Bouchard, all of these guys were on record,
the kind of record like pace, offensive numbers. And it's just crickets across the board.
Does anyone see anything out of Adam Henrik that suggests you should move a first round of him?
Wow. It'll be, hopefully they can resign him. He had an assist. Did he? Give him two firsts.
That's what I was getting at when I asked Gregor that. Well, like, what do you see him with the oilers?
Like, are some of the holes? It's like, yeah.
I looked at it today.
With Cain Hurt,
they have five forwards that have basically all their points.
And like,
you know,
say what you will,
but a power for it at that age,
whatever,
but like there's Hyman,
Nugent Hopkins, McDavid,
Drysidal are absolutely filling the net.
And then it's one point,
three points,
four points,
two points,
one point.
Cory Perry has one assist.
And you look at this.
Yarn Mark has,
one or two points.
Like Brown has,
last night,
Fogel, McLeod, Broberg.
Broberg didn't play for three rounds.
Yeah.
McLeod in and out of the lineup a little bit, to a lesser extent,
but he was healthy here and there.
And Fogel, that's, and prior to this game, it's all defense.
Because Eckholm had the only, what, the goal in game two.
Hmm.
So here, I'll read it off in order.
McDavid, 34 points, dry saddle, 28 points.
Newgeon Hopkins 20
Hyman 18
you're like wow
that's a great group
like four studs
then it's five points for Henrique
four for Yanmark
four for Brown
four for Holloway two for
McLeod one for Perry
one for Derek Ryan
four for Fogel
like I just like
are any of these guys
like they're just guys
they're all replaceable parts
after you get past those
those five forwards aren't they?
Very much so
like as
Fogel a second, third, or fourth line.
I look at who Leon Drysettles playing with with a chance to win the Stanley Cup.
McLeod on one side and 39-year-old Corey Perry on the other.
Those are not second liners.
I didn't understand that.
Like, David was not on the ice to start the game?
Or was he?
He was on second ship because they started the dry settle in first.
Yeah.
Are we surprised about that at all?
So you're putting out Drysidal, who's, you know, for a short amount of time,
been kicking it around with two guys who have been recent.
They're fourth line.
I'm playing McDavid and Dryside will start the game.
I don't give a F who's on the other side of the ice.
Like we're down two goals.
Stanley Cup finals.
Coming off a two-day break.
We're fresh.
Let's go.
Yeah.
And you put them with the fourth line,
healthy scratch guys.
It's not a second line.
It's not.
Okay.
We'll move.
This is coach Naublock after the game.
You talked about what do you say?
Do you believe it? Are you lying through your teeth? Are you delusional?
Or do you believe you're going to be the second team in the history of the sport to come back to the 3-0 in the Stanley Cup final?
Deep hole, how do you keep the belief alive?
And are you more psychologists than coach over the next 48 hours?
I don't think there's much to be said or I think there's a lot of belief.
You look at our season this year and, you know, we've had two eight-game winning streaks.
We've had a 16-game winning streak.
When things go well, we can really turn it, turn it up.
And, you know, I think we've showed that we can beat this team.
I think there's a lot of belief in that.
It's not like we're getting outplayed and we're just, you know, that team's better than us.
I don't think there's anything that I need to say to the team and convince them otherwise.
You know, I think everyone in that dressing room feels the same way I do.
We can string together a lot of wins.
We've shown it. Obviously, the stakes are a little bit of
higher. We're playing a better team than we
would in the regular season.
But, yeah, I don't
think there's any doubt in our room.
So we've got a week and a half left of this series. That game sevens
two Mondays from now. I love game sevens.
Don't you? I do. Yeah.
It's a lot of talking.
I feel for them. It's a tough
spot to be in, but I think the only thing you can really do is
say, look, we can't win four games. We can come out and play one
game on Saturday. That's our focus. We're thinking about anything else.
There's a lot of hope in that room. We've proven we can beat these guys, even though we
haven't beat them in five times. Even though we've not beaten them. I think we've proven.
Is it like David that kept saying hope the other day or? I'd like to see. He was looking forward
out again. He was looking forward to people doubting them. Well, he's got to be thrilled today.
He's got to be so excited because way more. There's a lot of doubt. A lot of shit. He's going to
love today. Yeah. Pretty much everybody now. Yeah. Doubting them. So.
