Hey, here we are.
Another day, another show.
Kind of a gloomy one out there today.
Just look at this.
What's it?
His temperature would be lower.
It could snow.
Oh, dear.
What the talking about?
Well, it is Calgary, you know.
Is that we're in the foothills?
Yeah.
Part of the.
Well, there's the prairies to the one side and mountains to the other.
I don't know if you ever been in a town like that.
I'm not sure if it's ever been
F1.
Bet365 is the official partner of this show,
Barn Burner,
official partner of the NHL as well.
Just good folks.
19 or older, play responsibly,
whatever the moment,
it's never ordinary at Bet365.
And just to get out of the head.
As always,
if you're on the YouTube,
watching live,
you put in a comment with some cash,
we'll take the cash and get it to the youth centers of Calgary
and then put your comment on the show.
I don't think there's any need to deal
Dally.
What did you think of the match last night
between the Calgary Flames
and the Seattle Cracken?
She was a real barn burner.
Dean.
Yeah.
Jack?
Real barn burner.
Actually, it was good.
Even my, the DUG.
It was the first one I saw.
The DUG actually texts me.
Wow, that was a hell of a game.
It's a heck of a game.
Yeah, I mean, it was a heck of a finish.
Entertainment value wise, yeah.
Yeah.
I liked the flames start.
It was not crazy about the middle.
little, you know, it's like that.
What do they call that?
The compliment sandwich.
It's like, hey, you guys are doing real good.
Except for this.
There's room to improve.
A great finish.
Definitely going to need to change some things there.
But at the end of the day, I really like how it's going for you guys.
This is really something you got going here.
We did that event on Monday night at the dome.
And it was, you know, the fans are there.
It is nice.
Odd, but nice to have games that mean something at the.
this point because two, three, six months ago, a year ago, we had all thrown in the towel.
This was not a possibility.
Watching cadre dance after scoring an OT winner at the end of March wasn't going to be
important.
Yeah, crowd is into it.
Yes.
I mean, there's people you could see in the crowd as he was, as you mentioned, dancing down
the wall.
There's people hug and they're on their face.
Well, this is fun.
Wow, this is exciting.
This is better than...
It's sure great watching a group of guys
care about winning, kind of like us as fans.
Yes.
Putting it in an effort.
I like that.
Sure.
Jack, do you agree?
Or are you...
He was watching...
Not everyone does.
I'm done with that team.
Yeah, I agree.
As a sports fan, I've never really cheered for a team that's just dead halfway through the season.
So it is fun to like, I know like people want this team to be bad and get a high draftic,
but that sucks.
At some point,
and I saw somebody in the,
in the chat basically say,
you just got to go all in now.
You got to go in.
It's that you just,
what's the upside to lose in a bunch of now is,
no,
go for it.
The year after,
you don't know what they're going to be,
but for right now with whatever 12 games,
10,
however any games they got left,
you may as well try and win them
because I don't think you're finishing bottom 10.
I don't know,
sorry if I'm cutting you off.
I don't,
I don't know how much value,
but it ain't zero value to having
guys like Wolf and kids go through
a games that matter in an attempt to make a playoffs.
Right?
Like, I think there is value to that.
Last year, you think about Zedorov was one, right?
Lindholm was what you didn't want your young guys to be in a room where you had veteran
guys, older guys, pissing and moaning and who gives a shit and all this.
This is not a bad thing for Zeri and Cornado and Wolf and all these guys to see Uyghurs.
and Coleman's and Cadries
digging in and giving a shit
like they are.
I mean,
you saw everything from Cadry last night.
You got a fighting major
that was not a fight.
I don't know.
You keep your gloves on.
You get five for fighting.
That's always interesting.
But you score a big goal.
You get thrown into the box.
You come back.
You do it again.
For the younger guys,
for sure, I think there's value in that.
We may as well,
we'll take a look at the winner.
This is a,
course, after they've lost the lead late, which we can talk about in a moment.
Like that part.
And I don't know if they've changed it this morning, but the question last night was, why is,
uh, why is Wolf not getting an assist here?
It's Wolf to Coronado.
And I like the look on decor, it's like he knew he was beat before the puck went in.
Yeah, you're going to go back that way.
Okay, fine.
Fantastic.
Yeah, it was like, I really bit on the first.
And it's a hell of a play for Cadre.
All right.
I'll just get to the showers.
So it's a four-game win streak.
And in all of them, sorry to interrupt you.
I like the excitement from the coach's point of view, too.
It's very nice to be stoic behind a bench.
Yeah.
But it's also nice to know that guys care.
Act like it don't matter.
And it's no big deal.
It's all right for it to be meaningful.
You may recall, Godry did it.
Just the other night.
I do recall.
Islanders.
Yeah.
What would you have done, Dean?
Well,
the same sort of move.
The guy would have caught me by the blue line.
Puck wouldn't sit down either,
eh?
It's like, oh, geez.
Yeah, by there, it's like stick check.
I probably toe pick.
Nets off.
I mean, look at it.
Dancing.
Look at that kit behind there.
Yeah, pumped.
Pumped.
Some popcorn in there.
You're going to take that.
That's right.
So there are four points back.
And you know what?
We talk about a lot over here over the course of the season.
There's little things that mean things like points and there's wins and all that.
And then there's the other sides.
They've shown that resilience that I think is important to.
And you don't have that unless the guys care.
It's all kind of connected, obviously.
Go back to the Rangers to a lesser extent because they weren't very good.
But Panarin scores a minute 13 in.
You just got shit pumped the night before in Toronto.
Now a minute 13, okay, boys, better start.
Here we go.
Minute 13 scores.
All right.
Damn it.
Go up two to one by the end of the first period.
You hang on and win.
You go play the devils.
You are down 3-1 going into the third period.
You give up the 3-1 goal with 28 seconds left in the second.
Shit, that's not ideal.
No sting.
Erase the two-goal deficit in the third.
Take the lead with three minutes and 20 seconds left.
empty netter win islanders we talked about it the islanders they go up by a goal with under three left
tie it overtime and then last night this felt like it kind of remember the vancouver game
it's like this is one of the biggest games of the year but you're not going to lose this are you
and and they did so are you going to let the crack and do this to you again like to slip up there
kind of did they found a way so all of these in some fashion are in come from
behind context in this four game win streak.
The kicker of it all is those darn St. Louis blues.
Oh, Dean, we don't.
We can wait on it, I guess.
They are good right now.
Good golly.
12 and 2?
Yeah.
Do we want to?
We can get into it now.
You know what?
We should maybe just let's keep the good,
the good vibes rolling.
All right.
Let's keep you going.
Bye bit.
Bye, but.
good vibes going um
wolf was pretty good again eh
yeah save off burakowski then that even that save off
have done before the that would the cadre
breakaway doesn't happen if that puck goes in
off that shot oh because it's the first ball
then they're done yeah because then that would make it uh
and then done would have been dancing yeah he would have been
yeah doing the same thing he yatcha cha cha cha i'm not sure
So yeah, for Cadre, what is it, 10 of his 28 goals are in the third period or later,
back-to-back games with overtime goals, 300 career goals for him after last night.
It's impressive.
It's, is it three years ago?
I'm thinking back to that game when Darrell was still coaching.
And where they played Chicago, and I think it was an important game,
and he was embarrassingly out of it.
Shamefully, non-existent.
He was done with the season.
He was done with the coach.
He was done with all of it.
He was done with putting on his gear,
and he wasn't afraid to just show it.
And kind of since that point.
Has been great.
He's been, he has been.
And does he get older by the year?
He does.
Is he make a lot of money, all of that?
But by and large.
Does he make too much?
I don't think so for 28 and what he contributes?
it's not too much money.
I was going to say,
this is,
this is what you wanted.
If you were,
the what if game,
what if the flames hadn't been as good,
and someone had traded for cadre,
this is exactly what they'd have wanted.
This is what they wanted.
Yeah,
this is the guy that you,
if you were,
we want guys that are,
that give a shit and are clutch
and come up big in moments that matter,
and he's done that.
It's a spike bomber just.
I don't think so.
I think,
They're getting.
I don't want it to be a pike bone.
It's just,
it's information.
What do you think?
Never mind.
We had another Rasmus stare last night.
Did you see it?
Do you like the Rasmus stare?
I think you have to score more.
Because at the start of the year was happening a lot.
It was very cool.
I liked it.
Yeah.
I do like it, I guess.
I do like it.
He had the stare going.
Somehow he found a guy quickly.
I almost wanted to.
He searches it out.
Offensive zone face off.
If it comes back to me and I'm going to get a clapper here and it goes in.
So here's the goal.
This is a big one.
Now,
Codry's tied it on the four minute man advantage that had no zip at all.
And I mean,
there's guys.
They're placing them.
Do you think it is?
Flay.
Hey,
it's kind of like,
uh,
team is in on this.
Like the Oscars seat fillers.
Yeah.
We're going to need,
uh,
it's a heck of a shot.
Don't think just,
just,
Just throw, nuke.
Crowd goes crazy, to your point.
Barn was alive.
Looks like a right shot, Rhett Warner there.
Just leaning into it.
Oh, he's fine.
Hey, hey, you.
See that?
And guys in his seat.
Everybody else is up.
Look at guys banging on the glass, love and life.
There's one lonely little chap.
Oh, geez, guys.
We were up, we were up at the 2 to 1 in this game.
Oh, man.
and then they found them afterwards.
Oh.
Yeah.
Oh,
T-shirts.
Rasmus Anderson stared at me.
Nice little T-shirt for the kiddo.
Hey?
Like that.
Maybe.
Maybe turn things around.
Maybe that kid's big Raspasant, big flames fan today.
Turn your life around, kid.
Quit being a Seattle hippie.
That's right.
You got to have better dreams.
Put down the bong, son.
Grab a steak and a cowboy hat and get to work.
Let's go.
Can you do any.
rough neckin because that's what we need we don't need you hippies dope smoking hacky sackers out
here get that jersey off son so yeah it's good fun night if you went to the dome last night
you're a flames fan you felt hey things are good and then oh shit this is not good and then
things are good and then they gave up the time goal we're not sure now though no who cares
results yeah
I like the Huberto and
Zeri. I liked that.
Zeri's a good player.
He is looking impactful again.
Yeah, he's back.
He's back.
Wolf looks good.
Good to have Weeger back in there too.
And so, like, who do we play in the first round?
Well, here's the thing.
Still some ground to make up to get into the playoffs.
Oh.
There's a number of games left.
We're not.
But the four-game win streak is still good.
That's real good, isn't it?
Really good, yeah.
And it's no, it's not like all wins.
Win.
You haven't really gained any ground in that time.
Oh.
As you look there now, the gap is still four games.
Now, this was not a game in hand.
We've talked about that.
You have three of them.
Against the Saint-Las Blas.
Which could give you, if you win all three, six points,
your four points back, you're still in really good shape.
You do need to win these games in hand.
Plus some others.
You're going to make it seven in a row then?
Is that kind of?
It'd be great.
