All right, it's time for another edition of Barnburner.
This is the 4th of February.
May the 4th be with you.
Yep.
Sure.
Very apropos on this day.
Thank you.
Jack loved that one.
He did.
He really liked it.
He was a Canadian guy.
He has had a comedy show on the week.
He loves comedy.
I love a good joke.
Loves leaving the flames after 18 minutes.
Loves it.
Welcome to the show, presentation of Bet, 3,66, 5.
What a week it's going to be.
Big slate of NHL games tonight.
It's a game coming up on the old weekend, I believe.
I realized we haven't weighed in with you on one of the biggest topics of Super Bowl weekend,
so we'll get to it later.
All right, good.
Game props, player props, totals, the money line, whatever your bet is,
it's never ordinary at Bet36Fal.
Get the, if you haven't got the app already.
Come on.
Get the app.
Get a little love in there.
Use the promo code Nation when you sign things up.
Be 19 or older, and of course, bet responsibly when you do.
And there it is.
The super chat, we are rolling again today.
If you're watching live, you comment in the YouTube comment section with a cash donation
and the money will go to the USA account.
Got a place for it.
You were going to, so what's what?
Well, Bet365, you noted a big weekend.
We've gone back and forth, been doing research, or we heads or tails.
Because we got the odds.
Right.
There's no juice on this bet.
Like you'll usually see juice on every bet in a sports book.
They're both plus 100.
Yeah.
It's a value bet because there's no juice.
It's one of those things where I feel like the math,
and you know how I am with math.
Yes.
I would suggest,
I got about a 50-50 chance.
But I always feel like I'm less than that.
I would say in my lifetime of picking heads or tails,
I'm well below 500.
Yeah.
Okay.
There's two sides.
You're flipping that some bitch.
So you just got to figure out which side of the coin is the boomer side.
Yeah.
Because that fuck is not way.
Yeah.
So anyway, I'll have to get back.
to you. One side's Rhett. He's a winner. The other side's boomer. The permutations on it.
We're here in the McLeod Law LLP Studios. Cloud Law, not a lot of places you go in the world today
where you feel like I'm going to get taken care of. First class service. When I walk through
these doors, I trust everyone in here to be the best in the business of what they do.
McLeod Law is one of those places. So in a way,
not everything, but almost hoping you don't need to have a lot of McLeod law.
That's enjoyable as it is.
Yeah.
To go and get great advice.
Yeah.
Rest assured.
Care of.
Like said,
quality individuals.
Yeah,
you don't want to go down there every day.
Not every day.
We hope you don't need legal advice all the time.
But when you do, you need to know where to go.
Hey, look who's back.
The whole officer.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Let's your slip and fall.
All right.
How's that?
Your libel going rats are nice.
Very nice.
Cloud.
Dashlaw.com is the website for, uh, you know, the initial details and then you'll
kind of go forth.
But, but, but no that you're not getting some donkey and Bangladesh taking your call.
The, uh, the inshittification of everything is something that people are talking about.
Things are just worse.
Like that word.
Yeah.
The inshittification.
It's like if you did the same thing 10 years ago versus today, why is it way worse?
We have much more technology.
way more capable.
It's not happening at McLeod's law.
No.
You still have quality,
trusted service.
Would we be in a shitification kind of mode?
It depends what you're comparing us to.
If it was like a high quality broadcast
of yesterday decade, probably.
Yeah.
Because like we haven't even mentioned
the Olympics.
I feel like that's starting.
Well, it's today.
Day zero.
Mixed doubles.
Canada versus the checks.
Really?
Yeah.
In curling, tennis.
Yeah, that's right.
Mountain tennis, yeah.
Yeah.
It starts.
You mean you're not excited.
You don't know what a fever?
It starts today.
The Olympic ceremonies are today.
It's 1105.
No.
They're coming out of the hacks in an hour.
Less than.
Jack, throw that shit up on the tube.
Throw that shit up.
Really?
Yeah.
It's one of the few events they actually roll before the opening ceremony.
Okay.
So this is why I am confused.
so they do things prior.
So they don't, it's Italy.
They're not swimming in curling ranks, right?
More effort.
To get the mix doubles done so that those guys can compete in the women's and the men's competition
got started early.
But they are swimming in Marinera.
Jack, let's go for a bit.
Just having some yucks over there.
Jack's just dating his life right now.
He's begging to get Friday off.
What's going on?
Are you okay?
Why are you begging?
Just take it.
Well, Ryan gave me shit.
I didn't give you shit.
I'm just like, well, okay, so you're taking Friday.
Who's doing the show?
Jack, cut his mic.
You're doing the show.
Cut his mic.
Can you just cut his mic and his camera?
Focus on me.
Have I given you bad advice over the years?
Never, never once.
Never once.
Never once.
Has Ryan Pinder screwed you royally over once or twice?
Uh, yeah, a couple times.
Poor advice.
Trip to Jasper, one house, case in hand.
Maybe some late nights.
maybe some disappearing acts,
maybe some backdoor tapins.
Maybe some questionable,
maybe some questionable parenting approaches.
Yes.
What the hell?
So let's not put a lot of stock.
Shut up.
Let's not put a lot of stock into that man's opinion
of what's right and wrong for the Jackmeister.
Right?
Right.
I'm here.
You're here.
If you're trying to emulate that man's,
life poor choice come to the retro i will advise jack yes take friday off thank you
and if the rest of us get the day because of it even and if a jacks told me i was you got to get
the truth if a trickle down happens to be that uh we don't work on friends that ems it's
prepared to make that kind of sacrifice you got to get to tune you want to get up there get there
i really do yeah tuner yeah how you're going to pull this off are you just taking another day
I was going to do the show from there.
We have the technology.
Rhett's not here.
Jack needs a mental health day.
Well, I leave tomorrow.
Boone's gone.
Oh, no.
I'm going to come in here, do this,
because I wouldn't miss it for the world.
No, you do love it.
And then head out there.
Where are you going to go in tune?
Any tune listeners, text us
the new hotspots because Dino's coming to town.
You go to the Jenny or what?
Jesse's is closed.
As he's is closed.
All called Daggett.
I could call the DUG.
Did you still going for cool?
He doesn't nail it as much as you know.
Well.
Excuse me.
Are you doing?
Just open Twitter and apparently our shows on Twitter.
Are we on?
Are we on?
Are you on the show on Twitter?
What the hell?
Um, is it a game day?
Helmets on, Dino.
Not just a game.
Okay.
So it is a game day.
Get your helmet on.
The flames are in action tonight.
Verses.
Those greasy.
To all the oilers, right.
Yes.
One of the last few games you'll get to watch.
Between the Battle of Alberta.
And that game, of course, is being played in Calgary.
In Calgary.
Yeah.
You wear that?
I am now.
It's the fourth and final installment of the Battle of Alberta.
The flames of two wins.
You always have won.
They were up at the Hippo tank for the season opener.
Cold skin flute gift there, 3-0 lead blown by the ears.
I don't know if it was just the skin.
I think there was a lot of elaborate.
Awful.
There was one from behind the goal line, makes him a special.
There's a lot going on.
Are we, do we have that much animosity, disdain?
What's the word I'm searching for?
I don't think it's either.
There's a good words.
The indifference, dejection towards our team that we can't get excited for the battle of
Alberta.
Like, I'm quite excited for tonight's game.
The Oilers have been sleepwalking with the Olympics starting very soon.
Okay.
I need more to back up this phaseless game of your excitement.
I'm going to present a photo.
This is number seven, Jack.
Oh, are you sure?
Agree or disagree with this statement.
The Leafs are a total bleeping mess.
The Oilers are a cup contender.
Agree or disagree?
I disagree.
I probably agree.
A cup contender?
I mean, it's not an outlandish statement, right?
It's not outlandish.
An argument can make it when they were just there.
You'd be like, yeah, I would think.
Here's the standings today.
Our graphics department is a tremendous.
A tremendous worker.
Same games played.
Beliefs have one fewer point.
Yeah.
Than the mighty,
anointed.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Fumbled Dynasty.
A loss tonight
would knock the Oilers potentially out
of a playoff spot.
Out of a playoff spot? In the West.
In that shitty division?
Columbus is ahead of them. Anaheim passed
them last night. The Kings would be ahead
if they lose in regular. Come on.
Well, the Kings are going to get a... Seattle
can pass them tonight.
This is an opportunity
to punch down
on the Munson's from Shelbyville
and remind them
They are in the midst of one of the greatest mishandlings in the history of sport.
A fumbled dynasty in our lifetime.
How lucky are we?
And you're wondering if we're fired up for Route 4 of the Battle of Alberta tonight.
And the Scotia Bites saddle on.
Damn right, he said it.
He's wearing red.
He's got yellow.
Look at them.
And I dare you to name their third line center.
You've never heard of this jerk.
I'm sure he's a wonderful guy.
That was excellent, by the way.
Well, we needed it.
Excellent.
Go ahead.
Try and find that kind of passion somewhere else.
Not over here.
Yeah, I'm going to get it anywhere else.
Not like that.
It's quit nicotine's not easy.
You'll find some passion, but not quite like that.
That was very well done.
That's why you're one of the best in the business, right?
That's why you're one of the best.
You piss people off, but that is dynamite.
I was just outside the school here.
I'm like, hey, kids, do you like some candy?
You're like, oh, this seems like a great.
And then by the end, you're like, oh my God, this is insane.
That's not the analogy I would have used for sure.
No, I don't know.
A little jig, not anything.
You don't want to van with.
No, not a good analogy.
Still not.
Dig up, stupid.
Yeah, you know what?
It does give me, every time you do it, I do get the, and it's just the way I'm built,
because I think of the times that we've done that, which is kind of try and shovel dirt on the grave.
It was three years ago when they had a horrendous start.
They're in the rest of the playoffs.
They are not coming about, they're not, but King's series last year.
And then they, oh, they're done.
Ret and I in the, in the Panthers series, so they're fucking, it's over.
I think it's time they fire another coach.
It's usually right around this time they got to do that, isn't it?
Change of coaches like underwear up there.
Chuck was the guy.
Anyway, go get him, Chuck.
I like their goaltending.
I like what they've done in that.
Dude.
Yeah.
The defense is built to last stouts.
Like, I think they describe their defense as stout.
I was listening to anyone.
I'm a fan.
It's not a, Jason Strudwick, who,
There's a lot of media up.
Stretty was on with the overdrive boys.
No noodles, though.
He's so busy.
So busy.
And they were talking about the Euler game the other night.
Not last night, but whatever the previous one was.
And they were asking about the goal tending.
And Jari, he says, well, you know, he's coming back from injury and that can be tough.
And so, you know, you look at the goals.
Like the first three, I don't have a problem with.
The first three I don't have a problem with, you know, the four.
fourth and fifth. Okay, maybe you want those. You want those back.
That's so great when you're like, well, you know,
it was like the torts clip in Columbus. Yeah. You know, it's going to sound ridiculous saying it.
But that seventh goal really took the wind out of our sales. Yeah. Yeah, I do enjoy it. So I like,
I like what they've done in, uh, like what they've done in, uh, like what they've done in,
well, they've, you know what those sneaky pricks have been hiding because it felt like they were
doing better. It's somebody named Samanski is playing third line center. Oh, I love Samanski.
they've not won three in a row.
They're the only team in the NHL that's not.
Sandusky?
Ohio?
Yeah.
Is that auto parts?
Jim?
Jim Sandusk?
So they're terrible.
They're second in the division.
This is what?
They're tied.
They're five points percentage.
They played some more games.
Yes.
Five points.
They're second.
They have the same number of points.
