Starting point is 00:00:13 Oh, here we are, two shot. Two shot barn burner on a Friday, no pinder. Remember what too legit came out? Which came first, that one? Or, uh, or, uh, or the, uh, I was drawn to blank. I know, his first one is there's, please Hammer don't hurt him is the album, too legit to quit. Can't touch this.
Starting point is 00:00:33 Can't touch this. That came out first. Yeah. That was the first. Too legit. Too legit to quit. And he had the big hammer pants. MC Hammer.
Starting point is 00:00:42 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. back out of boy see you are cool after all yeah you're with the cool kids uh friday program of barn burner a presentation of bet three six five game props player props totals money line whatever your bed is it's never ordinary at bet three six five that some beauties suspenders away i took over i wonder how they did last night with that uh football game we'll talk about it cool um let's get this and a little super chat if you're watching live you get into the comments
Starting point is 00:01:10 put down some money we take that as a donation and get it to the youth centers of calgary yeah no pender today off to uh montana he's golfing is he there yeah he left yesterday i don't know well i told him not to yeah straight up told him not to well it's not even hinted just because he feels like he's contributing and it's it's it's dead air yeah so what's what's what's it's a third hall i think the last time he was driving in a car and it's like what do you greens are a little fast today, guys. You know, Montana, it's in the United States of America, which is the country to the immunity.
Starting point is 00:01:50 Do you have anything redeeming or you're just, okay, great, thanks. Should we just shit talk pender all day? It's going to be hard not to. It's going to be hard not to. Look at that beautiful empty chair there. So nice. Anyway, we'll get into the program today. We've got a few things to talk about all things can say.
Starting point is 00:02:09 That's the other thing is he does so much talking. Yeah, we're going to be. be tired out. Yeah, going to be exhausted. There's days where I like it. You just kind of go ahead. Yeah. But then some days. He had a couple takes this week. He is, he's interesting to figure out, Jack. Yes, he is. There's, there's a certain, you absolutely know what you're going to get, but then sometimes there's that unpredictability where it's like, I, what are you, well, do you take this? Just to let people in. Somebody's told him something behind, Yeah. Without us. And so he's,
Starting point is 00:02:45 that's his reasoning usually. He's that he's talked to someone in secret. Yeah. So now that's his opinion. So this is his new. Yeah. It's usually how that goes. Well,
Starting point is 00:02:57 anyway, there was football you didn't watch. No, I was out with old Devin Hanson last night, so I was not watching. Is that right? There's some stories there. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:03:09 I bet there are. Some stories. I bet there are. Yeah, there would be a few for sure. It was a tough watch, unless you were a big Packers fan, I guess. I got some of the feedback on the group chat, the fantasy football group chat. There was some gushing, some emojis that were not. So I didn't think I was missing out on much.
Starting point is 00:03:32 It was a great night if you had Tucker Kraft or Josh Jacobs in your fantasy. Not so much if you had anyone on the other side. Austin Echler's career is likely done. as he had his Achilles go It's a tough way to go out, eh? It is. You're all covered in grass, sweat, and they put you in the back of one of those gaiters,
Starting point is 00:03:53 those trucks and they chuck you out of there. Non-contact, too. Just running around out in the flat. Yeah. I don't know. I'm an idiot. But there's a lot of medical and training and research and millions and billions and billions
Starting point is 00:04:10 in the NFL. Billions and billions. Billions. Billions. How are these? Is it just part of the business? I think that's just part of aging. Are you cramping up?
Starting point is 00:04:21 Are you not hydrated? Are we no stretching? Yeah. The body can only take so much. And all bodies, I think, are probably built a little different. You would think that those guys would, again, maybe it just happens. It is what it is. But you would think that those guys would have access to any and everything.
Starting point is 00:04:43 Well, I think probably now as he gets it repaired, he's got access to all that. But to get in front of it. And it's one, like you say, non-contact, when it happens, everyone watching, everyone in the building, they all is like, yeah, that's what that is. That's not going to be great for you, sir. That'll take a while. So anyway, yeah, it was a very lopsided affair. It was kind of the first, and I shouldn't say first, but we talked about opening night cowboys and eagles. And then the next night you had the chargers.
Starting point is 00:05:16 We've had some exciting. Some great games. Primetime games. Sunday night. That was the first kind of stinker. Now you said yesterday I kind of came out. I didn't really come at you, but you said,
Starting point is 00:05:25 you know, I think the Packers, they're a Super Bowl contender. This is a Super Bowl team. You probably feel pretty good about that. Are you vindicated? I do feel a little vindicated today. They put on quite the performance.
Starting point is 00:05:36 And they're dealing with injuries as well. Like they've got a couple, like Jaden Reed caught a touchdown and got hurt. And then I got called back. He was out for the game. Who's their other wide receiver that hasn't even played this year? Christian Watson is out. So like these guys are making plays on the offense and then their defense looks really,
Starting point is 00:05:53 really good. So I do feel a little vindicated today. The defense looks impressive. You know what they do? They swarm. They do. Poor, poor Echler and old Bill and even Jaden.
Starting point is 00:06:05 Not a lot of time to figure out, okay, what am I going to, not in the flat here. A little check down to Echler and there's four guys. on him instantly where are you headed so that's uh so that's that's that talked about the football game now football game's over yeah how was the coverage who was doing it was al michael's and uh kirk uh what's his name there her her brook herb street herb street i like herb street seems just by you can tell some people by
Starting point is 00:06:39 by the sound of their voice and just how they speak nice guys like tarrico I listen to him to play by, I think he's a nice guy. You can just kind of tell. What are what people think about this show when they hear us? I'm not nice. You're just out there. I don't care what I sound like.
Starting point is 00:06:56 Just know that I'm. I'm nice, but then I just get uncaring. Yeah. Your give a shit meter starts to just turns right off immediately. It was there last night for Al. Al's, Al's 80.
Starting point is 00:07:09 I was telling my cat last night. Al Michaels is 80. Al Michaels is 80 years old. He's traveling around. doing all these games, 80, and it's still, for me, I think he's still very good. And people, oh, boy, it kind of bore out. It was not exactly a scintillating affair last night. You're going to start talking about some other things.
Starting point is 00:07:29 You're going to mix in some color. And, yeah, and because the game is boring, you might notice that Al's maybe not. Yes. Well, he, if you're not super into it, why should he be? How do you expect him to be? He's there. Yeah, and he's having to talk the whole time. You're just sitting there like a lump and watching it.
Starting point is 00:07:48 Yeah, I like the, I like that broadcast. It looks all right. I like Herbie. Herbie likes dogs. Remember last year he had the golden retriever? This dog thing. Is it a thing? Really.
Starting point is 00:08:03 It's not, it's, he's not rolling over on. No, eh? For those just to, if you didn't see yesterday's show, there was a, I'll just get cut to the chase. Rep made a bit of a deal with his youngest. son that if he was to you know achieve if you make that you dig in you make that team we'll get your dog the kid loves dogs kid had a dog didn't then the dog went away that's not really worth getting into those details uh but really really wants a dog so uh the kid with that motivation went out and made the team and now is how often is it coming up morning noon and night yeah yeah yeah
Starting point is 00:08:39 yeah so when he wakes up can we go get it today and then when he gets home from school did you go look And when he goes to bed, can we do this tomorrow, dad? Kids are the greatest. Kids are the greatest. Oh, I don't like this. Well, so what if we would do it tomorrow? It's like that's their, that's their frame. It's, yeah, we'll definitely go and get a life-changing animal tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:09:05 Yeah, let's get. Let's lock in. So how are you getting out of this? Oh, Jack, it's just going to be dicey. Because you really don't want to. That you could get the croaks real fast and you can get rid of. I feel like that's not. We did the fish. We did the fish while we were in Buffalo.
Starting point is 00:09:22 And that's, doesn't want a fish. I don't think the fish is. No. What about a, what a groundhog? What about a. A sugar glider?