Congrats, McDood.
Boy, you hate to see
Bad Things Happen to Good People.
Curry Perry set to lose his fourth consecutive final
and Byron Bader from the top row.
Perry is the best in the business
at losing in the Stanley Cup final.
That's,
he's a dick to play against,
but I love how he's played in his career,
blah, blah, blah.
Yeah.
That's stunning.
Like that's tough.
Right?
So that's,
that's the only saving grace.
I guess you would say consecutive.
I mean,
for him,
I guess,
right?
The four just the final in a row
that he's going to lose if the oldest don't.
Because remember Hosa.
Yeah.
Was what?
He was in Pittsburgh and lost to Detroit,
then went to Detroit to lose to Pittsburgh.
So he lost them back to back on the two different teams.
Then he finds it,
ah,
I can't chase him anymore.
I guess I'll just take this crazy long-term deal from Chicago.
They're not very good.
I got a couple,
high picks, I guess, but I'm just going to take a long-term deal and just get my money.
That worked out okay.
Worked out okay.
As numbers were tired there, isn't it?
Yeah.
I think this past year or the year before, yeah, yeah.
He's going to wear it for the ceremony, but you got itchy.
Can't do it.
Didn't want to break out.
He was top of us.
He had to do the whole ceremony without a shirt.
He's allergic to club.
You love Charles, and I saw this, and I love you, boom.
So you get to watch it now.
Nice.
I used to watch you when I was a little kid.
You were great.
I used to watch him with all the little kid.
He's amazing.
I watch you on TV all the time.
I don't even know.
You met these young guys, man.
They're awesome.
Hey, y'all getting a chat to meet the greatest hockey player ever.
Y'all go ahead and do y'all things.
I appreciate it.
I call him a friend of mine.
I used to watch an eye to little kid.
They were just black and white.
I've never seen you in color.
It's just Charles being Charles.
It's a beautiful thing.
It is.
Yeah, it's real great.
He's a good.
I mean, gosh, it's a good life.
Like he'd said, because, of course, the NBA and TNT, that thing's probably going away.
It's that.
I bouch that up.
I hate interrupting the Pinder Report because I love the Pinder Report.
That connection is turning into a, and I'm talking about the Florida connection.
And Chuck, I think that's going to be big for the league.
Chuck, huge.
right the fact that he's getting the rights was so big because that show is the best in sport right it's the best panel show there is and chuck loves hockey like what a boon that is for because you had the shack hyman so then shacks holding up a hyman jersey and then he did the dry sidel and all of that no question and i i i see all the things right now about ratings being up and they're through the roof and all that and i'm sure they are but it's it's it's kind of a different every era is different
TNT is doing their thing.
But I think that this,
the game is exciting to watch now.
And we talked about it with these comfort behind wins
and no lead is safe.
It does,
if you're coming around on the sport,
it is exciting.
There's some drama.
It's not 2-1,
empty net, 3-1.
Well, we never doubted that we were going to win.
It's a different type of a game now, for sure.
You're not selling the late 90s devils here.
This is a really great brand of sport that, yeah.
And I think we talked about it ages ago,
but when you went to HD,
you could actually follow the sport
without having played the sport.
You can see the pock,
little things like that.
Well,
I think it's a little different too.
I'm trying to remember,
who is the Canadian actor?
I won't think of it because he's passed away now.
But you'd have Michael J. Fox.
You'd have the same,
you'd have Goldie Hawn.
Tired celebrities, yeah.
Yeah.
And they would show up at the forum.
So,
look at these celebrities.
They like hockey.
It's a little different,
I think, now when it's Shaq
and Characartley.
It's a little bit of a little bit of,
a different,
different feel,
I think.
Vince Vaughn
in Chicago.
Yeah,
it's getting better.
I like it.
Okay,
let's go back
to a different era.
You want to talk
about getting soft
in today's kids,
Rhett?
Throwback to the anniversary
of Nolan Ryan
throwing 235 pitches
and getting pissed
that he got pulled
from the game.
It was 13 innings,
extra innings.
They pulled him.
They had the nerve.
And yeah,
he ended up not being happy.
235 pitches.
You get to 100 these days.
That's like running a marathon.
I don't know why that made the cut.
But they did.
