Hey, buddies, how are we doing?
On a Tuesday, the Tuesday edition of the Barnburner podcast, it's, it's Boomer, it's Pinder.
And it's, uh, top shelf himself.
Top shelf, top shelf.
Brett Warner.
Top show.
Well, Jack was all pissed off yesterday.
Like, can we put something on these in walls?
Like I'm tired of this green screen looks like it's terrible.
So Jack has gone and hung up some stuff.
Rocky's moved over there.
Rock.
How could you rock?
We got the top shelf.
And we got Flames Nation T.
Is that kind of on a hanger or?
Sort of.
It's kind of on it.
It's definitely sort of on a hanger.
Yeah.
Jack, great job.
Great job, Jack.
Now, have you ever thought about a career in interior design or maybe?
No, I haven't, but I think I should.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You know what it does is it doesn't look like somebody just threw some shit up.
It doesn't look janky.
That's for sure.
It looks well thought.
Professional for sure.
Yeah.
I don't think he's in any mood for your shit.
No, it doesn't seem like it.
He's off.
No.
He's pissed off over there.
Panthers lost.
They'll bounce back.
It'll be okay.
I know you're mad about the golf.
Me too.
I can't.
Jacks are billions of dollars.
Yeah.
Stay true to the PGA old Jack attack.
Now they've turned his back on you.
This is quite something that's transpired.
Rhett, are you somehow in on this?
Have you jumped over to live?
I would have jumped immediately and sooner than anyone else if they'd have come to me.
And there would have been no questions asked about my moral take on things.
Yeah, today would be a non-issue for you.
Well, I got the money.
Hey, this is great.
Good to see you guys again.
I'm so stirred up about a major.
Did you guys get your money?
Yeah.
How are you?
Good to see you.
Will me to loan you some?
So how do we, for those that don't aren't into it and maybe don't even care?
It's quite a huge story.
Yeah, this is bigger than golf.
Yeah.
It's global.
It involves ethics and you're getting a call.
Somewhat important.
Is he getting a call?
Is it a tax man?
Is it?
Chrissy.
Oh, geez.
Chavillarina.
It wouldn't have been metaphor as like,
Cynthia, huge yams or something like that.
I blocked that.
Big jugs, Jessica.
I blocked that.
Do you see the look at his face there?
I was close to call.
I'd live golf.
But how about the golf?
How about it?
So for, because when did this whole live thing start?
A year and a half ago, two years ago?
This is the first season of it.
We heard years and years of speculation that, you know,
Phil Mickelson and.
Norman.
The shark, Greg Norman,
and we're like going to start a rival league to golf
with some money from the Saudis.
And all of a sudden now very quickly,
less than a full season in, I think it is.
They're all one and the same now.
Because it was that moral conundrumbrothers.
Band of brothers there.
They started,
the Saudis started,
hey, they got all the cash in the world.
What's it going to take?
How much, hey, DJ.
How much?
What do you need?
300 million.
400 million.
How much do you guys?
Come on over.
Tiger, 800 million.
So then it was the moral conunders.
Can you accept this dirty money, this Saudi money that we're going to test your ethics and just
see what kind, where is your moral compass pointed?
Is it all about the money?
And for some, it was all about the money.
Because it's all of the money.
It's always about the money.
It's an incredible amount of money.
It's an incredible amount of money.
But Rory, and there were some guys who noticed.
Yeah, well, how they look today.
It's not about the money.
It's not about the money.
And then, so,
the PGA who basically said,
I can't believe you guys would...
They're suing them.
I can't believe you guys would bolt.
How could you do this to us?
On us, on this great game of ours.
How immoral are you?
Get into bed with these people.
Just for money,
you would walk away from this great game,
the history and the heritage that is in the PGA.
You would do...
What's that?
Call coming in.
Live golf?
Hello?
Oh, wow.
How much?
A lot of money.
We're in.
So basically the PGA did what they were condemning.
Yes.
the individuals for doing, which is taking the Saudi money and getting into bed with
Liv Gaul.
And again, this, a lot of people are making this out to be like, ooh, the Saudis are going
to get into, they're already there.
They own a big slice of the LPGA.
They're massive in F1.
They're a big slice of the world.
Yeah.
And so, exactly.
And I think the problem was that the PGA portrayed it very differently.
Like, oh, look at all these atrocities that have occurred here.
It's like, yeah, they have happened there.
And guess what?
they've been doing things in sport
and globally for a long, long time.
And to be fair, when you're taking a paycheck
from a golf tournament in the USA
from a predatory lender, I mean, there's
gray areas everywhere. It is not the nicest
people on earth that collect the most money necessarily.
And yeah, there's some shit that's not great, but
money wins the day. This is fucking capitalism.
Take your kids out of school and just give
them this case study and they know all they need to know
about life.
Money. Now, we are involved with a
predatory lender.
but at the same time,
it's a lot of money.
I'm just saying like,
I like the predatory lender.
No,
there's a couple tournaments.
Like there's a lot of big corporations
that maybe aren't the most ethical
and have done some things
that have hurt society more than help
that are huge sponsors on PJ
and yet the PJ drew this line about the Saudis
and I get it.
Of course, there's a very,
very dicey track record of human rights,
la la la.
But this was always about money
and they have more money than Americans.
For the first time ever,
the Americans don't have the big stack
at the table in a sport that they owned.
And we saw it from other countries. You'd always have Luke
Alvion. He's an Aussie. He said the PGA
that ruined Australia's golfs even for a while because they were the
big stack of the table. And they didn't give a shit.
But now that they're not the big stack,
oh, don't take someone else's money.
That's what they did to everyone else.
I'm guessing the PGA came by their means on
all very pure. That's right.
Right? Above board.
Organic growth.
This is not my discussion.
to have. I just think it's
it's a wild. It is
a butt. You feel bad for the guys
that walked away from it and touted
the more ethical I would never.
I'm not being loyal to the PGA.
Now you're hooped. You're part of it.
If you want to play golf, you're in.
They're in and they didn't get their payout. So the rumor
was that Rory was offered in the neighborhood
of like a half billion dollars.
Like that is life altering money even for
a guy that will be worth.
Yeah, like it's a huge amount of money. Tiger
was allegedly offered close to a billion like
800 million, something like that.
The guys that took it, did it understanding, okay, you're not allowed to go back to the PGA.
Yes, you'll be able to play your majors, but you're going to be a persona non grata in the U.S. scene.
It's like, boy, life's going to be tough.
And less than a year later for some of these guys, they're just.
They've got it all.
They got the money and they're back.
And if you're roaring, you turned it down based on being loyal to the PGA and immoral this and, you know, it stands for more than money.
Well, fuck, the PGA just screwed you.
Yeah.
Absolutely hooped you.
What's your conversation with the PGA today?
What changed?
You've just stabbed me in the back and in the heart and wiped my legs out.
Like you've 100% sewarded me.
And I think sort of on the flip side of that is the guys that were made out to be villains in the American media like Phil and the Ozzy, I can't remember, Greg Norman.
I mean, I don't think they come out squeaky clean, but you can understand when they said this is,
for the betterment of golf.
Like, players are now going to play for bigger purses,
and it's going to be a more, you know,
you can make more money in golf than you ever will before
because of this relationship.
Saudis have the most bottomless pockets that exist on earth,
and that's going to get funneled into the sport of golf.
Instead of a not-for-profit entity, the PGA,
golf is going to be much more fruitful for players now because of these guys.
And I'm not saying they're not,
there isn't some questionable things with the legacy,
but I think you view what Phil and Greg were talking about differently,
because this is what they want it.
I, you know what, I don't.
I think it's less about Phil,
because all of that is still,
it's still true.
Like,
if that was your thing,
that you should not take this dirty money,
it's still dirty today.
Yes.
What it does,
it's less about the image to me about Phil and Greg Norman.
It's about Jay Monaghan.
100%.
Yes.
They're the ones.
And I get,
like, yeah,
you would be sour.
I would get,
he's the first guy is Rory McElroy.
How do you feel today?
The face of this.
Because you,
the PGA, you used, it was all about testing your morals.
The love of all of that bullshit that they strew out week after week after week.
And a calendar year less later, you're doing exactly what you were condemning those guys for doing.
And cost them hundreds of millions.
Because you got bought just like they did.
It's just like you told them your players not to cave.
You caved.
juicy.
And I don't know if you guys have watched,
but I think it's called Full Swing.
The Netflix followed around.
They're trying to recreate the F1 show on Netflix.
First season was okay.
You know, it gets a little spicy with a few of the guys with Liv,
and they happen to be covering things as Liv gets off the ground finally.
The cameras are in Ontario today.
Toronto's hosting the RBC Canadian Open.
That starts on Thursday.
There's a players meeting today.
So all the PGA guys that are collected there, cameras are there.
So I if I'm the PGA honestly and they've got the rankings right the FedEx
rank rankings they have to that's what's what I think they need to do as much as I hate
how the union screwed me in hockey out of a year of my career and caved just like Pinders said
those guys need to start a union and go after the PGA and say F you none of us are playing
till we get our peace.
Yeah.
Or the PJs should be going to those guys.
And if you're ranked one to 100,
this is what you get.
Everybody's getting.
Because just to F those guys and say,
come on,
bad, you're going to love it.
Yeah.
It's going to be good.
Why are you so mad?
What are you upset about?
Guys, this is great.
It's a great business.
And it was weird.
So you got paid and you got and you did.
And it will trickle down to them,
but they got to go fucking earn it as opposed to,
getting a check.
Here's a check.
Yeah.
And so when players were like, we don't think golf is being run well enough, we think we should be making more.
Why are we making zero dollars when we miss a cut traveling around the world?
Like, this is a really tough gig.
Why are you making us play a certain number of events?
Like there was a lot of gripes about golf could be better.
And yes, it's about the money.
But it was also about let's run golf smarter.
And because we can make more money than this.
And then Liv starts.
And suddenly the PGA tour finds like 10 million under the,
under the cushions every couple of weeks.
Like, where the fuck was this money, you guys?
And that's why I don't believe the players were happy with the way that the PGA was going.
And yes, there was a moral conundrum about who, if it's not the PGA, who do we go to?
But now it's the same umbrella.
And players are going to get paid better.
But the guys that took the money are laughing.
They were right from the start.
Well, but at least they had to be villains at home.
