Brett.
Ryan?
What day is it?
Rabbit, rabbit?
No.
He said you had a new fancy one.
I know.
I forgot it,
but I keep one in the cupboard here.
Jack is wearing a Steelers.
Jack,
can we get you on camera somehow?
It's not an easy ass.
Welcome to Barnburner.
It's a Friday show.
Dean is so miserable right now.
I've got a text from him.
Hey, football.
Yeah, I know.
Security's a disaster.
The lines of millions.
Where are they going?
He's out of town.
He's going to see some band in Nashville.
What a life.
Good for him.
What a life.
And so it'll be retro and myself today.
We got a lot to get to.
Darren Dregor will join us for the first time of the season.
Football picks today, which we love.
We've got an upcoming party.
You can come to no fee, no charge.
Yes, beer.
And don't be a D.
Don't be a D.
Be at the O.C.
We'll explain that later.
And, of course, we've got to get to the great clips inbox today.
so an absolute ton to get to.
But how are you?
I'm happy now because boom's upset.
Yeah.
I don't like to say that, but it's true.
Well, here's the thing.
He was ready to bite your head off yesterday.
I know, because I called him on his BS.
He's happiest when he's miserable.
So I think he's happy because he seems really miserable.
If I've got something to start raving mad about it.
Yeah.
Yeah, this is good.
He's going to have a great weekend.
He's going to chill out.
but he's got to get through that security line
and get a drink in his hand.
All hell,
and there'll be a flight canceled and I missed this.
Totally.
So,
okay,
what's going on?
We got a weekend coming up
to Flamesplay Saturday,
Sunday.
Wranglers open their season.
I'm mad at myself
that I didn't get flyers tickets.
I like,
for some reason,
the flyers are a,
I want to watch team.
Well,
this year especially,
because Michecov adds to the level of it.
They got that Jamie Driesdale
in the Cutter Gochay deal.
They got some Moxie Jet,
Lechenko,
makes it as an 18-year,
old. My old teammate,
Breyer, running thing. The Erson kid
just out of nowhere in net this year. I think
they're going to be fun. I don't know if their playoff team or not,
but like Philly will be fun.
But Jacks. And more importantly,
yeah, Toritz could flip out too.
100%. Anytime you get
torts, it's a win.
Can we somehow get Jack up here? We need to show
off. Go to the three shot and then
just walk up to where boom. I don't have it on.
I'll come at the end. Let's not, let's get to
what we got to get to. We're busy, busy,
we're like 23 minutes. We're like 23 minutes
away from Dragger. Thank you for being here with us on a Friday. Without further ado,
let us get to the Pinda Report for Village Honda. It is in the Northwest Automall, your dealership
for life. I'm thinking about the winners. I'm thinking about the rims. If you're thinking about a new
vehicle or you have a used one to sell, the place to be VillageHonda.com or in the Northwest
Auto Mall, new used. They've got access to the entire dealer group for pre-owned inventory and all
new vehicle pricing, MSRP. Village Honda, presenting a lot of hot.
hockey news. Let's start with the game tomorrow at home against the flyers. Who will be in net ret?
Is it this man with the Johnny Goddrow on the back of his mask or will the flames continue to
roll with Dan Vladar coming off the win? There's Wolfie.
Hard to see. I asked Boom and he completely dodged the question. Do you notice that yesterday?
Who would you put in that? I have no opinions. I would put. Good thing you do a sports show.
You go back to Lidar. I would. He was good. It's just awkward to be like,
Yeah, our goalie with the five goals against us.
I don't care.
No, I don't care either.
It's just funny.
Honestly, if I'm a husband, win and you're in.
Yeah, sure.
And I suppose the wrinkle being that they're going to be in Emmettin Sunday.
So you get Wolfie in there, I imagine.
When in your end, but Wolf, you're playing Sunday.
Yeah, yeah.
So back to backs is a little different.
You only play three and four, Dan.
But, okay.
So Lidar, Wolf was the question.
Schedule-wise, Jackie.
We talked about it.
It's Saturday night.
Sunday evening.
I don't like these Sunday 6 p.ms.
I'm going to be doing afterburner with Pike on Sunday.
It's Cammy and Mike on Saturday.
And there we go.
Well, Sunday night football's on.
Your family dinners trying to get kids to bed.
Although it's a holiday on Monday.
On the holiday.
You're good, man.
So there it is.
It was away, home, away, home, away.
Away.
Away.
Home. Good try, Rhett.
Well, that doesn't.
it makes sense.
At, at, at.
It is true.
The bottom at should definitely not be an at.
Right.
That's what I was going off.
Or you just make them all ats and then the team on the rights at home.
I get it.
We're really critiquing R.J. Hart.
He's doing it.
You know he's going to lose sleeping on that tonight.
Arch, we love you, buddy.
The new intro, by the way.
Real good.
Unbelievable.
Talented, talented, talented guy.
A little bit weird with the Disney stuff.
I don't know if you noticed that.
Yeah, I try to ignore.
I know. I just pretend I don't see like suitcases, all kinds of like suitcases.
Buddy rabbits are gross.
Yes, I don't know about that. I don't know about that.
Where were you?
It was how many years ago today?
When do you remember when, when an all-time grade, a Hall of Famer laced up for the flames?
But in the most entertaining and fun way possible, it was October 11th, 2017.
18, 9, 9, 9,000.
Seven years ago already since the traveling joggers.
And the real yager himself suited up.
And there is a Johnny.
Oh my God.
That's pretty cool.
Still playing.
He is still playing.
He's not only league, but he's playing.
I think retire so we can get you in the hall,
yeah,
or just play forever.
Just keep playing.
Yeah,
just wonder.
What a beauty.
And tonight,
if you're starving for hockey
and you're like,
I just need to get me some,
I can't wait till the home opener Saturday.
If you're not friends,
it is the Wrangler's home opener tonight.
They got to pair with Abbotsford,
Stinking Canucks.
Farmer team, farmer team?
Both. Former? Farmer. Both.
And who, of course, that is.
Famously, I'll give you the clue. He's a left shot.
Elia. Salovia.
That big right-handed defenseman fills a lot of holes.
Pender just makes it up. He doesn't have a clue.
Sometimes, I guess. I don't know.
Last night in the NHL, we had dreams come true.
No, we famously remember.
Isn't that a song? Dreams.
There's a lot of songs, I suppose.
Three.
I don't know.
Fleetwood Mac, maybe.
No.
There is one for, I think,
it's more of a.
Anyway.
So remember when Tvera's
signed in Toronto?
Johnny T.
And they pulled out the photo of him
and what was he?
He was tucked into his,
his Leafs jammies and his Leafs
comforter below his Leafs poster.
There's another generation of that happening.
And I think he got the winner last night.
Stephen Lorenz.
So you can see at the bottom.
Let's go full screen on this, Jack.
How it started versus how it's going.
It's a picture of,
Lorenz with the Sundeen poster behind him in bed with his Leafs jersey on.
And then, of course, last night, he gets his first goal as a member of the Leafs.
Then even better, his great eight year book.
Oh, great eight.
Name Steve, nickname Stevie.
He's a hockey player.
That's original.
Favorite memory sports teams.
Yeah, got it.
Where will you be in 15 years, Steve?
I'll be playing in the NHL brackets with the Leafs.
brackets. That's pretty cool. And that's the weight you have to carry as a no, that's the power.
Yes, that's the power of the mind right there. You put it out there and it'll happen.
Yeah. Before we switch to the rest of the hockey news, I'm just seeing in the comments. I believe Justin Kirkland's going to be called up today to play center for the NHL squad. So we'll just verify that before we make it official.
Well, I'm just seeing in the comments and it is 10.13 and 10 a.m. as usual.
when we get the news here.
So I'll just make sure that's correct.
Listen,
people are going to try to tie this to
Jacob Peltier has nothing to do with that.
Peltier's not a center.
We talked about it yesterday in the show.
Would it be Sam Morton or someone else?
Justin Kirkland's name thrown out.
So to me, that makes a ton of sense.
If all of a sudden Jacob Peltier is supposed to play center,
then yeah, be outraged.
But he's never been a center here.
So why would it be?
Maybe it's not a palo.
Yeah.
Oh, I got the email.
Oh.
Got the email press releases, Calgary Flames.
Recall Center, Justin Kirkland.
There it is.
Had it written down just in K-6-3.
I'm pretty sure Kirkland was with Stockton when you were there.
Stockton.
So we had a three-year stint in Stockton in 1920 through 21-22.
The last two seasons have been in Anaheim and Arizona's affiliates, so San Diego and then Tucson up and down a tiny bit, mostly down.
Very good H.L. Setterman.
He's back into the fold of the Flames Organization.
this season.
And why is he here for exactly this?
Because you needed center depth at the American League level.
And why do you need center depth of the American level?
Because if you run into injuries at the NHL level, you need centers.
Jacob Peltier, if there's a winger injury, be stunned if he doesn't get called up.
Not when it's a center injury.
Rooney's out for a bit, as we imagine with the hit Thursday night.
Vancouver.
Concussion protocol.
So probably I'd think not this weekend.
If he's feeling great, I would think Tuesday against Chicago, maybe.
And so Justin just
I would just walk to the club
Take your time
Let Kirkland play for a while
When you feel good and you're ready to go
Let's just wait a couple days and then
Yeah
Yeah
When you feel like you can't be stopped
One more week
No when you played that was the policy with concussions right
So once you feel good just add a few weeks
No we just never admitted
Right okay you pretended you didn't have it
And you taped an ad vote to your temple
If you mention your head
You will be sitting
You're blackballed.
Things change a little.
I can learn to shut my mouth, I guess.
Yeah, and I'm not trying to take runs
of guys in the comments, but to stir up a
Peltje. Your controversy is not
what this is about at all.
Peltier is down to go get some confidence
and kick ass on the wing. Get back to that point
per game HL guy and call him back up when you need
a winger. Feel free to contribute.
Let's go. Tonight, home opener.
Doggy. Big peltz opener.
Yeah.
Well, I don't like your tone with him.
Hey.
I had to give Hansick shit.
That's right.
The team thought they were being all sexy.
I don't know.
I gave cadre shit at the end of the year that one year.
How was last year?
Well, yeah.
Biggidla.
Remember when I started on this gig?
Jordano.
It really, it might just be you calling out everyone.