Again, points percentage.
But with 64 points, it ties them with Vegas for tops in the Pacific.
Topps?
It is a pile of fecal matter this division.
Yeah.
Colorado has 81 to lead the central.
Vegas and Edmonton 64 to lead the Pacific.
And that's Colorado on a skid for a month.
Yeah.
They would be out of the playoffs if they were in the Atlanta.
So, so, so they could be big.
Yeah.
Big game at the dome tonight.
Big game at the bottom.
It's underestimated.
Thank God.
Thank God I'm going.
you are going.
I just decided to go to.
Kent's going to do after where.
I did see that.
I can't do a live stream.
We're going to do a studio.
I actually don't know it.
So I'm going to get.
Yeah.
What was that?
Did you want to do it?
So my.
Well, I was in for the line.
We're not doing live here.
It's pure pender.
Oh, Jack said it's, well, he's, I'm going to the game tonight.
Boomer said he wasn't going to do a live stream.
So I'm glad I impact you.
No, no, no, no.
I was happy to live stream.
It clearly was not.
happening you're going to live stream this he brought it up i guess keen on these oil or hate watch
things that we can i like it it's not at eight o'clock selfishly it's an eight o'clock and i'm yeah
and that's fine we don't have to do it but we're not showing and driving stop arguing um
you're lucky it's gorgeous so that drive to and it'll be it's got to be minus 20 there still
doesn't no it's got a little bit better it's not about that it's about this game tonight
do we have our guess yeah we do it's um it's one of those things
might be some good.
A lot of people,
they're not thrilled with
flames victories right now.
It's a tough spot to be.
Well, they're not getting a lot of them,
so they should be that up.
Imagine winning one of your last seven
and not really getting much better
in the upside down.
Plus six tomorrow.
Delightful.

the guardians of your home's mechanical heart 403 219 4100 check them out at christoclear cagery
dot com as we say hello to ts n hockey insider here on the insider hotline hello dregs
morning hey fellows good morning um i just did the
most ridiculous thing well in a while so and anybody who's watching this is going to go okay these are
first world issues here but we have cleaners that come into the home once every couple of weeks not
everyone not once a week you know my wife and our empty nesters not that big of a deal right you're
run a vacuum here anyway we've got company coming in this weekend so it's going to be an
aggressive clean.
So prior to the cleaners arriving in 20 minutes, I did the cleaning.
Vacuumed.
Happens at my house.
I even scrubbed a toilet.
Like, what are we doing here?
I know.
Doing it.
I'm like, I mean, we're not savages, for starters.
So it wasn't like I had to address an issue so that the cleaning staff didn't have to.
I just, I did it because I want my house nice and clean to the cleaning.
stop for the cleaners it's very yeah it's very nice clean for the cleaner well you can't you
understand can't you're gonna have people over you got to have some food some drinks out
and a nice clean house it's just you are it's not your yeah well and then the battery died on the dyson
and i was annoyed by it and then i i i it's i'm distracted because it's a day when the roster freezes
kicking in and my phone isn't really buzzing i don't want to give you guys the wrong
impression here but i'm distracted because i'm i'm wishing it would buzz
with some activities.
So I'm like,
all right,
we'll do something that you wouldn't have to clean a toilet.
Yeah,
exactly.
But there it was,
scrubbing the toilet and then the vacuum died and I was pissed off.
So.
Same thing happens at our house.
I think it's like every couple weeks,
two,
three weeks.
And the notice goes out,
okay,
you need to clean up because the cleaner's coming.
And the kids have that same reaction.
What the hell?
What's the cleaner for?
We have that clean?
Yeah.
But I do,
I do,
I do have,
I've done the same thing.
I'll call it poop guilt.
Sometimes the toilet,
you just don't want the cleaners going out and be like,
you should see what happens in that house.
The Nolberg house.
I don't know if they letting wild animals come in there.
Like, are the dogs toilet trained?
It's always post your Christmas party when you've,
you know,
you're sampling like 17 different types of booze.
You hear some kind of jacket of the onsuit of,
Hey, I kick, kick, kick, kick, kick.
What are they?
One and two things, call it the paintable classic
or the boomer memorial, because that is one that's going to be true.
We'll get the shirts made.
The boomer memorial.
Speak well of the dead.
So we're on it.
The trade freezes at one o'clock mountain.
It's 10.36 as we do this.
Artemi Panarin feels like everybody wants to get stuff done before the deadline.
Rasmus Anderson was dealt.
I'm sure there's some other things, but it feels, you tell me,
Is Panarin a Ranger in three hours from now?
Likely, just because that's a big file to close if you're Chris Dury and the New York Rangers.
And the fact that it's been percolating, it's been out there for several days now.
Makes you believe that if it were going to happen, it would have happened by now.
But again, I do have to allow some wiggle room in all of this because things can change with a simple phone call to Paul Theophanos,
who represents Artemian, and the message is, okay, you know,
we'll meet you at whatever specific ask you need on a contract extension.
Or Theo Fanos reaches back to some of the clubs that have explored interest and says,
you know, we've had a change of heart here.
And we're not as invested.
It's not paramount to this deal getting done that we get the extension.
I don't feel like the ladder is more likely, but you're drifting into a break here.
And then you've got a 12-day window.
and then the pressure kind of shifts back on Panarin to some degree.
So it seems unlikely it gets done between now and 1 o'clock,
but again,
stranger things have happened.
It's possible.
It's such a weird spot because Panarin controls the whole thing.
It's kind of like Giroux.
It's kind of like Marchand.
Yeah.
And so Chris Drury is going to get put in a tough spot here.
Because the team that if he says, I want to go to X,
yeah, hey, Jerry will give you a second.
Like, what do you do?
is a UFA this summer.
Yeah, he can't walk, right?
You just, and I mean, most believe that our time in Panarin is a high-quality guy who wants to chase the Stanley Cup.
Well, you're not chasing that Stanley Cup in July, you know, when you're picking your next favorite team.
But again, if there's, if there is a sudden or even a little bit of a change of philosophy or heart in this,
and he's willing to consider a team like Dallas as an example,
then I think Dallas would have some interest.
But Dallas horses this week said that their interest is now limited
and they're more likely to stand pat until the end of the Olympic break
and then see what's available to them when March 6 rolls around.
So there's a team that was interested,
was interested in Artem E. Panarin on a pure rental scenario that is backing off.
And guys, maybe that messaging is coming from across the board
with the exception of, you know, I think Washington is still pretty keen.
I'd be surprised if the Carolina hurricanes aren't still very keen,
but worst case scenario is the obvious one.
And that's Artemian pen-heron just saying, I've had enough.
And, you know, I'm just going to sit tight.
And I'm going to pick my best location in July, July 1, as an unrestricted free agent,
because I don't want to have to move twice.
That would be worst case.
Yeah.
So does this have those kind of Rasmus Anderson vibes where, at extension,
as part of a trade is great for the flames
because they would potentially get more in return
and that it gets
Yeah, it gets down to the points.
Okay, so there's not going to be,
if a Panarin deal is done,
is it safe to assume there's no extension?
No, I don't think that's entirely safe
because, you know, I think it was Pierre LeBron
who mentioned it on insider trading last night
that there's at least one club
that has pushed an extension in the territory of 40 million.
So we're assuming on a four-year term,
10 million a year.
that's less than what we understand he would prefer.
You know, I think he was more comfortable around 11 million per.
You know, and then his thinking is, hey, I've proven that I've been a point leader for the New York Rangers during my time here.
And I feel like I have four more good years.
So, you know, maybe if he likes the destination, we don't know which team would have been offering that 40 million,
or at least being comfortable in that conversation,
you know, maybe there is enough wiggle room between now and one o'clock
where the extension could be part of it.
That has to be what Panarin and Paul Thiophanos are expecting
or wanting or at least hoping for.
We talked a little bit about Dallas yesterday.
partially with what they're going to do with Jason Robertson.
He's got a contract that he needs at the end of the year, RFA.
I mean, Wyatt Johnston is a young superstar.
and Hayskin and Harley on the back end,
and I think the goal he's good,
and they've got random.
Jim Nill's a sharp guy.
Not to say that he's frugal necessarily,
but this is a team that's been to the final four.
It has been really close in a while,
and it feels like the window is still very much open.
What's your vibe on Jim Nill?
Does he take a plunge one of these years?
He didn't get Rasmus Anderson,
and it seemed like he'd be a great fit.
We keep hearing about Blake Coleman and other other players,
but I just wonder if he is so true to his instincts and his laurels,
if you will, that less is maybe.
Yeah.
Do they need someone to take more?
Do you know what I mean?
Yeah, that's fair.
Real shot D.
Always looking for a right shot D.
Always.
Every team in the league is looking for that piece.
And if you're Vegas,
that's why you were as.
dog on a bone as he ended up being in acquiring
Anderson. I think of Detroit
Red Wings as being a team that's
really looking for right shot D
right now. And just to get
back to Dallas here, you know, I
would defend Jimmy Nill.
He has more than once
swung for the fence. I mean, he's got
a very hungry owner there, right?
Tom Galardi and company
invest deeply. I mean,
the Dallas stars are a team that provides top
resources inside hockey
operations, ultimately with the goal to
the Stanley Cup. The challenge that they have this year is, of course, Jason Roberts
and as we're a circuit free agent. That contract is going to be a significant one, right?
He's now represented by Andy Scott and a longer Pat Brouson. And that's curious because
of the slew of players that Andy Scott already represents who play for the Dallas Stars.
I do feel Nill and the Stars are going to add something. I think they'd have keen interest in
Nazim Cadre if it weren't for the three years remaining on the contract.
But, you know, maybe they can be persuaded in that sense because, you know, maybe
NAS has some flexibility beyond this year or next year where he's willing to consider
other options outside of the team that he ends up with between now and the March 6th
trade deadline.
So I do think that Dallas, despite the fact that they've got their financial challenges
with Robertson moving forward, are going to be a team that does.
add something because they think they're legit and they are their top contending team
pinder did some math for us just before the before your segment we love math the the
the emminton oilers who the flames will play tonight are tied for top spot points wise in the
division but yet find themselves uh while it seems like the the the toronto may
beliefs are burning to the ground there's what one point one point seven rate
ratings played those two teams uh it's crazy it is crazy uh just thoughts on on edmonton they've made
their goalie move it doesn't look like it's been a massive improvement just yet any at all uh skinner's
been better it's gonna be a fun post uh olympics here up north yeah i mean i watched that leaf game last
night in edmonton and it was it was amusing to me uh you'd hear the go oilers go and then go leaves go right after
and I'm not sure which one was louder.
And that building at Edmonton deserves
and gets a ton of credit for how loud they are
and the environment that is created in Edmonton.
They just didn't have it last night.
And Toronto was all around better.
Toronto didn't seem to have any issues keeping up pace.
He was curious that I think the heat is going to be turned up on knoblock moving forward.
And already locally and probably across the province,
there's been that level of speculation.
And I'm not saying that it's.
change is coming. I'm not saying that.
But given the break and where the oilers are precariously in the standings, I think that
that noise is going to elevate. You know, I watched Andrew Mangiopani play last night.
Didn't play a lot after a turnover.
But early in the hockey game, man, you know, for a little guy, he had some bite.
You know, he went hard to the net. Got an Anthony stole ours face. The Leafs didn't like
that. They responded. But at least he was noticeable in that game. So, you know, I,
I mean, collectively hockey operations from Stan Bowman down is in the spotlight.
And I think that that comes with a territory when you're as top heavy as the Oilers are.
And when you make trades and you make decisions as they did in goal,
I mean, are they better now than they were with Stu Skinner?
