T-G-G-I-F, you know what I mean?
Yeah, I love Thursday.
Boy meets the world, let's go.
Man, it's, what a week.
What a halacious week.
They are the best.
Lacious.
Just a halacious week.
Taco Thursday.
Yeah, yeah, man.
We made it, though.
We're here.
It's Friday.
And you guys were drinking all week.
No, just like the last 12th.
I just kind of a little bit yesterday.
I'm drunk right now.
I called Jack last night.
I got a call at 201.
AM after I got put in an absolute blender for the entire night.
What?
Hey, Jack.
How you do?
I feel like we're shy on details.
Yeah.
So back it up, Jack.
How much of the story?
How did your night start?
The penguins won.
So we must have been.
Penguins.
Huge comeback victory.
Huge comeback victory.
Jack's going to go and celebrate with a hot date.
And then.
No, no, we don't need to.
No, we don't need to go there.
I don't want to.
Let's just talk about you.
This is about you.
calling me i feel like we need to start the show all over again you can yada yada yada yada hot date okay so
like really let's let's strip it to that what start from the family we're in the trust tree jack
got boots on the ground okay i did watch the bit of the hockey game where at my house which
how was that penguins of the flame no i don't watch the flame i don't watch the flames okay and then i went
out and I was enjoying myself. We don't need to get into too much details. You went out. Yes.
So your deck? I left my house to the backyard where you leave the bags of garbage that you can't walk
the other 20 paces to the garbage can. It's a long way. It's right. It's winter. Long way. So you go to a
pub. So cold. Yes. Sure. A long. An establishment. And then I get a call that the afterburner,
they're live, but there's no audio. Hey, Jack, good work on after.
your burner last night. It's not your problem.
So being the big boss that I am,
I say, yeah, I got to go.
There's an issue going on.
Was she upset that you had to leave?
She broke up, she'd cry.
She was all right.
She got over.
Don't interrupt the stories.
Sorry, Jack. Keep going.
So I had to leave and help out.
So you came here?
No, I didn't come here. I made some phone calls.
We figured it out.
They had to show. Everything went fine.
Um, do I want to get into the next part of the story? Not really. Let's go to the part where Ryan calls me.
I don't want. I went. I watched some of the game. I made a phone call and you can give us some details. I don't know. I don't really want to know. I tell like he's working on his degree. So did you meet someone the person you bet in the first place again? No. Okay. All right. So then.
TGIF, but you didn't go home?
I went home, yes.
Eventually.
This is hurting the, sorry people.
I mean,
okay, he's dying laughing inside and he's stumbling like a fool.
Jack produces, he doesn't talk.
You're part of the team, Jack.
I know.
Come on, Jack.
No, I'm just going to walk myself into trouble.
Just get on with something.
We're now just sitting here.
Anyways, I was dead asleep at 201 a.m.
I get a call from Ryan.
2.01 a.m.
Yes.
That's when boom wakes up.
Yeah.
So he showers.
And Ryan calls me absolutely blasted.
I don't even know what he wants.
Like,
I've had a long night.
I'm sleeping at this point.
And he tells me he's at the ship.
I don't like,
why did you call me?
Well,
I had a buddy.
He's a big fan of Jacks.
He's a huge fan of Jacks.
He's about to have a
first kid and we were celebrating we were sharing tales and regaling this guy no jack loves jack
he knows jack he's a huge jack he's a huge jack doesn't know jack doesn't know jack i i don't even
remember the coverage this shit but right are you answering why the hell's he called me i thought
like he's dying or something well it's too late what are you going to do to i'm a good friend
i what if he needed me he's a good friend well they are a better friend
What was the purpose of the call just to say hi?
I have no idea.
I just thought maybe he was out and about.
Because he was on a hot date.
Yeah.
Cut her short.
Yeah.
He wasn't out and about.
He was staying.
He's sleeping in here.
Huh.
Anyway,
thanks for being a good friend, Jack.
You're welcome.
Thursday.
So thirsty.
So did you go and meet up with donkey or did you just hang up?
No, I just, yeah, I wouldn't do it too.
Just bad.
It would actually make the story better.
There's clearly lives being had here that we,
don't we don't know about looking at me or jack did you jack i know what you're all about yeah thank
you oh pinter was drunk at 2 a m yeah thursday yeah thursday tuesday any day ends in why
that's the end of the story jack um no but back to you this is the longest worst story
it's a good story but i'm not telling it on air which makes it the worst story on there okay
So there's more to the story that makes it actually good because to this point,
it's not a very good story.
I don't kiss and tell, Dean.
Like Ryan's laughing.
There's nothing funny about the story.
No, yeah, you wouldn't.
You were out and then had to help with audio.
Then you went home and went to sleep.
Correct.
And then Ryan called him.
There's nothing there's a horrible story.
Yeah.
And Pinder's drunk.
Again, I feel like I need to get drunk just to hear this to make it interesting.
Maybe if we were drunk, it'd be better.
Yeah.
Sometimes that happened.
I know.
Only we have some years.
Thanks, Sergeant.
Friday's one.
It's not a, it's not a, it's not a, it's not a flames dame.
So we can't get her helmet's on, I know.
I wish I had because I feel like I've been beat about the head with stupidity.
Yeah, you got some CTE today just from that story.
That was bad.

Download the app, whatever the moment, it's never ordinary at bet, 365.
And throughout the course,
of the show.
Not the super chat and what is it super chat?
Well, I just put a little money down into the chat.
Your comment will get shown on the show and we'll take the money and hand it over to the youth centers of Calgary.
I feel for all handsome Dan because, you know, Wolf was in that last night.
I did something last night.
I went to the Cowboys Casino with Corey Serich.
We actually had a great conversation.
Dean, you know, Corey.
I do know.
Wonderful human being.
We talk to kids and family and old stories and kibbitts about the Sabres.
we laughed about Rob Bray.
Yep.
We might do all decamp.
Like we actually, it was great.
Yeah, things are happening.
See, Jack, that's a story with some.
Tell it again.
There's at least something there.
Yeah.
Yeah.
He's hanging out with a cup champ.
Okay.
Let's, no.
I know it's not a good story.
Dig up, stupid.
Just shut your mic off.
You're cut off.
Get outside.
Surprise.
Friday is Hawaiian shirt day.
So, you know, if you want to go ahead and wear a Hawaiian shirt and jeans.
Stand up, Jack.
Jack is actually wearing.
He's wearing a moo.
Look at this.
This is the 4X shirt.
That is a big shirt.
You can grow into that, Jack.
I can see it happen.
Please don't.
Yeah, let me do bad.
It would be a lot.
Flames last night.
There was a Flames game.
It's kind of the same story that Jack just told.
I feel like the pregame talk that we had on Tuesday.
could have gone before because that's the game we were kind of prepared for against the Washington capitals on Tuesday, not what we got.
And to be fair, we did pump the tires of the lightning.
Sure, we did.
Yeah, yeah.
But I think maybe what it was is, well, the flames.
Hey, they can play with.
Obviously, they could play against the top team in the NHL.
Did that with Lajal?
Now they're getting Wolf in there.
I mean, oh, that's just a chance.
Wolfens.
So how many more saves did you need for them to win?
Oh, they didn't score.
Yeah, it's to be.
I was going to say, I don't know.
That's a tough.
Not a wolf thing, for sure.
It's one of those chicken before the egg question.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It was kind of like watching, I was, I was thinking just, like you say, offense.
And it just seemed so futile as the shots are coming from the point and from the sideboards.
And say, what do they say?
It's like he's picking cherries, Don Cherry used to say.
It was kind of like when you're, I was like, this is like when you're trying to pick up that girl or whatever.
And you have no hope.
Pay attention, Jack.
Say, hey, so you ever, like, go to movies?
Oh, you don't like movies.
Okay.
You read books.
Do I read books?
No, I don't read books.
Like music?
No, you don't like music.
What kind of, we can go off for dinner maybe sometime.
Oh, you're vegetarian and a vegan.
Oh, that's probably not going to.
Okay.
This is never going to happen, is it?
It's like, no, this is not going to work.
That was the flame scoring.
That was last night's game.
Ooh.
They try.
And again, like, the effort's great.
The structure is sound.
The goalie was good.
There's some softest puppy poo player.
So I'm sorry.
I'm scrum at the end of the night.
Kevin Ball,
grab that guy,
beat him out.
I don't care if you're a nice guy.
Get your gloves off so you can at least hang on to it.
I was going to say,
can I ask what's the protocol there?
Because it asked what.
Corey Sarch was losing.
Do you get penalties if your gloves come off?
Because I'm just thinking,
and I've not played in the NHL.
What?
But if I'm in a scrum there and I'm trying to,
I need to get my gloves.
off so I can grab guys and pull the
hang on to you and protect myself?
If I've got one of my teammates is on the ice
and somebody's on top, I'm going to try
and get that guy off, but I've got these, I've got
my stick in one hand and a glove and I'm trying
to.
Heavy and cumbersome these gloves.
I mean, that's just one part of what
was frustrating about last night. But I did wonder
if you, I wouldn't have changed Yon, but I do
if you take your gloves off, are you thrown in the box? Is that
it's not, it's maybe, but I don't care.
It's the end of the game. And
again, it's a safety thing.
maybe they're scared of getting their hand stepped on
but you're more likely get your hand stepped on
because you can't grab onto a guy and have any control of anything
and you're going to wipe out because you've got your stupid gloves
take your gloves off so you can just have some
two old goats sitting in the casino
railing on these guys.
I can see.
Why are the gloves still?
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing with the gloves.
That's not the thing to do with the game.
It's just a general observation of,
You're an idiot.
So outside of that, is there softness?
Or was that just kind of the...
I think there is softness.
I like their structure and stuff,
but I still, they don't...
They've got no way to impose a will.
Yeah, which is not about fighting.
They can't impose their will with skill.
No.
And they don't have the...
The...
What am I?
What's the word?
Clientel.
Well, they don't have the person.
They don't have the personnel to impose their will with...
physicality.
And yes,
they try, but it's,
they have no way.
Remember at the start of the season
when Weger said, you know, there's an identity
to playing this team right now.
And it wasn't about winning or losing, but as they were
playing for each other, every line came out
and played with tenacity. They had the same kind of,
you knew what you were getting when you played
the flames. Maybe it's a one-off,
but there was, there was really
nothing.
Yeah, I mean, rewind to Tuesday.
and I think you would have been happy with that, but you're right.
It was not a good night. Well, it's a results-driven business, but they still can't impose a will.
I think they have somewhat of an identity, and the identity is, if you take the night off against us, we can beat you.
And that's fine.
But how are they ever going to go into a playoff game and elevate to a point where they can beat someone?
They might not.
Don't see it happen.
Yeah.
Well, and again, this is, like, you're right, that I wouldn't be surprised at all.
because look, like they're not in a window to win here.
You know, they're in the process of trying to get younger, better players.
And the goalie has kept them relevant.
You have all this great structure and work ethic.
If you put Karel Vemelka back there, like, they're just not anywhere near a playoff spot.
That's just a facts.
And so would I be surprised with 20 plus million of cap space this year before you have
Mantha and Kuzmenko's money not on your salary?
like I think they will add someone that probably is a bottom half of the roster
shit disturber type because Longbird kind of is, but he's 5.9.