Yesterday you took runs at Robin.
Or stayed in the obvious.
Like, whof, he's terrible.
Back to the NHL news.
I always love when we get the brother.
on brother action we did last night brother brother brother we could have had the thing did he take the
thing he took the thing he's gatekeeping the sound effects rude this guy has control issues
Brady and Matthew watch the video on your left there's Brady he still looks like a giant
infant center look at and look at this he's got a cute little boy brand new rider
rider that's a the draft in 18 years
That's the kid.
Just don't ask any questions.
You're an agent.
Does anyone represent your son there?
Can he hold a pen yet?
When can he sign with me?
And there's Matthew, which is great.
Now, the only thing better than that,
because Matthew's like,
Brady plays more like the old man.
And Matthew acts more like the old man.
Like, he's the pain in the ass,
like get under your skin,
whereas Brady's just,
I think much more of a powerful power forward,
if you know what I mean.
Like Keith was.
I would assume Matthew enjoys being single.
Brady's already having kids with this wife.
Like, they're very different.
Well.
And so the question be, who would you rather have?
I mean, both is the, it's a trick question.
But in Ottawa, where this game was last night,
they knew who they wanted.
So let's have a listen.
Brady's better.
And then Matthew finds out.
Catches on with their chanting.
And he starts laughing.
You love to see it.
And what we really want to see,
Ottawa good in this rivalry?
And Olmark was last night.
The old fly in the ointment is, well, who's better?
Well, it's hard to tell when you don't ever make the playoffs and have a,
and now could your brothers won the cup.
But I actually would rather have.
Oh, can imagine that.
You could have round one.
Yes.
If Florida won the Atlantic and Ottawa gets in as a wild card, that could happen.
Or it's a two, three.
I'd like that.
Maybe Toronto wins the division and Boston, something horrible happens or Florida,
Toronto, or not Florida.
But yeah, like, let's see these guys in a series together.
Please.
Please.
Would be good.
Great.
Debues last night.
First overall pick, Macklin Celebrini.
Have a night.
What a beauty.
Now, careful, because they connects this thing.
They were up 4-1, but it was good until it got to 4-1.
Zero, we're seven minutes into the game here.
This is Celebrini.
Zip, spinorama off the defenseman skating in.
Pretty, lucky, all the above.
Congrats on your.
first goal in your first game.
But even that being said,
it was total fluke.
But it happened, but good,
fluke happens for the good play.
And you just see it. It's a high skill play. He's doing
a backhand spin around it of the slot.
And yeah, that's how he gets around a defenseman here.
Whoop.
Like that's pretty as hell.
I was actually wondering how I would defend that when I saw.
Okay. Now these guys are doing this.
You know what you do? You go over to her gear and say,
how can you let they go in off your skate?
You're screwing me here.
Head out of your.
Gear'd be on the left, wouldn't he?
or you play left as right shot would i would never have done that never no no right now that wasn't it
he also finishes with a helper no big deal he's on pace for 164 i don't want to overreact too early uh celebrating
the nice debut they'd blow the four one lead uh but how about this celebrini second fastest school
initial debut only lemieux did it faster less than three minutes in geez back in 84 where were you in
84.
Moving to Saskatoon.
Saskai.
Yeah, saying goodbye to
Frontier.
Los friends. Frontier Saskatchewa.
This is for Jack. I saw this yesterday.
He's got a Steelers Hawaiian t-shirt on.
They took Nagee Harris and Pat Friermuth
to a penguins game.
They did this last year. It's a little longer,
but it's beautiful. So Nagee
is got, they both horned Crosby. He's on the left.
Frymuth knows a little bit about hockey.
Nagee doesn't, which is always the best.
I don't know this hell here.
I ain't know, he's the 23.
He's the, I used to go to hell it goes on the franchise mode.
I ain't gonna lie, the hockey game is fun as hell.
Come on.
Take his head on.
Ain't it.
Oh, shit.
Oh, shit.
Oh, shit.
Oh, shit.
Damn, is this stable?
Did this ever fail?
How do they substitute like that so fast, though?
Like, there's not even no time out.
Oh, yeah.
Balkin.
Hey, brad throw a dime.
Who's that Malkin?
He threw a dime.
Hey, what up, Tutu.
Hey, dude.
Hey, dudeuce.
Hey, give us a little kid.
I find it crazy out, like, everything.
Every team here is like yellow, black and yellow.
Baseball, hockey and football?
It's like a family.
Bro, what movie was that?
It's like a comedy and then like,
it's a hockey movie though.
Dude.
Yeah, yeah.
How do you know that?
Oh, good.
I did my hockey park?
Did I win in the locker room?
Is I get a case in the beach?
Can you finish?
Fire!
Shoot the cross.
Oh.
Hey, that dude, he got stupid a.
Oh, trip.
Tripp, sir.
He got tripping in hockey too?
What?
I guess they got similar rules.
Offside?
Come on!
Offside?
Offside?
Yeah, offside?
It seems so hard to score a goal though, because look all that patty he got in that small
school.
Oh, we're about to get a hit coming.
Go, go, go.
God damn.
Oh, shit.
Oh, shit.
Oh, this ain't good.
Get back.
Nah.
Oh, this is going to.
Nah, y'all didn't just see that, friend?
I told you when I said.
I said, yeah.
I see it.
You did it for you?
He did it for you.
He's like three.
He ain't got no filter.
Tell them.
Tell them.
Dude, they're skating fast right now.
That's crazy how they can maneuver so well with this puck.
that's a small piece and they're really accurate.
I wonder how it's sharp the bottom of the things out.
I'm assuming pretty sharp.
How many Hockey States is going to go through it for a year?
Did they go through a year?
So that's Friarmouth and your boy, Naja Harris.
Jack, we need you in here.
I always love the Penguins that they did it last year.
I don't remember who it was, but it was the best.
Those are fun to watch.
I'm glad they had fun because that game was complete shit.
Because they won last night, but that was the Wednesday,
the Wednesday, the Wednesday was a Pondi, six.
Because I saw the Rangers, they're like, oh, yeah, they didn't score in that game.
He was waiting for them to celebrate a goal.
Nothing to celebrate.
That's fine.
You went to the game.
You better be better this week.
You got,
you got Nage this week?
It's on your team?
Get in the end zone,
Nage.
They got the Raiders this week.
I think they'll be,
they'll be doing some touchdown dances.
We'll get to our football picks later.
Don't worry about it.
Okay, we'll keep moving.
Phil Kessel signed.
How about this?
Phil Kessel.
Yeah.
Well, what do he?
He is signed with the World Poker Tour.
Oh.
I'm okay with that.
Phil's got a great...
I mean, I like that.
Feels like that's right up Phil's alley.
Isn't he old enough that the Oilers have given him a call?
What the hell's going on here?
Come on.
Is there another Kessel in the league?
I thought I heard Kessel in...
There's Kessel ring and there's a Kessel defenseman.
Yeah.
Yeah, you're right.
Anyway, good for you, Phil.
Do you hear the Oilers are kicking tires on Giordano?
That was a rumor out there.
Go ahead.
You're the oldest team in the league.
You're out a 40-year-old.
And that's, the sad part is I would love Gio to go
there or to win a cup not
there and I don't know if he can help
him. I don't
if I'm Edmonton is
that? No. So you need
to go to a team of your geo that's missing a six
seven. Yeah. The Oilers are missing a four.
Yeah, you're none. He's not going into Phil
of four. They've got Stetcher
and all these guys. Absolutely berated.
Kulak,
Emberson, Brown,
like they're swimming in six sevens. It's not the
red slot.
Okay. We'll move.
Now, your kid, your eldest, same birth year as Landon DuPont?
Yes.
And did you know Mickey well growing up or not?
No, I knew him because he played with Montsdor, so and he was with the Flames organization a little bit, but I didn't know him.
Talked about in the spring, Landon DuPont, the latest of exceptional status kids in the Western League.
It's good company.
And here you are, exceptional status players from our boy Cam Robinson, who's an absolute beauty.
John Tavares through his first seven games, 10 points.
Connor Bedard had 12.
These are 15 year olds playing Major Junior.
Landon DuPont 11.
Only difference?
Landon playing D.
He's a rover.
He's a rover.
That feels like a shot.
I mean, he's very good.
It's not a shot at all.
He's so good.
He can be up the ice and they can get a breakway and he catches them.
Point being, he's hanging with some elite forwards.
Yes.
Yeah, he's going to be good.
Oh, there's no, do not.
Yeah.
You just hear exceptional status in like 80% are like great
NHLers. And then the other 20, it's like,
you don't want to throw
too much expectation, but you said the vision's
just, it's unbelievable.
He's, yeah, his instincts are
off the chart.
Through the roof.
That's cool.
Through the roof is a good way of saying.
Where's he playing this year? Everett.
And so whenever it rips through town, that'd be a game to see
or if they play this year. Yeah.
Is that a conference? Yes. Yes.
100%. Oh yeah. Because I know
October 30 I've talked about it, Medicine Hat.
That's going to be a ton of fun. They're struggling.
it's early
Lindstrom
Basha
McKenna
your boy Corby's
told me
they didn't like
being picked first
overall
expectations are a thing
I said it's back
then lose early
get rid of those expectations
yeah change those
they really crank up the pressure
that'll help right
yeah I'll lose a bunch
Major League Baseball playoffs
continue let's take a look
at the slate tonight
oh my God how good is this
Darvish against Yamamoto
that's all
Wasn't Darvish the guy that was super highly touted, well-traveled.
I think he ended up spending some time of Chicago.
He was in Texas.
Texas for a bit.
Yeah, Texas sounded the big deal.
Now with the Padres.
And then Yamamoto is like a this year version of Darvish, highly touted pitcher out of Japan.
That'll be fun.
It's an elimination game.
No, no, that was Otani.
That as well.
He's also a hitter.
Funny how that happens.
Yeah, they added both those guys this summer.
Wild.
And yeah, the Padres can move on with him.
Let's go fathers.
Let's go dads.
I'll be upset if the Padres lose, actually.
I don't dislike the Dodgers so much, but it's just like,
I like the villain here.
Yes.
I like the black hat.
A little bit of, we're not, those guys are the big dogs in town.
Let's screw them.
Knock them off.
Yeah.
And look, the Dodgers, all these guys are here forever.
Like they got Otani locked in for the rest of his life.
