Super chat. Oh, baby. Been a bit of a down week. Maybe we just stopped doing super chats. Maybe the kids don't need food anymore.
Starting point is 00:01:12 Maybe the at-risk youth in our community don't need your help anymore. Oh, they need you. I don't want to keep. You know, badgering people with the super chats if they're not into it. So we'll see. For the handsome Dan, we'll probably see him today. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:25 Set your watch to him. Saved himself 10 bucks there late. Foo. Saved a lot of problems there. God bless that Colorado video coach. Yeah. Holy. Well, you were saying,
Starting point is 00:01:34 he's sharp. Might have been Jamie Pringle. I think that's offside. That's, it's our goal. Why is Pringle text? Oh, we got to challenge this.
Starting point is 00:01:41 That's not how that works, Matt. What you got to do? Way back in the day. That's right. Yeah. Still got his no e-bit joke. Kail.
Starting point is 00:01:49 My guy's challenge. Uh, it's, it's Jamie. Look out of challenge. Is Pringle? Is he drinking again? Yeah, the guys is like,
Starting point is 00:01:59 who is this? Never mind. Just challenge. I challenge. Got to go by. We are here in the McLeod Law LLP studios, MacLeod-L-L-P-L-Ptudel dot com. If you have, you know, you're starting a new business,
Starting point is 00:02:14 you might need some legal assistance to get things up and running. That's where you get McLeod. Entrepreneurs, like, yeah. They ever got some shoddy. Medical advice. That's right. Not in this room. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:24 If there's something that's maybe gone, you know, gone sideways. Run a buck? Yeah, yeah, whatever. I probably need some papers done for the land on his new cookie doctor clinic he's opening. It's a catchy song, right? It is good. We should just play it and get out of here.
Starting point is 00:02:42 Let's have a drink, Jack. Paddyo weather today. For us today, I said, I'll tell you, it's awesome when the weather's nice because you come in here, you're positive, you feel good, you got a little pep in your step. Oh, yeah. And then you realize your son, your kids up for tryouts. He's going to be in a rink. Idiot. How much sun?
Starting point is 00:03:01 in the rink. That's the problem with the sports here, right? Yeah. In the cross and all that. We've got to go inside. I wish a girl softball was played inside. Oh. You outside are all right.
Starting point is 00:03:14 Good Lord. We've been doing inside. Yeah. We're not outside yet. Yeah. It's next, I think Thursday we're outside. I'm like that's the whole issue is you sign your kid up for a nice sport like baseball.
Starting point is 00:03:25 That one year back of the old shop, I think it was the first year you had kids in baseball. And you were like, it's probably. eight in a row where I've sat in the truck while it's rained in a parking lot trying to squint and see that's going on out there. Like it was a disastrous spring. You can't count on it.
Starting point is 00:03:40 No, you never know. It's too bad because it's great. Even soccer. I love playing soccer. You big soccer guy? Oh, James McReith kicked them all around. Oh, Jimmy? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:49 Wow. Oh, yeah. I got two left feet, but. That's tough in soccer. Can't use your hands. That wingspan here is totally useless. So today high, high 14 degrees. Oh, I bet it gets high.
Starting point is 00:04:01 Anyone I want to have a round around that? High 15 degrees. Sunday, 6 degrees, 60% chance of snow. Perfect. That's fine. That's fine. That's my last to you, Sunday. Yes.
Starting point is 00:04:13 There we go. That's. The gods are on our side, Dean. Ah, this is perfect. Final day. Nice days. We're going to get outside. We're going to do some things over the weekend, Friday, Saturday, get together with
Starting point is 00:04:25 friends and family, enjoy some wonderful cabitson. And then on Sunday, when we're all, hung over and feeling like shit. We're going to park our hats on that couch and enjoy Rory and Brooks. Sammy Burns coming down. 18. It's a beautiful
Starting point is 00:04:43 day and it guys have a couple extra holes. Dean's going to come over with his crock pot for his pot roast and his buns. It's going to be one hell the day. Seven-layer dip. Perhaps. What a day it's going to be. I can't wait. Amen.
Starting point is 00:04:57 Come in that area. Give us a Canadian in the top 10. Give us a little McElroy chase in a second. Scotty in the mix. Let's go. As we go, so you can get some of that if you need. Whatever. He did.
Starting point is 00:05:10 Need it. Yeah. How's the greenhouse? The greenhouse was walked through yesterday. Really? Tis the season. Well, it should be the season, much like it should be baseball and golf season, but it's not quite the season here, but it's coming fast.
Starting point is 00:05:29 Are you still a green thumb? Is that what they called? Oh. Oh, hell yeah. You should see. I got, every morning I take a dump, there's a book that's right there, vegetable gardening for kids. The dump's not involved in any sort of the fertilize on?
Starting point is 00:05:42 Listen, I've been doing some research. This dumping stuff's going to be important because when we terraform on Mars. Yeah, you need that. Going to need that. Yeah. A little fertilizer, Dean? I'd be snapping up outhouses at an incredible rate, Harry, if I knew that was going to be the next cold mine. It's going to be something.
Starting point is 00:05:59 When we, what, terraform? that's right okay I'm terrified good to know and it's coming okay can't wait to get to Mars Mars right okay doesn't snow they were saying today I was listening to this shit and they were saying they could once they get set up on the moon with the robots
Starting point is 00:06:16 they'll be able to send stuff faster cheaper and more efficiently like critical mineral stuff from the moon to earth than it is descended from Gallagher it's asked to What kind of minerals are you Mining on the moon? It's some good stuff out there.
Starting point is 00:06:33 Aluminum gold, hawk ice. Good stuff in the moon. Oh, it's on everything we need. They just don't have the gases that make the oxygen lungs. Right. Because they don't have stravity. It's coming this weekend, I think.
Starting point is 00:06:45 The Mars? Yeah. The moon. Both. The oxygen, the water. Oh, good. Pistible got to figure it out. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:51 We're close. Beak weekend coming up. Boy, you thought that Artemis would have popped in. Probably scouting mission. Not really sure how. to move. It's Friday, Dean. I'm feeling good, baby.
Starting point is 00:07:04 It's good. Flames played last night. Let's just go through it. Throw right to the Pinder Report. I think we go to the Pinder Report report too late, but most of this. Because if you go to the Pender Report and then what's after the Pender Report? Yeah. Get some bets and supers.
Starting point is 00:07:20 Yeah. It's like Dean wants to bear it. I don't know what the hell you're waiting for. Well, we have a guest coming up. Actually, I like this guest, so let's pause. Yeah, I'm going to pause till after you have a guest in, you know, five minutes time. or so, which is probably enough. It's probably ample time to
Starting point is 00:07:35 look back at last night's game. More than enough, Dean. Can I just read a comment quickly? This is from Ninja Butters. I came for the hockey talk and I've already learned about the moon. Flat fuck Friday's of the best. I'm not sure what you've learned. You've heard about it. What a show? You've heard it brought up.
Starting point is 00:07:50 I don't love this. Your idea, guys. We're giving your ideas. Might be fiction. Run with them. It's interesting. Healthy. Was not the blowout we were maybe anticipating. Could have been. All it takes is Rhett just running guys.
Starting point is 00:08:10 They're immediately. Greatly again, Wolf again. Yeah, yeah. I'd be careful to taking runs with guys because they might start winning some of these games left. Take it easy. I like to Abbott and Kelly Rudy talking. A lot of the shots on that very lopside. The abs are on pace for 64 shots.
Starting point is 00:08:27 Well, I don't think that's going to happen. I'll take the under. well victory for the flames then if you could keep them under 60 I did hear him say well the flames look like they're lay maybe don't have their legs they look a little they look a little tired I don't know why that would be yeah they've been on the road since the 29th of March
Starting point is 00:08:47 they'll be right now like how the F is this real crypto yeah I did check in it's going how you think it's going the mood is fine you did well it is what it is yeah the mood's good and the cities have been actually decent But it's just too long. But it's a long trip.
Starting point is 00:09:05 So another bus ride and another plane and unpack a bag and pack a bag and unpack a bag and unpack a bag and unpack a bag and we were just here. Yeah, they started. We were just here. It's not even the last game of the trip. No. It's like cettering out of Manhattan when you go out east. We just will go here and then bounce around. So you're going to hub where?
Starting point is 00:09:28 No, we can't. It's half a clock. So what did you make the game, Dean? Um, well, I mean, it went kind of to script. Yeah, if anything, it was, flames held it in check that this, this was potentially a tie game. Again, I think speaks to the flames. Yeah. It's probably a little bit of, you know, the abs have punched their ticket to the playoffs.
Starting point is 00:09:51 They've got like everything. There's not a whole lot for them left. Well, they were saying last night, there's no damn way they were going to let up on. I know, I know. I know. I know. Well, actually, you know what? There is one guy, and we talk about him.
Starting point is 00:10:04 He runs hot all the time. He's not the captain, but he's kind of the leader of that Colorado Avalanche team. Game, whatever it had been, 77, 78 of the avalanche season. They've won the division. They've gone all the, you know. The referees. Stupid rough. Still here from Nathan McKinnon as it turns out.
Starting point is 00:10:24 Yeah. Yeah. Really? Inside the offensive blue line Cardinals. Here's McKinnon looking at a slot in first damage. Made a nice pivot move to deny. Oh, Borgie. Corny.
Starting point is 00:10:38 I'm away. Kid have got through with that puck gone away. He'll fucking go. Stump light back to the far side. This line's backward. Here he comes. 2-0. Shots are 30 to 7.
Starting point is 00:10:54 Game well. I don't know what he was saying, but he's wound up. He's wound up. He's wound up. Well, if I thought about in Edmonton, they'd be riding in the streets. You don't get a penalty when you're trying to drive through 2D. drive through 2D. Well, either way.
Starting point is 00:11:07 So the refs, somebody was, he was mad at himself. He was mad at somebody, but that's... Man, turned his head and looked right at the ref when he was mad at himself. Yeah. Wow, you got to let somebody know. Yeah. But he got one at the end there, that empty netter.
Starting point is 00:11:17 Oh, God bless him. Yeah. Seemed to count, eh? Empty netters count. And elsewhere in the NHL universe, goal Caulfield had pulled within one in the Richard race as well. So that empty netter.
Starting point is 00:11:28 Do you think he was paying attention? No, but I've got McKinnon futures. I'm very excited about that. He needed that. Oh, so... You want a tip, but totally. We can dip in a toe while we wait because I mean, he'll be here right away. But I was because I did.
Starting point is 00:11:38 I got watching that one last thing. I'm like, well, intermission, what have we got going here? Oh, it's a tight one between a lot of good games. Tampa Bay Montreal, close one here. Montreal is up one nothing. Darren Radish ties the game with 151 left. 22 on the year. Under two to play.
Starting point is 00:11:53 One huge. Okay. So the Tampa Bay Lightning are going to need to, uh, let's get this extra time. Let's get a point. We got a old Joe, Cooper was, you know, doing fist pumps on the bench. Yes. All right.
Starting point is 00:12:03 So again, under two to play And you think, all right, we're going to tuck this baby in Yerai Slavkovsky needs one more to get to 30 Wonder if he gets there Is it fun on Montreal? Back on Tuesday, Nick Suzuki. Suzuki, no steal. I don't know if that's counting chickens or what that is,
Starting point is 00:12:34 but yeah, I would think, yeah, 151 left. All right, perfect. We're going to get a point. That belly was electric. Like, I don't know. you're a hockey fan and the Sabres play the Habs and you can afford it.
Starting point is 00:12:50 To be fair, if anyone plays the Habs, that building's going to be. You know what? Let's do sound up. I was saying that back and forth and it's playoffs and if it was the Rangers would be great. No, you're right. Old Chicago but I'm that building in Buffalo and then you
Starting point is 00:13:06 combine, if you can go back and forth, shut the front. And the other thing is we talk about Toronto, but certainly Montreal. If the team playing well and if you're one of the guys what a town to be in do they love Cole Caulfield in Montreal it's a resembled what's what's what's what we're gonna see what we're gonna suzuki a field's avarance a boom boom a Steve a Pierre a Stefan a Cole the flambo is pasted it's a Gambu
Starting point is 00:13:53 The horn is still going. Oh, yeah. We got them. Excellent. Expoise jersey. Well done. The horn went for a minute. There's Cole's dad.
Starting point is 00:14:04 We'll just leave it. Dad was there. Burr's hat. The American-born Cole Caulfield has, the horn has started up again. They're going to play it out some more. He did a post game because he was the first star on the ice. And it was like they had to wait for the cheers to lower a little bit so they could do the interview. Look at the smiles in that crap.
Starting point is 00:14:28 How fun is that team right? Their faces are peeling off. They can lose in round what would, but there's something about that town, that team, that building, that jersey. I mean,
Starting point is 00:14:38 if you were to say, maybe a little touch of destiny, some stuff going on here with this team, right? Look at it. Sego! I love that everyone on the bench
Starting point is 00:14:47 is just as. Great goal. Like Marty St. Louis, not downplay, oh, can just show emotion here. Oh, this is great. on mood. The horn.
