Starting point is 00:00:11 Oh, yeah. Ah, I like it at us. Here we are. Back and better than ever. Is that what they say? Something like that. Do they say that? I don't know that people say that.
Starting point is 00:00:24 We're back and better than ever. We're back. We're back. How are we doing? Everybody's good? Yeah. Look at all the white in this thing. Does that look good to you?
Starting point is 00:00:36 Is that good? Look at that. Huh? That's like my sideburns right. here. Looks like you were, maybe you were doing some baking prior to the show. You got some, you got some flour. You're making your cinnamon buns. He fell asleep on the dough. Yeah. Just the chin. No, I was thinking there was a, uh, we used to do F, I'm old. We could do like, uh, remember you, you can't do that. Just shit, we can't do anymore because of old. Yeah, I can't do that anymore.
Starting point is 00:01:03 Yeah, that's, that's done. I, uh, I, I lifted a, uh, I lifted a, uh, a bed frame yesterday and I couldn't sleep last night because my foot was out of whack. So I can't do that. Yeah. I've got, I'm going to say I've gone online and done some, some diagnosis. It's either tennis elbow or some bursitis.
Starting point is 00:01:28 Ah, terrible. I was, I was trying to push something. And I felt to go in my elbow. Ooh. Ooh. So now it's hot. Yeah, you don't want that.
Starting point is 00:01:40 And, and. feeling is not a good one. That's hot and swollen right on the tippy tip of the old elbow. Do you remember at the old place? I had that big one. Yeah, the big goiter on the bottom of your elbow. Drained out.
Starting point is 00:01:52 Yeah. There's a big chunk that came out of it. Hunter Bresitis? Is he playing in for the Wranglers? Is your Bracitus playing in the wranglers? You got your elbow drained and then you brought the fluid in a gatorade bottle to work. That was gross. You didn't need to do that.
Starting point is 00:02:05 Basically stem cell treatment. Yeah. Seriously. Last place in the league, by the way. And then Maddie Rose drank and he's like, what is this new flavor? Is this winter mint? What is this? This is not winterment.
Starting point is 00:02:18 This is winter death. Elbow lime fuzz, peach. Peach elbow, Theo? Yeah, not good. Not good. It's hot. Yeah, yeah. Not outside, but my elbow is hot.
Starting point is 00:02:34 Yeah. Keep you warm in the winter. Come on over here, take, boy. Like a hot blanket. Let me snuggled right up to the elbow. Yeah, there's not a lot of snuggle. I just put my head right there. Yeah, it's a snuggle-free zone.
Starting point is 00:02:45 Not the best of times. But, yeah, the dog hit it this morning. It was not a good scene. I let out of the hauler and he went running. Oh, shit. Sorry. Hiding under the bed. What did I do?
Starting point is 00:02:56 I just came in to say good morning. So, well, here we are. We've, good time as good time as any for our opening statements for McLeod Law, our good buddies. Over at McLeod Law, whatever your legal challenge, may be personal business we just throw it out there whatever it is in life you buy and you sell it you got sued you're suing somebody you're doing something something's up you got deals now what's you i was at the cloud law yesterday sorry what finished dean i was waiting for you to finish i would
Starting point is 00:03:26 just go hang out there let's go you're all right lovely because they're very helpful but what are you needing help with is everything okay can't die big secrets oh there's big things happening really nothing but yes it's it's a warrant for ret's arrest yeah no big deal is not just like real we're doing the show here lovely lovely office yeah yeah it is nice point it is nice uh did you have a coffee while you were there you have because i'd had one going in and then i realized that was stupid yeah could i had a we've been here yeah not the worst when you're like oh they got a good coffee they're like shoot i just bought a coffee what am i doing i can't be 17 dollars for coffee
Starting point is 00:04:08 down. Rookie move. Peter Klein, McLeod Law, personal injury guy. He's also your, of course, no,
Starting point is 00:04:15 maybe it's disability insurance. Are you getting the runaround in your, are you disabled? Are they pretending that elbows? They're not to sue this business I own
Starting point is 00:04:24 for hurting my elbow. If you're getting the run around or if it's just anything because you do, you need legal help. McLeoddashlaw.com. They're Calgary people. Their roots run deep.
Starting point is 00:04:36 They care about Calgary. know how it goes here. You're not going to get, when you phone or you reach out to McLeod Law, they're not shipping you off to some Toronto office or Vancouver office or whatever. It's all Calgary and they are here for you. MacLeod-dashlaw.com opening statements. I guess it's hockey season. It's funny, right?
Starting point is 00:04:57 It's hockey season now. You mean because there's tryouts for kids or? No, this is real hockey season today. If you're a hockey player by trade and you are not at a training camp, right now. Trouble. What's the, what's the dish?
Starting point is 00:05:11 What's happening? What's going on? How come? Jeremy Swayman, what's going on? Sway dog. Didn't I see Mo Cider is in Germany? Ooh. Mo is my kid's favorite.
Starting point is 00:05:22 Mo, good player. Mo's good. There's some other games. You know what Mo wants. Mo. Money? Mo money. And you know what Steve Eyes was saying?
Starting point is 00:05:31 No, Mo, Mo. Mo, Mo. No, Mo. You know what? Mo money, more problem. That's maybe. That's what Stevie's saying. That's what Steve is saying.
Starting point is 00:05:40 I want to give you Mo Doe, but no, Mo money, Mo Cap problems. That's right. Mo money. So you have it as a MoSider contract update and see if it does numbers. That was really dumb. Something like that. Yeah. And so if you're without a contract, like an unrestricted free, maybe you're an RFA.
Starting point is 00:06:00 You're probably going to get things figured out. You're probably going to matter of time, you're going to get a figured out. If you're a UFA, you may not get it figured out. No. Frank Sarah Valley are one of our hockey insiders had this morning. Some of the marquee defense, but not in camps. Justin Schultz. Joltz. Not in a training camp. Tony DiAngelo. Tony D. He's kind of a point machine on the back end. He is not in a training camp. He should stop worrying about kids hockey and he'd be in better shape.
Starting point is 00:06:27 Is he commenting on kids hockey? Well, he wasn't commenting. He was recruiting. Anyway. Kevin Shatton Kirk is not in. is not in camp. Mark Giordano is waiting for a phone call. There's a few guys out there that are like, where's calling their agent?
Starting point is 00:06:45 Hey, is this thing on? You got me? Can I say something? You sure can, right? How quickly it goes from being, like, take Mark Girgerno because he's played here and we know him. And you hate him.
Starting point is 00:07:04 Always. Actively trying to trade him for decades. 20 years, 15 years. years of his career life, whatever, walk into the rink, focal point, one of the main cogs of the wheel that's churning this machine,
Starting point is 00:07:22 which we call a hockey team. Instant responses, front of the line stuff. Very humbling at this point. It's what happens, and it's how it goes, but what a mind twist and a psychological kicking a nits.
Starting point is 00:07:41 It is when you are calling your agent and it's October and he's going, well, I'm sorry. They're not even taking your freaking call anymore. I'll get back. The secretary's like, I'll jot your number down. He'll get back to you. Can't get through the main line. Key father you're working at the door anymore. Now, what is worse in this case?
Starting point is 00:08:01 Is it a kick to the nips or the stones? The nips or the nuts? The nits. I thought if it was nip, I thought if it was nips, that's like that's a roundhouse oh that's nice it's very slicing one that's definitely a real bad one yeah i don't think we want uh boots to the torso but i do still think the nits is the prime point of contact you don't want sorry for interrupting you but i just you it's nothing to us but i'm thinking okay i went through this and now you're mark jordanno and he's sitting in toronto and he's going
Starting point is 00:08:33 huh so two things this is different most players like 90 probably 95 percent of players are or more do not get to exit the game on their own terms. And that's what you're talking about. It's this. How did we get here? I didn't see this happen. The other side of it is, if Curtis Glenn Crossway is another month,
Starting point is 00:08:52 I think he would have got another job. Now, that was earlier. He was 32 or something, not 41 like Gio, but there will still be guys that play defense that get hurt in the next two months. So the challenge is to be patience, patient, excuse me, and to be at the ready if that happens. Find a place to skate because that ain't easy either. Exactly. Exactly. All of a sudden, everybody's flying.
Starting point is 00:09:16 Well, it's like all of a sudden you're calling the U of T, whatever they're called. The dinoes. You can skate. The dinoes. The golden bears. Like, wherever you're at, you're skating. You just got to keep applying your trade here. Keep the tools sharp because you never know, right? You could call stage. You could do some skills work with it. That's right. And it's one thing if you have a deal. You're rehabbing, you're coming back. you're assuming that there's the it would be another thing right now camp is open i would think you're give a shit meter if you're one of those guys you're skating with everybody hey you know
Starting point is 00:09:46 then like 90% of the guys go to the training camps and now there's three of you guys left correct yeah it's okay we're still good don't work hey we're gonna get it's fine they still on us and then in three days one a guy like trickles over to austria or something like we're still good i like two better than three anyway let's do one on ones a couple weeks later guys are now getting cut from NHL camps and they're showing up for extra ice. You're like, this is going backwards now. This is not good. I mean, now we're on the same boat.
Starting point is 00:10:15 This is the shits. And then, because we've talked to some guys, because Corey Sarich did that. If you remember after he was in his bike, his bike accident was on the ice season starts, like maybe somebody's going to need some help. I'm going to keep skating and working hard and I'm giving it my all, damn it. And then maybe it's, I'm not sure I'm feeling it today. a day off is good for the body. It's good.
Starting point is 00:10:39 You got to let your body recoup. Wednesday, I'll be there. You're darn right. Then you show up Wednesday, Thursday. There's a concert up in Edmonton I might go to. Concerts. Jeez. Monday.
Starting point is 00:10:52 I'm not there today. I'll see you guys Monday. Love Mondays. And then we're going to kick it. It's going to be a fresh new week. And boy, golly, we're going to. My point being, I would think it's hard to keep up the pace. the work ethic and all of that and not get to the point where,
Starting point is 00:11:09 hmm, the phone ain't ringing. Maybe that's it. They got to call Kareem Hunt for advice or Harim, whatever, you know the name. Because he's two years in a row now. It's just been like, yeah, just hang out. Running backs, you know, someone's going to get hit by a linebacker too hard. I'll have a job in a few months.
Starting point is 00:11:25 I was a chief. See, just that'd be patient. Sure. Or you could be Ryan Tannahill who continues to work out and there's quarterback injuries like my phone. are. My phone's ready. I played for these guys even.
Starting point is 00:11:37 Like I know the dolphin ski. I'm ready to walk in. Skyler Thompson. All right. Oh, shit. I guess we'll just keep waiting. Anyway, I mean, out of that, going back to Geo,
Starting point is 00:11:49 I do wonder if maybe that's... Could be it. Maybe that's it. It would take an injury. If I'm Tony DeAngel's agent, I would say, shut your mouth, delete all your social media. We might get a job.
Starting point is 00:12:02 Yeah. You're young and you've done some things. You're not too. old. Everyone knows you're not a great defender. Everyone knows you can put up points and everyone knows that, you know, you're seen as a bit of a liability in social media and in a locker room. So like, clean it up and we get your job. Shut up. Just shut it. If you would, please. I would assume that DeAngelo will pop up somewhere, Shultz will pop up somewhere. I'm not sure about Chad and Kirk. I'm not, I'm not sure about G. Anyone who's a right shot D is going to get
Starting point is 00:12:31 tied to the Oilers? Just, uh, FYI, be ready for that. that because they do have three top four defensemen. And you typically do win a Stanley Cup would need four top four defense. Four is kind of the minimum. And so as you said, the oilers in need of D. I read yesterday have, what, invited a forward to camp.
Starting point is 00:12:49 So it's, uh, it's a tale's oldest time. Last year of the deadline, boy, they really could upgrade that blue line. Come on in some forwards. Come on in Adam Henrique.
Starting point is 00:12:58 Carrick. Carrick. You're great. Carrick. We love you. Yeah. Yeah. About those D.
Starting point is 00:13:07 Anyway, that's kind of what's happening. So training camp is underway. Today's today, Dean. All the vets. I don't. Yesterday was fat boy testing, and today is first skates for most teams. And we're starting to see the news of like, this guy's hurt. That guy's going to be a while.
Starting point is 00:13:26 This guy should be ready for game one. This guy's going to miss a week. Like now that you have to show up, teams are like, now we have to be honest about. Is that the call the caliper, rat? Was it the caliper? Yeah, the pinchers, yeah. And I got to say, I saw a picture of some Toronto defensemen. There's no fat.
Starting point is 00:13:40 No. Nobody's fat. They're actually skinny. Gross. You're so disgusted. These guys aren't fat. Three percent. Back in my day.
Starting point is 00:13:51 We used training cap to get into shape. Yeah. Gross. How are you feeling? How are you feeling right now? Because you would have done your fitness testing that you hate and would create nightmares for you. That's in the rear of your name. That was yesterday, Redd?
