Lovely people.
Matthew Lombardt.
Our guest today had a Shian show, right?
Isn't that?
He was like, dude.
He can't be.
Hey.
I understand.
You can try and hide that in your block.
Yeah, that's right.
We're on to you.
Welcome everyone to the program.
It's a presentation of Bet365,
official gaming partner of Barnberger.
It is game props, player props, totals, money line,
parlor. It would get into it.
You start looking around.
They're even doing homework for you.
Like Pinder was saying, you know, you look back here,
shots, how shots per game.
It's telling you all this, doing all the,
they were telling you McDavid at eight shots the game before last night.
Yes.
They told you.
You knew that.
paying attention.
You had another eight or ten or something.
Whatever your bet is, it's never ordinary at Bet365.
Download the app, get in on the game, must be 19 or older.
It's another day.
If you are in the YouTube live as we do the show, you can make a comment.
And if you put some money with it, we take the money and donate it to the U-Sanhas of Calgary.
And then we'll talk about your, you know, we'll put you on the show probably.
We're pretty good at remembering.
It's kind of like the YouTube helps because it shows up and it's highlighted.
Oh, yeah, right.
This donkey donated six bucks.
You better read it.
I don't,
if I get confused if I'm staring at comments and screens.
It's a lot to take in.
Yeah, it's a lot.
There's a lot of.
Less is more.
Yeah.
You see Rhett space?
I got to remove his phone.
He's filed for the days.
I would need modafanil or something.
Dadafiduffil.
Dadafiduffil.
Yeah.
Something like that.
Here on the McLeodlaw,
LLP Studios.
I forget what I was thinking.
I might need some McLeodlaw.
Uh-oh.
Are you all right?
I think it's okay.
Really?
Was this front yard?
No, it was something.
Where your neighbors?
I think you were injured.
You had a work injury.
That's what it was.
Oh, no.
That is correct.
My workplace injury.
Where's Peter Klein?
Yeah.
Clined dog, get after him.
And I don't know who to blame, Jack.
That'd be in his embrace.
Yeah.
Squeezed jer.
It's probably Jack, but you know who I would blame is Tyler Luke.
Am I wrong?
contributed to all of it.
Tyler, lawyer your ass up.
You know what?
This is why you don't need to determine the issue.
You take it to Peter Klein.
He'll get to the bottom of him.
Harbaugh's out of a gig.
My calf's all messed up.
Tire Loop.
Tyler Loop.
Lawyer up.
Son of a guy.
You prick.
Let's go to the insider hotline.
A presentation of Crystal Waters plumbing.
No messing around.
No messing around.
But don't.
It's a 10.20.
It's a 1028 show.
Crystal Waters plumbing.

Check them out at crystal clearcallegri.com.
Your furnace, your air conditioning,
you've got some water softer,
hot water tank, garage heaters.
If it's mechanical
and it's in, if it's
running your house and something
goes sideways, the first thing, crystal
waters, plumbing and heating.
We go to the insider hotline
and say,
bonjour to our RME,
Jamie McClendor. What's going on, noodles?
I wonder if you might just go speaker phone instead of the headset.
You're very quiet.
Levels are very little.
Is that better?
Yes.
Is that better?
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah, that'll be.
Now I'll be yelling and screaming here in the...
Oh, that's okay.
That's great.
No problem.
Luckily, you haven't said anything interesting yet, so no one, no one missed anything.
Oh, everybody's Christmas.
I guarantee you, you guys put in lists for presents then.
Is that what the problem is?
No.
I got a hat, and it was the...
The Buffalo Bill's emblem, beautiful hat, but it was kind of shaped like a chicken wing.
An orange.
And it looked like a hot wing.
Best gift I've ever got.
Unreal hat.
Best gift.
Was it a gag gift or not?
No.
I'm a huge Bill's dumb.
I know everybody's a huge Bill's fan.
I've got a chance to win this year.
And if they do win this weekend, OZempex's going to Denver.
Free parties.
Put it this way.
I chose them at the start of the year.
I'm not the biggest NFL guy.
I chose him of day one.
I said, I think the bills get it done this year.
I love Josh Allen.
And you know why I like Josh Allen?
Because he's humble.
He's not a loser that makes all these comments in the media and stuff.
When he signed his deal and he could have got more, he said, we're fine.
Our family's fine.
My wife, my kids, my kids, kids will be taken care of.
He didn't squeeze the organization for every penny.
I just, I love that guy.
I really do.
Yeah, he's not like Porex.
running his mother. Oh, jeez.
I mean, where are you guys at with this?
What do you mean? One guy here yelling trade him and we're like,
why y'all trade him because of his shitty play at the end of the game?
Yes, you did. That's right. You must have traded.
So, okay, do you want me to weigh in on it? You guys go for me.
It's bullshit. We don't really.
Well, we're on the play, not the comments. The comments are not. We've, I mean,
it's much ado about nothing. I don't know.
I agree. And he's 19.
and he actually plays with a guy who was 19 and played in Toronto and had that same type of swagger named Nazim Kadri.
True.
And, you know, like, if anything, you know, if the team's mad, you know, maybe they say, hey, just, you know, it's not as respect, you know, respectful or whatever.
I really didn't care that much.
I just think what do you do is you shine a light.
He was having some fun with a scrum.
He's 19.
And if people have a problem with it within the dress room, they say, hey, smarten up next time.
And that's it.
Like, no, nothing else.
Like, I don't think.
They shouldn't even say, they shouldn't be paying attention.
It's much like your Christmas list as an adult.
You just don't worry about it.
Like celebrating days?
Is that your thing?
Birthdays?
You what, put it to, no, I don't have, I don't accept gifts anyways.
But here, here's my thing.
Do you think Blake Coleman lost sleep over it?
No.
The guy should.
No.
Blake Coleman, you think he's telling his wife and kids, you know, I got to have a chat with this 19-year-old
when he gets back from the world, world junior.
No.
Wow. At the end of the day, you know, the kid is, is uber talented. He's got warped on his game, like every young kid that he's got to get out of his game. It's up to the flames to develop him. And, you know, he'll get that opportunity here. Hopefully when, you know, he gets back. I think is he joining the team in Montreal tonight? Yep. Yeah, he's there.
Okay. So we'll see how he plays. I mean, there are you guys out? Are they, they, they're in a race? Do you think they can make it? What are we doing?
I did the hot take with Boomer and Jack when you took the week off.
And I said, because they were right on the cuss.
Will they have at least one day where they wake up in a playoff position?
And then we were all like, yes.
And then they promptly lost back to back and are 30.
They're 30.
Yeah.
It's so tight, though.
I'm telling you, you have one good week.
Like, at one point, I believe it was it,
Last week when I was taking my time off, they were the fourth hottest team in the NHL.
They were unbelievable.
Since November, they've been.
Yeah.
Nothing quite like loosened in Nashville and Seattle.
They've been awesome.
Yes.
But at the end of the day, I still think Connie sticks with the plan, whatever the plan is.
They don't know what the plan.
This is the issue we have in Calgary.
And I don't even want to talk to you about Calgary because it's the same GD thing.
Nobody knows what the plan is.
They say one thing.
they do other there's no there's no
that's that I
I disagree it's the plastic bag in the wind
they know what they're doing they just don't
they don't need to let us know what
they're doing they're just going to do it
we're going to wake up and see something happen
I don't know I mean the proof
is in the pudding let me ask
you guys this if by March
6th
how different will that team look
hopefully
we want a significantly different
History would say not as different as we want.
Sorry, I'm stepping on you, but we all agree, and we're going to say the same thing.
We all think here, and this is for the goalie in you.
The one thing you can't not have is goaltending.
And if you have goaltending, you can build.
They have a goaltender.
So their fear of going into tank for a decade doesn't hold weight with me.
Right.
Because you have a goalie.
You can build out from him.
Yes.
And you're not.
your cupboards aren't completely bare.
And if you trade it, Coleman, you're going to get something in return.
If you trade Anderson, you're going to get something in return.
If you trade cadre, you're going to get good pieces in return.
This is not a, we have to start from scratch a new recipe book.
They have pieces in place.
Build it with the kids.
And here's the other thing, Rhett, that I'll, I agree with you 100%,
and I'll even throw a comment on top of that.
the assets that you get back potentially for those players that you named might be impactful
right away, just good young players that they get.
You might get prospects or you might get young NHL players that it might not be a massive drop
off from the players or where they're at.
Yes, Nazim Kadry is a really skilled guy.
I don't know if they end up moving him.
Keep in mind, I'd believe Nazim controls his own destiny, right?
A little bit.
I just got 10 or 13 games.
The point of it is, it's not who you move, it's that you do move guys and you.
You make those changes and you get assets in return.
You're not.
San Jose's better because they got a goaltender and clearly Celebrini,
but without the goaltender, they weren't as good.
Same, I think Knight in Chicago has been helped them out.
The guy in Anaheim has helped them out.
Who's still hurting?
Buffalo's still hurting.
And part of it's because of the goaltender.
And Ottawa is still finding its way.
And it's all because of goaltending.
I read a stat this morning that we're probably going to have on our broadcast tonight.
It's through MoneyPuck, which I don't know how trusted that analytic site is because I use sport logic a lot.
But, Pinder, you could probably talk to this.
The Ottawa Senators are number one in expected goals, number one.
But last place in expected goals, say, percent.
So that says it all right there, right?
This is a team, you know, the other night I watched them play.
I didn't do the game.
But the other night, they lost against Detroit, 5-3.
They out-chanced them 24 to 11, high-danger chances.
Yeah, didn't they have that goal to get pulled after eight shots, three goals or something?
Marilinan got pulled after his nine shots, three on nine.
Didn't have his goods.
I get it.
Everyone has an off-night.
I would come back.
Now, Utah tonight, they play tomorrow in Colorado.
Colorado's got to be pissed.
They've lost two in a row.
Yeah, they'll be sad.
And, you know, in a back-to-back situation,
but in the end, what I'm talking about is you're exactly right.
You build it from the net out.
Calgary's got a stud, a literal stud.
They're overplaying him again.
You might have a stud in Perak.
You know, you might have something there.
I think he's, uh, as a, the framework of something.
I'm trying to find comparables.
Does he not for me play a little bit like Evan Bouchard?
We don't have it seen that for two months.
Yeah, nobody wants.
Calgary noodles. Maybe say Carlson or something. Get us off the sentiment.
He doesn't skate as well as Eric Carlson. I'm sorry. He's straight-legged. He's got the
Forrest Gump's spilt on like Evan Bouchard. So I'm sorry. You guys could, I know we hate,
I know you hate Evanston, but I'm just saying it's a hell of a comparison if you have
an Evan Bouchard. Put it that way. That's right. Yeah, like we've talked about the Bouchard thing a lot.
He's an incredibly polarizing player. He's incredibly good at one end and incredibly
bad at the other and how you net those two things out person to person is very different.
So just back to Flames real quick, if they have a plan and you believe that Connie is going to
liquidate veterans and get younger players and they are actually on a rebuild and they don't want
to say it publicly, why would an organization put the president of hockey operations out there
and say the opposite? Like, is that not insulting your fan base? Why would you just not speak?
If you don't want people to know, just don't lie to them and don't talk. Yeah, I don't know.
don't, I honestly don't have those answers, but I, I'm bullish on Connie.
I'm bullish on, you know, and I want to give him, I think he's done a really good job.
Pinder, how many times have you pointed out how well he's drafted.
And, you know, I'm bullish on there being a plan there.
It just, whether they let us know or not, you're right.
If it's, whether you deem it disrespectful or not, I think we would all agree, probably
Donnie Maloney probably shouldn't have done that interview.
It's fair.
It's fair to say.
because it just if they're saying one thing and doing the other,
I think with Don, and I have a long history of going back to 1994 with Don Maloney,
he was my general manager of the Islanders.
Don is a good hockey guy, but I don't think he's the best communicator.
And so in front of a mic, he probably was trying to say one thing.
Rick and Bobby.
Well, Ricky Bobby.
Ricky Bobby.
I know what day is.
But the thing is, I remember Don't.
having a heart to heart with me one time. And I walked away from the conversation going,
I feel like I know what he's trying to say, but he didn't base it. He was trying to tell me I was
awful without telling me I was awful. It was, you know, opposite of Daryl Sutter.
Yes. Where Daryl, Daryl, like I say, you walk into Daryl's office. When you walk out,
you walk underneath the crack at the door. You're just go right up. You're Fred Flintstone.
So I think at the end of the day, I do believe that this team,
will look different, but again, I don't know what they're going to do.
And that's the proof is in the pudding, guys.
You've seen Ottawa, sorry, Montreal a lot.
The flames are in Montreal tonight.
What can you tell us what the haves are 10 games over 500, if I'm correct?
That's a tidy number right now.
Ultra skilled, and their skill is not afraid to make plays.
Almost to the point where on a partial breakway, they're looking for options.
It's weird.
I think Marty St. Louis has told those guys,
go relax and play and make plays.
And they do.
This Demadoff is the stud, stud, stud.
The guy who really turned the corner from me is Slav Koski.
I think he's realized how big of a man he is.
Right.
And how he can bully other people around.
So he goes and, you know, he's got tremendous chemistry with Suzuki and Caulfield
because he can go get the puck.
So, and the other thing I'll add into Montreal,
is some of their were called legacy players like Gallagher,
Josh Anderson, guys like that have played well this year.
So it hasn't been, you know, the other thing is knock on wood for them.
I know Kirby Doc has been heard, New Hook's been heard.
They've been relatively healthy considering what they've had, Patrick Line, obviously.
