Hello, friends.
Tuesday edition of Barnburner, Boomer Pinder, Warner.
We are improvising today.
That's the thing about being professionals.
We can just, hey, what is?
On the fly.
We got some issues.
Well, we'll pivot.
Adlib.
Yep.
Our buddy Jack sent a, well, what time did I go through this about, you know,
it was 8 o'clock?
It was.
Oh, you know, 7.20.
Was it?
I was sending you stuff at 6 a.m.
Oh, dear.
We just not sleep last night, and I was up way early for kid hockey.
And I was like, what are you doing up?
This isn't normal.
And he's like, oh, I'm sick.
I've not been sleeping.
Oh.
So you're that guy, hey, Pinder?
Up early?
Today, once a week, it's about it.
Okay.
Except the other days I'm up early.
But yeah.
What time do the boys hit the ice?
Tuesday at 6.30.
They got a couple weeks left.
I don't know.
I'm not too.
Jack, what are your symptoms?
Can we do anything for you?
We're supposed to send me your address Friday.
Pinder suggested the vitamin C.
I would add some of that up.
The symptoms are cough, cold,
sweats, throat, headache.
Yeah.
Sounds like the flu.
Checking a lot of boxes there.
Yeah, you flu-y?
You think you're fluey?
That might be flu.
I didn't get the flu shot.
well whatever uh i i wonder though if it has much to do or anything to do with the uh the nonsense
you were up to this weekend that definitely played a part yeah yeah it's a tale as old as time
as they say is it yeah it's not as old as rhyme yeah it's happened to pinder it's happened to me
you go out you have some fun you get into it a little bit and then your body says settle down
dude. See, and I don't do those things.
So it's true.
Didn't you cook the goose like two weeks ago?
Have you done?
Yeah.
So as far as you and your goose cooking.
Yeah.
Is that out of your?
It's pretty much retired.
Really?
I mean, I don't know about that.
Pretty much.
I have, I saw something online and I don't know why I bothered bring it up right now.
But it was, uh, I forget what website it was at, but it was things that I'm at the age now.
I'm just done doing.
I'm just done.
And it made me mad because it's like,
well, Pinder does all of these.
Yeah.
And I do none of these.
So I don't know what that says about him or me,
but you know,
we'll do it.
I think we have to bring back if I'm old.
It's just one of those things.
I've got so much content on a daily basis.
It's true.
Yeah, we'll see.
Maybe Wednesdays are a good day for that.
Anyway, we'll do something in that regard.
Happy, hey, happy election day, Red.
I know it's a big day for you.
those around you.
This, I'm not even joking.
This is much watched TV.
Oh, I bet.
There's great possibilities of drama and sadly.
How many Fox TV screens do you have up?
I don't like mainstream media, Dean.
Oh, is that right?
Yeah.
I don't think I go off the beat.
At least, you know, both sides are willing to accept the results no matter what they are.
How many Joe rolling screens can you have up at one at one time?
Well, Joe put out a,
didn't he support someone yesterday?
He did. He, uh,
whatever you call that.
Endorsed.
Donald Trump.
That's,
Joe didn't one of these.
That's weird because Joe was a,
heavy the other side.
Yeah,
well,
you know,
for a long time.
Trump did come on a show.
He was going to vote for,
so did Bernie Sanders.
He was going to vote for Bernie way back in a day before they screwed her.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Wanted some things other people's didn't want.
Joe's had it with nonsense.
That's what it is.
So he's going to the guy with 32 indictments?
Got it.
He's had it with the woke world that we live in.
He moved to Texas.
He's got his guns,
eating wild animal meat,
doing as he pleases.
So there you go.
Let's not talk about this, guys.
I brought it up.
I don't know why.
NFL trade deadline.
Because it'll be on.
Oh, it'll be.
Yeah, yeah.
It'll be allowed.
Yeah.
This is probably the only place you'll hear about it.
I just thought if we don't bring it up, who will.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's for sure.
NFL trade deadline today.
Did the bills add anybody?
Have they done anything?
What would need to do anything?
They could add a kicker because that bass is really screwing things up.
Is that right with that 61 game winning?
61 yarder.
Yeah.
What about all the other?
He didn't have to kick the game winner if he hit the other ones.
And what about the playoffs last year?
That's okay.
So it's all excused because he made one kick this year.
I'm just asking me.
He didn't like that kick.
You did like it.
Okay.
I like one.
61's a that like would be unheard of a decade ago.
Jason E limit altitude.
That'd be the only thing you'd see over 60 years.
He missed a chip shot in the playoffs last year.
He's an idiot.
How did we all do in our?
He's an idiot kicker.
All right.
My drunk idiot kicker.
Got liquored up.
How do we all do in fantasy this week?
Did we, uh, we're all in the same kind of fantasy evening?
Jack with a KDoughton performance last night.
Did you?
One point got many more than that.
Is that right?
A beast in that offense because everyone else is dead.
Retro?
Uh, I lost again, Dean.
Oh, damn.
You're going to the moss pit, buddy, I think.
You keep saying that, but I'm not worried.
Yeah, I don't know why anybody to be worried about the moss pit.
That's great.
My guy's coming back.
Finally.
Wow.
McCaffrey.
I hope.
Christian McCaffrey.
I think he,
oh, there it goes.
Yeah.
Overheating.
Nope, not that.
It's the soft.
No, no reason to it.
Install the new drivers did after burn
of the other night.
No problems.
Been on until now.
I thought I'd share this with you.
This is going to feel like I'm boasting.
Don't boast.
A number of different fantasy things.
Too many.
I'm in four.
The record, just for the clarity here, my team is boobs.
Boobes.
And I had a lead going into last night.
The opponent had Travis Kelsey.
Oh, my God.
And then this game goes to overtime.
Got very close.
Jeez, I'm going to take it right in the.
So the 137.46 to the 137.42, I think that's the tightest game I've ever been involved.
Final four is very tidy.
It's fair. I don't know. Yeah, I didn't even know it went to second decimal.
You used to do non-fractional scoring.
Yeah, yeah.
Because you'd have like three or four ties a year. They would be dramatic, but you hate seeing the tie column and the standings.
You can't do it.
I agree. Yeah, I agree. So, uh, let's hear it for boobs.
Good boy, boobs. Yeah, thanks. Feels good.
Is that sort of the, the fantasy owner's interests are more of a trait? What are we, what's
Well, you know. Do you go with McCaffrey over Davis?
I mean, I'm going to go with McCaffrey over everyone.
I'm a big bills guy.
You are.
I tried to trade for McAvary.
He liked Davis.
Keep Davis.
I'll take McCaffrey.
You tried to screw me over.
I was trying to give you another bill.
You would have two weeks of performance from James Cook.
Cook.
Cook.
It's okay, though.
You want to go to the Moss pit?
You're doing the right thing.
Oh, your attitude.
See what happens when he has to get up early?
He's a dick.
Yeah.
Well, it's happening on a weekly basis now.
We don't even need to ask.
It's like, so, kid hockey today?
All right.
Yeah.
I mean, bite your face.
But I mean, on the ice at 6.30, that means you get up at what, 620 or?
That's like old days for you.
I have 40.
Not quite.
Not quite, but still the 5 always a bad number to have at the start.
Four was the start of mine.
Deans was 3.
Years would have been 5.
It was not good numbers to start your day.
I'm just speaking in general for everyone on there.
If there's a 5.
You better be going on some more tropical catching a flight.
Yeah, you want it to be more than a cold.
I'll go hammer some mimoses in the airport lounge.
So yeah, I'll get up at five.
It's going to be great.
Otherwise, what are we doing here?
You're going to be great.
It's a flames game day.
Get your helmet on.
The Calgary flames open up a three-game skid or a three-game skit.
Well, it might be a three-game skit.
Three-game road trip out in La Belle Provence.
We got to brush up on our French because we're going to have a special guest coming
up in 15, 20 minutes or so.
Max LaPierre, a former Habitant.
He and I guess teammate, former.
a former teammate,
Guillem Laton dress.
They have a,
well,
they started a company,
and then the company sold.
They're entrepreneurs in the podcast world.
La Pache Bell,
Bleu, right?
La Pache Blue is the name of their,
uh,
it was a company,
and then they've got a whole bunch of,
podcasts.
I think they have cheeses and wines.
It's everything.
Yeah, barbecue sauces and stuff.
They're right into it.
Yeah, yeah.
Um,
your compressors,
anything you need.
That's right.
Yeah.
It's like,
yeah,
they're the Costco of podcasts.
That's right.
I got it all, whatever you need.
Herclin breath.
So Max, Lapeier will join us in a little bit.
The Habs and the Flames.
Two teams.
Scuffling a little bit.
It's kind of kicking it around.
Exactly where they're supposed to be, I would say.
Yeah, you're probably right.
One of the Flames are we expected to be here.
They're game over 500.
But yeah.
Yeah.
I think a hot start.
I think this is probably more reasonable, right?
Flames have lost five of six.
Montreal has lost three in a row.
goal tending seems like it's maybe a bit of an issue in Montreal.
Both teams have some issues.
Yeah.
It's safe to say.
That Sam Montembo to the Four Nations has really died down after his opening night shutout.
I was going to bring that up.
Very, very loud.
I wasn't sure it needed to be that loud.
Yeah.
Before we get Max on, I was going to say, I was going to ask.
So the guy with the 894 save percentage and 3.43, this is the guy that we're
trying out.
Canada's number one.
I understand it's bad, but goodness gracious,
it can't be that, man.
You know what?
It's always fun when they play the habs.
You know who hasn't been struggling
as Cole Cofield?
Ten goals tied with
Heeshire, Kuturov, and Ryan Hart
for the league leading goals.
Changed his number to number 13
for our boy, a little tribute,
a salute to Johnny Goddrow.
It has served him well.
Absolutely has served him well.
You'll like this, though, Rhett.
10 goals, one assist.
I'm a shooter, right?
So he's a shooter?
What am I going to?
A hole line right there.
Am I going to give you the puck?
What do I?
And he can't shoot it for a little guy.
Oh, he can really wire.
Marty probably taught him, right?
I don't know.
Seems to have turned the corner a little bit.
Didn't he come in all hot and bothered and then cool off and then Marty came along?
Marty got him going.
Yeah.
Yeah, Marty did get him going.
What is it?
Now, Rhett, you played a little bit of hockey.
the science of being able to shoot the puck.
Just being able to shoot it.
Because you have got,
you've got Cole Cofield. He can really rip it.
Kyle Connor, Winnipeg,
one of the best shooters in the league.
He's got to run around in the shower to get wet.
You know, Reinhardt has 10.
Kutrov has 10. These aren't the big blistering power forwards.
So what is it? Is it the sticks?
is what is it red do you need to is it getting on the ice at 630 a.m. on a on a Tuesday morning can never
hurt you to do that get out there all excited shoot some pucks you know what it is dean I liken I liken it
to the golfer that big long lanky skinny guy that has the smooth swing and it just goes forever
it's timing it's whip it's feel and it's something I never had no yeah they are
though.
