Hello, all you barn dwellers.
Welcome to the program, to the pod.
Wednesday, January the 10th, as we are here together, separately together, together forever.
Rick Astley, together forever.
I hope not.
Did all his songs sound the same?
No, he's brilliant.
There were a ton of them.
Maybe that was his brilliance, but it was just one sort of style of brilliance.
still a banger though never going to give you up
booh
where you guys went like getting Rick rolled is a thing
where Fridays people were saying early 90s
please click this link
for the meeting this afternoon you just got Rick rolled
never gonna never gonna
and the thing about that is it's you're supposed to be hey I got
you go ahead and get me you can Rick roll the shit out of me
I'd be the happy I'm the happiest guy going I got
oh turn it off turn it quick quick
turn it off no let that bugger
roll.
And if we're going to
hurry out
week.
That was
the
Bow Valley
would it be
Bow Valley
Adam Tier 3
ESO minor
hockey champions
song.
That was like
the blues
Gloria.
That's what paved
the way for you guys.
Absolutely.
Love it.
Play Gloria.
Yeah.
You need those things
for sure.
What if
because the Leafs
had the
Hall of notes for
their goal song.
imagine if somebody took the Rick roll, the Rick
Astley, never going to
keep me up as their goal song?
I feel like it's just to see if it works.
Almost enough time has passed that that could happen.
Doesn't Skinner have a good goal song?
Jeff?
Tom?
Stewart or any other?
Mule?
I think it's a
there was a movie about a Whitney Houston
Houston song.
Oh, really.
Simply the best. I like that song.
That's that's Tina Turner.
And you know what?
Everyone best be on their behavior because you don't want to go sit outside today.
Because it's gotten, it's gotten cold in Calgary retro.
Is it Chris?
If you get booted outside today.
Could you just for the sake of our audience watching on YouTube, just open your phone and look at the weather in Calgary and we just want to see your face.
Just look at the forecast.
Here we got coming.
I talked to DUG today.
He said it was cold in Sask.
Yeah.
Yeah, I wonder if it's like a, is it a prairie wide polar?
Is it a polar vortex?
Oh, PV.
Watch out for those.
It's not good.
No, it's not good.
Is there wind as well?
Like, is there a nice brisk breeze to go with?
Enough to piss you off.
Yeah.
Jack was looking at it.
The real wind is actually in Buffalo this weekend where the Steelers fans are smiling
ear to ear.
Jack, what was the forecast for wins for that Steelers bills game?
50?
Yeah.
Why do you think?
wins.
What's so, why, why is that a, yeah, why is that a benefit for the Steelers, Jack?
Oh, John, he turns the ball over.
Oh, okay.
They had the, which teams more comfy running the ball.
And have the ball off to James Cook and run it down his throat.
Leonard, or that.
Playoff Lenny.
I saw a stat this morning on Good Morning football, and I believe I have it right.
I should have written it down that the, uh, the Steelers without T.
T.J. Watt
since whatever to 2018,
2019, are something
to the tune of 1 and 17.
Oh. Without him in the lineup.
Now, I might be slightly off in those numbers, but all
you need to know, Jack, is
it's not great when he's out for the
Steelers as far as their win-loss probabilities.
Yeah, it's not good. I think you're right on that.
Yeah. And when you fly in, you're going to be bouncing around.
You're cheering for that wind now, but when you're
above Lake Erie trying to land that.
Popsicle stick.
You're going to, it's not going to be good.
When you drop 25 feet under the tarmac at 300 kilometers an hour,
that's not going to be as funny, Jack.
When do you fly, Jack?
When are you leaving?
Early Sunday morning, I think.
Wow.
Wow.
Nice.
Which airport are you landing at?
Because Reton Easton know where to pick you up.
Buffalo International.
Is that?
Yeah.
Hamilton?
Hamilton.
It's easier.
Well, if you get Tuflow, even better.
Lemousine.
If you get a hammer, I might not pick you up.
If you're going to hammer, then I'll have to come.
Get in the limo.
Red will meet you at the sundowner.
The rest of your weekend is set.
Take your passport, Jack.
Not everyone does.
Or they'll go to the airport and forget it at home and then have to go back and get it.
Did I ever tell you the story when I was playing here,
and my brother and his buddies came down, and one of them was a farmer from
Saskatchewan?
And they landed in Toronto.
And so I don't know if we were playing, but I sent a limo and to pick them up in Toronto.
One of those fancy Hummer limos, too, by the way.
Wow.
Big timers.
Anyway, so they landed Toronto in this stupid farmer, Bart Holt.
He gets off the plane and he, and the one of the guys on the plane was the ag minister, the Canadian ag minister.
Mm-hmm.
So he's, he feels like any good farmer.
got to express his, hey, how you doing?
You know, things are up around.
You know, you got to start doing some stuff for us and, you know,
kind of giving them the old farmer song and dance and the whiny bullshit.
So he's bitching about everything and how shitty it is to be a farmer.
And as he's standing there outside with this, the ag minister, the stretch limo pulls up.
Yeah.
We are really struggling right now, minister.
You wouldn't believe the hardships.
Oh, yeah, this is my limo.
You got to hear our voice, you know, when you go to Ottawa,
you got to speak up for us because we're barely making it.
I'm sorry, I just check my Rolex.
Yeah, Limel will be here in five minutes.
Yeah, they upgraded me.
I had a lot of points.
So this is supposed to be a compact car.
Yeah.
Sure.
Well, I'll say, you know, it's bad timing.
It's my screen all.
No.
Muck on my camera.
Yeah, you got some gravy on your screen for sure.
All right.
It's not helping either.
coming in there.
So we had a little something there,
came up on the screen.
It said,
Pinder,
take off the lid.
Let's see the hack job from Matt.
That was our hats.
What are you talking about?
No,
we saw some,
we saw,
there was some footage,
there was some photographic evidence
that you were at a barber of some sort,
that there was hair leaving your head or something.
Brutus's shop?
Where are we going,
fellas?
Where are we going?
We got a triple.
coming up. Well, we're going to Phoenix.
Leave tomorrow. Yep.
Why are we going to Phoenix? And then we're going to watch the,
the flames play the Arizona Coyotes. Yeah.
Yeah. And where do they play?
They play in a small little arena. Oh, please.
It's, uh, actually, it's right by the campus. Yeah.
Of, uh, Arizona State. It's, it's the Mullet arena.
Oh, yes. Oh, yes. I love it.
We are ready to rock the mullet tomorrow.
I love it.
How nails is this?
Look at this.
If that doesn't say business in the front party in the back,
if this isn't the most beautiful Tennessee top hat you've ever seen,
you shut your mouth.
What a commitment by you.
That is.
And I was going to bring it up because you had been saying,
I got to have a mullet for the mullet.
When we go to the mullet area,
I got to have the mullet going.
And it had gone quiet for the last little bit.
So I was going to say, were you not going to do the mullet?
I should have had more faith in you.
I said, we sell this thing out.
I'm shaved my head into a mullet for mullet arena.
I like the, there'll be quite an entourage.
The shaved part, which it goes from hair to shaved, then back into the fuzzy part of the beard.
We're going to get the beard trimmed.
This is half done.
So part two of the makeover today.
Wow.
This took a while.
This might sound weird, but I want to get a tattoo of you right now.
I want to get a tattoo.
We need an artist before that momentum slows.
We got to get this done immediately.
Yeah.
Can we door dash you?
Are those tattoo artists?
Are those NFTs?
Are they still a thing?
Because I feel like you could be a very valuable one right now.
Yeah, one of those chimp.
Chimp with the monkey.
That's me.
And the glasses are a great fit.
It's perfect.
The Wolverine lefties are mine now.
They're mine.
So, did the home front know that this was happening, or was it a surprise?
She was getting sassy about the hair is too gross.
And I'm like, yeah, it's gross.
It's been like three years.
Of course, it's gross.
You want a haircut?
I'll get your haircut.
I'll get your haircut this week.
Get your haircut real good.
I actually have a video.
I should probably send Jack.
She, he's like, okay.
Ha, ha, ha, ha.
When does it come off?
I'm like, well, we got this, the thing is, is like, we got this Jasper Pondock
tournament.
week. And then we're doing this big show in Toronto. I mean, it's a busy month. I don't
have had time to ram in another head for a while. That shit's expensive. Tight for time, babe.
We got kids and trips and stuff. I don't know what to tell you. That is spectacular.
Well, thank you. And big shoutouts to my boy, Ty Peterson, who is the greatest. He was very excited
about this project and equally as proud as I am. Remember when you were one of the traveling
yager's and you had the wig.
It looks like you're wearing that wig.
I don't need the wig, boys.
I'm bringing my Yager 68 jersey. That's it.
Confirm. Great idea.
Oh, see, if anybody doubts
our commitment to what it is that we do,
that's right. Then go, you know what?
They should go sit outside. You know,
we don't wake up at six to go to the coal mine, but we work.
That's right. Dedication of the show is unparalleled.
It's unbelievable.
Unbelievable.
So are you coming, Rhett?
Yeah.
We'll see you there at some point.
I was supposed to be on a plane right now,
but you guys gave me shit,
so now I have to leave.
I don't think we gave you shit.
We asked for clarification
on why you would be leaving Wednesday.
That's all.
I don't know how flights work in Buffalo,
to be fair.
I may have mixed the days up,
but that's fine.
That's all right.
That's all right.
Are we going to Vegas after?
If you want to.
Softly cold.
here, hey? Really good.
Yeah. On Saturday, Sunday
too, and we were supposed to fly back.
And nice again soon after that. Like, we're,
we're picking a nice trough to leave, but we kind of got the tip and the tail of it.
Yeah, almost coming back too soon. Too soon. Too much.
Too many.
And people don't care. If you're not in Calgary,
you don't like, you know what, Ozzy Brad? He doesn't care about how cold it is.
No. But we're into the minus 20s. And then the highs,
minus 27, minus 29.
Then by Monday, we're back around to minus 12 or so.
Those are highs.
I can tell you what it does.
They might not care, but it makes them feel good about their life choices.
When it's that cold and you're not there, it's kind of like, yeah.
That's right.
I'm not enjoying that.
And I'm glad to.
Because they have hotel rooms in Vegas, right?
I don't know.
Is it a hard weekend?
It might be a little bit.
this year in Vegas. I don't know the ebbs and flows of Vegas as well as you, Dino.
Isn't there a big, isn't this usually when you go to your convention?
You have big techie geek. It is. The CES show, yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Well, you know what, though we maybe have to call in a favor because we saw in the broadcast last night.
The flames dads are going on this trip. Maybe they've got an extra room or two kicking around.
Maybe you can use that sway of the, uh, funny thing is we are old enough now.
We're all dads. We're all dads. We're dads. Yeah. We're dads. Yeah.
messed up high fives in a suite. We're great at that.
That's right. Yeah, spill some drinks
on ourselves.
Look a little bit uncool. How about
Dusty Coleman? That's a great handle right there.
Got some screen time.
Oh, Dusty. He looks like an old cowboy.
He should be up here for Stampede.
Let that guy marshal the thing.
Yeah. And you know what, Rhett for
you and I, I guess even for Ryan,
if we had messed up in high school,
we really could be in that suite.
It's not.
Oh, you don't even have to be in high school.
school. So if kids are 21, 22, carry the nine. Like your kids already out of the house and you could
have had them earlier than that. Yep. For sure. Right? Like, like, I could have,
Wilms kids are, Christ, they'd be through the NHL. He started so, so, so he's a guy. I guess
could be done their entry level. You guys could be back nine for agents. Unreal. No,
not the case. Not the case. You know what we're going to do right now? I thought of a, of a, of a new
little segment we could do after a game day.
It's for McLeod Law because you know, we love our buddies at McLeod Law.
Oh, yeah.
Peter Klein is coming on this trip, right?
To see nobody's getting into.
We need a lawyer.
We do need a lawyer.
We need a little lawyer.
And Peter came through.
He's the personal injury guy with Pinder.
That's good because you never know when somebody's going to get speared like Goldberg
and break a few ribs.
Can happen.
Slop for you out there on those bowling lines.
Once you get past that line.
Yeah, and then you can't go to work.
You need that disability insurance to come through.
And then if they're going to give you the raw deal,
then you need a guy like Peter Klein on board.
He'll get you the disability benefits that you paid for and you deserve.
But you know what we can do right now for McLeod law.
It's a little kind of a legal thing.
Flames played last night, big game, six three win.
Time for our opening statements for McLeod law.
So are we, I guess, question number one,
are we happy with this victory?
At what point when?
Because we're going to have to pick a horse
at some point.
We want wins or we want losses.
And the wins are good or the wins are bad or something.
Because we're at the halfway point now.