It doesn't look like it to me.
I mean, the jury is still out.
We don't know that.
But, you know, they made some changes to their bottom six that haven't panned out,
Mount Jopani among them.
So I think there's a lot of developing pressure around that team.
Only team not to win three in a row still.
It's weird.
Yeah.
For the flames, it feels like it's kind of gone a little bit cold.
Now, Blake Coleman hasn't been playing, so maybe that's part of it.
He's not going to play until after the break.
And Codry hasn't been playing as well.
Yeah.
Prior to Christmas, he was tremendous.
He was their best player.
And now it's gone quiet.
I don't think that necessarily affects.
I think if a team is interested in cadre,
they're not going to look at a small sample size like that.
You mentioned three years,
the three years left.
And we've talked, obviously, for years.
We've been doing this show for so long.
Oh, God.
It was the immovable contract.
Too many years, too much money, too old of a player.
I said, well, three years.
Are teams, can they stomach three years?
Seven million?
They have one retention spot for salary.
Yeah.
feel like the flames would have to facilitate any deal, not just to boost up a return.
I just wonder, is it now, is that palatable as you talk to teams and GMs?
Yeah.
What kind of baggage are teams prepared to take on if they feel that player can maybe push them over?
Yeah, I mean a lot.
You know, I mean, you have to work within the parameters of the collective bargaining agreement.
You know, most of the teams that are interested in category are cap teams.
That's what they are.
and most are contending teams, right?
And Stanley Cup contending teams, by the way,
not just playoff contending teams.
You know, the salary retention is a complicated one
because obviously if you're in need of salary retention,
then you're also in a position where you feel like you can sweeten the deal
so Calgary is encouraged to retain.
They're not just doing it to help somebody out.
I mean, there has to be a tangible asset that's attached to that.
I think it gets more creative, though,
with the term remaining on Cadre's deal.
And by that, what I mean is, okay, well,
we know that the agent Darren Fieris is involved in this process to a degree.
I'm not saying that he has permission to speak to other clubs.
No, I mean, he respects Craig Conroy and what he's doing,
but I would think that you would have those type of conversations.
Okay, well, the team that's keenly interested is worried about those three years.
Okay, well, let's, you know, let me talk to the general manager there.
and maybe we can figure something out.
Now, there's nothing you can do with that contract.
Cadre has earned that contract,
but maybe there's a wink, wink, nudge,
where you talk about, okay, well,
you know, we do see the fit with Nazim Khadri
at Center Ice with us,
has a number two,
aren't a really good team,
and number three for the next two years after that,
it gets challenging.
So, you know, would there be an opportunity
where after two years,
we can get a little bit more creative,
and move him on somewhere else if he's still willing to play and he still has game left.
And I think that those conversations probably happen when you get to that point of being really
serious with the top three, top four teams that are actually in the trade mix now.
It just felt like one of those deals.
When you get into the last two, we talked about it for when this, I'm less afraid.
Just seeing how he's aged and how his play is.
So got it.
I'm not.
Okay, maybe the last year's not good.
But there's a lot of players that are not going to be.
very good in the last year.
Their deals.
I'm less concerned.
I'm both because I want to go.
Sounds rude.
I want to have gone.
Helps this team rebuild.
Right?
Like, I don't want to be holding the bag,
even though even if he is playing well,
because I don't think he's going to play well in a situation.
Like, Calgary is going to be in where there's no, you know what I mean?
So you're going to get worse and worse as a competitive guy in a non-competitive team.
So your appeal for other teams are going to go,
he's not playing as well.
Well, I think he thrives on competition.
So I'm kind of like he's playing fine.
Let's move on.
As a Flames organization, I don't think you need to maximize this asset.
Yeah.
Where it's just, you know what?
You've been great.
Better than we probably thought you were going to be.
With a team that isn't as good as we had hoped.
We brought you in to help us win, maybe take us over,
Didn't happen, blah, blah, blah.
You've still been great.
I don't need seven of Nazim Khadri.
I've got enough veteran guys here to be leaders.
Let's move him on.
Pay it forward.
He gets what he needs and we have assets.
And the longer is, I think the longer hold on him, the less chance you have.
Yeah.
And I honestly, I think that's their approach.
I mean, they're not getting peanuts for Cadre.
They're not.
I mean, he's a good player.
And despite the fact that we've already, you know,
talked about the contract and the issues that clubs have because of his age.
But those teams are trying to win a Stanley Cup this year and keep that window open.
So they're not offering nothing for Cadre.
And I look, I know Conroy is talking with a number of different teams.
And we know that the expression has been made.
It's not an ask for a trade like the Cadbury camp.
It's just an acknowledgement of the direction of the team to your point.
right and realizing okay well nas isn't a real good fit in that situation so get what you can
get for me do me a favor and send me to a contending team or let's talk about a trade to a
contending team and then we'll move from there where it might get a little bit more complicated
just for essence of conversation you know he doesn't have full trade protection 13 teams
you know what if a team that was a is a is a is a playoff team
or is one of those teams like Columbus as an example?
And I don't know that Columbus has interest,
but do we think Nazim Cadbury is going to jump up and down to go?
I don't know.
I mean, Columbus is on a heater right now.
Maybe he does.
But a team that isn't quite there or is maybe just a wild card team right now,
then I think it gets a little bit more dice.
Can you get me to Colorado?
Because I like that.
Why has Nassum even involved in the conversation?
Is this not Craig trading a guy and not?
using the 13 team list.
Yeah, that's fair.
You can have to be cut through it sometimes.
Yeah, some better than you do.
Yeah, you're right.
But that also gets around too, right?
Like, especially with a veteran player.
Well, how have, I get stuck in the middle of this.
I do because it's like, I think Craig is a good person and trying to do the right thing.
And if you get a bad rap around the league, because you traded cadre without having him hold your hand,
Well, but what well, maybe the flame should be a little more cutthroat and think about themselves if that's what they have to do.
I'm not sure they are.
Yeah.
I don't.
I, anyway, I don't think.
I don't think it's a big deal either way.
Move them.
Don't or it's still to me doesn't feel like a deal that gets done this year.
No, like before the deadline?
I do too.
I think it gets done.
I think so.
Yeah, I do.
I do.
And here's what we watch for, all right?
You know, we kind of just joke to mention Colorado.
All of a sudden, you see Chris McFarland starting to move out pieces,
and then he's making room for something, right?
And, you know, not just Colorado.
You could look at other clubs and come up with other examples.
But as soon as teams start moving pieces out,
then especially this time of year and leading up to the deadline,
then it becomes obvious.
And in terms of available centers,
they're just aren't that many guys.
They're just not.
It's a thin market.
It's a thin, thin market.
And he's a good player.
So there are some tough decisions that will be made,
but I think it gets done.
Now, speaking of that,
and I don't know if you did.
I spoke two months ago,
maybe a month and a half ago,
Rhett gave you instructions to go and advise Bill Zito
in Florida.
Break it up.
About, you know, it's not going to happen for you this year.
I'm right.
Start selling some things off.
Take the year.
Pick, hop.
and then come back next year with a vengeance.
Get the boys some rest too.
Yeah.
Rhett put the dirt on the Florida Panthers,
among some others,
but he says it's it.
Panthers are not making the playoffs this year.
But you just keep waiting because that's the way it's been.
Oh, they'll figure it out.
Oh, they don't,
games one to 20 don't matter.
The first 30 games don't.
The injuries is why you really have.
And then you get injuries and then some other teams
step up to play.
And now you're well back of a post-
season spot.
Yeah.
Well, I maybe wasn't buying what Rhett was selling back in the day when he said that.
But I'm on that side now.
I believe that.
And yeah, I mean, Billy Zito is, I wouldn't say that he's underground.
Yeah, it doesn't always show his cards to guys like me.
But, you know, he's been more quiet than I would say is usual.
And I think part of that is just embracing the direction of this team.
And how much of it is entirely out of their.
hands now we know sam bennett is going to the olympics brad marchand going to the olympics
you know is bennett 100% healthy no he's not brad marchan no he's not as well but what we don't know
is the significance and and whether or not you know either one of those guys is going to be dealing
with something something that lingers you know when they get back from italy well billy zito
would know that and when you combine that with everything that they've had to deal with with
primary injuries to so many different players.
Now it seems pretty obvious that this group needs a rest and reset.
And imagine how fired up they're going to be when they come back next season with everything
we've just talked about.
I mean, how do you not have the Florida Panthers, assuming they miss the playoffs,
how do you not have them in your top three, top five of Stanley Cup projections when going
in the next year?
I think you'd have to provide it they're healthy.
They've missed so many man games from Cruyoffs.
So nice.
Like the best players bark of he hasn't played all year.
Like Seth Jones has now been out a long amount of time.
Was it Luster Rinen with the Barbinae?
Chuck missed half a year.
Like it's incredible.
They're in the mix.
And like to see a team go to a cup four year, final four years in a row does not feel
possible.
That's what they were trying to do this year.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You can kind of hear it in listening to Palma race too, right?
Like he's never going to give up on the team.
There's no coach that is.
No player gives up despite where you're at in the standings.
guys are paid to coach and guys are paid to play.
But of late, he's been even more philosophical than he usually is.
I mean, he's a great quote.
But, you know, I saw two or three answers from him the other day where he was talking
about the lessons that are gained and learned through adversity.
And for me, I'm listening to him and I'm going, I know this man well.
I mean, he's giving the media terrific fodder.
They can build stories around this.
And they don't have to talk about,
you're very quickly getting into the mathematics of missing the playoffs.
They're not there yet, right?
So he's continuing to sell hope.
And maybe the adversity lessons that he's talking about are the lessons that they'll carry with them through the offseason
so that they are fully recharge for next year.
They have their draft picks.
That's good question.
I think that's part of it.
They don't have their first this year or next year.
But they don't need to restock.
They just need to get healthy.
They need to get healthy.
It doesn't hurt to add.
Sure, but they've traded the first next two years.
We sit here, we'll get you out of here, but just.
No worries.
Watching highlights as we sit here every day and just try and pump the tires for getting
younger and getting picks and that it doesn't need to be 10 years in the cold and in the
basement.
Watching the Islanders last night, it's like Matthew Schaefer is 18, 18 years old,
scores a goal at the end of the period and he's stick,
I stick at his tongue.
Like he's a,
he's a boy.
And he's just,
I was looking he's got 16 goals and 39 points.
The Islanders look like they are a completely different team from not that long ago when
they were old and tired.
And geez,
how do you ever get back?
Oh,
the goal is pretty good.
And the coach is whatever.
But that was an exciting bloody hockey game they played last night.
And they come back and win an overtime.
Yeah.
And incredible how much one player can do.
You know, when you go into that draft, I mean, of course, Matthew Schaefer was highly touted, obviously.
And people had expectations.
Nobody saw this coming.
And even through the first 20 games of the regular season, I think most of us are like, all right, at some point that she was going to drop.
This kid is going to come back down to earth, whatever his earth is, and things are going to settle.
Well, that hasn't happened.
and to a point where you see Matthew Darch, the general manager,
you know, doing what he's done in acquiring pieces to build around it
because this kid has been nothing but an injection for this overall organization,
not just this year.
