Friday is Hawaiian shirt day.
So, you know, if you want to, go ahead and wear a Hawaiian shirt and jeans.
No, now, I don't know about the jeans.
It's not necessarily a Hawaiian shirt, but it is in the spirit.
It is better than what I have come across.
I mean, there you go.
Number 26.
I just see, yeah.
2026, big year for the Blue Jays.
Is Chapman, Chapie Couture, Hawaiian T-shirts.
That's what they called them.
Remember Chapman, the third basement?
Yeah, he was good.
Great glove.
He was good.
Gold Glover.
Yeah.
Now, a giant, I believe.
Yeah.
He designed it.
I mean, talk about a multi-faceted individual.
It's very nice.
A clothing designer and an athlete.
Yeah, very nice.
Stick to ground balls, maybe.
But nonetheless.
Hey, welcome to the program.
It is a presentation of Pet,
365.
Beers, right, and Putin.
Canada.
Right. Yeah, he loved it so much.
He left.
Left immediately.
He wanted a lot of money to be fair.
They offered more than he took eventually.
What's that?
They offered him more than he eventually took.
He's like, I want 160 over five or something ludicrous.
And they're like, well, how about 120?
And then he signed like a three-year deal that was essentially a one-year opt-out.
And you got his money after playing well the year after.
I need to get paid.
All right, here's money.
I'd like more.
Actually, I, um.
no my market's way better than this and then two months later yeah my market wasn't better I should have taken that money yeah
so anyway uh presentation of bet 365 whatever the moment it's never ordinary at bet 365 an official partner of the nchel download the bet36 app today
and be responsible while you're doing it there's a lot going on there's hockey there's basketball there's lots that just responsibility gosh just a lot going on so much going on
not the least of which is the super chat you get inside the chat inside our little youtube program
thing, you start putting comments down.
You're like, I really want the guys to see this.
I want everybody to see this.
Everybody.
Plus some money down.
We'll send that across to the youth centers of Calgary and then we will put your comment
on the show.
Worse for everyone, including the kids.
It's about the kids.
Tis.
I think we'll probably hear from handsome Dan today, I'm guessing.
Well, if he's true to his word, if we know handsome Dan like we think we do.
He's been in.
is victorious by a score of five to three.
They get four unanswered, three in the final four minutes and 20 seconds.
A five goal outburst, a multi-goal come from behind win.
Just another day in the park.
You're welcome, Dean.
I had tweeted after 40 minutes.
In the last 17 games, the flames have scored more than three once.
And then they put a four spot up in the third period to make it twice in 18.
games they've scored more than three incredible heating up heating up at the right time honestly though
that that was the most out-of-character victory of the season in my opinion i i had to you know
they can't do they just did opening statements for mccloud law that's Shane king what a litigator
man i mean i don't know a ton of litigators but he's top shelf is he up for the uh litigating is he up for
the uh litigator of the year why litigator of the year yeah yeah
He is.
Every year.
Yeah.
Wow.
Mantle just full of Lotties.
Yeah.
Lottie Awards.
Litigation dispute resolution group.
I mean, he's,
it's weird because he's so good at it,
but in the end,
he's kind of trying to skirt it.
You know,
we don't need to do this.
Let's just find a,
let's just find a resolution.
Let's not get into.
Metal guys.
You know, come on now.
Practical approach, plain language,
not that legal jargon.
Just making sure that you've been taking care.
Maybe you've been terminated.
Well, Shane King's going to look at it and see,
well,
just make sure that everything's been on the up and up here.
And if not, then that's when Shane King shines.
McLeoddashlaw.com.
Where do you want to start?
I mean, I guess my, I think they have to in a way, maybe give a little one of these.
Tip of the cap to old Jacob Markstrom.
Thanks for being shitty, pal.
Thanks for letting us back into this thing, didn't he?
Yeah.
Someone threw him.
Appreciate you, bud.
That Connor Zeri gold guy.
I love Connor Zeri.
All of a sudden, I mean, he's missed some time.
He's up to 13 goals.
Zipping around, feeling it now.
Kind of a.
Zeri and Coronado anytime goals yesterday.
It was a good day at the office.
Yeah, kind of.
I thought they were both cadre goals.
I'm like, ah, he touched it in front.
You jerk.
You stole it.
And both, no.
No, he was right there.
Through Markstrom.
And then, you know, we'll give him the Coronado one.
That's maybe tricky.
I mean, your own guy put it in.
True.
In fairness.
A little friendly fire.
And the Huberto goal, we won't blame the empty net goal on him.
Tough from where he's at.
He's out of position, but he's been told to be there.
The Huberto goal is a turnover and Zinger.
That's a wire.
But the Miramanov and Zeri goals, two of the pivotal goals that got them back into this game,
trezo duer, as they say en francais.
I don't know what they did say.
Was he Swedish?
I don't know how Jacob.
Yeah.
How he would.
Well, the first one is.
Very.
So let's see the body of work here because I do believe that this is probably,
if he was still wearing a Flames jersey, old Jacob Markstrom,
we'd probably be saying, can't go in, Jake.
Totally.
And it looks like it's a jam job from Cadre.
And you're like, okay, well, fine, I guess,
but don't leave a rebound.
But the more you watch it, he's just moving around.
round and spits it in his own net.
Yeah, he's not really ready, I guess,
credit to Zeri for timing it correctly.
But it's not a rister from outside of the top of the circles.
So we probably would have been in a foul mood if that were the case.
And then afterwards, Miramanov was saying, well, you know,
I played with him after I got traded here.
I played.
So it's good to know where the spots are.
I'll do respect.
You put your head down and buried it.
But again, great.
It's a hard shot.
It beats Markstrom.
But again, the one angle, it, it, I don't feel like it should beat him.
He's, he's six foot six.
He wears a lot of gear.
It's from an angle.
And we know that Miramanov has some ability, but it's not.
Well, I mean, it's prime goal scorer in the National Hockey League firing it from there.
Yeah, it's a lovely play, but let's be honest, just because he was a convert.
verted forward. Everyone thinks that means he's an offensive defenseman. He's not.
Right.
This one here, because if you watch Marks, it's a nice little give and go, but he's kind of small.
He's down. He's leaving the blocker side. He's leaning to his left and he's already kind of lost the net a bit.
Right? It's a lot of net there away. So, hey, Jake, for you, one of these.
Appreciate you, bud.
Miss you. I just don't know how you could be talking about a guy like trading Jacob,
I mean, you spend a decade looking for it.
You finally got, why would you trade Jake?
Worked out okay.
Yeah.
So at that point, it was three to one.
Mr. Carter scored at the end.
That's the thing about kind of the things in this game.
You come back from the deficit.
You score a bunch in the third.
You get all of this sort of thing.
And there's some other, there was, there was resiliency.
There was things that they had to overcome.
And one of them, I thought, was that the cotter goal with whatever it was.
28 seconds left in the second period.
Those ones stay, right?
End of the period.
You're like, we got it within one.
We're on the road.
Let's just get in the room,
regroup and have a good third.
Instead, 3-1 just feels like curtains
because now you know they have to score four,
which is just priorly, prior stated.
Hard to do.
Sorry, I was going to say,
this is a tough night for ball because the,
the hall of goal goes in off of his took us and in.
And on this play, he's already pinched up once,
but does get himself back into position.
I don't know what he's doing here.
he tries to knock the puck down with a high stick.
Yeah.
It was his defense at the very start of this play.
And then he's like, oh, right here.
When you pinch, you better get that puck because your guy just blew past you, right?
Yeah.
And then he gets dog walked.
That felt like the game, didn't it?
I mean, I wouldn't have, I guess, begrudged any Flames fans if they just turned it off after 40 because they're like, that's three.
Well, to your point, it's the math.
It's just four.
They don't get to.
Like once a month.
It's like Haley's comet.
but it feels like when they get four goals or more.
Yeah, they just don't score a ton.
Now they're down by two.
So they got three.
You're going to need four.
Maybe you can get to three an extra time.
It just,
and the timing of it,
you go into the room,
shit.
Maybe could have pulled it out.
Well,
they're going to lock it down here in the third period.
And it's probably going to,
instead shots are 15 to four for the flames.
Huska said afterwards,
I could tell early on in the first couple shifts in the third period,
we got we got something here maybe we got some zip and he was right that and some timely goals if you want to call it that from old Jake but then there's the and also for for Wolf who was terrific the short-handed breakaway saves 751 of the third mohousouss is huge win and you look at what happened on the out of town scoreboard again we also you weren't listening to me you're on your phone what's on your phone
I'd just tell my kid to stop to go blow his nose.
Oh, okay.
In the background.
No, I was saying the Mercer,
the Mercer stop when they're on that power play in the third period.
As good as,
as good as the comeback was.
It's like, oh, shit.
And it was kind of a weager,
quadry kind of confusion there.
No, that is a big,
I'd forgotten about that.
That's,
that totally changes the face of the game,
doesn't it?
And that's what does?
That's,
you know,
we talk about it.
Like,
what's an elite goalie?
Is it one more save a night?
You got a power.
play it's a one goal game yeah if this goes in you feel like well now that was totally we blew it
wow yeah i'd forgotten about that just look at wolf's ability to move i'm trying to remember who
was he makes it keeps it out got it now take it there's just he's processing things at such a
incredible rate harry um they got a goalie they got a goalie and i know i was young and this and that
and i see the chat and people are but they got a goalie they got a goalie they got a goalie they got a goalie they got a goalie
This guy's going to keep them into games.
Get him signed.
He's going to be keeping this team in hockey games for a long time.
Yeah, we've said it a bunch.
We're all on the same page, flop 60 million bucks in front of them this summer and lock them in and you've got them for nine years.
That is your identity moving forward.
