I will say, based on what I've gleaned off of social media, this, a highly anticipated edition of Barnburner today for a number of different reasons. I'm going to say, there's a few different avenues you could go down on why today. It's such a sensational program. I hope we don't disappoint. There's a lot of expectation out there. Oh, we'll disappoint. I mean, it's...

But hopefully not more than you expect us to... We're good at it. It's a game day. Get your helmet on. It's a Monday. It's Boomer. It's Pinder. it's Rhett Warner. We are here in the Tower Chrysler Studios, the luxurious Tower Chrysler Studios

this morning. And the Rettster is in Buffalo in whatever, I don't know what you call it. East Hamhurst, is that what he says? I don't know that area. I've never been. Somewhere in the vicinity of the loss sustained by the Buffalo Bills at the hands of the Cincinnati Bengals yesterday. Now you missed Friday show. Rhett was in the process of security. getting tickets for himself and the shoveler. We need an update, Rhett. Tickets were great. Seats were wonderful.

We were, it was snowing. It was beautiful. The snow was coming down. We were just under the roof. We weren't getting soaked by the snow. We had a heater. Things were really lining up to be a lovely day. Lovely day.

And then they kicked off the ball. And after that, it was less lovely. Because I know we talked on Thursday, you were contemplating whether, Daring. Whether you were going to go to this game or save your dough and potentially go to the, go to Atlanta.

Or, you know, even just save your money for the Super Bowl. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, no Scottsdale, no Atlanta.

Sorry. Well, because Jacksonville, if they won, it could be a home game in Buffalo. Yeah. How does this one, how does this one rank compared to the last two?

Because none of them have been easy. And the, the photos have been floating around. They had, obviously, the Stefan Diggs standing watching the confetti fly against, what was it, the Chiefs? And then there was what happened to the chiefs last year. This one, not as close, it felt like.

Yeah, no. I think the disappointment came because they haven't been estomped for three years. Yeah, 14-0-0-0 really took the wind out of the sails, didn't it? And there was no threat ever. Like it never felt like they were going to put on a charge. It never felt like their defense was going to stop anyone. Like they never felt, it never felt close. It was, I mean, I guess you give the Bengals credit.

They were awesome. They were. And it wasn't like a, hey, there sure is a great debate about which quarterback's better now. It feels like Allen's kind of been passed here, which is tough because that's the superstar they've built this around. Right? And you got out played pretty handily. How are your emotions? There will be plenty of people.

Yeah. There will be plenty of people in the Buffalo area that they throw a lot of blame at the coaches. Yeah. And I heard some of that. What are your thoughts on that? Why would that be the case? Because they didn't look as good this year as they did last year and they had changes that coaching.

A lot of people don't like that Leslie Frazier. They think that Dorsey's done a poor job of it. Can't run. Can't control the clock. Can't make plays when you need. but then Alan's got to make the plays. Maybe it's not the call because if he's overthrowing guys, whose fault is it?

Play caller or the guy throwing the ball? So it wasn't good. I just kept coming back to it. Like, you're in Buffalo. You know what Buffalo's like. You got a great team. You know what the weather in January in Buffalo's like. And they can't run the ball when they want to.

That seems like a massive flaw in the big pitcher. If you can't run the ball in January and you play in Buffalo, what the hell are you doing? The Bengals could. Correct. They ran the ball. The Bengals, mixing was over 100.

I think it was 19 carries for 63 yards. You're going three a pop, basically, is what the bills did. I didn't stop them at anything. If you can't run the ball and you have to play in January and Buffalo, are you expecting to be able to air it out in January?

Like, it was snowy, it wasn't even that windy. Like those were not ideal, but those weren't bad kids. It could have been way worse. How do you build a team in Buffalo that can't run the ball?

You see a lot of those NHL games flexed into the afternoons on Sunday where they avoid it like the plague during NFL season because you can actually get people's eyeballs on them now in the States. Buffalo matinees, Philly matinees. Get down to the rink a little bit more. I want to watch them play the Anaheim Ducks.

