Let's go. Let's get at it. Monday. Tower Chrysler Studios. Barn burner. It's me and it's you and it's him. The Rettster. I'm interested about him. I feel like him's had a weekend here.
We are going to need some updates for sure as the Rettster is in Buffalo with a sore back. We've heard not a lot about what he did this weekend, but we've heard plenty about already.
And I went to checking the social media. I figured the new RET, the new gig.
He's spamming us with all kinds of Buffalo updates.
I think I saw Playto Wings.
That was the only update all weekend.
It's like it was a regular weekend in Buffalo and nothing had happened.
Nothing happening in Buffalo retro?
I put out, what are you talking about?
I put out a picture of the shoveler.
What?
When was this?
I retweeted a few things.
I was involved with Sank Fara Valley or also known as Frank Sera Valley.
There's some of you people out there.
Sank.
Sanko.
I'll have to change his name for tomorrow when he comes on as well.
The Redster and Sank.
I might have to change my...
Do you think that Twitter handles available?
The Redster?
I mean, now that you've said it, it's probably gone.
Warner 44.
All these people in the YouTube comments are going to get that and charge you for it.
Yeah, I see no shoveler images here.
There's an empty table at a diner.
That's all I got here.
No, there's one.
That's because I was pissed off.
There's a shoveler.
No one would...
From a day ago.
There's out there for sure.
is?
It's just not coming up.
The hell's the matter with you?
See, you got all those...
Look this.
I got...
Are you wanting tweets and replies?
Replies.
No one looks at the replies unless...
Well, it's not a reply.
I don't know what.
It's just showing up there.
Lots of snow anyway
in Buffalo.
You know what?
He didn't put the dot in front of her handle.
There it is.
Rookie.
Yeah.
If you start a tweet...
Never mind.
Yeah.
No, it's going to take half an hour.
Explain that.
Did you...
So, we got to...
We got a lost to talk about today.
We got a flames game from the other day.
We got a flames game tonight.
We got NFL football.
We got bets.
We got Pinder reports.
This is a big trophy being awarded yesterday in Regina.
That's right.
Wasn't even a bond spiel?
Yeah.
Pinder is already distracted with the soccer, Red.
Oh, it's about...
He was here before me.
I got to work in good time this morning.
He was very early today.
And yet he was scrambling to get stuff into Prency.
Scambling would be too strong.
There's a lot going on.
I'm trying to keep track of the games and all the things.
So you weren't watching and distracted by soccer?
I saw about 10 minutes here.
The rest is just doing what I always do.
So is this the real thing or is this the BS preliminary?
There's no preliminary.
It's the World Cup.
Good.
This is group play.
Netherlands, Senegal going on right now.
I have no idea what the score is.
It was nil-nill early in the second half.
Memphis to Pye.
You would know it was coming on.
Big Senegal fan.
excited.
No money for Senegal, I'm told.
That's not good for them.
It's not good for anybody, really.
Especially him.
You start acting that way.
Flames get a win on the weekend in Florida
against the Kachucks.
Yes.
And I don't know that it was a convincing.
Ha ha, take that as he tied the game late.
But they did get two points and he got one.
Yeah, he had two.
I guess he had two points.
Yes.
I mean, his team got one with the one point.
Flames got two.
Yeah.
Looked like Kachukuk out there.
Very Kachucky.
Yeah.
Kachukian performance.
Tip in front.
Nice pass on a power play.
Involved.
Yeah.
Good game.
But again, it was, I'm not going to critique this win.
I know it would be, you know, glass half full of me, which I'm not at the, I just, I'm
Mr. Positive.
Hey, look, it's, we've talked a lot about process versus result.
They got a result.
And some of the process.
process was good. But again, another two-goal lead blown and what are you doing goal for Markstrom?
That seems to be hallmarks of the season so far. So is that, I was thinking about that.
Is that a bad goal? Does that count as a bad goal when it's a mistake behind the net?
Oh, it's an awful goal. I just don't know that you put it in the same category as whiffing with
your glove, right? Because it's very different. One's like, ooh, don't want to see that again.
The other's like, well, that's going to happen twice a year and happen to be tonight. Okay,
we can live with it. There's the McDavid shot from the wall that goes through him. There's the
Philip Myers shot from the point that gets through him.
Well, this wasn't like that.
This was a different kind of a goal that shouldn't have gone in the net.
Yeah, this was a Mike Smith special.
It was the, what are you doing there?
You know, this painted ice?
That's where your feet are supposed to be.
He's having a hard time with the rim this year.
He has.
He's having a hard time handling that foot and puck.
And there's been a couple others where you're like, oh, oh, oh, oh.
Well, and you know why?
Because he got called up by Warner on front of.
Because Warner tried to trade them.
Trade groomers swirling after the Rettster threw his,
name right into the blender. Yeah, he wants the guy with 25 career appearances in the
NHL to guide the ship. Thanks, Rhett. How many did Kipper have when he first came to Calgary?
Well, less than that, yeah. So as long as Vlodar is Kipper, I think we've nailed it.
They'd be great if he's Kipper. Let's do it. If we got, if Markstrom could get injured,
we would find out, wouldn't we? Yeah, or if Daryl kept his word about starting him once a week,
There's another week.
There's another week without Fla Darryl.
We're not even in December.
Darrell, stop making these promises.
Isn't that his old squad, though?
Who?
Markstrom in Florida.
Yes, yes, that's right.
I thought you're talking about Flaar.
I mean, the plan of it,
he's not his old squad.
The plan of against Filly tonight.
Is he going again tonight?
Yes.
It appears as such.
Starters net.
Well, I think this is a,
get your head out of your hoop kind of moment.
Play you into form?
type stuff.
Yeah.
You want to keep screwing up.
I'll keep playing you.
Well,
and what?
He did respond to my criticism by letting in four.
And gifted, yeah, putting one on a platter.
There's a few you don't really,
like you get that kichuk tip.
It's like, okay, well, that's,
no one's going to be able to stop that one.
Right in front of them.
For Colin White, who isn't the Colin White that I remember.
Different Colin White?
Yeah.
This isn't the senator?
I don't think so.
This is a different call in white.
What?
Mr.
What?
Mr.
flat. So what does, because tonight it's the Flyers, and the Flyers are not very good right now.
And the thing is straight? So is this where you play your good goalie in games where the
opponent's tough and then you play them again against opponents that aren't very good because
you really have to win those games? So where does the backup go? Are we getting in Darrell's head
or are we doing our own thing here? Because I think I know what, you know, you know, Daryl wants to do,
which is always start his better goalie. It's what he's done. His whole career as a coach in the
Now, let's look at it.
They play Washington and Carolina back to back.
Two better teams.
Didn't Vlodar play Washington last year?
Oh, look it up.
Two years ago, that was when Markstrom kind of had the...
He wasn't here two years ago, so that wasn't it.
And it was last year when Markstrom was kind of out for a little stretch there.
Because Vlodar played, it was another, it was an afternoon game, if I'm not mistaken.
Anyway, so they played back to back.
You know Vlodar is going to go in one of those.
Pittsburgh Wednesday, Philly tonight.
I don't know.
I would play...
Vladar won one.
Washington, their fourth game of the year last year, four, three in overtime.
I think they had a big lead early and then watched it just dry away in the second half
the game.
Magic Panny on the road early, if I remember.
And then the other Washington game, I'm looking.
No, that was the one.
It was the road game last year.
Because they would have visited, but I don't know if you played that.
It was Lidar again, and he lost 5'4.
So you got the mixed bag there.
I don't, you know, whatever.
If Marksman's going to go tonight, he's going to go tonight.
Let him play.
Yeah, I think you got to save Lidar this week.
You got three games and four nights here.
I'm willing.