You might not be a high-flying McKinnon-McCarr-led team, but you can build around a goalie.
Lots of teams have and you can win playoff series with goalies and you can be a contender with a goalie.
And once again, you look at the goals that went in.
the first one that is credited to heeshire kind of goes off clapka's stick and
dribbles through him and then the hollow goal is going wide of the net and hits ball and goes
top shelf if if it's if it's not going off of his own guys he's generally making making the
save yeah cootter goals of beauty yeah cooks in the chat is saying he's just stealing games i agree
like again you would not have blamed him if he if he allowed a goal in the breakway and it's like
maybe you claw back to get closer.
You get a loser point or whatever.
But, you know, it's wild that he's, like the number yesterday was he was over 25 goals saved above expected.
That went up last night, I would suggest based on the quality of chances they had.
Early on, someone came in off the top of the left circle and was like wiggling in.
And you could just see him dancing left and right.
And he square the whole way, kicks out the right leg.
I'm trying to remember who had the chance early.
There's the, yeah, there's the left pad save off to tar.
Yeah, that was kind of at the same.
Yeah, yeah.
To I guess our right,
Wolfe's left.
And he's, he's got time.
He pulls it and, and he gets a piece of it.
It goes up and over, over the net.
He's all, some of the stuff is kind of looking routine until you see the replay.
And that's, oh my God, that's an amazing stop.
That kind of felt like it was one of them.
Yeah.
So it's, uh, yeah, five in regulation for, on a rare occasion.
Philly.
You got six.
January.
Yeah.
Philly,
they got six and then prior to that was January.
So yeah,
I've won 18 games since then.
Twice they've got more than three.
Like that is incredible.
And over that stretch,
they are now 7, 7 and 4.
Like they're playing 500 hockey,
getting two or three every night.
Yeah.
Points and 7 of 9.
Out of town scoreboard kind of,
kind of,
it was a loser, you know.
Great night.
Drama was high.
Did you see the finish of Vancouver?
I did.
Holy Besser with four seconds left and then the offer sheet combo and overtime beautiful.
Yeah, well, there's that I suppose coming, coming home to roost still hurting the flames.
No, the, the Vancouver Canox and the blues, they, they go to overtime.
So Broberg gets the winner.
Four straight wins for St. Louis.
They're 11, 2 and 2 in their last 15.
Besser did tie it, as you mentioned with four seconds left.
I see Jack's got it loaded.
Well, yeah, so there's the standings as of this morning.
Jatoy, flames are in by points percentage.
Again, just by virtue of two games in hand against St. Louis.
And obviously, their points percentage is above 500.
So, yeah, they're, look, St. Louis has got the easier schedule,
but you do have those games in hand.
Go win on tomorrow afternoon.
Like, that's a team that's sold at the deadline.
And they alls are playing well.
They're 3.0 and 1 in their last four.
I think they, what, overtime with,
the Oilers.
They're playing some pretty good hockey for a team that you thought was
throwing in the towel.
The East standings, they're still in the mix, believe it or not.
But you got to have it.
That's the biggest game of the year, 4.0.
That's right.
Yeah.
Let's it down.
3.04, something like that, whatever it is.
You got a. Biggest game of the year, 4.0.
Jack's got it loaded up. We probably should.
Jonathan Huberdow has taken some heat from,
from all of us in this city.
But he has had a, he's had a pretty good season.
He's been scoring goals.
He's now up to 26.
30, got a 30 goal year.
I don't know that we would have thought maybe that ship had sailed.
But this one here, it's quick.
God does he rifle it?
It's the reaction.
It's knowing what to do with it.
I think of, if it were me, you know, what do you do with it?
But it's off.
It's thing.
I'll tell you what he'd do with it last year, Dean.
He would fake shot and throw that somewhere where no one was expecting a pass.
and you would not even get a shot on net.
Yeah, he'd throw it to the left, to the right.
Frost, oh, you're going on a train, shit.
Never mind.
But honestly, this, he had one point in December last season.
Not this year, but like 13 months ago, 15 months ago, December, whatever the math is.
Yeah.
He was invisible.
You didn't notice him.
And then when you did see him, the body language was, I've ruined everything.
My life is lost.
Like, he's a man lost at sea.
And a year later, it's like,
Like, yeah, he does deserve a letter.
He's a way better defensive player.
And now he's scoring.
He's never had more than 30.
I think he's hit 30 on the button twice in his career.
He could have a career high in goals this year.
Go back.
Oh, Jack, I was just going to say on that one there.
It doesn't matter.
Anyway, so that's the story.
Flames went by a score of five to three.
What's that?
Let's go back to luck.
It's really nothing.
So it's the Islanders.
Next, they have won three in a row, points in four straight.
seven, three and one in their last 10,
it's their high watermark of the season.
So you're not, if you think it's the Islanders
and they've not been very good
and they're not going to make the playoffs,
well, you might be right,
but you're facing them at,
you know, the best time for them.
You might be able to put a mirror at center ice.
These teams are pretty similar, right?
Like they rely on goaltending.
They don't blow you away with offense.
They've got some good players that are into their 30s.
They've got some young guys that haven't quite arrived yet.
I look their eighth best in
in sort of eight from the bottom in goals scoring
flames are last goals against
they're both kind of in the middle of the pack
they lean on their goalies a ton and it's not going to be sexy
but look they're huge points for both teams
if you have the east jack we may as well do it right now
like here's what the aisles are playing for it
just because they sold doesn't mean they're not in this thing
like they're a couple of wins away from
punting Montreal out
like look at that they're two points out of a playoff spot
that's what this hot run you talked about has got them
and Ottawa has been very good up until recently they dropped a couple
in a row in Montreal that was a big one last night obviously
head to head but they they're in the mix
if you'd have said Islanders before Rangers
at any point you'd have been thinking you're crazy but yeah
Columbus has cooled off too and yeah it was it was overtime last night
for Montreal did you see the Suzuki goal that called offside oh man
Yeah.
A razor blade.
You go to overtime with the Islanders, Islanders went.
Huge.
Yeah.
Or a two assist night for Ilya Sorokin if you need it.
No way.
Yeah.
Golly assists.
Let's go.
That's right.
Hockey North America is Calgary's best run adult recreational hockey league since
1988.

Even I'm coming or I'm figuring it out.
Old fart that I am.
I'm like, yeah,
the QR codes are pretty easy, eh?
Yeah, stupid.
Yeah.
They are just.
Jack,
how's our QR code coming for the candy bracket?
Don't ask.
Yeah,
just hit the,
hit the QR code.
So there you go.
Love it.
You mentioned Barbara,
gonna get 100 bucks off.
Are you right shot or left shot D?
I'm trying to remember.
Left shot D?
You got to skate backwards for D.
I'm,
I hold my stick right handed.
Unlike Mike Keenan,
who I think had the right handed stick,
but held it left handed in practice.
Are you serious?
Yeah.
Oh, wow.
Mike's an interesting, dude.
It's one word.
Say the least.
All right, let's get to our insider.
He is standing by.
It's the insider hotline of presentation of Crystal Waters,
plumbing, and heating.
Again, Barnburner customers,
eating into hot water heater,
AC or furnace discounts,
and upgrades up to $1,000 in value.
Pays to be on the program, right?
Crystal Waters, solution for all budgets,
including financing, affordable payment plans.
It's the heartbeat of your home.
No better person, no better people,
to trust it with than Crystal Waters, plumbing and heating.
Crystal Clearcallegory.com is the website.
As we welcome, TSN Hockey Insider and our bud, Darren Drager on a Friday.
Were you down in, were you in Florida?
I was.
Hobnobbin and Kibbtson and all that down there?
That's quite a gig.
It was an excellent gig, but it had a twist to it.
So my lovely wife decided this would be one of the trips,
few that she accompanies me on.
We flew out to West Palm on Sunday, Sunday afternoon.
So we get there, I don't know, probably around 3 o'clock in the afternoon.
Well, by 6 p.m., she is in the rapper sick as a dog.
No.
Yeah.
Like fever, chills, the whole night.
And really never surfaced, never left the hotel room until Wednesday.
And then I, you could probably hear it a little bit.
Tuesday I wake up.
I'm not feeling great.
This is a little rough.
So anyway, I mean, that aside, now it's a good location.
There was no breaking news.
But this was one of the rare March meetings where, okay, no rule tweaks and changes.
We can live with that.
I mean, just leave the game alone.
That's the camp that I'm in.
Just leave it alone.
Have conversation, which is what they did.
but this was more about making sure that the world knows that some of the things that they've incorporated,
video review, things like that, specific goalie interference, they're working.
And they went through that exhaustive exercise with their general managers to prove to everyone,
maybe the general managers included that the hockey operations people actually know what they're doing
inside, you know, the situation room and whatnot.
So there were some small takeaways that,
made the meetings there, I think, valuable.
Yeah.
Go ahead, Ryan.
Yeah, so it's just, like, there really wasn't anything big.
We talked about cut resistant stuff.
As you said, it was tutorials on this is, this isn't goalie interference,
reminders to the, you know, the powers that be of how these things are judged.
And then a day after everyone leaves, then we get the expansion bombshell from Emily Kaplan.
You're like, everyone was just there, Gary.
Come on.
And he doesn't like this stuff public.
No, no, no, we're not looking at it.
Well, yeah, you are.
You're behind the scenes schmoozing with everyone, and you have been forever.
Well, yeah, and I'm not defending, but in fairness to that process,
I don't remember a meeting other than this one where the assembled media didn't ask him about potential of expansion.
Every single meeting we ask about that.
And I remember being in that scrum in December at the board of governor's meeting,
which is the owner's meeting where it's probably more appropriate to talk about that.
and he just didn't have much of an update with anything.
He just said, no, no, no, Tom.