Oh, it'd be so good.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Stinking blues.
What are they doing?
See, that's the thing.
The towel had been thrown in.
People are bringing it up, really?
remember this once before they were puppy poo in January and then they came back so this is a jeremy
rutherford jim's boy oh jeremy covers the saint los blows since the four nations break blues
13 two and two they've averaged just over four goals a game that's tops in the league since then
they've given up 2.18 that's third fewest so they're scoring a lot and giving up not so much
great tandem uh they've scored 69 given up 37 so their goal differential from before
the nation's break till now has gone from a minus 17 to a plus 15.
They're really, really feeling it.
Come on Montreal. Help us out a little.
So, and meanwhile.
But we're just focused on ourselves, right?
Really, it's all about us.
We control our own destiny.
So.
Yeah, I mean, if you go back before the break, there's another win.
So it's 14, 2 and 2 in their last 18.
That's a really good run.
And that's 20 games, 14?
No, that's 18 games.
either way quarter of the season
I'll leave it's excellent yeah really rolling but the
the thing that's maybe I was in there's probably not so much
looking at Calgary because all of a sudden they've got
Minnesota that's the one thing we haven't really we've been
looking Calgary line St. Louis that's the kind of pocket
that we've been looking at they might be looking now well
that's good the flames are behind us below that line but what's
what's in front take a look now
or don't look now if you're the Minnesota Wild.
The Minnesota Wild are saying what the age.
There's a trainer coming.
I guess because now there's just a two point gap.
Yes, game in hand, the whole thing.
But there's a two point gap separating St. Louis and the Minnesota Wild.
It's a race to 95th, team.
But you know what? The flames could also say the same thing.
Hey, Wild, we're coming for you too.
Oh.
We're the hunters.
You're also the hunted.
You're the prey.
As wild as you might be.
That's right.
You wild, crazy guys up there in St. Paul.
I think it's probably a little bit of a reach to think they catch Minnesota.
So tell me, walk me through your math.
You're saying it's a race.
Don't worry about any of this or points percentage.
It's a race to 95.
That's what I think.
I think 95 points is getting in the playoffs.
Okay.
97's too high.
95 points.
Is there?
Because I don't, now Pinder's not here.
here today. Oh, and he would absolutely
berate me. But is there a metric
because he's big on the, you know,
the using, what is he?
Science. Dom has a
thing.
He's got a model. Do you have a
model you're using that's telling you that
95, not gorgeous.
Absolute stunner.
This AI stuff is unbelievable.
Yeah. Does give
an old guy some hope.
Is there some sort of a
mathematical deal that you're,
Because 95, that's more than 93.
95's the number.
I just looking at it.
I've got to, this is, this is just years and years of experience.
Okay.
Knowing.
Yeah, yeah.
Remember what I said, if you won those games in St. Louis?
It was going to be the biggest game of the year.
No one else was buying it.
Yeah.
There's a lot of people who are very happy to let me.
Oh, so see you guys, Rhett was right.
I know.
I didn't necessarily say he was wrong.
But, uh, yes, there was.
two games you'll remember folks in st louis the odd we're going to play the same team back
to back in the same town weird uh flames didn't win either one of them and they didn't play well
and they didn't try they were kind of a i don't know what they were doing out in about st louis but
it wasn't good anyway i think it's 95 points 95 points will get you in uh anything above that is
gravy okay so 95 has nine games left so 18 they need 12 like well i don't
Six wins out of nine.
Does that make sense?
Flames need to go eight and four.
Okay.
That gets them to 95?
Not easy.
Is there a place where you could get to 95, but you still miss?
You're saying it's a race to get there.
I think if someone gets to 95, they're good?
Good.
I do.
Yeah.
The chat GPT says 93.
Have you, have you used AIed this?
Well, you can, no, I actually have.
haven't that's great that's weird it's odd that you haven't look it of all the things now people are
also going to say yeah but look at st louis's look at their schedule it they have a nicer
schedule because they have how many games left nine nine all right oh i hit too man whoops
now it's very small but you can see there a couple games left they've got see this
Predators, they've, they've feasted on the predators.
Feasted on the Preds.
This is their schedule.
Yeah, so they got Nashville and Colorado.
Colorado is the thing about, sorry for interrupting you again, I've done a lot today.
When you've been on a hot streak and you lose, you lose two.
Once the shoe falls off, the other one's coming too.
So they're going to have a back-to-back loss in there somewhere.
Okay.
Fred's wings, penguins win, win, win.
Crack and win, Utah win, because they'll pack it in,
although they'll be playing loose in Utah by then.
There'll be no stress.
One, two, three, four, five.
That doesn't, we've got to find points somewhere else against these top teams.
Yeah, so for the Blues, they've got Nashville.
for the third time in six games.
It feels like there's conspiracy against the flames.
Kind of feels like it.
To your point, though,
if you went to the game last night
and you spent your dollars and you sat down,
you were cheering for the flames,
and you had a hell of a night.
You spilled popcorn.
You're talking about it today.
I would think even if you were a little skeptical,
you may be thinking it a little different.
Well, Wolf's pretty good.
Yeah.
The math.
If chat GPT's right, 93, we can get to 93.
Come on.
But how many others can get to 93?
Because the blues will probably get there too then.
I don't know how the tiebreaker works.
Yeah, I don't know how it works.
I don't know how it works.
I can't concern myself with that.
Next up, Dallas Stars.
Oh, baguati.
It's a baguati for sure.
Look, they gave the stars all they could
handle that last time.
It was going to be a
complete. We said
it after the game. You actually felt
bad for the team because they
worked their asses off and played so hard
in a, what do they call
them those games? Scheduled losses.
That's what they call them. That's what it was supposed
to be. It should have, if
if you, if you looked at the schedule
and how things were playing out, it should have been
a 5-1 Dallas Stars victory.
You know who wasn't saying it? The guys in that
dressing room.
Huska!
They weren't saying it.
It's this call guy on his stash.
He's...
Trent.
He's killing it.
I want to get him on the show.
Do you think Husk would be pissed off?
If we requested
Trent Collin, not him?
Hey, Husk.
How you doing today? Can we get your...
Yeah, you know, we've got the show
every day. Oh, okay.
Yeah, yeah. Any chance
you could talk to Trent for us?
What's that? Yeah, Trent call. Stash.
It looks great.
We're captivated by that mustache.
He's got to throw a hat on behind a bench.
You know what?
You have to start subtle,
maybe like a toothpick one game.
Yeah.
It's like,
is he got a toothpick on in there?
What?
Then maybe a dip.
And then you work in a hat.
Can you go straight to the,
to like the cowboy?
Or do you have to kind of go with a like an old,
I think you've got to go cowboy,
but maybe you could pull it off if the flames get the team to kind of,
remember the old Western.
Western night?
The galutes.
Yeah, that's right.
More galutes.
The galutes.
Call could be a galute and a hat and then just keep it.
Trent or, uh,
maybe he hates cowboy.
Are you wearing cowboy boots with your suit tonight?
Uh, yeah.
Sure.
I'm there, Dean.
Yeah.
Have you done that before?
Oh, sure.
Yeah, yeah.
You guys just haven't been paying attention.
All right.
It's Dallas is in town.
Are those spurs?
What's Dallas?
I'm just kind of going with it.
Oh, all right.
Next game outbacks.
The fellas in the room,
I'll tell you right.
The horse.
Right now,
the fellows in the room would love it.
If he strode into the dome on his horse.
Oh,
yeah.
Saddle.
What's up with coach?
It's a big game.
Bogotty.
It's a baguati, boys.
But yeah,
so that's the next one Thursday.
That's tomorrow.
Biggest game of the year.
No question about it.
And if St. Louis just,
wants to take a, like, or Minnesota.
We're not picky.
Yeah, that's true.
We're not picky.
Midwestern American team could pound sand.
We'll look at the Pinder report a little bit later on.
Other games in the NHL last night.
Playoff implications.
Somebody did something.
Yeah, somebody did do something.
You're right about that.
I want to tell you about Viena Nova.
Our buddy, Justin, over at Vena Nova, over at the market mall.
Whether you're on horseback or you're driving a SUV,
you're going to find all kinds of park in a market mall.
I'm not sure if that's the only reason they moved
because they were in the,
they were downtown, they're in the whatever there,
Stephen Avenue Place.
And then went to Market Mall.
And one of the first things is like the parking.
The parking is terrific.
And it is.
Well, I had to go downtown.
The parking's not great downtown.
Yeah, it's not great.
It's not great.
Vinova, Calgary's only jewelry
store that is devoted only to lab-grown diamonds. They're exclusively specializing in them,
in fact. And with lab-grown savings up to 80% off, and they have the same chemical composition
and crystal structure as an earth-mine diamond. In fact, some of the earth-mine diamonds have
imperfections in them. These, in many cases, are of better quality and come with that
incredible saving. It just seems to make perfect sense. You know, a guy like noodles, he's
sharp, right?
This would be, mind you, he's probably been in on lab grown diamonds for eight, 10 years.
He's dialed in.
He's so dialed in.
Might have created them.

Shoveler loves rolling into Viena Nova.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That was a Christmas gift again this year.
It's going to have,
we're going to have to do a Vena Nova trip here soon
now that I think about it.

Let's go to the Insider Hotline.
Our man, he's all over the place.
He is, I love, because you have to kind of,
okay, so where was noodles?
It's like the Waldo thing.
I was, Buffalo, all right,
or Detroit, where the hell was, where was noodles?
On our Insider Hotline, it's presentation of Crystal Waters,
plumbing and heating great buddies.
They, again, if you are a watcher or a fan of the show,

They are your crystal clear choice for home comfort.
Crystal Clear Calgary.com as we go to the insider hotline and say,
hello to our buddy, Jamie McClennon.
Hi, guys. What's going on?
Not much, buddy. What's happening?
Not much.
Just working on my lab grown dining.
I knew it. I knew it.
You're always up to something.
That's the best.
I've got to get in on this.
This is unbelievable.
I mean, do you remember,
where's the movie Grumpy Old Men
with Walter Mathau?
Remember he goes to
Sophia, whatever her name is?
He's like, that's...
And Margaret.
And Margaret. This is the finest
cubic circonia you could
find it. And to me,
that's where that's where we got to head down that road.
So I remember he was also handing out staplers and boxes of soap for Halloween,
if I recall,
directly.
So were you at the,
the Big Sabres victory last night?
I was.
I mean,
you know,
it's,
they didn't do anything to win the game,
but they won.
That's the weirdest part is they,
the shot attempts were 80 to 28,
I believe.
It was James Ron.
that at one point was doing the breaststroke, making a right pad save on Zetterlin and tight.
I mean, Ottawa had some really good chances early on and couldn't kind of put the nail in the coffin.
And then Buffalo hung around, hung around.
Jacob Bernard Docker made it 2-2 on a, I didn't love the goal.
It was a good shot by him, but I think it was a stoppable puck.
And then, you know, you could just see, you know, as the game went on,
Buffalo's like, the hell with it.
