cheers man
well done
that's good taste and beer
coffee was great today
the air with like no smoke
in the air today. We usually
have beers at about 9.40.
Yeah. At night
PM. It tastes better today. Real sweet.
Our pre-show beers are a little
taste here today.
Thank you, origin.
It's delicious. Yeah. Traffic.
Great work. Traffic was decent today.
Yeah. Kids were in a good mood.
At breakfast is delicious.
Yeah. Parked right outside. Right in front.
Jeez. Yeah. What a day. What a time.
Did you come from the west or the east?
I came from the west.
Really? Really?
It was good for the West.
Smooth sailing.
Yeah, smooth sailing.
It's like everything's kind of right in the world, you know?
Things are real.
I slept like an absolute baby last night.
Like someone knocked me out with the tack hammer.
Just out cold.
Yeah.
Like a weight had been lifted or something.
Whatever it was.
I don't know where the moon is, Rhett.
I know you're into that stuff.
Oh, yeah, the astrological symptoms.
Yeah.
Felt refreshed.
I go, wait, it happened.
You know what?
Another one, boys.
Here we are.
I was looking at you folks.
God, that's good.
Happy Euler Elimination Day to all of you and those who celebrate.
Cheers again.
Cheers again.
Cheers again.
You know what?
Cheers to you, Jack.
God love you.
Everybody.
Great work, Jack.
To the oilers fans, well.
I'm a bank oilers fan today.
I'm a fan of the audience.
I'm a fan of their performance.
Yeah, their accomplishments.
Once you pay Bouchard 13 million and bring back the same goalies that have been
awful two finals in a row, it'll be your next year.
Who knows?
who are we to judge the last year mac david he'll be motivated what do we know we know nothing keep cruising
yeah yeah i tell you though that marchand you made a really good point he has grown on me a lot in me
just such a just just just a great guy hell of a hockey player but man i look more importantly you
don't you just want to snuggle up to him you do yeah hug come here you i can see why he's licking
people in the face now i want to lick him in the face that's how happy i'm with him god he's a good
guy. Yeah. Didn't really care one way or the other about Sam Reinhart, but he had a decent
kind of digging on him today. Sammy was great. So so far in 2025, he won the goal, the faux
Olympics and got his second cup in a row and then also scored four goals in a game that won the cup.
Was it four? Was it four? Holy smokes, that's a lot of goals. Yeah, there was some, uh, empty nets and
such, but, uh, yeah, a lot of goals. I think, um, empty net ones count. Now, what did they give up to
get him. I think it was around what the oilers gave up to get Griffin
Reinhart like a first, second, big package.
He's still coming though.
They got the wrong Reiner. That's what it was.
The oilers should have been trying to get Sam, but they went to go Griffin.
Yeah, yeah.
It's full of it.
It can happen.
Look, I said, Jeff Finger Kurtzauer thing.
I mean, look, no GMs are perfect.
Unfairness, the flames had the wrong Reinhardt too.
That's right.
Well, Max at least play a little more than Griffith.
At a certain point, but, geez, is it four, Jack?
They got all the skitters.
Do they get four?
Four goals.
Yeah, they got a lot of skinner.
have they got the right one yet
well I'm wondering right now if there is
if there is a right one
anyway I mean whatever
figure skater or the goalie that doesn't play well
in the finals which one are we talking about
either way just clarifying
let's take a look
it's four hey what a day it is
great this is pretty early this is early
first period so not
what happens here because I haven't been following the series
much what's the where are we at and
What are the stakes here? This is game six. Okay. Oh dear.
That's him right. He is the good Ryanhart. Look at him. He's a pretty good right.
Jeez. There's no brothers better than him. Okay, wait a minute. Okay. Let's see.
Whiteboard. Shots are four to nothing. Oh, great start for the road team.
Up the wall. Oh, don't get it out. Okay. We're in great shape. What is that grenade? Oh, and what is
that effort? Oh, and look at a battle to get back. What game is it? It's the cups on the line.
It's in the building.
It's game six.
That's what you just told me.
The cup's in the building.
The cup is in the building.
They're giving it away potentially.
This was last night.
Yeah, you can see in the court.
It says, it's not like a final.
Oh, son of a gun.
God, that's a finish, though.
So, whoop.
See what I was sliding on his butt in?
Listen, I got to actually serious point here.
All right.
Pointed at the camera.
Kids, parents.
Kids parents.
Parents.
If your kid plays defense.
if you play defense, play the body.
Play the body.
You don't have to get the puck all the time.
How many times have we seen in this series,
the best hockey that's played every year,
Stanley Cup finals,
and how many times in this series alone
have we seen stupid defensemen?
You're giving us a bad name, by the way.
Go and poke checking, testing cakes.
Yeah, a lot of cake testing last night.
And score.
Oh, darn.
Oh, and if you just hit the guy.
So you don't like this saucer pass right here?
This is a Jay McKee special.
Into the feat?
That was a Jay McKee special over to Sweet Hands 4 with the sabers.
And then that's just, I'm not going to get hit.
Also, I'm not getting back.
Where is he going?
Bouchard.
Stop it.
That pass from Ekholm is awful.
But all Bouchard has to do is advance it.
And even if you,
under pressure you're not going to advance it he's shit scared to get hit here and then he doesn't
try to get back this is the problems that we talked about in the la series where you're like this
guy's terrible this is the examples of it it starts with at home but look at him i don't know so at home
comes back way earlier than was projected he clearly wasn't 100% right he's also approaching what
37 they needed a good at home and he wasn't 100 yeah he was
It was no, either wasn't a hundred or something.
I mean, the timetable they came out, and when he came back, did not match at all.
I'm sure he came back way or.
He was back way early.
Oh, fuck.
Oh, okay.
No, and then look, it's like, sorry, I swore.
Yeah.
It's okay.
To win a cup, you need a lot to go right.
Like, the Panthers has some guys playing through injuries, but they haven't, they didn't have a Zach Hyman eliminated in the, in a conference final.
Look, it's, they're pretty old.
Binder is trying to contain
He's just he's all, you know what?
Railroad the place.
We're like we're talking about just shut the two of us off and just all right, go.
And I'd be happy to listen.
I'm going to get out of like some notes.
We'll do that tomorrow.
Okay.
I don't want to react.
Because I was going to say we got to pace ourselves here.
Yeah.
Because Reinhardt on this play.
That's a bad pass.
And at Coleman.
You know what?
They're old and the Skinner and, uh, Peter Shirelli.
And we'll get there.
But I appreciate.
I appreciate the excitement.
So that was the first.
Coskin's going to get brought into this.
You know that.
So the thing about this series,
we talked,
I guess it was yesterday.
We talked about it that the Panthers
have been taking two nothing leads in the first period
in every single game.
All of them.
Yeah.
Did you remember our bets yesterday?
Yeah.
Yeah.
And this was game six.
Well,
it's won nothing.
But look,
there's under a minute left.
Okay.
So they're not going to get two in every first period.
I mean,
it's the biggest game of the year.
Where the fuck is Leo Swargin, Leon going?
Well, and McDavid is out there too.
Carter.
Looking for Hagey.
He can't believe it's, oh, I'm like, where's, where did dryside will go?
Not that it had anything to do on the goal.
Skinner might want to just block that one from midair.
They're in total shape.
Okay, and I can, I'm sorry.
Don't sorry.
But old Walman.
Karma got you, bud.
you want to be the big dog and you're a cool guy and you're going to fly by the bench and show off
you're not that good that's your buddy bushard there again number two is that bushed out there
bad started again jack because it's it there's a turnover it feels like here so that's bushard the
defense okay last minute of play you don't turn the puck over at the blue line keep go oh shoot
look at the hustle to get back right let's now he's back
He's at total control.
Is that, would you call that puck focus?
Like you see.
He's definitely looking at the puck, right?
Okay, yeah.
Keep going well.
Stop.
And parents, kids that are defensemen.
Kids that are defensemen.
There's no sense you getting out of the way
if the forward from the other team is not getting out of the way of screening your goal.
The idea is to keep that guy and yourself out.
out of the goalie's eyes.
Not, I'll just go stand in the corner by myself.
Go ahead, Jack.
Oh, darn.
Now I do think Skinner should stop that puck, but what's Bush doing?
He has no clue in his own.
No clue.
Unaware, unaware, kind of, oh.
Why?
Because this is the other thing.
You could, if you don't want to move the guy from the,
taking away your goalie's eyes, you know what else you can do?
Block the shot.
Yeah, you could block it.
Yeah, you could block it.
If you're right there, you could get in front of it.
You might just get in front of that muffin.
I don't want to get too macro, but like there's fascinating decisions ahead because he needs a contract.
Hang on, Ryan.
Oh, he's rides ready to just.
Not to get two.
It's two goals in.
We're at the end of the first period.
So there it is.
It's another two nothing lead in the first period.
What?
They did it again.
They just happened.
J. Rod.
They did it again.
yeah did it again so the next goal at two nothing is a big one can i ask a question yeah so now
you're going in in between periods yeah you're down to you're kind of like oh we're out shooting
a okay start maybe okay she did a good second period to could skin have you're talking me you're
you're gully and i'm chuck yeah could skinner have that why his body's
front.
The Ryan Hart was a breakaway.
You know,
our D coverage has been a little soft for sure.
I thought Bob made some big saves.
A little too much at our guy.
Should we leave him in?
What are we going to do?
Is he matching Bob safe or save,
or save our guy?
Do I leave him in?
You know what, Chuck?
I think we're fucked either way.
Is Ken Dryden here?
Is Dominic Hasheek in the building?
Where's Patrick?
Is anybody?
Are we still paying Mike Smith?
Can he get his ass down here?
Because I'm not sure it's going to matter.
Hey, Zeus himself could strap on the cohoes and it may not.
make a difference.
All right, Glenn.
They don't leave a minute.
Hey, boy, hey, we're right there.
Yeah, we're chasing again.
We're down to nothing again.
But hey, golly.
Yeah, okay, yeah.
Go get Cory Perry.
See if he can get some of those speeches again.
Connor can do the dig in one and then Corey can also do another one of his.
Yeah.
Chuck, I talked to pairs.
He said he's fucking done.
He said there's nothing left.
He's, uh, okay.
He's looking at his.
fifth loss in six years and he's really kind of sour right we got to go nuclear we need cane
to run around and make some things up maybe it's our last resort you got to go nuclear
vander guys no second period maybe we'll get a power play because that's what we have pin our hopes
to a lot of these times is when we get more players on the ice than the other team we're better
they are good at that um solid so let's hope we get a power play but the next goal is a big one two
nothing we make this thing two to one we're going to turn this sucker around go
Damn right.
We've done this before, fellas.
Out shooting them, boys.
We're right there.
Next goal is a big one.
Even strength here.
Oh, that's, what, oh.
Oh, dear.
Who, what did that,
oh, is he afraid of it?
And then what,
what's that song?
What, the muffin man?
Like, how do you,
do you know the muffin man?
The muffin man.
The muffin man.
Are you afraid of a muffin, man?
That should have been a save.
How much of this shift do you have?
Jack, is that it?
It's too bad because it was really something to watch Barkov just decide I'm going to have the puck for a minute in your zone.
Yeah.
And where's that rister come from?
Now, again, it is a rister because it must have had some serious heat on it.
But for Hage is known for Skinner couldn't handle it.
For Hsuan is known for scoring big.
Cool.
Oh, man.
This reminds me of the Brian Elliott Stain and the crease in Calgary, like on the wall, beyond the hatch.
I stop.
Look where he is.
What in the hell?
Zero screen.
Clear line of sight.
Muffin, man.
A muffin from outside the top of the circle.
It is.
It feels like it's a,
ah!
Oh, boy.
It's like if you're out of a campsite,
a bat coming lands in your hair.
That's how we react to the pot.
And look at Darnel.
Tie him up in front band.
They're doing a fine job.
I love the Oilers.
I go back on what I said two weeks ago.
I love the Oilers and all you fans.
This is great.
What is it?
Like that is.
Darnell has no idea where.
Where are you putting that puck?
Skin flute.
What are you doing here?
Where are you putting that puck?
That's hard to even blame Dernel because it's like, well.
Is this like when a major league pitcher like throws an ethos pitch?
Go back.
Go back.
Go back.
Go back.
Go back.
Go back.
Look how intense he is on his when the puck's in the fucking court.
Who's this?
The corner skin dog.
Watch.
He's down low.
I'm taking it away.
Look at me.
I'm up.
Oh!
When I was watching in real time, it was, I wasn't directly focused, but I saw it.
Oh, is this going to be a disallowed goal?
He's in the blue page.
And then you see the replay, it's like, nope, there's no.
There's no interference on any player on the ice, including nurse.
He's still out of position.
On Reinhart.
