A lot of glorious, good morning.
Or whenever you choose to watch or listen.
Whatever time to date.
However you choose to celebrate, Barnburner, we welcome you.
Good morning to you for the people that it's morning for.
Yes, good morrow for sure.
This is a presentation of Bet 365.
If you want to get into the action for the Stanley Cup playoffs,
best way to do it, bet 365.
Download the app, get into the game.
Official partner of the Stanley Cup playoffs must be 19 or older.
and the super chat for the youth centers of Calgary.
Right now, we're live, unless you're watching, again.
If it's live, you can comment and then make a donation.
And if you do, we'll put your comment on the show.
And give the money to the U.S.
And we'll take the U.S.
Yeah, that's probably the most important part.
How are we doing?
Yeah, a lot of baseball on the weekend.
So that was very exciting.
Good Father's Day.
Yeah.
And yeah, great weekend.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, nice weather for the most part.
Little rain here and there, but you know what?
We could use it.
If you're ready for some moisture, it's going to be a great upcoming weekend for you.
I feel like we have you to thank because you've planned golf.
So that's how that works.
Not just golf, but 36 holes at Canaanascus.
After it's been closed with the G7, it's finally opening this week.
And it's looking like about 40 millimeters of rain high of nine.
That's like Vancouver winter.
So you're welcome.
All the people that need moisture.
Thanks, Ryan. Annual golf thing.
Appreciate that.
Appreciate that a lot.
How was your father's day, Jack?
How did you celebrate?
I gave my dad a phone call.
Did any of your kids call you?
I don't have kids.
Okay.
And so was that the gift to dad?
Was the phone call?
Yeah, just a nice chat on the phone.
Because he's not in town.
He's down south.
Yeah, of course.
Yeah.
You can't just drop off a gift.
No.
Sure, he was.
thinking after the phone call.
That's exactly what I wanted.
Yeah, he was down in the ocean somewhere doing something.
That sounds good.
I don't think he was too upset.
Yeah.
Sure it was fine.
I got the not so huddle hints from the,
not so subtle hints.
There you go.
Muddle wince,
huddle bintz.
Hey, here's some workout shorts.
Get going.
Is that so?
Yeah, that's,
I'm sure that's what it comes down to.
All right, I guess.
We'll get into the opening stage.
payments, no need to beat around the bush, McLeod Law.
Just in general, they're going to take the stress off your shoulders.
Whatever your issue is, minor or very significant, you have the best in the business and they are here in our city.
They're proud of those Calgary routes, big part of their longstanding client relationships.
They understand our fine city, the people in it and the way things work, diverse, varied, and a commitment towards making a positive impact on the city of Calgary.
And they're the best.
it's a pretty nice combination of things to be honest
local and they're awesome and they're good
there you go how did we take in the match
two nights ago
were we busy in and out
was it okay we're ready to sit down we're watching this
song bitch I watched the first at home
I missed the second because I had to go to
some event my wife got invited to and then
committed to meeting for the third period
with a buddy where we
soaked it in amongst Oilers fans
and even some young fellows wearing flame
jersey's cheering their hearts up for the Panthers.
It was quite a seat.
Some young fellas.
Look, look, look, look.
Outta boy.
Yeah, I'm told by a lot of people that it's really pathetic that we wouldn't be cheering.
If not, not cheering for, but cheering for Florida certainly would be just we don't need to
get too far into it.
But it's really now.
Yeah.
I just find the casuals don't get it.
Yeah.
Like if you're really hardcore into sports.
and you understand rivalry,
it's not a hard concept to explain to someone.
But like when I'm trying to explain it to like a grandma at the baseball,
but they're from Canada.
You're like,
no,
the Olympics are next year.
Yeah.
Nan.
But yeah,
it's the casuals have a tough time understanding why you wouldn't cheer for,
well,
it's called rivalry.
Yeah.
The casuals are very,
I saw the TV commercial that said they're team Canada.
Yeah.
What does bring it home?
Yeah.
Bring it home.
It's a great,
really original marketing campaign.
Yeah.
Well,
Well, that went how we expected.
How did you take the game in?
Because you were,
Sky was falling on Friday for being honest.
Was it?
I don't know that we,
I mean,
we could rewatch the program,
but I feel like you left us
with a very strong impression
of how you thought things were going to go.
I believe I did say,
F the Panthers.
It's over.
Sam Bennett cost himself to Con Smyth
and the Panthers.
Whatever you did work,
so do it again today.
I don't mind that you did it because it worked.
I mean, who's to say?
I don't really remember.
It's possible.
I'm usually a very upbeat guy.
Yeah, maybe you just did meet breakfast.
Like hot one day, red carved wheat meat or did have breakfast and that was the wrong thing.
I can't really remember.
One of the two.
Look, everyone, except maybe the Florida Panthers, had to have been stunned.
I was, I was ready to watch it, but I was late getting in.
by, I don't know, 45 minutes to an hour kind of deal.
Catching up on PBR?
Yeah, so I've got, but it's the phone, I can't look at my phone.
Your radio dark until it's done.
Because I'm, I think you're the same way.
I don't want to know what's going on and then watch it.
It's like, well, it's going to be two, one in the third period.
So if it's two one in the first, I know there's no goals coming.
It's the worst way to watch sports, especially when we do afterburners and stuff.
Because like, okay, you're going to watch a whole thing, take notes and understand like what are the talking points in the show.
when you know the outcomes, it ruins the experience.
Luckily, my eyesight is awful.
Good. Okay. Yeah.
So I'm sitting on the couch watching this game and my phone is.
Buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz.
So I could kind of take it and give it one of these.
Which app is alerting me?
Is it my wife?
Is the car on fire or is it Greg Keller?
Because Ben, Scott scored again.
Okay.
Nothing from the wife, nothing too serious.
It's our chat.
It's Greg Keller.
It's something.
Okay.
I don't need to focus.
too hard.
Nothing's on fire.
That's right.
No one's been forgotten to get picked up at a baseball diamond somewhere.
Everything's okay.
Seems like everything's in order.
Probably just a I love Sam Bennett tweet from Greg.
Shocked by what took place.
And in the,
not so much, I guess what took place.
I am shocked, but what took place.
I thought the Oilers were going to steamroll.
Yes.
To victory.
You made that clear.
I'm fine.
They,
I just think over the,
over the last two post seasons,
when they go back in there,
with or without momentum or what just it's a madhouse.
They just grew.
You think of how they absolutely shit pumped the flames in round two.
When they played them going in there for game three,
it was just a debacle.
They've done it so many times.
And the first, what, four or five minutes,
Connor Brown partial break,
play at the side of the net off the post through Bobrovsky's legs.
They didn't have a lot of shots with a lot of chances.
I've only like three or four scoring chances and two shots.
you didn't know how they were doing it.
And missing in tight.
This is,
this is how I expect this to go.
This is going to be a gong show.
And then I don't know if there was any,
obviously the goal,
but it just felt like all of a sudden,
whatever the oil,
it just,
they just,
they,
it was gone.
Yeah,
and that's Florida.
Get it back.
And that,
like,
that is,
I understand that building's been a nightmare for other teams.
None of those other teams are Florida.
Florida didn't let them have a lead in the third period in games one and two.
Florida took some heavy punches, but always bounced back in games one and two in that building.
And they got the split and they were bounce away from when in both in Eminton.
And again, they survive, they weather the storm early, whatever you want to say, whatever analogy.
And they get to work in doing what they're best at, which is not allowing teams to get out of their own end.
That four check is one of the greatest I can remember watching this series is going down as an epic.
But the difference between the Oilers, this series and all the others, they could,
hemmed in their own zone a lot. They were getting out of their own zone. No sweat, all playoffs until
Florida. I didn't like, where is it here? Offensive zone time in period one. And I don't know.
I'm sure I just, it was in one of the articles that was on NHL.com. 39 seconds of offensive zone time
in period one for the Oilers. I don't like that stat, but yeah, I mean, like I don't know.
If you want to measure possession, you don't do it with time. You know it with shot attempts or unblocked shot attempts.
Like that's the measure.
If you want to circle the wagons for 30 seconds and nothing happens, you don't get a shot.
That doesn't matter to me as much to me as like a flurry with lots of opportunities.
But yeah, point being, that's not a lot of time.
They're at the other end.
Yeah.
And that's what we're saying about Florida that makes them so unique.
That four check is so punishing and a team that's been superb at zone exits, all playoffs looks stymied.
The Panthers won six to one in game three.
And it was, Oilers were no good and the Panthers were real good.
and it was just a it was a beat down.
This one, I guess in the end,
is also a beat down,
but so different, right?
This was a suffocation.
This one was more impressive.
They were on pace to hold the Oilers
to like 15 shots
in a Stanley Cup final in their own building.
The only time that the Oilers seemed,
especially late in the game,
is when they had the goalie out.
Yep.
Or a man of band.
Which is, as you said,
anytime they do,
they seem to score.
Right.
So they got a little bit going there.
Florida,
finally understood the task, which isn't, don't get up by two and play defense. That's what, you know,
LA tried to do. That's what other teams have, you know, blown leads doing that, including Florida
earlier in the series. You have to keep scoring. And they did this game.
Panthers tie an NHL record with 10 road wins. 61 goals on the road is by far and away the most now.
The Kings had 49 back in 92, 93 when they lost to the Montreal Canadians.
Man, that's a lot of goals.
And you think about a game five and seven against Toronto.
Okay, well, that's a lot.
But they also had their way with Tampa.
They also made short work of Carolina.
And they've had high scoring overs in Edmonton three times now.
Panthers have scored at least two goals in every first period of the series.
And that's a big talking point is, well, why aren't you ready?
Were you prepared?
Were you guys ready on the Oilers side?
it's like well if we would have known we'd have been readier i guess i can't imagine that you're not
prepared um but they have been chasing it a lot and it's weird as we go into a game six
and potentially a game seven that the time spent leading and all of these goals and the goals
different differentials 11 or 114 i think in first periods on paper it's how is this thing
still going in a lot of ways yeah which i guess is credit to the oilers or just
small mental farts by the Panthers have allowed the Oilers to come back in.
I don't know.
It's 200 minutes, 225 to 33, 34 minutes.
It's been a lot of Florida.
It's like 6 to 7 to 1.
Yeah.
The ratio of time leading, which checks out like all of game 3, most of game 4,
a lot of games 1 and 2.
The Oilers had their first lead of the series in the third period was game 4.
Like that's, they've had one lead in the third period.
series.
And at times it feels like they are overwhelming and they are the better team,
but they have nothing to show for it, really.
I mean,
they get two wins over it,
but it certainly could be uglier.
Another overtime bounce away,
but you can play that game the other way too.
We can walk through the goals.
We can take a look,
you know,
wouldn't hurt anybody,
I suppose.