And now it's like, answer for it somewhat.
And you're not allowed here and you can't play this.
all that's gone. Where was the downside now?
Oh, the smiles you're strutting around with that.
Yeah, your, your head's a little higher today.
You know what? I'll be at that RBC presser today.
Yeah, I can make that one.
If I was Roy, I tell him, go fuck yourself.
Hey, Rory.
I think I'm coming out and talk bullshit.
Oh, we're going to have to find you.
Find me a cajillion dollars.
Find me every dollar, like whatever.
I'm never paying it.
Fuck you.
Oh, it's brutal for these guys.
So we led the show with golf.
That hasn't happened in 10.
10 years. Oh, but it's almost bigger than golf because you got to think there's going to be a trickle down into the rest of the sport.
Well, there already has been a huge in soccer. F1s already happen. In soccer, you're seeing it. So Rinaldo's already gone and signed to the Saudi club.
Was it Macy having a big? Messi will probably end up there. I think he's using Barcelona's leverage. And then Benzema, another amazing striker. I think he's now either committed or in negotiations to go down.
And we're talking like hundreds of millions a year, not like amazing European money, bigger than that to go play in lesser leagues. Like we're seeing a balance.
of power in pro sports
because frankly if you have the most
money why can't you pay the best athletes
to come in? I mean I'm not saying
talking out of school but I've even heard it's maybe
even trickling down into the podcast world
If I were the nation network
maybe the rats
sters should head over to Saudi
I was going to say it's beautiful this time
you're right these guys
were to sultans like who do we got to talk
to you got to find some of one of the words
I want to use the respectful terms I don't
want to offend anyone is sultan the wrong term
any sheiks in your phone.
Yeah.
It,
it,
it,
it was,
and we'll move on.
But it was always,
to me,
so we're going to move on
to the fucking hockey game?
Well,
it was just kind of rich
for people who would have
a hard and fast opinion
about somebody
and the way they live their life
without ever being put in that position.
Yeah.
How can you,
how,
it's maybe the wrong choice.
Maybe it is.
It's maybe a terrible choice.
But until somebody floats you
$200 million and you turn it down, you cannot have an opinion on this.
If you were offered five times the money you make to do the same job, even if you hated
where the people paying you got their money, like who is actually saying no?
It's very easy to criticize people doing it.
But when you're putting that spot, what percentage of people would actually say no?
I think it's incredibly small.
Five max.
Max.
Like 95% take the money.
Yeah.
It's because it's, you know, you can do things with money.
Well, and if you feel so shitty about it, I will take your $100 million and I'm going to give 50 of it into my causes to make people's lives better.
Like, you can do that as well.
Yeah.
And chances are the 5% or whatever that would turn it down probably have so much wealth already that it's irrelevant.
It's life changing and it's impactful, obviously.
But you're probably not, like some of us, rushing out today because.
because it's the first Tuesday of the month to get your
15% off groceries or whatever the fuck it is.
Five times your salary is not nothing.
Like, never mind that on the PGA, you get nothing for showing up.
Nothing.
You have to make a cut to get any money.
And to really make a name for yourself,
you need top tens and top 20s where you can actually get tangible money.
I would have assumed, and I don't know why,
that there was a, I don't know what to call it,
but a moral compass that guided that old sports.
of hockey in the PGA.
And what it just leads me to believe is
it's been a bunch of corrupt old pricks running
it from the start. They weren't happy without
this being around. A bunch of old boys. It's an old
boys club and they were keeping all
the shit that they wanted and trickling it
down enough to make the other guys content.
But they were never running it
fucking. Oh, we've found some
more money here. There's going to be bigger purses this year.
Oh, geez. Where was that?
What? Weird. Just as Liv started.
Get a big sponsor on board.
TV deal? What happened? Because last week
times are tough yeah you're saying the things are the way they are because it's always been the way now they're changing
and there and and you know there'd be that okay i was saying before i don't know how they kept because it does it
it shocked the world today how it was a deal of this magnitude was kept quiet relatively an overnight bang
um no rumors there would have been if you're the pj that j mona has like okay we're deals done deals done
there's no way we can spin this hey like i am going to look like a complete
asshole, right? Is there anything?
My question is what island is he
hiding on for the next year? This guy's not going to be able to
show his face in public. What a snake.
Yeah. Well, I don't
Is he a snake?
Well, I mean, look, we just said, take the fuck.
Right. But the difference is he said
for years and years, you can't do this.
This is a moral. Stay loyal to us. At least
DJ and Patrick Reed and Brooks Capka and
Bryson DeShambo and Phil were honest. They're like,
yeah, it is about the money.
Yeah. They weren't like, all about the money.
Like, and Jay was pretending it wasn't.
And then the PGA bends the knee to take the money.
Like, fuck off.
Yeah, if you had said at least that everyone's,
guys were honest.
Everyone's free to do.
Everyone's a professional.
It's a free.
If that's their decision, we don't agree with it.
But if it.
No, they made them.
Complete degenerates for doing it.
Totally.
You've got guys that were running their mouths about guys that left.
Yeah.
And now those guys are.
Yeah.
So that big check that you get for winning the RVs is,
Where's that money coming from?
Oh, from the place where you wouldn't take.
So are you taking this month?
Are you taking it now?
That'll be next year.
It's like, hey, purses are up.
But are you going to.
What's unfortunate and what's really disappointing is how little money it would take.
Oh, for one of us.
To really test your, your scruples.
So I don't think I can.
10 more.
I'm not sure.
Okay.
Yeah.
That, that, that.
Barnburner is signed off.
with live to do an all golf show five days a week.
I love golf.
Yes.
I love golf.
There you go.
There you go.
You tell Jay up in Edmonton watch his ass.
If the Saudi money comes for us,
see you.
We're here in the Tower Chrysler studios.
Tower Chrysler voted Southern Alberta's number one.
The favorite.
That's the thing.
How is it number one?
It's people's favorite Dodge Chrysler.
It's the consumer's choice.
That's right.
Sumers choice.
You're allowed to make choices and people have made choices and they've chose Tower Chrysler.
I have questions.
We brought it up a while ago because now the NFL, we see the camps and stuff are underway,
which means the season is getting closer.
I've not talked to Serge or the guys about steak club.
Oh, I'm worried about state club.
I'm worried about state club because Serge cut red meat and sugar.
How are you doing steak club if you're not?
I should know, obviously, it's a different thing, but it's gluten and then it's going to be salt and then it's going to be butter.
There's nothing left.
Because their stake club, what they do is every year, they get a every, what was Wednesdays?
They do, they go out for, they get steak sandwiches.
And then at the end of the NFL season on Super Bowl Sunday, they have stakes at the championship place or from the championship place.
So there's a set, just like the NFL, there's a weekly schedule.
That's right.
Compiling results, a very exhaustive, exhaustive evaluation.
It's confidential from each steak, enjoyer.
And then the top teams qualify, top restaurants,
qualify for the playoffs.
And then the winner of the semi-final,
or the final matchup,
they go then and celebrate Super Bowl at that place.
I have some, now, the people in the steak club,
do they know the establishment when they're eating it?
Or is it kept secret?
It's blind box.
It is, right?
Because otherwise you could be swayed.
Because you might be swayed.
Yeah.
Like, oh, this place says they have the best steak in town.
it is. This place had a horrible, like, looked like a janky joan. How is this? This can't be good.
You can't be swayed. Can you get a hold of Surge and find out what the details are?
If you just get it to us, we can't just call college and surge and find out what's up with
State Club. Yeah. That's like a good idea, something like we should do, but they're just
organized. Yeah, we kind of talked about it. They're like, oh, we, we have knives and shirts and
sweaters and stuff. Yeah, we have swag from State Club. I've got a State Club hoodie for you,
We have a state club update for you in the coming days.
You mentioned the hockey game last night.
We don't need to talk about the hockey game.
There was a game last round in the Western conference final between Dallas and Vegas.
I think it was.
And it was very lopsided for Dallas.
And I put together just a little kind of a montage, a game in 60 seconds kind of a thing,
to give you an just let you, if you didn't see the game,
it's all you need.
Here you go.
Last night was another one of those situations.
Vegas, Florida, game two at the T-Mobile Arena.
Vegas took game one, but as I said yesterday,
it was kind of a close game.
In the second period, the Panthers hit a couple of posts.
They got a late goal from the Duke, Anthony Duclair,
and then a couple goals in the third gave Vegas the win.
But you felt like that.
Rust was going to be shaken off for the Panthers.
Going to be better in game two,
get a big win.
You go home, tied at one.
You get home nice.
You feel good about yourself.
So let's go, it's a game.
I think it's a little more.
more than a minute. But if you need just kind of a brief synopsis and a feel for what took place in game two between Vegas and Florida last night, here's a look for you.
He's got another. Before going to commercial break, another one into Ratko Gudis.
Chuck, Scott, and he'll go and at it.
The overcast
Glad was going.
Get it to get it to a minute.
Before.
Two.
Look at how many guys that Florida has on the ice.
He'll got four guys.
It's the five scores.
Time runs out.
It's a two nothing.
Surrey.
Thurrah.
Yeah, that's 7-2, the fun.
final just for the Vegas Golden Knights.
It was not a great night for the Florida Panthers.
So yes, they, they weren't, Florida was not better in game two.
They were actually quite a bit worse.
Undisciplined, as it turns out.
Undisciplined.
And just they played a terrible hockey game.
Yeah.
Terrible game.
You heard Eddie Olick, I don't know where Eckblad was going.
They didn't have the right number of guys.
They were, they absolutely stepped in there.
in their dinner last night.
God.
A disaster.
It's a disaster.
It's not good.
We're not surprised.
Now, we have seen teams come out of two o'holes before.
How do you feel about their ability to go home and win two in sunrise?
It's up to Bobber.
I don't feel good about it.
We did talk about Bobber.
I don't feel good about it.
I would think,
yeah, that's four out of five, you got to win now.
Bobowski against the Leafs allowed 10 goals in five.
games. He allowed six
goals in four games against
Carolina. He has allowed
eight goals in 87 minutes
to the Vegas Golden Knights.
Eight on 46.
That's well below the 950
that he was treating the team to
in the series prior. And it's not
all Bobowski. We were talking about it earlier this
morning. Some of it is Bob
and some of it is the play in front.
I put together
you played defense in the national hockey league.