I'm more willing to let him off the hook for that goal on Saturday than the Philip
Myers.
Than a whiff with the glove.
Yeah, I agree.
Yeah,
but you're only willing because they won the damn game.
If they lose that game,
we're freaking.
No,
I think,
absolutely free.
Because you know what you can do?
It's probably the defenseman's fault,
Red,
because probably he comes out to play it in the D-Man,
he's lazy on a change.
Some, you know,
Zedora's late getting on,
so Gilbert's getting off,
so Gilbert can't get there in time,
and Markstrom's got no one to pass the puck too.
So Colin White's putting in your net.
How are you talking about the guy standing in the corner waiting for the pass?
You have the D union, get Kelly Rudia up with the goalie union to fight for a year over this.
Yeah, let's just shoot the puck, right?
I think what would be more concerning for me about a glove whiff is like your job's to stop the puck
and every goalie in the league is going to have a gaff or two behind the net at some point.
He's already had two or three straight whiffs on point shots that were unimpeded.
that would be more concerning for me
because it feels like a trend
whereas behind the net's just like
he had the big save off
Kopitar and that win against the Kings
it's Evie Stevie, right?
It's had the big win-in-law.
He's had some big saves.
It's, it'd be great.
Hey, Rhett.
We can rely on having one bad goal against
and overcoming it, not an issue.
Hey, Rhett.
We've got lots of scoring.
What?
Why do you hate Jacob Markstrom?
It's a good question.
Because he's not making
the defenseman look good.
He's not making Dennis Gilbert and Nick D. Simone and Zad Dog look good.
What about Gilbert?
Can you make my job easier, buddy, please?
Can you make it easier on the D a little bit?
Just stop a few, get him out of there.
Come on.
Gilbert's going to play again tonight from the looks of things.
So Stone was on the ice at skate this morning.
Gilbert's doing what he's supposed to do.
Gilbert's been great.
Yes.
I like Gilbert.
Honestly,
if you're Daryl and you've got these three guys you can go to,
Mackey, he,
and D. Simone and theoretically
Malosh and maybe down the road, it's
Schillington, whatever. Like, has he not built a really
strong case to be next man in? I've liked him
better than Mackey. Yes, 100%. Because you don't, and it's not
just because he's fighting. You see him fighting. But it doesn't hurt.
But you don't see him making the horrible
mistakes that Mackey was making. The one period
against the Devils was enough for Mackie to be like,
okay, why don't you just go for a month to the A? I think
the waivers get involved now, but still,
it's like, I think Gilbert's their best option
of Stone and Shillington aren't here.
Look at Typey Typerson there. Get your
out of your phone. What are you doing?
I'm straightening someone out.
Could you, there's three people on the chat.
Well, there's thousands of people that watch and listen.
Could you?
Listen, if he's texting Marks from playing the puck, that's important.
You can finish that text.
He's talking to Freethinker or something on the YouTube chat.
Smarting up.
I can do two things at once.
I can hear you as I type.
It's amazing.
Okay.
So then your thoughts on that?
on what?
You've changed a subject.
Oh, the same subject.
On Gilbert.
I think Gilbert, I said what I thought of Gilbert.
I think he's doing exactly what he should do.
Yeah.
But aside from the scraps, because those are easy to notice.
I don't think he's had many egregious mistakes.
But how else do you get noticed if you're here?
How else do you get noticed if you're here?
I guess what I'm saying is I've liked, it's just, it's little things,
which sounds like it should be the easiest job in the world,
but it's one of the hardest jobs in the world,
is not to get exploited by Barkov and Kachuk in these types of players.
He hasn't played a ton.
Like he's making a strong case to be their number seven or eight guy.
I don't know how we put Chillingen into these things because I don't know if he's
going to be here or not.
Played 11.5 minutes minus one.
I don't know.
Got the scrap.
He's fine.
Just don't be a complete greater.
Don't screw it all up.
That's the job for the 7, 8, 9, 10 guys.
So what are we seeing with?
Rizitschka.
Is this a nice little run here?
A big two-week run from a guy that comes up.
It happens.
Sometimes guys get in and then they come back to where they probably should be.
And then...
Trying to think the last time happened to flames.
I mean, the thing is, he's been up for a long time.
And we had, we chatted with Connie last week and he was talking about like, man,
this guy dominated in the American League.
Like, he was clearly better than the competition.
And so some of it you have to think, okay, well, here's some opportunity now.
You're not going to be out there with Lewis.
and Luchich or, you know, not to slander those guys,
but these are entirely different skill sets he's playing with.
And to be fair, the type of player he's played with this whole career
until he arrived at the NHL.
So I think you're happy with that, but it's also a hot run.
Like he's not going to average.
Four goals on 12 shots.
Right?
Like that's 33%.
He's probably going to shoot around 12.
And I was thinking kind of the same thing.
When's the last time?
And is it Sam Bennett?
Scenarios are different, but the last time a new face came in,
played and found the net at this kind of a pace and not even to this pace.
Yeah, Sam had that near 20 goal rookie pace.
But that's, that's different.
That's a number three overall, number one central scouting.
Rizhka's been working for years after you're drafted.
I know.
Just in terms of seeing a new face come in from the farmer wherever and step in and make an impact.
Honestly, it's a different position, but the way Stone stood up for this team last year
after hardly playing for like two and a half years, and you're like, geez, like,
when's this hot chuggan and you're like, well, maybe he is power play too, guys.
And then in the playoffs, he steps into bigger role.
I think that's kind of similar because they've been around, but just not playing.
Rozychka's going to be pumped to be compared to Stone.
You're a lot like Stone.
The guy who...
PTO every year.
They're going to keep you around.
Well, I don't think either of those are great cops, Bennett, nor Stone.
But I don't know.
You're used to seeing guys in Pittsburgh show up on Crosby's line of put up points, but not here.
I'm saying it just doesn't have much.
Young player prospect, not my...
Michael Stone.
No, fair.
Young forward to come in.
He's five years old than better.
So how much of this is sustainable, Red?
How much of this is he's,
well,
stop, stop, because Manjapani did it.
That's who did it.
He kind of went one, four, line three,
line two.
He worked in there and find his way and he's going to play on shitty lines.
And all of a sudden he gets on a better line and he starts producing.
And he knows, he's an NHLer and you got to rely on.
He has been terrible this year, but he's going to get better.
Why can't Ruzich can't,
be that. That's fair. And you know what? Just like Rizitschka, he's had significant time in the American
League and dominated at that level before earning his chance on a bottom line here and moving his way
up. I think that's a really good comp. I can't, I can't think that I'm brave enough to say he's going to be,
well, I don't even know what his point per game, that he's going to be 60 points every year. But I,
we said it. Connie said it. We've all thought it. It's nothing to do with skill set. No.
Well, he's got eight points in seven games, right?
So, you know, he's not a 90-100 point guy.
Whatever.
I know.
But I just wonder.
But why not?
Why isn't he a 70-point guy?
I was going to say, as you watch him.
Is a skill set not good enough?
No.
Just let me ask the question.
Just hang on.
As you watch him, I feel like we're not seeing him just getting backdoor tap-ins as the
other guys are doing all the work.
Yeah, he's contributing.
He's a part.
He is very much deserving of the success he's having.
What are you seeing is it you laughed last week at the at the chemistry line, but there's there's something kind of there. He's looking more confident. This doesn't, he's not going to score at this rate, but it doesn't feel like he's a week away from being back on the fourth liner in the press box. I think he can fit there and I think he's the third best player on the line. And I think for whatever reason, those three guys have fit well together. He's a nice bigger body that skates well and can retrieve pucks. Go to another. Probably one of those situations where,
let's not try to read too much into it.
Let's just keep playing.