Starting point is 00:09:36 You see those things? No. Oh, Jack. If he could. I don't think he's going to want it. It's like a flying squirrel. Yeah. It's a sugar glider.
Starting point is 00:09:46 Lider. Dogs are the best. Dogs are the best, but you have to be committed to your lifestyle and, you know what? Maybe COVID will rear its ugly head and I don't think that's the answer either. I think is you just kind of. I love dogs. That's not the, I like dogs. That is not what I've been led to believe over the last five years. I like dogs.
Starting point is 00:10:10 I don't like commitment. You don't like commitment. That's the thing. If I could share a dog? I think there's a way around it. Now, if you had something come up, people can dog sit for you. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:23 They'll watch the dog for you. It's weird. Some of the people that are supposed to be my friends would refuse the dog sit for me, but there's other people that are less. Yeah, they're willing to. And they're, so does that make them a better friend?
Starting point is 00:10:37 Have I got it mixed up? I think it's maybe less to do with friendship and just whether they like dogs. because he'll be like, I hate that guy, but his dogs, awesome. So yeah, we'll look after the dog. Jackie Bear, the biggest fly in the ointment is one of the kids is an allergy. The dog. What the, what you can do?
Starting point is 00:10:53 You give, just give him. Get rid of him? The anti-history. Just get, just go on the, whatever it is. You can't live on drugs, you idiot. Sure you can. No. Look where it got me.
Starting point is 00:11:06 I'm great. Yeah, I just, you can't do it. Anyone got a dog out there? What kind of dog? Now the shoveler, the woman you live with, what's her, is she concerned about shedding or activity? Prefer not to have shedding. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:27 Yeah. Like, and I'm kind of like Pinder where on one hand, those little, what do they call them? You can't have one of those. That's exactly. I'm like, well, if I'm going to have a dog, I want a dog. You got to have a dog. I don't want a dog. 50 pounder.
Starting point is 00:11:43 No disrespect to people who like. No, you do your own thing. But you are a dog guy. You need a dog. And so then I go to, I want a dog that's real smart. And I can, I wouldn't train it. I would do the whole teammate, pay someone a whole bunch of money to train it. And then have it run away.
Starting point is 00:12:06 But I would like a dog that's disciplined because I hate dogs that are yappy and annoying. Yeah. I think you as cute as puppies are. Puppies are hard. We've talked about this. You find a dog that's a year old. Near death on the side of the road? No.
Starting point is 00:12:25 Oh. No. Just there's, I think there's many circumstances where. Send me your best months. People have had. I was going to say, Bix.
Starting point is 00:12:35 And then someone might say, spot. Yeah, I know. Yeah. Not like that. What's the percentage? Seven.
Starting point is 00:12:42 seven to 12 that's not very high at all it's a tough sell on who what about a snake do we like snakes like can i put in a cage but here you know what you you would love you get him in the backseat of the truck i would you're wheeling around yeah take him i'll throw the ball for him hey i've got time to spend with said yeah you do if i if i went and grabbed one it's i don't i guess maybe we just didn't grow up with that where you're going to haul them everywhere what happens when I'm going to go to buffalo i got to go to a bills game and as you know not great at planning yeah ahead so that also like i didn't realize the bills were playing next Thursday night yeah so you're maybe going to buffalo okay is everyone going can you take my dog if i need well here's the thing
Starting point is 00:13:42 history has shown that ends up a certain way the dog comes over and doesn't leave and your daughter falls in love with the dog and it's like you and the dog's great but we kind of have a there's a max capacity for oh oh your kids if if you said i'll i'll pick him up on this day we're back on tuesday we'll slide by then i don't think that's an issue yeah you could drop the dog off. Your kid's going to have some PTSD about me, though. So what are we doing with Sparky? Oh, we're going to take him to Boomer's
Starting point is 00:14:19 place. No! Dropping him off, he's looking at the other dog going. Yeah. That's my dog. That's my dog. That's my dog. You have my dog. Well, 7 to 12 isn't very high. Do you love your son? Mike, to break his hurt again. on one hand
Starting point is 00:14:45 what's one more time speaking of my over my coffin yeah he lied a lot yeah lied to me a lot made me a lot of promises never came through
Starting point is 00:14:58 very sad um Nashville it's or it's it's coming nationgear dot CA is the website and it's not till October 31st
Starting point is 00:15:12 but here's the thing Oh, yeah. We got to have an idea on numbers. So we can start locking some stuff. And we got planes. We got hotels and buses and game tickets and all this sort of thing. So we got to get some numbers. And I saw on the, I guess it was on the social media.
Starting point is 00:15:27 Maybe there was next weekend kind of thing. We're going to need to lock this in. So chop, chop. October 31 to November 3rd, we are going to Nashville. Would love you to come with round trip, direct flights from Calgary to Nashville. bus transportation to and from the airport. Three nights, downtown Nashville hotel. See, that's the thing we're going to nail that down.
Starting point is 00:15:52 But it's all, there's a bunch of hotels. All that area in the last probably 15 years has just developed like crazy there. So it'll be a walking distance hotel not only to the arena but to Broadway. Even the football stadium is just across. You can walk across the bridge to get there. That's kind of what people do. We're going to watch some football on the Sunday. I'm going to watch some hockey on the Sunday.
Starting point is 00:16:12 going to watch some hockey on the Saturday. There's a Friday night that's all yours, a Saturday, because it's an afternoon game, the hockey game on the Saturday. Great setup. You're getting, you're getting to the two major sports and all that Nashville, the food, the drink, the music, anything you want to do is there for you. They have non-flight packages if you own a plane, I guess, or you'd rather drive, start driving now.
Starting point is 00:16:37 If you got a nephew that's got a flight pilot's license, I'll haul you down there. So there's a non-flight package. option that'll get you the hotels and everything else. There's the full package, double occupancy. There you see it, 2599 for the whole smear. Man, I'll tell you. What a trip.
Starting point is 00:16:56 Jack, you've never been. Never been. Oh, and then you get to watch Jack in action. Yeah, you get, that's, I should sell tickets for that. That's free. That's included. Watching Jack get his,
Starting point is 00:17:08 his Nashville on for the very first time. I am so excited. The Pinder experience. Unfortunately, that's kind of a mandatory thing. I have to work past that. Yeah, you'll get over that. But thanks to Chelsea with Expedia cruises up in Edmonton, Northeast. We've been kind of just emailing back and forth because she needs some details
Starting point is 00:17:28 and that. She's put in a ton of work to make this as obviously, there's a bunch of options. We just want you to come. Want you to be there. Get on it. If you're on the fence, don't be. Nationgear.ca. And what's it travel?
Starting point is 00:17:41 is the travel or whatever the link is on that you'll figure it out and then click and sign up be tech savvy yeah now the there is one perk with having pinder you won't be even if you're a nerd and a bit of an outcast you're not going to be feel the disdain that people will have for him yeah and if you do one nerd out and talk geek stats and strategy he's all it if you want to sit down and have some drink some Jack Daniels, watch some live music. You can do that. If you'd like to sit in a in a honky talk and talk about cap hits
Starting point is 00:18:19 and percentages of salary caps and how the caps going up. He'll be happy to tell you how much smarter he is. How unshooked he is that Caprile Caprizz off turned down 100 million a season. You can do that too. Fill your boots. He loves the city.