In past years, they've shut guys down and really bottomed out.
They're a lot more healthy.
And they had a goaltender controversy.
This Fowler Kib can play.
He's the young, Carrie Price.
He's good, good.
Montemball played well the other day.
I think they've got a three-headed monster there that they can at least trust, put it that way.
I don't know why I'm thinking about this because I don't really care,
but with Jari being hurt in Edmonton and a three-headed monster in Montreal,
is that a, can Edmonton approach that at all, or are they stuck with what they got?
No, I think Evanton's goal-pending is better than they were a month ago.
Because I think, I've told you guys this before.
I think Ingram's a really good goaltender that needed to step away from the game and take some personal time.
But if you look at a skill set, he's probably in the upper tier of skill set for goaltenders.
He's got a good butterfly moves really well.
He's only 28 years old.
And Jari, I believe, is an upgrade on Stuart Skinner from a stylistic standpoint.
So when they're healthy, I think by the deadline it's Jari.
Ingram, and if they can have Pickard as a three, that's a pretty good one, two, three there.
So is the three-headed monster in Montreal good enough to bring more assets back in return if they decided to move a Montembourg?
Like, we were talking about Team Canada for him.
I would worry, guys, I would worry about moving Montembow.
He's the only guy.
He played 62 games last year.
The other guys don't have any experience, and they're kids.
So would you trust 23 and 23 and 20?
20 year old to
Well, that's
that we played with.
He was pretty young and inexperienced when he
came along, so I don't know.
Who, Mika?
Yeah.
Yeah, but he was,
Mika was a superstar, but
he had two old goats kicking
beside him, myself, and Roman Turin.
So, like, there was
somewhat of a safety blanket there,
especially with Roman,
but, like, you know,
if there's no safety blanket, now of a sudden
it's a lot different when you're the
guy compared to, hey, where I'm having a nice stretch here. Keep in mind, that's a high
pressure market. I think it's all right for guys to struggle. Like Montemol is a good
goaltender that has struggled this year. We can't have your best year every year. I don't
think Montreal does anything with their goaltenders. I think they keep those three and you can
put Fowler and the miners without waivers. Do they, they still need a center. It's funny. Like,
as good as they've been, you talked about the record, like it's still Oliver Capitan as the number
two center. That's, exactly.
And he's had a great year. He's been good.
And they had to know, but he's
probably a 3C, not a 2C at this point.
And it's like, Doc can't stay healthy.
And when he does, he's not as good as a lot of teams.
Like, they're still shop for a center, you think, right?
I would think, I would still think that Craig Conroy's
on the call list
to see if Nazim Kadri,
you know, what it would take.
I would. If I'm
Montreal, why not? I mean,
Cadreys won. He's a bastard
to play against. And that's a good.
thing. I'm saying that's a great thing. He's highly skilled. He's competitive. I think there would be a lot of
teams that would be looking at Nas to add to the depth of their group. But again, what are you giving up?
That's the thing. They've got Reimbocker, the defenseman. I don't know if they would want to move him.
But in the end, you know, you've got to give to get. So they definitely, I think, I don't know where
they believe Doc is. Doc had a good start to the season. I like him as a player, but he can't
stay healthy. That's the biggest challenge.
ever.
Question for you.
You kind of talk about
like with the metrics and stuff.
Some of the analysis and the data
that is used is fairly new.
But I'm reading that we saw
maybe the worst goaltending performance
in history last night
as Jacob Markstrom allowed
nine on 24.
I guess just
because you're the goalie.
Have you seen, how many times
have you seen
guy stay in for nine. How many times
have you seen nine? That's what Patrick
Waugh walked back. And
Waus in the building, right? So
Wai is coaching the Islanders.
And so it's amazing
not. Patrick Waugh went over
and said, you know what he said,
trade me right, you know what now.
And I don't know
the layer of the story of why
he was kept in for nine. Maybe
Alan was sick or whatever, sometimes
or banged up. You don't
keep a starter in ever.
I have this belief, and it was since I was the goalie coach, the minute six, the number six arrives, it's check please.
If it's 6-1, not if it's 6-5.
Like if the game's close and it's just one of those 80-style shootouts, no problem.
But if it's 6-2, I don't like ever the potential of having a converted touchdown on my starter.
Ever.
Is he even the starter now?
like that's where I'm out with Jacob Marchmont.
I think if it was winning you're in last game of the season,
I think they're starting out of him.
Yeah, that's fair.
Based on his season, that's a fair argument, Pender.
I'm more just saying he's brought in there as a starter.
I think he's more.
I think it's a tandem situation,
but I just don't think you embarrass anybody
that you want to have confidence in ever past the number seven.
Like six for me,
I remember I'll tell a quick story.
When I was the goalie coach in Calgary,
And we had, I think it was the last game of the season.
We were in Vancouver and the Siddens, I think Henrik was going for the scoring race, the Art Ross.
And they rinsed us.
I think the game ended up like 7-1 or 6-something.
And I remember there was a between-the-legs move on the power play.
And Sadine scored on Tipper.
And I called down and said, get him out of there.
And they were like, just leave them in.
And I was like, no, get them out.
of there because it was a throwaway game for us.
It was the last game of the season.
Probably half the team was at the Roxy the night before.
Who knows?
But it was just one of those scenarios where I don't like a guy getting embarrassed like that.
So that nine really hurts my heart for Jacob because, you know, regardless of his season
in that, I love the guy personally and I got a lot of time for him.
And I just never, I don't think that's respectful to a goaltender ever to leave a
in there like that, ever.
There's got to be.
Because Sheldon
Keefe talked about it afterwards.
They outshot,
the devil's outshot the islanders
44-24.
Sorokin was unbelievable.
Sorokin, and that's the other thing.
So Patrick was in the building.
It's nine on 24.
Sorokin sets a franchise
record for shutouts at the other end.
So it's not just you gave up nine.
You then scored none.
So Keith just kind of said,
I felt like we were kind of right there.
We were out shooting.
We were getting a ton of chances.
We just weren't getting saves.
and then we come out in the second,
we keep Markey in there,
and then another couple go in.
It's like, well, we're just going to,
we're taking the loss.
It's just going to ride this thing out.
But I do wonder,
just the goalie doesn't necessarily see it that way.
They're getting.
I remember hearing a story where a goalie got pulled,
and he did the moonwalk to the bench.
This was in the H.L.
He did the moonwalk to the bench
because he was pissed at the coach.
And the goal going in was laughing.
It was just like, oh, my God, this is a circus.
But there was something involved like a nine or and ten involved.
And I just, I don't know New Jersey schedule.
Was it about the bad thing?
No.
They play in Pittsburgh tomorrow.
I don't get it.
Unless Jake Allen was, had the flu or sick, I'm sorry.
You take him out of six or seven just for respect for the goaltender.
That's how I feel.
Yeah.
didn't play the night before.
It's weird.
And I haven't watched the Sheldon Key Post, but to your point,
it just sounded like there was a good explanation.
Yeah, he said, I felt like offensively,
this is one of the best games we've had in a while in terms of chance.
Chance generation.
No chance.
Like torts where the fans were playing Columbus.
If I could, if I felt like if we just got that eighth goal,
the fourth goal really took the wind out of our sales.
There must be something, you know, to me,
there's something behind that story,
the scenes. That's what it is for me.
Because, you know, whether
Markey said to him, don't take me out,
I'm going to grind through, or
Sheldon was sending an FU to the
goalie. Who knows? But it just
the optics
are awful. I don't like it at all.
The other part is, too,
again, it's just the layers of it from
Markey's time being here and how
you know, kind of upset or offended he was
when trade, you know,
they came to him to waive the no trace.
If he got offended by that,
Look out. How do you feel being in there, like you say, getting rinsed for a nine spot?
And the Islanders noodles, your former team, they're loving life. Matthew Schaefer is electric.
They had, they just ran the devil's out of the building. What's going on there?
Well, this Schaefer is a player, man. Like, even watching him, I've watched him live twice now.
watched him against the Leaf
the other night.
Austin Matthews special night
and Schaefer goes,
hold my beer.
I'm going to put a Clintathon too.
And the kid's 18.
18.
I think the underwear I'm wearing
is older than that kid.
It's insane.
He is so good.
He's so good.
So less fools in his game
than your underwear too, hey?
Oh, no.
I do laundry every day.
I'm very clean.
So the islanders are really good and kind of out of nowhere,
but partly because of Sorokin and Schaefer.
What is going on with the team in Manitoba?
You know what?
I think it's one of those years where everything's gone wrong.
And, you know, you're not getting career years out of Shifley and Connor like they did last year.
Ellibuck, with the injury, he's at a tough time.
They weren't getting any.
That Eric Comrie against the Leafs the other day, they're up 4-1.
The Hattrick goal for Matthews, he might as well shot it in the net himself.
Because I didn't know what was going on with that goal.
He went to play it behind the net, and all of a sudden it was in front of the net.
I don't know what happened.
But I just feel bad for these guys.
But it might be one of those years where they just say, it's not our year.
They trade a few assets, and they retool and go right back at it next year like Boston did last.
year.
Yeah, it's 10 straight.
06 and 4 in their last 10.
To the point earlier, the good news for the Jets is that if there's ever a year to be
last, like it's never been closer to a playoff spot than this year.
Yeah, as well.
Like, if they're at, they lose nine or they win seven in a row, they're probably
rear back where they want.
I say sell.
Who they sell them?
Like, they've kind of locked up.
I don't even care if you sell.
Just don't win because I, I said it about Florida.
I just think that some of these teams that have been really good, and I think the Jets are
one of them. They've been well run.
I like their team.
I like their makeup.
Add another high end piece by having.
I was sorry to jump on.
You know what you can do?
This Halebuck injury?
We're going to play Calibuck.
You've played so much hockey.
You can rest him and you've got that injury to kind of, like you say,
if there's nothing to sell, you're definitely not adding.
Sell if you can.
You're winning by, I think they have their first rounder.
They do.
So if you can get in that bottom three and get a top three pick,
you are now again back at the top.
with a list as far as Stanley Cup favorites.
And think of this guys.
Kevin Shevoldeuf has done a great job drafting and developing there because they have
to.
It's not a market that has been a primo destination for free agents.
So, you know, Chevy has to draft and develop and keep his players.
He's been able to do that.
Keep in mind, there was a couple years ago, we all thought Helibuck and Shifely were out of
there.
They both committed long term.
So they've got their pieces.
It's just, it's one of those years where it's like, you know, yeah, we're missing Eilers.
He moved on.
Morrissey, I don't think, is having his best season.
You know, you look at it, they're just, you know.
They're in one.
I'm trying to, old Perfetti.
Perfetti, you know, that's a guy who's a good young player, but he hasn't been his best.
Adam Lowry missed what, two months?
Like, it's just one of those seasons where it's, I think if they just continue on with
osmosis and win some and lose some,
they won't make the playoffs and you can get a good pick.
You can trade some players at the deadline that are coveted
and you can retool and go right back at it next year
because I do think they have a framework of a good team.
Two things we'll get you out of here.
Number one, the Rob Ray updates.
We haven't spoken to you since.
And number two, the flames are in Montreal.
I remember the Shien Show hot dog.
You have a hot dog story.
So those two on the way out.
Okay.
Do you want me to move to a quieter place?
You're good.
You're good.
really making a lot of noise out here.
Okay, the Rob Ray update was that day the 23rd,
I didn't go to morning skate because my flight was delayed coming in.
And apparently Rob doesn't go to morning skates a lot anyway, so it's not a big deal.
So I messaged him when I got to the rink at like 5.30
because I saw him in the hallway and I said, hey, I'm in my room.
you know, pop by if you want to say, you know, want to have a chat.
It didn't pop by.
I had to do a sports standard hit at 6 o'clock.
And I came back from that and I saw him in the hallway.
And I walked down towards him and he walked away from me.
And I was like, okay, that's weird.
So I walked in behind him.
And I said, listen, I'm sorry.
He goes, Jamie, it's...
Now I look back.
He was acting, but he was like, it's fine, Jamie.
It's fine.
was like, well, I said, I feel bad.
Like, I feel bad. And I was trying to apologize.
And he was like, Jamie, just don't worry about it.
You do your thing. I'll do my thing.
And I was like, okay.
I thought it was a bit weird.
And then, so then, like, in between the benches, like, we're right beside each other.
And I was like, my wife calls me before the game.
And she goes, how did it go?
And I go, I don't know.
Like, I'm just fine.
But I, you know, I was like, I don't know.
Like I said, I don't think he's, I said, I think he's mad, like, you know, legitimately mad.
So then the whole game goes on.
Don't, you know, I don't talk to him.
He doesn't talk to me.
And with like about a minute and a half, two minutes left, the last TV time out,
I'm on my headset, like, talking to my producer, and I can feel his face like right here.
And I, like, turn, and he goes, you know, I've just been messing with you.
And I go, all right, well, like, but I'm, like, we can't have a conversation.
I'm working and he's working.
So then I, like, I tap him and we shake hands or whatever.
And then after the game, I think Buffalo won.
I'm trying to remember.
I think Buffalo won in overtime.
And I go into my office and he's in there.
And he, like, shakes my hand.
He goes, yeah, we were messing with you.
And I go, well, it's just a weird, like.
I don't know if this was Buffalo humor,
but it went on for like,
oh yeah,
it's like weeks, you know.
So it was like,
even that night I was like,
okay, like at some point,
somebody could have let me know,
but it was just like a weird,
it was fine.
So we just said,
have a good Christmas.
I gave my handshake and a hug.