Yeah, the problem with it all is that the way the lineup is structured, we'd like the depth,
right?
And who on the fourth line?
Are you going to get Rooney?
No.
And Longberg, I think has a presence in the room, which is good.
And I'm with you.
He's too small to be intimidating.
And it would be nice to have someone riding shotgun on the other side that could
dump the puck and then headman go, oh, frick.
And you know what?
At times, that has been pospical.
We have to probably acknowledge that it's just not been the season that last season was.
Yeah, it has.
Oh, favorite player.
No, well, listen.
Get a jersey made.
We talked to him.
We talked about it yesterday.
Yeah.
I think he's shit scared of getting thrown out of games and catching hell.
Wow.
Hey, we like Huska.
Huska has called him out in a way, stupidly.
Well, the Puska's mistakes this year.
So that's the second game he's cost us this year.
And this didn't need to say it should have shut up about it.
That's what he goes.
And you got to play that way.
And it wasn't his fault.
Kill the penalty.
When you're on the fourth line,
it's pretty clear what your identity is going to be.
And for him, that's what it should be.
Now we're going to use you at center.
Why, Pospisle's looking.
Maybe he could be a second line guy.
Maybe he could be a guy.
Now you're up top with Cadre and Huberto.
Now you're here there.
It's totally different.
But remember when Sam Bennett,
was just every night a different spot in the lineup.
It's tough to find a role when you keep moving around.
And I'm not here to pin anything on Huska's guy.
I think he's done a whale of a job.
I think he's a top three or four.
What did you expect versus,
wow, this coach really did more than I thought.
Like, he's right there.
Spencer Carberry is going to win the Jack Adams running away.
But he's done a spectacular job with a group that isn't that talented.
But yeah, like I think hospicell,
it's taken a long time for him to settle to where he is now,
which is the right side of the fourth line.
And if he started there like a year ago,
played with the Moxie he did when he was with Codgman Zeri.
That's the guy you want on the four line.
But where is he?
Get the Moxie back.
We'll go to the, you're talking about Moxie and Gusto.
Yeah.
Gotta have Moxie.
This guy's got it.

are we, Drake's. How's your moxie? How's your moxie in your your, your, no, I mean, I'm in a technical
calamity right now. Oh, no. Different angle. Well, that's why I'm a bit late to the party here today,
fellows. I don't know. Yeah, normally I'm in the home studio and I just flip a switch and everything
comes on board, but I don't know if I forgot to update something or whatever, but anyway,
Matt Scrabble, here I am on my phone. Uh, you're looking at my nose. Now you're good.
Show us around.
Yeah, where's tiny?
Let's go.
Hold on.
Well, let's have a little tour.
I like that hoodie there.
Oh, no, no, no.
She bothered it off.
She went to bed.
Yeah.
Tiny's in bed.
Yeah.
That's all right.
Show us to smoke her maybe.
Oh,
anything on it?
No.
Oh.
That's rare.
It's a Friday midday.
Let's see.
Hold on.
Yeah, here we go.
Oh.
You guys.
got some snow.
Yeah, we got lots of snow.
It's ridiculous.
Anyway, that's what I got going on.
Let's say, we're glad to have you.
Either way.
Yeah.
It's, you know what?
Calgary Flames and this whole Dillon Cousins.
I mean, you kind of talked about it, I guess, last week,
but as we get, we're now a week away at a very curious what's going to happen with
Kevin Adams and Buffalo.
Because you look at, you know, Frank Sarajevovalli brought out his list of, you know,
possible trade targets.
So there's Bo and Byram and J.J. Patirk is on there now?
And Alex Tucker and Dylan Cousins and oh, Jack Quinn, is there,
is there anybody that's not on the, potentially on the block in Buffalo?
What does your, your senses tell you about the Sabres?
Because they could be a very busy team on Friday if they choose to be.
Yeah.
Like, why aren't we going after Owen Power or Rasmus Dahlene?
I mean, go down the list, right?
And I think that that's a position that Kevin Adams and Buffalo Sabres have put themselves in
over year after year after year of futility, right?
So you can't just close the door every time somebody makes a call or a gesture.
But in the exchange that I had yesterday with Kevin, yeah, I mean, there's lots of interest around
Dylan Cousins, as you'd expect, as there should be, less around Bo Byron.
But I think that that just means that teams don't believe that Adams and the Buffalo Sabres
are going to make that trade from the defenseman.
Maybe it's a little early to trade Bo Beyrm.
You know, Alex Tuck, I would submit his name in the same conversation that I do with Byron.
and Cousins.
And then, you know, Quinn and Peturka get a little bit more intriguing, I suppose.
When you look at the middle of the ice, you know, both in what's coming and what's there,
I think that that's really why teams have zeroed in on the Buffalo Sabres because they see the depth
there.
And, you know, why not start with a Dillon Cousins apiece that, you know, there wouldn't be
many teams in the league that wouldn't have called or wouldn't find a place for him.
but you know again Adams remains in the position that well if somebody wants to blow the doors off
yeah I've got to listen but nobody has done that yet and you know it's it's not expected that that's
going to happen in the next week but you always have to keep that that realm of possibility open
and that's exactly what Adams and the Buffalo Sabres are doing so what here's the thing I keep
coming back to because we keep here in Calgary link to yeah the cousin chats what is he because like
three years ago. He has this breakout season. You're like, well, there he is. He's a right
shot center. He's going to score 30 goals. He'll flirt with a point per game. But then you have
two years in a row where it's just like a half point per game. It's a very different story than
Trevor Zegris, but it's not completely different because both these guys flash at
21, 20, and then it's like, where'd the production go? Like, it's not as if the Buffalo
Sabres are like, we're really good, we're competitive, we have to shelter them, we need to win games.
He was like, they suck.
Why is his cousins putting up points?
Well, you know, you could say that about a number of Buffalo Sabres players.
You know, Jack Quinn was out of the lineup early in the year.
You know, it's just kind of been a spiraling operation for a long, long time.
But, you know, to get specific Don Cousins, and I can't answer why he isn't more productive.
I can't.
But so that I think is exactly why it's a real tricky scenario to move that player.
If you're Adams, you want top players coming back as part of a trade or you're not willing to consider it.
But then the team that's engaging and has interest in Dylan Cousins is looking at the potential upside that he provides.
But are they 100% sure that there's a whole lot more offensive production in his game?
And if the answer to that is yes, well, then make your best offer.
In the next week, make your best offer and see if that is good enough.
but if Adams doesn't back off,
and I don't believe he will, in his ask of top players,
is it really worth moving the pieces or app piece
plus a top drop pick,
a guy that you already know is a decent performer
within your organization for a guy that you're still a little bit unsure of?
And I think that's why we continue to speculate on Dylan Cousins,
but there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of traction there.
Yeah, it's an interesting spot, man.
30 goals, 68 points.
two years ago.
Half point per game now.
Like what happened?
I'm kind of with you.
As we sit here and we're watching the flames.
And lastly,
they don't get a goal on Vasilevsky.
And so Morgan Frost is an RFA.
He's going to need a contract at the end of the year.
And I think he's a good player.
I'm not sure what he's got to play with out there.
I watch,
I feel like it's kind of the same in Buffalo.
I think that Dylan Cousins would be a guy,
not that he's going to erupt like maybe Jack Eichel did
when he left,
different players.
I just have a feeling that that's a player who's got some more to give if he's got more around him.
That's, I mean, pretty simple to say, but I don't know that I worry about Dylan Cousins so much.
And I think there's more that he brings than just points.
I think the points go up and in the right environment becomes captain material.
And I think that, you know, your voice is the majority of clubs that have inquired with the Buffalo Sabres thinking the same thing.
I, you know, the Toronto Maple Leafs of Vancouver Cucks, any team that's in the market for a one or a two center still have, Dylan Cousins ahead of some of the other names that we've speculated on, you know.
And I would include Braden Shend in that, in that equation.
And you've got Scott Lawton for the Philadelphia Flyers.
And I think it's more because you believe in the upside of cousins and you sure like the birth certificate, right?
You like the age.
You like the fact that maybe he is just coming into his own.
and you give them a little bit more slack in the rope because everything that is the Buffalo Sabres
that hasn't been realized into a team that is a contending playoff team, right?
So you give the young player the benefit of the doubt.
I just know that there are a number of clubs out there that continue to keep tabs on him,
and that would be Calgary included.
Calgary is at the top of the list from a media perspective,
because guys like me and Pierre LeBron and you guys continue to talk about it.
you know, we just feed the beast,
Calgary, Dylan Cousins,
Gallupookey, Dylan Cousins,
but, you know, the flames aren't alone.
There's a wide number of teams that are interested.
Speaking of LeBron,
I know he kind of came out with a post
around the Miko Ranton and thing.
And there's a difference between what I'm hearing
and what I'm thinking.
My opinion, my, you know,
my thoughts,
if I were the Carolina Hurricanes,
what I would do,
it's another week.
And I know we asked you about it last week.
We feel like we'll probably ask you about it
every week.
until it's done.
But any more clarity on your end as to whether it's a sign,
he's going to be dealt again,
or they will just hang on to him and then worry about it when the time comes.
Well, first of all,
I kind of chirped here after that post because when I went to insider school
with Bob McKenzie was the dean,
I mean, the Bob father is the pioneer.
He blazed the trail for all hockey insiders.
he once said to me in the early days,
Dregs, it's not what you think, it's what you know, right, as insiders.
So I chirped LeBron a little bit about that.
So you don't think that the Carolina hurricane should trade this piece.
And I get it.
So here's what we know.
What we know is that Eric Tulski, the general manager,
is at least having trade conversations with teams around the NHL involving MECO
Rammat.
doesn't mean that that's a decision that the organization is going to make.
They may very well do exactly what Pierre LeBron thinks they should do,
and that's just sit tight and see if this guy can help them go deep into the playoffs
or better yet win that Stanley Cup.
And what I know is likely to happen in the next day or two,
is that Andy Scott, who represents Mika Randinen,
is going to tell the brass of the Carolina Hurricanes,
we're not making a decision on an extension before next Friday.
So if you want to further engage in trade negotiations, well, that's up to you.
If you want to trade, Miko, yeah, go ahead.
If you want to include us and the potential of a sign-in trade so that maybe you get a little bit more and the player gets that eight here, yeah, we're willing to do that too.
If you want to blow off the deadline and again, just use them as an own rental, that's fine.
No guarantee that Miko is going to say, see ya to the Carolina hurricanes at the end of the year.
maybe by buying a little bit more time,
he has a change of heart,
or he's more comfortable in that environment,
and he does extend.
So those are all scenarios that are still in play,
but you cannot dismiss the possibility to trade.
And we can't and won't until they either come out
and say they're not trading them or the deadline bell rings
at 3 o'clock Eastern on Friday.
Well, and the thing I keep thinking about is that he gets traded,
he's got two weeks there.
Everything's new, new teammates.
He's hitting posts.
Nothing's going in for him.
And now the pressure gets,
ramped up because the counting stats aren't there.
Not that he's playing bad necessarily, but the counting stats aren't there.
Then he's at four nations for two weeks.
He's away from the team. He's not in Rally.