It's not like it's their last swing at this thing.
That's the,
action tonight and I need you to be in New York on Monday.
Is that a problem?
No, I love it.
Because I know it's a holiday where you're not going to work here.
I got the penthouse set up.
Because here's what we got on Monday.
So let's look at this.
408 in the afternoon.
Mets, Dodgers, or Padres, whoever wins that series.
So you're going to start in Queens at City Field, I believe.
We're going to zip you over to the Bronx.
I'm sure there's a subway zip, zip not too bad.
You're going to catch Yankees.
They'll play, what, the winner of Cleveland.
Cleveland, Detroit tonight.
So you get the double header.
And then, you know, hopefully the Yanke's got a big lead early.
And you can zip over and catch the end of Bill's Jets.
What a weekend.
We could have had to.
NYC.
That's enough for a weekend.
Oh, we could 7.38.
No, I know.
You got to pick one.
What would you do?
Well, you go Bill's jets.
And then you probably have game two of the ALCS on Tuesday.
Exactly.
That's what I was just thinking.
Man, that's unreal.
We kind of missed that here.
If I showed that to the shoveler,
oh, man.
might punch me in the face for making the move back to Alberta.
Because I'm almost guaranteeing that we would be in New York City.
At least at one of those.
Yeah.
For sure.
Yeah, that's way too fun.
You kind of miss it here.
I mean, I love the city.
We aren't close to another major center.
We sure aren't, Ryan, and I'm not going to the cultural capital.
No, absolutely not.
All the good ones, they get out of there.
Damn, right.
There's some dry sound.
I'm looking at you.
You're a good one.
Meanwhile, in Calgary, though, there's still things to do.
I told you about the Rangler's Home Opener tonight.
We got- Tell me more.
Tomorrow is Fan Appreciation Day for Cavalry FC, their final home game of the year.
A victory will lock in the two seed.
Just wait one second.
Sorry.
Five o'clock tomorrow.
How's your scared looking?
It looks real good.
Crisp fall day, but should.
How's it look?
It's nice.
Sunday and Monday.
It's spectacular.
I'm an American still, but it's still nice.
And then look at this.
Jerry Kindger, my boy on the left there, he and somebody young.
It's not your boy.
It's someone you've met.
No, that is, I played hockey with his younger brother growing up.
I love Jerry.
He's played my boy.
He is.
If I see him, I give him a hug.
You don't do hugs.
I'm tighter with him than I am with you.
If you ever.
I think I tried one.
I got Heism.
Did you see when Aaron Rogers tried to hug Sala, like week one?
They were up big at half.
Half-time week two because they got stomp by the Niners a week one.
It's like, yeah, the Jets are good.
Come here, everybody.
He's like, it's half-time.
Don't you ever do that again?
No, no hugs.
So 5 o'clock Saturday, that'll be a ton of fun.
I might have to go if you can get me free tickets.
And I think also you've got the stamps playing as well.
So you could theoretically try the triple header in Calgary.
It's the Calgary version of that.
And you go stamps, Calvary.
And of course, the Saturday night.
It's easier to get around the flames and flyers.
which will be fun.
And again, not too late for tickets,
although you're talking as if they haven't been given to you free yet,
you won't get them.
It's kind of, I busted your cover there.
Because you know, you can always play your wallet
and just buy tickets right now.
No, no, no, no, no.
You've given enough to the.
Yeah, I'm like, give her and a taker.
Two items for you?
I didn't know you gave you your kid that remote control playing.
This is kind of cool, hey?
I love flying.
So this is what?
down by Weimar's house. Let's check it out. Let's see.
This is Rhett's kid flying the plane.
Ret, look out. Oh, oh, geez, Brett.
She got a hole.
You got a dodge there.
That'll be it for the PIN report today. I believe we've got our insider guest.
So a big thank you to Village Honda.
It's as if the CRV was designed for Calgary and it's unpredictable weather.
No matter the conditions, the CRV sits atop the pack amongst compact SUVs.
You can feel confident behind the wheel of your CRV where there is a plethora of driver safety features that come standard.
Go get one, Northwest Automall VillageHonda.com.
That's your Pinda Report.
And let's get right to it.
We have our NHL insider.

Mr. Treger, welcome in.
Happy new season to you, sir.
Guys, you are looking fresh.
You're looking ready for the new season.
You know, look, with all due respect to Boomer, there's nothing wrong with the two-man show on occasion, right?
You know, kind of keeps things light.
You get lots of information out there.
You don't have the host gumming things up all the time.
I know the feeling.
I like it.
Yeah, and it's good to get him a day off now and then.
He needed a day off if you.
Yeah.
It's been putting in a lot of hours, dregs.
Yeah.
Is this a hygiene issue or a mental health issue?
No, it's just a, he has to deal with us every day.
That is, I guess, a strong mental toll.
We're sending him to Nashville to watch the music for a few days.
So he'll be in great tape next week.
You won't be miserable until like Wednesday because Monday's a holiday.
So usually get that one day bounce back.
So I hope you guys actually gave him some advice.
Now, not that this is ever happening.
You've got to be careful in Nashville.
Oh, yeah.
I mean, it's a cool city, but they don't mess around there in terms of the police force.
They tell you to move, you move.
They tell you to get out, you get out.
you get out. There's no lip. There's nothing. So I hope you gave Boomer that advice.
Red is a connoisseur, and I believe on the tourism, Tennessee payroll.
So we've only heard Nashville stories for a decade. We actually did the show down there for like three or four days.
I want to say eight years ago. And then Boom and I were down there for the draft two summers ago.
So boom's a vet now. I would say this. I will not talk poorly about Nashville, like Nashville in the 90s better than I do today.
see interesting why too commercialized to very yeah small major small town feel back then it was you didn't
have seven uh floors of bar in each bar yeah i feel that yeah i'm this is like when the guys
like yeah yeah i used to listen to that band five years ago and they're playing 50 person venues they're
they're sellouts now like hey popularity what a curse to have uh i if someone's saying let's go to nashville i'm
going. I'm just saying it was, it had a little better.
So, Dreggis, why not start there?
We're talking about the season. Nashville was a hell of a July 1.
Barry Trots has not waited long or hesitated to a dip a toe in the water.
He's jumped in with a cannonball.
It's Stamcoast, it's Marcia So on top of Brady Shea on the back end.
They get the Saras extension.
They move Ascarov.
Trots has got a plan here.
What do you make of the new look, Freds?
Well, I like it a lot.
And, you know, I like the comment coming out of Barry Trots when he signed Marsden, he signed Stephen Stamco's.
And, you know, I think he described those two guys, specifically Stamco's, as a serial winner, right?
You know, he wants to surround himself and furnish this organization with serial winners.
Well, with those two men, that's literally what you're getting.
We had Stammer on the Rayndrax podcast this week.
And, you know, he's probably tired of talking about how difficult it was.
to leave Tampa Bay and the decision that he had to make.
He acknowledged that he thought he was staying in Tampa Bay until July 1st,
and then he wasn't.
But, you know, he talked about the exchange that he had.
He got a call from John Marshall.
And so neither one of those guys knew the other guy was signing in Nashville.
And as he tells the story, Stanco's, he said he thought he was getting this call
because Marshall was pissed off, that he was taking his money, he was taking his spot.
And now a door had closed in Nashville.
He said, no, I just signed in Nashville.
So, and Ray actually made the point.
So now you've got, assuming the lines stay this way,
Bruno likes to get the blender out on occasion there in Nashville.
But he's got Stamcoast on one side,
Marcel on the other side, and Novak at Center Ice.
Like, talk about the pressure on a centerman to disperse the puck
and make sure that that's a good crisp pass.
So I think the Preds are going to be one of the more intriguing stories
and one of the more entertaining teams to watch this here.
Okay, we won't bear the lead.
Every expert out there has picked the Oilers.
If you didn't, it's small, small, small outlier.
So are you counting yourself amongst the believers or the, yeah, you know,
there's 32 teams.
The favorite every year often doesn't win.
Where are you at here?
Yeah, no, I'm still a believer.
I mean, look, I was also with the masses who,
counting them out in the Stanley Cup final when they're down three games to love.
And it looked like the Florida Panthers were just going to mop them up.
And they found a way to persevere and push back and force that game seven as we know.
Now, you know, there's going to be trials and tribulations.
You do not go wire to wire in today's era of the national hockey and the turnover that happens in the offseason.
But it's also clear and not just based on one game.
I'm not putting Cody C.C. or Philip Broberg or Vincent Day Arnais,
on the Mount Rushmore of NHL defensemen.
I'm not.
But those three men are better than what they brought in or what they have,
with all due respect to those guys.
So it's pretty obvious, I think, to Stan Boland,
not based on the one game,
getting shellacked by the Winnipeg Jets,
just through seeing training camp in the preseason go through that,
they're going to have to address that.
You know, the expectation is high on Darnell Nurse,
finding a way to be better than what he's been for a long time, frankly,
maybe dating back to the point of contract extension, right?
He has to be otherwise.
I just, I don't know that there's enough possibility availability
for the type of players that they need to fix what's broken on that back in.
And, you know, that puts too much stress on Stu Skinner or so it appears.
and then by extension, that puts more stress on your offensive guys to try and outscore your mistakes.
So there's a lot of work, but I'm still in the camp of believers that this is a team that is going to find its path.
I like their goalie.
The forward group is very old but very good and the most important two players aren't old.
But I'm still surprised that for the second year in a row, they continually prioritize scoring on a team that doesn't have an issue scoring.
like day one, Arvinson, day one Skinner, like, what's the rush on the scoring where that's what put you into this offer sheet pickle?
If you really had the foresight of the offer sheets potentially happening, would you not have moved CC early, kept Broberg and then say, patience, if you're going to come to play for one of a cup, wait for five days.
Let us sort this out.
I mean, I don't know.
And then now you're hearing things about the president, a lot of his former clients are involved in all these deals.
Is he trying to run the team out of Toronto?
Like I think there's this is a new regime.
Make no mistake.
Yeah.
No, I hear you.
All I know about Jeff Jackson, that's who you're talking about, is that he was very
complimentary and worked exceptionally well with Kenny Holland.
I mean, Kenny Holland wouldn't have it any other way, right?
He's just, he's not, you know, he's been there, done that.
Ownership likes to be heavily involved in Edmonton, which can be problematic.