Now, in fairness, I mean, they're broken at this point.
Well, part of the reason they're broken at this point
is because Barcov just owned the puck and their zone for literally a minute.
It's just you can't have it.
You're not allowed to touch the buck.
Sorry, it's not yours.
It's mine.
Do you to own it in the corner, killing time.
And they're just happy to kill time.
They didn't even try to score.
When you put 97 and 29 together, it's like that's kind of Chuck's nuclear thing.
If they can shut down that line.
Boy, the other 60% of the game looks ugly because there's just no one else that has the ability to move.
Do you want to stay with the game or talk about some of the players?
Let's keep going.
We're not done the game.
Well, there's a good.
Let's keep going.
But now the goals are when there isn't a goalie and I think.
Well, you told me those are important.
They're still important.
Okay.
Those are big goals.
Huge.
It's the one that we learn about.
Yeah, like kings are paying attention.
Take notes here.
Look at, it's saved us two months of sleepless nights.
That's easy.
I didn't miss it.
Good. Oh, seven minutes.
That was aggressive.
Yeah. Would you have done it?
How to?
Not at seven. I think at five you do.
I mean, we're really.
You got to trust that your team is good enough.
If you get a, if you get a penalty shot, seven,
they had nothing going on.
They just had nothing.
But that's all the reason.
For the second game in a row, they had nothing going on.
I mean, they were better than they were at home,
which is an embarrassment at the Hippotank when they had 11
shots through 40 minutes, but still,
it didn't feel like they were going to be Bob on this night.
So if a hat trick goal isn't enough, there's another.
Oh, I see, that feels like a big one too, because that's four.
Yeah.
That's a big number.
Well, now it's five.
I mean for Sam himself.
I see a great night at the office.
So there's a lot of white shirts there, but, uh, hmm.
But they're broken.
They are broken.
They are broken.
They are broken because they got, they were broken.
That's exactly what happened.
It's the old bend, not break.
They got broke.
They broke.
They broke.
Broke back for sure.
It was a cup or bust year, so apologies on the bust of a season.
The thing about that first.
31st.
About the 4-0-0.
Is not only does that feel like seven minutes left, empty-knit or 4-0.
And it was a hat trick, so now it was going to take them an hour to clean all the hats and rats off the ice.
You know who wasn't going to take it?
Cain.
Vander Kane.
Leader of men,
Evander Kane.
Won't do it.
Noted popular teammate
and three prior stops.
Did he drive a fancy car
to the rink again?
Yeah,
did he get the Bentley jack?
Was he a Lombogging her?
It's a Ferrari?
What do you have today?
Maybe he had it to get out.
I love seeing bankrupt guys bounce back.
It's immediately spending it on luxury vehicles.
That's going to work out well for you.
I can see you've really changed your ways.
Jesus.
There's so much to enjoy.
5-1, the final.
I didn't see the goal against.
Yeah, well, and we don't have it.
Bob didn't either.
It doesn't matter.
Yeah, we don't, we don't have it because.
It doesn't really matter, no.
Focus on the important thing.
Did it not add another one?
Wasn't six one like the other game they played?
Which way do we want to, do you want to start talking about like the Panthers?
McLeod law.
Opening statements from a cloud bar as we kind of, you know,
we've been pretty cheeky.
And that'll end now.
because now the hard analysis.
Yeah, the professionals.
Unbiased analysis.
Take off the shades for these thoughts or no?
No, it's okay.
I have a big proponent of wearing shades inside.
Peter Klein,
McLeodlaw, personal injury guy.
He's a long-term disability insurance company,
giving you a bit of a run around.
Peter Klein's the guy.
They have the very best,
and they are here in our city.
We're very fortunate to have people like McLeodlaw,
living amongst us,
the greatest of what they do
and super proud and appreciative of the city that we live in and ready to help.
MacLeoddashlaw.com.
I'm not muddened for heat.
Oilers.
So, yes, the Panthers are great.
And that's the team.
And they are the measuring stick.
And they are a band of brothers.
And all the above, all the above, all the above.
And gal darn it, I wish I was in Florida at the elbow room partying with them.
And they're going to have a hell of a time.
and I love the mock.
I love the skill.
I love the goalie.
I like their defensemen.
They probably keep two of those free agents out of three.
Yeah, I don't know what for them.
Do what they're doing, Craig.
Marchand and Sam Bennett are the notable UFAs.
Tom Smyth winning, Sam Bennett.
Sam's in a great spot.
He can stay in the place where he's happiest or take a ton.
And I mean a ton of money to go somewhere else that might be pretty nice.
How do you leave it?
I was texting with a great caller from Bontan this morning.
It's one thing to say, but when you're making, now, you made millions.
Oh, so much.
God so much.
But no, but you can have it appreciated, like every two weeks when a lot of money goes into your account.
I just, when you're $8 million, $8.5, $9 million, $9.5.
That's a big swing.
We're talking about a lot of money.
But I just, you're going to the ATM.
There's always money in it.
You can buy whatever the hell you want.
You've got the nicest house.
you could have ever imagined owning.
The weather's pretty nice in the winter.
And then when it gets too hot,
you go back to the lake place
that you got back by your hometown.
But Muscoqas.
Yeah.
I just don't know how you would leave.
I actually wondered after he won the Conn Smyth
if he was more likely to leave.
Because I've been saying what you're saying now that
why would you ever leave?
There's no way.
We've had this chat regarding McDavid,
where it's like,
does the loss or the win make it more feasible
for a departure. I wanted the same with Sam.
Like if he's done it twice,
he's now the peak of the mountain with two cups
and a con smite, it's not like
he leaves Florida with any nagging
regrets. No.
I just, yeah, do you want
a new challenge and
I'm sure it will all come
down to money? I feel like a three-pita
a good challenge. Three p. It's a real good challenge.
The hard
part is that's
already three times in a row they've
been to the final. Yeah. Like that
That's a lot of freaking hot.
I did the math this morning because we talked about,
oh, you go back to back.
They played a lot of hockey.
And you could very easily make the case.
They were more dominant this playoff than the previous or the one prior.
They absolutely were.
They didn't lose a game in regulation in the Stanley Cup final.
Three years ago, 21 playoff games.
Last year, 24, this year 23.
So 103, 106, 105 regular season and playoff games combined.
3.14.
16 or sorry, 68
playoff games in the last three
post seasons.
Trying to do the math.
314-ish games over the last
three seasons.
They also had to go over Europe.
I think they were to Finland in one of those years.
And the oilers not far behind.
Like they're in the 300 and single digits.
I don't like honestly,
these are two very, very good teams
and we're taking some pot shots at the oilers
because they have the greatest player
watching our lives for a decade and they're sitting on zero.
But still,
I don't know that either the teams can get
back given how short
these off seasons are and there's
guys that are going to party for three days and then go into surgery
on both teams. But it happened last
year. Eckblad had surgery before the season
started this year. Matthew Kachuk
played 52 games.
I actually wonder if that's
better. I don't think Kachuk was at full speed
all the way through.
He was playing with a torn abductor and
a hernia on the same side. It's good that
he laced him up for that final
against Canada. But anyway, like
I wonder if it
helped Marcia and didn't play a lot down the stretch, right?
Like he was injured at the time of the train.
People were very worried about how Florida was playing from four nations of playoffs.
They didn't have any concern.
They knew exactly what laid ahead.
They didn't care if they were the one, two, three or a wild card.
We're a playoff team.
That literally might be their strategy.
And the Oilers weren't very different either.
Like they didn't put a ton of stock in their regular season.
The moment it went to playoffs and, okay, a couple games in, now it starts to click.
They bring back Kane.
They bring back some other guys that were dinged up.
They have been fortunate, though, given the style that they play, that yes, Kachuk was injured, but was still able to play and was effective.
And I'm sure we're going to hear about all kinds of things.
Ryan Arnick had dinged up at the end of the Carolina series.
He was just coming around, yeah.
Yeah.
But the way they play, and obviously it helps when you have such a solid team game that guys are there to pick you up.
If you're having an off night, that was the one thing the Oilers just didn't have.
Once Hyman got injured, if it's not.
McDavid and if it's not McRyside like you said.
Just all of that, the offense you were getting,
not so much out of Perry,
because he was good the whole way,
but you were getting goals from.
Yeah, you had the Caponins and Arvidson and,
you know, Adam Henry, Connor Brown.
Like their depth, as I said early in the series,
was nowhere near Florida's.
And the depth that they had was very good rounds one, two, and three.
So I'm not saying they're not good players,
but when it came up to matching Florida's depth,
they couldn't do it.
But I don't know if,
you're Sam Bennett, just to kind of, we can put a bow on it and we'll talk more about it.
You've gone to three cup finals and you've won back to back and all of that.
You're looking at a very big picture in terms of time frame.
It's like, oh, boy, next year, we might have a tough, if Chuck's got to have surgery and this is.
Where else are you going?
Where else are you going to be happy?
And only he knows, we talk to Drager and Drager says, you know what, just, you know, between us, it's not come back to, it's not.
going to Toronto. Yeah. And so I've started to do the math on this because that's,
I think when you realize that the agents are doing the deals, money is a big component here.
It's not everything. You could send Sam to a very competitive team, maybe even in a tax-friendly
state and or whatever. And let's say a team offers them 10. Max term is what for Sam if you
signed somewhere else? Seven. So that's 70 million. The Florida Panthers, if they offer them eight,
which is two million less a year, can go eight years. And it's the difference between 64 and 70
million, I just think he stays now.
Because I think they can offer him eight.
And for Sam Bennett, six million bucks, 64 versus 70.
You're already-
Eight to compare, like, what's the, anyway?
I just mean, like, look, if Florida's trying to lowball the shit out of them,
and they're like Lundell, we like more than him long-term anyway, and we don't need
Sam around here, and we're going to sell high on the Sam stock.
I don't think they're doing that, but like, maybe they low-ball the crap, but it's six
and three-quarters.
Okay, you probably have to.
It's walking away from it, though.
It's not even selling it.
on the table.
But are those numbers you're talking about?
He just wanted to call on Smyth.
You're talking about six and three quarters.
That's a number we're talking about for Matt Coronado.
Yeah, so what I'm saying is I think a fair offer from the Panthers is eight.
I think on the open market he can get 10.
But why is it fair?
Because I'm just explained after max term.
I understand.
Yes, but you're doing the man to compare the two.
But what's he going to get on the free market?
More than 10 probably, yeah.
Well, then you can't use eight as the number.
Well, I'm not saying eight for the free market.
I'm saying eight for the Panthers.
I know, but if you factor in the taxes and the extra year, it's almost the same.
But every team that's in a good.
So they get a $2 million a.
A.AV bargain and that's the fair number.
Like, I know, I know what you're saying.
Which of my numbers am I off on?
What the Panthers are offering or what will get on?
I just say, I think you're off on your comparison because if 10, you just said it'll probably be more than 10.
So call it 10 and a half.
I'm, listen, is it 10 and a half?
they can offer him eight and he might say yes but i'm not saying that that's the fit that's the fair
deal not if someone else says 12 that's a massive hometown discount which is what everyone on florida's
making barcoff kachuk ryanhart for hagi all of them are on discount nine and a half hell yeah no no
okay not at the time so pass this not for what 12.8 a year later at the i'm not to we knew the
cap was growing past a two million dollar
per year kind of thing.
So again, that's, that's fair.
Here's what I think will happen.
The Panthers will offer something around eight.
And if he goes to markets, the other teams will offer something around 10.
I agree.
And so at the end of the day, when you do all the math on total dollars, it's only $6 million
difference if those numbers are accurate.
I think that's pretty non-consequential.
And if you're the Panthers, that's why you offer eight.
Because there's a value to staying with the place you're comfortable.
But it would be the lowest offer he probably would receive on July 1.
Oh, absolutely, yeah, because he's staying with a place that he's won two cups in a row where he just won a con.
Do you think Florida is going to come over the top in July 1?
No, I don't.
All I'm saying is that they're in a very good spot.
Yeah.
And, I mean, it was last week you were talking about how the tax situation makes no difference.
It's about winning.
I think this is a spot where they're a great spot.
Yeah.
If he was playing for the Arizona coyotes and they offered him, mate, I think he's leaving because they're not winning.
That's a good tax place.
The Florida Panthers are attractive because they're winning.
taxes have always been good in Florida.
The teams have been shit for more than half to understand.
So that's why I think they offer me.
I think you're underestimated in the open market
because we've talked about higher numbers than that even.
So the challenge for me with Sam is that
what do you expect in the regular season next year
if you say Utah or someone that's going to offer
open the checkbook for Sam?
I'm not making an argument for you.
It's like you think that we're trying to.
I'm just saying that it only works if it's within the realm.
