Hello, friends. Welcome to Barnburner on a Tuesday.
I believe it's Tuesday. It's the 9th of June.
The 9th of June. Mays over then?
If it's to the...
Okay.
So we're halfway through the year?
Here, I've been signing checks. I've still been doing 2025.
Remember you had to do that back in the days of doing check writing?
What is it? What's the date today? That's the date?
Do you ever write a check, Jack? Did you ever...
I don't think I've ever written a check.
check.
Yeah.
Receive checks.
You ever get a travelers check?
Is that what they were called?
Boom.
Yeah,
they were travelers checks.
What do you,
I forget,
what do you call it when,
like if you buy a car or something,
you got to go to the bank and get a bank draft.
I guess a bank draft.
Yeah.
They kind of do that for you.
Anyway,
good talk, guys.
That's on me.
This show is a presentation of Bet365.
Check out,
Bet365's three goal early payout.
Your team goes up by three.
You get paid.
It's that simple.
Download the app today.
must be 19 or older.
Please play responsibly.
Ah, the super chat is up and rolling money that comes in.
How it works?
We're on the YouTube live.
If you're watching live, you put a comment into the comment section with a little bit
of dough with the super chat option.
The money goes to the U.S.
enders of Calgary and then we put your comment on the show.
Usually at the end.
But who knows, maybe we'll drop them in and throw out the show.
This show might go so fast.
You might have to just spot them in as you can.
Yeah, you never know.
You never know.
And of all days for
for for for for for for all for for for for for for for for for for for
it.
I mean,
there's a Stanley Cup final game tonight.
Um, Pete Laviolette who, uh,
he clearly said well, you know, it's,
it was one of those pender things.
He came on and kind of at least to me it sounded like.
Made it sound like Peter Lavillette was washed up.
He was guys want to play off round a next number of years,
whatever, whatever.
Um, so the kings have hired him.
And Mike Babcock, kind of in that same category, hasn't want to play off around in
whatever, whatever is looking like he's set to become the coach of the Edvinson Oilers.
What a, uh, what a day.
What a, what a wild time we live in.
What a wonderful world.
I can't decide that Laviea let our opinion of him is significantly different than
pinners.
I think he's a really good coach.
Yeah.
I'm surprised he.
Not surprised he's getting another job.
the Babcock thing is mind-blowing.
Like I don't know what to think.
I got friends in Saskatchewan that are good buddies with Mike Babcock,
and they see he is a gem of a guy,
and I've had nothing but good interactions with Mike.
That's not the consensus.
No, it is not.
That is the minority.
My only dealings with him have been through the media.
So I can't tell you one way or the other.
He wasn't always the...
cocky, arrogant guy that you see now,
or at least that we've seen recently,
when I was in the Western League,
he was in the Western League.
I didn't see a ton of him,
but he was very gracious with his time.
He was a very nice guy.
You'd chat with him before you,
went on TV,
and then afterwards he'd shoot the shit with you during war.
Yeah, he's down-to-earth normal guy
and had the great run with the Anaheim Ducks
when he got into the NHL,
then goes to Detroit,
has success there.
Now, would any coach have had success with those teams?
Maybe, maybe not.
I don't know.
The success is what it is.
He goes,
coach his team Canada to victories on the world stage goes to Toronto.
And I guess it's a, I don't know, is it a disaster?
I don't know what it is, but it's the stuff that isn't his coaching record that is what people talk about.
It's almost a legendary story with Mitch Marner,
how he asks the kid to make a list of the players.
who are in the worst shape.
And then he goes in front of the locker room and says,
here's the guys that,
here's what Mitch thinks,
who's fat and out of shape.
Not great.
I'm not a great thing to do.
Then leaves,
having made all the money,
the highest paid coach in,
I think still in the NHL history,
goes to Columbus and doesn't get,
I don't even think he got on the ice for training camp,
did he?
It was,
it was over.
He wanted to look in guys' phones and see,
weird.
That never made sense what
played out in Columbus. I do not
no, it was no good. This is going to be
a disaster, Jack.
The, uh, you know,
it all kind of started on the spitting chicklets
where it was biz.
Biz kind of came out says, I'm hearing some stuff
in, in Columbus and it's no good.
That he's going in and looking at photos.
And if you don't give the phone, it's
odd, peculiar
behavior and he ended up resigning in Columbus so he never really had to face any
what you would call comeuppance I guess in that but we'll get into it I guess in the Pinder
report welcome to the boom and jack show today on on Barnburner
Pinder is golfing and red is on the moon without the internet so that's how the show
will go today this will be this will be a free one here on the get the starlight
I think, Rhett has Starlink.
That's what we're working with.
He was quite excited for it.
So, uh, yeah, we just learned that like 10 minutes ago.
You got Starlink.
So, uh, how do you know what's, how is it?
This was right before we were getting ready to go on.
How do you know your internet speeds any good?
Uh, well, do you know how to do an internet, uh, speed check?
You can go, well, I went on that.
That's all the speed check we need.
That's the test that, uh, that we need.
Uh, my guess is that's not great.
So we'll get into it.
We can get into it today.
People are asking if we're going to have Mike Commodore
on the show today.
No, we're not going to have Mike on the show.
I would guess Mike's plate is filled.
And also, my guess is, you know, how
commie's going to feel about it.
I'm guessing his stance hasn't softened.
I would think for Commodore, you got to just at some point,
you just got to put your weapons down.
It's kind of like with Pinder, fight to the death.
on a on a defense.
Okay,
we get it.
Maybe well earned and deserved the hatred that he has for Babcock,
but I don't think there's anything new in the,
uh,
Commodore versus Babcock stuff.
But there's lots of stories retro about,
about Babs.
And I know that I'm,
and you kind of said,
you're kind of caught in the middle because your dealings with him have been good.
He's been a good guy.
But the coach Mike Babcock certainly has his detractors.
I guess flip it a bit rather than what has Babcock done or what hasn't he done, is he a good guy?
Is he not a good guy?
What does it say to you about the Oilers?
Okay, see you later.
This is something, boom.
I'm going to pretend to my internet's no good either.
Well, I guess I'll ask myself, what do I?
To me, it speaks of pure desperation on behalf of the Oilers.
We can look at the tweets that went out yesterday, and this was from Dregs.
The Emmington Oilers are consulting with the NHLPA to see if there are objections that must be resolved before potentially hiring Mike Babcock.
Amid allegations of invading players' privacy, Babcock resigned in Columbus as head coach in 2023.
Further investigation may be required.
If it's determined, an investigation is required to move forward sources, say the NHL would manage it.
The NHLPA has declined.
So no one's really talking about it.
It really took, it caught fire yesterday.
A lot of the people, you know, the Bob Stauffers, Jason Gregors, the guys up in
Edmonton, Ryan Rashog, this is the Oilers guy.
This is who they want.
They want to hire him.
They're going to do what they can to get this through.
Now, you know, the NHL were exactly, it wasn't working for the Oilers when the
oilers said, well, we'd like.