He's in Montreal. He's in Boston. He's hanging with his finish pals.
And then he comes back to this trade fervor.
And he is in a spotlight of like, what are you doing?
What are you doing? What do you?
Like he hasn't really settled in.
Like, does he even know where his grocery store is where he wants to live?
Like, does he have a significant other that has a group of people to hang with?
Like, he's so new there.
You know, they make this deal early and you're like, oh, this is great.
But he really hasn't had much time there.
No.
And you know what?
All of the above matters.
It really does.
And especially with a player like that who knows that he's going to have a top market when free agency comes around in July.
He knows that, right?
Because even though there's been some struggle, you know, he was better in the last game, no doubt about that.
But there has been some struggle.
And as it was explained to me by someone close, you know, it's almost like you do go through phases.
And this is phase one for a player of that magnitude who is blindsided more or less by trade.
And I know people don't believe that, but that's the truth.
He thought that there'd be way more negotiating with the Colorado Avalanche.
He thought that he'd be able to at least submit the idea of the discount and what that looks like in a number.
And it never got to that stage, right?
So he didn't think this season was going to unfold the way that he has.
So there are growing pains.
And all of those things that are just lifestyle creature comforts, they can take a toll.
But it does feel like, guys, that he's coming out of that a little bit, which, again, helps me revisit what I just said.
I do expect that Andy Scott represents Stratman is going to say to Eric Tulski or Tom Dunnan,
he's not going to make his call before next week.
So we respect what you guys have to do.
And he'll play hard for you as long as you want them to play.
But there's no guarantee that he's going to stay long term.
Tough week for the Ottawa senators who have now lost five in a row.
Between losing a couple and then the Four Nations break and a Brady Kachuk injury.
And now it's, I mean, all of a sudden, there are four points back.
It's crazy to think how your whole philosophy, if you're a GM might change in the matter of,
five games, but I wonder if it has for Stevie Stales and the Senators.
I don't think so.
And I said this on air the other day.
I mean, I think Stales provided that this group gets healthy,
and that includes Brady, that includes Pintoed, includes Norris.
As long as they get healthy, you know, there's almost a want to protect that group
and allow them to go through the experience and the investment that is required to first
lock down a playoff spot in the east.
I mean, it's going to be a,
wrestle with a bear to do that.
It really is. And then if you're fortunate enough to do that, okay, experienced gain for that
young core, now you go into the playoffs, you know, best of seven.
And there's another layer of experience.
So sure, I mean, I'm sure Staeos is having big conversations.
He is.
You know, there are rumors around the Ottawa senators with all the center ice that they have
and guys that are coming that maybe they could be in the market for one of these teams
that are looking for a center.
You know, we'll find out.
But the message that I got from management earlier this week was, you know,
they'd prefer to add depth pieces to do exactly what I said, you know,
give that young core an opportunity to push and experience what it takes.
And then the hope is that Nick Cousins will come back into the fray, you know,
maybe by the start of the playoffs.
And if he does and he's able to contribute, that might feel like a bigger deal.
So I don't want to close the door entire.
on the possibility of a bigger trade involving the Ottawa senators,
but I didn't get that sense in an exchange with Steve Stales the other day.
Man, they were rolling too.
Yeah.
Wow.
Yeah.
I'll pivot a bit to Chicago.
We saw it.
I mean,
you could take little things and turn them into what they are,
but we saw,
you know,
Badard get crumpled on the sideboards and then he's sitting in the penalty box.
And it's safe to say,
this has been a long year for the kid.
And, hey,
get over.
it, I suppose.
Yeah.
But still,
you're Conard,
but you know,
Seth Jones had comments
after the game,
whatever was,
two nights ago or three nights ago.
And, you know,
is,
is he a guy at 30 that's attractive
by trade?
What,
it just feels like it's going to,
it behooves the Blackhawks to do something,
maybe not by next Friday,
but very quickly to make that environment
a little bit more conducive
for success for Bardard.
Right,
but that's the tricky part
when you're looking at Seth,
Jones. You know, yes, Kyle Davidson would like to get players back. You know, they've got to start
bringing some players in. They're going to help Bidadard. You know, I mean, that's just, that's where
they're at. And the problem with it is, you know, the team that is dealing on Seth Jones is taking
on a mammoth contract. Sure, there's going to be some form of salary retention. What is that going
to cost? You know, the pieces that you might have to include, is that going to impact your roster?
and then the trickier part.
And let's just revisit that comment that Seth Jones made the other day.
And I understand his frustration.
But he talked about how things haven't changed the last four years.
Well, he's been there.
He's been part of that.
You know, was he talking about the coach?
Was he talking about the manager?
Is he talking about the Black Box in general, his teammates himself?
All of that.
And, you know, so I understand his frustration and his want to win.
but guys, he's only giving Kyle Davidson one, two, maybe three teams to work with
because he has the full no trade protection.
Well, if you really want to win, you know, maybe don't just pinpoint one or two teams.
Maybe you say, look, here's a list of eight teams that I'd be comfortable going to
because I like the projection of that team.
Oh, you know, here's my top four.
These teams are all contenders.
But I mean, you handcuff the general manager with one or two teams.
you know, that's a tough spot.
And then you verbally come out swinging that way.
I don't know.
That's a bit of a challenge.
A question I haven't.
Bedard's there.
It's Chicago.
Chicago, when I came in, was terrible and it was boring.
And nobody really wanted to go to Chicago.
It was rebranded, Taves, Kane, those guys win cups.
Is Bedard good enough?
And are the Blackhawks desirable enough for, I believe they have a lot of cap space?
for guys to want to go.
Like, do you know what I mean?
Like, if McDavid's in Chicago, the free agents are running there to do it.
Is Bada hard enough regarded highly enough to drag them in?
And is Chicago itself?
Because for a while it was not a place you wanted to go.
And then it was, yes, absolutely I want to.
What's the appeal to Chicago for free agents right now?
It's not very high, Red.
It is very high.
And that's just the reality of the situation.
And I'm told by multiple player ages, Chicago is a tough self.
And that's disheartening because, you know, the number of times that I was around that city in their heyday with Taves and Kane and all the great Chicago Black Box players when they were buying and winning Stanley Cubs, there is no better sports environment than that one.
I mean, top shelf, just a wonderful city to be in for any sport when they're winning and they're buying for championships.
Um, but art hasn't proven yet that he's, he's, he's, he's superstar quality.
He hasn't.
Now, is it possible?
Sure.
But what is evident is that, again, he needs help.
He cannot do it alone.
You know, he can't throw this organization on his back.
And, you know, Blumer, you referred to him in the penalty box when, you know, he's sitting
there.
He just takes a big sigh.
I don't know that I can think of another time recently where I've seen somebody who just
needed a hug more than but darred did in the penalty box they did they go honestly you didn't you know
I I think I would have been more impressed to be to smash his stick against the camera in the
penalty box rather than it looked like he was ready to break into tears you know just weighing wearing
the weight of the world on him everybody sees that everybody ownership upper management management
the coaching staff everybody so I I you know I don't know
no, they fix it. Because beyond Seth Jones, sure, they've got some younger pieces that might be
attractive to the suitors, you know, maybe between now and the deadline, certainly in the
off season. But it looks like the fix is going to be long, long incoming. So who knows,
maybe two, three years from now. We're looking at Connor Bedard as a completely different player,
positively, not necessarily negatively, but what has to happen imminently is a management's got
to bring in some players to find a way to give this kid a fight.
has there being a more highly regarded draft pick left to his own devices as
Connor Bedard?
Like Ikel in Buffalo maybe?
Even like Celebrini's got so much more to work with.
Oh yeah, they had a plan for this.
Chicago just said, we're going to draft Bard and away we go.
It's ridiculous.
It's a good question.
I mean, that was the guy that came to mind for me with Jack Eichol, but you know,
you think of the years that the Edmonton Oilers drafted first overall, first overall
from you know like but at least it inevitably ended up in Connor
McDavid and then the building around the pieces that they drafted around I mean
Ryan Newton Hopkins is still a very key contributing factor for the Edmondson
order so it would probably be Ikel but I you know again that's why we're all hesitant
nobody's trying to bury Connor McDard you know he's way too young for that and
you can see the flash as a skill there um whereby you know if you'll flank him with some good
pieces, then who knows after that.
It's just Davidson's running out of bullets.
Like he's running out of the assets.
Yeah.
Like I wonder if they kind of misread the market.
Hey, we're Chicago.
Everyone knows what a great city.
We're the Blackhaw.
Yeah, but even look at the banners.
Now we've got Baderd, guys are definitely going to want to come here.
To your point, I'm just kind of surprised that guys wouldn't want to go to Chicago.
I'm a little surprised.
I thought it would be more desirable to that tax situation.
But some of the management stuff, why did they fire Luke Richardson this year?
So quick.
great question.
It made no sense.
I actually know I talked to someone.
He gave me a reason.
One of the reasons, it sounded like it was a big reason,
but it made no sense to me.
I'm like, well, that's not good.
Why were you saying to be good?
Maybe talk to the coach and bring this up instead of kicking him out the door.
I mean,
it was a head scratcher for sure for a bazillion different reasons.
You know,
you have to have a high character coach just to,
to manage everything that you're going through
when you're dragging through the mud
as the Chicago Blackhawks seem to do
on a year after year basis here.
And Luke is most definitely that.
I mean, maybe they felt like
they needed a different voice, obviously,
but they needed...
How long was he there?
He wasn't there very long.
They loved him. They raved about the human.
And then they gassed him when it was like,
oh, yeah, things are going on.
I was like, well, what did you think with this roster?
They suck.
You play your best players with Ryan and Adam.
I'm honestly disheartened because like you said, Drags, Chicago, when it's good, is integral to the league.
Yeah.
Like it's so, yeah, I, I, you know, I'm surprised the Blackhawks haven't done this.
And I like Kyle Davidson.
He's a nice young guy, you know, happy to have a conversation with him.
And I will, you know, coming up this month or in the March at the GM meetings.
But that is an incredibly hard job to do, to be manager of a national hockey.
League team, especially a team going through everything that the Blackhawks have had to go through.
Sure, they've got, you know, Norma Khyber's there.
They do have some experience that maybe helps the hockey operations.
But look at, you know, some of the clubs around the National Hockey League, you know, Toronto
as Brad Troubting, an experience general manager.
Oh, there's Brendan Chanahan as present.
Like, look around the teams that have done a real good job of making sure, especially
within experience managers that they've got experience to either flank or oversee.
I mean, look at the two-headed monster in Montreal between Jeff Gordon and Ken Hughes, for heaven's sake.
Like, come on.
Like, how Chicago has not given Kyle Davidson a mentor to work with?
I'll never understand.
You mentioned it in the fall.
You floated Ken Holland's name.
I think it was.
And you're like, that would be a fit there because there's a young guy learning the ropes.
She's clearly very smart.
and there's a guy that on the other side that maybe isn't up to speed on the newer side of management with the cap and analytics and all that, but has been through all these situations like they need that guy.
Yeah.
And I, you know, I don't know if Kenny would be open to Chicago at this stage.
You know, he's working inside hockey operations for the NHL, but that's not his dream job.
It's just something to keep him busy.
He still says the juices are there, man.