What are we doing here as far as being happy or you guys?
I'm not happy.
I'm happy.
I don't have to bitch about the team not competing,
but I'm not happy about garnering more points.
It's a delicate tight wire.
It's not delicate.
I don't want points.
I want a top.
I get that easy a top five preferably where I don't want to I'm not walking a tight rope this is what I want
yeah I agree uh from our perspective it's very easy it's much harder in the organization because you
cannot allow losing culture to seep in and I love how hard they've worked um but yeah I mean this is
about something they haven't been able to do in a decade and that's get a high pick and find a number
one center and a franchise player they don't have a franchise player the only guy they got is marks you
we're building a case to get him out of here he's so valuable well and i thought about this because
we talked about it last night i'm getting more and more convinced i need to know what wolf is
yeah at this level because i don't give a shit if the wranglers i mean i was going to say because i
saw i pitch the shutout or whatever the other night and it's that's well and good yeah we're
happy that you're doing well in the a but because it's like i said it to pinder last night i said
if Wolf is what he's supposed to be,
you're halfway to fixing your problems
on this rebuild, redo,
whatever the hell you want to call it.
There's a common thread with all these rebuilds
that take over a decade.
They never get a goalie.
The goaltender is the soft spot.
So if your goaltending hole is filled already,
this rebuild is,
you're back in business a lot faster.
Look at Edmonton, look at Ottawa,
look at Buffalo. They've struggled for net mining
and it prolongs this thing.
If he's going to be an ace, that changes everything.
And if he's going to be the typical trajectory,
which is it takes a while to find your footing in the league,
you got to back up for a while,
then you step into the starters roll five years later.
Well, then it doesn't.
And even the guy doesn't have to,
you don't have to be putting him in the rafters
at the end of his career.
Can you give solid goaltending?
Can you, can you not post your team wins?
But it's hard to do for young players, right?
We rarely see it.
Like Spencer Knight was the same draft class.
He came to the NHL,
way sooner. He gone.
And he might be all right.
And same with Carter Hart might be all right.
We've been talking about it for six, seven years.
And Devin Levi might be all right.
But he's up and down.
You need to find out.
And I'm like, now,
I want him to play every,
and it'll be,
it's impossible to do because they'll never do it because
Markstrom's playing too well.
But you need to play Wolf for a month straight and find out what he is.
Can I trade Markstrom or not?
Yeah.
It's,
Kent Wilson wrote a piece in the
Herald today that basically says
this is the best time to trade Jacob Markstrom, period.
And it's like, when has he played better
and when have there been more contenders
that are desperate for a goalie?
It's Carolina, it's Jersey, it's Toronto,
maybe it's L.A. who've blown a couple leads
their last two games and lost.
Why can't he play good next year and trade him again then?
Well, why didn't he play well last year?
I don't know.
You know he's good right now.
That's what you know.
You don't know what he is next year.
I think the point is a good one because, and I think we talked about it with noodles or whoever it was with Drex.
You're getting potentially three playoff runs with this guy.
And if the flames are going to eat money, which I do believe that they would for the right deal.
And his play is, it's as good as we've seen him.
And you're right.
So yeah, could it be the same next year?
It could.
But in terms of to this point and where this team is where we think they're headed,
he's far more valuable than Lindholm or Hannafen or any of them.
My caution to that is, well, it's because I'm close to it because here in Buffalo,
they didn't get a legit goaltender and they tried to hand it off to the young kid and they're not ready yet.
So I'll give you a solution.
Trademarks from for the pile of coins.
Go sign a veteran goaltender to a one-year deal next year if that helps you sleep better and just cut your loss with the letter.
Make them play in the A if he wants to.
I'm fine with it.
And I'm fine with it.
And if you're committing to stuff,
but again, if Wolf doesn't turn into,
Wolf is the deciding factor in all of this.
This is a long opening statement.
But Wolf, to me, is the deciding factor in all of this.
Because if Wolf is not what we were expecting,
and we dump Markstrom and we go with all these picks and young kids,
you can be real good.
Ottawa is a great example.
Lots of talented kids, this,
that. If your goaltender is no good, you're going to struggle.
So what are, what are expectations? What's fair to expect from Dustin Wolf?
If he, let's say he comes up at the deadline and plays for a month. What's a reasonable
expectation? I don't, what do you mean? As far as wins, losses, numbers.
Well, you just said if he is what we expect him to be. And I think that's, that's a great question.
I think you expect them to be plus 900, save percentage.
To be able to make more, wow, he saved a goal, then like, ooh, that shouldn't go in.
one to outweigh the other, right?
Yeah, I don't think he's got to lead them to the promised land
and be a 1.5 goals against average, but
I think there's only five, six weeks from the deadline to the end of the season.
And I get what you're saying, but if you gave him a run in the spring,
you probably know if it's, okay, this guy's ready for primetime, him and Vladar is fine,
or like, you know what, we need to bring an event for next year to help this guy.
I just, yeah, and it's, I'm fine with him.
going for it because I think he will be good.
And hanging on to Markstrom,
you know, the more I think about it, it doesn't matter anyway.
Because I think that Markstrom,
you're wasting a Vesna caliber season in Markstrom
by being a 500 team.
So what the hell difference does it make?
That's just going to make your draft picks worse.
Yeah.
And it's just two years left for him.
What's he going to achieve in two years in Calgary?
Is that what he came and signed here for?
Are they going to win cups in the next two years?
No.
And you know what you can't appreciate probably?
is how frustrating it is for some fan bases and some other teams
to have what they feel is a very good team and to be losing
because of their goaltending. I just remember when Kipper left town,
you were just so used. You never thought about goaltending whatsoever.
And it's certainly not that level now. But you know what?
Even going from Markstrom to whatever else, it becomes,
well, who's starting tonight? Is he playing well enough? Should he be playing?
You just get into that whole goaltender thing.
Where with Kippre, you were worried about everything. But, and you're right.
if if Wolf isn't the guy or isn't ready or whatever,
it could be some long nights where you're playing your balls off
and you're getting some goals,
but then backbreakers are going in.
Are you giving up three in the third when you shouldn't be?
Yeah.
Or you stumble into a Talbot season or a Rimer season.
Like there's there's always guys off the scrap.
For every team that we're belaboring this maybe a bit,
but like Ryan,
you make good points,
but for every guy that does.
have a rhyme or season that's doing decent.
There's a Corpusallo that's
sure shit. There's an area. And you can't, yeah,
you don't get five, you don't get five tries
at it. You go into the off season, okay,
if there's five goalies,
well, we got to decide which one we want and then
will he come and can we pay him and all
of that? It's, because when you look at
Corpusala or even Campbell,
you're probably going to have to go in maybe for
a year, and those guys are definitely more, but
a year longer on term than you want. Maybe you
pay a little bit more. And then what if
the guy doesn't turn out? Then you're like,
shit because remember after again after kipper left it was a ramo and yeah yeah i i think you're
you're in a spot where we understand the next two years you're not looking for you're not
signing one three or four years even two years it's just like there's probably 80 guys that are good
enough to play in the league you wait till all the highly toted guys are gone and you spin the wheel
and maybe it's like a guy like alex nadelcovich was a nobody and is playing very well for
Pittsburgh. A guy like Casey DeSmith has been very good in Vancouver that was just a guy.
Half the league is just guys that either are playing well or aren't. So you spin the wheel and you
see what you got. And maybe Vladar wants to have a good season. Who knows? But yeah, like next year's
not the year. It's like we have to go find our franchise goalie. No. Just find a vet.
Give someone that can mentor Dustin Wolf a shot here. And maybe that still is Vladar. It's been a
tough season for him.
Kind of has been.
I wonder, while we're in opening statements for,
this is quite a statement.
I'll save this for later.
I'll save this one for later.
Okay.
All right.
That's good because it's not,
the opening statements are really about,
you know,
our immediate thoughts from the game last night.
Question that I had for you.
Is,
is that line working?
Huberto, Lindholm, Sharon Govich.
Is it, it's working to some degrees.
Six points in six games for Huberto,
Sharon Govich.
already passed last year's goal total could have had three last night that play and huberto found
him on the doorstep right at the top of the top of the crease there and uh it was a great say but
there's a little it feels like there's a little something there and doesn't manjapani look
better back with his old homies that was a nice swap interesting can you can you actually rely on them
for some semi regular offense or or is it a five
or six game stretch here against maybe some weaker opponents where they're putting up numbers.
I think it's been good, but five games is probably not enough.
Yeah, and if you look at Sharon Golich, it's a nice run here.
He's over a point per game for more than a month now, I believe.
So the key's getting it done.
Lindholm's a helpful player.
I don't know that he's driving the offense so much as he's in the right spots all the time.
And if Hubert O can help him a bit, great.
I don't know if I'm there yet, but it is a nice run.
I looked this morning on Sharon Govich.
He had a goal and an assist in his first 10 games.
Yeah.
But as he was bouncing around the lineup,
had six in his first 18.
And since that was kind of a tipping point for him,
21 points in his last 23 games and was on that goal scoring,
kind of little binge that he was on there.
But he,
he's an impactful guy.
And they're all kind of making each other better,
which is what you want out of a good line.
And even Lindholm last night, that little kick play that he makes to get it to Hubert O,
who then finds Sharon Govish, I feel like we're, we forget a little bit just because of the season
that Lindholm's having and he isn't, you know, he's a free agent who doesn't want to stay and
you need him to play better as you can get more.
You do kind of forget that he's a very good hockey player, right?
It's just he's not lighting the league up and going to bring in two firsts and prospects anymore.
Colorado or Boston are much better if he slides into two C either.
like much like that's that's a great addition because again you put talent with him he scores if
you don't he's just an elite defensive centerman that's okay offensively but again like if
he could be a checking line center his whole career like he's a very good defensive player
needs to be slaughtered right dean needs to be slaughtered right slotting it's about slotting i really
like uh coner's area really really good breaking news here in here in opening opening statements
this kid is he does a lot of little things, man.
I know he gets that goal and I don't know if it's a good goal on Corpusallo or not.
It's kind of a good shot.
The heck, but it's a heck of a shot.
Yeah.
As you take a look at the at the play here.
And I'm thinking he's passing.
And isn't that one of those things, right?
When you're a rookie, you're of course passing.
I'm not taking that shot.
I don't want to.
No, no, get it to the veteran, get it to the guy who can,
no, I'm going to shoot this thing and see how it goes.
and he roofs.
Poise, poise, poise, poise, poise, poise.
He gets a goal and an assist, plus four, if you care about that, 1748 of ice, and actually
caused the turnover, if you go back and watch the winning goal from Coleman, he's got,
who kind of causes the turnover along the boards, uh, strips it from Joseph, then gets
it to Cadry to Hanofan and then Cole.
And so he just misses out on getting a point.
He was all over it last night.
There were a lot of guys who were good last night.
Obviously, you score six and,
there's going to be guys feeling good about themselves.
But I don't ever really come away.
And I guess right around Christmas or whenever it was,
Zeri had that four game stretch where he didn't have a point.
And you wonder, oh, is he kind of slowing down?
Is he cooling off?
And has been really good since then.
He's just, whether he's getting points or not,
I feel like he's, he's right into it.
You don't lose him like you lose some guys.
That line was great again.
Posposal was faltered, seven hits all over Brady Kachuk.
Everyone wanted to kill him.
I love that line.
And it's weird because you would never have in the summer
put those three names on the same napkin.
It just was not a thing.
You didn't even know if Pospital would make an NHL debut this season,
if ever.
It's just worked brilliantly those three.
It's going to be considered a steal of the draft a decade from now.
Zeri.
Look at that pike bone.
The only player in the flames with a higher plus minus than Zary is Blake Coleman.
He's having a year too.
Who's having an unbelievable year.
Who.
And one other thing, just with that, with that line and how don't you love Pospicile, to your point,
I was worried about him when he cooked that, because he got clunked somewhere there in the jaw or whatever it was.
And just because he has concussion history, you worry about him when he gets clunked like that,
but comes back. And he's another guy that just finds, and I think sometimes he's looking for it.
And sometimes he isn't. It's just, that's the mark of a good rat.
Yes.
You know, when that kind of, it just, it finds you.
Who's in the middle of it?
Well, it's pospousal.
And I don't even know if, you know, he's, he's involved.
Nazam Codry, again last night.
Is this, uh, yeah, well, there's, I'm going to get a little hippy.
A little hippie.
A little hippie into Brady could chuck.
Yeah, for sure.
I dig it.
I dig it.
But just with that line, Codry has been very good.
I just, because you know about when Zerner,
and Pospisal both came in is when he started to come to life and that line was very good.
Since October 26th, he's gone more than a game, more than one game without putting up a point only once.