So, yeah, I mean, I guess the caution flag that I put up,
and especially when you look to the June draft,
all right, we can expect Gavin McKenna and some of the other pieces
that are talked about in the top five of the draft are going to be good NHL.
players. Be careful watching Matthew Schaefer and thinking that Gavin McKenna or any of those guys
going on the top five are going to be that. There's never, ever a guarantee. He just happens to be,
when we overuse the word generational, by media, we do. I mean, how many generational players can
you have in one generation? That's right. Yeah. You know, does all of them. Yeah, they're all
generation. Every year drafted top three is generational. No. I mean, you have.
to have the skill set that puts you into that category and it appears Matthew Schaefer is in that
category you pick him or celebrini right now because that's my that'd be my counter for one generational
I'm taking so okay and second question you him or celebrini a year ago yeah yeah yeah yeah
celebrini a year ago says it's starting to like because I my thing was Schaefer was he was supposed to
be great but I don't did we no one thought super one not like this now no no I'm not
And not like this.
And I,
so I would take Celebrini
just because the body of the work is
bigger, right?
And, and,
um,
and I,
I still have concerns with any young defensemen.
I do.
And I don't,
I'm not projecting that this kid is again going to fall off.
But,
hmm.
I think there's a better chance of that than Macklin
Celebrini going backwards.
I just look at this ice time because we're talking about Porek here.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Load management.
Manage, man.
Schaefer's 24 minutes a night average.
He's 18.
He's 18.
He's 18.
He's 18 year old numbers.
It's pretty amazing.
He's like 20 games left.
Yeah, but Zane Perak is a big physical beast out there.
It's true.
Yeah.
Don't get red stuff.
Quickly get out of here, drag.
Any more tidying to do before the guests arrive or?
Well,
the cleaning staff just arrived here.
I'm surprised you didn't hear Tiny to Great Day and wolfing in the background.
How's tiny?
Oh, and by the way, I'm a lot.
actually not here for the guests. This is I was going to tell you to leave town. Yeah,
I'm going to tell a quick trigger story. So my lovely wife, Holly, 50th birthday, her birthday is February
2nd. So whenever the Super Bowl was on February 2nd, 5, 6 years ago, whatever it was,
she said all the right things. I always go to a cottage for Super Bowl weekend, my buddy in
Miss Goka. And I'm leaving Friday morning for the same cottage.
And she convinced me that her 50th birthday wasn't that big of a deal. So I went to the
cottage. I went to Super Bowl and left her here by herself on her 50th birthday. Yeah, that was a
problem for the next four years. I think she's finally gotten over it. Yeah. Yeah. So celebrate her birthday
the way we should. There's brave and there's stupid Drake. Yeah, that was stupid. That
I'm not, no, I'll own that one, man.
I was just plain stupidity.
But, yeah, I'm heading out Friday morning for the annual Super Bowl weekend.
What, who are you like?
Seattle.
Seattle.
Yeah, Seattle.
I don't like Seattle or I think for you.
Is it, this is as bland ho-hum a Super Bowl in terms of the pre-hype and all of that
that I can remember.
It'll be fine.
It'll be good.
You know, we'll have fun watching all the stuff.
But it just, it lacks, well, lacks the star power among
other things.
But anyway.
How's the curling go?
Is it on yet?
Have the Olympics started?
Yeah, we have the mixed doubles gone?
Two minutes away.
I'm just going to say, it's, it's common.
I've seen the promos for it.
I'm excited.
I'm looking forward to it.
Me too.
Can't wait.
Boomer, didn't you use to call play by play on radio and Brandon?
I know I did.
All I remember is sitting beside you at Olympic curling trials or men,
the Scotty's curling.
championships on a Sunday after being at the Breyer patch till about two and be like,
I yeah.
Dream.
I did play-by-play curling on Brandon and radio.
Yeah.
And we've got the Rizzy Coots Rock as the counter at the three o'clock position.
That's true.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, enjoy the weekend.
We're jealous.
Yes, we are.
Big pulled smoke beef going on the smoker tomorrow,
getting it all ready for the weekend.
The great ones make it look easy, as I say.
Thank you, Dreg's.
Thank you, guys.
Have a good weekend.
There you go.

Home comfort.
be like dregs just be comfortable comfortable yeah good comfort what did he say pulled beef pulled beef yeah
oh not to get away from that because you know i love it but watching the the the high like
matthew shaffer you talk about the total package when he was drafted because we know about you know
his mom the cancer that sort of thing so there's there's already that so a mature kid has gone through
so much you can't help but love the story in the kid goes number one is he any good well the
defensemen.
So, you know, you hate it those years.
You know, we talk about Buffalo, you know, Rasmasdali, you know, in power.
Those are the defensemen.
But your best player available, you take him and you hope for the best.
One of the first media things he does, he's shit talk in the Rangers.
Perfect.
So, okay.
So not only is he electrifying on the ice.
He's got a personality.
You watch him play in his face.
Like he's smiling.
He was sticking his tongue out like he's, he has energized the entire franchise.
The fans are coming out of their seats on the,
watching that game, it looked like a playoff game last night.
The last three drafts is crazy because with the hype,
Badard was the most hyped.
Then it was Celebrini.
And then Schaefer was like,
well,
he's going to be a good D man.
Yeah.
But to your point.
Well,
he didn't even play a second half of the year because he got heard of World Juniors.
And that helps,
you know,
sort of dull the excitement.
But it wasn't like next Bobby or McCart 2.0 is coming.
And not to say that he is that,
but it's closer to that than thought.
And yeah,
like you just don't know how these kids are going to translate.
We watch Macklin Celebrate.
you play college and like, yeah, he's good.
I mean, it's not Bidar.
And you're like, shit, like everyone would take him over Bard.
and Bidadard's phenomenal player right now.
Like, Celebrini is going to the Olympics and Crosby can't get close
enough to this kid and he's going to play monster minutes.
And he's single-handedly dragging the sharks into a playoff spot
sitting second or third and hard odds.
You think about the Islanders, just to jump back there.
Yeah.
It was, so they've got Brock Nelson and Anders Lee and J.G. Pajro,
these old guys.
And watching, like,
Pajos got 12 goals, Anders Lee,
he has put the boot,
this is Schaefer now,
has put the booster cables to those guys.
Like those guys are energized
because the team's playing better.
They're in a playoff spot.
There's attention on their team.
Who's given a shit about the islanders at all?
The last five,
10 years.
Can I make an interesting observation?
Please do.
I'll decide if it's interesting.
Okay, well, I'll make an observation and the comment.
Who'd they get rid of?
The GM?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Darsh is good.
Like they got rid of Lou who loved the old guys and that were standard and
no face and shared and all the above, right?
Like, and a fun.
And then oddly, what I'm trying to do is not very often is that the catalyst,
but it happened in Buffalo.
I got the GM.
You got the GM out of there.
Now the team starts playing well.
Are you losing Connie Finance?
I'm not losing Connie Finns.
I'm not losing Connie.
He's a sport.
What I'm losing is franchise and offense because.
when have the young guys come in it was once and we you still get the sense that the organization doesn't want to embrace it and it's like don't be dumb asses
the most excitement flames fans in this city have had since 2003 for f's sake godrow kachuk ben it was kind of in there monahan what you do you went got a bunch of kids that played their asses all right
and had fun. Oh, shame on up.
Why are you fighting this?
Yeah. Calling a fantasy hockey when it's based on every,
every team that's one of cup has been built.
Why are we fighting this?
I know. The other sneaky part of the Islanders did,
you know, like when they knew they won the draft lottery,
okay, we're picking one, we're going to get Schaefer. What do they do?
They dump that other.
They immediately turned Dobson into two picks in the teens.
So they're now not just a team that was really old that's got one young player.
They got two kids that they take it, I think, like 12, 13.
that are coming as well.
And that goes back to the GM.
And it's completely reset the entire organization.
And that's Darsh.
Because Lou ain't doing that.
And it was Eiserman, Breezebaud, Darsh in Tampa forever.
Like, pluck someone out of that org tree and you're in good, in good shape.
Oh, fire Conroy.
No, I don't mean the flames.
They've got the, they've done the GM part.
All right.
But like you, you watch those guys that, that worked on in that mini dynasty Tampa had.
Like, those are sharp cats.
The goalie's good in New York.
It is good.
You know, it's just not to again get pissy about it, but it just feels like more now than I think I can remember ever.
I mean, we got excited when the Chicago Blackhawks brought in Taves and Kay, like they were.
They were.
And that barn.
Like, maybe that's fantasy.
Okay, you hit two home runs.
Taves wasn't a first overall pick, but still, it just feels like right now more than ever,
youth is being served.
It is clear the path that teams should probably take to not, like you said, not only be good on the
but just to reinvigorate an entire team.
The ducks are exciting.
The Islanders are exciting.
The sharks are exciting.
Why not the flames?
What about that front office staff?
What about that team ownership that doesn't want that for their team?
You got a new build.
We can talk new building.
Why don't you get young and exciting?
I think they wanted.
Oh, we got to make the playoffs.
Got to squeeze into the play.
It's just, it's over.
It's lunatic.
I just, how many more young players do you need to see?
They don't want to say it.
They don't want to say the word.
But that's the stupidity of it.
It's to treat us all like, I'm trying not to swear today.
Oh, how's it going?
I think I've been okay.
But you're treating us like we're really dumb and our head is in the sand and we're.
We need more cadres.
And not that you have to answer to us even, but it's.
So that's your approach is you're going to have a grade or a three year old approach where,
Well, don't tell them it's bad.
Don't let little Johnny know we're actually rebuilding.
What?
Everyone knows what you're doing here.
Like, what are you talking?

You will be disconnecting,
probably without even knowing,
Where are you sitting restaurants?
Where are you, are you watching a movie?
Are you taking part in things?
Maybe things that you're avoiding could be for the better when all of a sudden you're back and engaged.
People of all ages will suffer from hearing loss, not just old people, kids, a lot of challenges for kids.
They don't know what kind of symptoms to be looking for.
And as we've talked about studies show health risks like dementia, depression, and others linked to untreated hearing loss.
Can I bring up actually a really good parenting point?
Oh, please do.
Because your kids get to a certain age.
This may or may not be brought to you by hearing loss.
This is definitely brought to you by hearing loss
and their great parenting coach, Rhett Warren.
You get kids to a certain age.
What do they do?
Ignore.
In one out the other.
But maybe they're not ignoring.
Getting their eyes check.
Go find out.
Go find out.
Maybe they don't hear you.
Maybe they're not ignoring you.
They're not taking your tremendous parenting.
Yes.
Not because they're stubborn.
Might be hearing loss.
It's a chance.
Get the kids in, get them checked out.
I got a hunch.
Listen to the hearing loss clinic parenting coach,
Rhett Warner.

Please consult your physician before taking any of Dr.
Retz.
That's a testimonial is what that is, right?
It's also a disclaimer.
Actually, I've had some issues lately.
Maybe I'm taking my boys in.
There you go.
Is that right?
Oh, maybe it's things, a lot of things are going.
Yes, yeah, it can't be that you're not hearing.
That's right.
Well, I said brush your teeth eight times.
Or maybe there's hearing that it couldn't be that he heard eight times.
It's still on that breath this day.
No way he would disrespect.
No, ignore.
Mua.
Is there any way?
I'll wait for that three, six, five.
Okay.
I got a good one, Ryan.
Good.
You know, it was interesting and not just because drags brought it up,
but I had said about about codry.
I kind of spaced out for a while.
Did you?
We might have seen that.
I was thinking about the ocean.
I saw a thing about treasures.
And I was like, if I found a treasure, how would I mark in the ocean where it was?
I would have the technology.
And I thought when I went fishing once, I had that floaty thing with the weight.
Yeah.
Would that work, Dino?
I found those things were more trouble than they're worth,
because then if you got a good fish on,
it's going to get tangled up in that string.
And then you're fighting.
This was for treasure.
Yeah.
Yes.