Cassidy, can you do anything there? What's the deal? And it sounds like the Bettmans and Bill Daley's of
the world have said, well, it's kind of a contract thing. They're the lawyers, right? They have the
lawyer legal background. So they would know as much as anybody else. So it seems like clearly
the Cassidy thing isn't going to happen. Then the notion was brought up. Do you maybe just find
an interim, like a one year fix? Maybe you would have kept non-block. Can you do that with Connor
McDavid on with the clock's loudly ticking.
I don't know that you can just bring in a coach or install somebody and then we'll get
Cassidy in a year.
That doesn't feel like that's going to work.
So now they've pivoted here.
I don't know that LaVuette was ever a big option.
It didn't sound like it.
And now it's Mike Babcock.
I don't know what you think of Babcock as a coach.
He's well decorated, but he hasn't won anything in a long time.
his reputation has been absolutely raked across the coals and it feels like desperation.
It feels like he's a guy that's going to be able to handle the scrutiny and the spotlight and all that,
all the shit that comes into it.
But it's a wild, it's a wild story.
And I know I was watching Gregor's clip yesterday and he's basically saying this is this is so desperate.
this is just pure desperation on behalf of the Oilers.
It feels like there's a lot of coaches out there,
but this is they couldn't.
This is a short list if Babcock is of more controversial choices
that they could possibly possibly go for.
Let's try you. Have we got you?
I believe so.
I see you. I see you.
I was just going to ask what you thought from the Oilers standpoint.
We can talk about what Babcock is or isn't,
but I've just kind of walked through it.
They wanted Cassidy, they couldn't get them,
but now they got to fire knob lock because it looks bad.
And then Babcock, in some respects,
he's got a ton of experience and he can handle the pressure.
And on a flip side,
it feels like this feels kind of,
if not totally desperate for Edmonton.
100% desperate.
Like it's like they're overthinking it.
to the
degree. I don't
the Cassidy thing
made sense. He's not, I don't think
he was loved and he wears him short
like some coaches do, but I don't
know where Babcock's name came back into
the fray. Like I don't know how
it re-entered.
I know that
it reeks of desperation, in my opinion.
And I, again, I've got no
ill will towards Mike Babcock.
But I don't know where
he won in Detroit with elite talent
for Anaheim was a
did a good job coach
that's a hell of a run
but I don't know that he's pushed teams
to more success than they would have
you know what I mean is he being the catalyst
when I watch Anaheim
I think Joel Quinville did one
of a job getting that team to play good hockey
yeah I don't know where I can point
to Mike having that kind of influence on a hockey team.
Yeah, would those Detroit teams have had the same success?
A lot of Hall of Famers there.
Those team Canada's would hit, would they have won?
Pretty good teams.
But if you flip it, it's like, hey, it's somebody had to coach them and he was the guy and
they won.
So in the spirit of bad internet's signals, we now check in with our oiler hater correspondent,
Ryan Pinder, who is also in the woods.
This is my favorite show ever.
Ellis, how are we?
We're good, Ryan. How are you?
Great. Just excited for the Oilers to get a really well-established coach who's got a track record and a pedigree of winning and definitely has done things the last seven years and was a candidate everywhere else.
He's obviously a great candidate.
He's been applying everywhere.
and definitely was seen as a normal person to interview for this job.
See, ordinarily, I'm loath to go to you when you're not in studio and that sort of thing.
But the story wouldn't be complete without you chiming in and hearing your completely unbiased take on the Oilers coaching search.
Well, I mean, I just, has anyone else even talked to him for since the Columbus, let me look at your phone nonsense?
Like, no, it was touch, it was 10 foot pole stuff for a long time.
And I know it was probably, I could probably text director.
He had reached out to him.
It sounded like about maybe a month, six weeks ago.
And text is like, hey, is there any, he's like, drags, I'm retired.
I'm loving life.
Was kind of the story that Drager rolled out.
I don't know whether I want it to happen or whether I don't want it to happen.
I mean, what we know is that they would much rather if you put them in the spot,
a year ago have Chris Knoblock than Mike Babcock.
But they continue to twist themselves in a pretzel.
And look, the Cassidy stuff no one saw coming.
I think it'd be a great fit there.
But it feels like Laviolet picked somewhere else.
And I just feel like they have pigeonholed themselves into a spot where a candidate they would have no interest in is suddenly seemingly their best option, which is great.
This is all we've wanted in Calgary.
Find a way to have a decade with McDavid and win nothing.
Like it was touching go for a while there, but I feel very comfortable.
with Babs of the helm. Let's go. Sign it today.
It's, I mean, you kind of talk about the fumbling a dynasty or whatever.
But I mean, even for us, Rhett, it feels like you guys are fucking this up.
What's Carter thinking?
The, the, the, the, Carter takes less money so they can sign key players and they don't
really do that very well. And this is, this feels like pure desperation. And I, I, I, I just,
wonder what's McDavid thinking. I know that Rishog
was talking yesterday. He's like this
you obviously would have talked to all of the
guys in the room and the guys would be for it.
Are they
really going to come? I don't
know how that's expected to go.
What are they selling when they go talk to
those guys? Are they, are they asking?
I think they're asking.
What do you think about like Babcock?
And what's a player's response to me? I don't know.
It doesn't, hasn't gone over well anywhere
else. Let's go get them.
I'm going to hit a T-shot here, fellas.
Give me a second.
Oh, God.
Here.
See if I can't switch this camera around.
Yeah, we'll give us a camera round.
Hand the phone to somebody so we can watch this shit.
Yeah.
I'll just show.
Where's my bag?
I'm back.
We're here in the, John,
but we're here in the McLeodlaw LLP Studios today.
This is technology.
How far to the corner there?
Well,
what we all in?
Tell the camera guy to shut the hell up.
Who's working the camera?
Rusty on the camera here.
Brusty.
Hey, Brusty.
Two scales here.
Frigan Brusty.
One of the best puck playing goaltenders in W.HL history.
Brusty, I remember when you guys, you were with the hip, and I was working in Red Deer, and you guys were in a series in the playoffs.
And I remember talking to D. Suts, old, to D. Suts.
Brian.
I believe that's in the woods.
We're going to have to, uh, we're going to have to, uh, we're going to have to, uh,
because Rusty, Rusty plays the puck like a son of a bitch.
Like, we're going to have to keep the puck away from Rusty.
Keep the burgers away from Rusty.
Legend.
How to go?
How to, how to, how to go?
Where are we?
I thought they were waiting for me.
I didn't know.
So he's got that rip, but we're a little.
Water show.
Fine.
Three under three five or whatever.
Let's go, boys.
Yeah, let's go.
Let's go.
I'll say this, in terms of the Babcock thing,
I've not heard of any other names that were candidates there.
Did you?
In Edmonton?
Yeah, like it was Cassidy or bust.
And then in the last week to 10 days, it seemed like,
I'm not sure that's going to happen.
You don't know that I.
Ruby.
Thanks.
I'll say this.
We had kind of kicked around.
Daryl Sutter's name, almost in jests.
Like there's a guy up there.
That would be better than this, Brett.
100% better.
If Daryl Sutter was going into Edmonton Day,
we would be rattled in a bad way.