Starting point is 00:18:36 Yep. Wants to be there. You talk about. It's like Crocodile Dundee. If you remember that movie, remember he is in New York City, just that's Pinder in Nashville. I mean, on one hand,
Starting point is 00:18:47 he loves boozing and having a good time. But he is not a honky tonker. No, whatsoever. I remember, uh, without naming names, because it doesn't really matter, but there was somebody who,
Starting point is 00:19:01 uh, worked with the flames a number of years ago. And he loved Nashville. There was something always about that Nashville trip. I might, take an extra bag this time so I can get my hat and my my my boots my extra stuff in there because we're going to nashville we got a little time and he so he got back so how is Nashville is like it was great it was rough so I woke up the the morning after I'm like oh man I'm sore
Starting point is 00:19:31 god my body what why am I so sorry he gets up and he kind of looks down he's got like scrapes down his arm his knuckles are all skinned it's like did I I can't what the hell happened last night? So then they meet and have breakfast. Like, how are you doing? I feel, I feel terrible.
Starting point is 00:19:49 Like, look at this. Well, yeah. He was walking back to the hotel and just like skimming up against the walls. The walls of the hotels and the buildings. Help them to channel them. The bumper car.
Starting point is 00:20:03 Raked his knuckles. Yeah. It's because you couldn't stand up straight. Oh. Well, that makes sense. Successful then. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:10 Successful evening. Yeah, they've got the pedal pubs there, Jack. You can get on there. They're playing loud music. You can get on a bunch of bachelorettes. You can get on one of those. Oh, Jack, they'll be all over you. Who's bad have your boots spin?
Starting point is 00:20:22 You'll be doing all that sort of thing. Any man of mine, you'd be singing, have some pink cowboy hat on, halter top. Get into a, they got the, they actually have golf carts. It's legal there. A golf cart's a cab. Really? They got the seat on the back of it facing out. you need a ride yep hop on me off you go it's a great town negotiate the price first year we'll go
Starting point is 00:20:48 yeah figure that out before that'll be nine hundred dollars i can see where you picked me up it was just over especially cab 900 bucks right now um that's all the food is great we're going you like mexican to ask oh yeah i'm gonna just follow you guys you lead the way i'm the newbie You know what's good. Do you like ribs? Oh, yeah. Yeah? Go for some ribs.
Starting point is 00:21:16 They got it. Barbecue ribs. I'm making ribs today. Are you? I got to go up to Bon Ton to the freezers. Is it? Well, it's that time. It's Bon Ton time.
Starting point is 00:21:33 It is that time. Did you take your Borset home? No, I was just going to say I forgot it in the fridge. I don't think there's enough. I didn't. Oh. So it's tasty. Okay.
Starting point is 00:21:45 But I like it. I don't want a bunch of broth. You want more? I want some to it. And I think that jar that you got has a fair bit of broth. I'm good with broth. All right. Well, there you go.
Starting point is 00:21:57 You'll be happy. Yeah, I find being brothy. I got to try Greg's bone broth. He was saying he had one guy, one of the guys working for him at Bontan, Meat Mart. He's like, he was, that was. that was his task. Create. Can you figure out the bone broth?
Starting point is 00:22:16 Because that's what it is now. Whatever you're making, are you making, healthy? Are you making gravies? Are you making just health? Whatever it is, you got to have a good broth. He's like this guy.
Starting point is 00:22:25 He put in the work. He was dedicated to the cause and put together a hell of a broth. So maybe put that into your old, your order. Are you, only you do your broth. I was just going to say that.
Starting point is 00:22:45 You're a broth guy. You're not make my own. Bontan Meat Market. Maybe you pop in and grab something for the weekend. You've got people coming over. Maybe you just like, you like eating the best quality food that there is. That's part of it.
Starting point is 00:23:00 Or do the Rett Warner. Winter's coming. I'm going to clean up my deep freeze. Get all the, I've got nine bags of ice that smell like gross in the bottom. They're taking up space. Some big box full of fish. Throw the freezes out.
Starting point is 00:23:15 Yep. Get high liner sort. Clean out your deep freeze and fill it full of bontan and be ready for the winter. They'll package your orders. I don't know if Greg loves us telling this, but they will do it. Here's what I need. I need. Pop in.
Starting point is 00:23:28 Pop in. Do it pop in. Do what you need. Stop and chat. Because we're definitely, what I need for meals is more ground beef than what you can just buy it. I need, I need, I need, I need. Yeah, don't give me these little.
Starting point is 00:23:44 single serve thing. 20 varieties of in-store made salads, delicious desserts, in-store made meat pies. Calgary and southern Alberta's Consumer Choice Award winner for Best Meat in Deli for 24 consecutive years. Bontan meat market 28 crowfoot circle in the northwest.
Starting point is 00:24:00 Indeed. Even with because the one older kid, he might be, he's not at home. You're still going through? We did notice, and it got brought up the other day that the leftovers last half a day longer. maybe a whole day longer.
Starting point is 00:24:16 Yeah. Do you have people that will, because I'm dealing with it, if we have leftovers, they go in the fridge, no one ever really goes in. For the leftovers? For the leftovers.
Starting point is 00:24:32 The shoveler is the worst. Make me this, okay, because I like to cook. Yeah. I make that. I absolutely make that. So there's,
Starting point is 00:24:41 and you get piles of leftovers. And it's in that fridge that, This bridge gets opened by the person I live with on a regular occur. Yeah. No clue. What's in there? I know. Zero.
Starting point is 00:24:55 Oh, I didn't know. Oh. There's still. I had three. Yeah, we ate that yesterday. Yeah. I had three containers of the same food left over that guaranteed was made three different separate. It's not like I had three from what made one big meal and had three.
Starting point is 00:25:11 It's like, well, that was from about a month ago and that's probably about three weeks ago. I made that last week. How? And if I were to take that out and repurpose it and put it on the stove, it will get eaten. Yes. But there's no that the circuitry isn't working up here where it's. Oh, what's in the fridge already? In the fridge is food and food is to be eaten.
Starting point is 00:25:35 That would be okay. It's more of a, what are you making is the approach. You know, the other thing we don't know how to do. And I'm going to take a video of it. I'm just going to start taking video examples, and I'm not going to tell them. We do not know. I think about when you're a kid and you're playing with blocks and stuff.
Starting point is 00:25:52 And okay, round, round peg, round hole, square peg this and you're building stuff. Stacking. We can't stack worth of shit in my house. Let's take the smallest thing possible and put a huge thing on top of it. And then something else on top of it.
Starting point is 00:26:09 Not a lot of engineers in my house. Whether it's bulls, like you know when you got your popcorn bowls you're mixing bowls well we're going to put the smallest one and then this one's sitting on top there and this in the fridge the big thing of like cottage cheese or the big sour cream it's on top of like a single serving
Starting point is 00:26:25 frigging yogurt takes a lot of effort and I don't even know what to say everyone is an adult in my house my parenting is done what am I going to okay guys like here's here's a teaching moment let's it's stacking
Starting point is 00:26:43 shit. And we don't know how to do it. My kid, the youngest, went into the fridge of the day. And what was it? He was going to make a sandwich. He didn't know where the cheese was.
Starting point is 00:27:01 He's lived his whole life in this home, except for two winters in Buffalo. But where's the cheese? Yeah. No, it's not in the very top. It's in that. It's in where the cheese goes.
Starting point is 00:27:15 the cheese drawer. It's in the drawer where the cheese goes and has always been. Yeah. They got tough lives.
Starting point is 00:27:24 It's tough. It's tough. Yeah. It really is. But I mean, he would be able to take care of a dog for sure. Well,
Starting point is 00:27:32 yeah. You know what? That, when you care enough about something? He doesn't give a rat's ass about anything. Oh,
Starting point is 00:27:42 it's a dog. He'll be bribed forever. Did you have a dog growing up, Jack? Yes, we did. Did you love that dog? I did love that dog. Then he moved away.
Starting point is 00:27:52 Ran away or? No, he moved with my father. Don't just keep it positive. Yes, I did. I did love that dog. Yeah, great memories. Good memories. Did you love your dad for getting them?