But that's also why you've got Jeff Jackson there.
Paul Coffey is in tune with ownership and maybe there's a buffer that's available there.
But now you've got a new guy and that's Stan Mulman who also comes with a wealth of experience
and not the first rodeo for Stan Bolman when it comes with dealing as a manager with varying types
of ownership and senior management.
So yeah, we can step over the pieces that they brought in.
I like Victor Arvinson.
I think he's a real good fit there.
I think he's going to be an excellent, serviceable player, very versatile guy.
I didn't quite understand Jeff Skinner.
You know, I think they're betting on this guy being motivated and the change of scenery
and all of that.
Didn't have a very good camp, didn't have very good preseason.
He was briefly demoted to the third line.
And then for game one, he was elevated back up in the first line.
So what sort of consistent offensive are you getting out of Jeff Skinner?
And if you're not getting that, then with all due respect, you're not getting a whole,
heck of a lot, which I think kind of breathes into the point that you're making your Pinder and that
they didn't address the issue, right? The issue is on the back end. Maybe they feel confident,
though, fellas, like, look, you know, I look at Toronto as an example here. They've got all these guys
like hack and paws eventually going to come off LTI. Timothy Lilligran can't make the lineup.
Like there are depth pieces with a lot of the cap stricken clubs in the NHL that could be available,
you know, probably through waivers,
preferably if you're Edmond in through trade,
just for cap reasons.
So maybe that's who Goldman is thinking.
I just don't understand.
It feels like it's been years they haven't addressed the defense issue.
It's fair.
Three, four years?
Yeah, right.
You need a defense,
you need a defenseman.
Well, they got at home, I guess,
which was a great move.
But still not.
You don't have a solid decor.
Like Ty Emerson is being asked by top four minutes.
He was what, like a 5, six, seven for San Jose last year?
And then you're up next to Nurse, who you're saying needs to be better, but is another year into his 30s.
I don't know.
And it was like that was the pair.
To me, sorry, Draggs.
No, go ahead.
Everything switched in Dallas in that series when they brought Brobergen and separated CC Nurse.
Those two together were a train wreck.
And from that point forth in that series, the Oilers just took over.
And Broberg had hardly played.
But in the semifinals and the finals, on the biggest stage against the best teams in the league, he looked really good.
good in top four minutes.
Yeah.
You had that guy.
Right.
I get that.
And that's where it was a weird strategy.
And they were boxed in, right?
From a cap perspective, they were boxed in.
But doesn't it feel like teams always find a way?
The creative teams always fun.
They're the Vegas Golden Knights.
And I'm not talking about the Robin Leonard situation.
That's a completely different beast because both the PA and the National Hockey League
agreed that extenuating personal service.
circumstance, all of that. But this isn't the first time that Vegas goal, the nights have
somehow had things work in their favor, right? Toronto finds a way. Other clubs find a way.
And to allow Philip Broberg to go and really get nothing back in return, I mean, it's offer
sheet acceptance. That's, it's not nothing, but in the moment it doesn't help you. And to amplify
the issues in Edmonton is pretty obvious. So you've got darnel nurse with that mammoth contract,
tied around your neck and you've got Evan Bouchard coming right around the corner here and he's got to be
looking at the summer yeah I mean to extend Bouchard are you kidding me like 11 12 it's got to be up there like I mean
in the tens right I mean at least so it's I mean Stan Bowman is is going to be a he's going to need to be a
surgeon not just a capologist to figure out this one and and that's that's down the road that's not
even talk about the issues that we've already addressed
and what they're facing immediately to start the season.
Yeah, no first this year, but you just trade the next one.
I suppose, I don't know.
I guess.
What else?
Well,
I don't like too much oil.
Yeah,
I don't either.
I'm actually interested out east there with Ottawa,
Buffalo and Detroit,
those teams that year after year,
you keep hearing,
oh,
we're going to finally get through,
we're going to crack through,
we're going to get playoffs.
I mean,
Buffalo's 13 or 14 years without,
it's,
who has improved the most there?
who's got the best chance.
I mean, Ottawa for me, and look, getting Linus Allmark first via trade at the draft,
I mean, that was business well done by Steve Steyos.
And then most recently, of course, this week's extension and getting them locked in for five years,
including this year on the old contract, those goal is just they shouldn't be available.
In this case, he was available because Boston really didn't have a choice.
And there was Ottawa to lay out the process.
perfect plan. And I don't think that maybe hockey fans can appreciate what this means.
Any general manager can make a trade as long as you've got the assets and you can make the
finances of a deal work. But there was a gamble, a significant one in this, obviously, because
Linus Allmark is going into the final year of his contract. But Stales and management knew
if they could just get in the ear of Linus Allmark and show him what their plan is for the future
in terms of the hockey club.
And then more importantly, how good a community,
Ottawa is for his young family,
then they've got a chance of forgetting about the goaltending most.
And man, did they look after that business in a short period of time?
And then they did what they needed to do a year or two years ago.
And that was get Brady some help, right?
A young leader, Thomas Shabbat, some help.
A young leader bring in cousins and Jensen and David Perron
And before that, it's Claude Drew.
I, you know, there's still going to be some growing pains in Ottawa.
You know, I'm not painting the, the purest of rosy pictures.
But as cliche as it is to say they're in the mix,
I think it would be a disappointment if they didn't knock somebody out in the east.
I think Ottawa is most definitely ahead of Buffalo.
And I could be easily convinced that they're ahead of the Detroit Red Wings right now as well.
Yeah.
And it's that top four in the Atlantic that are so tough.
I think we all see Washington's as a fraud.
playoff team last year. The gold difference was good.
But that was kind of the jersey slot in my mind.
Everything went wrong in Jersey and everything went right
for Washington. So who are they going to
take out? That'll be interesting to follow.
And I'm
with you on Ottawa. Like they just had really,
really, really, really subpar net mining
and all those young, great kids
are another year older. Like, he stood still
90 points two years ago. He's not in decline.
Like he'll bounce back from this year.
Like, I'm off my toes.
But we're talking about a young talented
team. What do you see in out West? And we'll
to Calgary because I think if I look at the last six, seven years, if expectations are high on
this team, they didn't perform well. When people gave up on this team, they performed very well.
And last year, the only year where I don't know there was consensus on expectation. Coming out
of the Darrell thing, first year of Huska, there was very mixed bag. But generally speaking,
whatever you think of the flames, you've been wrong for the last seven, eight years if you're
trying to predict at the beginning of the year. Agreed. Yeah. Look, I think it's going to be a box of
chocolates for the Calgary Flames this year.
And I saw a clip that you guys ran yesterday or the day before, Pinder, where you were talking
about Anthony Manta.
And it wasn't just the Gordiala Hattrick and his response and everything that he did.
But imagine if he can throw a game like that at you every five games.
And you don't have to include the fight.
You just have to include the physicality, utilizing the size of the human being.
if he can resurrect his game,
then man, does that give Craig Conroy options?
Because that's a piece that you probably want to keep.
But given where the Calgary Flames are,
and we know that there's still some internal pressure there
to more embrace a renovation slash rebuild, if you will.
Well, you're getting quality assets
if you get closer to that March 7th trade deadline.
And Anthony Mantah is more of the player that we saw the other night
as opposed to the player that we've seen too much of
in the last handful of years.
So I use him as an example because that's just recency bias.
I haven't talked to every general manager about the Calgary Flames, but I've talked to
probably a half dozen or so, minimal.
And it sounds like they have the Calgary Flames regarded higher than most media people.
Their forward core is better.
That's the consensus that I get.
Yeah, you know, you want to put that big question mark beside the goaltending.
Vladar has been there long enough, but, you know,
Kenney, Kenny shoulder most of the load there.
Wolf, an up-and-comer, most like him down the road,
but is goaltending going to be a question back at all of that stuff?
There aren't many teams in the NHL that don't have legitimate questions,
but I think that Calgary is going to be better than most people expect.
I think they're going to keep it interesting this year.
What about Andre Kuzmenko?
We sort of didn't know a ton about this.
player because Rick Tocket didn't love him.
He had this out of the blue 27-year-old rookie season from the K
where he scores 39 goals.
How is this player available?
He comes over in the Lindholm deal as almost salary relief for the Canucks.
And then once he gets through a virus and a nagging injury,
he scored at almost a 40-goal pace in Calgary,
which was what he did his first year in the league.
So his non-talket NHO career, so he's a 40-goal guy.
I mean, this is an interesting decision too.
The other wrinkle, he'll be 30 on the first year of an extension.
They do want to bring them back beyond this year.
Yeah.
Well, automatically, when you look at the birth certificate, you're like, okay, well, we're not talking about a developing player here.
We're talking about a grown man.
We're talking about a guy who's got a pretty deep resume of playing pro hockey who was a very impactful player in the KHL.
But say what you want about all of that.
Unless you've proven yourself in the National Hockey League, it's just a completely different beast.
And players struggle when they come from your.
Europe or they come from the Continental Hockey League, especially in this case when he arrives
in Vancouver. And he was coveted. We know this. There were so many teams that were knocking on
the door of Dan Milstein. You know, oh, no, we like him. We like him. We like him. Well, look,
Packer Galvin, when he was with Pittsburgh Penguins, was all over Dan Mills,
Milstein about Kismako. And they chose Vancouver because of the opportunity. Well, it didn't work out
because he didn't fit the eye of Rick Talk as you presented here. But he's got nothing but
opportunity with Calgary. So it's, it's on Kismakka to prove that he is a legit top six
NHL player. I, I just don't think we've seen the complete package yet in what he can bring.
That doesn't mean it's a positive or a negative. I just, I don't think we've seen enough yet of
the sample size. It is weird because you see, oh, Jesus, it's his third year in the league.
Yeah. It's almost 30. Like, it's a really unusual spot. And I agree, you basically
a benched for two-thirds of a season.
Yeah.
We kind of know what he is, but
it's a really not a huge sample, right?
Wow.
The upside's great.
I think it's just an asset that Conroy is going to have.
I mean, can it go south?
Sure.
I expect he's going to get tons of playing time.
He's going to be a key on the power play.
Whether you want to keep him or not is almost irrelevant.
It's just going to be an asset that you sign or you trade.
Math is very manton.
And that's where I think that Conchon,
has put himself in a position.
I think the forwards are decent here.
