Retro, what do you see there when you look at this? I think this is going to be a real SOB. I think this is going to be back and forth. And I think this is a long series. so I don't know exactly. But when you watch Montreal play together, they are all in together for each other. And I think it starts from, well, I actually think it starts from management. And it goes to Marty St. and I think he's got everyone

only concerned about the success of the team. And that's not pulling the rug out from anyone trying to do well personally, you know what I mean? Stopping 50 goals scores like Caulfield, 100 point guys like Suzuki. Slofkowski hit 30.

Each three of those milestones, it was like the guys in the bench loved it more than the guy that got the feet done. I agree, we're a million miles away. It feels like a really cohesive unit. Fowler's a rookie this year. Montembow went to the bloody four nations, but he's their three. Certainly you give an edge to Vasilevsky over any of those guys, but when those guys get hot, especially the first two, they've been quite good at times this year.

That's the storyline for me because I think it's going the distance and can Vasilevsky make one more saved than those guys? That's where my bet's set. Carolina top seed in the east, 53 wins, 113 points. They've got the second wild card Ottawa senators. It's a tough one. They kind of smack talked us yesterday a little bit. Kind of.

The Oilers made quick and easy work of Vancouver to finish second in the Pacific. The Ducks, they also get a win. Ducks had two more regular season victories than did the Oilers, but one less point. Goals for against, the Oilers snug things up at the end of the year. Since Paul Coffey went behind the bench, their defense. offensive end go way better. Oiler's a plus 13 goals for against, ducks minus 15. So they're scoring, but they're also giving up. And if you subscribe to things, maybe snug it up in the playoffs, you wonder.

Well, I don't even snug it up. If you're a team that gives up goals and you've got McDavid and Drysadle on the other side, that's a big issue. I think this is incredibly lopsided. And you want to talk about easy paths for teams? the Oilers put them in any other division. I think they're sweating. This is a very soft touch. It's not just that Anaheim isn't good in these certain areas. Who's played worse that's in the playoffs than the ducks over the last 10 games?