With Mike Babcock,
we're kind of like, okay, this is interesting.
He gives us lots to talk about.
With Big D, it would be like, what a, that's a great fine.
You're not going to question it.
And maybe we're wrong in questioning it at all anyway.
you said it he's got a track record but there is a lot of baggage yeah on that bus like just
they're just and and no one's talking about it and it just looks like I'm sorry from afar if you're not
an oiler's honk and have the tat to on your face yeah you're going what the up are these guys
doing yeah I can't imagine that anybody is feeling like this is a a stroke of genius that they're
bringing a hall of fame coach in to be the final piece of
of the puzzle.
Like how did they coax this guy out of retirement?
This is amazing.
What to find.
Like there's no.
Everyone's going.
And the thing with the Oilers in non-pinder.
Yeah.
Conversation.
They could still win.
They've got McDavid and Drysidal and they've got Bouchard.
Like there's a lot of talent there.
Hyman.
But that doesn't look like they're.
helping themselves at all. Well, it's two things that they could really need help.
They need help with, it would seem. And maybe not even so much coaching, but they need a coach.
They're making a coaching change. And I don't think they've addressed it here. And they need
goaltending and they have not addressed that yet. So they can do all the other stuff. But man,
this is how that goes. And it may well go that way. I am curious, though, what the NHL is going to
say. I don't think they're going to keep Babcock out. I'm guessing if it came down to it.
And if Darrell Cates is like, listen, this is my guy. They're going to allow it. But Babs
do anything illegal, but what it was because he resigned in Columbus. He wasn't fired and then
had to, you know, go through the path of redemption. And I've talked to, I'm a changed per, all that
sort of stuff that you usually hear about. And it might be all be bullshit anyway. But rather
than face the music to what happened there, he just left.
So I don't know if there would need to be some legal hoops or public image things that Babs
would have to do in order to make that a go.
But it did not end well in Columbus, to be sure.
It didn't start.
Yeah, it started poorly and went, uh, yeah, it went worse from there.
People in, are in the chat, they're like, yeah, Darrell said,
Listen, we're sitting here.
Maybe Daryl doesn't want to coach.
Maybe Daryl's had enough coach.
And maybe he's happy.
He's got grandkids.
He's got family.
Maybe he doesn't want to do it.
He's 67 years old, which is not old.
Babs is 63.
He's got gas in the tank, would be my guess, as if it came down to it.
Do you want to go to Edmonton with the best player in the world and one of the other best players in the world and help get them over the
the hump and to a fan base and it reeks of something that Daryl would take on as a challenge,
which again, I almost don't like to talk about it because there would be some.
It would get a little angsty for sure if you're not wanting them to,
wanting them to win.
We jumped right in.
Retro, where are you right now?
People want to, are you in the outhouse?
Are you sitting on the, are you on the biff?
What do you tell Jack to do in the morning?
His, uh, yeah, his attitudes or.
whatever that.
Yeah, yeah.
Your Costanza sweater on.
People want to know what the sweater is?
I was in my trailer because it was raining.
Yeah.
But apparently the internet crapped out.
And so then I came to the deck at my brother's place.
I see.
Yeah, because people were in the chat.
Retro, you should get Starlink.
It was like, yeah, that's what he went and got starlink.
That's what I got.
A lot of trees.
I don't know.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
What's your brother got?
I have no idea, but he's in a, he's in a more clear area.
Like he's not covered in the tree.
He's got access to the skies.
Maybe he's got one of those things that you bounce the signal, whatever they get the repeaters.
Maybe he's got a repeater or something up there.
You'll have to get the Warner Tower, you know, because his show.
I'll climb a tree.
It's some, I'll climb a tree today at some point.
Yeah.
So are you out there?
Are you a solo?
Have you got a kid with you?
kids or pals.
I was begging for a boat.
I got a boat.
I had to haul it down rather than park it in front of my house.
So yeah dumped that thing and I'll be back later today.
Nice.
They're getting both away, Dean how it hauled it is a good hauling boat or?
Fuel, uh, consumption.
Ooh.
Just to haul it.
Yeah.
Oh, baby.
Yeah.
That's good stuff.
And then I hear the, I think we talked about the, uh, the boats themselves also run
on the same fuel.
Is that how it goes?
Yeah, it's a recycling type of thing.
The sun and the oil and the water, it all mixes together.
Yeah, it's good.
Yeah.
Happiness and sunshine is, I think what Pinder said the other day.
No, Pinder is at the, I think it's the, uh, it's the stampeter charity golf tournament today.
This is their buy week.
Again, it's a little CFL.
They play week one and then you got to buy in week two.
Um, but whatever.
So they are having their little charity.
They're little charity event.
They're having their charity golf outings.
So Pender's a part of that.
We said we had a John Bender's sighting and Barry Brest here on the on there.
So there has to be a lot of people talking about this Babcock thing.
I just massive.
Yeah.
Right.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And I think knowing Gary, he'll be sour that this is happening during the cup final.
I think there's a bit of an unwritten thing.
If you're doing a signing or if there's something.
going on. If it's pressing, then do it. But if we can wait till after it's two weeks. Can you
hold off for two weeks? And generally they do. This is not Edmonton throwing it out there,
but it's, it's Edmonton effing it up again, though. They've got no, they're very, they come
across as extremely arrogant in their approach to what they don't, they just think everybody's
going to, the Cassidy thing. Well, we're going to talk to.
Yeah.
No.
You're not.
Well, shit.
Now we've got to fire it.
Oh, okay.
And they could have waited.
Why the F,
were they release?
Like,
I don't know how it gets out,
but it should be ironclad that this is not going on.
Game four of the Stanley Cup finals is on tonight,
and we're talking about Babcock.
How good for the lead,
I don't think.
It's inevitably going to get out because of the profile of McDavid
and Babb,
just the whole thing.
Because it is.
It's a juicy thing.
backcock has met with i was because i was watching bob stop for i've watched again those guys
they they do great work up there and we take shots at the always those guys they they cover that
team as well as anybody covers a team uh that the owner has met and talked with babcock and babcock
has either met or had multiple conversations with the leadership group inside the room and all that
if you're taking if you're flying are you doing that sort of thing it takes one guy in an airport
to see you and then it comes out and that's a tough one to keep under under wraps for sure
well he's not flying to edmonton to meet with macdavit like are they all hanging out in
edmonton for the festivals this summer no i don't think so right yeah no but i maybe if you're
if you're meeting somebody's flying somewhere i don't get gary won't be happy is is what you need to
know we can probably leave it at that i suppose
for now. I want to tell you a little bit.
I'm not a goalie, but I always, because I brought this up before when you're
could have talked to Bresti, when you're a goalie, or if you're a kid,
how cool is the gear? Oh.
You get the pads and everything else.
It's so cool. For goalies looking to elevate their game, we're talking about
adrenaline sources for sports, the Supreme Goalie Collection.
It's the all-new Supreme Fuse goalie collection, available now at adrenaline source for sports.
The lineup features fuse goal pads blocker, catcher, chest protector, each engineered for elite performance and enhanced mobility.