He wants to be involved.
And yeah, president's role would be perfect for him.
in a meaningful way.
And, you know, that would be a challenge in Chicago,
so I'm not speaking on behalf of Kenny Holm.
But back then, I think it made a ton of sense
because you're looking at the year ahead.
You're looking at, you know, a Baderd who had to be ready to roll in the fall.
Like, let's get going here.
I want to prove everybody in the world that I'm up there with some of the best.
But here we are encroaching on the trade deadline
and trying to pick the pieces of a broken puzzle up in Chicago.
So maybe Kenny looks at the Blackhawks and goes,
that might be more work than I want to take on.
But somebody's going to snap him up.
And they should because, you know,
that Hall of Fame resume is exactly what the Chicago Blackhawks team.
Really quick thought on Bedard.
Has he ever had a season where he hasn't won,
like double the number of games he's lost until he got to Chicago?
Like you see this face.
He's the first time he's done it.
Like the paths were a wagon and junior.
I'm sure the North Shore Winter Club where the hell he was playing.
like if you have Carter Bernard, you're the best team in the league.
That's kind of his whole life.
All of a sudden, they're the worst team in the league two years in a row.
Yeah.
You know what, though, too?
And this shouldn't matter.
But I think it does because he's a young guy.
And I'm reminded of Elias Patterson and his comment the other day,
Dean McIntyre that, well, I'm actually annoyed by the media.
You know, I'm not, I'm not worried necessarily about a lack of confidence
and how that's influencing that game.
I'm annoyed by the media.
And I look at poor Bard and I watch, I don't watch it.
ton of Blackhawks games. I mean, he's the reason that you watch Blackhawks games because of the
skill set. But man, every play this kid makes that ends up, you know, being a turnover or just
just a mistake, a flat out mistake, gets scrutinized and amplified. But that's a national
hockey league. Sorry, man. I mean, you know, you got to be better. And, you know, you have to
learn every aspect of the game that is going to make you better. So he probably feels like he's been
kicked in the shins a thousand different ways,
but in the long run,
if he embraces all of it,
he'll be a better player.
This is a tough one to throw at you right at the end,
and I don't want to keep you too long because we're right up
kind of on it here for you,
but it's five straight losses now for the Oilers as well,
as they,
they lose again.
I saw that Todd McClellan
kind of went after Dylan Larkin
last day. He's like, hey, he's just not
present right now. I have four nations being
what it is, and that was a whole big thing, but we're
removed from that. And I know that McDavid was
kind of saying, yeah, it's hard for me to go.
Should you take some days off?
I don't know what.
I think of Saturday,
you're thinking.
Yeah, so I don't know if that's tied in,
but what, it's,
it's another thing, a week out from a very important,
it feels like deadline for the Oilers.
And I just wonder for the brain trust there,
maybe things that you weren't thinking about doing
two weeks or three weeks ago.
Maybe, maybe we do need to.
We do need a goal here.
I just wonder where their headspace is at.
I can tell you what I know here again.
That owner, Daryl Cates,
It runs hot all the time.
He runs hot.
So there's no doubt that Jeff Jackson is getting called 20 times a day.
And by extension, Stan Bowman, the general manager, looking for answers.
And I get it.
I mean, it has to be a frustrating time for everyone there.
You know, where do you start?
Bowman keeps wanting to defend the goaltending.
And I get it.
I mean, it's the same goaltending tandem that got him to game seven of the Stanley Cup final.
All right.
Well, if it's not your goaltending, then is it a porous defense?
not just defense, but structurally how you play?
Well, maybe, but nobody's going after the coaching staff,
which I think is fair game here.
I don't think that this is the coach's fault,
but something asked to give because the number of goals
that this team is allowed since the Four Nations break ended is off the scale.
Like it's almost unbelievable how porous they are.
So in a perfect world, they'd add a defenseman.
They'd add a shutdown forward.
And I think they are kicking tires.
on goal tenting, despite what, you know, Stan Moeman keeps telling me and, and others.
I don't know how you can't.
You know, when you're in the predicament that the Oilers are in right now, with the
mountain of expectation ahead of them, I think you have to be involved in all of those
conversations.
Okay.
Last one, because I know we're up on it.
Yeah.
Rasmus Anderson likes it in Calgary.
He wants to resign here.
Craig Connery, I think really likes Rasmus Sanderson.
Yeah.
All that said, what are the odds that the, the,
Because here's the thing.
Like, you can't extend the guy out of the summer.
You haven't probably really got into trading numbers yet.
What are the odds the Calgary Flames view year 30 through 37,
which would be an eight-year extension,
the same way that Rasmus Anderson's camp view is what could be his last contract in the NHL.
They can like each other, but until we trade numbers, like,
yeah, they never really started.
Like, you can like each other's great,
but what are the odds they actually value this contract the same way?
Well, probably not good right now.
but I also don't think that it's a worry or a concern for Craig Conray.
I don't.
I think that there's, if I'm putting a percentage chance, it'd be below 5% that this guy gets dealt between now and next Friday.
I agree.
I think they're more than happy to push this forward into June and see where you're at that point.
And if at that point it becomes evident to the organization that this just isn't going to work,
given our concern with the midpoint, the latter stages of a mega contract.
All right, well, you make that call then.
There'll be plenty of suitors for Rasmus Anderson if or when Craig Conroy puts him in play,
but it's not going to be this week.
And I assume you are, you have something next Friday?
We won't, I don't know.
Yeah, that's going to be, I'm going to be jammed up.
Unless you guys, why do you do a morning show and I'll come on at like 5 or 6 a.m.
Perfect. I'll just be getting in.
Love that idea.
Jack, we'll sleep on the couch. We do that here.
That's crazy.
Well, you never know. Maybe, you know, maybe we're going to be eating meats.
Yeah, we're going to have the meat sweets.
You're inside.
Yeah, we're going to do our own, our own dream deadline coverage.
Are you?
Oh, sure.
Yeah.
With a smoker gone.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
We'll have some meat brought in.
Beef ribs.
We've got a cooler full of beer just dying to be drank.
There's a lot of coverage of people that are.
sober drags we got to find our niche you know yeah you got to go with the trifecta here you've got to have
the smoker going the barbecue nothing wrong with the rotissary you can put like a prime rib on there
you can put whatever you want on the rotissory and then the turkey deep friar boys wow
turkey dries so easily deep fries no no no no you you do you have to brine and then you have to
inject with all sorts of goodness just let that thing soak for a couple of
days and it'll be beautiful trust me did the the bob father teach you that the the dean of
you get that in insider school no no that's good old prairie stuff that's good stuff that's good stuff
love you jerks off with uh with a deep prior one you got a sacrifice for success driggs you got
a sacrifice for success i dropped the turkey in and my eyebrows kind of went the other way
uh that was you on youtube hey i've seen i've seen those
Yeah, I could have been.
That's fun, yeah.
Appreciate you.
Have a good old boys.
Yeah, we'll talk to you.
There he is.
Darren,
TSN, insider, our hockey insider here.
God, we were good.
On Barnburn.
Yeah, we were real good.
See it, buddy.
Crystal waters, plumbing and heating,
your crystal clear choice for home comfort.
And if you're a barn burner,
you need to a hot water tank,
AC, furnace, you'll receive discounts and upgrades.
Up to $1,000 in value.
It's crystal water.
Some goes, just whatever happens.
Oh, this is on the,
if it's on the blink or on the fritz.
crystal water's plumbing and heating so like to know you think about it's like hot water
my door uh the battery pack thing keeps beeping it changed the bet did they wreck it when they
were coming into the house because i feel other to touch it otherwise probably not
one of us lugans probably could i love the you know dregs very much is our spirit animal
because we talked hockey oh a good half hour when did he per but then when did he hey
oh boys here's what boys that dry sack the boys you got to inject that half ass this fellow
was yeah yeah he's one of ours there's no doubt about it yeah i mean it's you know the badard
thing is interesting the oiler thing love it they're going to make the playoffs it's but man i don't
know and you know what noodles talked about it like was that yesterday or two weeks ago because we
was on a beach yesterday with a coconut they say if if if skinner either doesn't play well or it gets
injured are you so all of this that you've built you're going to go with pickard and pickard
and some other rodrigue
Well, and you got to remember, Ken Holland, who ran it for five years, viewed Skinner as a really nice guy that should be in a tandem.
And he went and got Jack Campbell.
The problem was Jack Campbell stop being Jack Campbell.
Like, it was.
Jack Campbell was Jack Campbell.
Jack Campbell had one year where Jack.
Yeah, that's a fair point.
And Ken probably was wrong on what he thought Jack Campbell was.
But my point is that he thought Skinner would be best served to have a running mate.
Pickard's a number three in the NHL.
And when a guy gets hurt, he can come up and win you some games,
but that's not a platoon guy.
You're not rolling out Cal 40 times thinking,
here we're going to win the cup this year.
And great year last year,
but they need another guy that could be a starter.
I still think it's John Gibson there.
I just think the injury is not that serious is what I'm hearing.
I think their goalie situation is great.
I actually feel maybe we should go the other way.
Don't jump.
Yeah, don't create a mountain out of a molehill.
Yeah.
Fine. Game seven, a couple goals.
We win the cup.
D's great too.
Get another forward.
You're so close for another Adam Henry.
We got all kinds of good stuff here.
Ty Emerson.
What a stud.
Let's go.
Don't worry about us.
Two lack top four.
Let's go.
Keep your powder dry.
Yeah.
You guys are with me on the Rasmus stuff.
I feel like, okay.
What?
He's not had a good year.
Well, and it's, I mean, he had an amazing start.
He scored early.
The defensive metrics aren't good, which is weird because it's McKenzie Weeger that's
playing with the Hanley's in Miramano.
He's got ball most of the year.
That's your best defensive defense.
You know what?
And I see,
you saw it last night.
And it feels like he's just trying too hard.
He's jumping in on plays.
He's pinching for hits.
He's just,
he's everywhere.
He needs to just kind of,
to me,
just simplify.
But right now,
what have you got around?
Like you say,
it's been Hanley and all that.
He's probably just taken too much ownership and it's trying to do all together
too much.
And okay.
So he wins here.
So he's 20.
hey, what's it going to look like at 34, six years from now?
Because that's halfway through your extension.
We don't have to argue with us.
We already,
I'm not arguing. I'm just, shut up about it.
I just think it's a challenge.
Now the other GMs are listening.
They're all watching.
No, but you know what?
The beautiful thing about Erasmus trade is that you don't have to extend the guy.
There's, as a rental, he's immensely valuable just because he makes such little money.
And he absolutely is a top four guy.
And he is a right shot.
can help your power play even if it's
PP2 and he has played big
minutes, he plays a ton. He helps
every contender. I would be extremely
fearful if I was Rasmus Anderson
on
overplaying my cards.
I agree. There's
there are players that have done
it and wanted things
and not turned out
and then it gets even
worse and you're out of the league.
Everyone likes the bet on yourself stories when it pays out.
No one talks about him when it's John Cleverg League
and $60 million on the table.
Then he signs for four in Anaheim and then two in Toronto
and then a PTO in Edmonton and then he's out of the league.
No one talks about those ones.
And it happens.
And I, there's 60 million on the table.