Starting point is 00:14:58 It's okay to cry, Dan. It's okay to cry. Love it. Let's get our insider in here. For Crystal Waters, plumbing and heating. Crystal Clear Choice for Home Conference. You know it. I know it.
Starting point is 00:15:10 You know it. I'm not sure what they can do for woodpeckers. I haven't heard back from me yet. It was spring coming. Indoor air and water quality treatment. They got the water softers, water filters, air purifiers, filtration systems.
Starting point is 00:15:23 Of course, it's all the full. full service plumbing HVAC and all that sort of thing, but some spring promos are coming. You can fill out the web form or you can give them a call. I heard on Barnburner about these spring promotions. Can you hook me up? 587-317-1551 or crystal clearcalgary.com. TSN Hockey insider Darren Drager joins us.
Starting point is 00:15:43 Hello. Drags. Hey, guys. Are you? We're good. Listen, we're dealing with some stuff over at Boom's Castle. Hmm. What do you do with these woodpeckers?
Starting point is 00:15:53 Waking them up, everyone. I know you're an outdoor Z. I know you've dealt with stuff from your day. Yeah. A woodpecker issue. I'm going to regret acknowledging this. So I've got, I want to say a high-powered pellet gun, but that's, that doesn't really make sense, right? You know what I'm saying? It's just, and I've got a chipmunk problem at the cabin. So I would, I would put.
Starting point is 00:16:24 I would put woodpeckers in the category of mice or rodents in their pests, right? I'm sure they do good things. I'm sure they do. Yeah. I'm sure they do. But there's a line that's crossed every once in a while. Well, Jack, I put the, this was from yesterday. This is, uh, this is my house.
Starting point is 00:16:43 Okay. And like, so that's, yeah, that's a metal chimney. So how smart is this woodpecker? This guy's an idiot. And it is, drinks. It is so. in the house. I can imagine.
Starting point is 00:16:57 I can imagine. Because like, yeah, okay. Let me see. Is it the furnace? It's not the air conditioner. It's not the hot water tank.
Starting point is 00:17:08 Oh, what the hell? We have to call crystal waters and figure this out. But every 30 seconds, there's like a... What the... Is that? Let's try to...
Starting point is 00:17:29 Please. My daughter, I told the boys yesterday. My daughter is giving shit. She's moving out. Dad. Not had enough. What are we doing? Are we doing anything about this?
Starting point is 00:17:40 Or is this just how, like, and it happens every spring. Yeah. I think you have to turn in your prairie card, buddy. You haven't dealt with that after? Well, I've thought about it. I'm like, so which angle? If there happens to be, it happens to be that my aim is not pure. Not that we would condone this.
Starting point is 00:17:58 I understand. the least amount of potential damage. You got to pack heat. That's what Dregs is saying without saying it. You know, like they make these things now. It doesn't have to have gunpowder. It's a very safe implement.
Starting point is 00:18:13 I would look after that issue now. But it kind of reminds me as I'm watching the video. So here in southern Ontario, I mean, raccoons live everywhere, but do you guys have issues with them? They don't know. Okay. So,
Starting point is 00:18:28 this is probably going back four or three four years ago. I back out of my driveway and I look up and I've got like a hole the size of like a watermelon under the eve of one of the peaks of my house. And instantly I know what it is. You can't believe how strong those little are like the fact that they could tear a hole in what is it, soft it or whatever it is on the east there. So this is where it gets even more redoubt. ridiculous. So automatically, you know, okay, well, I got to deal with that because if they nest in there,
Starting point is 00:19:03 now you've got a serious problem because they have like 18 kittens or whatever they're called. And, you know, now you got a family, right? So I call this company called Skidaddle. I mean, it's a franchise, so they're probably all over the place. Five grand. Holy cost to get. So, hey, hold on. I mean, it's, you know, they, they, they, they, dispose of the creature so the raccoon gets dispatched or relocated. Right. Of course. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:35 Transport. Yeah, exactly. But then they come in and they raccoon proof it. So they, you know, did this meshing and all that stuff around every corner of the eve and the roof of my house. So they're never getting back in. But a little bastard cost me five grand. Yeah. And I know how I had to dealt with him on the prairies.
Starting point is 00:19:55 I don't. You know what? And again, we will move on because I'm guessing this is. is not why people tuned in, but I wonder if ski dattle took a look at the call this place, D. Drager. It's out of zero. Well, there were about seven houses on my street that got nailed in the same fashion. So it's a good business.
Starting point is 00:20:17 By the way, baby raccoon is called a kit. So the kids of nine kits. What did I say? Kitten? Yep. Yeah. Close close. Well, you were on there.
Starting point is 00:20:25 You joined. You popped in as we were looking at the highlights from last night. Yeah, I mean, Montreal, it feels like they've been, we showed highlights in whatever, January on a Tuesday, and the horn goes for two minutes, and the crowd is off their,
Starting point is 00:20:37 like they're off their rockers. Last night, John Cooper, Tampa, hey, nice, goal with under two left. Bang. Perfect. We're going to get a point.
Starting point is 00:20:45 Let's, what are we going to do? We got, get the shootout list ready. Who's, is his hand okay? Because we need to, not a minute later.
Starting point is 00:20:52 It's in the back of their net. They lose in regulation. Cole, Cofield, 50 goals. Slaff 30. It's, there's just a feeling with that team sometimes. Yeah, and you know, Nick Suzuki as a young leader, you know, when he was named captain, I think many of us went,
Starting point is 00:21:08 that's a lot soon in a market like that, right? But he has handled that role and it hasn't negatively impacted his game even a little bit. I would submit the opposite because he's so dialed in. And you look throughout that roster and we don't have to go man by man. you know, Deminoff is going to be, he's a nice player now, but he has the potential to be a star. I was at the draft when Montreal took Slavkovsky first overall, and whether Shane Wright peered at the Montreal table or not,
Starting point is 00:21:42 it doesn't matter. But it didn't shock anybody, but it certainly raised eyebrows. And, you know, I remember at the time thinking, talking to hockey people there and, you know, Okay, like when Slavkovsky walked by me on the draft floor, without seeing this kid live,
Starting point is 00:22:01 I watched him on video lots of times, but I'm like, holy smokes, this man is a horse at 18 years of age. Like just that big Russian whatever arse on him, like just an absolute mule of a human being. I'm like, well, if they can develop this kid, he's going to be something else. And I mean, you're nowhere.
Starting point is 00:22:24 near the ceiling on Slavkovsky at this point. And none of these guys. No. Hudson, the goalies, obviously. Yeah. There's more coming. Hage probably will make his debut. The, uh, the, the centerman.
Starting point is 00:22:37 Yeah. Oliver Caput. Yeah. He had 20 goals. There was not a whole lot expected of him at this point. Yeah. And so for me, they are exhibit A of a rebuild and how, you know, you do have to brace your fan base for.
Starting point is 00:22:54 or the pain and the suffering, which they did initially. But they also didn't lolly gag. Like they drafted properly. They've developed slowly, but in the right, with the only, maybe the only flyer they took was putting Marty St. Louis on the bench, on an NHL bench as a head coach coming out of minor hockey, for God's sake. It didn't work. They could have turned to a veteran right now, right?
Starting point is 00:23:18 Sure. He's his second contract right now? Yeah. But Ken Hughes has openly talked about it. You know, it was the hockey IQ, the intellect of Marty San Luis, and the arrogance, the personality of the man who can handle that market in both languages, French and English. So it seems like everything they've touched to this point has worked out.
Starting point is 00:23:43 But as we all know, the postseason's a different beast. Completely different animals. So you get into that first ground, who knows what's going to happen. I mean, they get their teeth kicked in. I doubt. He did a good job last year, get up against Washington, having, you know,
Starting point is 00:23:57 sticking up for themselves anyway. Like, it was an entertaining series battle in that one. Yeah. Look at Anderson and Jack, like there's some, they got some small fours. They're not.
Starting point is 00:24:07 But it's just, they have had at least a tasting. And I'll tell you what, like I, I think it was Craig Barubei who mentioned something to him. It wasn't critical of the defense of the Montreal Canadians.
Starting point is 00:24:18 This was maybe coming out of the rookie tournament or preseason, whatever it was. And he said, I wonder about the size of their defense. And yeah, they're mobile. They can skate pox out of traffic and all that stuff. But are they physical enough to box out when the games get heavy? And I guess after watching them all season long, I would go,
Starting point is 00:24:41 I don't think that matters. And maybe it does in seven game series when the bigger teams do find a way to the inside. I don't know. And I don't know the size of them, but you could commit to doing it. too. Like Jordan Leopold was not a big man. Right. Yeah. When we go to the finals, he's bad, you know what I mean? When you get all in and you're, you dig in and you want it. Well, that's an excellent point. And I think just to flip to Cole Cawfield, I think you'd agree with this. Ray Ferraro made a distinction on the podcast recently where he said there's a difference between being short and being small.
Starting point is 00:25:18 Yeah. Cole Cawfield is short. but he's he's not small. He does not play the game small. He doesn't shy away from certain areas, you know, based on his stance and lower body gravity, all of those things. Like he can get into tough spots in the ice
Starting point is 00:25:39 and he can wiggle his way into position and get that shot away and all of those things. So again, I guess we're preaching to the same choir here. But I mean, I've been in that building, often enough to still submit that Montreal is the church when it comes to celebration in the national hockey.
Starting point is 00:25:59 There is nothing nowhere better, not in hockey. There just isn't. And I feel like that is a deep connection between the fan base, their knowledge of the game, and again, their connection to the player and what that player means to the game and what he means to the community. Like when Caulfield scored 50 last night, oh, I mean, you know, yeah, as dad's crying, a bit half the building had tears in their eyes, you know, just because it's, it's just such an abnormal place for milestones and high-end celebration.
Starting point is 00:26:35 It just is. I watched the HBO series last night, the Flyers one. And there are certain times where certain teams develop a certain chemistry with their community. We kind of had it in Florida. You had a year out of four. Typically when you win that chemistry as an easier chance of building. Yeah. But it never leaves in Montreal.
Starting point is 00:26:57 Never. And in some places you watch, like if the New York Yankees or whatever, it's okay, get over yourself. Like you get sick of it. It rings different for me in Montreal. It's like, no, you kind of deserve it. It's genuine and they love it. But I think, I think as a player, as a coach, his management, Jeff Moulson as an owner, you have to be wired for it, right?
Starting point is 00:27:19 Because you have to be able to walk into a restaurant with your wife, with your family, and be okay with, you know, fans coming over and just saying alone. They're not going to mob you. You know, they're not. I've been there lots of times and I've watched it firsthand. You know, if you're on the street and you can take a quick picker, sign an autograph, all right, they know that comes with a territory. But there's a level of respect and appreciation in that fan base that,
Starting point is 00:27:45 that it's tough to emulate. It is. I think it's just a history. That's what it is. Can we rewind a bit? Because when the decision was made when Bergervan left, Zey took a non-traditional route
Starting point is 00:27:59 with Kent Hughes, who was an agent. We're seeing more of this. Like Bill Zito's an agent, there's two other guys that are surfacing. A lot of the candidates that we're now seeing for GM jobs have some agency background. And they also wanted to Jeff Gordon, who I think is criminally underrated,
Starting point is 00:28:10 given the tiny amount of work he did in Boston that turned that franchise around like six months, but did a really good job in New York. Obviously, there's owner GM dynamics, but that tandem, having the balls to say this is an anglophone guy, we're going to put them with a guy that can't speak French. Talk to me about that model and if that should be maybe all these teams that, like the Leafs, like, that are looking for GMs.
Starting point is 00:28:31 And how much credit should Bergevin get? Yeah. Some. This young core is a lot of the new guys, but Bergeman did get to the final in that bubble year. Yeah. And, and look, the owner, you know, again, for, for, for knowing that in that market,
Starting point is 00:28:46 it's hard to take it to the studs. And they more or less did that. More or less, that's what they did. But, Ryan, you're bang on. If I were an owner in the National Hockey League and I was going through what Toronto is embracing now, New Jersey, it feels like Nashville has been doing it for months now and can't seem to find their way in their process,
Starting point is 00:29:07 I 100% would be looking at the model of the Montreal Canadiens and really, really, really looking at how that works. And it works because Jeff Corton is a deeply experienced manager, right? So he did what he did in Boston. I think that he was grossly mistreated by the New York Rangers. I just do. Oh, that was nasty. That was just a volatile owner that was pissed off at everybody.
Starting point is 00:29:37 Well, okay, John Davidson, you've got to go. Jeff Gordon, you've got to go. this guy, that, like, I mean, they just flushed in New York. But that made the Montreal Canadians better and made them stronger. So here's why the dynamic works so well. So Jeff gets a little bit of the management juice because he's still on the phone. And he's talking to managers and he's talking to precedents and he's talking to all those connections, you know, in the hockey community worldwide.
Starting point is 00:30:06 But he also acts as that buffer that go between business. and what management has to do. And that frees, Ken Hughes, to make sure that he is on top of everything. So, I mean, Ken Hughes, there isn't a general manager that knows that every deal is common.