I have big questions,
goaltending, who knows,
but there's no pressure.
I was talking to guys at the rink.
Kids are playing hockey.
All the fans are happy with how things are,
and now that they've had a good exhibition season,
they're going to buy tickets to go watch.
Like, it's not,
they realize it's not a fire sale.
It's going to be boring to be at the rink.
No,
they're going to compete,
whether they make the playoffs or not,
who knows.
Conroy has a bunch of assets that if he chooses to sell,
it's going to restock that shelf real nice.
Even beyond five folks you have for the next three years.
And Game of the Year, potentially first game.
I don't know if you stayed updrags.
It was wild.
I did.
4-1 shut it off.
I can't tell you how many buddies are like, yeah, I killed that after 20 minutes.
Flames are going to be brutal this year.
What happened?
Oh, my God.
They came back.
Oh, my God.
And I was one of those idiots that turned.
away because it's 4-1 start of the second period. I'm like,
all right, well, this one's in hand, flipped over, watching the Winnipeg Jets and the Edmonton.
And that was a, like, just a tire fire in Edmonton.
And, you know, it's like watching an accident, right?
So you're intrigued by, okay, well, what's coming next here?
Totally. Between the jets and the Oilers.
So I missed most of the comeback. And then I'm like, wait a minute.
This is a Thai hockey game.
Now, I had to, I literally dozed off.
And then again, an alert on my phone.
So I quickly turned the TV back on to see the Zarago, which was next level, by the way.
And now, again, as an insider, you know, you guys watch the game and you're looking at it and you're entertained by how things went.
And you're individually looking at, well, how did it come together?
And we're analyzing, okay, well, the goaltending in Vancouver wasn't good enough.
And the defensive structure couldn't withstand the push.
and all of that.
No, no, I'm looking at it,
and I'm conjuring up thought bubbles over Rick Tocke's head.
As this thing is coming off the rails in Adam Foote and Gonchar and go down the list
because they all collectively had a slow burn because the one thing that talk preaches,
all coaches preach structure.
But that's part of we just had the Kizmeco conversation.
You either adhere to the way that you have to play within a team game or you don't play.
That's just the way it works for the Rick talk and the Vancouver Canucks.
So it certainly elevated the angst around Thatcher Demko and when he might get back into the net.
It did that for sure.
Yeah, she loves is great in that series.
But I mean, small samples.
We said it yesterday.
The top hundred goalies in the world all have two weeks stretches where they look unconscious,
whether you're number one, two, or three, or your guy that came up from the A and earned yourself an NHL contract.
Where you at on Vancouver?
I think they had to sort of patchwork over some.
losses in the off season, but I really like Sprong.
I really like the fit with De Brusk there.
And Fort Worth and DeHarnay, given the size they really coveted when they lost it or
of.
Yeah, you nailed all the spots there.
You know, Dakota Joshua, I think we shouldn't overlook.
You know, he's coming off treatment for cancer.
Doesn't sound like he's that far away.
Kind of in line with Thatcher Demko.
Earlier this week, I was told both guys could be back as early as the next three to four weeks.
sometimes a player like that
who's just good in the room
great on the bench
add some spark to your lineup
can can kind of
be that blue guy that pulls it all together
now you know what you should get up the middle
in Vancouver
you know JT Miller
seems to be the head of the snake there
I'm with you I think that
DeBrosk was a nice ad
I'm also of the belief
and I think Jeff O'Neill said this earlier
maybe in our season preview on Monday
Elias Pedersen, he could be a heart trophy candidate if he ever pulled it all together.
You can see the tools there inside the toolbox.
But whether it's his own lack of confidence or whatever it is, this guy just, he hasn't
quite found that consistent wire.
But if he does, and they're counting that he will, I think the Vancouver Canucks can be
a real threat in the West.
Okay, so I wrote it down a couple weeks ago.
There are a huge list of star players that are a season away from free agency.
And we've seen more and more of this, but you're always like, yeah, yeah, but that guy's
going to resign.
No way Stampco's is leaving Tampa anyway.
They're going to get that line.
We're starting to see guys, maybe he will leave.
So Crosby got done.
Marner, we don't need to introduce you to that storyline.
It's probably like you've talked about for four months.
Ranting in.
Apparently things got harder.
after the dry-sidal deal. I'd understand that.
Eckblad, they'll get it done. Florida always does, but
that's there. Besser already.
The good start for a contract here. Marshan, we'd expect
to get done. Eilers is up. For Hagey gets done, Shea Theodore,
two helpers over, three helpers opening night. Sam Bennett,
his coming out to UFA season. And John Tavares,
we understand where he's at in his career. I would expect
hometown deals. But there's some intriguing names there.
Obviously, Marner's the hottest spot given the market and
you're at and and how public that that's been but all those other ones are intriguing yeah they're
definitely intriguing and and you're right there are varying layers here um you know rantman we expect to get
done but you know you almost have that human salary cap in in nate mckenon right he deserves every penny
well how does colorado consider giving meiko rattan and more than that and i'm not saying that's what he's
asking for but it's got to be damn close it's got to be up there and for anyone who's
doesn't watch the Colorado Avalanche closely. I mean, you can't be a hockey fan without
acknowledging and appreciating the level of player that Mika Raton is. He's up there,
Leon Dreisidl for me, you know, in terms of that sort of impact. So I can understand why he's
going to dig in, and he should dig it. He deserves whatever he's going to get from the Alps.
Sam Bennett, guys, is the most intriguing piece of all of this for me. And I think there's a couple
of ways to look at this. I don't know if you caught the Florida Boston game to start.
It was awesome. And he was right in the mix? Like, oh my God, was he in the mix? Like, on so many nights,
he is the straw that stirs the drink there. I wouldn't say he's underrated, certainly not by
Paul Maurice and the Florida Pathers, but maybe by and large, you know, maybe he's not the
headline that Ranton or Mariner is. But I can tell you that there's, there'll be 10 teams,
minimal and probably six of those ten are top Stanley Cup contending teams.
This guy slides into the open market.
He's getting paid.
And the Toronto Maple leaves Brad Trillivin, I think he'd move heaven and earth to get an
opportunity to sign this guy.
I really, I really do.
So and but to your point, Bender, and nobody, not enough people are talking about this,
in my opinion, general managers and clubs have, have gotten okay with being uncomfortable
with big league negotiations like this.
Because look, when you've got Austin Matthews,
you've got Connor McDavid, you've got Nathan McKinnon,
there's only so much cap that you can split up in the pie here.
And if that player isn't willing to take your maximum offer,
whatever that is,
then you have to be okay with cut and bait
and reinvesting those dollars.
And that's clearly what Tap Bay did.
Stank was one Stanley Cups that scored four.
40 times last year.
And that guy didn't know he was leaving until July 1st.
I mean, that is hardcore hockey decision making right there.
So I think the possibilities are going to be tremendous.
Well, hey, good catching up with you.
I'm excited about the season.
And, you know, Celebrini points.
Bernard has showed up very night.
Like, I know they're running the marketing campaign.
And I might just be the hook in my mouth.
But this is a really exciting time to watch this league.
There are so many amazing young players.
And never mind, you know, you've got this Oilers storyline, all the free agents, the incredible kids jumping in rookie.
I'm excited to see Mishkov tomorrow here.
It should be a fun one.
We're excited to be back with you for another year.
Yeah, all right, fellas.
Well, I appreciate that.
Yeah, you're right.
It's not always about the stars, right?
We've got some intriguing storylines across the board.
So let's see if all of the stuff that's keeping us interested at this point, a couple of games into the regular season is still a value 10 games in.
You know how things like to settle down in this league?
and that's probably what's going to happen.
Appreciate it, Dregs. We'll check in next week.
Okay, guys, happy Thanksgiving.
Yes, you too.
Amazing.
There's Darren Dregger on our insider hotline,
brought you by Crystal Waters,
whether you're a home builder,
looking for high volume, professional, mechanical subcontractors,
or a homeowner seeking installations,
replacements, repairs,
or even just maintenance.
I had the fellas from Crystal Waters over last week.
Taking a peek in the mechanical room.
This tape's getting a little loose here.
And like what they've done here.
We're going to watch this in a couple of years.
We'll see if that's still going to get to be.
that's how you avoid the big expensive disasters, right?
It's important to ensure your home safe and ready for winter,
like Crystal Waters inspect your plumbing and heating equipment
to ensure your home is ready and set for the cold months ahead.
Also, tell me your barn burner, and yeah, how about that?
Discounts and upgrades of up to $1,000 in value,
whether it's a water heater, air conditioning unit, or furnace,
it's good to be a Barney.
Damn right, it is.
Love that.
Thank you to Dregs and to Crystal Waters.
lot there.
Didn't even touch the Scherkerkin stuff.
There's a lot of teams I'm intrigued about.
I love these teams that sort of fly under the radar a bit.
No one talks.
I'm like, perfect.
Want to pick Jets?
Don't even say a word about us.
Yeah, we're playing.
Nobody knows we're here.
Dallas Stars, yes.
Everyone keep picking Evanston.
Just yes, talk about all the guys missing in color.
Yes.
You know, it's a fun, fun time of year.
I agree with him on Rantman, too.
I think he's so fun to watch.
And if you're right in his Asian, you're like, well, we're getting 14.
That's what Leon's getting.
Like I put those two in the same box.
One's a winner.
One's a center.
But they're...
What's McKinnonet?
I think 12.
Point...
He's almost 13.
I look to Jack.
Jack doesn't know.
13 in the court.
Anyway,
doesn't matter what I was thinking was.
Yeah.
What I was thinking was that Rainin is going to go to that spot and go with him.
Yeah.
And then McCarr's making like nine.
But then again, there's a lot of RFA years in there.
He's a free agent, like three summers.
I'd have been quick.
Just in time for the new ring, Grant.
12 6.
126. Okay.
So you make 100 grand more than
I'm sorry.
Flames,
great,
Gondroy,
wonderful ownership.
Thank you.
McCar.
Yeah.
Rantan.
Yeah.
Oh,
Nate McKinnon.
Yeah.
Well,
that is why we're saying,
like,
okay,
everyone's embraced the idea
of collecting draft picks.
You got a hit on these first.
Rantan wasn't first overall.
Wasn't around 10 or something like that.
And it's the Monahan draft from?
Correct.
Like,
oh my God.