Hoof. They're bad, eh? Five regulation wins. Real bad. Yeah. Get back into bowling, maybe your shoulders, though. Your shoulders is probably not good for the shoulders. I might get back into couch mode the way I feel today.

Yeah. You were saying in the pre-show, you're not feeling quite up to snuff. You're a quart low. Some of it you feel maybe self-induced. Some of it you feel maybe a flu or a cold coming on? Never know. Never know. certainly energy levels are very low.

Yeah, yeah. Very low. There's a depression, there's an energy level, there's a dehydration, you're hungover. There's nothing to look forward to. The bills are out. Who cares about the Super Bowl in the room? Where do you go in the pseudoscience world you live in for a pick-me-up on a day like today when you're a little low? You might be trying to ward off some sort of infection but also hungover.

I'm waiting for this big play on defense. They've got to turn the field here, like, do something. And it's just like any time there was like a half response,

since then he just came right back down and put points back up. I think Joe Burroughs pretty good. Like he's really good. I think he's better than Alan, perhaps. It's a good team. It's a good team. Pinders got this big conspiracy thing or something that people are upset about

Alan or Burrow. No, I... It's fine. He's good. I think what was made of the game is like, look at these two star quarterbacks. Like, what a showdown. And it just wasn't close. That's all.

It didn't feel the bills... you'll remember because obviously you were there. Like maybe at the start of the season, it was different. But it never felt like the bills were, as you say, as undeniable as they felt at times last year. And they had these hiccups mid-season. You're like, that's okay. This is a good time to deal with these.

Then you get them out of your system, figure it out, and then you'll be humming as you come into the playoffs. But even then it was third string Skyler Thompson that, like, you know, they needed. to make plays down the stretch to beat. They kind of, they were winning coming in, but they weren't impressive necessarily, right? They were barely getting by teams that missed the playoffs.

I think people really were hoping that you would be more bombastic today, that you would be up in arms, that you would. Well, how can you be bombastic? How can you get the ball to Stefan Diggs only four times? What are you doing? Doss and Knox leads you in receiving. We can't get the ground game to go. Their offensive line is in tatters.

we can't get to burrow. I just thought there'd be more vitriol. Oh, I'm sick, and they got S pumped. So it's over. It's true. I think that's the mature position. I don't think you're throwing my computer probably won't change it.

It was that kind of day. I think it's safe to say that kind of day. Meanwhile, here in Calgary, buddy, coming off a big win over the Tampa Bay Lightning, the 32nd ranked Columbus Blue Jackets are in town tonight. It's the return of Johnny Goddrow. his former stomping grounds. Jonathan Isaki.

How could you be the 32nd rank team when Anaheim only has five regulation wins? Well, and Chicago is actively trying to be bad and loose. It has been missing Patty Kane. 14.30 and 2 is their record. On the road, they have won three of 19 games. Oh. Only Anaheim and Chicago have scored fewer goals. They're a minus 61.

Only Vancouver, San Jose and Anaheim have allowed more goals. And yeah, that's how it's going for the Columbus Blue Jackets. I don't know that this would be a good team if they were healthy, but they sure are healthy and they sure are a bad team. They sure are bad. I didn't think they would be this bad. I didn't either. Zach Werenski, now I was going to ask you, Rhett, a torn labrum.

What is a labrum? Have you ever, what have you done? With your labrum in your leg. Is it? Have you torn it? It's your shoulder. You tore it? I've not.

Yeah. Chittacoff, ankle. Conditioning extent right now. So he's not technically hurt, but he's making his way back. And then also they have Alex Texier in the player assistance program, I believe,

for whatever off-ice issues are ailing him. And he's a good young player from France that they've really liked. And just everyone's slotted wrong when he gone. And the goaltending, everyone kind of thought, well, if you could get one of those guys out of Columbus

and get them into your team, they'd be pretty good. They're still in Columbus and they're not as good as they're. Merz Lickens has had a horrible start. And then Corporell was looking okay. Now he's hurt.