We don't need to talk about while he had a chance
and then he got comfortable and he faltered and he got lazy
and his inconsistency showed up and now he's in and out of the lineup again.
Do you know what happened to his eye?
That becomes a real...
Darrell Popham one at practice one day or something?
He'll wash his hands after the wash him.
A little pink time.
Jesus.
Because I was around for weeks.
You didn't see it?
I would suggest that if he can stay in that spot,
that really helps them balance the second and third line.
I love back on Coleman together.
I'm super happy they put the cadre,
Dubay Manjapani line back together,
albeit not big minutes overall for Dubay on Saturday.
And I think the fourth liners belong in the fourth line
because they're fourth liners, right?
They're all vets that have been in this league a long time,
whereas Rizitschka, who at one point was a fourth liner,
at least you're like, well, there's a skill set.
where he hasn't been a fourth liner at every other level.
Maybe he could not be a fourth liner for this group.
We've said the lineup looks like they're a top nine guy short,
and if he wants to play anywhere in that top nine
and contribute at a 50% rate of where he's at now,
that would be a really helpful addition to this team.
How many posts has Dylan Dubay hit this year?
A thousand.
Hit another one on Saturday.
To the point I'm now feeling bad for the guy.
He's cursed.
He's got to have at least five or six goal posts.
What animal does he have to kill and in what process
and to what gods does he pray?
Because, like, there's a, there's a curse upon him.
And I felt that way about Manjel a little earlier,
but he's just not around it as much as anybody's been able to.
What's going on with Manjapani, Red?
Big contract.
Fat cat.
Is that it?
Is he F and S?
Fat and sassy?
I don't know.
It's probably more in line of,
I got to live up to this than it is.
Squeezing it.
Kicking the feet up and, yeah, right?
It's probably more, man, I'm getting paid.
I got to show up.
I got to produce.
I got to produce.
I got to produce.
And it's, yeah, he's a little bit stressed about it.
I mean, he's looking up at Brett Ritchie in the stats, right?
You know what I'm seeing with him?
He's never been an elite distributor.
Like, he's fine, but he's yielding the puck a ton.
Like, you see him on two on ones, odd man rushes, moving into the net.
Like, he's not shooting it.
And it's like, that's a guy that always shot it.
And now he's always passing.
That just seems feels like a guy that's in his own head.
I don't know him there.
No one's acting there.
No.
I just see him passing one.
It's like, why are you passing there?
You're in the house.
I guess I haven't noticed it as much.
It just doesn't look like he's involved enough to me.
I mean,
have you seen him irritate anyone this year?
Not like usual.
I mean,
I think we saw the stat a couple of years ago.
He had like one of the shortest distances on net from his average shot.
That means you're always on the paint in the action.
And I think there's less of that.
for sure.
And it doesn't have to be, but if he gets irritating guys, he's going to get no, you know what
I mean?
Sometimes it drags you into it, right?
All of a sudden, guys are pissed off.
Yeah.
You kind of put a target on yourself and you can't not play.
He was one of those guys that would just kind of work his way out of stuff like this.
It felt like you never, man, you just never.
It's a weird season last two, right, wasn't it?
You had all those goals early on the road, almost nothing.
at home and then the second half really dried up offensively for him.
Because remember last year, Daryl, the one after the one practice or something,
he talked about how hard it is to play.
He's like compared him to a sports car or something, I think that day.
He's like, it takes a lot of fuel to go that hard to be, to play and to go at that
highest speed.
And I'm, I'm with you.
I don't think he's put his feet up.
I don't think it's a situation where it's like, no.
Now my unborn children don't need to work.
I don't think it's that.
but it's it's part of
it's part of the ups and downs of it for sure three goals
three assists in 17
where's how many shots has he got you got that in front of you or no
32 yeah so he's shooting it under 10%
that's not 9.4 that's not like whoa
there's huge aggression coming but it's below what he'd normally
but he's probably somewhere 12 to 15
so that's the game against the Florida Panthers anything else
any other takeaways from that one
I mean I
well fill the buck
They've beat Florida, top team, Carolina, top team, Vegas, top team.
Edmonton.
Who else have the?
Carolina.
Edmonton.
There's been some good teams.
Stupid devil's got them twice.
What else was I thinking?
They're in a similar spot to Calgary.
Like I look at them.
They're just outside the playoff pitcher in the east.
And that division, we know, like Boston's way healthier, way better than we thought they'd be at this point,
given how, I don't know about their off season.
Like, these guys won't be back to Christmas.
They're all back.
They're good.
Getting lights out gold.
And Toronto for all the drama early on, they're right up there.
Detroit's pushing a bit.
And like Tampa's there as well.
Like they, I find them in a similar spot to Calgary in a way.
It's a season, an offseason of a lot of change.
And they're just on the cusp.
You're okay with that extension, right?
Because you didn't know how he's going to fit in there.
But they extended him right away.
Who, the Cachachuk extension?
Is Bill Zito okay?
It's a sign and trade, but never saw him play a game in the jersey before they brought him, brought him in with that big fat contract.
He's taking a run at you is what's happening.
I'm trying to.
Yeah.
Are you guys trying to?
I'm not trying to do anything.
I'm just trying to keep the show moving.
It's all I'm doing.
So Philly tonight.
Well, it's a hot start, right?
How about Raspus Anderson?
Pretty nice winner.
I wasn't sure when I saw Raspus Anderson coming around fine.
I would say the flames were fortunate to.
I would say the flames were fortunate to see Spencer Knight on the pipes on Saturday afternoon.
The other guy's better, but I don't think night was great.
Is that your point?
That's my point.
The Coleman one, was it Coleman that scored in the third there?
He just shuffled it through him.
That was off the leg.
I guess.
Yeah, it was, and look, there were nine goals.
Ping.
Two nothing, two, two, two, three, three, three, four, three, four, four, four.
I think of me, it was, it was not Daryl Sutter hockey.
No, I wonder with some of these games, as he's watching blown leads and high scores.
If there's one thing, maybe we could see if it helps is, can there be a bit of an exhale from Eubertoe and Weeger?
Now that's over, that's done.
They've done the return.
That's like, there's no thinking about it.
That circled date on the calendar is all rearview mirror now.
I didn't think your buddy Uyger was very good the other day, Red.
I thought he had a bit of a rough one.
His buddy?
Oh, so it didn't look like a number one.
Heart trophy.
Just looked like he was.
Whatever the first was.
What are you smoking?
Weiger for heart.
No one said he's a one now either.
Make the t-shirts.
Get them going.
So before we want...
I love you backpedling pricks.
Oh, what he thought?
He's going to run the power play.
No, he's never run a power play.
And I do think he's number two.
You thought he was going to maybe be the power play guy, though.
Me?
No.
As Rasmus, and they're missing.
and they don't have a power play.
He's never been at there.
When the hell did a number two defenseman not play on the power play?
Well, he could be power play too,
but he's not a power play quarterback is my point.
I still think they're missing that guy.
That's a piece that this team doesn't have
as an elite power play defenseman.
He's an average.
That's what he is.
He's had an average 17 games.
I won't fight you on that.
Florida's coming to town on the 29th.
We've got tickets to give away for that game.
We are going to figure out how we're going to do this.
But they are brought you.
you by Madrose Pub up in Royal Oak.
20 beers on tap,
kid friendly Saturday, Sunday, and Mondays.
Burgers, pasta, steak, steak sandwiches,
every day, fresh dough and sauce for those pizzas.
Wings or nails.
Take out, do it online, madrose.
Dot Pub, 15 Royal Vista Place.
And I want to tie in Bontan meats here.
We had somebody on the old Twitter,
went up, they were up in the north,
did the double up.
Did the double.
as here is this from
SM Porky or something.
Sparky.
I'm doing my part for the pod boys.