That's a good start.
They were too long,
maybe.
I think it was too much ice.
You needed the shorter stick?
Yeah,
but I like the poke check.
Yeah,
you needed it.
Polk check overshot speed.
Right.
How did it go?
What's the,
what's the,
what's,
that's,
that was the technique.
I see.
Yeah.
So I always discussed
with the coaches.
Yeah.
You want me scored?
Oh,
yeah.
Like he's putting something
in the oven.
That's right.
You all you keep him
out as good as getting them in there.
Yeah.
Anyway,
anyway.
Um, Patrick Linae side with the habs.
He's yet to play.
David Reinbacher was a top pick of theirs a couple years ago or last year.
He is injured.
And why would you want a Mishkov when you could get a Rhymbacher?
Well, whatever, you know, whatever it is.
Lane Hudson, young, I was going to say stud.
Is he a young stud defense?
You don't know that Rinebocker's shit?
And there was lots of questions around Mishkov at the time.
Yeah, he might not want to go to Montreal.
We weren't privy to those conversations, but the ceiling for one was significantly
higher than the other basically of where you looked at the draft in Nashville and
talking to some scouts in Switzerland last year. Not very impressive. It's been okay in LaValle.
Nietzsche Cove's going to win the Calder. What about Wolf?
Yeah, he's had three good starts. So need more. Why he's going to
Husko would just start playing him. Seriously, I know, put him in the net a little more.
He'll be the starter tonight. Well, there you go. See? So he'll continue to build on his
Calder case he's building. That's right. Yeah. Yeah.
That's correct.
It'll begin.
Lane Hudson,
averaging 23 minutes of ice every night.
They're playing the,
they're playing the tar out of them.
Skating.
Skate kid.
Stick-hatter.
Skating.
It kind of feels like they're playing them into a dash two every night as well.
He's like,
that's a lot of ice for a guy that's brand new to this league.
Is anything good going to come out of his mouth today?
Trying to make a panel.
Maybe.
I'm not sure.
Yeah, I'm not sure.
Prowess in the defense.
zone without being too mean.
Would you...
I don't think that's what he's there for.
Yeah.
No, of course not.
But it's...
How was Hughes?
How was Hughes when he started in Vancouver?
Well, they put him next to a Tannab.
They don't have one of those in Montreal.
That's not Hudson's fault.
Yeah, I know.
I'm just surprised in which he's getting to Dean's point.
Like, it's way more than I would have thought.
And maybe it's out of necessity.
You know, like we said, Ryan Bocker's probably a guy to be taking some of that up.
But if the kid could, if you feel like the kid can handle it,
and you know what plus minus is.
If the kid can handle, he's putting up points,
he looks like,
kind of in that,
interesting comparable that you bring up there,
Quinn Hughes.
He's,
you know,
highly skilled offensive,
high octane,
potentially phenom type of a,
of a blue liner that I,
frankly,
I'm excited to see tonight.
I'm looking forward to it.
Very good.
Finally,
someone's excited.
Yeah,
I go,
hey,
I'm ready for it.
I am ready for it.
We'll talk about the flame,
side of things, some shuffling, some juggling, some juggling of the lines.
This was, uh, what's his name?
Huska.
This was Ryan Huska this morning.
Uh, we're going to do.
Oh, he, oh, he take one of these and put them down here and take move it over here.
Uh, but we'll talk about that.
There.
Yeah.
There is.
So Kuzmeiko, who had been banished to the fourth line.
He has been, uh, elevated to the first line right side.
And again, much like in the past, we talk about things on this show and then the coaching
staff, they take their lead from us.
You're welcome.
Uh, what's his name?
Husca, pospousal, fourth line with Kirkland and Lomburg.
You're welcome.
Oh, what's his name?
Listen to the show.
We just said, look.
Name, listening.
You know what he's doing?
He's downloading it on a daily basis.
He's downloading it right to his phone.
Oh, boy.
Hey, coach.
Do you have a minute?
Oh, sorry.
I got my earbuds in.
Just hang on.
Sorry.
They were a good end report there.
Got some sneaks now.
Okay.
Possibly.
Yeah.
Oh, Rhett doesn't like the line.
Okay.
I'll switch that.
Okay.
We'll talk to you after,
after practice.
I think we're,
hey,
Pospes,
although, you know,
it's fine,
but we're going to need you to jump on the fourth line here and get back to what you're doing,
what you're doing well.
Let's,
uh,
let's get to our,
our guest.
He joins us.
He is a former Montreal Canadian and former Vancouver Canuck.
We did not like him when he played in Vancouver.
Oh.
You know what he was?
He was a sum bitch.
He was paying in the rear end.
Yeah, he really was.
He was in the saddle.
Dirty, dirty, some bitch.
But we like him now.
He's a great guy.
Maxim Lappierre joins us.
Just being honest, you know,
among friends, we could be honest with each other.
La Pache Bleu.
It's, I mean, we said, you're an entrepreneur,
you're a hockey player, you're a podcaster.
Is there anything you can't do?
Thanks for joining us.
Good to see you.
Thanks for having me, guys.
Great show, by the way.
Yeah, I'm just looking for something to do after my career with three kids.
Gotta get out of the house and all.
There you go.
That's what you're right.
Is that?
Yeah.
Yeah, there's a few boxes there.
Get out of the house and do something because you're going to go crazy if you don't.
100%.
So, and we'll get into the hockey stuff, but just to kind of, so La Pache Bleu, you and Guillo and
you're sitting around, kids are driving you crazy, we got to go do something.
How did the idea of podcasting and then you kind of, you built a company and like you say,
you've got different barbecue sauce and all the, you got all kinds of things going on.
And then you sell the company, it's gone very well for you.
Yeah, it wasn't planned at all.
I mean, during the pandemic, one of those nights, we had nothing to do.
We were just FaceTiming, having a bottle of wine and getting a little tipsy.
And at one point, Guillaume said, let's just go live and do a podcast.
Like I didn't even know what a podcast was, you know.
So we just went, start calling old teammates, just shooting the shit, having fun, talking about funny stories.
And then next thing, you know, you wake up the next morning and there's about a thousand texts about,
you got to do it again.
You got to, and we did another show, and obviously it went fast,
went from 150 people watching to 300 the next night to 5,000 to 10,000.
And then we just decided, like, let's get some people that are good with technology and all that and do a real show.
That's it.
They wasn't fan at all.
Yeah.
Well, hey, that's what it comes down to.
I think people are, and we've sure seen it.
I still think we're very much, because we did a radio show together before we started
doing this. It still feels very much like
the radio show, but I think people are
give us something different.
It's the team we love. It's the team that we
cheer for, but let's get a little bit
more something a little bit different. And obviously you guys
kind of feel that. Now,
did I, barbecue sauce? Who's
There's all kinds of products. Walk us through the time.
Yeah, we got everything. We got beers. We got vodka.
We got gin. We got barbecue
sauce. We basically have everything
except
what don't we have? Anyway, people
you know the connection, guys, right?
It's hockey, beers, food.
That's us.
I think all four of us.
Yeah, very good.
Well, congrats on all that.
I know it's been swinging and going for you guys,
and you've built something cool there.
So we were kind of taught the flames of law,
well, they've won the other night,
but they've lost five or six.
Montreal, they've lost three in a row.
Calgary had a really good start to the season,
but it's tailed off.
It looks like it could be maybe a long winter in both cities.
Are the HABs about where you expected them to be,
or maybe did you think they'd be a little better than,
four, seven, and one.
Honestly, guys, I thought they were going to be way better.
First of all, when we signed Patrick Lainey, we knew he wasn't on top shape, you know,
like he had the tough few years, the last two years, but we know he's a great player,
and we were expecting a lot out of Kirby Doc that was coming back from a one-year injury
he missed the full season, last season.
So in my head anyway, I thought we were going to finally have a second line, you know,
and Suzuki, Caulfield, Slavkoski were doing great at the end of the year last year.
I thought we had good defensemen with Gouli, the veteran.
Madison had the best season of his career last year.
Plus, you had Gouly that was coming in, which is not Gouli, but Hudson, sorry.
And I just thought we were going to be in the mix, like they said at the beginning of training.
And the management were saying, we're going to be in the mix this year.
And, well, we're far from that so far.
And what is not annoying me?
What's worrying me right now?
it's most of the
season, it's about effort.
I think we've been talking a lot in Montreal
about culture and changing the culture
and it's okay to be in a rebuild.
But so far for me, the major issue is,
it's all about effort.
We don't show up every night and we don't show up
for a lot of time when we do.
That's interesting.
For St. Louis, right?
I was just going to say the same thing.
It feels like the one thing that Marty St. Louis would have
is accountability.
And if you're not playing, if you're not working, you're not playing,
And so kind of surprising to hear that with St. Louis in charge.
100%.
But the issue is we don't have depth, right?
We don't have anybody to replace anyone or to scare anyone.
That's why I was talking about Patrick Laining at the beginning.
Like if a guy on the top line doesn't work, you have an easy replacement.
Now we have nobody.
Like tonight, we have Jake Evans as a center of the second line.
You know, that's an issue because you cannot send a message.
It's pretty tough.
We did last year sending Armia in the mine.
a little bit, but at the end of the day, you need players to be able to have success in the
the NHL. And I feel like you guys could tell me way more because you watch all the Flames games,
but I feel like both teams are at the same place right now. They don't even know who they are
as an organization. And that's a, that's a big issue. Yeah, I would say the flames just sort of
in reality only started to tear it down when, you know, last spring you see Tanev, Lindholm,
Hanofin all moved. That's really the begin of the rebuild and earnest,
the club you follow
a few years into this.
Everyone doesn't want to be Buffalo
and everyone wants to turn it around
really quickly.
Where are you at on the
worried about the rebuild
working or not sort of scale?
I personally think we took a step back this year.
We were year three, I think,
for us. So I thought we're at least going to
show like a challenge
for other teams coming in town.
And that's not the case. Like we've lost, I think
out of the last five games, we lost
7-2, 6-1,
8-2, like we're getting destroyed in some of those games, and that's not normal.
You know, like at the end of the day, we have more skills than that, even if we have injuries right now.
We have good young people in this organization, but you cannot just decide whenever you're finishing your check or whenever you're blocking a shot or back check is not optional.
And I'm seeing a lot of that in our game.
And the defensive zone is tough, guys.
Like I'm telling you, you're going to see it tonight.
Like we have periods of times where we're running after a guy for three minutes in our zone.
Like guys cannot even change because they're playing, they call it the hybrid man on man.
So they're trying to play men on man and swarm the puck in the corner whenever the puck stops.
But they never stops.
So basically it's long, guys.
I'm telling you.
We were just talking about this yesterday.
Frank Sarajevoly had showed a clip from Buffalo where they're just kind of running around, just basic position.
and Rhett played, you played, you played D.
It's funny because Rett's also got kids who are playing hockey.
So just being in that scope of teaching kids how to play positional hockey,
it's very much in the front of all of our minds.