Starting point is 00:28:02 Yes, I did. I remember when he showed up in the airport in Montana. He's a scared little chocolate lab. Very cute. Dino's going to cry. Jesus. asked Dino about the time his dogs died you are a terrible human didn't Walker get dumped and your dog died
Starting point is 00:28:30 it was the same day yes yes the night before my beloved hound died and somehow walks got dumped and we were doing the radio show and I don't know if you noticed that maybe the mood was down or if just somebody brought it up and he's like
Starting point is 00:29:01 so your dog died and you got dumped oh that's pretty great this is going to be a great show that's the remorse that was the condolences that I was offering that was the comforting fall the cushioning for us
Starting point is 00:29:18 from old retro friends are there for friends I guess so that goes uh hearing loss clinic mention them the other day, mention them again. If you don't follow them on social media, you should. They've got a lot. Just giving stuff away.
Starting point is 00:29:36 They're very unlike me and unlike us, very good at social. The Instagram specifically, I think, is kind of their strength. They'll have different prize packages available, different things going on. You see how they're giving back to the community. And if you have it already, I've been on record. They've made a big change for me and how,
Starting point is 00:29:57 how my life goes in terms of hearing, hearing protection, hearing loss, that sort of thing. Because it can happen. You don't just need to be some rock and roll star to lose your hearing. It can happen. It can happen over time. Maybe you're born with it. Maybe you have a child. You're like, oh, they're really struggling.
Starting point is 00:30:14 We've gotten tutors and we've moved them to the front of the classroom. Now we can't figure out. You could be the DUG and deny it. Right. Have you tested their hearing? Have you got into it? Hearingloss.ca is the website. And if you're holding off thinking, oh, well, it's hearing aids.
Starting point is 00:30:31 Like I say, you take a look around. Who doesn't have things in their ears these days? Everyone's got air pods, headphones, they're listening to something. They're not talking. No one talks to anybody anyway. I love it. You go to the grocery store or whatever? I got, sorry, I got stuff in my ear.
Starting point is 00:30:49 I can't. I love to chat, but I'm sorry. I'm on a call. I'm very, you got these things. It's 24-7. Sorry, I can't interact with you whatsoever. or for or maybe the it's the opposite where you're more it's easier to interact with people and talk because now you're hearing and you're part of all the conversations it's probably the best way to put it hearing loss dot CA book yourself in foreign assessment school's back in it's not too late for your kid if you haven't done it already or if you're an adult be an adult and go have your hearing assessed like you you're due you're overdue for one of those jack never done it we're going we're going go get you in there wings afterwards right um i sustained an injury yesterday speaking of which
Starting point is 00:31:37 it wasn't physicality it wasn't just austin eclere who suffered a debilipilitating injury a career ender yeah a potential career ender yeah um it was a bad one i'm still i'm very much on the limp today i don't know i don't know what you do now what do you do when you have like an ACL or a Oh, you got to brace that shit. Get yourself a brace. Yeah, my left knee. There's a lot of this going around. I told you, the mother-in-law went down and fractured a wrist.
Starting point is 00:32:11 Not you with your knee? Yeah. You're not going to heal up like you used to either. No, I don't think so. Don't get some stem cells injected. Yeah, it was a bad one. I was emptying the dishwasher. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:26 Yeah. So a deep knee bend? no you know what it was so picture this oh i don't want to yeah you got it you got to all right so counter space yeah dishwasher under the counter type deal and the cupboards with the plates and that are behind here right i'm i can i was at your house the day so i kind of go to very similar to how when i kind of did a oh the arm thing i reached with something heavy to put it about very similar movement jack so taking the um dishes up, putting a stacking.
Starting point is 00:33:01 And I went to do a stack this way. Left foot planted. So, and as I turned, foot didn't turn with. It just stayed north as I go west to south. Oh, doing this around. Oh, get to the chair. Damn it. Oh.
Starting point is 00:33:42 And then it's, what do you do? Do you tell anyone about it? Why, you just to look for some sympathy? or do you sit there I can't tell Pete I can't tell my wife this is what I did can tell anybody
Starting point is 00:33:55 are you limping no no no no I must sliver maybe I'm not sure wet spot dog water or something I'm not sure maybe I'm not so yeah shoe in my rock in my shoe not great
Starting point is 00:34:06 really yeah inside right yeah right thereish yeah somewhere yeah somewhere you've been getting hurt a lot I got the tens machine I actually got a a, one of my kids has some weird
Starting point is 00:34:23 Oswalder burger fries shake thing. And so his father-in-law bought him a knee vibration, heat, red light therapy. Is it the Osgood Schlatter's? Yeah, that's what I have. I can show you. You can't have Osgood Schlatters
Starting point is 00:34:45 because Osgood Schlatter's, from my understanding, is when you're growing and you're a gold, gross i'm aware jack find a photo of osgood slatters just like chris osgood and then it's sce h doesn't know who chris osgood is fair enough jack do you know who chris osgood is it's a goaltender oh he's a guy that probably could be in the hall of fame goals he's a crazy one right for all the wins yeah i'm not sure he ever really wanted to be the number one either he was just kind of this is great a lot of games for me playing a lot of games here, guys. I was supposed to be the backup.
Starting point is 00:35:22 Yeah, the Osgood Schlatter's is, it's your knee bone. Connected to the shin bone. The shin bone. And if you're not growing correctly, the, you get a lumparoo there. You had a big bone bump. You wait, Jack's going to call it up. And I might get an ISO cam. I might, the Pinder cam.
Starting point is 00:35:43 There it is. The femurs connect. There's your quad and there's your patella. Patelah 10 and the tibia and then all of a sudden that damn bone below the knee cap tibia I broke that now they say it's inflammation I don't know can the inflammation go down I don't really know I think if you don't treat it as it's happening because my understanding is that the growth plates are you're stretching apart the ligaments not keeping up and then it gets inflamed and yeah yeah you want to see it right there I see it boom was it always hurt
Starting point is 00:36:19 It hurts like, well, can you people, here, can you. Right there. Right there. I would turn more, but my, I have a torn ACL. Right there. Try kneeling on that son of a bitch. Is that when it hurts? Hurts like a bastard.
Starting point is 00:36:37 Really? Yes. For life. Full life. Are you telling me in today's world, we can't figure this S out? Come on, people. Do I got to go into science and medicine? too. I don't know how I get
Starting point is 00:36:56 anywhere. It's a miracle you're a brave man. It's a miracle with my ACLs, my Osgood slatters. I thought it goes away. That has not gone away. So yeah, if there's ever anything, it's like can you grab that from under the sink? No. One of the big
Starting point is 00:37:14 humans kids had it and I thought it went away. It probably does. I probably should have done something for it as opposed to just not just watching it. Did you find out what the is there a doctor? JAMA medical journal says about treatment. Help my slatters out.
Starting point is 00:37:30 My friggin slatters. No good. Slatter some fries. Yeah. No good. Maybe the boys that invest med. Yes. While they're under the hood, it's like, well, we're,
Starting point is 00:37:44 we're working with, with some of this. We'll also, it's like when you go get your transmission changed in your vehicle. We got a lot of work to do here. We got, uh, I can't imagine. we're also going to work on those stone chips and some other things while we're in there, get that Schlatter's taken care of. Invest dashmed.ca, Canada's first and only private medical
Starting point is 00:38:06 testing company. It is, it's, no disrespect, but this is, it's, it's the full info you want. Yeah. You're not going to get it anywhere else. It's designed for people who value their time. You want to take control of your long-term health, whether, and not just, I don't, I'm feeling something. I don't feel good. Yes. But best case scenario, before that happens. Let's preventative.
Starting point is 00:38:33 Right. A comprehensive proactive screening battery that can identify individual health risks, support mitigation of potentially life-ending disease before it starts. It just feels like this is a smart thing to do. It doesn't feel like it.
Starting point is 00:38:50 It is the smart thing. Yeah. If you care about as you get older, enjoying life, having more life, longer life, kids, grandkids, vacations, travel, that sort of thing, then this just feels like something that you want to invest in, maximizing your health for the long term and get that exam and testing and talking with Dr. Bailey. He was, I think I told you the other day.