First Mad Rose Pub for lunch
and then a little bon ton for some goodies
to take home.
Hashtag potato salad.
All I see is wins everywhere there.
There's just collecting Ws on a day.
That's amazing.
Lunch for you.
Goodies for the family.
Everyone's happy.
Swing by Village.
Grab a Honda.
Grabing a quarter to
and have yourself a week.
You can, bud.
Call it a win.
Yeah, that's good stuff.
So Madrose and Bon Ton.
So how are we giving these tickets away then?
It's going to have to do with a new platform.
Platform.
Just shut up.
You would, you.
I can't tell you right now.
I can't tell you.
And it was your idea.
Okay.
I mean, I can't.
You just said, we found out a way.
I thought that was the tease as you were going to tell us the way.
But not yet.
It's on the 29th.
We have time.
We do have time.
We do have time.
Today, Philadelphia, 5 o'clock local.
Carter Hot.
Cat a hat is going to go for the flyers.
We'll talk about the flyers in that before we,
the end of the show, before we get to the end of the show.
But now, Buffalo Bills play on the weekend.
They play in Detroit.
They find out, they do get a win.
They were not very good in the first half.
They were much better in the second half.
Redo's whiskey.
You do owe whiskey with Sank.
But this, there was many, there was a lot of stuff coming out of,
Buffalo as far as social media.
How the players in Buffalo even got to the plane to get out,
neighborhoods coming in and helping.
But this was one guy.
I wondered if this was maybe a neighbor of yours.
I feel like this is maybe a relative.
That's pretty good.
Yeah, is that your vehicle, Rhett?
You said you got one on you.
It landed there.
Can't be real.
Do you know what a streeter is?
A streeter is news talk.
If you're on news...
like TV show and you go out and you're going to talk to the people.
Hey, what can you tell me?
So you're out and you're talking to people on the street.
This was a streeter from Buffalo.
I wonder if, do you know this guy?
Is that your boy?
No, I don't recall him.
Wait for it.
Why?
You'll see.
Pretty good, but I'm running out of beer, which is a problem.
And weed.
But that's my own fault.
I should have stopped.
fucked up ahead of time.
Honestly.
Isn't that your house in the background?
It's not your neighborhood?
I did.
No,
but I read somewhere
where one guy went to the store
and all he bought was beer.
Well, yeah, you need it.
But you know what?
Down to Earth guy
accepts the responsibility.
It's accountability right there.
It's his fault.
It should have known.
It was very widely publicized
that this thunder,
snow or whatever the hell it was coming.
Apparently,
there was thunder.
There was.
Did you hear it?
I saw some clips on the Twitter.
Like trees bending in the wind, snow everywhere, and then all of a sudden,
so was it as bad as they say?
Coletta, where we are, no.
Like it's not a light dusting, probably where we are.
We got eight to 12 inches.
But like my kids coach, Pat Coletta, former Sabre's great.
Great.
Is that how we know him your kids coach?
He didn't get out of his, he didn't get out of his house till yesterday morning or afternoon.
He was in his house from Thursday till there was no going anywhere.
Couldn't leave.
I loved some of the stuff on the bills, social media where it's like, yeah, okay, like the game's moved.
That's not the hard part.
The hard part is literally getting all these players out of their homes to an airplane that is waiting on a cleared runway.
like digging guys out,
snowmobile to ATV to truck to airport
and just the look in their eyes
when they get into that truck and they're like,
I'm going to make the game.
So where you were,
was it that bad,
was it as bad?
You said not as best old.
You just said a foot.
Yeah,
it's not six feet.
No, it was,
listen, nothing.
The kids,
the school was canceled Friday and today for,
but mostly because if people live anywhere south of Buffalo
got absolutely smashed like six feet.
Like it no joking they got smashed so if there's teachers and stuff living down there they can't drive like it's the roads are still and the part happens is dummies get their vehicles stuck on the highways so now the plows can't even get through so then it becomes an issue blah blah blah blah it takes a little longer so but but near us it was nothing so how far are you from the stadium?
I'm 20 minutes north or uh high mark there were the bills play yeah
35 minutes.
North.
Yeah, so right was explaining last week.
Everything south of the lake is where the chaos is,
and he's kind of not really there.
Yeah, there's ATB.
The city of Buffalo and south.
It's, yeah, there they go.
There they go.
Love it.
Time for the Pinda report brought to you by Village Honda.
Two million dollars, Village Honda,
has set aside to buy vehicles.
Used vehicles.
We'll buy your car even if.
If you don't buy hours, they say, get a trip to Las Vegas.
What more reason do you need, huh?
What more?
Huh?
Than to head up to 76633, 110th Ave, Northwest, or visit villagehonda.com online.
Time for the Pinder Report.
And Anthony's going to be happy up at Village.
We've got two late goals for the Dutch in the second half.
Really?
Wow.
He was sweating.
Sweating at halftime.
I'm excited.
It's only the most popular.
sport in the world.
That's right.
Take it.
Okay.
It might catch on at some point.
We cross our fingers.
Four years can be here.
It's going to be fun.
Canada.
All right.
So where should we start?
We'll start with the flames in Florida on Saturday.
We went through the game.
It was nice to see the not awful lines, wasn't it?
I think we've had our quota of Milan Lucci's second line for the season.
Love you, Boulon.
This is a much better Milan here, I think.
Rosie stays up top of.
note. We touched on his performance and that second line that was so good in those first six
games where they went five and one reunited. And I don't really mind Hubertow, Backlin Coleman.
It's certainly not overwhelming, but it hasn't been bad at all. And there's the look of the lines.
Markstrom save on Kachuk in the shootout, certainly significant, glove save, and I love the look.
This is too, like, I think Markstrom's sneaky, ultra-competitive.
And it's like, you could do whatever you want there. Stair him.
down and swat the puck back.
That would have been the ultimate kichuk, though.
You get two points in regulation and win it in the shootout.
I thought he was faking for sure, because he's got that move where he goes across his body as
the left shot and then kind of goes back over the left shoulder of the goalie.
But no, he tried to rip it.
You like those unis there, Rhett?
No.
I thought they were awesome.
I don't.
Name bars are garbage.
You couldn't see the names, but I thought the color set up and the palm tree and the hockey stick.
Yeah, my kids like them too.
Maybe that's Florida.
Big.
That'll be under your Christmas tree,
rat, for your kids.
Don't mind those yokes,
the red yokes on the shoulders.
That's nice.
Yeah.
One kid's a big Florida fan,
so actually that's not a bad idea.
There you go.
Does a kid know that his dad played for the Panthers?
Barely.
Barely played or he barely knows.
Ran into Terry Martin.
Remember a guy by the name of Terry Martin?
Terry Martin, he was with Colorado last year.
He was a coach and scout.
played, being around the game forever, just retired. Terry Martin was in the gym today,
said hello to him. Does he know Lynn Loyn's brother? He probably knows of him.
Okay. Well, he's a scout, so he'd be familiar. He would, yeah. Terry's dialed in.
So the Flames are in Philly today, gentlemen. The Flyers had a really good start under Torts
and did it really against the grain. They weren't really out shooting, outchancing. They just got
some great goaltending and some timely scoring. They're really bad by a lot of measures. And I'm
not here trying to curse the flames.
But I went to look today.
31st in the NHL and goals four.
That's second from the bottom.
14th in goals against.
That's middle of the pack.
That's what they're best at.
They're 14th.
Power play 28th.
Penalty kill 27th.
29th in shots per game.
25th in shots against per game.
There's no guaranteed wins in this league at any time.
But look at this roster.
Look at the Philly lines here and tell me how many guys you recognize in the top nine
if you're being honest with yourself.