Amazing thought.
I would carry one with you whenever you're on the water.
I was listening to drags.
I didn't think about that at all.
No, I was not there.
The cadre deal,
it's not an easy one necessarily to make.
But I guess to me,
if I think it'd be real easy.
If you want to be a dick,
it's not even being a dick.
I mean, if you want to be more cutthroat,
you eat two million,
and you move them to one of the 18 teams
you're allowed to move them to, and you don't talk to Nass.
But if you want to be the nice guy, it's going to get caught.
What I'm more getting at is, as he said,
they're probably going to be cap teams that would be interested.
It's $7 million.
Well, you're, I understand,
but it's like a lot of those teams there with,
they're right up against it.
So you've got to be a little creative.
But I would think there's a market just,
we're so used to kind of, we can't have nice things.
If Cadreys says, I want out.
He's a lot of nice.
Okay.
And it's sure, not the,
Drake said it. We've been told it.
He has not said he wants to leave.
He has said, I would be
open to changing desk.
This is that three year old conversation again.
This is the polite way of saying,
it's not the three-year-old conversation.
It's not more different now.
It's more time has passed.
The contract has less years on it.
Like they're further down the road.
It's more obvious than ever.
That's what I'm saying.
Why are we beating around the bush?
He wise to get trained.
We all know what it's actually.
I just.
No one wants to look like a jerk,
but everyone knows what's happening who's going to be mad if you don't turn nassam cadry into a first
rounder not me but that's what i feel like they're trying like it's what are they looking for
if they want to be nice guys and just move them they i heard someone mention the brock nelson deal i'm like
there's no way in hell you're getting a first a top prospect plus plus for nasm cadre like if you're
waiting for that you're not getting it i would take a second and it'd be prospect right now because i know
you get back.
It's about your own draft pick getting higher this year.
And what I said, and I, well, now this is my own opinion,
but do you not agree that he's not going to look good on a bottom five team next year?
Like, how has he looked since they've fallen out of that we're close to the playoffs?
Like, a lot less cadre than when they were still believing.
Still crushing him.
Like, it's one of those things.
Some would say, oh, he's pouting.
Well, maybe.
He's not pouting.
Or it's hard to be motivated.
I was going to say, maybe he's just, he can't.
stomach.
Another losing year.
Doing it again, going through another non-playoff and they're further than they've
ever been.
And you can say, well, be a professional.
I think he does a good job of being professional.
But when you've actually been in a dog fight for a Stanley Cup and you're going,
it's February.
You've always talked about, well, who's going to play center then?
Is that part of?
No, because look, they cares.
The worst you are, the higher picks can be.
I think you try Zerry there for like, call up Sam Morton.
Whatever.
Okay.
Because you've, it's not going to be pretty, but you'll go.
You'll go.
Backland is one.
Well, that's why they resigned back in because I think they were hoping to get off
Caudre if they weren't good.
And, you know, I'm, you got one more year left on Frost.
Probably two years away from Russia and you're arriving.
Frost players are doing something with himself.
I'm better late three or four.
Like what?
No.
Well, I think because he was a first round pick and he was going to be this and he was going to be
that and it didn't work out in Philly.
So Calgary, you give him credit.
Let's take a stab at it.
And you're seeing more of the same where it's like,
you're very talented.
Yeah, he looks like fancy back.
There's a lot of points,
but he's got good skills.
Yeah, you're very talented,
but are you accomplishing anything?
Nice little run,
three goals and four games before the Toronto game.
So I'm with you.
Yeah.
He's not cemented himself as a number two center in the league.
Yes.
As a guy who's maybe a pass first playmaker,
he kind of, you know,
oh, look, yeah, I'm very shifty.
And he is, he's fairly,
you watch him play.
He's able to do.
a lot of things. There's not a lot of guys
who are putting the puck in the net for him on
the end of those passes either.
It's all part in person. I'm not saying, but
like he played in Philly and didn't put a points out. I just don't think he's
playing with there. Well, I mean, they were a bad
team. No, you're right, but some on this team,
on the, they're low scoring team. Letting anybody off the
hook, but also when you're sifting
passes to pick
player X. It's playing with Huberto and Gridden right now.
Which probably makes your point. And Gridden is
scored the other night.
Anyway. But again, I would
He's a three seat. I would love
to have Gridden and somebody else.
Team will feel different if there's a
cadre deal. Yeah, it's a
realization that's in front of everyone's face
and you can't keep lying to your phone.
I hope you guys are right. I hope that it
because it makes sense. I think
the flames, it's good to get out
out from under the contract. It makes
nothing but sense for them. They need to move on.
And for him, I do think
he helps a team. I think if you think
time.
He's such a competitor.
And it's the exact same human, but you watch
him in January after they've got one win in
seven, and you watch them win their
one point out of the playoffs at the end of December.
And it's just, here is a guy
that thrives on high level competition.
And he's looking at the team saying,
we're not even close this year.
Get me to a contender. I'm 35.
I've got three years left to try to get another cup.
Get me out of here. Now, he's not going to say it,
but you know that's what he wants.
I think he came here because he got more money than anywhere else,
but he also believed that this team was going to be an intending team.
That's what he was sold.
And if you just watched Jonathan Hebril put up 115 points,
you're like, they probably can do some winning.
No one saw that coming.
I didn't.
I didn't see it coming.
Tough times.
It's tough day.
I love it.
They moved him.
No food.
I'm going to put a son.
Sorry, what was that?
You kind of muttered out of the treasure if you mark it with the boy.
Maybe what you need is just to get you need to get away.
It's a jack going to the mountains.
Are the mountains calling, Jack?
I think they are boys.
Oh, Jack.
Native Rocky Mountain Resorts.
Flames are calling when he left us first the other day.
Emerald Lake Lodge.
Pinder has been, you should be winter at its most peaceful.
Beautiful.
I didn't realize.
I was doing a little reading.
I love reading.
Big reader.
The midwinter snowfall.
The snow's always falling down to the deep quiet on the car-free Emerald Lake Peninsula.
No vehicles.
Put your phone away and just listen to the.
To what?
The peaceful quiet.
Look at all the snow here.
This is like a month ago, boys.
Cross-country skiing on nearby Yoho trails, maybe soak up in the outdoor hot tub,
overlooking frozen Emerald Lake.

Yeah, sure for the other one.
Once again, Emerald Lake Lodge,
use the rate access code, barn burner,
when you book and get 15% off of your room.
Second floor in the lodge, it's like all board games,
huge snooker table.
I'm told the second largest snooker table in the country.
That makes it harder.
Fireplaces everywhere.
It's very hard because snuckertables have tight pockets
to begin with.
Tight.
Good time's up there.
CRMR.com is the website.
Don't forget that Barnburner access code.
We should go out there for Super Bowl, Jack.
You want to go?
Yep.
I feel like Jack's making plans without you.
Oh, I think all of you are.
Again, I said it the other day.
I don't know how I've ended up kind of being the walking sticks guy.
It's not my calling.
It's not who I am.
Tried and true rats.
We set our watch to them.
Yeah.
Who's here and the old Mardaloupes every day?
Yeah.
Oh, retro.
Bring him the joy
Yeah
We're in a construction
Yeah
Who's in Marteloupes
Dozen during Dregor
Can we find that
Or is that putting too much
That was a deep thought
Right before you cut
To full screen
I know
That's why
It's like I was laughing
And
No I was good
I screamed
Thanks
I'm glad
Sometimes when you
Because I get there
Sometimes you're so deep
I thought
You have to close your eyes
And just kind of let your head down
No it was the stupid
Kid about fucking hockey.
There's another appal.
Apparently.
Three days in a row.
What are you doing?
What are you doing?
You have to brink at 630.
I was driving in today.
I said, what the buy up to?
These donkeys.
NHLers I got in the back seats?
What are we talking about?
You missed the skate this morning.
6.30.
Wouldn't have made it.
I got to be there.
Oh, I got a skills guy.
Yeah.
That'll make a difference.
High skill player.
Stupid.
Ryan Pinda.
Ryan Pindoo.
It is Pender Report time.
We get to the news of the day
for our good friends in Village.
Honda.
Community they're located in the Northwest
Auto Mall.
They've got your winter ready SUV.
Well, they loan us a prelude.
You need a prelude.
Well,
the summer a prelude.
The amount's being unreal.
Prelude.
It's got the two motor hybrid.
It's all right.
It's got a steering wheel and
come on now.
Four times.
That's right.
You're the car guy.
It feels like summer.
But you keep saying four.
four by fours. They don't have four by fours. They're all wheel drives.
Yeah. So I'm all wheel drives. No, you say four, they got their four by four.
Anyway, go grab a Honda head to one by four. Like your, it's your ridge line. The
village Honda. It's an all wheel drive. It's an all wheel drive. That's correct. Yeah. Yeah.
Try to read that copy. I'd rather you read it. It's the pender or second, but
both hand it over there. Oh, get it started. Billichada.com, Northwest Automall. It's
go to, it is a game day, Helmonds.
The final edition of the Battle of Alberta Friends.
One of the last at the dome.
Third to final at the Saddle Dome.
Are you excited, Ryan?
Well, you know, whatever.
It's just one of 82, Dean.
Take it a day at a time.
You're slamming his hat on the floor,
screaming at the top of his lungs an hour ago.
I've spent it all.
It's a long show.
Thank you.
I was doing my best.
Nas and Cadreys opened to a move.
That's what we heard from Dregor.
It's we heard from others.
Demanding a trade.
A pod in the tubby.
It's not what he said.
Pike's got more.
Is it a futures deal?
Is it a hockey trade?
Flames Nation for more.
Okay, Pike.
What the hell does this mean?
Flames trade rumors, dot, dot, or whatever that thing is.
Open the futures deal or hockey trade.
So futures deal would be like, here's the first.
And a hockey trade to be like.
Comment that someone made or like what is what?
You got to read the article.
The headlines are going to hook you in.
What are all the comments?
Pike.
Yeah, 222.
God love.
Do you.
So look at the odds for tonight's game, shall we?
Battle of Alberta, you know?
Well, there's kind of the foot out the door at the Olympic break.
A little flat last night.
A little bit lazy.
No points for dry saddle or McDavid last night.
They stink.
They stink.
Favorite minus 1.35 in the money line.
Over under set at 6.5.
Who's in that?
I think Skinner East is in tonight because they ran
with Ingram last night.
He was good.
No.
Oh, they've both been shit, actually.
What happened?
I thought Ingram was the guy.
In the American League, he was, yeah.
He was through waivers.
Well, we should just send someone up there to check.
Skin Dog West is out in Pittsburgh.
He had a rough go last night, but it's been very good.
Skin Dog East is who they got back.
They had to have Kulex, another year terms,
some more money.
Not been good lately.
Yeah.
And Calvin Pinkard shockingly cleared waivers.
That guy.
Don't make fun of picks
Not a bit, just getting you up to deep
These are all transactions that have occurred
Where's their firm team?
Bakersfield, Baker's stabbing.
Stabby.
Here's your lineup.
Hello, Josh Samanski.
How are you today?
You're playing third line center for the Oilers?
Anytime goal Samansky.
Yeah, break it down right now.
Are they giving up first every year for forwards?
How is this guy playing third line center?
Why is a approach still that they need forwards?
They believe it.
I don't know what's in the water there.
It's like we keep looking at shitty goaltending and they're like,
we just need one more middle six forward.
Yeah, shitty goaltending and subpart defense.
But if we're on getting another forward,
if we could a third line forward,
we could really, really make things happen.
The decor looks like this.
It's actually not a bad decor.
Eckholm-Bouchard together.