Starting point is 00:30:25 But there wouldn't be many that Kent Hughes didn't have knowledge of, and maybe didn't participate in, in terms of seeing if there's the right fit for the Montreal Canadiens. When you have that luxury as a general manager where your sole focus is on the organization of your team and your American League
Starting point is 00:30:43 and where your prospects are and all of that and you're making sure that you're in daily communication with your amateur scouts, your pro scouts, and all your layers of hockey operations, that speaks to a level of success. And just to finish my thought and link it back to the Maple Leafs for a moment, so I think we misunderstood a little bit
Starting point is 00:31:03 what Keith Pelley was talking about when he talked about having a data-driven management group. All right. Okay. Sonny Mehta is coming in for the interview from the Florida Panthers. He's an AGM in Florida, but he's their director of analytics for the Florida Panthers. That's what he is. But you're right to mention Bill Zito.
Starting point is 00:31:22 Bill Zeter, a lawyer, Bill Zito, a player agent. Bill Zito worked his way up through management of the Columbus Blue Jackets and now is surrounded by terrific people. But he is a razor, razor sharp man. Likewise with Kent Hughes. So if I were in ownership, man, I'd be looking at guys like that that were maybe looking for something fresh, a different challenge, something new, because they're very talented people out there available. And so if you're an owner and it's like, okay, I'm going to get this highly-tetted president, I'm going to get this GM that's done phenomenal work. You've got two highly paid executives. Like, are we talking north of 10 million a year for those two?
Starting point is 00:32:00 Because you mentioned ownership, and I think that's important. A lot of teams don't have the stomach for that. No, they don't. And Seattle Cracket, I think, our exhibit. but eight, right? I mean, you know, they had an All of Famer and Ronnie Francis overseeing their hockey operations with Jason Bottero as general manager. And it's pretty evident that they just decided that, okay, well, it feels like we're overlapping here. Maybe we don't need that role anymore.
Starting point is 00:32:27 So they amically figure out, okay, what's the best way to cut bait? And that's what Toronto did with Brendan Shannon. Granted, the Shana plan had lots of time to materialize and it just didn't work out. But I do think that you have that disconnect. You've got teams like Montreal that see the value in the two-headed monster of Gordon and Hughes and see how it's playing out. And then you've got other clubs that are maybe more concerned with counting their dollars.
Starting point is 00:32:55 You can go on, that might be a redundant voice in a redundant position. So let's maybe go a different direction. It's tough. I mean, desperation can make you do some strange things. Flames roll through Dallas. a couple nights ago. It was the wild. Then stars are going to play around one. They played last night. And there was a little skirmish at the end.
Starting point is 00:33:14 It was more playful than anything else. But Meryl Haskin leaves the game, I think it was the first period, lower body. MRI today, it has the feeling of not good news for the Dallas stars. Now, who's to say? Like you say, let the MRI come back. Let the doctors be the doctors.
Starting point is 00:33:31 But Rupa Hintz is hurt, faxes hurt. And we've seen how much Haskin means to the star. and what they are when he's not in the lineup. No, he's so good, so good. And I remember having conversation early in the year with Glenn Gulletson, and I said, is there a player with the Dallas stars that you, you know, you've been close around now through camp and whatnot, that either surprises you with the level of talent or might even be a little bit untapped still.
Starting point is 00:34:00 And he instantly said, Haskinen. He's like, as good as he is, he can be and will be better. And there were little nuances and defensive details and things to his game that it doesn't matter that we talked about. But like all top defensemen, I mean, they touch every aspect of your game, right? So we'll have to wait to see what the imaging says. And then ultimately what the Dallas stars are willing to disclose. But it is a ridiculous time here to go through an injury bug like that. When you're talking about the players boomer that you just mentioned, right?
Starting point is 00:34:36 Like I think at Tampa Bay, you guys were talking about the lightning a little bit before I jumped on. And, you know, yeah, there's been some legit nagging stuff with Hegel, with Sorelli, with some other guys. You've got Victor Hedman, who's on personal leave, all that. But most of that is being managed by the organization, right? Those guys could probably play if they had to play. So it's load management because Tampa Bay recognizes that, hey, if we're not healthy, we're going to be in trouble. trying to play the game that we need to play to win and to be successful. So there might be a bit of that in Dallas,
Starting point is 00:35:12 but I think it's a little bit more severe as well. I said it to boys before because Dave Anderchuk was on in between periods in Buffalo last night. I was watching that game. And he said when they won in Tampa Bay, the hockey gods got to want you to win. They have to align. And this is like with Dallas,
Starting point is 00:35:31 Heiskenen's out, and injuries here and there. nothing matters. If the hockey gods don't want you winning, you're not winning. It's true. And it's such a crappy time, but you can also appreciate it happens every year where in the last five games or so somebody, players of significance go down.
Starting point is 00:35:48 And you're right. It can potentially change the outcome and direction as you go into the postseason. But, you know, I remember having a back and forth with somebody at head office of the National Hockey League around the Olympics. It was before the Olympics. And first half, there was. was a string of injuries. And I asked for some data on injuries,
Starting point is 00:36:10 whether or not the league actually investigates injuries. And not whether or not players are injured, but the type of injury, like groin pulls, strains, all of the stuff that you can envision comes from having a condensed schedule. And, you know, they're not going to disclose any of that. But the feedback I got and I laughed out loud was, yes, we recognize that the injuries may be slightly up
Starting point is 00:36:34 than previous years, but we don't believe there's no evidence to show that any of these injuries are fatigue based. Come on. What are we talking about here? I mean, they don't get to rest. They don't get to practice.
Starting point is 00:36:49 They're playing every other night. Lots of back to backs. Like, come on. And none of it is fatigue based. So maybe. I would say if I was the schedule maker, right? Yeah. I mean, maybe you get to this point of the season
Starting point is 00:37:01 And then that's a big part of it too, right? Is the wear and tear? And maybe some of the mental fatigue. You know, maybe you put yourself in a bad spot or otherwise you might not. How did Thomas Shabbat play after having surgery on, what, March 23rd? How did, I don't know how, because we talked about, so maybe it's like a hairline little, it's a crack,
Starting point is 00:37:20 some sort of thing, but he had surgery for it. So it's not just playing with a broken arm. There was a broken arm surgery and then playing. Crazy. Yeah, it is. And I'm not here. to dissect what surgery means. I mean, surgery is surgery.
Starting point is 00:37:34 But, you know, I think what you're implying, boomer is, all right, well, they're varying degrees, you know. I think if you're doing a, you know, full, you know, knee job, okay, well, that's different than having a knee scoped. But yet we would look at a scope and does it fall under the description of having arthroscopic surgery? I guess. I don't quite know.
Starting point is 00:38:00 And I, it is, but even the club, like the Ottawa senators acknowledged that it, it was fast. And it was surprising to have him available for that morning skate. I'm sure Travis Green and Steve Stales knew. I mean, you don't just walk onto the ice because you feel like you can take a morning skate. I mean, you've got to have medical clearance. And they would have been informed by all of it. But it's borderline magic, man. I'm sure we'll find out at the end of their season
Starting point is 00:38:31 what specifically he had done, but whatever it is, he's still a quick healer. I think that's obvious. Robots. Yeah, sure. I just want to jump back to Seattle really quickly. We're, I think, what, five years in,
Starting point is 00:38:46 they had the nice playoff win over Colorado. I think it was year two. The Natchushkin thing happened in that series, one of multiple Nachushkin things. But it felt like, okay, it wasn't a blow your socks off expansion drop, but here they are. Look at this.
Starting point is 00:38:58 I like what's the plan there? Like they went and committed long term to guys that are on the back nine in Montour and Stevenson. They're going to be in decline. They don't have a young star yet. Benares is nice. Are they just missing a blue chip kid in the draft? Because like they have been awful for the last month. Like probably the worst team in the NHL,
Starting point is 00:39:20 they win last night. I'm looking at it right now. They're one five and one in their last seven. And the stretch before that was impressive. Like where are you going? What are you doing? because you've got this fan base season ticket list 20,000 deep. You're asking top dollar for everything.
Starting point is 00:39:33 It's a bad team. Yeah. Yeah. Well, and again, maybe that speaks to the transition that they're making from Ron Francis to Jason Bauderl. And, you know, Bauderl was given lots of room to be a general manager. It's not like Ronnie Francis was peering over his shoulder. But obviously, ownership felt that his guidance, his leadership wasn't working. they needed a pound of flesh and it comes in the way of Ron Francis.
Starting point is 00:40:01 But to your point, you know, it's going to be a tough offseason to add anything that matters. Because when you look at free agency, there probably isn't going to be a lot there. I think most people believe that the guys who are pending free agents like Alex Tuck, likely going to sign, right? Like they're going to stay in Buffalo. So what I think Seattle and Jason Bauter will be looking at, is some of the teams that are going through what Toronto is about to go through, either a rebuild or a retool, whatever the reword you want to use,
Starting point is 00:40:36 and what pieces there might be available. But you're not looking for Matthias Machelli from the Toronto Maple Leafs. You're looking for, what are you going to do with Austin Matthews? Like, what are you doing with William Neelander? If Neelander decides he's not in it for the law, you know, that sort of thing. And I mean, it's not just Toronto. There'll be other teams in that mix. But, you know, that, that ownership group in Seattle, they're hungry and they should be hungry.
Starting point is 00:41:03 You know, they've been in and around it long enough. And how many times can you watch with the Vegas Golden Knights do on an annual basis before you okay? Well, what? Like, yeah, I mean, we didn't handle the expansion draft. I guess the way we should have. But, you know, there are other things we could have and should have done. So, you know, I don't know if you listen to Todd Lai Wiki in his media availability yesterday. I give that man
Starting point is 00:41:26 tons of credit, man. He cut right to the phone. He was not messing around. He was just like, yep, okay, we've had enough. And we're going in a different direction
Starting point is 00:41:36 and it starts right now. That's all fine and good, but that might be a long direction. It could be. You should be good now. I was going to ask you, and I don't know, because I think they're boring to watch,
Starting point is 00:41:47 to be quite honest. Who are they? And what's the cupboard like? When you talk about Montreal, clearly they're playing very well, and it's Montreal, and it's a celebrated franchise. But when I hear Seattle, it still feels like a collection of players
Starting point is 00:42:01 who have come in and put on the same jersey. I don't know who's on that team. And I don't even know who's coaching. Yeah. Well, I mean, Fender mentioned Baneers. You know, he's a nice player. I don't think that he's reached his top level
Starting point is 00:42:17 yet by a long shot. And if Seattle isn't convinced of that, and he is potentially a piece that might fetch you something better? I mean, if I were a team again in that mode where I'm shipping players out, he'd be high on my list. I'd take a flyer on that kid.
Starting point is 00:42:37 Because they do have to start moving the deck chairs here. It can't constantly be about, all right, you know, so yesterday it's Ron Francis. You know, there's a coaching change, all of that. At some point you've got to recognize that the foundation of the roster just isn't isn't good enough. To Boomer's point, it's all,
Starting point is 00:42:59 a lot of it is the same and that's just not, it's not, it's not, the third coach too. Yeah. Yeah. Like if you said, here's new franchise, I'm the owner, build me a plan to be good in five years. It's a disaster. They're bottom five in the league and you're five years in. This is what you were building towards.
Starting point is 00:43:16 And you're looking not far away at a team like Utah, right? Yeah. Who was pulled from the ashes from Arizona. but I look at the work that Bill Armstrong and management have done there and the influence of Ryan Smith, the ownership, and I can see Utah, they're a good team right now, but I can see that team getting really good, really good in the not too distant future.
Starting point is 00:43:41 And they, maybe to the point of Seattle, Utah has the assets to do something significant. Yeah, yeah. To pull in a real big piece. They do. They do. Just kind of last one for me, it just popped in my head when you mentioned Vegas, and I don't know. Torts comes in, first loss under Torts, so they're four and one now under Torts. He's only signed at the end of the season.
Starting point is 00:44:05 Does that feel like a situation where he's back next year, or is that still very much dependent on how the rest of the season goes? Yeah, the latter. It's dependent on how this season goes. And it's not unusual, but it is interesting. So he's essentially getting paid the Philadelphia money until the end of the year, right? So it's like he's paid for the balance of the year. You know, he was getting paid. He was doing media.
Starting point is 00:44:33 He was getting the same amount of money. So I give the man credit, right? He's back on an NHL bench. He clearly wants to be, still be an NHL coach. Well, how do you do that? You accept the invite from the Vegas Golden Knights. and you prove to Kelly McCremant and George McPhee that you still have lots of fire in your belly,
Starting point is 00:44:53 which he does, and you deserve a longer look. But they're not going to do that until the end of their year. Did you have something else? No, we could talk all day. There was lots of good games. Send Boomer that catalog of air-powered weapons.
Starting point is 00:45:10 It would be helpful. No gunpowder. Yeah, no gunpowder. I'm just surprised that Tiny didn't have that cabin ship shape. The squirrels would have been. worried for their lives. Yeah. Well.