The fuse catcher designed with a wide profile pocket reaches the maximum size allowed in pro leagues.

most you're gearing up for a high performance season of explore the bower supreme fuse goalie
collection today at adrenaline source for sports 9309 mcclough trail south and in the northland
village mall i forget which goal i forget which goal it doesn't matter but i being a being an
idiot and a dummy i don't know how it goes i figure you're going to want to break these pads in and
practice like a lot of things you could have to wear him in practice you're just going to jump in and then it's
the flips like no no no these things are so great right out of the box as soon as
the ones i'm using in practice it in games as soon as they start to get a little i got to get
out of them i want the new ones they're crisp it's the the way goalie stuff is made now you
want the new stuff that's the new stuff yeah they're not horse hair or moose no i don't
think so they're not putting moose uh moose hair in the uh in the pads anymore so there you go
you can check that out uh we got a we got a hockey game tonight
I don't want to speak badly of, but if, because the weather's supposed to turn real crap.
Is it raining down there?
You're at the, the cook.
It's, but it's, it's, but it's, it's sunny right now.
So it's, but it.
Yeah, it was kind of spring here this morning.
If Mother Nature wants to just open up the skies a little bit here, made like late,
out early afternoon to bid and we cancel all the, uh, kid baseball for tonight.
Oh, it'd be all right.
I mean, that's be fine with me.
Sure.
I had to stay home tonight and not going.
Sit outside in the cold and rain.
I'd be all right.
It's a big one tonight, right?
Big game.
Stanley Cup final.
Must win for one team?
Kind of feels like it.
I don't know for it too.
I don't even know if it can win.
So I know Pinder was trying to say how close it is, but in my opinion, it's not.
I think that Vegas has done what they needed to do when they needed to do it.
Yeah.
And yes, it's been one goal games, but it's been more.
of a oopsies.
It is very pender, right?
Because you and I talk, boy, it feels like Vegas and he's just got to go the other way,
which I guess I appreciate.
But he can't feel that way.
I think he just needs to argue with us.
And maybe he says what,
Vegas has been very comfortable here.
That's what I think.
Carolina is trying to keep up, not control the game.
Again, we talked about the four-goals comeback.
It didn't feel like it was like, holy shit.
shit they're just hanging on this Vegas team it was like boom boom oh what happened yeah it wasn't a
Carolina is just putting their will on the ice and say well you can't keep up with us yeah
Vegas has been just fine in this series and obviously once they once they took off they've been
fine they've been doing it I didn't realize really because I haven't paid that close attention
because I haven't been looking for reasons why Vegas is struggling I
Pavel Dorofiev, who is tremendous, he hasn't had a point since game two against Colorado.
He has got zero in his last five.
It's been as much as I have liked Jack Eichols game, he had an assist the other night.
And I think he's right into it.
He's playing 20 plus a night.
He's got two points in the three games.
He hasn't scored.
He's got two goals in the playoffs.
Doesn't have maybe the points in this series that you would expect.
But Vegas is in control to me without two of their top guys being really impactful offensively.
Whereas on the other side, Caroline's, please, could somebody step up?
And they got those, they got those quick goals in a hurry there.
But it's still to me, I just don't see Sebastian Aho being a force.
I think it's been stankoven.
I'm the guy who to me how Jordan stall has had an unbelievable playoff he recognizes it say I better get this done now moment I think oh yeah yeah and he's capable he's out real he's been awesome you respect what he's doing out there he's 37 years old right and he's he's doing things every single game that are helping their cause and even for a guy like him who'd be a great leader you got to be looking at
looking around at ahoh and he had a couple assists the other but guys fellas let's go yeah but you
if that's all fine good it the problem is that Vegas is not allowing them to go but yeah
pender pinder is not wrong in the well it's one goal games and overtimes it's like oh yep that's
yeah that's very true as well or i just have an opinion that Vegas when they play
They're in control of the situation.
I don't know that Carolina has an answer.
And they came out and got the lead in game one.
But to me, they have not controlled the pace of play.
They haven't been driving the bus.
And Vegas has changed tonight.
The one worry I would have if I'm Vegas is that heart hasn't been as good.
Right?
I'm not blaming him for things.
I know.
Yeah.
But make some saves.
Make some saves.
Are you getting fatigued?
It's been a hell of a run.
That would be the one fear I would have if I'm a Vegas fan.
And it was, a lot of it was.
Yeah, neither goalies.
Well, we're kind of waiting because they'll be getting on the ice for morning skate.
I got to believe it's Brandon Bussie.
I looked this morning on Bet365 in the app and they've got Bussie odds and they've got him basically installed.
as the guy tonight.
Rod Brindamore said yesterday that he knows who it's going to be,
but he doesn't,
he doesn't get to keep many secrets anymore,
so he's not telling anybody,
but he was practicing yesterday as the guy who was going to start the game.
So that's what I'd do,
but it also reeks of desperation.
It also reeks of what we were saying.
It feels like Vegas is in control.
Yeah.
Yeah, it does.
Sorry, I'm just writing something down here that I don't want to forget.
Jack, how are you today?
I'm doing good, boys.
It's a little weird doing shows in my bedroom.
I feel like I haven't done one of these in a while.
Got your clothes on at least?
Yeah, I got some clothes on.
See, with a big Hot Jack summer,
I thought you were putting on a lot of shows in your bedroom.
I thought it was a spectator sport in there.
No, no, no.
Not yet.
Paper view.
I tell you, you could really make some dough there.
I see what these people are doing with the only fans.
But we don't want to lose you.
I don't need you to do.
Start doing that.
They're going to sign them too, aren't they?
What's that, Babs?
Babs?
A hundred percent.
Yeah.
Unless the league does some, unless they's,
but I feel like they've already kind of given
the Heisman on the Cassidy thing.
Like they're not going to force Vegas
to do something that's contractually in the right
to do. But again, I don't know what
the league can do. Babcock
wasn't suspended.
No. No.
Right? What are you going to retroactively
go after a guy?
I don't.
There are other guys and I don't need to drag it.
There are other coaches who
it felt like they need, there were some things they needed
to do before they came back.
you know, Joel Quinville's one, but he did those things.
And then he's, you know, then he was back.
Maybe Babcock has to do something.
Maybe time away from the game.
But Joel Quinville was suspended.
Right.
From the league.
Mike Babcock was not.
I don't know.
I'm sure they'll be asking the league, but I don't know what foot the league has to stand
on to get in front of it and say, no, you're not allowed to.
Yeah.
It's a curious one.
Again, there's the, there's the,
taking attention away from the cup final and then there's possibly having to deal with this
shit that bethman will be he'll be foul yeah he will not be pleased whatsoever well and it
had best turn out i hope the uh the oiler brass is got it all because this will be quite a story
if he goes in there and it goes south and they don't win mac david's gone and you're like
yeah oh what a disaster
it does it just really speaks to how much pressure there is up there it's massive yeah what is
mcdavit thinking he's he's enjoying his summer and then you get what do you think about babcock what do you mean
what do i think about i don't know what do i think about so then you got to sit
and at some point in the process you'd be thinking oh wait a minute is this why why are we here how did we get here
How are we here?
