You're not asking for too much at 9%. not to, you know, throw it all on him, but he has not, Alan pretty heavily because he hasn't been the bell cow they thought he could be. Another instinctual comment. Instincts.

GMs, coaches. If you see guys that have whined in a previous gig or location, shoo-shu-fuck off. Does that like tic-de-boo? That is like, they, I want no part of you. Read deep into that. Read deep. Hmm. O Mark was a Puts in Buffalo.

And then last year was 900. This year he's at 888. The starts are, at 35 starts for Markstrom, 28 for Jake Allen. Now maybe some of that is injury related. Markstrom does get dinged up here and there. Yeah. But when you feel like you're getting as good a performance or baby better, you don't need to, you know, belkow this guy.

Those days seem like they're over for Jacob Marks. If you were Craig Conroy, you might have picked the top of the market for him as well, given that you probably weren't moving him until Wolf was ready. But there was enough on his track record for the Devils to be like, we're getting our ace here. And he hasn't been that since he got there. Interestingly, I'm looking it up. League save percentage this year for the first time since 95, 96.

has dropped below 900. Like it's... Numbers there. Lots. Mm-hmm. So it's a bad year for him. But I think we used to think 9-10, 9-10, 9-0-5 was average. Now it's under 900, which is wild, but he still haven't...

But the point of it is that you didn't pick up Markstrom to come in and be an average goal. No, never mind below average, which he's been. Yeah, I'm with you. Yeah. He was going to bump you and get you over the top. He was supposed to take you to the promised land. And I'll be on. That was one of his best signing. Yeah, he was the top of the market free agent, him and Tanna of the same summer. They were, if you were looking for a goalie, the Oilers were that summer as well. He took a touch less to come to Calgary.

Like, that was a good signing. And at the end of it, you flip them for what ends up being Rushney and Ball. That looks pretty good. Yeah. The other thing is too. You're number two center for a long time. Yeah. Top four defensemen for a long time.

And we kind of get bogged down in it sometimes. As soon as things are done, we move past them very quickly. Like you say, was that top of market? hard to tell. It seems like there should be a lot of teams out there that would want a goaltender at that time. Drake and Marksman was viewed as a top tier gold tender.

They don't come off and become available very often. Yeah. He's 36 years old. It would have been another aging guy that Conroy would then have to be dealing with if he would have put it off or... And Wolf was right. You had to give Wolf a kick at the can at that point.

He just dominated the A for three years and it's like, okay, like can we clear the path? We have to figure out if this kid's something or not. Godroy is brilliant. That's all it is. It's all it was. Connie Fiddons. It's ever going to be.

There's, there was another stat I saw. Since the trade of Rasmus Anderson to Vegas, nobody has fewer regulation wins, wins than Vegas. They're terrible losses, one of the two. They're not good. Nope.

They're out of the playoffs in any other division. Isn't that wild? They're not disjointed. And totally beatable. Yep. Now, maybe they crank it up like Edmonton, may have just done in the last week, but it is not inspiring. I'm just

looking here at the devil's tomorrow. I'm more of the Rocky Balboa type guy where it's the, I have the Tiger, the young guys coming up that are going to step it up and put a charge on like Seattle who we don't like, San Jose who we love. I look at those teams and go, they're more likely.

Anaheim. Yeah. Well, Anaheim's already in and leading a charge. I think they're going to I'm saying to take a spot from Edmonton or Vegas. I think What are the dumb kids. Remember, like if you're under 25, you're an idiot. You don't even know. The brain doesn't even work right.

And we go back, not to say that should they have done the trade or not, what is Raspus Anderson's mindset right now?

Yeah, because we thought an extension was automatic. Now, it's still Vegas and Texas. taxes and climate and building and it's still Vegas. But it doesn't feel, to me, from a million miles away, quite as automatic as we thought it was going to be. 100%. Two things. Is Vegas in love with Rasmus Anderson? Now, I don't think Raspus Anderson has anything to do with Vegas's wins or losses,

which maybe is a, you know, a knock on his play. Maybe that's the idea is you're supposed to come help him. But Pinder brought it up all year. They have not won games in regulation. have not played well. Like they haven't been a dominant force. No. And is Vegas won him back?

I would think when you went there at that vent at that juncture, you're like, I'm going to a contender. This is going to be great. Maybe you just say, okay, it's not pretty, but we're already. But you might be able to grind him for less than what he hoped to get. Maybe. And if he feels like they're trying to grind him, he's like, well, I know what I can get from Boston.

Imagine if he gets less than what the flames would have offered him when they were still doing that song and dance? Yeah, that didn't sound like that serious this year. But yeah. But again. Yeah. Surprising how average and below average at times he's looked since joining Vegas in 15 games outscored 2011 at 5 on 5. That's not good. You're supposed to be at sea level at worst when you're on a team like that. They're goal-tending shit too. Yep.

Like they just don't have, like they don't have a wave of top talent so much as they found some nice role players. They're like, we're going to go big game hunting and trade and free agency and then we'll backfill depth with our system rather than, oh, we'll just wait until this kid arrives. Well, we've praised them for their approach to go after it and to run their team a certain stuff. but now are we going to do we have to step back and raise an eyebrow and go okay wait a minute this this is maybe

not ideal maybe this isn't how you run a new age franchise it's a hell of a run but if you told me their window was starting to close i could be sold on it the flip side is they still got some really impactful players like when you said they do but doesn't sorry i'm older than you but not by a bunch when i was playing the i'm serious this like the leaves and the rangers had all kinds of of money. He may not have to, I guess, but he's with. You have to at some point wonder about Stone's longevity for playing hockey. And I speak to that again, like I speak about TANF where it's like, you will have to have a life after hockey. You've done one hell of a job with your career. You've made a ton of dough. We love you.