And I don't know what the upside.
realm for Sam is I get the Panthers eight million dollar offer absolutely and I would not
that seems reasonable and you're in Florida and you're happy makes sense to us and maybe
but on July 1st when someone goes here's 12 who's like 10.2 10.8 11.1 8. Do you think he gets to 11.1
8? Do you think he gets to 11 anywhere? I'm the I don't know that's the question more
than I wonder it's what other teams that can go get a free agent that have caps
space and feel like he can do what he did for them what he was doing in Florida are you telling me
the Edmonton Oilers wouldn't like I mean they can't afford any I know they can't afford any of any team
right trying to think of a spot where you could go north of 10th you guys always say that stuff can't be
afforded but there's ways of making cap space I don't think he's going to have it to no I don't
um who would offer 11 that's what let's like let's think about it who's this like with the kings
I don't know.
Like they're pretty good down the middle.
They've got the no, they got byfield,
they got one more year, Copatar.
Utah, you want to splash?
The challenge for GMs, I think, with Sam
is that he's just an okay second line center
in the regular season.
And in the playoffs, he becomes this immortal god.
Well, and you know, at the end of the day,
those offers might not be there
just because it sure seems like
he's not interested in leaving from what you hear.
So are we going to bother
drive the market up or go through this whole process of interviewing,
wasting our time on July 1 when we can be going after other guys
when we know he's going to stay.
Well,
the PA would probably pressure him like,
get tough dollars.
I'm sure they would.
But he's like,
look, man,
I'm happy here.
I don't need to leave.
But if you're Utah,
while we're planning a flight,
we're going to go to Sam's house.
We're going to bring you.
But let's not joke about that either.
Like these fuckers,
no,
sorry.
Exactly.
They already had the Tampa Fest happen.
Oh,
so like,
this is not going to be secrets.
What's he want to leave Florida?
14.
Oh, okay, too high.
Right?
Like, which is why I bet we get, and there will be probably some big offers.
Toronto's got to try.
They have to try.
Wow.
But I just don't know.
If trackers reporting is on point, it's a waste of time anyway.
I don't know how many.
But that's just said, all this trying.
We're thinking it's waiting till this shit's already decided.
Like, I don't think Sam Bennett's, first of all, he's not waking up with anything.
Yeah, he's not doing business today.
Yeah.
Hasn't slept.
And on July 1st, he's not.
waking up not knowing exactly what's coming down the pipe.
I'd agree.
Right?
Like,
and you lose that eight year.
If he waits till July 1st, that's real nice of him, I guess.
I think you lose that eighth year once you get to July 1.
So even if you went back to Florida, it's seven.
Honestly, the only reason I brought this all up is I was of the mind he would leave.
And I just ran the numbers.
And I'm like, there's not much of a difference between 8 and 10 if he stays in Florida.
Factor in the taxes.
If it's 8 and 10.
Yeah.
And I think those numbers are reasonable.
It's hard to say.
does he sit there once the hangover's gone and be like well why why eight how about nine if everyone else is doing 10 i'm playing for you i just won the cons smite back to back cups why do i need to take rational thought put behind this for sure and the agents already done that they already know okay we've done the math a seven year deal in utah at this number means you net this and
And you're on this team where you slot in here.
There's no surprises here.
No, this is not.
It doesn't feel like it.
The curious one will be, what about Eckblad?
I would bring him back.
I think he was phenomenal.
I think he was good, but I worry about the term on that one.
Like, how old is he and what kind of production do you expect over the next six,
seven, eight, same as Bennett and Ryanhart.
28, 29.
I don't know.
They were on that draft.
He was a hard style.
I just think, yeah.
It's true. I don't know. I worry about his aging more for whatever reason.
I don't know. I don't think you can worry about that when you've won back-to-back
cup. I think when you're right and Seth Jones for what you did and you watched Montour walk
up the door and we're able to replace them, you're like, who's our best E? Forsling. Who's our second
best? Well, maybe it's Seth now. He led them in minutes. I think you're giving no credit.
I don't think Seth. I think he's a real good player. I don't think Seth Jones is better than
Eckblood. I think they're very comparable. Yeah, which is, which means the ad midseason changes
where they were from a year ago a lot.
Like, they didn't have a reasonable facsimile
for Eckblad before the season.
I think that appetite to keep this group together
and to continue to win
will be over the top.
They would have to do whatever they can
to keep Eckblad.
Who would you prioritize?
Because I think you're getting Marshand on way less than full term.
Eckblad had been at probably demand full term.
Marshan's down the line.
So you think Eckblad more important than M.Rshand?
Absolutely.
100%.
Yeah, absolutely.
Marshall had a great fit.
He's the guy.
He'd be like, look.
We love you.
And if you want to stay here, we'll give you this much.
There's a one year.
What's left.
Come have some fun.
Yeah.
And you probably get a two-year deal.
Someone will give them three.
Do you hear guys don't get four years somewhere?
I'm telling you.
I said it a month ago, I think Kenny Holland is cannot wait to write too much money.
But I don't think my Shan, like he was awesome.
Don't get me wrong.
And I think they clearly they loved them and he fit in and all that.
But he's.
way older, way older.
Yeah, he's what, six, seven years?
He was in the final.
He's 37 or 38 years old.
He's not prior to 30.
I think Epcglad is way more important than Marshall.
Agree. Yeah, and again, we don't know what's coming in the pipeline.
They don't have much in terms of the system.
Hence, you better keep back blood.
Yeah, or you're got to be ready to make another Seth Jones deal, which are expensive
deals to make.
You've run out of first rounders for the next three years or whatever.
You have no prospects left to turn.
They found a way.
I think you're kind of what Tampabay did, right?
It's so it's tapped it until they were too old.
Well, everybody does it.
It'll fall apart in Florida too.
Chicago was unbelievable.
They'll never be beach.
They got everything.
L.A fell apart.
All these things fall.
So you ride this till the wheels fall off.
The one thing about these guys at this age is that they're young enough to go
through another cycle.
Like Sid, like that's what he did.
They got real good.
The early go to Detroit, lose one, win one.
and then a decade later, they're back in the final.
Well, they got one more year left on Bob, maybe two?
Because that piece was a differentiator in this series.
Yes.
I think about the Oilers, and obviously, you know,
we're going to take some runs,
but who have they had since McDavid's been in the organization
that you can place next to Bob and be like,
we're okay here.
We can wash this matchup out.
They've put no stock in anything.
They've rushed to get goaltending,
and they've done his piss, poor, shitty job about it's, no.
Goaltending has never been.
above league average for me for us to say that's easy to do and they should have signed bobrowski
well there was yeah and that's not the case it's just that voodoo thing i i think florida's window
stays open as long as bob remains elite or they have another guy come in who pick up the rain it's
not vtec vatic vannichick yeah but right now um bob was top five basically across in terms of wins
goals against save percentage in the regular season leads the playoffs and expected
54 starts in the regular season.
Spencer Knight was the guy until they made the Jones trade.
But yeah, I mean, we'll just go wherever because we'll flip back and forth.
But for the Oilers, are they further away or are they closer?
Or is it the same?
Further.
They're older.
They're already an old team.
They're an old team in the place.
They're another year older.
In terms of their key guys, though.
Bob.
Yeah.
I do especially think that because I look at Echholm and how crucially he is and I'm like,
who's going to replace him?
Because he's now how old.
But I mean,
can you trust it?
It's the three guys.
It's Bouchard McDavid.
Can you trust Bouchard?
Do you trust Bouchard that he's going to help you win a cup?
Bouchard,
they have to make a big decision on because he could,
he could build the Arb case for $12 million bucks a year.
If Eric Carlson makes 11 and a half and that was signed four years ago and he's going to
Arb, he can ask for 12.
Drysides raise kicks in next season.
that's not even cooked in.
Like they are in major cap trouble.
You're not going to be able to find scrap heap guys like
Klemberg and Kappaninan doing what they did again.
That was found money.
You have to upgrade goaltending.
That's going to be expensive.
You were just telling me how great they were going to be for years to come.
Who?
You, the oilers.
You were like, get ready.
These guys are set for years to come.
Honestly, I feel like they unlock something in terms of stylistically and culturally
and just the poise that they had.
But it's an old roster.
It's a really shitty prospect.
system, their caps in a mess.
You can get younger.
I mean, you can shave cane, Perry, like, but where do you replace them?
You replacement free agency, which is guys that aren't young.
It doesn't have to be free agency.
Well, then how do you get younger?
You can make trades.
You can, you find, you find ways to do it.
You're going to have some older players, but, like, you can find free agents that aren't
37.
Yeah, they have to be 27 or Jack, find the free agent list that's not 37.
Like, right, like, it's going to be really changing them.
Cory Perry.
I want to hear your argument because I think you're completely.
drunk after one beer.
No, I'm not saying, I'm just, I think they're in trouble.
The way it looked, sorry, I asked you a question that I said.
Bushart is a lot of things.
He's also a guy that had 82 points in the regular season two years ago.
At a point of half a game in the playoffs two years in row, basically.
It's wild.
But you, yeah, you need to find some guys that can help him.
I still don't.
So do you, okay, Eric Carlson's a great example.
Eric Carlson in Ottawa almost led Ottawa to a Stanley Cup.
Like, he played that good.
Bouchard can't play that good.
And he costs you as many games in the Stanley Cup playoffs as he helped you win.
I would say that he's a very high event player,
but the highs outweigh the lows, but it's a fascinating.
It's not.
Can he evolve?
I don't think he has the style.
Yeah, I don't think he has the.
Like you look at the way he operates and it's his makeup that you're watching.
It's not like his decisions.
It seems like it is his body language.
It's his wiring.
It's not like going to a 16 year old and being like, hey,
if you tried holding a stick here?
Like, he is who he is.
And a lot of teams would value him at a huge number because when you have him on the ice,
you out chance, outscore, out shoot your opponents.
It's just that when the mistakes come,
there are five bellers that end up on highlight real.
So how he gets interpreted is going to be fascinating.
It's very comparable to Sam Bennett.
And it's very,
if you miscast a player on your team,
it screws up the whole slotting or whatever the hell you want to call it, right?
And this is the problem with Bouchard.
I don't think he's a 27 minute a night defenseman because he doesn't defend
and play it well enough in his own end.
Can he get you 82 points?
And is that absolutely 100% unique?
Yes.
Yes.
Appoint a game defenseman special.
but if he's making too much money
and chewing too much time,
I think he's miscast.
It's the same as Bennett.
What is he?
I don't know.
Is he the second line center in the regular season
or the best player in the playoffs?
It's a hard thing.
You can't miscast what Bouchard is.
And if he can,
the problem with the Bouchard is that he can go to Arb
and make the arguments
and the arguments can be backed up by his stats.
And they just say,
look,
he's better than Eric Carlson was when Eric's
signed it 11 and a half of year.
And what's Eric Carlson done to help win his
Stanley Cup. He hasn't since Ottawa
and San Jose got hurt that year, but since then
it's been rough. And so
they have 11.9 million
bucks that cap space, Dino, and it's
like, no, no, they'll just get younger. But
if Bouchard eats all
11.9 or 10 of the 11.9,
I don't understand how they
get this done because you're going to have to start buying out
nurse and buying out cane, and that just
puts more bad money on your books
and opens more holes for you to make 14 million.
He was making 3.9 million.
He's not going to take up another 10.
No, he's on for zero for next year.
He's not set for three in their cap.
What's he going to make?
10 to 12.
And they have 11.9 million in cap space.
And they need to upgrade goaltending.
They're not going to find a guy at League men like
Klinberg that can play top four minutes when they need it.
They have to find more offensive depth.
They traded a first for Adam Henrique.
I don't know that I saw in the final a year ago.
Frederick for a second.
I really criticize that.
And I think at the end of the day, when you,
it's easy now.
Well, just get better places there first.
But it really becomes easy to go.
That was a dumb trade because you didn't win.
Yes.
If you win everything good.
Everything was, doesn't matter.
Yeah.
But because you didn't win, you traded a bunch of, you've gotten old.
I don't think your farm system, whatever, your prospects are knocking on the door, ready to really take over.
Five, nine forward that's a good player in the A in Sevoi, and he's their top prospect.
he would be somewhere between 7 and 12 in the flames.
And I think when you watch this, there's a lot of holes.
Two weeks ago, you're watching some crubs through Dallas.
Jesus, this team's really good.
But there's a recency bias in watching them get not bubbled by a better team
and realizing as good as you might be, you're not going to beat that team.
I think they showed some real growth, though.
I agree.
I just, they got to the cup final, and we were applied.
the way they were winning.
They were winning lower scoring games
and that Vegas didn't Skinner have three shutouts.
Like they were fighting away.
They didn't panic when they got down.
To not.
They also, sorry,
can you rely on coming back from three gold deficits?
How many times?
Five times in the playoffs?