We'll talk about,
about Marchand,
because what he's,
what he's done has been,
I sure like this,
Brad Marchand.
I don't know if you,
have you watched.
a lot of his, a lot of his games in Boston for a long time, didn't see a lot of them.
I thought, you know what, BXA has done such a great job on the panel.
And he talked about being face off ready.
And in his career, one of his coaches says, you're not face off ready.
And he showed him some tapes and then shows this.
And then it happens again later on in the game as Marchand just.
And we've seen this happen through the playoffs.
I was, it was the, I think it was the Carolina series.
Remember off the offensive zone draw,
Marshaun gets it backdoor to Losterine.
Like it's a set play, but he goes from inside the circle
all the way to the outside, wins that race,
gets the puck and feeds Rosterine and backdoor.
And this, I don't know if it's,
do you not like the goal for Pickard?
Do you not like...
Well, I mean, Teas, Eccolm's got to be ready.
That's their best defensive defenseman.
He gets walked.
That can't happen.
Yeah.
And it happens quick.
He's kind of going right there.
It's, you hear a lot of people talking about Marchand.
It's like, this guy at 37 years of age, can you believe?
I don't care how old you are.
How can you play better?
Who's playing better?
There's some guys in their mid, early 20s that are not showing up near to the,
the level that this guy is.
I'm going to check to cons my features, though, while you get my attention.
Yeah, I feel like he'd be the leader at this point.
He's leading the series in goals by one over Bennett, six to five, I won.
Well, those two have put on, it's six to five, 11 goals through five games.
They're the first teammates in 52 years with five or more goal each in a cup final.
And if Bennett scores one more, they'll be the only pair of teammates on the same team to have six on the same team.
Here are the Konsmithe trophy odds updated from this morning at Bet, 365.
Sam Bennett minus 200, still a heavy favorite.
Marshan at plus 450 a second.
Wow.
It's Connor McDavid at plus 700,
dry saddle plus 750,
and Bob at 10 to 1.
Bennett has a lot of goals.
Yeah, no, you're right.
Yeah.
He has 15, 13 of them on the road,
six game road goal streak.
And again,
it's not just a trove for the final.
He's had the better playoffs than Marchand.
You could argue Marchand's been as impactful
or maybe even a little more of this series.
That's fine, too.
This one here again, sorry to do the, can you start it again?
This is, again, it's Eckholm who has the puck right here.
And this is vintage Florida.
As soon as you get the turnover, we're turning it up.
We're going the other way.
And there's not much here, but it is, it's just kind of a, he fans on it.
Bennett quick pivot, turn.
Find ice.
You're in good shape.
It's a broken play.
It's kind of shit luck.
It's a good block.
But it goes right to Bennett, who scores.
Yeah.
and that makes it to nothing late in the first period.
And the building is a morgue at this point.
After being completely wound up to start.
It's a complete, yeah.
The hippo tank was like fluorescent.
It was so loud to start the game and then boom two in the first.
Yeah.
It was quite a night.
It was quite a night.
It's ain't over.
And if you're Florida, you've got to be real careful here.
well yeah go look it's just after every game we have huge reactions right god emminton looks good in game
one they tie it late win it in overtime emminton's awesome game two oh wow look at this moxie the
florida plays with never say die they got the split they stole home ice game three they're so
good they're destroying them this is not even close the oilers are a mess game four well now the
oilers are going to win this thing they're going back home in a best of three tied like we just have
these wild swings. And so we should probably expect the most likely thing is the thing we've
seen the most, which is like a one goal overtime, 50-50 coin flip tomorrow night.
And if you're Florida, we see all these little bounces, awful legging in for Leon's
overtime winner, the rebound on that Kachuk shot that allows Bennett to score on the goal we just
watched. You have to take care of business tomorrow. You cannot, cannot, cannot fly across the
continent and go back up to Eminton.
It's just playing with fire against two of the greatest players in the world.
And you would think, and Edmondson's going to have some say in it,
but between the two games that you've lost in this series,
you had them in hand,
and what happened a year ago.
And you've been the better,
when you've had Edmondson.
It doesn't have to be a,
you know,
doesn't have to be a Scotty Bowman disciple to be able to get through to his team and say,
listen.
Right here, fellas.
Start at,
the clock at zero. We start when the whistle goes and we go to the final buzzer and we do not let up because.
And they've been so good with that last change because you can drape Lundell and or Barkov on McDavid all night.
And that's, we've seen a very, very muted Oilers team in the games they've played in Florida in the last two Stanley Cups this year and last year.
The one game that's the exception was game four where the Oilers did look awful for a while but rallied in one.
Yeah. So can you throw the wet blanket on the stars?
again because you have.
When you look at Conner scoring in the Stanley Cup finals
on the road versus at home against Florida,
huge splits.
The momentum, and I mean,
I'm having some fun with it, but yeah, I thought they were cooked.
The momentum has been,
there has been none really throughout this series.
Yeah.
Because you ride the roller coaster.
After game one, Edmonton looked good.
They were physical faster, took it to them.
They played the Panthers game and beat them out.
I was like, this is not good.
And then overtime in game two, you probably, well, geez, if it goes the other way, two nothing,
Eb and then you watch what happened in game three.
Well, now it's going this way.
And it's a complete 180 the other way.
And then that one on Saturday, just because it started so early, it was about four or five minutes in.
Once Marchand scored, they just took over.
the game.
Yeah.
And anytime, because as you sit there and you,
I feel bad if it's
oil as people watch, I don't feel bad.
But from where I'm sitting,
McDavid gets the puck.
Oh, no.
Ooh, good. Good. Good.
Nice. Nice.
They played him real tough.
Holy smokes.
He scares you, but they're just,
for whatever reason, they're able to,
at the last minute, get it away
from him when he's approaching the scoring area.
And like, I don't know. Is it trap hockey?
Is it boring hockey?
I'm guessing if you're an oiler fan, you think this, I mean, it was awful to watch.
But I do feel like Florida has their foot on the gas.
They had the shot advantage.
They had the puck way more than the Oilers did.
So it's twofold.
You're on the gas.
And I guess, yeah, if you've got the puck, it's probably not in your own end.
But it wasn't a sitting back, we're getting outshot 4-1, 5-1.
Our goal he's having to stand on his head, but we can win this one two-to-one.
it was not that.
They had 11 shots through 40 minutes, the others.
Yeah.
Like, that's just stifling in their building with a chance to go up in the Stanley Cup final.
That is incredible.
And what, seven even strength?
Yeah, like either way.
All the goals were even strength, the last one into an empty net.
And you knew the whistles were going to go away.
We've showed you the charts.
Games one, two, three, four.
The penalties keep getting called.
Fewer and fewer as we get deeper into series.
As officials don't want to influence outcomes as much.
much. They're afraid to make these calls that potentially could swing a series. And I get it.
There's humans. They're not robots. So games five, six and seven, you're not going to hear a lot of whistles.
That's not ideal because the Oilers, that power play can be a lethal weapon.
Let's take a look at Marchand. We saw the one goal. I threw a couple of them together. Obviously, his work from from the other night.
And he's having a unbelievable playoff. You think of he had the O.T. Wiener in game two.
There was an empty net goal against the Leafs.
He has been from start to finish in, you know what?
It was a game three or four, had a quiet night.
I remember we were talking about it last week.
Wasn't great.
But this jump here off of the face off.
I was listening to Friedman on 32 thoughts.
He was talking about how he thinks the pant,
the Oilers need to talk to the refs,
just to do anything to try and slow this guy down.
Is he cheating?
I don't know.
Jumping early?
Whatever.
If you can, then you should be trying to do it too.
That's just, that's the game within the game.
I mean, there's no cheating here.
It's just, this is wild that you can make that kind of a move.
To have the.
And that, that's the goal that really, really tightens the screws.
Because down two with a dozen minutes in the third is not a whole Edmonton worries about.
Yeah.
They can get one, they'll pull the goalie, they'll get another.
Shit, they might get three.
but this one here really cranks up the pressure to the point where they had to pull the goalie
with like five minutes left or whatever it was.
Yeah. It's unbelievable move.
Yeah.
So go five hole there too?
Wild.
Added him at the deadline.
So every year we talk about, well, who do you, who is really an impact guy?
Who's a difference maker when you add at the deadline?
Once in a while, you get a guy.
Every team that wins the cup adds a guy at the deadline.
It's just that there's 15 teams in the playoffs that out of the guy that,
They don't win the cup.
Yeah, but you know what I'm saying is just because of stud.
He's not just third line.
I'll give you some quality minutes so that the stars get a rest and get a break.
He is just, you love to see it.
Bennett is kind of the same guy, but here's Marchand.
He was in the playoffs a lot as a Bruin, the most recent one that terrible collapse had to be stuck in his mind.
They win the president's trophy, best regular season ever and then get bounced by this team in around Florida.
Yeah, they blew it, what, three one series?
lead and a lead in the third period. Game seven.
Eating ice cream. It's their whole thing,
though. I was having some ice cream. Marcian's goals
most in a cup, he's got six of the most in a cup final since
S. Aetekin and back in 88. Jeez.
And theoretically there could be two more games. This is wild.
Panthers have 13 road goals. Marshand
and Bennett have nine of them.
so it's funny because we talk a lot about
Sam Bennett and he's a free agent oh boy
hang on also a free agent
oh George straight hats
hello sir can you hear me
yes oh good
what's happening
delayed flights stuck in airports
sadly
I had the private jet but Trump
he came and stole it
from me.
So he.
Yeah.
He's using Air Force One today.
Yeah.
In the weekend.
Stuck in there.
He wasn't sure if he was going to use it, but then he did end up.
So I kind of got left.
Right.
Without anything.
You know what?
Bodies don't do that to each other.
I can't believe this.
We're going to the same spot.
I said, why don't you stop and pick me up?
Like, what are you talking about?
Hey, can I see that hat?
Hang on.
I got another hat.
Wow.
We need an update.
It's really nice.
Because while many of us were watching the hockey game, Rhett was at a concert.
Stapleton.
Oh, yeah.
Guy was awesome.
Yeah.
Really good.
How was George?
George was powerful.
Yeah, powerful.
But 73.
Yes.
Like, I...
Coexisting is impressive.
I almost wish he was just doing a small venue because I feel like that's more his speed right now.
I don't mean it ignorantly.
He's the best of the best of the best of the best ever,
but he's 73.
Yeah, he's the goat.
He's the goat.
He's never been, they call him the king.
He's never been running around the stage.
He kind of gets there and plays his guitar and sings,
but yeah, I mean, 73.
It was,
but it was a perfect night out.
There was some nice drinks to be had.
We need a teased enough for Jack.
And I heard the hockey game,
which I was bragging about the day before was awesome.
So that's great.