The one thing I would qualify,
and I'm not trying to throw dust on the reporting here
because the Friedkin group has been around for a while.
And as Emily Kaplan identifies in her ESPN piece,
you know, they have made several gestures
and have had a number of different conversations and meetings
with the commissioner's office
to talk about the idea of expansion into Houston.
So I think that that would have been his response if we'd have asked him at some point this week.
What he's never willing to do is provide a timeline.
In the last couple of years, he hasn't said, no, no, we're not going to expand anymore.
He does admit that there are lots of people.
There's tremendous wealth around the world, around North America,
and parties who want to be in the NHL family.
In this case, it's interesting to me because we also know that Houston,
is a market that the NHL thinks would fly for a number of different reasons.
You know, the obvious rivalry with the Dallas stars, you know,
a major market from a media perspective, a TV standpoint.
And probably most importantly, it all, doesn't it just all talk about dollars?
The end of the day, that's what we're talking about here.
And the expansion franchise free has got to be north of $2 billion with a B.
So you're talking about
big, big numbers that make other owners
around the national hockey.
You go, okay, yeah, the talent pool
in hockey is getting more shallow
and more shallow.
You can understand that.
You know, it gets more.
The other part to it, I know I'm rambling a little bit here,
but when you're adding more teams,
and Batman did talk about this,
he's always loath to change
what the playoff structure looks like,
be it the number of teams in the playoffs
or the Matrix.
Doesn't want to tinker with it.
So now you're going to go to 34 teams
and still have 16 teams making the playoffs.
I mean, when you continue to expand
and it sure looks like the NHL is going to expand,
then you absolutely finally have to be open
to significant change in other areas.
And I just, I've never been able to see why it's a bad thing
to have more teams in the playoffs
as opposed to the 16 that have been there forever.
and ever and ever.
Okay, so I'll counter that just with a thought.
Is there a professional sports playoff as good as the NHL's first round?
Not as we talk today.
There isn't.
You look at some of the matches.
Don't fix it thing, right.
No, you're right, Ryan.
But the flip side to that is people bitch and complain about it every single year.
You get Edmonton, L.A., who's Colorado?
Well, Dallas, Colorado.
I was just looking because Dallas, if it's a 1V8, however you want to look at it.
Dallas would be the second seat and that would get you Minnesota or whoever, St. Louis, at the bottom.
But you get Colorado in round one, which is right.
I get to see it though, right?
That's the other side.
You might not have get to see it otherwise.
And that's, it sucks it's round one in a way, but that's why we're round one so good.
You get these tightens flying each other sometimes.
And it's why I don't vehemently argue this because the Trump card for me is if you're going to hoist that trophy, the Stanley Cup,
we got to beat everybody in the process, right?
So if Dallas is the true top Stanley Cup contender,
and it sure looks like they are,
I think a lot of us thought that.
I mean, there are other teams in Colorado's in that conversation too.
But as difficult as it is,
and of course we know that a Stanley Cup contender in that series
is going to be ousted in round one,
okay, then you weren't a top contender.
Sorry, it looked like you were,
but to hoist the Stanley Cup,
you've got to beat everybody in four rounds.
So I just, I think with more numbers of teams, again, through expansion,
I don't, I don't think it would be just a significant issue for the National Hockey League
and the schedule makers to go, okay, well, let's just bump into 20 playoff teams and see what happens.
It'd be an easy fix.
Yeah, I think the expansion thing is a great point.
This league has never had less than half make the playoffs.
In fact, you look at the ages it was a 21 team.
Yeah, almost everyone got in.
Yeah.
So, and I know that they talked about the All-Star game,
especially now with Four Nations and it's,
well, the Islanders and their fans have been promised a All-Star and they are,
they deserve this.
And so as they're trying to kind of dance around.
It was a great event.
I don't know.
I mean,
if you want to compare it against an All-Star,
you want to try and replicate that.
I think that's a tough,
task.
I don't know.
I like that they're recognizing that,
that it's not broken, that it definitely needs some amending,
which is rare from Gary,
because usually everything is good, as you say.
But I am curious to see what they're going to try
or how they're going to approach All-Star Games
slash weekends moving forward.
Well, and it's a tough one to sell, right?
Even though, again, the league would say it isn't.
And it's not for the jaded hockey fan.
It's for the local hockey fan.
And for the sponsors of the game locally and nationally,
that's where they get their reward.
and they get to see these players in an environment that isn't supercharged and intense and all of that.
Well, again, the counter to that is, well, that's what makes the game special.
And we just saw that at the Four Nations, right, where the players bought in 100% bought it.
But now that you have an international calendar that rolls every two years,
is it imperative to have that All-Star weekend because you've got these other showcase events?
And, you know, the league will make do and its promise to the owners of the New York Islanders.
They will get an event.
We just don't know what that event is.
And is it an on-ice event?
I mean, it sounds a little goofy, but, you know, all these great players are going to be funneling through the New York area on their way to the Olympics in Italy.
You know, could you have some sort of fancy gala or some sort of media availability or something to justify just the New York.
Islanders are a historic franchise and this is a stop and the NHL getting back into the Olympic game.
I don't know.
I know that the league is going to do right by the New York Islanders, but I think the future
of the NHL All-Star most definitely is in jeopardy and right now is absolutely in question.
Can I make a suggestion?
Because I've heard this talked about a bunch by people like yourself.
The game's cooked.
It's not going to happen.
I still like the skills.
Yeah.
And you could easily make a Canada skills team, a USA skills team, a Europe skills team.
And those are all the players we're going to be watching the following days at the Olympics,
just leaning right into what we know is going to be a huge marquee event.
Like to have the pros back at the Olympics for the first time since Sochi 12 years ago.
Like, yeah, would we lean into that?
I think that it comes down to whether the players care, right?
The skills they always do.
Like, come rip it, right?
Yeah, they, I mean, Kutcherov dog it in terms.
Toronto, but I think it's a better shot than the game.
It's hard.
It is hard.
That's on the horizon so closely after.
And they're careful not to want to overtax the players, right?
Like from that competitive aspect, because, you know, next season, if you look at the schedule
next year, and it's going to be a challenging one, you know, they have 14 fewer calendar
days to work with.
Well, you're going to get a number of, you know, back to backs.
And I think there'll be stretches where teams are actually playing five games in seven days.
Just nonsense.
But what are you going to do, you know, given the matrix of starting,
which they declared next season, I think the regular season opener is October 7th.
So unless you're playing in September, which I have talked about, you know,
and staying on your calendar of then hoisting the cup in June, you know, you're not adding more days.
so it gets more of a challenge just trying to get rest for the players.
And to the, I mean, to the point of we have, is, is the league broken?
It is not.
You look around, it's going to be a fight to the finish in the Atlantic.
You've got three teams there within a couple points of each other.
Washington is stretched out and it's going to be Carolina, New Jersey, and the west.
In the Pacific, Vegas, man, they looked good last night against Boston.
They just exploded.
I watched the tail end of that one.
Edmonton and L.A. are in a fight.
They're probably going to play each other.
but who's at who's at home.
No dry sidle to start the game last night.
Stu Skinner leaves due to concussion protocol.
And then David kind of gets tangled up with Josh Morrissey and leaves.
It just feels like things aren't going the Oilers way.
I'm not, this isn't the Calgary guy, but I just,
there's some,
there's some hand wringing going on up north right now.
There is,
as long as what we've seen of late and the injuries that you talked about,
including the last night,
are what they described.
in their day-to-day.
And they're nothing more than that, right?
Because that's when you get into the dangerous territory.
And we've already seen this.
You know, you get into the playoffs,
especially when you go as deep as the Ointers went last year.
And we know Leon Dries Saddle for a good chunk of that playoff push wasn't healthy.
He just wasn't.
And, you know, when you think of top world-class players like that,
you'll want to see them playing at their best.
You know, the issue that you have, the Ointers,
is there isn't a playoff spot that's being jeopardized here.
but you can't really get into the mode of load management either, can you?
Unless you do it right now, you know, because, you know, if Leon clearly is day-to-day
and Connor McDavid all of a sudden is day-to-day, well, if day-to-day extends into 10 days,
I think you have to be able and willing to live with that for the greater good, obviously,
because if all of a sudden these guys come back after a couple of games and, you know,
with treatment, they slowly get better.
and then you get an aggravation in game 80 of the regular season.
Well, you're no further ahead.
So, yeah, I think that there's some cause for concern,
but I didn't get the sense.
And again, there's more evaluation and more testing
that needs to get done from a medical perspective.
But when I checked this morning, it didn't sound like there was anything
that they were deeply worried about.
These wild card races look like they're going to be really good.
Like, we'd all counted the islanders dead,
especially after they trade Brock Nelson.
Yeah.
They're on a nice little heater.
two points out. Habs have been a great story.
Rangers still hanging around.
And then out West, it seems like one spot for four teams.
Utah got to win last night, too, aside from all the talk about Calgary, Vancouver and St. Louis.
Yeah.
But, you know, how about St. Louis?
I mean, there's just something about that team.
I was going to bring them up.
You know, Doug Armstrong does stuff.
We're like, what does Doug Armstrong see?
And these guys, what is he?
Cam Fowler, why are you making these kind of deals?
and then you're trading guy.
Oh, they're in it.
Well, they're in it.
And so I'm going to tell you a quick story.
And I don't know.
We probably talked about this back in January when it went down.
But Armstrong was so sour with how that team was playing that, you know,
he barged into the dressing room at one point and just read him the riot act.
And literally like, hey, I don't care what kind of trade protection you think you have.
I'll find a way.
Like, I am not going to tolerate this sort of this sort of play.
So if you're not invested and you're not invested and you're not.
not putting it on the line, then let me know, and we'll figure something out.
Like that's, and that sounds really heavy-handed.