It was a while ago.
but still I feel like defensemen are the two guys that play in behind the forwards.
Now, again, you're allowed to have five skaters.
It's just the way that teams they've chosen to have three forwards and two D.
But again, I think if you're one of those defensemen, your job is more or less been to keep the puck out of your net.
Let's take a look at some of this play here from last night.
Now, the first goal here that we take a look, now it's a power play goal.
But there's a seam pass.
we've also got
I mean so it's a great shot
it's a great shot
March of so we'll talk to the
but
they're
just walking into the zone
and let me know if this is a
common thread
first on the puck
first on the pocket
it's just
okay so now it's five on five
at least
it still looks like a power
there's three
there's three guys there
no one's cover
the point guy. Look how easy it is. He just sauntered in across the blue line all night long.
And even double clutches it there a couple of times. He still gets it off in time to score.
Well, you'll see on the replay here, this is Nicholas Wong.
Pretty funny to skate in with that. The play starts, they're in the defensive zone.
And just slowly carry it up the ice. Enter the zone. Now watch walk into the corner. There's two guys.
They both turn away from it.
and he just, okay, I'm going to go to the net.
I suppose, right?
He's like, I'm going back to the point.
Like, look at this.
Where are we going, fellas?
And it just kind of keeps getting easier.
Where is everyone?
Right?
This is not, this is five on five.
That's fun to skate in like that, I'm guessing.
Unmolested from the slot in.
This is got an art stalled.
So I lose my stick.
I run into you.
I get the stick.
And all of these Vegas players, not a stick laid on them.
The entire.
The entire is just spinning.
He's been spinning on the three goals.
This is the one where Eckblatt, where is he going?
And that was also, I believe, the first ship for Eichol, is that's early third period.
He comes back and he goes into the corner, doesn't shy away from contact, wins the battle,
and then finds an open battle, right?
Like, the puck just kind of comes to him.
And no one has marshal.
so you may want to cover that guy.
Where is that glad going?
Because he even took a peat there.
And the Ikel points.
Is he right?
Well, he went right into the corner.
And then these two guys.
And I get it by now.
It's 5-1.
It's the third, but you still play.
That's Brandon Montour, who's been applauded.
And this is what Vegas does.
They turn pucks over and then turn on the jets.
Where is he going?
It's not taking it to anyone.
It's just out there.
And this here, this is, they're in good shape for the most part,
although the game comes out of their own zone.
Stayed in, but it's three on three.
There's a guy wide open in the slots.
So it, it's Bobrovsky for sure.
But that was.
It's only Bobrovsky for sure because Bobrovsky got them here.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
That's what they've relied on.
It's very possible they've played this way in series three.
It could be.
Probably not this bad, but you're right.
Like if they get this kind of a net mining, they don't win a series, never mind three.
No, they're not.
If you're going to get this kind of net mining eight on 46 or you go to your backup, like that's, you're done in any of these series.
Now, they were down to it at Boston and they did have just okay net mining at the beginning of the start with Alex line.
Great saves, but under siege.
It just, we knew this end would come to a run, but when would it?
Would Bob be able to hold onto it through the playoffs?
Because they were going to have a parade if he could.
And it sounds stupid, but it sure looks like those 10 days off is too much.
If they would have finished that series, the Dallas series, in five games, is that what it was?
It would have saved them four days in terms of start time.
It would have moved game one of the cup final up four days.
Do you not beat Carolina in four?
No, you do.
There's nothing they.
You can't do it.
It's just, it's hard.
It's just.
You don't get 10 days off.
Remember how good are the flames?
After the All-Stars.
The All-Star or the mandatory week.
They're always worse shit after.
Like, you're always, like, it's just, it's what happens.
You can't practice for 10 days in a row.
You can't maintain the intensity for 10 days, right?
Like, it's just, and I'm sorry, you win that conference?
Guess what people are telling you?
You guys are awesome.
You're great.
Right?
Like your head gets big.
It's true.
It happens.
So anyway, it's not an excuse.
It's just the way it is.
It's kind of impossible to predict because I'm as bad as anybody for watching the playoffs,
pretty much any sport and being fairly sure.
Small sample.
What you're going to see is what you've seen.
I can definitively tell you now what's going to happen.
So I do feel like Florida is probably done.
Yeah.
they're hooped. But go home. Now, now you don't have days off. You're in that routine. Now it's a two day break, but still.
Two days. Right. This, yeah. Um, you've now played two hockey games and you're, you're somewhat back in that rhythm. You were down in round one to Boston.
If, play better for sure. And more disciplined. And we'll talk about that. But you better win game three.
Because then it is over. But I do, I do. I do.
think that Bobrovsky gives him a fighting chance
if he can be better.
The problem is that can only be better.
You're asking Bob to be a thing that he hasn't been for most of the last five years.
I understand that.
Like I'm with you.
Of course, if Bob's great,
they got a chance,
that's any team in any game in the NHL.
Yeah,
no,
and I'm with you.
And you're right about overreacting.
Like Mark Spector wrote,
you know,
the Oilers are coming home with the commanding one one series lead.
And he wasn't wrong.
If you watched those first two games between Evanton and Vegas,
it was like,
okay, Edmonton was just in Laguna.
They didn't look right at game one.
Leon still scored four,
and they took them until the very end to bury them.
Game two, the Oilers looked like, oh, my gosh, just as like,
but we overreact to small things.
Yeah, but over and go to, go to Batway and check the odds on Florida to win the Stanley Cup now.
Plus 425, I already checked.
Right?
That shit, don't lie.
Yeah, and so I think, so plus 425, we're saying,
what, it's like a one in, don't make me do math and so.
Yeah, like, it's.
It's a long shot.
But for me to bail you up.
At the same time, like, we have seen teams up to O in the Stanley Cup final.
How often?
I have one in the Pind Report.
It's an anniversary.
It's a certain anniversary.
I just, I think it's a good reminder because for through two games, it doesn't look close.
And yet, it still could be.
Because through two games in a lot of series, we thought we knew what the fuck was happening.
The Rangers look way better than the devils.
And how, like, lots of those things.
What's lost in this, too?
I mean, Bobrovsky, yes.
Defense, yes.
The rest, yes.
On the flip side,
Vegas is a good hockey team.
That's where I've under us.
They have not got enough credit for it.
They have not.
There's good reason for it
because they started the playoffs
with a third and four stringers
and you didn't know a lot.
Like the Rampaspa's spot split a long time in this league.
What can you tell me about him?
Well, he's in the league and he's probably not a starter.
And it was fair to look at them and say,
I don't see the pedigree of a champ of a cup winning netminder,
but then also to understand that it's goaltending,
and anyone in the top 100 in the world
can get hot and look like a stud.
Aiden Hill looks like a superstar goalie.
Look at his numbers in the playoffs.
He's now what, nine wins and 11 starts?
You played your whole life.
And I'm with you.
Why are we slow on Vague to come around?
This is not their first year.
This isn't the Cinderella expansion team.
I think it's obvious.
You had goaltending questions
and their best player at a bad distance.
in his back and Ikel never played in the playoffs before.
There was all kinds of question marks around this team.
I didn't think Stone was going to deep down.
And when we watched him that one go off the ice there.
That's right.
I was brown too.
He leaves the ice in the middle of practice.
He gets caught on cameras like they're cooked.
And he's been great.
Aiden Hill.
Calgary guy.
Good.
Good out of for a fourth round or anyone in the league.
That's a bit steep.
Is that the asking price?
I'm sure he was traded for a fourth.
He was traded for a fourth.
Yeah.
And it was insurance because it's like,
well,
we got like two guys hurt.
Maybe if we need a third guy,
he can come in.
No one went and got Aiden Hill to be a consmite winner.
And okay,
you're GMing.
Are you signing them?
Well, he's a free agent, right?
I'm going to say,
it's,
what's he worth?
Well, I mean,
what's a similar spot?
I feel like the Jordan Bennington spot's a similar one.
Yeah,
it's an immediate, like,
rise to stardom out of,
what we thought. He's 27.
He's only 27.
Similar to Bennington.
And I don't know if Bennington came up right away or if it was the year after.
But again, it's goal tending.
But also it's like this guy's always had tools and there was talk about
it took the right coach to get him to put the discipline and the work ethic.
And what's he looking for?
If I'm him, I'm looking to stay in Vegas.
And you can always take a one year deal and prove it if you believe in yourself or you take all the money.
You're going to the Stanley Cup finals and you're probably.
we're going to win, you don't take any risk.
Set your life up.
You're just proven.
Yeah, you're like, Jack Campbell got five times five.
Can we call Kenny Holland and see what he's given me this year?
What the hell am I going to do better next year that's going to improve my stuff?
You know what, though?
And any, like, it's, yeah, anybody could have had him for a fourth.
This is, this is almost needle in a haystack stuff.
It totally is, but it's the league's full position.
The league is full of these sorts of guys.
And once you see it, then you can go back and, okay, well, yeah, he was with Arizona.
And that's never been a very good team.
and he was in San Jose when the sharks were not a very good defensive team.
And all of a sudden, he's a capable goalie at the team that plays better and all of this.
He wasn't, he wasn't the starter at the start of the playoffs.
What's he worth?
Three, four, five.
I was going to say, I was seeing that.
Yeah.
I think you're probably, you're looking for the Jack Campbell deal, but you probably take last.
Like, what did Darcy, no, Darcy Kemper get coming on?
much more proven commodity.
What did Darcy get from Washington last year, a little older?
Kempter was a high draft pick.
Yeah.
And my point is that it was like journeyman by the time he gets to Colorado.
And then he's on the powerhouse team wins a cup and parlays that into a deal.
Not the same, but a guy that went to the market at the perfect time.
Kempter was never going to get great number one money.
And then he lands in Colorado.
And you're like, okay, well, that's a pretty nice place to be.
I was trying to think this morning, when's the last time a team has won a cup
where you felt like the goalie was, you know, the weak link or the ordinarily.
I was saying it was probably anti-Niemi.
Nehemi's, thank you.
Right?
And was that their first one?
Yes, it was.
Crawford had the last two.
But that's how good that team was.
They didn't qualify him.
Remember that after winning the cup?
Yeah, because then he went to San Jose.
Yeah, Doug Wilson took him to San Jose.
But I think anti-Niammy.