Yeah, we were, I don't know what Ryan's, I mean,
Hinder says we were, I don't know what he was saying.
It's on the internet.
I guess I can go back and watch.
I can't really remember.
I just feel like you had strong opinions.
I don't remember what they were,
but I was left to resonating.
You had strong feelings about the game.
Energy.
We were always told by the boss man.
You got to have your energy, right?
Have some energy.
Momentum is a funny thing, retro.
After game one, Oilers,
look good.
Look like a good.
Hang on.
Stand by.
Panthers look real good in game three.
Oh, all right.
We know that.
Oh, game four.
Well, now after game four, we know how game five is going to look.
Now, hang on.
It has been unpredictable, perhaps.
Brett, they held the Oilers to 11 shots in the first 40 minutes of a game in their building
in the Stanley Cup final with a chance to go up three, two.
So weird question.
And it just popped into my brain.
When Wallman scored in Florida the other day,
take a lead six minutes or whatever left in the third,
pumped up.
Kind of goes by the Panthers bench,
kind of, it's like, okay.
It gets a little.
The question I have,
I'm sure I could,
if I thought back,
there'd be lots of details.
Even after they won game one,
it was heavy emotion.
It wasn't business.
Too much emotion from the Oilers?
Too many peaks and valleys?
Do you know what I mean?
Like, is emotion playing,
playing into their game because
the one thing about Florida
being through it, he thought
Edmonton had been through it too.
Even keel, mostly.
They give away
like, we're mad.
We're upset. How do you give up three
and not be freaking
out? Well, they weren't.
How do you get lose the 3-1 lead in the
game one and not be freaking out?
They didn't. It's a very
cold-blooded feel. Yeah.
When the Panthers are on, it's a very
kind of a serial killer cold-blooded kind of feel to them where they're never dead
don't turn your back for a second now it's the oilers who have been coming back but the fact is
they've had to come back the panthers we talked that they've scored two goals in every first period
of the series and they're relentless for the most part on a forecheck and we've seen the swings
okay well hold down the fort florida's honest but we're going to turn it here somewhere
probably in the next two or three minutes and then we're going to have our
surge.
They just,
the Oilers never got that surge going
the other night.
Yeah, and I didn't get to
a while, like the Pidder said, I didn't get to watch
the whole game and we can get emotional and have a
Friday like we had after a 3-0
debacle.
It get wound up, but yeah, the
Florida still seems to be,
yeah, whatever.
And in that, like in that vein,
in the game the other night,
McDavid scores to make it three to one.
So, all right, here you go.
Sam Reinhardt scores 46 seconds later to make it 4 to 1.
It's the timing of these goals that are killers.
How was Chet?
Cal's fine, but I mean, again, we're asking.
I don't care about Cal's brother there.
That's Chuck is a tough time watching his brother play.
I don't know.
He wasn't good enough if you need.
He allowed four on 18.
it's his first loss of the playoffs,
but I don't know that Skinner would have been better or worse or...
I think if this doesn't go Evanton's way,
there's going to be a lot of questions about
can you actually pin Stanley Cup hopes to this tandem two years in a row
without having to look in the mirror and saying,
we miss an opportunity to upgrade net mining.
And look,
they might come back and win,
and that's a conversation for a week from now,
but it's just going to be hard for anyone to look good across the ice from Bob,
who's been very, very good,
even with a couple squeakers.
Yeah.
We can have that conversation for sure.
I don't know what the availability of goaltenders was.
We know what their cap situation was.
They could have changed it.
There's no telling it would have been an upgrade necessarily,
but it's the same guys from a year ago.
They didn't improve their goaltending over last year.
You've got your coach who's going into a now,
a must win kind of a situation, which guy do I go with?
It's an interesting conversation.
It feels like they've played
both cards now, right?
Can we show the McDa?
I put the first McDavid.
I know, again, I'm not a player.
I'm not in this game.
I'm not, I don't have the emotion, all of it.
But there is, so just bring it up, Jack.
This is the McDavid goal to make it three to one in the third period.
And I just want to see what there is for time left.
Because I know, so, so it's three nothing.
And there's 12 minutes and 40 seconds left in the game.
so we could now you can run it this is after mac david is ran into reinhart i was mad at reinhart
i'm like could you check that son of a guy now what i'm this may be a little bit too much the body
language here on macdavit i was stunned because as it goes 3-1 i'm like oh fuck three to one 12 and a half
this thing is not over and make i thought there'd be more of a let's fucking go from macbid
he looks exhausted
and it just looked like
okay well we scored
it's just kind of
it's a garbage time goal that's what it looks like
if you know what I mean yeah
that's a great point I never noticed that
like where's the big fist pump
there's just just go one more time jack
just now that you know kind of what I'm
I thought there would be a
fucking let's go boys
and it's just kind of a
this goal means nothing
well then it's
it's kind of contradictory
to what I was wondering was, are they being too emotional?
In that instance, they're not emotion at all.
Or they're just defeated already, right?
Or defeated.
Which that might be a result of emotion.
Who knows?
It'd just been so stifled all night.
Clearly, at that point, Connor doesn't believe they got two more coming.
So, and now this is completely cherry picking,
but I was just thinking of the emotion that you see from him.
I also grabbed the goal.
A lot of hockey's been played between now and then.
when this took place.
But this is the crazy game one against LA,
which is about a month and a half ago.
But this is the emotion.
Granted, it ties the game and it's late in the third.
But I mean, it's night and day.
It's a let's, he's screaming.
He's energetic.
I just, man, it's three to one.
There's 12 and a half minutes left in the third in your barn.
Yeah, most teams, I understand it.
But this team, particularly, you've got to feel like you're going to
chance. They've erased three goal leads. How many times?
Yeah. So, I mean, again, that's like 40
comebacks this season and playoffs combined.
That was probably his first game in about six or seven days. He's
totally fresh. Well, and that ties it to be. And that ties it late.
Very different. But we're used to seeing that kind of emotion out of him.
And as the captain, I thought he'd be, all right,
boys, let's let's go. But it really,
as I was sitting there watching us, that's kind of curious.
And then not that it has any bearing, but 41 seconds later, it's,
or 46 seconds later, it's 4 to 1.
It's like, oh, okay, well.
He has, we don't know a ton about O'Connor.
Like, he's not super public.
It's not probably Crosby level of private,
but, like, there's an immense amount of pressure
that it's obvious he's placed on himself to win cups.
Is this a guy that's making things harder for himself,
Rhett, with the amount of pressure?
Like, he knows he's going to be able to a Mount Rushmore player.
All these guys have two at his age.
He's got zero.
He, like, he has to win a cup.
He has to.
It's his entire purpose of life is to be a Stanley Cup champion in his mind.
Yeah.
I mean, I don't think it's too much pressure on them.
Like, it was kind of like McKinna, right?
It's like, I don't care about scoring titles or whatever.
Cup.
That's what I'm doing.
And so he's watched Eichel and McKinnon and these other, he doesn't have one.
And I feel like, it's not like he's playing poorly.
He's been played very well.
has been checked incredibly well.
He has one goal in the series.
We just showed you it.
But that doesn't mean he's not facilitating a lot of other stuff.
But I just,
when you see that reaction,
it makes me wonder,
is that just a bit of relief versus excitement
because of how much pressure there is?
Yeah,
I don't know.
I don't know that you're wrong.
I mean,
we'll never know because we're not in his head.
But it's just driving factors for the elite of the elite
that are different than mortals,
I guess,
right?
That's what, yeah.
We don't know, yeah.
Yeah.
So,
you watched that clip last year in the fall.
Or is it frustration?
And you're like,
holy shit.
Like, you know,
you could imagine a passion,
a passionate speech,
but to see that and how raw it was
and how intense it was,
you're like, oh, wow.
Okay.
Yeah.
And did you on the other side?
Like, it could be frustration.
It could be just frustration.
It could be frustration
that playing the Florida Panthers again,
who are at times.
seem quite capable of covering him and maybe not allowing him to have as much impact on a game
it might be frustration with his team going holy f how are we allowing two goals in the first
period every time when are we showing up holy f how do we only have 11 shots through 40
can i get save on a breakaway at one point here yeah holy f can our goal tender make a difference
tonight or you know like so i don't know i guess is the answer but there'd be all kinds of
of reasons as to why he'd be either stressed or frustrated with things.
And I think everything we've talked about probably there's a grain of truth to it.
It's the combination of all those factors that show up there.
He's frustrated.
He hasn't been able to score as much of his want.
He probably understands that at that point, there's a better chance of them losing than
win in the series.
And he wants to go down with a ton of rings.
He knows exactly how many rings Wayne had there and how many Sid has.
Well, you can sit.
and I mean, I don't think he's looking past the next game.
But if he was to do that, he's going, okay, we've gone twice with this crew.
It hasn't been good enough.
Now what?
How are we improving?
What's the next?
Am I sticking around to do this?
Is this the spot to do it in?
Can it be done?
Like, there would be, that's a beauty of women of winning that fifth game is now you've got that team that you're playing against,
questioning everything going, oh, God, we're in a.
And if they lose focus on, no, no, no, no, we just got to go play our game and shift at a time and get all the stupid cliches.
If they don't focus on those things, then they do get distracted and start stressing and worrying about other things that probably aren't as important as just playing a shift to shift basis.
There's probably so many layers there.
We don't know what he thinks about when he's lying in bed at night.
We don't know what he thinks about over the years.
He's been there a long time.
And this is not, this is very much a deja vu.
over again for him this this team they just they're so hard to play against they're up there they've
outscored us 114 in first periods so we're chasing and it's i'm finding it hard because they play
me and then if you do happen to get through then you've got bobravsky who's playing as well as he
would hope to play and that's better than what's happening at our end it would have to just be
it is such so much effort and hard work and sweat and all of it goes in to just get run out of a building and to get to get suffocated it was a demoralizing one i have to think for the oilers now again i i will catch myself because as i say momentum and i thought this is about the third or fourth hairpin turn for me that this series is taken but as impressive i said to ryan before you got on that six one beat down in game three was impressive
This to me was more impressive.
I know you didn't want, but they went into that rink.
They were ready for a party.
I said they're going to sell nine million beer.
Like the whole city, the whole country is ready.
This game, Hockey Night in Canada in Edmonton, look out.
And the Oilers looked good for the first four minutes or so.
And then Florida just slowly started to choke the life out of them, which is just credit to them.
And it's not, I don't feel like it's New Jersey or Jacques Lamar,
Minnesota wild hockey. It's just
we're coming at you
and we're checking you hard.
And the next line that comes out, they're doing the
same thing. And if you get through them, then our D's
going to play you hard and then our goalie's
playing well, it's quite
a, when the Panthers are on and don't
shit themselves and give up three goal leads,
I think, well, when do we talk? But after the
Carolina series, when Rod
Brindamore came out, I was like, well, these guys,
these guys are real good. This is, this is what
it is. And for Ruby, after that
series, like, this, this team's the standard.