And when I found out about it at the time through a player agent, Doug didn't want to talk
about it. He didn't want it out there, but I'm like, come on, man.
Like, this is just, this is such a St. Louis way of doing things, you know.
But, you know, they've got top end guys that are in a back half of their career that
just want to win, just fly don't want to win. And I think of Jordan Bennington, I think
of Braden Shann, go down the list, right?
And they're okay with their name being top of mind
and trade speculation leading up to the deadline.
Do I think that Doug Armstrong was going to trade his captain?
Now, not unless somebody would have really overpaid,
but they were fine with the players being uncomfortable
because it almost kind of rejigged their focus
and it intensified that focus into what they really have to drill down on.
And so now, I mean, yeah,
they're in a wildcard spot in the West.
But I'd be surprised if they continue to move up.
No, no, because they have the pieces.
I don't think they have the horses to run with the better teams in either conference,
but I think that they've got enough there to keep it interesting and make some noise.
I do.
I was just looking, Kyru's got nine points in his last four games.
Dylan Holloway is up to 23.
I think he scored last night.
Broberg gets the overtime winner.
I'm Holloway.
Yep.
Yeah, there's, it's, it's not, maybe not a master class, but Armstrong, he's, obviously
his fingerprints are all over because he's been there forever, but that's, yeah, that was a huge,
a huge, not franchise changing, but it's, it's part of the course of the direction they're on
right now that was massive.
And I wonder if other teams are going to look at and say, look, yeah, for the cost of some
picks and dollars, they are, they're obviously better on the ice.
No question.
And look, I just did a segment before I came on with Marty Burra and Brian.
and Brian Duff, Sabres Live in Buffalo.
And they asked the same question.
And I can tell you that there are lots of managers
who would love to do what Doug Armstrong did.
And every team in the National Hockey League has a list of the restricted free agents
who they would circle as being worthy of that offer sheet consideration.
And then a minute-by-minute cap profile on that team
and projections on why this team is vulnerable.
So of course teams are paying attention to it.
But those cap spending teams are also teams that maybe learned less than that the Edmonton Oilers took right between the eyes, right between the eyes.
You can't put yourself in that situation.
And if you do, then you've got to be willing to kind of give up on one, but not both.
Like they had to decide, okay, Dylan Holloway, we don't love the number that we're going to pay you right now.
but we're going to pay you because the one thing that we can't give up on
is more speed in this lineup.
And that's what they did.
In Broberg, I mean, that kid had asked for a trade,
what, once, twice, like, I don't know.
I mean, he was in the American League,
thought that he was an NHL defenseman and he wasn't.
And then he gets time later in the year and in the playoffs.
He looks pretty damn good.
And everybody around Edmondson is like, ooh, geez, you know,
it looks like they were right to make sure this guy was overseas.
And then he's gone too.
And they didn't do anything to replace those pieces.
I mean, you could say Walman now is a nice ad or could be,
will be to the Oilers Blue Line.
But Arbenson and Skinner, the money invested there doesn't make sense to allowing the St. Louis Blues
to come and pick your pocket on Holloway and Broberg.
So everybody keeps waving the offer sheet threat.
You know, is Bob Byram on top Canada.
Hey, Matthew Nye is in Toronto.
was an RFA.
I mean, go down the list.
Yeah, but every GM that has those players says the same thing.
Go ahead, try.
You know what?
Like I think we'll figure it out.
Yeah.
Here in Calgary, we talk about it all the time.
How do you get star players?
Well, you've got to finish in the bottom five and draft them.
We know that the flames and Craig Conroy were in to a certain extent on offer sheeting
the two guys that went to St. Louis last year and just it didn't go through with it.
And I just wonder between you need your own picks and they got those.
and you need some cap space and some real money to spend and they got all that too.
I wonder if that is maybe one of those approaches that we hear, as we talk about them every day,
don't spend enough time focusing on.
Maybe that's how you get your star or close to it is by way of an offer sheet.
Well, I don't wonder.
I know that that's what Calgary's looking at.
The other thing, though, we can remember that you're alluding to, Dregs, is like,
sorry, Ryan, did you have something?
Just wanted you to keep going there, Dregs.
No, I just, Calgary is one of those.
teams for everything that you just said, Boomer, that makes sense.
And it's not like Craig Connery hasn't made trades.
Of course he's made trades.
And, you know, he was one of the more persistent general managers in on Dylan Cousins with the Buffalo Sabres.
And he ends up in Ottawa.
Sometimes you don't have the playing capital to, or you don't want to break up your
NHL roster, you know, to try and get better in a different area.
But you still want to navigate through the trade process and have meaningful trade negotiations.
but you still come up empty-handed at certain times.
And because Calgary has the pieces required,
why wouldn't you?
I don't doubt for a second that the Calgary Flames
will be among the most aggressive in that area.
I don't.
I think that.
But again, I'm repeating myself and saying,
sure, everybody wants to pat Doug Armstrong on the back
because he pulled off this great heist.
And he did.
Those are too high quality young.
players. Terrific, terrific ads by the St. Louis Blues. But every cap team is sitting there going,
well, that ain't happening to me. We're not making the mistakes at Jeff Jackson and Stan
moment and by extension, Kenny Hall in Maine. We're not doing that, but Calgary's going to try.
Yeah, and that's the point you're making that like all the wanting to do, it's great, but it was a
rookie GM that walked himself into that trouble. He didn't keep an ARB case for a second buyout window.
He spent a ton of money, July 1 on guys where he could have put it in a drawer like Lamarillo does,
and that doesn't put them up against the cap.
This was a huge blunder by a first-time GM that allowed St. Louis the opportunity.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, there's so many mulligans that could be taken and how they managed through that process in Edmonton.
But, hey, from our perspective, guys who have to fill air time on shows like this,
I hope that we're talking about this.
really truly do. Because if I were a manager, I would try. Why wouldn't you? Hey, if you want to
box yourself in as a team in the National Hockey League and you want to try and overripen one of
your up-and-comers, that's on you. But the agents have a job and that is to represent their
clients to the best of their ability and make them the most money. And if the fit isn't right
with the team that you're in for whatever reason, or they don't, you know, you know,
the negotiation isn't going anyway.
It just, it gets a little greasy
when all of a sudden, you know,
two guys end up at the same place.
You wonder how that could possibly be
in such a short period
of time.
But I honestly, when you
look at the restricted free agent class
this year, there are lots of pieces, lots
of players that we could envision the Calgary
Flames and other teams circling
and knowing would be
great ads.
Most of the teams would say, look, we'll match,
and we'll figure out a way to comply
and get into the salary cap arena before puck drop.
And that's what matters, right?
So you can offer sheet, as long as you comply
by game one of the regular season,
and that's all that matters.
So you can make tougher decisions before the season starts.
Okay, so I want to ask you both.
If you want to get a player over, let's say,
4.6 million was the cutoff yet last year.
It probably comes a little higher.
You've got to use your own first.
If you, each of you are the GM of the Calgary.
flames. Are you comfortable putting your first round
pick on the table to chase someone
like a Byram, like a Nyes,
whoever, which other RFA
is the apple of your eye, knowing you might
just be a Dustin Wolf injury away from that
being like a top five pick and a
superstar or a lot of everyone that turns into
McKenna. Would you do it or not? Because
that's the real tough one I think Connie's going
to face is that I'll start.
I'll fuck some middle guys, but to get someone
over fired, that's first. I'll do it.
I'll do it because you also
have to look at your Nazim Codries and your
Jonathan Hubertoes who are playing pretty well, right?
And the window, even though it's not wide open, is somewhat open.
And you're trying to transition on the fly when you're doing that.
But if you're waiting for that first round, top five, top six, top 10, top 15 pick to materialize,
best case scenario, you're three to five years down the road.
And you're in it in a different cycle.
And it also depends on the player we're talking about.
I would like Matthew nyes isn't going to happen because Toronto would match they just wouldn't allow themselves to be threatened in that world and in the Bo Byram situation is also unique because I'm not sure Bo Byram wants to extend in Buffalo.
I mean there's been so much stuff there.
So if his message is I'm not extending then you know maybe Kevin Adams at the draft here just figures out well I'm not going to take the risk and he moves them out anyway.
But if you were, if it was as simple as giving up a first round peck and you got Matthew Nyes back.
Yeah.
Every day of the week.
Like he's probably getting at 30.
And he's like 220 pounds.
Like he's a beast.
That's what I.
And that was going to be.
My answer is I would do, I would do it for Nyes.
Yeah.
Because on the flip side, I agree.
I think I might be able to make some kind of a trade for Byron.
I might be able to get him.
They're never trading Nyes.
So if I can, if I can force their hand and.
Yeah.
Carolina tried for Miko Raton and Toronto just now they they had conversation with
Marner even though he had the no move as we know but they wouldn't even consider nice
not even remotely.
And I guess just before we go we talked about them the other day because we see I'm sure
you saw Toronto dismantled the flames before they went in and dismantled the Rangers.
I just went and looked at the Rangers and I don't see a lot of UFAs.
They're locked into that this can be a long summer if they're.
They missed the Islanders making it before the Rangers.
Who would have thought if that impact happens?
Yeah, that's a fair point.
And I also wonder about knowing how volatile the ownership is of the New York Rangers
and both those teams, the Islanders and the Rangers could see change.
You know, I just saw Lou Lamarolo at the GM meetings, man.
He looks as healthy as a horse.
Like he hasn't aged a day in 30 years.
Like it's remarkable, you know.
But here's a guy that at some point he's going to go, okay, well, I've been an
NHL general manager and executive for several decades.
It's probably time to get out of the way.
And I don't know that that's imminently happening this season.
But if it did, you know, would the look of the islanders change, you know,
in the eye of Patrick Gwa and the players that he sees and wants to come in?