Starting point is 00:39:12 He's like, if there's something, what a major matter, but if it's not like you get sent out the door. So here, here's a checklist of things that you're going to need to take care. This is a team effort. We're going to work on these things together. So it's a very cool. Starting point is 00:39:34 To find out more. And you can book in for a, you know, kind of the preliminary. The consult. That's right. $199 bucks, a one-hour consultation. Find out how to protect your future health with invest med, invest dashmed.com. It's probably all on that knee. Shave down that thing.
Starting point is 00:39:56 I was thinking of those poor guys. You can talk to them, let's go through the battery of stuff and then at the end of it. Is there anything? Oh, yeah. Yeah, I got a tight hip. My knees,
Starting point is 00:40:05 my knees buckered. I can't see. I can't hear. Yeah, I got some oblique. You know what? Pretty tight. I'll get it figured out.
Starting point is 00:40:14 They'll figure it out. They will figure it out. So the thing I've kind of forgot about today, I knew Pinder wasn't here. I was like, okay, well, that's okay. Perfect. The Pender report. God, I forgot about the Pender report.
Starting point is 00:40:30 He, the Pinder does the Pender report. I'm going to A. I got some stuff and that because I kind of scribbled some stuff down last minute when I realized like, yeah, I guess he's not here to do the Pender report. But I can do the Pender report for the good people of Village Honda. The 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid winner of the North American car of the year for a record setting fourth time.
Starting point is 00:40:56 So think about that. North America. Right. Big, that. huge right big big place jack right north america big place huge village honda just small little little right just like in your city so out of that the the number one car the winner of the north american car of the year fourth straight tuck you can get right here in our city isn't that reassuring doesn't that feel good village honda is here for you they're your dealership for life they too they're going to help
Starting point is 00:41:25 take care of you something goes wrong they're there to help it's a beautiful thing Village Honda, Northwest Automol, online at village honda.com. RAND PINDA. RANDPA-INDA. RIM-INDA. I guess I'll put that out there. All right, here you go. What do you got?
Starting point is 00:41:44 NFL, Green Bay Packers. Uh-huh. Secured to 2718 victory over the Washington commanders with a standout defensive performance that's stifled. It was. The commander's offensive efforts. Jaden Daniels, 24 for 42, 200 yards, pair of TDs, got sacked four times.
Starting point is 00:42:02 A big night for Tucker Kraft. He's a big dude. He was running roughshod, 6 for 124 yards receiving and a touchdown. And we mentioned Austin Echler, who is in his later stages of his NFL career. Feels like that might be it. And Achilles injury when you have the non-contact and it goes pop and you get trucked off. And you're 40? He's, I don't even know how old he is.
Starting point is 00:42:31 30. He's 30. It's old for a running back. It's like in dog years. You know, you'd know that being a dog guy. Yeah, I love dogs. Yeah, kind of a crappy run for Eckler.
Starting point is 00:42:41 And for the Packers, they, between last week, they beat the Lions and made that look fairly easy. Now it's the commanders. Both of these teams were playoff teams a year ago, Washington and Detroit.
Starting point is 00:42:56 And Green Bay kind of didn't break a sweat in beating both, convincingly. So if you are a little late getting on the Packer Bandwagon, maybe it is time. Because as Jack said yesterday. Now, what did you say?
Starting point is 00:43:10 I said, I think they're the best team in the NFL. That's Heady praise. It's big praise, Jack. That is big praise. I think so. I mean, feel better about it today than you did yesterday.
Starting point is 00:43:20 Totally. How about that? Calgary Flame rookies. They got started yesterday with camp. Well, Brett Sutter, coach of the Wranglers, running them through the, Zipping them around.
Starting point is 00:43:32 Pilons and stuff and doing all that sort of good stuff. They are going to be on the ice. They've got a weekend set against Edmonton Oiler Rookies tonight in Edmonton 7 o'clock there on Sunday. It'll be a 4 p.m. start at the dome. $10 tickets. Get the kids. Get the families.
Starting point is 00:43:49 Yes. Down there. It's a nice. You're home early. It's a perfect spot. And all the money is going to the Flames Foundation. And also it's going to a chip. Yeah, they're going to funnel that over to the charity arm.
Starting point is 00:44:00 which I saw over, and again, $400 and some $1,000 at the golf tournament earlier this week. Awesome. The back community effort. Do great stuff. Yeah, $10 for the Sunday game, 4 o'clock at the dome between the oiler.
Starting point is 00:44:14 Get the place packed so that the kids get motivated. That's right. Get a little action going and have a little Donnybrook or two. They'll be excited. We're the sweaters, names on the back at the dome. So nerve-wracking. Yeah. Toronto.
Starting point is 00:44:31 Maple Leaf Gardens was my first rookie. Rookie deal. Whatever. Who is pissing my pants. Just your guts are just in knots. Everybody else is like, when's this over? When are we? Out of here.
Starting point is 00:44:50 Yeah. That's what it's all about though. Sunday at 4 o'clock. Sabers news. Yes. Oka peculican and injured. Oh. tweaked something like real well
Starting point is 00:45:03 you tell me was he doing the dishwasher he was doing the dishes then stepped on a nail and ucapec alukin and injured tweaked something we'll see like it's mid-September
Starting point is 00:45:17 so bad time for this to crop up they have Alex Lion and Devin Levi goaltenders under contract they've also gone out now and signed Alexander Georgiev Georgi 5 to a one year year 825K deal. And they just said that immediately after he got hurt?
Starting point is 00:45:35 Well, yeah, that's kind of an indicator. The news came out roughly at about the same time. I just wonder if coinky dink or maybe one is tied to the other. Georgie 5 getting a minor. Is it a two-way deal? That I didn't get that deep into it. I just saw that he had signed and that UPL was. Good for Georgie 5, bad for UPL, bad for the Sabers.
Starting point is 00:45:58 but if you live in Buffalo, you're not paying attention. Yeah, I don't know. I think that probably all eyes are on one team. Something else going on there, yeah. One of these things, it's not like the other. Begoula, he's happy. Oh, yeah. All the money he makes from the bills would easily cover all the money he loses.
Starting point is 00:46:19 Don't pay attention to my hockey team. You're loving my football team, though, aren't you? How am I the worst owner in the NHL, but... Look what I'm doing. Look at me. Mark Andre Fleury retired at the end of last season. Don't tell me he fake. It was an emotional end.
Starting point is 00:46:33 He was a member of the Minnesota Wild. I kind of forget how that all ended. Remember they had him in the game and then took him out or put him in or whatever it was. But it was nice for him to have a, his kids were in the crowd. They were teary eyed and all that. Mark Andre Fleury has signed a pro triumph with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Oh, that's nice. Yeah, he'd feel he is going to play.
Starting point is 00:46:55 I thought he was actually jumping back. Yeah, it feels like it's one of those, and your, and your situation here. He's going to play parts. He's going to get a job with the penguins. Parts of an exhibition game coming up later this month. Not all of it.
Starting point is 00:47:10 Didn't say if he's going to start or whatever, but he'll play parts of it. Well, that'll help sell some tickets to that game. And I think he's reporting to training camp like 10 minutes before that game kind of thing. So it doesn't feel like if you're, if you're a,
Starting point is 00:47:26 a Pittsburgh goaltender that all of a sudden there's a so the same it was sabers were going between georgie five yeah that's right yeah so that's kind of nice it felt like he should have been there forever but i was an idiot i know because you couldn't trade the other guy the other guy was younger and way better and flurry couldn't stop a beach ball yeah huh boy if pender were here well jack i could have saved your franchise could you have yeah you wouldn't be in don't win the cups without the other guy yeah you woulda well they wouldn't have you're an idiot so the goaltending carried them to the stanley cup win oh but i flurre you forget that flurry was playing up until this ass hat came back and they were winning yes but matt murray like they don't
Starting point is 00:48:19 win those cups without matt you're effed you're what was who started in the finals the back to back I realized that, but you didn't need to. That's my whole point that you didn't need Matt Murray to. Would Flurry have been just as good? Would he have been a big step down? That's just it. These idiots, they think Fleury was a sieve. He played another decade.