But you're not a finished product when you make the NHL.
They're still so young and they still need so much coaching.
Is it worse now?
Is there more on coaches' plates that they can't do almost the,
the fundamental work or what do you see because a lot of it does seem to come down to effort
and just positioning and basic strategy sometimes.
100%. And for me, like, it's easy to point out the coach. It's all about the players.
I honestly think that whatever system you bring within a team, like it's just about respecting
the plan. It's going to work. And it's for me, being a good player defensively, it's a decision.
Everyone can be good defensively. It's just about, are you going to pay the price?
Are you going to be focused enough to be right in the right position?
Like it, for me, if a guy needs to be in the middle and he's not there,
it's a little bit being lazy, you know, because it's, I call it mental laziness.
Like, you just don't want to do it.
Like, it's funny.
Sometimes you watch players, they have no legs.
They cannot skate back for the back check, but as soon as they got the puck,
they look like the fastest player on the ice.
Explain that to me.
Like, I'm sorry, but that's a cheater, you know?
Like, that's what we have right now.
And it's easy to work once in a while and show people, show the fans, show the media that, ah, you know what, it's not that bad.
But, like, guys that play the game, we know who's cheating.
Like, and I think that's the main thing here.
We need to stop kidding ourselves as an organization.
It's time to move forward and not tolerate these guys.
Like, we have veterans that they show up whenever they want.
For me, if I were the GM or the coach, you need to get rid of these guys.
Doesn't matter if it's the stands and the minors.
Just, you don't want.
these guys like growing, like being around your young kids that are going to be the future of
the organization. We were talking about Lane Hudson. I think maybe you were kind of already
in there listening. It's 23 minutes a night. This is a young guy and he's got skill to burn.
What's what's been your assessment and your observation of this young guy early on this year?
Just super impressive. You know, every time there's a star player coming in the NHL, you see something new
or you talk, let's say, about McDavid, you know,
is one of a kind for me.
It's all about speed.
He's the fastest player I've seen
that his hands can keep up with his speed, you know?
That meckenon, it's all about strength and power.
You got Macar that is just a beast out there.
For me, Hudson is just a different type of player.
It's just about finding the opening.
He's not the fastest guy.
He's not the biggest guy.
He doesn't have the best shot in the NHL,
but the way he sees the game and the way he skates with the puck and he makes like he breaks ankles out there guys it's like it's unbelievable and you always think like when the other teams are going to figure it out it's not going to work but it always works because he sees the next play and for me i think he's going to be a star in the nchl 100% sure right now the issue is guys they they cannot react well to what he's doing with the puck because they've never seen that so sometimes it makes an unreal place
and nobody's open, but in the next few months, in the next few years,
when talents comes in the team, I think he's going to dominate the league.
I know there's a lot of excitement about Demadov, who they drafted this year.
We talked about it earlier.
Where were you at in the Mishkov draft?
We were in Nashville when they announced Reinhbacher, and there was a massive gasp.
It was quite a scene.
He's having a great year, but now there's speculation that you didn't want to come to Montreal.
What do you make of that whole situation?
Well, first of all, I had a good time because I remember what the,
I was at the restaurant and Carrie Price trying to say the name was probably one of the funniest thing I've ever seen,
knowing Pricer for a lot of years.
He was so focused on speaking French that he forgot the name, but it's stressful in front of everyone, you know?
So yeah, a funny moment.
But you know what?
Like I played in Switzerland and I have a lot of connection there.
And Rheinbacher is a heck of a hockey player.
Right now he's in a tough spot with the injury and the people.
trying to compare with Mishkov and that's not that's not right at this stage I think like we would say the first step is brilliant by Mitchkov and he's in a good spot in Philly but that doesn't mean because the other guy is not there yet that he's not going to be a good hockey player from what I'm seeing talking to coaches over there talking to scouts agents like he's I don't want to say he's going to be pretrangelo in the in L.A but he's got that tool
you know, like he's a big righty,
he knows how to skate. He's physical.
People don't know that, but he hits hard.
It's just about finding his
game in America. I think he's a
great defenseman, but he's got
extra pressure, I feel like. He comes
in, and instead of just making
his plays in the NHL, he has to prove
that he's better than a goal score.
And that, like, we're going to be fine
in Montreal. We're going to have the Midev,
Suzuki, Caulfield, Staffkowski.
We've got good young guys. When you're going to put
Ryanbacker with Hudson, I think we're going to
we got a perfect duel.
We know what it's like in Montreal.
I think it might be one of the toughest,
if not the toughest.
Everyone talks about Toronto and that,
but when you're not playing well,
there's two languages,
they all think you stink.
It's like having two fan bases
that think you don't know what the hell you're doing.
So when we sit out here,
oh, you know,
fans are getting upset with St. Louis,
maybe St. Louis's job is,
is Marty St. Louis?
Do you feel like there is a hot seat
kind of a situation there
that maybe his job could be on the line,
depending on what happens this year?
It's tough to say.
If you look at players individually, I think they're growing.
You know, like Suzuki is, even if sometimes it's frustrating,
like Suzuki is getting better.
Caulfield is getting better.
Slavkoski took a huge step last year in the second part of the season.
Gouli is getting like a solid defenseman guys.
Like you'll see, you'll see again tonight.
I feel like the guys that we want, like,
in our organization and the next 15 years are getting better but the group game is is not getting
better and this is where people are starting to start rumors about we we need to change coach and all
that but I just think that we're not at this stage right now in the rebuild like for me like it's
okay that we still make mistakes and it's part of the the growing pain like the the players are
getting better they're like they're they're more responsible defensively even if we make a lot of
mistakes, but we all have been there as young players before 25 years old.
You never see the perfect results.
For me, what scares me, though, it's what surrounds those guys.
Like I talked earlier, they need to find a way to help the team, but also to help
Marty St. Louis as a coach, to structure, to have a veteran that will say, hey, man,
like, you need to back check or block the shot on that play.
Because right now I feel like we just have a bunch of great guys, great young guys with
great veteran in the dressing room and a great coach.
that wants everyone to be happy.
But sometimes you just, I'm sorry
the expression, but you need the asshole.
You need that person that's going to yell
and is going to say something. And I feel like
Marty Saint-Louis doesn't have that help.
You know what they need is the crew you had in Vancouver.
You need some Kesters and BXs and Lepiers
and Routis. There's some
rafikos. You guys were
there were some jerks. They need some of that.
Yeah, 100% agree with you guys.
But I think that if we forget about
that part in Vancouver, everyone was showing up every night.
It doesn't matter how.
If it was trash talk, hitting skills,
it wasn't tolerated in this dressing room to just show yourself once in a while.
It was all about being all out every game.
We came close to winning the Stanley Cup, obviously,
but I think if you look at all the years where they finish first in the division,
like people are focusing on the sedans and the skill level,
but I think it was about the hard work.
guys were playing hard and we were well coached and we were respecting the system and every young
guy coming in and you guys were talking about Tanev. I still remember when he came in,
help us in the playoffs. We never seen the kid comes up. But right away, he felt like he had
to block shots like he does so well right now because it wasn't tolerated guys. But right now,
young guys are coming in Montreal and it's like, nobody says anything. So I'll be fine for
this year, you know. So I'm not saying there's no leadership, but
there's a lack of a mean presence.
Yeah, we hated you guys in Vancouver.
It was fun years, though, you know?
Like, I always enjoy, like, when I was in Montreal,
playing against Boston and Toronto and in Vancouver,
against you guys against Chicago.
Like, we always had, like, L.A. even.
It was fun.
This is why we do this, right?
Like, if teams like each other, there's an issue for me.
Yeah, that's true.
And the flames went out and they added Ryan Lomburg
because they kind of felt like,
we need a few more,
we need some assholes in here.
We got some nice guys.
It's time to turn it a little bit.
We'll let you get out of here.
I just was curious,
you're a Montreal guy.
And you get drafted by the Canadians.
And then you play for the Canadians.
Was it, I mean,
was this the dream story?
Max,
did you live every kids that grew up in Montreal dream?
Or was it maybe a little more difficult
or not quite as great as he'd hoped?
Looking back.
100%.
That was a dream.
Back in the, when I got drafted, I was a little nervous because back then they weren't
allowing any young players to play on the team.
Like it was rare that a young guy would just come up.
So I was kind of worried about am I going to play for this team at one point in my life?
But yes, like going to the games with your parents, your family, my sister, like every night,
going for dinner after when with them, it was just, it's special, right?
Like you're at home.
And I feel like in my.
Montreal, if you work, everybody loves you.
It doesn't matter if you have one goal or 50 goals.
If you show up every night, you become a fan favorite.
And just doing this for myself in Montreal, it was the best times, but don't get me
wrong.
When I got in Vancouver, it was a special time either.
And I loved it in Vancouver.
It was a special year, obviously, the first year going to the finals.
But I love the crowd there.
I love everything.
met my wife there and it was a special time of my life to play for the Vancouver Canucks.
Your favorite team.
Our favorite team.
There was definitely no Max Lapier fan club in Calgary, but that is a badge of honor for you.
Like you say, if we don't hate you, you're doing something wrong.
Appreciate you, man.
Again, congrats on all the success that you're having out there.
We'll get you.
You'll send us that recipe for the barbecue sauce and the vodka.
You'll send that in the line and we'll get her going.
Good idea.
Keep it going, guys.
Rachel.
You too.
Appreciate you.
there you go max lapierre he and uh giom latondress la posh blah they have a number of different uh good on those guys
good great that's what it is you sit around bullshit for a little bit you know we should do we should
do it again and then uh you do it again can we monetize this bullshitting we're doing really yeah
yeah they've done a good job of the monetization for sure uh so there you go flames and habs tonight
five o'clock start so no accountability sounds like
they're missing some voices in the room and he doesn't want to put it on the coach and that directly points it as a lack of leadership doesn't it?
And who is?
I look at this group.
I think Brennan Gallagher plays it the right way.
I don't know how much meat there is left on the bone on his career.
I think Josh Anderson once upon a time did it almost went bad the moment he got to Montreal.
A lot of money.
And then I just see a lot of young guys.
I don't like I, they need what they're missing is good veterans, right?
Yeah, and they added Lion A and I don't know anyone.
finds him to be a leader in that sense.
You're bringing in talent there.
You're not bringing in a leader.
You brought up doc.
That is an interesting one.
Third overall,
and just doesn't see, like,
those are hard misses.
You're picking third overall.
There's some big injuries, right?
There's some big injuries,
yeah,
for sure.
Maybe he's something,
but they certainly have at least derailed
the last few years.
But these are important years.
If you're not playing
in your young 20s,
late teens,
because of injury, it's hard to get better at the sport.
Like those are really your chances to have these great leaps
and how good you are at the sport.
We just talked with Frank yesterday
and kind of profiling St. Louis like a Rod Brindamore type of thing.
To hear that maybe Marty St. Louis doesn't have the hammer or isn't,
I would think he would have that kind of clout or that kind of presence in the locker room.
I think you have to.