Starting point is 00:45:23 Tiny's a lover. Love her not a finer. Well, and she's gone deaf in the last like two months or so. Like deaf. So her eyesight's good, but she's going to see it to react. Or she's just sick of your shift. Tiny. Just like the other person in the house.
Starting point is 00:45:40 My wife's guessing. I think the dog's going deaf. She doesn't listen at all anymore. Yeah, there's three of us in this house and apparently two are deaf. Have a good weekend, buddy. We'll talk to you. Okay, enjoy the Masters fellas. You betcha.
Starting point is 00:45:53 There he is. There, Dregor, TSN, Hockey Insider, our insider on the Crystal Waters plumbing heating insider hotline. I don't begrudge them if they don't do the woodpeckers. I'll talk to them, though. Who knows? While you're here putting in a water filtration system, can you go and shoot that's best on my room?
Starting point is 00:46:11 Combating Calgary's hard water and chlorine with the pollen and dust. You know what? They're fighting. They're fighters. You may not think about it, but they're fighting. They're fighting for you. Crystal Waters, plumbing and heating. 587, 317, 1551, or online at crystal clear Calgary.com. I think Torts is, bring it up, and I've been thinking about the Vegas team because I want them to beat Edmonton. I still don't know if they're any good. They've beat Vancouver twice.
Starting point is 00:46:46 They've pumped Edmonton once, but that's one game. And lost to Seattle. Yeah, they've lost to. Rock and last. Like, that's not overwhelming. And they didn't crush Vancouver. Nope. M-2-netter in one, one goal game in the other.
Starting point is 00:47:01 It's funny because we can, we can analyze the last two weeks the season all we want. Edmonton, Colorado, Vegas, Dallas, Minnesota, all these teams in the West that think they can be, like, they're going to be measured with how deep they go in the playoffs. That's that. It's not fair. But it is, but it is. Like, no one's going to say, oh, sports, those last 10 games are going to. I think you're giving it a soft touch, which is fine.
Starting point is 00:47:20 And I'm not trying to blow it out of the wall. I'm just saying that I would have expected even though that what are they four and one or three or I would have expected a better performances yeah in those and to give them credit their best performance was against emminton but you're right it's been a soft schedule
Starting point is 00:47:35 yeah it's crazy just get them right torres you know what he's trying them on for size as much as they're trying it's very early yeah so capital shev capital hebd.ca 13103 lake Fraser drive in the southeast calgary's truck destination
Starting point is 00:47:53 I took this video this more. Beautiful, I'd say. Capital Shave, line-up is deep, hard-working Silveradoes and Sierra's, the SUVs, everyday commuters. Have you maybe heard about the $99 lease? Competitive pricing, big inventory, and a team that knows how to keep it simple. Whether you need something built for winter roads or summer road trips, it's the place where you walk in, curious, you're leaving confident.
Starting point is 00:48:15 It's trucks, deals in a no-nonsense experience just the way Calgary likes it. 13103, Lake Fraser Drive in the southeast. Capital Shave, if you've not been behind the wheel. of the GMC Sierra Denali. You haven't lived. You're not living. Don daddy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:32 He ain't loving? He ain't living. And I'm loving it. You know what else? Talking about the habs. Like I, because we had dregs coming in there. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:41 So they got 30 for Slav Kosky. And he is, he's a moose. He's a huge. Enormous. He's a Canadian moose. Demadov, stud looks like. Yep. Coffield, couldn't make, 50 goals.
Starting point is 00:48:53 Can't make Team USA? No, he's no good. You know? Well, others didn't want to take him. Actually, we can't talk about Team USA because they won this. If they've got, if one of those goalies pans out, you know, they gave up picks to get Dobson. He's playing 22, 23 a night.
Starting point is 00:49:07 You know, Islanders are fine without him, obviously without that's how that's. That worked for everyone. And they got really did. They had such a full prospect cover. They didn't need two picks in the teams. They need to get better now. Good work. But what a night to you get 50.
Starting point is 00:49:19 You come back. You win. The prime minister was even in the dress. room after the games hang with the noise that's great what a chisling prick i thought he was an oiler's hawk i like that curse well i saw him wearing the jersey oh no he'll go wherever is he gets get votes ever doesn't he's a sense game box what's going on well don't work absolutely go watch hockey is that energy industry any good right now like is it like the oil and gas like is that we should be out here talking to those people is that a viable industry in today's world seems
Starting point is 00:49:55 important. I heard something about it the other day. I don't know. But I mean, think about that. What a great night. And then the PM walks in, like, I wouldn't need him right in a dance. Oh, sorry. You guys like, who's this?
Starting point is 00:50:10 You want to come to skate with us? Just be a Rob Ray rifle and she pox off him from across. I can't find it. Well, no, I thought if I had known it was going to go this way, I would not have brought it up. Oh, really? That's just a surprising outcome. Politicians stay out of sports.
Starting point is 00:50:27 Get your fat cat fucking retirement fund. What's those things? Pensions. Christ, they get a bunch of them. I love pension. Pay you forever. Hey, how about
Starting point is 00:50:37 watch hockey? How about gross? First NHL goal. I had two. He scored two. He did put two past the goal. The one counts. Did we get a little peek?
Starting point is 00:50:51 Is this could be maybe net front guy? Face off guy for sure. Face off guy, net front. Look at this. guy. That is not a 19 year old friends. It's a strong man on the face off
Starting point is 00:51:02 Dodd. Nice. Go see. Good for him. Yeah. I'm happy for his dad. I bet his dad was right gunned. Gunned. I wasn't like that's old man was right
Starting point is 00:51:17 proud. Yeah, I thought he was going to be the Cole Caulfield's dad like he's crying. Okay, so you two idiots. Jack, you don't have kids, so it won't include you. If you're your kid scores his first NHL goal, you're not going to crack a couple sasparillas? I thought you might first. I thought you meant gun as the gut, the puck went in.
Starting point is 00:51:35 Like he would just be, oh, my kids play and hockey. Probably was. No, you'd be, yeah, you absolutely have a celebratory. Hey, pop, your kid just goes, what? Another. You'd be so drunk, you'd miss it. Oh, probably did, but then. He said, never did get a good angle at that offside thing.
Starting point is 00:51:53 To be fair. I'm okay with that, Dean. I don't want to look any close. sir. I like the outcome. We'll move along. Team, this is like you not trusting the same thing at the end of the day. It's like, I have trust issues. I really
Starting point is 00:52:07 do. I have trust issues for sure. It was a trust of process night because they were working hard. They were getting no played by a team of the much better roster. The goalie was great, but they kept working and they kept working. I like that Wolf finally played like you can. Christ sakes. Probably his best game here.
Starting point is 00:52:22 Yeah. It was really good. So that was a, is that a backhanded compliment that I gave them or was that a compliment? Oh, you're just firing up the voice. Give it them a compliment. Yeah. Finally. Nothing's backhanded with you.
Starting point is 00:52:33 It's all straightforward. There's no reading in. You've been terrible. Play better. See on your ads. Kids like when you come out and practice with them, that's great. How about NHL games?
Starting point is 00:52:47 Let's go. Let's start that next year, though. By all means. Good point by you, Ryan. There's four left. Four left. I was actually thinking about this this morning too when I was standing in the sun.
Starting point is 00:52:56 Oh, you're doing that take your pants off, bend over into the sun thing. I was going to take the dog for a walk, but I was in my PJs and I was like, I can't walk. So I stand here. Anyway, you interrupted me. First time for everything. Now I forget where I was going to say. Stand in the sun.
Starting point is 00:53:15 Shish. It's a distraction. What I was thinking was this, that those poor fellas and poor, how hard is it? Yeah. They've been on a road a long time, right? So how many games they got left when they get home? Three once they get home. So they get home on a Saturday night.
Starting point is 00:53:35 Sunday morning. Okay. Now it's five times or maybe, whatever. So Saturday night, I'll call it. Seattle. And when's the last game? Thursday. Like, usually you're wound up for a Friday morning flight to get out of town.
Starting point is 00:53:52 I'm going on vacation. You've been traveling so much. Yeah. They might not want to get anywhere. They've traveled a lot. They definitely be sticking around. If my calendar is correct, they got on the road on the 29th of March because they played on the third. Can you go back a month?
Starting point is 00:54:11 I can do that. No one else can see this. Colorado on the 30th is that? They also had the long trip before. Yeah, the five gamer through New York and all that. And that was just. Yeah. The other day.
Starting point is 00:54:26 Just the other day. Five in the road, six at home, six on the road, three at home. So I was feeling bad. for the fellas. That's what I'm trying to say. Did you see it? Fatigue. Oh, a fatigue talking. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. They're lucky they got kids to play because they're. We should as well with show Blake Coleman. Congratulations. Yeah. Fourth child, they have a girl, girl, boy boy. And all the tag was families and down makes a little more sense now. Well, yeah, that made more sense seeing that. Absolutely. Mm.
Starting point is 00:54:56 Absolutely. So was he jetting into Seattle to play tonight? Oh. Oh. Good question. I don't know. I, I wouldn't be, uh, funny, take your time. I would absolutely be like, hey, you know what?
Starting point is 00:55:06 We'll see you in Calgary on Monday. Family's important. We're doing a locker cleanout day on the 19th. You want to swing by then? That's great. Take a week. That footy are still sore, eh?
Starting point is 00:55:16 That shoulder. Yeah, the shoulder time with. Swear and tear. Flair up a little bit over the, holding the baby. Probably not sleeping a lot, eh?
Starting point is 00:55:23 If I was cold and I would just throw my phone in my pool. Perfect. I don't get email. That's right. I don't get email. I mean, you do that now imagine if you're still playing yeah
Starting point is 00:55:33 old babies that can you know sometimes old cabby found up that he messed that meeting the other day and I'm like dude you have no idea what I this is not yeah it wouldn't even cabby who works down the hall he was we never got the full details the situation seemed to suggest that
Starting point is 00:55:52 he maybe missed an interview or a meeting or something because of a confusion with time zones he grew up in the eastern time zones you get out here it's different you come out here, it's not, it's not the Eastern Times. You're in the Eastern Times zone. Everyone just says the time, assuming you know, it's Eastern Times on. Here you got to adjust. Little do you know unless you kind of, oh, there's two hours difference. Oh, geez, that many. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:12 So you could not just miss something. You could miss it by a long time. It'd be way off. Yeah. I've done it. And he was outside, kind of like that, what, Ben Affleck, having the, having the exhausted smoke, us. He was outside venting. Got these kids in a home. I can't sleep. Greg, missing appointments.
Starting point is 00:56:33 God damn it. Yeah, kids are great. Congrats, Blake. Four of those, eh? Four kids. Four nannies are you once. Go get it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:45 That is still a while. Everybody has nannies. Oh, of course. Just the rich down here. If you have Blake Coleman's salary, that would be the move. It's like this schedule. Do you remember doing one of these where you never have a road trip? I guess of any.
Starting point is 00:56:59 length, but just say multiple. Two or more games on a road trip. You play on, you play one night, fly home and play the next night. After two weeks on the road. Yeah, it's, this is the, obviously the worst of that because it is such a long, it's the longest one of the season. Two things out east, completely different. Right. But second thing, I don't think I ever had a two week road trip in a season. Like, even when you're in Florida and you're going west. Yeah. I don't I never recall, I go for two weeks. And you know what else that I know that you appreciate is dumb things. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:37 Things that are stupid. I know you love that. I really like dumb stuff. Ask Ryan how many games are in the NHL tonight? How many games tonight, Ryan? I lost, I mean, the loaded set. I mean, like 14, so many. You're like, all right, that was great.
Starting point is 00:57:49 I need more of this. You could just answer the. Zero. Zero. Zero. There's no games. Zero. I kept looking and refresh my bet through 65.
Starting point is 00:57:58 I'm like, is the server down? This app's the best. best. It never makes mistakes. What's going on here? Oh, there's no games. No games. Saturday the 11th. I don't need Saturday the 11th. Friday, the 10th. Where is the Friday? Gary, what do we do?
Starting point is 00:58:12 For all the good that this league, I watched that Flyers sing last thing, a very small league, not a lot of fans. You could have bought the Philadelphia Flyers franchise for a cool two Schmill and brought him into town. Jeez, savvy. They've done some good things.
Starting point is 00:58:31 But some of the stuff they do, you're right, Dean. Dumb. There's some self-inflicted wounds. Idiotic. Especially when we hear how compressed it is and the Olympics and all that. And you're like, oh, you didn't want to use a game here. Yeah. So today, no games.
Starting point is 00:58:45 Yeah. Trade deadline day. Games. Zillions. Can you scan back to the September? How many games were in September? Oh. Oh.