That is the, well, everything that is Evan Bouchard
and the steady, Matthias Atcombe on the other side.
Nurse and Walman.
two of your favorite Surret, and Spencer Stassney and Ty Emerson on the third pair.
I feel like Bush made some plays that last night that might not be whiteboard worthy,
but that were, uh, he got scored.
That's his deal.
That is, he's both ends.
He's the roller coaster, man.
Comes out of both ends.
High event hockey.
It does, yeah.
It does it, dude.
Tonight's game, eight o'clock start.
It's the last one before the Olympic break.
Get ready for three weeks with no flames hockey.
I know you're going to miss it.
This one last flames, right?
Because there's games tomorrow.
And there are games tomorrow.
Last night for the flames.
Last night for the Oilers.
Adam Henrique on air, everyone else.
Elty.
And again, this is weird.
I'm proud of you for fun.
One team, absolute shambles,
fire the GM, torpedo the city.
The other team,
ah, it's a cup contender.
They're going to figure out in the spring.
Well, where are the one point apart,
the Oilers and the Leafs.
That is insane.
One point.
Same games play.
Can I, Jack, I hate to put you on the spot
because I don't, you don't do anything.
But how about just,
the regular standings, not point
percentage.
Can we have that? I could stall
because I'm curious.
The games played so the kings
have three in hand, so that would knock
the orders. So do you want the West? Is that what you're
one of? But I'm worried
that Vegas isn't as good as we may be.
They've been on a rough little skid here.
Wow, Anderson and a shitty attitude.
Oh, there it is. Okay. All right. You heard it here
first. Shitty attitude Anderson. This isn't
what I was wanting to see. I wanted to see the guys
that are making the playoffs. That's the bottom
10. Jack's buying time.
The flames are fourth from the bottom.
They're starting. I think that's where they stay.
You know, I made that proclamation
the day about the Atlantic.
Right. I think this is where
the flames land.
Vancouver's putting on a clinic. Nobody is
looking awful like the Canucks these days.
Blues look lost at sea and their asks
are too high to actually get trades done. That's an
interesting thing. And the Rangers sent out another letter to
season ticket holders. We know that goes.
Again. Dr.
Dr.
Dore loves to type.
Big.
Bored warrior.
Jack.
Yeah.
It feels like time for another.
Did you have a typewriter when you were growing?
No.
Well, I don't know if we borrowed one, but I feel like I remember typing.
I remember having an electric typewriter felt like cheating because you still had the record.
You had to like really pound it.
It's like, well, it's like an electric.
It's not really.
Sorry.
I'm not all technological.
All right.
That's what I want a jack.
There we go.
So here's the thing.
Because they played as much as they have, they look pretty safe there.
But when games played or even, like, they're right there with Wild Card 2.
Yuck.
Yeah, like Seattle.
And the Pacific is a steaming pile of Fico matter, as noted earlier.
It's awful.
Seattle and Utah can both?
Because Utah would be ahead of them.
Like, they're Pacific, right?
They could be out of the playoffs by points percentage tonight with a loss.
Come on, Huska.
Let's go, boys.
F1, get on them.
Get one for the...
F2, get a other guy.
Gipper.
Is that what it was?
Pender can't.
When it comes to the Oilers, he can't do it.
Brett says, so not points.
Screw the tank.
Not points of percentage, but just in terms of points, that's right.
In terms of points percentage, the Oilers can be, well, we showed it.
I understand, Ryan.
I wanted to see all those other teams.
There's five teams from.
The good news.
Connor's going to come home from the Olympics.
Well rested.
I'm ready to be his best in Pindery's after the Four Nations last year.
You're going to blows groin on that shitty attest.
you know he's not the worst idea let's keep moving uh finals from last night
blue jackets shut out the devils flyers double up the cap senators that's a tough loss
oh i had a real cheeky one but sabers were leading against tampa and the third they blew it's
lost an overtime edgy too edgy really for us even it's on the personal side all right
we're talking about connor's you know i'm fine with that you go into florida you get three
out of four points you're doing just fine. That's a good trip, Sabres.
Outta boy, Linda.
Islanders get past Dan the man's penguins and overtime. What's going on?
What's going on? What do you mean?
They went on a six game heater. They've lost two in a row.
They're seven one and two in their last 10.
Stupid bird yesterday.
There is a rally bird we have to talk about. Leif's to beat the oil is that one in the sun.
We'll explain it in one moment. If you could just hold on for nine seconds.
The ducks double up the cracket.
Quickly, Kuturov on an absolute heater for the.
ages. His points in January alone, more than the Flames leading score all year. The Crackens
leading score all year. The Blues leading score all year and the Canucks leading score all year.
15 games he's played in 2026. He's got 39 points. Yeah, he's been out of two points per game
clip for over a month. 54 points in his last 23 games. Connors going to the Olympics and blows
growing like Brett said. This guy's going to be resting on a beach.
Come back win that art ross.
Now, would you go to a beach if you live on a beach?
Oh, Tampa, yeah.
I'm telling you.
Or do you go to the veil?
Oh, veil.
What?
You don't want the beach.
Why?
You want the pool.
It's like when you go on a hot holiday.
It's got to have the option of the beach.
You can walk on the beach is nice.
Fellas, they got a swim up bar.
They got a pool.
Two weeks.
Not everyone's a booze bag.
You can do bail.
the beach.
Dean.
I think I know my audience.
I think everyone is.
We mentioned the Islanders,
Schaefer,
and when there is talk of a rally bird,
let's revisit the action
with the Islanders last night.
Let's quickly note that there was an animal
had got onto the plane surface.
There is.
So what kind of a,
you're a birder, Dean,
you're a bird washer.
What is that?
Is that a swallow?
That's a chickadee.
Is that a chickadee?
Is that a tarmigan?
A petarmigan?
It's not an emu.
It's quite small.
Look at this thing here.
So it must have got through one of the cameras are flown over the glass,
not by the netting,
but there's a bird on,
right at the dasher by the glass.
This thing's flying around.
Well, yeah,
that's what birds do, right?
Yeah, they do fly.
I mean, some of them.
Yeah.
Is a penguin a bird?
Yes, flightless bird,
Dean.
Huh.
Southern Hemisphere, Antarctica,
flightless bird.
Roadrunners also flightless.
Emus,
ostrich is also flightless.
Oh, yeah.
I would feel ripped off.
That's not the side.
The bird was a flightless bird.
Mm-hmm.
Because you know all those other flighty birds?
Yeah.
They're rubbing it right in your bird face.
Yeah, maybe you swim like the penguin, though.
They're like swooping down at you.
So yeah, come on, get me.
Oh, you can't.
Mm, sorry.
Why don't you get down here?
Why don't you just stand just even ground?
Why don't you come on your, your little birdie talon things and we'll go toe to toe,
you chicken shit?
So anyway, this bird at the gate.
game Dean last night. Let's watch a highlight.
I would be the flightless bird too.
I can't catch a break. Chubby flightless bird.
You'd be the dodo. So watch this.
Here's Barzell.
Pay attention. Pay attention, Red.
Stop thinking about gold in the ocean.
Let's go.
Get off your phone.
I've got to find a way.
I'm sending you the bird that I thought you were bringing up.
It's different.
You can see there's a bird right around his shins.
Oh.
Oh.
You can be school.
Wait for it.
This way.
Here's the bird.
I ran into him.
Dude, I ran into him behind the net.
Poor guy.
Poor guy.
Poor guy.
Poor guy.
So the rally bird gets out there.
So the rally bird gets out there.
Yeah, seriously.
You got more snow in Long Island.
You're in Calgary.
What the hell's going on here?
Thank you, rally bird.
Come back for the playoffs.
Bird can't fly.
It's got a broken wing.
And off you go.
Then a cat comes by and just.
Schaefer was unreal again.
He scored again.
Is he going to hit 20 goals as a rookie defenseman?
He's got 16.
He's past Bobby Orr.
There's only, okay, points by 18-year-olds ever in the NHL.
Phil Hausley, 57, Rosmus Dahlene, 44.
He's at 38, on pace to pass Dahlene.
Did you play at 18?
No, and lockout.
Right.
And that was no good.
Not true.
I wasn't making that team.
Chris Armstrong almost made it that year.
What about Bobby Orr, though, right?
Well, tied in points, past him in goals.
Incredible stuff.
Megastead.
16th career goal, one back of Phil for the most ever.
Is he on the Olympic team?
Should be, but he's not.
Apparently Travis Sandheim and Colton Pareko and...
He's no bushbowm.
18.
So young.
So...
What were you doing, Dean?
Uh, I'd rather not say.
I was not getting laid for the sake of not, you know, not ruining my entire, the rest of my day.
I'd rather not say.
Now it's, I believe it's Liam O'Brien, tough guy for the Utah Mahmout.
Sure.
I think they call him like Big Tuna or something like that.
He's large.
Big Tuna.
It's a very popular teammate.
He's a tough guy, so fans love him.
A kid at the Mahmout game gets to meet Big Tuna.
Let's have a listen.
Amanda Kane is a bitch.
Vander Kaine is a bitch.
That usually you say hi.
He just comes in with that.
So I guess Kane and Big Tuna.
You like this stuff?
That's phenomenal.
It's like an eight-year-old.
Yeah.
Smacking of Ander-Kane.
No, the 80-year-old should get maybe disciplined.
And don't talk that way.
That's why your kid relates to all these videos.
Yeah, weird.
This doesn't happen.
Other people's kids.
Kangaroo, snakes, and mouthy kids.
Yeah, my kid.
walks up to some guy he doesn't know.
He's a bitch.
And big tune of those.
Hey, away, away, away.
I'm on Phil.
Hey, oh, hey, pop in.
Here we go.
Thank you, Mike.
So good. We played it to us.
So good.
Thanks for your support.
Trade freeze coming up 1 p.m. today.
A couple hours to get your deals in.
Sure seems quiet.
Sure does.
Does not feel imminent.
When did they take Panarin out of the lineup?
like a week ago for trading purposes.
Now you've got three weeks of the games.
He's going to sit for a month on ice here.
Would you pay him 11?
Not for, God.
I mean, he's good now.
He's what, 34?
And you probably won't get him at 11.
He wants 50 million dollars on extension.
He's like, you make the money in the years.
I don't care.
Just give me 50.
That is so much money.
But if you're a piece away, like that's the guy that gets you over the hump.
You could also just.
say I'm going here you're throwing sciatica no I got to call BS on some of this he wants to
play for a Stanley Cup because it's like well then you should say I'll go anywhere like you only got
a couple months to well but Marchand said I'm only going to one place that worked out he got the
yeah didn't for Iggy no it didn't did he say I'll only go to Florida yeah but that's okay
But then he didn't say, I want to go play for a cup.
He said, I'll go to Florida.
And that's what it sounds like Panarin's done as well.
He wants to be in Florida.
Caps a nightmare.
There's ways to do it.
Bill?
Tampa's interested.
Dallas wants him as a rental.
Washington wants him with term.
Bill's going to wake up with a bunch of old pricks on this team.
The thing with Panarin was he also wanted to go to New York.
Yep.
He wanted to play.
I don't think he wants to leave New York.
It's a jury that's burnt this thing to the
ground. It's like, you're a you. We're trading you. Okay. But you're a you Faye. See ya.
I don't know. I guess more to the point of what I was trying to say is I don't think Panarin feels
I think he likes New York. He wanted to go to New York. He's in New York. Yeah. And he's like,
I don't give a shit if you trade me, which means he doesn't really want to play for a cup. He's probably
just as happy to sit in New York. Why are you grimmison? And go into free agency and sign a contract.
