Oh, hi, buddies. Welcome to the show.
Rabbit, Rabbit.
Ah.
I said it earlier.
Do I win?
No.
Or does it have to be said on the show?
Well, what are the stipulations here?
Oh, I woke up at the way.
I'm supposed to be the first thing.
So I kind of said the other stuff first.
Yeah, whatever.
I already yelled at it.
Don't let it ruin your day.
No, don't want to ruin your day.
Bet 365, presenting sponsor of the program, game props, player props,
totals on the money line and make the logo bigger.
Whatever your bet is, it's never ordinary.
at Bet365.
Is there a...
Was that part about the logo?
I don't know.
It just...
It could be bigger.
Like, it's off-setter.
Are you sure?
Yeah, let's take a look.
Do it again?
Yeah.
Like, the gap between presented by and...
Seems large.
The script underneath.
Oh, yeah, that's for sure.
Oh, I thought you meant left to right.
So left to right, we're probably okay, if anything.
Maybe a little.
But, yeah, it's a...
Boy, you make it bigger.
Someone fell asleep on the old...
return button there and space that's right yeah down it goes ah whatever hey we love that
365 so i need to know we new graphics we're we're thankful for them hard to come by sounds like
must be 19 or older at a super chat if you're in the see now that's nice and big i can read that
you sit as a calgary hello yo i think a jack talks he should have to donate shit talk and everybody
so you should talk again yeah jerk if you're in the comment section you
leave a comment along with a cash donation.
We'll put your comment on the show near the end.
And then we'll take the money, get it to the U-Senders of Calgary.
And of course, we are here in the McLeodlaw LLP studios.
On October the 1st, another month.
Thank you, McLeodlaw.
Thank you to all our sponsors.
As, uh, wow, it was funny, my, uh,
my kid's girlfriend was over yesterday.
And she was so excited.
It's like, okay, there's no football tonight, right?
Like Sunday, it's football and Monday and it's just not football.
Finally we'll have some no sports on TV. Wait a minute.
This is the girlfriend?
Well, the fiance.
Oh.
Yeah, the fiance.
Wow.
Now, wait a second.
You kind of glossed over that.
Two things.
It's the addition to the family that's in your home bitching about what's on the tube.
No.
Strong B.
It was.
Whoa.
Whoa.
I think she was probably excited of a board game.
Didn't know.
The boy.
is the one I was telling you.
He is really,
really into fantasy football.
A year and a half ago,
he couldn't understand why it was.
Now it's like,
ah,
we need two RIR spots.
This is a bullshit.
This is an example for the teachers out there.
They could use some of the fantasy football references.
Sure.
Kids and games.
Yeah,
that's right.
Matthew.
So I think she hears a lot about football and then fantasy football.
Oh,
and to her.
on her behalf.
Somebody else's fantasy football.
Not super exciting.
No,
not super scintillating.
Even if you're in love,
that's tough.
Yeah,
so she was excited
to maybe just,
you know,
watch some television.
Hmm.
That didn't have
some sporting angle to it.
And you swatted that.
And she walked in,
and it was right about the time
that Max Fried was taken out of the blog.
What the fuck?
Are you doing,
boo?
Fuck!
Snove sharps.
Okay.
102 pitches.
Four hits over six.
No runs.
No, definitely go to the bullpen,
you fucking donkey.
Yeah, walk.
Yeah, of course.
Yeah, three one.
Fuck.
How are you, honey?
So that's what she walked in on.
Sorry,
happy to know that there was no football on the,
on the screen.
Not your fault.
I don't know.
Is that?
Not your fault.
I'm support my buddy.
Just like yesterday, Pinder came in.
He had a shitty birthday, got shitty presents.
We built them back up.
Dino has a bad day at the ballpark yesterday.
Yankees and boom, they blow it big.
I'm building you back up.
That's what I'm here for.
What a great friend.
That's what I'm here for Jackie Boy.
And I was going to build Jackie Boy up to with some Borset.
And I forgot it.
Almost hit for the cycle there.
Yeah, almost.
Sorry, Jack.
Can't win them all.
Can't win them all.
Just a Borzan triple away from the cycle, right?
That's what I'm here for.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
He was cruising.
Like, both those pitchers were phenomenal.
Getting out of jams when they got into them.
Double played in the sixth.
They get to the seventh.
First batter.
The ground out gets over to first.
Like, bang, bang, these guys are rolling.
One nothing leads.
Coming.
What are you, why?
Yeah.
There's always that thing in baseball where there is no guarantee.
The guy you pull out of the bullpen is any better than the guy you got up there.
Oh, no.
You couldn't give us.
So it's just I'm kind of with boom like when a guy's dialed throw the analytics out like what's the eye test telling you they're not hitting them.
It's not a fresh faced rookie no it's a veteran.
Arguably your best pitcher starter on the other side they were quite happy to let the let him just keep throwing 117 pitches and apparently he's just like yeah, uh if you go to the bullpen it's for Chapman because I'm not coming out before that stud stud.
Stead. I like the red socks too.
And you could see the body language in the eighth inning.
Yankees are getting out.
And they're just like, they know they were fucked.
It's like, we're not going to get a hit off that other bald donkey.
Have you seen him throw?
We're hoped.
There was a big speed wobble.
Bottom nine, though.
There was there for them.
Yeah.
Then what is loaded, none out?
Oh.
And they didn't get around?
It's a very high run probability with a base.
They play small ball and try and punt.
They probably could a lot.
Suicide squeeze?
You know, there was a sack fly.
There was a sack fly and a base hit where you probably could have sent that runner and made them make a play.
That's not really how the Yankees are built.
Booney knows.
Booney knows better.
Move them around the bases to you.
Anyway, is Booney taking any heat today?
From boom already.
I think it's, you know what?
It's your fault.
You're jinxie pantsed them because you got so excited yesterday.
You're bragging.
If you stopped bragging about your Yankees.
I knew it.
You wouldn't shut up.
Friggin' knew it.
Hey, this is great.
We want a long series anyway, right?
Brett.
A tuck of these guys out for the Jays.
All three.
All three.
Yeah.
Buckle up.
A ray of sunshine.
You are my son.
The wild card sucks.
It's so cruel because it just happens so quick.
It's good that it exists.
Happy to have it.
To have, I mean, it brings drama and it gets more teams involved.
See, they're the opposite of hockey.
they need to drop the regular season games,
not increase them,
and then maybe throw a couple more.
Even the DS being a best of five is whack.
Yes.
Like you're talking about the final,
like best two division leaders in each league.
Best of five?
It's like a league that plays 162
is suddenly worried about playing too many games.
It's like,
is this not like the greatest large sample sport ever?
And now you're going to like handle championship
based on best of fives and three game series along the way?
Come on.
Is there big building availability issue?
No, I don't think there is.
I feel like,
Nickelback can't be playing all 30 cities at the same night.
Probably got to be able to sneak into these ballparks that you probably own.
Anyway, there's a rain out, Dino.
We need a day off.
Back at it today.
I'll get your rain out.
It's around about 2 o'clock.
Rose goes to the front, big guy.
All right.
It's a game day.
How did you take it yesterday, though?
Were you, well, it sounded like,
did you yell at the TV in stride?
I was,
I was surprisingly disappointed.
Surprising.
Against that guy being up on nothing.
That's their ace.
That was their best chance to win a game in the series.
Well,
you probably guarantee,
wow.
The guy they're throwing today is nothing special.
But for the socks.
Yeah,
I don't know.
It was,
um,
it was,
uh,
that was the tone in the house for sure for myself.
Anyone want to play Yotsie?
Because I'll be honest.
It's not like,
it was a summer of nonstop Yankees on the TV.
You pay attention, but you're not watching game after game,
but as you get closer to it, it's like, all right.
Yeah.
Should be going to reel in these, uh,
freaking good jays or what are we going to do here?
What's happened?
We got any, all right.
Oh, Boston, big match.
Oh, shit.
You all right.
How's a great game?
One nothing.
All right.
How much did you drink yesterday?
Fair amount.
Good for you.
Enough to end up on the couch on the main floor because the inlaws are in the basement.
Pre-show, right?
You missed a bit on the pre-show.
show.
Let's throw us a lot there.
You mentioned shitty gifts.
I did.
Yeah.
When you were kind of doing your.
Ixnay on the itchy.
Yeah.
You with the Yankees.
Yesterday,
I read with the birthday and his shitty gifts and that.
It was.
Well,
if you want to be a good friend.
I'm building them up.
Take some pointers.
You know what I'm doing?
See,
this is again,
you guys play,
which is better?
Checkers and I play chess.
I told Conroy.
Listen.
sign Anderson to the deal he wants and then trade his ass to the kings for the deal you want.
Everybody wins.
What are you doing?
What's going on here is that Ryan and you and Jack being dumbasses?
Don't realize I'm playing the long game.
You think next year he's getting a leaf blower or a power tool for present?
Not a chance.
Back to socks and underwear back in the past line.
This guy is going to get Blue Jays season tickets, a charge of.
Trip to watch the Chargers.
Season tickets.
He loves surfing events.
He's going to go to Costa Rica, watch some surfing.
It's going to be awesome.
From now on, there will be no failing because the house knows.
I just said, can I ask some questions?
You can ask, I might choose to plead the fifth.
And I'm just looking for the shortest route to an answer.
It doesn't need to be true, false yet.
But somewhere in that vicinity without getting too pindery.
Right.
Do my best.
Did the topic of your gift come up yesterday at the house?
It did.
I think it got back.
Like I did.
Like you, Jack.
Okay.
It did.
Do you think it was because it was word of mouth?
Maybe someone watched the show and brought it back or.
She's not.
People are.
Or did.
Back channel.
Did.
Back channel?
Someone must have enlightened.
Okay.
Uh, yeah.
What?
Did you bring it up?
No.
And he never said anything yesterday, really.
He said he doesn't like it.
We discussed it.
Yeah.
Other people had their opinions, but I think, well,
strong ones.
The one takeaway I had was the leaf blower for a guy who doesn't have leaves.
I think that's,
you can even cut his,
you don't even need to see.
But that's him.
He can't play make believe.
Like there's a, right?
Make believe trees.
There's leaves.
You can blow off snow.
I'll bet you there's a.
a sidewalk.
There is a sidewalk.
If there's a light dusting.
Yeah.
There's a front walk.
Yeah.
Huh?
You got the patio in the back probably.
Yeah.
The car's got a little bit on it.
Yep.
Huh?