We're going to play hockey.
And they've got some good players.
Like this is the one thing that frustrates me about the Buffalo Sabres and people.
They've got some really good players.
They just, I don't know what's gone wrong there, if it's the secret sauce or whatever.
But this, the Tage Thompson's a player, tucks a player.
You know, they've got some young guys that are coming.
Bowen Byron is a really, you know, mobile defenseman.
Dahlene, I think, is a star.
It's just, he flies under the radar and he's got a little chip to him.
But they've got a pretty good team.
They just don't play as a team very well.
And they score early in the third.
And then Ottawa tried to, you know, dig back into the game.
And, you know, you could see them squeeze their sticks a little bit more because they need the points.
And Buffalo said, not going to happen.
So they get a big three to win.
And, you know, Buffalo's on a heater right now.
Went and beat West, or Winnipeg, was it?
And then now it's the Ottawa senators.
And they continue to roll.
But it was not that exciting of a game, I'll be honest.
Are you worried about the Sends?
Because that's what, three of four that they've lost now after the six of seven.
They're four up on Montreal.
It still feels like they're good.
But this is their first time through, right?
As we talk about for teams like Washington or whatever,
this is your first time through for the Sends.
None of these guys have really done the playoff thing before.
It could be some nerves potentially.
Well, I think there's nerves.
I think there is playing meaningful games this late into March.
but, you know, it's, as I've seen in the west, it's like the east, everyone, there's a jockeying,
and it's like, I don't want it, you take it, you take it type of thing.
And what Ottawa could have done last night was created that separator.
What they did is they suck back down to, like the group down here is now sucking them back down.
I still think they're a playoff team, but, you know, I fly, you mentioned,
Detroit. I fly to Detroit tomorrow. That's Ottawa, Detroit, head to head. They play in Columbus
on Saturday. They play Columbus or they played Pittsburgh on Sunday. We looked at their schedule.
Okay. From a strength of schedule, they've got a pretty good schedule because the teams that
they're battling against, they're playing. They've got Columbus. They haven't played Columbus yet
this year. They play them three times here in the next 11 games. So, you know, they control their own
destiny. I thought they pissed away at least a point last night. And, you know,
NHL teams are allowed to win games and good on Buffalo for playing spoiler. But I even said on
our broadcast, that's got to be a game they have. Like, it's a must win because you just
pointed out, Boomer. The separator is now they're five points ahead. And it's like,
okay, that's a tall hill to climb if you're Montreal or whoever else, the islanders
trying to de grease their way in there. So to me, it was a missed operation.
It makes tomorrow's game even more important.
And then heading into, like they are going to play 11, 12, 11, I think it is,
playoff games heading into the playoffs here.
And they've got to have that urgency.
Last night, I thought that they were the better team throughout the full 60 minutes.
If you look at the metrics and the possession and chances and all that,
but they lost the game.
So that's really, you know, that's what matters is two points.
And, you know, that's, there's got to be some.
urgency to their game.
And the Sabers.
We don't.
Do we need to discuss the Sabers?
Just quickly, are they
downtrodden?
Are they just like,
they do have talent?
It shouldn't be what it is.
That Norris,
is he hurt?
He's hurt.
He's missed next games.
And to me,
I think what they need to do
with Josh Norris is get him
to the end of the season.
Let him have a good summer.
Let him understand that he's not
in Ottawa anymore.
Let him embrace the city of Buffalo
and be a hell of a player.
because he's a really good player and that organization needs him if they're going to try and turn the corner.
Jack Quinn's a good young player that's still learning.
And Lindy's old school and he sat him out and he's doing, like they've got some players there.
And I think that Zach Benson is nice.
I think they've got some guys that are decent players.
I like their D.
What about power?
Like you need more from them, don't you?
You do.
But like keep in mind, Rhett, and this is a Randy Carlisle, having living in Toronto.
I'll never forget what he said, and I agree with him.
He said, you judge a defenseman because their development is a little bit slower than a forward,
and they're a little faster than a goaltender.
But he said, a defenseman, you can tell what they are after 300 games in the league.
So that's, you know, three full seasons, maybe into their fourth season.
I look at this power.
He's, what, six, five.
He looks like he's 163 pounds, like he's very light.
but I think he's going to be a player.
But it might be,
it might be when he's 23, 24,
that he grows into his body.
Edmund's like that.
What's that?
Headman was like that.
Yes.
So you've got to, like,
I think the play,
I mean,
Dahlina took him a while to settle in the league,
and I think he's a hell of a defenseman.
And I think he's a bit of a,
like a dirty bastard too.
Oh, yeah.
I'd say that respectfully.
I love it.
because he's always, it's punching the face,
cross-checking the ribs and that.
He's not a fighter.
Like he knows when to do that
when there's numbers in front of them and stuff.
I actually respect it a lot.
You want him on your team, right?
But they're D that Samuelson,
they signed to a long-term deal.
I think he's a stay-at-home guy
who's a stabilizer to Dahlene.
I think power, you know, you look at it.
I, you know, Bowen Byram is a, is a guy who I think has more upside.
He's a good skater.
He can handle the puck, but he's had concussion issues.
So they do have some pieces there.
But it's the same.
It's almost like rinse and repeat.
They've got to have, next year they've got to have a stretch where they're not
eight points out of the playoffs by November, you know,
December type of thing where you're talking about learning lessons again.
They've got to have a good odd season.
move the franchise if they got to give the we're learning still
speech because
well Jerry Bragula was on the road trip trip with them the other day
and like I don't know what an owner traveling what the team is going to see
then just maybe witnessing it firsthand what the hell's going on here
but I know his name's Terry I call him Jerry but anyways Terry Bacula
you know he's on the trip so maybe Kevin Adams is on
thin ice. I don't know.
He's got to be.
And I feel so.
You can only have so many years
where
I always say
the Sabres organization
went all in on McDavid
and didn't get him.
And then they turned Eichl
into tuck.
Yeah.
That's not a good.
But it's too long
to be shitty.
You've had like,
there's no excuses.
They look around the league.
There's teams that have
retooling.
on the fly that are ahead of them.
And you're saying, okay, why, why couldn't that be us?
Why are we not?
So something has to turn.
They do have to hit on some of their players.
And the Peraturka is a nice player.
Like, they got some guys that are decent players.
It's just they got it all put together.
And I don't know.
Lindy Ruff, the coach there,
I love Lindy.
He's a legacy guy.
He got a 600th win last night.
But, you know, do they need maybe a younger progressive, hard ass?
I don't know.
like I don't know what it is because I'm not behind the scenes now they were missing i think three
players last night they still found a way to win it's it's it's it's not about one game or even one season
for the sabres right now it's it's it's 14 years of misery and my conspiracy is that lindy's
going to be the next gm and they'll bring in a different coach and he was just brought in because
bagu'll likes him fair enough but i mean at some point you do need to turn the corner because
everybody else in the Atlantic has taken that next step.
But here's the cat, and you said it, and I don't, stupid sabers, I don't want to talk about it,
but they're more talented than you would ever, like if you actually look at their lineup,
but the kids that they have, they should not be where they are.
No, but that's the thing.
It's lack of achievement in playing to your potential that is the problem.
It's not, Dylan Cousins shouldn't have to been traded because they should be in a spot
to fight for a playoff.
the talent level isn't the issue it's it's something else yeah something's weird there and the other thing too is now we'll deal we ran a board last night of people that have left buffalo and had success oh it was all marked with the venezna it was ikel with the stanley cop it's sam reinhart with the stanley cop it's brandon montour with it and then and then we had a little you know villain cousins is is he going to go and have success in ottawa and find that that's the
thing is it's it's you know, Ryan O'Reilly didn't care for what was going on there.
And then he goes and finds joy in hockey again.
Like to me, there's something there.
But I do like the city.
I do like, I think there's so many good things there.
I just don't know what it is.
I'm not interior.
So I can't put my finger on it.
It's not the city.
Anyway.
Yeah.
Calgary Flames.
Well, I was going to say, you want to be playing, you know, play your best hockey.
at the right time of year and peak at the right time and all that and the flames are it feels like
they're kind of doing that it's they've won four in a row it's all been in kind of come from behind fashion
last night they're down two to one they tie it and give up or they go ahead and they give up a tie and goal
but they get it done but cadries is where he's at playing his best that we think we've seen him
in calgary or at least is matching that hubertoe is at his best mackenzie weger's been great i think rasmus
Sanderson's had a little bit of a resurgence here after a bit of a dip in play.
Wolf has been outstanding.
The St. Louis Blues are saying, you know, we can do that too.
It's going to be a dog fight.
But we talked about it.
Last thing, if you were at the game, I'm suggesting that you had a hell of a good time if you were cheering for the flames.
The right team won and you weren't sure if they were going to win.
This is what the playoff push is like.
and it feels like it's been a long time since Flames fans have been able to
to kind of get into it.
The wolf factor, I think, makes things a little bit different.
Not to say, we didn't think Jacob Markstrom was a good goalie, but it just feels a little bit
different.
But man, they still need some help here, it feels like, even though with games in hand
that they kind of have the driver's season.
They control their own destiny, but it's not a lot of all.
And if you look at it, guys, the, there's that website strength of schedule.
And I think Calgary is like 18th.
So meaning they've got some favorable matchups.
They control their own destiny with games in hand.
And I mean, this St. Louis team won't go away.
Like I think they're like 14, 2 and 1 in their last, you know, 17, something ridiculous like that.
14 and 2, yeah.
Yeah, sorry, 142 and 2.
So, you know, yes, they're on a nice role.
At some point, will they hit the ditch?
But, you know, what you need to do if you're the Calgary Flames is control your own destiny.
And what I like about it,
And now you're playing with fire and you're dinking around getting behind in games and then having to storm back and have this, you know, I'm watching that New Jersey game.
I'm like, oh, they're dead in the waters three one off day, you know, whatever it is.
And all of a sudden it's five three.
You're like, holy smokes.
How did this happen?
You know, for me, they're finding ways to win different ways.
And it's different heroes every night.
It's not just, hey, it's Dustin Wolf or, hey, it's this player.
you're seeing like as you mentioned resurgence nasm cadre looks that's the best i've seen him play in a long
time there was a and i would only say this respectfully but there was a time where i was watching him
this year and i'm like i don't know if the legs have fallen off he didn't look like he had jump
the game and you know and everybody was out to lunch but the game in Toronto he looked awful
he looked like father time had caught him and of course they they win the next night but i just
Nazim Kadri looks like he's got some zip to his game.
And that's what he needs some snarl.
He needs some bite.
He needs some speed.
He needs to use his hands.
Like that's what makes him a unique player.
A unique player is somebody who can bring something different to the table in what is
ever needed within that game.
Nazim Kadri can do that because he can fight.
He can hit.
He can score.
He can be an emotional leader.
And you're seeing that.
Like last night was a prime example of him.
you know, taking the ball and running with it.
And, you know, I'm not behind the scenes.
You guys are closer to it,
but it seems like that team is having fun.