If he if he's off the score sheet, he's back in.
And he may, then maybe he doesn't get something, but he's been very consistent.
He went without a point against Tampa, Minnesota.
And other than that since basically the start of the season, it's been a point or better.
And then right back after missing.
One assist in his first eight games.
It was a really slow start for Cadre.
And that's when they lost that six games.
And then the outdoor game.
And then Zeri and Pospels will come in.
31 points in 33 games since the outdoor game.
And including the outdoor game.
Since he had that incredibly heavy burden of having to pick the costume for the outdoor
context, he's sleeping better.
It's not a set design costume wardrobe guy.
He's a hockey player.
It's not his bag, man.
Yeah.
It's not his bag.
600 points last night for,
600 point plateau for Nazam Kodry.
Here's some guys playing well, Red.
Coleman's on a heater.
I don't know why you guys want to run everybody out of town.
Well, that's why I started with opening statements.
I said, we got, what are we, we got time.
They're only halfway through.
But when they go and play like they did last night,
and you see them playing with energy and emotion,
and guys are feeling good about it.
you don't want to come on here and say, hey, cut that out.
It is, it's tough.
You look at the last two games and there couldn't be an uglier loss than the one they had in Chicago.
And there might not be a funner game to have attended in the last while than that win last night.
If you were in the building in Ottawa.
What about the opponent last night?
Now, they had a lead, you may have noticed going into the third.
Lake gold in the first.
Yeah.
They're a young talented team without a goaltender.
And with no confidence.
They're fragile.
And I think they got.
they need a defense.
I was going to say watching,
I watched the highlights again this morning.
It was fairly routine,
routinely simple for the flames to get into that zone.
Yeah.
They just kind of,
we could have carried the puck,
and the flames are not that team.
There are some teams very good at hitting the line with speed
and scoring off the rush and that sort of thing.
The flames,
I don't think,
would fall into that category.
But it was not hard to play the Ottawa Senator.
It's kind of what I was trying to say,
I was a lot yesterday.
You know what I mean?
It's kind of what I was trying to say about Shabbat yesterday.
Like when you're a team that's in a rebuild and you've got nothing and you get a young player that steps in it can play.
Everyone gets so excited.
But he's not an all-star.
He's not ever going to win a Norris.
He's not a number one.
And it's like it just reminds me of the young guns there are so much here.
It's like look at all these.
Yeah, they're young and talented, but that doesn't mean they're stars.
Like there's a big difference.
That's okay.
Right.
You can have that.
But I think that's why they've been so off because they've been saying there's our one.
It's like, no, that's actually your three.
You need to find Sanderson and another guy.
Which is why Chikrin.
And you gave up Nadeh, that's to get chikrin, right?
Right?
And I think, and I think, I mean, you watch that.
Zari had a great shot, but what the, is Chikran doing?
Like, if I'm the D coach, I'm going, dude.
Like, that's, that's, that's pee-wee hockey.
We said it on Afterburner last night, Dean, there's rumblings that he might be available.
And that, that could be the second guy.
they bring in and send out in like a year
because they just did that with the brinket.
And it's like if you're losing 20 cents on every dollar
every time you make a deal,
all of a sudden the loony looks like a 50 cent piece, right?
Chikrin might fit in better here
because he's probably good enough to run a power play.
Yes.
Right?
Like everyone has to be slotted correctly, Dean.
Slotting.
Slotting. It's about slotting.
And I don't believe that Chikrin,
I don't think they've got the right
meshing of defensemen in the automobile.
Especially when your goaltenders horseship.
Yeah.
No, that's yesterday that Hamannick, you know,
the needle may not be on E,
but it's, you know, gas lights on.
The warning bell is ringing.
Yeah.
That is that the end is near.
And yeah, Branstrom has not been,
has not been a good fine for them, I don't think,
coming out of the Mark Stone deal.
God.
I think, yeah, Shabbat is, he's an NHL.
He's a good defenseman, but he's not going to carry you.
And I don't.
And I don't know, Chikrin, he was traded for one reason or another.
Generally, you take high for defensemen in high in the first round.
You're not trading them within a year or two.
He's got a bomb and is making low money.
It was very attractive.
But Arizona had a high price room and waited and waited and waited and waited,
and waited and waited and waited and waited and never really got it.
I think the consensus amongst other jams was you're overvalue in this guy.
A bit of a roller coaster.
There's lots of pluses, but there's some areas.
There's some plays that leave your head.
scratched. And I certainly
no chikrin expert, but didn't
that happen to him in the draft where he was
supposed to be like a really high
pick and he kind of dropped down? He slid a little
bit and then yeah.
Injury. Didn't he break his leg or something like that?
No, I think they were talking of
it was his his brain.
The ability to think the game
was kind of one of those things that
started to factor in.
That was the pick Detroit had.
They, I think it was Datsick or somebody's
money went to Arizona and they made a pick swap
in the first round.
And it was the kid out of Chilowack
that Detroit ended up taking Dennis Cholololoski.
That was their pick after they swapped with the Yotes.
So the Yotes basically ate bad money
and moved all the way up and took Chikera.
Chilowack was a band, right, Dean?
That's right.
Sure was, Rhett.
Spelled differently than the town, though.
I believe there was one,
there's a discrepancy between the L's.
One has two Ls like Chilalawak,
and the other one just has one.
what you're going to do when I'm gone
what you're going to do when I'm gone
what you're going to do that's not sure why is it not
I think that's all no no
now we're come on jack what are what's
now we're officially out of opening statements

She talks crazy talk.
Arms of Mary.
Arms of Mary.
My girl.
Lonesome Mary.
My girl.
What's it going to do to me?
She's going to fly at night.
Oh, fly by night.
All right.
Do you want to sign Noah Hannifan?
No.
Okay.
Is it part of a sign-in trade?
No, no, no, no.
I think I want to sign them.
Keep them here because you've got to.
have an NHL caliber team.
Again, this is, what are you paying him, right?
Well, what are we getting in return to though, then?
Let's just say, let's just, you know, it's, you know, it's, you're paying him a dollar that is,
it's a big dollar, but not that's, you're, you're, you're kind of okay with it because that's,
you're going to have to pay.
Well, what was the, what was the deal that you over eight, seven and a half, too much pass.
He's a three.
a two at best.
I'm not locking up that kind of money.
If this team's going to turn the corner in three or four years,
the best of Noah Hanofin has passed us.
I understand it makes life easier the next two years.
I do, but I just think the pile of assets you're going to get
should outweigh that.
I'm opposite you.
I say you sign them.
And if it's 60, whatever,
if you're no good in three years,
it's Noah Hannifin unmovable.
that number.
Caps going up, everybody always says.
Right?
It's just, I mean, that's the same justification to,
it's, it's, it's, it's different than Tanna, for sure.
Tenev's way different than Tanna.
You could, you could sign him and ride him out and you have a number three,
maybe a number two locked in for,
there's nothing negative about that.
Like, the only negative is the pile of assets you're not getting.
The only negatives you don't know what you're going to,
what it would have amounted.
wanted to if you did trade.
I just look at what defensemen have got.
And if it's sort of in that range of a first and two seconds or a first and a really good
young D man, like that's kind of the neighborhood of what guys like Noah have and have commanded
on the trade market.
And it's not like I'm looking at the NHL saying, yeah, there's no contenders that need D.
It's quite the opposite.
Like again, Toronto comes up.
They would love a guy that just plays 25 minutes.
Don't have to run the power play.
We got Morgan Riley.
We just need someone to give.
us 22 to 25 minutes because
Gio's old and T.J. Brody's on the back
nine. Okay. And you know,
like Morgan Riley is
not perfect to fit. Like that
they'd give you a lot.
But what's, look, again, it all comes.
Yeah, sure. If you, if you raking it in,
you can move him. But I just think that
he's movable at any time over the next
four or five years. The no trade,
no movement thing is irrelevant.
Like I just don't even
effing consider it because if
Things are so bad, you want to move someone, how often does it not work out?
Yeah, I agree.
He's going to age well.
It's just he's never going to run your power play.
So what?
I don't want him to.
And if I'm getting a 25th pick, I don't know what that's going to turn into.
So then I've got a number, even if he's only a number three playing 22 minutes a night,
if I get that for another six to eight years, that's, that's money.
Well, I'm good.
Let me blow your mind.
because you don't have to...
Not on mushrooms, so it might be hard, but...
Well, we've got to find someone we get there.
Sorry, the off-air conversation.
What we need to do is look at what the Vancouver
Connected with Bohr-Vat last year.
They said, you know what?
He's a very good player.
He's going to be good for most of the next deal.
It's not ideal for the cap.
They kind of like J.T. Miller.
They gave him the money.
They go get a first, but they don't have to wait four years
to see what that first round pick was.
They took that first, and they sent it to Detroit,
and they got Philopronic.
And that's a younger player
that they have some team control on.
And he's been a big part of really helping that blue line,
which was a sore spot for the Canucks forever.
They also have Quinn Hughes too, though, right?
They already had Quinn Hughes last five years
when they've been shitty for most of them.
But I'm comparing it to what the flames have.
The flames don't have a Quinn.
If we or Anderson, two better defensemen than Hannifton,
or at least comparable.
I just think it's not as, for me,
it's not as cut and dried.
And I,
I'm probably leaning more towards the Rett side.
The more I watch him, the more I think you really miss his 23, 24 minutes a night.
He had, obviously, he's coming off from the night last night.
But I do think he age as well.
You could give him an eight year deal.
He's going to,
he's not going to be an old man when it's done.
And we did it last night.
If you get three picks, you might be lucky to get a guy who's as good with one of them.
And who knows what the other two work out.
And like you said, that's down the road.
Now, again, if you can take that pick and spin it into.
the ironic thing has been a huge success.
It wasn't risky.
It wasn't a gamble.
He was a known quantity in the NHL.
If you think we can trade all these guys to get first,
it also means you can take your first and add guys to these calibre,
doesn't it?
You don't have to do it all at once either, though.
You're going to have no defenseman next year.
And so if you're the guy telling me you can always move Hannafin
three or four down years down the road if you need to,
then three or four years down the road,
go get a Hannafin on the trade market.
give up your first.
It's going to be in the 20s, hopefully, by the time that arrives.
And then you're getting a 24-year-old, not a 30-year-old.
You didn't put a whole lot of stock into Frank's comment on Monday.
He was just talking out of both sides of his mouth, which I thought was confusing.
Like he said, there's seven teams that could win the West, which to me tells me there's seven GMs that are looking to bolster their lineups.
And then he said, yeah, the market might not be soft.
I'm like, these guys want to win.
They get paid to win.
There's not sitting on your hands when you think you can come out of a conference.
I didn't think both those things jive.
That's all.
His point was that because it's so tight,
are we going to potentially give away a big chunk of future with
picks, prospects, young players in a year where we're in it,
but we don't know,
we don't know how we feel about our chances because it looks so wide open.
I do see both sides,
but I do think it only takes one.
I come back again.
If you can get this haul,
like you talk about all,
of these assets.
Mm-hmm.
If you can get them,
then that changes everything.
You couldn't get them at the draft when you wanted to,
and I think Hanifan's played better.
Lindholm's played worse.
You're going to move some pieces no matter,
but it might even be Markstrom.
You are like,
now you're absolutely stripping it bare.
You could have a third defenseman,
but the most important piece of all of this,
of all of this is not our brilliance.
What the fuck does Noah Hanifin want?
yeah that's a big part we're not talking right it's irrelevant you can't pay players got all the leverage oh yeah
players could have decided he's like no no i need nine uh no audio and again are are you if you're
craig conroy really keen to get back to the table and get pen on paper for a guy that twice already
this year has quabbled at the notion of committing to the city you want flames right you always say
you want guys who want to play calgary worse yet that's the i you're right but it's been a muck it's
been pretty messy around the flames organization for a year and a half now you go back to the
Dallas win lose to edmonton and then shit just goes sideways last year's a disaster i so
you're right you want guys that are there and committed but i i think from if you put yourself in
hanaffin's shoes he should have been like wait a minute whoa whoa whoa what are we go what am i
dealing with here what are we all about
out.
Right.
So if he,
if you go,
and I think it's irresponsible for Craig to go,
well,
he doesn't want to be here.
I'm not going to even bother entertaining the idea.
I think you have to go to him,
talk to him again,
and go,
okay, dude,
it's shit or get off the pot.
We're getting close to trade deadline.
What's your deal?
Are you going to sign that contract that we had?
Because you can't go backwards on that contract now.
Hanofen had it in his pocket.
So it's that or more because he's played quite well.
And I think that's,
you're going to see that in the trade market too.
Like the closer you get to the deadline, the more desperation there's going to be.