Alan Thick.
Thank you, David.
That's who I was trying to think of.
This kid's the rapper,
the pop guy, isn't he?
That's right.
Get that music video.
Look out.
I do.
Yeah.
Surger in action tonight.
Taking on Stink at Edmonton and the Stingers at WinSport.
Looking forward to that.
Saying hello to the pay belt friends at the VIP table.
Go, Serge.
Go.
Sergio, the mascot.
You thought his name was?
Uh, hoody?
I believe.
Stamps are in action.
Tomorrow, they're in BC.
Uh, no line on this game.
I was on Betway and they said, they've suspended it.
Something's going on here.
What's going on?
Canary?
What's the age you?
What are doing?
Right, come on.
Stick up with football.
The Kansas City Chiefs got their football,
uh, their Super Bowl championship.
rings red um who that's a lot of diamonds they're everywhere is that worth more than s's
yes you could strip the diamonds off and make 10 times what es is selling his for i believe there's
250 plus diamonds i believe oh yeah and then look you pop the top and they get uh the tom jerry play
wow that's nice they're pretty why do you need to top pop the top i guess i mean it's cool and
Because someone started and now you have to all do it.
Oh, okay.
It's ready to keep your fungus so you don't get patted down at the door.
Let's move to Calvary FC.
They're in Colonet tomorrow, take it on Vancouver FC.
Big up the cabs.
That's a one o'clock, three o'clock mountain, two o'clock Pacific.
If my time changes are correct.
That's a Sunday game, excuse me.
Go get them, boys.
Have some fun.
And Euro starts today.
1 p.m. Scotland, Germany.
Germans.
Heavy favorites in the.
this one today.
It's called plus 900, if you like the underdog.
Do you?
They got a lot of fight, Dean.
Shout out to the Oketocke's dogs.
They win again yesterday.
Is that good?
Well, yeah, but like everyone's going to win a game here.
There.
How about a 12 and 1 start to the season, Dino?
How about it?
Boko.
And you know what this weekend is because it's a special holiday thing.
Um, not Mother's Day, but for, um, Frim, uh, Flint, um, Flamph.
Remates day.
Something.
Yeah.
That's always a big one there.
Do we know, have, have plans been made in our, uh,
scientifically proven to be the most overlooked day?
It is.
Yeah.
We're looking for some gender equality here.
Father's Day is getting underrepresented.
Yeah.
Some BS.
I hate to report the facts.
But that's all we're here to do.
It's not an opinion show.
All right.
Let's move to dumb shit.
You like rope swings?
I can't wait for my new mug, though.
I'm sure it'll be great.
World's number one, dad.
Yep.
Best that ever.
You know what you need is a rope swing
for the finger legs.
That place you buy.
Check this out.
That's an absolute.
My shoulders would just,
the arms would still be attached.
It's a good dismount for sure.
You got a twist in there.
impressive stuff very impressive
the algorithm
likes cliff jumping I don't know why
I keep getting them
let's take a look
that's like
two
a little front seat
there at
34 meters someone was noting
that's
that's like three
Lindsay Park
that does not look like the position
you want to be in
no I keep waiting
for him to straighten out and it's like that's full belly fall position he just has to eat it as
he basically goes knees and elbows to lead. Oof. Big splash. It's not a cannonball either. No,
poor technique. It's going to be red all over. Jack knife maybe from there. Not the best landing,
you'd say, right? Not the best. That's kind of a topic today. We got to, this guy looks like he's
got an e-bike and he's going to rip this little berm and hop the fence. He knows he's in trouble. Oh my God.
God.
Oh my God.
Oh my God.
Yeah.
Didn't stick the landing either.
I thought maybe we'd look down and see a forearm at a 90 degree angle or something.
No, we added that up for you, Dean.
We wouldn't need to you.
Yeah, you're welcome.
Now, this is more your speed, Dino.
It's a moped.
And you can just zip around, not spend as much on fuel.
And, oh, my God, Dean.
What number did you get put in your back for the game last night?
Whoa.
It's kind of tough to see, but yeah, okay.
Is that a cashmere sweat?
No, that it was a tattoo.
I thought, yeah, I thought of you had a full wrap going.
He is fully wrapped.
Whoa.
She's not exactly hanging on for dear life there either.
