Hey, welcome to our barn burner.
Ryan Penderett,
Warner and producer Jack,
as the boom cat remains absent.
I would love an update.
People listening don't know what he's up to.
We don't know what he's up to.
Really?
We've got a general idea,
but I would like some details.
There's been some really good hockey.
I really hope he hasn't missed any of the developments.
Yeah.
Week or so.
for. Yeah, there's lots going on.
Get you up to speed with all of it on the program today.
Also, we'll have Jay Rose Hill, friend of the show, star of the
2023, Drinky Christmas Holiday Spirit Show.
Gosh, he was good.
Really, really solid.
Talk about big players and big spots.
That's right.
What a performance.
Big game player.
He was excellent.
We'll check in with him.
I believe he's sunning himself in the Arizona desert.
Well, getting sun like pool side.
So, yeah, there's not strutting around naked in one of those.
If he wants to, I don't know.
Good God.
To him.
Oh, way.
I think he's with family.
So I imagine he's got shorts on to the minimum.
But it is really hot.
We'll catch up with him in a moment.
The program's brought to you by Bet365, our pals at Bet365.
Our pals.
At Bet, three, six, five.
They're mad at me right now.
Because I keep pulling money out, baby.
Oh, baby.
We had the three-legged parley, the Fiala point, the Kempay point.
the byfield point oh loving me some NHL playoffs uh we got a promo code for you it's nation use
that very good have some fun nice time of year be responsible you know that you want to join the
program jump into our comment section on youtube it's usually people bickering about dan vladar
and the oilers and the curvature of the brims of my hat hats are big but if you want to get on
the show you can just do a super
for chat where you attach a monetary amount to your comment.
It'll show up on the show.
And we'll take that money and give it directly to the youth centers of Calgary.
YCC.
Great cause for some great kids that get some after school support.
Whether that's just a hot meal, playing with pals, meeting mentors, whatever it is,
the youth centers of Calgary are there to take a little stress off the lives of young kids in our community.
The youths are our futures and such.
It's supposed to sound deep.
How am I doing?
Yeah.
I don't know.
Like the politicians these days.
I was listening to the radio on the way here, which is stupid.
Yeah.
It's painful.
And they were talking about how kids aren't interested in doing a whole hell of a lot,
especially school stuff with AI coming.
It's kind of.
You've been a big proponent of that.
Your kid's not working and just doing AI instead of homework.
So I'm sure that was.
Might end up better.
That's,
you're feeling good about your position on that.
I'm,
yeah.
I'm not an educational consultant,
but I don't know right
you got AI for that
and your kids are off or just some of them are off
they're off they're always off
even when they're not off officially
when they're on they're off yes
they're still yeah the lights blinking
I don't know it's it's wrong or off
let's get into the action
like how lighthearted we are yeah
we're in a great great spirits good you know
just life's good jacked you know
we got the draft
God the draft is good on Thursday today's a great day
The NFL drafts tonight.
Jack is wearing his Steelers jersey.
Oh, baby.
Oh, I'm jacked.
I did my rounds yesterday, Rhett.
Oh, you're doing some, okay.
We need the jack cam going, by the way.
Can we please get the jack cam?
I'll come around on Sanders, guys.
So you've decided that you don't hate all things, Pittsburgh and sports?
He was quitting Pittsburgh yesterday.
And we talked about Shudder Sanders, the son of Dion, who, uh,
prime time.
apparently not incredibly humble,
which does sort of,
apples do fall out of the tree
and level of the tree.
That's all fake.
And then,
you know,
there's some questions about how good his,
his game will,
I guess,
translate to the NFL game.
But Jack yesterday said,
I don't want any piece of this guy.
Comes in today.
What did you say, Jack?
I've changed my mind.
I'm all in.
I did my rounds.
I talk to some people.
I watch some highlight tapes.
We're drafted our next franchise.
Can I just tell you something?
Yes.
You're an idiot.
No, no, no, no, can I just tell you something?
Never change.
This is the jackalometer, Red.
He was a zero out of ten yesterday.
Now he's a ten.
It's beautiful.
I don't do a lot of research or rounds about the NFL draft,
but I heard that the top rated quarterback
would have been like seven or eight last year.
Yeah, it doesn't sound like a great crop.
But again, you know, we always have ideas about draft classes and crops.
Time will tell.
In five years, Jack will know whether should there is a bum or not,
maybe even three years.
Maybe a crop duster.
Maybe a crop duster.
We've got some results to get to, so why don't we do this?
In what?
Well, there's three games in the NHL last year, which I imagine.
I wouldn't pay any attention to that.
Aware of.
Why don't we start in chronological order, meaning we're off to D.C.
What's chronological mean?
In the order of time.
Oh, that's K.I.
If you're chronicling things, it'd be like, in the morning, I ate this.
And then in lunch, I did this.
and then I went for a walkway,
and then I had dinner,
then I went to bed.
That would be chronological.
Whereas if you went from, like,
greatest, you'd be like,
oh my God,
you should have seen the salsa I had for my nachos,
but you know what?
I did sleep really.
It's not like in time order.
I think it was so chronological.
Let's go to the Habs and Capitals.
It's been an unusual series.
Washington looked dominant in the first 40 minutes of game one.
Last night was not that story in game two,
as Logan Thompson put on a bleeping show.
for the Washington cap. Sam Montembow at the other end was also excellent.
The caps squeak outy three one victory.
They're going back to Montreal.
Down O two are the HABs. Friday night,
Bell Center, torch, failing hands.
Language police, meat sandwiches.
It's going to be good.
We got some Logan Thompson.
We got some Warner Whiteboards here to get us on our way.
that Calgary kid
kind of a quieter story in Vegas behind Aiden Hill,
another Calgary kid.
This is late from Jake Evans,
who they're thinking about a trade at the deadline.
You know what?
Let's keep this guy.
Well, they should have traded him.
We can't hit it open.
Yeah, certainly can hit a post.
And it looked in real time,
like this was a save from Logan Thompson.
He does get two pieces of it and it stays out,
but it hits the post first.
More of a Jake Evans than a Logan Thompson,
but he was sensational.
And these are two of the best goalies going through two, three games at the,
the goals saved above expected metric.
It's been a very low scoring series, but mostly to do with the goaltenders.
They've been great holding their teams in it.
We need some wins from Montreal just to keep the series going because it has been
an enjoyable watch.
I was looking Friday, they're dogs.
They're at home on 365.
And I think that's where we start to get a little interest in the series.
The Habs go home and with that crazy wound up crowd.
I like Le Habiton.
They are even money,
plus 100 right now.
And Pat, if you want to show up and play
and put some effort in.
Hey, it's Pat.
We'll be sure to get you on the ice
instead of just having you sit here beside me.
Do you want to allow it?
This isn't Pat Roy, you're talking.
No, Pat Roy.
He's busy GM and probably the island now.
Well, he wants that job.
You're right.
Lou Lamarillo, gosh, that's crazy.
I don't know if we talked about it.
82 years young, huh?
Good on them, man.
A hell of a career.
Back to the other Pat.
You're talking about Pat Linae, who, if you need his ice time for the third, Jack, you had the same.
You had the same amount of shifts.
Amazing.
Yeah.
And zero shots in those zero minutes in the third period.
It's hard to get one through.
And in a tight game like that with a guy.
That's the guy that could do something for you.
But he's got it.
he's got to play he's got another year i think it's some big money i was thinking after maybe it's
biotime maybe they're like you know what we're not quite there yet let's see how the series goes
but if montreal wants if they think they're it's like okay it's sound to contend they have to address
this well or he should just show up and do what he can do i don't think he's not capable i think he's
doesn't give a shit 8.7 million next year and then a ufa well i wouldn't buy
I don't know that just take it on for another year.
Anyway, I'm not deep diving into that.
All right.
We got all summer for that nonsense, but line eight.
But in a tight series like this?
Could use them.
You could be the,
you could be a god in Montreal.
That's why it's disappointing.
It's because you know he could at his best influence the series.
If it's Jack out there for the third,
you're like, yeah, he's no good.
We have no expectations.
Don't put him on.
What we're expecting Jack to score,
but Liney,
we do expect to make a difference.
So Washington wins three one.
They have a two,
nothing series lead. Connor McMichael
a pair of goals. He's been a really nice
fine for them. Where was he drafted? Mid-20s.
I think it was the Zeri draft or the
I was thinking about that. Did I mention that yesterday?
Matt Boldie.
Boldie was a good pick.
12. No, that's a little higher than the flames
will probably be at this.
They've done one at 12. I think that Z.
William at 12.
I'm just those are the ones.
Be good at the draft. Just be good at the draft.
Frank.
And hey, really good draft class last year.
keep having a really good draft classes.
Next game, Colorado, Dallas.
This was the emotional one.
Gabe Landisog,
uh,
over a thousand days between games.
Oh,
lucky to live that long.
First shift absolutely bulldozes Miko Rantan.
You're like,
this place is jumping.
The warmups are chanting his name.
He's got his kids out there.
His kids weren't even old enough to remember him playing hockey.
That's a long it's been.
You're on the glass banging.
Oh, emotional.
All the fields.
was awesome.
But we are going to have to do a little Warner whiteboard as this game needed
overtime.
Well,
let's go to the first game.
Why nothing Colorado?
Let's see what's happening here.
Gosh,
you're looking good.
There's a lot of whiteboarding.
All because of that.
Well,
we like it.
And you know what?
It's like the littlest of mistakes in a regular season game.
Whatever.
This is the playoffs.
Now,
this one's beautiful.
It's four on four.
Valencia just literally gets everyone confused.
until he's on a breakway.
Everyone has a man at one point here.
Where?
Stop.
Who is that?
Is that again?
Who's 85?
Dushin.
Dushin.
Thank you.
Yeah.
So everyone's got a guy.
Where are you going?
And that's Tom Harley goes out.
Oh.
Oh,
you can't throw your arms up and discuss with anyone other than yourself.
You know, it reminds me of watch Dushie.
as he comes down in the middle
and then, oh, at the dot.
It's LeBron to
J.R. Smith. Yeah. In the players,
I know, I'm not always
supposed to be there, but you take them.
Natchewski, huge goal.
Place goes nuts. Oh.
Kind of felt like they were going to run away this one. They did
not. This was tight. This was low scoring.
Dallas would tie
this up. And in
the third again, and off
to overtime, we go. Let's take a peek.
at the OT winner.