And then,
you know,
I know the Nachushkin thing
isn't great right now.
That's a fine for free off waivers.
And then it's like,
oh,
yeah,
and you already have these mega studs.
McCar slides to you at like four.
Shoot,
we'll have to take him.
Steps into his first game
in the playoffs here in Calgary.
And you're like,
that's the best player on the ice.
That's a playing defense.
Oh,
whole fame.
Okay.
And,
yeah,
McKinnon,
like all world compete.
Not keen with the media,
but.
I love that too.
That's a good.
That's, to me, that's a perk.
That's a guy who's not, like, settled, right?
Like, he's not, he's not content with what he's done.
No, no, no, no.
He's like, get this media out of here.
For a reason.
We have to appease you.
Crazy.
We got a party I want to tell you about.
So our pals at origin, we told you, business is booming, apparently.
Because they just used to be Strathmore, which is great, because that's for the farmers
or the grow of barley.
You got the good tap room there.
Then they have the restaurant.
Well, now they've got a Calgary location.
Origin Calgary we told you about in the spring,
but we're going to do a grand opening.
Save the date.
Not tickets.
Don't line up, no cover.
Come on, drink some beer with us.
October 25, it's a Friday.
We're going to slide Barnburner back to noon.
Noon start.
Join us at the origin location in Northeast Calgary.
It's going to be a ton of fun.
I was texting with Sterling this morning.
The whole Hilton family,
excited about the get together.
Here's what we know for now
because we're going to continue to secure more.
This has all come together in the last week.
No noon until close.
No tickets.
Live barn burner on location.
If you want to come see the show, Friday, October 25,
we're going to start at noon.
Food available throughout the day.
Some smoked meats.
Sounds good. Beer specials.
I want to fill your growler. I'm sure they got a deal for you.
Armbrador Blunt, BBB.
Also, music games and prizes.
October 25 will continue.
continue to give you more details as we get closer to that date.
Dierkees show?
I think so.
I mean,
it feels like it should be.
Wouldn't it be rude if I went to a brewery and I didn't even...
I'm a giver.
We talked about it.
I want to share and celebrate your successes, Brewmaster.
Yes.
Show me what you got.
It's one a am, pender.
You got to leave.
I want to celebrate this piece of art, you bread.
Do we need to call security?
What do we do here?
Just tell me out of here.
But the show is at noon, so we'll be in good shape now.
Yes.
And it's a Friday.
So, you know, wear your white shirt, duck out of, line up your calendar with sales calls.
And let's go chat about the 7 and 0 flames together.
Yes, absolutely.
For sure they will be.
Yeah.
7 and 0, 6 and 1.
6.1.
6.1.4.4.
For Vesna.
Boy, they're going to get to couple first of the deadline, aren't they?
If you missed it right in the middle of the PIN report,
Kirkland up, it is Flyers tomorrow.
It is Oilers on Sunday.
And it's a team that I think everyone's excited to see at the dome.
Torts.
Torts.
Hoping that something happens to have him flip out.
Okay.
We have inbox to get to.
We've got our football picks.
Got Origin talked about it.
This is a busy day, hey?
I think we had to get boom out of here so we get some stuff done.
Am I crazy?
Seems that way.
Yeah.
Well, let's keep moving.
Let's get into the inbox.
Let's go to the inbox.
All right, we do it for great clips.
They are back with more than 4,400 salons throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Great Clips is the world's largest air salon brand and the official salon of the NHL.
It is your great clips inbox locally owned and operated seven days a week.
Oh, no, it's Monday to close Monday.
It's not a great clips.
And you can check out the ready next text alert.
When your wait time, it's 15 minutes.
They send you a note.
Oh, perfect.
Go grab a coffee and get in there.
Get that tightened up.
It's coming over the lip there a little.
We've got some work to do.
The line down, get the razor there.
Yeah.
Get her done.
Into the inbox where, Jack, tell us how people,
if they want to contribute to the Great Clips inbox,
how would they do?
What's the story here?
First, you can email at, what is it?
Great Clips inbox at Flames Nation.com.
send the email to there.
Boomer will get it, send it to me and Ryan,
or just put it in the chat.
Give me a hashtag, great clip,
something that I know to flag it down,
and we'll throw it up on the screen.
This is awkward.
We get a question for Dean right out of the gates.
I know Boomer has shared his get-ahead gravy
in past episodes.
Would Boomer be willing to share his recipe
for the get-ahead gravy again?
And if willing, his buns recipe?
I completely understand. It's a family secret.
Not willing to share. Thank you very much.
Love the show. That's from Ted.
Ted.
In Northwest County.
Boom is not giving you his bun recipe.
It just ain't going to happen.
The gravy he has released.
I think he stole from someone else anyways.
It's like hockey drills.
There's no new ones.
Everything's just stolen from somewhere else, right?
So there's a lot of that for hockey.
This is a better one. This is from Russ in the deer.
I dare I imagine.
I've been riding the Bill's Mafia roller coaster since the 90s,
my wife and I are going to see Bill's
Seahawks. Yes. At the end of the month. Yes.
This will be my first time in Seattle and
my first NFL game. Do you have any recommendations for food, drinks,
or sightseeing in Seattle? Never been to Seattle. I was there
June. It is awesome. Go to the
Pike Place Market in the morning, have a coffee, whatever. You got to do the touristy
stuff. But Seattle's pretty awesome. This time of year, I have not been.
You're going to want a layer or two. One of them should be water
repelling yes i might see you there i'm considering my having a trip to that seattle
if you get some nice weather and you're extremely hung over you want to kill some time go check
out the uh the locks seattle allard that's where lake washington and seattle
seattle seattle i don't know like there's lots of great food it's i don't think you're gonna miss
have a hell of time so wherever you're staying do the old uh look on the old internet's talk to your
concierge or whoever you're you're shacked up with it's hard to go wrong there yeah call
we had a great night went down to the wall
Worcester they want seafood.
Oh,
king crab.
I'd tell them,
we should all go.
Bill Strip.
It could be Bill's Mafia for a day,
can't you?
I mean,
for in Seattle,
on your dime,
yeah,
Rhett,
that's a,
I mean,
yes,
I'd contribute.
Let's do it.
Take Jack.
Do they play Steelers?
They play the AFC teams?
No,
not this year.
Okay,
we'll keep an eye on.
Maybe in the playoffs.
Hey,
guys,
this is from Jeremy.
Who do you think?
think will be the breakout rookie defenseman in the NHL this season.
Break.
He mentions Lane Hudson from Montreal.
Also,
Brent Clark,
who got a little taste last year with the Kings,
but it wasn't really room for him.
They'll have room now with Dowdy on IR.
Heard lots about that Hudson in,
in Montreal.
I'm going with Clark because there's been a lot of chat about him for a couple years now.
Hudson special.
I know,
even just,
I only saw one shift of them against the lease.
You're like,
oh my.
Yeah,
he was zipping around.
Maybe we're trying to do too much, but I'm seeing the skill here.
Once you figure out the right decisions, this guy's going to torch the game.
You said it to dregs that there's a lot of, like watching the game right now is exciting.
Because of kids like that, like they're stepping in doing like, what?
What are you trying?
How did you do that?
Yeah.
Like last night, Celebrini, just a spin around the backhand to the slot.
I never saw that once my whole career.
Yeah.
But our scores a lacrosse school in the preseason and just try.
it off. You're like, it really is
incredible, the skill level. And you see it with
your eldest kid's age group. Like, they're all
doing stuff that would be beyond. A lot of
times they're trying to do too much, but a lot of times
it's real fun to watch.
I'm going to see who else is in there for Calder
because I know a lot of the forwards get a lot
of buzz for that trophy. It's just hard to do it as a
defense because everyone's just so fixated on points. It was
a Barry Jackman did it once and
beyond that. That was old school.
And it was not the right year.
Fighting. Like, it was like,
it was not a rich crop that year for rookies either.
I'm going to see if I can find that on 365 here.
What was,
tell us about your rookie season.
Who is the Calder up there?
Do you remember?
The Calder was,
I think,
Jovanoski was part of it.
Okay.
So you were saying,
there was a Russian defenseman in San Jose.
Okay.
But he was like 25 or something.
It was a weird,
and was it Alfredson maybe?
Okay, Alfie.
Yeah,
I thought it was Alfie,
but I'll tell you what.
It was a different error,
even following the stuff, you didn't hear as much about it, right?
It wasn't in your face all the time.
Right.
Nowadays, it's like, oh, yeah, I'll just, I'll just hit the reel and watch the highlights of that game.
Even the NHO, I don't know if you've seen the app this year.
There's the scores in the box score and all that.
You can literally go to any game and it's just like Instagram real where you just press the button,
one highlight, press it next highlight.
And two minutes, you've ripped through every goal and hit in the game.
But like, this is unbelievable.
Yeah.
Like, you got to literally wait for the hockey news and you had like six-day old stats on a bus
your age. Yeah, reading the box scores. That's right. Oh, Wednesday, they have the whole
league stats in the paper. I mean, like, you know, every single player on every organization.
Wow. Now I can see what's going on. Today's like, yeah, that happened two minutes ago.
Yeah. Time to be alive, me. For kids. I'm how lucky they got a damn kids. My son.
The Flames won that game. What? Can I watch highlights? Yeah, buddy. He's just boom,
YouTube highlight. Oh, dad. You should have seen it.
I did.
I was watching.
You were the one that missed the game.
What do we got for questions in the chat, Jack?
You got two more.
We did have two more emails come through.
I don't know if I'm going to see.
All this fireman for you.
Yeah, okay.
Okay.
Great clips inbox.
Hashtag GCI.
I like that, Ken.
Who is the first flame Conroy will be looking to move?
I don't think he's looking to move.
I don't like the connotation there, Ken.
I really don't like it.
I like your tone.
The only defenseman
that is Anderson
and I don't think you want to have to move.
If all the forwards are
checking the boxes, you're going
to be in a competitive
mode for a while.
Yeah. Right? Like, it's not like
last year where you had five guys
that wanted out basically.
You're walking into the year going, these guys
aren't going to resign and they got one out.
So you had a list of guys
you were constantly talking
the other GMs boat.
Yeah, he entered that.
It was straight into the fire for,
welcome to the NHL.
You're a GM 7 UFAs.
You could go to July 1st, 2025,
without moving anyone right now.
Could.
And again,
you probably should or half,
but.