Can you rely on the LA Kings effing themselves?
Right?
Like, if you really want to analyze it
and if you're the GM,
probably they do this,
you go by,
okay, let's go through the playoffs.
We shouldn't have beat LA.
We really should.
If you're looking at it as a non-fan and non-partial,
and maybe I'm partial because I cheer against them,
but in reality, L.A. should have won that.
No, that said, they absolutely deserve to be Dallas and Vegas.
So they're actually mixed bag.
They got snobbled by Florida.
They almost got blown out three of the games.
They had a miraculous comeback to save one of them.
They didn't win a game in regulation.
They had one lead in the third period, the whole series.
It wasn't close.
Florida led for like 300 minutes or something.
something hilarious.
Anyway, and you're talking about growth, and I'm just going, I don't know.
Like, I don't know.
Both can be true, because I do think the team grew, but I do think the cap situation for next
year is much worse than what they had to do with this year.
Do you think coming back next year that there's always changes?
What are the changes?
How are you going to make the changes?
They weren't good enough.
Well, first off, it's just like Bushard decision.
What do you do?
Do you trade them for young pieces?
You can get younger that way.
Like, I think it.
And I'm looking at it here.
They're all going to be older.
Every guy is going to be one year older.
And there's not guys that are 23, 24 that are going to be better.
Those are the guys they didn't match offer sheets for.
Those guys were getting better.
Like on one hand, you ran into what could be a dynasty.
And that happens all of sports.
Ask some teams that had to play Brady or Gretzky in the 80s or the homes.
Like all of that is real.
So don't overreact about what you are or aren't potentially because of who you've been beaten by in seven and six games.
in back-to-back years.
At the same time, last year, it was a two-one game in game seven.
Yeah, you had to come back, win three in a row to get there.
This year, you felt further away.
And the two wins were in overtime, and it did feel in the last two games like they were done.
There's a gap here.
They were exaught.
And if Florida doesn't piss their pants and hangs on to one of those, it's only a five-game series.
And this year before, like, you can't take away from the fact that they won those games.
Okay.
Great.
Florida was in total control back-to-back years.
Most of the series, yeah.
Total control.
The only regulation wins the Oilers had.
Through the towel.
Once the Panthers got up 3-0 last year.
So this year, they beat Tampa in round one in five, Carolina in the semis in five, Edmonton and six.
It was Toronto in round two that had a two-nothing series.
lead. Nobody tested them more than
Toronto did. Crazy. But also
when it came to it, they
not bubbled Toronto. Those games where
they got beat. Yeah, they got beat.
So what you're looking at is, I do believe that they
made strides this year of the Oilers big time.
But they can't even afford to bring everyone
back. They have to cut from this group
that's getting older. They don't
have someone that's bubbling in the H.L.
To come up and help. I think they're goaltending.
They're further along the line of saying we can't
move forward with this group.
I can't decide what to make of Corey
Perry either got he's gained a lot of respect from me five out of the last six years Stanley
like like but I think again he's like okay he can do it for a short period of time in a
playoff scenario are you going to rely on him he's 40 he's yeah are you going to rely on him to
be with McDavid on the top line all year like next year so here's your free agents Perry 40
Skinner 33 Brown 31 Caputans 28
Frederick 27
like they're just
clingberg on the back end
is a 32 years old
and if you're John clenberg
that feel like spots where you if you sign these guys
you're literally signing guys to fill
hole I was going to say are there is there anyone there
that you have an appetite to bring back
clenberg will be too expensive I think what he showed
is that he's he can make more of the league minimum
and that takes them off their shopping list
they don't have the money for him
in my opinion I mean you give up a lot to get Frederick
you'd love to keep him.
He wasn't that good, though.
He was injured.
Yeah, I don't know if he was injured or if he's not that good,
but when you give up that much to get a guy,
you'd like kind of feel like.
And if you're Trent,
I don't know how much you're married to the city.
You've only been there two months.
It didn't exactly play a ton there.
Kappan's going to want more.
He was a waiver guy that showed some value.
Other teams will give him more than the Oilers will.
Connor Brown's, Connor's friend.
I don't know what else to tell you.
Like, he's 31.
It's been just okay.
He's made more money than he's earned.
Skinner.
You didn't want to use him in the playoffs, so you can't bring him back.
Perry at League minimum is probably only I can do here.
And then there's the next step.
You have both goalies signed for another year.
Stuart Skinner, 2.6 million.
Cal Pickard, another year at a million.
Nothing of that is terribly cumbersome.
So when you watch the final and you saw one team spending $11 million on goal 10 and the other
had 3.6?
It makes some more sense, doesn't it?
I don't know what options were there.
the deadline or down the stretch.
I know the quote Stanbo, are you going to be looking for
goaltending? Nope.
We're happy with our netminding.
So are we actually this morning. Thanks, Stan.
It's like if they go and get Gibson out of Anaheim or
if they jump ahead and try and get Wedgwood or somebody,
I don't know. Are they?
Wedgewood didn't do it for Colorado.
Same worse off better than what they would be.
It's impossible to know.
But I'll tell you, if that's the,
tandem that's coming back.
Where's the, yeah, where's the belief that.
I don't look at that lineup and the cap situation and Bouchard needed to be paid and go,
this is a better team next year.
And then mix in a short off season and some guys that are going to need.
I don't, I don't look at that lineup and go, this is going to, yeah,
their position to do better next year.
I think they're worse off.
They can't even afford to bring all their guys back to be that old.
I know I've said it, but that's what we do.
When we have to talk, we also threw the towel in on.
Oh, we did.
Yeah, I know.
It is recently because they looked so overmatched in back-to-back games here.
And it also is because those guys that are going to leave or that didn't step up in the big games.
If Casparry and Frederick make a difference and Adam Henrique answer back and Kane is actually contributing in the final.
Like in the second and third, even the first round for them to come back, it wasn't just McPherson.
David and Drys. I would think that that's growth, I guess, was that they didn't make the finals
just based on McDavid and Drysidal. Their depth, actually, that was criticized all year,
did show up and you're like, oh, shit, this is, but then they stopped. The clock struck
mid-lates on a lot of their scrap heap guys. John Clemberg was not good in the final.
Kaepinin, non-event. The Jeff Jackson guys hardly played in the final. Arvinson, Jeff Skinner,
Emerson, nothing from them. Adam.
Henry could not match what Anton Lundell gave the Panthers not even close.
You know, like all these guys are you're like, wow, they're so over their skis,
this is incredible.
What a cohesive team.
They all got exposed in the final.
Now, is that a bad two weeks?
Or is it just showing you we need to upgrade in these spots?
What did you say?
So I'm trying to think when Florida lost to Vegas how it looked.
Like I know Kachuk got snot bubbled and Vegas kind of manhandled them.
but I don't like I said a big physical deed I know I'm trying to think like last night the the the panthers look disheveled they didn't look like a team that was the oilers with panthers sorry the oilers thank you yeah the oilers look disheveled and they looked beat and they didn't look like that tight group that three weeks ago were like holy shit these guys are all on the same page they accepted their fate for sure they they kind of rolled over
and even the big guys who we've not talked about did F all.
And you give Florida all kinds of credit.
But guess what?
That's not how the game, that's,
that's not how you win championships.
How you want to win the championship?
You know how they win?
Is that Dryskeld scores four instead of Reinhardt.
That's how.
Right?
Like McDavid has to have a hat trick to win the championship.
And they didn't.
And I don't know why.
And I give, you give credit to Florida.
for being that good.
But three weeks ago, we're like, yeah, this,
this Edmund team's going to be hard to stop.
But their top guys didn't produce into big moments again.
And their depth turned into the real depth.
The clock struck.
It's tough to take last night's game because, like you said,
they rolled over.
They knew what was happening.
But dry sidle, 22 and a half minutes,
minus four, no shots.
McDavid, no shots.
minus four no points two shots bouchard minus four three shots i don't even put bouchard in there because
i don't think he's the driver i think mac david and dry sidel are but okay those two guys what did
they do in the game before yeah what about what they do in game five like i don't think it matters
and i'm just throwing it out there it's different for florida because they're so they're so
tight in game one no shek puts a puck over the glass in overtime costly penalty overtime
dry, settled down, won nothing.
There was never any thought of taking No Sheck out.
He's like, hey, guys make sure he doesn't eat breakfast or eat postgame meal alone.
Like get him inside.
In this series, a couple bad games for Klingberg, who had been great, did not have a good first couple games.
You're out, Stetcher's in.
Stetcher came in first period.
Benched.
Benched after whatever it was, eight minutes.
Okay, then you'll play another one.
Then you're back in.
Caputon, you've been great.
Now you're out, Arvids, and you're, Arvids.
Skinner, you're out, Pickard, you're in.
Was it overcoached, or did he have a choice but to play it that way?
I just think they're not as good as the other guys.
I don't think there's good.
And sometimes things go off in your head.
Yeah.
And probably by the time I try to get it all, I'll forget about it.
Edmonton is a group of players that was put together.
Ekblad, I mean, Bobrovsky's been there a long time.
Barcoff's been there a long time.
A lot of these guys were drafted.
Or, you know, if they weren't drafted,
they've been there a long time, being through.
Edmonton's bringing in guys.
And I guess the point I'm getting at is no one wants to be in Edmonton
other than to win.
And when it doesn't look like you're going to win,
you're happy to get out of there.
That's the truth.
It's true.
So all their secondary players are going,
well, not working out.
Whereas in Florida, they're like, fuck, this is great.
I want to stay.
And we've got a chance to win for a long time in the tax
situation is great. The tax situation for the guys making $2 million is a big deal.
Yeah. Like that's that's a big deal. Whereas in Edmonton, they're like, well, we're not going to win. So I'm out of here.
How many of those guys are die hard, want to be oilers? And again, if you win, it might change. But in Florida, every one of them. You're talking about the top guys going, yeah, I'll take away less to stay. Did Leon do that?
No one has taken less in Edmonton. Everyone keeps talking about going there to win. I'm like, who show me the Hawkins.
seven years
but that was still
he would have made more elsewhere
he would have okay that's one
and I'm not entirely sold
oh you don't need to be
he did so he did so that's one
right so they paid top of market for hyman
dry settle set a new highest salary
they're paying nurse nine in a quarter
to be a four or five like no one's on a deal
here like hyman's not crazy money no they just went top of market
so it was a good signing okay but so
who's taking less to come to emminton is what I ask
It's a good, no, and it's true.
Because people take less to go to Florida.
It's not making too much money.
It's just that no one else was going to pay him that much.
That's right.
And his numbers reflect that he went and played with McDavid and Drysidal.
And if he's playing somewhere else for five and a half, is he going to have,
if he's playing with Hubert, oh, is he have the same numbers?
I don't know.
I know.
And if Oilers win game seven a year ago and if they're, if they're back to back, I can go
to Edmonton.
Yeah, sure.
And play with Connor and Leon.
If I won three, Stanley Cups, I'd still be in the game.
and people think I was brilliant.
But you don't win.
Even like Connor Brown,
his buddy from junior comes over,
and he's coming off surgery.
And they're like,
oh,
one million dollar deal
with a $4 million signing bonus
if he hits 10 games.
Like,
that's not coming for less.
You're coming to play with your buddy
and you're getting more.
That was the bring Mason Raymond home to Calgary
without the hometown discount part.
Like it's,
and don't play in the player.
No,
none of this is on the player.
But this is part of the evaluation of things,
and it's easy for us to take pot shots,
but it's true.
There's no one in Edmonton playing in Edmonton.
You know who might be McDavid.
It's the only guy that's taking a discount so far.
And he's got to be going.
Why am I?
You know, as far as guys,
paid full.
Yeah.
As far as guys that I feel like they're,
they're oilers,
I feel like darnnell nurses.
He's being paid a ton.
But I still think he was drafted by that team.
I feel like he's an oiler.
I think that Brett Kulak's an oil.
I agree with that.
At home was brought in.
should have been a flame still.
I think Eckholm has been a good oiler.
I think there's some pride there to a lesser extent.
And then up front, yeah, I do think that for McDavid,
it's not just about I want to win.
It's I want this team to win.
I want to win here with this team that drafted me.
Everyone says we can't.
We're in northern Alberta, that whole thing.
I think that there's, there is, I don't know if it's 80, 20, 70, 30,
that he wants a cup, but I think he,
wants to show that he can win a cup for the Edmonton Oilers.
Or he might be waking up this morning and going, F that.
And yeah, like he's maybe had his fill now.
I don't know what more he could have given him in the sense that, like,
you've watched 10 years of really, really poor management.
Even just the offer sheet, something as simple as that.
Those are the guys they miss big time in the final.
July 1, you can pay this guy again.
July 1, they can extend them.
I think, let me know.
I cannot see a situation where he leaves.
I just don't.