Someone had to be up to 1 in this series.
Laid it ahead, Marchman, turning it off the wing.
Mason Marchman on the forehand, pass, shot.
Score!
Score!
The Stars have done it!
That is two overtime wins in a row for the Stars,
and Jake Ottinger has been great.
This high-scoring Aves team has been quieted, muted in games two and three.
It's a hell of a series.
We said that these are two teams that could stand.
finally cut bound.
And we were hoping that the stars weren't so banged up that they couldn't hang
around.
They're hanging around and they're doing better than hanging around.
They're up to one with a chance to come home with a stranglehold, hold if they can win
game four.
It's a hell of a play by Rantman there.
Like he just out muscles this man.
It gets it out.
Those guys retired.
Taves plays this pretty well.
He's physical.
I'm watching it and I'm thinking about all the critique you've had for Bouchard.
And I'm like, this is what you do.
You've got to neutralize the guy.
Eliminate him.
Don't let that guy beat you.
Time and space.
And he's a really.
really nice play from Marchman and again there's a tiny little window there grabs it rips it
yeah i can't decide if i want to save but it's just a hell of a shot or i mean sometimes
you tip your cap and you could have a harder back check but you also had a dman there like look
it's a good play oh blackwell had a chance to do it again i thought he was doing it back to back
do have the amount of time dallas has been leading in the 70 seconds we do have that tweet i thought
somewhere so dallas now has more wins in the series
then they have minutes leading in the series.
That's wild.
So the two wins came in overtime.
So they have zero seconds leading in each of those games.
And I think they might have had a lead for a moment in,
is it game one or two?
Or was it last night they scored.
Yeah, last night they went.
No, it wasn't.
Game two.
Game two, they must have a lead for a heartbeat.
Stars now have more wins in this series than minutes spent leading.
We need Colorado to win game four.
just to keep this Evie Stevie.
Yeah, we want seven out of this.
Yeah, I don't like the 3-1 going back to Dallas.
Hayskinin's hanging around the team.
Robertson isn't.
I don't know that that means he's going to enter this series.
But if you got some chips on the Dallas Square on the game board,
this is really good.
Without your best forward and your best defenseman, you're here.
They're good to one.
And I'm not saying that missing those guys isn't hurting,
but you can just, they're committed.
And if you're Colorado, they had a double minor call with 40 seconds left in this hockey game.
Dallas did.
Yeah, the power play for the Avalanche.
Sorry.
So they've got a ton of time.
The final 40 seconds of regulation, okay, didn't score, moved it around a bit.
Little accidentsical, little lack of urgency.
I don't know if it's like.
And I'll give you one more thing.
Sorry.
Gabe Lannisogs out there to start
overtime on that parable unit
hasn't had a lot of reps there
a bit of a botched zone entry
and they just never really got set up
and started shelling the Dallas net
like you hope they would
with a chance to end the game
and I think this sort of tied into what you were saying
which is like look this Lannisg
story is crazy but expectations are important here
maybe that wasn't the time to elevate them yet
I can't believe he played 13 minutes
Yeah.
I thought I saw at the end of the game.
They had 13 minutes and change that he played.
I was like, that's heavy for never a thousand days in between NHL games.
Yeah, now he's been ramping up for a couple of years.
I don't care.
That's playoff hockey.
And I saw him bauble that one play.
And I'm like, man, if they keep that in there, now you've got McCar, McKinnon, Natchez, himself.
You know what?
You try to score and win it on power play.
If you're a Colorado fan, they had their chance to,
win it with that power play and they didn't they didn't generate a whole bunch that's it's kind
on it's on them it was there for it to take so give the stars credit all right let us get to our

There it is from Least Nation, but more importantly, from the 2023 show,
the first star Jay Rose Hill, ladies and gentlemen. Rosie, how are you?
Still recovering from not being able to take part in this seasons,
but I think I'm going to make up for it here in 2025. It's on my list. That's for sure.
We love a good comeback.
What's up, boy?
It's impressive, but Rose Hill back to the drinking show, that would also, that would move us.
How are you? Where are you? We need an update. It's been a while.
I am good. I have just the life of a hockey parent. As you know, I am everywhere,
and I have to be everywhere all at once.
But things are good, man.
Leif's up to rip and watching some playoff hockey.
It seems like it comes every other night's quick.
I know you guys aren't quite in that same boat.
Unfortunately, I was rooting for you fellas on the Flamers.
But things are pretty solid in Leif's land.
You on vacation?
What's going on here?
I see the art back there.
Can we divulge your location?
Are you in witness protection here?
No, I wish.
I'm just hotel room in it.
I can't.
This spring hockey man.
man, I don't know who took control of it.
I don't know how we let the reins to the psycho hockey parents,
but it is endless and I can't be everywhere,
and lacrosse is no better.
And I just live vicariously through my kids now, buddy.
I thought you knew that.
No, I did.
I saw you in a rink last spring because I think my nephew was playing against one of your kids.
And we had a chat like, how did this happen?
And I'm like, you played in the NHL.
How much spring did you play, Jay?
And you're like, not.
It didn't exist.
It was crazy.
We played other sports.
And I'm like, and so do the other parents?
that never played hockey. Do they ask you? Like, no, no, no. These psychos are running the asylum, aren't they?
Well, I found out firsthand. To me, it's just too much of one thing. I love it. My kids are happy. It's awesome. But it's too much of one thing.
And somehow the people who only want to do that one thing are in control of everything now. And I just look around when all these schedules come out. And it's like, oh, we have a Friday open. Better shove a exhibition game that'll end up winning or losing 19 to 1 in fucking,
And Settler and I'm just like, this is wild boys.
This is too much.
But I feel like I'm just speaking to the wall half the time.
People love it.
We can go to the park and they can play tag
and we can drink a couple beers and just hang out guys.
None of that.
You needed an excuse to get together.
No time for that.
You got to put miles on, baby.
The further you travel, the better it is?
The better.
The further your kid's going to go for sure.
Yeah.
Totally.
The greater the disappointment when he isn't the next Bedard.
The Leafs look good right now, don't they?
I would say they look pretty good, man.
And they look, we were talking this morning.
They've, they've got layers, they've got depth, they've got different positional things.
Obviously, they've always kind of had the big boys with their potential of offense.
And I think they've shored up a lot of other things.
And those guys look more confident.
They're in a pretty good place.
I mean, obviously the Sends haven't played a lot of playoff hockey lately.
They've got some inexperience.
And if they are lucky enough to get through the second round, they'll run into some powerhouse outfits.
But there's a lot of reason people are saying this team looks different.
Okay, so we'll get to the news of the day and then we'll get to react to the first two games a little more.
Max Patcher Ready skating on a third line with Max Domi.
He has not played since December, if I'm correct, and a guy that has lost most of the last, the prior two seasons, I think with back-to-back Achilles or ACLs, I forget which.
But it's been a while since we saw a healthy, I guess, regular rep Max Patcher Ready.
But that guy was really good.
Is this the right time to make a tweak?
Or are we reading too much into just a morning skate?
no i think they're tweaking it patches is going to be in and nick robertson is coming out i don't think
it's quite to december i think it's late january is the last time patch ready played um and people are
making a big deal about that like oh but to me every single player in the league has to go through
an off season every single year and then ramp back up to nchl speed pretty damn fast every single
year so he's been skating he's been staying ready it hasn't it's not december it's been um two months i i i just
I think with his level of experience and the veteran that he is,
I think he can adjust on the fly.
They needed to make a change.
And the way he's been playing this year,
kind of reinventing himself in a lot of ways.
I think by necessity, being on a PTO,
making that team on a PTO,
and he's been playing a physical game.
I mean, I bet you have four of the five biggest hits of the season
for the Maple Leafs were Max Pat Charedes.
And I think he can invigorate that line.
Like I said, the depth and the bottom six looks as good as it's ever been.
and I think that Max Patriot is a part of that.
So I think he'll make it impact tonight.
We haven't, I mean,
we watch.
I'm not as in depth with leaf coverage as you guys.
Is Rob,
is the line not playing well?
Like,
I'm not worried about Patrick Reddy coming in or out.
I just wonder about the,
is it a necessity or just a,
I don't think so,
but I don't think Craig Brubay thinks,
I don't think he's superstitious.
I know he's not.
I don't remember that from playing for him.
He needs to make a,
a change. I mean, Nick Robertson was not very good in game two. He took a crucial penalty,
which led to a goal, which allowed them back in the game. And I think that a change with for
patchy ready for Nick Robertson is going to make the team better in game three. Simple as that.
Again, it's not about superstitions. I don't think chief's a guy who just says, I absolutely
cannot change the lineup if we have won the game previously. Some coaches are like that,
like completely where it's like, geez, this guy's serious? Like what, like, you're superstitious
about your smelly socks and stuff.
Like make a change if you need to make a change.
And that's what Brubay's doing.
And again, like I said, I think patches will make that third line a little better.
Okay, so how do we get here?
When you look at what your expectations for the series are versus what happened,
who's stood out for you?
Because if you said Matthews is going to score, it's like, yeah, we'd expect them to score.
Oh, Tana's been good defensive.
We expected that.
But there have been some guys that have impressed a ton.
Who tops the list for you amongst the leaves?
Well, maybe it falls in line with the expectation thing that you talk about.
but I mean, Anthony Stolars has has stood on his head and been really, really solid.
So I guess you could say that's expected.
I expected that.
I've been saying for a long time, I think he's going to start in the playoffs to be the number one and be really good.
You can count on one hand how many bad performances, even maybe bad goals that he's led.
And he's been so solid.
People have not been paying attention to the level that I think they should have with Anthony Stollars.
But Morgan Riley, I mean, he's got two goals on the board already.
And he's kind of had a struggle of a season.
We talked today about Brandon Carlo coming in from Boston.
I think that was a really solid move by Tree Living to bring him in.
He's got a lot of experience in the playoffs.
And I think he really settles Morgan Riley down.
It seems to annoy me that Morgan, everyone talks about who can we bring in to make Morgan Riley better?
And I'm always like, shouldn't Morgan Riley make his partner better?
Everyone speaks about who's going to make Morgan Riley better.
I mean, he's a seven-half million dollar defenseman.
He's been an all-star.
He should make anyone he plays with better.
yet they're scrambling to find guys.
So it's been annoying and he hasn't been up to people's expectation this year.