But that's my, that's the thing with this Aiden Hill.
It's like, I don't know.
Do you hang your hat on it?
I mean, the one thing for Vegas is they're cutthroat in a way, right?
The other thing is, if you know Leonard's hurt, what does Hill need to do more?
Like, you can provide them more structure than a lot of places.
You can take Leonard's money.
If I'm Vegas, I'm thinking I'm signing him.
It's just, I don't know if I can give him five.
Yeah, so that's going to be the song and dance.
We love you here.
It's an incredible run, but really, it was three months of good hockey.
We saw Chad Johnson go 930 for longer than that.
It's weird position.
I could see him being a one moving forward.
I could also see this as like the moose,
headberg in like one of those runs, the hamburger.
Like I don't know which one it is.
The more you see them,
the more you're convinced it's one.
But what is the Campbell deal?
Five times five.
That's what I want.
You can want it.
It's whether the teams want to.
We'd have to go through and just see who.
Yeah.
And it's a tough year for that because no one's got cap space.
And I think there's a lot of goalies out there.
Like who needs a goalie bad?
And like if you're Toronto, does Adenhill solve your goalie problems?
Or is it like, I feel like we'd Samsonov's in the same boat.
Yeah.
I don't know.
Goleys, man.
Goleys.
Two wins away.
Vegas Golden Knights.
And all of that, well, you know, they weren't very loyal and they did some that.
They didn't do it.
They tried to trade Daddanov and they knew they couldn't trade Dad.
Like all of that stuff.
Mark and savory stuff.
I can't believe how cutthroat and terrible these people are.
Later.
that's kind of the role of the model of the show, right?
You can be a prick as long as you win.
Yeah, just win.
Get them.
Secure the bag.
Do what it takes.
Get the bag.
You can be an asshole, but you'll be happy.
You'll be a happy asshole.
You'll be a wealthy happy asshole.
You can buy happiness.
I'd love to be it.
I've got the asshole thing down.
If I could just get the wealthy thing figured out.
I'd say you're grumpy, not an asshole.
That's fine line.
There's some overlap, but they're not the exact same.
I think your intentions.
are better who you talk to on any given day.
So yeah, here we are again.
Are we going to have two rounds out of four that we're good?
Because last round was not very good.
Well, that's what I said.
I wrote in with you.
I'm like, so we got two rounds of good hockey.
One and two are so good.
And to be fair,
a Florida winning game three changes everything.
It does.
Now you're on home ice in game four.
It changes everything until Saturday.
Right, but you've given yourself a chance to even the series.
which would be amazing.
And I think for our attention span and interest
and thinking about series good or bad,
we're one Florida win from being in a good spot.
There's a couple more things on that game
and just things in general before we get into the Pinda report.
First, I want to tell you about Vinova.
I saw on old Justin.
I saw on his Twitter.
It's pretty young.
He was down in Vegas at some lab-grown diamond conference.
Conference.
Conference.
Conferencing?
Yeah, he is.
You think those guys are using the safes in the whole?
hotel.
Sorry, I just watch White Lotus last night.
The only store in Calgary that specializes exclusively in lab grown diamonds.
This is another one of those things that you've maybe, you've heard about by now,
and it's going to just become commonplace.
If it isn't already in the next year, two, three, you're going to, this is the way things
are done.
Largest selection of loose lab grown diamonds in the city of Calgary.
Savings, you're going to see savings in most.
cases, a lot of cases up to 80%, we've been telling you about this. It just makes sense.
Either save a bunch of money or you get way more wow for your budget.
Vena Nova.com. Their showroom downtown, beautiful, second level of Stephen Avenue place,
family owned, family run, great Calgaryan people, and want to help you out, want to save you
some money and point you in the right direction. So fellas, it's another one of those things.
I guess you're doing the old ring thing.
why do it any other way than with Viena Nova and get yourself into the lab grown diamonds.
Venanova.com.
You would talk the other day, the Aden Hill, Con Smyth thing.
It was 12 to 1 to start the series.
Yesterday we checked it was plus 600.
It's plus 425 today.
Is Marsha?
Marshall's like, I think, even moneyish, like minus 125, maybe.
I'll pull it up again.
11 points for Marsha So in a seven game point streak.
12 goals in his last 12 games and had nothing in his first seven.
So he has caught.
He had a tough go against Winnipeg.
That was it.
That was one of those.
Eichol hasn't scored.
Marsha hasn't scored.
And that whole thing.
Then their goalie gets hurt.
They were fucked.
They were totally fucked.
Right.
Now they're down to their four stringer.
Yeah.
They're down to their four string guy and their guys aren't scored.
And Mark Stone's leaving practice.
Like they're hooped.
Yeah, they're done.
Yeah.
Now, Marsha's had some pretty good looks, but he's.
He's also buried.
I didn't think he could beat goalies at distance like he's done all,
what is it, seven games in order or something crazy?
We've talked about it a lot, though.
You go back to when he was in Florida before the expansion draft.
And even that last year, didn't he have 30 goals?
He had a lot as a Florida Panther and then was exposed in the Vegas draft.
And they plucked him off Tampa.
Tampa had him sitting in the liners forever.
Honestly, if you were doing anything sharp around then,
it was just anyone that's on the bubble in Tampa,
grab them. Marcia So or for Hagee? I think both.
Her Hage got up to the big club and they got taken away in free agency, if I'm correct.
And Marsha Show was on Tampa's minor league team in the A pile up numbers. She's too small.
He's not going to make it. They won a Calder Cup or two. I think it was at Springfield or Norfolk, Norfolk maybe.
And someone else was like, look, Tampa's collecting good players. Let's see if this guy makes it at the next level.
And then boom, he was like 30 in Florida, like, poof out of nowhere.
Yeah. I kept waiting for him to cool off and go back to the miners. It hasn't happened yet.
young kids,
eh,
right?
Kids.
Yep,
these young kids
that are young
and fast.
Yeah.
Yeah,
he was with Tampa in,
what,
15,
16,
had seven goals,
went to Florida,
scored 30 in 75 games.
And look at the A,
because I don't know
if you have that in front of you.
He had some big years
there in Tampa system,
if I'm correct.
Uh,
on,
yeah,
yeah,
point a game,
point a game a little better.
Which is not nothing.
Yeah.
But going from seven goals
to,
30. That's nice.
It is nice.
And then went to Vegas and it didn't slow down, 27, 25, 25.
So he's been just fine.
Thank you.
And that was also, as we've talked about,
Dale Tallon,
also threw them a little Riley,
Riley Smith.
Well, we got to keep Alex Petrovich.
Yeah, in there as well.
But that's, I mean, it's,
he's loving life with Jack Eichael.
Jack Eichael's loving life in Vegas.
Jack Eichael, I think there's,
Look, it got nasty between him and the sabres, like really nasty.
And it was finger pointing and name calling.
And it was just a toxic relationship that needed to end.
This is the player that you gave $10 million to when you watch him now.
It's finally all coming together.
And that next surgery thing was overblown in terms of how risky it was.
That's a very normal procedure to do.
It just hadn't been around for a long time.
And how much time did he not play, like over a year?
But like what you're watching now is what we,
he thought he was going to be, which is like maybe the best American center on the earth.
They tested his neck out last night, didn't they?
Let's take a look at this.
Let's take a look at this hit.
Now this is, dirty, no.
Chuck knows what he's doing.
But he freight trains Jack, like, he just doesn't see him coming.
And you're watching reach forward here.
Look.
At the last minute, he kind of sees it.
And he's in a bad way.
What he's doing.
His wind is gone.
That looks like the guy who cannot get his win.
And that's what he said after that.
At the last second, he just kind of, I guess, tries to bail out.
That is a great, isn't it?
We got a bunch of tunnel.
He's up and none for the head.
Yeah, there was a, there was a head.
Yeah, there's a bunch of stuff.
We just roll out one more time.
It's amazing to watch.
Brother, I forget which player was.
You can see the vaguest guy skating out of his home.
Chuck kind of ducks in behind that guy and then gets around at the last minute.
He's kind of shielded, but still the...
I don't think I feel just overhandles a touch with keeps his head down.
Wow, everything is crazy.
It is what we've said all year.
Who was it in Minnesota?
Was it the big man?
Greaves.
Reeves just absolutely destroyed.
Like, you just guys aren't ready for it.
And it was the guy, chronic.
Well, even Truba.
Nobody talks about on the top of the shoulder-related his.
No.
So, yeah, as you said, Ikel leaves, comes back, next shift, sets up Marsha's O for that goal.
He's a hell of a player.
I don't think Cachuk has been very good.
It looks like Calgary could chuck in the final.
But even, again, we talked about it on the way in here last, the last series, he scored those two overtime goals.
Yeah.
which were massive.
I didn't think he looked.
Yeah, it masked some.
Yeah.
Some average play for sure.
He was really man.
Game two,
that was the marathon one that went on forever
that he ended,
I think,
if I'm correct.
And it was like,
oof.
No,
the first one of the first one was the marathon.
Okay,
well,
either way,
one of the games he was not
helping out a bunch.
And then boom,
it's in the net.
And you're like,
ooh,
okay.
I saw somebody on Twitter saying,
oh,
Chuck,
is he pointing to the exits tonight?
Pointing to the showers tonight?
He got tossed.
He got three,
three 10 minimum misconducts in two games.
He's got a pair last night.
When he, I was going to say,
I just feel like so much has been said about him.
He's been scoring those goals.
He's the leader.
People are like, this guy is the face of the league.
He's on with Shaq.
He's doing all this stuff.
There's no way that you can't feel an abundance of pressure.
If you're Matthew could chuck.
I don't think you're,
I think that I just feel like you're in the cup fine.
and everybody's talking about you
and the team, you've been carrying the team,
you and your goalie,
I don't know that he's trying to do too much,
but he hasn't.
It's no more than anyone else.
Yeah.
Everyone's feeling.
You still go to the Stanley Cup.
You don't go to bed.
There's five guys on the team
don't go to beds and sleep great
because they're not important,
as important, right?
Like, you go lay in bed at night before a game,
every one of them that's playing the next day is.
And it's hard to evaluate
after you watch a game like last night because I was going to say well Hagee was good.
He hasn't.
And Bennett, you know, lost this guy on that one goal last night.