Starting point is 00:14:05 How are you feeling today? It's not even, it's not even close to being the same. I know, but how would you be feeling today? I would feel great. I'd be hung over and ready to go. First day. I set the tone. And when did the check start going back in again after the 15th?
Starting point is 00:14:22 The 15. Oh, oh. Yeah. Yeah, it was a big summer. I took it down to like, there was four digits only in the, uh, in the, uh, checking. count let's get her back. Careful.
Starting point is 00:14:36 Yeah. 15th cat comes soon enough. So are we excited? For, for, um, I'm excited to see hockey again and have things going. I'm long term. I'm realistic, I guess.
Starting point is 00:14:50 I don't know what word do you. You wait until the Pender report. We got an absolute bomb in there, not a pipe bomb, but a Bobby Germany bomb, which look out, look out. But I would say this. I'm curious to see how they, where they put all these pieces. Because you want to see the kids, but you've also got. some prime pump and dump move me at the deadline candidates.
Starting point is 00:15:07 They've got some new parts you haven't seen here yet. And you want to see how Ryan Husko wants to put these pieces together. You still only have two NHL centers, if I'm being honest. I think it's Backland and Cadreys. So does that mean Kevin Rooney makes the team by default? Does that mean poshospicals? Yeah, he's not a center. And he's also not an NHLer.
Starting point is 00:15:24 Uh, yeah. So Pinder. She. Yes. Yes. Next year, maybe. Come on. I guess I've played one H.
Starting point is 00:15:33 He's played one HL game. You think he's ready, Brett? Give him some time. First round pick. Hey, Rhett, you weren't in Penticton, man. Like, you don't know. I don't know. We got the eyeball test.
Starting point is 00:15:44 And Jack laughing out loud? Yeah. And you heard that? Jeez. It's his favorite thing in the world. It was very funny. In fairness to Jack, I am very witty. Delirious.
Starting point is 00:15:56 Hearing these clinics got you dialed in. That's like way off, Mike. Oh, my. So, okay. a Robert Munich bomb coming up in the Pinder report. The camp gets going, the preseason schedule. Somebody I was at the rink last night, kids, sports and stuff. He's like, I managed to, in our season ticket poll,
Starting point is 00:16:15 I got preseason game one. So he was very excited. Well, you're going to get a lot of Matt Bay, greeting and Hunter Bristet and probably some charity. I got to say, you know what? You make fun of it. It might be more entertainment than games. Could be.
Starting point is 00:16:30 I don't disagree with that at all. That's where the curiosity and excitement is. It's about the kids. We call it prospect porn. They have not failed us yet. They still could turn into great players. They are dreams. Dreams are great.
Starting point is 00:16:43 Yes. They have dreams. They have not failed yet. Just like they don't give up by your dreams. Yeah, got to have dreams. Keep on dreaming. Now I see Jack's got there. Is there any point, do you want to save the roster?
Starting point is 00:16:55 Do we want to look at it? We can look at the roster if you want. You can look at the lines tweeted from the first group. Essentially. We'll leave some of that for, you know, for you. But so let's do this. Rookie camp in Penticton wrapped earlier this week. They then come back here and there's fitness testing.
Starting point is 00:17:10 And when we talked to Craig on whatever day it was, Craig Conroy, he had talked about whether it was he or Huska or just the group, the brass. Remember a couple of years ago when Daryl Sutter made a very, very, it was very clear. There was a line between who's an NHL player and who's not. and we're not, there's no melding. There is that line here, but it's different, fellas. They have three teams, team three. It's all, hope you enjoy your time at camp before we send you back. Right.
Starting point is 00:17:40 But the teams one and two are a nice even dispersal of your top two-thirds of the organization. So there you see, that's Team Crisp, which I'm guessing is a KFC sponsorship deal. I'm not sure. There are some younger guys in there. Andrew Bashar, who we were very impressed with. There's Sam Hanzik, who. has already been disparaged once in the program. Sparious me talking about.
Starting point is 00:18:02 Cole Schwint, Walter Ignazchev is in there. So yeah, there's some, there's some fellows who are definitely going to be off to the, back to junior. Some H. Chilers in there, I think,
Starting point is 00:18:13 in some, Steved, Gershikov, etc. Team McNeil, Chopper. So this, there's, I was going to make a shot with seeing Hubertoe in there.
Starting point is 00:18:25 Clearly these are all guys that would love to make the NHT. No, no, there's some Cellars here. There's some cellars in there. There's Jacob Pellche, a lot of eyes will be on him. He's coming back.
Starting point is 00:18:36 Got a deal. William Stromgren had himself a good rookie camp. Big year for Stronggren fellas. Big year. And a big year for Jacob Pellche. We talked about it a little bit in Penticton, but retro,
Starting point is 00:18:49 since we have talked, he has signed his new contract. He has waiver. He's got to go through waivers now. If you're going to send him to the American Hockey League. You can lose them. You may lose them
Starting point is 00:18:57 because the entire. entire NHL, all the other teams are going to have a crack at him as he goes through waivers. So that might be a indicator. Well, it might be a, you know, tiebreaker at minimum. It might be a bonus for him. Sure is. I don't want him to have to think about these. I agree.
Starting point is 00:19:16 You want him to earn a top nine job and be undeniable, but you also can't lose the asset for nothing. I remember how we all felt about the, uh, Balamaki. Like you can't lose guys for nothing, not when their first rounders. that have had some injuries and could still be very good pieces. There are many players who on both sides, Flames fans have had a lot of angst about when it came waiver time. You cannot lose Sam Bennett. Bennett has to go through waivers.
Starting point is 00:19:41 You're going to lose him. You cannot lose Jacob Pellche. You can't lose Yoni Artio. If you put him on waivers, someone is going to. You can't. Huh? That was a bit. It was maybe before your time a little bit.
Starting point is 00:19:57 No, it was the three goalie thing. I remember. The original thing was tough. It was probably like a Hiller and a Johnson and an Oreo or something. Yeah, and remember Bob Hartley, he didn't like, I remember his line having tree goalies. It's like having three Coke machines, three drink machines on the ice.
Starting point is 00:20:15 They are just in the road all the time. In the way, it is not good for the practice. We're trying to do the mountain climbers, and they are taking up way too many lane with their pads. Yeah. So anyway, All right. You want to get to the point where it's, what are we talking about American High League? He's in NHL. Look at his play. He's here. He's a part of the NHL team.
Starting point is 00:20:36 Yes. You hope that that's not even a conversation. Yep. And to be fair, prior to last season, that was a conversation. And two injuries and a tough year has changed everything. Get back to where you were a year ago. Let's go. Jake. That's right. Jake. That's right. Do you want to see the flash a third team of prospects that does, I don't know that there's a single NHL run? Did we see three? I think it was. I think it was. put it up very quickly. Yeah, there was McNeil and, uh, and Johnson and, uh, and Johnson. So, so here, like, is there a player that could play in the NHL here? I thought they were all excited about them. Ever or this year?
Starting point is 00:21:10 Just this year. It would have to be, you'd have to run into such a rash of injuries. A lot of these guys are junior players. There's a lot of HLers here. There's guys that'll play on the coast here, like Redaum's up there. Yeah, there's a good chunk of those guys we just watched, Pataglia, Bell. Well, yeah, back to journey, yeah. Lange had a good rookie camp. Lipinski looked good.
Starting point is 00:21:27 Mesa, we were very impressed with as the tournament went on. Henry Mewes. So, yeah, this is, this is the, it's the- Henner, Henner, Henner, Henner. Henner. Someone just got a nickname. Henner. Someone's in trouble.
Starting point is 00:21:44 Where's the Y? It's probably not a big deal. I like Henner. Definitely, let's not make, draw attention to it, I guess, would be the part there. Anyway, so yeah, yeah, that's clearly, it would seem like there's not a lot of NHL impact this season on that club. What I look at with these two groups is if you're going to build a line in your Ryan Huska, you're probably not putting these guys on separate teams.
Starting point is 00:22:05 So that allows us to sort of dive into what we think Ryan Huska might do with the forward group. Like for example, if you're going to play Pelche with Backlin and Coleman, you wouldn't put them on separate groups. Guess what? They're in separate groups. But Connor Zeri is in that group. And this morning was on a line.
Starting point is 00:22:25 with Backlin and Coleman. Very early, things are going to change, but it's the first sort of crumbs and clues as to what this could look like on opening night for linemates. Manta and Hubertoe in the same group with Pospisal, who we heard in Penticton might get some work between those two as a center iceman. And then Cadry Sharon Govich, Kuzmenko,
Starting point is 00:22:47 I love Sharkey back on the wing. He was quite adequate at center, but I think you're unleashing his best self on the wing if you can find someone to play the middle. Well, his offensive numbers certainly were better away from the center position, which is impressive how he filled in, but he's a winger. It's sort of how I've looked at it. Winger, winger, winger.
Starting point is 00:23:09 Tom, what way. And then what you'd expect to, like Wiger-Miramano, played together all last year. I don't want to go down this. Okay. Do it. Do it. Come on.
Starting point is 00:23:20 Pinder brought it up already. So Hansick is definitely not a center. I mean, he. And I'm not, I would say, was he not supposed to be? If you're not playing center at a prospects tournament and you're not playing center in training camp and you didn't play center as a 19 year old in the Western League last year, you might be a center, but God, it's probably a four out of 100% chance. It's so unlikely to happen at this point when you can't do it against younger men than
Starting point is 00:23:45 you and junior. And then when you're at a prospect tournament where the results don't matter and they can get a free look, when they can kick the tires on you as a center. Now, again, the same stipulations that we talked about with some other guys, like Pellche. It's like, you lost a lot of time to injury last year, and that might have changed how people view you and your opportunities are a little different now. But if he hasn't played center yet, why would he start now? But did we draft him at? Was the thought?
Starting point is 00:24:07 The thought was he could be a center, but he was drafted as a winner. Fellas, may I speak freely? Yes, you may. Did Jack Laugh again? Or did he cough? How are you hearing this? Is your mic on? It's the hearing loss clinic.
Starting point is 00:24:24 They've done amazing things for me. Rhodes, they're doing great work. Let's be honest with each other. To this point, Sam Hansick has had a rough go since being drafted as a flame. Correct.
Starting point is 00:24:38 He's had injuries. His play has not been at the level you would expect. As I think you said it the other day, you would like someone who's a first round pick back in junior two dominate. This should be a year coming. Even after the injury,
Starting point is 00:24:50 he did not do that. This is about repairing confidence, trying to make the best of a potentially bad situation. Let's get, build it. And I would suggest, I would suggest the wing position is a little easier than it is to play center. So if the wing right now gets him points and goals and confidence and starts to build him back, that's the path of least resistance. That's what they're going to do right now.
Starting point is 00:25:18 You have to do with a kid two years out of his draft, out of his draft. You don't want to have to do that. So to your point, Ryan, for sure. Play them at center. Put them at... I feel like there's more to it. This is a first round pick. He's never been said.
Starting point is 00:25:31 You want to say there's more to it and dive into this. Are we not... I don't even want to because it's rumors and... But I've talked to or heard from a few people that were questioned the pick from the start. And it's like, ooh, we don't need that. I got a quote here from an exchange with an NHL front office member. Bad pick. Soft is a good.
Starting point is 00:25:55 great, not a center, zero compete, average skill, and a late birthday. People in the chat are saying he's 19. He'll turn 20 before New Year's Eve, which means this is his 20 year old year. He's 20 right away, isn't they? Like November? And so that's why he's eligible to play in the A. At 19, you have to stay in Major Junior. So look, that's not a consensus opinion, but if you're worried, there's reasons to be worried. It doesn't mean it's not going to work, but there's certainly some red flags if he doesn't, it's a very big year for him to establish himself. He's going to play against men. He's jumping up a level after not really dominating junior.
Starting point is 00:26:24 A punt for game as a 19 year old ain't enough. Here's my frustrating take on it, I guess, for me personally. I don't follow the junior hockey and the draft and the, but the rumblings I heard was that it was a bit of a stab in the dark. This was not a consensus you have to take this kid at this point. We saw a bunch of kids slide to where the flames were picking. I believe it's 16 in Nashville. And the big names that slid were not Sam Hansick.
Starting point is 00:26:51 Now, that doesn't mean he wasn't the right pick for the team, but there were some very profile players that weren't supposed to be there at 16 that got there. And I was kind of like miffed by the pick because I don't know anything about Hansik, but I just heard about all these great players that should have been gone. And there they were when the flames pick. And then take it. That's and that's my, I'm like, when you do that, you better be effing sure that this kid's going to be the guy.
Starting point is 00:27:14 Yeah, like the Igor Chinikov thing with Columbus. It's like no one's heard the name. Like, it better work out, friends. That's a first rounder. And, you know, he's a good player. Give Columbus credit. And Hansick, okay, he was hurt, but there should be signs of life. And you guys were in Penticton.