But whether he's getting the bounces or finding his mojo to have two goals,
has got to give him a little bit of confidence here at the early part of this series.
Yeah, no question.
How different has this club been under Craig Barruby than it was under Sheldon Keefe last year?
And I don't want to you to say this coach is good.
This is bad sort of thing.
But more like there's been some maturity.
I think each series they lose, there's probably some things to take away.
from them from the playing group.
They had the weird migraines with Nealander.
Matthews wasn't 100%.
Wool looked great and then he was suddenly out.
There's just a lot of bad luck last year in a series
where I thought they did out play Boston.
But how different is this crew under a Brube now?
Yeah, I think even going back to the preseason,
you could see how they're trying to establish a DNA
that's a little bit different.
I think that's a little bit more conducive to winning in the playoffs.
And to me, the big thing is, you know,
he calls it north-south hockey.
But it's those 50-50.
that, ah, this play that I want to make might be a little bit low percentage.
So I'm going to avoid it.
They used to make that play all day.
Even when the percentages were like,
nil, they'd make it all day.
And what I've really noticed through an 82 game slate in the first two games of playoffs
is the odd man rushes.
They have numbers.
They're in lanes.
They're not scrambling.
They're in position.
And they've really tidied up, you know, the odd man rush is going the other way.
Those used to be a heyday against the Leafs.
And they would try to outscore their problems and win seven, six.
And we just, we just all know that.
road that that leads to and they seem to have cleaned that up they can win a game you know they can
they can score two goals and and win two one or win three two and overtime and they're doing it that way
instead of trying to be fancy and having all these breakdowns and odd man rushes and the things that
you just don't want to see especially in the playoffs they've cleaned that up so much and I just feel
like everyone to a man from the big boys all the way down through the D they've adopted a mentality
that I think is is working for them I think they were sorely missing.
Play's been unreal.
Was it a matter of time with all this skill?
I look back to that Boston series.
They could hardly score on the power play.
And here they are through two games.
I think they got, what, five power play markers, more?
I don't know.
Yeah, it was an anomaly.
Like a head scratcher, we were talking about what the problem was.
But throughout the beginning part of the season,
there was a good chunk of time where, I mean,
they couldn't gain entry into the zone.
And they tried something different every time.
It was pretty clear that they were winging it.
They didn't have a plan.
They didn't have a structure.
And we're looking at the powers that be saying,
what are you guys going to do anything about this?
Like you said,
there's way too much talent on that,
on that first unit to do anything but damage.
And it cost them their season last year.
They were 5% on the power play.
I think they're like a couple for 21 opportunity,
like pathetic.
And I'm far from a power play specialist, as you know,
but it has clicked.
They have found it.
They have figured each other out.
And, you know,
they're at the five forwards.
for the most part.
And people had their question marks about that early on,
but it's working.
And that top line, like Nyes and Matthews and Mariner,
what they don't get enough credit for is being pretty defensively responsible.
And it's not as bad as it sounds when you hear five guys on the power play.
Those guys can take care of business and cover their lanes and cover their ass
and not be caught, you know, five men low and whatnot.
It's not blowing up in their face and they're scoring.
LA's running a five man unit too.
Because Menko's come in and they're,
using Campi Fiala, he, Copatar, somebody else.
It's like this, I feel like the tide's kind of turning.
At one point, there was 2D on every power play and just three forwards.
And now the standard is four and one, but half the frick, we said it the other day,
half the D are forwards anyway, too.
And it's like, look, like, okay, you might allow a shorty every month, but like you
got five guys with great offensive instincts out there.
That's kind of the point of power play.
Just start to implement that with the kids there.
Just spring hockey, five men forward.
Not even five man forward.
just there's no positions just
wherever you end up play.
Position of Lasaki. Oh, everyone's a superstar.
Everyone's going to score goals and nobody
has to play defense ever. I mean, that's
the, that's the game plan, baby.
You know that. I don't know how
much of the oilers you've caught. Rhett
has had a few, he's got a bit of a heater
here taking runs.
They're making it so easy just to have
hot takes and just rip them. It's great.
Yeah, like it's a playoffs. Like,
defensemen are allowed to play the body, right?
I don't know, I'm putting you on the spot here,
but we're trying to figure out what the hell
Evan Bouchard is or isn't and why it looks so bad right now,
why it looks so good a playoff ago,
and is it at home,
is it him, is it body language,
is he a weirdo that we're all misunderstanding?
What the hell's happened here?
Like, he's a turnover machine that it's really hurting the Oilers,
and they played him 28 minutes game one,
because they don't, they're out other options.
Oh, they're missing the guys that they had last year.
They got top four game in there.
They've lost and they're trying to, you know,
facilitate the same type of play with so much less to work with.
And the guy that you were calling an $11, $12 million defenseman last year,
I mean, he looks like his controller disconnects on the Xbox.
Sometimes he's just looking and has no reaction,
gets scored on.
And then it looks really ugly.
There's a couple of like world-class lowlights that people can't even believe what
they're watching considering it's playoff hockey.
And, you know, if you re-sign that guy to anywhere,
what he wants, you're going to have him and,
R&L Nurse at like $18 million when you look at the Leafs, they've got Tanev, McCabe, OEL, and
Carlo coming in about $16 million. I mean, it's shocking. I've been kind of vocal all year long,
and I get the betting volume is what gets some of these lines going. But for the Edmonton
earlier is to be favorites for the Stanley Cup for as long as they were this year, I think is a mockery.
You're relying on two guys. You've lost key components of your D. And who expects Skinner to be what
he was last year at certain points of the playoffs.
I certainly didn't, and he's showing right now that they've sorely been missing a
goaltender. So, yeah, shambles for the oilers.
Okay, I go one last one, and then we'll let you and Rhett figure out spring hockey and solve
the world's problems. If the Ottawa centers make this a long series, not a short series,
because I think we've seen the formula for the short series, leave stay hot in the power play,
get better goaltaining than the Sends. How do the Sends get back in this thing?
They do have home ice. They have not lost at home yet.
You know, you can use the adage you like. You're not in trouble until you lose at home.
Tonight's her at home, they need to win.
What do they have to do differently?
Well, I think scoring first is huge for them.
I don't have the exact stats right in front of me,
but scoring first, they have a phenomenal record,
and scoring first at home, it's even better.
So I think they're going to be looking for a really hot start.
They need to play 60 minutes and they need to stay out of the box.
As you mentioned, they're a little bit inexperienced.
I think they're real horny to be back in the playoffs
and thought they were going to run the Possee Maple Leafs out of the barn.
Just a kind of a rookie move trying to do that in the playoffs.
They paraded the penalty ball.
Um, tonight they're going to have their, their home fans behind them.
They're going to be excited.
The barn will be filled with Maple Leaf fans too.
They'll probably try to quiet them down.
But I think having some of their veterans step up in leadership and show them how to play
playoff hockey while staying on that side of the line.
So they're not parade into the box and giving that potent power play their opportunities.
I think it's going to be pretty huge for him.
I think this is going to be close to 50, 50 split.
Maybe it's 40.
Do you think?
In the rink.
But if you're part of that 40% of the travel, another city away, you're going to be
I don't know.
I'm trying to think back to the early 2000s when they were playing.
I don't know.
What was it in Buffalo when you were playing there?
Because I know you had a series of the Leafs,
they would cross the border for those.
Could they get like a third of the barn blue?
No.
The Sabres fans would always give up tickets when the Leafs came to town for regular season.
But when we played them into playoffs, like,
and in 99, there was no ticket.
I was going to say,
the secondary market was a little bit.
90s, yeah.
Well, I think,
I mean, you can look back to that Canadian Tire Center.
They couldn't fill it up in like 2016 or 17 for a playoff game.
Pretty unbelievable.
And I don't know, but compared to when I was playing for them,
I feel like the Leafs fans travel even better than they used to.
I don't know if that's because it's so much harder to get a ticket for, you know,
to be in the Scotia Bank Center or what and they just jump on opportunities.
But, I mean, their second last game of the season, obviously different than a playoff game.
but I was hearing their chance louder than it was.
Like, it's wild.
You forget what building you're in when the Leafs score,
when they travel and try to pack the barn.
So we were talking about that this morning,
really interested to see what percentage it is,
blue and white,
and it's going to piss some people off on Ottawa, I think, regardless.
You know, it makes for a better environment.
Like we, in Calgary, there's a few annual games.
It doesn't matter, you can throw the standings out.
It's just once a year Montreal visits,
once a year Toronto visits,
a couple times a year it's Edmonton and the Vancouver one can get to that level too.
And it's just the games are just better.
The fans are more invested.
You feel momentum swings more.
It gets the players engaged.
Wow, you know what?
It's like, Rosie, you go into a dead building.
Hard to get the emotions up.
You get into a building that's buzzing.
Let's play.
Yeah, well, we did our nation vacation.
We went down to Nashville and cruising down Broadway before the game.
And I was like, oh, my God, there was a lot of blue and white down here.
And it's fun.
Like, we're in there.
We're watching.
we're rowdy we go we get off to a two nothing start i'm looking back at these people laughing at the
mocking them thinking i'm in the driver's seat they get five unanswered scored on them it was
horrendous and they were piling on us so bad it was merciless it it made it super fun and a game at
that time of the season where i don't think you'd have half the energy if there wasn't that
that fan back and forth that's what it's about all about anyways it's all your fault it's all your
fault they do a great job there that's honestly if you haven't seen a game in national i think that's a top five
barn for how much fun you're going to have that yeah they do it right it's and you can just
step right off broadway right into the bridgestone arena it's phenomenal there's it doesn't hurt
i i i think you guys on your flames vacations there might be a spot to go if you haven't already
bender's done a lot of damage in nashville it wasn't with flames a there was a issues broken ribs lost
wallet wrestling with n-h-l missed a show you could in the lobby yeah we did all right we
That sounds like Vegas for me.
I promised I'll never go back.
Oh, I got to hear that story sooner than later.
We'll do it off the air, Jay.
That's what we'll do.
I believe it.
I believe it.
Enjoy that spring hockey.
Congratulations,
congratulate all those kids on your team of already being NHLers.
They're all going to make it.
Maybe they're all going to make it.
That's your agent card.
You'll be representing just thousands of them.
It'll be awesome.
All going to be making NHL money.
They're definitely not going to be grinding in the coast for $520 a week.
That's great.
All of my clients would end up in the Southern

What's up?