I can see it.
I don't know that Conner's got the balls for it or the appetite for it.
Yeah, I don't think.
Because I don't think you can say, look at Edmonton,
we are the best position team in the league for the next nine years to win a cup.
You're not.
You're old.
You've got no prospects.
You haven't been able to recruit well there.
The GMs haven't been sharp enough.
You would have your buddies with the GM.
So you'd be in there and you'd be, and you should.
You're Connor McDade, the best player ever.
you had better present me a real clear game plan as to how we're getting back because this
I'm going to hold up the sheet of players and I'm going to this no Cory Perry at 41 can't be your
free agent signing I love Corey Perry and he's great but that's the guy riding shotgun sorry no I want
him back my goaltenders no no to me that's slap sticking all that he loves nurse I think they're
buddies but there's so many they're not elite a few of the guys are yeah like those individuals
leon is i know bouchard is but you know he's an eliteish defense man they're not even
but wow i don't know it's easy too i guess i mean Connor and leon are elite i know but
don't really i know connor leon and bouch are all guys that are incredible of what they do it's just
the surrounding cast is cheap guys guys paid too much it goes from elite to cast off
Real fast.
That's the thing is you would think,
Hey,
here's your building locks.
Any G,
I'd love to have it.
Okay,
but you can't just,
you can't just play those three guys.
You've got either salary committed
or some draft picks that have been spent
or used on guys that may or may not be ready.
Like, Hyman is still a good player.
Nugent Hopkins is still a good player.
He was injured,
whether it's a hand or a finger or whatever.
Kane has not,
he's a cast off.
Can you, I just, what do you do?
He's a cast off.
They don't want him on that squad.
It's a risky ad because he's not a good guy in the room.
You wore out as welcome to three different markets.
Three.
He's three for three in wearing out his teammates and he might be four for four after last night.
Awful in the final.
Selfish player.
I know.
I know.
I actually want to.
Well, you've got, like, Hyman is in for three more years.
And I don't know, like, okay.
Very good player.
33, still skates well, scores goals.
But started to go this way this year,
would you say?
Yeah,
he was,
it's almost 60 goals
last year.
You have to say
it's like comparatively.
Anyway,
I don't know.
It's not a shot at Hyman.
Kane,
you don't want.
Hopkins should do.
Hopkins is great.
Yeah.
At that price,
absolutely.
Arvetson?
That's a tough one.
Ooh.
Henrique.
You're just 32.
He's got four more years.
Henrique felt like a situation
where they're like,
shit,
we've been resigned this guy.
Gave up a first.
It didn't.
He had two years left on the bill.
We had,
we gave up a first.
first for him and Carrick and we better keep one of them at least.
Well, he's a center and he's a good guy.
So you don't need center.
They've got McDavid Drystone.
How old is he?
I don't get it.
Henrique's 35.
Yeah.
So he's not,
he's a cast off too.
I'm sorry.
Yanmark,
what's he?
I don't know.
It's a fourth line center.
Right?
I don't.
Two goals in a room.
Thomas Schack.
I don't even remember hearing his name.
Max Jones didn't hear his name.
Pod Colson.
Cast off.
Young, though.
I don't mind him.
No,
that's,
goals.
Well, I'm okay with that, but it's a cast off, Skinner cast off.
Yeah.
Well, that's what you're left with when it's, yeah, when, and look, they're not,
we talk about the Leafs and all of that.
Is it a blessing or a curse?
You have the two, the two best players maybe in the world.
You have to pay them accordingly.
And Leon's going to 14 million.
And Connor is got one year.
Do the math on the three top players.
14.
What's Connor going to play for?
20.
16 to 20.
And if Bouchard does go in that 9 to 12, 9 to 12, 10, because you said be,
dude, nurses make a 9 at a quarter.
That deal was said four years ago.
Arbitrators, not think he's given him.
I think he's getting 12.
There's no reason not to if he presents a good case.
And he does present a good case.
Yeah.
So if they don't, it's not hard as to Stalin is making 11.
So he's going to want.
And what was the cap when he signed?
And how many RFA is?
Because Carlson's 100 years old.
So we even call it 11.
So 11 and 14 is 25 and Conner's.
coming in at 17.
So 42.
If you had added one player from each of the last six draft classes onto this roster, it's fine.
And losing Holloway and Brobert, everyone glosses over.
Those are the depth guys that are getting better and are still cheap.
They bucked at $4 million for a top four defenseman.
They bucked at $2 million for a center that average a point per game from November on.
Those are the guys you need, not 34, 35, 36 year olds in decline off the scrap heap.
You want to talk about, you know, mistakes that were made.
I think even the most dyed in the wool oiler fan will tell you that not being prepared for an offer sheet or something of that nature.
Why are you signing Arvidsson and these.
Skinner Arvison and Emerson.
Keep your powder dry because you're going to have to pay guys.
And maybe you didn't see Broberg evolving at the rate that he did or Holloway or any of that.
But be in a position to pay them in case they do.
And you weren't even...
Both were high draft picks.
Hollow wasn't asked to be paid as a top two center.
He was asking for $2 million.
Like, go look with her paying Kaine.
Go look at how old these guys are.
Go look at Klinberg and his age.
And it's like, you know Brober,
you watched him in the semis and the finals
play top four minutes.
Top four defensemen don't cost $4 million.
They cost six.
What were you thinking?
So what can they do for...
In net?
And that's the other thing.
you can solve a lot of problems if you can go to a goaltender and you don't have a
gold center how old skinner he's he's coming up for is he coming i guess what i'm asking is do you
see enough he has to be a platoon mate he cannot be a one that's the thing about him
watching his post game again like he's such a nice guy love the he's so well spoken the guys
love him but it feels like do you have the you know that you got to be a i don't know like we
joke about Mike Smith, he's a red ass.
Patrick Waugh,
friggin, Dominic Cash, these guys,
it's like, don't fuck with me to a certain extent.
Not everybody, but a lot of the-
You're not scoring on me.
I am desperate to-
I just think he's a 15th to 25th to the league.
That's all I see.
I don't think the demeanor is the problem.
Like Mike Smith was the opposite.
He was so intense and you're like,
dude, chill the fuck out.
All I'm saying is I just watch after another
gut-wrenching loss.
And I can tell,
you're hurting by it, but I just don't.
It doesn't show in your game.
I don't know.
If sometimes you get caught in your own head when you're trying not to,
you want to play confident, but then you're not being desperate.
And then if you're too desperate, like you just said about Smith, where you're like,
I'm a red, well, you're overdoing it now.
You're trying to find a balance.
But you only have to do that when you're not that good.
Plus, when you're questioning yourself.
Well, and the other thing is, too, after every goal, he's,
doing the glance over to the bench.
Yes. That's what I mean. Is Pickard coming in again? Is Pickard
coming in? I don't think it.
And not like you blame Noblock for that.
Yeah. I don't think it matters. But I wonder if you just look, you're the goalie.
Stop the ball. Let in six. You're starting the next game. I don't give a shit.
Pickard is playing his starts. You're the guy. If because of his mental makeup and
if he just has that vote of confidence and can believe it. Because there's no way he's in
that net thinking i could allow a software to he was really good in the first period a few nights
ago and got yanked can i ask a question actually the lot three and should have let in five
like yeah it was zeroes until late in the period agreed yeah but let's okay i just think he's the
best stewart skinner he can be he's just not that good like he was never touted to be a number one
go ahead well he's only making two and a half for a reason number one so you don't have a number one
Jack Campbell's being paid to be your number one.
What I want to ask is, okay, you can be disappointed with the goal to know,
you can be disappointed with the depth of scoring.
You're going to be disappointed with your top guys because they didn't do enough.
Why were they flat?
Why do, how do you come out in each game and in the stand-up finals and you're down to two
and getting scored?
How are you, how do you go back?
And we said this about the Leafs, we railed it.
How are you going to a game seven and piss your pants?
How do you go, how do you come back from a three nothing deficit, win game four, and absolutely shit yourself.
And so at home?
So is it something mental for the Oilers or is exactly?
Is the gap just that clear that's not much better?
Does that speak of what do we give credit to the Panthers being?
They're tight.
They're a family.
They play.
They're, they, it's clear how they're going to perform.
Yeah.
What's wrong with you?
Like, I think there has to be more analysis.
people looking into that going, wait a minute,
how do we come back to home,
play at home in game five,
and we're not even in the game.
They got embarrassed on home icing games five.
11 shots and 40.
And you can only go.
And you can only give Florida so much credit.
Like, okay, yep, they're, well.
It just, if I had to guess,
it just felt like the realization
that we're probably not going to get past these guys again.
Wow, but we're not getting
Period.
One of games five when it's tied two two,
but when frustration sets in,
because they could not create
and they knew they probably had to win this game
because it's going back to Florida,
we could be effed.
But they couldn't show up with effort.
I know,
and you know,
I was just,
is it maturity well?
David and Dry Southern.
Certains team in the league.
Corey Perez,
but they're six five,
six times in total.
Six.
It's not.
they didn't show up for those games yeah leon dry settle turns 30 on october the 27th still of
of all the things we saw in certainly in the cup final there is the come from behind the oily
all of that that performance i said it i because i thought after edmonton one game four oh they're
going to win game five in edmondson they're going to come out of they're going to have to tie the
roof down because it's good they're going to blow it off because they usually come home and
and they just fly around and they're so good that they were so bad is one of the most stunning things, certainly in that series, maybe in the playoffs.
And I don't even, I'm sure there's examples.
They never had a lead at home.
But they just had nothing in a cup final game on home ice in a tied series.
Honestly, if you don't think that there is close to Florida, I don't even know how much you've chalked up to emotion on that.
they're just not good enough.
And that's where this gets tough with this roster because you're capped out to an extent and you're old.
But you weren't that close when you weren't that close.
But you can control your effort or this year.
And you can control your effort this year.
Another thing I wanted to point out was, remember when they were down in Florida?
And they practiced.
We were annoyed with the days in between.
Two days off.
They practiced both.
They practiced both.
And what do the Panthers do?
Nothing.
I have no idea if that's,
but that's coaching.
And to be to give them credit like they they won the next game one game four in dramatic fashion.
Doesn't matter if I just thought it was for game five and six and you can't show up and have any emotion.
And they sure did.
And they sure did.
And they're emotionally drained and tired because you keep going to the fucking rink for yeah, months on in.
They were sorry coming off the worst game of their playoffs for sure.
They got the doors blown off.
There's two days.
Do you want to sit in your hotel room and do nothing for two days?
Like let's just do something and stay away from crowds.
If you could go do anything.
You don't, it's Florida.
It's nice.
Like, there's some, you can, listen, I wasn't criticism.
It's, it's, we're very convenient seats to critique everything that happens after it's done.
And I wasn't saying this is stupid when they were doing it.
But now looking back, I'm also not in a room being able to gauge if guys are tired or not.
Do you need to skate?
How about we go do something different?
Freckin' rock climbing.
I don't know.
Let's go to that air park where you, the, the,
You're flying around.
Let's go play shuffle board or whatever.
You don't have to skate.
You don't have to skate.
Pink ball.
You guys like,
I love ping pong.
Do you?
Pindra's good at it.
Don't challenge them.
Left hand and I'll wax you.
Good shoulders.
You started out the conversation this way and I think it's important that we do keep this way.
It's like,
was this team good enough?
And are they further or closer way next year?
And I think it was clear they weren't good enough.
And so now the human brain says we've got to find reasons why
than are good enough.
Was it this?
Was it that?
Well,
they just weren't good enough.
Like,
Florida was a better team.
No one is left watching this series saying,
you know,
those officials,
they just screwed Evanton out of a,
like it's no,
they just,
Florida was the better team.
And now the question is,
when you go look at their cap and their age,
and who's coming up for contracts and who's got ARB
and what they have in their system,
how does Stan Bowman keep this team a contender?
I don't know.
And can you do it?
And how do you keep McDavid happy wanting to come back?
What is he can see it too?
What are you going to show them?
hey Stan, I'll be in your office.
I know we just lost two years in a row and we're upset and we'll go have a drink or two.
But I'll be back in a week.
Yeah.
And I want to hear the plan because.
And if you watch the post.
If not, you're going to have interviews every day next year wondering why I haven't re-signed.