There's some who.
that's and what and huh? Why is he there? They're very hurt. They have Couturier and Ryan Ellis who have
not played all year. Significant injuries the last few years for both those guys. James Van Rheemesdyke has
missed 12 games. Travis Kinectney leads them in points and goals. He hurt himself in the weekend.
He's not playing today. Scott Loudon is out as well. So yeah, it's a lot of youngsters. Owen Tippett
came in in the Clodgeroo trade. He's actually been pretty good for them. He had a couple goals Saturday against
Montreal. He's got that fiery red hair.
So red. I'm talking about depth down the middle.
How many teams can go Frost, Cates, Brown, and Sedlack?
That's a law firm.
Isn't it?
Yes.
Have you been injured in a car accident?
Call Frost, Kate's Brown, and Sedlack.
We don't get paid unless we settle.
All right. Thanks, guys.
Notes of the flames ahead of tonight's game.
Stone was on the ice.
That's good to see.
As he's been missing for a while,
That spawned the Gilbert D. Simone playing time.
And no Richie, who is dinged up on Saturday.
So do we have a roondog return?
Hmm.
I guess.
Have, well, and don't just slide Lewis to just don't, just slide him over, put the roon dog in there.
And don't be moving Looch each around.
That's enough.
Do you think the roon dog can handle Sedlack and Cates?
Cates and Zedlack.
I'm not sure.
Law firm. Tall, tall order.
5 o'clock Calgary time, 7 o'clock, Bill's time or Sabres time for you, Rhett.
Rest of the road trip looks like this. Wednesday, Pittsburgh, and then a Friday, Saturday.
Matinee back-to-back, noon in Washington, two in Carolina before they zip home.
One in one thus far on the roadie.
NHL News, Devils are red hot.
Last week, we left to the weekend.
They were on a winning streak.
We come back this week.
They're still on a winning streak.
Drake. Devils.
12 in a row.
Can we handle that?
12 in a row?
12.
Like every team can seem to get to like 8, 9, 10 once a decade.
They're at 12.
12 in a row.
They have their goals for 4.25 a game.
So I mean, you're going to win some games when you're firing in more than four a night.
Yeah.
But, and who do they play tonight?
The Hoylers.
Go devils.
on Saturday night.
Aud McDavid score an overtime?
Oh, yeah.
Yes, the lottery balls continue to pay dividends there.
Malkin had his thousandth game on the weekend.
Red, did you see the warm-ups?
No.
What did the fellas do for your thousandth game in warm-ups?
Still wait.
Okay.
Here's what they did for Gino.
He's got a very unique warm-up routine, and there you go.
It's just like, what's happening in the Flamingo Sanctuary at the zoo?
They're all doing some weird thing.
Oh, yeah, they always do it.
The penguins are doing it again.
Good for Gino.
Of course, he scored.
His kid read the lineup.
Don't know if you saw that.
Came into the room.
That was emotional.
Awesome.
Speaking of a thousandth games,
Alex Gologoski, long time heart and solar, gets to a thousand.
Finally, they have the big ceremony for him ahead of the wild.
He's been scratched almost every game this year.
Been a real tough go for him.
They do the ceremony, families there, the painting,
and look who's on the ice and overtime three on three.
Zink!
Come on.
Into the corner and look at his face.
He is absolutely loving life.
Good for him.
He's emotional after the game, said it's been awful.
I'm used to playing, I'm not playing, it's been a nightmare.
And the joy on his face, that OT winner,
that's how you celebrate a thousand.
You feel good for him, hey, Red?
Sure do.
It's nice.
I scored an overtime.
we'll have to get that story told one day
first I've heard of it really
great cop was this weekend in Regina
yeah I know amazing stuff
here is the most CFLE thing of all time
read it to us red please
read it please be true
we're hearing from observers that the vehicle carrying
the gray cup was towed away from Mosaic Stadium
being parked illegally it has since
reportedly being returned.
Everything about that is CFL.
It's like,
it's just probably like a RAM 1500 from Tower that's got it.
There's no markings on the vehicle.
It was parked illegally because the guy's like,
well,
I can't find any damn parking here.
The stadium's full.
I got to get the great cup in here.
Close to the stadium.
And then, of course,
they got it back,
no sweat because it's like,
oh yeah,
everyone in the stadium knows Jim,
who's the only towing guy in Regina.
I was going to say,
we got it solved.
Don't worry about it.
It would be some shitbox van
would be parked outside.
with the hazards on.
It's like,
get this thing out of here,
would you?
Oh,
the great cups inside.
Jesus.
It was even more CFLE
than all the logos
from the riders field,
like seeping through the gray cup paint
in the end zones in its center field.
Dude driving the van is inside.
Hey, stay for a Pilsner.
No, I got the cup.
I got to get moving.
All right, just one.
Just one.
Okay, just one.
Sounds good.
Where's the fan?
Shit!
You had one job.
My buddy Holt was hanging out.
to all the parties this weekend.
Bart.
She's sending pictures.
Barton was in the Gainer the gopher's car.
In the,
gopher hole.
Not much better.
Dude,
don't even bring that up.
That's still a sore spot for me.
One of the worst decisions you've ever made in your life.
There's some bad.
I don't know if that's true.
Rhett could have bought the Gainer Mobile.
We wouldn't be,
come on.
Come on.
Just for all the things you did in your life, for shits and giggles,
and you wouldn't buy that car just for even a day to wheel around and put your dummies in the friggin gainer hole.
Come on.
That's disappointing.
Okay.
As for the game, an incredibly mediocre first half and an amazing finish to the game.
Multiple block kicks.
We had major turnovers.
How about our boy Corey Mace's defense?
And here's the stat, courtesy Morley Scott.
Per CFL stats, there were two blocked field goals all season.
Same number as the fourth quarter of the Great Cup.
Amazing.
Lots of former stampeters on that roster.
And our boy, Mace, did a great job with that D.
They really had a lot of pressure when it mattered.
Happy for Mace.
Huge congrats to him.
I sent him the eyeballs emoji.
He sent an emoji back, but it wasn't until about four Regina times.
So I hope they celebrated and are to bed by now.
It feels appropriate.
So Toronto one?
Toronto one, that's correct.
Yeah.
What were your takeaways, Rhett?
And there's a guy that knows a little bit about being on the right side of the ledger.
Toronto doesn't get to the Great Cup often, but every time they go, they win since 1986.
I had no idea that.
Isn't that insane?
Really?
Yes.
So their Great Cup appearances are way less than the stamps, way less than the Tycats, way less than a lot of other teams, Winnipeg even.
They have more Great Cup this decade than the ball.
Bombers, then the stamps, then the tie cat.
Every time they go, they win.
So for people that aren't watching, read that.
Mike Pinball Clemens is now 7 and 0 in the Great Cup as a player, coach, and exec.
Argo's last loss in a great cup was in the mid-80s.
Benball's a great guy.
Isn't he?
Well, the best.
Yeah.
And big shout out to Hinoch, Mwamba, the MVP and MCP, most valuable Canadian player.
MCP.
Emotional.
Ten years in the league.
Got some hardware.
and came up with a big pick late after missing one early.
So redemption.
What was this score?
Was it 24, 23?
It was a one-pointer.
It's not close.
Yeah, they're not worried about the score.
They're worried about who gets to carry the trophy.
NFL, Zach Wilson and the Jets offense was absolutely deplorable,
but not if you ask him.
Let's check in on our hot shot Melfhunter.
As an offense, though, I mean, when you guys are only able to score three points,
the defense only lets up three points?
I mean, do you feel like you let the defense down at all?
No.
Yeah, that's nine completions on the day and 10 puns.
Nope, didn't let down the defense.
Thanks, Zach.
Hope you enjoy selling rental cars.
I saw the one.
It's got to be over soon.
Oh, man.