I was actually just thinking about Seattle.
And if we had mentioned that they needed a new coach.
You know what?
There has been some news that sort of slipped out over the weekend and I wasn't here Monday and I don't,
what the glamorillo got run.
There's a Monday afternoon I want to say.
Yeah, I don't even know.
And it's not, I shouldn't say got run.
His contract was up.
It's time.
82.
Dan Balsma one year in.
That's a weird one, right?
What is going on?
And now Jason Botterill is, uh, GM.
And they fired Ron Francis up to president.
That's the gig you want.
Yeah, that's even better than paid leave.
Mm-hmm.
Was it Chris Jury that got an extension?
Jerry got an extension, which is a little bit odd.
Which we felt had to happen.
I don't think it was all Laviolette.
Poor Laviolette's fault.
What did I do?
He's like started last draft after we went to the semi-final.
The labs, they got to play better after we threatened to trade ball.
I, yeah.
One more game last night we did not get to.
I don't think.
No, I'm trying to remember the schedule.
Later game.
Late.
Out West.
It's got to be out west, Ryan, because chronologically, it moves east to west.
Sun rotating west.
Circadian rhythms.
Yeah.
Rises in the east sets in the west.
Vegas.
Vegas.
Was it Vegas.
It wasn't Vegas.
Sharks aren't in.
San Jose,
Ducks.
Utah's not in.
Yeah.
They just fired their coach.
Vancouver.
It's got to be back coup.
It's good.
No, no.
Okay.
They're working on the Hughes deal.
Out of ideas, Jack.
Whatever it is.
Let's play some highlights.
It's the late game last night.
Oh, the Kings.
Of course the Kings.
Okay, let's pick it up.
What nothing, LA at home over.
Early.
Edmonton.
How about that?
Whoa, that's an open lane.
Hang on, Jack.
Wind it back.
We need the whiteboard.
All right.
There we go, Rhett.
Let's break this down here, everybody.
Okay, here we go.
Nice and slow, Jack.
Okay.
so we're against the wall.
They've lost sight of the puck.
Three on two there for the king.
How far back can you go?
Is this the start?
This is the start.
I think the replay might wind of us back.
All right.
Shall we walk in.
Go ahead.
Stop.
Oh, Darnell.
Look at Darnell busting his ass to get back.
That's great effort.
That's playoff hockey right there, Ryan.
That's, you know what I mean?
When you're down one and the guys walking in for a shot,
you give it all.
You just.
Give it all.
You dive in there, do anything to disrupt this play.
Because it's two on one.
That's right.
And your goal is a SIP.
Probably should have been a two on,
but it did turn on.
So anyway,
carry on slowly now.
Now,
stop.
I didn't even notice.
No wonder.
And I meant,
I thought Darno came back real hard,
but apparently he's not.
But you know why?
He's got full faith in the bush bomb.
Oh,
the bush bombs right there.
I will deal with this.
I got this.
You should start heading the other way.
Because after I break up this two.
one, I'll dish, I'll send a dish.
We'll have numbers.
A caprice of.
Yeah.
A little sauce.
I got this.
Okay, go ahead.
Oh, where are you going?
Actually, it's not false.
Kind of get some not to dry there.
And you kind of, oh, I'll get that puck.
Oh, it's in?
Oh, shit.
Oh, well.
Now, there is another version of this video.
Maybe we get it in the replay jack, so let it keep going, but you can watch.
That's in.
I'll go look.
Yeah, I think that it was the.
Look.
He's pulling it out.
A fresh one had more.
Darnell,
we pick it up as it's on the wall,
but the play actually starts.
That's usually what happens.
And everyone's accounted for.
They've got numbers there,
but suddenly it's a two on one out of a pile in the wall.
Because Bouchard is the obvious,
you know,
he's got the bull's eye on him on that play.
He's kind of a no man's land.
Well,
it is a two on one and I do tell,
like if I'm,
I'm watching that.
The goal,
take the shot.
The goal he's got to have the shot.
Now,
I don't know if you want to back up all that way.
And you could slide across and take,
take away the pass and blah, blah, blah, play it differently.
But it's not all his fault.
Everything was under control.
And then it was a two on one in tight.
And Darnell Nurse is off the hook until we get the other version.
But he will be on the hook when we see.
I don't think Darnell Nurse or Bouchard are ever off the hook because I'm sure if we show some more highlights.
There are a few more in this game.
So we'll let Jack get this version and then we'll go from that.
That made it to nothing.
It was interesting.
Not unlike game.
one. It felt like LA was going to run away. And it was like, uh-oh, don't leave the door
cracked open a bit because Connor and Leon are going to pry this thing wide open and all those
other dusts, dusters will follow them through. Uh, but this five-man power play, Kempe, Kopitar,
Fiala, Kuzmanko has been an absolute enigma. You got it, Jack? Let's watch it the more extended
cut here. The barn burner exclusive extended. Now here we go. Pucks down below the goal line. Two oilers
down there. Everything looks great. We're all good.
Carrying. Stop. Back it up a little bit.
It's like, how did we get caught there? More, more, more, more. All right. More, one more.
I just want, I want to see where the puck is coming from. Do you know what I mean? Like,
clearly it's rimmed all the way around because is that it in the corner there? Yeah, it's just under the
VRBO sign.
You just feel like you might want to skate and go get it.
Okay.
Go ahead.
Sorry.
Don't care.
Nurse completely stops.
Just standing there.
And that's the highlight that's so indicting for 25 because he's got everything in control and
then he just doesn't hit.
Oh.
I didn't compete for the puck.
I didn't keep my feet moving.
I didn't put a body on anyone.
I didn't make a read.
I'm standing still.
I didn't stay between the puck and the net.
And my poor D partner is just absolutely going to get aerated over this.
25, be better.
No, don't.
This is great.
It's only nine in a quarter of year.
That's going to feel a little bit less with inflation every year.
If you're playing hockey in the playoffs, you can't spend that.
We need that money in the economy.
And if you're playing hockey, you're not spending it.
So get dusted and go spend.
Could be a really nice summer to be a cart girl.
So that was the two nothing goal.
It's three two though.
The Oilers build it up to three nothing.
Get back in.
3-1 doesn't feel good.
3-2 is that they're doing it again.
It did feel that way, right?
When it was 3-2, you're like, oh, God.
They will never not feel that way until this team is eliminated.
You don't want to one-go-le-le-leet.
If you're up to a empty net with two minutes left,
you're freaking out against you.
Because it's just they have two of the best players on Earth.
Not much after that, but that's what they have.
Let's go 3-2, one-goal game.
Everyone's going to play in their best year, right?
Well, you're right on the cusp.
Yeah.
Vic Arvinson. That didn't work. Okay. Oh, now that's Vic who they brought in for the from LA.
Acumen now, dear. I kind of feel bad. She's just trying to mean to do that.
It rolls off this thing. But back at Hop Jack.
Oh, Jack. Come on. Jack. We're trying to watch. Stop. Okay. We're in great.
Everything's under control. Really good. Three, two. We've coming back.
All right. What happens?
into that puck he throws it up the middle it immediately gets slapped back but how stop pink it goes
off the skate of copatat okay so i couldn't see it so there it is there so it bounces back in
shitty block's copatar right here yeah and you know what it's like no worries no i still got it but
it seems like he's little frazzled because now he's like oh shoot there's my buddy and i got to turn this
around what who is that skating into him for uh his teammate cool yeah it's copatar with the pressure
and coelax's de partner
just pure panic at that point yeah and then that's campay man camp he could shoot it i was listening
on the radio at this point i actually watching him kempa in l.a i think he's having he's he's doing okay
he's living a good life real good life yeah he's a hell of a player if yeah there's i don't think
there's a lot of stress in kempa's life whoops shoots it all bob stopper was not happy with this
I was listening.
I think it's Bob Stauffer that's on the radio with...
Does color with Mooner.
With Camoon.
He was not happy.
We might need a save.
Yeah, and that's the thing is like they're giving up too many great A's,
but your goalie is allowed to stop.
It's okay.
Like, Mickey Kepersoff, he didn't care what the grade letter was.
No, I'd turn it over left and right.
Like, that'd be a good time for one.
And Kempay's unbelievable score.
You can't put it on Skinner, but it's like, yeah, if you did make the same,
It's still a one goal game.
If you make that save, I.
Good for you.
They may win the hockey game.
Totally.
But instead they didn't.
It was one more after that on Skinner.
He gets the hook.
Pickard comes in.
And you're laughing all the way.
He gets lit up by Kempai as well.
Six to your final.
Kempay, two goals, two helpers, four points.
Onzee passed his prime Kopitar, four point game.
It's been a decade of me.
Decade.
This guy's slowing down.
Very, very good.
he's slowing down very slowly.
Yeah.
Still moving at an incredible rate.
You know what? They've got all those longevity clinics out in California.
There it is.
The vitamin D.
Yes.
Probably, uh, he walks his dog every day.
He's out.
Everyone's in a good mood.
Salt water.
My God, these lucky bastards.
Yeah.
Why did Retchie ever come back?
Should have just.
Shut.
Huh?
Yeah.
You buy a house.
You're there.
You may as well stay.
Get some phony baloney job with the Kings.
That's what they all do. Come on.
I should go Blake.
You should.
Remember when your kid didn't know who he was?
That's pretty fun.
Do you remember the story, Jack?
Brett was living in Buffalo.
No.
And Buffalo's in some tournament.
And of course,
the LA Junior Kings are.
Yeah,
the Kings are playing savers.
That's what it was.
And our kids are practicing at the rink that's across where all the teams stay.
The hotel's there.
The practice ranks all right attached to the big rank,
blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
Boys are downstairs at Tim's getting a
coffee and I don't think of my coffee donuts or whatever the hell else they're getting and I come
down and I'm like Blake standing there beside them so I start talking to them and I introduced the
boys the kids to Rob Blake yeah hey boys this is this is Mr. Rob Blake yeah so we go on at ice
at practice and I could tell by the look when I said it they're like thanks coach for introducing
us to some fucking stranger and I'm like do you guys know who that is
Just blank.
Blank screens.
Not a clue.
Like when we asked Jack about who some country and western artists from the 40s is.
And even if you don't know him as a player, he's the GM of the...
All these kids go into the NHL.
They don't know enough about the NHL.
Dumb.
Yeah.
Dumb.
Whatever.
Anyway, he likes it in L.A., I think.