Why are we in this situation?
This guy, when did he last?
In the 1920 season.
So he's been out of the game for about six.
We're getting a coach that.
Fallas, why are we here?
Nobody else out there?
You know how we do the, you know, for Kael McCar?
You know, come on home.
For Connor, it's just like, just get out of there.
You don't need to be there.
You can just go wherever.
What a tire fire.
Crowfoot Dodge.
Crowfoot, Dodge Chrysler.com, 20 crowfoot
rise in the Northwest.
It's a new ownership over at Crowfoot.
New energy.
Same great Northwest location.
Crowfoot Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is now part of the
Capitol Automotive Group.
The focus is simple.
Just want to make buying a vehicle easy and enjoyable
way it should be.
Huge selection of trucks and SUVs,
everything in between.
They got a team up there treating you like a neighbor,
not a number.
Whether you're upgrading your ride or just browsing,
it's Crowfoot, building something
fresh and worth checking out. No drama. No run around. Just solid vehicles and solid people.
Part of the capital automotive group, 20 crowfoot rise in the northwest and online crowfoot
Dodge Chrysler.com. That is how that goes. Did you buy that? Did you do any investigation
that Buffalo Bill's helmet chair? Did you know? No, I am not. I was driving all day yesterday,
but I will look into that. It's going to look good on my deck at the lake. I feel like I wanted to get a better
look at it because I didn't really, I couldn't figure out how it was supposed to, it's not a recliner
obviously, but it didn't look particularly comfortable, but didn't. So you're getting your,
your place set. What you were saying, deck, you're not considering a deck, you're going to build
a deck. You don't know if you're building it yourself or how big or what, what's the setup for the,
the summer fiesta out there? Well, that's the problem. You got the trailer, the trailer's in.
Trail-leveled setup.
Bouts there.
Maybe that's all the guy needs.
It's a lot.
It's not nothing.
Yeah.
Stop monkeying around with the,
worrying about a deck and just,
grill up a couple burgers.
Where you go?
Yeah, what's the,
lounge around on my deck?
I'll be at the beach and my bikini.
You're going to be showing off the bulldog.
That's what you're going to be doing.
What's our cooking situation?
We got open for the open fire, you were going to get a.
I got a blackstone.
Got a blackstone.
Again, I'm, I like the blackstone, but I think it's specific for certain menu items, not everything.
It's kind of why I've held off.
Obviously, I've got, you got the barbecue, the grill, and I'd like a blackstone.
But you're kind of limited on what the hell was that?
That was a big pine call, I think.
Scared the best.
So, yeah, because you're still going to need a barbecue if you're doing a block.
You're still going to need the grill.
I want one of those Brazilian barbecues.
You want a Brazilian?
Wow, yeah.
You're they painful as hell.
No, they're good.
Once you did a couple times.
All right.
Yeah, the one where you can, over the open fire, you can raise and lower the grate and
get to look into it.
But then there's forest.
and then you don't want to.
Yeah, yeah.
Maybe I'll just haul in pizza every,
the funky goat pizza from France.
Yeah, I'll say this.
I am surprised that this, that you are going through this,
because there's a lot of this that feels unrette to me.
It's, it's a lot of, there's a lot of things that need to get done to.
What?
I got a bed and a boat.
Oh, you're hauling trailers and you're hauling boats and there's fires.
I got to do that to have the bed to the boat.
at the location.
So now that's done.
I'm kind of, if I want to do nothing else, whatever.
Yeah.
But then it's like, are we going to do this?
Or we'll just order in pizza.
Maybe we'll just do it.
It's wrong with grabbing pizza and some KFC out of Fernie.
Here you go, kids.
Go to your uncles and eat.
Eat out of your uncles.
Yeah.
Go get a rum and butter at the 93 and me cafe.
3.93, get some dill dip and chicken.
We're set.
Yeah, you're set.
my time cooking. There's a marina
across the lake. Go get some gas. They got burritos.
Laughing. They got the ice cream.
Oh, yeah.
What was your, uh, how did you describe that?
The, it was expensive ice cream because when you, when you,
$50 ice cream. How much? It's about 350.
What?
Well, you've got to go to get, we go for ice cream. You got to get gas. Or if you're going for gas,
you got your ice cream.
Yes.
Okay.
Kids want ice cream.
Holy, every time.
I've got two, two cones and the gas.
That's $375.
Okay.
Feels like a lot.
We'll share the ice cream, right?
Yeah.
Feels like a lot.
That'll be fun.
Whatever.
Hey, ice stone.
You're not going to need money anyway.
Here's what I would like to happen.
Now, it's really me kind of inserting.
myself into both your lives.
I'd like you to get Jack down there
for a couple days.
Jack's a Montana and he doesn't need to come there.
I mean, it's, even if he is a Montana
and it's kind of on the way, he could stop in.
You guys can have...
It's very much.
I know, but I think you should keep going
because of the gas is expensive.
It's nuts.
I mean, gosh, in the old days,
in the old days, you could boat down.
Now they don't let you, the bastards.
Do they stop you?
Yeah.
Trump?
Really?
Take your damn boat.
They'll sink it right.
They'll drone you, right in the middle of a little.
Oh, no.
Oh, that's your own.
Did you see your buddy at the Knicks game last night?
Poor Trump, that's too late for him to be going to,
he can't be going out at night to sporting events.
What happened?
Was he cheering on the Knicks?
Well, yeah, he went to Madison Square Garden to watch the Knicks.
Apparently their record when he's gone to games is over.
so people were not happy that he was there.
They did end up losing.
But it looked like you maybe caught a few Zs part way through.
Oh, those chairs in the suites are so comfortable.
They're cozy.
It's like 9.30 p.m.?
Just a couple, just a quick shut eye.
Maybe had a big lunch, big dinner.
I thought everyone said he doesn't sleep.
I know.
Did you watch the hoops last night, Jack?
Yes, I did.
I did.
What'd you make of it?
Very good.
Very good game.
I thought, I thought the Spurs would be up in the series.
So I was surprised to see the Knicks were up to nothing.
And the alien Victor, he was dominating.
Yeah.
I'm going to assume that you're talking about the game,
about basketball, I did not.
No, I'm not trying to be cool, guy.
I just kind of not my.
I haven't really paid attention at all, but.
I was like, there's nothing to watch.
Yeah.
Throw it on.
What the hell did I do last night?
I don't even know what I did last night.
Maybe I was asleep.
It's not ideal.
Not ideal.
Today is Tuesday.
That means it's Taco Tuesday with Taco Time.
Proudly Canadian since 1979.
The first location opened in Lethbridge, Alberta.
What?
Yeah.
Over 125 locations Canada wide, and every Tuesday is Taco Tuesday.
It's two bucks.

Veggie tacos, unlimited, as many as you can eat, as many as you want, to your heart's content.
Taco Time, we're talking Tex-Mex, hand-rolling the burritos and the tacos,
over a million Mexie fries sold annually.