With the New York Rangers, undoubtedly there will be additional changes.
And Chris Dury, I mean, he has been aggressive this year.
A lot of it through necessity.
But this whole season has been a year of up.
evil. You know, you go back to the Jake Trubas situation. Chris Kreider finding out he's on the trade
block, like just all kinds of nasty stuff that kind of put the New York Rangers in the toilet
early on. So when I think of change in New York, I mean, maybe it's front office change. Maybe it is
the general manager. Maybe it's Peter Laville, let another coach off the bench in New York.
You know, then I look at the roster and I wonder about Zabanajad. You know, I happen to like Lefrenier,
but there's always kind of low-level, you know, mutterings around him.
And then on and on and on it goes.
So two pretty big clubs that might look a lot different next year.
All right, buddy.
Is it bourbon and honey?
Is that what you do for a, for a sort of?
I don't know.
You know, Peter Marr used to, it was like a weird vinegar cocktail.
It was vinegar, yeah.
Yeah.
Was it like red cider or just white vinegar?
He just, I never saw it.
He just said he would take a bit.
take vinegar and gargle it or a
regular oil too he always said. A few sips
and then he'd be he'd be good to go.
I did the
2000, we got to wrap up here, but I did the
05 men's world championship.
I was the analyst with
Peter.
And I mean, I was
starstruck in there and obviously
it was Canada, a Ginnla is playing
and two or three times he
would say, you know,
Gindle comes out of the Canadian zone.
And I'm like, and then he's,
say Calgary because he kind of get lost every once in love.
Yeah.
Oh yeah.
I loved every second, but ever then, you know, in the, in the, uh, the commercial break,
he'd take a sip of something and I'm like,
swimming hockey here, what's going on?
Yeah.
It's a flem cutter.
That's what that is.
That's right.
Yeah, good stuff.

Feeling's going to be kind of a big team, a big game for both teams for different reasons.
Yeah.
This another game we thought would be a meaningless spring game.
in a lost season, but stakes looking really high for Calgary.
And the other stuff, fight for home ice as Dregs talked about.
That's right.
L.A.'s got games in hand and I think one or two points back of them.
Yeah, Kings are right there.
They have won six of seven.
All of a sudden, the oilers, maybe.
I've got some injuries to deal with.
Anyway, next Saturday, be there.

Honda where, of course, they want to buy that used vehicle.
They want it so bad.
They're just poor, you know, I think of Tanya and everybody up there just kind of rolling,
trying to get some sleep, can't do it.
They want those vehicles.
More cars.
Oh, man.
Let them get some sleep.
Go in and get your complimentary appraisal, would you?
Payment within 24 hours, competitive trade, buy-in values, best of all, easy, stress-free.
You can begin your appraisal process.
And you're where you think, well, I'm not really, maybe you should think about it.
Maybe you're not even thinking about it.
Well, you know, we do have a pre-home.
Maybe it is timed up.
Well, I don't know that.
If you got a least to return to another dealership, you want to trade it in your vehicle,
you're looking somewhere else.
First, just give them a shot.
Let them appraise your vehicle.
You might be very thankful that you did.
Village Honda, your dealership for life.
And they present to the...
Ryan Pindor.
Pinna, a report.
Yes, a big one last night.
A game for maybe this season.
Ryan Pike penned this from somewhere in the New York area.
Want to understand the flames?
Watch their win over New Jersey.
He nails it.
It's a team that has pretty much unquestioned work ethic.
Down to 20 to play.
Lowest score in the team in the league.
Don't care.
Big saves, absolutely.
Good piece penned just hours ago by Pike.
And yeah, it did feel like a season-altering one at the time.
That was an L after 40 minutes.
You would have put your mortgage on it.
instead of 5-3 victory for the second time since, you know,
the calendar turned from January to February,
they get more than three goals.
Incredible.
It comes back to we talk about all the time.
If you had just a little bit more offense, right?
Augment a bit on the blue line.
If you've got this guy in net and if you can get some timely goals,
your power plate chips in,
it's how it's going to have to be for the,
you know, for this team for at least the next year or so,
it feels like, man, it does make you think.
you could really kind of upset some apple carts the rest of the way and into the playoffs
if you can get a little more goals, a little more goal scoring.
Yeah.
And look, they're by points percentage they're in.
It's wild.
They're actually in a playoff spot.
If they had to do the COVID shutdown, they're in San Luis's out.
Because, of course, the two games in hand and just being two points back, we'll get to
some of the crazy results from last night as well.
Last night was nuts.
It wasn't just out west either.
Frank Baum, Frank Baum, it's a Frank Baum.
Blues win.
After the Canucks tie it in the final four seconds,
they jump into eighth,
but the flames have points percentage.
Canucks still get a point as well.
Utah got a win.
Habs get within three of the senators who are on a mini skid.
Islanders now just a couple points out of a playoff spot.
It was a wild night in the NHL.
Oh, and by the way, yeah, the Caps clinched the first playoff spot.
Jets hit 100 points.
And Ovi, another goal.
He's six back of time.
Is it six?
Six back of time.
seven from the record. That's right. Yeah, seven away. He's got 35, this is Ovi, 35 in 53 games this year,
13 in his last 19, and he's got 13 games left to get seven. You can't, you can't cool down a lot,
but it is, it's conceivable. When he got hurt, it was so sad because he had that great start
to the year. Last year, he was stuck on like three or four goals, like well into November,
December, I think, and it was like, oh, shoot, this is going to fall flat. He has the monster
finish. We see the beach volleyball
photos and you're like, I don't know.
I don't know, OV, do you really want it that bad? And he's been
awesome all year. And then the injury, you're like, shit, well,
that's next year now, I guess. He's over a half goal a game.
He's almost 40.
Tom Wilson hit 30 goals last night. Yeah.
30. Wow. I was just kind of looking at Pavl Dorofiev
and Tom Wilson both hit 30 goals last night.
Crazy stuff. Let's go to these standings.
We showed you them a little earlier in the show,
but if you think it's exciting in the West,
look how many teams are involved here.
I mean, you're a good week from Boston, Detroit, Columbus,
away from them being in a wild card two.
Ottawa was within four points of home ice in the Atlantic a week ago.
Now all of a sudden, ooh, okay, Montreal is within three now.
And they only got one point last night.
This will be fun.
We're going to have lots of really good games in March and April.
And there's been a lot of years that we've watched this,
league where was it two years ago in the east?
You're like, yeah, the teams are the teams.
Like you can fold the tent here in early March, late Feb.
But lots still to unfold here in the east.
Yeah, Jack, it's not pretty.
They've lost five in a row.
And seven of eight blanked four times in those seven.
They are one of two teams in action tonight.
We'll get to that in a moment.
Here are your odds to make the playoffs from our friends at Bet,
365. Calgary at plus 230 to get in.
St. Louis plus 160.
Vancouver plus 180.
Those are the three highest odds in the West.
Obviously Utah is still around, but a way bigger number plus 650.
And out east, the Habs plus 175, sports books like them, which makes some sense.
They're the incumbents right now in Wild Card 2.
Let's go back in history.
Fun day in Calgary Flames history.
What was it?
Who was it?
Well, just one of the legends for all time.
Lanny, 1989.
What a year.
How about a cup?
How about leaving on top?
How about goal 500?
Oh, and you scored it and felt like a cup clenching goal in the forum.
It was this day in 89, he hit 500.
What a season to go out on.
If only, you know, if only were a decent guy on top of all of that.
Right.
Yeah.
Be quite a human being, if that were the case.
The Order of Canada, kind of California.
Right.
That's a missing, I guess.
Love you, Lanny.
Islanders, too, they'll play tomorrow.
Last night, here you all, your finals.
It was a huge slate of 14 games, just won tonight.
It's another 14 tomorrow.
I looked huge Saturday slate will be fun.
And there's some other great results in there as well.
Cains are absolutely rolling after having to flip Rantanin.
You said you noted the Vegas explosion late.
Oilers limping a bit.
Jets will get to them in a second.
They're making some waves.
Let's get to item 11, Jack.
What do we have here?
Oh, yeah, there are.
Just our first team punching their ticket.
No surprise that they're the first to do it.
If you're just tuned in a week ago,
if this was September, you'd think you were taking crazy pills.
Excuse me?
Which team clinched first?
The minus differential.
No way they get back in the playoffs.
Caps?
Impressive season.
They were the last team in last year.
Game 82, they qualified this year,
the first to do it wild uh jets they get to an impressive total 100 points boom they got no one's talking
about nikolai eilers he's a free agent this summer you know so is neil peonk who's having a monster
year but hurt right now yeah i don't think they care though they did the same thing with what to shifley
and hellabuck a couple years ago it's like yeah we'll deal with that in the off season eilers is so
injury riddled it's i mean i understand why the jets wouldn't have maybe extended them yet or why
team, well, maybe why you haven't heard a lot, but he's a hell of a player.
And yeah, Connor scores the overtime winner last night.
Yeah, and Eilers can fly.
He is having a healthy year, which is a good time to do it, I'd suggest, right?
I think it has something to do with his pelvic floor.
I don't know.
Really?
Yeah.
And more on that in a moment.
Yeah.
Connor Hellbuck, meanwhile, 40 wins.
That leads the league.
He's going to win your Vezna.
It's not close.
Every year, he's a finalist, it seems.
If he isn't, it's like, ooh, bad year.
Is this the guy?
He's a big dude.
One thing missing.
Where's a lot of gear?
Yeah, he covers some net.
Yeah, he wears a lot of gear.
The only thing elusive in his career of the playoff success that, you know, there's been
expectations around some of these teams.
We'll see if that changes this year.
Oilers, we, you mentioned it and Elliot tweeted it last night.