It seems like they've got some chemistry within the room.
It seems like they've got something special there.
You know, I'm not going to say it was 04, you know,
because they don't have Iggy, they don't have Kipper,
but they have a young Kipper technically, right?
And, you know, it is, but it is,
there is a formula there that they're getting it,
down and they're playing for each other and that's what's impressive for me why they're not telling you
how much they like each other they're going out and playing and showing you they don't have to say oh no we like
each other we're really tight group it's like you mean not like that not like zedoroff
yeah we talked about that earlier at brought it up that the value that there has to be for the young
guys to be part of games that matter here to see the veterans in the room not i don't give a like
Exedorov a year ago where they don't care and all they want is where am I signing next summer
and all this sort of thing to see Codry, right, a veteran, one of the leaders of your team,
how much it matters to him.
That can't help but rub off on even guys like Frost who's 25, but they, not a lot of
experience there in the playoffs for these guys either, but the young guys are really feeding off
of this, I would think.
I think so, but you look at a guy like Frost.
I think Frost gets it.
His dad grew up around, you know, around the Maple Leafs.
He's a Toronto area kid.
He's Canadian.
Understands Canadian market.
Understands he's coming from a scenario where, you know, Philly, I mean, they gave up a touchdown again last night.
Like, they're, you know, they're in one and they're obviously in a rebuild.
He, Morgan Frost understands what's in front of him.
Like, I've got a real opportunity here to grow my game, you know, Canada, Calgary.
Great organization.
The organization is amazing first class.
You know, these subtle stories that we forget, you know,
that Connie and Peter Hanlon fly to pick them up in the private.
Like, not every team does that.
You know, Toronto Maple Leafs have nothing but money,
but it sounds like, you know,
Brandon Carlo flew from Tampa, you know, first class or whatever.
But it wasn't PJ.
I don't think it was.
Like, to me, there's small things that the details that the organization's doing.
And Connie deserves a lot of credit here too
Because he could have easily said Rasmus Anderson
And I know Pinder probably was like Salamo, you know,
I don't know where he was at with his mindset.
But, you know, Connie saw something there and gave the guys the opportunity.
It's not like in the offseason,
he's not going to continue to tinker to make this team better.
But he said, you know what?
For what we have right now, we're sticking with it.
And let's see what the guys can do.
He's given them the confidence.
They're paying him back by playing that way.
Well,
and you would have never guessed that St. Louis would be that good,
where that's the team you're trying to catch, right?
Like, anyway, that's, it is what it is.
But for a long time,
it just felt like someone was going to make the playoffs here in the West,
and I'm sure maybe to the same extent,
but it's because Vancouver wasn't very good and the flames weren't good.
Somebody was going to get in.
It was just going to be the best of a group of men.
But now the flames of him,
they've up their game,
and obviously St. Louis,
Are the wild capable of falling out?
Like they're only two up on St. Louis, game in hand.
I mean, the wild is kind of in one because, you know, they've certainly fallen off.
Now, didn't they get dummied last night?
Wasn't it 5-1?
I think it was to Vegas, I believe it was.
I put a clinic on.
But, yeah, like, Minnesota isn't, you know, 100% solidified.
You know, two can make that spot.
I mean, is it conceivable all of a sudden it's Vancouver and Calgary?
I don't think 78 to 85.
I mean, what do you make the magic number is low 90s, 90-ish?
Chat GPT says 93.
I said 95.
I said if you get 95 you're in for sure.
The AI's on you, 93.
I think chat GPT is correct.
I do believe it's like low 90s.
That'll make it.
because again, these guys are playing each other.
There's three-point games.
There's playing each other, all of that.
I mean, Calgary, you're dealing from a position of strength
if you take those games in hand and you turn them into points.
It's just harder, right?
Because the schedule, you've got three more games to play in this kind of same amount of time, right?
Like, I don't give a shit what you say.
It's going to pile up on you.
Every other day for the next month is a lot of hockey.
Well, and if you're predicting it,
you go on their winning percentage.
You've got 12 games left.
They're winning percentage.
You can't just trudge along your winning percentages.
What is it, 563 or whatever it is?
If you're going to do that, you're probably not going to make the playoffs.
You might need a 680 or 700.
You might have to win seven or eight out of the last 12 that you are,
and that puts you in the playoffs.
But it is, it's going to be an uphill battle,
but it's worth it right now.
this is meaningful hockey.
I don't know if the market's excited.
I do have a trip to Calgary plan soon, so I want to feel it.
But I think they're in great.
I think there is going to be some form of a market correction for St. Louis.
I just don't think they run the table the rest of the season.
So you circle that.
You're right.
Minnesota is not dead in the water, but they're certainly leaking oil.
So, you know, there is a scenario where maybe St. Louis climbs over Minnesota and minis the team,
but I would still think there is, St. Louis is going to hit the ditch at some point and maybe, you know, lose three or four type of thing.
Calgary, you've got to find a way to get points every night and even against formidable opponents.
That's really the key.
Yeah, we got Dallas tomorrow.
Well, you've got to hope that, you know, Dallas.
either has a hard fought battle against
Edmonton tonight and
they don't have much on a back to back.
Really. That's what you're hoping.
You hope that Dallas doesn't have an
off night and Evanton
lays the beats to them and then
they're pissed off coming into Calgary.
You want them to have a victory up north
and then play the backup. We want him
fat and happy. That's what you want. Fat and
happy. Hey, we just, we beat a team
that knocked us out of the playoffs.
And hey, we're going down to Calgary. Yeah, they're battling
but, you know, we'll play our backup, we'll do this and that, we'll still make it through.
You've got to find a way if you're Calgary to go, we're going to expose a team that played the night before.
And you can hope that maybe the Oilers take it to the ground and have a physical battle with them
and that they wake up going, I don't know if I want to do this again the next night.
We talked about it with Dreg's last week, I guess it was, just the offer sheets and do we see more of them,
just because of how well it's gone for St. Louis.
Again, last night, St. Louis wins, 6-1.
Broberg, a goal and three helpers,
Dylan Holloway, a goal and an assist.
The blues are, truly, they're not doing what they're doing
without those two guys.
And Edmonton misses both of them,
and the blues are loving life with both of them.
Maybe you don't get two guys from one team,
but I do wonder if there's more of a focus to try and get guys this way,
because we talk about the flames.
You talk about the retool on the fly.
That's a way to approach it.
Well, I've always been of the believer, and I don't want to take credit, but my boss told me the other day, he goes, you called the hallway.
So I called the offer sheet on the hallway.
I didn't call it on Broberg, but I did call it on Holloway because I liked what I saw in the kid.
And I thought to myself, I think he can be a top six.
And I don't know if he was going to squeak in there in Edmonton as quickly.
You climbed the ladder, right?
with what the depth that they had at that time.
But I believe in the CBA as a tool.
And there's always been the old boys unwritten law and all of this.
I still maintain if Ken Holland was still the manager,
that offer sheet doesn't happen because he not only just the respect that he has
his relationship with Doug Armstrong,
but I believe he would have gotten the contracts done.
I don't know if there was a disconnect.
I don't know if there was arrogance from the Oilers organization.
I don't know if they're worried about getting dry-sadled on and said,
we'll deal with these guys.
Keep in mind, these players have to sign the offer sheet.
So they see, you know, their agent or somebody has said,
the opportunity for you is not going to be there in the next year or two.
You might want to move on because it takes balls to sign an offer sheet
because it's saying, like, I want to leave your organization.
or you're not valuing me with a contract offer the way I want to.
So to me, I think it was a brilliant move by Doug Armstrong.
I think it was a miss by the Oilers because they had to replace those players,
either internally or trade for them.
But it happens.
You have to adjust.
And St. Louis is better for it.
And I do think that there will be offer sheets this summer if teams aren't careful with
some of their players.
Can we keep you for one more?
Yeah, absolutely.
This one, I'm confused by it.
I don't understand how a city like Chicago isn't a place where guys want to play.
I don't understand what the organization is doing to piss people off.
I don't know what the organization is doing with a guy like Badaar,
there's no support there.
It looks, I'll say it, piss poor.
Yep.
And why and how and what in the F is going on in one of the most storied franchise in the NHL?
Okay, so elephant in the room, the Kyle Beach thing, you know, let's be honest.
Like that, that's a smell that the organization has to wear.
And it's going to wear for a long time.
And, you know, the way that they do business has changed.
And, you know, good for them.
We hope that it's shined a light on a lot of things.
That being said, you're right.
That organization is storied.
There's, there's history there.
It's an amazing city.
It's an original six.
And, okay, fine.
I understand you bought him out to get the golden goose.
You bought him out.
But surround him with NHL players to help him grow.
For year one, I didn't think they did that.
I think year two, they tried.
And, you know, it's Bertuzi and guys like that.
They go and get left-handed shot played in Toronto and Vancouver,
which is name.
Skate a million, million dollar wheels, 10-send hands.
What's his name?
I don't know.
Russian.
I could see his face.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
So anyways, it'll come with it.
It'll come.
But they go and get some players this year.
It hasn't worked out still.
This summer, I do believe, is the most critical.
Not only for Connor Bardard, but for the Chicago Blackhawks.
Because I look at San Jose, and I think San Jose is ahead of Chicago.
Oh, for sure.
And not just like by a player here or there.
Like they are, I think San Jose is going to be a really good team, 18 to 24 months from now.
Casabrini have grown.
They're a franchise.
Yes, I agree with you.
But they went and got the Goldie Asker off.
Ask her.
They're trying.
Like they're trying to go, okay, we got a young core and we're going to build around it.
But I think Chicago needs to sign and go big game hunting in the offseason and go.
We're going to get a number one winger to play with Badaard.
Or Baderd, you are a winger.
We're going to get a number one sentiment to play with you.
Is Knight a guy that can fill the, do the job in that?
Okay.
So from a talent standpoint, yes.
Now, it's well documented.
He was in the program.
I do believe I'm not sure what it was.
I think it was for personal time.
So in the end, you know, that's something that has to,
will probably always around him.
but if he can get through that and manage that,
then I think Knight has the ability to be a one
and be a very good goaltender.
So I think they're trying,
but you can't just try on one or whatever.
Like I'm saying you've got to go big game hunting in the offseason
and go, we're going to spend $12 million on an $8 or $9 million player,
but we need to surround Bardard with legit players that are like him,
better than him to make him better because
I look at Celebrini and Bedard
I think Celebrini's ahead of him right now
and Bedard's got a year head start on
and Celebrity's a more
complete player the way he battles for pucks
and yeah and you don't have they're going to be compared all the time
because they go back to back first overalls
and maybe that's even maybe it's not
it is what it is and that's all fine
and good is there
any and you
I've not heard
I'm not saying there is
Is there any fault to be found in Connor?
Baderd.
Do you know what I mean?
Like, I'm of the opinion that the organization has done a terrible job for the last however long.