And the weird thing is he said,
he goes,
yeah,
Ty Domi sent me the clip.
And I was like,
why is Ty Domi mad about me,
you know,
I was just like it was such a weird dynamic of all that.
That's Ty Domi's an asshole, hey James?
Just talk about Ty Domi.
He's got a huge hit,
I'm not saying anything negative about anybody.
Put it that way.
I don't need another guy chasing me around.
Anyways, it was a good,
we had a good conversation after and a good chuckle.
So it was nice to,
you know, catch up.
That's why the weirdest thing about all this,
I was like,
there is no way this guy could be mad about that common.
He's got such a dry,
sense of humor and he's a pretty funny guy and so then that's in the back of my mind i was like 80
sure that he was joking but not a hundred i think it dipped though i think you dip you dip from 80
at times it dipped to about 20% when i went and talked to him because i was like all right
that's weird but anyways uh you guys know i love rob so um and then what was the other thing you
asked me want dogs in montreal tonight so good
So when I was playing for the St. Louis Blues, you guys know that the backup goaltender sits across in the stands, basically.
So Shian Shodes, they're everywhere.
They're in the dressing room.
They're in the trainer's room and all that.
I don't know why, for some reason, in the second period, I had one in my glove.
And I was, like, eating it while we were watching the game.
I was like a paid spectator, right?
and Fierzy was playing, and I'm eating, you know, I'm eating it in my glove.
And after the second period, Mike Hitchin, the assistant coach, comes in and goes,
hey, Quinville wants to see her, Q wants to see her.
And I'm like, oh, okay, like, maybe they want my opinion on some, like,
Free Scout stuff, the power play, who knows, you know.
There was a camera from above that shot it for the broadcast,
and you could see the hot dog in my glove, and I was eating it.
So he showed me the video and he goes,
you enjoying your hot dog?
And I was like, you're kind of embarrassed.
I was like, yeah, they're pretty good.
And no joke, they had a box there and they were eating them themselves and they were laughing.
So, you know, Q was, here, nobody was mad, but they busted me, put it that way.
And then fast forward the next year, I started in Montreal.
And I'll never forget, fearsy, tassie.
me before the game and he goes, how do you feel, chum?
Or go, I'm all right.
He goes, good, because I've had four hot dogs.
So I'm not coming.
All right.
So, don't be it.
So that the players got to stay away from them until after the game.
Yes, and it's hard to do.
They're everywhere, like you said.
The crazy thing is they're a boiled hot dog.
It's the bun.
It's the bun.
The hot dogs aren't that good.
It's the bun.
I'll get you.
It'll get you.
All right.
See you, buddy.
Great having you back, Cal.
Happy new year.
Happy new year.
I'll see you next week.
Sounds good.
There you go.

He's the best.
He is the best.
Yeah.
And I do really enjoy how Rob played it.
Oh, yeah.
From our perspective, that's obviously what was happening,
but we're everywhere in noodles when he was getting asked about this.
And that little nagging piece in his head keeps growing.
He's saying 80% sure, it was not 80%.
Because we trade a text.
Like, yeah, whatever.
Do you think?
Gosh, like, I don't know.
I try texting him.
He hasn't texted me back.
Like, we know.
It's like he's, this is very good work by Rob.
Yeah, exactly.
And I, damn, you think about some of the.
video if you could have seen because you can you could visualize rob's face right beside him just
kind of stare at a whole it's like you know i'm talking with you i'm messing with you
noodles that's some of our finest work i really think that's where we're at our best some of our
best work great too bad he didn't take the bait on tidomi that could have us another six months did you
break a trade did you have some oh it was even big even bigger than a trade trade's come and go this is a
Jack, can we watch the, because we talked about it, we were going to get to it,
the Markstrom night last night.
Shots were 44, 24, 24.
Great trade.
New Jersey.
Get them out of here.
Hell yeah.
It's shaping up.
This was the night for the devil's end, Mr. Markstrom in Long Island.
Shaper for Pollack.
What time of shot a scar.
Gryon won.
So developing.
Show of a star.
Off of Poole Street.
Look at a break.
Here's two players.
He already got one.
He's got two.
The trace again.
Smarter on Sunday.
Weasel.
Got a shooting lane.
Doesn't want.
Anchor on Center.
He's the hot trick.
Barzell through Tropic.
Heavy Scream.
We shot by Merce and the fight for him.
And Flynn.
Welcome, Long Island.
We mentioned it was in a devil's jersey flowing on the ice yet.
But here is Sizekis.
from these stars.
Paper, got it back.
No, sir!
Two on one other way.
Here's DeClair with Sosikas.
He stars.
Ilya Sarkin's second in way.
Setting an all-time out.
Here's franchise record for shutouts with shutout number 26.
There's a lot of things that we did well that, you know,
led to us probably offensively in terms of chance generation,
the best game we've played in a really long time.
It's embarrassing.
And, you know, we want to apologize to, you know, the devil's fans.
And, you know, I got to be better and, you know, stop more pucks.
What's crazy?
Like, I guess a few things.
As I sit there last night and I'm putting that together.
It's like, I'll grab the goals.
And when you start to, one, two, three, four, but.
Jesus, six, seven, eight, I was missing a goal.
Like, I, like, where is this mystery?
Like, Cal Ritchie.
Richie, he scored.
I couldn't fight.
So missed one in that montage.
And I mean,
if we could do white more.
What the F is Keith talking about offense for?
You got ass kicked.
9-0-0.
You're telling me you're good offense.
Do you think that maybe the other team wasn't trying to crush it,
defense?
Like,
well,
and look,
your offense could keep playing great.
You're just switching your goalie.
It's not like you change the goalie.
You're going to stop playing well offensively if that's what you think you're doing.
That's what he,
I didn't put in there.
He said,
I felt.
We were getting a lot of chances.
I thought if we were going to break through.
So come back with Marky in the second,
and then we got down again with a couple more.
It's like, well, I guess not changing them after 20.
It's 3-0.
But like, you're in the room after 40 and it's what, six rip?
Like, come on.
You best have Marky right in your room as soon as the game's over is a sword.
That's on me.
That's.
And even then, I think the goal,
it'd be like, you can kiss my.
And if you,
you talk about Warner Whiteboard, that's three on twos, two on ones.
There's a lot of Islanders.
wide open.
Fire and Pucks.
It's a new building, the UBS
Sarita there, wasn't terribly
familiar with the horn, because, you know,
the good horn's a really central beat.
Got a good five for it.
Got it. It's a good horn.
A good horn. Ten horn.
I like Steve Levy, call.
Yeah.
Steve Levy did the, one of my favorites
was his goal,
the Jell and a goal in O.T.
Oh, the American's Detroit.
Yeah.
And he had bang with them.
The CBC call, obviously.
Jelina fires the puck in past Kudjo.
I just remember it because it was such a great call, and it's hard to find.
It was like, Jalena scores.
It's like, the Red Wings are done and the flames are moving on.
And it's so loud.
Yeah.
You talk about the horn.
And you can barely hear Pags like, doing it is holy jumping.
It would be.
The thing would be shake.
It's like, the red wings are done.
And it was just like, yeah, they got Kudjo and Net, the Red Wings.
All this all famous.
Just walking every one of them into the Hall of Fame.
The Red Wings are done and the flames are moving on.
It was a great call by Steve Lee.
Anyway, that was the Markstrom trade.
We don't need to get too far into it.
Looking good.
And it's two things.
It looks like a great trade.
It's a great trade for Conroy when people talk about Conroy's body o'er.
Yep.
And then one step further, should that not give the people at Saddle Dome Riseway,
some thought.
Hmm.
Well, again, Markstrom was, you know, had a year left.
That's a rare, that's an outlier.
Eat some money.
That's the one that we've been looking for.
Blake Coleman, one year left.
Yep.
Eat some money.
Don't even need to do with him, but yeah.
And the other thing it did too, it kind of the, is it allowed Wolf to move into playing
more.
It hasn't been close since Markstrom went to Jersey and Wolf started.
Like, he's been the better goal.
That makes it a little easier because if you have,
the reasonable facsimile for Coleman or Cadre would be like,
move him.
Yeah,
that's the only thing that isn't,
it's not like some.
And he was like strapping winger is going to benefit from Coleman's minutes being.
I'm telling you.
But it's just on topic,
but off topic,
the fact they have wolf changes everything.
I agree.
Because you don't have to go and gamble on a goalie or make a stab in the first round
on the goal of shit.
He turned out to be Croner.
Oh.
That's my line actually.
It was the month to do it.
No?
What?
You did it yesterday.
I know, but that's my thing.
Sorry, Brent.
It was a joke.
But you understand what I'm saying.
Take a stab first round.
You don't have to waste it.
Yeah, I think to your point,
if you looked at the 14 years,
Buffalo's missed the playoffs.
Beecher got a game for that kind of sucker punch.
You slutted in really subtly.
That was nice.
47.
It's true.
The fact that it will change
the whole dynamics for me.
Yeah, and there's two things.
People are saying you can't bottom up with a good goal.
It's like wrong.
Look at the standings from last year.
You had swimming in Ed Soros, Hellibuck today.
You know, the Islanders win the lottery, but that's what Sorokin, who just set the record last night for the franchise for shutouts.
But what it really means is long term, you're not looking at a Buffalo 14 years.
You're not looking at the Edmonton decade of darkness.
Like you've got one of the harder pieces to find.
You already have it.
That's one of the hardest.
If you're collecting cards, that's the Messier rookie card.
It might not be a Gretzky, but it's a redmondon.
but it's a really hard card to find.
And the return that they get is Ball
and the pick they use on Reshney.
I don't know that either one of them
were going to the Hall of Fame,
but Ball is...
He's going to be playing hockey for the players.
He's a big part of your team.
He's the best left shot defense on by a mile,
if we're being honest.
And Reschney is on track to play for the hockey team.
And had a really good world juniors
and is a center where they were devoid
of such players
before the draft this year.
If I ask you,
the top center and their sister,
was ahead of rushing.
I wanted to keep noodles longer and ask them.
Because I keep going back to, for me, it's important.
Waiting till the trade deadline sounds wonderful.
But your risk of injury increases and you don't have a chance to lose more points.
Get on with it.
I'm the one that always says you got to wait.
I think you're now in the window where you're probably close to getting what you're going to get.
Like barring a major injury to a right shot defenseman, the market's probably the market.
Now, the standings are really tight, but I don't know that it's stopping.
That's the saving, gracious.
It could be.
For you, if you approach it differently, you can be the only team saying,
come to us, where you're shopping, where you're all.
Absolutely selling this year.
I don't even know the Winnipeg's there.
Less sellers, more buyers.
Like, I think Vancouver's absolutely selling Keefer Sherwood,
but I don't know that they're going to sell a D man.
Nashville, we would have said our sellers.
They're on a heater.
Seattle is one of the hottest teams in the NHL.
They would have been a team trying to sell Alexiak and Larson,
right-shot defense.
I don't know that they're going to do that anymore.
I think the crickets.
Like you have A, the top defenseman on the market and B, who else is really for sure a seller?
Yeah.
What a statement you could make.
Come on, Craig.
Do it.
Because I agree with it.
Again, just to repeat your point, what, what potential gain, like improvement in return you might get between now and March.
Yeah.
I just don't think it's so significant that it's worth, if there's an offer right now that's in that ballpark.
You got to take it.
I feel like you got to do it.
And the way that you do that is like, okay, so the ask is apparently the equivalent of two first.
So maybe it's picks, maybe it's a player that was drafted or is valued as good as a first and a first, whatever it is.
You've got two first this year.
You got your own the following two years.
Keep collecting first the next three years.
And I think if you look at the way Craig's operated, he likes getting a player for now as well.
So like if Boston was going to make a deal, it's a first in someone like Mason Lurye, who's a 24-year-old left shot defensive.
huge, a lot of flaws, but there's some potential there.
That would be the type of deal.
It's like, okay, well, we got this offer here.
Let's compare the fellas, if you want Rasmus, you're going to have to beat this.
I'm going to make my call ahead of the Olympic break.
That's less than I'm out the way.
The other part of it is, too, that would be tough because you know there would be scenarios
where you've got maybe two or three that you think, well, these are good deals.
Yeah.
This is the closest one.
We could probably, we could do this today.
But Team X,
they may put this, you know, a certain player, they're like, oh man, if we could,
okay, well, let's just hang on and see maybe, because maybe if they lose a couple,
maybe they will throw that kid, that, that prospect in.
Oh, in terms of what Craig could get?
That's what I'm saying.
Yeah, if he's like, Jesus, I just got a call from so-and-so.
Right.
They're now going to include.
They may, they kind of dropped so-and-so's name.
We love that player.
Yeah.
And so, like, Hage would be the example of Montreal.
He looks like a phenomenal prospect.
He's a center.
They're like if Montreal wasn't quite ready to pull the trigger,
but circumstances arrived where they're like,
okay, we are good.
It is time to push chips or it's another injury to a center.
It's like, okay, Hage, we are going to, like that sort of situation.
And that is what the pressure of the deadline does.
Yeah.
But they're close.
I think teams want to get their shit done before the Olympic break.
I really do.
There's a lot of talk.
You are, buddy.
Our old pal, Frank Saravelli's been talking about it.
He seems to be of the belief that this gets done before an Olympic break.
And those are those trade freeze.
The roster freezes do.
It is another deadline that helps.
Yeah, it's a pressure point for sure.
Yeah.
I don't know what if you had any of the Anaheim Philly stuff.
Yes.
I heard you had it so.
I've left it alone.