And so this is why this is such a tough question.
Like could the flames do very well on a no hand of an extension?
Absolutely.
Could they do well trading them?
Absolutely.
I mean, we just don't know what the package is going to be on March 8th for him.
And we don't know what number.
He's like, yeah, I will do it.
We don't know those things.
And you're right.
So I was just going to say, I don't care what the packages I could get.
I would keep them, but I don't know what he wants.
Yeah.
And I just kind of for the sake of conversation, you kind of strip that other stuff away.
It's just, it's that I think we're all on the same page.
Lindholm, probably he's going to have to go.
Tanev's got to go.
The Markstrom thing is intriguing.
Yeah.
But if there's a guy who his consistency age, level of play,
you could probably wrap your head around keeping.
It would be him.
And yeah, we don't know what.
Like, every situation is different,
but how many times have you seen the teams dump four guys at the trade deadline
So Markstrom, Hanif, Tanev, and Lyndon.
It won't happen.
Yeah.
Right?
Yeah.
It's almost like it's almost, it's almost too much to juggle for, right?
If you're trying to get it done at the trade deadline to even understand what's,
they should be doing it now if that's their game.
Oh, well, we were saying it was a year ago.
We were saying they couldn't come into the season with all of these UFAs.
Yeah, there's seven to be fair.
And they don't have seven now.
They have three.
But, you know, there's also an AJ Greer deal that you probably.
want to do. That's a nice little waiver claim.
Turn that into a pick. That'd be a nice move.
Or it's like, hey, AJ, do you want to stay here
on a low number and teach some kids out of play?
But they got so many forwards in the system.
I just don't know.
Like, not necessarily dynamic ones, but you want
ice time for a Klopka, for
even like a Pedersen's had a really nice
year with the Wranglers. You know Coronado
and coach. There's lots
of forwards. I just don't, you can
go find an AJ Greer and give
them a million bucks if you need one. I'd just,
I'd rather kick tires on the kids and turn them into
another pick. They've done well in the draft
the last 15 years, surprisingly.
They haven't had a lot of picks, but they've done very,
very well. And
then, yeah,
like, Hanif is the only one
that's really a tough decision, and that's why it's a good
conversation, Dean, because it can go
both ways and work very well for the team,
I think, depending on the range
of outcomes, it's like there's good in trading
them and good in keeping them.
I would focus my, again,
it's my opinion and not knowing that
none of us know the truth.
on what he wants and what you can get for him.
But I would focus on moving Lindholm and Tanev and Markstrom.
And if I can get Hanifin signed, perfect.
I don't have to think about that.
I'm not going to be upset that I've got a defenseman that can play 20 to 25 minutes.
The other variable we don't know that they'll know more about is what's their confidence
in getting a full season from Oliver Shillington because that changes things a lot.
And maybe they're not super certain on that number.
Maybe they say it's a coin toss.
maybe they're like it's 80% maybe they don't think they can.
But they know more than us is my point.
They would, but how?
How do you know that?
It came back to training camp.
I'm ready to go.
Out.
Like they could all be on the same page and under the assumption that everything's good.
But then in a week, it could be not good.
And it's no one's fault.
No, agreed.
But he's a free agent and they'll have an understanding of, okay, if this guy's feeling right,
what's our ability to re-sign them?
And I do feel like there's some loyalty to the organization.
you've seen the comments from Schillington,
that doesn't just feel like words.
That feels like he's very appreciative of the support.
I don't think they'd have any issues trying to resign him.
And I think he would resign that.
But I think to that to that end,
you almost have to operate as though.
I guess what my point would be what his status is would not affect what I'm doing with Noah
Hanof him.
And you might know more by March 8, right?
He might be playing.
And even better because I think.
And I think.
Sweden and retire.
Who knows?
All the more reason.
keep Hanifin because you've got four defensemen right there.
And like it,
we don't need to be like
if they trade all those other guys,
you're going to have you should have enough of a stockpile
to influence your future moving forward.
You don't have to wipe it clean.
So if you've got those four defensemen,
Weger, Anderson, Hanifin and Shillington,
assuming he's back and normal and playing well,
it's been two freaking years.
He might be terrible whether he wants to play or not.
But if those four are all playing the way they're supposed to,
you have a top four setup for D.
And now you work the five and six side of it.
And maybe you got a young guy or this or that.
You don't have to have nothing to go out and play in the league with.
You have to have a team.
And if you've got it, right?
Like, do you want wolf just being fed to the wolves?
Like, you want to throw wolf through the wolves?
Like, what are we talking about?
There's also, like, if you, let's say you do,
man, we got a deal.
We couldn't refuse with Tannifan.
We got to make this deal.
It's a bunch of assets.
There's always veteran guys you can sign on one year deals,
whether that's like a, like I look at Chicago.
How did they backfill?
It's like, okay, Nikita Zytev.
Not great.
He can go be a number five for you.
See, this is where, and we're all guilty of it.
Like Zach Bogosian, go find a vet that can play 14 minutes.
No, no, listen.
We all end up kind of talking.
out of both sides of our mouth.
On one hand, Noah Hannifan's worth a shitload.
He is so good.
You don't believe.
Bring on the picks of prospects.
If we don't have,
we'll go get second Bogosian or Nikita.
No,
no,
no,
I'm not saying to play the Hanifan role.
Not at all.
I'm just saying it's not like if you trade
Hanofin that all of a sudden
De Simone and Gilbert are second pair guys.
Like, no, you go to free agency.
You sign a veteran to a one-year deal.
It's not nearly as good.
You're going to get a high pick.
And in two years, you know,
someone in your system's playing in that slot.
Retro, it is hard, because I saw this, it makes me laugh.
Pinder looks like a wrestler.
It is harder to take you at face value when you look like this.
Trying to sound very smart.
I know you are.
In fairness, I think you're doing a fine job.
I think you're building a very compelling case, but it is quite something to look at.
My dedication to the show will not be questioned today.
I've never liked you more than today, Pindon.
Never.
Gorgeous and brilliant.
Thank you, Alberta, Blue Cross.
Ross. Very sportsy. How hard is it to be Craig Conroy? We just have conversations.
It's not hard. And there's no wrong decisions.
Just get that TAN of deal done right now, Craig. Get that one off the plate. Give yourself some breathing room on the other deals. Let's, they are already playing a lot of guys who aren't every day NHLers.
I know. You're not focused on wins. So that's fine. But Nick D. Simone, can you play 20?
22 minutes a night.
If you guys are worried about the inverse standings,
I got a Dan Vladar for a month for you that could change all.
Well, and I wrote it down.
And not to say that,
do you think that there is a point coming soon?
Because what is Ryan Husk judged by wins by how well the team does?
What does Craig want to do?
Well, I think honestly,
I think he'd like to trade some guys and get,
I just wonder, is there a, hey, you know who would look good tonight in that?
Dan Bladar?
Where the coach is like, yeah,
but have you seen Markstrom and how well he's playing?
I wonder if there's a, amicably,
but if there is a bit of a difference in opinion there.
And all sorts,
I'm throwing you under the,
whatever, do we have the standings, Jack,
if you could find them, can you put them up there?
And it's, it's not that big of it.
If you want those, we have those.
Okay.
So do you think there,
this is what I actually think is going on.
I think that Conroy is looking at this and going,
right we're going to go to the all-star game and that's when the decisions made are we going for it or not what do they got eight games before the all-star break yeah that's correct they go to
i guess and then six and they're off right if if they're above if they're if they if they're within striking distance of
nashville and like say they're sitting in that seattle spot yeah it might be completely different
Right, right?
Like do not think for a second that Mr.
Murray Edwards doesn't want this team to make the playoffs.
And if you're sitting right there and you're getting Vezna caliber
goal tending,
it might be the exact opposite of everything we've been preaching.
Well,
and what you want is you want the cake and you want to eat it too.
You're like, you know,
we really should do.
We should make the playoffs,
get the money and also be good by the time that new building comes up
with all these young guys we're going to get.
Like, of course we want everything.
That's, that's, uh,
I wonder if,
if,
to answer the Booms questions,
I'll,
I'll bet you Conroy is not,
going down and saying nothing to Huska right now.
And come All Star break, they're going to have a big powwow and go, can we do this?
I would think the goaltending conversation isn't about getting Vladar in at this point.
It might be like one more on a back to back.
And then if he's no good, he's clearing waivers anyway.
Get him some work in the A.
Let's see Wolf again.
I wouldn't be surprised at that at all.
And the thing about looking at those standings, because you see 41 points.
Oh, 43.
The flames have played more games than everybody around them.
Yeah, the points for sentence where you've got to focus there.
And then like you said, they're 12th in terms of points, percentage.
They're 12th in the West.
And overall, I think they're tied with Montreal and the overall standings,
eighth from the bottom.
Yeah.
And you're right.
I think in a way they have played as well as you can envision this group playing.
Is that I don't want not to overstate it?
I totally agree.
But it feels.
There's been two thinkers.
That's about it.
Yeah.
It feels like this is kind of max output in terms of results,
wins and losses with this team.
They've been healthy.
they've been engaged, things have gone the right way.
They don't get blown out.
It wouldn't even be the bottom falling out.
If you lost four or five or four of six,
then suddenly you're below Minnesota and you tumble a little,
it's as good as it's been.
It's still rather bleak in a lot of ways.
It's actually been a really good season in a lot of ways
because I think you've seen that the coaches got them working.
There is a, I think a tightening in the D zone,
especially when you consider the personnel they've had to use of late.
You're having some strong seasons from guys,
but you're also, again, you're theoretically picking eighth in the lottery tonight
and you haven't traded any UFAs yet.
They're still in range for a top five pick.
And they've been fun to watch, hardworking,
you're having some career years.
They haven't been blown out.
Like there's two bad efforts since the outdoor game in my mind.
They got thumped by Minnesota at home 5-2.
They were dog shit.
And the Sunday game in Chicago against three,
Rockford Icehogs. Those are their two bad efforts.
Every other game they've been in.
All of them. Vegas, Colorado,
Dallas twice. Like the Gaulid run,
they were in all those games except the one
with Minnesota. So we could
maybe have our cake and eat it too.
Yes. What you're saying. Have some
good hockey to watch, be engaged,
and still be
in the lottery and have a good pick.
No. There. Connie.
Jam of the air. He's into the weeds
right now. He's just lurking there.
Yeah. The question is, Sharon Gover.
which deal home run.
Home run is lurking around
there wondering what's going.
It's going to strike.
Oh, hey, Brad. How's it going in Toronto
there? Hey. Oh, I see you got
Samson off backup. Yeah. Oh, yeah.
Say, do you need any D or goalies?
Your old pal Craig can help you.
Oh, shocks, Brad.
See, you spent a lot of money on that
forward, whatever his name is. I don't know.
Expectations must be really high.
Like, what are the chance? Like, am I
an idiot? Or,
like what are they doing with marner and all these are they going to be able to keep everybody no is marner
any good anymore you don't even they said they couldn't keep all four five years ago and they've
kept them all in the caps now going up again if they want five of them now the quits the core five
no well who's the fifth davar it's a lot of guys matthews marner nielander it's the four still
but i thought was morgan riley not part of the core i thought no it was always the morgan's
ever made that much money all right not not anyway the other ones anyway anyway
It's, it's, they need D and they need goalies and they've got a lot of forward depth.
And I think they like Nealander more than Marner.
Otherwise, you don't drop that contract.
Because if you like Marner more than Nealander, what the fuck are you paying him?
Right.
Are you, do you want Mitch Marner, Redd?
Is that what you're saying?
You need high end skill at some point.
He's a very good player having a not so great year.
Is it a, is this a mullet bomb?
No, it's, I think if you look, it's just what's happening.
Yeah.
And he's due for a contract at the end of next year.
year.
Tavares has got what,
two years left.
Like,
they're going to get through this.
Having to pay superstars is a better problem than the opposite.
I'm just wondering if you're going to go get a goaltender and a defenseman.
Yeah.
That's what you need.
What are you going to give up to get them?
Like I have no idea.
First and kids.
That's all you can do, right?
But how many first and kids do you have?
All of them are on the table.
Take the flames,
for example.
Okay.
We want TAN of and Markstrom.
Yeah.
I'd say it's like,
Because that's what they need.
It's like when I was trying to trade,
I was trying to keep Monaghan and get,
who's the guy out of Columbus there?
The cake can eat it too.
Anyway,
same scenario where I'm tri-living and I'm like,
well,
if I'm going for it,
I need a goalie and a defense.
Don't go half in.
Go all in.
Like,
what do we talk to?
They do.
I think they will add both a goalie and a defenseman
unless this wall kid has a stellar second half,
but he's been injured.