Starting point is 00:48:46 Flurry was a sieve for a couple of years. He got bench in the playoffs for Vocoon. I remember one year. He had a bad stretch with the penguins. Well, you know what that is? Well, I'll tell you what, Matt Murray is really sure. yeah he's had a bad coaching coaching it's bad jamming Thomas Focoon Thomas Focoon I remember him starting in the playoffs yeah gross no Matt Murray was a
Starting point is 00:49:12 Mike Sullivan guy yep worked out eh Molly won back to back up yeah we couldn't have done it with Mark Andre Fleury who was a civil I think the second the second year when they went back to back he started like the first half of the playoffs exactly they took him out for no reason. Yeah, you got, you got run out, but. Yeah. I was right. You guys were wrong.
Starting point is 00:49:37 There you have it. Case closed. Case closed. Calvary FC inaction tomorrow, 2 o'clock at Atco Field. They host the Halifax, Ho Wanderers. These wanderers. They've been around.
Starting point is 00:49:49 They're from Halifax, and they've been around, around, around, around, around, around, yeah. They are one point back of the Cavs for a third spot in the standings. You've got your bus trip coming up. in a week, just over a week, the 20th game. Yep, next Saturday. And those details, you guys are meeting at,
Starting point is 00:50:08 uh, meeting at the pub at the pub, getting on the busing over. Do you have, you don't have, uh, no details. You're going on this trip, I'm going on this trip. Um, he's just, the elephant and castle. He's been bullied by Pindon. I know. Yeah, I know.
Starting point is 00:50:25 It's tough. Um, link in the description. Link in the description is a good way to put it. Calgary Stampeters, they're on a buy this week. Take the weekend off, fellas. Eight and four, they are Saskatchewan. 10 and two, tidy. They've got the Montreal.
Starting point is 00:50:44 Hallowettes coming into town this weekend. So go, uh, go owls, right? Aluette. No. Is that what you're saying? I'll cheer for them. Because if the riders can fall to 10 and 3, then you're best, that's best case for stamps striking distance if the riders win to move to 11 i mean that's three victory that's
Starting point is 00:51:09 more ground to cover we'll worry about let's just get i went into the playoffs so we'll worry about good then uh my trout ended a significant home run drought okay yeah by hitting his 399th career homer contributing to the los angeles angels angels playoff push are the angels going for the playoffs Has Trout missed more games than he's played over the course? It would be nice to know what kind of dough he's getting. Oh, baby. If you think of the math, how many games each year, how many, if he were to have played every game as opposed to how many he's missed.
Starting point is 00:51:46 I'm going to. And he's been, it's going to be tougher for a guy that's made about $900 million to say, you've wasted your career, sir. That's probably not the best way to look at it, but not a lot of winning there for Trout, Trout, pretty little Trout. Blue Jays, 6-0-0-0-1 over Houston. Another way, Blue Jays.
Starting point is 00:52:07 Gosman, complete game. Two hit shutout, 9Ks. He was sparkling. It's a sparkling effort. Yankees beat Detroit. Can I tell you what it is? Yeah. As of May 2025, Mike Trout had missed approximately 387 of the Angels 646 games.
Starting point is 00:52:28 Right? since May 17th, 2021. So more than half. Yeah, I'm going to play in half. But I'm going to get paid for all. Paid for all. Yeah, you'll pay me for all of them. And Georgie Sweetland.
Starting point is 00:52:47 Oh, George is it a pub? That's, yeah, that's. Brett, what was AI saying about the angels? Because they're not close at all. Really? I love that. They're playoff push. They're, yeah, they're telling you.
Starting point is 00:52:59 A.I. Close it. I think AI's. a lot of the time. I can't trust it. Seattle is 79 and 68 in the bottom wild card spot and the angels are 69 and 78. So they're like 10 games back. Wow. Well, but maybe it is a push.
Starting point is 00:53:17 How many games are left? Not many. Not enough for sure. That's just double check. I never makes. Yankees won and now. The Yankees win. They are opening a three game set. against the dastardly red socks at fenway let's go red socks are three and a half back the
Starting point is 00:53:37 yankees are three back of the jays what a series this will be this weekend it's going to go a long way to determine who wins this a lees hell where's the standings jeez this is a terrible whips no you just your fat fingers hit the wrong no it's that 15th thing down you're getting batting percentage before you're getting the standings who are we worried about uh the well the angel you were going to see where they were at. Oh, they've been eliminated. The 10 games back. I worry that we've relied on AI so much here now.
Starting point is 00:54:18 I told you. Like I feel maybe Mardaloup's using AI for their construction plans outside. Yeah. Because they're doing a lot of shit wrong and doing a second, third, fourth time. This didn't work. They got roads shut down. They can't let anybody parks. I'm not sure.
Starting point is 00:54:33 Was this the right? the right strategy because I don't know this is working or not. Yeah, I I would fact check a little bit on on the old AI. Don't you, didn't you say you like pay money? Don't you have like a monthly subscription to?
Starting point is 00:54:51 Lots. I was doing the visa look through. Yeah, yeah. And. That's good. What's that? Jack, I once bought a, I had an,
Starting point is 00:55:04 iPhone that was purchased probably 2011 from one of the big box stores. And I bought insurance on it because it used to break a lot of phone. It would be safe. Yeah. I paid insurance on that phone for a decade. It just renewed every year. Every month there was another five spot. Just ching, ching.
Starting point is 00:55:34 had the phone for about a year and a half paid insurance on it. Had not had an iPhone for a decade. Don't they have those apps where they can go through and see what your monthly monthly payments are and whether they are? I don't know. Because that was, I remember because we talked about that. And then I think you did somewhat of a, it wasn't even a deep dive, but you started to look.
Starting point is 00:56:00 It's like, well, that's a cookbook recipe thing that I was, I haven't used that in a day. decade and there's this and there's this and there is this there is this there was a lot going on i and i fear that there's still probably oh it's back and i yeah i just need to see we can do that i'll just cancel the card do that on the show next week you some good give us up to talk about um did we finish the pender report sure that's been yeah pinda report for village honda pinna report for village Honda. How many in his Pinder right now? What time is it?
Starting point is 00:56:40 11? Yeah, it's noon. Oh, he's had a couple of Caesars or Bloody Marys or some sort of. Yeah, he'll be taking his golf game real seriously and giving other guys tips on where to have the ball in their stance and talking about Carter McDavid and God. It's another one of those things I heard over. He was talking on the phone to somebody other day. He's like, yeah, I'm hitting on the 10. I have guys golf trips.
Starting point is 00:57:07 That'll be good. Yeah, guys flying in from Singapore and, you know, Jerusalem is like, where do you have all, where are these friends? Yeah,
Starting point is 00:57:17 a bunch of high school friends coming back. Guys coming in from Saigon and, do you know, any, the other thing is like, I think, I think you're right. These people are coming from these places.
Starting point is 00:57:29 So, so he went to high school with these folks. Allegedly. And they've gone on to Singapore, which I'm guessing. you're doing something. Jerusalem and Saigon. Maybe doing something good there.
Starting point is 00:57:41 Europe of, yeah. And you went to college in. Me? No, him. Him? Oh, uh, Seat. Lethbridge? Oh, yeah, he was definitely, yeah, he went to Lethbridge.