I read yes, worse numbers than Sanchez, worse than Sam Darnold.
Just Flacco will look great with this offense.
It's like, come on now.
Nine of 22 for 77 yards.
They had two yards of offense in the second half.
Didn't let down the defense.
though. In the second half.
Second half. Tide 3-3.
Two yards. You're above 500
with a chance to try to lock into
playoff position. Sauce Gardner was
asked afterwards. I guess just your thoughts.
Well, we gave up three points.
That's true
because the touchdown New England got after
that was on a kick. Those special teams.
Man.
And apparently some infighting from
Jets headquarters this morning. Oh, really?
The defense heard these comments post-game
and now are reacting to said comments
from their leader.
Zach Wilson,
good luck to you.
It's like,
you might be big with the...
So the room's not great.
I don't think it's great today.
Might be popular with the cougars.
Mm-hmm.
But not in here,
mister.
Yeah, your mom book club loves you.
You gotta be some...
You're gonna be a little bit of a different group.
That way.
Don't you like,
you have to be an idiot to answer that?
Yes, you do.
You have to be so oblivious.
It's incredible.
Yeah.
To not even say the,
it's the easiest thing,
yeah, I need to be better.
It's me.
Don't even let the, you know, my fault.
I got to be better.
I'm going to work hard.
Nope.
Did the offense let the team down?
No.
Two yards offense in the second half.
Congrats.
Zach.
Put that on here.
He is a good looking guy, though.
I can see why the.
I think it looks like a real putts.
Looks like a prick.
He's got that punch me in the face look to him.
Especially saying no.
You had a chance to be humble there.
Big swing and a miss.
Down he goes.
And tonight, buckle up for Colt McCoy and the Arizona Cardinals.
appears Kyle Limer is not going to be able to go against the 49ers.
John Kyler!
It's hurt.
Yeah, he's...
It's a...
Too much for here.
Now, this one's in Mexico City.
That's right. Niners in Mexico City.
What happens there, Ryan?
Well, you get bags of piss thrown at you as Tech if the national team's playing.
Speaking of the World Cup, which is underway, we have some results.
Ketter becomes the first host nation ever to lose their opening match at the World Cup.
But they sure do pay their bribes well, so it's not a huge loss for FIFA.
Today, Netherlands beat Senegal two-nil, a couple of goals in 84th, and then late in stoppage time.
That saves the day for the Dutch.
And earlier this morning, the English just absolutely pounded the snod out of Iran, 6 to 2.
Canada's first match, noon, Calgary time, Wednesday against Belgium, I believe, will be without Locaku, one of their top three players.
Huge blow. Davies says he's good to go. And if Stefan Astakio can be ready as well,
it's a better omen for Canada than the injuries for the Dutch. What are you doing for the game?
See, the problem is the establishment I'm ready to go to probably be lined up at 10 a.m.
And we have a show that day. So I'm going to try to, I don't know that I'll get in there. So I'm working very diligently on a plan B.
My plan A will fall apart as I arrive and it's already lined up in that capacity minutes.
before kickoff.
If you didn't have this show, what would you do?
I'd be there at 10 a.m.
It's the venue to watch this sport in this city.
What time would you have to get there to be in for 10?
Probably, I'd think.
Well, the game starts at noon, so if you're there at 10, you're probably fine.
Do the show from there.
Oh, boy.
You know, I'll do that if you tell me to.
What day?
What day?
Wednesday.
Canada, Belgium.
It will be absolutely upside down.
The scenes will be a nightmare and it'll be so loud.
You won't be able to hear me.
I don't know that I want to do that to you.
necessarily.
I could check in every 10 minutes.
I don't know.
No, because the game wouldn't have started yet.
That's right.
That's why I was saying you could do the show.
Maybe it won't be that loud.
Okay, we'll investigate further on that topic.
We'll investigate further.
And finally, the afternoon game today,
the Americans take on Wales, the Welsh.
Delicious.
Love that grapefruit.
Grape, not grapefruit, grape.
Do you like the purple or the green?
It's not swinging to miss.
It's grape.
The green grape.
Who drinks green grape?
I know,
let alone regular grain juice.
It's got to be the purple grape.
Hideous.
Dareth Bale, attractive man.
Americans love their handful.
That's it for your Pinda Report, folks.
There you go.
It is the Pinda report brought to you by Village Honda.
Come and experience the all-new redesigned 2023 Honda CRV at Village Honda.

Two million bucks.
Sell them your car.
What's the date?
20-something.
Every Sunday in the month of November,
our buddies over at South Street Burger in New York,
Fry's hosting a family skate at Optimist Park.
Sunday afternoons at 1245,
you're invited to a free skate at Optimist Arena.
Sweet.
Giveaways, prizes, money going all month long,
just every month, the kids sport Calgary.
We're going to wrap up the swir jar before too long.
I think it's full.
You know, and...
Overheeping.
We need to talk to Brian and Braden.
they've been holding out on us because we know that they've got
New York fries.
It's South Street Burger.
South Street Burger.
There's also this, what is it,
La Dipperie?
Oh, La Dipperie.
Like ice cream or some yogurt or something.
And then a putinery or something?
Dude.
Yeah, like you know who we are.
Don't hide that from us.
What is the story?
South Street Burger.
Dotcom.
Seven South Street locations across.
Street Burger.
We're pricks, but they're pricks,
but they're.
The burgers are great.
You're going to love the burgers, even though we're bunch of.
We talked a little bit about the NFL.
We did NFL picks for Betway.
Let's go.
So for Betway today, let's take a look, see how we did on the weekend.
Ret got his in just in the nick of time.
Always goes with the bills.
I know, I think you were on the other side of the.
It's a half point.
You got it by half point?
That means I missed by half point.
We'll take a look.
We'll take a look.
Love to get your point spread picks.
It makes the games fun.
Stupid Kansas City.
Kansas City, five and a half.
So we didn't know that Mike Williams and Keenan Allen were going to play when we made these picks.
Because you said everyone was hurt.
Well, they were.
And then as soon as it was like they're active, it's like, okay, well, I don't like that pick as much.
But it was a dummy.
We should have known they were close.
And Williams got hurt again anyway and left the game early.
Yeah.
I don't know.
I think either way I was Monday morning quarterback, I'm still probably going to go with that five and a half.
They do not cover.
They get it.
We'll talk about that final drive in a moment.
We just talked about the Jets as well.
They put up three points.
The Patriots on a final minute punt return all the way to the heist.
First punt return all season to the heist.
And it was close, but the Panthers do cover the.
So congrats to the Panthers for kind of sneaking in that 13 and a half.
So I go two for three.
Well, that was three three at the half, too.
It was snooze fest there.
I have it in my notes to ask read about Lamar Jackson.
How's Lamar,
doing.
You didn't trade him,
eh?
I thought you were trading him.
Deadline passed on Saturday.
Lamar, what did he?
Oh, 2433,
209 yards and a pick.
No touchdowns.
Not ideal.
We ran one, luckily.
Anyway, so those are my Sunday bets.
I was due for a good,
0 for 3.
I said it last week, and there it is.
It was 2 in 1, 4 weeks in a row,
now 0 and 3.
Bleep.
Houston, slobernocked.
Browns missed by a half point.
Kansas City, of course, they win.
They just didn't win by enough
against my stupid charge.
Don't give the ball to Mahomes or the buck 48 and three timeouts.
Why were you thinking you're screwed?
Texans there.
I just saw a big gap between money and tickets and thought smart people are putting their money there.
Follow them.
It didn't work.
Yeah.
All right.
And retro, your picks from Sunday.
We know there's the bills.
And if Pinder is half point the wrong way.
We know you're half point the right way.
We were against each other against the Green Bay.