This is the standard bearer for how
you need to play and how you want to play right
now. Um,
and it feels like the Oilers are kind of
well, and they don't, and
they don't wet the emotion of anything
seemed to bother. Like,
yeah, this is a final in a row.
They're not going to overreact to stuff.
There's just, three nothing lead
that we just blew to go up
three one. Whatever. We'll just
win game five in Edmondson. What's a big deal?
Then that one.
So you have the 5-2 goal check?
It's just as I was, you know, 5-2, right?
But the Oilers pulled the goalie.
They Corey Perry scored, one from distance to make it four to two.
Sticking Cory Perry.
Now just watch this.
It comes down here, lost to Rhine, he's going to get the puck.
He fires it into the empty net.
So it went in?
Went in the empty net.
It counts.
As I seen the LA Kings, they can't do this.
to give him 100 tries. It just keeps missing
if you're the LA Kings. So that 4-2
game became not 4-3
it actually went 5-2.
Oh wow, that's a big gap. Which then
becomes a big gap and with a minute 23
it was kind of curtains.
I don't know.
And so you're saying that goal counts as much as the other ones.
I don't know how you're not coaching
at least
the eye in the sky.
Yeah.
Right?
Like,
I mean, shoot at the empty night.
I'm open to the conversation if anyone wants to have it.
But yeah, we'll see how that goes.
It's tough to leave such a lucrative.
You'd want to, yeah, and you'd want to no trade.
Yeah, to leave this YouTube show that we do.
Can we show Brad or the Brad Marchand to retro,
37 years old?
The Boston Bruins didn't want to.
there was a contract negotiations fell apart, right?
They were talking extension.
They had a gap and it was like, you know what?
It's not happening.
You're going to trade me to Florida.
And they did, as you can see.
Retro, and I know you're on a small screen,
but I was dying for the whiteboard on this one.
Eckholm.
I don't know.
B.XA talked about it in the broadcast.
He was like, well, being face off ready.
You watch the drop of the puck and Marchand is always on his toes.
So now on the left side of your screen,
Rhett, at the bottom, he's a left-handed shot,
but he's playing on the right D spot.
So I don't know if that has anything to do with it.
But at home, it's almost like he was not prepared.
It was a tough night for Ekholm, Retro,
for the guy who's their best defensive guy,
he had a long night.
Let's see.
Is he testing?
He was definitely test.
It's man or body,
preferably both
but man or
or puck preferably both
not eat neither
is usually what
what you're told
as a defenseman and actually
I don't think playing your offside
as a defenseman makes any difference
overall if you're actually ready and play correctly
but in that circumstance off that
the draw in the neutral zone
it did because he was poking outside
if it sticks on the inside it's going to come to the inside
it might give him a little bit of chance to recover more, but you're all,
it just screwed up.
Yeah, he doesn't want to get beat wide, but then the middle of the ice completely opens up.
And then it was Walman, to your point, who was celebrating in.
My kid asked me about that celebration after Walman scored, and I said,
but there's no way you should be doing that.
He said, what do you think about?
I'm a Walman.
I said, well, I think he's decent, but I sure his F wouldn't do that, because you're
not good enough to
be strut around like a big dog
and then this happens.
So,
karma's a bitch.
And maybe I misread,
maybe I misread his reaction
when he scored to take the lead in
Florida. Maybe I thought he
whooped up. Huge emotional
moment because they're down 3-0 and come back
to take the lead. But,
you know what else is a hugely emotional?
Getting your ass undressed and
fucking giving up this goal. So
he does get absolutely walked by
Marshan that's incredible you're flying backwards into your gold tender oh god yeah oh he's going
backwards down the loose run interesting you're not allowed to do that on the water slide jake
sorry jake feet first facing forward the beauty is but i absolutely love seeing that dean as as
down as i was on friday i am glowing again today at a great concert these highlights are wonderful
wonderful, my arrogance and confidence is building.
It's just what I needed.
It's just what I needed to.
What a Father's Day weekend it was.
Oh, man, because I had a feeling it's,
I'm going to be a little down in the dumps.
If things go the way I assume they're going to.
I was just going to go up for the third period,
but because the Panthers inspired me,
I decided to link up with Jack,
which was a horrible idea.
Yeah, weird.
Weird that.
He was chatting with someone that was,
a real big oilers guy and it was getting a little bit hostile and to come in to diffuse things.
Is that right?
Let's not get into it.
Were you going to shoot the old dukes?
No, I was shooting dukes.
It's more just like hurling threats back and forth.
It's good stuff.
Jack.
Jack, come on.
You're not that guy.
I'm not that guy.
I mean, not say you wouldn't be that guy, but I feel the bad influence when the two of you get together.
I, well, I think it's a healthy two way.
I should have stayed in and not met up with Jack,
but once I was out with Jack,
it's like, all right, then dummy, if I'm out,
I'm going to buy you a thousand guineasus.
Was that a tough sell, Jack, to get Ryan to come meet you?
No, not at all.
Not really, hey.
I probably should have stayed home too.
Yeah.
Hey, we were inspired.
Panthers.
Never quit on your dreams, Rhett.
That's right. Don't back down.
No days off.
Then I'm not sure if there was plans on doing a live stream or something,
but apparently they ended up back in here.
that we thought about it.
Just some gear.
Yeah, there was some stuff kind of.
Wanted to do a little after burner.
Moving some things around in here?
There's always lots of listeners ready for
after Big Oilers loss.
If you subscribe, you'll get the alerts when we go live.
Yeah.
The beer fridge is getting emptier for some reason.
There must be a thief.
It's hollowing out.
Who's got keys to this place?
It's not acceptable.
Now, you didn't see the game, but do you go back to Skinner?
for game six.
I don't know what you do.
That's,
that's all,
that's part of all this,
right?
Yeah.
It's not like you're going to get motivated Skinner so much.
It's like,
well,
you already kind of told him we like the other guy more.
Yeah,
you're the shifts.
We don't really want to play you,
but we might have to.
I don't know what you're doing that there.
Like,
I didn't watch the game.
So you tell me,
I mean,
a woman gets undressed and,
but I still think there's a save to be had.
Four on eight,
I guess in the,
General, you said four on 18, not good enough.
Yeah.
And regardless of, if you're the Oilers, you're not saying, man, we had them if we just got some saves.
You're saying, holy shit, did they neutralize us and turn this into no event hockey?
Like, it's not really about the goalie.
Yeah.
I don't know that Pickard and Skinner are that different.
They're going to give you okay to good goaltending.
They aren't going to be able to give you a Sergei Bobrovsky, uh, performance like he can provide.
You're going to have to win because of everything else, not because your goal.
is better than Bob.
They're both sub-900 in the series.
You're going to have to win because of the things you do outside of
a goaltending and you only can pray that it doesn't cost you your goaltending.
Right?
Like, I think that's a...
You're trying to win despite the goalies you have.
When you rank, you know, positional groups around the league,
the goalies do not have a top half of the league goalie tandem.
They just don't.
You're trying to win with all the other things you've got because you're only
spending, you know, three million bucks on goalies or whatever it is.
It's kind of a crazy series.
You've had, what, three games go to overtime.
Oilers both wins came in overtime.
Then two other games that the Panthers won that felt like complete domination.
So in some ways, this has been whiskered thin the separation between the two.
But then at the same time, it feels like the Panthers could have won this series once or twice over already.
Yeah.
If they don't piss away the lead and that sort of thing.
either game one or there's haven't won in regulation yet but that said they could have more
overtime wins than they do like it's if i'm the a bunch of coin tosses well speaking of coin tosses
when it comes to gold tending i think that's probably what i would do and i don't know if i depending
on my trust level of with my assistance i may or may not include them in it right because so
if you're if you're no block you're saying all right fellas what's your gut on who we need to start
because you can't flip the coin if the other guys are in the room if you don't trust them to keep their mouths shut years down the road right you're going to flip the coin it's going to be a truth of an oath of silence yes
Dustin Schwartz I think is their goalie guy you're going to talk to dusty and talk to their coaches and talk to the GM and they're going to have a big uh tete a tet a
over what to do
whose heads, whose tails.
A lot of discussions to be had before you flip it.
Well, let's let's wish we should,
we should push that one through.
Skinner.
I feel like Skinner with that mustache.
He feels like a tails guy.
It's a great stash.
You,
I mean,
it's Warner-esque.
It's beautiful.
It is.
I actually really like the guy.
Like,
I love how candidity is post-game.
He never buries teammates.
He's incredibly level-headed and calm.
It's not.
I just don't know that he's that good.
Like when he's on one of those heaters, he looks great.
It can look really good, yeah.
And then he has a couple months where you're like, this is like replacement level shit.
You can get this in the A.
Like he's so,
which guy is going to show up?
This is from a million miles away, but he's so nice.
You almost wonder if some of his team is like, could you be a bit of an asshole?
Maybe it might get another save or two because of it.
If you're just a bit more of a dick, because you're, you're really, really nice.
Yeah, I don't know that it's.
Well, it can be that way.
Do you care?
do life's so good that you're or you just laid back like or do you care because i'd rather
you cared and got mad than being a nice guy all the time different different sort of especially
goalie so stupid goal we should have called barborella and uh seeing if he'd have told us if he
would play he probably wouldn't because then he'd so you you'd be looking for a more of a mike
smith spaz after a loss like that that's
more years. I love a good, I love
a good hairy eyeball to your
teammate and maybe a stick smash
over the, yes, absolutely. And if you're D
when you let in a 130 footer.
What the fuck, guys?
It was from their end, Mike.
Mike, it's not really our fault
when it's, yeah, but you cross in front of me.
Springette line. Yeah, but I mean,
the puck's black
and the seats are black here. So
how am I supposed to? Yeah, I can be
skating through my lines like that. They were
breaking out.
So you're on your way home, eh?
Oh, so excited to get back.
Yeah. Yeah. It's real nice.
It's in time for the rain.
It's supposed to rain later this week, retro.
A lot of, uh, that's okay.
I thought we needed rain. Don't we need rain? How are the fires?
Well, I hope they're getting the rain up there. I don't know.
Yeah. That would be a good place for the rain to go.
There's been the odd little shower here in the evening the last couple days to maybe
just, uh, lock. Did you guys water my plants?
Yeah. Yeah, Jack's been watering the weed plants.
Yeah, I was going to say,
Sorry, the tomatoes.
Smoked it all the other night.
I think that's where they ended up after they came here.
Something like that.
Over to Rett's place.
What else did you end up doing while you're out there?
A whole lot of nothing.
It's awesome.
Went to the rink and saw some old teammates and parents and
guffawed about that.