Starting point is 00:57:54 Oh. So they all, same high school and ended up. Yeah. And there's, I think there's a number of them that are in like the tech world. Yeah, like banking, high end. Sold multi-million dollar corporation. operations that's bridge yeah he sits in here looks and looks at my fat face for two hours a day maybe that's why he's such an arrogant i don't know what it is he hates yeah i don't know what it is
Starting point is 00:58:21 i it's just uh he's a creature he is a creature because he's not dumb because he knows all these stupid stats that are associated to you know what it is too though it's like the guy or the girl at your if you walk around with papers you're busy scrambling around he talks so much and so fast and says so many things we're not fact checking anymore it's a good point it's a lot of it's bullshit he could go into politics yeah oh this is we're doing this because you've caught him from time but yesterday you said what did you say about i thought well no no because you said yeah no i never said debt politics yeah um we do our bet 365 bets oh i got some beauties do you got some beauties are these are these ruts bets bets rats bets for bet 365 get the app get in on the game if you
Starting point is 00:59:17 haven't signed up already do so use the code nation when you sign up for a little bit of love must be 19 or older bet responsibly whatever your bet is it's never ordinary at bet 365 actually now i'm second guessing are you oh no i'm not angels to make a playoff i actually thought i have had Mike Trout in there and I'm like, damn it, he just hit one. He had it one for. I'm into baseball. You are. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:42 So I'm going home runs. Ronnie Acuna. Ronnie Acuna hasn't hit one for five more, more than five games. Okay. He's due. He's new. Yeah. Laddie.
Starting point is 00:59:51 Same sort of thing. Pinterest said he was hot. He's got to hit a homer. There's opening a weekend set against Baltimore. The trash birds, as Ryan refers to them. Okay. And we love the guy in the middle. The big dumper.
Starting point is 01:00:06 We mentioned his name and I'm like, I got a bet on this guy. He was at 53 the other day. I don't know if he's hit one since. No, he's had five or six games without. So he's due again. Look at you. It's not stopping. Wait, imagine if you parlayed those.
Starting point is 01:00:19 I will. I'll do it right now. Acuna Jr. One or more, Cal Raleigh. One or more and Vladdy Guerrero Jr. One or more home. This is, you just dip a toe. These are kind of on the nose.
Starting point is 01:00:32 You love getting it deep into it. It's all there for you. Thank you, Bet365. Read message. Download the app and get in on the game. And look at us today. We've got a little daily on the Super Chat. Super Chat's coming in with a little bit of donation,
Starting point is 01:00:54 some cash support. You get your comment on the show and we take the money and get it to the U-S centers of Calgary. We're about a year in and we will, looking forward. Yeah, we'll have some. Kind of a check presentation. I mean, that would be the thought.
Starting point is 01:01:04 I don't know how we'll get a check. Maybe one of us have to go. I don't get it either. Either way, happy to help a great cause. Let's take a look on what is coming in. Josh, hey, Jay, Josh. Five bucks. Do you think the flames will or should sign Dubay and bring him back into the fold?
Starting point is 01:01:20 That came down yesterday. The five players that were involved with the sexual misconduct thing, they were acquitted. And then Gary Bettman said, well, here's the deal. They've all shown a lot of remorse. We're going to take some time. They're going to have to do this. by the time it's all said and done, if they apply for reinstatement, it'll be two years out of the game.
Starting point is 01:01:37 And we consider that time spent. Served. Served. Thank you. I don't, I feel like a lot of these players will be looking for fresh starts. I don't know. I feel the same way. I don't know really what.
Starting point is 01:01:59 I mean, it's not for, it's not for me to get into. There's a lot involved and I understand and I respect all of it. but I can't help but wonder if the teams that these players were on before and the players themselves might be looking for fresh starts. That would be my assumption. And if you want to dive deeper into it, hockey wise, we were kind of talking about Dubay. Is he going to be qualified when he was a restricted free agent at the number he was at? Wow, I think they're. And then that kind of went to the side.
Starting point is 01:02:30 Anyway, I would suggest that probably you'll see Dylan Dubet somewhere else. that would be my answer to that. And if we're talking about those guys, is Hart going to be in the Oilers? Well, I don't know. Crosshairs? Makes sense for them. It would seem to make sense,
Starting point is 01:02:50 but all you hear out of there is how happy they are with Stuart Skinner and time will tell. So the players still suspended until December. Is that what I read? Yeah, they need to. There's more that they have to get through before they can come back.
Starting point is 01:03:04 So maybe if the Oilers goaltending sucks, in December. Yeah. But they said they could sign before that. Yeah. Yeah. That, I mean, it feels like that's going to happen. Yes.
Starting point is 01:03:17 I'm a million miles away from it. I've just, it's pure speculation, but it seems like here's a young goaltender that was highly thought of. And if you're a Philly goaltender and you don't perform all that well, that's happened to every goalie that's gone through Philadelphia. I don't know what, what Carter Hart is at this stage of his career or after this long away from the game.
Starting point is 01:03:38 but I would think for sure with all the pressure. And do the previous teams own their rights at all? Or are they just, how does that work? I think it. Jesus, Jack. Don't sorry.
Starting point is 01:03:49 Yeah, definitely bring up more questions. I'm curious. Sorry. Like, that's the cardinal thing you don't do is throw your partners under the, like you Google it and then, uh,
Starting point is 01:03:57 I think, well, someone in the chat, no. I don't know. Dummy. Um, next.
Starting point is 01:04:02 Contracts were terminated in most cases, I thought. Next. There's another awkward conversation we can really, you can sink your teeth into, Jack? You want to talk about P. Diddy and some baby oil? You want to get into that? Talk about Trump on the old file. Was he going to the island?
Starting point is 01:04:21 What else do you want to talk about? We're going to get the birthday book out here. There's handsome Dan. Look at that. 20 bucks. Lola. My beautiful Lola passed a year ago at the age of 11. She was a rescue, a well-behaved lap dog, mixed Malamute, Golden Lab, weighing it at 100 pounds.
Starting point is 01:04:39 I would have happily traded most humans I know for her. Yes. Is that the attachment she'd get to these things? I've heard it said. There's, there's a guy, and actually I think he's coming on the Nashville trip. He's like,
Starting point is 01:04:52 you know, there's the odd human that I don't mind. I'd probably give all the, I'd just, give me a dog. I'll take my dog over just about every human that I know. Really? Yes.
Starting point is 01:05:06 They don't talk your ear off. They shit on your carpet. They shouldn't. If you, if, you just told me the other day that your dog shit under carp. Well, he's dumb.
Starting point is 01:05:18 Dumb. And his, his, his backyard poop spot has been decimated. He was very happy yesterday. He's like, okay, but go outside.
Starting point is 01:05:26 He's like, oh my God. What is this? New world. Am I? Hey, can I poop out here? Real?
Starting point is 01:05:33 Yes. So yeah. Dogs are the best. Hands of Dan. Send it our love. Yeah. Was that it? That's all.
Starting point is 01:05:50 Was that three? Two. I did star another question. Do you feel like a freebie? Or is it another awkward? I can put it up. It's for Rhett. Or he can answer it or not answer.
Starting point is 01:06:04 What do you? Before we get into it, does this feel like something he's going to want to answer based on what you've seen today? just using your ret vision speaking of vision you can now get what are the things that go on your eyes
Starting point is 01:06:23 lenses contact lenses that you give you infrared vision even with your eyes closed infrared wasn't Herbert wearing some special contacts like shut the front door like block the sun or something infrared like what would you use that for I don't know
Starting point is 01:06:44 you're like a wolf running around I was listening to Rogan I'd like it if it was like x-ray vision and you can see through clothes and stuff be a big pervert you'd have the lenses on but also the sunglasses I need and then I'd need the lenses on top
Starting point is 01:07:02 to put it into into focus because I can't see and then it's too bright so I'd need like the tinted lenses too many lenses it's too many put the question up Jack this is this 30th day
Starting point is 01:07:16 of asking this. Jack, this is day 30 of trying to get the Jack to get the Rett to give his hamburger soup recipe. Oh, Jesus. Maybe because the Steelers won last week, today will be the day. Brian. Barley? Tomato soup, Campbell's that stuff, beef broth.