And so if you're Toronto,
what are you willing to move?
It's like, okay, well, you probably like Matthew Nyes
and you probably like Nick Robertson,
but those aren't guys that are going to help you lift a cup this year
or next year necessarily relative to what they'd bring back in trade.
Your next two firsts aren't going to help you win a cup.
We want T.J. Brody and Mark Giordano.
No, we've tried that.
They were a pair.
They were supposed to go to the Olympics together.
Were they flames?
Oh, we'll give you a first for those two.
But if you're the Leafs, honestly,
if you have two firsts and one of those two kids I just mentioned
and that's on the table, what can't you get?
You should be able to solve both those problems.
Say that again?
The next two first rounders they have,
whether that's 25 and 6 or 24 and 26.
Two firsts and one of Nisor Robertson
should get you the ability to do D and goalie.
And yeah, they got to make the cap work,
but they now got Klimberg on Robita Island
and you can always use another team as a bank.
We've seen them do that last year.
Are you training Markstrom and
TANiv for that?
No.
Two firsts and one of those kids?
I don't think is Robertson even a prospect anymore?
Like he's,
no, I don't put him in the same categories, Nyes, but I do like him.
He's Tulsie.
Like, I think Nyes is a much higher prospect.
Nyes is still a bit of a prospect.
Yeah, I was going to say, I don't think they have enough in the cover to make a, uh,
that deal for March.
He's last year's first from that mucker that was kind of.
You have to, you'd have to wipe them out of
and prospects.
Which is what Pittsburgh's kind of been doing for a while, right?
And some of these other teams.
Like Boston hasn't used their first a ton.
But Boston,
they went forth to one year.
They dumped those guys and it didn't turn out.
They've done better when they don't make deals to try and add.
Well,
I mean,
one team's deal at the deadline helps them win a cup.
The other 15,
it didn't work, right?
That's kind of the numbers game on it.
Doesn't mean you weren't a better team after the deals.
Because remember Brian Burke.
It's an asset wasted, in my opinion.
Brian Burke calls Gary Bettman every year.
And Gary tells him that only one team is going to win the Stanley Cup that year.
That's a Burke bomb.
That's right.
When did that start?
I know.
1917.
Yeah, stopped becoming a challenge cup and it was awarded at the end of a season.
So why Burke went to Harvard.
Brains.
I heard that's not such a great place.
Harvard?
They've been in the news.
Let's take a look.
I had said it's up and it's alive.
It's alive on our social media.
If you go to the Instagram account,
if you go to the X account,
you're going to find our latest giveaway,
an autographed jersey,
an autographed sweater of sorts.
It was dropped off courtesy of the hearing loss clinic.
Look at it.
I don't know who that guy is,
but he signed it.
It's Bill Huberto.
Bill Huberto.
Right on the,
is you on the dad's trip?
Yeah.
So there you go.
You'll see the same post on Instagram.
Here's what you need to do.
You got to go and you got to be following Flames Nation.
You got to be following the hearing loss clinic on, on Instagram and X.
You comment on the post.
Let us know.
What kind of points?
And then in about a week's time,
we will pick one of you and make you a lovely winner.
You'll be so happy.
That's a blasty too, eh?
Nice.
Autographed Blasty.
It's the Blasty Bills.
That's Bill Hebrido, the captain right there.
Yeah, that's right.
Courtesy of our buddies over at the hearing loss clinic.
Never a better time.
We're into the new year.
You got all your benefits back, you know?
Now you can go and get your teeth cleaned and stuff again because you blew all your benefit
dough out by August of last year.
Go and get a hearing assessment done.
Go and get a checked.
You won't regret it.
Probably you've never.
done it, you've maybe never thought to do it. And the results you get could be,
uh, could be life changing for you. Have been for me. Could be for you to four Calgary
locations, soon to be five. And then of course in B.C. Cranbrook, Creston, Fernie, golden,
and in Vermeer on Twitter at the hearing loss and on Instagram at the hearing loss clinic.
Be a winner. Go get your ears checked. Even if you don't win the Bill Hubert O jersey,
you'll still be a winner if you go for an assessment at the
during loss clinic.
Are we ready, fellas?
We're on a plane tomorrow morning.
I'm not ready.
I got about a thousand things to do.
How hard is it to get ready for a two-day trip?
It's not hard, but I'm not ready.
I need to find the passport.
I need to get a bag together.
I really want to pack light.
Yeah, a couple pairs of gitch.
Yeah.
Sox and the way you go.
Extra underwear.
We heard boomer story on the Spirit Show.
always extra underwear always yeah toothbrush in the top pocket
so basically it's like three pairs of underwear two Hawaiian t-shirts
and it's like the speaker that's all I need it's like the shoveler like you go you go the
three hour road trip to play a tournament you're going to go to cleveland to play this weekend
the back of the vehicle is jammed tight like you're doing a trek through the andy's mountains
and like we might not i'm like
like it's Cleveland, right?
Like you're still in America.
The bottle water is the same.
If you need a big gulp, you can get it.
Like, where are we headed?
Yeah, the currency is the same.
They speak the same language.
In department stores like you needed a t-shirt.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, I want to be prepared.
Prepared for what?
The apocalypse?
Hey, you're a doomsdayer.
You got to respect that.
Oh, I'm building a.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Whatever it is, you're building it.
Yeah.
we are headed to Phoenix tomorrow.
We are going to be now no show tomorrow,
but we will do something on Friday.
Maybe.
Likely banged up.
Maybe.
Yep.
Maybe.
Something's hung over and drunk again.
Things happen.
Yeah.
And you need to have contingencies in place and we don't have those in place.
That's correct.
That's how that goes.
But it is.
Not for Red.
Our sold out inaugural.
barn burner vacation. Thanks to everybody who's coming along. We've been seeing some people on social
and on the chat. They're getting revved up and ready to go. And we're looking forward to it.
Some of us even got a haircut for the special occasion. That's a big day. I got a haircut,
but it's just, yes, yeah, pales in comparison. But we are jetting our way down to Arizona.
And at presentation, the barn burner vacation is of Alberta Blue Cross. Only one thing better than sharing
memories and that's making new ones, Alberta Blue Cross travel insurance.
protect your memories and more wherever travel takes you.
Visit ab.
bluecross.com slash travel for more information.
It's Alberta Blue Cross celebrating life's memorable moments inspired by hockey.
So we have a lawyer.
Yep.
And travel insurance.
That should be good.
It might not be enough on some time.
I would.
I hope we don't need.
Yeah.
But oddly,
we're very prepared for the occasion.
I saw Ryan sent out a email to the group already.
this morning.
Yeah.
We'll see at the bar.
First thing tomorrow morning.
I don't know.
Just reminding everyone.
This is your wheelhouse.
But Boomer loves hugs.
So when you meet them, just get in there and give them a big squeeze.
Just wrap right in there.
Give him a big pair of.
Boomer, I love the show.
I'm so excited.
You're welcome.
Yep.
That's what I like.
All right.
I mean,
Rhett hates hugs.
What?
Oh,
you can't.
not a hugger.
Don't hug.
Good thing.
You're there, boom.
Just send them your hugs.
Anyone come to you to hug?
Just send them right over to boom.
Sure.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's how that goes.
So yeah,
unfortunately,
I'm sure you'll survive somehow without a Thursday edition of the show.
But we'll be back with you on Friday.
Maybe.
One more thing I want to get in before the Pinda report.
Coming up in February,
because you like to make plans.
You like to be ahead of things, right?
Yeah.
uh gray eagle resort and casino one of our great sponsors they're back in it's
twenty twenty four we're keeping on rolling we'll be doing some afterburners from the stage
bar having wings having beers watching the flames and as well the event center is revved up
and i saw this a while ago and i don't know what it it kind of blipped on on my radar
but i didn't really because i went back this morning so what's going on there's always something
happened and they got a bunch of things lined up i saw corbund is coming they got a cool
80s show coming they got an everly brother's tribute thing coming
February 22nd
Warrant
and quiet riot
Cherry pie
She's my cherry pie
Put a smile on your face
10 miles wide
Looks so good bring a tear to your eye
Sweet cherry pie
Warrant
And quiet riot
Come on feel the noise
Damn
Huge banger
Big banger
That was so
If you're on the end of
edge of society if you're listening to
Quiet Riot. I've told you
this story. And this is
the truth. I would never lie
to you about this stuff.
That when I was a kid,
I wish I had my sad music because I play
it right now. When I was a kid, I was
hit by a vehicle while riding my bicycle.
God, here we're going to. I'm just telling
a story. Jack,
cut his bike. Don't cut, no, listen.
Just being away.
Listen, there's
a link to this story.
So I'm peddling my bicycle home from school.
And this hooligan, did Red Bail out?
No, but the master's music has started.
No, listen.
I'm hearing the violins.
That's what I hear.
Okay, I'll make it as quick as possible.
So I got into a car accident, it got hit, broke my leg, broke my collar, this whole thing.
And in my, and you'll appreciate it.
The only thing going on in my head was, because they're like,
we're going to have to cut off your t-shirt because with your shoulder and that,
you can't cut my shirt.
I love this.
This is my favorite shirt.
You can't cut my shirt.
It was my quiet riot.
Come on feel the noise concert t-shirt.
Not that I'd been to the concert, of course, but it had the, if you see the guy in the mask,
mental health with the, ah, and the hair of that, that was my shirt.
So they very delicately tried to go along the seam where the, where the, where the,
The sleeve connects to the rest of the shirt.
And my grandmother, God love grandma.
She sewed it back together for me.
And yes, I did have a broken collarbone and a broken leg,
but it was more about my quiet riot t-shirt.
Are we done here?
Gray, Gleveit Center.
February 22nd, get your tickets.
See the violins in the comments?
Thanks for being with us for 10 years.
A bunch of assholes.
Oh, hi, RJ.
great.
What's RJ going to be like?
Did you know the RJ's going on this trip, Rhett?
I did not.
Yeah.
Arge.
We're going to Mollet Arena.
We need a mullet cam.
Kids left Red Deer to come to Calgary in his life and nothing else.
That's the big traveling to the big city.
Incorrect.
He's been to Disneyland eight times, I think.
I was going to say, I think he's been to Disney a bunch of times.
Oh boy, Arj.
Ah, let's see with the pit of report of presentation of Village Honda,
Northwest Automallonline VillageHonda.com.
New in stock inventory.
Go check.
it out. Your automotive adventures. Start and end at Village Honda. New vehicle pricing MSRP. Always.
Don't even ask, because I know you're going to want to. You're going to want to go in there.
I feel like I should ask. Babe, don't ask. Don't ask. Don't. You're going to embarrass me.
Hi, I see you have the new pilot over there. Is it MSRP? Yeah. Why do you do this to me?
Yes, sir. It's always MSRP.
I told you.
Idiot!
Are things in the home front, Dean?
You good?
Time for the Pinder report.
Two handsome fellows are talking about
the flames and sends last night.
Let's take a peek at Afterburner.
Michael Backland ties
Mark Giordano second
in career games by a Calgary flame.
That's an impressive number.
I'm going to take a cheap shot at him.
Good, yeah, go.
Awesome. Good on you.
I was there.
you came in yeah but i would like to see it have some playoff rounds under your belt please before you
check yeah no that's that's fair and the real hope in in this market is that somehow you could
get younger shed ufas gather some cap space maybe help people with some bad contracts of the
deadline amass more picks but also be competitive again soon there are
teams that can turn things around in less than the, you know, the, the Buffalo, Columbus, Ottawa,
time frame, right?
Yeah.
That's the hope here.
I don't think it's easy at all, but it is possible.
I can't believe you let him take a shot at your Buffalo Sabres and you didn't want a headbutton
or something.
Hey, he were sitting right there, Buffalo and you did, no response.
You can't really argue with the timeline.
It is what it is.
Setting records.
Yeah, they're setting records here.
Like, it's, did we have, did we have.
Did we have cell phones the last time they made the playoffs?
Like, it's been a while.
There was no crypto.
There's no,
there's no NFTs, I'll tell you that.
It's hardly an NFL.
It was way back before the March here.
Must have been cold last night,
eh?
Lots of tukes.
I just wanted Jack to know who I was cheering for this Sunday.
I couldn't unveil the do yet.
I love you too much, Dean.
You need to be here for that.
Thank you.
You're welcome.
Let's move along.
Stupid wildcard standings.
We saw them already.
Quick peek.
500 again.
They've been hanging around 500, which isn't that impressive.
A subternew factor in how bloody awful they were for a month to start the year,
two, seven and one out of the gate.
Don't let runs done.
Yeah, when you're below 500 by five games to get to 500, much better, much better.
By my logic, that makes you, you have to give you what, seven or eight games over 500 to get there?