I think King...
Sorry, the Kings and their employees like Rob Blake, they enjoy it there.
Love the organization, wishing them all the best.
You know who else loves that?
L.A. Cousmanco.
Oh, Cousies crushing it in L.A.
Okay, so Jack said this last night, and we need to get into it.
What has gotten in to André Kuzmenko?
Was this always there?
I didn't see it in Philly.
I certainly didn't see it this year in Calgary.
We saw it last year in Calgary.
We saw it the first year in Vancouver.
Not the second year of Vancouver.
What is happening?
Walk us through.
Nervous.
He's not a self-motivator.
That's what it is.
You come and play here, and it's November.
First year in Vancouver.
Got to prove it.
Nervous, excited.
Got to prove it.
All new, emotional.
The emotions come easy.
Yeah.
Year two, I got this.
39 is a rookie.
Put me down for 50, coach.
I'm over to Calgary.
Oh, Jesus.
I just got traded.
That's never happened.
I'm nervous, excited, emotional again.
That's all right.
Come back to next year.
Got this coach.
I had like a half goal a game last year.
put me down for 50 again anyway the emotion of the playoffs he's feeding up he likes playing
and he likes having fun and when the emotion is there he's one hell of a player he just can't
generate it for himself they got him a really nice spot too oh for sure five forward power play
units like this is the power play right here he's not a grind it out no but the hands are just
electric i know that's what i'm saying when you set him up with the right guys and
create some excitement he wants to make plays and have fun the other thing about him
he doesn't move terribly well.
I don't think he's a bad skater.
He's more of stationary with hands flying around.
And with all the guys around him, that could work.
But if he has to be the central figure on a team,
it's just so easy to shut down.
Yeah.
And that five-man powerplay, scary.
Like, just by-field, Fiala, Kempe, Kopitar, Kuzmanko.
The Oilers penalty kill, not unreal.
Last year.
But even going into the player, I thought I heard.
I'll look it up.
I just know that from last.
Last year's, they were talking about it in the post game last night.
I know last year, it would have been McLeod, Fogel, Ekholm.
I just, I don't know about Brobert, but like totally new personnel in the playoffs.
And the only, the playoff to playoff comp is that L.A. struggled against this penalty kill to score last year at this time.
I think L.A. is probably a step better offensively.
Oh, for sure.
But the Oilers penalty kill is taking a monster step back.
There's no denying that.
I like a pickard comment.
It's coming in.
Cal is coming in.
I'm going to go regular seasons here for the penalty kill and see where the
I just thought I remembered and I got CTE so I don't always remember right.
But I thought they said the last half of the year.
They're right in the middle of the pack of the league.
They're 16th in the league,
78%.
I can't do the last half of the year.
That may be true.
It doesn't matter.
But yeah, like it's an average penalty kill over the course of a full season
and well below average here in the postseason.
I mean, they're getting absolutely torched.
The LA Kings are clicking.
well that's actually not about that's 24 25 anyway are they killing off 78% too how's that right
that can't be right okay maybe it's exact same it looks elite LA zipping it around
uh that was the final game 6-2 LA beats edmonton is there any like what did Craig Conray learn
from the Andre Kuzmenko experience like if you if you if you're in another Eli
Lindholm's spot.
Do you take that player? Do you flip him sooner?
I think he would learn. I think he would learn that sometimes you just have to make a trade
and accept the fact that you might not win it.
Because I don't think Kuzmenko was going to resurrect or start playing like he is in L.A.
here.
And he didn't in Philly.
And it's the same with Sam Bennett.
I don't think if Sam Bennett stayed here, you're ever getting playoff Sam Bennett to that level, right?
Certainly not.
I don't believe so.
I could be wrong, but I think Sam Bennett needed a change and he found a spot and it's, it's gone well for him.
I think Kuzmanko, if you hang on to him longer, I don't think you're getting more.
I don't think he's going to play better and you might have to chew on the whole contract.
Yeah, I think we looked at it this year around Christmas and you're like, what could you even get from?
Exactly.
I don't know.
And he wasn't going to change on two goals.
I don't understand how much, by the way.
you got close but he didn't get over 13 and a half.
It doesn't be.
Close.
This account.
Kind of hungry.
I know you something.
But maybe the move was, and this is totally hindsight.
So I'm not saying Craig should have done this.
I'm just saying if you could look back and be like, what was the moment?
He scores, I believe it was 14 goals and 29 games after the trade deadline last year.
That's a half goal of game.
That's a 40 goal pace.
And his rookie year in the NHL, he's 39.
At that point of his career, you can say,
look he and Rick Tock it didn't get along and every other instance in his career in his career
he's been a 40 goal ago now a lot of those things would say sign him but if you know what we know
now trade him in the summer yeah and that's hindsight 2020 I'm not saying Craig should have done it
just like if you were going to pick his value it would have been like you might have got a second
plus or you could trade him for a third line center I don't know but again I think the flames are
happy with Morgan Frost you needed him to get Frost here I think we want to see more
I don't think, but he's 24.
I don't think Conray did poorly in that trade.
I like the trade still.
Those guys got to contribute more next year.
I still like it.
And I don't think Kuzmanko's stock was going up by hanging on to him longer.
No, I agree.
And if we look at the big, big, big pitcher and zoom out even further, if you had traded
Jacob Peltje and Elias Lindholm, look what they got back.
It's Frost.
It's Fairby.
It's Gridden.
It's a third rounder.
It's Bristevich.
It's Yermot.
Like it's it the trade tree is huge from that lint home deal.
That's his best trade he's made.
The marksham one's looking pretty close,
but a lot of that has to do with Wolf.
Either way, it's just fascinating because we knew he was a hot and cold player.
And then you just wondered,
you know what?
Maybe he's going to go be a hot and cold player in the KHL
because it was awful in Calgary and Philly this year.
Oh, and he gets to L.A.
And you're like, holy shit, this guy's still doing it.
Magic.
Zipping it around.
Hands.
Lightning fast.
Front of the net.
caring, smiling ear to ear.
Love Sarmonicas too, Jack, I'm told.
Big fan. All right.
Yeah. Love Sarmonicas.
King's up to O, heading back to Edmonton.
It is, I don't know that there's been
in the last five years, a moment that probably
feels this low for the Oilers.
Like, there's more pain than this.
Losing game seven to stand like a final.
That's pain. But it's not a lot of, like, this is low.
Maybe that's the wrong word to use.
But the general attitude toward the Oilers and opinion on the Oilers is,
is kind of disdainful.
They're like, you have two players and you've done F all to support them.
You had one run where you almost want a cup and you should have two or three banners.
Everyone else with two superstars does.
Those guys again, in game one, proved how fucking good.
Sorry.
How good they are.
And if you supported them at all and had a little bit of forward thinking.
Match some offer sheets.
develop some kids.
Don't trade firsts for prospects.
Turn them into players that help now.
And I'm still not convinced
they can't come back because they have McDavid.
They totally can't. They'll have last change and they got
McDavid and Drysoe. They could combine for five points
on Friday night.
What are they going to do for the anthem?
And even if they do, I still don't believe
that what management
and what they've done up there is right.
Of course not. Yeah.
It's in spite of.
You have been given so much
just through the bloody luck of a lot
and the hockey god's smiling on you and Leon being available at three which is a hell of a pick there but
it's not like they've managed their way to this spot like you look at Florida you're like
LA Bill Zito team they're playing against yes has had to manage it and I think they're on the opinion
last summer was you have to fire Blake he's an idiot turns PLD into Kemper great trade for both
teams. Like, that's
managing a team well.
Yeah, the ins and outs
from July on in terms of like this
player left, this player came in, it's a nightmare
for the Oilers. McLeod Strong year,
Fogel really good year, Broberg, huge
year, Holloway, breakout star
caliber season. They haven't even maximized
the appeal of having
McDavid and Dryside along their
team. Do you know what I mean
as far as bringing in a quality
individual and free agents? Who's come in
well below market so that they could
play with Connor. No one. No one. Not even his butter,
but Connor Brown. They went and paid
dustards good money to be support players.
You're like, that is just a terrible move. That's terrible.
That's dumb. Why are you doing that?
Who have they brought it and I didn't, I don't like the
background of Kane,
the attempt on bringing him in. I was okay with that.
Resigning him was the problem. Exactly.
And that's again, the management.
Eckholm was a great trade. That's probably Ken Holland's best move.
Hyman's a nice ad and free agency,
but they outbid everyone. It wasn't like
it was sneaky. They just put more money on the table and
good for the, it fits there. It's great.
Yeah, you're fine with that.
But there's a lot of swing and miss in there.
And we got more time and they're not dead yet.
They aren't. They haven't lost a home game.
Sadly. It's, uh,
two wins is going to feel a long way away for the,
for the Kings. Even again, as we said,
if you're up to an empty net at the other end,
it's still not over against Empton. They showed that in game one.
uh when's jack buying his pizza never jack i got passed on to dean no it did not and dean's gone
and there's no more i think it came back on you though for being a d right so today oh no
it's beers they got beers on special today right rich men's it's kind of like oh yes oh no kind

pizza bets it's feel strongly about something like yeah i think shoulder sanders is
going to be a star in the NFL.
Ah, no way, he sucks, Jack.
Let's put a pizza on it.
And this is, this is the debt that Jack owes us.
He owes us a couple Richmond wheels.
It's non-debatable too.
It's phenomenal pizza.
Like, let's go today.
Today is a great day.
Today's not a great day.
Today's not a great day.
It's a terrible day, actually.
I can't do it.
Okay.
Tomorrow.
But if you say you went and bought pizzas and we didn't show up so we don't get any,
it's our own damn fault.
That'd be savvy.
I won't be happy.
Take yourself off the home.
that would be nice. Mondays, Monday, Bundy, love that.
$10 burger and fries, Tuesdays, wings gone wild. God, they got so many good wing
flavors. What's your move there, Jack? I know Dean loves a dill pickle.
I'm always hot. Hot wings. Good, yeah. They're called Hot wings for a reason.
Yep. When in doubt, just the original, the classic,
where the burger named after the restaurant, like, just stick to what we know.
Hot's hot. What are you guys good at?
Maxi Mani on Wednesdays, $3 tacos. Today, it just says,
is.
What's your special today?
Beers.
Love it.
Thanks to Richmond's.
We're going to get some wheels in soon.
I got a lunch day,
though, though, so I would.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's not your fault.