Starting point is 00:27:32 It was a mixed bag. He, there was almost no signs of the list. It can't be a mixed bag if you're at first. Let me walk you through what I saw and you can call it whatever you want. Game one, not noticeable. Game two, he played with Stromgren and Morton, two of the older forwards on the team, looked much better. Game three scored on a breakaway and kind of was in and out.
Starting point is 00:27:49 He was not as noticeable as the three first round picks since him, which are gridden and obviously Perrick. Perrick and then I'm throwing Bash in there because he was a guy that's like all three of those guys I would place higher. Oh my goodness. And now you are being very nice.
Starting point is 00:28:07 Like you're being very kind. The first game against Winnipeg, you didn't notice him. It was everybody. That's what I just said. You didn't notice him. He did not have any fingerprints on the game. And then in the Edmonton game,
Starting point is 00:28:17 now the Oilers, I think probably everyone would say, the weakest club at the tournament with what they have for prospects right now. Yeah, he was a little better, but they also played him with the 25-year-old pro in Morton and Stromgrind. He was drafted in 21. Yeah. I've stated just both those things. I'm in total agreement with you. I mean, no, no, but listen, it's, it's not good. No. It's going to have to be a major turnaround, a major breakout for this not to be a failed pick. That's just the way as we sit here right now because it's trending that way and there were 18 year there were a lot
Starting point is 00:28:54 of other guys that flashed and made you notice i agree i got very little this is the problem with going off the one thing though hang on hang on hang on where were we out in connor's area year ago right now be honest with yourself i i okay you're right where were you be on tell us i was he was a forgotten man failed pick injuries plus probably not a good fit just a forgotten man damn it but he It wasn't failed. It was just forgotten. Yeah. A first rounder not being,
Starting point is 00:29:22 remember it? That's not a failed pick? We didn't talk about, like there was no rookie can. We didn't see him. It was, there was no, there was no barometer on him.
Starting point is 00:29:31 We didn't talk about him at all. People had already flushed the pick, essentially. Otherwise, you don't forget about it. Okay. Tell me, tell me what I think I.
Starting point is 00:29:39 What do you mean? You're saying he's a forgotten pick and you're like, you just forgot about a first round guy? How do you forget about a first round guy? It's a failed pick if you've forgotten about him, no? we are, but are we, did we talk about him to the degree we've talked about Hansik?
Starting point is 00:29:52 No. And so my point is not that, you know, right or wrong. It's just that Zeri had an, a year plus of injury issues that completely changed his stock in the hockey world. And co. Hansik's had the same and COVID as well. So I understand how we feel about Hansik. It doesn't mean it won't work. But I think probably the realistic thing here, fellas, is that he's very likely to end up being a middle six winger in the NHL, and I don't know that there's more ceiling above that. Yeah, and I just go back to, and again, my brother, I've got plenty of CTE, so I could be wrong.
Starting point is 00:30:26 What was the approach from the team as to why they took them? To me, it sounded like they thought they'd found something that nobody else saw. And when you do a pick like that, it's like, okay, again, we just said it. You better, it better turn out because you had other options, guys that had slid. It was somewhat, maybe not a stunning off the board out of left field pick, but it certainly wasn't a consensus. Oh, yeah, it was like, huh. I don't think they were trying to be, ha, ha, look at us.
Starting point is 00:30:57 Like, that wasn't the impression I got. They just really liked what they saw. They talked about him willing his team back in the games they were behind. I think they thought he could be a center. They love the pro body. He moves well for a man of his size. They liked them. I don't think they thought they were, it was reach.
Starting point is 00:31:12 but maybe they should. Everyone else did. Yeah, I think the consensus also was that that was a little early. Yeah, I mean, but if he's healthy, who knows? Maybe he's a point and a half for game and he's played center for a year.
Starting point is 00:31:22 Like, that's what injuries do. Yeah, there's injuries. You can't. But I guess, yes, there's injuries and maybe that slowed him down and maybe the flames will end up being right on the pick over the long haul and it'll prove itself out. But a year out,
Starting point is 00:31:38 it wasn't a consensus pick. people tell you things. I can't believe they took him there. And you start to go. And then you don't see him in camp. Okay, well, how long is the injury thing hold you back? Like, why aren't you noticeable in game one?
Starting point is 00:31:56 It sounds like he was barely noticeable. Yeah, he was not. Over the weekend. Like, he should be in a position where it's like, I'm ready to start. So to go back, are you telling, so you're saying, Ryan, that we had conversations that Zeri was a failed pick like we're talking like this.
Starting point is 00:32:10 We barely talked about. No, I'm not saying. There's a ton of similarities. It was coming out of COVID. He went back to junior, had great numbers, made the Canadian World Junior team, went to the American Hockey League,
Starting point is 00:32:19 had an okay first season. Tell me about the first year. What do you do? What first year? You said the first year in American League, an okay season. I don't have it in front of you. He had 13 goals and 25 points in 53 games.
Starting point is 00:32:30 That's not really good. I think Hansa could do that this year. I just think there's a lot of players. Half a point a game, okay, so half a point a game in your first year, if it was somebody else that you were all going, and horny for you'd be telling me how great it was no a half point per game as a 20 year old is respectable it's not like matthew phillips sort of done better than that his first year in that league
Starting point is 00:32:51 no as a 19 year old half point a game in the a you would be you would be you would be you would be you would be like there's no 19 year old tipping the table over you're not allowed to play in the a at 19 there was a little covid exception that was it um i just think there's a lot of similarities at zeri do you know and no one thought zeri would be a contributing part on the big club last your never mind one of the great stories of the season. That's my only point here. They're not the same. I hope I'm like similarities.
Starting point is 00:33:15 I'm not even saying. I hope I it's not about me. It's just we we it's, there's been very little that has gone right for this pick. So he's gotten injured. The numbers haven't been there. He struggled to come back. We just sat through a rookie tournament and you had to look to find him.
Starting point is 00:33:32 It was halfway through the first game and it was like, oh shit, that right. Yeah. He's playing because there were. so many other guys who were like flashing. He looks good. And look at the speed and look at the, look at the skill. And wow, that's something else.
Starting point is 00:33:45 Oh, right. Hansik. Yeah. So we're talking about a guy that was the captain of his junior team and was essentially, he's only played 33 games since he was drafted. And he's almost, he's basically a point per game player. What you want to see this year is a guy that can make an impact at the American League level. He's 20.
Starting point is 00:34:02 It's 20 year old season. He's not 20 yet. It's his 20 year old year. Nobody on the show at this time last year said, Connor Zerry is going to make the big club. Nobody on the show last year said Conner's area is going to play a significant role in the big club, and nobody on the show thought Conner Zerry was going to be
Starting point is 00:34:16 one of the great stories of the season. So the hope, if you're a flames fan, is that not unlike Conner Zeri, who had a lot of time post-draft class marred by injury and COVID, your point read, that this story is not done. But I agree with you, Dean. It's not how you would have wanted it to go,
Starting point is 00:34:33 having played just 33 games since he was selected by the Menach. The trends and the questions are, It's concerning. But it certainly is not in stone at this point. No. Again, I don't want Hansik to. Nobody does. It's not in any of his best interest for Conzik to fail.
Starting point is 00:34:49 And, you know, to your point about World Juniors, I mean, he's going to play for Slovakia and he's played internationally too. I just think it's more comparable than you think, you know. The talk of them might not use. I'm just talking about our conversations. We never talked about Zeri. He better make the team or it's a failed pick. Yes, it was a huge shock when he came in.
Starting point is 00:35:08 because we had no there was no expectation at that point for him to make the teeth and and and and zary at that pick i don't know if it was consensus but it wasn't to me was onzick was off the board at that point with what else was available was it traded down a couple times to get zary at 24 it was a lower pick than 16 too to be fair the expectation's not the same at 24 doesn't hit as often as 16 those are different probabilities of success anyway i just you you're I want the kid to do well. The rumblings I've heard are like, there's way more questions than we would like.
Starting point is 00:35:46 And I don't like, if you're going to miss on a pick, it better not be because you thought you're smarter than someone else. Again, I'm not saying that's what it totally was, but there's just. There's some outside opinions that that is. Yes. I don't think the flames start they're going off board,
Starting point is 00:36:00 but I agree. I think other organizations like, ooh, that's a little early. Look, it's a huge year for them. Because here's the thing. If you strap him next to Stromgren and Morton on the top line in the American League all year, I wouldn't be surprised if he had a good year. But it's just like the opposite also would be painful.
Starting point is 00:36:18 If he can't find traction in the A, it's like, oh, God. Yeah. And what's the separation between? It'd be nice if he had a good year and he should have a good year. If he's going to get put on the top line with a 25-year-old pro, if you're a first round pick, yeah, you should have a good year. He played 33 games in the last 14, 15 months, and he's going to go play against men.
Starting point is 00:36:46 It's going to be a challenge, but I think he could do what Conner's Erie did, his first HL season. If you hate that comp, I'll keep it going. Anyway, boom loves this game. We should go to the draft pick. Go look at the years. Oliver Moore was a guy that slid that put up some crazy numbers.
Starting point is 00:37:02 I know that was sort of a guy that a lot of people thought wouldn't be there at 16. There was some other. Again, we talked about the draft class a ton about how incredibly deep it was and no one traded their first once we got past the trade deadline. There wasn't a single trade in the first round
Starting point is 00:37:16 for the first time in ages. We'll see, ASP, the Swedish defenseant, Axel Sandine Pelica. He was a guy that very well-rounded, considered to be a top four defenseman guy. He went the pick after. I really thought it would be him. I saw him in the elevator in Nashville.
Starting point is 00:37:31 He said, I think, I hope it's Calgary. It was kind of cool. Colby Barlow is a guy who went to the Jets. There's still some very talented players. Gabe Perrault, a massive slide. He was the guy that put up huge numbers of the U.S. National Development Team program. He slid all the way to the Rangers of the 23.
Starting point is 00:37:45 Some teams didn't like them, but in terms of just the numbers, they're prolific. So there were safer picks to be sure, but we also, a year out isn't when we get the final grade. And I don't give a shit what they say. They wanted them to be a center. And if he can't be a center,
Starting point is 00:38:02 and he still plays, it's fine. but don't they wanted them be a center. They're looking at that frame going, yeah, we want a big 6-3 center down the middle. We don't have center. There's no way you're, anyway. And the things they liked him for, he's still good at. Big pro body protects the puck well.
Starting point is 00:38:24 And there it is, protect the puck, 6-4. Like he's, there's lots of tools there still. Is he tools-y? I mean, he's a first-rounder, Dean. It's hard to not find a tools-y-few. Surrounder. A ton of finesse. Six, four, protects the puck well, lots of finesse.
Starting point is 00:38:40 Dean, Dean, he fakes cutbacks in one direction. So he's going this way. Yeah. And then before going the other way. That's like Pinders takes. Yeah, he'll be going one way and then just, it's, you just never know where it's going to go. I got to keep you guys on your toes, I guess.
Starting point is 00:38:58 Dean. Dean. No, but it's just, look, I understand. We'll move on. We're crushing the kid. for no reason. Because you go through that list, it's not like I'm going to sit here and tell you,
Starting point is 00:39:08 oh, he's, well, they should have taken him or should have taken him. Early. All I'm telling you is, Be better! Sorry, a little loud. That's very much. You know, moving on. Let's screw it.
Starting point is 00:39:20 So, yeah, we were, uh, we were in Penticton. Have you ever been, right? I've been through. What? Where were you going to stop? Why did I have to stop in Penn Tickton? Oh, you're missing out. Dean.
Starting point is 00:39:33 It was your first real. set your feet, get settled, get settled, Penticton? I mean, I've been there a couple of times before. For how long? For this tournament. Okay, that's right. Sure. Sorry. But yeah, we were there. And a lovely spot. The South Okanagan event center is a great rink.
Starting point is 00:39:53 They got a little press box area, a little kind of an upper decky thing. It's very nice. Great spot to watch hockey. to beat up prospects yeah go in and just crush 19 year old guys why aren't you better god it was hurt all year guys what the fuck did you want you guys you guys you should be better
Starting point is 00:40:14 what I'm thinking um but it's it's it's it was a you know it was a nice little thing so the Canucks they like it so much they're staying they're holding their whole training cap there is that right they're doing the whole thing today they're on the ice there how about it they move around that province they do well time for a meaningful

I was sure you'd Like what was the bet 365 line that I would actually get to a game? Oh, plus 400? I'm proud of myself. Plus 450? I mean... I went to the game and I watched the game.
Starting point is 00:43:09 But what about your nap window? And now the next game is the Oilers and the Canucks and there's way too many stinking Canuck and Oilers fans. They're just starting to let them in here. I just kind of spit up a little bit. Yeah. Burp pooped in my mouth so we're getting out of here. We got a steak or something.
Starting point is 00:43:26 Something for sure. Man's thirsty. Got to eat. Let's go. Let's go. I like ducks. If I grab one, you know what? You'd think, well, what are you going to do to him?