Starting point is 01:07:36 Now I'm going off the top of my head. Yeah, yeah. Brown up the hamburger. There's got to be some onion in there. Carrots. For sure. that might be just about it. Simmer that, you've made it.
Starting point is 01:07:53 So the ground beef for the hamburger soup. Are you cooking it all the way to? I do. Cooking it all the way. So is it a full like small crumble? Do you try and leave some bigger chunks? Personal preference. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:07 Personal preference. I'm not too particular one way or the other to be honest with you. Because you're going to drain it. Oh, yeah. Right? because you're going to have a little, no matter, even if you do it lean, you're going to have some,
Starting point is 01:08:21 you're going to want to drain that. It's your recipe. But I know for me, I didn't go to quite a tight crumble, leaving some bigger chunks, which means it's not fully cooked. There's going to be some pink in the middle, but it's going to cook in the broth,
Starting point is 01:08:37 which will supplement the flavor. Summer and slunk. Yeah, but the pearl barley, the pot barley is awesome. Yep. And you know what, put whatever. You want some celery in there? Go ahead.
Starting point is 01:08:46 Dice some celery. put it in there. You want carrot? I think there's a can of of diced tomatoes. Mm-hmm. There was Campbell's tomato soup. If you want it to be more tomatoy, take a little paste. Put it in, cook your, cook your onions and put the paste in.
Starting point is 01:09:03 Cook that paste for a little bit because it can be a little bitter until you cook that out of it. As important, make your damn grilled cheese with it. Yeah. I'm not hankering for fall and shitty weather. But when that, if you bring up hamburger soup and grilled, what are it on? Yep. It's supposed to rain on Monday. I freaking love soup and stew.
Starting point is 01:09:30 It's like, it's pumpkin spice season. I saw that. I guess so. Yeah, I saw. I went to this, I went to the store yesterday or the day before. And it's one of those places where you, um, you can get things for about a dollar. Oh, yeah. Well, they say you can, but there's nothing in there that's a dollar.
Starting point is 01:09:50 anyway, not only do they have the Halloween stuff up, they got the Christmas. Christmas. They got the Christmas. They got a whole, the whole thing was like Christmas balls and tree ornaments and decorations.
Starting point is 01:10:02 Holy dinah. Well, pop the brakes. Dollar thing. You love Christmas. I do. But I also, like you say, I'm not ready for the weather to go all. Oh,
Starting point is 01:10:13 we're going to have a long and fall. Do you think so? Yeah. Talk to some of my Blades alumni, farmers, way through. Didn't get a lot of rain out in Manitoba, but it rained yesterday. So yeah, put a slowdown on the harvest. Probably all depends on where you are in that harvest.
Starting point is 01:10:31 Yeah, we can use a little more moisture on the, you know, these certain fields. Halfway. Or if you're truck and I get that off, so we do not need it now. Let's get this in the bin, boys. Halfway. That's good. God bless all your farmers out. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:44 Hopefully. Left and right. The old, uh, origin boys, they'd be just going. full tilt. They've got like farmland the size of Saskatchewan. They need to combine all of Saskatchew. I was driving I was speaking on a medicine hat.
Starting point is 01:11:02 They had one of the big farms where they had the seven combines going. That helps. That's a flex, hey? If you're one of those farmers, like we'll get like four of them in a row stagger or a mugger. Not your big deal, are you?
Starting point is 01:11:20 Yeah, it's all right. well that's enough it's Friday get done early get stuck in traffic it's horrendous in this city it's not the city's fault it's ninchies fall jack what do you got going this weekend you're not going to morgan wall and are you no why i can get you tickets my
Starting point is 01:11:42 really person i live with her cousin husband is a big wig on this tour Oh yeah, we could go meet the guy. You want to go backstage? You want to go to go meet Morgan? Now. Maybe Jack will do that walkout.
Starting point is 01:11:58 You know he does the walkout? Yeah. Hey, yeah, this out. Okay. Yo, yo, yo, you could be yo, yo, yo, yo. Yo, boo. Did that in Toronto through the, through the Jose Batiss's bat, hit his wife.
Starting point is 01:12:09 Oh, yeah. See that video? Come on now. It's not nice. What happened? Who does get the walkout? Jose Batiste that came out for one of the shows. You know, he does the walkout.
Starting point is 01:12:19 So they got the camera. on him. It's like, hey, he's coming out. So Bautista's got the bat famous for the bat flip. So Morgan Walthe takes the bat and he gives a big swing and then throws the bat. Batista's wife has taken a phone video. The bat comes foam! Hits her.
Starting point is 01:12:37 Wallen tossed the bat. Did the bat flip. Hit Bautista's wife. That's awesome. Jose says, everything's fine. She's fine. It didn't hurt. It just it's all good. That is so awesome. Yeah. I don't want to go to the concert because I'll get caught making out with some strangers. No, you won't?
Starting point is 01:12:57 Cold point. No. I don't think they do that. There's no crowd cameras. All cameras are on Morgan and his band. Careful, Jack. You'll be fine. Yeah, I don't want to have to have a meeting with HR on Monday because you've been smooching up on some CEO's wife.
Starting point is 01:13:16 Jeez. No, I don't have any plans. If I get his tickets, I'll bring you. All right. No, you won't. I would. This is like, this is lower than the dog percentage. I've got to figure out the math and the timing. If my idiot nephew would get his pilot's license,
Starting point is 01:13:34 I would buy a plane, then we could fly up there and be done with it. It is quite a world. If my nephew got his pilot's license, I'd buy a plane and we'd fly to Edmont. Those planes are cheap. Because my wife's sister's cousin's husband is. is a big wing on this tour. Yeah. You want to go?
Starting point is 01:13:55 Like what kind of what is he doing? Do you and the person you live with? I don't know. I mean you don't know. I do like Morgan Wallen. It's in a stadium with so many people. Yeah, but if we fly in and out, we can fly right into downtown.
Starting point is 01:14:09 Can we chopper in? Chopper in. Well, I don't like choppers. They're not as safe. Let me know. What am I doing? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:14:22 You were looking for something. You're buying a plane. You're going to buy a plane? I got a few feelers out for a plane. Okay. What's going to be easier to get the tickets or the plane? Either it's a credit card. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:37 Okay. Yeah, there's tickets available, Jack. You don't need Rett's wife, sister's husband. You're not going with just my wife either, by the way, because then you two will be in trouble. Yeah. You offered that yesterday, though. You said I could.
Starting point is 01:14:50 You did say that. I said what? That you could go with the shoveler. I did? Yeah. Oh. Go ahead. Let me find out.
Starting point is 01:15:00 It's confusing. Mixed messages there. Go ahead. I don't care. Just don't let me find out. Well, keep it. Throw it in guys' face. Yeah, you don't need to go bragging about it, Jack.
Starting point is 01:15:20 Smarten up. Grow up. Jack. Kids. How was the show today? Great show. I'm glad we came here. Are you?
Starting point is 01:15:27 Yeah, you were saying, let's not work today. Jack, see, we can go from home. And you're like, we'll go from home. Like, let me just check with Jack. We'll probably just go from home. studio would be better. We would have totally mailed it in at home. Unlike this effort.
Starting point is 01:15:44 A little better. You just said it was a great show. Yes. Yeah. All right. Well, flames play a couple times. Yeah, there'll be two games. I'm telling you, go on Sunday.
Starting point is 01:15:57 Go on Sunday. Go on Sunday. Sure thing. Support charity. Go watch the flames. Take on the oilers. Take your kids. Like you say, four o'clock.
Starting point is 01:16:05 Double the butter on the popcorn. darn right love it darn right see you buddies