Okay.
But I have it.
Jack knows what you have.
We talk a lot about how soft this game is.
This NHL that we watch is just so soft.
So soft.
The Philadelphia Flyers in Anaheim Docks played last night.
rewind, I guess, a couple of years ago, year and a half ago,
Cutter Goce, first rounder of the Flyers.
Just got out of nowhere.
He says, you know what?
I'm not for me.
Not texting you back, Danny Breer.
Appreciate, you know, you pick me, Philly, but that doesn't mean shit to me.
I'm not coming.
Yeah, I'm cuttergoche.
Well, we'd like to talk to you about it.
Nah, I'm good not talking.
No, no communication, not texting back the GM.
Well, okay, we're going to have to trade you.
Trade him for Drysdale.
Yeah.
Off he goes.
So there has been the return game for Cutter Goce in Philadelphia.
That's happened already.
That was last year.
Yeah.
And he got booed heavily and all of that.
Like Adam Fox and Calgary vibes.
Since then, Trevor Zegris was kind of run out of Anaheim.
They were kind of done with him.
And he goes to Philly and has rejuvenated his career.
He looks like a fine young player.
So a lot of emotion.
Zegris's first game against his former mates.
and once again, Cutter Goce back in the city of Brotherly Love.
Bye-bye hit, Bricks not getting out.
Very slowly.
Now, now the gloves are off.
No one takes to his offense as he goes after.
Chance in Arkansas through that hit.
Flyers will stick up for one of others.
There's no doubt about that.
Flubbed by Lacomte.
Terry does well to keep it alive, and it is Goethe.
Let's it go and scores.
I think he tried to get it back to Zeris.
It didn't work, but following up is Devorak.
DeVore got to Ziggins.
Trevor Zegress and Suskochi.
He scores against his former team.
It's time to want.
Biers get it right back.
Tippett.
Beryling in.
Tippett makes the move, swing, the circles hold.
But deflected back here.
The pass, the shot, and they scored.
Seekers again.
Have I seen that before?
Power play goal, 2-1, Philadelphia.
Fires are changing now.
aging now. Katerio will play it this way.
Oh, my huge hit by
Atholajer.
Johnson sees him.
Oh, yeah. That's a dirty play. That's as
dirty as it gets. Driesdale
had his head turned, so it's
Johnson's responsibility to avoid
him, but he's looking right at him, and then he
drills him.
That is terrible.
We'll play in.
Halfway with him. We're a lot to say
to Goce about that.
and Kate's not happy about it either.
Well, it's gamesmanship, but it is.
Boppel ramed it to by Goudis.
And then Hathaway destroys more and more is slow getting up
and Hathaway is jumped by Goudic.
Well, Attaway, we'll see if Gudis gets an instigation here.
He better as Goudis now some body punches.

It's going to be a penalty on Goudas.
And now they're going after Gabbin.
Good bacon, really not responding.
A team that might have given up on you, Trevor,
and you come in here, you plot two in that first period,
how good did that feel?
Fucking amazing.
Fucking amazing.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
It's that Hartnell.
That's the guy, Hartnell.
Doing the bench.
It was a good chat back and forth
because he just took the one quote.
But he basically said the Selly on the second goal
was that's how long the phone call was.
they told him he was traded.
You traded?
Click.
Thanks, Patrabeak.
Click.
And that's Papuaic.
Like that is,
uh,
and look,
he hosed them in the Drysdale's probably a good player.
Cutter Gocee is on pace for 40.
Yeah.
Like he's having a monster year in this Dexteroussurgents.
So there is a motion out there.
And in Philly of all places.
It was the best.
My brother,
my brother took his dumb dental buddies on this trip.
The Flames are on.
And he was at my house today.
And my kid asked, what?
Because he does this.
trip he's talking about what's the best
rink and where's
the fans the scare
Philly. Yeah. He's like we're in Philly
and we were
because they always wear the jersey.
Yeah, yeah.
Getting some eyeballs. This is dicey.
I think I've told this story before
it was
American Thanksgiving
afternoon game
and some may remember it.
Flames, flyers.
Pronger is a flyer.
and he's kind of standing in front of Kipper.
This was back when Sean Avery did the standing in front of,
so it was a hot topic.
You can't screen the goalie, that sort of way.
And he was holding his arms up to kind of block the Kipper's vision.
They score.
Crowd goes crazy, overtime winner.
No goal.
Penalty.
Avery penalty.
Like the place is like, holy shit.
Like they're coming unglued.
Prawner's up in arms.
He's in the box.
Power play.
I think Hussalia scores.
I mean,
juice.
Like,
holy cow.
We're on our way out.
And there's a mother and daughter
wearing flames jerseys.
And it's like,
also,
hey,
you guys are from Calh.
No,
we're from wherever,
but we just were big flames fans.
We want to see all the flames and all the barns.
I'm like,
yeah,
this is.
And there's guys like,
they're firing.
Get,
get out of here,
you dirty sea bombs.
Just the worst.
And again, they were hot because of how the game went.
They're hot anyway.
I don't think it matters.
What a town.
I mean, we've talked about the C-Bomb and the appropriate nature or inappropriate nature.
That's where you are.
They had no problem.
Just fired out of.
So Philly, Australia, and England.
That's right.
Get out of here, you, Dirk.
See you next Tuesday, friends.
Oh, my goodness.
Oh, that's one way to go at it.
Yeah, it's a good.
Yeah, Cutter Go-Jezes.
I mean, he's a stud.
Zegris is turning.
things around.
I still don't understand.
There are certain teams I
understand where I'm like, I'm not going there.
I don't agree with it.
Yeah.
But there are places.
I'm like, okay.
I don't know.
I don't understand how you don't want.
Yeah.
Because it's like to not text back
in NHL GM,
like what agent is advising you to do that?
And like what has happened to get to that point?
If it's just you being a Richard,
that's some heavy shit.
Feels like more than that.
It's got to be.
And it's not like, oh,
Kudder's going to come and say,
they did this in our negotiation that I are and then I heard that like we don't know the background but to not text back a guy of Danny Breyer's tracker. Everyone seems to think he's a wonderful guy. He's a great guy. People love being around like. Oh yeah. Have you ever heard anything bad said about Danny Breyer? Because at the time Toritz was the coach. He was like, well, that's long gone. He's, you may don't want to play for torts, but can you hang on for about eight months? Because he's probably going to be on his way out without that team, with how that guy rolls. Anyway, that was, that was the skid from.
from last night.
They're having a good year.
Bledar's been solid for them.
They,
they still need centers.
Like, there's a bunch of teams
other than they're like,
God,
they don't have enough centers,
but like,
that's a fun year in Philly.
They've kind of been
Calgary East out there for a long time
where they're never really that bad.
They haven't had a good playoff run
in what feels like ages.
They did get a high enough
to pitch Amishkov when he slide,
when he slid to five.
Yeah.
But, like,
that's a market that when that team's good,
it's better for the NHL.
because of nights like last night,
the building gets jumping.
Let's check in with Jack.
It's been a tough go.
Jack,
how's it going over there?
It is a tough go.
What's old?
Oh,
let's restart that.
Yeah, it's been tough today.
What's happening?
It's just tech issues.
Yeah.
This stupid computer I want to smash.
Yeah.
Do it.
So that computer is just for this monitor, right?
Yes.
Okay.
And that and then the other one is not?
No, everything's flying on the stream.
It's just that computer is bugging me.
And Ryan's texting me.
Can't see anything.
And on my end, you can see it.
So I don't know what it's.
It's weird, because on his computer,
it's actually showing the show.
And it literally is a corridor screen.
And there, it's not showing the show.
So Jack will have some tech IT support after the show.
You just need to leave him alone.
He's having a day, Ryan, just let him.
Yeah.
He thought the monitor was working, though.
So it's important to communicate that to your producer.
Like, this isn't working.
I see.
I don't know if it's important, but we've got it figured out, I think.
You get Ryan?
I'm great.
Well, yeah, that monitor still isn't working.
but we've got
he's got it on his screen.
And I was watching YouTube as 30 seconds behind.
Anyway, this is all very boring behind.
We're good.
We're good, Jackie Boy.
I had a game I wanted to play,
but I don't know if you're in the spirit.
Maybe we would do it after tomorrow.
Can't be tomorrow.
It's a Montreal thing.
Oh, well then let's let's do.
And again, the context of all this is we had no food Monday,
grumpy Tuesday, ate yesterday.
This is Jack's first time going through the cycle.
What are the expected roller coaster rides of the,
today. Don't eat Monday, grumpy Tuesday. What's Wednesday?
You should be flying. Should we fly in.
You shouldn't get up at four and a quarter.
I was that way to do. What are you doing? That's going on.
I went to bed surprisingly early and then I woke up at like three and I just couldn't go back
to sleep. You know what you do then? He's an old man. At three? You read a book.
I went to the gym. No. No, that won't put you back to bed. No.
Do we have that? That's where book reading. It's real good, Jack.
Do you have the graphics that were made for us?
Which one?
The book club?
Oh, yeah.
Because if you have it, I don't know how long it's it.
I know you got a book because I saw it all over the book.
You should read that book.
Well, let's, you know what?
Again, we don't have the graphic for this.
We were working on it.
But it was a little segment that I thought because they're in Montreal.
We were going to do it for the Christmas show.
It wasn't ready for the Christmas show.
It's still already.
Just looking off.
I thought what we could do because it's in Montreal, a little segment.
that I would like to call.
Parley Francais
a vect Jack.
We.
Jack is very,
you know,
multilingual.
He is?
Oh, no.
Absolutely.
You can't handle
one language,
not multi.
And we've kind of learned
over time
that
Jack's spelling
isn't the best.
No.
That's because he gets
confused because he's
He's just some new language.
Yeah.
He's like,
is this a German root
or a Latin root
or where does this work at?
So I have some
former Montreal Canadians.
And I just want Jack to kind of,
we'll put it up here.
No, no, yeah, that one there.
So who is this player, Jack?
Jacques Plont.
Very good.
Very good.
Never a doubt.
We'll move on.
Again, there's,
if there was graphics and stuff,
we'd have this all done ahead of time.
But we don't.
So we'll do it this way.
Who is this player?
Benoit
Brunette
It's close
Benoit Brunei
is who that is
Benoit Brune
There you go
Who is
Terrell Helman
Who's this fellow
Gaston
Gingras
Gingras
Close
Gaston Gingras
But yes
He was a
A former
A former
A former have
A chef
Yeah, great chef.
We'll go a little bit more classic.
Jean Rethel.
Gene.
Does it help to say it with that?
The accent's very good.
Jean.
Gene.
Nicknamed denim, right, Rhett?
Yeah.
Levi.
Jean.
Okay, next.
Stefan Ritcher.
It was a big glute.
Was he?
Yeah.
Hmm.
So one more, just one more time.
Stefan
Staphan
Ritcher
Yeah
Got it
And Jack was his brother
Yeah
Nailed it
In relation to John Beecher
No
Simone
Let Andres
Hey
You should have
You should have
Gim Lott
That would have been
The early
Would be good
Yeah
Gio would be good
Yeah
Very good
One more
One more
All right
Jack likes this
He's feeling good
A boy
Well
He's on a heater
How can you not?
nailing it.
I don't remember.
Obviously, he's French-Canadian.
I think he ended up playing for the Habs, but...
Oh, man.
Goaltender?
Jocelyn?
Sure.
Fibedal.
Excellent.
Parley, Frase, Evac, Jack.
Love it.
Thibed.
Thibed.
Yeah, that's, you got it.
I think even when we're not having a flames in Montreal game day,
there will be French game players on Tuesday
That's right
Yeah, game day exercise
Yeah, we could
Because we can parley francaéé
That's right
Jacques Jack
Yeah, the whole cement
That's right
Yeah, yeah
Toot leisure
Yeah, that's right
Toet lejeure
That's right, yeah
All right, it's Pinda report time
We do that for Village Honda
They've got the winter ready
SUV event on now
You watch your 4x4s
You watch your all-wheel drive vehicles
That's important
time of year in this city to see their inventory.
You can head right up to the Northwest Autumn Mall
or go online at village honda.com.
You start at Flames Nation where it is indeed a game day
and the flames of the roll for 2026, boys.
It's not been their year.
It's a tough year.
Yeah. And yeah, John Beecher,
after his one game suspension was served against Seattle,
now placed on IR with an upper body injury,
Wrette was calling him a faker,
he's faking it really well because he's week to week.
You were joking, though, when you did.
Sarcastic tone, I thought.
Yeah, just like my comment as well.
A lot of sarcastic here, I guess.
We got news.
It'll be an NHL debut, the 13th of Craig Conroy's tenure as GM.
Old Wild Billy Stromgren, the 6-foot-3-195-pound winger.
Lanky.
Yes.
And I believe Skateswell, having a near point-per-game season in the American League,
second rounder, famously taking in the same round as Logan Stancoven.
He will play in the NHL tonight against the Montreal, Kennedy Jan.
Go get him, kid.
Which we'll get to the lines in a moment.
We'll beg the question, where will he play?
But before we get there, let's take a closer look at the rematch of the 1986 and
1989 Stanley Cup finals.
It is two Canadian teams, a great jersey matchup.
It is flames and habs.
Both teams playing well in their last 10.
Both teams scoring enough in their last 10.
Some big wins in their last 10 for each.
Flames have beaten the Kings,
knights and oilers all in division.
Meanwhile, the habs have knocked off the raining
back-to-back cup champs, the top team in the Metro and Carolina.
And Dallas, who suddenly has found hard times.