Starting point is 00:43:53 He'd be my buddy. He'd hang out. Love ducks, eh? Can't believe you didn't push him in. Who push you in? Pinder off the deck there? Yeah, I was thinking about it. Had my shoes on.
Starting point is 00:44:06 Yeah, I was thinking about it. A lot of duck poo on that dog. There was a lot of sort of, or goose? What would you have there? Probably both. Ducks have, uh, have excrement that size, I'm sure. I think that goose and then
Starting point is 00:44:18 the ducks a little more watery. That's our meaningful moment of the week a presentation of Alberta Blue Cross. Again, if you're planning that trip, don't leave town. Don't get out there and then be thinking back, man, we should have gotten that travel insurance before you leave. Planet and Planet Right. Alberta Blue Cross
Starting point is 00:44:34 Canada's most trusted travel insurance, focus on the right kind of memories while your way. Website is AB.b.bluecross.ca.ca. slash travel for more information. Shout out RJ. How good was that? Good boy, RJ. Arj. He was very excited.
Starting point is 00:44:50 Was he wound up? Oh, boy. He loves... He loves... He loves the prospects. He loves all that sort of thing. He was down at the... I was down at the glass. And I was talking to one of the other camera guys. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:05 That's great, RJ. He got very nervous. It was excellent. Camera work on that shot. It's not in regular season form yet. Not very focused. Not very focused. Yeah, kind of.
Starting point is 00:45:22 Kind of, kind of, kind of, kind of. And how did you two get along? Is there insurance for that? I think like not unlike other relationships I have my life. It's like sometimes less is more. We have some great times together, but then a little more space. We're going to walk away. We'll go back together.
Starting point is 00:45:38 Walk away. Plus, Dean hated it because I had buddies there. and I was always going to see buddies. No, I was very happy because you could then just leave and go do stuff with your buddies. Yes. It was a lot of pubs. Breweries. You'd be surprised.
Starting point is 00:45:51 Breweries and pubs, Red. Hardly enough, eh? I'm going to head to the pub and then we'll go to the pub. And then after the pub, I slide by the brewery. And then I'll come, once I'm done at the brewery, I'll come back to the pub. Have you been to the distillery? Yeah. You didn't take my advice on the air mat and up around.
Starting point is 00:46:10 He went with some weird pineapple beer and he didn't finish it. Is that like the Amsterdam Spacecake? No. Oh. Moving on. Good fun. No travel issues?
Starting point is 00:46:29 We had a major traffic issue on the way to the airport, but don't worry. We battle through it. We sold our way around that. Yeah. Yeah, I thought we were maybe going to miss a flight or something on the way. I was never, I wasn't too concerned. I knew Ryan would be, would get us there on time. I do like small airports.
Starting point is 00:46:47 Yes. Isn't it nice? So good. You love that server too, that old hen with the purple hair. Well, I mean, she was. You are so welcome. You are so well. You guys have a big day. I'm going to bring you another coffee. You need another one, don't you? Our coffee's real good.
Starting point is 00:47:01 What would you like? White or sourdough? You can't have white because it's not good for us. You better have sourdough, yeah. That's right, flow. I'll have the sourdough. That would be great. I like sourdough. It's good. So do I.
Starting point is 00:47:14 Not a bad one. Not a bad one. Um, who'd you like, Dean? If you had to pick a guy, you're like, ooh, that was a good camp. Oh, um, I, well, I came away probably Bashah. I mean, Perrick's hard to miss. He's everywhere. He's all over the ice.
Starting point is 00:47:30 There were a couple clips. I know that old Robert Munich had on his, uh, Twitter account. Yep. How he could like to take the puck so he's defenseman working the point. And his side to side to go laterally across the blue line, it's like he's floating. It's just, he's like a hovercraft. Unbelievable. You see everything that you hear about him.
Starting point is 00:47:55 High risk, high reward, high skill. Vision. Never have to tell him to join the rush. The one goal he was behind the offense, like behind the offensive net. And the puck went in while they were short handed. I hated it when I ended up there. Lepinski scores, scores for the flames.
Starting point is 00:48:16 And Perrick is behind the goal while they're short-handed. No, it was, it was real good. There was a lot of, there was a lot of skill there. We've talked about it a lot. Round one, the flames, they put a priority on skill above all else. And it sure seemed that way. There were some guys that I didn't know about Henner Muse on the way in or any of those guys. But no, there's-
Starting point is 00:48:39 Visa, you like to. He was a lot of 18-year-olds that stepped in and played men for the first time now. They're like, they're actually handling it much better than I thought. Brestevich had a really rough first period and the rest term. I thought it was great. They didn't play the last game. They arrested him and Stromgren and Morton. Morton was phenomenal, but he's 25.
Starting point is 00:48:54 What do you kind of expect him? He's got to be good. He can't really win there. But it does make you wonder if you ran into some injuries in the fourth line. Sam Morton wouldn't hurt you. Probably doesn't belong there for a whole year. But if you needed to pinch hit Sam Morton for three, four games,
Starting point is 00:49:07 I'd be fine. Yeah. But the main takeaway, and I know we talked about it, was Trent calls mustache. is on point. Whoa. Like, Rhett,
Starting point is 00:49:20 you got some competition and you've heard the praise for a decade plus from the two of us on your, your follically gifted upper lip. Trent Cole ain't pleeping around. And the thing,
Starting point is 00:49:31 it's, it's not just a mustache. The way, it's the color and the way, it's got a very Western feel to it. If he was on Yellowstone, that matches the Stetson, I think.
Starting point is 00:49:42 It very, it is very much a, you used Wyatt, Earp. I think definitely it's got a Wyatt Earp feel to him. And I'm not messing around with him. It's very intimidating. It's like this guy could, this guy could take me out and he could kill me right now.
Starting point is 00:49:58 Buster like that. You can, yeah, you. The man's attention. Yes, you know thing. In fact, go ahead. If you told me that he's killed a man with his bare hands, I wouldn't, I can see it. Trent called. Named. A HL head coach, suspected murder.
Starting point is 00:50:15 Barn burner exclusive. Yeah. Nice. You know what, though? You can tell why guys like him. Just in the, you know, the brief interactions we had with him, this guy seems like he's a good guy. Very down to earth?
Starting point is 00:50:26 Very down to earth. It's like a cowboy, dude. Yeah. Real people. Real people. I just wonder if he snores. Do you? I was thinking about that.
Starting point is 00:50:38 I wonder, I wonder. This guy needs to go to outdoor dental for one of those. this guy about outdoor dental. Just curious, Trent, your thoughts on, on Perrick, the, the giveaway there in overtime. Also, have you heard of the Soleil Laser? The Salea Laser treatment that is, obviously, it's for your dental work, can also be used to cure snoring.
Starting point is 00:51:07 Two 15-minute treatments, in fact. That's all it takes. Increases the top. I'm not sure if you have a soft palate looking at you. It's probably very iron-like. And solid. Yeah. But many people have a soft palate and that causes a lot of the snoring.
Starting point is 00:51:23 It's non-surgical. It's pain free. Again, you can handle it, though. If there was pain involved. Yes, right. Be no problem. There is a, but there is none in this case.
Starting point is 00:51:32 There's like a topical kind of a numbing agent that they put on there. But two 50-minute treatments at outdoor dental and your snoring will be taken care of. And, you know, when you're out on the range, sleeping under the stars with your head on the saddle. You're not going to keep the other cow pokes awake if you're snoring. When you're on the road in San Antonio. That's right. Down in San Antonio,
Starting point is 00:51:56 you're not going to be keeping all the other farm hands awake with your snoring. At the bunkhouse? You got a lot of guys in that. There's not a lot of room. You don't own the ranch. You're in the bunk house. No need is, no drills,
Starting point is 00:52:08 no stress. You're not a guy to be on the internet. I can tell by looking at you. Somebody will help you. We'll get one of your assistants. They're outdoor dot dental. It's a website. Right.
Starting point is 00:52:18 They'll set it up for you. And they'll take care of the rest. It was an awkward press cover. See what I mean, Rhett? There's the jaw, the jaw line. That beak would suggest he's thrown hands a time or two. That guy's been dealt with an uasis. One more than he lost.
Starting point is 00:52:40 And that's Stash. If you were, I mean, look at him. That's an intimidating dude. I got a lot of time for Trent call. I'll tell you right now. I'd be working harder in practice. I would. Right.
Starting point is 00:52:52 Don't piss him off. I'm first in line, sir. You know what he'll do? He'll brand you. He'll take you out back. See that flaming sea? They got a brand out back. They'll put it in the.
Starting point is 00:53:06 Out by the Zamboni entrance. Throw that in the red embers for 20 minutes. And away you go. Damn. Ah, he's a good guy. Not much of a score. No, he's coached. Trent?
Starting point is 00:53:19 Are you taking runs and Trent call? Anytime we bring up a coach or someone in the floor? It's all these backhanded staves at him. I loved it. I saw a clip, you know, in the video, there was a short little blurb. I noticed a man with a beautiful stash. Oh, oh, who's that?
Starting point is 00:53:36 I think he does some of this? It's hard not. Does he give it? If it gets any longer, he's going to have to have some wax on him at all times. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Anyway, outdoor, That's what that was. And we're sorry, Dr. Jay. And just to clarify, Trent Call is not killing the man.
Starting point is 00:54:00 We don't think. We're just, we're, you know, we're just, you know, happens. Has it, but imagine if he did. Yeah. Guessing he could easily if he wanted to. But to our knowledge, to this point has not. All the players still accounted for. chooses not to.
Starting point is 00:54:20 Yeah. by choice only. With great power comes great responsibility. Yeah, let's do the, let's do the Pinder report, shall we? We're ready for one? Let's go get it. So this is the last Pinder report
Starting point is 00:54:32 with Pinder for the foreseeable future. It's been nice working with you guys. And I always get ripped for not doing a good enough job when you're away. So enjoy it. Get all your alligator and... This is for the last one.
Starting point is 00:54:48 You should have got extra reptiles. God damn it. snake and egg eating goodness. I got a kicker for you today, dude. Great. I can't wait for that. Let's do the Pind Report. It's a presentation of Village Honda.
Starting point is 00:55:06 They've got the new in-stock inventory. They've got some demo models that are still kicking around. The 2024 is that they got to get out of there and make room for the 25s. The Redesigned, the Civic was redesigned a year, I guess a couple of years ago. continues to lead the way in value, reliability, and performance. The Honda Accord, the number one mid-sized sedan, according to car and driver magazine. It's the best of the best when it comes to Honda. They're located at the Northwest Auto Mall.
Starting point is 00:55:32 And again, we talked about it, I guess, last week on the go to their website. If you're looking to sell your vehicle, they will pay cash for your used vehicle and a trip to Las Vegas. Not too shabby. Village Honda, Northwest Automal, your dealership for Life presents. Rampin' up. The Pender Report. Thank you, fellas. Let's start with Cogby Flames.
Starting point is 00:55:55 Pike Bomb, Pike Bomb. It's a Pike Bomb. Before we get to the main camp news today, let's look back to the weekend, the long weekend, six Flames prospects who impressed at the Young Stars classic. Ryan Pike deciding not to bury a body
Starting point is 00:56:08 like Dean and Rhett this morning and instead highlighting some nice performance. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. Good read on Flames Nation.ca. The youngest team by quite a stretch in the tournament, the eight first rounders selected in Vegas at the tournament.
Starting point is 00:56:22 That's more than many of these teams combined had picks at the Vegas draft. So a good showing for the young flames at the tournament. They finished with a one win, one loss and one overtime setback. And yeah, yeah, I think their top players showed what they're good at and also showed that, you know, they're still not NHELors because otherwise we wouldn't be coming to young stars. It wasn't exactly the math that you could chuck, take the world by storm, threatened to kill Lemieux's kid,
Starting point is 00:56:48 and in sight like 15 riots. It was not that kind of a performance room. But you could see the skill and what made guys special. More on the website for that. To Main Camp, opening today. Ret, vomiting's done. You got a hangover.
Starting point is 00:57:01 First skate. Three groups. Here is group one. Zeri, Backland, Coleman. Don't be surprised if that's a line they see works and stick together. What about a man, Japan? I thought he was always on that line.
Starting point is 00:57:14 I think he's playing with Ovi. Oh, Sharon Govich, Cadrian Kuzmenko, another NHL line. And then I don't know how to feel about this third line here, fellas, because I certainly think one of those guys is an NHLR, I hope. We've talked about the big years developmentally for certain players, be it Hansa and Pelche and others. Matt Coronado needs a new deal at the end of this year.