They're using Daniel Tarasov a bunch, the big Russian kid that they like, but it's very early in his career. It's not been good. But you know who's doing his part? Johnny Goodrow. Eric Cabrattie. Johnny Goodrell.

Guddy? No. Guddy is being played as a top four defenseman. I'll let you guess how that's going, because he was awesome as a third pair guy last year, and he's getting paid as a second pair guy this year, and is such playing as a second pair. And such the team is 32nd.

Yeah. Why do you have to take a run at Good Bruns? It's not a run. It was a compliment that he was in a perfect role last year. But you knew when he took the money, he was going to be elevated there, right? Would you have taken the money? I think I would have taken the money.

Brett, would you have taken the money? I would definitely take the money. Comey literally took the money and went to Columbus. He absolutely did. He talked about it. Like, I'm not mad at Good Branson. It's just when you make that signing, I think the moment we saw it were like,

well, they're not paying to be a third pair, and that might not go as well, because in his entire career, when he was slotted top four, didn't go well. Goodrow has 13 goals tied with line A for the team. He has 44 points. 44, just a smidge better than Jack Roslovick's 26, who sits second in team scoring.

It's more than the smidge, yeah. He's almost a point per game, that means, just a shade under. 44 and 46. So three points tonight, and then sure it does. Is that what it'll be? I hope not. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I've said it before, I'll say it again.

This is, it's, this is whole thing. This whole thing is unfortunate. It really is. He should be here. Should be here. They wanted him here. He liked it. It should be here, right?

The whole thing. He was ready to sign here at some point, but just not necessarily even free agent's Eve. It's almost, it's kind of like, I feel like it's a country song. You could write a country song about this, right? They got together when they were very young.

And then there was some thoughts, are these guys really going to make it? Are they going to, how are they're going to make this thing work? And then it worked and they were in love and it was successful. And boy, wouldn't you love to have something like what Calgary's got with Godro? Look, they're going to put his number right up there right next to Lanny and Vernon and Jerome. Right? That's where they put it.

We'll be celebrating those anniversaries, the big, yeah. And then what happened? Yeah. You know? You wanted to make less money elsewhere. Like things are good. We're doing good together. But maybe sometimes you wonder who else is out there.

What else is there? You got to test the market. I'm a free, you know, I just, I just, it's not you, it's me. It's not you, it's me. Did he take, granted, what he had here? And you realize, maybe, maybe I had it pretty good. Yeah. But by the time you wanted to come back home, somebody else was in your bed.

That's the part of the analysis. You get the early flight from San Diego. go that one. There's a Huberto in his bed. I think. Hubertos making his money. He'd made up his mind where he was going before Huberto was in the equation.

What I'm saying is he made his decision, but even if you wanted to come back, fucking Hubertos in his bed. Farting in it right now. Well, we could help him get him out of it if we wanted to switch. I don't know if anyone wants to switch. I don't know.

Johnny signed for seven years there. this is not good right now. That does not mean the blue jacket's going to be bad for seven years. You wouldn't switch, you wouldn't take Johnny back over Huberto right now? No, no, I didn't say that. I'm just saying when Johnny signed there,

it wasn't like we're winning a cup year one. Like I think he thought they'd be a lot better, but this is a young team that typically drafts and develops while they're missing. I think they'll be competitive at some point here in the seven years. They'll have some runs. It's just god awful this year. But do you feel like Goddrow is sitting there thinking,

you know, next year we're at the playoffs. I don't know. I think it would be tough in the East, but I think you could look at the young kids they have in the talent. They have and say, we're going to be a playoff team in the near future. I think there's,

they're 32nd, right? You saw the standard. Yeah, no, I know. And we listed six regulars out. If they get a thing too. But I mean, for a check is post apex. Correct.