Something like that, right, Dan?
Yeah, seven or eight games, yeah.
Here's the schedule.
We've been talking about all the road hockey.
They're almost done with the road team.
car car
double
yotes with a golden knight
in the middle that's a golden knight
sandwich on yote right there
okay and Vegas has not
been playing all that well I think I saw this morning
they've won three of their last 10 they're
chopping away right now
it's happened
we'll see if you saw Valamaki
in his bubble are in action as soon as
tomorrow can't wait to be there we'll see you all
at the appropriately named
Mollett Arena
Muley.
Dean, when they get back from this road trip this weekend,
they will play six in a row at home.
They will go into All-Star Break.
They'll have some time off.
They'll play on the road again until Feb 6 at Boston.
Can you just pause for one second, right?
Yeah.
How annoying is he going to be with that flow?
Oh, my gosh.
Like, it's gorgeous.
I love it, but it's going to be just continually,
throwing it around.
Like, somewhat, it may cause an altercation.
It will.
absolutely will. Thank you.
Please. May.
You're talking again and we asked you to shoot you.
It's a bunch of college kids to go to those games.
He's going to be about nine deep flip.
And you know what he looks like? You know what it looks like?
He looks like the guy in Dallas that got drilled.
It's, uh, yeah.
Took it right on the chin.
Got a good chin. If you're going to get into a verbal jousting pender, be on the one row up.
Don't be one row down.
High ground.
Yeah.
We've seen enough stadium fights in the fall here in this exact portion of the show.
The Penderpur.
High ground's important in those tilts in the stadia.
You know that.
Okay.
So we talk about the schedule.
They're at home for a while.
Once they get home this weekend, it's the dad's weekend.
We're all dead.
So excited.
Just harmony.
It's beautiful.
Coming together.
Can't wait to give Bill Hubert of a hug.
Failing that, yeah.
Half point of the season, we've hit it.
Let's roll through some of the results here.
Those are goals.
Blake Coleman's on pace for 30.
sleeping four. Wow.
Ye goal, Sharon Golvich, on pace for 28.
I'm going to workshop that.
Nazim Kadri, nice little bounce back.
He's on pace for over 25.
Weiger flirting with 20.
And there he is, Conner's area.
We didn't even know he'd be up at this time of year.
Do you know what?
Sorry, Ryan?
Because I look this morning.
Do you know what all eight of those gentlemen have in common?
The vowels in their name, nothing else.
I don't know.
All eight of them have more goals this season than Johnny Goodrow.
You could chuck at a hatchet last night.
Otherwise, he'd be below most of this list.
Come on home, Johnny.
Johnny.
Joe, come on back.
He hates life.
Just come home.
They got rolled up by Winnipeg last night.
Not even close.
Was a five rib?
Five nothing.
There's the bottom half.
There's some less outstanding.
spending stuff in there like Jonathan Hubert on pace for 12.
Also some good stories.
AJ Greer, off waivers.
12 goals, yes, please.
Love it.
Dylan Dubate?
Adam Rizizekha.
Okay.
We'll move.
This is points.
Blake Coleman.
Would you take a 64 point Blake Coleman?
You're goddamn right, you would, Dean.
That's what you, that's what you shop for in free agency two summers ago.
65 points.
draws a bunch of penalties. Love it. Good work, Nas.
Igor Sharon Govich on pace for 54. That would, I think, best his career high by 10?
That was a couple years ago. Who is that?
Igor. Sharky. Come on. Who is it, Ryan?
Eagle Sharon Golvich. Right. That's who it was. Thanks.
And then near the bottom, Huberto on pace for 42. That's considerably less than the 55 last year.
backland's having a backland type year he gets to 55 are we happy who happy's the wrong word but
yeah content a little beat satisfied i don't think so i mean geez he's that what i know 115 rat
i know we have to let go of it but he had over a hundred points 34 points in the next
41 games it's not going to do it for you you're an ass
Tough audience, hey?
Real tough.
Real tough.
Okay, let's keep moving.
I'm done with that page.
Nothing there.
We'll talk about.
No, I think it's good.
Yeah, no, next one.
There we go.
There's your minute leaders.
This is where I think there's some point you guys have made earlier.
It's important to note.
Three of those guys.
What are you doing?
What is happening?
Sorry, Ryan.
Inner thigh there?
What's going?
Are you wearing pants?
I got my flames.
Look, I'm ready.
I thought your berries flopped out of the bottom there.
Are those boomer undies?
Are you selling boomerandies on there?
Nationgear.C.?
Put those things away.
We could sell them.
And for the love of God,
give them a trim.
Jesus.
Poor shoveler.
There's,
through that mess.
So you got Rasmus for next year,
fellas,
you got McKenzie for next year.
All those other guys,
big question mark.
That's a lot of minutes you're missing in theory,
right?
And that's what you were talking about
with the decor with Hannafin.
Yes.
Very good.
A lot of minutes.
And goalies.
A bit of a gap here, fellas.
Not sure if you've noticed that forming.
Let's do the math.
That's almost a goal a game.
That sounds low.
And yeah, just a, you know, 30 points or so on the save percentage.
A little more 25 points.
Yeah, that's like three goals a game.
Extra for one of them.
Then they'll switch out of the math department.
Connor Bedard is going to be missing six to eight weeks.
Fractured jaw surgery today.
Frank Bomb.
Frank Bomb.
Bob.
Surgery.
Now this is bad in so many ways for A,
Connor, B the league,
B the Blackhawks, B, Chicago season ticket holders.
A lot of Bs.
I don't know what it keeps in B. You know what really sucks for?
Someone else off that shitty roster
is going to have to go to the All-Star game now.
Like, who are you taking?
Who is going to the All-Star game?
Got this game now.
South Jones.
Is he healthy?
No, but he could probably go
and you know, I do target shooting or something.
Send Pete Marazik.
We'll fill the nets.
No one cares about the goalies anyway.
Oh, and you know what?
That's bad news.
That's bad news for Connor.
But you know what it does?
Opens the door for another Connor.
Connor Zeri called her trophy.
Let's go.
That pays a big number on Betway.
Take a peek.
Let's go.
Nathan McKinnon in action tonight.
It is Golden Knights' avalanche.
It should be a fun one.
And oh, yeah, by the way,
he's he's humming 23 game point streak on home ice how many home ice games do you play in a year
dean so like somewhere between 30 and 50 yeah it's 37 um he's over halfway and i was going to bring
this up yesterday because i watched the boston Colorado game the other night for a little chunk
remember i was talking about the la toronto game last week just the pace of play and how it was back
and forth same thing boston and Colorado
Different speed limit.
Different everything.
Yeah.
Different everything for sure.
Yeah.
And just putting a nice little bow on the cutter go chase story, our old pal, or maybe not,
former hitman.
Travis Sandheim had this to say about the young fella.
Yeah, you know, he wasn't in camp.
We weren't to something that stayed with us, you know.
You either show up the development camp, whether he skate or not.
He doesn't want to be here.
We're happy to move on.
Yeah.
I'll put.
Yeah, there's some tire tracks left on Cutter Gochay for sure.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
And again, if you didn't see this coming, you're not paying attention.
Lots on that with Jay Rosehill and Department of Discipline, which should drop tomorrow, by the way.
That's a lot on that.
Yeah, and you definitely can see the boot prints of Jay Rosehill also on Cutter Goce on that show.
Do you want me to give you the Coles notes?
I got a pretty good idea of how it's going to go.
Yeah.
I mean, old man shakes fist at cloud,
except old man's right.
That's sort of where we're at on this one.
I think a lot of people are like,
you said no to who?
You didn't reply to a text to who?
He's a young kid.
Kids that don't know how to interact with?
Manners.
They don't understand they're socially awkward, COVID,
all kinds.
We can talk about this with the dad's on the trip this weekend.
I was going to say,
we need to talk about Cutter's mom and dad.
No pleases, no thank yous.
No holding the door for old ladies.
You've been around society lately.
How many kids have you walked away from it?
And said, there's a well-mannered child.
None.
Right?
None.
Like, you don't meet a kid where you're like, man, that's a good kid.
I coach two or three.
They're gems.
But there's a team of 19.
You know what?
And just, I'm going to interrupt the Pinda report.
Do better parents.
Do better.
Like us?
Yeah.
like I got my team.
They're fighting and they're clawing.
They're totally committed to doing the right thing.
They're not going to give up.
They're showing off their backwards crossovers after waving their hands at other players.
They're doing it.
Do better.
Some would say that's questionable behavior.
We say it shows that they care.
Yes, heart.
Full of heart.
I got something you guys care about.
We have an unbelievable slate of football this weekend.
Two on Saturday, three on Sunday, one on Monday.
Our picks on Friday.
Let's go day by day here.
Browns at Texans, this is your Saturday afternoon game.
2.30.
Ooh, mama.
It would be fun.
Flack around and find out.
That's what the Browns fans are saying.
They're traveling to Houston.
What's that route?
The Grand Canyon to check this, watch this game,
and then we'll carry on to watch the flames.
Okay.
Very good.
Dolphins and Chiefs.
That is the, what a nightcap there.
I do love a road trip.
I reek against his old squad.
How long is we?
Five hours.
Supposed to be cold in Kansas City,
Rhett, cold.
Cheetahs like cold weather?
It doesn't matter.
The dolphins and the cheetahs,
they don't like teams that are good.
That is true.
They don't beat 500 teams once this year.
Steelers, bills, nothing to talk about here, right, Jack?
Right.
He's sending me a thousand gifts a day in images and Steelers' stats and
preseasoning.
Why have you sent them to me, Jack?
Yeah, big mouth.
You flabby lips, whatever.
Yeah, flabby lips.
You won't even answer me, Rhett.
I'll send you them, but you'll look at them.
Man, I get ridiculed from everyone about my, uh, my phone and, uh, response.
Yeah, they might be on to something.
Uh, Steelers bills 11 a.m.
After that, it's Packers Cowboys.
Dinder.
Can you imagine before cell phones how hard it would have been to get a response?
You got to wait for a phone call or a letter?
No, you just go to his watering hole or knock on his door.
You know what?
Rhett might be dead.
I'd have no idea.
But I haven't seen him.
He doesn't answer his phone.
Listen here.
I've called you over the last month, about 10 times.
Your phone must only call out.
It doesn't receive calls.
You've been blocked.
Rams at Detroit.
That's a fun one.
Matt Stafford against his old crew, three and a half points there.
Are we cheering for there?
The Lions, right?
No, God, no.
Oh.
I don't know.
Maybe the lines are kind of level.
I just love the Stafford coming home and the Rams are supposed to be shitty guys.
They had nothing left after that Super Bowl.
They were brutal.
They talked about the Rams.
They won the Tyrant.
The Detroit has on a daily basis.
We're not going to cheer for the lonely line line.
Barry Sanders the last time they were good.
What do you?
Stafford left and won immediately.
So they need more?
So he asked out or they traded him away?
Well, either way.
Still, for everything from the fans.
perspective. This guy was with us and then he left
and won right away.
You know what, fellas?
That's why this is a good game.
Yeah, but everything we just said.
Yeah.
And the Monday nighter,
Eagles, Bucks.
Please don't suck. That's all I have to say there.
Line is three.
Gush.
Gush.
Did we get Frank a tough enough time about that?
No, he was trying to
change the topic and talk about my
attire and my camera angle.
Well, I think he's,
owned it too. I don't think we had to convince
him that the Eagles have looked like dog shirt.
It was about a month ago. He was really mouthy
about the Cowboys. That settled down quite a bit.
Yeah, a little bit.
The head coach
of the Toronto Raptors went absolutely nuts
last night in Los Angeles. Fourth quarter,
I believe,
23
foul attempts or free throws
for the LA Lakers. Two for the Raptors
who were going to the hoop and getting any calls.
The steak and refs, Red. The steak and rafts.
It matters. I'd say it all.
all the time. If it's happening on one side, it's probably happening on the other. Like, it can't be
that one-sided. It's impossible. Listen, he's heated, boys. Thank you, Doug. Thank you, Doug. That's,
that's outrageous. What happened tonight, this is completely BS. This is shame. Shame for the referees,
shame for the league to allow this. 23 free throws for them and we get two free throws in
in the four quarter. Like how to play the game.
I understand respect for all stars and all of that,
but we have star players on our team as well.
How's possible as Scotty Barnes,
who is all-star caliber player in this league?
He goes every single time to the rim with force
and trying to get to the rim without flopping
and not trying to get foul calls.
He gets two three throws for a whole game.
How is that possible?
How are you going to explain that to me?
They had to win tonight.
If that's the case, just let us know.
we don't show up for the game.
Just give them a win.
But that was not fair tonight.