I think they've got zero wins in their last four or five.
Top scores last 10.
Backlins a point per game over that stretch.
And Lane Hudson last year's called her winner,
stole it from Wolf with a sensational rookie year.
He has 14 points his last 10 games.
Second rounder.
Hudson.
Yeah.
Well, he's not big, eh?
they took three players before they took Hudson in that draft.
Slavkowski went one.
Okay.
And then there's,
yeah,
they,
well,
Messar was the Flames pick.
That was the Flames pick.
Yeah,
he,
there was a here.
Anyway,
it's not bad when you can,
you're so smart for getting that guy.
Were you also smart that you knew you could wait till,
like that the fourth player you select or?
It's one of those.
That just kind of work out for you.
They liked it more than,
anyone else. That's what we know.
Philip Mieser at 26, Owen Beck at 33
before finally getting Hudson at 62.
You know what? Just on this show and for our space that we work in,
very happy it wasn't the flames pick that was used to select Hudson.
Yeah, that would be.
They used that pick to trade for Noah Dobson, but right.
That was not a good trade.
Terrible move.
There are moves that should have been made and there were moves that shouldn't have been made.
got them. So you sent a first and a player to
another team. So you must have got something great back then.
Like a first and just the caps face team.
We got nothing back. It's just, just dumping him.
Even though we could have done that on an LTIR.
And then they actually took that player and traded him for a first.
Again, yeah. They didn't have to put a first with him.
Yeah. So they got two firsts for basically hanging out with Sean Monahan for two years.
That's the better way to do it.
If you're going to trade a player away, get something back.
as Jeff Gordon, Kent Hughes doing a very good job.
That's not our philosophy.
It's out of a little bit rise.
Odds of tonight's game.
Rightfully, the habs are favored at home.
10 games over 500, flames, two games under 500.
Okay.
Over under set for six even.
Opens you up for a push.
But we'll see.
It's been Wolf since ever, it seems like.
And with fact-to-backs.
with the addition of William Stromgren,
they're going to have to rejig these lines a bit.
Six in a row for Wolf, nine of the last ten.
And some guys in this league just play a lot.
Like I know Vasilevsky for the bulk of his career.
This year it's only, it's Saros and Shisterka.
Shasturka's hurt now, but the only two that have started more games.
Yeah, and there's sort of the philosophy of like,
what's the right number of games, and then there's a few outliers.
He's starting to look like the outlier that, like, play him 65 times,
which they probably.
not far off that place.
Bottom three.
Yeah, I mean, they're definitely still trying to make the playoffs.
I think if they ever wave away flag, don't tell me that.
Well, they're trying.
We'll be coaching.
I will fly to Montreal and headbuts him.
Huska?
You're going to head butt Huska?
No, it's not Huska's fault.
Correct.
My point is that I don't think.
The GM could tell Huska, uh-uh,
I need the goalie for a decade.
So not be boring, but yeah, the wheels played off them.
The other thing is it felt.
like it was a coolly start against Seattle,
but he was ill in the morning and that necessitated
the old insane emergency recall. He wore
the ball cap and worked the gate.
I'll get tomorrow off. Brett, I'm curious. Sorry
to jump in, but I,
little wrinkle. The Habs won
against Dallas the other night.
It was wrapped a five game road
trip. Last game.
So then that road trip
started at Christmas, but then there were two games
before Christmas. They were also on the road.
So road game, road game,
Christmas break, five game road trip.
they haven't been at home in weeks a month.
Is that even worse?
Or is the Christmas breaks to make it better?
I don't know.
I think they're happy to be home.
First home game since December 20th.
Really?
It's a stretch.
Are you saying it makes it worse for the flame?
Well, we just know first game back is hard for a team.
Like, this is first game back in.
Cool.
I think there's so much energy in that building.
Yeah.
I feel like it.
They played a barn burner on the flames half of the home and home.
The 2-1 overtime game.
Both the goalies are great.
I would like to say that I would choose the flames on Bet365, but I wouldn't.
You know what?
I appreciate your honesty.
I want to.
So let's try to put us William Stromgren in this forward group, shall we?
Let's look at the flames lines because he's going to have to play somewhere.
Hard to break up.
There's a lot of guys you can't move around.
Well, there's a lot of guys you can move, but it's just where and who's,
going to go to the rafters because that starts a whole other conversation, right?
Like you could put Zeri in the rafters for sure.
I think, you know, that would probably lead to some conversations tomorrow, would
or is it justified that he goes to the rafters?
You're not putting Coronado in there.
You're certainly, they haven't shown a want to put Huberto in the rafters.
You're certainly not doing anything with Coleman back on Coronado.
Ferbys played well.
Lombard Klapka, they are what they are.
Well, Klapka is not good enough to put.
play on the Olympic team. So screw it. That's true.
We're taking a bunch of Czech league guys instead of him.
See you later. You know, it could be
Zeri. It could be.
Didn't he score a couple goals of them? He is
playing well. And the coach went out of his way to say he didn't mind
Zerry against, I believe
it was Seattle. Maybe someone's sick.
Maybe someone's sick. I don't know.
Hey, Igor, you've got a tickle. Yeah. A what?
Coach, what is a tickle?
What is, oh, your voice.
Vitamin C, have a big sleep.
Could we eat some hot tea over here for our Yigor?
It's a, you don't sound very good, buddy.
Ooh, but I was interested in the hot dogs.
You're very, very pale.
We can't risk it, Igor.
You don't want to school.
Once the flu gets in the room.
Yeah.
You know what?
You're probably not even feeling it, but I sell.
And so what he is at this level, I don't know.
He was drafted as a guy that had a lot of tools.
You can skate well.
He's big.
He's putting up almost a point.
in the American League, but is he one of those guys
that if he is going to be an Aitcheller, has to
find a way to play on a fourth line? I don't know.
So I'm kind of curious to you where Husky uses him.
I'd be pissed if he said.
But you're not a for the new guy?
I worry about it. In Montreal.
Yeah. Let's take. Hubertel's not sitting in Montreal.
He's not sitting in Montreal. He's not sitting in Montreal.
Yeah. They got to showcase Cadry.
Codry's been cool a little bit here.
Yeah. His production has cooled off.
Just trade some guys. And guess what?
if they traded some guys,
he could put him where to that?
One point.
One in his last seven for a nozzle.
You know,
the spot that would look really nice for him
and be on a back in line,
but we kind of got Coronado and Coleman.
We can't break that out.
You can move.
Yeah, you could move Coronado off there.
Yeah.
And then it's probably the best place for him.
Yeah, and then maybe you put Coronado
in the Zeri hole and sure.
Yep.
The defense,
there might be a question too, because I don't know
that the flames want to be.
Could I interrupt you just once a second?
Because.
What?
Zeri's a young kid still
kind of, yeah,
we want him to be.
Huberto's a veteran, yeah, okay.
Who's better to help the team?
At this point, I'll even know.
But we are way okay.
Do we go to the lines back up?
We are way okay with, throw Zari out,
get him out of there.
And I get it.
There's one reason
Huberto's not going to the ratches.
It's because it's paid too much,
which is exactly the opposite of what it should be.
Yeah, and we're not talking about what we would
do so we're trying to guess what huskies.
No, but this is the trend of the league and with coaching.
It's just 10 and a half a year.
Actually is stupid.
It's actually stupid.
Well, he makes too much.
We can't sit him.
Now, it is as,
well,
if you want to send a message to Jonathan Hubertoe,
hey,
we're in Montreal.
Sit your ass.
I don't like it.
But like,
right?
I'm just saying that I'm not,
I'm not serious to play.
I'm not making that safe.
I'm just,
we're looking at the line and we're going,
well,
we can't sit him because he makes him.
And that guy makes him, well, we can't fall back to the same guys that aren't doing any worse or any better than anyone else.
But you're easier to sit is what it comes down.
To your point, if you really want to get Jonathan Huberto's cage rattled,
there isn't a place to sit him in the league.
Then you're one stop in Montreal that would rattle it more.
And I'm not saying he deserves that necessarily.
But if we're having a tough time saying if he or Conorzerry is a better player right now, we understand it's a rough year.
He's on pace for, what, 47 and a half points?
Yeah.
Oh, God.
I feel bad for him.
Well, sure, I feel bad for him, but probably better is a solution.
What would you have to give up to trade him?
Everything.
Yeah.
The keys to the team.
That's, Jack, why would you put that back up?
I were depressed.
I mean, we saw it the first time.
You didn't need to put it back up again.
You got to bring us down with you?
Well, and he's going to bring us down even more because I'm going to ask him to put up the D.
And they've got Hunter Bristevich, who's played very well since coming up.
And now Zane Perrek on the right side.
so I don't know who's coming in.
Same practice.
Baha'all played his
well this is last game.
I like Pahall.
Paul's not bad players.
A good right shot there,
pair guys.
How do we not know the lines?
It's Montreal.
Christ's sakes it goes they're already in bed having a nap.
We know who's playing,
don't we?
What kind of?
Where's the worst?
They've had some smoked meat there.
Chicken parm at the hotel was so good.
Really?
Oh, oh, pre-game me.
Oh, unbelievable.
What have you made of Cousnets off?
I like him.
Here's the thing.
Go back a week when they were playing well.
It did feel like when he came in, it solidified things to a certain extent.
I didn't even realize Bahaul had sat out for nine or ten straight.
I like Bahaul's game.
But again, it goes back to he's an easy guy to sit.
It is.
And you know what?
He's put himself in a spot because he is so rambunctious.
when he's playing well, the minute he's not,
it's like, oh, but Paul hasn't been as good.
Because, you know, comes back in, he's running guys,
and he's flying around.
Then when you stop playing at that kind of level,
and it is hard, so he can sit, I don't know, I think.
But yeah, because Nets off, I was just curious what you saw,
because I agree with you, it's just,
he's got some points and that's whatever,
but just got to quiet and solid.
My whole take on the whole team in general is Zaris shouldn't come out
because he's a kid that you might want,
to develop and play.
And maybe that's the way of getting more out of them is to send a message.
And when I look at the decor,
I think that you've heard my comments of my take on Perak.
But if you're going to turn him into something,
go play him.
And the problem is you can say Tigo Yonkers Netzov,
but like,
for Steppach and Perec are righties.
You're not playing a rookie on their offside.
I disagree with you to a certain extent.
Move someone else to the,
yeah.
So Weiger has played the left of time.
They could do that.
They just didn't do it.
the full month and a half they had Perak here.
They never did it once.
I don't get it.
And meanwhile, you got Miro in the top four.
Sometimes there's stubbornness and stupidity.
Do I?
I've been in a coach's room where they're talking about things,
and I was not high enough on the food chain to offer my opinion,
and actually sat there and said,
you're idiots in my head.
I'm like, so you can't play that guy because he doesn't,
you don't, this guy won't sit on the one-timer.
You can't play, run your power play.
the way you want to run your power play
because the guy that needs to take the one-timer
doesn't want to take one-timers and you know,
what?
Coralysis by analysis.
What?
Well, he doesn't like taking one-timers.
So he doesn't want to be the top score.
This is the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
Go in the dressing room and tell you're taking one-timers.
And if you don't like it, get the out of here.
Yeah.
We have practice ice every day.
Yeah.
You can go and work on that shot.
Like my, oh, I don't like, what?
there's so yes paralysis by analysis is the thing if you wanted to get both the rookies in for
stevich and per rec it's not incredibly difficult you put weger on the left side and you pull out
hanley and behall who are veterans who are steady but who are not stars it wasn't it brodie had to
play in his offs off wing yeah they're just going to i like playing he and jureg there's a few guys
that that love it and are good at it but for most it feels like coaches don't want to do it's
the 50-100-150 philosophy.
The 50-1-50 philosophy. The 50 IQ sees things very simply.
They're not smart. They don't overthink it. They can't. They don't have the capacity,
the brain power to do it. 50, not smart.
Nope.
100.
But clear.
Okay.
They have a, this doesn't make sense.
So they have a clarity of thought.
Right.
The 100, very smart, but can get bogged down.
Smarter than the 50 IQ-wise, but get bogged down, go, oh, I'll, we'll get two.
and can't get to.
They don't have clarity.
They don't have clarity.
And then the 150 comes along and goes, yeah, the 50's right.
You guys are ready.
You're over thinking.
It's clearly this.
But he reads through all that the 100s is thinking and comes up with the best plan,
which is allowing him to have clarity as well.
Could you give us the 150 lineup for tonight's game on the blue lines?
Well, give me the players again because I see it's in the guys' name.
It's your 150.
I'm, I follow the 100.
I'm full of ideas.
Very smart.
I'm an idea guy.
We probably don't need to see it again, do we?
I'm asking him for his 150 line.
He doesn't have to see it, but he would put Wiger on the left or the other side,
and I would play Perek with him.
Preck and Wigger.
And I don't give a shit what you're doing to bottom.
I would move Kuznetsov down and not play handling.
How about Wiger Brestevich, because Netsov, Perak?
And then you've kind of got the steady guys.
I'll see.
Now you're just doing the 100 thing right there.
I'm pissing.
you off. It's all good. We'll keep moving. Here's the look at the schedule.
It's a back-to-back that starts tonight in Montreal.
We go to Boston. After that, they got a matinee against Dan the Man, Muse, and
Jacks. I love Dan the Man. News. Then it's a stop in Columbus
on Tuesday in Chicago to close the road to the road. Don't we have a Muse in our
organization?
Mears. Player. Player.
Who's that?
Don't we have a Meary? What's his name? You have a Mesa.
If we have a Muse.