Starting point is 00:58:55 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, but it's really condensed. Well, it's that start the. there was a split squad in the 21st of some day i know no no no look at all those empty days there in september dean yeah there's lots of empty stuff there or exhibition yes oh boy there's a lot in october though oh all of sudden we get to play
Starting point is 00:59:17 yeah yeah there's a bunch in there like anyway oh we couldn't push it one week in earlier now we did one of my gaslighting him is that what is what you call that because i knew a get a reaction. There's no games and a carny thing. It isn't always difficult, but some fucking people make it difficult. Get a chicken place. Like if you worked for the NHL in the big Apple,
Starting point is 00:59:43 and you went in and they said, we're going to go to the Olympics. Fuck yeah. It's going to be awesome. But that's a long time to be overseas, middle of the year. How are we going to do this? Well, how about starting to,
Starting point is 00:59:58 we started a little earlier? go a little later. You're Gary. Hey, Ger. That seems like rational thinking. Yeah. Let's look into it. Yeah, that would be. That's what you would say.
Starting point is 01:00:12 That's probably what you would do. But what did Gary say? Probably not that. You know, I know it's best. Trust me, guys. Just trust me. It doesn't seem difficult. It's like these
Starting point is 01:00:22 politicians, Mark. That doesn't seem that difficult. You're the owner of the flyers. Gary, you're really screwing us in the schedule. It was like, how much did you buy your franchise for? What is it worth now? Good night.
Starting point is 01:00:36 We could figure out a lot of the world issues. Just hash it out right here on a small little studio. Run by Jack Haverstock. Barlow, Harleup, Calgary, Alberta. Bring in some fished chips. Oh, so good. A conversation. What's your issue?
Starting point is 01:00:56 That's why we need a court, like the king's court. The king root court. Come on in. I'm going to hear your issues. issues and we're going to pass judgment. Does that be the jester? Offer advice. No bias, no preconceived notions.
Starting point is 01:01:10 We're very, because quite awesome, we don't really give a shit about, about any of you or whatever's going on in your life. I'm not in. But we'll hear your issues and then we'll, we'll, we'll decide what's going on for you. Fixers. There's a few in there. There's much. You need to watch the golf.
Starting point is 01:01:30 You need to do a little, you've got to do a little boomer. You got to press some things down because you're, Yesterday, you were literally running hot. I feel like today you're figuratively running hot. Your emotions are high. He's going to be stirred up. I pressed all that stuff down and now I get sick. He's going to have to get out of the rink before he's coming down.
Starting point is 01:01:49 I'll tell you that. Hey, Regear just texts me. He's a little idiot. Outdoor. Dot dental is the website. Sedation Dentistry, sleep apnea treatment, Invisaline, advanced dental technology. if you find, how often are you going to the dentist? You're going at least once a year.
Starting point is 01:02:09 You're going twice a year? Cleaning, routine stuff. You got an issue in there. It's like, geez, whenever I have a hot drink or a cold drink. I can only chew on the one side of my mouth, but I hate the dentist. You do not need to be avoiding the dentist.
Starting point is 01:02:21 You do not take care of yourself. Go to the dentist more. Go to the dentist more. And Dr. Jay Patel, there's Dr. Jay. Love you. Invested in the Soleil Laser. It has changed the way the dentistry is done. Also can affect and help your stuff.
Starting point is 01:02:35 your snoring if you're a snorer and we assume you are if you're watching this now painless solution two 15 minute treatments can last up to a year creating gentle tension in the soft palette to reduce snoring most insurance plans provide coverage to learn more you could book a consultation today at outdoor dot dental that's a 3d printer there they're not it's got all kinds advanced yeah i saw my jibs 3d printers yeah convenience and efficient dental appliances including night guards and Invisaline with the 3D on site. 3D printer. Right there.
Starting point is 01:03:11 Boom, done. Yeah. That's the last time you've been to a dentist, Jack. Didn't leave the house. Yeah. He's got an AI girlfriend and he's all set.
Starting point is 01:03:22 Oh, Jack, don't do that. There was a movie, wasn't there? What the fake girlfriend? That was mental. That was, yeah,
Starting point is 01:03:31 that was Chargers line back. That was cat fishing. We all learned what cat fishing was about. Right. There was a countryside about catfish, but that was different, like. He heard this morning.
Starting point is 01:03:41 Anyway. Anyway. Yeah, that's me. I don't leave. A.I. Girlfriend. Hot Jack Summer, though. He's going to be ready to go by standing.
Starting point is 01:03:48 Are we still on track? Yesterday, he ordered a salad at lunch so he could go to the gym. You know what? I'm actually going to bring this up because when I was standing in the shower this morning, I was thinking about this. That's the think, right? What were you thinking about somebody you were standing? Oh, my Jack?
Starting point is 01:04:03 You just shut up and listen every second. I'll sit here. In the shower, scrubbing the gybs. in the shard. You know what? Jack's the only guy that did anything to help me in my time of need.
Starting point is 01:04:20 Jack sent me an El Cruncho. Some mexy fries. One of the, I can't say the word the drink. Jaro. Jeritos? Joritos. What are we saying? Yeah. And you two
Starting point is 01:04:32 That's it. Thanks. Did nothing. not a water, not an Advil, not a nothing. So Jack, God love you. He's looking at you. I'm going to take you to Riccato for steak and pasta one night, baby. Oh my God.
Starting point is 01:04:53 Suck it. See, I was just interpreting that whole interaction as Jack finding a wheezel out of his bed to make a lasagna. I don't know you want you better. You were vulnerable and he off the bet. He wiped out his debts. That was an easy two-foot putt. I don't have the cool ranched Doritos under. Really?
Starting point is 01:05:08 Thanks to you two, though, for... Fuck all. I wouldn't play doctor with you, Rhett. You're way ahead of us. I have no medical advice for you. Some people's kids. Yeah, it's gonna be first... Then I got out of the shower.
Starting point is 01:05:26 Yeah, it's pretty good. Pindorport time for Villageana. The big buying is on $2 million bucks. What are they spending on? Your vehicle. Let's go. Maybe you got an extra. Maybe you got a kid.
Starting point is 01:05:37 Off he goes. Summer job. Moving. whatever it is. Get rid of that vehicle. Let's go. Lease expiring. Complementary appraisals means you don't pay. They're going to tell you what it's worth. You like the number? Shake hands. They're paying you in 24 hours.
Starting point is 01:05:49 Start the process at villagewomen.com. Or go say hi to Anthony and the gang in the Northwest Automall. Let's start with, I'm going to need you here. Last night, scored two, but really only scored one. Gross. Oh, that's that young lad. Yeah. Gross.
Starting point is 01:06:06 Calgary born. First NHL goal. with the flames. Pretty cool story. Look at this. Oh, that boy. Can't we show the goal? More exciting if we're swatted in a re-
Starting point is 01:06:20 I don't think we can, but are you avoiding showing the goal? Do you have the goals from last night's after Bernadjacker or no? I don't care, but I've, the reason. I'm going to, I'm just, this is another advice thing, like, we're going to talk about the guys. Yeah, go to ask the boss. What do you say boss?
Starting point is 01:06:35 We can't find the right version of the goal. Okay. You're really good friend, pal and soulmate. Mike Gould was writing over at Daily Faceoff.com. Oh, he writes too. Yeah, and right off the backs of you calling him a fucking floater. Matt May Gridden is defying convention to become the flames next young star. What the hell's convention?
Starting point is 01:06:59 It's a traditional way of doing things. Is it? Conventional. That is the hypothesis Gould will try to prove here. Or he's testing. I'm going to read that and I'm going to call Google, tell him. Give him a piece of your mind. But he is a good player.
Starting point is 01:07:17 End of the first round. You've set of the ton rate and you're 100% right. Pick and higher, that's great. You've got to hit on your picks. This one, friends, late in the first round, just two years ago, it's a hit. Unless he's a floater. If he's floating going two thirds of a point of a game, I'll take it. But you're right.
Starting point is 01:07:33 There's more there. There is more there. Expectations are low when you start. And then you have a good year. And then the floating shows up. And then Pinky were like, what the hell happened to this guy? Sharon Govich. Got a helper, I believe, on the, uh, Sherrill lost.
Starting point is 01:07:51 Sure. Sure. Anyway, we like him. Go get him, kid. We like them. Very good. Keep going. Don't stop now.
Starting point is 01:07:58 Uh, they did a bunch on him on Afterburner last night, uh, interactions with him, the Wranglers. It's first pro season. This is looking like your best forward. First pro year. That's a good thing to happen. Uh, what about the next good young defenseman for the counter? Well, there might be a new one.
Starting point is 01:08:11 This was earlier this morning, 6 a.m. Pike, sleep, you creep? What? Did you type it all night? 6 a. 6 a. Mike! Come on, wrench.
Starting point is 01:08:19 Holy. Pike was up at midnight. The wrench does not sleep. Or he just pressed auto publish at 6 a.m. But we'll pretend he didn't sleep. Wee watches on as Nodak was eliminated yesterday in the one semifinal of the Frozen 4. Did anyone watch this game? Jack, it was the second game, I was going to watch it.
Starting point is 01:08:37 And then the Masters and all the. And Masters. Tough competition. Tough competition. Like, is he good? I'm a Texas guy. So let us continue. That was at 6 a.m.
Starting point is 01:08:47 And then later, the Grand Forks Herald reported this. We have assigned 6 to 3 junior defensemen. Second team, all NCHC honors. Had a really good season with the fighting hawks, I believe. And this guy that plays the left side, they happen to have an injury to Hanley.
Starting point is 01:09:08 they also happen to be missing Kevin Ball. I won't be surprised at all if this guy gets lots of opportunity here in the next stuff for final games of the season. Pike giving you the nerdy stuff for the CBA. It's an entry-level contract. It will be two years because he'll burn year one here in the last week of the year, which I think's great. You usually pay more for guys after the third season than second.
Starting point is 01:09:31 There's no offer sheet eligibility. Remember that with Johnny. He played Game 82 scored. His next contract came up, no one could offer shoot. Not that I'm worried about offshoots for Abram Weeb, but there's more strategy to burning year one than I think that's changed a bit than what we thought 10 years ago. So his first year of full season,
Starting point is 01:09:48 we'll be the second year of residential level, next season. And we'll see where he plays. What the hell did you just say? There. Keep moving. More Weeb. Whipy.
Starting point is 01:09:55 More words. Slow down. Sounds like Weave has signed. Weave has signed. Some people want to know what burning year one. Other people don't. But you're mumbling your way through it. Just let us.
Starting point is 01:10:07 it nice and calmly. People are familiar with how the burning of year one works. Yeah. Three year deal. You play one game that burned. We've seen it happen before. It will happen again. Very good.
Starting point is 01:10:17 Let's move to a happy birthday celebration. All first, uh, human. Yeah. Or this. Yeah. This is the right order.
Starting point is 01:10:23 I just, it's the right order. I just, just have a breath. Here, I'll just play some music. Does that it seem like, is.
Starting point is 01:10:29 Do you do master's music? That would really give me back on track here. Let's we move to the 15. I don't know where it went sideways. It was just, I'm grumpy and he's, This is off kilter. Jonathan Hebrito with his resurfaced hips.
Starting point is 01:10:46 The five iron. That looks like it's over the back of the green. King Clancy nominee award. The King Clancy, of course, Red, is for excellence in the field of excellence, the contributions, the community. Is it voted on by the players? Each team has a nominee. He's the Flames nominee.
Starting point is 01:11:05 Congratulations. I think I was up for that once, too, sadly. What did you win? The Skirfield? I didn't win the team award. this is a league one, but each team will have a nominee. I went into Buffalo and took it from Rob. Oh, he would have been sour. You ready to wish?
Starting point is 01:11:23 I deserve it more than that. You ready to wish someone a happy birthday? Yeah. Guest is 41 today. Didn't have his whole career in Calgary, but God his best hockey was here. And he came onto the scene like a Redmond ball. Happy birthday.
Starting point is 01:11:41 I'm touching up. Look at this. Bonuf. Flames alumni, great accounts on the old X. Happy 41st. Gosh, we must be getting old. 378 games of the Flames. It felt like more.
Starting point is 01:11:53 75 goals. That's a lot for a defenseman. Hey, I sent him this in 2024. I sent him a happy birthday. Is that the last text you sent him? No. A while ago. He said,
Starting point is 01:12:07 what? Hitz was the thing. It's in the tweet. He was an absolute, what would we call it, bulldozer. Like there were heavy hits and then there were Dion hits.
Starting point is 01:12:18 He was the best of the league at destroying people. He hit the islanders in preseason as hard as you can hit people. It was, yeah. It's a double Dion. I don't have a Pierre-Raguire voice, but, you know.
Starting point is 01:12:32 Happy birthday Dion. Probably still working with the Kings, I believe in the best of it. I do believe he is. I think he was in town just like they hear that. Well, they'll be here next week. You can get them some cake. Maybe some of that shoveler poked the hole
Starting point is 01:12:44 in, Maybe he'll come with a little cream on title. Oh, Jackie. Jack would love that. What happened to your cake, Brett? You sent the photo last. Yeah. The kid with the,
Starting point is 01:12:53 that sucked the caramel out of the bottle. Oh, yeah. And then drank the score bits out of the bag. Jerk. He also decided to scrape the top and just, yeah. I was hoping it wasn't chunk. It used to me lick.
Starting point is 01:13:06 You'd kick that dog out of the house. Chunk knows. Yeah. Chunk wouldn't. Yeah. Chunk wouldn't do that. Chunk wouldn't do it. One more look at the final.