Not follically challenged.
That's like Rhett's upper lip, but his whole back.
Do you think they were shaving numbers into people's backs last night up there?
Oh, yeah.
They're going to have free tattoos the other day, oil drops.
Ew.
It was right.
A big golf day tomorrow.
Some of the fellows getting some reps in at the range.
Guys playing some early 18s.
I got to get under here.
Just fine.
Camera guy saw that coming, hey?
Rett more parkour for you.
Everyone loves parkour.
They only land it.
That's the thing I've noticed about these videos too.
You never go viral with a miss.
Front flip.
See, he landed it right on his feet.
You did.
How do you know that's not what he was intending to do?
So I'm going to land on the fence and then do the cartwheel and then stick it.
So some inspiring stuff out there.
Remember those old posters?
Be like, you miss 100% of the shots you don't take.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Cheetah wakes up every day and has to chase for its dinner.
Courage.
You wear the footprints on the sand.
Yeah, it's all that.
And there's like a sunset picture or some dog shit.
But here's a video that lets you know, no matter who you are, it's never too late to be what you want to be.
He's an elk.
So there's a donkey named Diesel who has joined a pack of elk.
He's just one of the elk now.
Look at this.
For years, apparently.
It's one of the fellas.
The elk are like, yeah, you don't look like that's your welcome here, though.
That's fine.
Those donkeys good to have, bro.
They keep the cougars away.
That's right.
Those elk cults.
They'll just brainwash you.
There they go.
Next thing you know, there you are.
I just hope to use that.
Come home.
Diesel.
These are my people.
I can be myself here.
I'm living my true best self.
Okay, Diesel.
You go be an elk, buddy.
Okay, Diesel.
You ever find a bear in your kitchen, Dean?
Security guard heard something moving in the kitchen.
The chef?
I don't like the chef.
ishing dishes and ceiling.
Tossed.
Big bear.
You get on the hind legs and you're like, oh, that's large.
Now, who would win in a fight, Dean, if you had, let's say, a gator against a bear?
Luckily, a bear was in Florida and trying to swim across a bit of a creek here.
We get to find out.
Alligator coming to say hi.
Bears doing okay.
Can we look at that on the video?
Go for route to.
go for round two.
We ever seen this before?
Is that the only setting ever
of a bear fighting an alligator?
Man, Florida.
I think it would be a rare occurrence.
It's kind of neat
because the Pender Report
we're getting a lot of bears lately
and the gators been there forever.
Finally got to
get together.
Elk, donkeys, bears, gators.
We got it all.
That's your Friday Pinda Report,
Rhett, and you're looking really sharp
with that T-shirt.
That T-shirt.
It's a last minute edition.
I wasn't sure, but.
It's a day to celebrate.
It's Friday.
It's hot here.
Is it?
Can you guys hear me?
Yeah, what's going on over there?
I don't have, I don't know what happened.
You just want the way.
I thought you shut things off and maybe,
I don't even make you watching when he, like,
octopus's heads or turtles on me?
Do you want Dorn or do you want mystery bucks?
I love Dorn.
He's my favorite.
It's a good boy.
And you love dogs.
I do.
Yeah.
So that's your Pinderport on a Friday, Dean.
I hope you got to see the bear and the gators.
Jack, do you know what happened?
It's just your camera's off.
Yeah, but it's on.
I'm looking on.
I'm looking over here.
Oh, you know what?
Well, hang on.
This happened in studio.
He'd boycott the fucking thing forever.
There is.
There you go.
I'm right here, guys.
I didn't go anywhere.
Buttons.
Yeah.
No, I didn't even touch it,
but I don't know what happened there.
Very, very odd.
Now, what I did do is I did delete some,
uh, someone from the chat who's being very salty.
Oh, no.
What was the problem?
Uh, an oiler fan, oddly enough, uh, salty today.
Yeah.
Pissy.
Not taking the Stuart Skinner approach.
Not happy to be on the ride.
No, no, no, no.
He was very pissy and a hundred games ago.
Yeah.
If they'd have asked,
would you take a Stanley Cup finals appearance and be down three nothing or not?
or just pack it in.
Oh, yeah, you would.
Yeah, he would.
You're going to take it.
He lost in the NHL.
Lost to San Jose.
So fucking take it and shut up.