You know what I'm seeing from Kachuk is what we watched here a lot where he gets so invested
sometimes with the physical after the whistle stuff that he stops being a good player because
he's so tied up in that or he's in the penalty box.
Remember the beginning of the Dallas series of Klymberg last year?
And like, okay, so you fight Klimber like, but it totally got him off his game.
Well, and it hurt his hand too.
And he's spending a lot of time in the penalty box.
And so when he gets too invested in setting the tone physically,
you're missing what he's best at,
which is like his vision is so amazing.
And I think you're right.
He's a leader on that team.
And by playing that way,
a lot of those guys are trying to play that way.
And they're trying to play that way too.
And they've spent the whole day in the box yesterday.
Wow, 7-2.
So that lends itself.
But again, it was what, first two are power play?
Is that right?
Sure.
The poor Pantaros have never want to.
Stanley Cup finals game.
Oh.
Very similar to what happened to us in Colorado when we played them too.
So we went in, played the first game, but we, we were flat because we'd just beat
Pittsburgh.
Okay.
4-1, I think we lost.
Then, so, all right, we'll find our legs next game.
We'll be better.
8-1 loss.
Oh, dear.
We were.
It was going.
Right.
Up until that seventh one won in.
We really thought we were there.
Took the wind out of our sales.
Kimball-Sinn.
Yeah, yeah.
Towards in Columbus.
That's a seventh goal.
really, really hurt.
Yeah.
So then you're flying back, like, as this group is,
you've been outclassed in two games.
You haven't lost on home ice yet.
Like, where were you at and where's this group at?
Or was it different because you were massive dogs there?
I don't know.
So here's the other thing.
And I believe this about the pent.
There's, although they just had 10 days off,
so it's a little bit different.
When you have to outplay the style they've played,
it's very similar to the teams that I went to the finals with,
like Florida, Buffalo and Calgary.
We were under, we were, we didn't have the talent to match up.
So any win you're going to get is a effing grind.
Yeah.
Like you're, you're to win a game.
It is maximum effort.
You're not going to go out and score four on the power play.
Right.
It kind of slide into, to a victory.
So it takes a lot of energy of the guys.
And it's hard to have that night after night.
And I think going 10 days in between,
they forgot how much
it wasn't just automatic again.
You have to ref to find that.
How, okay, well, how are we playing?
What did it take? It's hard to do.
You'd set it after round one with this group that
this Florida team played a lot like you guys did.
As you said, Florida, Buffalo, and Calgary.
They had a hot goalie.
They were okay getting out chance,
knowing they were going to get some saves,
and they rose to the occasion of big moments,
and they set the tone physically.
Yep.
They're not doing that in this series.
No.
They're not getting the saves.
and everything else falls apart after that.
I mean, that's the biggest thing.
More on Vegas, I guess.
What are they going to do with Aden Hill?
You're going to sign this guy.
You're going to keep this guy.
I'll tell you what, I don't know if they can.
And I don't know if they can keep this guy either.
But Barbashev has been awesome.
Hasn't he?
What a pickup.
Came in.
In Barmachev kind of because I think the flames were always kind of circling around him a little bit.
Never did come to be, obviously.
But a guy who was going to be a UFA coming out of St. Louis.
unsure what was going to happen there.
But I was just looking because he was pretty good for them.
I think he scored his first game and then it was quiet,
but he's okay,
here's a decent ad,
I suppose.
But then as soon as the playoffs started,
he's like,
this is going to be the one guy picked up at the deadline that maybe is going to have
the biggest impact in 19 playoff games.
He has 17 points.
And this hit that he catches Radco Gudis with.
And it was,
he also did the same thing.
to do Claire last night.
The old reverse.
The old reverse.
The Vinnie.
How kind of Vinny caught you there in that hit we showed last week.
Rafi Torres used to catch guys.
He was so good at because he was built like a brick shit house.
And guys would come in.
I remember it was Jason Williams of the Detroit Red Wings.
Just knocked him out.
Just put him to sleep with one of those reverse hits.
And Goudis last night.
night who is usually he's not expecting to get hit like this he's coming in to lay lay the bomb down
and barbachev absolutely catches him we've got the video here there's a couple looks at it
but he left in the first period and didn't come back which doesn't help for his case either
he was beat up before it gets it right in the chin shoulder in the chin yeah once your head goes
the rest of you follow that again I don't think that's it's not a dirty hit I don't
think that's anything that the league is going to look at but i don't know it when head is the
first thing that connects but he's coming into an issue right that's not fun right that's not
fun right that's you know that's barbyshire just i said earlier that ikel was lucky he didn't
hit his yeah he did why don't you look at that yeah melon bounce off the goal yeah yes like
He clunked it.
It's pretty good.
Yeah.
So, you know, life's pretty good for the Vegas Golden Knights.
Better than we thought.
Oh, it's good.
I don't have to go to Florida now.
Oh, I thought it was just, it wasn't,
it was about being with your boy.
It was not about who wins.
Well, wait.
If they make a series of it, game six.
Hmm.
Game six.
Not game,
what if they win game three?
They still can't win the series.
I see.
That just evens it out.
I guess it could go to Vegas too.
Why Florida?
You don't want to go with kids to Vegas.
Yeah, maybe not.
Takes a lot of the zip out of a Vegas trip.
Well, I'm not going for it.
When's the last time you were in Vegas?
Have you been post-COVID?
Neither have I.
Kind of get in the edge.
I was there like two weeks before
shit hit the fan with COVID.
Went down there with the Sabres alumni.
Anyway.
No, no, that it's changed.
Lost someone.
Yeah.
He has, has blown his nose.
I got the diarrhea.
I'll tell you about the Pinder report, because it is coming up.
But I'll tell you that it's for Village Honda, located in the Northwest Auto Mall.
Top dollar for your vehicle.
They got a million dollars to do it.
You can sell them your vehicle.
If you got vehicles just kind of sitting around, you know, I've got too many of these bloody cars sitting around.
Sell them your vehicle.
You get a tropical cruise for two.
You're going to get paid.
get paid cash it's a great it's great setup if you're in in that situation find out more at
village honda dot com as mentioned northwest autumol anthony and everybody at village treat you right
they are your dealership for life and they bring you the pinda report who uh who has returned
you can talk we don't have to see him sorry fellas we had some issues with my camera here
so well goodness grace trying to figure that and i also you know i got stuff drinking eight
Jack attack before the
show without going to the watch.
Jack attack.
Are we going to get a Jack?
A viewing?
My,
well,
his camera's working.
So Jack's going to come over.
He's multi,
you know what?
He's not just an interior designer.
Technical.
He's grumpy as heck,
because he's stopped drinking his energy drinks.
So he's having a hard time
getting his,
is it just me?
Or have we had a lot of guys
that drink energy drinks
and not coffee in our,
Yes, we have.
Orbit.
It's the younger generation, Dean.
Because remember, Peter Klein was not that guy.
DeForest definitely was a coffee guy.
Yeah.
We had a number of producers kind of cycle through.
I don't think many.
There was a few interns that were hammering energy drinks at 5 a.m.
And you're just like, I don't know how that can't be.
That's just like, what's in that?
The energy.
I mean, you get energy for, for sure.
Yeah, for sure.
I know what you get.
What is it taking?
That's what I'm wondering.
That's how much time off my life.
am I shaving with each super can.
Is coffee, like, it's not bad for you, right?
I think if you go seven pots of coffee, then you've probably, like most things in life,
moderation.
But is it one of those things?
It's a diuretic, so it would dehydrate you a bit.
That's probably as bad.
Yeah, you can overcome that easy.
Again, we're not saying, like if you have one or two cups of coffee, you're not, it's not like a pack a day.
You're not shaving your life expectancy.
But within reason.
There's also benefits.
Is it the one thing that we enjoy in life that isn't bad for you?
Well, it depends as well.
What are you putting in your coffee?
I drink coffee black.
If you're quadruple creaming and sugaring it, well, it's syrup.
Sure.
But at its core, the caffeinated coffee.
Special bean.
Dr.
Rettster says, go for it.
Yeah.
Get that scratched out on a prescription pad for me, please.
can you make money in the coffee biz?
Like the coffee roasters?
Because we were talking about
You got to get some of those cats that shits it out.
Yeah.
Oh, no.
Yeah.
There is a kind of coffee.
It is.
It is.
It's eaten, yeah.
That's what it is.
It's not a cat, though.
It's a different animal.
Oh, it's a cat.
It's from the cat family.
I think so.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure.
It was a cat.
All right.
Pender Report.
All right, let's do it.
All right.
We start with Craig Conroy's first signing as a GM,
boys.
Oscar dance is back.
Now this is back.
Was he here?
Exactly, right?
And so this is why this is one of the greatest heists of all time.
Not this deal, but the last two years.
The flames need someone to hold the fort in the A
should something happen to Dustin Wolf.
So they bring in dance last year.
And it's like, that is the best pay you can get for opening a gate 60 times a year,
60 games a year.
I could do that.
Right?
Come on.
So similar this year.
a little less money on this one.
The question I start thinking about
is not anything about Oscar Danz,
but you can't wheel into camp
with three goalies, can you?
It's happened.
It's not,
and how has it ended most of those times?
We carry three for a while.
Listen, I mean,
when you have someone like Rita,
you can't,
just put them on waivers.
Yoni Orteo?
You can't have something like Yoni Orteo.
Who is the guy?
I just cast him adrift,
because the league is just,
salivating. There was a French goalie on the island. It was the same thing. He ended up clearing
waivers. They're in three goalies for a month. My thought is the cap's tight. No one's going to
give you anything for a Vlodar a month into the season because everyone's capped out or they're
not going to get to the cap because they're not competing. I feel like this has to be a front burner
type of thing. If Wolf shows up and he's your best goalie and there's three of them, what do you do?
Right? Like this is the problem. I don't want to see this team get into. I think more to your point,
if you're moving Vladar, is it a draft day type of a thing?
I think you do it sooner.
While teams are getting their salary cap thing figured out.
Which team is looking for a platoon goalie, a 1B, a young guy that's got some upside.
Don't let this be a, oh, Wolf made the team.
It's October 25th.
Who wants a goalie?
Everyone has to at that point.
The goal from the miners.
Too bad for you, Wolfie.
Hey, you're the best in camp, but, you know what I mean?
like you know what?
That'd be a fine problem to have, quite frankly.