Careful Rasmus.
Good player. We like him.
But that's a long time he's going to try to get signed for.
And to Dreg's point, we're so close to it now and things may be
maybe change.
but given how he's playing,
I don't know if teams are
just a trade before next week.
It's salivating,
but they'd take him for sure.
It's not about other teams.
It's about the flames right now.
Like you're one point out of a playoffs
with a game in hand,
you're not trading around.
Yeah, I guess what I mean is
if the flames are going to trade it,
they'd have to have their socks blown off.
And that's given what he,
how he's playing right now,
no one's going to come in and say,
look, this is the guy we need.
Here's what the shitty part is that all these guys,
Pinderwell argues.
I don't think we've had,
we were expecting getting to have her socks blown off
on,
a few of the guys that have been traded over the last few years.
And it's turning out that maybe.
Well, that's what I had said.
We, we hear, whatever, I think we've overestimated what the return was going to be.
We've had this discussion.
We don't need to have it again.
I think TANF was incredibly underwhelming.
You look at the caliber of player, how much you got in free agency,
and what you got back, and you're like, how didn't they knock it more?
But then Retzel Rasmus is, okay, we watch.
And then, geez, you didn't play at the four nations.
well, that depth is pretty good.
And I don't care about the four nations.
I can watch him on a day-to-day basis with Calgary Flames.
And he's not, when are you noticing him?
Many scores.
Or when he's put himself out of position and how many odd man Russia's were had last night.
He's getting noticed more in a negative aspect and a positive at this point.
It doesn't mean that he could be on a down thing, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
He might still be pissed because he didn't play at four nations.
Point being, he's getting noticed for the wrong reasons.
The wrong reasons.
And he hasn't turned into a poor player.
It's all still there.
He just, the,
the circumstances of where it is right now.
You wonder if it's playing on his mind?
I wonder.
Could be.
And it's funny,
because if you had three years left,
we haven't mentioned Rastis Anderson all year.
It's just not an issue.
But because it's like where they're at in their life cycle,
where he's at on his contract,
understanding that a right shot demon at the deadline are highly coveted assets.
Four and a half.
Making way too little money.
Everyone can squeeze them in with the cap.
You could eat half and make.
make him really attractively.
That's why his name's out here.
It's his contractual status.
If he had three years left and he was making seven,
no one's saying a word about this guy.
To get off of Rasmus a little bit,
because I think the reason Rasmus will stay is because they don't have clarity.
And the reason they don't have clarity is because they beat Washington
and then lose three nothing, Tampa,
and you don't know what.
Yeah, unless they lose every game between now and Dallas,
they're just, they're not selling.
No, right?
And even if they did, even if they lost every game,
that doesn't mean Vancouver or Utah has to win a bunch in that time too to make it real clear like
Brett and I were talking for the show like Utah's come up they're finally healthy on the back end
and I know their games played aren't in their favor but they're suddenly a week away it's a good
week away from being like yeah if Vancouver is going to implode and you know Calgary certainly is
capable but it's not a playoff roster when you look at it well it's what we talked about at the
start and that's the shitty part is it I you don't throw on the towel
on a team that has a chance to make the playoffs.
I just don't, after watching last night and taking into consideration,
they beat Washington the best team of the league two nights earlier.
Look great.
I still don't see how that team elevates to win a playoff series.
And you know what?
They did what you talked about, like go get some scorers.
Like, Ferribee's a guy in an off year that had 22.
You're like this guy.
If he pops, you could have 30.
Frost, all this skill.
They still can't score.
They're good players.
I don't know exactly what they are.
I like Frost.
I don't know.
I'll say I don't know what's going on with Sharon Govich.
He's been soft.
It's soft.
He's soft.
Last night, I was just like,
like you can't trade him,
but I would absolutely be,
I just,
I loved the signing at the time and now,
like God, you're scared of your shadow.
30 goals and he was playing
fourth line center for the first month and still got there.
It's incredible this season he had.
How do you go from that to this?
Because that's what I was saying about Frost,
just watching it.
Sharon Govich can't piss.
to drop right now.
And Farabee's lost.
I mean, he's, it's, you got to give him time to settle and he's just snake bit.
And he's playing on that line with Frost.
I think Frost has got some ability, but because you see him, he's got the puck a lot.
He's making plays.
It's dying on other guys stick.
Farabies had a couple whiffs the other night.
Last night, he gets elbowed in the mouth and it's just nothing's going for him.
And it happens.
But this has been a long stretch now for Sharon Govich.
He had the injury at the start of the year.
So, okay, well, maybe he did that, the pressure of a new deal.
Well, just, yeah, this.
there's no more kid gloves.
You're now a guy who got a caught,
you earned a contract,
which was a good contract for both sides,
given what your performance was and your production was.
But right now,
I don't notice him at all.
At all.
If you're noticing,
he's in the lineup because you don't notice him.
It's,
yeah,
it's funny because you look at those three guys and you're like,
could that guy score 30?
And you'd say yes for all three.
Like if everything went ready.
Somebody has to,
like,
so it's a line of three.
guys that you're like, yeah, their career years,
I bet you they could score 30 should be a very good.
All of them are just lost right now.
Yeah, I'm just, and Frost, I love the skill, but it's like,
it's too cute a lot of the time.
I think a lot of it comes back to the emotional side of things.
I think Longberg adds some of that.
And I don't think any of the other top guys are drivers of emotion.
I thought Fairby would be, to be honest.
Well, you can think.
And we've seen, he hasn't been.
So even if he is great, but he hasn't done it.
I agree.
Who on the top lines?
Codry should be, but he's old.
He doesn't want to play that game anymore.
Hubert O can't.
Zeri's skill, great.
You need some bite that can play.
Yeah.
Like, there's just nothing.
Yeah.
Pospisable's supposed to be that guy.
He's supposed to be up the lineup.
Maybe I don't know.
I don't know that he should be.
Well, he hasn't earned the right to play up the lineup, but you'd have hoped maybe.
Like he could swap him and Sharon Govich.
But he's not even having bite on the fourth line.
That's what I'm getting at is that who on the.
their defense. We saw ball the biggest guy they have. Hanley a little bit, Paul.
It's Bahal and Uighur. Those guys have bite. Everyone else is. It's soft as puppy poo.
And again, they look great on Tuesday. They look really good on Tuesday. You don't want to.
Yeah, but you did. Did they look good or to, I mean, I'm just saying give them credit because these are the best teams in the league.
We're going to watch and play for the next this road trip. It's five. It's still doesn't change that they've never gone into a game against any team. Washington. And, and.
imposed their will.
They've won games because they've competed.
They've never imposed their will.
And they're not capable of it, to be quite honest,
and they're not capable of it because they don't have bite
and they don't have high enough skill.
It's funny.
They don't have a decor that's intimidating.
It's not, yes, you go into Calgary or Calgary comes to your town.
You're going to say, don't sleep on this team.
You've got to work.
But you're not worried about any of the lineup.
They, if you could tell me about a game where the flames are,
just it's perfect 2025 flames hockey their way of imposing their will is getting shelled and wolf
demoralizes the other team making saves that's that's it's it's a goalie guys and bladar was great in
was part of it are they exciting are they a top 10 or a top half of the league exciting team to watch
and they have to win boring they can't outscore to they are the islanders that is the absolute
clearest point yeah it is is they need low event dull hockey yeah they have to be yeah because
They can't, they can't score four.
So how are you going to play exciting hockey?
They can't play physical.
They can't play high skill.
They have to play low event.
And again, it's a team we all thought was going to be fifth from the bottom or something like that.
They are competing on a consistent basis and they've got goaltending.
And I am not begrudging them for what they've accomplished.
I'm just after watching 60 games, it's clear.
It's clear.
There's not a higher level that they can raise up to.
This is.
this is what we are.
Yeah.
So what do you do if you're Conroy?
I move.
You can't fix it between now and next Friday, but you have.
The problem with all that, we always play these games and drags.
What are they offering?
Like if you're looking at Rasmus, okay, who wants them?
Trilivin wants Rasmus ads.
Great.
And take the tax out of it.
Just a tree calls Connie, we want Anderson.
I think you'd say give us a first Nick Robertson and one prospect.
Is he doing it?
Maybe.
Probably not.
Four and a half he might.
Oh,
we all just got hurt.
No,
I don't think Conroy would do it.
Oh,
no,
I agree.
Like for Nick Robertson and a pick.
Well,
it's got to be a first.
Like you're not doing anything without a first.
And do they have a bit?
I mean,
it'd be down the road.
That's the thing because not unlike when they made the deal with Vegas.
I'm down on the squad.
today because I watched fairly closely
last night and it was
disheartening. Yes. It couldn't
It couldn't muster it. They were still trying.
And they kept it close. They were in it. They were trying.
But when it matters, they can't create offense.
And Wolf was good. Yes. That could have been five or
the shit kick and they took earlier in the year. They could have just as well
taken it last night. Wolf allows to two gives you a chance to win. And Vasilevsky
didn't really break a sweat. It was pretty routine except maybe that one.
That's it. Yeah. They were. They were quality.
not good.
It was just, yeah.
And so if you're Connie, you know what it is?
I think he likes it quiet.
I don't think he liked the circus last year.
I think he wants to let this group believe in themselves,
but I think deep down he knows you're not good enough.
And so, and look, if Rasmus is a you,
you're at a spot where you got to make a decision.
You don't.
So you don't, yeah.
And in June, when a lot of the big deals happened,
um, heading into the draft,
I think you've got to be sure of,
I can sign Raspis and out of the number I can live with or I can't.
And if you can sign them.
And if you can't, get some assets.
I wouldn't.
You've parped.
I don't know.
I'm watching them lately.
And it's now it's becoming long enough where it's like,
uh,
yeah.
And so what's a number they could live with?
Like if it starts with the six,
but Rasmus's camp doesn't want that at all.
Well,
that's what I'm saying for Rasmus's camp is that you had better take a long,
hard look in the mirror and project yourself out.
Because even if you're going to go.
get the fat contract, it'll be good for your pocket,
but you're going to get run, like, absolutely MFed.
Elias Linholm.
Yes.
Nikita Zedorov.
You can go chase the money.
You'd best be able to play up to that contract.
God love you for getting the money and secure in the bag.
That's what they call it, Dean.
They secured the bag.
But if you secure the bag and you're terrible,
that's a tough life.
And the other thing is,
if he's just asked to be a number four on a really good team that's deep
and he's got a great partner next to him,
it's probably real he's fine it's probably a really good player it's just that somebody's going to pay him
to be 34 35 36 and maybe even 37 in this league and I don't think that even if you don't like the
return the guy you get back won't be better than 34 year old restaurant just pump your breaks just for
one second we're sitting here watching this guy and we're realizing and seeing what's going on
why are the rest of the GM stupid they're not stupid because they don't have to extend them
They're trying to win a cup now.
He helps a team win a cup this year.
He's better than a lot of teams fourth defense.
But then I'm talking,
but we were discussing not the trade.
We were discussing what Rasmus is long term.
Yeah.
Well,
every agency's dumb money.
So he can count on dumb money for sure.
And every team will look at it,
and especially if it's a need.
Yes.
He'll be better for us.
If it's one piece too that you need.