Yeah, that's what he said.
That's what I said to him.
And then gave him the heap hole.
And then my camera turned off.
So jokes on me, I guess.
That's the,
maybe their computer whizzes.
And once he got into the take control of their computer.
Maybe they're sifting and skimming all my,
my winnings out of my,
my Bentley account.
That's the village Honda.
Pinder report.
Huge selection of used vehicles,
all makes, all models, all budgets,
90 units on site,
500 more in the dealership group.
I don't know what you.
I don't like wasting time.
Hey,
let's do,
let's just take a bunch of our time,
which is precious,
and let's just waste it,
driving around all over the city.
And why?
Just go to Village Honda.
Straight to Village Honda.
Tell them what you're after.
They find it for you.
Give you a whiz-bang deal.
Happy, happy.
Then you can go home and waste time on your couch.
That's where you're really,
go home and spend time the way you'd rather spend it.
That's doing whatever else.
Whatever you want to.
Northwest Automalt Village Honda,
village Honda.com.
There'll be a vehicle with a bow on it from Village Honda for Father's Day.
Is that?
I'm sure.
In the cards.
Yeah.
Yeah, I'm sure that's what it's going to be.
I'll be a little disappointed if there isn't, to be fair.
Yeah.
Yeah, I think they probably, that's the issue with Village Honda right now is you may even have
to kind of set up a point.
to get in there.
Those big bows, they take a ball at space.
So much space.
Yeah.
So much space.
Can I get one with a bow?
Yeah, we've got the bows.
Okay.
I'll do the both.
I want to tell you,
tell you guys about be aroused.ca.
Oh.
Yes.
Aroused.
Optimize your sexual function.
Speaking of dads.
Wink, wink,
nudge, nudge.
Is it?
The mod medical clinic.
no laughing matter.
Optimize your sexual function,
medical therapies to optimize your life
in the bedroom and the bathroom.
For those popping the blue pill,
it's no shame,
but if you did consider a non-medication approach
called Viassure.
Viashure works on muscle function,
breaks down scar tissue,
and reforms blood vessels in the penis.
No pain, no downtime,
and covered under extended health benefits.
Oh.
Combined with pelvic floor physiotherapy,
Aroused team will help men with incontinence,
sexual performance, hip and lower back pain,
assist in stabilization of the core to optimize mobility.
This is more than just, you know,
this is more than just one thing in your life.
This is life changing.
Be aroused.c.a is the website.
For, you know, you'll find,
you get into it, go to the,
I would say just go to the,
website. There's videos of how things work, what it is, why it's safe, why this is the new way of
doing things for men that are, you know, 40 or over. It doesn't even, I mean, it could be
under 40. There are some side effects that'll be listed out for you there. But it's time to
take back the, uh, the spontaneity in your love life and in the bedroom with via sure.
But the website again, to check things out, be aroused.ca. Lots there.
Lots there for you.
All kinds of information.
Get some of that going.
Then you get your self-esteem going.
You get your confidence back.
Feeling good and you're feeling great.
Austin Powers.
Get your mojo.
That's right.
Don't lose your mojo.
Get that mojo back, baby.
Yeah, baby.
That's right.
That's right.
What's up for the weekend aside from, of course, the huge, no, no doubt the huge plans
that people have made for us all on Sunday.
Well, I'm going to rest up tonight, get to bed,
early because of the Oilers Panthers game tomorrow night.
Like that's.
Yeah.
Circled and dotted and exclamations.
And then.
Taking a kid.
To Edmonton?
Yeah.
I'm kidding.
I told him game five, but it doesn't happen.
Yeah.
It's tough.
The fuck kid.
And then I'm sure on Sunday.
All kinds of great dreams will come true.
I'm sure that Sunday will be.
Sunday
yeah
I have to coach
Rob Ray's an idiot
I have to coach hockey this weekend also
do you
hockey's still going on
it's your passionate no it's not
it doesn't end apparently that's
that's kind of the point
you should be coached baseball
I actually think I have to pick up
my kid from school today
to get to hockey on time
So I really shouldn't be chirping.
Well, it's not chirping.
It's the stupidity of parenting and sport.
It's mid-June.
Yeah.
Vital.
They're on the ice.
What the age.
Vital.