I don't know.
Listen to Razor complained.
Georgie Sweetland was,
he was ready for Father's Day.
He was going to celebrate yesterday.
They get on his deck and found a few back.
Well, the boys were all good.
It was nice to see a lot of the old folks that had for almost a year now.
Yeah.
When are you moving back there again?
I don't know.
My kids are pissed right off right now today.
I'm an outcast for Shizzle.
Why are you in the?
Well, Dad, why?
Why this?
Well, can't we just stay?
Why?
Why?
Probably got one kid that wants to stay in two that want to come back to Calgary.
You can't win there.
I'm happy to leave everyone here.
I was wondering who's staying and who's going because that's happening.
I can travel. I could see that.
You leave one of the Lugans there with family.
The shoveler and the couple of the boys come here and you go down to the Florida Keys.
You've been talking about this for years.
You'll be at the Keys and everyone else can live where they want between Buffalo and Calgary.
That was also pushed hard by the middle kid was that, you know, dad, like, if we stay today,
I could go to the old school and play in the
charity volleyball game.
Okay.
And, and dad,
games in Florida tomorrow.
Just down the road.
You're already in Buffalo.
You're so close.
I mean, just, yeah, you're almost there.
Pretty easy to get down there.
He's a big, uh, bump set spikeer, right?
He's a volleyballer.
Oh, loves to dig.
He's a digger.
He digs it.
He digs it.
He's a big.
Yeah.
Watch your mouth.
Um, well, I'm so, traveling's hard enough with family and kids, let alone when the mood is not great.
Yeah, I'm not too worried about it.
It's not.
Yeah.
Big shout out to the Panthers for lightning the mood on this ride today.
Yes.
Panthers.
How are you going to get your kid to the game?
What's going on here?
We don't want this going back up to the hippo tank.
No, we don't.
We don't.
I think that a couple things I thought about.
Like, there was discussion that maybe Wednesday was going to be a.
optional. But if they're handed out the trophy on Tuesday.
Yeah, Wednesday is no longer an option. We're going to do a show once.
One way that, yeah, regardless of outcome, we'll pull back the curtain, but there's
some recorded content you're going to enjoy that we'll drop it some point this week.
Yeah, at some point. And it may or it may not. So yeah.
I wonder if I just have a massive shaker tomorrow, invite everyone over to watch the Panthers
hoist again. That would suff us to appease that young.
man because you're right the hippo tank is out of the question
you can't do rusty rusty shanks no yeah rusty goes to every one of those games yeah
rusty is always at those always games rusty shank and burr just never know
yeah when he's gonna shoot like he together does the makeup for two hours yeah something like that
well i saw jack was getting all khaki on our group jays already getting his jinksy pets on what
are you making bets at the wolverine yeah wolverine's obviously a huge oil is home so they're
not going back to the hippo tank they're going to win a home take it straight out to the ocean they go right to the beach right to the beach they don't want to be in emminton right to the elbow room right to the elbow room that'll be back there that would be the thing too right camp out there on tuesday that's what you got to do just go to the elbow room yes get in there early before queues up like that party the panthers had last year would be so fresh in their mind they'd be thinking we could do that again on like tuesday night oh you can't get distracted dino come on now come on now this is my
on now guys stay focused a lot of work to be done
let's do it
although I was thinking
um Aussie brad's prediction
did that did that that
it's a game so don't need any
jigsies here yeah
he was yeah I don't want to talk about it
don't like it at all all right time to board
great seeing you guys
hey buddy yeah see you're at
goodbye right did you get a t-shirt for jack oh
oh geez shoot sorry jack
just I'm gonna find out whether you got that George straight
t-shirt cell phone line
must have just crashed there. Sorry, buddy.
Are you hopeful that he's got you a shirt?
I feel like he probably would have said if he did.
So, no.
You brought it up a couple times just to got ignored.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, I'll do that later.
But right now, God, this Stapleton's good.
Hey, I've got another beer.
He's going to forget about the shirt.
He'll be in an Uber on the way back.
Oh, shoot.
That shirt.
Oh, I'm saying he got, I'm thinking he got you.
You think he got it?
Yeah.
Really.
Because he clearly went to the merch.
He did.
Yeah, that's true.
I like that's a good sign for you.
Coming up on Wednesday,
because what we're going to,
so we're going to have a show,
because we're going to be in Strathmore.
It is the inaugural,
origin brewing.
I mean,
in fairness,
malting and brewing.
I think it's the whole,
the whole deal.
It is their golf event,
the first,
ever.
First of its kind.
First of its kind.
No one's ever had a golf tournament before.
We don't know how it's going to work
because, again,
it's the first one ever,
but it sounds like it's going to be fun.
I guess there's a bunch of people
and they're all going to
golf.
The same hole?
No, they're going to start in different holes.
How are they going to get everyone in and out at the same time?
It's a shotgun start.
Jack, what's a shotgun start?
We've been over this.
It's on Wednesday.
One o'clock out in Strathmore.
We're going to be out there doing something.
And so we were thinking, well, we're going to do a show.
How are we going to exist?
But then, yes, Tuesday night feels like a big night.
Regardless of who is victorious Tuesday night, we probably should react on Wednesday.
I know how we want to react.
Big game Tuesday.
So big game Tuesday.
So big show Wednesday potentially.
That's right.
Wednesday, Strathmore, I would guess there's probably still some spots.
Either way, if not, that's what's going to be happening on all you need to contact the
tap room.
There's a tap room in Calgary.
There's a tap room in Strathmore.
Contact one of them.
And they will give you all the pertinent and relevant details that you need.
And big news.
Big news.
It was last year they opened the.
Cal, the O.C. Origin Calgary. The tap room. Up in the knee. Yeah, in the Northeast,
kind of, you know, just off of Marlborough area, just a couple of...
Far from Memorial. Yeah, not far off of Memorial. You know where it is.
943. 28th Street Northeast. I'm not great with that. That doesn't mean anything to me.
Then all I do is then just put it in my phone. Where is this? I just go left at that light off
memorial. Yeah, that first wiggle my way in.
past the BP and all it's going to be up there.
And then of course, 60 spruce park
spruce park drive and Strathwell.
Well, you know where that is.
It's Strathor, God, yeah.
But you know, when you're, uh, you're sitting down,
you're having a big old pint of the barn burner blonde,
the after birder pale ale or whatever else.
I think they have other beers,
but those are the ones that I'm so fond of.
You're very fond of them.
Um, then you get the growlies going.
I could, uh, and I, I'm thinking that you two guys,
specifically, you and Jack and Ryan,
you guys will love this.
Now open.
at the O.C. O dogs.
Oh?
Hot dogs.
I guess you're going to be, I'm kind of dying over.
I could have a little bites to eat.
So in the past, I've like,
well, maybe get some Uber eats.
We'll get some food brought in.
Now they have got the O dogs made with Nathan's famous 100% all beef hot dogs on the
fresh homemade buns.
They got the classic, the brisket dog, a mac and cheese dog,
chili chid dog.
We had lunch with.
the fellows a few weeks ago.
Yes. They ate light because they were going to sample the wares to see how the menu
would come together.
Well, and they'd just finished seating at that point, I think.
Yeah.
Sounds like things went well as the menu is ready to roll.
So if you're in that area, you're like, oh, maybe I'd like to grab some, because
somebody had sent a message, like, I finally found some Barnburner Blonde.
It's like, well, it's not that hard to find.
Easiest way to find it is go right to the source.
You can go in Strathmore or now in Calgary at the,
I like a little grub with your with your beer.
Now, Jack, I question for you.
Nathan's famous 100% all beef hot dogs.
How many think you could eat?
Let's say in the time of a baseball game.
I guess five and a half.
But I'm doing the brisket dog.
I do a couple of those.
That's probably the move to brisket dogs instead of smoked brisket
layered with the own legal issues,
barbecue sauce.
I want to choose the LB hot dog flavor.
Mac and cheese,
chili cheese dough.
You know what?
I don't want to pick a favorite.
I'm going to try.
each of them and let you know. Okay. Do it. It's a trick question.
We're going to sample them all, then I'll let you know. Got some chips and pico de gall.
Soft pretzel. Mustard.
I like a mac and cheese side. Delicious.
So there you have it. Stop by the OC, grab some origin beers, have a nice ice cold
to just big tall pint or nine, however you guys do it. And you can sample the new grub
off the O-Dogs menu.
Do we have the hours there?
I know they'd mention the hours.
I do. Stand by.
You know, it's a new project for them,
so they're expanding the hours.
We know more days of the week
and on the weekend even expanded hours
from the before.
Mark.
At the O.C.,
Wednesday, Thursday,
11 till 8, Friday, Saturday,
11 till 10, Sunday.
Sunday, 1 p.m. to 7.
Perfect. So opening at 11 o'clock, Wednesday through Saturday,
till 8 on the weekdays, Friday, Saturday, open till 10,
Sunday's 1 till 7.
It's a little matinee.
Sundays.
Yeah.
I see those boys on Wednesday.
We will see them. Yes, we will.
Yes, we will.
Hot dogs are real good.
You fan?
Big fan.
You ever heard of a 999?
No.
I was going to say.
I feel like two or three is kind of the sweet spot.
That way you still enjoy hot dogs.
Right.
Once you turn the corner at about five or six, it's like, I don't.
Yeah, I haven't had a whole since.
Have you guys,
have you guys had a hot dog craving at all?
Have you felt like,
you know, I feel like,
still awful.
Yeah.
Honestly,
after seeing that,
I could go for one.
I had a boy,
Jack,
but then you did wuss out.
I did wuss out.
So you're not the guy to really,
you've had four more.
He might still be a little bit.
That's right.
If you were a man.
Yeah.
That's right.
It's like,
like Ryan Pinder.
If your stomach was as manly as my innards.
Right.
Manly innards.
I'll get there one day.
All right.
Good enough.
Let's do the Pinta Report.
Presentation of Village Honda.
The buy-in event continues.
Pre-owned vehicle.
They want them.
They'll appraise it.
Right.
That's complimentary.
Let's take a look at your vehicle.
Yes, we're interested.
Let's see what.
If you get a deal done, you get your cash in 24 hours.
There's no obligation.
Maybe a deal doesn't get.
rocking the hey no uh no hard no hard feelings no worries it's called mentor yeah that's right
village honda dot com or maybe if if you're like ret and your summer is all about traveling and
road trips and stuff maybe maybe it's time to think about upgrading that vehicle years
going all the way back to saskatchewan traipsing across the god's country out there
it's not how you pronounce it but we'll update that later yeah take a look at it village honda
dot com presents of course the right
all right well fellas we've got news from the calgary flames
one of theirs is confirmed to team slovakia pospals going to the olympics
he's an olympian i'd also like to go you okay i'll take a week off ago uh sure
let me just go over there okay i'll report from there are you going to be
with the slovakian team sure yeah whatever we need to say
I'll stick to the same story,
and then we'll be good.
