You're not really factoring in like, oh, I'm going to spend 60 million on players, not 80. You're like, oh, shit, that's right. Like they have a ton of fucking cab space. They're going to trade away some guys this year. Yeah, no, yeah. There might be $25 million by the end of the year. They're saving. No, because I want you to use some of that cap space for.

I'd like them to do too, but it's weird when this team's asked to retain money, isn't it? Remember the Markstrom deal that didn't work? But they've done some. How much and where? They kept on Markstrom, right? A couple million, yeah. Yeah. They did not keep on Zedorov, right?

75 is interesting. So that's six points less than they had last year. That's less than a point a month. It's not a lot. It's nothing. And that's why I bring up October. last year because if they have four wins in October, that wipes out like three

months that they have to catch up on one point a month. But let me spin the point you're making that they had those guys and were still poor. Now that they don't have those guys, what if that's the norm? It wasn't though. I know it wasn't, but what I'm saying is now if you take Lindholm and Zedorov and

you take all them away for an entire year. Yeah, yeah. What if that's what you're left with while they were poor and the replacements aren't better than them at their ports. Okay. So then saying that and hearing you, what are they more likely to do? Be close to 81 and what they were or 70? Sixty-eight. I think they're closer to 70 than they are 80. I take that. I said 75 because it's an easy number.

No, I get up my head. We got to remember too. There's there's a long runway post-deadline after you trade Linholm. Like they weren't as good without those guys. It was mid-February they were within a point of the playoffs. They finished nowhere near a point within the playoffs. exactly. And so when you're saying, oh, 81 points, but they deleted all these. They said, yeah, they played a third of the year with a lot of those guys. That's, that's why 81 isn't that crazy a number. Because they were a worse roster post deadline than they are today. And they're, so what about the stretches of good play when they had those guys? They got within a point of the playoffs. They still don't have them. They were on like a 95 point pace. They're there for that.

That's not where they finished. But now they're playing 81 or 82 without those guys. Yeah. And so I guess what I'm saying is this team that, starting today isn't as good as the full group last year, but it's better than the group they went the last month and a half with because ball's better than Hanley every night. And because you've added, you know, some young players into a group that had some dusters like Dryden Hunt playing

minutes last year. Like they're better than the group that went down the stretch. They aren't as good as a team that has Lindholm and Tanev and Hanofin and Zadoro. And Marksham, I agree with that. The group that had that was a point without the playoffs. That's like a 95 point pace. They finished it at 81. I think this is going to be one of those teams that there's,

you're going to start. These guys are better than we thought. And then it'll be some stretch of bad play. Like, oh, they are really not that great. And then somebody else is going a hot streak. Sharon Govich will start scoring goals again or Kuzmiko, whatever it is. And we talk about all the time. Young guys don't know if they're too dumb.

We don't care if we're not picked by anybody to win. We're in New York. Can you believe this? We're in California. We're in the NHL. The food on this charter flight is unbelievable. Their love and life, they got nothing to lose. There's something dangerous about young invigorated guys with nothing to lose.

They shouldn't have got better when they brought up Zeri Pospasol and traded away Zadora. They did. I will still take the under. I'm taking the under. We're selling a lot of. No, and again, I think people's context on this is wrong. People think 81 points is good. 81 points is probably fifth or sixth from the bottom.

I don't think it's good. I'm just saying I think that it's a significant downgrade in talent from a year ago. And to have the same point total as a projection, I'm taking the under. So on the projections I mentioned Dom and J. Fresh did there is at around 80. The only teams worse than them would be San Jose, Chicago, Anahom, Columbus, and maybe one other team.