There's how many years left at four?
How many goalies do we need to have for one of them to be good in camp?
That would be what?
If you have three, I like your chances of one being hot.
The problem is I also like your chance to lose one of them close to nothing.
Whereas maybe if you're more proactive, you can get something for one of the guys.
GM.
Trademarks.
I'm worried about Wolf.
You're allowed to be.
I'm worried about Wolf.
Yeah.
I'm worried that
there's a lot of hype there, right?
There's a lot of hype and you need to prove.
It's weird.
Saver's got that Levi kid.
Yep.
Similar story.
Similar story.
They're hanging all their hopes on them.
If it turns out, it's awesome.
But the guys I talk to the alumni guys, they're like,
he's a small colony.
There's not many.
So there's always going to be that knock until you prove it.
Yeah.
There was the same thing with Saros.
Like, until you put up.
up numbers, there's going to be doubters.
And there's no guarantee that
he is going to be great at the next level.
We just talked about the nuts goal tenders are.
But we also heard he was going to be too small
for junior and too small for the American League.
And he's been goal of the year, four years in a row.
I think he certainly
should have the chance to come in
and earn an NHL job
if he's one of the best two goalies in camp.
And I like his odds doing.
Trade Leder.
Trade Leder.
Oh, it's a trip.
Trade Lodar.
Trade one of your stupid goalers.
Absolutely.
I don't know.
who's got room for a six million dollar goalie for the next three years coming off the season
boston do they do they need a markstrom it's the same situation as here why not if you're gonna have
levi and wolf and markstrom or levi in marksdram what the hell's a different they got all kinds of cap space
i would think they'd be in shin vladar would be more my what i'm suggesting that's the other thing too
do you have the need for a goalie do you have the space and do you view vladar as a guy who would be an
upgrade on what you already have.
The problem with them taking Marchstrom is they've got like three or four other
guys that have been kicking around that organization.
Fledar feels a little bit to me like,
Unproven.
We've got our flame goggles on.
He's like,
he's very good.
He's good.
Whereas around the leagues,
he's the backup that had an under 900 save percentage.
What are we talking about?
Yeah,
but I also look at what happened with Samsonov and trying to think of the other example.
There's plenty both ways.
Right.
Yeah.
And so I don't think anyone's saying we're going to get our next number one.
What they're saying is let's take a flyer on a huge toolsy goaltender that's just arriving in the NHO.
Right.
Or.
So you're not going to much.
They gave up a third rounder firm two years ago.
I think you could get a third or better right now.
The second rounder firm doesn't sound crazy.
Doesn't sound crazy.
But again, it's which team?
Yeah.
You need all of those to kind of fall into place.
How about Ivan Barbashev for Zach Dean?
That was the swap earlier this year.
Zach Dean.
Why do you hate Zach Dean?
I don't know anything about them, but I like having barbershuff.
Yeah, I mean, too.
Lose like that.
Yeah, the whole player.
Center?
Anyway, so that was the goalie news of today that some H.L news, we try to turn into
NHL news.
Let's get to the game last night.
Vegas continues to be good and early.
Check this out if you're a gambler.
Death taxes and the Vegas over's in first period.
13 of the last 14 games, Vegas has hit the over on first period.
So now that we put our money out, it's going to stop happening or is it too late?
can we hear that way that's the day tomorrow
keep an eye on that
also here's uh ickel on that hit we saw
from matthew kichuk i blame myself a little bit
he added that he tow picked a little and was reaching for the puck
said he was winded trying to catch his breath that's why it looks so vivid
in the moment there was a lot of people in the group chat saying
next broken he's done right like just given the history
but it was he was just one and it looked to me like one of those things
where not every hit is going,
you're not concussed on every hit.
Right.
He just looked like he got caught.
Knocked the friggin' wind out of him.
Yeah, it was a heavy hit.
Yeah.
It was a heavy hit.
When did it make sense?
When you read that and you see it,
you're like, oh yeah, yeah, that's not hard to connect those dots.
Grimising in the face roll, yeah.
I don't feel good.
Now, when you catch a guy like that,
do you as the hitter, like would Kachuk?
No, he had him perfect because he was tucked in like this.
It was shoulder.
That was butter.
That was true butter.
Because I wonder sometimes when those guys, you lay out a big hit,
no, you're not always on skate.
Not that, but he was pretty, pretty compact.
No, it is.
Do you know, it's like when a little chilly, you're playing baseball?
If you don't hit it on the right part of the bat, you're like, ah, my hands.
And then sometimes it's like right on the barrel.
Like, I didn't even feel it.
And I'm told us the same with golf shots.
There you go.
Once a year, I find one every 500 swings.
Like, well, that felt nice.
So this hasn't happened, but I want you to just wander down the path of make believe here.
could Jack Eichel get a cup before Conner MacDavid?
Well, certainly could.
How would you feel about it?
So here is what Patrick Johnston out in Vancouver is asking.
Eichael winning the cup before McDavid is blank.
What is it?
I mean, it's an incredible twist of phase.
I don't put much stock in it.
The league is not Eichael versus McDavid.
No, and if you swap the teams they're on, I feel like McDavid is still playing.
I get it.
It's just the narrative is quite something that how much we,
the opinion on Eichol can change in the course of months.
And he's always been talented.
We always thought he was good.
He was just a whiny baby leaving Buffalo.
Yeah.
Winy baby looks like a pretty gutsy.
Even the fact, even when he went back to Buffalo last year, I remember,
was him, why?
Oh, the fair, oh, they're loud.
The fans were never an issue, Jack.
Leave them out of it.
That's right.
Get that the you and the organization didn't see it.
I don't.
Who cares?
That shit happened.
But.
And it was 12 years ago, gentlemen.
But team was up 2-0, feeling real good in the Stanley Cup final.
Let's watch.
Over time, Vancouver, Boston, 2011.
Game two.
Nice fake burrows all the way around.
One up to 2-0 to Boston.
It was finally going to win a cup, right?
It's pretty far.
I hope it.
I was a feel like that from a lot, serious.
It was emceeing the next games at a bar and 10-fifton.
Every other night they're doing $100 and $100 of $100 of $100.
foods and food fat you can't believe how many people were out i remember being at worst and
girls on fourth but they lost us seven and how many people weren't just ecstatic huge growing
they also i was going to say people looking to break windows were ecstatic too
three handbags for everyone how many cities riot and and their sports team loses
Vancouver, you can count
He was riding down
and people are a very
waste basis
They're rescuages
Jesus
I mean too
Didn't they suspended
Aaron Rome
for a billion years
Or something innocuous
And Gregory Campbell
broke
Mason Raymond's back
And he didn't
It's going to serious
Who's the dean
out there?
Oh,
just busy
That's all
Shara
What does he get it in?
Tim Murray
dude
Tim?
Him
What?
It's a Thomas.
Sorry, Timber.
He's thinking about his
James and his
bunker.
Where is Thomas?
What are you doing?
Oh, he's in a bunker for sure.
He's a dude of him.
You want to talk about voodoo and
I just be one.
He's a freaking guy.
How did that?
It just,
it looks like you took some sort of
weird Photoshop.
Take the head off of somebody
and put it on this body
with these different pads.
Like he never looked like a fucking goalie.
And he was great for like three, four years there.
Well, and it didn't start till the third.
30s. He was in Finland.
You want help for you want hope for Aiden Hill to be good moving.
Sure.
That would be a guy copycat because he had a great run.
And interesting that, you know, the Bruins, this is probably their best chance with this group to win this year.
That's the one cup they got 12 years ago.
They've effed a lot up.
They've had some deep runs.
They went to the final and lost.
This year feels like a big sub year.
They lost epically against Chicago.
Yeah.
They had it in the bag and gave it away.
If you go back on those games,
like they had Chicago down,
I think. It was a game six.
It was the year of the flood, so it's hard to...
2013.
Yeah.
I'm sure it was some sort of epic cablaps
where all of a sudden Chicago scored two goals.
Yeah, that was Dave Boland, right?
What the just happened?
Yeah.
You just...
The bowling goals.
Yeah.
Lost to St. Louis, right?
That's who the Blues beat for...
That was the one I was Googling.
They were up.
Yeah.
After five games, they're up three to two going into St. Louis.
St. Louis won two in a row, wasn't it?
And you had to feel Boston win games.
That was kind of a Cinderella thing.
Like you talked about with the goalie, they were dead last in January.
They had to feel like they were in good shape there.
And then this year, you're up three one.
What was the damn song they played?
Gloria.
Yeah.
We got to get you now, ma, yeah.
Oh, well.
it's not like people in Boston haven't had much to cheer
they've had enough yeah that's fair
Tom they had the dynasty of the Celtics there for a bit
and they're an arrogant crew anyways they are
terrible racist just awful bad people mass holes
yeah yeah yeah we'll move along
I do like the city though
oh there's crab cakes or the crab
what would you do for this lobster
crab cakes
crackers crackers in the disc
starving boys to uh
Non-hockey.
The world of golf just got shattered this morning with this news.
PGA Tour, D.P. World Tour, and live golf merging.
D.P.
D.P.
New collectively owned for-profit entity to ensure that all stakeholders benefit from blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
The mortal enemies don't take their money all of a sudden working together.
Friends close.
Your enemies.
Closer.
What he said.
More.
take all the money. And take the fucking money. Never not take the money. The PGA tour convinced
many of its players that taking Saudi money from Liv golf was immoral. But now the tour is
merging with Liv, creating a new entity with Saudi's sovereign wealth fund as the only
outside is investor. The players that turned on the money must be pissed. And yes, they must be
pissed indeed. Another follow-up with a similar thought on it. So you preach loyalty to a
tour and convince guys not to take eight and nine figure deals based in part on that loyalty
and in part on the source of the money, then you find out on Twitter you took the very same
money?
Always business.
Never personal.
Yeah, that's what it was.
That is like if you wake up today and you're Rory, it's like someone just walked in and
said, I'm going to take this 500 million that you have.
It's fine now.
Yeah, that's sort of off the table now.
Now, Roy, we'll find a way to make it back to you.
I don't know how now, but just trust us.
It will never be as much.
Just trust us.
Just trust us.
Don't go to live.
They're bad guys.
We'll make it up to you.
Nine figures is a lot of figures.
That's a huge amount of figures.
I have trouble with math and three figures.
Nine is.