I'm not Slovakian.
I have no Slovakian.
Kinder doesn't sound.
No, it sure isn't.
We will get into some of the other teams all named their initial six players today.
They start to wind up interest in the Olympics.
The day before game six of the Stanley Cup final, okay, sure.
Other stuff on Flames Nation worth diving into the top 20 draft picks of all time
in release, trickling out day by day.
I think we're all the way up to the top 10 now.
so don't miss that on the web.
As you can see some of the home runs that the numerous GMs and scouts have decided upon,
although you know what, Todd Button does seem to be the constant.
So he's been around from probably all of these.
Top 20 draft picks in flames history.
Yeah.
So not just first rounders, just all.
Yeah.
So you know you've got to get Theo in the ninth round is going to be in there,
Dustin Wolf seventh round, Johnny four.
There's some amazing late picks over the course of the franchise history.
Well, Jerome wasn't a couch.
replaying draft pick.
No, he wasn't.
So that's, yeah.
Definitely not going to be Jerome in there.
Either way, good read there on flames nation.com.
Thanks, Pike.
To the Stanley Cup Final, we go.
Or yes, we have a game six.
We knew was going to happen.
We didn't know who'd have a series lead.
It is Florida up three to two on home ice with a chance to close.
Interesting.
You showed some of the highlights from the,
but you didn't show the one that I really wanted to show.
Because I don't know if we can whiteboard this.
or not, but this right here looks like Peter Shirelli's son or and that, oh, okay, uh,
wasn't expecting that.
Yeah, I don't know what that is.
I'll tell you what.
It's outstanding is what it is.
Well, it's either bravery or stupid.
It's a bit of both.
I feel like that man spilled some amount of blood on the way home.
yeah because there's like okay this guy's a panther fan we don't like him but then there's the
you went in undercover and pretended to cheer and now you now up in the third you're doing four one in
the third less than six minutes left you're revealing your true colors you scoundrel i feel like
again ryan this is one of the if if rep were here he'd be so the camera just happened to be focused
on one fan out of 19 thousand standing up so magical and it's he's he's perfectly
framed. The shot is
they did it's not like they
jumped in halfway. They caught the whole shot.
I don't know what we're watching there.
Now what about that that guy that does the home brew
with the beard behind him there. He looks a little ticked off
by this. Well, he would be. To watch him again in the background
here. He wants no piece of this. Oh my God.
You got to be what. What? What? What is that?
What the heck? Oh.
What in the Sam? Let's just like a talk. Oh, you just. What are
you're doing there, but.
Oh, yeah, can't be switching teams like that.
They got up and gave him that the Dallas Stars treatment on that fan.
Popped them right in the mouth.
How many fights were there up there on the Saturday?
Oh, my God.
I don't know.
It's not good.
Stop fighting, guys.
Seriously.
You're in the cup final.
It's hockey.
Okay, so people aren't cheering for the same team.
You've got to fight.
Come on.
But you guys are cheering for the same team.
You're fighting each other.
What the hell's going on?
Not one guy.
A couple weeks ago.
Jesus.
I mean, that's brain day.
He doesn't wait for the train.
He's going to explain that to the younger people.
I don't know about this.
Jack doesn't know about how you can hear the train coming.
Well, yeah, he was trying to probably see if there was a train coming.
So he laid down on the tracks and put his ear to the ground.
Because you can hear it, Jack.
Yeah.
You put your ear right to the track.
Maybe that's what he was doing is checking to see if there was a train coming.
My C-Train here yet?
I guess he couldn't hear it.
So he just decided, I'm just going to stay and wait.
I'll let you know when I'm.
hear something. Kind of tired.
I'll just stay.
I'll just wait until my train gets here.
Jesus. Back to you, Ryan.
Back to me.
We got some stats.
Back to Jack's graphics.
This is the thing, though.
It's not over if you're the Florida Panthers,
and you still have to deal with
these two superstars.
Look how happy they are.
Right? Like, that's... They are happy there.
That was not Saturday night.
They can be that happy again.
That was a home game in this final, though, because that is the crest from this year.
McDavid, if you can't see it, we'll tell you, 1.64 games, points per game, excuse me.
Very tidy over a point in a half a game when facing elimination in the playoffs.
That's a lot.
Drysidal, over a point in a third per game.
Notable flame, Theo Fleury on the list.
Also on the list, Burry, Sittler, Mario, Wayne, good players.
Play well in elimination games.
They do.
So that's what the Panthers will be up against.
At least they've got last change on home ice.
You know,
if you're cheering for them or whatever.
If you're going the other way.
If you're being unbiased.
There's that celebration where I was talking about.
Yeah,
I didn't like that.
It is a lot of an old guy on couch shaking fist,
but it's also not nothing.
It's not nothing.
I think if you, yeah,
there's,
you just don't need to poke the bear.
To his point about Florida,
it's very workman-like.
It's very,
you know, cerebral, very methodical.
We're just going to tear this thing down.
Or yeah, the Oilers have shown a lot of emotion both ways.
We're showing you a list of teams to win the cup after trailing 3-2.
It's not very often.
Bruins did it to the Canucks in 2011.
Roberto Luongo remembers that.
Yeah.
So does Brad Marshand.
Wings saw the penguins come back and beat them after being up 3-2 in a series.
I'm glad Rets not on for this,
because this was a tough one.
Or were the flames up three, two,
and that?
They were up, yeah.
Well, shit.
On home ice are six.
That's not very good.
This is weird video angle that apparently did not access to that looked like the puck.
It was a really tough one, Dean.
Really tough.
Uh, so yeah, uh, four times this millennia.
It's happened.
Not a lot.
We'll see, uh,
what happens tomorrow night,
whether they force seven or win the whole thing in seven or lose incenterize.
Yeah,
There's some scenarios that exist.
Those are the three outcomes.
That involve winning and losing for both sides.
What else have we got Jack?
Can they both win?
No, only one.
Okay.
Yeah.
Yeah.
No, yeah, yeah.
All right.
I did hear a line the other day that I thought was quite funny.
Everyone's talking, what are you cheering for?
What are you reaching?
And he's like, I'm cheering for the meteor, man.
I can't handle you either.
The meteor.
That's not very good.
Oh, geez.
I thought about the meteor winning this thing.
Although I do remember,
Wondering about where COVID was when you needed it.
Right.
I did ask for a lockout.
Yeah.
Not ready to double back on that yet.
We have a lot of passion.
We'll talk to Wednesday more.
Yeah, may still need it.
You know.
Olympic rosters being announced
country by country,
six stars of each team,
trying to pump it up.
Here's Czechia.
Okay.
Marty Naches,
who apparently not happy
anywhere.
Probably happy plan for Czech Republic.
Oh, you don't know that.
He's probably sour today.
He's like, oh, God.
Oh, God.
Where do I got to go?
Milano, Cartina.
Jeez.
I'm going to, you know,
I'm trying to stay off carbs.
Oh, it's going to be so hard.
passes there. He loves cars.
And then Lucas Dostall, the netmighted that had the incredible year in Anaheim this year
might be the comp that Connie's waiting for for a Dustin Wolf.
He's a very good goalie.
Very good, very good.
There's a lot of countries. We're going to plow through this. Denmark.
Nikolai Eelers, free agent.
We don't know where he's going to play next year.
And Freddie Anderson, of course, we saw a lot of this postseason.
He was great until he ran into the Panthers.
A few guys there.
Let's keep rolling through alphabetically.
there's Finland. This is a good team. A lot of stars
you can see. Lindel, Rantin and Haskinen,
Saros, and Net, Ajo and Barkov
up front. Yeah, they can check.
They're good. Yeah, they're pretty good.
The Germans, I'm surprised. It's a good quality
German players. Mo Cider,
Nico Sturham, Leon, Stutzla,
Lucas Reichel and Chicago
and Gruber. Remember that
Big Free Agent signing the Seattle's made?
Yeah. They were so happy to get a goalie.
Goosh.
Gush, indeed.
Latvia!
Does everyone get to go to this thing?
There's 12 teams.
It's wild.
Not Russia, though.
Silovs, Merz Likins, that's a nice goalie tandem.
Zemgus Giergensons, long-time saber.
Those are the ones you know the most.
Teddy Blugers, Latvian?
Yeah, the blokester.
You know that?
I didn't know that.
Raise a glass in Riga to Teddy Blugger.
Ovis Balinskis.
Sounds like one of those things when you're shocked.
Ovis Balinskus.
Ovis Balinskus.
I didn't have any idea that was happening.
The Slovakians got some.
players, Cherenac de Tar, Slavkovsky, of course,
by number one overall to the HABs in Montreal, that draft class a few years ago.
Simon Nemich, Marty Pospasal, Martin Fairavary.
All right.
Welcome back to the tournament Slovak.
Congrats, Posp.
And Deshvedan, they're good.
Dahlene, Headman, Kempe, Landisg,
Raymond and Nielander.
What's interesting here is that Landisg's there.
They only had the name six today.
So we're going to see a lot of Gabe Landisg playing hockey.
This wasn't just the, we're going to,
try it for the playoffs and then I'm going to shut her down
going to the Olympics. Yeah.
I mean, you put his name there.
Yeah. Yeah. It's nice to do.
The Swiss, he's your Fiala,
Nita Ryder, Yossi, Meyer, Seganthal.
A lot of good Swiss players. A lot of teams
too. A lot of countries.
With your graphics here.
Oh, man. Yeah.
Is that the last one?
I got any more. I just like to have.
It's got to be.
Oh, hey. Look at this.
Cal McCar. Nathan McKinnon.
Connor McDavid.
Calgary, boy, Brad to Pike,
Betty.
and Sidney Crosby, Sam,
Ronard. A couple of Gallagher guys had, but.
That's right. I like to end my car.
It's nice, eh? Yeah.
Any shocks there? Any huge surprise?
Well, like Cooper's coach, so you know he loves Point,
but I think he could probably name some other guys
before he gets to point, but he's a very good player.
Yeah, I guess Ryan Hardy.
Ryan are really good, man.
It just feels like another guy because you watch the Panthers play,
but you're like, oh, he almost scored 60 the other year.
Oh, and he was second and Selke voting this year.
That means he's just good.
everywhere on this? Yeah, he is. You think Connor and Sam will strike up
maybe during warm up? So, hey, you're going to the L.A. Me too. That'll be
awesome. Oh, gosh, are they announcing you on Monday? What number are you going to wear?
I don't know. Because what do you, you wear 90s? I was going to talk to
see him because I, you know, he did he did a good job as the captain, but you would
do it to make it too? You'd be a good captain too, Connor. It'd be awesome. We should
what are you doing after the game? We should make plans. Yeah, let's get out a piece of paper
and then mock up are the rest of the roster. What's your face like spaghetti?