This is a very thoughtful gift now that I think about it.
Yeah, I thought about it afterwards that definitely the light dusting of snow is.
I hadn't thought about that.
You're not allowed.
She'll get yourself to draw.
So was...
Did it come up yesterday?
Might have.
Around the dinner table or prior or shortly after the meal.
Around the,
uh,
two top at the restaurant.
Oh,
at the,
who even.
A two top.
We're at a restaurant.
Oh,
God.
So you.
So did you request an upgrade?
Okay.
So you and the lovely are out for a birthday dinner.
Oh,
what?
Yeah.
And then.
You kind of get into, yeah, so now you've had some drinks prior?
Can't confirm.
Okay.
Who brings up the gift?
Oh, yeah, what?
She brings it up, okay.
So she's been led to believe that maybe you're not super pumped about it and you've had some Guinness and.
Oh, boy, this is going to get good.
I'm a lot to talk now, I think.
And, um, tell me, boy.
Did it get awkward?
It depends on your threshold for awkwardness.
But if someone leaves a birthday dinner before it's over,
that would be more on the awkward side of this non-awcred to awkward scale.
Sounds serious.
See, I heard that maybe someone left the dinner.
I thought, oh, you know what?
You have a bunch of your kids and grandparents, a bunch of people over.
It's like, oh, I've had enough of this.
I'm going to get up and just go to the other room.
The two-top, leaving the two-top dinner.
Well, the food had been eaten at least, and the drinks had been consumed, and the bill was arriving,
and I just wasn't the worst time to part ways, I suppose.
I see.
All the relief lower.
This stupid show.
You're not supposed to take this show serious.
Come on, people.
Let me back channel into what?
Yeah, whoever you are.
Who are?
Yeah, you're rats, you narcs.
Snitches get stitches.
Snitches will get stitches.
That's right.
Classy move.
Thanks.
buddies
who does that
I know I wouldn't
well now I almost feel bad
almost
well I you know what
it uh
do you know
do you ever have that
feeling of impending doom
yeah Dean lives with it
but for the rest of us
it comes and goes at times
the schedule was not
the forecast was calling
for perhaps some heavy showers
on the rise.
And as I deleted Guinnesses
at an incredible rate, Harry,
before going to dinner with my wife.
Right.
I'm glad. It sounds like you stuck up first.
And her stress level is high.
Very low because obviously when your parents
are in town from other continent, that's always
more stress. It's not higher at all.
Well, happy birthday, Ryan.
That was yesterday, guys.
44.
Happy birthday.
What a day.
Way to kick it off.
What a game.
It was a great game.
Good stuff.
We just press.
pause at about 8 p.m.
It was a perfect day.
Hit all my bets.
Oh,
life was good.
Really?
Yeah.
Thanks for coming up Pinder.
Last week it was retro.
It's this week.
Yes.
Everything's coming up Pinder.
Your next week, boom.
Be ready.
Am I?
Yes.
Mr.
Sunshine is coming to you.
I don't think that's,
I didn't see that on my calendar.
I'm sure that's going on.
It sneaks up on the calendar.
It's just got to.
Yeah.
I'd love to dig into this, but I feel like we shouldn't.
I think we've dug enough.
I'm also,
I'm also, I feel bad.
And I'm also intimidated.
because I've ran into this person on the street before and I wondered if I might be.
Maybe it was amazing.
Maybe you had been deleting Guinnesses with the intensity of 10,000 suns.
Oh, what?
Leafblower, eh?
Like, what do you think?
I hear you don't even have trees.
I was reminded we have foliage and bushes and shrubs, which have leaves, but.
Well, it'll come in handy then.
they don't really call it a foliage blower.
It's true.
Oh, well.
Sure,
it's all as well that ends well.
At least someone's not enjoying this.
No,
I,
when I heard that maybe there was a parting of the ways
during dinner,
I didn't know it was at a restaurant
with two people at the dinner.
No, if there was food on the plates,
that would have been.
Yeah, that's much more awkward.
Yeah.
Anything good?
Great food.
What you order?
Just done the walk.
Did that spicy?
pasta again.
Oh, that fancy place.
Oh, lovely.
Green tomatoes, whipped tracotta, bread.
Lots of good stuff.
He must be rich.
And he's not a food guy.
I'm a vibes guy.
Fives are good there.
Really?
She's a food gal.
Well, they were, yeah.
Till about you, 808.
Yeah.
This is so good.
I love it.
This is terrible.
Thanks, guys.
I appreciate your sport.
Immaculous.
Yeah.
Well, I know it probably.
probably feels like we're like laughing at you or just laughed i know that's probably what it feels like
and maybe it's what it looks like and maybe if we go back and look at the youtube afterwards maybe that
in fact is what's happening it's okay i'm an idiot i know i'm an idiot you know what i'm not a normal human
good point by you though dean i might need clarification because sometimes it's not as bad as we're
making it out to see that's right like was yesterday really what i don't even know
what word used, but a, were we slamming down?
I don't think so. Were we off base?
I don't think so. No, we're level-headed folk.
Doesn't she realize we have a common-sense people?
We need this content. We need things to talk about.
Again, I don't think it's her fault. I think it's her loser friend that felt the need.
And you can shut your mouth and in fairness, stay out of it.
If you or I had been given a leaf blower, we'd be very happy.
Rett's already lobbied to. I'll be drying my hair right now.
It comes back to Pinder.
Yeah, you're ignorant.
I am ignorant.
There's no denying it.
The track record is long enough.
Yeah.
You're ignorant,
but the other person could know also
that the Blue Jays are playing on set.
Oh, yeah, they're not here.
You know what?
It's a really good time for a girls tennis weekend.
So that's...
Anyway.
Time heals all wounds, Steve.
Sure does.
Time apart.
Heels off.
Yeah.
Absence makes the heart grow fonder.
Some time away.
Oh, so where are you guys?
going. I'm going to the
I'm going to kid hockey. Yeah. She's going
to Laguna Beach. I'm going to stoop
apart and Joe Murphy
Arena and Springbank.
You're going to Laguna.
We'll do the PIDder Report coming up a little bit.
Lots of baseball in there. It was a great night. Playoff
baseball is the best. We always talk about it.
162 is a real marathon and there's
some gems in there, but you've got to sit through a lot of
baseball. It is condensed
intensity of
10,000 suns. There's
There's been a signing in the national hockey league.
Really?
There's been a trade in the national hockey league.
There's games.
And we are like, national hockey league.
We're down to like really tight numbers of the flames.
They signed a bunch of bodies yesterday.
You got 15 forwards.
90.
Just.
Come on now.
Nine.
Thank you.
And three goalies.
So you want your positional battles at the end of camp?
You got them.
There's a little, at least a little intrigue in each position.
group very nice but right now friends it's time we go to the crystal waters plumbing and

Crystal clearcalgary.com is the website call 403-219, 4100 to learn more.
We go to the insider hotline and welcome back.
Our good friend.
Who could it be?
Jamie.
God, Glennon.
Dang it.
You see him and you're smart.
You see him and you're smart.
You see him and you smile.
Did you get younger over the...
He did.
No, old man.
You look great.
You're looking good.
You got to wear that hat on your show.
They got you with the spray on hair.
The hat looks good.
That's noodle.
The Lego hair.
I'm all good.
But yes, I got a new hat.
My apparent media company, they're out of Calgary, APMC.
They're out.
Shameless plugs already.
Could you lose some two minutes in?
I didn't want to wear this on air.
I mean, I look like the Lego hair.
What do you want?
What percentage of that company do you own noodles?
Be honest with us.
Not enough.
Self promotion.
Not enough.
Put it that way.
Maybe you could loop some guys in that live in Calgary.
Thanks for the stock tip noodles.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Not public yet.
Not public yet.
Okay.
Catch the last word that of that statement.
Yet.
Yet.
Not yet.
So, well, we're getting caught up in all that is noodles.
You've, your winters are very busy.
You travel.
It's a lot of hockey and shows and radio and this and that.
And then the summer comes and you're just so happy to get away and go to the beach and just kick back and relax.
If there's anything we know about downtime, it's to just get off the grid.
Declutter.
I was off the grid.
I mean, I went to Italy for almost three weeks.
That was great.
We choose a different spot every year.
This year was Sardinia, which is awesome.
Always Italy?
Yeah.
No other place.
Why go to some other place?
You know, like we were going to try Portugal.
I've heard Portugal's good.
I was actually going to say, well, Portugal's kind of.
COVID happened.
And then we were flying Air Tap.
It took me five years to get my refund for my flight.
So I'm done with Air Tap, Air Portugal right now.
But I mean, if you're, we've got our favorite spots in Italy.
So we hit them, but then we also try new cities and stuff.
So we're very comfortable there.
family trip and all that got to do a boys trip in february we're going to figure that one out so that's
that one's during the break during the break yes we're trying to back to italy watch some hockey no with the
boys i don't know i think it's more uh you know what we're talking about what about like london
england for a soccer game yeah okay i was going to say it's a wrong time a year for weather but
if you're going to go watch a premiership match that'd be epic go south and watch a south american hockey game
I don't know if they'd let us into that country.
Oh, you'd get let in.
You'd be running it.
Might not come back.
That's the problem, though.
London can get stabby as well, though.
Yeah.
Very concerned about stabbings these days.
Exactly.
So I honestly, I don't know.
I mean, at the end of the day, it might be just Vegas for two days and drinking and
and doing yourself for Nashville, play a little country music.
Who knows?
We're going to Nashville.
Do you know about our Nashville trip?
Are you coming?
When?
Well, Rhett needs a roommate.
We're going Halloween.
We fly in the day.
in Nashville. We've got Halloween
night on Broadway.
This guy is so busy.
There's zero chance. I know, but we got to grab
the phone. We're bragging up our trip.
I'm just saying, like, I'm just seeing what my
schedule looks like at that. If you're at St.
Louis, maybe he'll just pop over.
Flames Preds afternoon matinee on the Saturday and then
Sunday Titans Chargers.
Or you don't go to any of those and just be in
Nashville. Or just next.
He at Cutsies. I'll meet you at Tootsies and you guys.
What floor? Third floor.
I'll hold down, hold down the fort.
as of right now there might be a conflict but maybe not it might be able to be adjusted so you never know
god what an addition you would be and you do look younger now that's because you didn't work as hard also
vitamin d yeah i've been working i've been working hard since uh we came back what september 2nd
i've been working for a month yeah with your two hour radio show well and i called the game last
night. I was in Quebec City last night and took a 520 flight this morning to get back to Toronto.