Wow.
So many figures.
Figure four apparently hurts.
Jesus.
Yeah, even if most of them are zeros and there's just one, one.
if it's in the right spot.
I start listening at three to four figures.
What?
What are we talking about?
Maybe I'm in.
How much?
No, I have some less threatening golf news.
Doesn't involve Lived.
Doesn't involve Saudi money.
Just, you know, a guy in Alberta having a season.
This is out at Canaanascus.
Our boys out there play the cave.
Bob Paley, big shout out.
How about the season this guy's having?
His name's Craig Thomas.
Is this the Wendy's guy?
That's Dave Thomas.
Oh, sorry.
He's dead.
slim or two and alive.
He must be alive.
It's his third hole in one of this season.
No one likes a bragger, Dave.
Third of this season, Craig.
166 yards, eight iron.
Stay out of the gym, Craig.
That's a good day at the good season so far.
It's just June and he has three aces.
Yeah, but how's his family?
I don't think he has a family.
I think he has those 13 clubs.
Probably got a family sitting at home.
Where's dad?
Oh, he's getting hole in one.
Again. Then you got to pay for all the shit the rest of the next.
Honey, I told you it never happened again, but I can't leave the club.
I'm going to be late because I got a number one.
Isn't this your third hole in one?
Yeah, you wouldn't believe what's her name?
You lion bastard.
That's getting expensive this golfing.
A lot of private jets to Vegas for Rettsters force them.
No, I got a, I got a photo of me.
You can see it.
Yeah, you could just take any photo and just say you had a hole in one.
He's in tight with the G.
lion prick.
It's Darren, the GM, gave him the flag.
They're in cahoots.
Coots.
Okay, we'll move along.
I found this headline interesting.
Red, I'm going to get you to read it to me because you're the big hoops guy.
The draft's coming up.
Mavericks makes it some news.
Mavericks, work out Dick, ahead of possible dick pick at number 10.
Dick could give Mavs a hot hand.
I can't believe that.
Did they not think before they put that up on the internet?
Dick pick at number 10.
Anyway, I heard he's special.
A lot of length.
We'll move on, Dan.
Oh, my.
Now, you know what you're familiar with crocs, right?
Good in the paint.
Like crocodiles?
No, like the shoes that ignoring people wear.
I got some on today, I think.
Oh, no, there's not.
Oh, maybe those are those are broken stocks.
So the crocs are the ones with like, it looks like the whole punch,
the single punch holes in them, like aerated.
I hope I get it.
If you leave them in the heat, they melt and twist them.
I'm hoping I get a pair for Father's Day.
Now, I didn't know they were cool, but my kids came home from school the other day, and they're like, Dad, Wyatt has Crocs and you can, like, push little ornaments in on them, and there's like little badges you can get.
So you can get, like, hockey stick or baseball glove.
My daughter's got that all.
Right.
And so this is how Crocs have suddenly, you know, been cooler.
I don't know.
Here's one of the later things that you can add.
I think this will be a hit in Eminton.
You can now add the crock nuts to the back.
So they look like.
the nuts that you hang on the back of your truck.
Trailer hitch,
the trailer hitch.
Yeah.
But for your crocs,
didn't see that one coming.
Or is it just an upside down heart?
Maybe that's what it's described as.
Yeah,
it looks like a scrotum, Dean.
Let's move to the next one.
Shorn.
Shorn balls.
What did you do to the shoveler that got her this mad?
I've never seen anyone.
She's phoned earlier.
Well, you didn't pick up.
You've been out of town.
And here's what she's done.
Whatever you've done to set her off.
she's got revenge back waiting for you in Buffalo
it's tough stuff for you
I know you love this car oh
oh my goodness is that
going at the headlights here is she prying something off
Robertson what does she
oh geez there's a headlight is that a windshield
that's not you know what red you can replace those
that's not too bad you just a couple things off there
for those that aren't watching it's a picture
oh no
the windshield she is just stabbing your vehicle with a
raining outside of
she does not give a shit.
She's got the midroth chair in there.
She's working out.
Love it.
Oh, she's getting back window now.
Oh, boy.
Yeah, she's smashing your car.
You know, the problem here for the shoveler is that there's good tape of video of this.
Yeah, she really.
Try me, bitch, I think is what she said.
We have it muted here.
Yeah.
Oh, there goes the back windshield.
The window is right out.
Convertable.
She's not happy.
No.
She's not pleased.
And it's like that maniacal smile and laughing.
Like this is.
I know I'm doing this.
Yeah, I know. I know. And looking at you smiling while she does it, Rhett, I don't know how you're getting out of this one.
She's the PJ. Oh, boy. Yeah, that's Rory on Jay Monaghan's luxury vehicle at the next PG event.
That's someone who's out nine figures. That's right. Back to Edmonton. We talked about the crock. Right.
A lot of Edmonton. So we got to get a lot to Edmonton. Big concert up there. What was the concert, Jack? Your big country guy. Luke Combs.
Okay. Take care. Combs your hair. Check out what's happening on your way up.
at Commonwealth.
Another stadium.
Okay, everything's looking all right.
No,
hey, no, I like this song.
No, that's the second by a song.
Wang, wango, wang up.
Look, we got friends.
Oh, go.
Good.
There's a lot of guys that showed up in trucks
ready to fight here in this upper day.
Look at that.
It's Burton.
One more over there.
It's kind of a short-sleeved pink cowboy shirt.
He's not messing around.
He can come here to dance.
I love this kind of tan shirt.
He went in.
Yeah, I got what I need.
Now I'm just going to move.
I'm going to get out of here for the screen shoes up.
I like to watch.
So check it back in there.
Now I'll get it.
He hasn't gone here.
Look at all pink shirt.
He's like, yeah, I'm a pro rouse.
Hello?
Exactly.
He's a drunk wrestler.
Steer.
Steer rest.
Anyway, I hope it was a great concert, everyone.
Yeah.
It's part of you.
That's part of it.
We saw a lot of that in the last year.
Is everyone all camp there?
There is a lot of issue.
There is a lot of issue.
There is a lot of issue.
in that city.
I thought the rank
fixed them all.
Something's off.
Finally, I don't know
what league this is,
but I've never seen
this permanent umpire before.
You've got to get a signature call
for third strike.
Yeah, we've got the third strike,
arm up,
and then some sort of gyrating wrist
around his...
Turn to a...
It's good.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
that eyes. Yeah, he's doing the old.
He's pulling the chain.
He's rolling the dice.
Yeah.
He's down at the craft stable.
Is that the crap?
There's your Pinder report.
Trank and dope.
Tremendor.
Honda.
Northwest Auto Mall.
I'm not sure if they.
Some.
They wouldn't condone that.
Unsavory stuff today.
Yeah.
You know what?
That was out of the Pinda report.
The one before it was the end of it.
Apologies for the to Village Honda on our behalf.
On Ryan's behalf, he put it together.
Village Honda paying top dollar for your vehicle.
They got a million dollars to do it.
Sell them your vehicle.
They buy it.
They put it on the lot.
They sell it.
You get a tropical cruise to two.
Everybody wins.

Tropical cruise.
Village Honda.
You've been on a cruise?
I never have.
Retro?
Yeah.
Good.
I feel like you need to be older than what was.
It's the people you're with.
Oh, the company you keep.
That company.
Like most things.
because when things go sideways.
You can't get off the boat.
You're on a boat.
Yeah.
Boat.
So how long ago?
Give me the.
Oh,
long ago and I don't need to discuss it.
Was it an ex-proference?
Well, no, just so Alaskaan cruise.
Alaska and because it had to wear it.
Yeah.
Which again.
Summer.
I'm not.
Whatever.
The cruise was the least of my worries.
I'll say that.
How was the food?
How was the experience?
Let's just talk about the crew.
was good.
A little gambling.
Yeah.
I won some money gamble.
Was there a disco?
Did you go to the disco?
Didn't go to the disco.
I spent a lot of time in the gym.
Of course you did.
At the casino and alone.
Were you still playing?
Were you still playing?
You were playing.
This is totally an X.
Doesn't want to talk about it.
How were the,
how was the lodging situation?
It was tight.
Tight quarters.
Did you get one of those window views or maybe...
I had a window and I've almost got pushed out.
There you go.
Well, Tropical Cruz.
That's not a last one.
Totally different if you went Trump.
100% different.
If you want to sell your car.
Yeah, sell your card if you don't want the tropical cruise,
they're not going to force it.
It's going to be there.
It's your choice.
Honestly, you take wherever you want, okay?
Right?
Take your side piece next time.
So did you have an idea going in that things were going to go?
It had been rocky to begin with.
Yeah.
There's been rough waters.
Pigs and valleys.
Are I the only one that's like,
it's like the first day of the trip is when you have the blowout.
You're like, why do we do this now?
Like we're on a trip together.
We got five days.
We fucked this up out of the gate.
Can't we save our fight till the end of the trip?
Then you have to have the big, sorry.
Some things I should have said.
You know what?
That would be a good one.
The best we broke up on vacation or on a trip
and had to stick it out.
to the end of the trip story.
It always happens that way.
It happens that way.
The chauveler took off.
We were in Africa.
What was his name?
Had to get home.
Home?
Yeah, it was a couple of years ago.
She's in her car.
With some friends that we go camping with,
their cousin shows up with his girlfriend.
And we find out about day two.
It's like,
ah, yeah, things aren't going well between them.
Give them some space.
You're in a camper.
Like in the, like a bed.
Back of the truck kind of a
truck camper.
That's not ideal.
Well, if you're going to work it out.
If you can make...
Tight quarters.
Yeah, tight.
Tight quarters.
You'd rather be at the music festival
where there's lots of other people
and you just...
A small boat is not idea.
Africa, hey?
Africa.
Yeah.
That's small.
I mean...
Yeah, Cape Town.
Where could you really be?
Lots of red video today.
Another one coming in.
Shoveler.
Yeah.
you were saying how you're just kind of sitting around and you're bored
and your brother's not in town.
So I don't know how we got this.
But somebody was spying on you yesterday.
I mean, jet lagged coming in from Buffalo.
You're so tired to begin with.
And then the time change, you know, it's tough.
Sleep patterns just rocked, I bet.
More video from you, I guess on your couch yesterday.