I wouldn't be surprised that happens.
Dregor kind of alluded to that.
Yeah.
That here's what's going to, he'll say, I want to go to this place if you're going to trade me.
And they're going to say, well, we can't get a deal done because they got all the leverage.
You're screwing us.
He's like, fine.
I'm not going to wave anywhere.
I like it in New York.
Lose me for nothing.
See you.
I'll go the islanders.
Isn't he, he's the one that noodles,
criticizes for having the dry hair after the game.
Oh, yeah.
Did you remember his All-Star game in Toronto?
We were out there for that one?
He's a dry hair guy.
Maybe the worst all-star skills competition performance ever.
He could be as good as he wants to be.
It's phenomenal play.
And he was,
I just wanted,
because he was never on a cup winner with the Hawks.
He missed all that.
Then he was Columbus.
Came in.
Then it was like,
we're not going to be able to afford him.
So we got to trade him.
So we went to Columbus.
And then Stan Bowman,
you went to the Rangers.
He's a very good player.
I just, yeah,
I,
they won the President's trophy two years ago.
He's a great player.
But again,
I'm saying,
if you're looking at it right now,
he's 34.
I can't give that guy the money.
Well, that's what I do.
There's teams that are interested in that.
They'll say, we'll take him as a rental.
We don't want to pay him.
But he controls this entire thing.
No move.
Can't even send him to the miners.
And his hair is always dry.
So shaped head that one.
That in 34.
He should shave his head.
I'm tired of this.
Guys, they're cluing in to my lock and give a shit.
Because of my locks.
Tonight's games.
We'll take a peek.
Seven.
It's a little game we got here.
So we look at the games.
teams are playing and we have to name a player that played for both teams so we'll start with
Boston Florida Marsha Chicago Columbus you just named Terse
saw it saw Montreal Winnipey Frolek very good Minnesota Nashville Souter
yes very good yeah right yeah uh sharks avs uh Ritchie Hannan
we just got Hannah yeah nice good uh wings and mammut slash arizona's
Do we get to do Arizona?
Yeah.
Okay.
Same franchise.
Technically,
Datsa,
because they traded his contract there,
but no,
we won't accept that.
Okay.
There's got to be one that's really on.
It's got to be an easy one.
Chickren,
chick-dog?
No,
he was the draft picked up in the wings.
Skip,
St. Louis, Dallas.
You've done aught ten times.
Oat again's fine.
Oilers, flames.
Ladi Shmead, how could you Lottie?
Steyos, Steeos, sure.
Steve Smith, okay.
Vancouver, Vegas.
Fierzy.
Vancouver, Vegas.
Oh, it's like a fear, playoff at the golden nights.
He's not around.
Play-by-play.
The Nate Schmidt.
Nate.
Nate?
Yeah.
Schmidt, your pants.
Cracking Kings.
Almost can't do with the Cracket.
They haven't been here for like two minutes.
They would have got someone in that expansion draft.
So it's a test.
I'm aware of that.
It's the hired, but.
Dragon King going to be tough.
We'll leave that for a moment.
Go back to Detroit, Utah.
Is it death?
Did they eat his contract?
They did.
I noted that.
They didn't really play.
No.
Ah, it's time.
No one else.
Jack, help us out.
You've been useless today, buddy.
Jeez.
Jeez.
Jeez.
Ooh.
Anyone?
Which ones are we missing?
Seattle?
Oh, um,
Bob.
Gross.
Robert Lang.
Is he not a...
Bob Lang. He was a wing.
Robert Lang.
Oh, was he a coyote?
Pretty sure.
Lang went there as a free agent.
He was a penguin.
Sam Gagne? Was he a wing?
Yeah, that's a good one.
That boy, kill him.
Hello boy.
Cracking Kings.
Last one.
Robert Lang was a
American physicist,
origami artist and theorist.
Yeah, the origami artist.
That's the guy.
Born in Dayton, Ohio, he's renowned for merging mathematics and engineering with origami.
Well, and the other one made it be confused it because then he, what, Robert Long, like the, well, now who are you?
A full-scale replica of a black forest cuckoo-cook-clock.
Great stuff.
Who the hell's played for the Crack and the Kings?
The Cracket and the Kings?
The Crack and the King.
There hasn't been a lot of movies, too, that's a cracking and the king.
What if there's no heads have taken some duster in those things.
It doesn't mean to play.
No part of the organization could have been a depth guy.
Okay, I quit.
I have no idea.
Brutal comments.
Someone's going to have it.
That's failure.
Brutal.
I'll go to work over here.
You can work.
Back to you, Ryan.
See going.
Sunday, Red, big game.
Go to the mountains.
Go to Armour Lake Lodge.
Does Copatar ever play for the, no?
No, no, but never too late.
Got until the trade does it.
Dean, what are you going with?
Uh, big one, heads or tails plus 100 one each year.
Heads.
I like heads.
I like tails.
I always hands.
Dales never fails.
Dean's surprised.
I didn't know that.
Well,
I'm not buying into that shit.
As for the odds of the game itself,
yeah,
we've seen them for the last two weeks.
It's four and a half point.
Seattle favorite over New England.
It does not have a ton of buzz,
but it is the Super Bowl.
We'll be there with great snacks.
It's all about the food.
What's your first overall food draft pick,
Rets?
This year or all time?
Well,
just whatever.
I'm going to go with nachos.
Dino?
You got to add one,
to the, that party where everyone brings a dish,
a potluck.
I'll drop a lot of pressure here.
I'm going to, it's going to be,
wings, nachos.
I did the buffalo.
He did buffalo chicken dip.
Oh, I'm sorry.
I mean, yeah, you're not going to,
if there's wings on the table, you're taking.
Perfect.
Jack, what do you bring?
Damn, so the wings, the buffalo chicken dip,
and the nachos.
It's a good start.
Hmm.
What can I add to that?
I feel like.
Order it is.
Don't say a pack of men.
We need something at a potloth.
A potluck that's going to help us.
Please.
Can I be responsible for the drinks?
You're not going to go without.
He's kind of ducking at the question, but I'm okay with that.
Those three are the best.
Pizza, Jack.
Pizza is the answer, Jack.
Pizza's the answer, Jack.
Do you remember the Lions fan that got swung at
one of the games that was the Vikings are a plan or Cincinnati?
Is he suing him?
Well, he's suing them.
But it's not a crazy one.
It's D.K. McCaff.
a lion's fan Ryan Kennedy
filed a $100 million
loss
oh what you didn't want to ask for
$200 billion
like $100 million
cookie guy Alex Jones
get sued for up
and like a billion
he's like I didn't have buildings
I guess because he was on a podcast
that was really mouthy and starting
cutting people down and then he got things
loose lips
loose lips
100
100 milt.
Just.
Brian Dumlin.
Thank you.
Hey,
working.
It's an ugly one.
Thank you.
McDermine.
Ah, Curtis McDermine.
Big dude.
100 million, though.
What would we do?
Would we keep going with the short?
Oh, way.
You wouldn't see her hear from me ever again, right?
And I know I wouldn't hear you see from here.
I have bad news.
You're not going to be able to do the podcast anymore.
And the bad news,
I'm waiting for the bad way to get to the.
Dean sadly.
See, maybe this could turn out in our favor.
He was falsely branded.
So I need to say something edgy.
Yes.
Get criticized for it.
Yeah.
And then sue back.
So back.
Okay.
I get it.
I get it.
100 million.
That seems like a normal amount of money he would have made.
And we've got great lawyers.
I'm not sure to win.
I don't know what they want in party of this greasy scheme yours.
This case is totally getting that 100 million.
For sure.
That makes sense.
That's not crazy.
Good thing.
with the truth. Yeah, it'll be great.
It's going to buy a razor and a new hat.
Good work, bud. Calvary FC
announced some new jerseys today for the upcoming
season. Cavs season's not far away.
More jerseys.
Kind of like year one.
Going back to the white horizontal stripe.
Not bad.
What's our first reaction?
New clothing supplier this year.
They've gone from Macron to Hummel,
which is a Danish brand.
Love the Danes.
Now, is the caller a...
Collar's been there, but not as prominent.
Like it's got the line in it, it's got the button.
It's usually like a, you don't really notice it.
That's a very high profile color.
It's like a turtleneck, but a mock turtle neck.
Do you love a good mock turtleneck?
I don't know.
What's players?
You and Cousin Eddie?
I'm with you, Dean.
I love the jerseys.
Not sure about the collar.
I hate collars.
I hate suits.
I hate ties.
So maybe that's just me.
Can't wait to meet our studio audience today.
That's great.
Thank you.
Finally.
And finally, Sidney Crosby still dresses up for the games.
City of Buffalo, Rhett?
Yeah, the brother.
There's been some pain with the Bills.
There's been a long time waiting with the Sabres.
Nice little skit here to really sum up where Bills, the Sabers fans are at.
This has been great, but I just got my heart broken and I can't get hurt again right now.
But it's different this time.
Trust me, this is hard.
You look amazing.
It won't be like before.
I've changed.
Last time you made the playoffs, I had a Blackberry for a phone.
What's that?
I'm in a really rough place right now.
Okay, I'm sorry.
I can't do this.
Maybe next year.
He'll be back.
They always come back.
I'm having so much fun.
Look, we have to talk.
I'm really sorry.
Please don't do this.
You lost her groove after the Olympic break.
There's plenty of games left.
You can go on a winning streak.
It's going to be fine.
She was different.
I'll do this test.
You're so hot right now, Red.
I can tell you right now that's a bunch of phony baloney.
Oh, really?
It ain't that nice in Buffalo.
Fair.
It's true.
They're taking shots.
That is a southern location in the sun, blue sky.
It's never blue sky and buffalo in the winter.
The server at the table isn't wearing sweatpants.
That can't be Buffalo.
That's filmed somewhere else.
And there's no blondes.
They're all brunettes.
There you go.
Every one of them.
Like Italian culture.
Cracked the case.
Thank you.
That's your Pinda Report this Wednesday, February 4th for our good friends of Village Hana.
Retro, get that new prelude.
It's been reimagined.
It's back.
They brought it back.
Now in stock.
I got it for my girlfriend.
It's on the lot.
You what?
Wife.
Back in the day.
Oh,
got it.
Northwest Automol online at villageana.com,
your dealership for life.
I don't know if I like people.
Polka fun at the Sabres and the...
And that's the other jersey.
I didn't like that one.
Yeah, that was a weird one with the red,
reverse retro with the two knives.
Yeah, the sabers.
The slug.
Slug.
Slug's no good.
That one could go away.
Love.
That one reminds me of Denny.
Amel.
We like the old school one they're wearing now.
We also like the black goat head with the red trim.
That's acceptable.
They were really good in the slug one, though, right?
The Buffa Slug?
Yep.
Were they?
I thought that was in this last 14 years.
Oh, that's Danny Breyer.
That was Danny Wright.
He won the president.
Tim Connolly.
Remember that always concussed?
A terrific little center.
He got his knee wrecked.
And then they lost.
And then Edmond.
He's thinking it.
They would have beat the Oilers, too.
Hey, Chuck.
What are you doing over there?
I'm just seeing if there's any trades going on.
I can see the way his head was tilted that he wasn't paying attention.
I can't see your face.
I can't tell by your dumb Red Sox hat.
The way it was tilted.
He's on his voice.
Oh, no.
You're texting somebody?
No, no, no.
What times your pick up on Friday for the mountains?
NBA deals.
Nothing in the NHXO.
Have we mentioned the end?
This is the first time the NBA has been said on this.
That's the,
that's the basketball league, right?