I'm not saying I disagree, but I think he has the clout,
but that might not be his approach.
And so that's one of the important pieces of putting your management and coaching staff together,
good cop, bad cop, right?
Like who's holding the guy's feet to the fire?
I don't think Marty St. Louis is probably a screamer and a yeller.
Does it come across that way?
I don't know them personally, but can an assistant be the bad cop retro?
Absolutely.
Okay.
Can you give us an example?
because we know what plenty of times the other way, right,
where the coach can be the heavy and then the assistant,
hey, hey, hey, you know, or.
Yeah, and I think that's more typical.
But, and I'm not saying it's,
there has to be a working relationship.
Like the, the, the head coach always has to have a bit of the bad cop feel, right?
Where because he's, it ends with him.
He's the decision maker, ultimately, right?
he's the guy that dictates if you're going on the ice or if you're on the power.
Like he is going to have the final say on things.
But he doesn't have to be the guy.
You know, if these defense, the young kids are running around in the defensive zone,
he can rely on a good assistant coach to,
to hold them accountable.
Like we just said, no accountability.
It sounds like it's just a little too loose defensively.
And I agree with Lapierre where it's like the defensive side is not,
skill. It's a commitment. It's a commitment. Yeah. It's you don't have to be naturally gifted to play
good hard defense. It feels like this is one of those things because you talked about this years ago
where as stay at home defensemen you regere sarah stanchat kind of and then watching young
kids and the young defensemen that are being drafted you're not you're not turning a lot of
heads it feels like in a in a scout scouting perspective by being a stay.
at home shutdown guy. If you don't skate
and free wheel, it's Ken Hughes,
it's Kail McCar, that whole thing
seems to be coveted. But then we're watching these
breakdowns and puck's ending
up in their net because guys don't really know what to do.
You could really dig into that
what you're saying there too, because
those kids
that don't play as
offensive, skilled
type of game
from a young age,
get left behind.
Like, I don't want to give it in those levels even that those levels you go to my kid you 15 midget triple a double a div one whatever it is if you're not going into a tryout at those ages impressing the coaches and the people scouting your the evaluators you won't make it and then if you play it's it's not a it is what it is but some of those kids.
you're talking about that might turn into really competitive TANF type of battlers in their own
own they can lose heart they can lose heart and stop playing because they don't get to play on the good
teams it's really hard to impress with with just steady defensive play i feel like over time you gain
appreciation for it but let's say you have five skates to impress if you're just steadying in the right
spot and you don't get noticed like you've done your job but that's not really how evels work it's
Like, who's caught my eye rather than who didn't I notice?
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
And for right or for wrong, I'm not trying to make a stance on anything.
But if you don't impress in those five skates as a 15-year-old, well, maybe you're, what, where do you end up?
What's the quality of hockey like?
Do you keep, does your heart stay in it at the level?
What's the coaching like at that level?
Which I see you're getting specialist stuff, yeah.
It all starts to, how's your competition level against other players?
Is it, do you really have to work at being good defensively?
If you're right, everything kind of changes.
It's a weird spot for, for players.
And I don't think it's going to change because they'll just adapt.
And like I said, the highly skilled guys, if they want, can learn to play defense.
Yeah, I got to convince them of it.
I would guess if you watch the tape of Chris Tanna in his junior year.
Like his draft eligible year, he looks like Chris Tannaf.
But it took, you know, undrafted, goes to college, continues to play, continues to play.
And he becomes undeniable in the sense that you all of a sudden have a huge sample of him just being elite defensively.
Like the flashy guys, even at the highest levels are scouts, you know, Mark Giordano was a very steady player to start his career, not a high flying offensive guy.
And he wasn't, you know, a guy that should have got drafted.
He was a late bloomer.
but it is a profile that's much harder for scouts to hit on.
It's really easy to see who can beat someone one-on-one and bury it under the bar, right?
Well, even look at us over the last year between Zane Perrick at the draft,
Bristewicz in the trade, and then Kevin Ball, right?
Well, you know, he's a defensive guy.
There's not going to be a lot of points there, but, you know, maybe big in front of the net,
this sort of thing.
And not to compare it, but this guy led the Ontario League in points.
and this guy.
Did you see the points and the goals?
It's,
we all get, we all get,
it's easy to get sucked in.
And maybe they're sucked in,
but just that's what draws your attention.
Wow, they're stars.
Who can you name that's a defense first,
no offense star?
Like, they're in any.
Intentive.
And would you have called them a star?
And around the league,
the only people that,
did he play there?
Probably.
Yeah, they love them in Dallas.
They love them in Calgary and Vancouver.
Yeah.
It's something that's hard to appreciate
because it takes a refined eye.
and a lot of time to prove that it's true.
Where would Red Warner have gotten drafted in 2024?
Different game, I don't know.
Big, aggressive, defensive.
Yeah, but you could have been hits.
Like, we used to hit, like, Sartre kill guys.
Yeah.
Crush guys at Center Ice.
Like, Scott Stevens was the idol.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Penalty.
Minor hockey?
Doing that?
Like, penalty, penalty, penalty, penalty.
Four minutes, four minutes, out.
You can't play that way.
Yeah, everything's a hit to the head, head contact.
Yeah.
Well, I mean, worked out for you then.
I timed it pretty good.
Yeah, you did.
The only thing my kid brought it up.
What about that year they locked you out?
Like, how much money was that?
Right.
Your kid brought that up.
I didn't need that.
Yeah, shish.
Shish, son.
We also changed rules on you.
That was a tough year for you.
Just off on a few guys.
Hudson and Holden and the money would have been good keeps for you.
Yeah. There were a few guys that did cash in.
Like Darian Hatcher and those guys, they got their big, a big contract right before they said,
we're kind of kind of not let you water ski behind forwards anymore.
It'll make you how come he move your feet.
Yeah.
What a defender.
What a defender.
God, the way he just, you know, toes through the neutral zone.
Impressive.
Congrats to our buddy.
Justin at Viena Nova.
They've opened the new location in Market Mall.
They were set, boy, November 1st, you got a hard deadline.
Are you going to be ready?
He says, oh, we're going to be ready.
And ready they were.
The new location, market mall, great parking.
I mean, smut parking is so great.
Bigger store.
Look at this.
And what is Vina Nova?
Well, it's all your lab grown diamonds.
When you walk in there, you know you're not getting dirty, dirty diamonds.
These are, they're making.
they're made and crafted with care in a lab.
People in lab coats and fancy, you know,
this is what you want.
This is the gift you want to give.
Not something that some hillbillies got,
you know, panning for gold and digging out of the ground.
This is what, look at that's that right there.
Christmas is coming.
Venanova.com is the website.
Do go and check out their brand new location.
We are customers and I would dare say,
they're very satisfied customers.
Credibly. It's gone very well for us. Yes, it has.
Yeah. Thanks, Justin. Look at this. What a space.
Probably going to have to go back again, eh?
Yeah, I think so. November now.
It's going to be busy. Brand new store. Christmas coming. Get in there. Let's go.
There you go. Awesome. Happy for him.
Happy for him. Were you broken up because, again, we're doing the home show today.
Everyone's at their, uh, well, except for Ryan. Are you allowed to have a spot in your home for?
Oh, no, I was, I lobbied to put some.
some lights up and was given a firm.
No.
Yeah.
Or nor.
Nor.
Okay.
Anyway.
Uh, did it break your heart not to,
because we did get a little bit of,
I don't even know it's a skiff,
but there was a little bit of snow flying around,
kind of chilly out there.
Could have been a greasy one on the old Stoney to Glenmore there.
Could have been, yeah.
Almost had me wondering if Jack is full of it.
Or if he just kind of got up and, uh, it's so,
you didn't see him Friday night.
This is, I don't, I'm not calling his bluff here.
No.
you are sick jack i'm a team guy and i love going to work i'll i'll never call in sick
i'm glad you told us you're sick because i'm a germaphobe i said i was willing to go in
i know you want you to go that's the point on making that's happy he's confident risk getting me sick
no red has no time for that red's got no time for that there's one thing he distaste more than mainstream
media it's getting sick you can't do it yeah that's true um
Let's take a look at some.
Now, did we anything else on this hockey game tonight?
Line combos?
I mean, it's minor, but Kuzmanko going back.
Let's throw that graphic up.
To the top line, if you want to call it that.
Ryan, you're calling it the,
he's still going with the all gas, no breaks.
Well, it's a different version of it because Manta's here now,
but it's Manta, Sharanovych and Huberto,
who the three combined are not known for much,
if any, defensive prowess at all.
Now, Sharon Govich, the last year has won me over a little bit.
It's time at Center Ice last year was quite impressive for a guy that primarily played the wing in Jersey.
But yeah, those wingers, the French connection there, I feel like it's not, because I know what you're saying,
but I feel like there's not a lot of gas there either.
I mean, there's a lack of regard for the defensive side of the game, if you want to call it that.
But if it's all gas, no breaks, I mean, these guys should be leading your team and scoring, high octane.
offense, but they're a liability.
Describe the tools of the players.
Walk across, tell me what their skills are.
I would rather them try to be that.
They should be. They should start in the ozone, not worry about D.
Like, they've actually turned Hubertoe into a defensive, like a decent defensive player,
but it's a total waste of a skill set.
Like the guy at 115 points, you know, just because you can play defense as well as like,
you know, a Kirkland type.
Like, you don't want that.
You don't want to turn your shiny coin into a paper clip here.
Like, the harder thing to find is a guy that got to
115 points. Go get that guy back.
Did they not give him an opportunity to be that guy?
Well, they certainly have. Yeah.
No, no question. I don't think he has that anymore. It's just, you know, he's not the
defensive liability he once was, but he's even far less of the offensive creator he was.
I mean, you'd be thrilled with 60 points at this juncture, and that's just barely
above half of what he was the year before he got here. You know, they're a superstar away
from having a team that looks like a good team, and he was supposed to be that guy. He was
that the year before he got here.
And then posthal to that line.
Now Kirkland coming back in.
Swap with Rundug.
With Wayne Rooney, who's going to be watching tonight.
So now what?
He'll have after tonight one game before it's waivers or whatever that's...
This is it.
He's now waiver.
We've got a pike bomb on that.
We may as well fire it up right now.
Is that right?
It's interesting decision because you've lost Schwint.
And as a GM, you'd probably want to protect your center.
assets. But as a head coach, it's like, screw them asset management techniques. I'm icing my
best 12 because I'm going to be judged by wins and losses. So if you read Pike's tweet here, he says,
Justin Kirkland will become waiver eligible after tonight's game. And then he goes on in the next
tweet says, yeah, you have to give Husky credit, whether you like him or not, you have to acknowledge
that if you're going to take bad penalties at bad times, you'll find your ice time diminished,
whether you're Manta, Kuzmanko, Zeri, or Pospas, or even Huberto last year was a victim of it.
So, you know, he's absolutely running a meritocracy here.
I mean, I like it for Pospicile.
Just you can now turn off parts of your brain.
Oh, I got to move the puck to the draw.