And if you watched the post game, and I know a lot of people talked about it, last year after game seven, rightfully so, 2-1, McDavid was emotional.
like upset sad like crying like upset yeah last night he was just mad yep he was beat and he wasn't afraid
to make comments about the team i don't know what we need to do it's like yeah it's the definition
of insanity doing the same thing over and over again keep banging our head against the wall the same way
it wasn't working so yeah it's after you lose in the stanley cup final i always a bit of a green
assault there but i again i don't think he leaves but i can i can i can
certainly see why he would give it a long, hard look and have a lot of questions for people
around them. If you had them at 95% to resign a week ago, it's got to feel like it's lower than that
now. Like there's, there's been a seed of doubt planted over this series. We talk about a lot too,
though. Where do you, we're going to, we're going to go and pick a place to win. That's not easy to do,
but very rarely are you the best guy in the planet. No, but if you want to attract other players and
you are the exact what I think I'm saying, right, you're going to say, if you're the best player on
the planet and you go to New York City guess who else wants to come everyone yeah carolina
be a lot more attractive they had him blend there I got caps a series for days every team can use
because I I don't disagree with you but I want you to put your Connor McDavid hat on and go
why am I staying I can't do that objectively though I would no I know but you should you know
what it is it's because Leon's here yeah this and Leon's heart trophy nominee rocket
Richard.
He's his best buddy.
Art Ross.
They work out in the summer together.
He's my pal.
He's, if not the second best player in the world.
He's right there with it.
And unless maybe,
we all have very good friends.
Unless maybe he looks like,
I'm not sure.
I love Leon.
He's awesome.
Do I have other good friends that are playing in other places that are really nice?
And my agents telling me that I'm an idiot.
It's a good guy's not a four nations team you played with.
It's such
Got a pit.
This frigging game
Because at times you watch dry saddle
Like this guy is an absolute moose
There's no stopping him
He is going to take this team to the
Yeah,
Because he can be that dominant
And then other nights
You know like last night
He's falling down and he's frustrated
And he's kind of got the hang dog thing
Going on the bench like ooh
That's a bad body language dude
That's and everyone's hurt
So I'm sure there's that's a part of it
But he seems to do a lot of this
Why are you so pissy?
It's a lot of that.
There's a lot of moody German there.
So it turns 30 in October.
You imagine.
No, it's just like, is this window opening or closing?
If you're Connor McDavid and your agent and you're just looking at it objectively.
It might be neither.
It could be same.
Right.
I think they're a playoffs.
It certainly isn't opening.
It's not getting easier.
Are there any 25, 26 cup odds out yet?
Yes, there are.
I have them.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Jack, I sent those two, right?
You want them now?
No, we'll do it in the Pinner report.
I do it in the Pinter Report.
I do have to go to the Washington if you want to read some.
Both of us.
Both of you guys?
Beer.
Beards the morning.
Morning beers.
You go first, right?
I'm going to tell you about Bontan meets.
You're damn right.
You are.
I was, you know what?
Are you?
I was walking to the nine block walk to my parking because you can't park in
Marlup and ran into a guy's like, hey, you know, watch the show,
love you know this sort of thing you know what i heard you guys talk in the other day and i think he's
going to you know some hockey thing or whatever bontan meats is the best oh yeah it's really good he's
you know what i do gregg i know i know i know greg i know about so big and you know what
Greg does is he wraps it in fat.
He'll take like cut on chunks of fat.
I ran into this guy too.
Exactly.
He's like, I was talking around.
He's a big food guy.
Yeah.
So Greg will take this roast and he'll take chunks of fat and then take the butcher
twine or the string and kind of tie it up.
So then you put it on the rotissary.
Yes.
And it's just, ooh.
I was not expecting to have this conversation with a fan on the street or whatever.
But he was not wrong.
And I'm doing that this weekend.
And I forget what else he was talking.
Have you had there?
And I forget, I was like, oh, man.
I mean, you got you, there's why, I don't know, you can't go anywhere else.
I don't meet so expensive other places.
I just don't.
Why would you?
Don't.
Yeah.
No, I agree.
Dumb.
And his buddy Benny.
Crush it.
His buddy Benny won the Konsmite trophy.
So maybe if you go up for, I don't know, I don't want to throw it as, go get a link, links of sausage.
Maybe you get a nice stretch thrown in today.
Maybe it's a great day at Bonnoy.
Tom, good day to stop by.
Only 24 consecutive years as Calgary and Southern Alberta's
Consumers Choice Award winner for Best Meat and Delhi,
28 Crowfoot Circle in the Northwest.
It's AAA Alberta beef.
It's just, it's premium.
It's the best.
He has, he's got that place just humming.
He's got his lot of butcher shop.
Here's where the butcher shop should look like.
The beef comes in and it's this type of beef and it's this type of pork and this chicken.
And it's all.
there's no experimentation going on.
They're trying new things.
I told you about the bone broth.
They're always kind of doing stuff.
But if you want the best,
didn't you say about Alberta beef?
Oh, so good.
So good.
Over 20 varieties of in-store made salads,
delicious desserts,
and of course, in-store-made meat pies.
Greg's the best, generous guy,
gives back to the community
and just happens to have the best product
going in the city and maybe anywhere you're going to
find because I agree. Premium AAA
Alberta beef. You're not beating
it. So go in, see Greg.
Give him a high five for Benny,
his buddy, Conn Smyth. What if
Benny knows? The love affair?
Yeah. Yeah.
The back in Calgary. It's probably
a lifetime supply of delicious meat
if he knew. Oh, if he ever.
I mean, maybe that's the only way
you can lure Sam out of Florida is just
that gold card at
Bonton.
you never know or the white sands of florida beaches i don't
greg is very he's very giving he's conducive he's a very given guy 28 crowfoot circle we are in heavy
outdoor grilling barbecuing smoking yeah whatever your skillet it's grilling season
smash burgers on the skillet bontan meats jack did you have a bet pay off last night
yes i did because after game five you just this thing
over. He said it's not going back to the hippo tank.
This is not going back to the hippo tank.
No chance.
And someone within our, you know,
we're the Wolverine, partnered up with a bunch of oil or honks and stuff.
It's like, oh, I'll take that action, Jackie boy.
And you took that action, Jackie boy. So congrats.
Thank you. And I'm going to take that money.
And we're going to have a pizza party.
Oh, yes.
I like the Jack sent his email for the e-transfer partway through the game last night.
Before the game even started.
I'm just like, I here it is, Jared, just so you know,
because they're not going back to the hippo tank.
It just felt like we kind of turned a corner in here.
It's like nothing we do is going to affect the outcome of this series.
There's no jinxing this thing.
You've come a long way in that department.
I recall in round three, you were keen on wearing certain clothing.
That game for whatever it was,
I just, there was no way the Oilers were going to lose that game.
And they got blown out.
You have been.
Game five.
Never in my career have I seen you so convinced something was going to occur and so sure that you knew how it was going to play out.
You even referenced how much sports you watch in your life.
You know, so some nights where, you know, mama goes out for drinks with the girls and you're like, oh, yeah, going to go have a shower, be ready.
Oh, shit, no.
I'm sure.
Yeah, but taught.
No.
What?
Sometimes you get thrown a loop.
Yeah.
I got thrown a loop there.
Damn right.
You were not alone feeling that way.
I'll say that.
But man, I enjoyed last night.
It was good.
I watched every play.
I just, I hope that the, the, the people that wear that's the orange crush and the wrestlers.
We're in it today.
Scrappers.
No, I just hope that there's some self-reflection because it's not just that other people didn't want your team to win.
It was your actions that actually made most of us cringe and want to kind of burpuk.
And how you're smarmy and smart.
assy and arrogant and we're all like it's almost as much a show an enjoyment that the fans
feel bad today is it like David wins I can respect David what a player great player
but the fans and the way you conducted yourselves shame on you and good for you way to go
way to go it's like I like a lot of teams or a lot of things
But it's when that venom comes out, it's like, well, I hate that more than I love a lot of things.
There's an arrogance that grew through the Vegas and Dallas series.
And then especially after game one, it was hard to ignore, even after the game four comeback victory.
Not even just arrogance, the stupidity and the grossness and they're fighting each other and dressing.
I'm seven hours of painting myself.
Well, you're, there was something about, and this is not, maybe it is.
I don't know.
For the second straight year to watch SportsNets coverage
and to see those three donkeys sitting in a trailer outside the rink
where no game was played.
Like Ken Ivanka and Gazdick are in Edmonton at the froth pit
sitting outside the arena where there was no game.
Why are you there?
What are you guys?
Like what is this in case it goes back for a set?
Like, why are you there to watch the fight?
You guys
You guys know the game was in Florida, right?
Did you have a schedule before the series came out?
But where?
You got another one of those you can park down there.
Shit.
Is it not here?
I've done that.
When's the Knoblock pregame?
Well, I'm in Edmonton.
And I think Nobloc's in Florida.
Why is he in Florida?
What the hell is he?
Well,
As it turns out, that's where game six is being played.
It's awfully quiet around.
I wouldn't have thought Edmonton would be more wound.
Wait a second.
Well, then why are you in Edmonton?
I don't know.
Yeah, I don't know.
We're bringing it home, I guess.
I guess.
AI.
So as they sit there in their live truck with crickets and tumbleweeds in the background.
The silver lady dressed up as the cup.
Yeah.
Oh, I feel for her to.
Yeah.
Yeah, really.
I didn't see her fight a single person.
than the whole playoffs.
She's one of the good ones.
She's stepped up her game.
This is Chauden Freud.
It's taking a lot of pleasure and other misfortune.
Yes, but they would, it would be shared the other way.
Trust me.
It would be shared the other way.
It would be.
And you can't only cheer for one team, Dean.
You don't want to be.
You don't want to bounce around.
Oh, that's a bandwagon fan.
That's a bandwagon fan.
You can't do it.
Can't do that.
Yeah, when you wear one team, those colors don't run.
We had a great.
night last night in many different ways
there was obviously this
game that took place in Florida
not at the Mosspit not up there
but we also
had a special event
a it's a big night over at village
Honda
Honda take a look
see it's like a seafood type of a deal
what do you think that is some
calamari or something
spicy lobster
spicy lobster
Village Honda. Settled down. You're a big car guy. I know. Nothing makes you happier than getting under the hood and, you know, puttering away on a...
I don't have driving them on an engine, but I don't really know much more. Most have four wheels, but I was...
What do you think is under that? What do you think we're looking at over there?
Duly?
No, I've been a hole.
Honestly, I'm not the guy. It's going to be lovely. I don't know anything about cars. You know what? It might be a dole.
I don't think you want the tire.
That leads me to believe it's not a doing.
Maybe it's a motorcycle.
I do the talking into a microphone.
There's a thing of the sheet.
Yes.
The fomp of the sheet.
The fulping.
Who's doing the fom?
This guy with the beard, number one best sheet pole.
Are you doing the fom?
Look at this guy.
Number one.
Okay, one more time.
Let's give us the form.
Bend your knees.
Yes.
Yes.
Fantastic.
Number one best.
I'm not convinced this is the right guy.
I don't know that I should be there.
I can't pull a shape? Yes, what? Okay, I'm pulling it. Don't? I get this side or that side?
Do that side? Well done. They screwed up or we're good? You did great. You did it great,
so pretty. Hey Ryan, you're a ridgeline driver. Why don't you tell Anthony here about the
the rear suspension? So the outside of the car is white, but then the engine parts aren't
white. Okay. It's under the hood and the tires are black and then there's this thing
where you can open the back sideways or vertically. I don't know what an axle is, but there's
leather seats on the inside of the monitor at the front.
I mean, it's beautiful. It sinks right with your phone.
The black edition, so there's more pieces that like outside of the white outside,
the other parts are black. You know what?
Nailed it.
There you go.
It's about having the right people in a position to succeed.
Man about, uh, a lot of gear heads out there.
Look at that shirt you're wearing too.
I have one guy.
That's the Honda.
It's the Honda team. Yeah, that's right.
Powered by Honda.
So there you go.
that and that orange creature
a little worried about it being orange
it's like that's not a good omen perhaps
it is the brand new Honda
passport trail
sport it's almost the burnt orange
of the panther I dig it all
one of the kids needs a vehicle
and I'm that when you did
the fump yeah I was like
ooh yeah that peaked
my interest Anthony
put one aside
I
put one aside I
put one aside
Boom and I'll take the commission on that.
That's right.
It's,
you know what I like about it?
It's very boxy.
I said it's boxy and stout kind of like me.
It's my kind of rig.
Big handles,
lots of,
and it's not a three row.
The pilot is a three row.
So this one is the two.
So you got,
you got room for days in the back.
Oh,
it's awesome.
One aside.
But what aside.
Take one for a rip,
Buds.
You know what?
Maybe after I stop a bonnet.
tunnel just carry on big door handles can't
i love anthony can't be orange
it's a dark leaves burned orange i saw there was a
i'm not saying i just get the orange for everyone else but
i'll be honest the orange is striking and i love the front end
it's very strong
like it did you close the door i did it's very satisfying the sound of a
honda vehicle fombe i'm gonna get that
If Anthony can pull through.
Right.
Ryan Pinder.
Ryan Pinder.
Fellas, what a day in Flames land.
You're damn right it is, Ryan.
What a day.