Starting point is 01:13:15 four games of the calendar. It is, there's your Seattle result coming up on Saturday. Big game. We'll go get the stairs in a moment. Cracken did a huge favor. No, towards the California. Whoever it did it, thank you. Mammoth, obviously
Starting point is 01:13:31 the day after, that's a tight turn for the flames. Two weeks on the road and then you play 7 p.m. on a Sunday. Don't know that the energy of the building is going to carry it for that one. And then the final two of the season, Abbs again, all three games in the season series on that final road trip and the final home stamp.
Starting point is 01:13:46 Crazy. Crazy. Crazy. Crazy. And the Kings will close it out. We'll see what they're playing for. They suddenly look like they're in the driver seat for that final wildcard with Nashville losing last night and them victorious. Speaking of the finals, let's go right to them on a huge couldn't move any of these to today apparently. No. 14 games, 28 teams in action. We'll start on Long Island, Dino, where we had in our bets. The aisle's taking care of business against the Leafs. They did indeed do that.
Starting point is 01:14:14 ends a four games skid for the Islanders. They're now one back in the Metro, Flyers, Islanders, three games left. Sweet Pete DeBoer's first game after a mini training camp they were calling it. They had four days off. They hired him. He's 1 and 0 all their games remained at home. Sabres blank the jackets.
Starting point is 01:14:34 So tough loss for the blue jackets. Obviously, Sabres, we know what they're doing. They're running for first overall there in the division. They've won three straight. Josh Dohn, two goals up to 25. Love Josh Dome. J.G. Petirca has 24 goals if you're keeping track, looking back. Never mind the Kessler ring, yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:52 Sabres, two up on Montreal, habs have a game in hand. Talked a bunch about that game. Yeah. Montreal 2-1, Coffield, 50. Habs are two backs of Sabres. Ottawa, big wins, Sanderson, two helpers. Be back. Sends of one, three straight and four of five. Three up on Detroit and the Islanders for the second wild card.
Starting point is 01:15:09 Philly, what are you doing here? Flyers lose. Most side are five points. Whoa. Dylan Larkin hat trick. Wings had lost five of six but come through with a big one here. The last D-Man for the Detroit Red Wings to put up a five-point effort. Reed Larson in 1985.
Starting point is 01:15:24 Who? I know. And I believe he hits the 50 assist plateau there first time since Lundstrom. Kane, three points. He's won away from 1,400. De Brinket, 40 goals. Wings, I guess, are still, we'll look at the standings in a bit. It's a big win.
Starting point is 01:15:38 They're three back. Is there a quieter 40 goals than De Brinket? It's a bit, yeah. Holy. What he does. He's good at it. Wings, big win for them, big loss for the flyers. So that's what this time of season is all. That is threatening the all Pennsylvania, two, three in the metro. Yep.
Starting point is 01:15:55 Victory lap for Jack and the Penguins. They beat the Devils five to two, Chinikov three points. Penguins. Wait, can I ask, where does Chinikov come from? He was drafted by Columbus. Because, like, they can't score right. Correct. And was Chinikov the problem?
Starting point is 01:16:11 Or was Everson the problem? Well, Chinikov did not like. Dean Eveson. And they fought, so they traded Chinochkov and fired. That was the Marx of Ardick. That's very Marx of Ardhian. Gross. Also the same thing in L.A.
Starting point is 01:16:22 Jordan Spence, who wasn't getting along with Jim Hiller? Oh, we're going to keep Jim. Fire Jim anyway. Like, shit, we could use a Jordan Spence right now. We don't need CC on the ice. Penguins are off to the playoffs for the first time since the 21, 22 season. They will finish second and have home ice in round one. Sid, welcome back to the playoffs.
Starting point is 01:16:40 Let's go. So we're going to Buffalo at N. Pittsburgh. We're going to have a two-week road trip. Jets beat the Blues 3-2, third straight win for the Jets. They've also picked up seven of their last nine. Another two points for Shifley, who has 16 in his last eight, and is one point away from 100 points on the season.
Starting point is 01:16:58 I think Nixizu Kis are one or two away as well. Blues have lost four of six. Good night. Jets are three back of the Kings, two back of the Preds. Stars and Wild. Big win there for Dallas. We talked about Mira Hayeskin and leaving. Could be bad news there.
Starting point is 01:17:15 Either way, that's a little bit of a cushion for the stars who are now four up on the wild. And that was the classic dresser rehearsal. We know we're playing each other. We're destined for each other. When lose, sure, but let's send some messages. One Filino had a guy pinned. The other one was punching.
Starting point is 01:17:28 Great stuff from the wild. Utah 4-1 over the predators. We talked about the mammoth. Are they going to be no fun? Are they going to, we know what they're going to finish? They can score and they're on a bit of a heater. They're 5-0 and 0 in their last 5. which would mean five straight wins.
Starting point is 01:17:42 No thing. They clinch a playoff spot as well for whatever that's worth. Anaheim, they bounced back. Not Leo, but John Carlson Hattrick for the Ducks last night. First ever Hattrick. Ducks had lost six straight. I wouldn't be surprised by that. He's a defense.
Starting point is 01:17:57 I'm just surprised he got one. If you're going to say he's going to get a hatchet, I wouldn't have guessed late 30s is crazy. The Cracken do win over Vegas after we've shit talked to all show. Rightfully so. Thank you, Cracken. Two goals for Marks. Stone, Vegas blew a two-goal third period lead.
Starting point is 01:18:13 Oh, dear. Bobby McMahon has scored nine times for the Crackens since the trade that line. That's a lot. Yeah, I suppose it gets thrown out in there. I don't like to. Nine. And the Kings beat the Koducks 4 to 1, Kempay, two goals. 4-1 in their last five are the Kings.
Starting point is 01:18:26 Second Wildcare. Did you skip the Cains and the Hawks? I did. It's not worth their time. That's fine. Don't give a shit. Yep. Let's keep moving then.
Starting point is 01:18:32 Let's look at the updated odds of playoffs following those results last night. These are updated. You'll see the movement in said standings after last night's results. Look at the Philadelphia drop 16% of the half chances. They're now a coin toss to get in. And the Isles, was it a big win?
Starting point is 01:18:49 You're damn right, it was, up 21%. Did it over the Kings. They jumped big time with that win over the Canucks. And the Preds, tough time to lose because Washington Kings didn't play and still. Bones, we feel for him? Nice little run there. He had a great run, but I couldn't say hot forever.
Starting point is 01:19:08 Chinikov, if you're firing Evanson, whatever you may want to evaluate your squad well am I that's tough they can't score
Starting point is 01:19:23 maybe wouldn't be as good without the Pittsburgh and Dan the man but Dan the man does seem to be the tonic for everything you kind of gave up
Starting point is 01:19:33 on a guy and then dumped the coach anyway yeah I don't know what they're going returning I think it was a second Yeah. Then they span a bunch to, well, Columbus did anyway, to go and get the guy out of Vancouver.
Starting point is 01:19:50 Connor Garland. He was on fire out of the gates. Let's look at some potential matchups here with the results of the games last night and these odds changing. We also know the probability of teams that are going to play each other in round one. We know that the wild and stars are locked in. How about the flyers only a coin toss now that the penguins will get them in round one? Jack who do you want here I want Philly
Starting point is 01:20:13 I think we beat Philly I think they're exciting games high scoring games I think the islanders are a better team and they'd be more boring games yeah if DeBore gets his claws into them they're going to defend because that's that was the knock on
Starting point is 01:20:27 Paddy Roy their D zone wasn't great Sorokin was keeping them games that they didn't have any business being in if the war is going to get anything fixed it's probably the D zone Flyers have Montreal Winnipeg and Carolina or maybe too focused
Starting point is 01:20:40 with what things look like on paper because I'm guessing Pittsburgh Islanders would also be very good but there's just something about the flyers and penguins that would Yeah, I don't know that it's Battle of Alberta or Florida level or Ontario but like that that would be your most hated team if you live in Pittsburgh. Of course you want to pound them.
Starting point is 01:20:59 Okay, next matchup that we could look at after last night's win, the Habs incredibly likely to see more of the lightning because that win helps Buffalo's chances of winning the division, which would leave Montreal and Tampa in the two three slot. We'll see. That's very high odds. And there's lots there.
Starting point is 01:21:17 There's the Marty St. Louis angle. Corey Perry. Cory Perry. Hicking on Lane Hudson last night. Beautiful stuff. It's like you are just these. They're missing heaven. They're missing some other guys.
Starting point is 01:21:28 Hagle, you noted. And Tampa has bullied teams this year. What we saw Florida do in the last two years, Tampa has done to other teams this year. this is a really interesting matchup and I don't know that last night's result means anything about what a series it would look like but I'm all for it yeah I'm with you I don't know bad series for Montreal
Starting point is 01:21:44 that's true because the Bruins is a great rivalry and the Sends would be good hockey Sabres hell yeah two best buildings in the league Leafs or Red Wings go away yeah the Red Wings might suck some fun out of it they're not making it I'm not worried about As for the Sabers you might get an old Patrick division matchup the Sabers and Burns
Starting point is 01:22:01 May Day! Was it not Adams Adams? Adams is your was that's right thank you yeah Ottawa still a chance of them still chance of Tampa it's been some good series with Ottawa on some bad blood back in the day tell me about Ottawa Buffalo series that I might have forgotten 99 okay
Starting point is 01:22:19 would beat them and they would have been there was the fighting with Behran and uh remember the goalies were going adela Andrew Peters was Lindy Ruff was going after Brian Murray and that's right now would 99 have been the the Havlat Hosa Alfordson era or not. Yeah, because they were high skill, but they couldn't get it done. Yeah, they couldn't get a win against us, though.
Starting point is 01:22:41 No, not on Ritz watch, folks. John Carlson, we noted it, the Hattrick, pretty impressive. He's going to fit in. He's a puck mover. He's good at offense. That is absolutely how Quenbole and the Ducks play. Three goals last night. Very good.
Starting point is 01:22:56 Oh, I see. First career, Hattie. That we talked about this already. Let's look at the standings, right? That's pretty good. Standings, indeed. let's do it. There's the ultra-competitive Atlantic.
Starting point is 01:23:09 They were all tied two days ago. Now there's change, but only two games left for Buffalo. But Detroit can't get into the Metro? No, they can only try to chase Ottawa. They're hooked. So Detroit can max out at 97 points, meaning the Sends would only need, what, three or four, depending on a tie break in their last three games.
Starting point is 01:23:31 And Ottawa's been playing well. None of those are really coming. back to the pack. There's no one limping their way in. Philly and they, yeah. Christ, Ottawa could catch Boston. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:23:43 They very much could catch Boston. Ottawa plays the Islanders on Saturday. Oh, that's a huge game. Not today, of course. No, not today. No game.
Starting point is 01:23:53 Afternoon game. Okay, number 12. Jack, what do we got to? Do you want to look at the West? Yeah, let's go the West first.
Starting point is 01:24:01 Okay, good. Jack, do you just want to do this? I mean, he's all over the place today. I missed the standings earlier. My apologies. Let's look at Pacific sucks. All those teams of the Pacific would be outside of the playoff picture in the east.
Starting point is 01:24:12 All of them. All of them. What did you do last night? I needed a drink. I didn't have any lost in. We went for beers. I'm then withdraw. Two at lunch.
Starting point is 01:24:21 That's not a drink last night. Guinnesses are 4%. Settle down, Jack. I had two at lunch. As most people do. I'm worried about you. Don't be worried. Beautiful things.
Starting point is 01:24:34 Scramble. Bottom 10? Ish. Seattle, look how big those two points are. If the Flames had somehow got a victory last night or even a point and Seattle didn't come back on Vegas, we would have all the fear going into tomorrow's Flames, Seattle game, about the Cracken passing the Flames and the Inverse standings.
Starting point is 01:24:55 Four points, a lot more comfortable. Chicago's going to be tough, fellas. We're not going to be. They got thumped by Carolina. So much so that Dean didn't even mention them. Didn't mention it. That's how bad they got beat. Yep.
Starting point is 01:25:09 There's your bottom of the standings. We'll do a tankathon to end of the show. Every time I see Vancouver, I think about Adam Foote standing behind the bench. What have I done? Paycheck's nice, but I'm miserable. Bears. President's trophy for the abs, no surprise there. Wire to wire.
Starting point is 01:25:26 As for said, President's trophy, 52 wins so far. 56. The record. That's a lot. Hoi. 21, 22. I think that's the other one. They set a lot of records in that 21, 22 season, obviously, when you win 56 bloody games.
Starting point is 01:25:43 Hey. Okay. Mammoth are in. Congratulations. Love to see it. That's going to be a good building. The excitement of hockey in the market was there last year. They didn't even have a team name.
Starting point is 01:25:54 They hadn't fixed the seats that couldn't see one of the nets. Now they got a name. The rink's been upgraded. They got a Zamboni mammoth thing. You know me? details guy, right? He is. It's a little misleading there.