Am I holding the stick?
What about it?
Just go out there and do what you do.
Just go bang around.
Run and go and bang it and crash it.
Get back to skating hard and skating fast and being like, like Lapeier said,
go out there and be an asshole.
I think you said that.
not him.
Did he say that?
Did you call him an asshole?
He said, yeah.
And then I doubled down on it once he even started swearing.
I'm like, oh, okay, we're having, we're having some fun today.
So that's how that's going.
I wonder how often you have a guy like he's going on other shows of the first things.
Like, you're a real D-bag.
Like, we didn't like you.
Is that the, do you think that happens a lot for him?
Is that what happened?
Yeah, that's what you guys did both.
You dropped an S-bomb right.
I think he understands the tone of our show.
He was,
he was well aware of the show weeks ago
and had requested to chat with us.
You know, just putting him at ease.
Oh, oh, it's these guys are,
look at these guys.
Hey, you're some good, uh, yeah, yeah, hey, you guys are great jerks,
you know, in Vancouver.
Yeah, it was really great.
That was really great coming on.
See how he comes a bag on again.
Yeah, that goes.
It's not a top five, but, uh,
we're going to take a look at some power rankings.
Oh dear.
Power rankings.
Who's power ranking?
I want you guys to give me the power rankings in the national hockey league.
Yeah.
Because here we are.
We're into the month of November.
We're almost a month in.
And the chaff and the, is the wheat in the chaff?
You separate the, that sort of thing.
You're chafing?
Yeah, there's always some chafing.
Definitely.
So there's a look at your top 10 in the national hockey league.
I was going to say that we don't spend a whole lot of time talking about Minnesota,
and we probably should.
They won an overtime against Toronto the other night.
Matt Boldy, Stud, got the OT winner.
They won seven of eight.
And Caprisoff had his point streak end, but he had 17 points in seven games prior to that loss
against Toronto.
And is Winnipeg cruising?
Sure they are.
But with a game and have, they're kind of right there.
Florida, they went to what?
Europe and back or where the hell they were, Finland?
Finland, yeah.
They didn't have Kachuk for a stretch.
They had Barkoff missing.
He's back now.
But they're right there.
We just saw the devils.
We've seen...
They played a lot.
That's the thing with Vegas.
Sorry, with the devils.
They were in Prague before the regular season started in North America.
So the points are a little misleading.
But yeah, I mean, they're good.
They haven't looked like one of the top five for me.
Yeah.
Rangers have been Shisterkin.
in a contract year, which is going to be expensive.
Washington kind of surprising.
We talked about them.
They've been getting a lot of goals.
The goals have been, goals owe plenty.
And I think I had Dallas as my Western conference team to get to the Stanley Cup final.
It'll be good.
They'll be just fine, I think.
What do we think of, give us, give us the power rankings retro.
maybe a top five if you want
I don't know how you go against
Winnipeg. They've been unbelievable
right. Our rank is like today
not who's going to win the cup, right?
Who's impressed us today?
I think that you're right.
We haven't watched enough
or paid much attention to Minnesota
and what they're doing.
The reason is unbelievable, apparently.
Florida, my kid's favorite team.
He brought it up Sunday night.
He's like, it's too bad.
They're no good this year.
And actually, I caught me.
So I said,
Oh, good.
Like, what do you mean?
And so he Googled it.
And he was like, oh, maybe we are right.
They just took two from Dallas in Finland.
Like that's, you subtract those two losses from Dallas.
You might have them in your top three.
And full marks to Florida.
They played Boston.
They beat Toronto, I believe.
Like, it's, that's a really, really good team.
They have no bad money anywhere.
And they've reloaded the blue line.
People were very worried.
You know, Montour goes.
away. They lose OEL, amongst other pieces, but Florida's stars are still Florida's stars. Sam
Reinhart. Keep her up there, Jack. Please.
Yeah, and we hear it all, they played so much hockey back-to-back cup finals. It doesn't seem like
that's kind of slowed them down. All that vitamin D. Yeah, is that what it is? Sandals to the
rank. We saw Vegas. They won on their last game Saturday. They beat Utah. They're undefeated at home.
Eight straight home wins.
That ties their franchise record.
Kind of outperforming their underlines to be really nerdy.
So sort of due for a little bit of regression,
but they should be in the mix for the Pacific
if they can hold off Edmonton.
I'm not really buying the Kings,
but I think they're back-to-back blow at losses in Ontario.
That's kind of swayed me a little,
because outside of that, the only one regulation loss.
Well, they beat.
It'll be better with Audi down the road for sure.
Yeah.
They beat Nashville last night, 3-0.
Darcy Kemper, 16 saves.
We'll talk about the reds.
That's impressive.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
16.
But yeah, I.
I feel like Carolina up ways.
I mean, they're eight.
Are they six in a row?
Six straight wins.
Yeah.
Like that's another team that we saw.
I was like, yep, they're just in control all the time and don't make a lot of mistakes.
Brought up the nature's streak that he's been on, 15 points in a six game streak, 18 in his last 10.
Something about he died his hair or something.
Oh, really?
He went and got either blonde or the frosty tips or something.
And he's been on a real tear.
So I don't know if there's any salons in Montreal near the hotel.
But maybe a quick dip.
It's always good luck to get a haircut before a game for me.
Is it?
I didn't know that.
Yeah, you do.
Did you have a city that you wanted to have the best luck in and would always cut your hair?
No.
Because you told me about that expensive place in Philly.
That was really overpriced.
And it was in Philly, which was odd.
Yeah.
The most expensive haircut of your life.
But sometimes you've got to spend money to get what you're hoping to get.
That's right.
Lucky.
Yeah.
Sometimes you got to spend money to get what you want to get.
I think it was Pierre LeBron on TSN.
And he said he had spoken to a rival GM.
And he said, Winnipeg is pretty complete.
What do they do with the Eilers?
It's his walk here.
I'm not expecting.
Yeah.
I mean, they're not sure of Grilia.
But that's a fascinating conversation to me.
that there's not much you can do we've we've had that conversation here a number of times
what do you do with good row what if he's playing great and you're in the playoff what do you do with
this guy what do you do with that guy if they're going to be this it's three things you do it's just
the conversation becomes it's either walking past the deadline into free agency you sign them
to a number that probably's going to be tough because he's been great and he has the leverage
or you start taking calls on him see if you can't you know get some assets back for him those
are your three choices i don't see any others yeah
The thing with him is, too, he's been a little injury plagued.
Totally.
And if it were not for this good start, I think if you were to talk to people out there,
media, whatever, yeah, this is a guy's trade bait or definitely he'll let him walk.
I don't know.
Duffer when you're first in the league, right?
And what's nice for, highest scoring Danish-born player of all time.
Career.
Yeah.
Take that, Yanikansen.
It was actually not.
Do you know who he took the mantle from?
Not Freddie Anderson.
No.
Where they're the goddamn Danes?
Nicolai Eelers, 474 points,
most among Danish-born players
surpassing the mark set by Franz Nielsen.
Oh, from Danish.
France.
I assumed you was Swedish.
Yeah.
That's why you come here.
Love Denmark.
Very lovely place, right.
Yeah, that's right.
There's many bike lanes for you, but standard living high, very happy people.
Everyone's fit.
When I'm over there, I'm biking.
Okay.
That's what you do.
You're a biker.
One in Rome.
Yeah, you're a biker.
Talking about that, uh, L.A. game in Nashville.
Nashville has played nine of their first 12 games at home, three and six in those nine games.
16 shots at home.
16 on Kemper.
They lose three nothing.
Ryan O'Reilly, they've lost three of four.
Ryan O'Reilly said afterwards, quote,
that was probably one of the worst games I think we've ever played
from generating and making plays and losing battles.
So that's not good.
That's 16.
Yeah.
16 shots is one thing.
Their meeting?
Yeah,
I never liked those meetings.
You know what they need to do?
They need to buy tickets to a U2 concert and then cancel it.
That's right.
Are they touring U2 still?
I don't know.
It was a residency at the sphere, right?
So that's right.
When are they going to Vegas?
Because they'll have to book something and then
and then gas it.
Yeah, I don't know.
It felt like and there's lots of time.
But it fell on this is going to kind of
Stamp Coast isn't getting the, well,
it doesn't feel like just Stamcoast not getting points or.
Oh, this is a team built around a backbone of like
Roman Yossi and your netminder, you see Saros.
And you went and added guys that score.
And yeah, like there's,
there's more than just like there's something going on there that's interesting and we love and
bernett everybody's gone you're like shit there's results here he looks good like this is this is a curious
one to me i still think they turn it around well they might turn it around and they should be better
that they are but don't forget up it would be interesting and i don't know how because i'm not a techie
but if you went back a year ago to see where they were in the standings at this point last year
it wouldn't be that much better because they were at cell mode till christmas and then they had a
big run of victories and all of a sudden they were real good.
Everything changed.
The whole philosophy changed and we're going for it.
We're bringing in these guys.
I'm sure it was a year ago they were talking about dumping guys.
Well, you know what my experience was, having just been to Nashville,
they really pour the drink stiff.
Stiff?
Like there's not a lot of those measured shots.
It's just, it's a lot of this.
The two bottles and.
there were 5, 6 and 0 to start last year at this juncture.
Juncture.
So similar.
Not as bad.
Great.
Yeah.
And it was a year prior,
they had that hot finish that really almost caught Winnipeg in their death spiral
and their first to worst in the playoff standings from January to April.
Remember that?
Swooned Winnipeg had.
It's the top in mid-January and all of a sudden.
And it was Nashville that really.
push down the stretch there with those kids after they'd sold to your point,
right?
Like it,
the other game last night,
the Devils went into Edmonton.
They shut out the Oilers 3-0.
That's a shame.
Good stuff.
Jake Allen?
Alan's got two shutouts already this season.
That's a good tandem.
And Marchroom has ones.
I mean, three of their eight wins,
by complete shutouts.
And not great defensively when you look at goals against,
surprisingly.
They've also been blown out a fair amount.
There's old.
Yee-ha. Calvin Picker to net for the Oilers.
13 saves. Oilers fall to 6-6-1.
Three on 16, hey, Cal?
Dang, Nabit.
But they got good news about Connor, McDavid,
skating. Could be back very soon.
As soon as Saturday?
I think they had a divisional game as the Kings.
I'm trying to remember.
Saturday. Saturday. Saturday. Saturday.
Saturday. Saturday.
The devil's actually a pretty good defense way.
I take that back.
Take it back.
take it back.
Three shots,
though,
yeah.
What was,
well,
I mean,
why did you go there?
What was it?
Well,
they have been blown up
by three shoutouts
that I'm just looking at goals against.
So if you hang three zeros,
you can probably hang a few five,
six sevens elsewhere and evens out all right.
What is there?
Two point eight ones against per game.
Six best in the league.
But I'll,
I took a look at the game log.
Could you?
Yeah,
sure.
Why not?
Hey,
take a look at the game log if you wouldn't want.
Sheld Keith's got some buzz.