You like it?
Me too.
Oh,
Meatballs.
I love meatballs.
That's probably what's going to happen.
That's what's happening.
Uh, we'll wait for the Americans,
but it probably includes the likes of Austin Matthews,
Jack Eichol, the Hughes boys,
Connor Hellibuck and Net,
who won the Vesna and the heart.
Seems like a season.
Gas at the opening six.
Making us wait.
Making us wait.
Or it's happened and I have not seen it on my phone in the last hour and a half.
US Open closed yesterday.
Uh, J.J. Spawn,
who toiled and grinded on many tours
below the PGA, won his first major.
Not a normal day for JJ being the leader.
I bogeed five of his first six holes,
still came back and won it by jarring a 64 footer on 18.
But he was dealing with more stuff than that too, Dean.
Today I was running to CVS in downtown
because my daughter had a stomach bug
and was vomiting all night long.
So I was just like, okay, like my wife was up at 3 a.m.
And she's like, Violet's vomiting,
although she can't keep anything to have.
And so it was kind of a rough starts the morning.
I'm not blaming that on my start,
but it was just kind of like it fit the mold of what was going on, the chaos.
But my daughter always asked me every time dad goes golfing,
she's like, were you the winner today?
And I'm just sometimes like, yeah, I was.
And then she's like, where's my surprise?
But so today she's like, you're the winner today.
Like she got to see it.
Like she didn't have to ask me.
So that was a really fun moment.
Pretty cool Father's Day.
jarred a monster put.
64 feet.
Insane.
And hat tip to Victor Hovland, who hit it like three feet behind where J.J.
Spahn was so he could watch the line of his put before he had to make his with the tournament on the line.
Huge win.
A guy that used to grind on the Canadian tour.
So props to J.J. Spahn.
Happy Father's Day.
Yeah, happy Father's Day.
Life changed.
Probably get your own hotel room next time, you know, or tell him to stay the fucking home.
That is a move there, yeah.
Yeah.
Oh, she's vomiting all over?
Yeah.
Maybe don't wake me up.
I got to try to win $5 million tomorrow.
I'm working.
It's a big work event that I have to go to.
If you could do the CVS run or get somebody to take care of the vomiting.
Maybe we should bring a nanny next time,
seeing as I've made millions of dollars from that U.S.
Open win so that I don't get vomited on at 3 a.m.
The day before Sunday.
Or, yeah, or that morning of the tournament.
congrats to him.
The Red Sox pulled off a stunning move.
They traded Rafael Devers on the weekend, which is their best player.
Boston, Bostonians, having a tough go.
Marchand goes to the Panthers.
He's doing all right.
Jason Tatum tore his Achilles.
That's no fun.
He's a star for them.
And now they've just traded Rafael Devers for a pile of people.
Some of them even play baseball.
It's been a good run for them.
It's hard to have.
It's okay.
that everything balances out.
There's been plenty of things that have gone your way.
So what's interesting is this all started at spring training.
Devers is in year two of a 10 year deal, I believe.
They bring in Alex Bregman from Houston who plays third base.
And they're like, no, Raphael, we're just going to put you at first.
And you can D.H.
He's like, well, I just signed a 10 year deal to play third base here.
What are you talking about?
And so now they've traded Devers to San Francisco,
who they will play on Friday.
And Alex Bergman hasn't opt out after this year
his contract he could leave too. Oh, really?
So things getting
very curious in Red Soxland.
We should reach out to the Wolverine, see how he's doing.
Tough weekend for him. It did start early.
Tough weekend for him.
There was like, I'm playing third.
That's what I play. I'm a third basement.
I'm a third baseman.
He's signed a contract.
I'm going to play third.
But doesn't he play third?
I don't know what he plays.
Well, third apparently.
You know where he plays?
Not in this city anymore.
In Boston.
I'm playing in San Fran.
We'll keep moving.
Stampeters moved to 2 and 0 on the weekend as they went into Toronto.
Actually, a really good crowd at BMO field, which is not often said in CFL.
And an incredible day from Adrian Green.
This is a pick six, one of two interceptions on the day for the Stamps D that got them off to a great start.
Look at the main.
Oh, yeah, he's got a good flow.
Adrian Green, hello.
Two guys had a chance of this one.
There's whoop and then weep.
And down we go.
Oh, I got a blocker two.
don't even need him.
See ya.
It goes like a 9-6 score.
The half.
Offense got going in the second half and another rumble into the end zone.
Some bad news for all Reggie.
Yeah, Begleton was carded off early and it's not easy to watch.
But the fellas played through that 10 point win, 29, 19, 2 and O.
And they're coming back to Calgary to play the red blacks this weekend.
We do have a contest up on our social.
right now. We're giving away two shirts, two hats, two seats. Roe 11, midfield for this weekend's game between the red blacks and the stamps. Make sure you find us and follow us on the socials for your chance to get to the game this weekend.
At the weekend. 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon. Mac Mahmoh. Cabr, you see also in action on the weekend. They were way out on the East Coast.
Halifax against the Wanderers. Down 1-0 in the second half. Uh-oh. Go on Cavs.
At this point, you're probably happy to tie.
Wouldn't you be doing down one-no?
That's all you want in this point, Ryan.
Yeah.
Scoring two goals against Barbados.
Come on now.
There we are.
The Cavs are their camouflage whites.
Margo had a couple of a little bit.
Oh, my goodness.
Oh, my.
Hey.
And the backflip, that's the tying goal.
1-1 would be your final score.
He wasn't happy to the defender there.
That's quite a backflip.
flip. Yeah, it's not bad.
You've been running around.
I just ran 8K and now I'm just going to pop a backflip to Selly.
Better than we are.
I feel like soccer players.
Footy, it must be in very good shape.
You'd have to be.
Yeah, now that you pointed out, geez.
So you're going to run like 10 kilometers and then rip some backflips in there.
One one's your final.
Elva the goal that equalized.
Cab's coming home as well.
Great plogs.
Feeling good.
Don't I think you know.
Probably crop that out of there.
Calgary Surge.
We're at home yesterday.
Father's Day tilted wind sport.
They've been rolling.
And they got the stinking triple S against them.
These aerobro shootings cars.
Target scores 94.
Why not just hit the three and we're out of here.
All right.
Curtains.
Daylights.
See you guys.
Love that.
I think he then jumps up on the scoring table while the fireworks are going off.
It's pretty good stuff here.
Good crowd.
Good crowd.
Big win.
And watch this.
Scores table coming up to say hi.
Reballs.
Then loses his eye.
house.
Whoops.
Oh,
back it up,
yeah.
Shit.
They're in Red Deer on Thursday.
Let's go.
Edmonton in Red Deer.
They're hosting that game of the surge.
And there's the standings.
Overly the stinking Vancouver bandits above them.
Great start to the year for the search.
No swiping.
Stinking seabairs.
Yeah.
Where are they playing in Red Deer?
I wonder, are they doing at the college or at the...
Centrum thing?
Are they?
Yeah.
Westerner play something rather.
Yeah, that'd be it.
Yeah.
Western or park.
There you go.
Washington Park. It's exciting. A lot of buzz around that and
Deer Rouge. Go good. Get it done there, Red Deer. Dear Rouge, eh? You know
who to cheer for? No, obviously. Come on. No. No. No. No. No. Oh, no. Well, no.
Oh, no. And finally, we get a couple things in our universe collided. We always,
you know, spoke highly. A pickle fest in your time in Brandon. Right. And we know
Jack's a big Pittsburgh guy. I didn't know this is a thing. But apparently,
Pickleburg is only a month away.
And so Pickleburg just celebrates all things.
Pickles in the city of Pittsburgh.
Pickle sandwiches, pickle sauces, sliced pickles.
Oh, I love pickles.
My kid, my kid loves pickles.
Yeah?
Oh, yeah.
Because, yeah, I love pickles too.
I don't, yeah, like, I'm all about that.
Now, what, what's your favorite kind of pickle?
Are you more like the sweet?
Do you like the kosher?
Kosher's are good.
Those huge ones from the deli.
Those are nice.
Yeah, I love the kind of the sours from the deli.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
It's pickle fudge.
Probably a pickle ball if you want.
Yeah.
More into that part.
Well, get ready, Pickleburg.
It's only a month away.
September 50th and 6th.
Jack, do you have great memories as a child
growing up in Pittsburgh and going to?
Tons of memories of this, yeah.
I bet.
I'm not a pickle guy at all.
I'm not excited about this.
I'm telling you, I don't know.
It's weird about, I don't know.
Some people don't like pickles or you don't trust people that don't like pickles.
Maybe it's.
Both.
Yeah.
How good are pickles?
What about cucumbers?
Me?
I got a spicy chicken sandwich last night.
No pickles, please.
See, I see that a lot.
People's like, no pickles.
How do you know the pickles?
I think it's so flavor.
If you're in a deli and you can sandwich,
you get the pickles on the side.
Extra pickles.
Yeah.
Maybe you give a little wink.
Throw an extra pickle on there from a talk after the show.
Intervention.
Finally,
uh, this young man.
an influencer with a potty mouth, but
someone from Moose Jaw
asked for him to give a shout-d out, I guess this is how it makes me. Jack, who is this guy?
What do we know?
I haven't his brother, the island boys.
Prairie insulation.
Okay, so let's have a listen.
Yo, what's up, yeah? I just got my house spary phone by Perry
insulation item. Moose Jaw, Saskatio,
hit him up.
You ready?
Scott did you see your way on?
Let's try that again.
I got I hear that
So yeah, I just got my house
Sparry phone by Perry insulation
out of Moosja
Sasketasuan
Hit him up
Who is this person?
This is an influencer Dean
This is what your children look up to
Like how many millions of followers
How much money does this man make too?
Jackass
About Prairie insulation in Mooseja
Saskia Siskash Chituan
I feel like I bought tickets to watch this asshole
in Montana
About a month and a half
Can I get one more Saskatchewan from him?
1.4 million followers.
Oh,
Yo, what's up?
Yeah,
I just got my house spayed foam by Perry insulation item.
U's jaw,
Saskotation.
Hit.
So,
like,
where does this donkey live?
I think like Miami or something.
How the fuck?
He clearly didn't.
He clearly is getting paid.
Freight foamed.
Someone is paying him to do this.
Yes.
This is how he makes money.
You just got to be dumb.
Well,
he's that.
I feel like we've got that down.
We do it.
It's the millions of followers and the spray foam.
Skates Tuascha.
Because you have the other pronunciation of Moose Jaw.
Yeah, that was, of course, from one of the best movies of all time.
Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
That's right.
And how does he say it again?
Just so we can clarify this.