I thought we had a.
M-E-W-H.
Oh, Henry Muse.
Hank.
Hank.
Yeah.
Good right shot defense.
And more ready.
His brothers.
Yeah.
Cousins.
Yeah.
Got to be really.
There's different spelling somewhere along the line.
50, 100, 150.
Got it.
That was a 150 anecdote, wasn't it?
It was really good.
Montreal, quick look at them.
They don't have great center depth, but they are a very good team.
God, you feel like Kent would get on this.
They're smart.
They know what they're doing.
They are missing a lot of guys that can't play center.
Kirby Doc, New Hook.
Worried about that kid.
Yeah, he's healthy.
Dono they added, he's definitely a good third line center.
He wanted out L.A.
He got out L.A.?
That Oliver Capon, you were kind of talking about it.
He's Swedish center.
He's having a good year.
He's called her eligible.
So, you know, he's just a kid.
He's got 22 points in 42 games,
has been playing with Slavkovsky and Demadov.
And noodles talk to.
Slavkovsky. I didn't, like, I knew it was big.
He also talked about Demadov.
6, 3, 2.25.
Is he a unit. Pal.
Yeah, old Bill Stonkin, it's just a scrawny
little prick compared to him. That's right.
And he is going to the Olympics
to play for whatever country that is.
Yeah. Portless.
Slow, slow check you.
Fortland. Slovakia.
Pola. Slow checkia.
12 points in his last eight games.
He is, he's feeling it.
I know in 91, they can play second line
center that right now today is
than Oliver Cappin.
Same number.
Yeah.
You'd probably give him a nice little gift.
That's the problem.
How do you like 92?
How do you like 92?
Because Caponin has told Kent that there's no effing way.
I'm getting rid of my number.
Not doing it.
Trade me right now.
Blue line will take a peek.
Damado of leading league and rookie scoring.
Yes.
But not anywhere near a call to favor because of what Matheson,
or Schaefer, excuse me, is doing on Long Island.
Here's your blue line, Matheson, Dobbson, Top Per Hudson,
and carry, oh, sorry, Jack, right side of the second pair.
Alexander Carrier.
Get that.
Now, why thigh?
Gouly, that's part of this?
Gouly.
He's heard as injured again.
He's been heard a lot, too.
And Line A is heard as well.
He's been heard a lot.
I think that's a benefit.
Evans heard as well.
Reimbacher, Josh Anderson.
Question.
Anderson just got, he's missed a couple.
But yeah, Gouley has missed every game.
He's played five games.
all year.
Just 20,
20 minute guy for them.
What I'm getting at is what
Noodles was saying is that they've got a plethora
of defensemen and they
I'm,
listen,
50, 100,
150,
chess,
checkers,
this is chess.
Well,
you know what?
Bryce Pickford's coming along and I'm,
you know what I bring up this kid's name all the time.
They are already stacked with D.
Go get that the Pickford kid.
Well,
and you know what else?
Because just kind of looking at it.
Yeah.
They were, it was even, they had Logan Mayew, if you remember.
They grabbed him.
It's like, geez, so we've got Hudson, Hudson that the guest is going to be a player.
Holy crap.
Cair, bats, googly, all these guys.
Then they trade Mayu for a Bull Duke, which has been a pretty good trade for them.
And they, of course.
That's the thing when we start talking about the flames, like, all these right guys and how are you going to, you can trade guys.
Oh, 100%.
Like you could collect good players.
So they trade, oh, well, Noah Dobson.
We can't do a Noah Dobson trade because we've got too many.
Well, no, get the.
better player.
Yeah.
Get the young stud.
Trade me you.
And then trade me you and get a good forward.
Boldig's been good there.
Yeah.
They also have Reimbacher who they picked ahead of Mishko.
That's not going to look great.
But it doesn't mean Ryanbacker can't be a good at each other.
Yeah.
There's just whatever.
I'm just, yeah.
Very good system.
This is probably one of the top.
You just have to admit to yourself that you're willing to move some assets to
do some top three pipeline in the league.
Second of the Atlantic.
This is a team that could push chips.
That Dobs and trade was a big grab your nuts and get them a twist.
Two firsts.
Paid him nine and a half million times eight
and an extension immediately before he played again.
Let's probably do a ransom response.
Again, you go, look at their decor.
You don't think that that's like,
if Brian Bacher's coming along and these other guys,
like it doesn't feel like it's a,
we have to go get a defense.
No,
it feels like the new center.
And Hage is probably only a year away.
And they look at us,
oh, we've drafted enough guys.
We've got,
we've used draft picks.
Let's use our draft picks in a different way.
Smart bastard.
I agree.
Susan Gorton.
man. If you look at the Jeff Gordon ran
the Bruins for like six months and what they
accomplished in that window was incredible. The draft
and I think it was the Chara signing as a free agent
and it completely changed a franchise
that should have been reeling from that. I don't
give them any credit for the Charter thing.
Everyone offered, I'm
sure. It was more of a mistake on
Ottawa side. Everyone else who didn't get them for sure.
It was way better. This is the best free agent signing maybe
in history of the league. The Reinebacker
pick doesn't look
great right now. And
Why?
They traded a first.
They traded a first and third for Kirby Doc.
He'd probably like that one back.
But outside of that, they've done tremendous work.
And I don't even mind the stab at the doc because Doc was a top five.
And what do they need?
A centerman, well, if this kid, it's the Bennett scenario.
Whereas if Bennett had been great in Calgary, you've got your stackings.
Yeah.
It's just he's been hurt.
This is one of the smartest front offices in the league.
And they have one of the top pipelines in the league.
and they're 10 games over, and if they want to push chips,
they have all the assets to make the deals happen.
Interesting to hear noodles talk about Fowler that way.
Jacob Fowler.
Well, and it's not a three-headed monster in the sense
you have three goalies they're playing.
Well, they have three guys that could be good at NHR goalies,
and Dobish looked like the man in the fall.
Montable looked like the guy last year.
Fowler is the best guy they got now.
One of them's going to have to emerge as a one,
because they all kind of look like young guys
that might be a number one, but no one's really grabbed it.
Fowler to this point, three, two and two in two on the year,
but a 2.57 and a 903.
Did he not say good, good?
Like, good and good.
Yeah, that's as highest praise.
Yeah, it's not really exaggerated.
I don't know that it's a Hall of Fame.
Oh, you're calling him a liar now.
Well, if he has a curly carry price, I'll leave my hat.
It's high praise for sure.
That's, you know, multiple goals for Canada.
That's pretty damn good.
That's easy.
Is it?
What about taking the Habs to the finals?
That's hard.
That's the harder one.
But the winning Canadian gold with the squad was hard.
It's certainly in Sochi for sure.
Okay.
Stanings bought them.
Let's look.
Habs aren't there this year.
lived down there for a while.
They rebuilt properly.
Let's look at some teams in the bottom 10 of the NHL and see if they know how to rebuild
properly.
Winnipeg, tough, tough.
Their 10th loss in a row last night, they got to overtime against Vegas and lost there.
Vancouver.
Quinn Hughes has ruined two franchises, by the way.
Because the devil's reeling and the Canucks reeling.
Not Minnesota, which is good news for Quinn.
They're doing great.
Calgary 3rd from the bottom.
Chicago.
Who's looking at Jersey going, no.
Chicago's in action tonight.
Nashville's been better.
St. Louis, just okay.
500 is a fraud, by the way.
Like, we used to think 500 is respectable.
These are the bottom seven teams in the league.
They're all in the West.
They're all in the West.
Fellas.
Fellows.
Like, Connie, you only have a week to get this sorted out.
Didn't we say yesterday that by the end of this road trip, was it?
Yeah, that's when we get clarity.
We were going to know.
When they get back, yeah, after that Chicago game,
by the time they get home.
and we'll know.
I want to text him right.
Start?
Just texting.
He's hammered.
It's in Montreal.
He's hung over here.
Yeah.
He's doing one of those buffet lunches at the Peeler Jones.
Oh, they're a great deal.
Buy it, Dan.
Steak at the rip joints, is that ever, is that a good call?
Oh, yeah.
High and steak.
Hi on me.
Let's keep moving.
Steak at eggs.
Oh, yeah.
Hey, you want to get excited?
Uh-huh.
Let's take a peek at the Flames's new home in a year and a half.
Oh.
It's coming quick.
and we got some cool video.
Jack, do you know who this is courtesy of?
It's one of the reporters.
It's Pike. Pike has been sitting on a perch.
Pike doesn't have a drone left.
But there's the old barn, which, boy, it was state of the art back in 1986.
No, it was.
I hope they have a permit for this drone footage, because he can get thrown in the clink.
A lot of structural steel, as Pike calls it going up.
This is going to be the, it's going to make the hippo tank look like the second best
rink in Alberta boys. That's all the matters.
Okay. All right.
Coming along.
It's all the things. I'm going to see the circle there.
Yeah. And they've got a practice rink attached to it.
Oh, they're so wealthy.
God, isn't that nice of us to buy a rink for the owner?
I'm happy to contribute.
So good.
We don't need water as long as this rink looks good.
That's right. Yeah.
Let's keep moving. Last night's finals.
We'll get to it.
A lot of action.
Holy. I know. Sabers.
They'd snap that, what, nine-game winning streak?
They're back to winning again.
I think it was 11.
Was it 11?
They'd won in there?
I thought it was 9.
Sabers have won 11 to 12. Wow.
Told you.
Excellent.
Canucks fourth straight loss.
That's your team.
And six of seven.
I'm riding and dying with the savers this year.
And the lightning hand, the abs a second straight loss we alluded to earlier.
That'll be a growly.
The Florida flex.
That's what that's called, Dean.
Tampa is suddenly top team in the east and building a cushion.
Eight straight.
Who!
You know who's having a season there that's blowing your mind.
point per game defenseman and in late 20s
Darren Radish
Doug loves Radich
you put some salt on there?
I don't necessarily
I'm not but if you do put some salt
Did I see Hagel hit 20 goals already last night
Hegel's been doing it for a few years now
like I think we used over a point per game last year
if I'm correct?
Kutrovs on a tear again
He's got a seven game multi point
like they are doing this without
Edmund
they are doing this without some key parts
it's been impressive it's not quite the damage
that Florida's taken to their roster with injuries.
They lose in Toronto last night.
The Least Quietly have been on a role.
Matthews looks possessed right now.
Oilers.
You know what?
Again, 50, 100, 150.
I'm at the 150 because I've done a lot of research to figure off this clarity.
The East looks good.
Yeah, they might not have the true power.
I was like Colorado, but all these teams look solid.
And if you look at the bottom of the standings,
it feels like there's a lot of Western League teams.
So this is where Montreal is at.
You can see they're third in the Atlantic by points, second by points percentage.
They're right in the mix for home ice round one.
That's the opponent tonight.
And yeah, and the teams on the outside, they actually look pretty damn good.
Buffalo would be in based on points percentage.
Washington's a really good team.
They would get bumped out based on points percentage.
Dan the man, Mews and Jack's penguins are in the mix.
Panthers are lurking.
Leifs are lurking.
Yeah, Leif's 5'0 and 2 in their last 7.
Dan have done forever.
No.
Didn't they say he was going for?
Well, he just came back from IR and got hurt again.
I feel for the guy.
No, I feel for the guy.
The guy's got, I said it about pospical.
This is the same thing for TANF.
Yeah.
You're getting all the money anyway.
You've got the bag.
Don't kill your body.
No.
Well, and kill it.
You've killed it already.
Well, don't kill it more.
Yes.
Like, let's not get beyond repair here.
Yeah.
And if there was a way you could know he could be 100 for the playoffs or something.
and put them on ice, but you're just saying to shut her down.
I'm saying, shut it down.
Yeah.
Tree, thank you.
You've made me very wealthy.
Tree should respond in, thank you.
You have given everything and more of what you can.
Do you want a position on the organization?
Because we're going to take whatever.
So you're not stepping on the ice for the Leafs again or the NHL.
We talked about the two historic performances in the Islanders Devils games last night.
It was Markstrom's worst start by a goalie since we've been keeping track of data.
It was also a record setting shutout for Shasturkin, our story, Sorokin.
But the real record breaker, Anthony Duclair had one of those Sam Gagne games.
He's the second player in NHL history to have natural hatrick, five or more points, plus six or better, since Wayne did it in 1981 when Jack was, like, dead for 10 years.
Are you dead?
Very dead.
I was dead then too, believe it or not.
Really? I was born in September
that year.
He was dead.
I thought Anthony did I thought Anthony
I better not say that.
I thought Anthony Declare's career was dead.
I didn't even know he was playing.
Yeah, there you are.
The Duke.
Duke. Duke.
I love the Duke.
Utah's going to have an outdoor game.
They haven't announced it.
That's important.
But when the commissioner goes to Salt Lake City
and they're having a press conference at a football stadium.
Jackie Redmond's there.
We know what you're doing.
The owners are there.
The Lakers are stadium.
I don't want to see a Jackie work.
No, Jack, if this was a French name, how would you say that stadium?
Oh, my God.
I'm kidding.
He asked that Jack is the he has what he has to read something.
Oh, my day, Ryan.
The Sydney Crosby is a GD legend.
He is a theoretical Mount Rushmore player in the sport.
He is a Canadian icon.
He is a god of the sport.
So much so that people are now trying to get engaged in front of Sidney Cross.
Oh, wow.
He's leaving some sort of a hockey facility.
And as he's driving by, we have a proposal witnessed by Sidney Cross.
I like how he's looking at Sid too.
He's like, Sid, are you seeing this?