They're firing out tacos, 2.5 million tacos last year, making the shells and the chips and the salad bowls in-house.
Taco Time, Canada.com.
Get the, make your own, build your own taco box.
well what do you want you want how many of this week just get the taco box the shells come soft shell hard shell your veggies your meat the rice everything you want for that you build it yourself that's what you need to maybe do for a stanley cup game tonight maybe that's what you need for little hockey tonight get some taco time in your life on taco tuesday delicious maybe that's it i bring the lake and i have to worry about there you go see yeah don't need the blackstone for that you could warm up the tortillas maybe on there but
uh yeah they wouldn't make it all the way here no i'm trying to think because i know
know this well i guess it depends if there's baseball there's kid ball tonight baseball this baseball
would make life a lot easier i was gonna see you could start start with the baseball or the
softball and i just got right to the kids if the kids weren't around life's a lot easier right yeah
you can cancel baseball at all their events or just cancel
Yeah.
Get them out of the house and then.
Just wish the, just go get on your screens.
Go sit in your room and get on some screens.
There's lots to learn out there.
Get the screens out and get learning.
I'd stop bugging your dad.
Stop.
All right.
We'll do the Pinder Report.
I think we got the Pinda Report earlier.
That's probably all we needed.
But it's a presentation of Village Honda.
Proud to be your dealership for life in Calgary since 1987,
located in the Northwest Automobile.
all under the giant Canadian flag online
at village honda.com. The big buying event
continues. They want to buy
your vehicles. You got
a lease that's going back.
I'll take it there first and see maybe they'll
have a better deal for you.
You never know until you ask and you never know until you try
and they'll do all the work for you. It's very easy
to do. You start the process online
and they take it from there.
VillageHonda.com.
We'll start with Flames Nation
because there flames haven't played what did you guys talk about the flames so there's not a whole lot going on in flames land it's coming around the draft is coming up it's going to be big then there's ryan pike with a little bit of an editorial that means his opinion why the flames should pass on a dillon larkin trade
uh part of it might be the no trade clause that larkin has and i wonder
coming here i wonder if maybe that would be the first thing but again i'm not here to rain on pike's
parade he's putting some stuff together you can read there why i think just in general
why the flames are at a spot we talked about it with nico heeshire you can put dylan larkin
are the flames or should they be looking to spend assets to bring in a guy in his late 20s
who's a better player and a player center center which the flames need
is that they should be doing right now?
You can read it to Flamesnation.c.
Also, try city defender,
Jakub Vanichek is a sleeper.
A draft sleeper.
Like Trump.
A sleeper indeed.
Let's, uh,
I have it here somewhere.
Oh yeah,
there's a game tonight.
Game number four.
Vegas is up two games to one.
The games have been extremely tight.
One goal games,
couple OT games.
Look at the stink guy.
Mitch Marner, he's like, and I'm the one that was getting criticized.
I'm leading the playoffs and scoring.
Where have you been, O'ho?
You deadbeat.
6 o'clock, mountain time for game four tonight.
Almost must win.
We talked about it.
Teams that take a 3-1 series stranglehold.
They're 38 and 1 all time.
teams to trail
2-1 and the best of
7 so this is where
the canes find themselves
let alone they go down on 3-1
27 and 30 in game 4s
including 9 and 8 on the road
it's a lot to
it's a lot to take in
it's a lot of numbers but yeah
it seems intimidating if they lose again
yeah
they win though all of a sudden
it's 2-2 they regain home ice
advantage
do we want to I know you've got
you've got some
Bet 365 stuff going, but
I feel like even if you're not really
We need a Keynes win tonight. Jack, are we
cheering for the caves tonight?
No, I'm on Vegas.
Okay, good. Nope.
I think it's over too. I don't see how
I feel like Vegas has dominated this whole series.
Delaying the inevitable, perhaps.
Yes. And for flames again,
everybody knows this. This is not news to most people.
I don't think. If Vegas wins the Stanley Cup,
a 20, they get a 20, 28,
first round pick of the Vegas Golden Knights.
So there's real reason for Flames fans that want the Vegas Golden Knights to get this thing going on.
We've talked plenty about Babcock.
Oilers consulting with the NHLPA to see if there's objections that must be resolved before hiring Mike Babcock.
It feels like that's what they want to do.
Bob Stoffer was saying, make no mistake, Babcock is their guy.
And if there are no roadblocks, then they want them.
He last coached in the 2019, or 19, uh, season,
9, well, 2019 slash 20 season, the Toronto.
Didn't go well in Columbus.
Never did coach there.
He's 63.
He's well decorated.
He's highly controversial.
We'll see how that goes.
Uh, the Kings, meanwhile, have hired Peter Lavulet as their head coach.
It's a three year deal.
He was out of the league entirely this season.
The, uh, the Kings fired Jim Hiller partway.
through they went to DJ Smith as an interim beginning of March they had 90 points on the season they were 11 6 and 6 under DJ Smith before getting swept by Colorado should Smith is his nose out of joint you stick around after you've been probably yeah probably yeah because he's had he's had a it's not like he's never coached in the NHL either right it's not but but
I don't know what LA is either.
I don't really either.
I don't.
Yeah.
There's real thought with Detroit.
Just get larkin out of there.
And what you get young start to rebuild it if you want to use that word.
And I don't know what the kings are.
You made the move for Panarin because the price was very reasonable.
So you do that anyway.
Copatars done.
You've got his money.
But it doesn't feel like that's.
what they want to do. You have to get something to replace Copator. I don't think they're
throwing in the towel. No. Byfield might be better and Clark might be better, but they're in
need of something. Yeah. Lavillette 61 years old, fired by the Rangers in his last stop.
Hasn't, uh, he's won a Stanley Cup. Speaking of Carolina, he was the, the coach back in 06 when
they won their Stanley Cup, but kind of bounced around a little bit since then.
I kind of miss some,
some cup stuff.
Jack's got it lined up.
You can walk through this, Jack.
The combined score.
Not the series,
we talked about it yesterday,
not the series in terms of goals and,
I think of these two teams,
they suffocate other teams.
How are they going to manage?
There's been 25 goals,
I believe is the number through three games.
Can they put up another nine spot?
We got a 10 on the way tonight?
What do we got coming?
We could be talking about one of the highest scoring cup finals ever through the first four games.
You look at some of those ones at the top there.
That's oldie time days.
That's when they had moose hair in the in the goalie pads.
If they had goalie pads.
Is that the Melville millionaires?
I believe so.
Yes.
Yeah.
What a squad they had.
What a squad.
I've bet the under on every game.
I'm betting the over tonight.
Okay.
Good stuff.
Well, people, you know what to do.
Well, you're a quick learner.
It only took you three games.
Three games.
And this will be awesome.
It goes under.
I love it.
Well, we'll see how that goes.
Bet365 stuff, just kind of going through this morning as I was making some bets, getting my bets in.
Who's going to have the most goals in the series is one that is up there.
If this series is this going to be over in a hurry?
is this, you know, if that's the case.
Brett Howden's had a good start to this series.
He's had a good playoff.
He's got three goals in games one, two, and three.