And then I fly to Edmonton tonight for I've got a meeting tomorrow there. And then back to
Montreal on Friday. So it's a business. I was Quebec. Yeah, because I don't know a lot of people
were aware of this in Western Canada, but the Sends played almost all of their home preseason games
in Quebec City because they had one and then the rest were in Q City. Yeah. And then they're in St. Louis.
I think tomorrow and then they're in Montreal on Saturday.
But yeah, a couple games there.
I just did one.
I flew in there yesterday morning, flew back this morning.
But, you know, it got a bit greasy.
I will say the game got a bunch of fights.
The jack-eye, I call them the brother's jack-eye.
So there's two of them now.
And one's a forward, one's a D.
I think the forward might be better than the D.
Really?
When it's all said and done.
The forward's got some jam, but he could score.
He's got some hands on him.
And, you know, the brother, I think, is, you know, Arbor, I think is like a five, six,
maybe a six, seven depending on, but he's tough as nails.
But they're the one thing that, you know, I got out of watching these,
these Ottawa, Montreal games, and I'll get another one on Saturday is these teams are
coming.
But they're, you know, their rebuilds are, you know, over and they're heading north.
This Demandolph's a player.
Lining looks healthy and reinvigorated.
You know, we know what Suzuki, Slavkovsky, Koffield is.
You know, they've kind of cycled through.
I think the big question mark is a guy like Kirby Doc there,
who's healthy has had any injuries,
but he looked really good last night.
Big guy, big strong.
And you look at Ottawa.
You know, Ottawa, you went and got Dylan Cousins.
They got that Fabriand Zetterland.
That's on top of Stutzla, you know, Batherson, Kach.
like they you know drew looks uh looks really good like both teams best player on the ice for
ottawa last night was jake sanderson he's gonna be a stuff like he's i think he might win
a norris like i think he makes that olympic team or is it too soon i think it's too soon to call but i
would the one thing that i've always heard and these are coaches telling me this isn't you know a
player or a scout if jake sanderson is better defensively than he is offensively than he is offensive
and his offense is just taking off now.
So that's the scary part.
And I told you guys, I may have said this once before.
The only comparison I have to Jake Sanderson,
and it's not a great comparison because it's such a high standard,
is Scott Needhamer.
Jeez.
Like that's how good this guy skates.
That's how good he is defensively.
And offensively, his game, like I say, his game is coming.
It jumps into the play at the right time.
Like that's the scary.
And again, I don't know if that's out of line,
but I would love, you know, at some point when you guys watch them,
you let me know if there's another defenseman that reminds you of,
if he reminds you of somebody else.
Well, you know, it's crazy when you talk about the Olympics,
no one would have had Drew Doughty going into that hockey.
Remember going into that year?
Dowdy was a high NHL pick, and then he got on the ice,
and then his game started to come, and he came to the camp,
and this guy's really good.
and then he made the team.
Well, interesting.
It's Dowdy and Pereko might be the guys that get pushed off this roster
in favor of your Thomas Harleys and Jake Sanderson's,
like how many Olympics later it might be like,
I don't know if Dowdy's on this team.
He's a cuspy for me.
Yeah, well, you know, the crazy part is Jake Sanderson,
he was born in, he's American,
but he could have dual, right?
His parents are dual, but he's, I think he's on the U.S. side,
which is crazy, but like.
Come on home.
I would love him.
I mean, I think,
once you've played though you can't switch well i think you can isn't it delane hudson didn't his dad spout
up yeah he's did some dumb stuff yeah but i don't know if it's true i remember reaching out to somebody i think
i reached out to like Craig button who knows all those international rules and there is like a step ladder
but it's like a lengthy process like a couple years like a couple years and to accomplish what
well to go to the different country i know but if you're because you're you
Basically, what you're accomplishing is trying to send a middle finger to the team that didn't shoot.
Right.
But after watching this Hudson, I've said this too.
He was left off the TSN Top 50 list.
He was not brought to the evaluation camp for Team EOSA.
That'll be the last of that because honestly, this kid's going to be a hell of a player.
He is already right now.
And you know what?
Like to basically slide it over to a flames look.
how are we pronouncing our young defenseman's name is it per rake correct correct
sorry but we're not really great at watch yep I really like this kid like I like
the poise I like he's got a little bit you know I think the legal sort him out with like hey
let's you know that's very confident we're very confident very confident which I don't mind
these young kids now they're not wading into it they're they're stepping
and into it and owning it which is pretty cool but you know i he he looks like he's got everything
like i really and watching calgary play you know whether there's battles in line in in for the
lineups and all of that i think it's in you know in game battles uh for roster spots but you know
i like what i see out of him i think he might have to put some more weight on him
Ret, you might have to spend a month with you.
Ribs.
I'm going the other way.
Leaving out.
You, yeah, I mean, what I'm saying is during the lockout, you put on them, you put it,
you were banked.
Yeah, I was balked up.
I was balked him up.
That's my point.
But I don't know if kids do that.
Like, I know what you're saying.
He probably needs a couple more pounds, but they're all greyhounds now.
There's so many water bugs.
There's no bull dogs.
You're right.
But I think it's through osmos.
It's like it's, it becomes man strength.
Like you'll see him, you know, when he's 24, 25, he might still be lean and tall and all of that.
But there's going to be a different type of strength to him.
That's what I'm talking about.
And I think that just comes with, you know, good summers of working out, nutrition, all of that.
It's not eating a bucket of chicken, bucket of chicken for a month like we did in, in, what was that, whatever it was, 05.
Do you like bors and cheese?
I don't know
Those little pucks of cheese
You might find it on a charcutory board
Of some sort
Kind of a soft cheese
Yes, I'm a cheese guy
I love charcutorries
And my wife's Italian
And we're all around the cheeses
And the meats and stuff
Like there's a charcutory
For everything around my mother-in-law's house
Put it down
Nice
Can I quickly circle back to Quebec City
like, is this a move? Should other teams be looking at this?
Or was this like pissing off Ottawa,
senators, season ticket holders? How did this go over?
And like, were there huge crowds? Was it okay?
Is the city super excited? Like, I think the dream
kind of feels dead with an NHL team there from here.
But what was the vibe? So it's a great question
because as I flew out this morning, the first thing I thought about is that
that situation, that city, that should have an
NHL team. They sold out like the, it was,
the barn was packed last night, packed.
15,000? Yeah. Like,
whatever it is, 18. I don't know.
The building's beautiful.
More than Winnipeg? Yes.
It's bigger in Winnipeg. Yeah, for sure.
But it's beautiful.
Like the rink is top-notch.
Everything was top-notch the facility.
The fans were hanging from the rafters.
Obviously, it's Ottawa, Montreal.
So there was more of a leaning Montreal side,
but there was a lot of Sends fans there.
I don't know if it's pissed off Sends fans as far as them having games there.
but when you have neutral site games
I didn't mind it as a player
they were going in they were golfing they were hanging out
they were enjoying the city
Quebec City I hadn't been there apparently since
they pulled up you know our stats people pulled up
like I won a game like 3-2 there in like March of 95
or something
last time you're there
yeah like that that's really the last time I was in Quebec City
and you know I played a few games against the Nordiques
and then you know when I was in it was called
Bantam back then, Bantam AAA, I played in that
Bono festival or whatever that, that, that, that, that, that, that kibbit or
whatever that tournament is. I can't remember what it was called.
Huge tournament. Yeah, huge tournament there. And so I, I mean,
I've spent time there, but not recently. So the first thing I thought about is,
yes, I know the league is looking at Houston. They're looking at, you know,
Atlanta for a third time, all of that type of stuff. Like, Quebec could be an easy slam duck.
Now, again, I don't know.
the business side. Everything I've heard is there's not a lot of corporate headquarters.
It's like Buffalo.
Yeah. There's not a lot of, you know, I guess that's not a lot of people to buy the sweets and
the big spend the big dollars.
But how does Buffalo survive? Is this Regula right?
Are they?
Well, what's worth?
Well, I don't think it's good there, to be honest. If you really wanted to take into it,
everyone always thinks, well, the value of the franchise is absolutely gone up.
But they're not, I mean, it's a double-edged sword when you're not winning.
and you get 10,000 people to games, obviously,
and then you don't have playoff revenue.
So I think there's a lot of money
that goes out of Pagula's pocket into that organization.
I've got a crazy take on the Sabres
I've been sitting off for three weeks.
I don't think it would be crazy to suggest
that Buffalo could be relocated in the next five or 10 years.
Oh, really?
Well, I don't think they want to have three expansion teams.
I think they want to get back into Arizona.
They've clearly been flirting with Atlanta and Houston.
Yeah.
And look, like Buffalo is not.
making money. The cap is only going to get up.
They're not going to be a cap team.
They're going to be one of the first teams that'll say that's too much for us.
It's not well run.
The fan base has been whittled away.
And there's no corporate dollars.
The fan base isn't whittled away.
The fan base is there.
And I don't mean this.
Well, it is if they win again.
Yes.
You can't go 14 years and create a fan.
Right.
I was waiting for you, Pender, to say something different.
I might be.
I think they can make the playoffs.
I like the roster.
But I also think this team's in big trouble long term.
But financially.
You're right.
The semantics of the team is something different, the business side.
Yeah.
The talent of that team, like I'm telling you right now, they've had lots of like adversity,
lots of weird things happen to them.
I look at them on paper.
They should not be that bad.
They should not, like they've got goaltending, they've got D, they've got guys who can score.
Yes, they've got to sort out what they have internally, you know,
tuck needs a contact.
They're soft as puppy poo.
I understand that.
Like if you...
But the point being right, if I lay their roster,
not talking about what their culture is,
not talking about how many people are in the building,
if I lay their roster to other rosters in the league,
there's not a big drop off.
And so my point being, yes, in Atlanta,
sorry, in the Atlantic,
somebody is going to have to be near the bottom.
I believe Buffalo will be there.
I believe Detroit will be there only because of the quality of competition in the Atlantic.
You know, I think Boston's going to be better just by osmosis.
Swamen's, you know, looks good.
I watch him play the other night.
You got a healthy McAvoy, healthy Hampus Lindholm.
Maybe Elias Lindholm gets going.
Like to me, I don't think Boston's going to be this bottom of the barrel team.
They'll be pushing for a playoff spot.
So who's coming out?
Who's going in?