We're going to get it done, bud.
Do we think that the car is moving?
Is he stopped?
If it's moving, that's really sad.
If Sid stopped and rolled down the window, I feel better.
There's no proof of that, Sid.
No, it's the internet.
It's got to be true, right?
It's all the internet.
Sid is so classy.
I wish he played for Montreal because they always have the,
classy retirees, you know what I mean?
Like the guys have played there, the Bellevote, like.
Yeah, he's that guy.
Yeah.
He is.
It's a good call.
Tonight's action, we'll take a peek, not as busy as last night.
By the way, I didn't mention the Diddy Bowl.
It was the Oilers and.
Pea Diddy?
Yeah, it was the Predators against the Oilers.
See how to Jay?
Why?
Why is it that?
The ditty ball.
Who are the teams?
Oil.
Oil.
And the other is the.
Okay.
Thanks.
Tonight's games.
That's cheek.
I feel bad that I had to ask, but I saw that on the internet.
It's like, I don't really understand what it is.
Stars are hurting.
They've lost a bunch in a row here.
You're in Washington.
Coleman.
03 and 3.
Jim.
O'3 and 3.
3 in their last 6.
Ottinger 5 on 15.
Jim.
That's not Markstrom numbers.
It's getting there.
It's on pace.
Yeah.
Snoo more rubber.
Blues and Hawks.
Good old Norse Division
matchup there.
Well, we're,
if you have the hockey god's attention
for a moment, three point game.
Three points.
Three points.
Three points.
Three points.
Sends, they've been leaking a bit of oil.
They're in Utah.
Can we do our game?
Yeah, and then Sharks and Kings.
Let's go.
Do you know?
Oh, boy.
Uh, shoot.
Capital Stars.
If you guys have one at the other games, jump out.
Jacob Chickren Bull.
Guy that played for both teams.
Jacob Chickren played for the coyotes and the Sins.
So then it's kind of greasy because it's Utah, but I'll do it.
Who?
Chikrin.
Okay, sure.
Yeah.
sneaky one, but yes.
Tony Granato, Kings and, uh...
Ooh, I like that.
Sharks.
Okay.
Who played for both the Hawks and the Blues?
A Sutter?
Did it one of the...
I'm out playing this.
Sutter, yeah, probably.
I think Daryl was coached both teams.
I mean,
not Darrell and coach.
We'll call it the
Stars and caps, stars and caps, stars and caps, stars and caps.
You can move on.
Tyler's Foley Bowl for the Flames, obviously.
Rennie Bork Bowl.
Mike Camillary Bowl.
Yeah, of course.
A lot of Tuesday.
Dallas, Washington.
Erskine.
John Herskin Bowl.
That's a pole.
See, he's good at this.
It's a good game.
It's a terrible game. It's not a bad game.
It's a good game for you to play at homebuyers.
Did Steve Chase-on play for the Blues and the Hawks?
No.
Yeah.
Chason? I only remember him.
Detroit.
I mean, it's at Central District.
Carolina.
Yeah.
Who's a blue and a hawk?
Tough guys.
Blue and a hawk.
Did Jim, did Jim Campbell play for Chicago?
Jim Cummins?
Oh, did he play?
Yeah.
No.
I didn't play at St. Louis.
Oh, that's a tough one.
Jack.
Reed Simpson.
Confidence level?
100%.
Perfect.
We can move on then.
Thank you, Rhett.
Peter Forrestberg.
No.
If the chat has any St. Louis,
Chicago, Puck doke doke's suggestions, we'll take them now.
Thanks for playing.
I like the game.
I kind of like it.
We don't need to spend too much time on it.
But I think in a lot of ways, there again,
Again, kind of like if we have the right attitude.
Yeah.
It can be fun.
Was Kelly Rudy Sharks and Kings?
Yes.
Good call.
Nicely done, Jack.
I was reading about him the other day.
Kelly Rudy.
Yeah.
You were reading.
Yeah, I was this.
Called that, Joel.
Great.
Do we have that graphic or no?
What?
The reading one?
Yeah, I can get it.
Okay.
You know what?
You don't need to, Jack.
Okay.
I don't know how hard.
You've done a lot today.
He really has.
We're going to make it easy for you.
Those are tonight's games.
NFL will go day by day.
It's a huge.
weekend. Huge.
Yeah. Saturday games.
Rams, Panthers, the line, 10 and a half.
I have a major update for you guys after that.
This line between the Bears and Packers continues to swing.
Yesterday was Bears minus one.
Now it's Packers minus one.
What is happening? Dino.
Money's just flying in.
Oh. Yeah.
Okay.
If I'm getting a point with the Bears, I'm a happy man.
Are we going?
Soldier Field.
Carry on, Ray.
Sunday games, we've got three.
We'll take a peek at Zos.
Bills favored by one on the road.
Was it one and a half yesterday?
I feel like that's much so.
Still four and a half for the Eagles at home.
Chargers plus three and a half in New England.
I think that's where it was yesterday.
And the Monday nighter, we have another live stream.
I have booked a spare.
Nice.
Good for you.
For curling next Monday because I'm a big Texans guy.
I've always really liked the Texans.
Tall,
And, uh, they're a 10.
You know, I just, when they, when they got that, that team moved decades ago, their hearts were hurt and they came back with one of the greatest names ever.
I don't know where they came up with the idea to call the Houston team the Texans, but I've been a big fan ever since.
Let's pool our money and go on all big on Seattle.
You know, the Steelers.
The text, the logo, the name.
Logo's good.
Looks like the state.
Beautiful stuff.
They, they, it would mean, very well done.
And you see where the eye is, Jack?
What's that?
That's a lone star, Jack.
Star.
Is that where Houston's looking?
Everything's in there.
Like, it's all there if you want.
It's almost as good as the Minnesota wild logo.
There's so much going on.
It's too much that one.
The color scheme is horrible.
I don't mind the logo.
Steelers getting three at home.
Will this game stay within a field goal?
That is the question.
If you are deciding,
whether to bet on this.
Foss will never miss.
Only if it's an extra point.
Yeah.
Yeah, he's good for that.
Yeah, it looks like a field goal kind of a game,
hey, Jack?
It is.
It's going to be.
Low scoring field goals.
So this morning I woke up.
Yep.
How about that?
And I don't like to get straight onto my phone, right?
No, you don't.
It's bad for your eyes and your brain.
Wait.
Morgan Riley or Panarin.
This has nothing to do with my story.
You have a big development.
My kid just text Morgan Riley or Panarin.
What do you guys say?
For what?
Fantasy dog.
Panarian.
Panerian.
Learn how to spell kid.
Anyway, this morning I woke up and eventually I took up.
And eventually I turned on my phone.
That wasn't what was on your phone.
That was the most.
And, yeah, I got a text for my good pal.
Want to go to Denver next weekend?
My lie.
And I replied, pardon.
That's red ease for, are you being serious?
You pardon?
You pardon?
You're fooling with me?
You're joking with me?
No, we're going for the football game.
You want to come?
And then in my head, I'm like, I'm texting.
I said,
Is that who the bills play after they beat the Jags?
And he goes, I don't watch football, so I don't know.
Then I went to the schedule, looked at it, and it 100% is.
So I'll have my sweet ass in a seat in the mile high city.
Unless the charges be the pictures, then they're all good.
No, the Broncos are the one seat.
That's my point.
The charges will be the low.
The bills win.
When they go to the one seat, they're the seventh seat.
Oh, I thought the charge of the seats.
He always wants to argue.
Even when it's a good thing, it's like, you just want to.
Jack, Jack, is New England not the two seed?
Yeah, they are.
And the Chargers are playing the two seed, which we got to say,
I hear you.
So if the Chargers win, they will go to Denver.
Well, I thought the bills were the seven.
It's not a bracket.
They reseed each round.
Ryan's right.
Ryan's right.
Read the seeds.
NFL bracket.
Read the seeds for the Chargers and the bills.
Bills are six.
You're right.
Sorry, Ryan.
Jack, how was the show today?
You're going to fly in a.
Denver to watch the Chargers and Broncos.
There is that plan.
Either way.
The Chargers aren't winning.
I just don't want you to spend all this money.
You have a Denver and Denver and then show up in your bills blue.
Yeah, what a larger story for you to go, what a idiot.
Look at him.
He's in Denver.
I'm trying to help you.
I know what?
I know what?
He's cheering Ravens touchdowns.
The first thing that goes through his mind when he hears about your great news and how
excited you are is to try and find a negative.
Here's the positive.
Here's the positive.
The charges are not winning in New England this weekend.
So the bills will be.
Rats going to Denver.
There you all.
Yeah, that does feel like it's.
Sorry for this story.
I'm excited for your trip.
Yeah, who's the loser?
These guys have so much dough.
I won't have to pay for anything.
It's got to get there.
Let's go to more NFL news.
The unthinkable has happened.
John Harbaugh is parting ways with the Ravens.
In fact, he was fired.
This wasn't a mutual.
I want to, it's a, you're out.
Wow.
That's because John was committed to that organization and he said.
He had, uh, eight.
Is my fault this loser rookie missed the field goal?
180 plus 180 wins like 113 or 111 loss is like very good record.
13 and 11 in the postseason.
That's pretty damn good.
One Super Bowl.
They've had a tough goal of late with some incredibly painful finishes.
You think about the drop pass by Mark Anders at the goal one that would have beat the bills last year.
You'd think it would miss field goal.
Tyler Liu.
last week. They've had some heartbreak
the last few years. He becomes
immediately the top coaching Canada
available. And all those teams, the other
six that need coaches are not named
the Ravens. They had all these interviews lined up.
Harba jumps to the front of all. Who,
where's he'll? Giants.
See, this is one of those things where, on
one hand, 18 years,
this and that, they haven't been
got it. Yeah, you move on.
Things have a shelf life. On the
flip side, this does feel to
me like the start of a downturn for the ravens.
Well, again, and football's there, I think you can, sorry, NHL coaches, I think you can fill
void and come out with similar records in the NHL.
Who are you going to get that's going to improve?
So if you're a Lamar.
So who's at the top of the list after you fire Harbaugh?
You're in that locker room and then the new guy comes in.
Who's going to have the gravitas and the vivatose and the.
of John Harrow.
Like this guy is no John Harbaugh.
No, he is not.
So just to put this into context, 18 seasons,
they just moved to 17 game seasons.
So typically it's a 16 game season.
His average record, 10 and 6 every year.
That's better than 9 and 7, Jack.
Better than 9 and 8 too.
But you just like, I don't care because I don't like the Ravens.
But it's, it feels like a mistake.
Because when we talk loud, because we were kind of joking,
it's like, oh, I want, because if the Steelers lose,
it's Tom on this, and so Rogers.
And I had kind of said, well, what on the other side?
There's talk about, like Harbaugh, what's going on?
Is Lamar over the, like, is he past his prime?
We definitely know that Henry is.
It feels like this higher is going to be about Lamar.
Ooh, man, this is, uh, get ready, Baltimore.
Your team's going to, he's going to stink.
Your kickers no good already.
We know that.
Eight road wins in the playoffs.
Eight road wins in the playoffs.
That's, uh, impressive stuff.
Let's go to some dumb stuff, shall we, Jack?
We're better.
that.
Let's do it.
We're in the 50.
I don't know about that.
Yeah, you're in the 50.
Pretty on point.
Got a moose written down.
What does that have to do?
Oh, that's not dumb.
That's that?
Friar moose?
No, uh, Stamps moose.
Yeah.
Oh, I'm sorry.
This is Stamps news.
That's right.
I thought you said it was sad news.
No, we got done stuff later.
This is tough.
This guy had an incredible rookie year.
Anthony Alford.
Weird situation.
He transferred schools late in his collegiate career.
There's some years earlier.
He's not catching the ball.
But look at all these skills.
He's running like a 4-4-40 and he's 6-6.
Monster rookie year, signs a deal,
100 grand U.S. guaranteed with the Saints,
and if he gets an opportunity,
don't bet against his talent.
Speedy, huge, great receivers.
Great for the guy, tough for the stamps.
They've lost three guys to the NFL.
You know who's running things over there?
They'll be just fine.
They're very good.
Stamps are quality.
I was hoping I could wear my Moose T-shirt next year at McMahon.
I still can.
I have a still camping.
It's the year of the horse.
You're the horse.
It's the year of the horse.
So money done yesterday.
You're the horse.
Finally, we showed you some bills tailgating that went wrong yesterday.
All right.
So you tell me, is this wrong or right?
Or is this a...
That person was a 50.
This is...
The table's much closer than the last one.
And this is Nana, so you've got to make it a little closer.
I don't know about this.
Long, grandma.
Oh, no.
Look at the concern.
And rushing in to help.
Not all at once, everyone.
Not all at once.
So I'm, my, nowadays you have to put yourself through the AI filter.
I'm like 90% this is real.
Is that too high?
It might be.
Yeah, maybe, but I'm, because I'm with you.
Um, we'll never know.
We just have to guess.
Now, look at the name bar.
What is that?
Yeah.
That's a.
I.
I.
Right?
All boom.
Let's see it again.
The toque and the name bar.
All I can go back to is who the F is wasting their time to do this.
Guys like Jack in Buffalo.
That's too.
Buffalo Jacks are doing this.
Yeah, these guys are Buffalo.
You know what?
And you can see her arms there when she kind of braces herself right near her before she goes ass over.
Taking all the fun out of it anyway.
It's okay.
They're going to break down.
And then.
A little more.
Look at the table.
It's got a bow in it.
What would be the strategy
if this was a real life situation?