And of course, Marner, he is, it's been a remarkable postseason for him.
I don't know how it's going in Toronto.
Three goals in game three.
So he is, he is right there.
They like, they like Marner more than Howden.
And that Jordan Stahl is the best option for the Keynes,
probably speaks to why they're down to this series.
It's not ideal.
But that's some stuff there.
It's a nice thing about 365.
You go to the app, you can find all kinds of things in there.
And the series correct score.
Now there are more options than this, but I just grab,
so if Vegas wins tonight, you like them in five.
365, just looking at the odds here,
it feels like they see a Vegas and 6 as the most likely outcome.
So maybe a, maybe a, maybe a,
win for the canes tonight. Maybe they win going back to Carolina. But the, uh, the Vegas golden
nights are significant favorites in the eyes of bed 365. You can keep that in mind. Uh,
today in hockey history kind of stuff. It was 2001. Where were you in 01, right?
Who, right now it was probably in Europe because I was hiding from, after I screwed up against
Pittsburgh. Oh, dear. Was that the Marys?
thing. Yeah.
It wasn't your fault.
Was that the puck in the air and you, like how, how many,
well, how much are you expected to handle?
They got Hall of Famers, the goalies,
you're taught that from a very young age to tie up
a guy in front of the net and it was also Mario.
So probably doubly important to make sure that guy
doesn't have a stick to swing around and was hiding out.
Hiding out in Europe.
Saskatchewan, not good enough.
Not good enough. Too many people there.
I got to go somewhere else.
It was 2001. We can walk through it.
This was, I'm guessing probably for you,
it's a little different when you're a player.
You want to win.
Ray Bork, I don't think guys that are Jack's age,
or you can go ahead, Jackie, boy.
Ray Bork's a stunt.
I mean, he was unbelievable player.
And that is one of the most unselfish things.
that we ever, Joe Sack,
no, he's one, he had a cup with,
takes the cup, hands it over to Ray Bork
before Joe even hoists the thing.
22 years,
went to Colorado after leaving Boston the year prior,
they didn't win.
He comes back to give it another crack
and is victorious.
Look at his kids.
You're not always happy for everyone that wins
because some guys are jerks, but not that guy.
That was a cool, uh,
That was very cool.
Yeah, that was a cool one.
Sometimes sports is the best, and that was one of those nights.
This one here also on this date back to 2010, the Hawks were a juggernaut.
This was their first one, one of the weirdest of all time.
Pain knows it.
It seems like, is it what?
Is it, was it in?
Kind of, is that a muted celebration?
But it gets through the wickets of,
of Layton, it's stuck under the pad inside the net.
Soup.
It is soup.
Look it.
Got the assist.
That ended the drought dating back to 1961.
Which is maybe it's a series, actually.
Yeah.
Heck of series.
So that's what happened on this day.
I'm sure there's other things with those just kind of came across the old, the old timeline.
Las Vegas is going to get a baseball team.
the former Oakland A's are moving there.
They're going to open up a ballpark in 2028.
They're playing right now in Sacramento.
But this week, and only, it's six games,
a three game set against Milwaukee and a three game set against the Colorado Rockies.
They're going to play in Vegas in Summerland.
It's the AAA ballpark in Summerland for the,
I forget what the AAA team is that plays there.
It's a small, it's, it's, it's a unique park, right.
It's, they've got a, they've got a huge wall built in, uh, in left field to try and
the dimensions are there.
But because of the elevation and the heat, it gets hot and windy in Vegas, the odd time.
And they are 2,000 feet above sea level, which is still below Coorsfield in Denver,
but it's the second high, Vegas will be the second highest elevation in major league
baseball. So there was some thought yesterday because it was kind of warm and there's
some there's some breeze this could be a big night at the plate for the for the hitters.
We'll see if they were correct.
Holy shit. In 12 innings 15, 14, there were 11 home runs, 34 hits, 29 runs.
11 home runs. 11. This was the first pitch.
of the bottom of the
so there you see the wall
yeah they were crushing
and because of the
the park and the dimensions
and everything
there's a lot of these balls that would not
be out in some ballparks
the analytics
said there were only four of the 11
that maybe would not have been
homers elsewhere
the one
the one that came late
would have absolutely just been a fly ball
in a lot of parks, in all parks.
I think they, this, whatever stat cast determined,
that would be in zero of the ballparks in major league baseball.
That would have been a home run.
Yeah.
So they've got two more against the brew crew and then they'll play the Rockies.
All, it's a six game homestand if you want to call it that for Vegas.
And I think a lot of people are going to be paying attention now.
Kyle Harrison was the starter for the Brewers,
came into the game with a record of seven and one.
a 1.57 ERA and had given up just six runs in his previous seven starts.
So very stingy.
Last night, three homers, eight runs in two and a third inning.
So he's hating Vegas.
He can't wait to get out of Vegas.
That's not ideal.
Not ideal for him.
While we're talking baseball, I just put, I called this ball stuff.
Just some, some baseball stuff that was going on last night.
The, uh, it's a tough time for um,
They're being judged.
They're being critiqued on everything they do.
And it does make you wonder,
have you guys always been this shitty?
I guess would be the way to put it.
We can start here.
This is the Reds and the San Diego's.
So he's like, I feel like that's a ball.
This is one at bat.
Cold strike, ABS.
The matter shall.
So that's too wrong.
That looked a little low, maybe.
Yeah, thanks.
I'll take the, yeah.
So only three, only three.
And this one is great.
Ball.
Have they always been this bad?
I guess.
I don't know why they'd be worse this year than before.
Oh, it was a strike, as it turns out.
Now, this is Josh Donaldson, who is not, he's no longer in the majors, but he was at one time.
You love him.
You've got his jersey.
Yeah, I do.
Slow pitch.
Showed up to this game.
I don't know if he's playing with them.
I'm not sure what the situation is,
but he figured, you know what, I'm going to come out in my full gear.
So he had the cleats, the pants, the jersey, his own jersey.
Oh, baby.
Oh, baby.
And can still hit the ball, apparently.
I don't know if you need to.
Well, if you're going to wear your own jersey,
there's a level of confidence there.
Watch this, dude.
Gets him right in the head.
Take your walk and he's like, hey.
Your buddy Paul Skeens was driving around.
Driving by the little league ballpark.
Little bit of practice on.
They've got the lights on.
He pulls in.
He's what's going on here?
Spent two hours.
Throwing the ball around, giving kids tips,
showing them how to throw, you know,
curve balls and sliders playing catch with the kids.
Your boy Skeenzy.
good guy that's awesome good guy that's awesome that's wicked wearing a stealer shirt jack
yeah he's wrapping the berg yeah and uh if you if you hit the play there they got the uh they've got
some footage of so it's you can see there at this point it's light out hey guys what's going on here
oh wow he's been there a while it was yeah there were two hours he was hanging out and throwing the ball around
Awesome.
Major League baseball, they play every day.
You're not going to pitch every day, but
got a day where you don't need to be at the ballpark.
I'll go hang with the kids.
Some good people.
There you go.
They'll get shit from it from the pirates.