And this is not happening first time for us.
Scottie Barnes is going to be all-star.
He's going to be the face of this league.
And what's happening over here during whole season,
I've been holding you back.
It's a complete crap.
It's a complete crap.
That is a complete crap.
And the reason I laugh is, I just think,
if I were a Raptor player,
how hard I would have to fight the urge to just do thank you dog a thank you dog
thank you dog hey scotty barnes i like how he's coming in to be all-star he's got the deep breaths
god you're just a neck you'd be on the bus to the airport a scuddy barns all-star
thank you dog it is outrageous the only thing better is when NBA Twitter gets their hands on
something like this and they throw some bars down behind it. This is great stuff. Let's let's get back
to the Jack. It's outrageous. What happened tonight? This is completely BS. This is shame. Shame for
the referees. Shame for the league to allow this. 23 free throws for them and we get two free
throws in a four quarter. Like how to play the game. I understand respect for all stars and all

Thank you, Doug.
Even rolls the R on force.
Thank you, dog.
look at the eyes oh total BS this is a crap this is a crap I like that darko I'm I'm in I'm back
in that coach but I'm back in that coach and they had I think three or four games in a row
over 130 points like they're starting to play here get on get on board with force with the
force gonna need some um NBA announced a new show this probably is going to be excellent
excellent because it's the type of thing the NFL, the NHL did, but stopped doing when it was actually good.
You know the, the old quarterback show that was it Netflix, Dean?
They followed NFL quarterbacks around.
MBA's doing it.
LeBron James, excuse me.
LeBron James, Jimmy Butler, Anthony Edwards, Demantis Sabonis.
That is cool.
I feel like LeBron might be, have a little more going on than Sabonis might.
Taco Tuesday at Libran's house.
Libran, let's go.
Yeah, maybe we're doing this stuff.
What are you doing?
Can't even get best on best.
They had the HBO 24-7 show and they flushed it.
What were you doing?
That was the best.
Yeah.
Oh, Gary needs to have his,
Gary's got to control it.
Gary's got to, yeah.
There was too much cursing.
We talked to our clients.
They were not in favor.
Bruce Boudreau had chicken sauce on his face and was firing out.
F-bombs at an inappropriate rate.
Doug Wilson couldn't operate a toaster.
That's bad for our league.
Randy Crowell.
You and the Sabres alumni got together for a little ski day.
This looked fun.
Delicaville.
It's great.
Fuck yeah, boy.
It's not even skis deep.
Look at this.
The fellas.
Oh, yeah, buddy.
The sticks out there.
There's a snowboarder with you.
How fun is that?
Conditions look great, right?
That's all.
Awesome.
Oh, nice.
You love a snow day when the sun's out like that.
Oh, yeah.
When it's flat, you can't slob bird.
It's beauty.
You're some kind of loser, right?
What are you talking with?
Sabres alum?
You guys are at skiing.
Whoever's doing it.
I wasn't invited if it was a saber's alum.
Razor.
Come on.
You can do better than that.
No, it's true because Rhett wasn't there.
We have a video of Red snowboarding the same day.
And he was not in Snowblades.
He was not wearing the same outfit.
Here he is.
Here's right.
Oh, what is he?
What?
I was fine.
Rhett, you're getting worse.
You, uh, you tumbled into a crevoss.
My bindings weren't right.
Like, I didn't.
There was some ice.
That looked like a very deep crevasse.
Ah.
Is it a little while to get up.
You know what?
Yeah, it would.
You were a little stinky.
You needed a little clean up anyway.
That's fine.
I dug up.
I dug up.
Dig up, stupid.
The shoveler, she's in good shape.
She's fit and you guys are out of the park.
She was showing off her monkey bar skills.
This is great stuff.
Look at the pipes on her.
Here we go.
Oh, man, that one got me.
I wasn't ready.
That got me.
I was wondering where this.
Yeah.
Keep sitting her head.
Oh, geez.
After meeting you.
Yeah, it's weird.
Because it does kind of resemble the shoveler there a little bit.
Well, that is the shell.
Yeah, she's fit.
And then, uh, look, she's so worried about her footwork.
Oh, dear.
Yeah, that's.
And the thing is she, did she hit the second?
Yeah.
It wasn't even the end bar.
Yeah.
It wasn't even the lowest.
No.
Well, that's probably good because the lowest would have got her into.
Yeah, right there.
Right in a juggler.
I don't know.
She had a weird bump on her head, but I, I didn't know.
She's a heck of a gal.
It's not just rats family, though, because, uh,
Dino, we got video you.
Oh, great.
Yeah, good.
And you hate these stupid bike lanes.
You're trying to cross the street.
And you finally just said, screw it off.
Nenshi, all right?
Yeah, take that.
There's Dean.
Okay, I'm just going to go.
Now, the good news, you actually finish fourth, Dean.
It's just stuck to there.
But you made some prize money.
Yeah, yeah, that's.
They should have to.
You got to use the plus 15, Dean.
I know.
Did you put up some signs, like bike race or something?
Oh, boy.
I got places to be.
Yeah.
I was going for you actually.
Glad that wasn't tomorrow morning trying to get to the airport.
No.
Yeah.
Anyway, that's your Pind Report today.
I hope you enjoyed it.
Sure did.
Village Honda.
Northwest Automall.
Huge selection of used vehicles all makes all models, all budgets.

Just that easy. Just that easy. I remember to do one today. The old Betway bets, Betway, get the Betway app on your phone. Bet along at home. Be responsible.
I mean, and this is the time, right?
We're into the new year.
You got a playoff football.
Let's go.
Little Betway in your life.
The official gaming partner of Barnberger and After Burger.
We'll start us off a couple.
Lights get only three NHL games tonight.
Here's my bets, though.
Here's my bets of the day.
Minnesota at Dallas stars pretty good hockey team.
These two teams played on Monday.
stars 1, 4 zip.
Back to back.
Plus 120 for a stars win minus 1.5.
So win by 2.
I looked as well. I think in the month,
in the month, well, just going back a month,
I think December 11th was the last time.
Only once in the last month has Dallas scored under three.
They're putting up some offense.
And we saw the wild.
They're not exactly putting up the office.
Yeah, there's a typo there.
That says the Minnesota Wild.
It's actually about half the Minnesota Wild that's playing Dallas tonight.
Yeah.
And then Vegas at Colorado.
I did a little double up here.
It's one of the pre-builts.
A pre-built belt.
I got a Colorado money line and over five and a half total goals.
Colorado's a bit of a wagon right now, man.
McKinnon 23 game point streak at home.
Are you kidding me?
Yeah.
McCar is still flying around.
Nachushkin, they, what does Blake Holman have?
have 17. Yeah. They have three guys with over 20 at the halfway point.
Sounds fun. Mishkin, McKinnon, and then Rantanon. Yeah. Yeah. Seems unfair.
Lekanin's hurt. Betman should step in. Lekan's traveling, by the way. They hit the road on
Friday for a road trip. He's with the team. So look for his return. See if he and Miko are still
friends after Miko called out his dad. Lackin. Lackinan. I'm, I'm
keying in on that game in Denver as well.
Dino, I got Jack Eichel at two or more
points plus 162.
He's having a solid year. And Nate
dog's feeling it. Big game hunting.
Two goal Nate plus four hunt.
Let's go.
Got a boy Nate.
Yeah, real pumped for you.
Happy for him.
They need another ring, don't they?
They can't just stop at one with McCar and him
and Rantan and others.
Is Landis Caw?
Is he on one of those things where as soon as the cap doesn't matter,
he'll be back?
Red is more about that weird surgery.
This could be a current.
He was supposed to be back last year midseason.
He didn't come back at all.
I looked at it when I was retiring.
It was very new and it's still cutting edge.
You can't do, I've said it before,
you basically can't do anything with that joint.
Until it's healed up 100%.
Like months of not being able to move.
Not ideal.
Sounds great.
I think okay.
So I just got to.
sit around home i can't go out and do stuff dean you have stairs in your house you know what
elevator you're there while you're going in there you're doing one just do the other i just get
it all done you got a busy month you get that line up for fab dean okay yeah that's a busy month
busy month i think we've covered just about everything that we needed to do we got some doardash
for you and i got uh i do a video of oh yeah what seeing the mullet so oh really we'll save that to the end maybe
okay well this no i just
just off the game last night.
Not often that you come out of a Flames
Senators game and have things that you feel
like, hey, there's a few things to, of note.
But there are most of them on the flame side, in fairness.
Didn't see a lot of Tim Stutzler last night.
I saw his face and he looked a little bit
upset, I'll just say.
Yeah, down in the dumper?
I don't think he's enjoying the game right now.
Down in the dumper, you know, like?
yeah you know like and then i was thinking about the sense and i know we're getting off the air so that's fine i don't need
to babble i don't know that it works to bring in an interim coach like jacques martin does feel odd
doesn't it like i think all the guys like them and i think it's well respected all that i'm but i think
all those guys also know this is that's not the next coach yeah the coach like what are we doing here
We're just waiting in limbo for the real coach.
It's the substitute teacher.
Yeah, like, hello, Craig Barubi.
Are you busy?
Gregory.
Please.
How do you like the canal?
I do wonder, because you're in that spot, do we need to move on from DJ Smith?
Probably.
Do we have somebody on deck ready to step in?
And if it's not Barubi, then maybe not.
I know they like McKee.
I know they like McKee.
because I know the history of Steyos and the owner and the OHL and the key win in the O
or like I know that he would be on their list and maybe he's on their list so much that they are waiting
for him to finish the year in the O.
It doesn't look good for the sense.
And I'm sure Jacques's a nice guy, right?
He's one, he put him in there and he's a hockey guy.
He'd be able to command some degree of respect and all of that.
but I can I can see that especially with a young team it's like I I'm sure whoever this guy is right does Tim Stutzlano about Jacques Martan's pedigree and his history in the game or is he just kind of an old guy that's not going to be around in six months to your point yeah yeah it could be both too the hard part is that these guys haven't tasted winning right and it's kind of like this was their year and it's like this is ever going to happen like what the hell it was like watching Connor's first five years it's like
Are they going to find enough guys to put around me that we can actually be competitive here?
Like, what the hell's going on here?
And it just looks at a common.
Most gamer, like he is miserable.
Because you hear that term fragile.
You hear it all the time.
But they looked the least surprised out of anyone that the flames came back and won that thing in the third.
Watching Chickren just kind of off my leg right to the guy in the back of the net.
Broken stick.
He's going to do a perfect wrap around into the net.
There were no balances.
There was no breaks.
No luck.
And for them, it probably feels like they're about 40 games in of having no breaks and no lock and no bounces.
Yep.
So they need a guy like Rhett Warner in there to take him out and have a real banger.
All-Star breaks coming, fellas.
Is it Bearfax?
Where are we going to get in?
Who is their All-Star?
Is it Cichuk or is it Claude?
I would think it's Cachock.
I mean, if the league picked Lindholm over Coleman and Audrey and Markstrom, they're interested
name bars as much as stat lines right like i wondered if that was the flames thing when the league
phoned and maybe conroy's like oh how about lynch home i said i'm selling an all star boys
line up right here number one center was part of the best line in hockey a couple years ago he's an
all star this year and all the all star in passing guys are for friggin all star got two or three
potential all stars out there um is a brady chuck is yeah she's brady chuck is yeah she's bray

NHL, that could be a Western Conference final clash there.
And then you can go over to the Hupes and see how Darko's fellows play after that rant about
the referees.
He might not be coaching.
He might be missing this one, but they're playing the Clippers second game in as many nights
in L.A.
That's at 8.30.
That's what's on the menu for DoorDash.
There you go.

Sure.
Ginger beef.
No, ginger beef.
Ginger.
I want the ginger beef.
I like it.
Fried rice.
Done.
You got me now.
Because I find we go, it's Chinese food.
You get it so good.
Then you get it again.
Then you get it again.
We had a lot of Chinese food lately.
And then you kind of go on a bit of a,
when is the last time we had Chinese food?
Oh, get away.
Here we go.
We're going to go.
Oh, we're going to go.
now Jack
is he there

Yeah, we got two.
Damon's brother emailed me.
Damon, right?
Okay.
Raymond?
Did he tell you?
Did he tell you?
Is this name Raymond?
I don't know what his name is.
I briefly read it.
His name's Trav.
Travis.
All right.
Give me a sec.
Trav?
Too many.
Trav?
Too many.
Now we do have a bit of a roster pinch coming.
I have confirmed another regular returnee from last.
year but we definitely
we're sniffing around you're not a GM
if you're not looking at the market scene what's out there
Dean yeah no I've just worried that
we're getting close to the start of the season
we need to get some PTOs out here
so we can see what we got
rosters at six as it stands
how many five yeah
now is it is it four on four or three on three
okay
let's go to the pros and cons this is
Raymond Daymond's brother
Okay.