No, my fault.
Jack, we're going to keep that tab running, though.
We're not going to charge you interest.
That's our deal.
Maybe Monday.
Yeah, like Monday.
Burger fries.
Or election day?
Yeah, we could go vote and go for it.
Where's your voting station?
Is it nearby there?
Have you voted already or not?
I'm done.
Are these polls know anything or not?
I see different polls.
They're totally waiting.
Do politicians know anything?
Oh, we know the answer to that.
God.
Please.
That's my time about that kind of question.
Okay.
Let's get to the Pender Report.
Again, Richmond Road, 3919.
Richmond's probably probably know that.
The heart of Glamorgan, right by the best cheese buns in the city.
GTS.
Google that.
Google that s.
Pender Report time.
We do that for Village Honda.
Yes.
The Northwest Autoball.
Your dealership.
life and pretty sexy new 2025s up there right now.
Anthony getting a little braggy at the playoff pool.
Yeah, we won year one.
We got all kinds of in-stock inventory.
Huh?
Pre-owned brand new.
We got it all, Viltana.
It's true.
What can we tell you?
If you haven't been there in a while,
nice little bump in new in-stock inventory on the ground,
That's great to hear.
New vehicle bracing, MSRP.
And of course, if you're looking to get rid of a vehicle or you turn it back in for a lease,
don't do anything before you swing by a village hon and get them to take a look at it.
They want to buy your pre-owned vehicle.
All makes, all models.
Appraisals are complimentary.
If you get a deal done, you're paid in 24 hours.
That's a win.
And also for a limited time, get a cruise voucher for two, just for selling them your car.
They're already giving you cash now to throwing in a cruise voucher on top of it.
Love it.
Also, no obligation for more details.
Let's get started at village honda.com.
Okay, we start with some of the action.
Last night, Jack, we begin in Washington again.
We went through the highlights.
I think we have a nice coincidence.
I remember Braden Holpsey of the capitals.
Sasker.
Sasker.
Cup winner, I believe.
He backstopped them.
I am told one of these people is Logan Thompson,
and the other is Braden Holpey.
are you bleeping kidney
what
Holpe is gone into witness protection
changed his name and returned is Logan Thompson
Brett which one is Holpey and which one
is Thompson
I'm going left
holtby when I'm looking at
you killed the man side
Holpby
yeah I have no idea
it's the same guy
what's that meme from the office
it's like
we'd like to you to point out the differences
between these two photos, it's the same photo.
It's the same guy.
Please point out that, no, no, that's the same, it's the exact same photo.
Wow.
That's good karma for these caps.
I like that very much.
Next to the Dallas Colorado game, Gabe Landisgog remains a remarkable human.
Really cool.
We talked about the warm up, the family.
Just a little bit of time there.
Landisg, the third NHL captain to return after missing a thousand games.
Wow, thousand games.
Who else would have done that?
Sid Abel and Sill Apps who missed time while fighting in World War II.
Okay.
Cool little stat there.
Holy.
Those are completely different worlds.
Yes.
Sid Abel,
Sid App,
heroes.
God bless you.
Indeed they are.
Yeah.
Can you imagine someone?
No.
Yeah.
I'm sorry,
Gabe.
What you've gone through has been tough and long and...
It's good company, Gabe.
That's what we're telling you.
Yeah.
You're in really, really good company here.
The other final bit, Coosie, we just talked about.
Watch him with the harmonicas.
They brought up back.
He can't believe this is happening.
He's like, didn't they just do this two days ago?
And I had to try not to laugh at the end.
Old Korean ladies in L.A.
Who!
Getting frisky.
Loving life.
King's jerseys on that time.
They apparently drive a hard bargain.
Wanted to bring them back for game two.
Said, yeah, yeah.
Rate changed.
But we paid you that for game one.
that was game one.
You need us now.
Our Monica's got you to win.
They're there.
You want us back?
They could be there for the next two months.
I hope they are.
That would be great.
They're like, we all need jerseys.
We'll give you our sizing.
Our rate went up.
And we need a little one-on-one time with Onze.
The ladies want a signing session with Anzay.
We're not taking no for an answer.
It can be in the summer.
We need Anzai time.
Did they do it every home game until they lose?
I think they have to.
Well, and I think once you get to a certain point,
you might have to just do it anyway.
You might build on this thing.
You might be bringing in like,
Grammy artists to play harmonica with them.
Like pack the ice.
Get Will Ferrell singing with the harmonica.
Yes.
Give him a harmonica.
You can be leading the truth.
He should join the harmonica crew.
Oh, my God.
That would be so good.
It's L.A. What can't we do here?
Oh, that would be gold.
Just gold.
And then Snoop and add a celebrity every game.
And just drop them in and don't say a word.
Yeah.
Just is that, who's that old bird?
Jeez, that looks like, Wilfrey.
That is Wilfarrell!
And then the next game like, is that Snoop Dog?
Oh, my God, he's a Korean old lady.
This is amazing.
There's a serious question.
L.A. gets through.
If they get through Edmonton.
They will play the winner of Vegas, Minnesota.
Understood.
Okay.
Are they better suited to win those games?
Do you know what I mean?
Like, I'm worried about them.
beating Edmonton because dry
sidle and McDavid might go and win the series.
But they might be better
like Minnie's good and Vegas is good,
whatever. They may be better suited to beat those teams.
I think this is, if they can get through this,
and they're up too old, but again, it's two of the best players
in the world. If they get through the series,
I think they're even money or favorites in round two.
I don't care who they're playing.
Because it's like, what can't they
do you've got kemper on this incredible run where he doesn't allow more than two game one obvious
exception you've got a deep blue line they've dressed 7d last night in that mover are they didn't
put him on the ice one shift he's not bad he's a decent player meanwhile the other side they had josh
brown they couldn't put on for more than five minutes at the other end in game one um and i love their
scoring depth like it's just they've got three lines that can score they win face-offs their
centermen are all good if you look down the middle and you say okay we can
have copatard to know take every D's own face face off the whole game and when we're in the ozone
there's Quentin Byfield like down the middle blue line and net yeah and the power place humming too
yeah I love this team sorry for interrupt you know I interrupted at all it's great too but yeah I think
to be favored against Vegas at this point if Vegas gets through in Minnesota absolutely their favorite
uh well wait and see what happens they're not through yet either uh the full slate of results
we talked about a bunch let's uh throw up the board
interesting, there are only two series where both teams have got to win so far.
One of them was last night's game three between Dallas and Colorado.
What?
There's only two series.
There's eight series ongoing and not all of them have played the same number of games.
You only played once with Tampa, Florida.
But of the seven series where they played two or more games, only two of them, both teams have a win.
A lot of two O leads.
Get my point or two one for down.
I think what's the other series?
Carolina, Jersey, no.
Minnesota.
It's Minnesota Vegas.
Yeah.
Everyone else is up something, oh, in the series.
Oh.
I don't know if I've eloquently said that or I've,
we're all dumber for having heard we speak.
Next.
Next.
Next.
Tonight, let's take a look.
You sound like a politician.
I do.
Word salad right there.
Total word salad.
Can we count on your vote on the 28th?
Here's the whole thing.
This will probably.
paint my picture better. Yes, that's what you needed. A lot of teams looking in good shape.
The only series I'm not sure about in terms of who, who's in charge? Dallas, Colorado,
game four will be in Colorado and Vegas, Minnesota. That scene switches to St. Paul tonight.
From the city that never sleeps to the, might as well sleep while you're in the city.
City while you sleep in, take an ab and tuck yourself in early.
Sleeping that always sleeps. Oh, sleepy St. Paul.
St. Paul. Okay. Maybe even. Maybe even.
venture out of your room and check out the lobby.
St. Paul.
Okay.
Start in chronological order.
I'm not telling you what that means.
Florida, Tampa, game two.
This is a big one for the Bulls.
They looked like a team that was not close in game one.
They need to be better tonight.
Mathi Kachuk, Nate Schmidt, each scored a pair in game one.
Vasilevsky's got to be better as well.
No question.
Six is not an ideal.
No.
Ask Stuart Skinner.
A lot of winning happens when you let in six.
It's tough.
Real tough.
Toronto, Ottawa. It'll be game two, the first game in Ottawa.
And we got some news we told you about it'll be Max Patcher Ready,
stepping in on a line with Max Domi and Bobby McMahon.
Okay, a little tweak from Craig Barube up to Rip.
Sends will have last change, obviously.
And it's the first time they've had last change in 200,000,
893 days in the playoffs. That's a while.
That's a long time.
That is a long time.
I think I know exactly where I was the last time the senators played a playoff game.
I was in Tokyo on my stag with a dozen idiots.
We were streaming it on some guy's phone, who I hope had a data plan.
It was penguins, senators, game six or seven, win and you're into the final.
Carlson had gone off that year.
Don't know that they've been at home since.
They've vending machines of beer.
Yeah, I know.
You told me that before I, because you were there when you were.
kid like 15 14 16
the machine didn't idea
no you were able to purchase
at will
what how much is this one it's that's
a red bill what's this worth
oh my gosh look at all these beers coming out
night game
uh this is actually the third of four we got a good four game
slate tonight Minnesota stole some momentum
in game two they're all square they're coming home
best of five three of them in Minnesota
potentially
Caprizov is a bloody star.
He might be the best player in this series.
He's not saying something because Eichol and Stone
and other guys at the other end.
We'll see what the crowd's like.
Minnesota has been missing a lot of their best players
for a lot of the season.
Safe to say, if they can look like they're in game two,
that place will be jumping.
Nightcap is Winnipeg, St. Louis.
Blues have actually been pretty good for a team that's down 2-0.
They'll be at home.
This has been maybe one of the most physical series
out there. Very physical, yeah. And I wonder if this isn't the night that the blues get one on
the Jets. I don't know that they come back and make this a long series, but if you're going to win one,
maybe it's tonight at home, ding, ding, ding, ding, with a stupid bell they hit after the goals.
If the Jets want to make a statement, they could do it right now. The Jets want to really increase their
odds of winning a championship. Make this a very short series and kick your feet up while you watch
Dallas and Colorado
bash each other over the head with iron pipes.
I don't know who to think might win.
It's in the second round.
They're up.
No, right now.
Tonight.
Yeah, the jets are up to nothing.
It feels coin tossy to me.
It's fair.
Both games have been tied in the final five minutes of the third.
Winnipeg's had made the one play.