Starting point is 00:57:35 I'm sure he'd love to carve out a role in the top nine and get paid. As opposed to, you know, not being eligible for waivers and being sent down. Big camp for Coronado. if they get no crunch. Do you know? Yep. Love it. We'll see what the lines are for the next groups,
Starting point is 00:57:57 but don't be surprised if you've got Mantha with Pospisole and Huberto. That was bandied a boat by Huska in Penticton. And we'll see where the likes of Lombard, Pelche, Rooney, and Doer fit into this group as well. Last couple pieces of paperwork, after announcing both Soloviev of and the other unsigned cavalry flame
Starting point is 00:58:19 Cole Schwint on the rosters. It was soon followed by another press release from the flame saying both had signed. Yeah, you can try to hold up for a little more money, but you don't want to miss camp kids as the two flames farmhands last year
Starting point is 00:58:33 have new deals. Slovia, he's kind of a surprise that in Canada. What, sixth seventh rounder, Bell Russian, right shot D, big body. Left shot D, but well, at the picture, though. You're right. He is.
Starting point is 00:58:48 You sure. He's the right side. Why else are you playing the right side? I don't know off the top of my head. I'm just, if that's him. Absolutely. A left shot.
Starting point is 00:58:55 Some guys, but they'll flip their stick on that, right? On that, he's on the pubbians. He can do it both ways. Yeah. And Schwint also up at the end of last year when they ran out of bodies.
Starting point is 00:59:04 He does shoot left. Oh, damn. Nice, Pender. That would have been one of my favorite clips if you'd have been like, well, no, he's,
Starting point is 00:59:11 no, he's not always. He's right on. He's right on. playing the right side rat stupid right come on thanks well no you clearly you can see that go to the games rat players watch the games red
Starting point is 00:59:23 chirping from the peanut gallery warner like just get involved did you even go to a game work more harder red you watch these games shoots left okay anyway gladys son adjust my depth charts here
Starting point is 00:59:39 now to the controversial bobby germany take of the day oh here Flames Nation.C.A. The Calgary Flames are going to be better than the hockey world expects this season. That posted early this morning. Rett's taking his headphones off. And nice to see you, Rhett. He's gone. Dean, we lost Red. This is amazing. And you can see the opening paragraph. Yeah, the Foley gone, Lindholm gone, Madjapani gone, Hanifan gone, Tana have gone, Zedora of gone, Markstrom gone. Yeah, that's sure does feel like a rebuild, doesn't it? But if you want more, Bobby Germany is going to lay out why they're going to surprise.
Starting point is 01:00:20 I got to go read this. I mean, where can you read it? I mean, where are you going to be able to find that? What kind of website would have that kind of article? I got to get the internet some. You're in on the phone yet?
Starting point is 01:00:28 Yeah. Tell, let the track. Flames, yeah, one of the boys in the bunk house will have the internet figured out. He won't know how to do it. The,
Starting point is 01:00:38 interesting thing is that, well, what are the expectations of the hockey world? That's the thing. Or make the playoffs or bottom five. Well, there's one way to look at it, Dean. Sports books don't cheer. They just balance money and expectations from the hockey world.
Starting point is 01:00:53 Yeah. Plus 290 to make the playoffs to the Calgary Flames. If you're looking on bet 365, minus 390 to miss. So there's a bit of a nice little spread there that the book can take some money on. But plus 290 is a implied 25.6% probability. So a one in four chance of making the. playoffs. Does that sound about right to you guys? A little high, a little low. I hadn't really gone to that, to that part. It's just, do you think they're going to make the
Starting point is 01:01:32 playoffs? No. I don't, I don't know, I don't think they're going to make the playoffs. Whether that meant 40 or 25 or 26.9 or whatever, because 26.9 is low, right? That's, uh yeah as low as anaheim 25.6 that would be about a quarter of the time you would get the playoffs with this roster that does feel a little high for me i don't know now listen we don't know what they have in that we don't know a lot of uh that's a good point of the new people like what's Kevin ball i don't know all is tall tall ball's tall is tall is that all we'll find out y'all uh so you know we'll see all these go i i sort of understand the concept of this could be Oh my God.
Starting point is 01:02:14 Well deserved. This could be a hardworking plucky fun team that you'll bring some young guys in and guys play well. Or they could be a brunt or grumpy old pricks. There's that too. Plucky. What about Tulesy? Not very Tulesy. He just said the camp was good.
Starting point is 01:02:32 Lots of skill. That's Tulesy. Those guys aren't on this team. When Zane Perrick and Andrew Basha and Matt Vigridden and 100% of Tulesy and they'll be Tulesy. In time. Toolsy and time. Bullsy time. You want to tell me about Dryden Hunt's tools?
Starting point is 01:02:48 Because you were the one sticking up for Dryden Hunt last year. Yeah, but you got a little run there. It's as good as Dryden Hunt could ever be. That was awesome. Great job. There's a good. Longberg. Different kinds of tools.
Starting point is 01:02:59 I don't know, though. I mean, I guess if you were trying to sell the flames as a good team, I think you'd have to have good goaltending and a revitalized Jonathan Huberto. Would that be the start for you, fellas? Or is it just like, yeah, that's so far fetched. I don't know where. The flames to be a good team, I think every question mark would have to be a home run. Right.
Starting point is 01:03:19 Like, okay, goaltending. Yeah, Wolf had 10 shutouts. Okay. Hubertoe. Cuberto had 100 points. Power play was 25%. The defense ball is a north. Shut down.
Starting point is 01:03:32 And here's the thing. It wasn't like they didn't get great years from guys last year. Nazim flirted with 30, Coleman career high 30, Sharon Govich career high. Kuzmkoz. started scoring like he did his rookie year when he got to Calgary. Your goaltender was top five and goals save above expected. You had 20 goals from McKenzie Weger.
Starting point is 01:03:51 A lot went right last year, fellas, and they still were nine-th- Were they slaughtered with injuries last year? No. Oh, damn. They were healthy. I mean, Peltje, but, yeah, like, very healthy. So I don't know. It's certainly worth the time to read.
Starting point is 01:04:07 Yeah. That's us. Real nice. Ryan. You're welcome, dude. Dick. Well, we are so back, fellas. You know how I know?
Starting point is 01:04:16 Because I swear I just saw a ghost. We know it's training camp. When the other Tannav does this. A time honored tradition. Brandon Tannav has arrived at training camp, fellas. Hockey is back. The world is healing. Is it all done now?
Starting point is 01:04:34 Done with us? Well, I'm kind of asking because did you do it first in Pittsburgh? He's done it everywhere every year. I don't know if he cares if it's a thing or not. This is just what he does. does and I'm I'm here for it. I think it's just keep doing fine. Tanna.
Starting point is 01:04:47 Sure. I'm not going to. I'm not going to praise you for it, but you have fun with it. Yeah. Yeah. You, buddy.
Starting point is 01:04:53 They had him on one of the American broadcasts, maybe ESPN or TNT where they flames cracking, meet at center ice, miced up the brothers like this would be great. They're brothers. There are different teams. Like, you know,
Starting point is 01:05:05 like the Kachucks, we'll do it with the Teneves. And they went down there. It was like, one word answers. Oof. Yeah. Boy, this is like,
Starting point is 01:05:10 fishing. You guys are brothers. right? What kind of vantics did you get up when you were younger? We like to play a hockey growing up. We played road hockey a fair bit. And in the winter we'd play Shini on the ice.
Starting point is 01:05:25 Okay. Let's go back to Anson Carter. Hey, Ace, what's happening? So who would you, so if you were, it's okay, you wrote hot. So who would you be and who would you be? Well, I'd be like a forward and he'd be a defense. Well, no, like your favorite players, like, who did you?
Starting point is 01:05:43 he liked Kerry Callie. I don't really remember. Who did you like? I didn't know he liked him. Drewski is pretty good. I don't play like him, though. All right. Where's Bissonette and Wayne?
Starting point is 01:06:04 Hey, another sign hockey's back. Yarmie Hacker picked up an apple today. Nice. That a boy. Watch yags down low here. There's the eggs in the corner. Oh, there is. Down goal line.
Starting point is 01:06:18 Secondary helper boys, Platno in the Czech League. You just, yeah. How old is he 1,000? This is Methuselow. Gio, what's your excuse? This guy still going on. Gio could play in the Czech league.
Starting point is 01:06:33 But that's right. Who loves it and who doesn't? I don't know who loves it. Who financially has to do this to keep his team in the top division? Also a question that's asked. Hey, do we sell more tickets of the Yags? You're goddamn right we do. What would happen without it?
Starting point is 01:06:51 We'd probably follow the second division and lose our TV money. Okay. Yager, we need you to play you own this team. It's worth shit if you're not on. Starting to hurt, fellows. NFL, we had some, do you miss Jason Kelsey? Are you feel like you're now even getting to know Jason Kelsey more now that he's retired? Jason Kelsey is the better Kelsey.
Starting point is 01:07:12 At this way. Yeah. Right now he is, yeah. He's okay. But this is awesome. That's a terrific. PEP rally.
Starting point is 01:07:31 I'm in Philly. He's doing the ESPN game, right? So ESPN's in Philly. I'm on Monday night football last week. I don't see Joe Buck doing this kind of thing. Come on, Buck. I did not have big man dancing like that. I don't see Troy Aikman going out and doing that when they're in Dallas.
Starting point is 01:07:53 Everybody loves the Kelsey's. Their podcast sold for $100 million or whatever it is. They got endorsement deals out the yinger. I got a lot of time for Jason Kelsey. Dig them. And that is, I'll tell you what, his body can't be hurting too bad post career. Those are great moves. Ian Barry Sanders.
Starting point is 01:08:13 Still young. Leaving in the prime, huh? Million dollar baby. looks like Pinder at the parrot on Saturday night. I'm doing it. Just a high kicking. Some high kicking in those things. Two high kicks.
Starting point is 01:08:25 That's it. Thoughts and prayers to Tua Cup, Bacheco, fantasy owners, crazy. And oh yeah, the Giants still suck. Look at that.
Starting point is 01:08:33 Three touchdowns. Didn't allow one. They lost. Seven field goals allowed to a guy off the street. Is it Austin Cyber? Just a cyborg? What are you doing here?
Starting point is 01:08:43 Gosh. Yeah. Football picks coming up today. Get ready for those. buckle up. Well, you'd make a lot of money if you went against our picks, fellows, I'm telling you. Start locking that in. I wasn't good. We'll find out. Stamp Peters, boy, nothing gets people fired up like a race for third place. Now, if we beat the rugby, Winnipeg's beats the Elks, then third place, 10 and an F,
Starting point is 01:09:08 wins, who in 14 games. Whoa, that's like a throw marketing campaign. Somebody put an X on my team. Million dada, baby. I was, somebody reached out to me about attending this this game on Friday night. Right? And what excuse did you come up with?
Starting point is 01:09:30 And I said yes. What? And then the shoveler looked at her weather app. Ooh. Yeah, high of 13. Yeah. That's so weird in Canada in the fall that.
Starting point is 01:09:45 87% chance of rain. Yeah. Sorry. And also another factor was this conversation I had with Rhett that goes as such. Do we have access to stamps tickets? If you have access to your wallet you do, otherwise no. You're the worst. I mean, he's just the worst.
Starting point is 01:10:07 You hear nothing from him unless he needs tickets. Me? I admit him. Anybody got it, got it this guy. number so I can get some free stuff. I need, uh, who's got this number? Because I'm looking for some, uh, free. You're paying for tickets?
Starting point is 01:10:24 I never said I was going. He's not going to the dump. If you had free tickets, would it make it more or less likely? It would be of no consequence whatsoever. At least I'm a supporter of the squad. You are. Good for you. No, you're supporting the riders.
Starting point is 01:10:40 Well, you know what? Here's the thing. Either way, I'll be buying popcorn and beer and I'll be. you got Greg Keller's tailgate eating all of his smoked meats like I'm there all soggy and wet. I'm in. So you're going? No. I'm supporting the team.
Starting point is 01:10:59 You'd be cheering for the rice. Yeah, I know, but I'd be doing this. Are you going? No, I'm not going. No. It's cold. Soft. You know what?
Starting point is 01:11:07 Here's been my thing. Since we have not had Dave Dickinson, I've not gone. Because you used to go all the time. I'm a Dickinson guy Dave you used to go all the time I'm a Dave Dickinson guy Me too They're down one
Starting point is 01:11:23 I'm a Corey Mace guy I'm a Corey Mace guy too Why don't we have him on? I don't like this Them being good I don't like it Are they good? I'm they lost like six in a row Command Center helped them along
Starting point is 01:11:36 But they had a good start They have been screwed over Again any team I cheer for You're like screw me over Somebody somewhere Upper management not management, but at league office, screw you. So everyone's on the game.
Starting point is 01:11:50 So the commissioner of the CFL Redd, of course, is. Yes. Because he's screwing you. Yeah, Robbie Scurlack. Robbie Scurlock is screwing you. Oh, son of. Rob Skidari did what to. You like watermelons?
Starting point is 01:12:08 Love them. Stan Peters players. Don't like watermelons. Well, you know what weak it is. Look at this. Hey, let's smash the morning buns on Friday. Oh, dear. Oh, no.
Starting point is 01:12:24 Oh, geez. Oh, sweet. Oh, look at this. Out of there. You know, you're going to support the team on Friday? That is classless. I'll tell you what, though. Don't you comment.