But my concern with Baderd would be, and because I got kids in sports now and you see all that goes on,
this is a kid notorious coming up, ultra-focused, ultra-committed, ultra-alture, ultra-hockey, hockey, hockey.
is there a possibility
it's too much
and there's a burnout factor
because he does not look like a kid
playing in the NHL
No, I think there's a possibility
for a lot of different factors
and I'll give me an example of one
is Bedard
I think he's a winger
I don't think he's a centerman
I don't think he's a fast enough skater
I don't think he's strong enough
you know you look at number one
centerman through the league
and you put him up against it
like they, you know, Barkoff, Matthews, you, I go, like, these guys are big and can move and they'll,
you know, they'll lean on it, dry sidle, like guys, they lean on you physically.
So there's no shame in that.
If he goes, if he ends up over as a winger, they got to get somebody that can pass him the puck
because he is still a player for me that can score from distance.
I do believe he's got a great shot.
So you've got to find somebody that can get him.
the puck. Now, he, individually, you said, does he have to wear some of it? Yes, because he has
to have good off-season to continue to work to get faster, stronger. That all comes with, you know,
it's a term man-strength. You know, you got to get, just become stronger and have that old
man-strength type of thing. That's going to come. So Bidar can control. And the other thing is the
details of his game. He's not very good defensively. Learning to play away from the puck.
Brett, you just said it, and I think it's very interesting.
Every person I've talked to about Boudard,
he knows what to do with the puck when he has it.
If you look at possession numbers,
the best players in the game have it on their stick for about a minute,
minute and 10 per game, okay,
out of 18 to 22, 24 minutes a night, McDavid.
Like, so how are you going to get the puck back?
Where are you going to go when you don't have the puck?
Defense, like his game needs to be rounded out.
He's not very good away from the puck.
That he can control.
That's coaching.
That's understanding the cadence of the game and going,
okay, I'm going to fade away.
The puck's going to follow me because I'm going to go in an area where the puck's going to go.
Like that's understanding it.
So these are things that he can control,
but it comes back to he needs to play with better players
that are going to place him in situations.
Maybe you play with a good centerman that is good defensively
and not expose you as much.
That way if you're on the winger,
you know, you're on the way.
you just have to cover, you know, the least responsible position is the wing on the ice, right?
So I think there is things that the organization can help with him, but I also look at him,
and it's just a progression.
It's like get bigger, get stronger, get faster, and understand the game away from the puck.
Because the best players, to your point, Rhett, growing up, they always had the puck.
So they've never really had to learn away from the puck because it was always get that guy the puck
because he's going to do the damage.
So everybody always deferred to them.
In the NHL, everyone's a good player.
So they're going to pass it to his teammate,
pass it.
And now he's got to learn to play away for the puck.
And I don't think he's there yet.
And it just takes time.
It's an interesting shot across the bow, though, right?
And again, it's the Freedom Report that maybe we're not so gung-ho
to sign coming out of entry level.
We're maybe thinking that there could be other,
and he's of the caliber where you can,
you can say that kind of stuff.
If you want out of there, they'll get you out of there.
But yeah, it's because there was a stretch of time where Chicago was so bad.
You didn't even think of Chicago is anything great.
And then Kane and Taves and all that.
This is the greatest team.
I can't believe this team was ever bad.
The city was alive.
It was.
It's a great city.
And listen, you know, outside of politics and that, yes, there's a lot of grit there.
And, and, you know, the city has changed a little bit, all of that.
but it's still an amazing city.
The organization should be top-notch, original six,
and I think that's what they need to get back to from,
you know, the respectability factor.
It is a work in progress,
but you do have an amazing young player that you can build around.
They just got to build up.
You should get another one this spring.
Yes.
You can get another top-tier player this spring.
Maybe they get the Schaefer kid.
Maybe, you know, maybe they, you know, to me,
I think there's a lot of potential,
but you've got to start turning like,
hey, the future and all that.
Turn some of these draft picks
and some of the things that you have for currency
into live players to make your team better
to get to that next level
to help the development of your young players.
That's my concern.
They haven't done a good job of it,
but what, Dregor's,
and we'll let you go,
but Dregor was of the opinion
that guys don't want to go play there.
So even if the money, right,
and that's where I'm stunned by that.
And I'm saddened by that.
And that's a concern because they've got cap space to go spend money.
They got to go after it.
But I guess if a guy doesn't want to sign there, you can't make them.
That's why I said, and I kind of alluded to it at the starting,
it's like, you don't have to spend $11 million on an $8 million player.
Yeah.
Go, hey, you're going to come and earn some pain here, but, you know,
we're going to compensate you for that.
Like, this is not a small market.
This isn't a team that shouldn't be sexy.
but there is, as I mentioned before,
there's a stench around this organization
that unfortunately based on what's happened in the past
and they're still working through it and all of that.
But you've got an opportunity for change there.
And I think they're headed in the right direction,
but you need to continue to push it to that next level.
And Kyle Davidson or whoever, if he's not the guy,
they've got to find a guy that is going to get it to the next level.
I do believe that they have a plan in place.
It's just a little bit slower than you're looking at San Jose.
And I think San Jose is going to be really good.
And for me, they've surpassed them right now on paper as their projections.
Before we let you go, we ended last week's conversation with just your thoughts on the bracket.
It's the bracket that everybody is talking about.
Oh, yeah.
We moved on to the elite eight.
We'll show it to you here now.
You thought maybe we tried to sway the voters with the.
Yeah, the Twizzlers.
Yeah, maybe it worked.
No bottom seed.
advanced. All of the favorites have moved on to the elite eight.
It's the cola bottles versus nibs, fuzzy peaches taking on sour
soothesers. Come on fuzzy peaches. Gummy bears versus
sour patch kids and then an epic four or five Swedish berries versus skittles.
I'm curious your thoughts. Okay, so I'm a nib guy because I like Twizzlers,
so I was sad that they Twizzlers got thrown to the waistside. Although the cola
is pretty solid. What are those? The cola bottles?
bottles. Yeah, yeah.
They're a little bit, like, I think they're lazy.
I think I do believe the nibs are better.
Swedish berries is a very, very interesting one for me.
Because you're just, your pigeonholed into one flavor, right?
Where Skittles has many flavors.
Face the rainbow.
I'm a Skittles guy because I'm sad to admit this, but I use Skittles drink mix.
I don't know if you ever heard that, but I think of the guys that, right?
so I mix it in my water so it's right so but I think gummy bears is is that would be my one
because this anything sour I'm not a huge fan of and the fuzzy peaches to me like it's just a peach
like I I'm not a big peach guy I'm a peach guy if I had a pie I'd want a peach pie that's my pie
no I'm a pistachio guy see and I've got a pistachio very nice anything pistachio I'm with
the right thing. So I'm nibs, I'm Skittles, I'm Sour Soothes, and I'm gummy Bears.
If you're asking for me.
Okay, well, you know what? We showed you a little bit about Twizzlers last week.
This is a little in-depth, deep dive on Skittles here.
Okay.
Skittles, a fan favorite.
Somehow managing to be hard and sticky at the same time.
You'll enjoy these little fruity pellets, provided you've never eaten fruit of any kind for the sake of comparison.
But whatever.
Who likes fruit anyway? Stupid fruit. Who wants some sugar-coated rocks? Me, please. They'll stain your fingers. Stay in your mouth. If you spill them in your pockets, they'll stay in your pants. And God forbid, the bag tips over, they'll go spilling all over the goddamn place. In fact, I bet if you go and look under the seat of your car right now, you'll find one of these little bastards. And if you do, just go ahead and eat it. Not like suddenly now it's bad for you. Skittles, taste the rainbow.
It is one of those ones you don't really, just don't question what you're putting in your mouth.
Just enjoy it.
Enjoy it.
This is my, this is my kiddles.
I see that, yeah.
Gittal bag, the lime ones.
You just put them in a, you know.
So you get like a bottle of water, right?
A bottle of water.
There's upside down.
There is.
Lime one.
There's strawberry.
There's all sorts of different flavors.
They're very exciting here.
This is.
Do you have a favorite?
Well, I like the strawberry.
I also like the purple ones.
Whatever.
but this is called strawberry star star fruit that one strawberry star fruits very good so i can't wait to come
to your house and have some i know i have a drunk junk drawer over there literally the kids go to the junk drawer
it's terrible yeah you have a a drunk cupboard and a droid in there we got it got it all got it all you're a good
boy enjoy enjoy detroit i love detroit i was just thinking i was just there
There's a great spot.
Beautiful.
And they got an amazing rink, though.
I'll tell you,
they got an unreal.
That ring there was great.
A lot of chatter about the Flames rinked at the event on Monday night.
I'm excited to see it.
I'm excited to see it.
I'm fired up.
I might be an invited opening night.
Wouldn't that be cool?
It would be so good.
You'll be hosting.
Yep.
That would be fun.
Who else?
Hosting.
Yeah.
Thanks, James.
Talk soon, guys.
See it.

Yep.
Sound as I has.
Oh, if you're 100%.
Yeah.
Which organization you want to inherit?
San Jose all day.
Thank you.
That rhymes.
What do you say?
Hey.
I just may.
There's a few things we've got to get into here.
I want to tell you about service credit union
because that's still, it's a million dollars.
Still got your opportunity to win a million.
It's a million dollars and I'd feel bad if
if I only knew.
Big Share Contest full swing right now.
Contest ends April 30th,
2025. Okay, so what do we do? Just a month over. Just go to a service credit union branch and become a
member and then start saving a little bit of money. Just be smart with it. Every $500 saved gives you
five entries into the big share contest. All the rules can be found at service.ca slash win,
S-E-R-V-U-S. You see it there on your screen. And yeah, you can get into the RRSPs and TFSAs and all of that.
And that's going to get you bonus entries. And that's a great way to do it. But maybe you start
small. Just my paycheck, automatic deposit.
bonus entries.
April 30th,
2025,
skill test required for rules,
visit service.ca slash win.
Million dollars.
Million.
It's a lot of skittles.
It is.
You can buy a whole lot of sour soothers
with a million dollars.
I was not as good on my Safeway picks this week.
I felt really good about them.
Has a shoveler been keeping up with her?
She was stressed out last week,
so she missed last week.
week, but we'll get back at her this week.
I'll tell you, there's some, I'm going to say they were major upsets that ended up
costing me in the end. What are we talking about? It's the, uh, my NHL picks contest that is
on with Safeway, get the Safeway app. And I'm kind of hooked on this thing now.
Oh, why not? You go in on Thursday. It's every, it's tomorrow. It's a new game and it starts
goes Thursday to Wednesday. So chances are if you go in on Thursday, you get the full week of
NHL calendar games.
Find some locks in there.
You can go in Saturday, Sunday,
but then you're going to have fewer games to choose from.
It just feels like Thursday's the,
that's the getting.
That's when you want to get in there.
So then by today,
you kind of are able to look and see where you end up.
Well, I didn't do so.
I think it was four and one last week.
So you got cocky.
I don't know.
We can take a look at it.
Were you like walks where it was the right pick?
Yeah, it was the right pick.