If Buffalo, Detroit, Boston starts taking, they might not make the playoffs,
but they might start taking points off of other people, right?
So you're not going to see a 120 point team in the Atlantic.
You're going to see 102, 104, 98.
Like I think there's going to be a really jammed up battle.
And like I said before, like both those teams that I watched last night,
like the rebuilds are over.
They're good teams.
And they're just, they're coming.
Like that's the, so they're going to be chasing the Tampa's and the Florida's and the
Toronto's. That division's a nightmare.
Like, so you've got the Tampa who looks like at the at the tail end of contention,
but they're still obviously a very good team. You've got Florida that's been to three
cups in a row. Toronto just lock and load 100 points every year.
Ottawa is coming. Montreal's coming. Boston, it's kind of we're not really sure,
wait and see everything that could go wrong, did go wrong last year. And look,
like Detroit's a talented young roster on its way up. Ottawa, Montreal, Buffalo too.
Like I think part of the problem for Buffalo is their bloody division. I think
through the Pacific, they probably make the playoffs.
Yeah. It's a great, like, it's a great case study.
That's my point. So, you know, we're talking about the business side of Buffalo,
but I'm looking at this, the on-ice product. At some point, maybe, you know,
they come together as a group. I don't know if Lindy can galvanize them.
They've gone through a bunch of coaches. They've gone through a bunch of different things,
but Dahlene's a player. Can Power take the next?
Powers has to step up and start playing like a number one overall pick.
I think it's there.
but it's it. Sometimes you watch and you worry about to compete.
Well, you talk about somebody who looks slight.
Like that, he looks like a slight guy, right?
Like, like tall, very tall, very thin, but maybe again, growing into his body.
And I look at it throughout the league, you know, you've got young players that are pushing for spots.
And, you know, I'm excited for the puck drop here.
These exhibition games have been weird.
It's like one, one home team has addresses.
an NHL team and the road team is
your AHL slash East
Coast League team and that team wins
because they're trying harder because
the home guys are getting
they don't want to get hit they don't want to do anything
so you know it's
it's very interesting in
watching the games nightly to try and get a pulse of like
how good a team can be but
I would argue probably this weekend
you know you're going to be looking at more full rosters
and what things are
going to shape up like here and
and you're trying to stay healthy.
That Barkoff injury, man, that bends a shockwave through the league.
So where are you at on Florida then?
Because Kachuk's going to miss what sounds like half a season.
You know, he's going to want to get back for the Olympics.
Barkov sounds like probably the whole regular season,
whether they rule them up for the playoffs is going to be an interesting decision
because it changes how they can approach the cap.
But we just talk about how good that division is.
Like, do you see a massive stumble or maybe more of just a, okay,
we're a three-four seed, not a one-seat?
I think it's the latter.
The three, four, we're not a one, but they don't care.
I think they care.
You know, I don't think they'd care if they were a wild guard.
What were they last year?
They were three, they were third, but it was, you know, by a nose type of thing.
Like they got.
They're not.
They dropped off near the end of the year.
I remember talking to Paul Maurice near the end of the year in, in Ottawa.
And Ottawa beat them, I think, two won that night or won nothing.
I can't remember because it was Tampa and Florida that Ottawa beat both of them.
And it was crucial games for both of those Florida teams against Toronto chasing for the division lead.
And Moe had said, he goes, we're not there yet.
He said, you know, we're still resting guys still.
Like they weren't a full group yet.
Marchand just, you was trying to settle in.
You know, you had a lot of things.
The one thing I look at at Florida, you know, Barcoff gets injured.
but you still have Bennett and Lundell.
I mean, those are two damn good players.
You know, Rodriguez, I think,
I'll slide into your third center.
Marchand might take a bigger role.
Like, I just, I look at their depth,
but I don't think they care.
I think they're like a machine.
It's next man up.
But if anything,
it just brings them back to the pack
if you believe they were above the pack.
Like, I don't think it washes their year.
They're just too good.
But I do think that makes them human,
maybe as compared to where they had this aura around them,
it's like nobody's beating them again.
Quick thought, I guess,
because I know we're going to get you out of here.
I got a few more minutes.
I just changed something around.
All right.
Just thoughts on the flames.
I mean, we're kind of limping in here.
You get in, like you, we start doing shows,
start of September.
It's like, all right, season's coming.
Hey, a month later.
We've got some preseason split squad.
Okay, this isn't an any show roster.
Wolf played against,
Seattle the other night went the distance look good they win he's why they win uh he's if he's a little bit
better and there are some candidates and we've talked about i guess i'm just curious your thoughts on
what to expect a year ago we had very little in the way of expectation and they finished tied for
the final playoff spot to get in on a tie break there are some players offensively that are you can you can
realistically without squinting too hard see a bit of a bounce back sharon govich frost ferbe there's some guys
that could score more.
Yeah.
What's your vibe here with the flames?
I guess just kind of on a broad sense.
So my vibe is a lot of it stems on the goaltender because if he has what I would call
a market correction, you know, that 96 points looks like 90, 88, you know, type of thing.
Like, but, you know, still a good team, but like going to be battling, battling.
Now, the quality of competition around, there are some teams that I think Calgary is just better
then, you know, either in the Pacific or just in the West, period. So they're fine that way, but I,
I always look and go, okay, is nine, they have 96 last year. Yeah. Can they get to a hundred or is it
look more like 91, 92? So interestingly, the sports books are not, you know, fans and in the
market so close to it like we are. I think 83 and a half is the over under. And that's way off what
they had last year. So, so the, the people that are unemotional about it have this as the market
correction is that the team isn't as good as they were points wise last year. There might not be a
bigger gap between last year's point total and projected points. Then the flames is here. I find
them a really hard team to pick. Yeah. I, I, I still think they get points something with a nine
in it, but I think it's, I don't think it's, I don't think they get to 98, 100. You need,
but keep in mind, you talked about it, uh, boomer, where, you know, guys are,
maybe do for a bounce back, but are any of the guys who had good years last year,
maybe having a career?
Yes.
35 or whatever.
All in.
You know, like guys like that are you, but and then keep in mind.
So that's one thing.
That's one bucket.
The other bucket is the elephant or elephants in the room.
What are you doing with Anderson?
And when you do it?
You know, what are you doing with the Coleman, you know, potentially, all of that.
And not that you have to trade them, but again, they are, there, there might be people.
in play that Connie has to look at the bigger picture.
Obviously, the mandate, if it's from ownership or whatever, internally, they want to win
and they want to make the playoffs and all of that fun stuff.
And everybody starts an even keel.
But you'll start to see 10, 20 games in.
What does this team look like?
Are they looking to add or are they looking to continue to add but maybe with the
subtraction?
you know, if you move Anderson, then you're, you're getting somebody younger and maybe, you know,
picking prospects, that type of stuff, you know, on the fly. But is Anderson off the table? Like,
I know he's saying all the right things, but, you know, is it something where if you guys had your
way, if you had Craig Conroy's job, are you signing Rasmus if he wants to sign an eight-year extension?
We all would have traded them ahead of July 1, I think, is what we would have done. It feels like it's
I don't, you know, I knew we'd get to the flames eventually,
but you watched Ottawa and Montreal last night.
Yeah.
No denying they're coming.
Yes.
Like, no denying it.
None.
Nobody knows what the flames are.
Well, outside.
Here's the thing that that's why.
You're not by this.
The high end.
Okay, you're answering.
But also the reason that they're coming is because of the players that they have drafted high.
Yeah.
They have high end.
skill. This team might be competitive, but it's not a team that you're going to.
One of the questions I was going to ask is, who do you get excited about?
I think Perek is the look and wolf.
Yeah.
And after that, maybe Coronado or Zeri, but yeah, it's not.
But even Coronado, even if he's a 30 goal guy, he's a guy that you really like on your team.
Absolutely awesome.
Not a come out of your seats.
You know what he would be?
He would be core, but support staff core, not your main piece, right?
Not your best winner.
Right. So, you know, you talk about Montreal Canadiens.
Okay, Nick Suzuki took a step last year. We all believe, you know, he's a fantastic player.
And but then, you know, is it Caulfield that's riding shotgun? Is it Slavkovsky?
This Demadop looks like a player. What they're doing is now there's layers to it.
And, you know, all of a sudden, New Hook looks like he might be a player for them, settled in.
Doc, I talked about.
Like there's, and then there's the old guard.
It's Gallagher and you got Josh Anderson and guys like that kicking around there.
So to me, you know, it's these layers.
In Calgary, the people I get excited about, it's in net, obviously, Dustin Wolf.
And you got him locked up.
That's a star.
Perrek, I think has a chance.
But Perak is one or two years away from knowing what we are.
Unless the guy just hits the ground and he has a lane-type of season.
But maybe he doesn't.
Maybe he just is a good, you know, settles in at the NHL level and gets 30 points this year,
which would be a great season, but it takes him two or three years to arrive.
So you're right.
Like there's lots of good players, but is there, we're building around this piece up front
because you do see, I always call it the spine of the team.
You got the goalie, might have the defenseman, we think, and then who's up front that you're building around.
Ottawa and Evanton, I'm sorry, Ottawa and Montreal has that.
you know, Ottawa had to go get the goalie.
They got Allmark.
They've got Sanderson and Shabbat,
and then they've got other pieces around him.
And then up top, you've got Stutzla, Kachuk.
The list is long.
There's all kinds of, yes.
Into cousins.
Like, you look at their center ice position,
if they wanted to be healthy,
and if they wanted to show depth,
they could go Stutzla, 22 years old,
into Dylan Cousins, 24 years old,
into Shane Pinto,
24 years old into Ridley, Greg, 22 years old.
That's if they felt Greg could be your fourth line center.
He's not.
He's a second line winger, if you ask me.
And here we've got two guys over 35 on the top two.
And Frost, who still remains like we're not quite sure what he is and what he's best at.
They just need centers and you can't find top centers anywhere up the top of the draft.
I don't think it's a team that's been built.
Right.
Does that make sense?
Yeah, sure.
It's still a work in progress.
Keep in mind, there's, you know, when Connie took over,
100%.
There was a mishmash of like, we would get old here.
They were trying to go for it on a misconceived notion that they were capable of going for it.
So they tried to throw pieces at it.
And it was, here's 10.5 million for a guy who had 115 points a year before.
And, you know, he's more of an 80 point guy on a good season, right?
Like, Hubertoe, like you're not.
He gets 70 points.
this year.
Awesome.
I'm trying to go.
Yes.