Starting point is 01:12:44 You'll end up in shit again. I heard that the riders are very intimidated. quiet. They showed the video in the locker room. No. Does Bolton board material then? Damn. They're smashing water mills. Calvary FC
Starting point is 01:13:00 on the road this week. Was it going to go to that game too and forgot. Cavalry. If you can get me a sweet, I'll go for you. Get me a sweet. York will host them on Friday. If you can get me a suite, I'll go. We really need you. Here's
Starting point is 01:13:16 a suite. They will host Vancouver as the sacrifices never end ladies and gentlemen. Saturday at five. Then off to Pacific and we'll host Halifax on the 12th final game on the road in Winnipeg. If any of these road teams want to give Redis suite and pay for his ticket and a hotel and provide per diem for meals, he might go to Halifax. I would definitely go to the suite if Tommy wanted to hook me up for the top of the table. Look at it. Fourth and the table.
Starting point is 01:13:45 But three points for seconds. three points from second. Too many draws, Dean. Too many draws. Look at the loss column. Nobody has lost less than Calvary. Four losses all year. The best.
Starting point is 01:13:57 Top of the table for least losses. That is right. Top of, like I said. And top of the table for most draws. Oh. Hmm. Oh. So that's a look at the calves on the road this weekend back next.
Starting point is 01:14:11 Let's get to St. Million dollar baby. Was Kelsey's thing not done? Is it? That's kind of fun. Rets been working on this new bike trip. I don't know what neighborhood this is in, but it's got tons of hills. So probably somewhere just north of the river.
Starting point is 01:14:28 Where are you there? Hillerville. The little has got hills. Look at this. Oh. How is this going to end? No. How possibly could it end?
Starting point is 01:14:38 I don't know how you stop that. What are we doing here? And yet he seems. He's committed. Blows the stop sign. No big deal. Now he's flexing. What are we doing here? So what do you earn for this?
Starting point is 01:14:52 Is this a beyond the massive fame on the Pender report? I really don't know. I was going to say it's worldwide coverage on Barnburner. Notoriety. It's like the Tour de France, right? Like these people are highly paid. We'd never show that way bigger. Jack, is that you?
Starting point is 01:15:12 No, that is certainly not me. You've got that kind of talent though, don't you? No. I don't like the idea of no break. Never mind the whole. I don't like going through the intersection. Yeah, I think he's got to have people protecting it. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:15:23 I don't want to. It seems like something Jack and his buddies to do for me. I still want to see the ending. It had to end. I don't know. Seems like he was fine. Seems fine. Let's get some gator content for him going down under.
Starting point is 01:15:35 Well, are we here, mate? What we got for gaiters? This is going to be great because he's going to Australia for a month. I'll just send you some videos. So I bet when he comes back, there will be less Aussie content. I'll love it out of my system. He will have had his fill. Now, these are people in Rett's future on Florida.
Starting point is 01:15:52 You're going to swim underwater and go ahead and surprise that what are we doing? What are we doing? I love it. That one was good. Dad's so cool. Hey, like, right when you look down there and so you follow the crowd. That is some kind of thing. Do you know, that was you in Mexico in summer?
Starting point is 01:16:11 That's right. Kids are so, what a, my dad is so cool. Do you get parched when you sleep at night? You ever just wake up, God, I'm thirsty. Oh, you leave something by the bed? So I like to get a big cup with lots of ice in it. So if I wake up in the middle of the night, still nice and cold. You would do that, man?
Starting point is 01:16:28 Or you like the warm water? I can see what this is labeled. My dad always said that when he was growing up, he'd put a glass of water by his bed and it would be frozen over. Wow. Back in the day. Prince in the sand of time. No heat. So one of the keys is to just leave some water by the bed.
Starting point is 01:16:44 There's no problem. Not right. What? Look at that. See? Oh dear. I don't endorse drinking your goldfish water. That's the Pinder Report.
Starting point is 01:16:59 Thursday. Get a camera out and be disgusting is the path to stardom. The path to stardom. Look if this made the Pinder report. Dating. Bedside table. Leave yourself a drink. Otherwise you could be forced into a really difficult spot.
Starting point is 01:17:18 I'm with you. You, Dean, you're better than that, Pender. Let's go. It's like somewhere in his head, there's a meter. It's like, yep, no, yep, no, yeah. He looked at that one. Yep. Oh, hell yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:17:28 Yeah, I wish you didn't see the clip label. I don't like you snooping in the file. What, fish water? I'm not snooping in the file. It's just on my screen. It's got great eyes, great hearing. He doesn't snore. He'll come back to Jack.
Starting point is 01:17:41 Jack, you're, he's still love. You're part of this. Yeah, I mean, it's gone a little better. I used to have like 15 dumb things. I tended up to 3. What a resound. Hey, like what a measurement system we have. Yes.
Starting point is 01:17:57 As far as content. I mean, this guy's a little better. People in the comments, they want the jack kangaroos. They want gators. The people want the Pinda report for Village Honda. If you're going to go down there, I want you to get involved with these animals. Oh, yeah. I want you to fight a kangaroo.
Starting point is 01:18:16 No, you want me to die. No, I don't. You want a trend. No. for the outcome is. You want to rue with Trent calls mustache to kill her with his bare hands. You think the fellas at jackass
Starting point is 01:18:26 were worried about their health and safety or were they were helping the show get better? They were working for the show. They were commit. Well, right. All right. That's what I think you should shark bait yourself. You guys have raised the bar to the point
Starting point is 01:18:41 where I now have to commit myself to the show to the point of fighting a huge rue. Okay. And if that kangaroo happens to, you know, with a koala. Mammy, no big deal. slice open your innards. That's a price we're willing to pay.
Starting point is 01:18:54 No one's asked the question. I'm starting to see it in the comments, though. Australia. Australia. I was going to ask, but it hurts. Are you going to see them? No plans yet. Different part of the country.
Starting point is 01:19:12 You go to Melbourne? Is it a country? Melbourne. It's both, Dean. Take that. Well, it is. It is. Hey, like how?
Starting point is 01:19:21 Australia and Oceania is like the continent and Australia is kind of Australia. Get over yourself. We're a country and a continent. Wait till he hears about Washington in the USA. The Vatican's a weird one too. That's a country and a country. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:19:39 This show is amazing. So much info, so much to be learned every single day from. The nice thing is it's not limited to one slice of life. Yeah. Right? broad. Who? Broaden.
Starting point is 01:19:56 Yeah. You'll learn about that and this and all. They talk about the flames, yeah, and hockey, yeah, sports, yeah. So what is the show? Pie? What is it they do? And I saw that thing with the guy that went over his handlebars over the cliff. What was that part of the show?
Starting point is 01:20:15 Village Honda presents the Pinder Report. Huge selection of used vehicles, all makes, all models. If they don't have what you like, they will find it for you. part of the Wood Automotive Group. And they've got great coffee. We've talked about to go there, have a coffee, have a little sit down, have a visit with the great sales staff. I was in there a couple weeks ago.
Starting point is 01:20:31 I think I was telling you it was jumping in there. And the staff that they have, just the best. Everyone's taken care of. They do the Kelsey dance anytime you walk in. That's right. You sell a car. You got to do the Kelsey dance. Everyone's shaking in there.
Starting point is 01:20:47 Yeah. Some places they'll ring a bell or have this kind of a thing. There they crank up the tunes and start doing the, start doing the Kelsey dance. Was it a million dollar baby? That's not a million dollar baby. We're going to do our football picks in a minute. It's been a bad start.
Starting point is 01:21:06 It's the year. It's been a bad start. Great start for opposite George. A couple of things I wanted to say that we were in Penticton. Once again, big thanks to our presenting sponsors of the trip. Professional skate service, 1070, 42nd Avenue Southeast. They are the very best. Bauer, CCM, Warrior, true.
Starting point is 01:21:24 Easton, Bryan's. I mean, it's all there. It is a brand new location. You've heard us talking over and over about it, but if you haven't been, you got to go and check it out. They are, and it's Calgary. Again, we talked about McLeod Law,
Starting point is 01:21:35 Calgary people, Calgary based, Calgary Roots. Since 1972, pro skate has been an institution in this city. They're not, they're not going anywhere. They're serving Calgary families since 1972, and now they can do it better than they ever have because of that beautiful new store. PSScalgary.corg.com.
Starting point is 01:21:53 and Crystal Waters, plumbing and heating. Residential plumbing and heating, cooling services, there's nothing worse than something goes sideways in your house, and then you're scrambling. Well, how come this is, well, you got, can you get this? Can you get somebody to come in? I don't know who to call.
Starting point is 01:22:09 I don't know who to get. Crystal Waters is your crystal clear choice for home comfort. And Barnburner customers, it's going to say customers, you know, our people, our buddies. You get great promotional offers from, and maybe discounts on equipment, extended warranties perhaps, flexible payment options.
Starting point is 01:22:29 Crystal Waters is on board with Barnburner and they're on board for you. Crystal clearcalcalkyrie.com 403-219, 4100. Again, if the hot water tank has decided, today's the day. You didn't know it, but today's the day. I'm down here.
Starting point is 01:22:49 You leave me alone. You don't pay any attention to me. You don't even think about me. today's the day you're going to think about me, you, you son of a gun, because I got them coming over to look at the mechanical room. Not just talking, we're putting our money. And
Starting point is 01:23:03 winter's coming. Yes. You're going to want that, you're going to want that furnace working, don't you? Right? You're not going to start. Or you're going to end up with your water freezing over by your bed. Exactly. Like, yeah, like, like does too.
Starting point is 01:23:20 Prince of time, sand. 403, 203, 21, 4,100, crystal clear, Calgary.com is the website. They are going to take care of you. Good, good partners with Barnberger. Now, you said, yeah, it was not Stu. It was Doug. How's Stu doing? Stu's good. Is he? It was good. Stu is in, uh, Sylvan Lake. What? Moved. Made the move. Come on. Oh, we need that guy in the show. We can get Stu on. Uncle Stu. Rett's Uncle Stu. There's only one. Drunkle. They were up north fishing last weekend,
Starting point is 01:23:50 so he'll be in tough shape this week. Yeah. Oh, he's sitting around fishing, eh? it's just fishing. Yeah. But the boats away. Sure. Cold up there. Yeah. It's cold.
Starting point is 01:24:08 Hockey season. Were you here right when we told you about the new news for Viena Nova, the big move? I don't know if you're on that show. I think I was. Are you ready for it? Well, I'm sitting down. Moving to Market Mall. Oh, brand new store, brand new location.
Starting point is 01:24:29 more room, more space, chances are going to be a little bit more convenient for customers if maybe getting into Bankers Hall wasn't quite the setup you needed. Market Mall, November 1, Viena Nova wants to thank the Barn burner community again for the continued support.
Starting point is 01:24:45 I'm not saying that they're expanding and things are growing because of Barnburner, but maybe there's a little bit of Burruder bump, the BBB, maybe, I'm not saying. But in the meantime, and in between time, The moving sale is on at the bankers hall location, 20 to 70% off everything in store. Second level of Stephen Avenue place.
Starting point is 01:25:08 Now, you've heard, again, you've heard us talk about a Vinova. Well, this and that's lab grown diamonds. The savings are huge. The quality is in many cases superior to mine diamonds. There makes no sense to be buying mine diamonds anymore when the lab grown are at the, to the extent that they are. lab grown, they got loose, grown, lab grown diamonds.
Starting point is 01:25:32 We, the one I live with and I, we actually went in and it's like, you know, what if we wanted to come up with our own kind of like design something? Would you help? My wife wanted something special for something? Well, of course we can. So then I go and eat a sub and they sit down. Perfect. And so this type of a cut and this type of size and this is the kind of colors and all this.
Starting point is 01:25:53 They are the very best. Vinova, brand new location, November 1st. Vinova.com, but the sale on now, second level of Stephen Avenue place. Awesome. Happy for, happy for all of them. Happy for Justin.
Starting point is 01:26:08 That's a big move. It's a big one. What are we going to do to get right here? Because it's NFL season. We need to get back into our regular routine. We're picking Sunday games on Thursday. It's week one on my bet, 365 app. It was like that.
Starting point is 01:26:37 Had a good week one. Week two. Like that. It was not good. And this is away from the show. Of course, we make our show picks. But then the nice thing about it is, unlike the way we do it,
Starting point is 01:26:51 Sunday morning, it's game day. You can go on to the app and see what the, oh, well, what's happening? Well, now I know is this running back playing. Is this receiver playing? Are these guys? And what's the weather? That sort of thing. What's the weather like today?
Starting point is 01:27:02 Like today, like today. Like today. was the weather like today and it's been. Bet365. It's the world's largest sports betting platform. Get the app.
Starting point is 01:27:12 It is awesome. Open an account with Bet365 today on the app. Use that code. FN bonus. FN bonus. When you sign up, FN like Flames Nation.