So, I mean, it's kind of hard to see there.
But I had the Kings over the Blackhawks,
check. Tampa Bay to beat Utah. The Utah's beat the lightning. The Oilers did beat the
Cracken. The Jets lost to the Sabres. And then the Carolina Hurricanes lost to the Predators.
That also is not supposed to. And that was last night. Where's the, I have to even have,
how bad is it? How bad was it? Cains have lost two of three after winning eight in a row.
Rod. But I guess it's, you know, even geniuses like me can, uh,
can struggle at times.
If you think you know the game of hockey,
then you're going to love this one.
And you might get into it just like myself.
Bonus being,
there's a grand prize here that's pretty good.
Trip for four to a 2025 NHL season opener of your choice.
So the new slate of games opens up every Thursday,
which is tomorrow.
So get ready.
If you haven't already,
you download the Safeway app and you'll find it at the top.
Just predict the winners of five matchups.
Each correct pick gets you entry into the grand prize drop.
Plus, you can get scene points and bonus entries.
and grocery offers, I'm close to some real good scene points.
Yeah.
So get that app and get playing today for your chance to win.
You haven't got in.
Have you done this, Jack?
Yeah, Jack's so busy.
No, I haven't.
You probably don't even buy groceries, hey?
Like, what do you?
It's just every day you're just getting.
Yeah, someone drops my door.
It's not a way to live, Jack.
It's not how you do it.
Take care of yourself, Jack.
Get the app.
Get the app.
Get the plan.
Get the points.
Yeah. We know you're on your phone.
and you could win that trip for four.
Would you find three people to go with?
Yeah, I'm looking at two.
I don't know who the third would be.
Does he take that?
No.
I don't know who the other would be.
Right.
Got it.
Thank you, Safeway.
I guess I'll do the Pinder Report.
Yeah, you will, Dean.
You'll be excited to do it.
Yeah.
You love the Pinda Report,
especially when you're in control the Pender Report,
because sometimes I feel like you've got a bit of disdain.
Me?
Yeah.
No, I don't know.
it's tough um i don't know where you go for crocodile vids yeah you're in the wrong algorithm or people
jumping off buildings onto lamp posts always big yeah what else would also be
falling victim to some clearly i don't even mind the falling ones where people hurt themselves
because those are i i do get a good chuckle out of those but the the the successful i jumped
off a building and slid down a pole yeah my favorites are
still the ones where he will run the clip
and you sit there and kind of almost wait for the payoff
that never comes. And then it's why,
why did we run this? We had one yesterday.
I still think, yeah, I know. What was it yesterday?
What was the first one? I don't know
what it was, but it was like. Yeah.
It's weird.
Anyway, I can't remember.
It's going to be a disappointment because I don't have any
dumb stuff. Did you get any dumb stuff? No, we don't.
We can skip the dumb stuff. So it's just going to kind of be a sports
report. That's kind of boring in the end.
Weird.
It's the $1 million buying event at Village Honda
located in the Northwest Automol.
They want to buy your pre-owned vehicle.
We've been telling you this.
Now, have you thought about it?
Maybe I'm definitely not even really thinking about getting a different vehicle or whatever.
Maybe if the deal was right, and I don't have to, it's not a huge pain.
Well, it's easy and stress-free.
They do all the work, payment within 24 hours.
Then all of a sudden, maybe you're looking to upgrade your vehicle.
Get something newer, nicer, better.
Think about it.
VillageHonda.com.
Do I still press this thing?
Ryan Pinda.
Ryan Pindle.
All right.
So, yeah, the flames last night.
A bit of a thriller, if we don't say so ourselves.
Codry gets a comeback goal with 618 left,
gets a fighting major without dropping his gloves with Dunder 5 to go,
and was hot about it.
I think he was saying, how's that a fighting?
Hard to fight.
I didn't.
And he didn't really.
No.
And then would score the overtime winner.
Flames in come from behind fashion, once again.
For Caudry, back-to-back games where he scores the overtime winner.
We saw it earlier from Pike, all the damage that Codry's been doing.
Career goal 300, 28 on the season, I believe, I said.
For Dustin Wolf, 20.
Oh, you take a look at it.
Got a nice little graphic there.
You were saying you like the dark jerseys?
I love them.
Yeah.
So congrats to NAS.
300.
Playing his butt off.
300.
Playing hard.
Making a difference.
Have those stripes on the pants been there the whole year in these black jerseys?
I don't think.
Well, I don't know.
Because I know those were the ones that they, what do they call it, the pedestal jersey
when they came out with that one last year or two years ago.
I just noticed the stripes yesterday, but I was like, have they been on there before?
I don't know.
Maybe.
It doesn't matter.
I feel like you would be someone that should, being younger.
Yeah, you'd pay attention.
You'd be very much.
I'm not sure.
So anyway, Flames,
Four and a roll.
They've got Dallas coming in tomorrow.
Stars is mentioned by noodles there.
They play in Edmonton tonight.
So maybe you want to do a little pre-scout.
No?
If Huska needs me to come down and provide some,
if Trent's sick or something, yeah,
then I'll just.
I don't think Trent gets sick.
He just tells the sick.
He just, I'm not getting sick.
Let's get out here.
Yep.
Is that a Trent call?
kind of an homage are you trying to i could honestly say that trent call has had some serious
influence on what's happening on my fat chah my fat face yeah well i can't say as i blame you if
you did yeah are you no you're gonna reprimand me for it not at not at all get it all get on
board man yeah uh i feel like i would not look like trent call if i grew a mustache doesn't matter
it's your best attempt it's great
Uh, elsewhere.
Scoreboard watching.
Yes, the St.
Las blows.
Oh, it up.
St.
Louis.
They hung it on Montreal.
And the has been all cocky lately.
Yeah,
6-1.
Uh,
the Habs run a six-game point streak.
It ended.
With a thud.
Yeah.
Montembow five on 32.
Uh,
Rob Thomas and Philip Broberg,
each with a goal and three helpers,
Dylan Holloway goal and assist.
That has to sting.
I don't give a help.
No,
what any oilers fans or management think.
Those guys would be.
Yeah.
Soarly messed up north.
They are.
So yeah,
blues rolling 14,
2 and 2 in their last 18.
Bennington,
four wins in a row.
He's been very good since the Four Nations.
It's as though he got kind of a boost.
A boost there.
Meanwhile,
Lane Hudson,
the young defenseman for Montreal.
So not a great.
night. Scooter. But they did score one goal. He assisted on it. And there you see it. Most single season
assists by a rook on the blue line. He's up to 49 helpers. And then there's some pretty good names there.
Mine is Stefan Pearson, perhaps. But Gary Souter, Chris Chelyos, Larry Murphy. Jack, research Stefan
person and see what the hell happened. Well, he was an islander, I believe. I know. Well, if you're an
Islander in the late 70s.
I wonder if maybe he was just part of those teams that
was just really effing good.
He didn't have to do it.
Maybe some second assists there.
Yeah.
Played with pot back.
Yeah.
But he was a rookie at the time.
Either way, that's pretty elite company.
What this guy is doing.
So anyway.
I'm just looking at the gears.
Like, you have to go back a ways.
91, 92.
Nick Liddstrom
You know what I mean?
Like those are early 80s
It's a crazy list to be part
Yeah
Right
Bork Leach Lidstrom
Murphy Chelyos
It's their Hall of Fame
This is Hall of Fame
Some of the best that I've ever done it
So it's
There he is
There's old stuff
86 points
Is that what it says there
Or year two
66 66
66
The eyes are a little bit
I love a career.
So, I mean, there's the, I mean, yeah,
it's good numbers, I suppose.
He's 70 now. Happy birthday, stuff.
Happy birthday. Good for you.
Sweet. Love them.
Yeah.
To Winnipeg.
Battle of the, what you, it was going to be a big battle last night.
Oh, huge battle.
Capitals, Lobber and Ockers.
Jets.
Jets could clinch a playoff, spot with a win.
Well, not yet.
I know Pinder loves his boards, but let's show us some video.
if we have it.
So it's a 2-1 lead for the Jets. E.T.E.
Late third, but there's this guy named Ovechkin.
Where's he from?
He's from Russia.
Oh, he's good.
And he was going to be heard from in the third period.
Van Reimsich is going to gamble now with Washington down by one in just over four minutes to go.
Morrissey retreats.
Van Reimsike is still up in the play, lost his hockey stick.
He's over.
Nice pass.
Ovechke.
Yes.
I'm telling you, for everybody that's bitching about him getting empty netters.
Is that empty net?
I like that the fans from Winnipeg were excited.
Like, it's late in the game and they give up a tying goal, but it's Ovi, and we're kind of okay with it.
Let's make some noise.
Beats Hella Buck, short side, hell of a shot.
And as you see there, goal 889 leaves him six shy of the race.
of the record.
And big
goal, as you saw there, late in the
third, they're going to
go to overtime. There's a guy
named Nikolai Eilers to
plays for the Jets. Nice little bounce pass
here. Watch the bounce pass.
You got to play pool, Dean. These kids don't play enough pool.
Take a look. Safety.
Yeah. So the nice
accepting the pass off the bounce
in stride,
zing,
roof on Logan Thompson.
Jets win it.
If we had a graphic, we'd know if they clinched or not.
I think they did.
They clinched.
Nice to.
Yep.
The white out is back in Winnipeg.
No surprise.
What did they won 20 in a row or whatever to start the season?
It's like, oh yeah, I hope they would clinch after that.
49, 19, and 4.
So there you go.
Montchapani got his 14th of the year for Washington.
So I'm pumped.
Way to go.
Other games on the scoreboard there from last night.
Ikel Hatrick.
You said Eichl was unbelievable.
Somehow it's,
he has been showing up.
I've been,
the games have been on.
He looks like he's on another level.
10 in his last four.
He's the first Vegas Golden Knight to hit the 90 point plateau,
I believe in franchise history is what they call it.
So this is,
I thought third period hat trick goal.
It's going to be an empty netter.
It's not.
there's Eichel at the kind of the middle of your screen along the board so he chips it by it gets
chipped by it's a two on one sing no big deal and and then Flurrie's pissed he just
about hits the refs mark so yeah Vegas they're cruising four in a row they host uh well yeah
the wild now we talked about that lead in the wild card shrunk little shrinkage there
they've got Washington on Thursday
do the wild
oh Stanley Cup
final three match
yeah we talked about it with noodles
the Sabres beat the Ottawa
senators Tage Thompson has
35 Dylan Cousins got an assist
eight points in nine games with
Ottawa and your buddy Lindy Ruff
600 wins behind the Buffalo bench
he's the second coach all time to hit that
number with a single team Al Arbor
with the islanders the others wow
good on you Lindy
the Leafs
hung it on the flyers.
Flyers have packed it in.
Well, yeah, it feels like it.
Nylander and DeVaris both with two goals to assist.
It's a 40 goal year again for Willie Nealander.
He's done at three straight years.
Leifes 1, 4 or 5.
They're not tied for tops in that division.