Bill's game last week, and I got that by a half point, so he gets me by a half point this time.
What is, what?
The eight point Buffalo win.
The Ravens do not cover, and the, uh, the giants got thrashed by the lions who have won three in a row.
Suddenly good, the kneecap biters.
Trashed by the lions.
After trading Hawkinson, too.
Ah.
Dan Campbell, he's got them going, man.
Oh, sure.
There's a big win, man.
There you go.
It's our betway bets of the day.
Bet responsibly.
who's got the line for tonight?
In terms of who's making the Betway bets?
Yeah, no, no, who's favored in this game?
Niners and cards.
I think I thought, so I was around seven.
I'll check right now, though.
Colt McCoy.
I wonder if it's moved on that news.
I think people were expecting it, but it's kind of official.
Okay, just give me 10 seconds.
That's all right.
Miners by 10.
Now it moved.
Nineers by 10.
And Niners look pretty good.
The last go again.
Run the ball.
McCaffrey's there.
The defense is smothering.
It's too many points.
Nine or something.
No way.
It's colds.
Colt McCoy, man.
Cole McCoy.
Colt McCoy.
Cold McCoy.
Have you had buyer's remorse, do you suppose, more than the Denver Broncos with Russell Wilson?
So does Rhett not buying the GoferMobile count as buyer's remorse or is that not buyer's remorse?
Yeah, it's close.
It's a wrong way, though, I think.
I think.
I mean, how to purchase.
I mean, has there been a quicker, like Cinderella turned into a pumpkin for big money, big expectations, all of that?
I can't think of any examples of a big money guy coming in and not performing out of the gate.
Well, that's the only way I can think of.
It's just Russell.
To be fair, like, he's been bad.
He will be bad.
They're going to have to get out of that as soon as they can.
It gets three of the five years are guaranteed, something like that.
They're going to pay bad quarterbacks 25 or 30 million a year anyway.
So they're paying him 50.
It sucks.
But they're just not good.
Well, their defense is good enough.
Because what was, again, and I'm always stealing this stat because it's amazing.
Yeah.
If they'd scored 18 points, they're 5 and 1 or like 7 in 1 or something.
Yeah.
Because I think they did it again.
Yeah.
If the Broncos, if they scored 18 because they went to overtime yesterday.
Okay.
But if they had 18 points four, if they'd score 18 in regulation.
It's not a lot 18 to ask for them.
In every game this year, they'd be 9 and 1.
Holy.
18. That's how good that defense is. And they stink.
Russell Wilson, what was it, $240 million?
Yeah, it's a quarterbell. And the guys don't like him. He's a loser.
He is a loser. That's what we're finding us.
Apparently, he was calling out, what was it? He was calling out audibles at the line that were Seahawks audible.
So the guys have no idea what the hell he's...
What is it?
Ah, blue 717.
Oh, space needle. Space needle.
Sounder, sounder.
What the hell is he doing?
What is he talking about?
Emerald City 46.
God.
Loser.
We're in Denver.
And it's not a rough start.
Yeah, he'll turn it around.
No, it looked awful from the get-go.
And the new coach looks dumb, too, in terms of that clock management for a few weeks.
No.
Should check.
Where's the, do we have any breaking news?
I love that, I love that fancy rich league.
NFL stuff where they just spend money and it's like,
well,
maybe hire some idiot coach that doesn't know that the clock's running out at time.
It ends at zero?
What?
I know.
It's unbelievable.
Don't know the rules.
Just dumb.
The NFL is the great,
like it's this monster, right?
This juggernaut.
And you wonder,
do half of the coaches know what they're doing?
Are half of the quarterbacks any good?
Spending first round picks on quarterbacks that made,
play a year and then they're gone.
Just the
willy-nilly kind of spending
that happens in the NFL, it's amazing.
So here's sort of how crazy the money is for quarterbacks.
These are only backup quarterbacks to start the year.
Garoppolo's like seven plus million, Teddy Bridgewater,
six and a half, tie rod, five and a half.
These are all backups.
These guys are not supposed to touch the field.
Things go well.
Carapolod to restructure.
He's got like three a year.
Taylor is still playing football.
ball making millions.
Wow.
It's the best gig on earth
holding that clipboard.
You never want to get in
and get hit, just keep making money.
So the Chiefs last night,
I'll tell you what,
is, I guess Brady,
I was going to say,
has there been a quarterback
or when's the last quarterback,
that if you are down
seven or less
with a minute or so to go
that you would have had more confidence in
than Patrick Mahomes.
I yelled,
there's too much time at my TV
is the Chargers scored a touchdown
with less than two minutes left
and Kansas City held all three timeouts.
It's just like you almost need to go galaxy brain
and run into the pile a few times along the way
just to eat clock.
You can't leave them that much time.
It's a guaranteed touchdown as crazy as that sounds.
It was unbelievable
because you're sitting there in that moment watching it live.
You know what's going to happen.
This is great.
Here it comes.
And you're okay, here it comes.
Because they were down by four.
Need a touchdown.
Minute 46.
106 left.
75 yards.
Three of four, Kelsey, 17 yards, touchdown, ball game.
Yeah.
It's like first play, 18 yards, another play, pick up another 10,
and they're already at midfield and they've used eight seconds.
And you're like, I know it's fun scoring touchdowns,
but you almost have to go down at the one and let clock run,
make them burn their timeouts.
No, Juj.
No.
Hardman was out, right?
He didn't play yesterday.
They've traded, like, Hill's gone.
And it's the same script.
It's just Kelsey.
Travis Kelsey, three touchdown.
last night was his 33rd career game with 100 or more receiving yards
that passes Gronk for tops all time among tights.
And he's tied with who for the leads of touchdowns this year in the NFL?
I remember I saw that as well.
It's like, well, there's 11.
It threw 11 weeks.
Not bad.
That record in November, was he never lost?
They've never lost.
He's not lost to November.
It's unbelievable.
14 and 0 on the road in division.
that some teams are trotting out Davis Mills.
General Mills.
And these guys have the automatic,
you know he's going to win the game on this drive.
Just sit and watch, watch it happen.
Yeah, he's that good.
It must kill teams that watched him go past them
in the draft knowing that they could have taken him.
You talk about buyers remorse or non-buyers or mores.
Good God.
So better than Russell Wilson confirmed?
Better than Russell Wilson.
And what about the Vikings now?
They were dogs at home to a Dallas team that just lost in Green Bay.
And you're like, what is Vegas?
Oh, Vegas does no more than we know.
Stomped.
Frauds.
It wasn't even prime time.
If it was prime time, you're like, you know, Kirk Cousin.
Was he dancing with bling on yesterday?
No, topless diamonds on the, no, he's probably wearing a cardigan pouting.
All right, Retrol.
Let's get you in here.
Let's end the show on a high note.
Not sure what, I heard your boodily boop, boop there.
And then so we're, so we're a lot going on on on my phone.
A lot of people are interested in Thanksgiving's coming, you know.
Got to get prepared for Thanksgiving.
Yeah, that's good.
Hope Street property management.
Don't use your or wait, not even waste.
Don't invest your valuable time in chasing around clients or tenants.
Let Hope Street.
Dude, then you can be getting ready for Thanksgiving.
Do you think Rhett should be out getting ready for Thanksgiving and coaching his kids hockey or like filing forensic reports on potential rent?
No, come on now.
Rest easy, knowing your property is safe and protected.
Virtual meetings online.
Book them now.
Hope Street gets to work for you, locations in Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary, Hopestreet.
com.
So that, what is your, what is your availability this week?
Because we do ask bread on Thursday.
Yeah, well, Thursday, I would like not to be here.
I'm going to go to Nona's for Thanksgiving, which usually they eat around 1 o'clock,
which is smack dab in the middle of this.