In addition, Adam Moose Jaw, Saskotation.
Hit him up.
Which is weird because usually when people have that many face,
tattoos. They're very on the ball.
Astute observation. I shouldn't speak
badly about that.
Anyway, that's the PANDA report brought you by
Village Honda, Northwest Automol online
village honda.com might be seeing them very soon
like tomorrow.
Top secret.
I don't know that it is top secret, but it's
kind of an invite only deal, but
you're going to unveil a new vehicle.
Veiling.
Have you been working on your
they won't trust you with that though.
Okay.
You're gone, eh?
Do everybody see that?
Jacks just waved his phone at me,
which means I got to go read the phone.
Oh, okay.
Because he's sending me notes.
You forgot your bet.
I got some in front of me right now.
We're not done the show yet.
No, he just never sent them to me.
Oh, I see.
Well, that gives me an opportunity then to tell you
and talk to you about the Alberta Teachers Association.
Alberta school boards have the least to spend per student
on public education in Canada. This chronic underfunding has left schools in crisis. Classrooms
are overcrowded. Student needs unmet supports at an all-time low. Record numbers of teachers
are leaving due to worsening conditions. As proud Albertans, we can't stand by while government
policies continue to neglect education. Our schools urgently need your help. We must demand increased
funding and resources to support students and educators. Want to make a difference for Albertans everywhere?
Demand answers from your MLA. Our kids deserve better. It's time to stop the
excuses. For more information, visit

So, people are
saying, so that's a cameo. I'm aware
of what the cameos are. So, Prairie
insulation place, got this guy.
Island boys, yeah.
With the thought being what, that there'd be a lot of people
in and around Moose Jaw that would follow this guy and then would be like, well,
hey, if donkey dick
thinks that this insulation place is great,
then because I feel like I'd be the opposite.
I'd be like,
I don't know.
This guy think,
I'm probably going to get a second opinion.
I might have to get another quote.
Yeah, I might go,
so I might shop around a little bit.
Right.
To be fair, we played the clip on a show in Calgary, so.
I know, yeah.
Well, again,
sketched Taiwan.
I'm not,
are we influencers?
I think you're kind of an influencer.
I don't know.
I don't do things.
So I'd have to do things and then tell people how great those things were and then to use those things that I've used.
But I don't.
So you need to be a spokesperson for a furniture store.
That would be the move.
I spent a lot of time on this couch.
I can tell you it's nails.
Well, I can tell you, the new couch and the Ottoman showed up on Saturday.
Oh, really?
Pretty pretty good.
It's going to take a while to get them grooved, but you're here for it.
Yeah.
Oh, they're ready to be grooved.
it's and it's a it's a slumber set for sure you're not really you're not sitting to have a nice
conversation with somebody you're slunking right down that's next support i was watching ricky
bobby saturday night and then i started hearing myself snoring oh hey who's that oh it's me
all right everything's fine just me yeah yeah still me okay yeah just me yeah good stuff yeah
let's do our bets because i hear they exist now
Yeah. Got two big games next two nights tonight.
NBA finals tomorrow, Stanley Cup. There you go. Game six.
Get into the action for the Stanley Cup playoffs. Bet 365. They've got you. Game props, player props, totals, the money line,
even futures like Stanley Cup champions. Whatever your bet is, it's never ordinary at bet 365.
Download the app, get in on the game. Official partner of the Stanley Cup playoffs must be 19 or older.
I have a question for you. Do you have like the Unsolved Mysteries music or X-Files music?
Oh, not on here.
Because there is a thing that I've noticed.
It is the Stanley Cup final.
And it is the NBA finals.
Yep.
One singular, one plural.
Both just best of sevens with two teams.
Right.
Baffled.
Yeah, that's weird.
Either way, this is tomorrow night.
We'll see if these numbers change.
But Florida, significant favorites at home, minus 150.
Oilers plus 125.
The overrunner still sitting at six and a half.
Is it hit again?
Every single game has hit the over?
Yeah.
Jeez.
And if you had to,
Florida minus one and a half for game five.
That was a polite plus 190 on Sunday.
Tonight though, got some hoops.
Pretty sure this is tonight.
16th, yeah, boom, there it is.
Pacers Thunder.
You got the Pacers as big, big dogs plus 325.
They're even in this series, Jack?
Back for game five and OKC.
OKC's been heavy favorites the whole way and it's just 2-2.
And they had to win game four to get it to 2-2.
that's a big over under it's a lot of points 224 and a half bigger than the six and a half
it feels like yeah compared to six and a half it would lead me to believe that it's a higher
scoring sport than the final maybe that's why it's the final finals maybe more yeah more commitment
to defense would clearly just seem to be yeah I'd agree with that either way lots in there
we've also got tennis soccer all kinds of futures
you can bet on the Con Smyth trophy winner,
which I told you earlier today,
Sam Bennett minus 200 to win.
It's all in there.
Bet 365.
No, with that,
thank you,
Bet 365.
With that said,
if Marshand has another Marshani and like effort.
Yeah,
if you scores two tonight,
he probably wins this thing.
You wonder.
He's plus 425, did I say?
Yeah.
Because I might be worth a little
picking up what you're putting down there.
I've already got Sam Bennett to score
the most goals in the series.
Right.
Marchand's kind of shading him a bit.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So I don't need Sam Kahn Smyth exposure.
Maybe I buy some Marchand stock for the Konsmite.
Yeah.
Sam comes back and wins.
The Konson's probably outscored him anyway.
Yeah.
It's an interesting thought.
It might be just full nonsense, but we're going to give it a try.
It might be.
We can take a look at the Super Chat proceeds from our Super Chat.
Go directly to the youth centers of Calgary.
Place where kids are welcome, accepted.
Getting them off the streets.
some just good
good lessons
more meal
again people helping
make our community
a better place
as we go
mattie hurl

finish the job
that's a cat or a dog
there
panth
probably pat the cats

I don't know
is that a cat
I see a tail there
the kids
how does Pinder
feel about a potential
Coots
or Reshney
or Reshney
Flames pick. If they're at 18, there's a lot of centers around there. I don't know how many
you're going to stick at center, but yeah, I don't know enough to tell you what's different about
the two or who they should pick. That's very honest of you. It's, it's looking at a lot of the list.
There are a lot of I play center in junior centermen that aren't huge, but are good.
I think that Ben Kindle's a guy that's going to get some love to the Calvert Hitman winger,
but again, not a center. They do need centers. We'll see. I like the idea of picking a center at 18,
Matthew, if that's what you're asking.
Yeah, they could use some centers.
Yeah.
Handsome Dan's vacation rentals, handsome Dan.
Doncia, $50.
Because this was every round,
Handsom Dan randomly picked a team where every time they won,
he would donate to the kids.
And he'd had a tough goal because I think the three teams
he picked in the first three rounds all lost.
But he said, you know what?
I hadn't even picked an Eastern Conference team.
I've got to pick an Eastern Conference team.
Sure enough, Florida's.
the last team in the east left.
LA and then it was Vegas and I think he had Dallas.
Dallas is round three.
Probably just use one of those randomizer apps.
He's got Florida this round.
Boys, I've been watching the Oilers and I just realized something.
Their goalies seem to not be as good as the other team's goalies.
They need more forwards so they can outscore that problem.
Can you tell the Oilers brass so that they can address that?
I will quibble a bit with that.
We haven't seen Vitech Vanichekek.
He might not be good.
And he's the backup for Florida.
Potentially, yeah.
The guys that are playing, I'd agree with it.
Yeah, whoever the other team, you could argue maybe in round one that,
he was nominated for the Vesna.
Well, we know that a lot of Oilers people do watch the podcast.
So they'll maybe pick up on that.
That, yeah, don't.
Pass it along.
Yeah, rather than goal tending,
just keep adding.
Because maybe eventually, yeah, just outscore.
Because I think it still comes down to whoever scores more wins.
That's right.
It's not the most saves wins.
Yeah.
Thanks, Dan.
Great thoughts.
great donation there Mario Mario Marshan's second goal I adore the fact that
Walman follows the puck into the end in net on his ice after getting torched couldn't
happen to an ice or fellow respect to Pinder for not calling the series after game four finish
well do you get a bonus point for that I don't know okay he's probably like what are you
doing here where are you doing here Cal's like uh so you what are you doing
to help here. You just got torched and now you're sliding into me, you donkey.
And Walman's like, please tell me the puck isn't behind me. Please tell me the puck. Did I take the puck in with me?
No, it was in before you got there, to be fair. Pugh. Oh, good, because I'd have been. That is such a dirty thing.
That would have been embarrassed, embarrassing moment if I would have fallen down and fell into my net and put the puck in.
It's a good point by Mario there. I think that was Mario. Yeah. What was the point?
That is, you know, Jake Walman sliding in ass first was he enjoyed that. Yeah.
It's nice.
We get to show it again.
Yeah.
Good use of video, right?
Yeah, kind of incorporating it into some content.
I like that.
Cutting it.
So that is the super chat.
Now I see something.
Yeah.
So when the show ends,
you can still leave a super chat.
So someone did that on one of our previous shows,
but it's a question for RET.
So do we want to hold on to it tomorrow?
Yes.
We'll hold on until we've waited this long.
Can you give us a teaser?
Do you want to?
I can bring it up and we can show it again tomorrow.
Or, yeah.
Oh, show it tomorrow.
I'll just wait until it's right sure that be good being that it's for Rhett you can do that thank you to everyone for super chatting it's a good little weekend man I like that Brad Marchand how don't I mean just the feels you told me I guess I was realized it's true empty net goals are big
chants good empty net goals are good do you how long ago 2011 was that's the last time Marshand won a Stanley Cup so long ago god you'd feel good if he'd get it yeah raise it again
Jack, think about that.
It's all famous.
Yeah, I'm trying to think.
I graduated 2017.
So I would have been grade, right?
Oh, he's a puppy.
He has a middle school.
Doesn't he deserve another cup by now?
He does. Yes.
Really does.
Mm-hmm.
You know, I like to argue, but I can't quibble here.
I'm not arguing that either.
Which is nice.
Can't do it.
It finally happened.
I found the one thing that Pinder can't quibble with.
Nope.
Don't do it. Can't do it. Can't stop, won't stop.
Who knew? It would be around the Oilers.
Don't know what you're talking.
It's about Brad Marchand Hallfamer.
Well, appreciate everybody watching and listening.
Hope you had a fine weekend.
We're back tomorrow, retroback and studio.
It'll be a game day.
I hope everyone had a good dad's day.
Yeah.
Thanks to all the kids and the moms and the others for the great celebrations yesterday.
Terrific.
Turfick.
How's the show, Jack?
Great show.
It's good to see Rat jump in.
Yeah.
I feel bad about his play.
delayed. It was good to see him. I'm okay with it.