I'd ask you, Pinder, but it's, I know it's golfing and drink.
Golfing and soccer.
The hot dog.
It's a big tournament.
It's the first major.
You're surging.
You didn't even mention that there was a golf tournament this weekend.
Like the U.S. Open?
or the hot dog?
At Pinehurst.
Sure it's not at Terry Pines?
No, I'm not sure.
Torrey Pines.
Why would you say that?
Winners against Buns.
Bonds, big win last year,
so we'll look to make it two in a row.
You're dying to, you've brought up the hot dog.
Do you mean the hot dog?
What about the hot dog?
The hot dog?
The U.S. Open to the Hot Dog.
Like, you're just dying to get into it.
It's because I know it bugs you.
It's perfect.
It does.
And you do it every year.
Stupid.
I got some buddies.
I got a buddy in Sri Lanka who,
He started a banking firm over there.
He's a good buddy of mine.
I don't know anyone's playing the hot dog.
I'm there in front of town for the hot dog.
The weaners versus the buns.
Are you a bun or a wiener?
The buns, big men for the buns last year.
We're buns.
Good luck, Ryan.
Do you have a golf though?
I haven't seen a club.
And it's going to be like 12 degrees in raining.
You'll be happy for rain.
Is it?
I will be.
When's the weather turning?
Really?
It's a nice thing.
Well, I don't.
know the people of the pro shopper say
no no our our satellite
looks like this
really
is what they're saying out there
seeing like five degrees in rain all night
I don't know
36 is a lot
it's like the whole fucking day
when there's a cloud and like blue things
dropping from it does that mean
sunshine
race I don't know
because it looks like there's about 45%
chance of these white things
with blue things coming from them
yeah there was a chance of a foot of white
things about a week ago
That was horrifying.
That was 22 for a while and then it was 14 and it's just going to end up in the
metal probably.
We get a bit of everything.
There you go.
Let's do the Betway bets.
Set the responsible way with Betway.
Of course,
make sure you're not in Ontario.
This is anything we,
anything we give to you about Betway,
available outside of Ontario is what it comes down to.
But if you create a new account,
if you've been holding off,
you haven't done it yet.
Scan the QR code on the screen.
you'll redeem a nice little bonus when you create that new account.
You'll go place a bet.
If you lose, you'll get a refund of up to $200 back.
You can then use that again to go in and bet on your favorite sports.
No minimum amount required is how that works.
What do we got?
All right, big game in Colonna feature game between Vancouver FC and Cavalry FC.
We'll take Cavalry, not Calgary, to win just straight up.
There's your win, plus 160.
And Germany Scotland kicks off Euro today.
It's an all footy edition of the Betway bets of the day.
We're going to take Germany to win three nothing.
It's a very specific score,
but it's also a very specifically large number.
We're going big game hunting a plus 600 for the Germans.
The Germans.
They're good.
There's you go.
You can use the Pinder Bits.
You can do the bets on your whatever, whatever you want to do.
Yeah.
Go on your own, if you'd like.
But that QR code, and you don't even need to use a QR code,
I suppose, if you don't want to.
But it is a nice little bonus for you.
A free bet.
up to 200 if that first bet loses when you create a new account with our buddies from
Betway only available outside of Ontario.
Yeah, if you don't like free money, you don't need to do the QR code at all.
It's only if you like free money.
So yesterday we were talking about it.
The Florida Panthers, they were, they were good value yesterday then.
Yep.
Because we were kind of surprised a little bit.
At some point in favor.
Yeah, early in the morning, I think they're plus 196 for a regulation win.
that's
wow big number
item at plus
265 minus one and a half
stinking like go get out of here
yeah yeah yeah
but they were considerable dogs
for a team that's looked pretty darn in control
there you have it
well
appreciate everybody
except for that one salty guy he was in there
he was not being nice to Kim
he was making rude
references to Kim
hey nice to Kim
yeah
Grumpy Euler fan came in here and just started insulting and doing that sort of thing.
So everyone but him.
I hope you have a great weekend.
Thanks for being a part of him.
So short shows in short week next week.
Is that what we're talking about?
Like I was even thinking today would be maybe a day we could, but a big game to talk about.
Big game tonight.
We'll talk about it.
Yeah.
The 88's in action tonight.
Button.
See you, buddies.