How old is Nona now?
But I'm more than half, 90-something.
Wow.
90 or 94.
It's one or the other.
It's an even number.
So, yeah.
It wasn't really an answer.
It's kind of a.
other than that, I think I'm pretty set.
And so for Friday, there's some hockey tournaments, I guess.
Maybe I'm busy with that.
There's, uh,
lucky I got this.
Yeah.
I don't know.
I can use.
Mm-hmm.
The,
this is an annual tradition.
Why,
what are you worried about?
How many years in a row have you been in Buffalo for Thanksgiving or did the
pandemic mess it up?
Like, tell us what you're hitting here.
Last 10 years.
How many in Buffalo for American Thanksgiving?
Oh, it's been a couple.
But that was always the thing.
Right?
Because the Thanksgiving's so big down here.
You sacrifice.
You say, we'll go to Thanksgiving down.
In Buffalo and we can have Christmas with the other side.
Right?
That's how you work it out.
So you'll be coming back to Saskatchewan for Christmas?
Because the other problem with, no, I can't leave the country.
The other problem with Thursday and doing the show is that Wednesday is a big, big pisser.
So even if I do the show, I ain't no good.
Could you give us a walkthrough of the spread before?
That's all we'll need.
Just a five-minute walk-through, no one to show us the food.
Yeah, I can absolutely do that.
We'll do a...
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, it's...
It's pure madness.
So what time...
So you're eating it in...
It's just a full day.
So it's midday turkey?
Yes.
Everyone's hung over.
Yes.
And it's just all-day grazing football on TV all day.
Yeah.
I mean, I got no problem with that.
I'm just thinking, you've got to be on it.
You're getting that bird in, being prepared.
paired.
Back into the sauce.
You don't mess.
Hair of the dog.
Ham, turkey,
meatballs, the sauce.
You're with the ham.
It's deep.
It is deep.
And your bills are in action on the Thursday,
if I'm correct?
Is that right?
Back in Detroit.
Of course, that's right.
Three in a row lions.
We've got to look out now.
They're rolling.
And your guys got a touchdown in the second half.
for the first time in what a month?
That was good to see.
The second half has been a little troubling for baseball fans.
They did not look good to start that game yesterday.
It was like, holy, Jacoby Brissette's going to beat up on you.
Like, what are we doing here?
They came around.
Bill's Lions, Giants Cowboys, and there's another one.
There are three, yeah.
Stupid.
A couple header.
A little bit later on this week, because I want to say,
So, well, geez, that's not probably not.
These, you know what I'm finding?
These weeks are flying by?
Yes.
Is when there's stuff to do other than just doing this, although, Rhett, you wouldn't, you know,
never mind.
Pretend, like, we're not talking.
Meetings and running around and doing all this stuff, it's a lot.
Well, it's like, geez, there's Christmas right there.
There's a lot of things you have to get done before Christmas.
I know.
Like last week, we were going to be going up to the Bonton, seeing the guy taking the guys
that didn't happen last week.
I don't think it's going to happen this week.
Today we got two meetings.
Got a thing going later this way.
I don't think it's going to happen this week.
Patriots Vikings is the light game.
That's going to be good too.
But I want to go see the guys at Vena Nova.
24 hours in a day, Dean.
You've got lots of time.
Yeah, well, if I could just get out of bed, then get moving.
Well, when he's wide awake between three and five, there's nothing open.
That's the problem.
AM.
Like 2 and 4.45.
Oh, whatever.
Either way, it's tough to get stuff done.
No one looks at the ceiling like, boom.
He's one of the best.
Vena Nova.com
Calgary's lab-grown diamond specialists.
We brought these guys, we mentioned on Friday,
one of our new sponsors on board.
And we're going to be doing so Christmas, as you said,
is coming right around the corner.
And I guess if you want to tie it into losing track of time
and not knowing what the hell you're doing with your time,
Christmas will be here.
You'll be, what am I getting?
What am I doing?
Hear me now.
All right? Venanova.com, look into this,
these lab-grown diamonds,
It's the same thing.
The makeup, the composition, all of it is the same as normal diamonds except at a fraction of the price.
And this is Calgary's.
This is the only store in Calgary that specializes exclusively in lab-grown diamonds.
And we're talking, you're saving money.
But you're getting the real deal.
You're getting the goods like this.
And Rhett was saying he's just made the decision now.
It's just jewelry the rest of the way.
Can't screw it up.
Just jewelry.
Just win Christmas every year, anniversary every year, birthday every year, just rock jewelry.
So look at that.
I'm not going to pretend to know better.
I'm going with something that is a guaranteed win.
That's what we need.
That's what we need.
Guaranteed wins.
I feel like nobody wants to hear you talk about.
I feel like everybody should probably go down and see the folks.
They know more than we do.
It's safe to say.
But that's why, truly, that's why I was going to say, I want to go down and learn more about this because I don't know a lot about.
it, but Justin is in. He's got a couple of places, but this is kind of the, it's the big new thing.
And I had heard about it, but I didn't really understand, and I still don't. So I want to know more
about it. Downtown showroom, second level of Stephen Avenue place, v.ananova.com. Go and check it out.
I'm thinking this could be, like you say, a guaranteed win. Oh, yeah. You got a month to get your
crap together. And look at that. Have something like that under the tree for your significant other?
That's the way to do it.
win Christmas right there.
It's the way to do it.
Flyers, flames tonight.
You mentioned it.
Winless and six they have, this is Philly,
two wins in their last 11 games.
Their first game back after a three-game road trip
in which they...
Torch is just miserable right now, I bet.
They lost 5-4-4-1-5-4.
They started five and two.
Yeah, that's the worst part.
Expectation all of a sudden.
Two, five, and four cents.
They're very hurt.
Not very good at home.
As you mentioned, they're special teams.
near the bottom.
29th and 30 and 28th?
Yeah.
Go ahead and have a workman-like
Sutter-type effort, Flames.
If we have to come in tomorrow
and talk about a loss to this Flyers Club,
it's going to shave years off everyone's lives.
Listening to the show, doing this show,
producing this show,
please.
Momentum.
Do the thing.
Build upon it.
Do the Sutter thing.
Someone tip it.
O.T.
God.
I had red hair.
just fiery.
Where's Cody Eakin?
Yeah, you miss him.
How did Ekin make this team?
Christ.
We each on the second line.
That's going to do it for the show today.
Tomorrow we'll talk about the big game tonight in Philly.
Stay safe, Brett.
What's up for the rest of your day?
I'm going to take some kids to the rink and let him skate.
And then we've got a game tonight.
And then I'm going to watch the Flames game.
So a whole lot of hockey coming up.
She's busy.
your busy boy. All right.
I am going to retrieve
some items of note for this program
that will be
adorned by listeners
by Christmas. Very nice.
By Christmas. Well, it's good to know.
Good to know. We got meetings.
We got prep. We've got to get ready for the show tomorrow.
We do it all because of you guys. Get a nap in.
I had a good night's sleep last night, actually. That's good.
Yeah. I think I got a good.
Oh, well, I was up early.
I got one more day.
until, uh, oh, what?
He's back.
Yeah, your wife's away.
Solo parenting.
We just, I went with the full chaos philosophy,
invite like six to ten kids over.
Let them do the Lord of the Flies thing.
Weren't you saying that it's easier when she's away?
The meals are not, but...
Just life. Life in general is easy,
best.
I think that's what you said.
Is that what he said? Life is...
You said, can I say this on the show or not?
And I said, don't say it on the show.
Off-air conversation.
My life is way,
better when she's not here.
I wish she would stay
that stinking. No, that's
I didn't say that. We'll see you tomorrow.
If I'm not dead. See you tomorrow, buddies.
Oilers Nation coming up next.
Bye.