Yeah.
I mean, Calgary,
that's tough.
They don't score a lot.
He's doing too much.
This whole thing here.
He can play right in.
We'll be knocked down this minute.
by four minutes a game, yeah.
And overpay him for it.
Yeah, and so there's two different things there.
One is a team saying, I've got a two-year window to win a cup.
This guy helps, extension, whatever.
I'm not even worried about that.
I'm trying to win now.
Now, now, now, now.
And that's Toronto.
That's Toronto.
That's Edmonton.
And then there's other teams that are like, shoot, this guy's a free agent.
Who else is?
We're really light on right shots.
Because you're not trading them to Edmonton.
No, you're not.
But Evanston's a good example because it's like, but I'm trying to just hang.
Brett Kulak is the right side of the second pair there.
Ty Emerson's played there.
You're making a point that I agree with.
No, and I'm not trying to argue.
I'm just trying to make the point for our viewers that Rasmus today helps a lot of contenders.
What?
That's who?
Well, like I said, Toronto, I think absolutely.
Well, it's hard, but we could go in here.
I mean, we could bring up the depth charts.
And I'm, would he fit in Dallas?
I probably would.
I'm guessing there's probably a lot of teams that would say Rasmus in our top four would fit.
What I'm getting at is that we keep talking about.
Dylan Cousins. Flames, are we
realistically in the Dylan Cousin sweepstakes,
or is that just a guy that Conroy wants?
You know what it is? I think he's a guy who's in
the trade talks. Oh, Calgary
could use them. Oh, so what's the deal? Well,
both teams are kind of similar.
That's what I'm getting at. It's who, Edmonton
can call Conroy, and Conroy's probably
going no effing way. Sorry, you can
blow my doors off. Why did the
Hannafin deal work? Well, Vegas is really good
and thinks they're close and has, and gave
futures to get. And they had no. Why did
Dallas one go? Well, Dallas thinks they're close.
they gave a young guy and some picks.
Buffalo, do they really,
are they close?
No.
I don't think Rasmus is a Buffalo thing.
And I don't,
I think cousins would fit here,
but he fits in Buffalo for the same reasons that he fit here.
And look,
when Craig Conroy gets the job and he has a press conference
and he says we need to find a young right shot center.
That's why Calvary has brought up every single time Dylan Cousins mentioned.
He continues to talk about right shot center because they don't have one.
Now,
what about this?
Now we're having lots of.
Let's have a flow through thing where the flames trade to Buffalo.
Anderson, someone else, and then they flip that, they trade them for cousins and then the
sabers.
Rhett loves three ways.
This is the thing that I'm big into three ways, Jack.
Is that what you were doing?
Last night?
That's what I called.
That's why you're so little sheepish.
Doesn't kiss and tell.
That's why jack?
Keeping two people out today with that.
You should keep that to yourself.
Hearing lost.c.c.a.
See the.
Fucking good, boys.
Is there?
See though?
Yeah.
That's quality.
You know what?
Because we care about our hearing.
And Travis is awesome.
Both those things are true.
Both can be true.
Both can be true.
Hearing loss.ca.
I don't even, you know what?
It was a while ago.
It's like, you know what, Travis Rhodes.
It does a great guy.
Does a lot for the community in that and big sports guy.
Maybe he's with that lunch.
So yeah, let's try to get a partnership.
Travis has done a lot for us.
He's been a great sponsor.
He's got, he put me through the whole thing with, you know,
Gamut.
Hearing loss and here's the hearing aids that would work for you.
And they've kind of been a life change.
now that we've got these here that are both hearing it's protection and it's also incredibly
high quality i don't know if you know are you a recording artist are you a i'm a rapper dana
are you a rapper jack and i got a thing going on word r and b i would think whatever the situation is
i feel like there's very few people that would be listening it would be like yeah my when i'm on
stage rocking out my in-ear monitors just don't give me the protection or the quality of sound
that I need.
But maybe you do.
You know who else?
Kelly Rudy.
Just give it a looksy.
Next time you're watching old Flamesaw or
hockey night and whatever they do there.
Kelly's got these as well.
The best in the biz
right there. That's what you get with the
hearing loss clinic. Or
maybe you just need to find out more about your hearing.
We've talked about it a lot and
we believe it to be true.
If you have a toothache, you go to the dentist.
If something's not quite right, you go to the doctor.
You may not have any idea that your hearing has suffered,
that you've had some sort of an injury, perhaps,
where that your hearing is taken,
some abuse,
some damage.
You go in,
you sit down,
they're not going to try and talk you into something.
You're going to see it.
They've got,
with the technology that they've got,
there's like,
well,
here's,
here's what you're hearing.
Here is everything that you're not,
if that's a case.
And that's what it was for me.
It's like,
this is all good,
but you're missing a lot of this.
of this region.
And it's,
yeah,
so let's put these in
and just see if it makes a difference.
And I guarantee you,
you're going to be blown away
that if you do have some loss,
and then what they are able to bring back for you
is going to be life-changing.
Hearingloss.c.a.
That's what I will say.
I would recommend it to anybody.
The worst thing is that you go in,
oh, your hearing's great.
That's not terrible.
I did the half hour of your life.
Can you?
I loved that room.
I'd sit in there for,
weeks. Take a load off. And you know, because untreated hearing loss, health risks, studies have proven, dementia, depression, others, they've been linked to untreated hearing loss. Do it today. Hearingloss.ca. There's five locations in Calgary, five in BC. I would dare say one near you. You know, if you go, I bet you're thinking, I wish I went sooner. You will. That is for sure. Because, you know what I have? I have assistance with my hearing. You have peace of mind. And that's what you need.
It's what win.
Peace of mind.
Hearing loss.com.
Were we too harsh in the flames today?
I mean, you call them puppy poo like five times.
Yeah, it's one game, but you know what it is?
No, I agree.
It is just such a realization of what we already knew.
I just don't think they're good enough.
And God bless them for trying their asses off, but they're not good enough.
I think yesterday game is more of an indicator of what they really are than the Washington win, which is stupid, right?
half full, bud.
But I do believe that.
I agree with you.
I believe that.
Would there be fans that looked at it and said,
one went off the skate of our own defense.
They're called fans.
And then there was one other shot that maybe,
you know,
seeing eye shot,
it's a perfect shot.
And then it's an empty netter that the play.
Hey,
we were very close with one of the best.
You kind of were,
but did you ever threaten the lightning?
Because that's how I feel.
You were there,
but your goalie made some big stops.
And if you had to pay the play,
the Tampa Bay Lightning in a seven game series.
You need a lot to go your way and to go against them.
A lot to go your way, consistently your way.
Well, that's the thing.
It'd be the cup final.
Yeah, I'd be excited about that.
Travel.
A lot of travel.
A lot of travel.
A lot of travel.
All right, let's do the Pinder Report.
Let's do it.
Let's get to it.
Friday edition of the Pinder Report brought to you by Village Honda.
You said it yesterday.
If you're on the mailing list with Village Honda, if you're a customer, a client,
keep your eye open
because I have it under good authority that they were
dry cleaning their big
unveil sheet. That's silk
sheet. You know that big
it goes
foomp and they show off a new
brand new thing. I heard they were at the old dry cleaners
getting her all
prim primed and pressed and
steamed and ironed and ironed oh yeah
yeah yeah.
Unvailing it's exciting eh?
Because we've been to village for a few of those.
There's a buzz.
in the room.
It's under there.
People turn left.
No touch yet.
No touch yet.
No.
Soon enough.
Patience is a virtue.
Village Honda.
They present.
Ryan Pinda.
Ryan Pinda.
The Pinda report.
All right, fellas.
It's set over to Flames Nation.cacy with the buzzes.
Yeah, Vasilevsky was
good, I guess.
Effort, sure.
Didn't it used to be the Boulin wall?
Yeah, the Boulin wall.
Yeah, you would have.
We'll move on.
I don't want to get rid of.
the scar tissue there. Lots going on there.
What factors lie between the flames and the
playoffs? Okay. What should they do with the deadline? Yeah. Anyway,
flames dot, Flames is not CA for more. Easy to say, right?
Yeah. Yeah. Over a daily faceoff.
Oh, all sources. Carolina
willing to keep ranton and past deadline, even if
he rejects franchise record.
Franchise record. Yeah. That's really high.
Yeah, that's so much. I mean, the caps going up.
They don't pay anyone anyway.
I'll tell you what, though.
This is a $12 million.
I may not know where he's not signing for $12.
Like you said, my grocery store is.
That's a lot of money.
You can get it.
I'll get somebody to bring it in.
AI will deliver it.
Oh, I get that.
But what if you could make 14 and go play with Pardard in Chicago next year?
Taxes.
Bad taxes and weather.
That's true. He talks about North Carolina.
Airport.
Point being, I don't think Miko Ranton is worried about suitors if he does end up a free agent.
Fair?
Fair.
It's going to make his money.
If he wants a certain number, I think he'll get it,
especially with the cap flying.
Even if he doesn't make all of his money.
Still going to make.
Still going to make so much money.
We got out of Frank.
Frank trade, Frank.
Frank Ball?
Can you imagine?
It's like knowing you're going to win the lottery July 1st.
You don't need to buy a ticket.
You don't need another point the rest of the season.
You got to have an awful end of the season.
You know what you're doing?
You're already spending the money.
Probably.
You're already shopping for your loss.
Hurt you off double if you're right hand because he won't
signed your name.
Another.
Sabre on Frank's trade targets list.
German,
not pick him up.
Jean-Jacques.
No good.
No, Bueno.
What does JJ stand for?
JF, Frankie, JJ?
He's from, you're talking like he's a,
Gibbeck.
He is from,
I don't care what he is.
Don't worry about.
Just move on.
Roll.
That's just all the sabres apparently available.
And that matches with what Dreger said.
When you're that bad for that long and you have so many good young players,
they'll trade someone.
We just don't know who.
One guy that gets me the best return.
that's what I'm going to do.
That's probably the right call.
And then fired Kevin Adams.
Poor Kevin.
Yeah, poor Kevin.
Maybe you won't get fired.
Blake Coleman.
Last night.
Oh, first look at this.
Hang on, hang on.
Who's this from?
Bobby Germany threw this up yesterday.
And it is a great conversation starter.
The more I look at it, the less it makes sense.
But I'll say this.
It's fun to kick around.
No, it's not.
It's ridiculous.
What if the flame said, hey, Kings,
you know how you've lost to the Oilers three years in a row
and oh, you're a good team, but you can't get out of the first round.
Why don't we slide Rasmus Anderson on the right side of your second pair
and you just give us this young guy, Brand Clark, that's way down your lineup.
So is he saying Rasmus because that's off in a second?
Yes.
For Brandt Clark.
And you know what my contention would be?
Rob Blake has no interest in doing that.
Yeah, like zero.
Yeah, there's that.
Brand Clark might be better now.
It's fun to make, but zero.
Yeah.
Like, Grant Clark could be a star, like a super star.
I think he's more points to rest of this year already and he's 23.
Yeah.
He's a half point per game.
Hey, Bob, I mean, pick it up, Bob.
Bobby, come on.
Good try.
I mean, hey, I love the spirit.
I do like the spirit and we love trades.
Yeah.
Just love them.