Starting point is 01:26:08 NHL's newest franchise? They have said, and they are consistent with it, that the Phoenix slash Arizona franchise is sort of in hibernation and that this is a new franchise, even though they just gave them all the players. So the record book, the logos are all still held
Starting point is 01:26:24 somewhere else. I don't know if anyone's going to believe it, but that's what the NFL is telling us, and that's why they're using that language. Sounds very politician. It's a little fishy, isn't it? It's almost like they're going to bring a team back to Phoenix and five years and they got a new rank. I'm going to say some things. Non-losers owning the team.
Starting point is 01:26:37 The truth. And a building in the right spot. We're on a constant crusade for the truth here. Jack, you're going to love this. I don't know why we've got to close these blinds all the time. We don't have games tonight, but we will have games Saturday, Sunday.
Starting point is 01:26:52 And both Saturday and Sunday, we will have OV Sid. Sunday, Sunday. Sid's resting. What? No, I don't. I hope he does. He doesn't need to play.
Starting point is 01:27:02 Home ice is locked up. I can't decide. now because I love Jack so much lately, right? You do love Jack? You're thinking about him in the show? Yeah, a big fan of Jack. Do you think the NHL PR would lie to us? It says they're facing off.
Starting point is 01:27:13 I'd arrest his ass. Why? Why play him? I'm with Jack. I'm with Jack. I actually don't disagree. I mean, fought of it. Wait, they can't go to first.
Starting point is 01:27:21 They can't drop to third. Jeez, might be the Wilkes. You could also dress him. Wilkes bar or scrant. I'll tell you what. Dan, the man, don't get to decide. No. That is a Sydney Cros.
Starting point is 01:27:35 What do you want to do, Sid? Well, Sid's not going to. Hey, boss. Does he play one of them? Yes. I think he played the home game. I'll say he plays both. Saturday.
Starting point is 01:27:47 The end of the Minnesota Dallas game we alluded to. Let's watch a bit of this. This is fun stuff. Message sending before he, what's going to be probably the banger of round one. Strong candidate to be the best opening round series. Two teams in the top three in the West will clash. These two played last night.
Starting point is 01:28:02 Empty net. Games over. Nothing to play for. four. I'm sorry? Not to neutralize and all the way down the walk. Hughes lost their stick. Wyatt Trouttson is there.
Starting point is 01:28:13 We have a penalty called. And now we've got a melee as well. It's not the best melee in the world. It isn't, but it's just a reminder that this game is over, but they're not even thinking about this game. But you watch this. This was very much a, I guess, should, do we set the tone? The game had a lot of them.
Starting point is 01:28:34 A lot of skirmishes. but yeah, even when it was over, they weren't done yet. That'll be a great serious. Can't wait. Just a tease. I hope you're right. Oh, I think he's right. It'll be a good series.
Starting point is 01:28:46 Minnie was up in this game, does come back when it'll be good. And I hope Asking is playing to your point because that would be a lot of time. Both teams have green. Yeah. Notting their jerseys. Yeah. It's always good.
Starting point is 01:28:57 Both teams could do better with their jerseys. The wild should just go back to those North Star. Yeah, I don't know what's. Yeah, their reverse retroes were elite. Unbelievable. And have you seen the throwback? back jersey the stars are wearing with the big star cut out on the front those that have been ripping those as a third this year they're awesome they wore those in 90s I'm sorry not
Starting point is 01:29:13 about red sorry right we'll just keep moving here hey Gary you chisling prick what was the rule we had they changed it where they call check every call now you're a politician you're fucking like him oh and chicken You like the Sabres. This is a light in your mood. Some guy was right behind the Sabres bench with a sweater that said, Sarbez. And the Sabres were like, we can't let the stand.
Starting point is 01:29:53 This asshole's on TV all night. He's got some T-moon knockoff from some factory in China that says Sarbes. Is this like some AI stuff? No, this is legit Buffalo social media account. They're like, we can't let this ass hat be wearing that hoodie on TV anytime we pan to the bench. It's not even the French version. Here's a free hoodie. It's a shot door lace out of bay.
Starting point is 01:30:16 Is that ice cream or frozen yogurt? What do we got there? Wow. I love stripy. This is proof that even a broken clock's right twice in it. This moron, buy some knockoff gear shows up the rink and he gets a free hoodie. I got to tell you. Vives are high in Buffalo.
Starting point is 01:30:31 When we go to the game, the football game of Buffalo, you're going to see a lot of pop up. Yeah. Bill's. Some merch. Merch. Maybe not team. Maybe not. Doesn't have the NFL hologram on the tag?
Starting point is 01:30:45 Okay. Interesting. That may have come from one of those locales. Well, I'll give you a deal. Jack, have you been making sweaters? Because that spelling is dog shit. Yeah, that's the Jack. It looks comfy.
Starting point is 01:31:00 That's crazy. Speaking of Jack, we had too much fun yesterday, so we have to do it again. Here's so we asked who cares. Nice. So Jack, just the series that started. Yes, the big friendly dogs against you, Brunswick. The dogs take games. one the bar
Starting point is 01:31:14 it was the Ontario bar yeah the lawyers so uh yeah 67s and bar won that were one okay good what other results did we have in the NFL defense or was it the draft draft take game one against the BLB
Starting point is 01:31:28 yeah they got blob one nil there nothing in the western league yet those starts in the blob it's a great team name I love blob that's it just three games yeah rest will get ripping this weekend thanks jack
Starting point is 01:31:42 boys. Calgary hit with the road in Medicine Hat tonight and then the home games for three and four Monday Wednesday. So three and four to start. Busy, busy. Okay. We had Frozen Four stuff.
Starting point is 01:31:54 I think boom is the highlight of the game winner for D.U. Is that right? Well, you talked about earlier, the first game disappointment for North Dakota. Yeah. And then Michigan and Denver. What was that Denver team name again? What was that? Denver. Starts with the Pee, the plumbers.
Starting point is 01:32:10 Yeah, anyway. Double overtime. The winner advance. John Anderson wants it. He's the hero. So close. After all this time. Occupation to start with fear. First goal of the year, by the way.
Starting point is 01:32:38 Good time to get it. O.T sends you to the Frozen Four final. They'll face. Who won the first game, right? Wisconsin. Wisconsin Badgers. The raccoons. Oh, damn it. I bet Pittsburgh to not win to make the playoffs.
Starting point is 01:32:55 That's when Siddy got hurt and Malcolm got suspended. I told him. Count of them out, right? Dan the man. His odds are not high enough. He's 50 to 1 to win the coach. What more do you have to do? Everyone thought you're going to be the last.
Starting point is 01:33:05 Everyone's having career years. Resurrection the old guys. Chinokov looks like a star. Come on. Get some Dan the man. These games in Vegas? Yes. We'll be fun.
Starting point is 01:33:15 Speaking of Vegas, always busy. It doesn't matter what time. apparently except for one place, wherever the pioneers are staying. I believe this is David Carl, the head coach, a hot shot candidate who will probably coach in the NFL soon. They've won a bunch of titles recently. He's been great with Denver.
Starting point is 01:33:32 Let's hear what he has to say about getting out of here quick. He said, let's do this now. We've got to get out of here. Recovering from this game is going to be a challenge, correct? Oh, no. The hotel told us we don't get back by 1045. We don't get to eat. So we need to get the hell out of here.
Starting point is 01:33:49 What's going on? Maggie's kicking a meal at 1030? What? I'm not buying. Really? I don't think he's making it up. That feels like something that, yeah, they, it's a bit odd.
Starting point is 01:34:01 Yeah, very specific. The chef's like, what the hell's going on here? I got 36 chicken parms. How many? Hour and a half late already. How many rooms do we need to book? Before we can. He's double O T.
Starting point is 01:34:14 The timetable. Get a bloody meal. We'll keep that room, but you can, you've only got it to 11. Food. I have to get out. Get out of there. When is the final?
Starting point is 01:34:21 Sunday. Saturday or Sunday? Saturday. Saturday. Perfect. Thursday, Saturday. So good luck to the pioneers. And the Wisconsin manager.
Starting point is 01:34:31 Eric Jameson is the Flames prospect playing for D.U. Freshman this year. We'll go back next year. Good luck too. Okay. That was your non-NHL hockey update. CHL NCAA. Let's go to the major leagues of baseball where we had this.
Starting point is 01:34:49 Incredible sequence. The Padres have been held to one hit through the first four. And it's Nola Growning. It's softly frilling up into the air to make the throw. And what a stretch. That's a pitcher, falls. And what a play.
Starting point is 01:35:04 I don't know that you'll see a pitcher make a better play if you went through the last half century of TV archives of games. Turn, fire. It looks like bloody shortstop there. Well done. I love the San Diego. City Connect. Stop dating.
Starting point is 01:35:19 Nice hats, boys. Because you're wearing the hat today. Someone was asking in the chat. The, by the way, Patrick Corbyn, going to make his Jay's debut tonight. Open a three-game set against the twins at home, and then they're off on the road to face the Brewers. That's the Blue Jays update.
Starting point is 01:35:36 Cavary FC on the pitch. Sunday, Sunday, Sunday against Athletico, Ottawa, the team they lost to in the snow in the league championship. Get fired up, Cavs fans. We're so back. Jameson's from here. Cobber, buddy? Yeah, sweet.
Starting point is 01:35:53 Here are your odds. Calvary favored. The ties plus 250. Cabs are even money to win at home. A little revenge and a rematch of the championship last year. 4 o'clock start, or 2 o'clock start, Acofield. Fortune 100. Damn, 24 hour o'clock.
Starting point is 01:36:09 Hoof. A couple fun ones to send us into the weekend. Rhett says things. The world reacts. the floating Furnt. Don't believe this is on
Starting point is 01:36:25 Nationgear. But it is a submission. Well, no, because it's a red shirt. Yeah,
Starting point is 01:36:29 we don't have red. That's a good point. And if you like that shirt, you'll love the next one. Everyone's excited about Jack Summer because it is hot
Starting point is 01:36:40 Jack Summer, apparently with itty on. This is not worth it. Jack's been in the gym. And I thought those were beers in the crew. It looks like always been in, your filter is broken.
Starting point is 01:36:52 It looks like it's a case of beer. I think that's, All ditty oil. Jeez. Jack. What are we cooking up? What are you cooking? There's the shrimps on the bear.
Starting point is 01:37:02 Berks? Looks fun. Fun. Man. Are this croissant which is Dean? Split for the North Stars. The Canucks. Still looking at James.
Starting point is 01:37:16 Is in the edge? Wealthy. Said the man with 20 million in career. That's your Pinned report this Friday, April 10th. Spring Tire event is on now at Village Honda. Seasons are changing. We're seeing it right now. Do I myself for your chance to save up to 140 bucks on a set of tires,
Starting point is 01:37:39 village honda.com for more details. It's your dealership for life. All right. Well, let's wrap this up because Reggie wants somebody to buy him lunch. Does he? I'm going to get some scoops. Do you have any shots you want to take at him? I know you had a good blasted staging on the way out the door.
Starting point is 01:37:54 I wasn't, but I'm not afraid to stay or, yeah, stage, Reggie, throw me through the window. Buddy mine was talking about his kid, volleyballer. Oh, I walk. some play the other day over at seven chiefs holy he's good yeah smashing it i believe committed to u of us as well yes which is super which well and also it's idiotic because we had kids close together and that means his kids gonna be in college yeah university yep oh oh you got that coming soon i'm so old happens fast oh god damn uh all uh all
Starting point is 01:38:34 Also, Stu's granddaughter. You won, they're off to Moncton. That's great. What sport is this? This is the hockey. The Alperdaq. You've got your name of the 18 AAA. He's just talking about volleyball.
Starting point is 01:38:49 I was sure. The Sutter Chiefs, I think they're called. That's right. The Sutter Fun Chiefs. Cool. Go get them. Good work Settors. Good work, Stu's granddaughter.
Starting point is 01:38:59 I like Chris. Listen, hurry up because I've got to go for lunch with Reggie. Shut up. His son, I think, is going to play volleyball, which makes me think I had my child. I'm getting old. It's been a Stu's daughter. It's been a tough week.
Starting point is 01:39:18 It has been, for all of us. We're battling through things. Yeah, we're fighting. I don't know what's with you. It's a battle for sure. We love you, but I don't know. You were very kind of lost. I'm excited about next week.
Starting point is 01:39:31 We're going to put this team to bed. You've got the playoff draft on front. Friday. Yeah, no, that's not why. It's playoff starting next week. It's not. Maybe I need that third Guinness. It wasn't the second. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:39:43 One more or something. It was off sea level there. Yeah. Yeah. Let's do our bet three, six, five bets. No hockey tonight. Can't do hockey. The hell, Gary.
Starting point is 01:39:52 All right. When there is hockey. Yeah. And you're tired of waiting for the end of the game to get paid. Well, that's where bet three six five comes in. I actually went and got the Stanley Cup features as well. So you still can't finish the read, Ryan. Geez.
Starting point is 01:40:05 Bet 365, official partner of the NHL, three-goal early payout. If the team you're riding goes up three goals at any point in the game, they'll pay your bet out early. Hockey moves fast and now with three-gole early payout, there's one less thing you have to wait around for. It's bet 365. Download the app and see what early payouts all about must be 19 or older. Please play responsibly.