Yes. Thank you, John Weisbrud. I just, I think there's some steps. I don't think you go from 30 second to playoffs. I think there's, well, now we're not as bad as we were. and now we'll maybe flirt with a wild card and then maybe you get a wild card. I mean, it's not like they were 30 second last year.

There's been a lot of misfortune that's found them this year. I think if they were even just had the same amount of health as they had last year, they're much higher in the standings. But yeah, the east is tough right now. I don't see them as a shoe in at any point, except that they're just young and skilled and other teams are old and skilled. Is there... Be too old soon.

Is there a track record of playoff success for the Blue Jackets? No. I just feel like that whole thing is maybe it's that kind of when you wake up, like Warner the next Morris. Jesus Christ, what have I done? Yeah, and maybe that wasn't a big factor in decision making. I don't know that you end up in Columbus if winning was the top thing on your checklist. To go back to my country music thing, maybe, you know, you break up and you go out there.

When we were watching, the late stages of tangay and even Iggy. And it was just disinterest and it was boring. You think, man, there's some people, they go to watch Crosby every night or the skill that was in the league. There are other teams that have high-end young skill. And then this guy comes in and for the first one, two, three, I mean, bring you out of your seat excitement type stuff.

Stand on your feet and roar over what he could do with the puck. And careful when that's... gone because everything changes. The look, the feel, everything changes, and it clearly has, which is not to say if you're a flames fan, you're not, suddenly you're not because Johnny Goddrow isn't there. Yeah, they're just missing a superstar bringing out of your seat talent. And that's, that's what he was for almost the entirety of his whole career. The only time there was a little bit of question was when he was next to a broken Sean Monaghan and Brett Ritchie on the same line. Everywhere else he's produced. He's, he's an electric,

offensive player. They look different, teams play them different. The power play has struggled. mightily without him. What are they now? 23rd. They're up one. 24th when we checked in last week. 20% is where their power play is. Columbus is a power play is 32nd.

That's also dead last in the national home. There's no one below 30 second. He went to Columbus. Like that's the, you end up in Philly. You end up somewhere else. It's like, well, yeah, Kuch. He's in Florida.

He's making the big dough. Pretty good, pretty good. Yeah, pretty good. Yeah, and they're out of the playoffs, but maybe they'll figure that out. Johnny. They're going to be good. Less money.

But it's truly, it really is a WTF kind of a scenario at the end of the day. Because the flames had the money. You can have the whole. They should have signed them a year ago. All of that. Okay. But even at the 11th hour. Johnny could have should.

You're already fifth in all time scoring with the team. Be one of the greatest ever play here. Own it. And now he's kind of stuck in that mucky middle of franchise greats with all the other guys that left in their prime like Newindike and Roberts and McKinnis and Souter and it's Gilmore. And it's not,

and you know what, it's not, I'm not taking a dump on Columbus. I guess what I'm saying is there was no tie for him to Columbus. There was no, A, they're not first, they're not close to winning a cup, they don't see, they're not a top team. It's not a sexy market. It's not where he's from, right? The whole, I want to be closer to home.

You're kind of closer to home, I guess, but shitty. Yeah. And Columbus is a great, great place. You talk to guys, yeah, it's not as bad as everybody tells you. The rink's good, the fans are good and all of that. Do you like football OSU's right there, I believe? Anyway. Or other things are on football.

Is there anything? Do you feel the same way or? I do. I think it seems silly. Well, yeah, it's silly that we couldn't hang on to him. But I think we all wish that he just stayed.