You know, trades don't even happen or even the funest.
You just speculate, like, boy, that'd be fun.
But across the top there, it says, who says no, Kings?
I think we're.
Oh, Yan Kuznetsov, hang on.
No, it's still no.
I don't know who.
He doesn't know who you are, but that's okay.
You don't know that.
He might not erase.
maybe a big bar.
I don't know.
I doesn't know that you ever played.
I make rounds and I still don't know who is.
You said the other day that you couldn't even believe that you played in the NHL.
Yeah.
No,
you know,
I'll tell you why you know Jan.
I'll tell you why you know Yon.
Because I told you's a right shot defenseman as a pitcher when you're shooting left.
And you're like,
he's not a right shot.
Oh,
you're right.
Yeah,
Retro brought that up.
You know,
I was sitting around.
How did that go?
You were just sitting around or what was the scenario?
I don't know what it was.
I just kind of hit you.
Some reflection.
I love to do self-reflection.
I just kind of hit me.
I played in the in the NHL.
I can't even believe that.
How you?
Then I watched a couple shifts.
It was not impressive.
Different game, Dean.
Yeah, different time.
Huskass.
Six game road trip continues.
They're got a back-to-back this weekend, fellas.
It is a 1 p.m. puck drop mountain tomorrow.
This actually might be the right time to play the Panthers.
Defeat.
They did beat the Oilers yesterday.
they are missing a Matthew Cichick,
Chuck. We aren't diving too heavy in it. It's not a game day,
but then they get Carolina who looked a little off,
but looked great last night. Randon, it was a real good last night.
Carolina action end game always sucks.
And a back-to-back. And I know the travel's not treacherous,
but that's two cup contenders,
back-to-back matinees, afternoon starts. How did you feel about them?
Not great. Not great at all, Ryan.
Not great at all. And then kind of Philly and then Dallas.
If you want the full day in Florida,
and then it's early, like this is back-to-back.
give these guys some time on the beach shit she's uh west wild card let's take a peek
god reflame still point back with the game in hano vancouver because the ducks the ducks quack
quack quack quack the ducks aren't that far off i'm actually a good team i shouldn't say they're
they're good team they've got a lot of very good young players they have nice prospects yeah
i think you're a trade john gibson boys yeah you keep saying
Keep bringing his name up.
Might as well.
It's brought up for five,
10 years.
And now there's only a couple of years left.
You're like,
finally it's palatable because that was,
ye.
Anyway,
I thought the goalie was almost unplayable.
You would,
you had said that Gibson was terrible.
He was.
You have a great year.
Good for him.
Is he?
Yes.
We're all injured again.
That's the thing.
But having a monster year.
And Dostle looks like the guy.
It's easy to be injured in the team that's terrible.
And I'm better this year,
but you know,
in the past,
well,
who cares if I miss a guy.
game. We are a mile away from playing. I was making my rounds over the last little while.
And it felt like the give a bleat meter for Gibson and Anaheim had been very low the last few years.
And you'd understand why. He arrived there and they won five divisions titles in a row.
It's been bleak for the last five. Let's keep moving. Let's look at what we got? The East
standings, I think, Jack, or something else. Yeah, there we are. Oh, they're going to play Florida next.
They're leading the Atlantic. But look at the games played boys. They're not long for that.
top spot. Tampa's rolling. Leaves are good. Atlantic's just an absolute
gauntlet. Oh yeah. And then they go to Carolina. They're
non-Washington good. Like that's in Washington. They're right there.
Tough road sure, fellas. Yeah. An Ottawa, five in a row. Fowless. This is supposed to be
the year. Brady. Does anyone else kind of having a little small chuckle inside and you don't
want to be too gloaty as Canadians, but like, oh, it was the greatest experience.
like the americans making their rounds talking about second place
huge media tourists
oh we're just injured we were so close to
it feels a little jinxy even a year out from the olympics it feels
it does it does to bask in their loss and it's true
and they'll have a good one make fun of them who care
okay 11th province right that's what we're saying for sure yeah uh let's go to
jacks favorite team penguins they were on fire last
night. The penguins gave us a half
season worth of drama last night. Let's start with
this. 950th game
Crosby, Malkin, Latang,
all together. That's wild
that you could have a trio approaching
a thousand games together. I don't know if they'll get there. It sounds like
Carlson, they're listening hard.
It's not in that list. What is the truth? What does
Carlson have to do with them? Nothing. Jesus,
pender. Wake up. Maybe they will.
Maybe they will get a thousand together.
Still hammer.
Keep going.
Let's keep moving.
Jack's boy, what do you call?
What's his name again?
The goalie.
Needle Dick.
Needle Dick was not happy.
Getting pulled last night.
Let's go.
It broke in half.
And then he slammed the handle into the corner as he leaves here.
I don't know if that's at himself, at the coach.
That's that now he's screaming.
He is upset and he's being pulled.
Yeah.
He was kind of barking down the bench.
He slammed the door.
Well, two of the goals went off for his own guys.
and now this one he's left to his own devices.
So you can see all the way down the other end,
and see him down at the far end.
He sees the hook is coming.
It's a humiliating feeling.
I don't think he's good enough to act that way.
You know what?
I don't know where Jack's at on Mike Sullivan right now
because he's been trying to send him to the moon,
but also he's the greatest coach ever.
That's just happening in the last month.
But stroke a genius.
Penguins come back and win at no tee.
Malkin four points.
That just tells me that.
Team hates, what do you call?
Needledick. Needledick.
Which Jack's spelled N-E-D-D-L-E-D-I-K.
Nettledic.
Nettledic.
Yeah, that game was something else.
He was up late, Dean.
Do you remember the last Sutter year when Jacob Markstrom just, his wife was pregnant,
couldn't make a save for his life. First shot, he was like, they're going in all the time.
That's the Penguins all year. Have a look at this stat.
First shot goals, 12.
times.
12.
And he's breaking his stick.
Hard to play with the lead when that happens.
Hard to get a lead.
Jeez.
8.03 of the first shot.
Oh,
that just takes the wind right out of your sales.
Sure does, Ryan.
That was like four V of in Colorado.
So did you watch the game live or did you catch up on like highlights or?
I watched it live.
He's like,
the fucking penguins are killing every night.
He's still watching this video.
Kind of up to something last.
did you text me last night with the penguins?
I don't remember. It was after
that third goal. You're just like this
leaping team. Some BS goal
that goes off a guy and then, yeah.
Who's your boy there on defense?
Graves. He got his first point.
Ryan Graves.
He stopped cardio last night. You actually did something.
You sent him to the moon still? Yeah, he's horrible.
Yeah. Okay. They have their little
old. I know. It's really
something. It's good stuff.
Rob Ray was back to
the benches in Carolina last
night look at this
hurricanes there's a lot of weirdness
but the social media team is undefeated they're great
remember that always put out the
the Sebastian Ajo and
cut can the Emmy specials on gear on the
anniversary of the offer sheets like they're just
they're great and there's razor with the bowler out
is that enough to get around his head
barely first of two bushels
there what are we not sure
what I got next I can't read what I wrote
This is crazy.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, there's not a dirt game.
Can't wait.
If you're wanting to watch it in Canada,
go to Quebec or turn on FX.
That's how big the stadium games now.
Yeah.
Yeah, we got to.
Ohio was playing Michigan.
Yesterday.
CAA.A.
Hockey?
I see.
Not basketball.
That's my addition.
That's a great price edition.
And it was way in Ohio.
Oh, H.
Look at the warmies here.
This is unbelievable.
You should get that tattoo.
The headband game is, oh, of course, ran and went off.
Look how good they look.
Wow.
Like, I get it.
We would, they would just look normal.
They would be like anything else when it's new.
But, um, God damn it.
That looks good.
The hurricane compared to that.
They got a whale on their frigging shoulders.
Unbelievable.
And it's an H and a W Jack.
Did you see that?
And it's a whale's tail.
The negative space is an H.
Have you seen that?
There's an H with a whale tail and a W.
It's all there.
It's one of the most ingenious logos of all times.
It's amazing.
Do you see the H Jack?
Yes, I do.
Do you see the Wail tail?
Do you see the whale tail?
I do see the way.
Is it the greatest logo ever in sport?
It's got to be up there.
It's got to be up there.
Anyway, just Sabers love.
Our shoes where's the H?
Where's Hartford, Connecticut?
Hartford's dump.
Did you get drafted in her?
Yes.
What a terrible town to have your draft?
What is,
yeah,
what is the hotel with Wade B.
like drinking beer,
watching Ace Ventura.
That's a good movie.
I watched some Wade B.
like fights last night.
As long as it's the first.
In the hot tub.
HTS and how are you this afternoon?
All righty then.
Are there whales in Hartford?
Oh,
is it on the coast?
There's whales everywhere.
Really?
at the mall
Savers? Around 2.30.
Yeah.
Let's go to the
something on the Sabers. That's all I've labeled
as Sabers. Jack, Sabers, please.
Help me. This is unreal.
Watch the movie.
I'm going to sleep.
It's a slow night.
With the worst team in the NHL.
No, they're not.
No, I mean, they're last in the East,
but it's wild, man.
They're actually not the bad. The gold differential's
better to fly.
Like a minus eight on the year or some of others.
This team should be much better than they are.
Honestly, it makes me want to go there.
Just give a nap.
Give us the keys.
Oh, we'll turn this thing around for you.
And honestly,
it's going to click.
There's too many good players for it not to, but it's just not this year.
What'd be the first thing you do?
Fire Kevin Adams.
I get rid of, sorry, Lindy.
Lundy's got to go.
You got to go.
You need to coach a structure.
Thanks, guys.
I'd love to coach a server.
Sure.
You and you and cheese?
Yep.
Yeah, that's a good idea.
Let him do the heavy lift.
I'm,
I'd be your boss, though.
Yeah, whatever.
I don't listen to you, so it's fine.
All right.
Nice layer between that.
You do your thing.
Yeah.
Okay.
Worry about how I handle my own.
Games tonight.
Let's go.
What do we got?
What we got?
Oh, light's light.
Not many.
Blue shirts, blue shirts.
King Stars could be a sneaky banger.
Wild or banged up.
The a abs haven't been great out of the break,
but that's a potential playoff preview
Which game of those do you not want to watch?
I will watch all those.
There you go. Those are all bangers.
And they're staggered.
Now we're part of each.
That's perfect.
Remember we were bitching about how
they don't stagger games?
They'll have like a 12 game slate,
but half of them started.
So everyone's in an intermission at the same time.
They got to change that, right?
They're changing it.
Look at this.
Well, I see this, but on a night where there's a bunch of games.
No, I know.
It's a thing of that shit.
Half pass.
They did it that one time this year where every 15 minutes they play.
Yeah, they did their frozen frenzy.
It can be done.
It can be done.
It can be done.
Let's go to beer league.
Why do they call it beer league, right?
Because you drink beer and then go swing sticks at each other.
Let's have a look.
I had 41 cores light.
This is the wrong word.
It's actually a lot.
It's actually going to get them hard.
It did.
Once more.
Yeah, you just stay down there.
Stay down, but.
Once more.
Back of a kid.
Get out of it.
All right.
I think they're leading that ring.
Where's that?
Is it Frontier?