Trying to be optimistic.
Like, you know.
You're understanding of Hubertoe, I think, in Calgary, though.
I think everyone goes, I understand why they did it.
I never wanted him to, but it doesn't matter.
We understand what he is.
We understand he makes too much.
We understand you can't move him.
Please get us 65 to 75.
That's fine.
We know we're overpaying you.
It is what it is.
Yeah, that's fair.
It's just when the sports books got you at 83 and a half,
and we're trying to sit here and say,
how do they get 97?
How do they get 96?
One more points.
Right?
Like even if you're right and it's 90, is that, again,
it all goes back to what are we trying to do?
And if you've got to go, just hang up.
But what I'd like to say, like, I think a lot of it is this is big decision here.
Because Craig Conrad goes, okay,
Rasmus Anderson, you know, we're going to get a King's Ransom for him, hopefully.
And I don't know if that's a young live roster player or if that's too high picks or
combination.
I don't know what the marketplace will be.
That'll be set.
And they've got a lot of time to sort that out.
You know, there's somebody take a flyer on Naz's contract and player.
You know, I know Nazim Kodry is a very good player, very coveted by a lot of teams because
he's won now and he's predictable.
You know what he can bring to the table.
table. So there's another player
that you probably have to make a decision on.
Coleman.
Sorry, who else?
Coleman, two years left. And it's like, look,
we get it. You've been great. You love it here.
Do you want to win a cup? Because if this team
isn't good enough, and Rasmus is gone, you have to
have that chat, don't you? I think you look at
all the veteran guys and you go,
where do they fit? Like Michael
Backland, they know where he fits. Like,
leadership, they like him. He's not
making a ton of money. Extend him.
All of that. I think would, but
I look at the other players, if you make that decision that you are going to get younger,
you're going to try and load up on some assets and allow a pathway for some of the younger
players to push through, then that's where, you know, maybe the 83 to 85 is more realistic
because you've moved.
And again, unless the goalie wins of ESNA and drags them in, you know, that's the other thing.
But again, it becomes the issue, not the solution.
You know what I mean?
It's the problem, not the solution.
The path is picking them.
They're not picking the path, right?
Right, right.
But what you're trying to do is, you know, you've got some pieces and you're still, you know, they've got young guys coming.
It's just, it's that high-end talent.
So the decision has to be made this year.
And I think Connie, like the one thing I've always loved about Connie is he capable.
And he thinks outside the box.
And he's, you know, not shy, you know, to make moves.
It's just a matter of he make the moves that he feels he needs to make,
not what we feel in the media, put it that way.
Okay, very quick.
One word answer.
Who's the backup?
Is it Prosvatov or Kuli?
The Russian.
Thank you.
Yeah.
I go with the Russian.
He's bigger.
I like Kuli as a goalie.
I just,
I think you don't bring a guy from the K back unless you feel like you want to give him
the inside edge.
I don't know.
I think Kooley has played well.
He's played well.
the HL level.
He's got some NHL experience,
but, you know, I just,
I lean more the bigger goalie,
the bigger,
and,
and,
whatever his name is,
props to sops.
POSV.
POSVETOB.
Yeah.
Pop the top.
Blobabab.
Bob.
Yeah.
He's a big dude.
Do you,
so did you have details on this game at La Colise
back from 95?
Like,
did who scored on you?
Do you have any?
One of them,
I got,
I got second star.
Ooh.
and but I lost I lost two one and Joe Sackas scored the game winning goal and they had the video of it and I
looked like Forrest Gump in the net.
I looked like I had the stilts on.
He caught it on the ice into the far corner and I just did like the, yeah, it was, it was back.
We're going to find it.
Hey, listen, it's one of the best risters in the league.
It ate up a lot of guys.
I was, even on the broadcast, I was like, can you just bend your knees a little bit,
McClennon?
Like I looked like I was honestly God,
forced to come from the stilts and net.
And so anyways,
that was a tough one.
That was tough pill to swallow.
But then somebody else got in my ear and said,
you had a three two win against them as well.
So I'll rest my laurels on not that one.
But I will say I feel like I've had two for two great nights out in Quebec City.
Fun town.
There's a dago bear.
So there you.
The dago bear.
That was the name of it.
the bar that yeah multiple levels nice all right we'll let you get ready for your two-hour
radio show exactly hey twice he's mentioned that hard work i just it was a big story this
you're like taking a shot like that's a bad thing like i'm proud of you're right
two hours of gold put it out it's what the cool kids you're out that's what boom tries he tries
He tries to drag this out.
It's only 20 minutes of talking.
Exactly.
All right, guys.
I got to go.
Thanks, pal.
Good one.
There you go.

Let's go.
Get your home ready for winter.
Sleep soundly knowing that Crystal Waters has been in.
and giving it the thumbs up.
Don't do your water filtration system.
Don't do it yourself.
Yeah, let the pros do it.
Let them, let them, let them come to your house and do it either.
That's not a pro.
You know, it's funny that when we talk and it's not breaking,
like not a hot take or anything,
but when we talk about the team and well,
who could it elevate or whatever else,
we don't really, or at least I don't,
really put a lot of thought into,
could Wolf take a backward step?
We're just so used to him leveling up,
leveling up, getting better, getting better, getting looking, do you know what I mean?
Like there's not been any kind of a sag that we've seen in his game almost since he's been on
the flames radar.
Well, you look at his career.
He's just like goalie of the year, goalie of the year.
Yeah, like it's just been a steady goalie of the year.
Calder was his, if not for Lane Hudson's incredible year last year.
But they're goalies.
And I'll tell you what, like if Zane Perrek isn't great in the defensive zone and they move
Rasmus and you get an injury, like the, he won them a lot of.
games last year and would have been a unanimous vote for their MVP on the team.
It might be a tougher environment than the one he worked in last year.
The environment might, I don't think he's, of course, you can go backwards.
I don't think he goes backwards, but even if he plays as good in a tougher environment,
you're going to lose.
Are the results going to, like, and the results being the points at the end of the season, right?
Like, that's where you're basing.
That's the kind of results I'm talking about.
I'm not talking about his save percentage or his goals against.
I'm talking to wins and losses.
And I don't know.
The whole team has to play.
They played above what they were supposed to last year,
and they have to do it again and even more so.
You need all the work ethic and you have to be almost mistake free.
And your goal is going to be better at the other guy.
And it happened a lot last year,
but it's a lot of things that have to go right.
You don't have any deal breakers.
How many times they score four goals last year?
Like one every five games?
That's tough.
And look, they got him for eight years.
This is the last year of his bridge.
The seven-year extension kicks in next year.
And there's probably a really good chance that one of those years is an off year.
We saw Connor Hellebuck go, Vesna finalist three or four years and one in the middle was just bad.
That happens to all goalies.
Swam in yesterday?
Swamen last year.
Like, great goalies do have off years.
So Mark Andre Fleury we talked about all the time.
Last year, Pittsburgh gave three with like an 885 or something gross.
But good goalies have.
fewer off years.
They'll be one in there out of the year.
You're like, yeah, it just wasn't right.
But how you could know it would be this year or not, I have no idea.
The goal.
For me, it still always comes back to, I want to, I want Wolf to have an eight year window
of success.
Of good teams.
You don't see that with this lineup.
Yeah.
They don't have a young star.
Right.
Like all the things that Noodles talks about with those other teams, the up-and-coming teams,
this is a team that's we loved their competitiveness.
We loved their work effort.
It was.
They played for each other.
Surprisingly good last year.
But you just don't see the different.
Wolf can be that, but it can almost be in a bad way.
And it's so easy in a vacuum to say,
oh, just be bad and pick high two years in a row.
And maybe you'll end up with a Verhof or a DuPont or a McKenna or a guy that's going
to be a number one center, but, you know, the team's not a charity.
The team's trying to make as much money as they can.
It's not easy selling tickets if you're, you know, going to be on pace for 75 points.
I understand the conundrum that's happening there.
Like, they understand this is not a contender that's perennial that you can just pencil it,
put in pen in a playoff spot and then has chances to win cups.
But they also are trying to like, okay, well, they're also not that bad.
We don't really have to tear this thing down to the studs.
And that's a tough spot they're in.
them to drop to a DuPont McKenna level,
Wolf has to be out of the line.
Or you get lottery luck,
which again, it's like they've had none.
You can't put your stock into lottery.
You can't, but it's just, that's the only other way it can happen.
I mean, the Islanders finished 11th and picked Schaefer, right?
If you trade Anderson, because the deal's good, and you trade one other guy.
Let's say, Godry, your team's going to be worse, but how much worse?
Are we talking Chicago, San Jose, like, end of the bottom of the barrel worse?
or you're still competitive enough where you're like shit you know what it's hard to say
but if it is nasum that's a center who's scored that's 30 that's 30 goals and you're not just
going you know because i agree with you it's not like you have to play short-handed you're going to
put another person in that spot but they're not coming close to 30 goals is justin kirklin
your third line center now like you know what it's that's not that's not what you want and
if paul rashney was ready sure but they don't have centers that's 100% if you're on team tank
That's absolutely what you dream of, yeah.
Because that is a spot where all of a sudden it's like,
okay, well, maybe we'll just play the backup a little more.
Or even with Rasmus, right?
You're going to move, you'll put another DMAs,
maybe not as dynamic and maybe there's a little bit.
What are you getting in return for Rasmus?
Sorry, jumped on you a little bit because he brings up a good point.
We probably hit on it, but I always forget.
Are we getting a draft pick?
Because if we're getting a draft pick, it's probably a shitty,
it's a later.
It's a later.
It's a later.
So are you getting a young kid that's coming and going to help you right away.
Like that's a bit.
it is thing to consider if it is that first rounder like gridden was the guy they got back for linholm it's
going to take a few years from the time of the trade for a guy that's picked between 25 and 32 to
become a core part if he does if he does if he does and so you got to be great in the draft we know that
it's not you know brain surgery to tell people you got to be good in the draft if you want to build a
contender but it's just going to take time like you're not going to be picking a kid that
steps into this lineup next fall at the draft unless every
thing goes wrong.
It feels like the floor is too high for that, right?
Yeah.
Unless you get some lottery luck finally.
And we've, boy, we have this conversation.
You can eat some money and all that.
And it's, the cap is going up.
And it's, it would seem like now the impossible deal for Nazim
Codry that you could have never.
Totally fine.
It's closer than ever.
It is still four years.
It has to be a team that's hell bent on winning now.