Doesn't mean they're going to make that play tonight.
Maybe it's St. Louis.
But yeah, Winnipeg's a good team.
I like them in the series tonight.
I kind of feel like the blues aren't bad.
You'll love this.
Speaking of politicians being idiots.
No more Go Habs Go on the Montreal City buses.
Because of course the language police,
which I had to explain to Jack are an actual thing,
not a made up thing in Quebec,
have said, well, go is English.
Oh, that sounds good.
Even though Habs is short for Habiton,
which is not an English word.
Alley,
Kenneger, L.A., not quite the same ring.
And so what happens if you do say it?
Well, then the language police will come and wag their language fingers at you.
Okay, but what?
Write you a language ticket.
You can get a ticket?
Oh, probably.
Well, let's go visit Montreal.
I got a buddy red eye tonight.
Breakfast laid out.
You've made me annoying.
I know it's annoying, but that building's going to be jump at the morrow, Rhett.
You got to put up with some bullshit.
Go Habs go.
Shut the lights out on there.
Well, you can say it.
You just can't have a sign.
And if you do have a sign,
the French has to be twice the font size.
What if you're in the rink and you have the sign?
You can wear a T-shirt.
It's more about businesses than people.
It's incredibly annoying.
They don't have the language.
Back to the politicians or idiots talk.
Yeah.
Good God.
It's a three-hour show today,
and we're just scratching the service.
So here's the full slate laid out for you.
Tonight's games.
We love to see it.
I don't know if we have a full slate.
We don't have a full slate.
We went, we've got a full slate.
We've got a full slate.
We've got a full slate.
We've got enough.
We got them all.
We got them all.
So again, 4.30 start.
Note the early start time in Tampa.
Five to Ottawa, staggered by half an hour like that.
Then we got Minnesota 7 p.m.
St. Louis at 7.30.
Four games.
See where we're at tomorrow.
You're going to do a show tomorrow?
I'd prefer not to, but probably, yeah.
Are you going to be hungover?
I got to do an event tonight with the regier and staging and cabby.
You will be hung over.
Cabby's coming.
Where are you going, Red?
La Palaz.
I don't know what.
I don't know.
Details.
I've spent off air conversation.
I think it's a private.
I don't know.
Secret party.
Thanks to the invite, Red.
You're welcome.
Cogger hitmen are done.
I'm sorry.
Ah, settle down, Lethbridge.
The playoff train was just starting to roll.
We're down too O in the series.
I was feeling really good.
Stanking hurricanes.
Windy-ass city.
Your cheap booze and your college students
that I was once upon a time one of.
Ah, Lethbridge.
My kid was there, said the hitman had a,
was it a five minute power play in the third?
No.
Couldn't score.
They were zipping it around.
Golly was good.
Hitman were blocking shots.
Happens quick, man.
They would have been preparing for medicine,
Manhattan instead.
Oh, season's over.
Just like that.
Did we show the goodbye to the 20s?
Always nice to honor your 20-year-olds and junior.
because they age out.
Connor Vidson,
Daniel Houser, Annette,
Caleb Parker.
They go.
I guess it would have been different for you
because you,
I was the NHL,
but aging out's an emotional thing,
apparently,
I imagine.
Jack,
did you age out a junior?
No.
No, I quit.
Okay.
It sets up a pretty titanic battle
between two cities
that are close in proximity
and probably have a little hate
toward each other.
I wish it was medicine.
that Calgary but Lethbridge Medicine
Hat, that'll get rowdy. Two smaller
centers. Two good ranks. Well,
supported. Yes.
You might even see some fisticuffs between some
fainting in the stands, right? It always encourages
that. Remember, you want high ground?
Don't say go-habs go?
Cains. It's okay.
And you want high ground when you're fighting in the stands,
right? Oh, four, shizzle. Get the high
seats you can. Then your total controls.
Go downhill. Downhill.
Okay.
The other final, by the way,
Spokane, Portland, that's the Western Conference.
NFL draft day.
Here's your order.
Sounds like what, Jack.
We got absolute locks at the first couple of picks here.
Titans will pick one.
They take the quarterback.
Yeah, they'll take Cam Ward.
Cam Ward. Browns are going to do.
Bad pick.
Hunter?
Yeah, okay.
Maybe the guy that plays two ways.
And then things get interesting to the Giants.
Are they going to go quarterback?
Are they not?
Patriots. They want to trade back.
Get more assets.
Doesn't sound the top ends amazing this year.
You might get a similar caliber player in the top five
as you get in the 20s.
But again, that's just one scout saying something on Twitter.
I only see one team up there, Ryan.
What do you see?
Where do they pick?
Number 30.
Number 30, the Buffalo Bills.
What do they need?
Just champions?
A champion.
Just bringing champions.
Chargers pick one after and look at this happening.
A 21, almost every mock draft right now has Shadur Sanders going to this team.
Let's go.
He's really.
Talked himself into this.
There was a point where he was supposed to go like one.
Yeah.
And where's he at now?
What's that?
Tell you.
He's played really well to get down to 20.
Oh, yeah.
Well, this guy that's really good.
People watched him a lot.
Yeah.
Now we're going to pay attention to this guy.
And we don't like him as much.
So we don't rate him as highly.
But yeah, you go ahead.
There is a 365.
You can do some betting on the NFL draft, which is tonight.
Team to draft Shudor Sanders.
Pittsburgh, minus.
one 10 what a roller coaster i thought i was going to have rogers a month ago and you don't want rogers
either he's done he doesn't know what he wants he's he's absolutely twisting the wind the towel on
getting a quarterback for this year that's going to be a difference maker build your team the other
way and next year if you can go find a quarterback go ahead that's what they said last year though
yeah we're never bad enough though yeah if you draft shader you might be
be bad enough, but then you've already drafted the quarter. That's going to be a tough one.
Yeah, exactly. So let's
draft.
Replexing stuff. Anyway, good luck with Dion's kid.
I'm sure he's very humble.
Down to Earth.
Centred.
Dion's humble.
Let's jump to some dumb stuff.
Let's get to, uh, got some good stuff out of Australia lately.
With some kids in the backyard.
We kids are dumb. Australian kids probably extra dumb, right?
I don't know. Yours are.
My kids are half Aussie.
Boy, some of the things they do, but this is really good.
So we got, they're hanging out in the backyard.
There's a barbecue.
Someone's working on the old car there.
And I think they're setting stuff on fire in the barbecue.
They're testing different things.
Let's have a listen.
What the fuck is at this time?
Acetylene oxygen.
Why is everybody's settling oxygen?
Gone.
Gone.
I felt that in my fucking asshole.
Holy shit.
Bro, satellite oxygen.
that Aussie accent, I'm mistaken.
What the fuck is at this time?
Acetylene oxygen.
Fuck is it this time.
Acetylene oxygen.
I don't know how this shows become part
Aussie, but it really has.
It has.
We need Ozzy Brad DeWay, and it's been a while since.
It's good, though.
Aussie influence is wonderful.
He's singing John Deere Green last time we checked in.
You and the shoveler,
this is out in your chalet in the mountains,
your mountaineer, and this tree is in the way.
We need this tree to come down.
Yeah.
You got Trevor the DUG there.
That's your old man, your brother.
As long as they pull that way while you're signed,
the tree's going to land right on the...
Oh!
Who didn't let go?
It's true?
Yeah.
Veteran Doug realized it.
This tree weighs probably a few thousand pounds.
We'll just get two guys leaning this way.
That'll help, right?
Who's cutting the tree?
That was you, you idiot.
And finally, there's this workout place down the street.
They're actually, they've said something.
You need to stop staying at the window.
Sir, sir, we're getting blinds installed.
You go ahead and install your blinds.
I'll be here till then.
It's a free world, lady.
That's your PIN report on a 13th.
is the Pilates.
Ah, well, yeah, you're going to look at the technique.
Great technique.
Wow.
You know, you're an appreciator of athletes.
I'm interested in signing up.
That's right.
Look for a membership.
What's the, I just want to take my time here.
I got a 10 punch pass.
Does that work?
The new 2025 hybrid touring CRV now in stock at Village Honda,
two motor hybrid power touring, econ mode, eco-assist, real-time, all-wheel drive.
Topps in his class and built for Calgary.
It's the weather here.
Yeah, look, you don't have spring.
We just have alternating winter, summer.
You know that.
Also, the tour ignition comes with Honda sensing safety technology,
as well as 19 inch black aluminum alloy wheels.
And for a limited time, $1,000 Honda bonus
and qualified Honda owners will receive an additional $750
loyalty bonus.
It's all up at VillageHonda, Your Dealship for Life,
villagehonda.com,
and in the Northwark.
West automobile.
We're having some last today, Jack.
Kind of feels like a Friday.
It does.
Friday'd be good.
That's tomorrow.
You're going to be hung over because you're doing the thing.
Reggie, Cabby.
I have no idea what the is.
He said one other name.
I'm trying to remember who it was.
Stage.
Stage moved out of the city, hasn't he?
So he's got a nice big old estate now or something,
man.
When you're overpaid for two decades.
Oh, boy.
A good agent, unlike you.
That's my uncle, I think.
Is that a true story?
Yes.
Yeah, my uncle was the big wheel for an agent in Saskatchewan for a while.
He was just opening door.
Probably a window there where he was, most kids out of sask.
He got him.
Poor bastard.
He's a good dude.
Loves his golf.
Sure does, Ryan.
And hip surgeries, it turns out, but I don't think he likes those as much.
Okay.
We'll get some other things to do.
We need you to win a million bucks.
That's probably a good thing to do.
Yeah, before the weekend.
This thing's ending.
April 30, you've been telling you for two months.
April 30, end of the contest.
It's the service big share contest.
Get going here, people, a million bucks.
Well, how do I get entered?
Well, you just have to start saving some money.
Shoot, that's a great idea anyway.
And I might get a million.
Love it.
Anyone can enter, just become a member at service.
Start saving.
Every 500 bucks you save gives you five entries into Big Share contest.
So right, you put 1,000, 10, 10,000, 100 grand, you get a thousand.
Oh my gosh, you're going to win this thing.
Love math.
Yeah.
Also, you can double your entries by putting some cash and opening a registered account like a TFSA or an RRSP.
Set up your paycheck for automatic deposit.
Another way to get more bonus entries.
And, yeah, fast track your savings with a high yield savings account, GICs.