Got a coach of the year.
things go well. They missed the playoffs and yet
we're a top five team for futures for the Stanley
Cup at the beginning. There's a lot of expectations. What about
Scott Arneal? Scooter? That guy that
has comey. Yeah, well, you know,
because he's got a plus
29 goals for against
in Winnipeg right now. Yeah,
they've been like 6-0 opening nights.
They've been roaring. Also, and I don't know if it
we can just get to the Pinder report, but
McDavid coming back, you talked about it.
and Colorado getting some good news.
Natusha could be back by the 15th.
Whoa.
Jared Bednar said that we need him.
And everybody in the room knows how good he is
and how we could use him.
You know how nice that he dodged this whole thing?
Six months no pay.
That sounds bad, right?
When do the paycheck start and end, right?
October 1st till April 1st,
till April 15th,ish.
He missed no paychecks until October 1st,
and he's eligible to play November 15.
He's missed three paychecks, not, you know,
26, which would be half a year.
Still not ideal.
Oh, no, no.
I'm not, I know what you're saying.
But he threaded the needles financially here without trying to, I'm sure.
Arturi Lekin and activated.
He could play tonight versus Seattle.
They get Natchushkin back in a little bit here.
Again, like as we said yesterday,
I don't think either of them play net.
So that's still an issue.
league worst in terms of goals against.
But I want the Avilavs to get back in.
Let's go.
Let's go.
Let's get roaring.
Let's get it going.
You guys are too good.
Jersey blow at losses for you.
8.5 to Tampa,
6.5 to the caps.
5.3 to the wings.
That was an ugly skit.
Three losses in the row.
Colorado and Nashville to get back in?
I don't,
Nashville,
I'm kind of neither here nor there.
Okay.
Who are the frauds?
Who's falling out here?
That's exactly.
Well,
the flames are a lot.
I've got the wildcard standings in the Pinder Report if you want them.
Oh, we'll get to the Pinder Report.
We can get to the Pender Report.
Oh, we'll talk about that now.
We've got something going on tonight.
We've got our auction that's continuing to roll.
Can I tell you about the auction, guys?
Do you mind?
Please do.
Closer to home is a charity that we've gotten kind of connected with here over the last couple of years.
We do our Christmas charity, the Top Shelf Elf.
It will be getting underway shortly.
And what it is is some friends of the program have donated some goods and or services.
And then we put them up for auction on a website.
And then all of the money that is raised by the winning bids goes to closer to home and their adopta family Christmas campaign, which is awesome.
They get gift cards and food vouchers, all kinds of things for families that otherwise wouldn't have those sorts of things at Christmas.
and we were given a couple of game experiences by John Winwick and ATB Financial,
just so happened to be that these games were before Christmas.
No big deal.
We had one last week.
We're doing another one this week.
It is New York, Calgary, November 21st, 25 tickets to the game and 25 food and drink vouchers.
A popcorn, a hot dog, a drink.
And a malt.
A soft served malt for everybody.
So you see all those 25 people up there,
they're all good living.
They're all eaten and having a hell of a good time.
And you know what?
Their bellies are full.
Content.
Yeah.
I think it's a watch like Panarin, Chesterkin,
you get to boo Adam Fox, Chris Kreider.
Rhett?
Yeah.
I hand you that you're, let's just hypothetically speaking.
You are one of the 25 people with a tick.
So you get to you get up there, you get in.
And I hand you the voucher and there's got popcorn, hot dog, drink, soft served malt.
What order are we going in?
Oh, dear.
Oh, this is, I mean, it's it's hot dog corn and drink.
Then bolt.
All at the same time?
Yeah.
Because the hot dog's not filling me up and I need the drink with the corn.
Eat it.
So I might as well get it.
I don't want to stand in line a whole bunch.
Let's do it all at one shot.
those three things to start malt later got it um pender yeah i'm with them it's the hot dogs first
it's fine but your popcorn's going to make you thirsty it's salty you're going to get kernels
in your mouth you need that soda to help you out there and then it's dessert dean come on
you can't let your kids eat malt before dinner god no that's jack jack what are we doing
on the same boat as the boys really it's a no are you telling me you do something different
theme yeah you want to speak up son i'm doing popcorn and drink first i love popcorn because you
smell it you smell that popcorn i i'm i'm i'm helpless there's nothing i can do so you're
having some corn and you know what it is it's delicious but it's not really filling you up right
it's like you know what i'm ready for a hot dog now i've had some popcorn i'm right now i'm doing
dog and then of course as uh as you say you wrap that up with a nice delicious malt
we're all in on the uh not the vanilla with the chocolate malt anyone swirling
i might vanilla it's probably a swirl
i'm not really gonna somebody hands me when i'm not gonna say oh that's the wrong color
i don't know if i'm gonna have that i'm gonna eat it yeah yeah i'm gonna eat it so there
you go now the uh the website in order to put a bid in this is important info is
gear.ca.
There's going to be a bunch of oil or crap on there.
Just get past all that.
You'll see a link at the top,
top shelf elf auction.
You click on that.
You put the bid in.
And I somewhere,
Friday afternoon,
Friday, 4 PM, 6 p.m.
Somewhere in there.
We are going to shut it down and then get a hold of the winner.
And then you'll have some time,
obviously,
to get your tickets and get your vouchers and get your people together
and have a heck of a good time,
November 21st,
which is oddly.
closer than you think.
It really is.
Weird, right?
Hey.
We'll be there.
Then it'll be American Thanksgiving.
It's Christmas party season.
Oh, man.
Christmas party season is big for you.
It's just a lot.
I'm a very social animal,
which means there's a lot of parties.
Yeah.
So, you know,
because you can't say no.
Cut up for the job.
It's,
it wasn't even,
I wasn't even criticizing.
I just don't know.
It is between you and then your wife is a,
she's a professional.
Yeah.
Yeah, staff one for sure.
We get the family one.
The grand folks, they like to shake it down to.
Yeah, a few drinks with the fossils and then they all leave, drink their beer.
Get the one that usually goes to when he's in town, but he's been in town last year,
so he's probably going to be at that one.
Yeah.
Back on the list, baby.
First Thursday.
Let's go get it.
I'll do the Pinder Report.
There anything else here.
I want to tell you in a little bit I'm going to tell you about something else, but I guess,
I just get to the Pinda report here.
Sure.
Five o'clock start tonight, eh?
Hey?
Five bells.
Jackson,
time zones,
Montreal in.
Oh,
so young.
So adorable.
Jeez, Jack.
Got me,
gratitude,
he's got some hot sweats.
You're not coming to,
because we're doing a thing tonight.
You're not coming for you?
banned.
No,
I made the phone call.
Okay.
RJ's got it handled.
You're going to get hands.
Because I was leaving the studio yesterday.
And Jack,
Jack just kind of says,
I'm going to have wings tomorrow.
I'm ready.
I'm going to have some wings tomorrow.
It's going to be.
You were excited for the wings,
hey?
You excited about wings now or no?
Is Rett's going to,
you know,
he's going to send you something.
He's going to send him your address first.
Rets not sending me a shit.
Oh, I don't have that.
Oh, I don't send your address.
I was personally deliver it.
Goodness.
The Pinder report,
it's a presentation of our good friends at
Village Honda.
You're feeling it now, aren't you?
Because it's a cold one.
And it's maybe a little slippy out there.
The snow, yeah, geez, I forgot how bad this vehicle is in the cold weather.
I forgot how awful it is not to have my winter tires on.
And, oh, geez, not really going to need.
Come on now.
We've been telling you for a while.
New in-stock inventory on the ground.
Their pre-owned selection is massive.
Plus, they are inside the Wood Automotive Group,
which means more than 500 vehicles at your disposal, one stop.
Your one-stop automotive destination in Calgary, they're worth a trip.
It's Village Honda in the Northwest Auto Mall.
And present.
Ryan Pinda, Ryan Pindo.
The Pinda Report.
Thank you, Dean.
Now, do you have any sort of a breaking news siren or just some sort of wailing?
Can you scream and raise your arms above your head?
Do we have breaking news?
Is that what you're saying?
I mean, Jack especially is going to be blown away, aghast, and potentially incredibly enthusiastic.
Barn burner.
We do have breaking news this morning.
Ryan, not to you.
Thanks, Dean.
The Pittsburgh Steelers have acquired wide receiver Mike Williams.
Oh.
New York Jets.
Steelers have been looking to bolster their wide receiver position.
A fifth round selection to the Jets,
former charger, and deep field threat.
Jack, back to you.
How do you feel, Jack?
Let's go.
I'm pumped.
It is a trade deadline day in the NFL.
It is, yeah, yeah.
We haven't got to the jackometer yet.
I wonder if his own health could diminish the jackometer,
if it's,
can he go nine to eight?
It was a high week, but he's feeling worse.
I don't know.
His outlook is it the same?
No, we're about it the same.
I mean, Mike Williams is fine.
He always seems to be hurt.
I don't, he hasn't done anything this year.
Correct.
Besides cardio.
Yeah, he's, uh, good shape.
But he might be better than Van Jefferson.
So, yay.
It's Flames game day, Jack.
Hate to get in the way of your Steelers buzz,
but the counter flames are in La Belle Provence tonight to face Les Habitants,
which is French for Rhett.
What?
Exactly.
That's not what it's French.
It certainly is.
Why would you pay attention?
Uh, again, note starts.
time we'll be at Richmond's Pub in the heart of
Morgan come stop by, say hello.
What? What? I've
at Richmond's pub. You got to love that.
If I have wings in front of me, don't bug me. Just
scatter. Leave me long.
Problem is, it's wing night. There will only be wings
in front of you. Yeah, it's going to be a very,
very, very few and far between the moments
where you might be able to sneak in for a hey, right, how you
doing? And then the wait, waitress or whoever has the server
come by, clink. She's coming to clear that platter of dead
birds. Yeah. The bone
graveyard. Oh, there's a new plate. Okay. I can't tell them. Yeah. No time to chat with
red. So look at the standings boys, the Calgary Flames in the west.
Look as such holding down the wild card spot. Thanks to that
excellent Edmonton loss last night.
The Montreal Kennegeon on the other side tied for second in the inverse
standings. So as long as you're ready to keep rebuilding, it's gone great.
far. Flames Wildcard
one, Habs in verse
two. Really thought they'd start
turning the corner by now, didn't you?
Are you
going to add the music again?
If the flames not going to dip a little
lower, which means they rise, is it going to be
big celebration?
Bad is good and down is up and wrong
is right.
They might simply be the best,
Dean. Simply.
Simply the best.
Schedule. What do we got, Jack, coming at us? It's a road trip
through the Atlantic Division.
They start, as we told you in Montreal
tonight. Boston Thursday,
another 5 o'clock start.
And then Rhett, they will be
in Buffalo, the Queen City.
11 a.m. Saturday,
a matinee out east, a morning,
a brunch affair in Calgary.
New lines unveiled.
What do you say in there, Pixel Boy?
A lot of kids at that game.