Okay, so dry saddle didn't play.
He's day to day.
McDavid leaves after 40.
Skinner looked like it might have been a concussion protocol or,
precautionary, but he leaves.
Ooh, not a great night. They also fall to, said Jets, who have been a tricky out for them.
It didn't look like anything super violent that sent Skinner to the back.
And some guys got, we saw it with, I'm trying to think the other day, it was guys go to the
back all the time. Hanley, I think it was. And then you come back. Okay, you've cleared protocol.
It seemed like Skinner was going to come back, but he never did. And then I don't know if, I don't
he stops the shot from Connor in overtime anyway, but Pickard takes the L.
Pickard.
Okay.
Hey,
made your own bed.
Big news from Emily Kaplan of ESPN.
We talked about with Dreger.
Expansion, expansion, expansion.
We know Gary and the owners love expansion.
Why?
Well,
it's, you know,
hundreds of millions of dollars,
if not billions now that they just get to share and not have to give to the players.
Thanks for being in the club.
Here's a check for $30 million or something like that.
Houston makes sense, huge market.
The ownership group already that is flirting with the league owns a team in the
Premiership and one in Syria.
And here's self-proclaimed super agent Alan Walsh.
As I've said several times recently, two expansion teams are coming.
Expect Houston, Atlanta.
And he's guessing at a billion and a half.
Elliot was suggesting two, Dregor thinking they might get more than two.
either way, quite a bit more than the 500 Vegas paid seven years ago.
It's crazy.
It shouldn't be surprised, I guess.
That's just how the world works.
But it's on that scale.
Oh, 1.2.
No, we're in the billions.
So 1.7 is different than 1.3 by a considerable margin.
One of the more recent sales was Tampa Bay as,
I'm trying to remember, Vinnie Viola.
No, that's the Panthers.
That's the Panthers, yeah.
Anyway, it's just an elusive name.
It's not important.
1.8 billion for Tampa, which again, not a huge market, not nearly as big as Houston and not a traditional hockey market.
I don't know why the league wouldn't at least make that their floor.
I'm sure they've got it to.
I'm sure they've got it figured out.
I don't know that we're going to be, oh man, that's not, that's not a lot of money.
They've really sold low.
That really kind of sold low here.
It's weird.
All right.
prospective ownership group.
I'd like you to write down a number.
And when you write that down, then double it,
then hand me the piece of paper.
Yeah.
Then I'll hand you a paper and you can just nod your head and then we'll move on.
Yeah.
I'll tell you more and then you'll either leave the room without a franchise or you'll say yes.
Okay, tonight one game.
Let's take a look at it.
Not the best, but not the worst.
Jack's going to be fired up for this.
Or is he?
The stumbling suddenly blue jackets who've been a Cinderella story this year.
and the refusing to tank into a top five pick
where you can get a good player in this year's draft penguins.
Jack, where are we at here?
So there's four March Madness game starting at five.
So if I can find a fifth TV, I'll watch this.
That's where it's ranking.
Okay.
Yeah.
Got it.
We'll revisit this game in our Bet365 bets as well.
Man, Malroyle University, you noted it yesterday,
an incredible season.
I was at their last game in Calgary.
They defeated the Golden Bears.
They then lose in Saskatchew under the Huskies.
But because they're one of the last two standing in Canada West,
they get the invite to what they're calling the University Cup,
an eight-team bracket in Ottawa.
They had a Toronto University that I was not familiar with.
Toronto Metropolitan University.
Okay.
I want you to look at the scorebug.
There must be an error boom, because it says 5-O-T.
What does 50T mean?
Yeah.
Fifth overtime.
I ended up watching this whole thing.
I was doing stuff here.
Because it started when we were doing the show yesterday.
Yeah.
And it went all day.
Six hours, 33 minutes.
They even had like a, there was problems with the ice that probably cost them close to an hour before they went into the first overtime.
Goal posts.
And by the end, you hear it all the time.
It's going to be an ugly one.
it was not great.
They just had nothing left.
There was,
you felt for those guys.
So I don't know if it makes it easier or harder or what,
but that is,
man.
Better than the coin toss that you saw at the local rink.
Yeah,
that's one way to do it.
Yeah,
I see Tyler was saying,
well,
how come no,
no.
Yeah,
I know.
I hear you.
Six hours and 45 minutes.
Heartbreak,
but an incredible year.
Congrats to,
to Bert.
And the Cougars, I know they're not feeling great,
but that's a whale of a season for,
I guess what,
what, 10 years they've been in new sports?
They were ACAC before that as a college.
Yeah.
It's a great story.
And you,
you know,
what do you,
what do you,
what do you say when you go in the room?
You don't say anything.
No one,
they're too tired to listen.
So,
and there's nothing you can say that's going to make them feel any better.
Yeah.
And if you want to watch it goes on YouTube,
There's the time stamp that I've erroed.
Just a smooth seven-hour broadcast.
Again, if you start it today, you'll be done at dinner time.
Right.
If you start right now and have no plans this afternoon, you should be able to take it all in.
My God.
That's longer than that afterburner we did.
It ended so brilliantly.
Well, now we have a challenge.
Now the bar has been set.
Yeah, I'll leave you in Gould to that.
How's that sound?
Sure.
Major League Baseball.
Jack, we're children, and we love dumb stuff.
How was the game between the Phillies and the pirates?
It was poop.
Dumb.
Really dumb.
Dumb.
Yeah.
Dumb.
Canada last night in Los Angeles.
Oh, dear.
They allowed a goal in the first minute.
They look good at times, but the Mexicans were, well, clinical when they got their chances.
Tough loss.
There's a third place game coming up on the weekend.
Canada, USA, the Americans got toppled by Panama.
the only shot they had all game, 94th minute, 1-0 Panama.
Oh, don't take our canal, you crazy yanks.
So Canada, USA will be a third place game.
That's Sunday, I believe, at 4 Mountain Time.
You didn't catch the fever on that one, I'm guessing.
You were busy watching the U-sports.
Oh, I don't want to get into it because then I'll start talking.
It will be seven hours and I'll still be talking about the left back.
Alfonso Davies, yeah.
Yeah.
Should they be playing a higher line or?
I don't know.
I think it's high enough.
Good.
To golf, this was a lovely sequence.
So I just want everyone to listen, sound up.
A lot's happening.
And there's just the greatest kicker at the end.
Patton Kazire.
He's a three-time winner on the PGA tour and a little bit earlier today.
Oh, yeah, y'allies.
You don't want to see that.
Auditioning maybe for his NFL career.
My goodness.
That was about a 20-hour.
That would have been the field goal.
Are the bucks?
Extra point.
Are your bucks looking for a kicker?
No, I think they're comfortable with who they have.
Caput and Gassire ended up withdrawing due to a bad back.
It has been a very difficult 2025 for the Auburn Tiger.
Kicks the putter, bends the shaft, has to putt out with his sand wedge,
and then has to retire with a bad back,
which I'm sure has nothing to do with.
Yeah, right there you can, the lower lumbar.
Masters is coming up, by the way.
I believe April 10 to 14.
We got a pool coming.
Stay tuned for that.
Chance for you to win some awesome prizes.
And yeah, it's the Masters.
Crank up the music.
Book your vasectomies.
Get the couch wheeled in.
Let's go.
Optional on the vasectomies, but it's a play.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's a strategy.
Lots of crazy things going on in Germany.
We've seen the pretzel cutting.
We've seen the all kinds of weird games.
This, I believe, is the Forklift Championships.
Now, pay attention here.
Boy,
a whole hall fevered with.
Yes.
It turns.
And the rumphe
is stable.
He's stable.
Oh.
He's back.
Benhamine,
thank you.
Is that soft?
Is that good?
Is that cool?
Is that precise?
And now it's against the o'er.
The zinkin are out.
Nice.
Four minutes are wrong.
Yeah.
Great upset story.
Cut him a plus 400.
Great to see in the four-tl championships.
And you got to do the...
So who says it's not a sporting event, right?
It is.
Yeah.
I'm sure that's on 365, a very wide range of markets.
Yeah.
Man, he's going to be so pumped to go back to all the boys.
Yeah, back at the lumber yard.
Yeah.
Fuck you.
Yeah.
You did it, dude.
Forklifter in the world.
Shit ya.
If that's not your speed, maybe, you know, it's not forklifts.
Maybe it's emu slash ostrich races.
Let's have a look at this.
Yeah.
And here we go for the ostrich derby.
And they're off.
Cats don't zig for between horses for the lead.
Where's Dorinda on the inside?
And Bird here, Erratic on the outside.
Cats don't Zig is actually zagging on the outside.
But Cats Don't Zig is.
charging hard and drawing clear to win the ostrich derby.
Where's Dorinda was second, although there might be an inquiry.
And unfortunately, we have drivers.
Yeah, look out.
That's see.
Hi, that's Jack.
I've like, have we played this ostrichimey thing before.
He's like, I have no idea.
I have no idea.
No idea.
Rhett got that motorbike when he, one of his first paychecks in the NHL.
Right?
He told you, he's like, yeah, just delivered to my house.
I don't really know how to use it.
But then once he got comfy going around the block, look what he built here.
This is good.
the first sturdy jump oh my guys it's just nails and lumber what are we doing here
got a pallet on end so you're doing the ramp check out the speed check all right here we go
the helmet on that's good oh my god oh yeah even the dog was right yeah good good job
Tyler. You went by Tyler back then. Look at this there. Good. Yeah, good thing that, uh, landing ramp was there.
Holy geez. Again, it does make you wonder, how else was that going to end? And we don't often wonder if you're a
fervent consumer of the, uh, Pender report, why women live longer than men. Do you ever see women doing this?
It's always dudes. Boy, are we dumb. Oh. Good times.