Conner's position on this has been made clear.
And we talked to insiders,
and they're saying this,
like he's not shopping anyone.
He understands if they're at a certain spot
in the standings by the deadline
that there's guys you don't want to turn into pumpkins.
You'd rather get assets for.
Yeah.
And he understands that if you really like you,
playing well you probably got to extend it before you get to that deadline but this is the go out and
play let's see what you have well that's just like take banta for example if you get nothing back
for him what's it done you gave up nothing yeah it's a free kick of the tires yeah like it's a dart
throw on a and look if even just that one game jams is like oh yeah okay okay okay he's invested he still has
that he still got that desire because he went chase to fight around for half period
and was running in there.
Like you're like, okay, if that big man wants to use his body,
go play like this.
Yes, we'll bring him in for the playoffs.
Snarky answer, Justin Kirkland is the guy he's looking to get rid of.
That would mean they're healthy and go back to the A.
Love you, Justin.
Welcome to town.
I would really like to get this Kirkland back to the A.
Rooney, by the way, placed an IR.
So that's 10 days retroactive to Thursday, if I'm correct.
So that keeps them out through next weekend.
They play Chicago Tuesday and Seattle Saturday.
That point removes back.
You got a four-game window.
Four games where you've got to plug that fourth-line center hole.
Another one, Jack, from the comments.
What do we got here?
One more from the comments, and we have one more email to get to you.
Good.
Rett, are you still growing the flow?
I can't answer that, Red.
Yes.
Okay.
I got to get trimmed up a little bit.
I got to clean up everything a little bit.
Mine's getting shorter.
Yours is getting longer.
I'm planning for Halloween.
Oh.
Tom Selleck?
can't tell you.
That's true.
I don't want to spoil the.
Yeah.
The three houses.
Planet for Halloween.
Pull a wagon full of booze by.
The haircut came up actually yesterday in the house.
And I was told that maybe just a little tightening would be good.
So.
I think we're living parallel lives.
So the wife and kids got home from Australia on Wednesday.
So for 36 hours, they're just in the spin cycle.
Yeah.
Kids walks into our room at 3 a.m.
two nights go. I'm ready for dinner. Like what I this is the middle of the night.
Turn those lights off. Be quiet. Don't wake anyone. Things, you know, starting to get on rhythm.
Everything is back to the mountain time zone. How you feeling? How are you good?
We need to talk about the mullet. I think it's time. It's run its course.
Which only emboldens me. She's spent 14 hours flying home going.
She's finally. Okay. I just got to get right. You get to fill the fridge. Get the kids to school.
Okay. Now we need to say.
talk about your mom.
I said, look, I'm open to anything.
I'm willing to barter.
There's no barter.
I think the barter works oppositely.
Cool. While you sleep in the basement tonight,
we'll see what kind of bartering leverage you have.
Last email. You want to read this?
Yeah, I got you. Another one for Rhett here.
Ret, favorite way to prepare ham.
Do you add anything to the water that goes in with the ham?
Favorite glaze?
Oof.
It's Thanksgiving weekend. A lot of people do.
A lot of ham.
That is from Jeremy.
You do have to,
this boy,
I'm trying to remember
because the shoveler's
grandma has a glaze
for the ham,
and my brain is not.
It's got to be a maple syrup in there.
It is so good.
Eat some nice mustards to go with.
I do like the mustard.
Get a Dijon, get a grainy one,
get the regular.
You never have too many mustard.
Yeah.
But yes,
you have to add a little bit.
It's a sugary,
he's sweet ginger ale, maple syrup.
I forget what it all is.
I'll find it and get back to you.
So that's a promise for next year.
We promise to forget to get back to you by next week.
That's it.
It's a great clip's inbox.
Thank you to Great Clips.

That's it. Well done, sir.
Good. Okay. We're plowing through the work.
We've got football picks to go.
You have a lot of notes.
I do. Well, look.
The boomcats are not here, so I'm doing his job and my job.
I'm sure he was doing the same one.
Oh, I'm doing too as well.
Yeah, whose job are you doing?
Yep.
Yep.
Oh, goody.
You want to tell us about, uh, no, let's go.
Okay, all right.
Is it time, Jack?
Is it time?
Let me do one thing first and then we'll get there.
Okay.
The hearing loss clinic locally owned and operated in here to help.
Remember Dino was hearing like Jack's phone playing the show the other day?

Oh my goodness. Look at this.
Jack, you've got to explain, so we got these
different colored comments.
You must have done this when I was gone.
on super chats.
Now, do we just use them when we want or what's the story?
Because I'm seeing Stu here is throwing some big time money around.
Stu's given us $20 here on the super chat.
And it's to go to get rid of the mullet.
The mullet removal fund, Stu.
You're teaming up on me.
Yeah, Stu, you're supposed to be in support.
Like, if I can't wear a mullet on this show where I'm an idiot talking about hockey,
like, where is my safe space if it isn't here, Stu?
So do we have to take the $20 now?
Does he only pay when I cut it?
No, I don't know if there's a refund button or how that works, but you're putting me in a tough spot, man.
Cut it up.
It's not that long anymore.
It's not.
Notice.
People don't see what it's like here.
There you.
That's what she wants.
Studies have shown that's not what she's wants.
Somebody's got to start.
Okay, Stu, we'll accept the mullet removal fund.
all right yeah it's not going to stay forever i looked like a bottle collector for two years
and we never got a fun for that what the hell guys that way you had my back here football picks
let's do it uh you tell me jack do we look at the standings do we get right to it it's for our

Use the code FN bonus when you sign up.
So whatever the sport, whatever the moment, it's never ordinary at Bet 365.
Yeah, like we had the NHL futures going.
You can pick the two finalists, which team's going to win.
66 to 1 if Dallas beats the range.
Like it's, they got it all there.
There's a lot of fun.
Jack, where are we at in the standings?
What can we tell people about our football picks this far this season?
Just pulling it up right now.
Yeah, because I know Booms been having a tough go.
I'm stunningly over 500.
And Rhett remains just picking the bills and being fine.
Look at this.
Jack.
Cheating is way to the fuck.
750 winning percentage.
Very good.
You and I had a tie last week, Rhett, which stinks.
Indy one more point.
We'd be nine and six.
That's tidy, but we'll take two games over.
And boom, six and nine.
He needed a road trip.
He's doing some scouting.
He's checking it at, uh,
Titans practice today.
See what he's going on there.
So let's get to it.
Jack, you're in first place. You can lead off.
What do you got for picks this weekend?
Let's get after it. I got the bucks going to New Orleans.
New Orleans got Spencer Rattler at quarterback.
His first NFL start three and a half on the road.
I like the bucks to cover.
They've been a very good team. Saints looked good the first two weeks.
They've been shit otherwise.
I really have. Moving to Buffalo at New York Jets.
Jets make a lot of changes.
Kind of an interesting game.
Bills lost two in a row.
They need to win bad.
I like them to cover here on the road in New York.
And then we're finally picking Pittsburgh.
You want to see the Jackometer go straight to freaking zero.
Lose to them.
Lose to Vegas and it will.
You know,
win bad as well.
I'm taking Pittsburgh at Vegas.
A. O'Connell starting for the Raiders.
Three points just doesn't seem like it.
I agree.
I heard that number and I almost switched my
picks, but I'm just going to let you be on that island there, and you can sweat that,
they better beat up on the Raiders.
If they don't, they're frauds, man.
If you look at who they beat, I don't know, like, Atlanta might be good.
Atlanta's looking better.
I mean, that was week one, so.
And her cousins, like that, like, the leg didn't look right.
I don't think the chargers are good.
Denver's no good.
Those are their wins.
Yeah, it's tough.
So you got to win here.
And three is not a big number.
I think that's a good call.
So there's Jack.
He's 10 and 5.
If you're taking anyone's picks, run with that guy.
He's hot.
Brett.
Am I, I, I'm Jack?
Pull them up.
We'll read them off for you here.
It's, uh, it's Thanksgiving weekend, fellas.
Do you know that?
Yeah, in Canada.
It's going to be a great weekend to sit on your couch and stuff your face.
Maybe saw some logs, embarrass yourself.
But what you do in Thanksgiving is you support your family and friends and you guys are like family for me.
So I'm going to support boomcat being away.
Yeah.
His bears taking on the jags.
I hate the jags.
Jags are boring.
One have points in a lot for.
Caleb Williams look better.
The defense has been really good.
Jacksonville, one win.
I have never.
You're a charges fan, right?
Kind of, yeah.
What do you mean, kind of?
I just mean it's been hard.
What's the penderometer with the charges?
Well, I said it at the beginning of the year.
It doesn't matter.
Don't interrupt me.
I don't care.
It's the Chargers.
The Broncos have actually done some things, but they're going to fall apart quickly.
Come on.
Chargers taking this one.
And of course, the bills on a Monday nighter in New York.
If I was there, it's the only way it'd be better.
better. They're going to give me my Thanksgiving celebration kickoff. Go bills go.
Bill's Jets will be fun because they're certainly better than the Jets, but there's always that new coach bump that you were wondering about.
I'm a little worried about that. I just feel like the bills have lost two in a row and it's time to get right.
It is and they're better. And now the play calling is changed two in New York.
Yeah. I can't see the bills losing three in a row. No. And that's not a big number.
If you want the redometer to yeah, seriously.
plummet. I've been very level-headed so far.
Chargers fan is, it's been tough because they rip your heart up moving from San Diego.
The Rams win in LA. The stadiums usually half filled with the other team's fans.
They've been crazy conservative coach to crazy risk-taking coach.
They finally got a coach I like. I like the GM, but they got a lot of mistakes they're trying
to clean up. I've just been avoiding them. I'm actually going to be on them this week.
My picks, I'm taking Denver plus three. Chargers can win this game.
But they're not putting up enough points to really blow anyone out.
And Denver actually has been good with Bow next to last two weeks.
They destroyed Vegas.
Who did they beat last week?
It was a big surprise.
They beat Tampa in Tampa.
And then they,
there you go.
And so,
yeah,
they're not a great team,
Denver,
but within a field goal,
that sounds like a divisional game between the Broncos
and this new era of Chargers football.
I'm also on the Colts again,
even though they got us that tie last week.
Titans aren't good boys,
are they?
Like,
We think Will Levis isn't going to screw this up somehow.
