I mean, Vegas,

So what we were hoping for.
I got to say,
I said it on after burner because I was working.

I can see where people say he is too short
because there are plays that happen
that with a bigger goalie,
they would actually hit him.

But the point I'm getting at is that
it's neither here nor there for good or bad
as long as he plays,

if he's playing good and winning,
but it's a different style of game.

And I think you're going to get used to be the John Sebastian

You watch it and be like, oh, that's, geez, that should be covered or caught or this

But we're just used to seeing these monsters, right?
Like Bladar and Markstrom are 6-7 and 6-6.
They look like NBA guys.

When they bend over, the lower back is touching the crossbar.
Like that isn't Wolf.
He looks smaller because he is.
But it's the same sport and the same size nets as all the leagues he's been player
in when he was competing against these massive goalies that he was better than.
So this is the only league.
He hasn't looked like a mega stud.
And, you know, let's hope he does.
It would be continuing the pattern of proving people wrong and two good starts
now in a row.
The other thing is, too, watching him play the position,
because he's smaller, when he goes side to side, right?
It's like you're watching a different,
obviously such a different style,
because certainly with Markstrom and Vladar,
they barely move to go.
They're deeper too, right?
When they're in their butterfly,
it's just a small push to get from one post to the other.
And for Wolf,
he's swinging back and forth.
He has to play further out,
to Brett's point about the angles.
And that means you have to be much more athletic
because to your point,
laterally, you have to go further
if you're another foot off the top of the crease.

What a pain in the ass this kid is for the goalie coaches.

which was a horrendous game.

can't do it. Too young, too soon. Doesn't matter if he's young. He'll never do it. All of that.
Now it's a, I don't know how much we learned in the three, say, third period, but in back-to-back
starts, he's looked very capable. And I tend to lean towards the last two games as opposed to a
six three loss to San Jose. Maybe that's just, he was shit in front of him.
Homerism, but it's called recency bias. It is maybe recency bias. Yeah, the sample's growing to and that's
important. I don't think he played anywhere near his best hockey in those six games. I think last
year against San Jose meaningless last game of the year. Like, what do we really weigh in in that?
But, you know, these last two games have been teams that could be relatively hungry. I mean,
Vegas is playing to get out a wild card too. That's a big win for him. So my question is,
and you guys talked about it on Friday show after the Vegas win, and now we're talking about it
after the Montreal win, Wolf has been impressive. Is anybody
talking about Jacob Markstrom.
When's Markstrom going to be back?
Is he healthy?
What's the status he's day to day?
When's he back?
Is he coming back?
Is there any of that conversation happening?
Because Wolf will start tonight against Washington.
Rightfully so.
And if you're rightfully so, and this is great, want to see him again.