Starting point is 01:27:25 FN bonus. When you sign up and open that account, whatever the sport, whatever the moment, it's never ordinary at Bet365. So here's a,
Starting point is 01:27:35 So we're two weeks in. We pick three games every week. I don't know why it's three. Sometimes you're forced to pick another. Oh, boy. Wow. Mother. Mother.
Starting point is 01:27:48 It's not great. You know who's screwing me, boys? The Houston Texas. Damn it. What? A point in a half. And I would be four and two. Stinking Texans.
Starting point is 01:27:58 Again, the spinning of, remember when I, that guy that Hansa, because he deceives you to go, then bring. but there's Pinders take against back and four. The Texan screwing.
Starting point is 01:28:08 If only, backdoor covers, both games. You're two and four. I'm two and four. You can try and promote yourself as a four and two. I'm mad at,
Starting point is 01:28:19 CJ Stroud. That's what it is. This is the toughest start I've ever had. This is a bad run. That's Pinder last year. That's a tough hole to dig out of Dean D. It is. Yeah,
Starting point is 01:28:31 I need some. A couple of heater weeks. You know what it is? It's just like, I'm just going to have to, just going to have to dig a little bit deeper. Maybe more games. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 01:28:39 Yeah. Maybe I just got to do more. I know what I'm good to do. What are you going to do? I want to go first. I want to go first. I want to go first. No.
Starting point is 01:28:49 What? When times are tough, who do you rely on? Your buddies. Your buddies, your friends. You rely on your friends and they're brilliance. What? At least two out of three friends you rely on for guidance. Jack's your friend, but I'm not your friend.
Starting point is 01:29:05 Jack. is not an idiot. Yes, Jack is my friend. Pittsburgh Steelers minus one and a half. Let's go. Plus one and a half. And I'm a great friend to myself. I support myself.
Starting point is 01:29:18 I'm a big believer. Go bills go. Three and O to start the year minus five. He's a big friend of himself and he hates me. Jack's his friend. Well, one of the teams is playing your team. So I ended up pick one of the others.
Starting point is 01:29:32 Yeah. So if you don't want terrible picks, from Dean, you take mine. I can't even say anything because my pick. It's been so bad. I don't know how it's gotten to that point. No. One, five.
Starting point is 01:29:45 Mother. It's Thursday. I'll get right. Here's my picks. Here's my three, three Paco picks. It's the Packers at the Titans. Just know this.
Starting point is 01:29:58 Levis is terrible. All right. So you can have great receivers. You can have a lot of good things. When your quarterback is, is throwing the other team touchdowns. Yeah. It's going to be tough.
Starting point is 01:30:10 And the Packers, they won last week. They got a good run game. They've got capable receivers, no less. Plus getting a point in a half in Tennessee, I'm going to take the point in a half with the Packers. The Saints,
Starting point is 01:30:26 they've been unbelievable through two weeks. Story of the season. Unbelievable. And I don't know. We saw what happened to the Eagles. They probably should have. won that football game the other night, but didn't as they got Kurt cousined at the very end of the, uh, yeah, I'm going to go with the Saints. They're at home, less than a field goal against
Starting point is 01:30:47 the Eagles. They've been real good. Give me the Saints minus two and a half. And the Cowboys, they got bludgeoned. I think it's a bounce back spot. Ravens, the only thing I worry about here is Ravens row two. If they go, oh, three. Yeah. It's a big spot for the Ravens. It's kind of a must win. But I do think the Cowboys are good. They're getting a point at home. I'll go with the Cowboys. Although the more I talk about it, I feel like it should be a Ravens pick.
Starting point is 01:31:11 It wouldn't be the worst time to do an opposite Georgia, but we can't allow you due to a RET, which is to select both teams and then claim the win no matter what happens. Okay. So can I be on? I'll be very clear and say I'm going to take the Ravens. Minus one. That is your selection?
Starting point is 01:31:28 In Dallas, though. A final answer? Is that your final answer? You're going to lock that in? Let's talk about, can we talk amongst the group, Jack? I want you involved in here. I have the exact same feelings as you, Dean. I like to bounce back spot, but the Ravens are 0 and two and they're too good to go on through.
Starting point is 01:31:42 It's a tough one. I just want to talk it out. It's right? You want to do group picks. Let's do group picks. These are your kids. I'm not talking about group picks. I'm talking about, again.
Starting point is 01:31:53 This is exactly what you're talking. You just said you want the group to wait. Listen, it's about buddies. I'm talking to my buddies right now. You know what? Get rid of the bear. his pick two then oh here we go jeez he's just
Starting point is 01:32:07 he's just locking his picks in red he's just locking him in let him talk the cowboys d is supposed to be really good what happened last week is that like is that an anomaly well they got embarrassed jack yeah i don't know derrick car looked really good for what it's worth i'm on the ravens and i hate the ravens
Starting point is 01:32:28 yeah they can't go o three That's the thing. Ravens minus one. Change my pick. Final answer. Saints, Packers.
Starting point is 01:32:41 Sorry. Saints, Packers, Ravens, final answer. So Dean's going with two picks and one of Jacks.
Starting point is 01:32:49 Well, in fairness, I was, it doesn't matter how you get to your picks. It doesn't matter how you arrive at them. Those are his picks. Uh, okay.
Starting point is 01:32:57 I really like Buffalo. They are much better than Jacksonville, who's been utterly disappointing. I feel like the bills can blow people out by a touchdown or more if they're not good. And that's what Monday night looks like. Are we okay with a Monday game, Dean? Wings? You guys want to get together?
Starting point is 01:33:10 Oh, you're out of time. Green Bay was two points. That's moved to one and a half. I'm still keen. I'm kind of with Dean. Tennessee has shot themselves in the foot. And Malik Willis proved he didn't. And there's even talk that Jordan Love might be ready to go as soon as this
Starting point is 01:33:24 weekend, although it's more likely it'll be next weekend. And I'm just not seeing anything of the Bears' offense. I think it's a really good defense. But Dean. Is Caleb Williams going to throw a touchdown? Because he hasn't yet. And I'll take the Colts to win there with Tony Rich. Anthony Richardson.
Starting point is 01:33:42 Pinder being a D-Beg, least surprising development ever. Thanks a lot. Just being consistent. I would hate to throw you off the scent. I know. Colts minus one and a half, bills minus five. Packers plus one and a half. Please God allow me to be better than one and two.
Starting point is 01:33:57 Is Ozzie rules on right now? I got to see what's going on there. I'll say this, retro. that bills minus five that feels like free money the jags have been terrible didn't they come out early against the dolphins and look like they were going to win and then they should have won etienne fumbled the the ball into the end zone and screwed them well and the bills if you erase the awful first what quarter and a half against a Arizona they've just steamrolled since then no it's the bills Josh allen MVP there's a show pick right there everyone's on the
Starting point is 01:34:29 bills. Oh, no. All right, Jack. I am not on the bills, but I am back on the Niners for some reason. With the injuries? The Rams.
Starting point is 01:34:42 Yeah, the Rams are so super injured, though. Two old army. No cup, no puka. I only know the McCaffrey and Dibor. Yeah, and by the way, we need to, you know, remind me,
Starting point is 01:34:54 we need to scold red after this is all done. Okay, good. Yeah. All right. So I'll take the Niners minus seven in LA. Like I said, you boom, I'm on the Ravens. I can't see them going 0 and 3, even though I'd love them to go 0 and 3. Yeah, you would.
Starting point is 01:35:08 I would just make my year. They'd be pretty much dead if you go 0 and 3. Well, that's a safe pick. Then you're not going to be upset either way. No, I'm not going to be upset. You can be Trent cold if you go home 3. The Titans are terrible. Will Levis screwed my field goal parlay last weekend.
Starting point is 01:35:23 I almost had it. And then he throws the most ridiculous interception I've ever seen. Great job. So hang on, hang on. Have you guys heard about Jackson? We need to, I need, can you send in the screen grab of that? I have this week's loaded up. So wait, wait, wait till it's done. So finish finish here.
Starting point is 01:35:39 Packers plus one and a half in Tennessee. It's my final. There you go. So you're going to scold me or have that. 365. Get the app. Sign up if you haven't already. Use the bonus, the promo code, FN bonus when you sign up for a little extra love. Whatever the sport, whatever the moment, it's never ordinary.
Starting point is 01:36:00 bet 365. Yeah, I was going to scold you, Red, because of our fantasy football. You're going to the moss pit, buddy. You started Keon Coleman last week for Thursday night football, and he had zero receptions for zero points. No fumbles. Now, when did we know, going back to last week, when did we know, you mentioned Christian McCaffrey, when did we know he was not going to play on the weekend?
Starting point is 01:36:29 he was ruled out Wednesday, Thursday? No, it wasn't. I didn't know anyway. Well, clearly you didn't because you started him as well in your fantasy. That's unacceptable behavior. Oh, I should have put Davis in? Ray Davis?
Starting point is 01:36:46 Well, it was after three more points than Christian McCaffrey. It was after Thursday because I couldn't put Davis in. So. Okay. We were in Penticton when we got the news that McAfee wasn't going to play. So Friday would make sense. but either way you still had you know Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday
Starting point is 01:37:03 to put any player instead of the guy that we knew was not going to play. Go find a running back on your league. It hurts the integrity of the league, right? Come on. It was over. It was over. I was getting stomped like by 50 points and I was, and Josh Allen had what,
Starting point is 01:37:24 nine points last Thursday? Yeah, nine. three guys that had 14 points and the first pick overall is out. Sorry. Done. So just a heads up for this week, Red, as you're putting your roster and your team together, Debo Samuel is also out. Right.
Starting point is 01:37:44 That's helpful. And hurtful. That was hurtful. That was hurtful. That was hurtful. That was hurtful. Helpful. Okay.
Starting point is 01:37:54 So now, Jack, what are you talking about? Okay. So me and my buddies are sharps. and we've caught on to something here. Yeah, yeah. For week one, every single game had over two and a half field goals besides one. Except for one. Except for one.
Starting point is 01:38:08 So we saw that and we're like, okay, week two, we're going to bet it. And it came so close. And I know it doesn't count and Pinner's going to hurt me for making parlayes. What a great shot this is. Rep, do you read this? This is a photo of an elephant's trunk. Everyone, look at this. So for people that can't see it because it's minuscule or if you're just listening, what are you showing us?
Starting point is 01:38:28 essentially this is a parlay 15 leg parlay every single game over two and a half field goals every single every single game over two and a half field goal that's ridiculous that would never win how close did you get we were one field goal away from getting it from and what and will levis did what and will levis did this third and goal second quarter if he just goes down and the the the The coach said after we missed points. We were going to kick a field goal. Yeah, if you just take the sack. If you just take the sack.
Starting point is 01:39:05 Or don't turn it over. That's $10 to $3,700. We had 12 people tailing this parlay. Oh, my God. So you hit out of the 14, you hit 14 out of the 15. Yes. And that would have been the payday right there. This would have been the payday.
Starting point is 01:39:23 You left off the Thursday night or the other 15 games. Yeah. How about it? 10 for 3,700. but we're back this week. We like it. Because again, you and your buddies are what?
Starting point is 01:39:35 You and your buddies are. You're sharps. I've been doing a little side project with Jack. He and the other sharps have nicknames for each other. Ask Jack what his nickname is amongst the sharks. It is the deposit king.
Starting point is 01:39:49 That's not a good nickname. Not when it comes to bed. Like if you're a sales guy, you know, you're bringing in. Clients or something, that's probably better. Well, yeah. So what are you not going to buy with the money you didn't win?
Starting point is 01:40:10 I don't know. I guess I lost like $10. I'm going to do it every week. It's $180 that hits once. It's a big payday. What? Now, do we have the jackometer?
Starting point is 01:40:24 Because I know we didn't talk about that. You do. You're a big Steelers guy. There was not a lot of, there was not a lot. You weren't too psyched at the start of the year. Unlike a year ago, you were totally pumped. Oh, he was. But Russ was going to cook.
Starting point is 01:40:40 Then he wasn't going to cook. And then it's Fields. And that's actually helped him. He was a five after preseason worried about Russ cooking. And he was like, let's ride. He wasn't into it. And then he's always been kind of a little more bullish on Fields. It's named week one starter.
Starting point is 01:40:55 They get a win. Week two, victorious. So we'd keep a track of the, of the roller coaster of being Jack the Steelers fan with our Jackometer. One second, it's downloading. Yeah. Okay. So, but what we need to know
Starting point is 01:41:08 is Tomlin, as he does, finds ways to win. I don't know about the level of competition that they face through two weeks. You can only play the schedule that they're given. You know, it's interesting. They are two and all. Three and O is, uh, he,
Starting point is 01:41:24 Mike Tomlin is up against another two and O team that can't pick the teams they play. They play. But five, six, seven. Look at the smile. Wow. How about it? Slow and steady.