Flyers, hmm, 05 and 1 in their last 6.
And John Tortorella, his give a shit meter, I guess, is a little low.
It's my job to prepare this team in this type of situation.
Haven't done a good enough job past couple of games.
These last two games, are you sensing frustration setting in?
Maybe it's a cumulative effect from last week playing well and not getting results.
Well, when you're in this type of situation and you're losing all the time
and there's nothing at the end of the tunnel for you, there's certainly going to be some frustration.
But this falls on me.
I'm not really interested in learning how to coach this type.
in this type of season where we're at right now.
But I have to do a better job.
So this falls on me getting the team prepared to play the proper way until we get to the end.
Interesting.
I love his honesty.
It's honest.
And I was just going to say, we want guys to say stuff.
And then we do, we rip them.
He's just being honest.
He is being honest.
And he's taken the blame and he understands it.
And he shouldn't be coaching that team.
It's not the scenario where John Tortorella.
is going to succeed.
He's not a
rebuilder.
At least not a,
and that's not even a rebuild.
That's a sinking ship.
Like they haven't hit the point
where it's like,
okay,
we're bouncing back up ahead
and in the right direction.
And when he came in,
you looked at,
well,
they've got connect knee,
Frost,
Farabies,
heart in net.
I guess they were going to have
Cutter Goce at some point.
That didn't really pan up.
But a lot has changed since then.
And you wonder if this is,
it sounds like maybe he's ready to leave.
I'm sure he would be fine staying in Philadelphia and coaching that team if he felt like it was heading in the right direction.
It doesn't feel that great.
It doesn't.
Jack's Penguins took a big defeat last night, which is good news, Jack.
You're happy with that.
You don't want to win.
Very happy.
Kutrov, goal of two helpers.
Six one was the final for Tampa Bay.
Point night.
There it is. Coach, third straight year that he hits the century mark.
Tampa third in the Atlantic, two back of, so Toronto, Florida, and Tampa Bay,
top three teams in the Atlantic, separated by two points.
And Sidney Crosby, one point away from guaranteeing his 20th point per game season,
which would pass Wayne for the most in NHL history, which feels like doable.
It's a nice accomplishment, if you can get it.
20 seasons in the NHL.
miraculous crazy over a point per game it's not like i played five games and had six points that
one year no you're a stud good for you sid good for you said uh yeah as i mentioned the canes
cost me on my safe way uh colorado your love of rod is leading you astray i guess uh they'd want
eight in a row abbs 11 one one and one in their last 13 so that
All right.
Seems to be coming together then.
The Nate Dog, a 22 home ice game streak for points.
He's got, you can do the math on this.
15 goals and 24 assists.
No, I can't.
39 in 22.
That's a lot.
And Cale, all hail, Cale, our buddy, Cale McCar, come on home, come on home, Cale.
It's a lot of goals.
Got his 27th goal of the season last night.
Most single season goals by a defenseman since 1990.
I can't believe Kevin Hatcher had 30.
I know.
He's a big galute.
He was.
But Mike Green had that incredible stretch with the caps.
Burnsy.
Kio McCar.
Who was the other hatcher?
Darian.
Darian.
You guys left him laying in, in 2004, Detroit.
Yeah, he broke my ankle.
He was, wasn't he standing right in front kind of watching Cooge?
Let that one in.
Sorry, Daryan.
He left the league very quickly after all of that.
Once basically the CBA and everybody says,
We'd like it if you skate.
Could you skate a little bit?
No, can't.
I can swing a stick and I'm really big and strong,
but I don't like moving.
Well, all right.
So there you go.
Kale, pretty good.
On the other game, the last one on the evening,
the L.A. Kings, two up,
on Edmonton now for second in the Pacific.
They beat the Rangers 3 to 1.
Kings on home ice.
Are you ready for it?
Yeah.
26.
Yeah.
3 and 4.
Say that again?
26.
Uh-huh.
3.
That's the losses?
And four.
Yeah.
Or extra,
well,
not ties.
That's tidy.
Yeah.
So they might want home ice in the play.
They would love home ice.
And I throw that out only because as of right now,
if the thing that they would host Edmonton in round one,
and they're really good at home ice.
Better to be at home ice.
And for the Rangers
J.T. Miller, the only goal.
The fourth time in eight games, they've scored just one.
Oh, no.
Yeah.
What a game.
Yeah.
I think I saw Johnny Lazarus of Nation Network.
He said Rangers had done.
Way.
Yeah.
Just like that.
It was him or an Alberg.
I can't remember.
I kind of agree.
Lots going on.
Some football news.
I don't know how Jack feels about this.
Is this real?
Um, Russell Wilson has agreed to a one year deal with the New York Giants.
It's a one year deal worth 21 million, 10 and a half guaranteed.
They also signed James Winston to a two year deal last week.
They've got the third pick coming up in next month's draft.
We know what Wilson is.
He's 36.
He's been to the Pro Bowl.
He helped lead Pittsburgh to the playoffs last year, which didn't go well once they got there.
I told them.
Unless.
So Russ.
is going to cook in New York.
James is gone,
it leaves basically now.
Mason Rudolph,
who is signed.
Yep.
Aaron Rogers has visited the practice facility.
There is no deal yet,
or it just,
it seems,
hmm.
It seems splintered right now.
A lot of teams have gone
and addressed their quarterbacking situation.
And I guess if Mason Rudolph,
that I guess Pittsburgh has as well.
How good is the running game, Jack?
Oh, he lost Nogie.
He's gone.
He's gone. Yeah, he was a shit.
Yeah, he wasn't great.
Yeah, I think Rogers is just waiting for the perfect moment to announce it.
And what would that be?
I don't know.
Maybe McAfee Show or something.
I don't.
Do you think the Steelers want him?
Yes, 100%.
I think Tomlin wants him badly.
I think it's all Mike Tomlin.
Okay.
Is this a, and your thoughts on Tomlin?
I'm kind of getting sick of Tomlin.
Oh, no.
Every year it's the same.
We're just a mediocre team.
I don't like Rogers, Wilson, Rudolph's garbage.
That's not building.
Not building for anything.
But I don't think this isn't a great quarterback draft.
It's plugging holes.
Yeah, it's plugging holes.
It just disgusts to me in a way.
to think that a guy is going to get,
what's he asking for?
Like $30 million?
$30, $40, $25 million as,
I guess there's nothing better.
Yeah, there's nothing else.
In this last little throwaway part of your life,
we'll give you $15 guaranteed million,
whether you play or not.
Thanks.
We have no expectations,
but you're still the best of what might be available.
Yeah.
Stefan Diggs is going to New England
He was in Buffalo for what four years
Then went to Houston
Had an ACL injury in late October
First time since 2017
He didn't hit the 1,000 yard
player in Buffalo but pretty good player
With football when they start to fall apart
So yeah that's the other because getting older
Knee injury
New England says here's three years
69 million 26
guaranteed.
Woo!
That's pretty good.
You do it?
It's pretty good.
Then there's the way we've done it.
You know,
you kind of work.
Why don't they learn from us?
Yeah, work your whole life and
kind of get to the end of your career.
Starting to show some age.
Don't have your fastball anymore.
You're kind of like,
ah, maybe I'll try something here right at the end.
It's the opposite of lucrative.
What is that?
Is there a word for that?
where you're not cashing in
you're kind of not being enriched
yeah
well that's the Pinder report
yeah
it always kind of ends on a side
and it's that's I guess the
boomer thud there sorry everybody
Village Honda Northwest Automall
online at VillageHonda.com we are still
planning to be at VillageHonda very soon
there is a
they went and got that the big quilt
the big unveil silk sheet
They got it all dry cleaned.
It's ready to go.
We're just picking the date and you'll know.
And when you know, you'll know.
If I-Y-K-Y-K-Y-K.
That's how that goes.
Find around.
Oh.
Oh, no.
Well, it's just boomer.
It's called being washed up.
Feels that way.
Does it?
Sheesh.
This weekend,
Richmond's Pub.
It's going to be a big game, man.
Regardless of what happens,
boy,
I win against Dallas.
And I'll tell you what,
Richmond's,
they better nail down the,
the furniture,
because it's going to be a humdinger.
People are going to be wound up.
Do you think,
do you mean like an old Western fight?
Like Trent Cole walked in.
That's right.
He won't even be on the bench.
He'll be at Richmond's.
They'll put some swinging doors in.
Now, look,
here's what it is.
We are going to hang out.
Our buddy,
our buddies over at Richmond's.
They got things ready to roll for the B.O.A.
on Saturday, Calgary, Edmonton.
We will be there.
There will be food.
There will be drinks.
The game will be on.
They'll have the goalhorn ready.
If you've never been to Richmond's for a game,
you've got to try it out,
try it on for size.
And why not?
On Saturday,
3919, Richmond Road,
in the heart of Lamorgan.
It is presented by our great partners
at McLeod Law
and found,
mountain tire in support of one broken biker, which is a, that's kind of a charity and a cause that is near and dear to McLeod Law.
It could be a chance for you to enter to win something shiny.
You were saying you, you know.
Good stuff.
A beautiful bike.
I've seen them.
They're nice.
They are nice.
And it's a, it is a great cause.
And we think, you know, that's another one of those things that we've kind of connected with through McLeod
Law.
appreciate McLeodlaw for getting us,
uh,
booking us up there. And of course,
fountain tire.
There's one near one near you.
Like we told you, they started,
where was it in?
Winter tires done now.
It's the,
no,
not yet.
I probably would.
Just lazy.
What do you think,
Jack?
I would ask the tire experts and not,
time to go summer tires yet or is two?
I'm a,
I'm a all season tire guys.
So don't.
That's silly.
Yeah.
That makes sense.
Yeah.
I mean they work.
for now.
What happened to your car this year?
Yeah.
Yeah, that car was the sheds.
But it did.
Yeah.
During one of the snowfall.
Correct.
Yeah.
Slid and.
Yeah.
But it works.
Those were old.
Right.
Jack.
Brett.
Fountain.
Yes.
Clean it up.
Yeah.
Richmond's.
We'll see you there.
Eight o'clock start.
Pick me up?
Yeah, maybe.
Seems to be how that goes.
Seems to be how that goes.
Wings or pizza or both?
I have to do both.
I have to do both.
It might be really kind of,
because I'm just,
I'm hungry right now,
so it's today's Wednesday,
I'm already thinking about,
it might be a complete clinic.
Just,
just crush it.
Just wings.
Too many.
I'm going to pull up the menu.
How it works is I'll order
two, I'll get hot wings and then one of, two orders of wings.
And you'll get four wings in.
There'll be lots left, but you'll think, I need more.
That's how my brain works.
Yeah. It's, and then, well, you could eat what's left on your plate and then make a determination.
Or you could just order more right now after your fourth wing, which are delicious and I'm not sure.
Wow.
Do you know those, those lasagna trays?
Yeah, yeah.
to go in the tin, kind of the little square thing.
Yep.
Like that's for one, right?
No.