And Nana says to you, like your mother-in-law,
who you love and you're sad to see.
I'm going to jump off of a tailgate
and through a table because I want to be part of the
Go bills.
Well, you know what?
That lady that just left my house and is my mother-in-law,
she was at the first ever Ralph Wilson.
Oh, really?
Game in the Ralph.
So she probably went through a couple tables.
Well, she's got to go to the first game of the new one next year.
Wow, God.
Got it.
Yeah.
Like a small number.
Can you keep your feet out and go bum first?
I can't decide.
Like the bum, you've got no cushioning and you could really hurt a tailbone.
I don't actually mind this approach on the knees because you can get your hands down.
But I don't know if you can break through.
You got to go up and down, though.
The table bend.
I learned that in Chicago.
It's important not to go forward up and down.
Yeah.
Because you've got to have momentum coming down to get through that.
You see the table now, right?
I thought that was just a...
You watch the hands on the table bend.
Yeah.
AI.
Yeah, but wouldn't you push it there?
Not that much.
This table's made out of pancakes.
That great.
I'll tell you, honestly, AI.
It's getting scared.
Did you not see Elon today's comments?
The singularity is here.
End of 20206.
God knows what's going to.
To the point where you could say it was Elon saying it,
but it might just be AI.
We'll never know.
Do you guys remember we were playing the Will Smith?
Yeah, Trinity.
Yeah.
How long ago was that?
Not long.
18 months?
where he was eating spaghetti or something.
It was like gross.
He's like that's right.
This is AI.
I'll tell you, there are some places where AI is pretty darn good.
Real quality stuff.
There's some AI stuff.
It's like I might.
Well, he was up till four.
Prefer that to.
Got the VR goggles yet or no?
I had that.
David, the hockey sense arena.
My kids were playing.
They'd be right in the Florida Panthers dressing room.
Imagine the places you could go.
That's your Pender report today.
I thought I want to.
We got one more video, Ryan.
Oh, it would do me a fire away.
I thought.
Oh, yeah, this is good.
I thought of this.
I thought of Jack.
I thought of Buffalo and I thought of a Rett.
Thought about me.
And I thought of the boomers hating us when we do this without him one day.
This is a moving van or it's a eye with a back.
No, that's a tailgate for sure.
Now look at the license plate.
Do we think this is AI?
It's got to be AI.
See all these videos are ruined life.
We now don't know what's real and what's not.
Good luck you're having to Markers.
That's definitely not allowed, but.
Why?
That would be a trailer they take to the, to tailgate.
I believe that, but you can just do this on the highway?
Well, they have the drinking bikes.
I guess.
How is this?
The pedal pub?
Well, so you can drink in a limo.
No seat belts.
I get them.
No seat belts in the belt.
I don't think they're supposed to have the tail, the back end open.
The gate probably should be closed.
And what happens at the end here?
Is he like driving onto the side?
It just turns out a bearing into drunk fast.
Change lands,
drink over to double lines.
See you later.
Although there's things out.
Yeah.
Oh, that's a hard tier.
Yeah.
Lots of hard beers.
Yeah.
If you're looking for that vehicle,
they're probably not going to be able to help you at Village Honda,
but if it's a used SUV,
something for winter in Calgary.
Somebody pull it.
Over 90 units.
Like,
something to pull that.
Over 500 in the dealer group,
VillageHonda.com or the Northwest Automala,
your dealers should find live.
I got so much waxed there.
Oh, yeah.
He's a waxy guy, isn't he?
Yeah, very waxy.
Wax on, wax all.
Bet 365, let's do some bets.
Yeah.
Bet 365 game props, player props, totals,
money line.
We have football this weekend.
No Thursday night or right?
Nope.
No, obviously.
That's close.
Saturday, Sunday, Monday.
Let's go.
Monday live stream.
if you miss the last one, don't miss this.
Did they have Esso minor hockey in the bet 365?
I don't have to be wound up for that.
Not for U-11.
I didn't see it could be though.
Just wait.
Whatever the moment, it's never ordinary at bet three, six, five.
You're looking to throw some games or what?
You got to throw the first one.
There's a little first one and we win the next one.
We're in the semis.
That's a small bracket.
I don't know.
I don't get the coach.
This is just my mind working.
A couple games tonight.
Blackhawks, they're playing pissed,
and it sounds like Bedard's close.
There's no confirmation that I've seen yet that he's incident or not,
but I still like him over the blues anyway,
who have been soiling themselves this season.
And the shark's getting a goal and a half is almost even money.
Kings can win.
That's fine.
Camper's been good.
Camper's been very good.
Celebrini last night almost got us the parlor.
He had the four shots.
He only had one point.
11 game point streak,
21 points in the 11 games for celebration.
Can you change that Chicago, St. Louis bet to a three-pointer somehow?
A tie.
Yeah, okay.
You won't play over.
We can in extra time.
Yeah, you can have regulation.
Yeah.
We'll again go to overtime.
Let me find that.
Sure you can.
Because we might as well.
If you want it,
standings as well.
The three point game is crucial and it's really,
that's a good idea to absolutely hammer that.
We're welcome.
Let's see, winning margin to do so,
the high school period.
Tide after regulation.
Yes, plus 280.
Sure.
Locked in.
What do you call that?
You're trying to manifest?
Yeah.
You're trying to manifest it by putting your money down.
Good luck, Ryan.
Thank you.
We did get the over on that.
Yes, you did.
Nashville, Edmonton.
If your team screws me over.
My team.
Is that your team that's playing if they win?
The Chargers win, they'll go to Denver.
If your team screws me over, you're in line for a real.
There is another wrinkle to it.
Obviously, you don't want.
Oh, don't say it.
That is wrong with you.
Trying to manifest that.
Oh, I'm not.
Just,
you're a big Baltimore fan now?
I will say this.
I will say this.
Jack.
I will say,
I can be around this ass.
Let's go for,
there are two things that could happen for that game not to take place.
The Chargers could win.
I want the bills to win the Super Bowl this year.
If they don't,
they might get John Harbaugh.
Have you thought of that?
Especially if they don't win this week before someone else,
hires him. If I'm John Harbaugh, I'm not signing
shit. You're doing this weekend. Chess
not checkers. That is 150.
That's $1.50. That's $1.50. Is it worth
throwing this year's playoffs to get yourself,
you've been moaning about McDermott for two, three, four
years? But I could go to Denver.
You can do both. I don't want to go to Denver and not
watch the bills. Watch the fucking charges.
Then pretend the bracket you saw it was real.
Forget everything I told you say about the charges going there.
All day.
Chew on that little nugget.
I won't be able to sleep now.
There's no way he's right anywhere
of a Buffalo 3 a.m.
hitting the gym.
We'll call Jack.
We'll go to his partners.
They'll spot him.
I would leave Jack alone today.
It's just nothing's...
Ease and safe.
Foods, sleep, something.
Let's do the super chat.
We'll get him and all of us out of here today.
Super.
This stuff's going.
Youth centers of Calgary will benefit
from what looks like three
super chats today.
Phyllis!
$5 from Milk
Tobo clean or toss
soiled boxers that's
older than Perrek, just another chat dunk.
Yeah, this is a reference to the noodles comment.
Yeah. So if you had soiled boxers that were over 19 years
of age, are you trying to clean them or you just throw on them out?
That's a hard stuff for me.
Well, I mean, to what degree are they soiled?
Well, they're 19 years old or more.
So what? That's veteran.
That's veteran. I've been married for 20 and I'm not
just compare your wife to a pair of old undies
there's a time with jack there but we'll go there
did she watch any of this ever like does any of it ever get back to her
the odd trouble like the shoveler because she went to the school
and the lady at the front desk was like oh you're the shoveling
and the what
oh billy hold on oh billy hold on oh billy
i just broke up two geysers trying to fight at my pickup game
luckily none of the
Unks were injured
and had a couple cookies on the game
There's a lot of slang there, Bill.
There's a lot there, yeah.
That's what the youngs are calling the olds now, Unk?
I thought that was short for drunks.
No, I think it's uncles, like old people.
Do you want to hear a funny story about Uncle Stu?
Yes, so I text my...
Oh, this is what happened.
The Steelers one.
And so the only other person I know that's as big
of Steelers fan is Jack is my uncle.
Darrow, right cheek,
sneaks, husband.
And so I text my aunt,
Darrell's, and we started talking,
and then I remembered something about
my grandma
and my aunt had talked
at her funeral.
Asked her something about it. She goes,
you know what's funny.
Well, grandma was passing away. We were all sitting
in the room, last breath kind of stuff.
She goes, stew, stew.
Stu, hold her. Yes,
Mum.
Stu, you can change your name now.
I never liked that.
What?
Yeah.
Go on with a blast.
That's good.
Now you can change it.
Never like that, babe.
God love you, Stu.
God love Stu and.
Gladys.
Gladys as well.
What a lady.
She could burger.
And you did kind of connect the dots
right there on the right cheek sneak.
Like, I used to, you'd be like,
I can't say that.
So Uncle Daryl's wife is that she's.
brother stew and that's really kind of a roadmap right to who it is jack cut there's one more is one more
hopefully uh benoit brunay i still have his stick from the nineteen eighty five air canada cup gold
medal game he stayed with our family during that tournament damn i'm old f i'm old not damn f i're
first it's benoit brentett but yeah yeah jack would you call him gun brad new gun
BB.
BB gun.
Gun?
Gunner?
If he can shoot it a bit, that helps to.
You guys are so...
I like it.
I like it a lot.
Easier for me, Rhett.
Jack?
Jack's just calling him Benoit.
I think that'd be a good news thing, too.
And I'll throw one of these in
because I'm guessing the $5.55.
Probably is by design there.
Just because we were a little shy on the super chat.
It's three of them today.
So what time is our game?
What time are we?
doing this. 530. Well, that's weird. Lay habs and lay flames. Oh, and two,
haven't won in the calendar year, the first game of a five game trip. We mentioned it there
for the, for the habs. They've been on the road for a long time. First game back.
Think what, how anxious those fans are to get back in that building and cheer on their beloved
habs. All the energy, Rhett. Let's do this. Just by facial expression,
if I were to ask,
how do you think the flames will fare tonight against Montreal?
Just, just, I'm a professional poker player.
It's a rep first full screen.
Okay.
That's overtime, by the way.
Okay, all right.
So now Ryan.
Okay, not a lot of confidence there.
So I'm kind of hopeful.
Love the glasses.
Oh, that's bad.
That's really bad.
That's either halves by six or the flames by short.
Oh, yeah, they didn't pull wolf and they should have.
See, mine was a, I was upset because the flames won.
I see.
And yours was a, that's a lot of goals from the habs.
Come on, that was a, come on, Huska.
Yeah, this, it's kind of a, uh, because you're right.
I feel like the, oh, boy, they haven't been at first game back.
I think that will be very happy to be back at home in front of the crowd.
The crowd will be jacked up.
Just beat Dallas at the end of a road.
Think about December 20.
That was like the day after we did the drinking show.
Those fans will be wound up.
It's a long time to not see your hat.
No holiday games? Come on.
All right.
Thoughts tonight.
Last year, we were at a pub for this game.
Yeah, we were.
And it was the, they're down late.
Wolf's trying to keep them in this thing.
Coronado ties at late, wins it in overtime.
Earlier this year, we had the 1-1 game.
Both goalies great.
Wolf exceptional, Matheson wins it in overtime.
Yeah.
I'm going to go ahead and hit that tied after regulation thing.
And that was my fix.
No, I don't want any points.
I know.
But I see what it is.
It's not what we want to have.
We'll be back tomorrow to react
and then tee up another game day.
Oh!
So many games.
Should we tell the people that it's not a 10 o'clock start or?
No, you know what?
Here's the thing.
I'm going to be better.
Well, it wasn't you.
It was an idiot over there today.
Well, he had a tough tech day.
That just happens.
He was idiot.
Did you see his face?
Oh.
Jack.
It's okay.
Joke.
Jack.
Joke. Jack.
Jokes.
Just relax.
Locker room.
humor.
So yeah, busy time for these flames.
Bruins tomorrow.
Well, they've only got a week.
Yeah, they've got to figure this up next days, 10 days.
Good authority by the end of next week.
Yeah.
Clarity.
It's true.
Jack.
Cloud a time.
How was a show?
You guys are great.
Rough one for me.
You know what?
You bet.
I don't know if I'm.
That's professional for this fasting thing.
I think it just screwed me completely.
He's waking up in the middle of the night.
It's just hammering nicotine pouches like it's food.
not good
Dean how'd you do?
Uh
okay
good
it was okay
it was fine
just so you know
you're okay is like an eight
we got a very tough grader on yourself
we seem you know what it was
because we got in
and we were
noodles right away
and then the head falls
I wasn't talking about
I was talking about your fasting
and then
you know what I will jump in next week
yes
but we got to do a Tuesday
because we have the Monday
and I watch
yes it will be a Tuesday
Stay fat.
We're going to crush it Monday.
So after,
can we order to parogis at midnight here?
Does that count?
I'll try for, yeah.
Although, seeing how it worked for Jack,
maybe we should do shows at home.
I slept great.
I felt good.
I didn't.
I got up and went to the couch and read a book.
And tomorrow we can do Jack's book club.
We can just be ready tomorrow.
Because I'm sure he'll spend a lot of his time today.
Jack's starting a book club.
people so DM them if you want to join yeah we'll have the link in the chat tomorrow but uh brand new
thing you can be a part of jack's book club you may think jack got right enough three months ago i'm way
behind you'd be surprised yeah we'll see you buddy