I think it changes everything. Who knows? Maybe Chuck stays too then, right? Certainly closer to staying. I think it was a 100%. There's no way. They played last year. Matthew Kachuk has a career year next to Johnny Goodrow,

finally on the same line, and doesn't at least consider a little more staying than versus Johnny gone. Well, okay, they were brilliant together. It was instant. It was the top line in the NHL by a mile. He immediately said, I'm leaving. Kachuk. I think there was very much a decision to be made until Johnny left,

and then it was like, well, this thing's curtains. There's no way you stay in now. And on top of all of that, you got Elias Lindholbe sitting there with a picture of him and Johnny and Matthew tears all over it. And how much time left for Lentholm? Next year is his last year. Is that right?

Don't want to think about that, do we? Maybe I'm restricted. Oh yeah. It's either one or two more years. Might be a couple, but either way, he has not looked. He's been fine, but it's like, God, he looks like a guy these wingers aren't as good as last year,

and that's what he is. I mean, no one ever said this guy was a 40 goal, flirt with 100 points, top line center in the league. They always thought he's a very responsible 200-footer that can shoot the puck. And when he had two of the best wingers in the league, it was unbelievable. Now, he doesn't have two of the best wingers in the league. He's got Tofoli, a very nice finisher, top six guy, and Dubei who's trying to establish he is a top six guy. That is a significant drop. Just like when Johnny, when Linae was hurt, is playing with Gustav Nyquist and Boone Jenner. That's why he's not on pace for 115 points this year. It's not as good as Kachlan home, right?

He's still at a point per game pace. Close, yeah. Right. So is Linholm, though, to be fair. True, yeah, just under. Just a hair under. It's just that last year, they were so far beyond that.

It was career years. And Matthew's the only guy that's really had Monster Year without the old band. So 730 tonight, over at the dome. Congrats to Larry Tramere. Larry.

If this was a very tough opponent, I was more curious to see who would start because Darrell would want to use the guy he is the most confidence in. This almost feels like a backup night anyway,

so I don't know how to read it. Yeah. It's a 30 second place team, but it's also a big return night, but also Dan's playing well, I don't really have strong feels. I'm a little shocked. I just said it's back-to-back starts, I guess, is all.

And you're right. If it's a different opponent, it's probably worth getting into a little bit deeper. But I was surprised. I just figured getting Markstrom ready for the string of games. There's three games left before. He said a lot of things that really haven't been truthful when we look back at the old tape from the rancher here.

And I think, you know, part of his thing is that he wants to message a certain way with the media. But also like he's just, he's been wrong and lied. Not that I think he's meaning to her. Like, ooh, we got you. But it's just like, you're exaggerating. three games left two this week, right? And ones, the two are back to back.

So you would think if Lutter is maybe going to play one of those. Yeah, they do Chicago, Thursday, Seattle, Friday, All-Star Break. Fletar just play. I'm fine with it. He's going to get two in the next three, yeah. He's going to finish with three of the last four probably, right? That would make sense. 8-0-3 in his last 11 is Dan Flodar.

Let's go down. I was surprised to see him on Saturday, to be honest with you. Well, if you were surprised to see him, And we talked about an afternoon. Like, it feels like a low, or no, it's a Friday show. It feels like a low watermark for the flames was after that loss coming home to Colorado. And that's human nature because we all like heard RET say they were going to be fucking awful. And they were.

And they, you know, it wasn't like they didn't try. They just, it was the end of a road trip. And Colorado looked really good. I feel like that was a low watermark for like, oh my God, they're actually out of the playoffs now. And like what the hell's going on here? And they're not even playing this Pell Chay kid. And they keep running out their goalie who's not as in good a form as the other goalie. and Daryl in his comments both made it sound like there was no way Peltier would play in the near future

and that Markstrom was going to go on a run and he just literally doubled back on what he said that week and put both of them in on Saturday and we kind of thought like it would be very Daryl-esque if he did do that did you watch much of the game from Saturday retro I know your it's time change and is I didn't watch it on I didn't watch it on Saturday I watched it yesterday morning thoughts on the game and I know are pelche and the Pinder report when do we want to tackle that I guess just thoughts on what we've I think afternoon game a little apprehensive Tampa kind of looked like that tired team at the end of a road trip that we saw with the flames not that long ago but still a huge two points as you say given the timing and certainly against the

I like, you know what I liked? And I think it's been missing a little bit of piss and vinegar. I like a fight. I like some physical stuff. I thought that was good because it dragged them into it and woke them up a little bit.