Dros.
And have a good time is
these are pros.
Drinking and have a good time is required.
It's bad English for sure.
I don't know what that's even.
Can handle cold weather with whiskey.
Played hockey since age five.
As required.
Not is.
Okay.
Have a good time as required.
Okay.
Can handle cold weather with whiskey.
Played age hockey since five.
Or play hockey since age five.
Not so enticed by the devil's lettuce.
the other guy was
Yeah he was in the joint
Yeah above average height
And arm length can almost reach his knees
Wow
Can handle booze well
Skate faster than Boomer
Key punching
The cons
Damon's older brother
Loves double Caesars
Now
I would submit that the double Csor
That puts you in the pro category
Well unless you're such a lover
Of the double Caesar
That you whack your head on the eye
We had one guy that loved double Cesar's last year.
Concussion protocol, Dean.
Put a ruling on the roster.
Druling on his shirt.
It was not good.
It's not good.
All right.
That's also spelled incorrectly.
So. Yeah.
It's in charge of this stuff.
So I'm not surprised there.
I didn't spell this.
Okay.
Just the drive by.
Jack's all offended.
You know one more.
Okay.
Okay.
So do we know?
from Kyle.
Oh, look at this.
It's like a hockey card.
6.3.205.
79.5 inch wingspan with excellent stick positioning and poke checking ability.
6.3.205.
That sounds like that.
Notable hockey moments.
Midget AAA All-Star.
Wow.
Greg.
Played with Everly.
Name drop.
He didn't even know I was there.
Multiple goals on Aaron Dell in practice and novice.
Okay.
Well, better than not scoring on him, I guess.
once for real in junior a muffin from the point hey
it's not how it's how many
a major bantam most improved player
dad says it was because I sucked at the start of the year
okay fair de man of the year drum heller dragons
oh bum bum smeller oh nine okay
two time winner
D man of the year
drum heller holy
member of the new brighton ODR three on three tournament champion
team team forest lawn tournament and
VP. Too bragy, Kyle.
I mean,
we asked, we asked, right? He's not doing it unsolicited.
We did ask, so.
Not really any cons, though. It's just kind of.
Yeah, what's at the bottom there? I can't see the bottom.
It says skills can throw back, can throw back sauce, can front sauce too,
but who can't with a sack of curve. Crucial in pond hockey.
Stronger backwards skater than forward, soft hands.
sounds good i gotta be honest i like him more than uh the other guy there is some size and if so
you played luck at this big tron card 19 half point of game the math how old is this
lugin hey look at playoff performer half point a game of the playoffs it's when it matters
and 40 pimps yeah in four games maybe he'll be out there
the clear the old dukes yeah do you remember who's
shooting the old dukes
what was his name?
Yeah.
San Jose sharks.
Yes.
Who was it?
Hola.
Damn it.
Damn it.
Babbling about.
Well, we had him on the show on the old radio show.
Shoot in the old dukes.
He got into a fight with D.
On Funnuff.
Don't mind if I do.
Yeah.
I'm cleaning it up a little bit for you.
damn it. Oh, well, where's RJ?
He might remember. Well, all right, Kyle, thanks for
sending in that. If you, uh, if you feel
you've got what it takes. Yeah.
So head to Jasper and be part of our, uh, illustrious crew as we do the
GM's work. Yeah.
You're on the show. Well, I do have an announcement.
We have, we have re-signed Tyler Moss to a one-year extension.
Nice. Nice. I don't know how many goals he prevented with a skate blade,
but it was at least a dozen. Unbelievable. Yeah. Unbelievable. And you know what? He like
Paniffin can just skate for days.
Around the crease a bit, yeah.
He was known for a stride.
Yeah, great stride.
Great stride.
He's got some size.
Oh, yeah.
If we got Rose Hill and we got this fair donkey
and if we got Rosser,
you might get away with rolling around
with the mullet and being yippy.
Honestly, we didn't lose.
last time. What am I supposed to be intimidated
by those clowns up in Emmington?
Your M-CHEC was getting yappy. What happened to him? I bludied his face.
You did bloody his face. Yeah, he took a puck right in the
right in the mind. Whoops.
Leaking all over. Don't bring that up because that makes people
not want to play. Well, just don't get pender on your bad side.
That guy with 40 pimms and bum smeller. He's not afraid of a little blood. That's fine.
Four games.
Bagged milk wasn't talking shit. No, he respected.
He was mined in his fees and cues.
after your remchuk took one right in the mush.
All right. Well, email your, your, your shit in to Jack at flames nation.ca.
What's the cutoff, Ryan?
Because we got to know who's going.
We got to go to Jasper in a week.
Jerseys are squared away.
We're working.
The next man to make the team is rooming with you.
So that's an exciting development.
I'm kidding.
I think our roster is at five and a half here.
So we could definitely use one more.
Six and a half would be perfect.
Because we're going to get half of Rose Hill.
How does Man Deep not have a buddy?
Because I don't even know we can count on Rose Hill, right?
Because he's playing for the Leafs team.
There's no Leafs team, but they're going to be floating around free agents.
Yeah.
It might be a DFO team that he plays on a bit, a bit with us.
There's something going on.
I know.
And I'm trying to claim him.
He's the star of our holiday spirits show.
I know.
You're a traitor if he plays for anyone else.
totally it is the it's the big pond hockey tournament we are going to be there next week we'll be doing
we won't be shooting the old dukes we'll be shooting some footage we'll be shooting some some
content and shared it with on the on the old soche and on this on the station and on the show
coming up on the station uh but we were talking about it earlier i think we're going to do
sort of a uh what would you call it ryan host game so the dude that likes to pack joints maybe
We do need them.
Maybe.
No, the guy that you schmucked right in the mind,
your M-Chuck,
because we're in Jasper and on the Saturday night,
the Oilers play the Flames.
So we were going to do a little post game,
hoop-de-do, and they'll be part of it and will be part of it, I guess.
So that'll go really well for us, I'm sure.
Especially after 26 double-seasers.
Yeah.
Huska, I know that Conroy wants Vladar in the net all the time.
Play Markstrom.
Although Marksd-Dog against that oil team.
Maybe play Bladar.
I don't know.
get riddick back didn't he throw the stick big save jave he's in la right now awesome yeah so anyway
we're going to be up in jasper it is a great spot jasper fairmont awesome can't wait to get there
and our performance is fueled by booster juice visit a location today refuel refresh re-energize
download the new booster rewards app to earn order and enjoy thank you booster juice
I feel like they'll be in a high demand in the mornings, especially, as we head to the ring.
I looked at the weather.
Like, it is bleeping cold in Alberta right now, Rhett in a week's time?
Perfect.
Minus five, minus three, minus two.
That is pond weather.
That's pond hockey weather.
Perfect.
Gorgeous.
Love it.
What day are you who are rolling in, right?
I'm not sure yet.
I think it's pretty pretty sure.
It's a plan is.
No.
Bring in trunks for sure.
That hot pool, all of the back.
back right there by the wall.
Yeah, he'll have his
friggin full luggage
filled full of origin beer, I'm sure.
We're going to have to figure that out, right?
We're going to have to do a road trip.
Is Strathmore on the way to Jasper?
No.
There's new delivery Thursdays between now and Jasper.
We'll put a good word in with the crew.
Maybe Mock can do a little work for us there.
Anyway.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And I mentioned.
this earlier in the week and I figured I'd just give you an update.
Did the
bacon portabella mushroom melt two banger
yesterday? Sweet.
Still got it. That Wendy,
she knows how to spin up a burger.
Because you've got the burger and then
the slice of cheese and then the mushrooms in the cheese
sauce on top of the
Yeah.
Was it two in one sitting or did you have a little nap in the middle
pet the dog and then get back in for the second course.
What are you talking about?
Hi, could I get the bacon portabella combo, please?
Poutine those fries, large drink, and throw in another sandwich, please.
I didn't get two combos.
I'm not a pig.
I wanted to get some chili with it.
Well, I figured I got to celebrate the burger while it's out.
That Wendy, she's got me over her knee.
She knows.
But if it's all for just a limited time, then fat boy is going to have to really seize the opportunity while it's there.
Strike while it's hot.
I can get chilly around the calendar.
I can't get the damn Portobella bacon and mushroom burger.
So I guess I'll be doing that today.
It's off the cold.
God.
But I'll do it for Wendy's.
Get the Wendy's app.
Get the automatic starter on the car going.
Yeah.
Where you go?
Get the Wendy's app.
Got some points on my app.
Maybe I can, should check that.
Anyway, so you, as we started the show is how we'll end the show.
You had the unveil earlier today of your new quaff.
You had talked about our trip to Phoenix.
We're going to the mullet arena.
You have decided to cut your hair into a actual mullet.
It is, you know what, you could, if you wore like a visor or a hat, it wouldn't even look real.
It'd be like a guy's got one of those fake hats with the hair that comes out, a headband.
Maybe you need a headband.
or something.
But we are very much in favor.
Is that fair to say?
Like, Rhett says you've never been better.
This is the best day he's ever had with you in his life.
Thumbs up or thumbs down.
That's all we need to know.
It's binary.
It's yes or no.
Oh, for those just listening, we are all,
it's a round of Jack, thumbs up.
Thumbs up, Bobbitt.
All right.
Shut up, Jack.
So, but it's not just about us.
I mean, yes, it's great that we like it.
but Ryan doesn't have to live with us.
He's got to live with his lovely wife.
I am curious.
I'm very defensive already.
Look at the posture.
You wanted a haircut.
That's what you get.
I don't want a haircut.
I can't undo it.
I can't take it back.
I have no receipt.
Do you want to take it back?
You can take it back.
Take that back.
Yeah.
She's like, well, I mean, how much did you pay him?
because you're going to have to go back next week and pay them again.
Well, you can't not show up.
You can't show up the Jasper without a mullet.
That's right.
I mean, if, come on.
All the people coming to Jasper,
they're going to see me again in two weeks in Toronto.
It's All-Star Week and take off my all-star hair.
So how did you, when you said, I want a mullet.
So what, from where your hair was at,
obviously we've seen you,
you've taken it right down to the wood,
uh,
around the temple.
And the top of the ear area, basically, right from the top of the sideburn.
But what else?
Was there any thought of going right back over the ear into the full mud flap on the back?
Or because, yeah, okay, there it is.
Nice freeze there.
Yeah.
See?
It's just, it's really well done.
My boy, Ty was, he was jacked up.
He was sharing photos.
I'm going to do this.
We're going to do that.
And after he spent 45 minutes getting rid of dreads, knots and little rats hiding in there, we, we were off to the races.
Yeah.
Did you find your wallet and your car keys?
You know what?
It was the garage key.
I couldn't find the garage door opener.
Where is it?
I've been sleeping on it.
The top is glorious.
As it dries, it goes up.
You know my hair a little bit?
I do.
When it's wet, it'll look like Razor Ramon.
But then it turns into this like,
look at this.
Yeah.
Anybody else, you have a shower and you wash your hair.
If you don't do something with it,
it just sits flat in your head.
Mine crows.
It just falls down.
It's the chia pet.
Yours just goes the other way.
There's only one Ryan Pinder.
There's only one.
What's awesome beer cafe?
7 a.m.
Yeah, that's right.
What's up today, Retro?
Nap.
Are you?
Pender can't be up last week.
Yeah, you did the old A burner last night.
It's pretty good.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Lots of stuff there.
If you want more on the sands of the flames,
a dozen hour five worth.
Cheesecake.
Delicious.
Oh, yeah.
Came out of commercial break.
Brett was just ramming his face.
Totally busted.
With some 1 a.m. cheesecake.
Was that ice cream?
No, not ice cream.
What kind of cheesecake is?
Yeah.
Very nice.
Merceret.
No, I'm going to just get a second.
Yeah.
So again, no show tomorrow.
Take the day off tomorrow.
Everybody just take the day.
It's cold.
Yeah.
We know you're having a hard time getting back into this routine.
post Christmas.
Just take a day,
come back for a Friday,
and then have a weekend.
That's what we're hydrated tomorrow.
That's what you should do.
So are we really doing this?
I'm going to rent a car,
go to Vegas.
No, there's no chance.
What?
Oh.
He's got a Bill's game to get back to.
Bill's.
We'll see you tomorrow, Dean.
Thanks for watching.
There's no show tomorrow.
You said road.
You said road trip.
Go ahead. I've got the bills to cheer on. I got a pickup check in Hamilton.
If you want to go to a road trip, fly to Hamilton. I'll drive you down.
See you, buddies.
Bye, Dean.