Nice and early.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Lines we talked about, Kuzmenko will slide all the way up to the top line to play with Kodry and Zeri.
We've seen some chemistry between Kuzmiko and Kodry, especially those final 20 games down the stretch last year, very good together as, well, because Michael scored at about a 40-old pace.
Cadre finished one shy of 30 on the season. Power play came back to life.
We'll see if they can rekindle some of that chemistry.
As for the Montreal groups, well, let's look at the forward lines.
It is lots of promising young players, but do,
we have superstars? Do we have
a leader of a future cup team
here? It's Caulfield, Suzuki, and Doc up
top, three very nice young players.
New Hook Evans and Slavkovsky.
Okay. Gallagher, Dvorak
Anderson.
They gave up a first for
Dvorak. That hasn't gone well.
There was all that thing
because the... Oh, they lost Cockney
Anderson. They got to, you know,
ha-ha, screw you. We'll turn this pick into
something. Didn't go that well.
And look at that. Bottom left,
your screen forever a flame
remember me
acquired in the
Sam Bennett swap with Florida
Emil Heineman and then how did he end up
in Montreal? He was sent there
I believe along with
was it the Tulloch Foley slot with the first pounder
or was it
or was it the Monaghan? The Monaghan
was the prehist of Foley. They added to Foley from Montreal
Heinemann and the second the other way
if I'm correct. We're late first.
Okay, cool.
move someone correct me in the comments if i'm wrong on that trade and hl tonight there's your blue
line sorry mathson ghouley hudson very special young player figuring it out at the nchal level
savard uh the guy they call wifi this is one of the better nicknames in the league red arbor jackai

Line A and Reinebacker out, Montembo, I believe, not related to DeKembe Metumbo, and Caden Primo,
not sure if he's related to Keith Primo, your two net minors.
Is that a lineage tandem, Dean or not?
What about Wayne?
Wayne Primo, maybe?
I'm not sure.
I don't know to be honest.
Calgary Ranglers will look for a 10th consecutive victory tonight as they are playing Bakersfield,
two games, two nights.
They got news.
Becarsfield song.
Hey, you don't love me, but you don't love me.
Say you careless how I feel.
Who are you to sit and judge me?
Here on the streets of Bakersfield.
Back to you, Ryan.
Here on the streets of Calgary, Clark Bishop's beenig,
the second captain in Wrangler's franchise history.
Because, of course, Brett Sutter was that man.
since the team moved Calgary.
Good on him.
And Brett narrated a nice little video to him.
The Wrangler sent and talked about the way he plays,
what he does,
how nice his beard is,
playing the right way.
There's some Sutter highlights in there as well.
Standing up for team at Red,
he's doing all the leadership things you've got to do
to be captain of a team that's won nine in a row.
I want to see this dressing room.
That looked all right.
There is.
That sea looks good too.
Yeah.
Ah, Bishop.
Your captain,
congratulations.
Bish, please.
Love it. Okay.
We'll move along.
NFL trade deadlines today.
We saw the Cowboys add a wide receiver and give up a pick because why wouldn't they?
They just lost their starting quarterback for four weeks and are way out of a playoff spot.
Never change.
Jerry Jones.
Never change.
Mingo.
Bingo dingo.
Jonathan Mingo,
the wide receiver from the Panthers heading over to Dallas.
guess the Panthers are throwing in the towel.
Someone else isn't.
Jack would rather have Mingo or Williams,
because they got a fourth for Mingo.
Williams.
Mingo hasn't done anything.
This year or ever?
Ever.
Because I was going to say,
quite young.
I wonder about Williams,
because I believe he has a hundred.
Hasn't done anything.
Yeah.
We'll move.
The Bengals have added another running back,
which is interesting,
because, God, the Chase Brown was eating.
Moss is injured.
Moss hurt.
So Khalil Herbert will back up Chase Brown,
who went over 100 yards with a touchdown last week.
Just a seventh rounder going back to Da Bears,
who've got some depth there.
See Rochard Johnson and others better than him at that position.
Defense of N got swapped out as well as I believe the commanders.
Oh, no, excuse me, the Cleveland, the Detroit Lions added.
Zadaria Smith from the Browns
as they maybe a little liquidation of sorts.
Also, I think Latimore has been moved
from the Saints as well.
It's a busy day.
It's trade day in the NFL and Jackie got your wide receiver.
Hope you're happy.
Stop your whining.
You saw the Barclay run on Sunday?
It was in Dean's highlight package.
Yeah.
Backwards hurdle.
Here's a nice view we probably haven't seen before.
This is the sideline of the Eagles as it's happening.
Most of these guys are kind of like, yeah.
Looking around.
kind of paying attention.
Watch their reactions.
Yeah.
What guys are just saying is that?
Like, nah, you're not supposed to be able to do that.
And the two others just grab their faces.
And look at the crowd.
I mean, everybody's out of their frigging mind.
The spin is one thing.
And then the leap, that's what is still one,
it's one of the craziest.
It's unbelievable.
I don't know.
I'm saying that.
Well, how, where's an idea?
I'll just backwards hurdle.
No.
But yes.
Well,
done.
Yeah.
You like soccer, Red?
You love soccer.
Love sock, big soccer.
Now, who's your favorite team down in South America?
Remind us, because this is River Plate.
They were encouraging fans to set off fireworks.
They didn't miss on the assignments.
Look at this.
This is not war.
This is not a scene from the gates of hell nor the inside of a volcano.
This is a soccer game.
by yourself you go to the river plate game if you're in uh argentina i'm in
got to be a mask of something like i was yeah i'd be walking out yeah let's let's go kids
let's beat the traffic um yeah maybe we'll uh go of a glass of water somewhere where i might
not catch on fire let's uh go to i got christmas present season right we talked about vina nova
Can't go wrong there with your significant others, your better house.
Dean, I got something for you.
It's actually kind of something for Rhett too.
Because famously, Rhett, before we play it, played both sides of the greatest seven-game series in baseball history.
He saw all seven games between the Red Sox and the Yankees and the team you cheered for, Rhett, was both, the home team.
And so this past World Series, this would have been Rett.
Let's take a look at the hat.
now dean the question i really have to ask is that one soto's hat oh is he going to the dodgers
i love inventions we like people smarter than us look at what someone has figured out how to do
with a simple bike chain and beer dude likes it that is good don't you always have probably
you have three of them and you got to do this then four you're like oh i'm really screwed five's impossible
Look at this guy.
He's wheel with six, no sweat.
How about that?
Wow.
And you look intimidating if you're walking around with a bike chain, right?
You're a badass.
Nobody's the best of it.
When it's empty a beer, you can just go ahead threatening people.
There's grease, though.
Make your beer awful, slippy potentially.
Two hands.
Get it a good cleaning.
Yeah.
Sure.
Now, okay, Gonzaga playing college basketball.
Their coach is very famous.
And his son apparently has walked onto the team.
So they're up big, like way up.
mopping the floor with their opponents.
And guesses who gets to get on the court
while they're up by, I'm going to say 36 by my quickman.
34?
A lot.
They're up by a lot.
44?
No, no, it's okay, I can't do the match.
Here we go.
There we go.
Follow the roof off this place.
If Joe Few scores.
And it's a steal for Joshua John winner.
BJ Edgecombe, my goodness.
That's dagger Joe Feet.
Poor guy gets in the game.
Welcome to the game.
Joe. Welcome to you. Oh, Joe. I'm sorry.
You know, the bench isn't so bad after all, Dad. I kind of like just throw the
Oh. Oh my God.
Remember the French guy at the Olympics when Vince Carter jumped over him? He was seven feet. This is worse.
Goodness gracious. Oh, my.
Jeez. That's vicious. I saw this from Powell, the show, Jared de Trois, the professional
golfer. He's an ASU alum. He was there when John.
are almost there, loves the sun devils.
We'll get, we have it, Jack, don't we?
The ASU guy.
Football post game, their head coach was asked about a big win.
Fans are storming the field.
And you realize, like, this guy is an absolute, uh,
he's the alpha on campus.
So let's go to it.
Cam Scadaboo.
Wow, you see him every single day.
What makes him different?
His mindset, he's got a dog mentality.
This team fights.
And the fight.
and they fight.
That's who you need to talk to right now, not me.
Yeah, good luck finding it in them.
Pressed you the most.
You the most about your defense tonight.
We stopped the run in the first half,
and we had great redsome.
We fought, man.
We competed.
That's what football's about.
Competeen.
This team beat you 55 to 3 last year.
Ultimately, in a calendar year.
What's the difference?
Our mark, man.
We put in the work.
are good for each other and they're up in this town you're an alum when you look around and you see this
moment what's it like for you it's kind of crazy i was one of these guys you go awesome job coach incredible
i'm just going to say are we sure that's the coach and not just some guy that walked up so yeah i'm
ready that's the beer guy in section 212 how old is this coach i junk pretty junk it appears
jerry i'm boy it's a little longer but that that that is scenes you don't see you don't see
you see thousands of post-game interviews.
That might be number one out of the last thousand I've seen.
And you try and explain to people of the college sports and the fanfare and just the,
there's no way to explain it.
So it's amateur athletics.
So are these guys pros?
No.
All of them do they play?
Well, some will for sure, yeah, but not.
No.
Hmm.
That.
So I read at the gym.
It's got a new workout routine.
Like this, Red.
Creativity, strength.
Working those shoulders.
That's key.
I don't know where this.
Wow, Rat.
I feel like the punishment is high if you missed this.
You're getting a shinny from a bar like that is no good.
The old risk reward, Brian.
Well, that's why it's so impressive, right?
Well, he made the Pinder report.
Somehow, still no broken shins.
Well done.
Or neck.
Now, you and the shoveler, where did you exchange vows?
was what, in Buffalo.
Tafino.
Tafino.
And there are.
I'm sure there's some lovely bridges there.
So this is clearly a view of Tafino.
Some guys being a thing is.
Oh, no.
Not staged at all, Dean.
They were just there for photos.
Yeah.
Oh, wow.
That's going to ruin their big day.
Oh, dear.
Terrible luck for that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I'm leaving now because I see what the next.
Two shots are.
Jack, you got to start relabel on this.
Look, this is, you love playing with fingers.
For the record, Red, they're called Massive Snake and Spider.
Thanks, Dean.
You're fun.
That's huge.
Ay, aye, aye.
You got 25 feet there?
It's crazy.
It needs some Australian content, Jack.
Let's get to that.
one of Dean's favorite places is all sitting on his throne.
Being at peace with the world, scrolling the internet.
This person in Australia, different issues.
What do you do it?
Don't touch it.
Don't touch it.
I would say I'd ship my pants, but...
And finally, it's a big day in the United States of America.
can't tell you to vote for her, that's up to you.
It's your vote. It's not someone else's vote, right?
But we can tell you, presidents are temporary.
Only Wu-Tang is forever.
Wu-Tang! Wu-Tang!
That's your Pender Report.
Brought to you by Village Honda.
It's the Accord. It's the Civic. It's the CRV.