Yeah, there was this hunch we had on Friday. They might come out with a really good effort on Saturday, given everything they'd gone through. They also get maybe a little boost from a rookie playing his first game. I think the team likes Vlodar when you hear them do the starting lineup, not that they don't like Markserman, but they know this guy's playing well right now. It's not surprising them that he hasn't lost in regulation his last 11. And you knew that you have to bring your best to beat Tampa.

It wasn't like, hey, we'll just go through the motions to get two points. We're in Chicago on a Tuesday. We're good. No, you knew you had to work your tails out. That was one of their better efforts of the season. We'll move past it because I know we're going to spend some time talking about Pell Chase. So we may as well do it inside the Pinder report because there was the post game. You know, how did he get into the lineup in the first place?

And I mean, think about how excited Darrell must have been because it was Walker Dewar's like third game or second game. And he was like, oh, how excited the family was there, did it the right way, four years of college.

Well, this guy is like a year younger than Dewar. Think about how fired up Darrow would have been. Let's have a listen. What did you think of Peltier's debut? What was that? What did you think of Jacob's first few shifts in the NHL? Jacob Pellier. What number is he?

49. 49. Six minutes, 35 seconds, 13 shifts, average 30 seconds a shift. Got 43 seconds in the park played, played five minutes, 52 seconds, had one shot, goal, and one hit. Beyond the stats. What about the thing you learn just from being on the bench and seeing what the veterans on the team are doing? It's the NHL, 21 years old. Got long ways to go.

Well, that wasn't the Walker doer welcome to the NHL, even though Walker played in the league a couple of years ago. Rhett, huh, what, what's your initial thought? Initially, I think it's completely uncalled for. It seems a little over the top, I don't know. But then on the other hand, it's like, well, clearly he had a plan for this question and knew it was coming. Yeah, that's certainly not to be mistaken.

Because there's two things. He reaches for the glasses before the question's almost done. Like, he knows what he's doing here. Because as you can imagine, retro, it was, it took, it caught some heat on social media. It's been talked about for days now, as we're hitting into Monday here. Is it a shot at the media? I think partly, right?

Because he knows he's going to get asked about Peltier. And he kept getting asked why Peltier wasn't playing. But I'm with you. You can, I don't know, I don't know. It felt like a bit of a dick move. For the guy's first NHL game, you probably could have. but it's Darrell, it's not his way. And at the same time,

but you know what? Come on. That was in his first game and he was gushing. The thing people don't realize about Daryl, you get him away from the rink and you get him around his family. I mean, this guy, it's not like he's, if you know the story of Daryl, what he's done for his kids and done for Chris and all of that,

there's a heart there. There's compassion and all of that. He's a father. He's a grandfather. I just don't know why you can't allow this kid just to have, I'm happy good for him. A long way to go. Yeah, you don't have to say hardly anything.

You didn't have to. Right. Like, you don't have to risk that he's going to get a big head and all of a sudden be too big for, like, I just. I also wonder, like, what are the odds, Rhett, that he said something quite complimentary directly to Jacob and was encouraging to Jacob and then went to the media and said this. That's just it. I don't, I don't like it because I don't think it was necessary. and could have been dealt with differently,

but I would expect there's more to the story than what the three of us or most of the public have seen. You hope that's the case, obviously, right? Yeah, and so French Canadian hockey players notice this, and maybe it's a coincidence that they're French, Canadian, or maybe it's not. I don't know, but there's George LaRocque.

That's such lack of respect, man. Come on. That's a gorgeous George there. Next one, Maxim LaPierre, former Canuck. Wow. Does he know that he also had a hundred point player last year in Huberto? How do you make a young guy feel welcome in the NHL?

