I think the only missed the playoffs by a couple points. Montreal, I think, got in and faced Washington around one. Yeah, they're young, they're talented, they're big, got a lot of Russians, and they're off to a decent start. Werencki had that monster year last year, garnered some Norris votes. Don't be fooled. This is not necessarily a bottom-dwelling bad team, as you might have assumed for much of their existence in this league.

Ended a four-game winning streak for them. They're seven and two in their last nine. They're tied with Tampa for a wild card in the east. Tampa's pulled up their socks too. Yes, they have. Yeah, which you'd expect they would. With all the talent there. Correct.

Well, I mean, the challenge with if you're not going to play them with ball,

which they've refused to do, and you're not going to play them with a Uyghur, which they've not done yet, is that you have someone that's either not that good or playing their offside. So Paholin is left, not ideal. So we're upgrading by bringing Jan Vak? I don't think Yon's a bad player. I think he's, I'd take him over Bean right now. Bean's been playing a lot for this team.

You got some big boys, but they're not terribly interested in shedding the mittens. Really tall guys that were not going to mess with that less tall, intimidating wise black boy. whatever. And you'd think we'd be onto it, because the last two Stanley Cup champions have been just a load of dirt. Yeah, 100%. They're out there. They're hard to find, but if you collect a bunch, you're going to be a nasty out in the playoffs. Florida's tell you that.

You know, those LA teams were bullies when Darrell won two and three years. Chicago team's had a lot of months. It's not, and I'm just talking about individual. I think, yes, for the teams, it would be great if you can find a whole bunch of them. But they are not out there, Dino. They're hard to find, sadly.

did it feel like a team that was ready to win at all costs and was desperate? No, they were really flat and awful in the first period. And it's like, you don't have that luxury. If you're the Edmonton Oilers, the Florida Panthers or the Dallas stars, your contender and you've got all this star power, yeah, you could probably take a period off and win. Can this group do it? No.

Thank the good Lord they didn't. The only game they won this year where they did that was when the Oilers gift-wrapped them two points. What is what they doing? And Philly giving up two points to the flames on a back-to-back. Philly's Calgary East. They're just mid. Not that good for like the last five. I lost.

A Philly demon. I watched some clips of that game. I don't know who from the flames had the puck in the offensive zone in Philly. And the demon went up to him and like, he touched him. So technically a hit. He finished this joke. There was no malicious intent. I can tell you that.

Got the tip on the Uyger point shot. Four goals, one back of team leader, Blake Coleman of five. Blake Goldman. I mean, this might be, this is one of those things where we talked about it a lot with Oli Yokinen. You know, good player, but maybe the team's not so good,

so you get a bunch of points. with maybe some reduced pressure and expectation and all of that, is this how Jonathan Huberdo comes to thrive as a flame? Well, it's kind of what I did last year. I think he's on pace for a similar total. Like seven and nine would sort of equate to around 60. So I don't know. Like this is the player he is now.

He's still got good offensive instincts. He's still not very hard. He still is bioproof and untradable with that contract. But he's not a bad player. He's not a bad player. He's just overpaid. Yeah. He's been noticeable.

Yeah. And to be fair, No one else in this team has that ceiling. There's the catch to it is that, yes, he's been noticeable partly because no one else is trying to take the torch from him, right? This is not a real battle to the top of the pyramid here. I feel like he's playing as he should. Like who's got a chance to have more points than him?

Nazim, and that's it? Yeah, yep. So, you know, it's a good start. You'd love him if he was healthy at the beginning of the year. you got clunked in that preseason game. You hit the helmet of the Vancouver network. Yeah, you're going to watch your head. To tear your head.

But yeah, I don't know. It doesn't feel like it's get on my shoulders, boys. Here's a five point night and we're going to win six in a row. Wolf looked good. Like that's better than a positive BS. Don't give us. Wolf did look good. What do you mean?

How many times do they zip it through the slot? That penalty kill is so hard to watch. No, I feel like that's the past you're trying to take away.

Yeah, the middle of the ice is what you want to take away. Keep it to the outside. Somehow you're passive and not really challenging the puck, but also allowing passes through the middle. You're not really forcing or pressuring the puck. But also. Wide open lanes through the slot area. It's a different approach. I don't know.

And suddenly their third game already against the Winnipeg Jets. That's probably the season series in its entirety, all done by mid-November. Is he? Did the one rest day? Because you come home and it's another flat team that comes in when Columbus. Chicago should be okay. Then you've got to go to bloody Minnesota. But the emotions will be high for that game tomorrow.