The thing about lasagna is it's very filling.
I ate the whole damn thing.
Did you?
Wow.
Shovel it came down and you like, you ate it all?
You ate it all?
There's the pizzas.
We've, again, there's something to crust.
You got to have the pizza.
And didn't we talk to, we talked to them about, don't they do something special about
the,
The dough?
Like there's the water filtration.
They're doing something because they recognize.
No, this is,
we're not just a,
we're not just a pub flinging out wheels.
This is,
it's good.
We'll do a deep dive.
At some point,
I want to try the shepherd's pie bites.
Yeah,
you do.
I'm a big dry ribs guy.
Ochoes are always good.
The buns.
Because you did,
there it is the stuffed glomorgan cheese buns.
Is that what you did?
Yes.
roast biff there was no issues with that crazy adam's saying here you need a a warner pie
do you think we can get you on the menu i saw rocky rocky belboa and there's some other
prestigious people i don't care if my name's i just want to eat it you just want to eat it um
so that's coming up on the weekend we'll do our bet 365 bets tonight bet bet bet bet bet bet bet bet bet bet bet bet bet bet
Bet 365, breaking news coming in for Bet365.
Every nail biting overtime win is a barn burner.
Every face off, hat trick, power play, shot on goal, penalty shot.
Every suspenseful minute in between is amazing.
Whatever the moment, it's never ordinary at Bet365.
Official partner of the NHL download the Bet365 app today and use the code Nation to get in on the game.
You must be 19 or older.
Please play responsibly.
Here's what we got.
It was a huge, huge slate last night.
There's four.
for you tonight.
Now, we know that the two big boys up in Edmonton
are not playing.
They did squeak out a win against the crack
in the other night.
I mean, so did the flames.
I do like the stars in any way, shape, or form
in this one tonight. If you want to go minus one and a half,
if you want to do money line,
however you want to do that deal.
The Blackhawks are a mess.
Yeah, they are.
We've talked about that.
Markstrom was mad.
Flames beat him.
Or did he smash a stick after that, too?
Was it another game?
It was a Vancouver?
He was the Vancouver.
Yeah, it was the Vancouver one.
And the Canucks are kind of funny.
It was it last week.
Bester scored with four seconds left to get them to overtime.
Then they did it again in that game.
They scored late.
What about the Islanders?
And what the hell are the Islanders doing?
They're hanging around.
They're digging in?
Yeah, they're hanging around.
That a dumpster fire.
I don't believe.
it. I don't buy it.
I might be inclined to go Canucks here.
One and a half?
Well,
I mean, it's the plus one and a half.
Maybe a little money line there in the Canucks.
Bruins have packed it in.
Boy, the Bruins are done.
Yeah.
The Bruins there.
Which is weird with, you know,
the guys that we talk about,
Zedorov and Lindholm,
the guys that couldn't wait to get out.
I wonder how they're feeling now.
Making money, but probably still a little
little poofy.
Not my fault.
Yeah. So there you go.
That's what's on the cooker tonight for Bet365.
And we've got super chats.
Yes, we do.
It's a little disappointed yesterday.
Like, where are you guys?
We're raising money here for the youth centers of Calgary.
Every dollar, every cent that comes in on our super chat,
we will send over to the youth centers of Calgary
and then show your comment on the show.
Let's go.
There's handsome Dan.
There he is.
Proud sponsor of the candy draft, the candy bracket.
and every Dustin Wolf win, he said,
I'm putting my money where my mouth is,
100 bucks,
thank you, handsome Dan, fellas,
the candy bracket has been so much fun.
You should do one every year,
but mix it up,
sandwiches, meat,
chocolates,
also get the insiders to make picks,
then revisit each week as to who's leading.
Those guys perk up big time when you bring it up.
Well,
when you're passionate about something, Dan,
that's true.
It shows it's true colors.
And make no mistake.
We're on it.
The,
we're kind of irying out,
kinks here with this one. We're kind of getting
into it, but already, it has
been a banger. People are,
there's, it's amazing, the amount of,
it's not so much excitement that their candy
has advanced, it's just the,
the vitriol that, how could wine
comes not be part of this?
That is some BS.
So thank you, handsome Dan, for the,
sponsorship, obviously, and
for your support of Dustin Wolf.
Wonderful, Wolf knows.
Every time he throws up a victory,
it's another $100 for the kids.
Maybe he needs to know if he doesn't.
It might be more motivated to play well.
Come on handling.
Let them know.
That's right.
Come on, Huska.
Let them in.
We know you watch.
Thank you, handsome dad.
Moving on.
Inside the Super chats.
Here's 20 for you.
That boy, Jeremy.
Hey, Jeremy.
Just a, hey, we appreciate that, Jeremy.
That's 20 bucks right there.
going to a good cause.
Great cause.
Great cause.
And I think he was in again.
Not to be outdone.
Can you guys do another four hour after burner?
I don't think it was four, was it?
The thing about doing it last night?
No, it was, let's see.
I did a long, I don't know.
It's a while back.
Yeah, I was on with Gould.
Yeah, I remember hearing about it.
And Jackie Boy, and we just kind of kept going.
But people kept throwing money down.
I'm like, well, if people are going to throw the money down.
for the kids, then we'll keep rolling.
3.31.
3.5.
The thing about it is, I feel bad for the other people involved because it's not just me sitting
there. Gould was on there.
And I mean, he was delirious.
He was like, he was right out of it.
And Jack is sitting there.
Like that's when you were eating vitamin C down.
I was not going to take the last time.
Like candy.
So that's the thing.
I feel, you know, I don't mind doing it as a.
I would just shut my camera off and walk away.
Yeah, you would.
I know that.
Do it for a bit of a hoot, you know.
Yeah.
But it also impacts other people's lives.
Although at that point,
and health and wellness.
You could probably just leave and I could turn off the stream at that point, right?
Yeah, probably.
You could do what?
I like hanging out.
Do you?
Yeah.
Well, tomorrow.
I'm working at tomorrow.
I'm not working.
Yeah, see, I can't do that with the Asman.
Yeah, that's going crazy.
Well, stay tuned, Jeremy.
E.O.A.A.A.A.
we'll let you know we'll let you know Jeremy again who wings pizza or swarmas
put them all into play yeah they're all they're all gonna go the the person I live with
actually brought it up the other day she's like it's tough because they bring in swarmer for lunch
sometimes well there's that swarma place right beside the I get so good but then I'm meeting I've
meetings.
I'm just so worried.
So it's like gum and mints and you're so worried about the breath.
I feel like that'd be one of those things if you just told them,
hey,
please come in.
I did have swarmer for lunch.
They'll understand.
Well,
it's delicious and you had to eat it.
I'm not going to say no to it.
If I do catch a waft of something,
I'll understand if you need that kind of preemptive info.
All the above, Jeremy.
Thanks, Jeremy.
So that was a 20, a 10 and a 10?
Is that 40 beans from Jeremy?
Same person.
Yeah.
Kids.
Big dough.
$1.99.
Flames heating up, and Raiders staff is cooking.
What is going on with the Raiders?
What did they do?
They brought him Pete Carroll to coach.
They signed Crosby.
Resigned him, right?
Yeah, and then they traded for Gino.
Gino Smith.
Smith, yeah.
Is that cooking?
Aside from that, what are they?
What else did they do?
Josh Jacobs left and had a big year.
you know what big dog we're going to take your word on yeah i'm going to trust in you right now big
dog but because you threw some emojis the fire at the end there and i think the raiders flag so
you would seem to be an authority on it i haven't done a whole lot of i've kind of not paid
that close attention why you're so dumb there's always so much uh bandwidth in this tub
you got to get that near a link yeah add to it have you watched uh
Severance?
No.
Just started it.
It's different.
See,
I'm almost done with TV shows.
Are you?
I want to be excited about TV shows,
but probably over the last two years,
I've not had any of them really blow my socks off.
Jack, have you watched Severance?
I've heard about it.
What's it about?
There's a lot of hype.
Were we talking about it here?
The other,
uh,
it's,
they'll put a chip in your head.
And when you go to work, you don't have any recollection of your outside life.
So you can stay focused.
It's only focused on that, on that.
And then when you're on the outside, you have no idea what you do for the eight hours during the day.
You could be a swashbuckling pirate.
It's just like drinking a bottle of whiskey.
Kind of.
But I'm only a couple episodes in, and I'm wondering if maybe there's some manipulation from these people that are putting the chip in your head.
if maybe they're making you do some
not so nice stuff
while you're at
I watched
Tulsa King.
Have you watched that one?
That's another Taylor Sheridan
Yellow Stoney type deal.
Sly Stallone.
It's okay.
Sly at this age.
He's a mobster,
as it turns out.
Now everyone says that the oil and gas
one, the land man is supposed to be good.
I liked it.
If you like,
yeah,
it's very Sheridan-esque.
It's a lot of people dying.
How could,
does no one really?
There's no law.
Did the parents never actually check in
to find out where their,
where their son or daughter has been?
Oh,
yeah, just dead.
Yeah, just dead, yeah.
But I do like Landman.
And Alley Larder.
Yeah.
Son of a gun.
Great actress.
Big fan.
And Billy Bob Thornton's awesome.
He's great for that role.
How do we get here?
severance TV brain
yeah
neuralink
correct go back further
bandwidth what's neuralink
it's the musks thing where they
drill into your head like severance oh okay good
yeah sounds
sounds right yeah the raiders off season
tub so that's how we got there
that's how we got there yeah
we're great
what no other shows are doing that
raiders are dialed in they're cuckin
have you seen severance have you seen that do you have a chip in your brain that's going to do it everyone
we will be back tomorrow uh it'll be a game day if it's snow and i'm staying home jack can't go out
in snow i don't have winter tires for me yeah we had to come in today for that big meeting that's right
that big pre-show meeting today um it was good that pender wasn't here to be part of that because
then it would have dragged on somehow even the show it's still you know noodles was good
always yeah noodles is great jack what do you think how's the show today great
noodles is great how are we really good covered last night's game really well did we
we just kind of like almost no we bragged it up it's pretty positive for the longest
of times we were gonna go to st louis right no no no no no our cup is half full right now
that's what it would be so yeah a big win but we didn't do that at least not right off the
start boy it'd be great if someone from the flames would come on our show tomorrow
it's a game day.
It's trouble.
Oh, so Trent Culls busy?
Conroy's busy watching, like,
there's people that,
I don't want a player.
Players are boring to talk to.
I'd rather talk to Iggy and Connie
and just bug them.
Try to ruffle some feathers.
I can ask.
Yeah, well, I'm not going to.
No, I know.
Yeah, I know.
I just feel like I know they're listening
and they don't.
Your role is the,
we should get somebody.
on and then yeah it's an idea guy idea guy how are you today jack you sound better do i sound
better yeah a little bit kind of feel yeah yeah guess we should stay home tomorrow yeah especially
if it's snowing on your tires yeah not safe for jack not safe at all all seasons don't buy in
don't buy it jack don't buy it don't buy it see you buddies