Time to go back to Jurassic Park. So a reference to said her being a dynist or very old fashioned. The problem with, you know, there's more to the story for sure. If Daryl doesn't show us that, he's just opening himself up for criticism by many numerous NHL reporters of, you know, significance, insiders, people that comment on the sport. Like he's taking Ls everywhere that doesn't have to. I don't know that he cares, but it's just, it's a really bad look that doesn't have to. have to be one. Could have just said,

congrats on the kid. He's overcome a lot. And you might be right. He might not care, but it just starts to become a pattern. And it seems like it's what? It almost, it starts to feel like it's personal. And again, you don't know what happened behind the scenes, how it's being handled, but it just, it's the same. Remember

when Hubertoe, he had the comments about when Huberto left the game. I had taken a shit. Yeah. He just really, it comes back to the original thing about what does he want in a team? He does not want young players. And I thought about, I don't know why.

It didn't, you think of it at the time, but it's clear when Daryl made that we're not 10 up, we're not 10 out when he was asked about maybe shaking up the roster. You know, tongue in cheek, Peltje. He's been with the team for a couple weeks to get a game off. We're not 10 up and we're not 10 out, meaning we don't have a huge cushion and we're not so far out of it. It tells you that that's in his mind, the scenario his team would have to be in for him to contemplate putting young guys into the lineup.

Except two days later she did. Then and only then. If we were 10 up, then sure, I can give him a game. Or I could, it's not based on merit or could your team use it right now. He just, I don't know. The guy's a Hall of Fame coach. For me and for us to sit here and question him is, I mean, it's stupid. But I just, and I didn't think he did Daryl a disservice.

He was flying around. He had a shot on goal that could have gone in on one of the best goalies in the game on this first shift. Cool. I don't know. I just... That would have been very cool, actually. Yeah.

I just feel like things have changed. You don't need to keep everybody down. It's like the boss who's at work, who won't hand out a compliment because they're going to come into my office looking for a raise. No, sometimes it's just... It's about the mood in the workplace. It's the feel for the workers for the boss kind of a thing.

Then you... he's been around the media long enough to know that he's going to be in shit. And whether you care or not, why bother? Why cause a... There's times where a coach at a playoff, so try to take the... Take the heat. The attention off of his team?

This is not a situation where that's necessary, right? Like, he's not taking... He's creating a stir for no reason. Yeah, he's kicked the horn as necessary. It's easier for him to downplay it. Whether you care or not, that's why I'm confused by it. It's like, well, you're kind of... of putting it you're painting a target on your own back for no reason and like you say that was a

set bit oh he had that he had in his mind what he was going to do when the media asked him about pelche and his and his instinct was to not say anything complimentary yeah and i think it was lots to do with sending a message to pelchie so much as this this felt like unfinished business with these people that keep asking about jacobelch all the time oh yeah it was a good game for the cavalry flams on the they win sorry go ahead right I was going to say, I'd like read Trevor Lewis's stats at the end of some games. If that's... Yeah, you said it on Friday.

If the vets are so damn good, why are they in the standings? He was asked about Lewis about a week prior. He was talking about how he's a champion. He plays with Good for the Kids and all of this. That's not new. That was my point on Friday. It's like, this veteran BS is not working. Anyway.

But there's your points percentage of the flames. I don't know you're going to catch Colorado or Edmonton. They're both seemingly catching stride or hitting their stride. It feels like L.A. is the team with the targets on its back. They sit third in the Pacific. So it's nice you got two points against Tampa. You best be getting four against Columbus and Chicago to wrap the homestand because Seattle's waiting on a back-to-back.

That's not good to look at. No. And if you go ahead and say they have a good homestand, it's like, okay, well, they have two games in hand in L.A., four points. They're one back on even turn. But there's some work to do here. You can't be showing up expecting points. That hasn't gone well for this group this.