Hang on.
Hang on.
Need volume.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, you got a good one there, buddy.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Hey with it.
All right.
Okay.
Okay.
That's going, beer.
Now, it's going beer.
No other sport in the world that happens, guys.
It's magic.
Madge, thank God.
I'm going to swing and try to knock your head off
and beat the piss out of you.
And 30 seconds later, I'm going to give you a hug.
Let's have a beer.
I want to punch you in the face and knock you out.
All better. Let's have a beer.
Thank God.
I might as well go for some.
I don't like it.
Usually it's because one guy is he just can't turn it off.
Once you strap the buckle up, it's like,
okay, well, now you're an idiot.
Yeah.
You have no off switch.
Or somebody's out there.
playing way too hard or sticking
and you deserve, you freaking
deserve it. I would like to know what led to
that. You're going to need the lead up.
Did you do your rounds? Yeah.
Do your rounds. Actually, I don't give a shit.
So we've been talking about our shitty
fantasy football league, which really sucks
and everyone hates because it's toxic.
I'm not. And how we need a good last
place punishment, but no one would ever do it anyway.
Toronto Blue Jays had a fantasy football league last year.
Chris Bassett, I think his team
went four in ten. Look at the jersey.
In this new season of the Toronto Blue Jays, we travel to the most astonishing wild places.
Here lies Chris Bassett, a grass-fed, tall and lanky giraffe, a season veteran that has withstand the bumps and the grinds of a baseball season over many, many moons.
While pitchers can get around perfectly well in the field, they're most at home on the mound.
Their talented arm.
It's got the old
nature documentary
last place in the fantasy league.
I hope it gets better.
No, it doesn't.
No, the story is they made him
be the bat boy.
Yeah.
For the day.
And made him wear that jersey.
That's good.
It's good.
Yeah.
Not bad.
That bad.
Are they going to suck this year or what?
Oh,
absolutely.
I've been convinced for years.
They're going to be good.
And I've been wrong every year.
I'm sure they're going to suck this year.
I hope I'm wrong.
I hope you're wrong, too.
But you're not.
No.
you'll say to come around.
Yeah, you'll say that they are good,
but in your heart,
you're going to believe it,
and then they'll win some games.
You'll be like,
hey,
he's going to sign here and have a season.
Yeah.
Oh,
his walk here.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I'll be ready by first pitch.
Well,
we'll see.
I'll be 999.
99.
99.
999.
999.
999.
So boy.
Update next week on.
I understand.
That's coming.
Yes.
Perfect.
Very happy.
That's why you had those ordered in.
Shh.
My wife can't know about that.
So let's go to AI.
Rhett loves it.
Love AI.
And it's coming faster than you think, folks, this is your warning.
Red's not even here right now.
I told you so.
Told you so.
Flying cars.
So apparently, like, what, you just talk to your phone.
Your phone will do stuff for you.
You would like me to call you.
Hey.
Oh.
Jack,
he,
Hey, hey.
Hey, hey.
Hey, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.
Hold it.
Okay.
Oh, oh, oh, oh, ha.
That's so dumb.
I don't think this is AI.
This is a scary.
It is.
Siri AI.
Sure. Just low level.
Kind of.
Keep moving.
Oh my gosh.
Like I understand.
I blacked up.
When you're putting together things,
you like to have the support of your co-host
He was dying this morning.
What possibly about that?
Why was that funny?
This is so dumb.
I was going to put that in.
This is when I feel like we need to take the keys away from both of you fucking
dumb.
Like you guys don't know what's funny.
We'll save it.
We'll save the shit.
Don't worry.
Pinterborough is saying.
What's next?
You shouldn't have to save it.
There's going to be something that's awesome, right, Jack?
What do we got?
Like you sewer yourself to save yourself?
All right.
What's next?
They're the new world.
This is a problem.
I'm having to.
Jack's an idiot, and that's what's coming up.
But at least the cat,
you can see it's the song and the ACS.
It doesn't matter.
It's what they're paying attention to is the problem.
I don't get the phone one at all.
Like the serial.
You know what we're not talking.
Call me.
Okay, you tried to call me.
Like, I don't, I guess I'm old.
He was dying.
Yeah, but you love it too.
I love that he was dying.
You played it and realized, oh, boy, this is awful.
Now I'm going to hang it on Jack.
Dean's going to hate it.
And Jack's going to die laughing.
We need it on the show.
You like seagulls?
That we, that we.
I don't like it.
Great stuff.
Thanks, Dean.
I was thinking about our 9-99.
It's going to get a little.
We need outfits, right?
you need an outfit
yeah no jack and i not you dead beats you sticks in the mud

don't drop your beer catch your beer
dropping a beer.
Look at the save.
This is unbelievable.
This is like Dustin Wolf's show.
This is celebration.
I did that the last night.
No one saw it.
I broke the ballot box.
Still loving it.
What are you talking about?
At this casino,
it had to pull names out of the box.
Yeah, yeah.
Broke it.
And I had to do that.
Did you?
Same thing.
Good save.
You're welcome.
We're high and we're sorry.
Dean.
That's your PIN report on Friday.
So full screen on Dean, please.
We have to have a fucking meeting.
Like I mean,
we got to bring in the bigwigs.
Oh my God.
I just,
you know,
let's just have a separate show for you guys.
After.
Gigal fest.
No,
the show is you being pissed off at the Penderport.
Yeah.
No,
it gets old to.
No,
I don't think so.
I,
I'm not pissed off.
I'm just disappointed.
I'm just sad for everyone.
Jack,

When you deal with Honda, and then when you go to Village Honda, they are your dealership for life.
Because they treat people right.
Unlike the Pinderport, ironically.
Yeah, maybe.
We'll get back to the gators and kangaroos.
No, big hippo.
Big hippo.
Big hippo.
Hijinks.
Are you clicking?
Clicking.
Did you?
No, I heard the click.
I didn't click out of it.
I could hear it, Clark. I did not click.

You look at drags, they're under,
they got snow, it feels very wintry out there.
You get enough vitamin D right now?
I'm out there a lot.
It feels very sunny right now.
We're getting a lot of sun.
You can't get vitamin D though until a certain time of you.
Is that true?
Yes, it's true.
I told you so.
I'm going to apologize to February.
I'm sorry, February.
I for one was very negative towards you.
I just thought you're right.
I thought your whole intentions
that happened in February.
There have been some great things
that have happened.
Super Bowl or nations.
Chicago.
Chiefs for frauds.
What a great month.
So yeah, as you do the kind of
pros and cons list
at the end of the month.
Dude, Canada won that Olympics or whatever you call it.
Big win for the country.
Got everybody feeling good.
And you know what?
Oddly enough.
The team won.
And then the weather changed.
It was last Thursday.
It's true.
Wow.
Now I heard in Detroit, they had a water main break and it got cold and the cars were frozen in the street.
That's true.
That should have made a Penderport.
Yeah.
No, why would it?
Too many elephants, I guess, that day.
Too many Siri voice texts.
Quiet.
Jack, can you just, can you just, and I'm not just because you were laughing at you thought it was very funny.
Yeah, I just think it's really dumb.
But what part of it is, is it the fact that you can just, yeah, like I'm going to try that.
I'm going to switch my contact name to ha ha ha ha ha.
And do what?
Just listen to it.
Just, oh, that's what I mean, Dean, by these people, these youngsters, they're dumb.
A water main break during cold snap causes major or something.
So he's going to sit at home and listen to.
Oh, boy.
Yeah.
I guess if you're Pittsburgh fan what the hell else you know what's your order last night would you order for
nice did you get the order in before you had to leave crazy uh no I did dinner home all right let's go I get
what do you have yeah I'm making meatballs are you gonna make some meatballs are you gonna make some meatballs
I had meatballs last night have brine and some pork chops right now holy smoke got a brine pork chops right
you have the pork chops get the brine out that's and I told you so because he has been saying that for a long time
it's really good just like the flying cars that suck
there's a lot of things actually when you think about
your turkey you definitely brine that chicken
brine it pork chops brown it
pickles
you don't want to brown have you noticed I've been looking at
Ryan in this screen here I don't want to look at him
face on he's having that
deterioration not to the point of some of the times
we've seen him before but there is some
fatigue and
setting in well his drinking and sleeping in
is.
I don't think there's a lot of sleeping.
So then Ryan called me at 205.
Yeah.
It didn't sound like Ryan was at.
To winding it up either.
Did it?
Like,
did it come across as,
Hey,
I'm just on my way home.
Yeah,
I've had a few to drink.
I just want to let you know that I appreciate you.
Yeah.
Hey,
about tomorrow show.
You know,
this great thing we can use in the Pindam,
right?
Yeah.
The Jack's laugh is already can't get out of sleep.
I said of this.

Three games tonight.
Whole slate a game.
Saturday,
hockey night.
Bet 365.
What a combo.
A lot of games.
Whatever the moment.
Start this week.
Are they in there?
I don't think so.
It's a huge range of markets,
but I don't know that you can do the Calgary City Championship.
Yeah,
Rets been point shaving,
so they took it off.
There's the three games slate for the night.
These are my picks.
Look at this.
Aves.
Heavy favorites, but I'm going to parlay that
with the Leafs.
Because Minnesota's dinged up and the Rangers are trash.
The Rangers trash?
Yeah.
Are they?
Yeah.
I thought they were kind of right in the verge there now again.
No, they're like, they got to pass like four teams to get in, I think, maybe three.
You got the East Standings, Jack.
I'm throwing it on the spot, but they are four points back of Columbus.
Yeah, and they got one game in hand.
Do you want to see them in?
Or would you rather have the first time the Detroit fans get to?
I don't like how they've handled things this year.
I don't either.
They still like kind of don't,
but I do like having the original six teams in the playoffs for some.
I want to see Ottawa in.
Columbus is the feel good story.
And Detroit hasn't had a playoff hockey forever.
It would kind of be cool.
Ottawa makes for the best first round match.
Especially if they get Toronto.
Toronto's probably going to slide into that one slot in the Atlantic.
You think?
Well, look at the games played.
They got two games in a hand and one point back.
You get a wild card, leaf sends.
That'd be a lot of leave.
Pick up Anderson and codd.
I don't say a Rasmus going.
Mike Robertson gave me a good phone.
And you like the a obs there?
Obviously.
Yep.
Wild got pumped yesterday.
Flore was in net.
It's back to back.
They go back to Gustafson, no Capriess off, no Erickson.
I think Hartman's still suspended.
It's just they're not healthy.
Good picks, Ryan.
What are the odds for that, Ryan?
Parleyed.
Plus 136, I think, or 143.
Yeah, because they're both
your favorites.
You get plus money.
You get plus money on that.
Yeah.
Good luck, Ryan.
Thanks, Dean.
Yep, good luck.
Bet 365.

Not many.

Nope.
Oh, boy.
The boys were playing.
Tomorrow morning.
Justice Joe Critska, pay witness to Glen Lake,
U-11 Blue.
Can you imagine the owner that comes off of him behind the bench?
It's not going to get better.
Whoa.
You shouldn't do.
You can get in trouble for that.
That's why I'm not coaching today.
I'll be sober as a stone tomorrow morning.
What about you, Jack?
Do you have any more?