Okay, that's it for the dumb shit.
I do want to give a shout out to a local hockey tournament
that is raising money for the kids cancer care.
This is the Raiders Stick It to Cancer Tournament.
Started yesterday.
The opening ceremonies are today.
They'd reached out saying, hey, any way you want to give us some love?
And it was like, tell us more.
They've raised almost $50,000 already for cancer research
over the history of the tournament.
So we thought we'd give them a little plug here.
opening ceremonies, times and venues are available.
There it is.
Most of the big games are at Max Bell, but five rinks in town.
Love that.
Lots of social handles.
You can find out more.
And the opening ceremonies, I believe, are this afternoon.
So all the teams will be there in their dark jerseys celebrating raising funds.
Their leaflet has a bunch of incredible stories about kids fighting cancer and where all this money they're raising is going to.
So if you feel so inclined, there are QR codes here.
They may or may not be too small for you,
but you can, again, hit the socials.
There's your opening ceremonies, 445, Max Bell today.
Everyone knows about spring hockey tournaments.
This one's raising money for cancer.
Good on you for doing that, Raiders,
and best luck to all the teams in town for the tournament this weekend.
Very nice.
We'll leave that up there just for a little bit.
That I credit to West Jets.
A lot of those anywhere they fly things at charities, hey?
Good on them.
And now I know how to use a QR code.
So bang.
Right.
Do you go to the drop-down menu to pull up the camera?
What do you do?
And if I can, I mean, if I can do it, I just, you just, yeah, even on my, on my little home screen, I got a little button there.
It takes me right to the camera.
So I don't even have to do the, the other stuff.
Technology.
Have a great weekend.
And I know a lot of kids are heading into spring break.
so everyone have a safe weekend and a bunch of fun.
Good luck to all the teams involved.
That's your Pinda report on a Friday.
For Village Honda,
village Honda.com,
your dealership for life.
Love it.

So TikTok.
It's already, I mean, we're talking a month and a bit.
Man, we're at the end of March pretty quick here.
Pretty quick.
Yeah, pretty, pretty quick.
Service credit union.
So we, we kicked off the candy bracket earlier this week.
The play in round, I don't know if there was an upset there.
I don't know if there will be upsets here,
but we got down to the field of 16,
glorious candies
as we continue our march to find out just what is
the best candy in the world.
And we've invited you to be part of the voting process.
And Jack kind of tipped us off yesterday
that there were some blowouts,
but there were some things that were maybe
that were kind of tight.
The voting for round one,
the Sweet 16, ended within the hour.
We, as you and I sit here, Pinder,
we have no idea.
Jack said, do you want to hear the results?
I said, I want to do it live.
No, let's do it.
Let's go.
So, Jack, let's do it.
Let's get into the results from the suite 16.
We're going to go one by one each matchup, and then we'll look at the bracket after.
Very nice.
Okay.
So the top, number one seed versus 16, cola bottles taking on the blue whales.
We were shocked by the cola bottles last time around, and we shouldn't be shocked here,
as it is a beat down.
Cola bottles
more than doubled.
Yeah, it's.
Jeez.
So a huge, congratulations to the defending champs.
It would be embarrassing to go out in round one
after being the champ.
So no embarrassment here, the cola bottles.
And I do wonder with something like this, if people may be,
because Jack, didn't you say you hadn't really done the cola bottles?
It's not in front of mind.
Maybe does this give you the incentive,
the thought now,
should go have some.
No, because the blue whales are all so awful.
Oh, geez. Negativity.
If they win this next matchup, then I will go get some.
Okay.
Okay, well, so one advances.
16 is done.
It was a good short run for the blue whales, but.
Proud of them.
They had to get it up playing anyway.
Eight days in jet fuel, kind of a waste, I guess, for the blue whales.
Moving on, number two ranked Fuzzy Peaches against the Dinosaur's,
one of the other play-in winners in the wild card round.
The peaches are.
They're dominant.
They're huge.
And they cruise.
Wow.
Pass the dinosaurs.
469.
A big number for the peaches.
We'll learn more about the peaches next week.
We have a profile coming up.
I think you're hard pressed to find somebody who did not,
who has never had one,
a fuzzy peach.
But in case you've never,
we'll dig in.
So the top two seeds have advanced as we move on to,
to the next seed.
I'm guessing that's kind of how.
this is go. So congrats to the fuzzy peaches.
Fuzzy peaches. Because they're sweet,
but there's kind of a thing. Number three,
gummy bears just kind of standard straight up,
but they're a big one. Taking on
nerds. They come in a box as well.
Wow. They got crushed.
Nothing close yet. But again, top three seeds.
Top three seeds. This is,
everybody loves an upset, but then what are you left with?
If you lose one of your powerhouses, we're not facing that here.
Congrats to the gummy bears.
There's, people use them in so many different ways.
You eat them straight.
They use this kind of a, you know, maybe you put them in your,
if you go to one of those yogurt places and your Sunday and stuff like that.
Sorry, nerds.
Neat-niz.
Nerds.
That's right.
Number four versus 13, we thought this might be a banger.
The Swedish berries, the cherry blasters, which is part of the Sour Patch Kids family.
But the blasters are done.
Swedish berries 4.50 to 335.
Close.
We'll call it convincing.
Yeah.
We'll call it convincing.
All this does is set up for a great elite aid is what we're looking at so far.
So congrats to all the Swedes, Rasmus and Elias, Jacob, all of you, your berries.
Tough.
Your berries are buttes.
They continue to roll.
Top seeds, undefeated so far.
Number five, Skittles taking on the 12th ranked Twizzlers.
Liquorish versus Hard Candy.
Oh, another devastating result.
Twizzlers, Gertrude, with the Twizzlers in her teeth,
is going home.
Skittles, Cruz, 512 to 273.
What's Gertrude going to tell her parents she missed curfew
and that's Duda Baker?
Well, they're, I feel like they're long since gone.
Well, congrats, Skittles.
That's amazing.
That's amazing.
I think maybe Jamie McClendon will be shocked because he was kind of sticking up for the Twizzlers there on Wednesday.
Sorry, noodles.
The Sour Patch Kids versus Mike and Ike.
You're not a fan of the Mike and Ike.
The sour, I mean, we're talking sweet versus sour.
This is an amazing matchup.
Oh, destroy.
the sour patch kids lay the hammer down on both Mike and Ike
542-200-242 those kids I'm telling you they're craft you got you can't you can't trust them
they're smiling they're looking all cute but you know they're hang out that sour patch they're jerks
yeah you got to watch it so that only leaves two spots left in the elite eight wow
It's all been the top seeds, which, I guess, I guess, kudos to the, to the selection committee.
Yeah.
They, they would, I guess this would say they've been ranked accordingly.
Yeah, it's different lumps, as you always do.
Not an easy job, but it looks like they've done well.
Sour Soar Souters, rank number seven, taking on the 10 ranks Starburst, Taffy versus Sour, closer.
Less than 100.
Yeah.
the soothers move on
this was the one that was close
yesterday
and they just pulled away this morning
or what's sorry jack
yeah overnight like at the end of the show
it was it wasn't like super close
it was like 50 something but it was the closest one
and that was the seven seed
that's the seven C seven so that used
8-9 which is a notoriously great matchup
in all brackets the 8-8-9
I don't know how so before we see
how do you feel there have been no upsets there's been nothing
close
Is this, are we, are we disappointed or should this have been expected?
I'll say this.
If it's any lock of drama in round one, it's going to tee up an incredible lead agent.
Oh, man.
Yeah, it's going to be unbelievable.
Yeah, it's going to be unbelievable.
Let's check it out.
The last one.
Yeah, so the nibs and Jolly Ranchers 8 v.9 will not be a huge upset just based on ranking.
Two very different candies.
Oh, the nibs are.
Nibs.
Wow.
Get it done.
Holy.
Unbelievable.
All eight top-seated teams move on.
I did not have that.
But the Twizzlers do not.
Yeah.
What does that tell us?
Jerry versus Strawberry.
That's what it tells me.
I guess it does.
Wow.
Look at this.
This is a clash of the Titans.
And what's funny is, I think the cola bottles did as a 13.
seed when we did this originally.
There are no upsets.
So the cola bottles now will take
on the lowest
they'll take on the nibs.
Okay. The lowest advancing
seed. Fuzzy
peaches, sour
soothesers, the gummy
bears, bears
versus the kids.
Three versus six. Sour
Patch kids, gummy bears, and then Swedish
berries taking on
skittles. I would place a
lot of money down that we will see an upset in the seeds in round two.
Yeah, like a five over four is, but I feel like we've got an upset in the making somewhere
here as well.
Yeah.
Jack,
give us your thoughts, not so, I guess not so, but just because it was so lopsided.
There's not much really left to say in terms of analysis from, from round number one,
but just initial thoughts now, you get to see it with your own eyes.
You can start to visualize what the elite eight here looks like in the candy bracket.
I'm pissed about the Jolly Ram.
I see. Like I was and I don't like nibs either. So now if they beat the cola, I don't care to.
I still don't care to try it because I don't like nibs. Well, here's what it's going to be. I'm sorry, go ahead.
No, it's okay. I'm just, I'm frustrated. I was grinding like I was going to different spots of vote because you can vote one per IP address.
So I was really trying to get the jolly ran you were trying to rock the vote. Yeah. I was a little bit.
Voter die. I don't know that there's that we really didn't stipulate that that's a. We really didn't stipulate that that's a
against the rules.
No,
if you want it that bad,
that just shows the enthusiasm
you have to care for the game.
That's the passion we're looking for.
Yes.
It's right there.
So cola bottles,
nibs, Swedish berries,
Skittles,
fuzzy peaches,
sour soothes.
That peaches,
sour soothesers,
that's a very intriguing
matchup to me.