I need to take another look.
at it here for outdoor dental and see just where if I if I remember correctly we don't
even really get a look at where you are we just get it's a very spring of tight it's
it's very tight close up of the hell you're talking about of you here is concerned
red that can't be oh it's sticky in there you hit that other octave there
It's got a falsetto snort.
It's harmony, yeah.
What do you can do with that unibrow?
I'd tackle that, eh?
Wax, shave, we did.
Look, it looks good today.
I'm making a call because this can't go on.
It's true.
Outdoor dental, if this looks or sounds familiar,
if that's you, this is you.
Outdoor.comdental is the website.
Dr. J. Patel is your guy.
snoring treatments.
Two 15-minute treatments with the Solea laser that they use for their dental, the dental work,
also now increases the tension in the soft palate, reduces snoring, non-surgical, pain-free.
You sleep more, you sleep better, people around you, you're happier, they're happier,
it's just a win-win, and it works.
Outdoor dental.
Dentistry with no needles, no drills, no stress.
Dental implant treatment can be kind of scary in all of that.
outdoor dental uses cutting edge dental technology to ensure that you're happy, healthy, and feel
confident in your results.
The Solea laser.
Go to their website and check it out.
There's a lot of literature, a lot of stuff out there.
But if you go right to the outdoor dental website, it shows you just exactly what everything is.
So whether it's the dental work that you need done and you'd like to not have the drills
and all that sort of stuff, or by all means, the snoring treatments.
Go and check them out.
Do both.
Who's going, I feel like we owe Dr. J.
visit. I think I volunteered for that.
I'll stick to my guns. But are you a
snorer? Yes. When you're not
drunk. You know what?
So those two days a week. What am I not drunk? Yeah, exactly.
I am. We could
get the, oh, yeah, what? To weigh
in, but she did take a video of me last summer.
Like one of those where it's like,
she's baffled by the sounds coming out.
It's like 30 seconds. You haven't breathed.
Totally. But that's coming up.
It's summer. Yeah.
Doesn't everybody
when they're bombed and passed out snore?
I think it's just a magnifying glass.
Everything just.
Yeah.
Because I worry that Dr. Jay, he's not a miracle worker.
No, but it's very helpful.
Go to the website.
It's worth a try.
Just listen to that garbage.
And even if it was a 50% improvement, I feel like you've done it.
Or if it happens.
Once or twice a week, probably not.
We'll do our Betway bets coming up here.
I was thinking yesterday, was it last night?
Did you see the video of?
Alec Manoa trying to
get the fair ball foul
little dribbler up the third baseline.
I avoided the video when I was at Kidball
and my phone wouldn't stop vibrating
from runs coming in from the Houston Astros
before the Jays could get two outs.
Yeah, it was that classic, like you see,
it's like bloopers from the 80s
where it's a dribbler down the third baseline
and the first baseline and the pitcher gets down
and tries to blow the ball.
That was Alec Manoa last night, literally
trying to blow.
Lucky for the Jays, these games don't matter.
It's still early.
It's still early.
They'd want to, what, seven of eight before this?
Seven and three in their last ten?
They're rough, though.
But Manoa, straight shit.
Yes, and all year.
You had the over on the Manoa strikes the other day, and I grimaced hard.
We should be taking advantage.
If he starts again, which is not a given, we've got to be on the other side of that.
I think Saturday is the next spot for him to start, and they have some duster and
buffalo.
They don't have a lot of good options.
Now, Ryu should be ready in July in theory.
None of their real good prospect arms have had hot starts.
This is a tough spot they're in.
One in six or one in seven, I think I saw this morning.
ERA over six.
Well,
like wins,
losses or whatever.
Like,
you can get four runs for him.
Like,
he's allowing a bunch.
Where's his,
where's mom?
She's still in the stands,
cheering,
wearing the jersey?
Oh,
that's been tough.
And the thing is,
is he hasn't really had any adversity as a professional.
Like,
he wins in Yankee Stadium in his MLB debut.
He's immediately a front of rotation guy.
He starts their first playoff game last year.
All-Star game.
Like,
votes last year. He's never
faced anything like this. He's a shit.
And he's been awful. So it's like,
what do you do? Is it like
back to single A? Is it like
bullpens? Is it like, you know,
get away from the game for two weeks? I don't know.
Take 10 days off.
Going on an Alaskan cruise.
Put things in perspective.
Go by yourself. It sounds like if you're going on
cruise is definitely enjoyable. Yeah.
Meet people there and if it doesn't
whatever, they can go back to their own room. So how big was the
Did you have one of it?
Because I've...
Did you get another room?
Did you start with one and end up with two rooms?
No, I thought about it.
Oh, boy.
Were you portside or was that after?
How does that work with the boats?
I don't.
I mean, there was a window and I could see the ocean.
Yeah.
I feel like the tone was stern.
Yeah.
I wonder how quick it would take for me to die in that cold water.
Because it would be better than this.
It's one of those things.
That's terrible, right?
I'm really sorry that happened to you.
Thanks, buddy.
That's an awful story.
One person gets in late and, like, quietly gets in the bed.
The other person gets up early in leaves, like just big, big gap.
Yeah.
Hey, this weekend, Saturday, UFC returns to Canada, returns to Vancouver.
Nunes Aldana.
Not one.
There's two belts over the shoulders of Amanda Nunes.
That's correct.
One of them is on the line in this, you can see there.
in this boat against Irana
Al-Donna and Charles
Olivera against Dariush,
the kind of double main event
on this card. This
Saturday, tickets available at Rogers
Arena, and probably more for our
purposes. I don't think I'm going to bake.
Well, you should think about it. I might.
You know, I'm not saying. I was actually just thinking.
Why don't you guys charter a flight together?
Driver.
I mean,
when you're making nine figures.
Yeah.
If you get some of that live money, yeah, you just get to call your pilot.
UFC 289 this Saturday.
Get it on pay-per-view.
It's, uh, and we talked about it earlier, the thing I'll take down, but also one of the best
up-and-coming Canadian fighters, Mike Malott, he is on the card against American Adam
Fuget.
So those are the three scraps.
And there's, they got a whole bunch of Canadians on this card.
Um, some of it you'll see for free.
But then, of course, you're going to want to get the pay-per-view to get the, uh, the main
match.
The two belts.
This Saturday.
Double belt.
Double belt.
I'm not going to Florida.
No, Vancouver, quick and easy.
Even after seeing the Canucks with that commanding 2-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-1, you're not going to Florida,
like you could be missing out on the Cinderella finish.
I'll go to game six.
Okay, for enough.
Yeah, we've got options.
We talked about this.
We leave this options open.
In the bathroom.
What happened there?
Camera was out of focus.
Jack needed to work on that, and I had like eight coffees and didn't piss.
I was hoping you got food.
It was going to start.
Yeah.
You guys didn't notice it?
I can't see shit, Jack.
Fair enough, yeah.
I was acting up.
Was it kind of.
Yeah, I was trying to focus.
What they call that?
Breathings.
Focus breathing.
Focus breathing.
Yeah.
Yours is just fine.
That's great.
Can you show us your earhole?
Okay.
People that don't watch on the YouTube,
they really do miss a lot.
And at the same time,
they're not really missing that much.
Look at that backdrop.
Folks, I'll tell you what.
We don't want.
to show you too much because it's kind of like Hollywood.
It's the, it's Tinseltown in here.
You know how AI can like finish photos now?
I'd like to see what AI would put around.
Yeah.
That's another janky shit on the wall.
Yeah.
That's probably good.
Let's do our Betway Betts.
Great quality there, Ron.
Thanks.
Get to the one out of here.
Get that out here.
Betway bets.
Now, you mentioned about the Blue Jays and how they imploded.
What they got,
seven pitchers last night, I believe.
I don't think they got to position player,
but they burned,
a lot of arms in the bullpen, six relievers and one out from Manoa.
Gosman today for the Js, they are taking on the Astros once again.
I am going to take the stroes based on the, like you say, the workload, that tired
bullpen.
They're back there.
They're yawning.
They're stretching.
They're drinking energy drinks.
They're just so gas.
Jack.
Yeah.
Plus 110 for a money line Houston victory.
Gosman, he's been very good.
total outs 18 and a half.
So six and two thirds is over,
six and a third is under.
I'm going to take the under.
It's right there,
but I'm going to take.
And Guasman,
Guasman, Guasman.
Guasman.
I'm also got some Gosman bets.
I'm going on the other way.
Or Guasman, which one?
Well, we'll see.
Guasman.
Not guzman.
He has been absolutely money this year.
Strikeouts,
I think he had 11 his last outing.
I've got him over 8K and a little sprinkle on over 10Ks
been the best pitcher.
And yeah, I think he's leading the American League of Strikeouts.
Good at that.
That way bets today.
Betway bets of the day.
Get the Betway app on your phone.
Play along in Ontario, 19 years of age over.
Bet, uh,
the responsible way, retro pet, the responsible way.
So no game tonight or tomorrow.
two-day break for the Stanley Cup final.
NBA's tomorrow?
NBS tonight, isn't it?
No, tomorrow.
Is it?
Wednesday.
Miami, Denver, back in Miami.
1-1.
Big Hoops guy?
Big Hoops guy.
What are you going to have to?
Like something that you're really going to have to think about
how I'm going to approach watching this game tomorrow.
I thought it was tonight.
I couldn't remember.
I think that's how it dialed in.
I am on.
Guasman has 100-strived.
strikeouts on the season.
Guasman, look, he's been an ace.
I mean, he's no cacucci, but hey.
No, no, he couldn't be.
So, uh, that's going to do it for the show today, fellas.
It's going to do it for the show today.
And, uh, we should tease you a little.
We are working around the clock behind the scenes here.
Yeah.
Get ready for the summer of Barber.
More of that work going in today and Thursday.
Right.
Less shows.
But more stuff.
Better shows.
Better shows, but less shows, but more shows.
That's how it goes.
Pretty clear, right?
For sure.
Thanks to everybody for checking things out.

I mean, it's another one of those things.
As we get through, we still haven't been doing this a year,
but as we get the right people in place,
we get things working the way that they should,
there's going to be more and more reason to go to that YouTube page,
more content, more dumb stuff is going to be popping up on there.
I might do some cooking this one.
Yeah, buddy, I have another thing.
plan for this week. The other thing we've been
seeing is the barbren of beer gear
the merch is getting around the little.