Starting point is 01:41:39 I like how this is going so far. Yeah. And the Chargers just beat up on an awful Carolina team. Yes, they did. Don't know that Vegas is good, but everyone is riding high on the Harbaugh. It's my team against Jack's team. We've got a spicy chicken sandwich on the line of this one, fellas,
Starting point is 01:41:53 from the place down the street. If we can get in there before it goes bankrupt with the construction here, so the stakes are high. They've got curbs. outside, Dean. Sorry. Oh, wow. That's good. I was going to say you guys should do something for the show, but of course, Ryan, you're leaving town. So we will have a hot chicken sandwich bed.
Starting point is 01:42:11 She does nothing for anyone. Well, I was just going to flush it. I could do something for you. Should we have it as like maniacally hot and the losing guys to eat it? Or is it pick your temperature, the winter gets a free lunch? I think it's... I know you're going to have to admit defeat on this not being entertaining for other people, Dean, but which should we do?
Starting point is 01:42:30 I don't give a shit if it doesn't involve anybody. but you two. You got go ahead. Eat 19 of them. I don't care. I'm talking about the people that watch the show. Yeah,
Starting point is 01:42:37 they'll say we could film it. Do it on air. Sure, we could put on air. Okay, then I'm, whatever you guys want to do if it involves people being able to see it, you guys come up with whatever. Stakes are high.
Starting point is 01:42:49 I think the winner gets to choose his own level temperature and the other person. Should he not, maybe he picks to pick a sandwich of his own or he says, I'm just going to punish you. You have to the hot one. Yeah, he picks both temperatures.
Starting point is 01:43:01 That seems reason. Seems reasonable. Oh, boy. Buy one for Dean. How are you with heat? I like heat. Now the challenge has been. So does Pinder.
Starting point is 01:43:11 Pender loves heaters in Mexico. Oh, boy. And then POS started coming out of his eyeballs. Too much heat. Too good. Yeah. There's a lot of heat. There's a lot of heat.
Starting point is 01:43:26 None of this is necessary with Bet365 if you open an account. You don't need to do this stuff. don't need the hot chicken go ahead you can be more focused i'm just happy that the jackometer is on the rise it really is i'm pumped like yeah nothing like having he's giggling over there all day dean i worry though because and again i'm not trying to take away from the jackometer or jackometer 10 is as high as it goes so that would be i would think you've got to be undefeated and clearly the toast of the league that's super bowl odds on favorite Jack is three notches shy of that.
Starting point is 01:44:01 Another win. With a 2 and 0 Steelers team. Nobody thought they'd be 2 and 0 Cincinnati's 0 and 2. The Ravens don't have a win. You look around the division. Cleveland looks like dog shirt. They're one and one. Like how are you not a 7 if you're Jack?
Starting point is 01:44:14 Everything's coming up, Jack. You don't even have to watch Russ Cook. Yeah, we've completely avoided that. The division is yours to lose. It is. You're welcome. Seven. Go get it, Jack.
Starting point is 01:44:25 We won't go higher than an 8. I need to see more than 13 points. There is that. I guess that's all I'm saying is that it's a seven. But here's the thing. What if Justin Fields gets hurt and they lose to the charge? Time to cook. You're right.
Starting point is 01:44:44 There is. There's still lots of room here. It's been a steady, you know, plotting increases. It can be gone to be a hard dip with just one loss. Just because there's been small games does not mean this is not still a roller coaster. it's very early. Yeah. 16 weeks remaining.
Starting point is 01:45:01 Meanwhile, the bills. Oh, if there was a ret retometer. Us ret's jack camera. Always steady. Like, yeah,
Starting point is 01:45:09 where's your jack? Eight. Your jack chart. Yeah, what's your jackometer? Always had an eight. We believe. We take it hard,
Starting point is 01:45:19 but we bounce right back. Like even on vacation? Like even, oh, we bounce right back. We take it hard. Take the losses hard. Yeah,
Starting point is 01:45:27 yeah. And we bounce. You know, Monday. night by Tuesday morning we're back do you know where's your jackometer at with the bears it's been uh I'm like red
Starting point is 01:45:37 it's always high is that race yeah eight's always high even when he picked them wow yeah it's it's always very high yeah yeah always very high so as we bring things to a close
Starting point is 01:45:53 now cavalry FC the scoop there was we took We took a look at the, give us one more. The sked. It is on the road in Ottawa this week and then they're back home next Saturday. And Rett's like, oh,
Starting point is 01:46:06 do we get free tickets to that? Because that's what he says about everything, right? Right. Free tickets. Four losses. That's it all year. Unbelievable.
Starting point is 01:46:14 Yeah. Three points at a second. That gets you into that double knockout for the playoffs. Let's go. That hat you have on looks like one of those, like the big hats, the guys wearing football locker rooms. It's like almost that side.
Starting point is 01:46:26 Player of the game hat. I can't get it bigger, right? It's hanging on for dear life. It is a mohous of hat that you've got there. Now, can you buy those at Atco if you go to the game? Of course. This is where it's from. Great hat.
Starting point is 01:46:39 Yes, I took a buddy and he surprised me with a hat and a beer. I was like, I'm taking you again. This is great. There's a lot of sun in Australia where he's going on. It's like the pitchers with the head injuries. They've got to make the helmet that looks like the hat. Yeah. And the devil's ever.
Starting point is 01:46:58 Jersey hat that said hat. Yeah, yeah. The jersey that says jersey. Right. Yeah. So good luck to cavalry. Good luck to Tommy. Now you're off to,
Starting point is 01:47:07 uh, Swahili. What's the travel arrangements? Are we directing there? Like, are we in a pod? What are we doing? There's no pods.
Starting point is 01:47:17 Fly to Colona. Then to Flynn, flan. It's, uh, the strikes been averted. So that's, we're,
Starting point is 01:47:23 we're very thankful for that. Crisis averted. And then I would say we are, Direct to Vancouver, followed by direct to Brisbane. So that's a one stop, which is a bad. You get into Vancouver at like eight or nine at night, have a nice meal, slam a few nappy beverages, and then you take off at about midnight and you wake up and you're there. Or you wake up six hours.
Starting point is 01:47:45 You wake up the next day there. We will leave Saturday before midnight and we will be arriving Monday midmourner. It's very confusing. Sunday gone. Yeah, it's a hall. It's a hall. That way is easy. coming back's hard because it's the opposite.
Starting point is 01:47:59 You leave in the morning and you stay up the whole flight and then you arrive and it's 5 a.m. in Vancouver and you're like, my children can't handle this. Right. And so pisses their pants. You want to just leave them here? Wouldn't it be more fun to leave the kids? I've been lobbying hard for that. Apparently, oh, what?
Starting point is 01:48:13 Not so keen on that. Poor kids are just getting into a routine school, getting on a new hockey team. New team's going to be announced. You're going to miss the first practice. Ignor. Ignor. Thank you too. Yeah. Arrington. It's all this.
Starting point is 01:48:26 Ryan was gone for a few days. I don't know if you do that, Rhett. He went to Penn Tickton. Oh, for the young stars. So he was away. Yeah, I've heard of it. Yeah. There were some updates over the course of the four days as to the boys and I'll call them shenanigans.
Starting point is 01:48:43 Oh. Yeah. They're losing locker privileges, I think. Mama can't go in the boys' locker room. And they know that. And they're leaning into that. And they got candy stashes in there. and then leap it around.
Starting point is 01:48:57 And I hear her call and like, yeah, what do you do about it? Come on there. You're all the way up there. You're not a boy and it's the boys long around. He was steaming. And then I'm like, uh, okay, that's great after a huge rent. And by the way, say hi to Dean and RJ.
Starting point is 01:49:12 They're in the car. Why didn't you tell you? What are you speaking about? Yeah, kids. Kids today. They're industrial. They're smart. The thinkers.
Starting point is 01:49:26 Cudos to them. Dumb animals. If we're in here and mom can't come in here, life's good. Safe space. We make the rules. That's pretty good. Pretty good.
Starting point is 01:49:42 Well, yeah, I suppose that's all the damage we can do today. Flames training cap is open. If you're curious, sessions today and tomorrow at WinSport. Those are open to the public. Saturday, Sunday, they move to the dome, which I do not believe we're open to the public. So want to watch.
Starting point is 01:50:02 Go to WinSport today or tomorrow. What's happening at the dome? Are they, uh, it's a pain in the ass to get in and out of, I'll tell you that. Husky's got to put all his secret plays in. He can of people seeing that, getting on the internet.
Starting point is 01:50:12 That's right. Yeah. The install in day three of camp. That's right. Yeah. Yeah. So here's what we're going to do on that road trip in January. Right.
Starting point is 01:50:22 We're going to be working on That road map To the left wing walk Yeah We're going to put Ladar on the wing They'll never see it coming Sure won't
Starting point is 01:50:34 See it coming Well there you go I might be at your house next week Dean Okay According to Jack Yeah Jack What's what's going on There's a guy that paints things
Starting point is 01:50:48 That's going to come look at the studio Bob Ross that would be so awesome dead oh no I don't even think I knew yeah that one hurts oh yeah dead yeah for a while
Starting point is 01:51:02 yeah so Bob Ross is coming to the studio coming to the studio he's going to check it out if he's going to do the job we're going to have to move some stuff around so he can paint said studio so Rhett might be at your house okay
Starting point is 01:51:17 what about you where will you be maybe I'll come to your house or you'll be in my house. So in essence, really truly it'd be easier for everyone if you guys just came here if we did the show in this end of the city. Dean's house.
Starting point is 01:51:35 Because you're super close, Jack, you're real close. Parking's great. A lot of parking. You just fix that overpass, right? You were saying the bridge. Yeah, the bridge. Good. Yeah, bridge is good. Yeah, bridge is good. So aside from that, Jack,
Starting point is 01:51:48 what are your plans? Did I hear you're going to a seminar or something tomorrow? Are you part of some sort of a convention? Some podcast convention thing. I don't really know what it is. Exciting. Yeah. Some of these people come up looking for autographs.
Starting point is 01:52:09 Highly successful. Well, now we've seen what you look like on the jackometer. Yeah. Do you have glossy six by nines you're signing? Carrying Sharpies around? A booth set up? Are you signing bras and racks? What are you doing?
Starting point is 01:52:20 here. I'll just be hanging out. I don't know what this is or what I'm supposed to be expecting, but I got RJ coming with me at least. Jack, you can alert. Do what I do. Just no. Just say no. No. Hi, Mr. Warner. I'm here for my one exit of the Children's Hospital this week. Could you please sign the stick? No. Girl guides? No. Oh. Got any cookies? What's new in your life, Red? How are the kids? How's, is everybody, so is the Buffalo thing done? Are you moved out?
Starting point is 01:53:00 Vehicles, furniture, everything back? Yeah, the delivery truck has arrived and is, I would say, slowly being unpacked. Are you currently in legal wrangling's with the landlord regarding your damage deposit? How's that scenario? No, no, no, no, no, no. That's all good. We're all free and clear there.
Starting point is 01:53:23 Did you leave with the flat screen, the 70-some inch? No, I put it away. Deleted all the accounts. We should be good. Yeah, yeah, clear that history for sure. It's one of the kids is found, we'll find out today what team he makes. And the other one starts Saturday, the trials. Wow.
Starting point is 01:53:39 Mm-hmm. It's exciting. Everyone's in school, or we still have to tighten the screws a little there? They're in school, but I don't know that it's worth time and effort, but they're going. As a shoveler, she back with all her quilting clubs? Yeah, she's lots of quilting and, yeah, drinking. Well, that's what you do. That's what you do.
Starting point is 01:54:03 It all makes sense now. I never thought that could be interesting until you said drinking. Now I want to join a quilting club. Tuesday book club and Wednesday's quilting. Yeah. There's a lot. It's hectic. It feels like it.
Starting point is 01:54:16 Yeah. Yeah. A nice thing being around the ranks right now is that all the parents are overjoyed with the way things play out. Not stressed. Definitely not whining about the process. Yeah. I've seen a lot of that too.
Starting point is 01:54:29 A lot of people are just saying, you know what? I think this is fair. I don't have any opinions. I leave this to the people in power. It's very embracing. I don't know. I agree with the evaluation process and very clearly.
Starting point is 01:54:41 I think they've done a great job. Yeah. They have a good handle on what needs. to be done here. Cudy Hardos. Yeah. So you leave Saturday for, uh, Ozeland.
Starting point is 01:54:53 It's dry, might for, will you come back. Yes. I mean, unless that kangaroo, Dino's trying to hire. I don't know how we weren't.
Starting point is 01:55:01 This was not cold. We've talked about this. I know we've got to end, but we've talked about going to Australia. You'd already going. You'd think that that might have been thrown out to the, I can't even get you to Penticton or to, Penticton or to,
Starting point is 01:55:14 Penticton. You're to a continent. Epis. Now Nimbin. Nimbun. Now we're talking. Can't you see Dean and Nimbun? He would look the exact same.
Starting point is 01:55:27 Just like that. It's pretty hot. Just zoned right out. But having the time of his life. Right now he is. Yes. He loves this job. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:55:38 I think he's going to sign off. And I might not see him again for a couple of weeks. See you, buddies.