Yeah, they'll probably be like, why were you not?
They throw the ball this a day off.
And I saw this one this morning.
The, uh,
the Rams talking in NFL.
The Rams have added Miles Garrett in kind of a blockbuster deal.
And there was some, boy, imagine if they still had Aaron Donald.
Because those guys would be animals.
And I was like, you're still, because you, you retired when you were quite young and you were still very good at the game.
Is there any chance?
Adam Schaeftor this morning in rumor says it's, quote, more likely than not, end quote,
that Aaron Donald will come out of retirement this season to play for the Rams.
Aaron Donald would get to play with Miles Garrett the fact that the Super Bowl is in L.A. this year, I think the ingredients are there to make it happen.
Just give them the Super Bowl. I mean, that defense is going to be insane.
It's pretty great. I mean, I don't really care one way or the other, I guess, because I thought he was on the cover of the video game, so bears aren't here this year.
You're cooked.
So may as well.
The world is going to be in trouble.
Yeah, Bill's be in trouble.
And the Steelers
they bring back.
They got the other, the real Aaron, right?
Yes, they do.
Rams wish they had that Aaron,
but they'll settle for Aaron Donald.
They'll settle for, uh, yeah.
Yeah.
Real nice.
All right, that's enough.
That's a Pinder report.
Village on.
Dealership for life in Calgary since 1987,
Northwest Automall under the giant
Canadian flag and online at village honda.com.
Does my wife know that I've got a show going on?
I make lots of noise there?
It's like the rain here.
Stupid roof is loud.
Yeah, it's like we're pine cones falling.
We got all this going on.
Tricky. tricky.
Tricky.
Uh, guys saying, get Pinder back on. Don't need Pinder back on.
Don't need Pinder back on.
We can run with Pinder and the Babcock story tomorrow again.
Yeah, you and I can take tomorrow off and you.
and he'll just go for an hour and a half.
We can do our bets.
Bet 365, hockey fans tired of waiting for the end of the game to get paid,
ready to move on to the next puck drop.
That's why bet 365.
An official partner of the NHL has three goal early payout.
If the team you're riding goes up by three goals at any point in the game,
they'll pay your bet out early.
Hockey moves fast and now with three goal early payout,
there's one less thing to wait around for.
Bet 365, download the app.
See what early payouts all about must be 19 or older.
Please play responsibly.
So I'm just kind of taking my cues off of,
off of three, six, five.
They know.
How do they know?
They know.
Logan Stankhoven is,
if Carolina is going to win,
they need some goals.
And if they're going to get some goals,
more often than on,
it's been Logan Stankovin.
He did not score in the last game,
but he's been very consistent.
I'm going to take an anytime goal from Stankovin,
a point for Goss to spare.
He's had points every,
pretty much every game across,
and so is Marner.
So I'm going to take a couple guys, a couple points, and maybe a bit of a reach,
but we're going to go for a stankovin goal.
Carolina has not won, but they have scored.
Plus seven hundred.
Let's go.
Betting responsibly with bet three, six, five.
What do you smell tonight for a victory?
Is it 3-1 or do the canes find a way?
It's hard to go back on my statement.
I think Vegas has been better.
The two the caveats or whatever the hell that word is.
is what's, what's, what's, what's, what's, what's, uh, what's heart doing in that for Vegas?
And what's Bussy if he's in that doing for Carolina?
So are you going to stand on your head and, um, pitch a shut out?
I still think Vegas wins the series, but that, that could change things for one,
Vegas.
I think they, I still think they, they, they make it happen.
Yeah, I, I'm, I'll go the other way, I guess.
Because I do, I feel like, because I'd rather have the, the series continue on,
especially with the,
excitement the games would be.
Yeah.
I feel like Vegas wins this series, but I'm kind of three six,
Pinder talked about yesterday, three six five, they have Vegas as heavy favorites to win
the series, but they have Carolina as the favorite to win the game tonight.
So I'm going to, I'm just going to three six five this thing.
That's what I'm going to do.
What do you think, Jack?
Yeah, I know you kind of said you think it's Vegas, but is there, do we get, does it
snug up or is it just going to be a walk?
Well, like I said, I'm going to take the over because I've taken the under three in a row.
Oh, right.
Yeah.
All.
So inevitably, it'll be Vegas like 2-1 or something, I think.
Okay.
What's the forecast?
That's what we really need.
That's what we really need to know.
50.
Literally.
It's telling me there's a percentage of precipitation.
You better get started.
You just need enough to shut the diamonds down.
That's it.
Beautiful.
This could start around five.
Maybe too late though.
That's tight.
Just enough time for me.
Just enough time for me to get out there with my lawn chair and bag of spits and sit down and get soaked.
Good times.
Good times indeed.
Ah, you know, we're blessed.
Kids playing sports.

I love this show.
No, you don't, Matt.
I thought of today's show is extremely average.
Yeah.
It's tough because it's June and our give a shit meter is so low.
And so is the guy who talks all the time isn't here.
And the guy who just seems to care about all kinds of stuff, whereas we could kind of take or leave a lot of.

I love the chaos. Pinder is his own Pinder report.
$2.
The thing about Pinder is none of that is contrived or made up for the show.
When that Babcock stuff, the fact that he didn't start going live, do a live stream from his car or something.
When that stuff started to go make the rounds yesterday is a miracle in itself.
He will be talking to himself.
be sitting in front of a mirror talking to himself about why it's a crazy hire, but it's a great
hire and how desperate they are and their fumbling dynasties and the guy took, like he'll be doing
all of that just because he has to get it off of his chest. He'll be on the show tomorrow.
Those poor bastards riding with him in the cart, they're just going to be getting it.
Oh my.
He'll be intoxicated, mouthy, opinionated.
Oof. Like of their football guys. Maybe they'll just slam them into the ground.
Maybe. You hope that he gets to kind, because I think we all get there.
when you've had way too much.
And then you never just kind of, you just kind of start being,
you eventually get quiet.
I don't know how many beers that takes.
A lot.
It takes a long.
It's a long time.
Getting there is the hardest part too.
You got to wait.
We got to wait.
Ariel Zandi's like,
we needed more energy from you.
I know.
I apologize.
I apologize.
Jack, how was the show?
Awesome.
Boom.
You were the.
MVP today. Oh, thanks. Thanks.
I'll put it on the man. You were the MVP.
Yeah, we brought all the energy.
Racho, what are we doing the rest of the day?
I'm going to pack up and head back to Caltown.
Come on. Yeah, come on back.
You should throw, you're going to throw a quick hot dog or something on the
3.93, Dean, 393.
Got you.
Rum and better.
Tomorrow's Wednesday, we'll have noodles. Thank God.
Thank God. I used him today.
That'll be good.
I could use him today.
Could use him every day.
Just let him do it.
Does anybody want to do this show?
Yeah.
He's professional.
Oh, well, are you hiring for a fill-in host?
Fill-in.
Permanent fill-in.
But yes, maybe a fill-in.
Just take it and run.
Yeah, that's on that it would be.
Well, we owe you one, folks.
We owe you one.
See you, buddies.