Yeah.
And it's ready to say we don't care about year four,
year three.
It's cup time.
And it happens.
It does.
Yeah.
It happens.
he is better than most contenders
number two centers.
Not all of them,
but like go put him in Colorado,
number two center.
That's a really good team
that won a cup with Nazim.
That's played out.
We know that that can work.
With the guy that really wants to win again.
Yes.
Yeah,
I don't know if Nassim's compete.
I mean,
I mean,
I just mean,
he's going to have sway
on how that organization operates
and he's going to be in that office
going,
what in the F are we doing?
Yeah, if you're bad in December
and it's just going to be like,
there's going to have to be that chat with Coleman and Cadry and hopefully you've got Rasmus dealt with
or you're lining up increasing bids amongst multiple suitors.
Every year it's the same.
We have the same conversation.
It's never about what,
what are they going to add?
What big name,
UFA are they going to get at the deadline?
It's okay,
so for these players,
when they trade them away,
can they eat salary and what can you get and how high is the pick and how good is the player?
And it'd be interesting to be on the other side, wouldn't it?
Yeah.
And I don't know where you'd put the Pelche-Kuznetsov deal in there because it kind of was like lateral in a sense.
But also, you know, you probably realized Pelcher wasn't going to be the guy that you had hoped you drafted in the first round.
But like, I look at Frost and Farabee and I'm still just like, are those just two third line guys?
And now there's just so many bodies that Gridden can't make the team or are these pieces that are going to be flames for five, six, seven years with a competitive?
Are they placeholders or they players?
I don't know yet.
Yeah.
That was one of those trades.
I think you do it again.
You do it again because why not?
It's just that none of them look like core parts yet, neither of them, I should say.
It's not a team that was built in my room.
Yeah, this is the dissembling of someone else's team and trying to assemble young pieces.
And they aren't here yet.
You start to feel it when Wolf's firmly in net and a parrick is on the team.
And again, we don't know, you could build from the back end up.
He's gridden at 19.
is he good enough to make the
he's going to make the team at some point
it may not be this year but he's going to be here
and Coronado is in Zaria
you can start to see how it happens
it's just missing the most difficult
piece to find which is that number one center
star
they got two guys in their mid thirties at the top two centers
invest med
how's your body
how's your organs how's your
cardiovascular how's your lungs your brain
is they're all good
I can be to get a bunch of check engine lights on my liver
but everything else is good.
But do you really know?
I'm about to find out.
Do you really know?
That's where InvestMed comes in.
It is comprehensive, proactive screening with,
I'm going to call them geniuses.
Oh, wow.
Right?
I mean, you've dealt firsthand with these guys.
These guys are brilliant.
Doctors, physicians who, I mean,
they've invested a ton of dough.
They're proudly Canadian-owned and operated.
Comprehensive, proactive screening battery
that can identify individual health risks and support mitigation of potentially life-ending disease
before it starts.
If you're interested in maximizing your health for the long term, you can get this exam done,
review the results with your doctor, maybe there's a serious illness.
Maybe there's something that's in there that you don't feel today that in six months a year,
two years down the road is a big issue.
You can diagnose and you can figure that out today and start working to early detection
and mitigation of serious and potentially life-threatening problems.
And that is why InvestMed is here.
And we have had our, well, you've done more than national screens.
We've had our initial meetings with the doctors.
And I am very interested to find out more.
If there's nothing wrong, you sleep sound.
If there is something going on, they help you.
You're ahead of it.
Figure out the path to good health.
It's not, you don't have to accept where you're at.
That's right.
Look, that's me and Iggy.
I thought that was ready.
Enjoying life in our later years.
My kid wants to get Iggy to come watch a game in Colona with me.
He does, eh?
Yeah.
He texts you back these days or no.
He's up for time.
I think he loves me.
I think Iggy likes me now more than when he played with me.
Really?
Did he not like you then?
Or you love you so much now?
I think you like me then.
But he's like, geez, it goes too hard.
It's a little down.
Good in the room.
Invest dashmed.
not CA is the website.
I find a investment.
Yeah, that's right.
Rails.
He's healthy.
Old eggs, hey?
Is he?
He's getting a great shape.
Probably not a lot of,
his kid,
kind of,
not a lot of late-night poutine in his,
yeah,
I don't think he's,
he's not crushing.
He's not hitting the street meat on Broadway at two of him.
The Borsan.
Probably not eating a puck of boresan.
He came over once I rented a place in Kolon.
Well,
he lived next door.
So he came over and had a beer.
And he brought an apple.
Sounds like me.
I'm like, what? That's not just kind of hungry.
You said apple whiskey. What are you doing here?
Chips? Yeah.
Apple. Oh, hey, Rhett, good to see you.
Good to see. Nothing's changed. That's great.
We'll get to the Pinder report, but I do want to mention the daily faceoff.

We do that for Village Honda.

Get yourself a reliable vehicle.
None better than those at Village Honda.
We had some news and flames on yesterday.
Let's go to flamesnation.ca and see what Pike and the writers are writing.
A boot.
There it is.
Handicaping the Flames roster spots is training camp lines down.
There's just two games remaining.
We showed you the schedule yesterday.
They are both at home.
And they made cuts yesterday.
As noted by Pike in the second article, one practice group.
You had enough where it's just like, okay, we got an extra line, an extra deep pair.
That's about it.
the coaches are happy trust me coaches yeah coach to the day god there was so many guys
yeah there's uh you know who else would be happy deadwood guys like depo in that oh so much gear
all the right extra rooms fans equipment guys yeah the hell out of back to you're tired of
washing your shit you're not making it get out of i think i think i think i i need it i got an
edge on my skate i got a burr get down the hallway
go back to junior son.
Let's take a look at the Flames press release yesterday.
They announced to the, well, we'll do the practice lines first.
That's good.
So as noted, one group, there's your fifth line right now,
Lombard, Kirkland, Clapka.
Interestingly, Gridden playing with Backlin and Coleman,
and Karen's centering a line with Pops Salon Zeri.
That's an unusual combination.
We'll see how much of these changes we head towards these two games.
We are going to see something very close to NHL rosters from both the Flames
and they're visiting opponents the last two games.
No Mira Manov at practice, it appears.
There are 9D left, so Miro, where art thou?
Okay, every time.
Nine.
Well, and there's no wolf there.
I mean, there was, but Miro, yeah, for sure, it'd be a huge blow.
So with, do we feel like Hanley Uyger?
Is that going to be a pair?
It was for two-thirds of last year.
I'd love to see Perak there, but maybe not to start.
I get it.
I would put Perak, great thing.
And because Perak, they've got them on his offside with Pahal.
it's like okay maybe prex very comfortable on his offside but weger spent more time on the left
than a right in his career uh given his first year at calgary and then obviously all that time on the left
side of ecblood he can actually i don't care what you do i think the decor like i said the gold
tending and the decor is fine okay that's today however you want okay i just get a these stupid forwards
come on iggy get some forwards in here hear me is that is put down the apple and pick up your phone
get us got that balls in here hey i i
apple eater.
I wonder if it was a Mac or a Honeycrisp?
What's your favorite?
Is it a gala?
Oh,
Gallet's good.
I think the honey crisp is the Cadillac.
It's really good.
Or for this segment, it would be, it's the
passport, the pilot
of the Apple community.
Well done there.
Very smooth.
Let's go to the Flames press release.
Where did they send everyone?
What are they doing?
Well, they got to get bodies down in the American League.
That camp's underway.
Bristevich.
I want Bristevich to.
play. Come on. Khrushnikov, Hansik, Owensay,
William Stromgren, Idaersuniev. You're all
Wranglerinos. You get to go to Calgary and you'll play
out of the saddle down. Okay. I'll say this.
So you're poor, I think Hunter Bristewicz is going to be a solid
flames defenseman for a lot of time. It's going to be a 10 year
flames. You might be there by Spring Boys, especially if you're moving
out, right shot Anderson. I just think there's, again, it's, you know,
is your, are you geocashed out from watching a game and see?
It's limited viewings, but it's just, it's little things.
He's not trying to be flashy.
Like there's Perrick, you can't miss him.
Right.
He's everywhere.
He's flipping backhand sauces and he's all over the place.
And when the trade was made with Vancouver, it's like, look at the points.
This guy's getting in the OHL.
Holy, this is this guy's a point.
I don't think that's his story.
I think he's just a solid defenseman.
Good buck mover.
And I do, I think sooner than later.
He's still just a kid.
Quietly excellent
A HL season when you look at his age
and the point totals put up.
And again, to your point,
not going to be a point producer in the NHL,
but I think a guy that, you know,
at worst it feels like a third pair,
maybe he's a second pair right side guy.
That'd be nice.
Sneaky?
I think so.
Not for me.
No, I'm pretty sure my old good partner,
McKee coached him.
That's why he's going to be good.
Also waivers were needed for Clark Bishop,
Dryden Hunt, Yon, Kuznetsov,
and Hank Horton, Sam Morton.
Yeah.
Too slow.
Come on, man.
I don't know if I haven't.
Oh, I was just waiting for it.
It's pretty weird to have some really.
We didn't see a whole.
Yeah, sure.
I mean,
he didn't play a ton.
It's pretty fringy, but, you know.
No,
I've got great news about preseason.
Thanks.
Somebody in Winnipeg, a beat reporter,
alerted us to this last 24 hours on Twitter.
There's still beat reporters?
Um,
it will end.
So guys,
it's only getting better.
Thank you, Connor.
Appreciate that.
Rodder.
Crab check.
Crab check.
Crap.
Would that be Ukrainian?
Yeah, it feels.
Shake,
check.
There'd be chocks and chucks for sure out there.
It's true.
And it can end quickly.
Two more games.
They'll open the season next Wednesday in Edmonton.
Two games in two nights are Vancouver on the Thursday.
What's supposed to go to a game?
Is it tonight they play here?
Yeah.
That just pop up in your head?
Is it tonight?
They play here.
What are you supposed to do there?
There's a AGM or some sort of meeting of the alumni or so.
Oh, I see.
Yeah, we're very business.
Yeah.
Is that right?
Well, if there's one thing they could count on, it's you remembering about midday.
Texting and asked what's on the.
Yeah.
Do you have that melted cheese cauldron?
Because I like putting salsa right in that.
I can't wait to hear all about it tomorrow because there's no, because obviously you're going.
I don't know if I can make it.
Ah, there's no doubt in my mind.
Trader signing.
What do you want for?
first.