Starting point is 01:40:26 And tell me. Got some baseball? We got some soccer on the weekend. Minnesota Twins open their series in Toronto. They good? It's like everything is breaking news to him. What's up? What's breaking news?
Starting point is 01:40:43 It was like you were seeing your own bet for the first time. Okay, so... I send Jack two and one shows up on the screen. We already did the soccer. We showed the odds of the game, not the bets. Thank you, Jack. Are the twins good? They, I just think, are coming off a sweep coming into Toronto.
Starting point is 01:41:00 They've got Simeon Woods Richardson, a former Jay's prospect on the bus. He does not strike out a lot of guys. So I'm taking the under on three and a half strikeouts. Corbin might have been hit. But the Jay's got a bunch of injuries. So he's back in the league, 36 years old. I think four of his last five starts last year.
Starting point is 01:41:15 He was five K's. So we're going to hit the over on four and a half. And Vladie's been taking some walks. He's starting to look good, which means you get to three balls on him. Maybe don't throw the meatball. Just get them up base. So those three things. Plus 825.
Starting point is 01:41:27 That feels like a typo. Let's chase it. Are the twins good? They, I believe, are game over 500? Seven and six. Do you believe them to be good? There are only four teams or 500 in the A.L. Right now.
Starting point is 01:41:38 I don't know whether they're like good. I think Tigers win the A.L. Central, and that's the only team that gets in the playoffs. Awfully early. It's incredibly early. Yeah. I know, but there's teams like the Blue Jays, you would say, are a good team. I looked at them yesterday. They're even money to make the playoffs.
Starting point is 01:41:53 What about those pirates? Pirates have been decent, Jack. Yeah, they paid that kid. He's been good. Is it Connor Griffin? Connor Griffin. 140 million, 19 years old. Never played a game?
Starting point is 01:42:04 played a game hot shot. You didn't even do the soccer, but. Plus 100 cavalry. That was jacked. It's tremendous. Dialed it. Sunday 2 at Cofield. Go get it. Get 365. It's the three goal.
Starting point is 01:42:20 Early payout. Your team goes up by three where it comes to hockey and you're going to get paid. It's that simple. Download the app today. You must be 19 years of older or older. Please play response. We'll do the we'll do the baseball one. Pinder had this one, I think it was on the Pender report yesterday or two days ago. There's these two, what looked to be
Starting point is 01:42:39 Aussie brothers, and they have their little Twitter account where they make it out. They're the broadcast team. They're the play-by-play guys. And they too seem to stumble upon the foul ball play that we saw earlier this week. Fly ball down the right
Starting point is 01:42:59 side and it'll twist off foul. Everybody okay down there? I forgot what the hell their account is called, but they have everybody okay down there. Excellent. Jack, you got to send me that video. That's a millie vanilla shud, right? What a, uh, oh, you're going to know.
Starting point is 01:43:43 That'll twist foul. We need baseball to start around here. Diamond. Right. We definitely do. We can wrap with the, uh, we got a couple. We got a couple. We got a few.
Starting point is 01:43:58 You said it as a Calgary. They'll get the cash from the super chat. How that works. Live, you too. Put money down. We donated the charity and then talk about you. Hands of Dan, 10 bucks,
Starting point is 01:44:07 $10 for every flames goal scored this season. Dan has been unbelievable this year. Rhett shared the ice as a professional. But the greatest player ever, goal score ever, goalie ever, and one of the best defensemen ever. That's a level of personal success that we all dream of.
Starting point is 01:44:23 I was actually watching Wayne. because they don't feel good, so I sit around. Primo? Wayne Gretzky. Oh. Talk about who's the best player ever was. And he was talking about Mario. And then they were showing Mario highlights.
Starting point is 01:44:40 And I think I made one. Oh, you made a highlight. I remember you playing with him. Did you play with the Penguins? No. No, no. Outlet pass. It was going the other way.
Starting point is 01:44:50 Shoot. Then I saw Dave Anderchuk and then I remembered, yeah, I might have screwed Andy out of another stand. Stanley Cup when I stood beside the net Up a goal in Pittsburgh Let Mario shoot it in You always said though, don't chase Sudeen's a special
Starting point is 01:45:07 No, I didn't have to chase He was standing there and the puck went way up in the air And instead of just Hucking him Yeah, type your man You were like, hey, is that puck? Where's that puck going? That's flipping a lot.
Starting point is 01:45:20 Oh, shit. Excellent point by handsome Dan. Wayne is bashful, as are you. Both of you guys kind of downplay your huge success from the National Hockey League. We'd all trade spots with you and way. That's right, right. How did he spell the Mew?
Starting point is 01:45:39 Jack. I knew that was coming. We're doing here. Sonsch, Sontchal Wythman. 1399. Hey, that's, that's very nice. Thank you. Here is to the great ethical tank.
Starting point is 01:45:51 Offside challenge worked in our favor for a change. Got a good little run of challenges here. St. Louis, thank you. The outcome was the same. No goal. But yeah, they'd go offside a lot, eh? Apparently. All this credit we're giving Huska and these coaches.
Starting point is 01:46:04 Do a little clinic there for them. Here's the blue line. Like we all had kids. Like you had to teach them. Are you guys doing offside drills? Like what are we? First year of year, we got to know what the hell's going on.
Starting point is 01:46:13 Yeah. Puck's got to go on first, boys. Kale McLean. Don't take runs or kill. That's my boy. Guys. Going offside? Thanks.
Starting point is 01:46:22 Oh, here. I'm just got chip straight and note that challenge. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Fallas.
Starting point is 01:46:30 CalMav. 1399. What the H happened to our Aussie friend? I missus tantrums. The Australian rat. What are you reading this weekend, Jack? What book?

Starting point is 01:46:50 Did I get mine back? Or are you keeping stuck? You got some new swag too. Yeah. You got some new swag back there. There's some side back there. Yeah. It's some nice stuff.
Starting point is 01:47:01 There's a little mom and pop shop called Molson's, and their good friend Brett set us up with. Why can you just catch the pocket, idiot? You're watching your own highlights. This is my greatest. I lost the final three times, but it was never really directly on my brain or fault. This was all me.
Starting point is 01:47:19 Oh, that was the score. They tied it up and then I clapped over time. We're going into the weekend. This is good. Well, that's going to be nice. Fastest weekend. need to go get a drink. It'll make Jack happy because

Starting point is 01:47:44 He might have been dead. No. And to the other point, we're not sure. We've been asked to few times. Yeah, we've got It's not a joke. It's not a joke. We don't know. And we do send our best to Ozzy Brad, wherever he is and whatever he's do it. Yeah. Hope he's well.
Starting point is 01:48:00 It's like losing Newman on Seinfeld. He became a part of the show. It's monthly check-ins. Yeah. And Australia is no joke. So I'm told. Oh, big bear.
Starting point is 01:48:15 We all know peanut butter cups with a goat. I guess we'll vote. I guess the vote will just make it official. Pro tip. Crumbled up Reese's peanut butter cups on white bread is the sandwich of Good God Almighty. That's incredible.
Starting point is 01:48:31 I'll be honest. You've tried this. It's amazing. I didn't know it was a sandwich. I'm going to have to bring Big Bear over to my house to teach me some cooking lessons here because your mind is going in places I could never comprehend. I'm going to put this in the microwave for 15 seconds. I feel like Big Bear just has a butt. I got loaf bread and some time with my hands.
Starting point is 01:48:49 What can we fire up here? That's lunch. I mayors have a sandwich. Big Bear. But I guess if you could do a peanut. butter and jam sandwich. You can do a peanut butter and... I'm not saying.
Starting point is 01:49:01 I'm just going, this was not coming across. This was... Yeah, yeah. Big bear. Chestnut checkers. Well done. You'll have to remember that one for the sandwich bracket, which we'll do at some point before we die. That's right.
Starting point is 01:49:14 Somebody told me mayonnaise instead of butter for your grilled cheese. I do mayonnaise if I'm toast and buns on the grill. Yeah, yeah. Less flame. Right. Savvy. Patches, oh dear. Is there a Super Chat total
Starting point is 01:49:34 raised for the season? We were over seven grand last year. We'll total up this year in October, September. I thought Patches was going to come in with some S talk for Jack and his book reading. Nah. Patch is a good guy. Even Patches has given up.
Starting point is 01:49:49 Whatever the total is. You win, Jack, you broke them. Another 279. Yeah, another 279. More coming in as we continue on, Mr. Watts. Jack told me to AI. Oh, this is the guy. I sent it to you last night, Ryan.
Starting point is 01:50:03 He's just making, just making AI video. I don't like this at all. This guy's doing them? He's going to put us out of business. Oh, oh, weird, a maximum. So Mr.
Starting point is 01:50:12 Watt, he made an AI video and we didn't show it. Two. Are they kind of? Or is it? You want to show the Pike one or? No, show the one of you.

Starting point is 01:51:07 So of the stuff that you'll show this didn't make the cut, Jack had it sent to me. Jack and Jay, Jack thinks it's funny, Jack. There's a chat where we put everything that goes into the penthouse. It's in that chat. Great work by Mr. Watts. Thank you, Mr. Watts. There's one on the wrench that's a little risque.
Starting point is 01:51:27 We'll use that at the Christmas show. Yeah, that's probably a better spot for you. You put C-Bond clips out there. Fowl! Gary's stated current playoff format results in longer series. More tickets to sell. Boomer, were you hauling a stove down Stoney last night? Ah, I don't think I was.
Starting point is 01:51:49 No. Got something to tell us? A stove. Is that code for something hauling a stove? Yeah. No, it was pretty quiet night for me last night there, Taksaru. But I appreciate you.
Starting point is 01:52:02 Did you stop and help me? Did I look like I needed help? It feels like it was maybe having a hard time. You have those zip ties flying on the line? Not sure, yeah. Did I tie it down or insider kind of thing? Or if this is just a random question? Tax knows the official vehicle of boom daddy.

Starting point is 01:53:07 you'd think he is recovering from high kicking at a record-setting stampede tarp sale last night. Will Boomer sponsor next year? Was it a tarpsail last night? It was. Six shmell in it, raised. Really? Baby, Rangeline Derby, let's go.
Starting point is 01:53:22 $100 oil. Apparently. Carney, crushing it for us. There's a little off-kilter to start. Or just that Dan Hubert O King Clancy that I wrote down Weeb again for some reason. So similar. Yeah. And that'll sidetrack you.
Starting point is 01:53:39 Yeah. Couldn't recover. No. It's okay. It's Friday. It's our thinking about other things. I'm supposed to be hung over on Fridays. My body's not used to this.
Starting point is 01:53:47 I'm wearing a Hawaiian shirt. You didn't say anything about the Hawaiian shirt. We're off today. Oh, darn it. Right. Friday is Hawaiian shirt day. So, you know, if you want to, go ahead and wear a Hawaiian shirt day. and wear a Hawaiian shirt and jeans.

Starting point is 01:54:13 The video or the tank? Whatever you're ready to do. Just get moving. There we go. So what gives us the context of this? Oh, wow. We went down two games to none, second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
Starting point is 01:54:26 We were down to nothing. We lost both at home. Then we stormed back, went to Pittsburgh one, two, went back for game five in Buffalo, when game five. No way. We're up three to two. Chance to finish in the igloo. 40-some seconds left. Jacksanglios.
Starting point is 01:54:44 Stupid Curtis Brown can't beat Lemuel on the draw. Yeah. So you're leading here? This is. We're up a goal. Under a minute. Haschik and net. Empty net for the penguins.
Starting point is 01:54:55 Repro is out there. Yeah, he is. Ready to rock. Protect the lead. Lock it down. So you in front of the net there for us? No. You're in the other side.

Oh, it was Hanson Dan's fault. Oh, dear, handsome Dan. Yeah, thanks a lot. Do I really boost everyone's spirits and do Techathon?
Starting point is 01:58:28 Yeah, you know what? Sure. Okay. Really end of the high note. Yeah. Could be honest, I don't know that I'm feeling the Moe right now. You got a. Oh.
Starting point is 01:58:39 Hmm. The Tagathon, of course, is a website, and it uses the mathematical probabilities of the upcoming draft lottery. Every team that's in the standings, they have different percentages of chances to win. It's two separate lottery draws. You know how it works.
Starting point is 01:58:57 Someone's got to win it. Some teams will feel like they're going to lose it. There's the Calgary Flames. They sit third. They have an 11.5% chance of winning. The draft lottery, which would mean you'd pick first overall if you win, potentially. But let's see how, again,
Starting point is 01:59:12 using all of the permutations and math exists. thing. See how it would end up. There you go. They won the second poll. They won the second poll, which means they move up a spot. Stenberg or McKenna. That's how you end on a high. That's how you end up. That's how you're going to the weekend, Jack. Let's get a drink. That's how you do it. Thanks to everybody for watching. Thanks to all the sponsors for keeping this thing going. Sorry to Rhett.