What a time to be alive.
What a day to breathe in this glorious air we have in this glorious city.
Let's go to flamesnation.com.
Well, look at this.
The Flames know where they're picking in the draft.
And I'm A-OK with Pick 32, boys.
Got to run back 31.
31. 32.
Yeah.
Potato potato.
Meanwhile, our chat with Craig Conroy, if you haven't taken it in,
getting a lot of print around Flames Nation as Ryan Pike starts diving through some of
things.
Flames, no, they didn't do necessarily the best development job of San Bennett.
Yeah, okay.
More on that.
Also this.
We're counting down the top 20 draft picks in Flames history yesterday at the Kachuk.
10, now number nine, Michael Backland.
How was this guy still here?
You had him out of here in 2012.
Who backs?
Yeah.
Yeah, the K in like 2015, yeah.
Well, maybe if he was, there'd have been some other center who would have used that ice time and
you found away.
Led this team to it.
It's nine consecutive cup wins.
We'll keep the countdown.
You'll notice that nine days away from round one and eight, number eight and seven, like, we're counting.
Are we now?
All you count down.
days round one fellas flames pick at 18 and 32 we're counting them in we're counting them in yeah we
should have a specialist come in and tell us about all these great draft picks it could be yours and
backburner just did that a couple nights ago check our uh youtube page no i don't want to
lots of great content up there getting some big numbers byer baiters phenomenal and a guy that
therrence brother no we're going to keep moving so pictures from last night darts there's a couple
pictures that he was tough because chronological order
matters, right? So what came first and then what
came after? So this one came first
matters if you can explain it to it. So remember
this? That was game one, right? Yeah.
Yeah, it's game one
and overtime. So that was no check.
Put it over. Yeah. And Jake Walman's like, hey,
we're going to beat you. Ha, ha, ha.
You can't stop me, man. I'm Jake the steak.
I'm Jake Wombe. Yeah. And then
this picture happened after.
And that's, uh, somewhere in there is Thomas Nose.
is Jake laughing in this photo?
Can we find Jake anyone?
There's a lot of those pictures.
Where's Walman?
Where's Walman?
Where's Walman?
Where's Walman?
I can find the wizard and the scroll.
I'm missing Walman.
Can anyone see Walman?
I don't see him, no.
Act like an ass.
But Nosek is there?
Nosek is in there.
Is he in there?
Got it.
Oh, they let him, even though he.
Yeah.
Oh.
So Walman, maybe he's laughing, but he's just out of camera.
Yeah.
And actually, I think a lot of guys in that photo were on the bench when Walman did the flyby.
Right.
After he scored that goal.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Okay.
It's always good to bring attention to yourself and get the other team riled up.
Especially when the defending champs, the better team and such.
Panthers were very good.
Their depth was exceptional.
The number of guys putting up big points for this team, it really felt like it was a group of good players
against a few stars for Edmonton.
And that was going to be a battle.
The Oilers could not win, as we saw a lot.
last night. Again, 20 plus point players in a single playoff year, six for the Panthers.
That matches the 83 Islanders and the 85 Oilers. That's it. Oh, by the way, a lot easier to get
points back in 83 and 85. Because it says 2025 via two goals tonight from Reinhardt. He actually
had four. So is that number? Right. So his second goal of the night clinched the sixth guy at 20
and he'd had more. But there was six guys that got the 20 points in the playoffs. Very deep.
very deep.
Is Wallman on that list?
Not on that list.
No, his team didn't win the cup.
We'll keep moving.
Panthers, yeah, they shut down, quote-unquote, Connor McDavid, but here's the last two playoffs.
Zero goals and ten games from Kuturov, just four and 13 for McDavid, one goal and seven for Matthews, one and six for Pasternac, one in six for Panarin.
Nobody shuts down stars like the Panthers.
Well, that's great.
then you know what?
It's not your fault.
It is nice when you have the top two guys
in Selke voting on the same line.
Just run them back.
You can just play that against the other team.
Just don't play the Panthers.
That's their biggest fault.
Yeah, it should choose.
That's what Stam Bowman needs to do more than anything else.
You got to play the Panthers.
We're talking about it.
If they move that team to Orlando,
then they get all the tax breaks.
Yeah.
It just feels like that would be the fun.
Well, you know what else is going their way?
Pete DeBore's not coaching.
He didn't want to play him in a game seven.
That's maybe easier to avoid now.
don't play the Panthers.
Sam Ryanard had a night if you call four goals.
Man, him and babe die.
Got all the old baby.
Oh, babe.
Oh, baby.
That's pretty good in a clinching win,
and he hadn't been...
Is it?
Four goals?
His fingerprints weren't all over the series
until the last two games,
which, you know, made a difference
between two-two and four-two, right?
I would love to go back,
and maybe we can do that this summer.
All the...
The Oilers defenseman getting burnt by Reinhart and Marchand and Verhegeek for goals.
Can we watch that one day in the summer?
Probably.
I get lots of time.
All kinds of time.
That'd be great.
Anything else numbered four.
Do we go right to five here, Jack?
Right to five.
Okay.
So here's the thing.
Everyone's grandmother and the Karens that don't watch hockey that you see at the grocery store.
They're like, hey, this trophy hasn't been to where you consider it's Canadian team.
No, stop it.
But this is funny.
The CFL was won by the Baltimore Stallions in 95.
They won the Great Cup.
They brought it back to the States.
There's been no Stanley Cup one by Canadian.
Don't care.
It's a club sport.
It's club sport.
Is that Mike Pringle?
He is real good.
Jeez.
Blame the CFL for putting teams in the U.S.
Stupid.
Kachuk, Kachuk.
This is called the...
That's called Winnie.
Chuckie Hattie.
He's got the Stoge, the beer,
the bottle of champagne.
I'm winning.
And if that wasn't good enough,
guy playing through significant injuries,
they did decide to crank up the tunes on Pink Pony Club as well.
It's teens,
and there's the guy right in the middle of it.
You're doing okay?
I'm sorry.
They're doing okay.
Where do you think they went,
right?
Yeah, Sam,
we'd like to offer you a contract to come to Utah.
I've been in a moment.
Nate Schmidt's Brits.
I might
good
got my two cup ring plug in my ear
this this is lame though
yeah this is a little much
you'd be like dude get down I need to watch
what are you at Trump
I'm really to watch some people dance on tables
how about this the elbow room
is this one I was saying earlier
how do you decipher
because the weather's always nice
and they were at the elbow room
it would be dark though wouldn't it
well last year they went through
the night as you recall
they had in the beach
started her had it in the ocean then across the beach and
good god,
good god,
almighty.
What else do we got from the Alberta?
Another one?
Jeez.
Oh, yeah,
Sam needs a new deal also.
That's got to be this.
Eight more years,
you know?
What was that for Sam Ryanhart last year?
Again, we don't even know.
It's impossible to say.
So much winning.
Marshand, what an incredible fit for this team.
That weasel, that rat.
This grew,
Oh dear, that's a lot of bottles.
What are we looking at?
Is that 2011, Jack?
Or is that last night?
Yeah, that was 2011.
So he's back.
Young Marsha.
He's back.
I see.
They had a nice bar tab.
I think it was the first time we saw Bar tab from a championship team on Twitter.
It was 2011 after the Burns beat the Canucks.
It's like a smooth 250K U.S. or something.
Like that.
Probably what we're done?
Hey, it's for the boys.
The rat pack was with him last night.
This is quite the crew.
He's assembled.
A lot of Marchands in one spot.
The brothers, the sisters, the mom, the dad.
That's a hell of a crew.
God, he was a good panther.
If it was only two months, God, he was a good panther.
We worked with his sister.
Oh, yeah.
She gave me shit for stealing the pillow or so.
Right.
Yeah, you did steal that pillow.
Which one is the sister?
Don't know.
Pervert.
Oh, what?
I'm just...
I thought you recognized it from the pillow.
You're such a...
What?
I asked you to be a recognizing.
He just said we worked for this sister.
Settled down.
Too far.
Jeez.
Cachuk had some nice inflammatory comments.
Last year, of course, he had the...
I couldn't let my pals in Calgary down.
You know we'd come through this year on McDavid.
Quote, when you have a player that good and that talented,
he's going to win the Stanley Cup one day.
wherever it is, end quote.
I like it.
A little bit more subtle than last year.
Is he an example for others?
I mean,
if you think about leaving and going to the cup final three years in a row.
Yeah, that's probably a good example.
Chuck's like,
F this, Calgary.
I'm out of here.
It's been nice,
but thanks.
I'm gone.
I'm out.
Here's another one.
Giving you a heads up,
but I'm leaving.
Yeah, it was nice of him.
Connor could do that too.
Give him a whole year to get traded.
Max Valley.
been very loyal.
Quote, heart meets talent.
Our team was a team.
When things were getting hard for them,
they looked to one guy.
But our team,
we do it collectively,
and that's why we're lifting
the Stanley Cup right now
because we're a team
and not a bunch of individuals, end quote.
I believe that.
Chuck, he's been in heat.
Yeah.
Jeez.
There is the other side.
Get off your soapbox, Chuck.
Hey, settle down.
Holy.
Tuna.
Tough to watch Connor losing the
final but man of corky parry could do this every spring i'm fucking in this is just that weasel that
worm i'm okay with it well it didn't i mean in fairness 2023 didn't lose in the final yeah five of the last
six years no oh it's a lot of pain i mean i can only guess right when you see that i feel for him
that sucks oh the saving grace for him is he has one but that's i can honestly say playing in my
third final. I'm like,
even if we don't play good, hockey gods.
The hockey gods might not let this happen again.
Yeah, what are the odds losing?
Three can't be pop.
He's a free agent. He's 40.
Odzy signs in Chicago next year.
What do you think?
Next, Jack. Sorry, keep
moving. Doilers
had a lot of players that didn't have a great night.
In fact, they set a Stanley Cup final record
with four players at minus four
or worse. David, dry
sidle, Perry.
empty matters cheeky it's a horrible stat but it does involve that photo so we'll take it you're the first guy to crush plus minus but yet there it is
and what do we got here is it the stanley cup photo at some point minus oh that number gets big it's
Carolina edmonton oh oh oh that's remember new jersey was very very high at this time last year
jersey's sneaky good jersey's not going to sit on their hands and they're going to get hues the brother at some point
Carolina and Edmonton co-favorants,
Panther slightly behind plus 750,
aves plus 900,
stars plus 900.
C plus 1200.
By the way,
the flames checked in at 20th at,
I believe 80 or 85 to 1.
See,
the Hughes is going to leave.
Is that another guy?
And if he goes to Jersey,
that team's going to be damn good too.
Get him sooner than later.
I'm just trying to tell Connor that
the option's yours.
Connor.
Carter.
Yeah.
The option is yours.
Yeah.
Don't get bullied any of this.
Bull,
B.
Yeah.
You could do what's right for you.
Look at you talking right into the lens.
I want him to know.
You're talking right to know.
Do you want to?
He woke up this morning.
He wanted to hear what you want to go home.
Jack,
can we go full scream?
Rett's got to be faster.
Tile in.
Do it again.
Can't do.
It has to be heartfelt.
I'm just acting like all Pinders clips.
I'm a good actor,
right.
You got to work on your acting.
Anyway,
that's how people are feeling.
All right.
Got to pick one,
Jack, who you got?
I don't wait till free agency.
Ooh,
Colorado.
It wants all the info.
Carolina.
It goes back to.
I can't just.
Colorado.
We don't know who's on the team.
They got so much cap space and a lot of first rounders.
I'm going.
Hala.
La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La.
The Ken Holland Revenge season.
I think they're set up.
I like the team alone.
Did they fire the video?
Yeah, it looks good to be.
Coach, definitely challenging.
Yeah, 100%.
Give her a challenge.
Keep it fast.
On Jim.
I don't know why Michael's doing video for them.
Okay.
Matt Rent paid, Calgary boy, got paid today.
Two years, a hair under a million a year.
What kind of hair?
I need a hair.
$250,000 hair.
Oh, I guess $25,000 hair.
I think he's $9.7.
Yeah, I could do that too.
It's just,
hair off between retinae.
It's not good.
I'm going to go full mullet for stampy.
Nice.
Mollet,
stash,
and,
uh,
the cut off shirts,
what's that called?
Cut off shirt.
It sleeves the tank top.
And the belly shirt.
Right.
The belly tank.
That's a combo.
Crop top deal.
You should do that.
Hopefully going to be out of town.
Um,
do you have enough hair to make a mullet?
Is that what you asked?
in the back.
For you?
Long in the back.
Yours isn't long enough.
Yeah.
See?
But if you go tight enough on the sides, Ryan.
That's true.
Do the monkey butt.
Pardon me?
The monkey butt.
What's that?
Shave the top.