They've got promotions during the contest period with great.
rates and term lengths. It's all there. More information. Service.ca slash win. But again,
final six days. So if I wait a couple more, don't be a procrastinator. I explain this to my kids.
I say, hey, when you get home, I want you to put your backpack away and empty your lunchbox.
I said, yeah, dad, but I'm just taking my time. And I'm like, right. But when you were taking your
time with your baseball backpack, it was still out three days later. Let's just get it done.
And then it's off the list. If you know, you got to do it.
sign up for the big share then we can go to the park empty your backpack then we can do video games
get it done what a motivational speak yeah thank you appreciate that uh okay
rose hill today how was rosy rosy's always good it's weird his spring hockey team sounds
like every spring hockey team doesn't it i i don't think he ever said where he was i kind of know
where he is the fact that they're that far away is even crazy yeah it's you get the real
We never got caught up in spring hockey, ever.
You never went to one tournament last year in Philadelphia?
Well, you're living in Buffalo.
Yeah, that's exactly.
It's not six, seven.
It's not.
If you went to Philadelphia with a Calgary spring team,
you should be dragged away from children's sport and put in their jail.
Oh, they were teams from.
Oh, boy.
Last year.
Big tournament.
Big tournament.
If they make any money.
Yeah, they do.
Yeah, they charge a lot of money.
Yeah. And these kids need shoes and hats and hoodies.
Oh, yeah. Thundergoles are going to be rolling this with your gloves, pants shells, hair dye, everything.
Why not?
New helmets because you've got to have the helmet to match the.
We actually encourage you to go to this dealership, go to Village Honda.
We've got the team colors for a vehicle.
We need to drive that to the game.
Yeah.
So really reasonable asks, right?
Um, this is the time of year.
Love's in the air.
It's spring.
You walk around.
People have a little twinkle in their eyes.
That's what I woke up.
That's what I woke up for this morning.
Yeah, I felt great today.
The dreams I've been having after these kings wins,
you would not play.
Oh, man.
Anzi and I are great pals.
High five.
And we're real popular in L.A.
Gosh.
I don't know if I'm a winger or a GM.
Onze and there.
We're pals now.
Just great.
Honestly,
just too bad for these oils.
It's shame,
isn't it?
Yeah,
it's hurtful.
But there's love in the air this time of year.
And that, I don't know that we'd recommend, let's say, proposing.
But if you've already made up your money, you are going to propose,
we do have to tell you to go to Vinova because you're going to save a ton of money
and come out with a diamond that might even be better than what you were going to buy
dug out of the ground at a fraction of the price.
You can be an idiot for proposing.
Right.
Don't be an idiot.
Yeah, you can be dumb love.
We'll allow that.
But we can't allow you to be a dumb consumer here.
Vina Nova is Calgary's only.
Lab grown specialists.
100% of the store, it's all they do.
You're exclusively lab grown diamonds.
Why does that matter?
Well, because lab grown diamonds can be as much as 80% off the price of regular ass dirty mine diamonds.
That's a good deal.
Vena Nova.com is the website.
The showroom is moved from downtown, the old location up to market mall.
You'd love to see that.
And the lab grown diamond, it's not a fake diamond.
It is literally the same chemical composition.
Do you know the chemical composition of a diamond, Jack?
It's very simple.
It is compressed carbon.
It's just C.
Carbon.
The periodic table of elements.
Yeah, I didn't get to that in high school.
Carbon. Carbon.
Carbon. Carbon.
Carbon.
Carbon.
It's still carbon.
They're just doing it a lab.
Not digging it out of the dinosaur skeleton.
It's a carbon, Jack.
Let's go.
Carbon.
Very sparkly.
That Sanders will have lots of...
Lab grown of the same.
hardness, light refraction is a natural diamond,
and it's the largest selection
of loose lab grown diamonds and jewelry
in Calgary. Vena Nova
up at Market Mall. I love to see that.
And yeah, look, dumb love?
Sure. We're not going to let you be a dumb consumer.
Save some money. Throw a little more
into that DJ at the wedding.
The live band. Bring in the Korean
ladies with the harmonicus.
Blowing it out. Big party.
Best ever. Keep going, ladies.
Get a hip cover band and the Korean
unbelievable. Seniors.
Sarmatica Group. Let's go.
Let's look at our bets for games tonight.
We do our bets for our great pals at Bet365.
You want to get in on the action for the Stanley Cup playoffs.
Had Bet 365.
They got you.
Game props, player props, totals, money line.
We can even bet on futures like series winners, conference champions.
Who's going to win the Cup?
Stanley Cup champions.
Bet on all that and much, much more.
I found you can bet on politics even.
Nice.
Yeah.
I mean, interesting.
That's all.
very interesting.
They're smarter than the politicians, which is just...
I'm ignoring the polls.
I'm actually looking at these odds makers.
I feel like they got a real.
They would absolutely.
Whatever your bet is, it's never ordinary.
It's Bet 365.
Download the app.
Get in the game.
An official partner, the Stanley Cup playoffs must be 19 or older.
There's the slate tonight.
What do you need to know?
Sends favorite at home despite being down 2.0.
Lightning favored at home despite being down 1.0.
Wild.
Dogs at home after beating Vaggart.
guess in game two.
And the blues favored on the road,
or excuse me, even money at home.
Jets favored on the road.
I like the wild there.
I also do.
Have I said you my bets jacket or did I just literally not send them to you?
You didn't send them.
So I've got the Toronto money line.
I just think, look, Ottawa's going to have a great run.
It might not be this year.
Not ready.
Goaltender looks hot.
And maybe it's a series, but the Leafs just have a poise.
about them. Maybe this is Fool's
goal. It's two games, small sample. I like
how they looked. I'm taking them at plus 110.
Numbers too good to pass up.
I also am with Rett. I'm taking the Minnesota
Money Line against Vegas
plus 130
for the team that was better in game two. Now they
head home to a charged up building.
I don't know if they win this series, but I like them tonight in game
three, wild and the
Leafs. You can parlay those if you wanted, but it's
plus 110 for Toronto, plus 130 for many.
Those are back.
That's for bet 365.
Use a promo code nation.
I'm going to need a lot of TVs tonight.
Yeah, it's stagered enough.
It's a draft on 435, 7, 7.30.
NFL draft, the beauty of that is,
is they take their sweet-ass time.
They do.
Oh, my goodness.
Like, round one will be, what,
three and a half hours?
Minimum.
Yeah, it's a whole thing.
So set a timer for five minutes,
check in.
Give yourself the minute leading into the pick,
switch back.
And then obviously when it gets close to Steelers time,
that's your feature TV.
I can't miss a second.
What if there's a big trade,
like they might have to move up.
This is where the smart TV's coming,
because you get the multiple screens.
You can also pull up social media.
You got a frickin' phone in your hand.
That works just fine.
I was doing this one the other night.
It was too much going on.
And politicians.
Standing up,
but they got like a power play with a minute left here.
This one's in overtime.
It's a lot.
So whatever it is,
never ordinary at Bet 365.
Set an AI alarm.
It'll keep you.
updated a lot of trustings oh yeah yeah built me an alarm or anything anything
anything stolen related please send me immediately that's a great idea rat
i don't know that it's a thing but you could invent it maybe sell you a guy it's
it's 100% of thing easy peasy so jack could monetize it yep it's the jack oometer
stealers playoff alarm not going off for a while do it jack uh enjoy the games tonight hey i got
Super chats.
Good.
Thank you.
Yesterday.
Disappointing.
No super chats.
Today,

for the youth centers
of Calgary.
Thank you to all

Let's get to it.
Stuart.
Stuart.
Stuart,
Stuart Schultz.
Oh, wife's grandma

things popcorn.
Yeah, he is not impressed with this thing.
And he ordered me one.
It's red.
It's got like the base, and then there's the top and it spits it out.
Yeah.
Hang on.
I'm trying to get the research for you.
Stuart, he is, uh, Rett's a man that cares a lot about his popcorn.
His father next level.
Yeah.
Because what is it?
The white hulless.
Yep.
Colonels.
Yeah.
Colonels.
Yep.
From early's.
Earlys.
and garden in Saskatoon absolutely
wonderful t-shirts we literally
someone in Saskatoon's like why is our
web traffic and deliveries going nuts to Calgary
today. Rhett had gone on
some tangent about how the best popcorn
the world. And it is. Order online
from this farm and garden
store in Saskatoon and they're like
yeah someone told us the show
mentioned it. Is this you guys
like yeah? They're like we'll give you some shirts.
And massive bags of popcorn.
You didn't get a popcorn.
God, just get popcorn. So good.
I love movie theater popcorn, but this is...
We love gratuitous plugs that lead to free popcorn and t-shirts as well, don't we?
Early's.
Farming garden, garden, garden, center.
Yep.
Next to chat.
What's up with that?
699.
Question for Jack.
Where does Rourke rank in the draft?
Cheers from the Rock.
Nathan Rourke's brother.
Yes.
I believe a late round draft pick, 6-7th round.
I don't know much about them for your starter for the...
he Hoosiers Indiana brother was at Ohio
not the Buccas the other Ohio
yes and Nathan and he bounced around practice
rosters in the NFL for a while had some promising plays
then didn't and after torching the CFL for a bit
now his return to the BC lines which allowed to the
Stamps to get big play VA which I'm excited about
you don't need to shift my focus here shift focus to the brother
good Canadian boy at court
back.
At least it's a flyer.
Who cares about the stupid
Steelers in their draft?
It's easy pop.
He's Cuisinart.
Cuisinart, easy pop, Stuart.
Hot air.
Hot air.
Any more super chat?
Speaking of hot air?
That's all.
Okay.
Enjoy the games.
Be well.
I hope Dean's okay.
Tomorrow's a Friday.
I'm not worried about him.
He's with his daughter.
She's running the show.
Yeah.
I trust her.
I would be worried if he was alone.
I that's alliance then he's walking into yeah I don't know what he's gotten himself into I don't think
he does either no some people would prep and be ready he's it's walking in naked and he doesn't look
good naked no it's not ideal he's got a lot of driving to do oh yeah what's that five hours five
hour and then he's going straight to manitoba like he comes back here and then goes to manitoba what
yeah that's idiotic yeah it's dumb they're making fun of politicians
he could be a politician oh for sure scared to make a decision can't move for it yeah oh boy let's
get out of here before we lose a partner that'll do for the day boys see you buddies