It's the pilot. It's the passport. It's the Odyssey.
It's just the most reliable vehicles on the road today.
New, pre-owned, the selection you're looking for.
it's your dealership for life great people incredible service and yeah the cold weather
maybe gives you that kind of jolt yeah maybe we've put off the uh the purchase of a newer

That's it. That's all.
I'd tell you where to buy tickets, but it's impossible, Dean.
They're all sold out.
Is that right?
You were down to singles and standing room only last Wednesday.
That was last week, boys.
That's awesome.
Stick me in.
I think you can sneak yourself in probably, yeah.
Got one of those horse costumes, you and the shoveler can each be a half and just spruce meadows, eh?
Horses walking everywhere.
With that mustache, you could kind of come off as a security guard or a cop or something.
A little ear piece.
Break breaker one night.
I'm sorry.
I'm going to have to.
I have a lofts line around the house.
Mod medical clinic.
B. aroused.ca.
That is the website.
Men, let's talk honestly and talk.
Let's be frank.
Not Sierra Valley, but let's just be up front of each other.
We know what it's like.
You're growing older things.
Now the aches are a little achier and the soreness is a little sore
and it takes a little bit longer forever.
We get it.
And some of that is about what happens in the bathroom and in the bedroom.
If you're getting up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, you don't need to be doing that.
If you're finding that private time, you know, when it's sexy time, yeah, geez, having a hard time getting the old engine.
Doesn't need to be that way either.
Be aroused.com.
It's the mod medical clinic.
There are, you know, you take the blue pill or whatever, but that doesn't have to be.
How about, how about some science?
How about some a non-medication approach if you're using?
the blue pill or whatever. It's medical therapies to optimize your life in the bedroom.
Muscle function, reforming blood vessels, breaking down scar tissue, no pain, no downtime,
covered under extended health benefits, pelvic floor, whether you put all combined with pelvic
floor physiotherapy, the aroused team will help men with incontinence, sexual performance,
hip and lower back pain, and assist the stabilization of the core to optimize mobility.
feel good, be good.
It's confidence.
It's physical.
It's just physical health,
sexual function.
It's all kind of connected.
And it's time we start talking about it.
Stop being silly about it.
If you got,
oh, my, you know, my kidneys or my liver,
oh, I got a thing.
You're probably not going in and talk about this with your buddies.
But this is the type of stuff buddies need to be talking about.
So buddies, that's why we're talking about it.
Be aroused.ca.
Get in for a, you know, an assessment, a visit,
a consultation, they are the very best at it as we remove the taboo about sexual health.
Knowledge is power.
Be aroused.com.
That's a good transition there.
Yeah, it wasn't, uh, it was on my list.
That's props into, okay.
I wasn't sure if I just let it breathe before we went in or if it was a natural segue
or what it was, but there is.
Yeah.
There it is.
Yeah.
Props, did you say?
Prop closet.
Right.
Yeah. Props. Overunder spreads.
Something like that.
Look at me.
Bet 365, our good friends, and just so happens to be the world's largest sports betting platform.
Open an account.
And when you do, use the promo code Nation when you get signed up.
Download that up, get on your phone, and then let the fun begin.
Whatever the moment, it's never ordinary at Bet365.
Every week we put in some point spread picks.
There's a set number.
only three, no less, no more, hard and fast rules, no deviation.
And here is where we sit after week nine.
I've now dipped back below after a one and two.
The bills hurt me, Rhett.
Yeah, well, you weren't allowed to take him.
You weren't listening to Rett's rules.
Actually, he wanted you to take him.
Yeah, I took them and then he gave me the pat on the shoulder.
He was happy to, but anyway.
So I'm back down to 13 and 14.
Jack, we'll talk about in a moment.
Retro, 17.
nine and one. Did the bills work for you?
Or I'm not sure. That's an impressive record.
Pinder, 16, 10, and a one.
And Jack out in front, 20 and 7.
Jeez, that's tidy.
Three, two and one weeks and a one and two week.
What is, Jack? What is happening, buddy?
I don't know.
I don't know if I'm getting lucky or from,
if I know what I'm talking about.
You might be a genius.
When he's not stringing together 18 leg parlay,
is this guy's an absolute machine.
Yeah, when he's not butchering the English language
in terms of spelling and grammar,
he's nailing these football picks.
Not too shabby.
I'm not taking their bears again, though.
Man.
Yeah, the bears was, that's, I told you,
Arizona.
Yeah.
Isn't Arizona?
All right.
That whole division, everyone's in it, right?
Seattle's the bottom at four and five,
and Rams are now back to 500.
That's, that's a competitive.
The N of C-West is wide open.
Yeah.
um what was you out so i and i had the colts
colts plus five and a half and they were right there until
picks do we remember them i don't remember
you're on the other side rat you had the vikings bills
and commanders correct
yeah the commanders they came through for us
yeah my one win was the chargers
against the uh browns
they might be all right them chargers might be
or just the browns you know they
have one hail, Mary.
Yeah.
I mean, that's the thing.
When the Browns don't have
to Sean, you actually have hope for them.
Maybe we shouldn't.
Yeah.
Yeah.
They're tired of Jamis already, aren't they?
Gotta be.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Gotta be.
Anyway, that's how you do it.
You're allowed to make more than three picks.
There's a freedom.
Yeah.
Outside of this that we do.
That's the great thing about bet three, six, five.
It's single game.
It's props.
It's.
Same game.
All kinds of stuff.
Bet365, world's largest sports betting platform.
Whatever the moment, it's never ordinary at Bet365.
I'll just got a couple props tonight, friends.
Who loves going to plan in Montreal?
Rett.
Guys from Quebec and Red.
Very different reasons.
You think one of these fine Quebecers, Quebec are going to tickle the twine?
If so, look at the numbers.
Plus 280, plus 325.
It doesn't be your angle, but that's kind of big game hunting.
It is.
A bit of a reach, but to your point, maybe they'll be inspired.
The act of math has played well.
I liked this game.
I shouldn't say past played well.
Last game I enjoyed.
Net front.
I was going to say,
game before we were talking about banishing him to the press box.
He's played well over the last 60 minutes.
And you were no scoring this year, apparently.
There you have it.
All right.
Flames and Habs, there are 11 games, and there again, you can go into your Bet365 app, take a look around, find something you like, and have some fun.
It just makes it a little, everything a little more fun, a little more exciting.
Get the butterflies going.
Oh, boy.
Good times.
So we are going to be, and I put a thing in the folder there, Jack.
This is going to hurt you a little bit because I know you were excited about the wings.
But we are going to be afterburner tonight, post game.
now it's a 5 o'clock start, so at earlier afterburner,
we're going to do our postgame afterburner show tonight from Richmond's pub,
which is located in Glamorgan.
The heart of Glamorgan.
In the heart of Glamorgan.
And it is Wing Day.
Jack was very quick to sniff that out last week.
I wonder if it's wings?
I wonder if it's Wing Day?
Oh, no.
Retro, here's what we've got as far as the wing flavors at Richmond's.
On the dry side, we got Cajun salt, pep, lemon, pepper.
Dill pickle, Greek, Memphis barbecue.
We're saucing them up with some terriaki,
honey, garlic, Guinness barbecue, Korean barbecue,
hot honey, buffalo sauce, hot terriaki,
ajiago buffalo, inferno, honey, syracia,
maple barbecue, hot and sweet chili.
I'd like the looks at that menu.
Goodness, that's a lot of options.
I'm going Greek, I'm going Korean barbecue,
and I'm going hot.
What about your next five dozen?
Yeah.
The third, I'll double down again.
I'll go, do I see two?
Osceago buffalo and Buffalo.
Oh.
They've got so, because they've got a buffalo, a hot honey,
an Asiago buffalo, Inferno, and then hot.
There's four different barbecues, boys.
Memphis barbecue, Korean barbecue, Guinness barbecue, and Maple Barbecue.
Like, that's a lot of queuing.
Jack, if you weren't puky and sick, what would you be going with?
I'd be doing the hot for sure.
I'm just strictly a hot wing guy.
I don't know.
You start to mix it up.
I can spread your wings later.
Is there a chance that maybe your tickle or your little thing that it subsides by about
five o'clock this afternoon or are you out of commission?
Well,
I've got one of these homemade COVID test right in front of me and I'm trying to figure out how
that works.
Ryan told me to take it.
I didn't say it.
I said if you have COVID,
there are things that tell you if you have COVID.
If you're curious,
you can find the answer out.
I was ready to come in today.
That reaction is just,
especially on today,
election day of the U.S.
It's just,
it's very,
it's very good.
I need to know,
I kind of like the dry,
obviously both Memphis barbecue.
What are you doing?
What are we talking about here?
What do we,
hmm,
you know what I am?
Francis jointer owns it.
Greek's got to be good.
The Greek is.
It peaked my interest.
And I love lemon pepper and I love
Dill pickle and I'm with you.
I like, I just kind of like the straight up like the Franks red hot,
just hot wings.
Yeah.
Just for kind of a baseline.
Love it.
If we're going to move Jack off the hot,
we go to Honeyhot, then we get to hot terriaki.
And next thing you know, it's a whole new universe for them.
You start with the hot and you slowly move away.
Just so you know, I'm also going to have the Godfather pizza.
Okay.
Oh.
deal what's on what's on the godfather rock uh the godfather
italian sausage salami caramelized onions red and green peppers basil

This cake is delicious.
Two days later went back.
I'm going to get that cake right there.
Do you need anything written on it?
No, just cake.
Cake me.
Happy retirement.
It has to be the cake.
Yeah.
Happy Arbor Day.
So that when someone at the fridge tried to steal it.
Yeah.
F.
L.
Do not.
Bede it on the cake.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, we're looking forward to it.
I don't know what to expect from this, this game tonight.
I'm excited to see Wolf get back in.
Play well, son. Get in there.
Go get him.
Bounce back.
And you know what, Pospicil?
Let's have a nice response.
Your coach called you out.
Let's go.
Show them what you're all about.
Lane Hudson.
Do some things.
I don't care about Laytonton.
Who's the other guy?
Kirkland's in.
Pospicils up top.
No, Pospicels down.
Who's the guy run up?
Who's my guy?
You looked awfully sad the other night.
You feel bad. You're down. You're not.
Let's get one tonight.
Yes. Right?
Kuzmeco, let's get one.
Zeri, you kind of got called out a little bit too.
We love you, but your coach kind of said you weren't moving your feet.
You show them what it's all about.
Yeah, buddy.
Pospisal start running around.
That crowd is going to make him hate you.
Make him hate you.
At Wolf, let's go.
Come on, Welvey.
I can't believe we don't have a wolf thing.

I hope that goddamn head was in it.
I don't, it's, uh, well, I go to the W's.
Well, here's what I've, here's what's in the W file.
What the hell is wrong with you people?
Woo!
So that I'll have to work on the, uh, W file for you.
Airwolf, we need the Air Wolf.
Yeah, I'll get a wolf.
That's the one from the archives.
You know what other one I have?
See you, buddies.