You're at NHL News today.
Well,
both are wonderful things to.
Let's start with the trade.
The Emmington Oilers promise changes in net and then brought the same two goalies back.
But now I've added a third.
So many Conner Engron.
So many Conners.
Who will start in Bakersfield, I believe it's already cleared waivers.
They don't have to do any of that nonsense.
So again, another option to be the backup.
Again, just missing the starter guys.
Utah retaining.
just under half.
B. Ash up, I've,
with a 1.95 million, he's slid to make
a mammote, now an oiler.
Future considerations.
FC.
More exciting news
in Jersey
where the hometown boy Luke Hughes
has finally ended his
well, I guess the contract's tailmate.
He needed a deal for this year. He's an RFA
and he is inking
what I believe to be a
seven times nine
for a player that they are projecting
to be a number one
defenseman in the league. He's not that now.
And again, with the cap skyrocketing
over the next, you know,
remember when Sanjson
signed that deal and you're like, oh, my God,
he's played 60 games, whatever it was he's going to make.
Now he's so underpaid.
Yeah.
That's quite impressive.
Quite impressive.
Yeah.
So Hughes, they've got two of them locked in,
Dean.
One more to collect them.
One more to have the whole.
set two years left on quins deal in vancouver and that must not be awkward at all for you like your brothers
that much oh you don't have he doesn't like yours i july i don't know that he likes me but yeah but like
would you want to be on the same team and he's not striving towards the same goals i'd take him in tennis
he's a good tennis player tennis is so because it does seem like brothers there's been there's been an affinity
to play with one another we saw it with the neatermires we've seen it with the hamiltons we've seen it
a number.
Didn't the berets do it in Florida?
Sure.
Yeah.
Weird.
Sutter's played together for sure, but there was about, there was too many.
I don't think.
Yeah, they couldn't avoid one another.
One of his coach and he's there.
This guy's the captain.
I'm not sure they want it to play.
Pumping into each other in the hallway, Sutter's everywhere.
Yeah.
So, because you've, you're on record that if.
Oh, yeah.
My brother's a duster.
There's no chance.
Could have a skill gap between you and him.
Would he get the good looks and you get the athletic?
Well,
move on jack let's do it playoff baseball is the best and so let's get to some of the best of yashley
will start in the morning game where terrick scubel was insane no chance if i did i'd fall backwards
i've done one like that in the jasper park lodge lobby i'm not sure i like the view here but it's
an impressive leg kick yeah there's a lot of power just check the undercarriage my hip
would log right there too like i'd maybe get it up there but it would go click and then i just fall over
with my knee up by my chin.
Like, well, just put your leg down.
I can't.
It's stuck.
I'm toast here.
That is a 2-1 final and the 14Ks from Scoobel.
Crucial.
Best game of his career in a big spot.
That's pretty legit.
In today's baseball, where you just say, get to the bullpen early, eat 4 or 5.
Yeah, you got to get to the bullpen as soon as you can.
Don't worry about how the starters perform.
I'll get to that.
So Detroit, the road team favored to win the series, take game one.
second game of the day.
It was at Wrigley on a beautiful sunny day in Chicago,
and they did these things in back-to-back,
played appearances.
Back-to-back.
That'd be fun, huh?
Yeah, it's amazing.
I have been.
To be in the outfield at Wrigley yesterday
would have been absolutely sensational.
To be at-rugly yesterday would have been at-well.
They beat the dads, three-to-one.
Padres falling game one, game two,
for all these series, we'll go together.
this late in a moment. The afternoon
slash evening game was exceptional.
It was the Red Sox in New York.
One of the greatest rivalries in the sport,
if not the, and it was
Yankees with a one-nothing lead before the Red Sox
finally got to the bullpen dine.
As you were irate, they pulled Max Fried at 102 pitches.
And then it was bases loaded with no outs for the
Yankees, bottom nine. Sack fly,
Giancarlo, that would get this game within one.
Nope. That's one.
out.
Jazz.
There's two.
Now you could tag and come home here.
You can tag and come home here.
Make them make a play.
Like the throw is way off line.
Over the mound.
God,
it's two out.
And there's three.
Chapman got the final four outs.
The rest was Garrett Crochet.
It was excellent.
I thought he was a Yankee.
Yeah, he was for a long time.
He's been throwing 100 miles an hour for 50 years.
Crazy.
3-1, your final.
Boston takes game one.
This series is going to be a doozy.
And, uh, again,
They'll get right back out.
It's a night game.
It was not close.
It was a laugh for early.
Otani hit the first at pitch of the game.
Excuse me,
his first that bad at the game hit it over the wall.
And then later in the game,
twice as nice,
right?
He said because that was feeling good.
Smash.
That feels good.
Look out.
This may leave the park.
Wow.
454 feet.
Oh, a monster blast.
He had two.
Teoska Hernandez.
Teoscar Hernandez.
He had two as well.
Well, he had,
yeah,
he had himself.
He was a spous home.
That's a good day at the office.
That put the Dodgers up.
Six Begill.
It was a little closer at the end, but not really close.
They destroy the Reds.
They're the heavy favorites of all four Wild Card Series.
No one favored more than the Dodgers to move on.
Here are what we're looking at for the games today.
Again, quadruple header.
We like this, right?
Yes.
No matter what you're doing, there's a baseball game on today.
Schedule today, Jackie.
Detroit, Cleveland.
There it is.
11.08, it's already underway. We have any scoring there?
I'll take a look. You keep going.
Casey Mize on the bump for the Tigers.
I got him in my bet 365 bets. Too late. He's already started.
Sorry, fellas. I should have got to that sooner.
It'll be the Padres in Chicago. That one at 108, then at 408.
Then at 408, again, Red Sox Yankees. It's Rodon against Bayo.
And then the night game, Zach Little against Yamamoto for the Dodgers.
That is a 708 mountain time start. Game 2 is across the board.
Love Bay. Baseball playoffs, playoffs, baseball.
right so all the above one nothing guardians at the end of the first okay now here's the thing the blue jays
will play the winner of this wild card between the yankees and the red socks depending who they play

Happy hour specials until 6 p.m.
If it's Boston advancing, we're going to go ahead and have that watch party on Sunday at 208.
We'll keep you in the loop as this series concludes, but depending on who they play,
changes the start times and what day we'll have a watch party at Greta because it's not open to 11 a.
Jack, which day?
Who do you want to watch?
The Yankees.
That would be Saturday at 208.
That's perfect.
And if you want Boston, Sunday at 208.
Either way, we'll see it, Grette on the weekend.
Start snowing.
No.
what I'm talking about
I like it when I don't feel bad
about being outside.
Did it look like it was snowing at Dodger Stadium?
No, I was regularly
It looked very nice.
Slow cooking and couch time and
Oh, it's chilly outside.
Just do it.
I got that leaf plur.
I can blow the snow.
Go hop in the lake for a bit and then come in
and you're frigging.
What if I just close the blinds?
Maybe that'll.
Also crack some windows open.
You'll be chilly in no time.
You'll be chilly in no time.
You get one of those street painters.
to do this.
All right.
Don't snow.
Okay.
Don't snow.
Never mind.
We're done.
Let's go to the NFL.
We have a new starting quarterback in Cleveland,
which means this guy's got to change his jacket.
Is there Sanders?
I know.
He's still a third stringer.
Oh.
Wow.
Need a bigger jacket.
So good.
There's a lot there.
Jesus.
It felt like Manzell wasn't that long ago, but oh, yeah, there's been a lot.
All of it.
Holy.
P.J. Walker, Dorsey, Davis, Flacco, Quinn.
Gregory Quinn in there.
Driscoll, Kessler.
Zappi.
I like when there's
sometimes twice.
Twice is nice, yeah.
I know they got
Flacco twice,
right?
He's been benched.
It'll be
Gabriel.
What tells us
about the young
rookie quarterback?
I have no idea
about Dylan Gabriel.
I want to see Sanders.
I think you will.
I don't know that he's
Yeah,
I want to see it.
It's a matter of time.
I don't know
to be a little bit of
that will be entertaining
to say the least.
He likes couch the most
I'm thinking,
I goosh.
That's a tough franchise.
And on there,
actually,
Baker Mayfield.
good quarterback.
Good quarterback.
There's a few in there that they've discarded.
Throw them scrappy.
Not a ton.
Not many.
There's Bethel Thompson somewhere in there, the law firm.
Yeah, no good.
Okay, we'll move to CFL, stampeters.
They're back at it at BC this weekend.
Five o'clock at BC Place.
Lions got them good.
Last we saw, they owe a little revenge here, Dino.
Come up.
Time to get back on track, stamps.
You made that move to out of D-Linman.
Get them back on track.
Why is it important?
We'll have a look at the standings.
The DERS.
lost in Shelbyville
this weekend. So they're not
adding any distance at the top, but
look behind. The rearview mirrors getting crowded. The
bombers and lions, a game back,
half game back of the stamps. Game in hand.
This is way too tight.
Stamps have a game in hand. Go ahead and win that,
fellas. That'd be a good move. Yeah, that's a good move.
If you want to win your game in hand, good on you.
We'd love to host a playoff game at
McMahon. Jack and I happy to roll at the red carpet.
They'll be guaranteed win night. That's right.
Anytime Jack and I go, they win.
Jack, I got to go down on the field.
We'll see you later.
That's right.
I got to go talk to Dave.
Jack, I got to go chat with the commissioner.
Just told my beer for a bit here.
Let's keep moving, shall we?
Finally, I saw this and I thought of you, fellas.
And maybe that's me maturing or maybe it's just so on the nose that we can't miss it.
It looks like something that our pal Sterling would be out in in Strathmore.
But let's get a little closer here.
Look at this barbecue set up with Brett.
Goodness.
I don't think I've ever seen this.
I don't think I have any later.
I needed you to see this, and I hope you approve.
Is it over the coals long enough, though?
Please keep it rolling.
It just takes a little longer.
Oh, wow.
These guys are winners.
Does it have reflective heat?
Because, yeah, they've got it.
It's looking like it's cooking nicely.
I've got to be honest.
What are they got on there?
That looks like a lot of chicken.
Oh, baby.
What Greg would like that up at Bonton, wouldn't he?
Has he got one of these?
Combines?
Not yet.
That's a combine, right?
I can get you combine.
I don't have a combine.
I need that barbecue.
We'll call Will.
Oh, delicious.
What about a leaf blower?
Can you get a guy?
I've got a leaf flower.