Bald ass on top of your head.
Now,
don't need that.
Is that going to work at Stampede?
Maybe I've had the whole time, I guess.
I don't know.
Work for what?
For just, you know,
what are you trying to accomplish at stampede?
Not get things thrown at you for having a monkey butt on your head?
You realize you live on the air.
You should.
Yeah.
Is that going to work?
Is that going to work?
It's going to work a stampede for you?
You want to cut a mullet for stampede?
They're going to work for you?
I mean, how much, I mean, popularity could you possibly?
Popcorn can a guy eat?
That candy corn at the...
Last day and last chance for our stampedeers contest.
We're giving away two seats at Centerfield, the 11-yard, 11 rows up, excuse me,
Centerfield, Midfield, the 11-yard line.
The 50th seat.
Yep.
Two hats, two shirts.
Two people smarter than me.
And a football.
11th row.
Stop giving away my football.
Why is it in the picture?
Shut up, Dean.
You know what?
We're going to get you a football.
The stampeters are a football team, but how's anyone to know unless we put a football in that photo?
Yeah.
Great stage.
I believe there was a football in the photo.
I was told I would win the football.
Fat boy said so.
No, I said there was no football.
That's my football.
I've always wanted to.
I've always wanted a CFO.
It looks like it's maybe been game used.
It says jugs on it.
I want it.
It's a machine that throws.
So again, no football.
Two hats, two shirts, two seats,
Saturday, 2 p.m.
Red blacks.
Nice.
This Saturday.
That's correct.
You're wearing your poncho.
The two and all.

It doesn't matter.
It went with crumple.
Okay.
Our men's national soccer team playing at the Gold Cup.
They opened last night in Vancouver.
Healthy crowd.
And this is a team they're playing Honduras who beat them 8-1 back in 2012.
An embarrassing loss, maybe rock bottom for our national program.
It would not be 8-1 on this night, friends.
Honduras, Jack.
Yeah, where's Honduras?
Jack.
Any relation to Churros?
America.
Oh, that's nice.
That's Tejohn Buchanan, who's back from his injury.
and a backflip, bang.
Why are they always doing backflip?
Why not?
You can do it.
You show them off.
There's a lot of things you could probably do.
That'd be impressive that you don't do in a soccer match.
Give us some example, Dean.
Just kind of a helicopter, what is talking?
Hypothetically speaking.
Around the world.
Woo, weo.
It makes noises.
Woo.
Swat to thwap.
Okay.
8-6-0.
Oh, it's worth a trip then, for sure.
Take that Honduras, Jack, where they are.
Honduras.
Honduras.
Hunter, Honduras.
It's a long trip.
Village Honduras.
Central Asia.
Is this by the stands, Jack?
Honduras stand?
Where are we?
Jack's been talking about getting a boat.
Oh, so here we go.
So, Jack, you love the boats and the fishing.
Jack.
You got to get these boats.
That's a hot time boat.
That's a hot time boat.
Oh, yeah.
We're a little rough.
We're talking three and five, but.
Like, Gary.
I think she's got it.
Look at the hot dogs in there.
I think we're.
I think you need one.
Jack.
God,
that's cool.
That thing is amazing.
That's great.
Yeah.
Think of that.
The hot dog.
How do you make that?
Jack loves hot dogs.
He loves boats.
It's a fit.
Maybe then you can buy the dog, the dog van from Dumb and Dumber, the Mutt Clips.
Dude.
Or the Wasker.

That's my boy, bone.
It's summertime, though.
I don't care.
Put the friggin' rain coat on him or something.
Did you drop it off on the doorstep this time?
I would.
It's a lovely boy.
Actually, I might have kept that.
He's one of the best behaved in the whole.
The whole litter.
You pick them up all the time, just hold them up.
Who's a good boy?
Who's a good boy?
It's a big birthmark too.
Really likes it when you work the butt.
Just give it a good deal.
Not subtle.
That's your Pender report.
That joke is not subtle.
On a glorious Wednesday.
Village Honde is so proud.
Proud of the passport and proud of the Pinder.
Village Hont of your dealership for life.
The lot is jammed.
Since the whole COVID thing, it was tough to get new vehicles.

They are back.
I mean, they're back, baby.
They're back, baby.
Guess who's back?
Back again.
Anthony's back.
Tell you for VillageHonda.com.
Do we have a Stamps giveaway, Ryan?
As just noted,
with the non-giveaway CFL ball.
Right.
Two seats for 11.
How do we enter for that, Jack?
What do we got to do?
Hit the socials.
All right.
Flames Nation, Instagram.
Because that game is.
Saturday afternoon.
Yeah, that's right.
We're going to give them away today.
We don't need to get you the merch and the football today.
We'll be able to e-transfer, like get to email the tickets.
We can't e-transferred you the jerseys.
No, no.
T-shirts.
In fairness, you don't need them to go to the game.
Oh.
You might want them, but you don't need to.

We'll do it today.

Oh, it can be over.
Yeah, we're not done yet.

that enjoyed the Stanley Cup playoffs with Bet365.
Got it brought a little extra joy to your life,

Pulcating, as Jack Michaels would say.
Yeah.
No hockey tonight.
In fact, we're off from NHL hockey until the second week of October.
Thank God.
I was going to wear my jersey today.
It's 2019.
Blue Jays, Donaldson.
I was going to say.
Nice baby blue don't.
You love the Jay's.
Big fan.
Well now.
Turn the page.
Vlad Garrow three for four last night.
A home run.
A bunch of RBIs playing well.
Locked in.
Jays hit two home runs back to back in the ninth to rally against the Dbacks to see
if they can make it two in a row.
Plus two hundred for Vlad to get two plus hits.
There you go.
Triple your money.
A blue j baseball on your bet.
365 bets of the day.
He's a code nation when you sign up.
Would you?
If you'd bet Canada to beat Honduras.
Honduras.
You would have made a lot of money.
Yeah.
What's the scoring that game?
Six nothing.
Smaller nets.
This is their last tournament before the World Cup.
Canada.
It's an important one.
Yep.
Playing Houston for the next two games.
Great.
Making a trip, Dean.
Yep.
Texans.
Super chat.
You centers of Calgary every time you guys come through,
guys and girls, whoever,
is in the chat.
He puts some money down.
We'll show your comment on the show at the very end.
And then take that money and get it to the use end of Calgary so they can use it.
And put it in a good use.
Put it to good use.
Kids are going to be happy today.
It was a big day for the super chats.
We appreciate everybody's.
Everybody contribute.
The generosity.
The coffee was tasting good for everyone today.
Yeah.
Everything's just a little better.
Someone slept oil?
Sweeter.
Yeah, let's do it.
Eric.
Oh, boy.
378 days until McDavid is.
you F. I believe you, Eric.
Yeah, I've got done the math. You may be right.
It's a hell of an avatar too. Can you see his picture? Yeah.
Oh, you can't see it. No, you can see it. You can't see it.
I don't know. Blind old bad.
555, which probably means he wants.
Yes. Someone's going to start doing that with the nines.
Corey.
I think is Corey Perry? No, uh, $5. Well, it's not because different
Chicago. Good morning from humid Chicago boys.
Glad you're enjoying the Edmonton tears.
Tears, tears.
Well, we just like good entertainment.
We just want two good teams.
Competition.
I always wear the shirt.
I don't know what you're talking about, Corey.
But thanks for love Chicago.
Triedown.
Yeah.
Rats thinks it's stabby.
I think there's still some good spots there.
Until you get stabbed.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, tough to place.
It's good stab.
No, no.
McDavid got the Matt's Sunday.
Dean Award. I didn't know there was
such an award. I didn't either. Geez, I wonder
it could be four. Mats didn't win.
And also Matt's had terrible teammates.
There's some common ground.
With Vancouver at the end.
It's still good. So did messy. Never go to
Vancouver at the end.
Yuck.
Justin Stephen 699,
play LaBamba, baby.
See, that is their thing. I didn't want to
I know why the LaBomba thing.
I don't know that. But, but I understand.
understand that I understand the spirit of what you're saying.
So point well taken.
We'll take the money for the kids.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Lo Lo, as a Panthers fan, love you guys.
Flames need a cup.
Sure do.
Yeah, it's coming.
Be all right.
Bring it home.
Yeah.
Be all right.
Well, how many days still for agency for McDavid?
Just zip him right in here.
That solves your number one center problem.
What a move.
Oh, power move.
Get Murray working on that, would you?
Uncle Murray.
You know, I like Alberta, but just these winters are a little less bitter down here.
It's a Chinook.
It's real stabby up here and scrappy.
It's a Chinook conner.
Handed out rear naked chokes in the.
Pulled on.
Hands of Dad.
Just smile.
Hands of Dad, $50.
Wow.
And just a smiley face avatar.
God bless you.
Handsome Dan.
Good on.
Oh, the kids are so lucky.
Thank you.
Hands of Dan.
I'm glad that it finally, it took him four rounds, but he finally got a team.
that it came through for him.
Winners win, Dean.
Yeah.
Winners win.
William Barch.
Sixth, Chris's son.
I distributed Charlie Brown missing the football memes around work today.
Ball replaced with the cup and Charlie wearing Oilers gear, Lucy and Panthers gear.
That would be how you would use that.
You could send that to producer Jack.
We could get some run out of that there, Bill.
The thing being with the football being the cup,
that would be what you're trying.
That's the focus.
So close.
That's the target.
And how it always would work is in Charlie Brown comic books, the comic strip.
Lucy would hold the football and she'd always say, I'm not pulling it away.
Come through.
Take your big run out of it.
And kick this thing.
And then she'd always pull the football away, that lion.
Ready to the last minute, right?
Yeah.
Last second.
And Charlie Brown would go whoop.
And then land on his took us and probably hit the back of his head.
Sometimes it was hard ground.
It can really hurt.
Mud, sometimes it was snow, but he always fell over.
So what William is saying here is that the cup was the target and Charlie Brown was the Oilers.
So the Oilers went and took a, but once again, the Panthers.
Oh, see.
They pulled the cup.
They made it impossible for Charlie Oilers to get that target.
To kick the ball, the cup.
So that would be a good use of that.
I swear Bill.
Used properly in that sense.
Tom the trucker.

rotisserie prime rib from Bontal.

It's turning a heck of a day.
And yeah, the summer looks, things are looking up.
Things are really looking up.
Arm Bay 2799.
Na, nah, nah.
McDavid, Oiler Greaser's era described as always a bridesmaid, never a bride, as they dance to Pink Pony Club.
Great work, former Flames, Consmite winner in Florida, Marshan to Calgary, eight and a half per year for four years at Oilers Nightmare.
I'm up for it.
That feels like it's a little top heavy in terms of the AAV, but.
Anything to just salt the wounds.
I'm good.
Eight and a half?
It's a lot.
It's a lot.
You can do their cashways, though.
You sat on like $20, $16 million last year.
Out of Marchand or don't?
Mario.
That's a bet.
Last night,
geez, I had to find a bag of ice as I rolled my ankle,
dancing on Edmonton's grave.
Speaking of bags of things,
anybody know what Edmonton 8th pregame?
I heard rumors.
A big bag of, a big bag of, I can't recall, cheers.
Big bag of, um, there's Lowell with five.
I've, big, big old bag of eight equals equals equals D's.
You love to see it.
Phallis.
Phallus.
Is that,
we exhausted it?
The bag of,
the bag of D's kind of,
people say that, right?
Oh,
a lot of bags all the time.
For something that, again, I've never seen.
I'm sure it's probably existed in some mythical thing,
weird.
I mean, I know where you go.
these parties you go to, who knows, maybe.
Excuse me, I'm just going to put my keys in this fish bowl.
And where is the bag of d?
Cheese.
Kitchen?
Kitchen.
Freezer.
Good.
Thanks.
Ah.
Feels good.
It's kind of like,
kids are winning.
When you were a kid, you loved Christmas Day.
And you knew that every day couldn't be like Christmas, but you just enjoyed every moment.
Just got to cherish it.

Tomorrow, Jamie McClennon doesn't have to fly to Edmonton.
He'll be flying back home to his mom will be sad.
I don't want to.
Yeah, she's probably done with him.
Yeah.
Oh, he doesn't shut up, eh?
Yeah, she's probably done with them.
Wow, she's always going to make those peanut butter squares.
Ah, the peanut butter squares.
Dregs.
You go to a thing and man at Saskatchez.

Jello and their salads.
Jello salads and marshmallows and everything.
It's not for everyone.
Yeah, we're heading to the origin golf tournament.
Strat Vegas.
Strathmore.
Tomorrow we're back with Jamie McLennan.
And hopefully the vibes are still immaculate.
I don't know.
I don't see anything on the horizon that could dampen our mood.
I don't either.
I don't either.
So, um,