And I've loved Joe Flacco.
Keep him rolling, baby.
Keep Joe rolling.
Keep Joe in.
I also like the Bears.
That's not a big number to be at home.
They got the better defense.
And the Jags have just been really, really underwhelming.
Maybe it's tough sledding at times.
But look, they've won games where Caleb Williams has done nothing.
That defense is that good.
So those are my three.
See if I can stay above 500 this week.
I better eight, six and one.
And boom,
Bumcats, any picks?
He sent me a long paragraph text.
He said, it starts with,
here's my rationale for my picks.
I was going to do a video,
but security is a mess.
So I'll read through this.
He's going to take the Texans and Patriots over.
He didn't put the number,
but it looks like it's 37 and a half.
So he's going to take the over in that game.
Are we allowing overs?
No.
I disagree.
Like a line, like a spread,
it's essentially balancing it.
so you pick one side of the other.
It's not like picking a favorite on the money line.
I don't mind an over-under.
Plus, you took a money line week one.
You took the bills, remember?
You took an over-wret, did you not?
No, it was, he took the bill's money line, which is not allowed.
We gave him- They were dogs, though, so.
He's stressed insecurity.
He's trying to get out of the rut here.
He wants an over-under.
I'm letting it happen.
Okay, here's his rationale.
Let's go, Drake May.
No Nico Collins, but hopefully tank Dell can do something, anything.
Over 38 and a half?
37-and-half.
37-5.
that's a low number because it's the Patriots.
Okay.
Moving on, Broncos plus three versus chargers.
Sorry, Pender.
Herbert still has a wonky ankle and no receivers.
Broncos D is legit and getting points at home.
I'm with them.
Don't say sorry.
Finally, Brown's plus nine at Eagles.
Oh!
Underdogs of a touchdown or more are now 11 and 9 straight up,
16, 2 and 2 against the spread through five weeks.
Plug your nose and take the points.
Eagles are two and two and they're.
biggest margin of victory was by five of week one first the Packers.
Eagles coming off a buy.
They have AJ Brown and Devontah back.
And Deshawn Watson has some of the worst numbers through five weeks we've seen from
started quarterbacks and has said the easiest schedule in the NFL for past defenses.
Let that sink in.
He's horrible.
This could be rock bottom for Cleveland.
Hardly they could start their club.
And yeah, or maybe they just lose by eight and team covers.
That's great.
Could be both, I guess.
I also had a couple hockey picks.
I want to just quickly throw it at you.
I love the Jets on the puck line,
minus one and a half.
They're plus 105 against the hawks at home.
And Vegas is home to St. Louis.
He played last night in San Jose.
Last night.
Now they got a, they're in.
That's three in Vegas.
Three and four.
Three and four nights for St. Louis.
Third and four nights for St. Lou.
I'm not sure he gets a point tonight.
I got Vegas minus one and a half, the puck line at plus 125.
Lots of more of that.
All kinds of fun to be had.
We encourage you to do that responsibly.
Bet 365, use code FN bonus when you sign up.
So whatever the sport, whatever the moment, never ordinary at bet 365.
I think I might dance on a Mishkov point tomorrow.
And on the flame side, Zeri stay hot.
Be nice.
Santa stay hot.
Well, they're going to still have enthusiasm.
So yeah, there should there should still be some juice there.
Got to be excited too, McKenzie Weger on pace for 82 goals.
Oh, that's going to be unbelievable.
Up from 20 last year high already.
So that are football picks of the week.
Very good.
There is no bottom for the Browns.
They reinvent the bottom every week.
That's for Mr. Pope.
Thanks.
Kind of not wrong.
I mean, we had the stat.
Was it last week earlier this week?
More settled court cases than touchdowns
from John Austin since arriving in Cleveland?
Yeah, like the under on one settled court case or court cases at all.
Let's just play the under.
It's not have any of them.
Yeah, that's probably.
That guy just needs to.
go away. He really does. Go ahead. They're fighting
it because, what is it? 240 million the year?
Yeah, lots of money. It's like they're going to
think about that. That's a quarter of a billion dollars.
You may as well just set on fire.
God.
Like, Flacco was considerably better last year.
And we know James Winston
couldn't have looked historic
five-week bad ever in the NFL.
And that's against an easy schedule.
I still say this all the time.
One of the biggest sports
in the world. Yeah. All the money.
into scouting and development.
All of this huge front offices.
The amount of funds that go into analyzing
and making these things happen.
And then that.
Well, we got to get rid of Baker Mayfield.
He's no good.
I don't know what the segue is from settled court case guy
to be aroused, but we're going to try it here.
Get rid of that.
Optimize your sexual function.
That might help.
There's also medical therapies to optimize
your life in the bedroom and the bathroom.
and the bathroom.
You get not to go to the washroom
in the middle of the night,
like two, three, four.
Don't do that.
It's just,
you just got an area there.
Let's work on it.
To build the muscles.
Aroused, they'll help you.
Yes.
And you know what?
If you're helping that problem,
I'd be helping some other issues in there.
If you're popping the blue pill,
consider a non-medical approach via sure.
That works on muscle function,
breaks down scar tissue,
and reforms blood vessels in the penis.
No pain, no downtime,
and covered under extended health benefits.
you combine that with some pelvic floor physiotherapy.
The aroused team helps men with incontinence,
sexual performance, hip and lower back pain,
and assist the stabilization of the core to optimize mobility.

You'll see someone about it?
I usually go and have it looked at by a professional.
Yeah.
So if you've got some issues in a different area,
be aroused.ca.
rather than pretending it's not a thing.
Yeah, you can ignore it, but I don't know.
That's the move.
Yeah.

Okay.
Weekend plans.
What are you up to?
I got to go watch Clark Wilms son play.
Is he same age as one of years?
I don't know.
Okay.
So it's not a head-to-head.
Similar era.
But not the same league, not a head-to-head?
Not the same, no.
So I'm going to go watch that young boy play.
Probably get smashed with him tomorrow.
Sunday, going to go eat a big bird at Ders House.
The big donkeys coming home for a couple days.
Good.
Monday, it's couch time.
I know we allude to it all the time,
but have you told people what your eldest is doing and where he's playing this year?
Yeah, he's a medicine hat.
Who cares?
So he's a medicine hat.
So he's a little, first away from home experience?
You know what?
I'm going to actually bring this up.
Yeah.
Because hockey fans and hockey parents,
there was a young boy on the U-16 Junior Savers team.
that took a hit last weekend, and he's in bad shape.
And he's in the hospital in Syracuse,
and they're doing surgeries and all kinds of stuff.
It's spinal stuff, and it's, there's some feeling,
but they don't know the extent anyway.
We're sending him our best wishes,
and I believe there is a GoFundMe page.
I don't know what it is.
You'll have to Google it and find it.
If you find it, put it on social.
Yeah.
All the support you can give,
we're all one big family.
There's nothing scary than that
because we all play this game for one reason
because it's fun. And apparently it was
nothing. Really? It's
just a, yep, shitty
break. Jacko, what do you got this weekend?
I've got a steak
dinner at the keg tonight for everybody's
birthday. I'm getting to the age now where
birthdays we're going for like dinners
and steaks.
Yeah, we'll do some drinks. Yeah, we'll do
some drinks. I'll watch the
baseball game. That'll be good. Oh, yeah.
Dad's doyers tonight?
Yes.
Thanksgiving weekend.
Now wait now.
Can I ask you a question?
Yeah.
The keg.
Yeah.
Great food.
No what they're doing.
Are you doing a steak or the prime rip?
That's such a tough choice.
I struggle with it.
I use that baseball one every time.
I do.
I'm a big ribby guy, so I probably go with the ribbi.
But I might try the prime rip tonight.
I feel.
You're not going to go wrong.
Yeah.
It's a trick question.
Both is the right answer.
What side are we thinking, though?
We go with the bake, the garlic?
I said what side?
Twice bake.
Yeah, for me.
Twice.
Yeah, well done.
That's where they like mash it all up and then put it back in and cook it again.
Yeah.
Oh, man, that's good.
One of those big seizures.
Free plugs, apparently for the keg.
Thanks, guys.
Look, if you're running a keg or any restaurant,
you're too busy for this ad.
You're thinking how to get more customers,
keep orders flowing, new locations.
keeping customers coming back.
So really, you should be thinking about Square.
Because Square is restaurant technology.
It helps more than 400,000 restaurants do all those things and more.
So when you're thinking about your restaurant, think bigger and think square.
You can maximize sales by making it easy to process orders,
in-house with a kiosk or mobile point of sale for table-side orders,
and online ordering for takeout and delivery.
Here's a link for you.
Go to squareup.com slash CA, slash E.N,
slash campaign slash big in RST to see why Square is big in restaurants.
That's a heck of a URL.
But if you are, you know, ever purchasing anything in a restaurant,
you've seen Square around, you know they're great,
check it out.
If you've got a location or you're looking for more,
let Square help you out.
Place I get coffee hasn't reached on the street every day.
I'm not thinking about opening a restaurant.
Oh, no.
I got my hands on.
You've got two kids that could help out.
I'm assistant coaching again, excited.
Got afterburners.
You do this stupid show.
Jack and I got our Thursday football show.
It's Friday.
We did a show yesterday for Thursday.
Jack, tell a little retro how we did yesterday.
Yeah, we did get three for three on our picks.
Three props every week.
Bang, bang, man.
We're up two and a half units on the season.
And we hit the over on Charbonnet receiving yards,
Walker.
No, we didn't do the Walker.
Debo receiving yards.
Debo. Receiving yards.
Gino Smith under one and a half touchdowns.
Bit of a sweat at the end with Gino,
but he stayed under two.
The Niners D hasn't allowed two touchdowns all year.
It's not me coming up with this.
Yeah, it's our boy Tyson Cole.
Two passing touchdowns all year.
That's right. The Russian one's totally different.
Tyson's great.
He's just an absolute chemist.
He's in the lab cooking up.
He's on us all week.
So if you haven't checked that out,
it's on the Canada Sports Betting YouTube page
every Thursday live at two.

But yeah, we're months from a good freeze
in terms of getting nice ready.
Rhett does live on a lake.
There's crazier things have been done.
I test the water every day.
It's not frozen yet.
It's not frozen.
It's getting close to you're saying yesterday.
It's very crisp.
Hoffley chili.