I just don't have the leaves that would necessitate a leaf floor.
What am I going to do with a gun rack?
Back to you, Dean.
That's your paid to report for Village Honda.
Our good friends in the Northwest Auto Mall and online at VillageHonda.com,
your dealership for life.
And yes, we will get winter in Calgary, which means get yourself a reliable Honda,
maybe the CRV, perfect for the Calgary winters.
Now, we kind of remembered part way through that there's,
is a game tonight.
Yeah.
Did we talk about it?
No.
We're really out on this preseason.
When I build the Pender Report, I'm usually like, so boom, we'll talk about what.
And then I'll get into the, we didn't.
Yeah, this is on you.
Yeah.
It's on all of us.
Okay.
I didn't know.
We were talking about the lines a lot, but we didn't talk about a game tonight.
We talked flames lots with Noodler.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But we haven't really talked about.
Who do they play?
Yeah, I don't know.
Tough one.
Is it Seattle again?
Jack?
No.
Vancouver?
It's the Vancouver.
And then they close with the Winnipeg on Friday, Jack?
Read the image yesterday.
That I don't know.
At home?
Making this look easier.
Yeah, we're terrible.
I feel like this is a bit of a knock on our credibility.
Preseason, like I said.
I don't know if it's a knock on our credibility.
Clearly our focus is.
Huge development.
The preseason will end.
It's Vancouver tonight.
Saturday, Winnipeg.
Nailed it.
7 o'clock.
At the dome.
Come and say hi to rest.
We're going to see most of the team tonight then, obviously.
Just by virtue of the number of cuts made.
There's only three extra forwards, three extra D and one extra goalie.
You're going to see a lot of the real team tonight.
There you go.
God bless.
More gridden, please.
Let's go.
We'll have a full synopsis on tomorrow's show.
You don't want to a post game show tonight?
Playoff baseball.
No chance.
Gotcha.
I should see at the dome.
You'll be signed bras and children's foreheads and things like that.
Just kibbets in amongst ourselves.
All right, sure.
It's going to be great.
The hearing loss clinic, locally owned an operation.
Operated hearing loss.ca is the website.
I know I'm due to go back in, and I'm betting.
Just betting. Maybe you are too.
Travis and Sabrina Rhodes, great Calgarians.
They started with one little wee clinic.
Just a little wee, just a little wee guy.
Look how cute to this.
There's five in the city.
There's five more in BC.
They are the very best at what they do.
People of all ages can suffer from hearing loss.
Just kind of thing, when you're an old, if you're old, you lose, you got to wear hearing aids.
It's not the way it is.
People from all ages.
Kids in a lot of times, we don't really think about it at all.
You give them maybe you test your kid when they're a baby.
How's your hearing?
It looks like it's good.
And then you're just done for the rest of their life.
That's shoddy parenting.
Meanwhile,
you're going to check for glasses if you need glasses.
You're taking them to dentist all the time, right?
You're doing all these sorts of things.
And studies show that health risks like dementia, depression,
and other things have been linked to untreated hearing loss.
And you know what, Pinder, I'm taking you.
That's my time to go.
It is time.
I'm due for another checking.
I know.
It's time.
I've gone, red and I we've.
Let's, uh, what's your problem?
What are we eating on the way?
Let's make this a row.
You don't like food.
I don't like food.
You don't like food.
I wouldn't consider you a foodie.
You're not a foodie.
I eat food, but I'm not terribly picky.
But it's okay.
I mean, we can't eat if you'd like.
Have some bird seed and stuff.
It'd be delicious.
Kinoa Salas.
That's right.
Five hearing loss locations in Calgary and five more in BC.
There you go.
Helping you hear better is simply their way of helping you live better.
I texted Travis the other day because they, you know,
they're always given back.
They got prizes and stuff.
Contest at the yinger.
I wonder if we might have a couple of those.
Really?
Maybe.
Just maybe, maybe, maybe.
Were you texting because you wanted a product?
No, no.
Oh, no.
Hey, Travis, I need a jersey.
Are you giving away to customers?
Just take one of those four that we gave you last year that you didn't give away and are hanging in your closet.
You smell anything?
I sure do.
Someone brought some food.
Something over there that kind of got me distracted.
So I wanted to make sure that we were all going to be here today and, you know, our friends.
from Crystal Waters.
We're like...
Oh, maybe.
We know Rhett kind of doesn't eat some days.
It seems to change, like Mondays or Tuesdays or Wednesdays.
He's not eating.
You bring in sweets or whatever.
I don't eat sweets.
Where are you on, like, fried chicken?
Oh, I'll crush it.
Are you all right with...
I'm a master.
You are, yeah.
It's the king of the bucket.
You figured you might eat.
Is that fried chicken on me?
So, yeah.
Made your day.
Look at this, ma'am.
Made you day.
I hope it snows because I could eat that and go home, go to bed.
Talk about garage heaters.
Up day, yeah.
Put the baseball on.
Oh, oh, yeah.
Maybe fire up the furnace.
So there you go.
Crystal Waters, plumbing and heating back for another year is our insider hotline sponsor.
We will have Drager on Friday.
He can't do next Friday.
There's something going on.
What?
I don't.
I don't.
I don't.
But we're going to dust off drags and prop them up and get them in front of the camera.
That's right.
We'll get them already.
We didn't hear about his summer.
He knew that went to Italy.
He probably went back to Manitoba and got some fish.
You know, it's much the same.
Very much the same.
So yeah, Dregs will join us on the Friday edition of the program.
We'll take a look at our bets.
Let's do it.
Bet 365, get in the game.
19 or older.
Whatever your bet is, it's never ordinary yet.
Bet 365.
And, of course, with today is Wednesday.
So tomorrow there's football.
There's the weekend ahead.
and we talked briefly about that yesterday.
There's already some lines that are maybe intriguing.
Here's what we got today.
Yeah, now this game is already underway,
but you can live bet, obviously.
So don't be fooled.
If you miss the start time,
there's still lots of action on Bet365.
I like Mize on the strikeouts.
He's hit eight in three of his last four starts.
Six was paying plus one, 45.
We'll check in see how he's doing.
He's got zero.
Okay, well, maybe I saved you.
One inning, though, that's all right.
And Freddie Freeman tonight,
he's hit home runs in three of them in his last four games.
A bomb plays, pays plus,
390. It has been a bit of a home run
fest. We saw four last night, but just
to Oscar and Otani alone.
Freddie Freeman, the pseudo-Canadian. If he gets
done on the act, that's a large number.
Why pseudo?
I think his mom's Canadian. So he plays for Canada
at the WBC.
Nice. Good boy. It's kind of one of those things where
the honors his mom by point of Canada. If Sanderson wants to be
like Freddie Freeman.
Has he not been playing for Canada internationally
for a while? Not sure.
He played at the NTDP.
He doesn't mean anything. Correct. It's more of the
And like we're juniors.
Well, there's one thing I know about some people with their two passports.
They cannot be trusted.
Just don't let them expire, Jake.
Talk to Jack.
I got my pictures taken.
Can we get an update here?
Is this getting a little too nervous for show content?
Some guy actually DM me yesterday.
Gave you some pointers?
Yeah, he said I'm fine with just the Canadian passport.
Well, there you.
Well, there you go.
Some guy.
He said he hasn't renewed in four years.
Well, just tell that to the border agent.
Oh, okay.
Well, if some guy told you, then there you go.
Walk right through.
Yeah, but that guy said.
which yeah i don't think there's anything more you need to do jack definitely just ride that
if i miss the plane he'll be getting a call whoever he is and whatever his phone number might be
hey buddy who dm'd me you screwed me a stranger i've never met that i'm taking advice to heart screw you
you setters of calgary here you go rnb back in 279 rass was to florida retained 50% for a first in
2028 and a second in
2026 because they don't have a lot of first.
That's their next available first, I believe.
I don't mind the return.
You do have to wait a while.
It's kind of what they did with Hanofin.
They took an unprotected first way down the road.
That's this year for Vegas.
It is this year.
Yeah.
They actually look good.
That's too bad.
Shoot.
It's hard to say, Ryan.
Never know.
Yeah, you just never know.
Mitch Marner didn't help though.
Damn it.
So sure.
I don't like, I don't like waiting that long.
You get the second now.
Could you throw me a prospect too?
They don't have many.
You don't have to keep.
them you can also trade these things for other the other thing and the other thing is by 2028 what
of the Florida panthers like there's a that can be a very accurate it's kind of what we're saying about

Yeah, but it's not at once.
So, okay, so on Saturday, I'll have whatever I feel like, pizza or steak.
And then on Sunday, I'll have whatever I feel like pizza or steak.
I don't know that we help Johnny G.
I feel bad for Johnny.
Just make it move off.
Go, Johnny.
Yeah.
Like that's clear.
See it, Greta on the weekend, Johnny.
I think that's clear.
All right.
And I do need to.
The important things.
That means push the button so we can move the bag over there.
What were you going to say?
You need to make a clarification.
Anderson to play for the U.S.
internationally for a while.
I've been saying the opposite.
I'm completely out to lunch on this.
He played at the four nations for the U.S.
Right.
I don't know.
It was a spring bank boy.
Spring break rocky.
Trader.
Born in whitefish.
Duly.
Tough.
It's like Jack.
Yeah.
He's born whitefish.
Must be,
uh,
must be a summer birthday.
Bust it.
That's where the family hangs out in the summer.
Jeff.
Jeff's great.
Jeff.
In the summer.
Good skater that, Jeff.
He could wheel around.
He could skate.
to shoot 30 in Hartford.
You kidding me?
Great Hartford, Whaleale.
Castles and Sanderson.
Yeah.
He was awesome.
The best myths ever.
Double Zs early.
I gave him the best pass ever.
I told you this.
Really?
Best ever.
You're losing to Boston in round two,
1999 playoffs.
Game two,
because we went out and got drunk.
And we were down a goal
and Sandy goes,
I'm sprinting.
Face off an RN.
I'm sprinting out to center.
Hit me right at the dot.
And I happened to do it.
which is incredible beyond my capabilities.
Were you aiming at there or did he was a fluky?
Went off a leg.
You hung over?
I don't know how he picked it up.
Yeah, yeah.
Get one of those stanchions and came right.
And then what happened?
Then dummy didn't even score.
Oh, Jeff.
Come on, Jeff.
Smart not.
Chef.
I did my part.
You know what, though?
It's a great story.
Great.
Best past ever.
See you, buddies.