And I,
honestly,
if I could reseed things,
I just feel like Skittles
has got a lot of moe right now.
Is that right?
It's,
I'm telling you,
it's the Johnny thing.
It's the,
year of the Skittal, Marshawn Lynch.
Well, Marshawn Lynch, that was like 10 years ago.
This is true.
I just mean, it's all just keeps, it's the good vibes team right now.
You've got the gummy bears and the cola bottles.
They're very similar in terms of texture, even made by the same company.
Yeah.
You've got, what, two sours left?
Depends where you put peaches.
What if it's, really?
Yeah, they're not, no, it's kind of a, well, we'll find out next week.
We'll get, we'll really dig into it.
Um, would you maybe have a sour versus sour if both seven and six advance in the east
bracket.
Yeah.
In the in the, yeah, that's, I guess that's what it would be.
And Jack just hates that, uh, that northwest corner of the bracket.
Yeah, he does.
Yeah.
Just the northwest region out of there.
He hates.
Where are they playing that?
Is that in, uh, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
We appreciate it.
Now, Jack.
Yes, sir.
When does voting.
open and where can people go to vote?
It'll open Monday morning
when the show starts.
There will be links everywhere
and I believe we will have it on the website
by then, the Flames Nation website.
I hope.
In time for the elite eight.
In time for the elite eight.
You've got more confidence than we do.
So you're talking about this is a weekend between right now
and when you want things to be done by.
Interesting.
Yes.
I've been given access.
to the website, so we'll see if I can figure that out.
That's good stuff.
The candy bracket is a presentation of Handsome Dan,
who we have heard of from, by the way,
and we will in a moment.
Handsome Dan's Vacation Rentals.
Handsomedans.coma is the website.
What are we talking about?
We're talking about vacation rentals.
You want to get away?
Hey, spring, maybe.
Are you feeling it?
You got through January, February.
You're halfway through March.
you're feeling it. Is it weighing on you? I gotta get out of town. I just need some time.
Well, handsomedans.ca. Vacation rentals on Vancouver Island. Canadian owned and operated company.
All kinds of options for your next getaway. Cottages, some of the private hot tops, a sauna,
oceanfront, lakefront, maybe you want to go fishing, you want to go boating, you want to just have a little
serenity in your life, whatever the case may be. Go and check it out. Privately owned vacation
and it's this handsome Dan, he's got, he's got it going on,
manages it. It's all kind of a private deal. You're going to save upwards of 15%
depending. Yeah. You don't want to go with those, the big, you know,
this is kind of like a direct booking deal. Don't go through the third party.
Don't do it. You and handsome Dan sitting down at the table. Yeah. Well, I don't know. Is that
how it works? Spit on your hand. You shake handsome Dan's hand and you wash your hands.
And then you can decide for yourself just how handsome. I look at the kind of photo there.
I have the beholder, I suppose.
Yeah, I don't know if we need a bigger version of it.
Handsome Dan.
Handsom Dan's.ca.
And as well, our good friends at Crystal Waters, plumbing and heating,
your crystal clear choice for home comfort 403-219, 4100, crystal clear Calgary.com.
Man.
I don't know how to feel about all the top seeds because we do love an upset,
but then sometimes you're left with such a lopsided round two matchup.
It's kind of like you just cruise right into the third round.
I don't know that there's going to be much in the way of cruising.
I think we've got some tight boats coming.
There's one takeaway for me,
the selection committee did a sensational job.
And I know you'd spend a lot of time mulling over seatings
and taking in input from various people around the city.
Congrats on your excellent work.
The seating,
you can't really moan about it.
When all the favorites win,
the seating crew had it right.
And I'm also prepared to say,
because we heard from a lot of people,
the wine gums or whatever should have been in there.
Based on what we just saw,
maybe it's a popularity contest.
I'm not sure that the wine gums
would have fared any better.
They probably first round foddery
if they got through a play in.
I do.
I think that they would have had,
or airheads or whatever else
was brought in, the high chews.
Yeah.
I'm okay with Mike and Ike being done.
Oh, man.
Box candy, tough run.
Nerds, too.
Yeah.
Damn box.
They do come in a goddamn box.
The ranchers were robbed.
See, Peter's, he's with you, Jack.
Yeah, that's a tough one.
He's with you.
Daryl's just beside himself.
Yeah, that's right.
All right, let's, you know, I want to tell you about Vina Nova.
That's another one of those things.
You kind of, have you got an anniversary?
You got a birthday.
You got something that there's a Mother's Day probably coming,
not in the two distant.
I mean, right.
Right.
engagements, all that.
I mean, we're not telling you.
All that.
But if you have to,
because you think you get through it.
Oh,
we got Christmas and then we did Valentine's Day.
We're smooth sailing.
If nothing else.
Vena Nova is here to say,
hey,
take a look at your calendar.
Just take a look.
All right.
Look at the new place.
Vena Nova.com.
Brand new,
yeah, November 1st,
they moved into market mall,
all that parking.
God.
Labgrown diamonds.
There you see it.
Engagement rings,
earrings.
They can do a special
like you want to sit down and craft your own.
Yeah.
I did that with the lady that I live with.
Wow. She must be thrilled.
She is ecstatic and I just sat there and watched them do it
because she knew what she wanted more or less or had a broad idea.
And who would have guessed,
they're experts in the field of jewels and jewelry and diamonds.
Yeah.
I did the same with,
oh, what?
and they were back and forth
and I'm like, I don't know what it is.
Like 20 minutes, 30 minutes, I'll go get a beer somewhere.
Let me know when you're done.
And there it is.
You don't need me.
Lab grown diamonds.
That's what makes Vinova unique.
They're the lab grown diamond specialist,
the only store in Calgary that goes,
all lab grown.
Savings for lab grown can be as much as 80%.
So you're getting pristine, perfect diamonds at a fraction,
so to speak, of what you would pay for those other ones
that really don't seem to be all that popular anymore.
Oh, I mean, geez.
Pristine?
Not ducking.
Yeah, perfect.
Not digging them out of dinosaur poo?
Perfect.
Why would you do it?
Venanova.com.
Man.
I'm going to have some,
I'm going to,
because I did go out before the bracket.
I bought,
I bought some samples of the candies for us.
So Jack,
we'll indoctrinate you to the cola bottles and some of these other.
Maybe,
maybe we'll turn you,
we'll spin you right around on the nibs once you smell them, you know?
Because it's not just, it's about the whole, you got to smell, feel, taste, texture.
Yeah, the chew is sensational.
The chew, all of it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And I do have an update from our long-armed friend.
He'll be back Sunday and hoping we can get a lot of these in studio.
I'm excited about the elite.
Okay.
Perfect.
So that'll be, that'll be Monday.
Look forward to that.
Breaking news coming in from Bed 365.
Every nail biting overtime win is a barn burner.
Every face off, hat trick, power play, shot on goal,
penalty shot, and every suspenseful minute in between is amazing.
Whatever the moment, it's never ordinary at Bet365 official partner of the NHL.
Download the Bet365 app today and use the code Nation to get in on the game.
Must be 19 or older.
Please play responsibly.
Just one game in the NHL tonight, Dino.
So we're going to jump in on it.
The odds are on the left.
just giving you the idea what's going on.
Penn's slight favorites.
They are at home to the struggling suddenly blue jackets.
We're still in the mix in that playoff chase,
more so than the penguins, certainly.
I've got a parlay and a straight up bet.
Zach Werensky, 11 shots his last two games,
including 11, excuse me, six is last game out.
I'm going to play three or more shots at minus 145.
That's a safer bet at minus 145.
And the parlay I've got, two things that have happened a lot.
Werenski points, Crosby points.
Werenski's over a point per game, as is Sidney Crosby.
that happens for both of them.
That little parlay gets me to plus 120
for our only game of the night.
Beauty.
Bet 365, be 19 or older.
Whatever the moment, it's never ordinary
at bet 365.
And they'll press this guy right here.
Super chat.
Little money down goes directly
to the youth centers of Calgary
and we'll get your comment shown on the show.
Look at this guy.
There he is, handsome Dan.
He said at the,
Dustin Wolf win means money for the youth centers of Calgary and he's back.
Last secret.
When you see Pinder,
he's been telling secrets, right?
Yeah, he's letting people in.
He kind of talked about Rett,
how if you encounter him having wings,
just reach over,
look him right in the eyes and just take one of the wings off of his plate
and start to eat it in front of him.
He'll appreciate that.
And he said that you really like long hugs,
not just hugs,
but long hugs.
Last secret.
When you see Pinder at an event,
walk up to him, look him in the eyes,
and very seriously start praising his talent and ability as a show co-host.
He will try and deflect, but it's important to keep going for at least five minutes.
He secretly loves the kudos.
Five minutes, right?
Yeah, the kuti hardos, good five minutes of kutti hardos for sure.
Get the timer on your phone and really just, because if you go shorter than that,
Pinder's really going to be disappointed.
I'll have to drag things on.
We'll get a queue lined up for people that want to come in and praise the Pinder praise line.
Oh, great, six people.
There's half an hour in my life.
Thanks, handsome, Dan.
Yeah.
This Dan, but 100 bucks.
Thank you, Dustin Wolf.
Thank you, handsome Dan.
That's going to go right to the youth centers of Calgary.
How about that?
What a day.
What's a good day.
Yeah.
And, hey, be aware.
It is an afternoon or tomorrow.
It's a two o'clock start.
for Islanders and Flames, two teams that with a victory can move into a playoff spot potentially.
Yeah.
Big one.
Don't get caught in the Costco line at two.
Game time.
Game time is pain time.
That's what I've learned.
Yeah.
Pain time.
All right, everybody.
Have a fine weekend.
We appreciate you.
That'll do it.
See you, buddies.