NBA update.
Heaps.
It's our trade?
Dropping dimes.
We're not talking about NBA trades.
Tell me about level where, Jack.
Ryan, tell us about level where.
Me?
Well, guys, golf's like kind of having a moment, right?
It's having a moment right now.
It's having a moment.
Not just in the traditional sense.
Because it's like used to be so stuffy and up tight.
So buttoned up, you know.
Yeah.
Not anymore.
But now it's like athletes from all these.
other sports are like, I can get a new goal.
Football players, too. Basketball,
hockey football players. Even surfers?
Yeah. What?
This shift is exactly where Hurley
with level where collaboration comes together.
Two trusted brands.
Hurley brings the laid back board sports energy.
The collection pulls inspiration from Hawaiian
and coastal prints, relaxed, expressive,
rooted in lifestyle.
And then levelware takes that inspiration.
It takes it to life.
Performance driven.
Sustainably made apparel that's actually built to move and play.
The result of the Fairwaves Collection, modern golf silhouettes.
They're lighter, more wearable, less rigid, respectful of the game's roots, but not stuck in tradition.
No, sir.
Collection is live and available at Levelware's website to shop.
Go to levelware.com.
You can see the polos, the hoodies, the hats, the casuals, and more.
Levelware.com.
Maybe I should have done that instead of thinking about treasure.
Maybe.
Did some nice coastal vibe, Bill?
It's nice when they get some new clothes for when the weather warms up,
have some nice new shorts.
Warms up,
15 bloody degrees.
We're doing great.
Fair enough.
Which golf course is open right now.
Fair no.
Oh,
I like that hat.
Levelware.com.
Check it out.
Check it out.
So both of you guys are going to the Saddle Dome Rize Way time.
555.
Settledome Rizeway Place Court.
How much are you getting paid to go, Ryan?
I have not yet gotten any money to appear at the game,
but occasionally if it's a sweet or something,
I'll get a free drink.
See, that's not nice.
I'm just kind of take a shot at Red.
What did I do?
It's a bit of a rat.
Why would I get paid?
I used to work.
I'm not taking offense to that.
Red, are you getting paid to show up there tonight, Red?
I don't know what I'm doing at the game.
I'm going to go down there.
You go and write your name for money?
Told to show up.
Yeah.
Bring a good attitude.
That's what I can do.
Well, one for two is.
not bad. It's Hall of Fame
in baseball. I'll be there. You know what, though? I see
people's like, hey, I got my picture
take with Rett. It's like, well,
it's much happier than I ever see
him.
Yeah, we don't pose for pictures on set
very often. That's glad you're happy about
seeing Rett. Yeah.
Just because you two dusters
are cool.
You only hurt
the ones you love, Jack. It's true.
Yeah, when they stop hurting you, that's when you worry.
Are we stalling us out again?
Just relax.
Somebody's got to host this fucking show.
One guy's falling asleep looking at fucking...
Oh, grumpy bear, go back on vacation, quit pouting.
But if I had treasure in the ocean, because you've got anywhere to be.
I got to go, I got to eat.
He's got to plan his outfit for the game tonight.
Grumpy bear.
You fell asleep on the set.
Can we go back to that?
You're looking at pictures on the set.
I'm fighting a picture of having a picture of having.
Happy Rett.
Well, because that's what people are dying to see.
Do we have sleepy red Jack?
I know we, you've got to cut that by now.
Give you like a half hour leave.
Jack was looking at trade.
Jack full all sleep?
Well, I'm not sleeping.
Oh, you guys are Anthony Davis?
I could tell by the angle of his head.
It was Anthony Davis, yes.
So the raptors?
The North.
Washington.
Washington, Dave.
Washington.
That Luca trade worked out very well for them.
Oh, God.
Is that right?
I don't know what these teams
I don't know you
it was like the Gratzkyy all this crazy
right
that's
crazy deal
like MVP allowed the player
for a handful of assorted items
they traded Luca
I don't know who Lucas
Luca dauntage
it's not gonna work from Jack
Docs
Don't go back to sleep
Don't
Go back to sleep
I'm so pissed
Ah you do earth
the ones you love
That's great stuff
Bet $365 official gaming partner.
Oh, I remember I said earlier.
I had a good bet.
You were going to save it for the bets.
Saving it.
Now he's got to remember.
Game props, player props, totals, the money line.
Whatever your bet is, it's never ordinary at bet 365.
Before we get to these.
Just jump on my read.
That's okay.
God almighty.
Download the app.
Get in the game.
Must be 19 or old.
The odds of it remembering what his bet was?
No, I kind of remember.
I just don't remember what the number was.
I don't remember what the number was.
I'm going to take the end of between the flames and Oilers tonight.
Flames have been very good at low event hockey.
They're at home.
They have last change.
Oilers look like I've got a foot out the door to this Olympic break.
And Nikita Kutrov suddenly is five back of McDavid in points.
One guy is going to the Olympics and is going to be leaned on heavily.
The other will have a umbrella in a cocktail for the next two weeks.
Fresh as a Daisy returning.
plus 450 to win the Art Ross for Cooch.
Okay.
The highest, whatever, the least odds is Sorokin.
But I heard on the, who was it, they were playing?
Carolina.
Okay.
Buccy.
Bussy.
What's his record?
Like 23 and 2?
It's incredible.
It's phenomenal.
He's plus 5,000 to win the Vesna.
Really?
50.
How many games are left, 25?
Yeah, he's going to play most of them.
What do you think?
Bussie is 22, 3, and 1.
That is mental.
With a 2.24 and a 906.
Hmm?
Phenomenal, phenomenal, phenomenal.
It's not a bad poll by the retro, is it?
I like it.
I'm going right now.
You see me from stalling out here.
We do.
I do.
I don't even,
if he does that for this.
If he,
yes, if he,
if he does that after the break,
he'll be all rested up.
again. And from out of nowhere, right? Kind of out of nowhere.
I didn't pay that close attention. He's not young. He's in his late 20s. He's been a minor
league or it's absolutely out of nowhere. Cachetcock gets injured. They scramble. They find this guy
spent three years, the last three years with the Providence Bruins and the A. He was in the
East Coast in the 22, 23 season. He's 27. And now 22, 3 and 1.
It's almost like Devin Cooley's a little older, but it's a similar trajectory. Like,
Guy that's been around it, but never been like, here's your chance to be in NHL.
And now just comes in and is dominated.
And how don't you love that?
You know?
A great story.
Great bet, rat.
I would like to make that bet and win that bet.
I don't know.
I just put it down.
Five bucks turns in the 200.
All right.
Let's go.
I'm doing it.
And now tell me if I was lying.
Regarding about the man to my left, you're right, that, you know, sometimes he's on here.
He's a bit of a curmudgeon, maybe a little surly.
F-sharp, grumpy.
But you get him to the rink.
He talks, well, oh, the rink, this and that.
Oh, he's great.
Does this look like a guy who's upset being at the rink?
You tell me.
I mean, look at this guy.
That guy is loving life.
He's got long hair.
Mullets.
God, he's happy, eh?
What just happened?
This is a caption.
That photo would be a great contest.
Go and see that man tonight.
Try and find me.
Can you give us some of those smiles?
Side by side.
I almost wondered when I saw it if you were kind of one of those ones.
It looks like it, but is he telling a guy to,
you know, you're kind of mid-curs.
No.
That's, I used to play with old Dut-Dun.
Oh, he's a good buddy of mine from Saskatoon.
I feel like you're making fun of me for being out and being nice.
We're celebrating you because we love you.
I don't, again, I don't feel the love.
You don't celebrate?
You don't?
That's weird because it's very genuine.
And look how happy.
you are very genuine yeah let's do the super chats assuming we have some today i do see that there's

Or it's Chris Bob.
Is that why you're going tonight?
Is there a ceremony before the game?
Missed it.
Yeah, it's a small.
Is it tonight?
They should have told us.
You're so bashful.
I thought maybe it would let us know.
Wow.
That's why you'd be so happy in that photo.
They just told them.
They're taking 44 to the rats.
That's why I was falling asleep.
Thank you, working, man.
Nick for all five bucks.
Boom.
We have IF happening this weekend in Saskatoon.
Look it up.
Could be right up your alley.
Might not want to bring the offspring.
Don't know what that is.
I'm looking out.
All right.
Is this safe?
Take a look.
Can a browser do I need here.
Thank you, Nick.
Appreciate the advice.
I think.
Yeah, maybe.
What was it spelled that way?
What were the bars you were talking about before the show?
Izzy's.
Oh, dear.

Well, yes.
But Zane Perks started scoring
in four H.O. games.
Weaker for
top prospect.
I don't think it happens.
It would be my guess.
Oh, dear.

He doesn't like me in all.
No.
Fire Jack would suggest.
Are those orange and blue?
They are?
Okay, so he's an oil.
I don't like that.
Thanks for the 279, you cheap.
Oh, another 279.
Oh, wow.
Get off your wallet, you fuck.
I'm glad my E, I finally came in today for Super Chat.
Oh, dear.
Well, yeah, hopefully it covers that.
We appreciate it.
It's for the kids, Al.

Is that where her house is work?
20 bucks.
Kenna ultimate one liner is here.
Thanks, Kenda.
Please disregard the previous super chat.
Al is an idiot.
Congrats to Bennett.
He should never have been left off the Olympic team in the first place.
Utah is making the rounds on a possible cadre trade.
What do they have that we want?
We know one thing, but I don't think they're giving that up.
I don't think we need to get anything in return.
No, but it's a bonus.
can aim for the stars and maybe land on the moon, hey?
I mean, I think if they got nothing back, if it was just Caudry for futures,
we'd have questions.
It came across the ticker and I'll be watching this afternoon.
For sure.
A couple hours.
The flames have traded Codry for nothing.
It would be, whatever.
And I don't mean that.
Committing to the R.B.
Good for NAS.
Good for the team to get a direction, pick the lane.
That's why I'm not GM.
though.
Yeah, maybe it seems new that it would take nothing to get cadre.
Not good at poker.
And I can eat any money, though, if you give me nothing.
That's right.
You'll take the whole seven.
Flying the oil.
Thank you, Ken, the ultimate one-liner is here.
Blackfoot 27.
699.
Already more than that, Al, dickhead.
Nothing cool to say.
Just have a good one, fellas.
Thank you, Blackfoot 27.
Thank you, Blackfoot.
Cheers.
Six and nine, nine, nine.
Billy Holvin.
Oh, Billy.
Simple dump chase question.
for old Bill today.
I've always wondered, fellas,
how where did all three of you meet?
Let's beat those greasy oil
drillers tonight.
You met at a radio station.
Yeah.
I met him at a wedding.
I met you at an earls before that,
but you were impressed, I didn't remember.
You were at a wedding, and your first
impressions were quite high.
My hot take was that he's a D.
Well, he's got away.
Those people.
Did he start humping your leg?
No, he told me he wrote everything in this world.
Stop it.
Holy Christ.
I'm at a weather.
He's a little too keen.
I saw Retton 08 when he was, well, 12, I should say.
It was 8 or 12 year last year.
He got paid me, he didn't play.
08.09.
08.
Oh, 8,09.
He was in a booth at Tin Palace, just stabbing ice with a straw, dejected.
It was over.
It was over.
He knew it was over.
He walked up.
I'm like, hello, sir.
Can I top up your water?
It's going to be okay, old pal.
And what about the wedding?
What was that interaction?
Because I noticed he scurried quickly past that one.
No, he wouldn't shut up about sports.
It was like, dude, I'm not here.
Like, rents a broadcast, I better talk to him about everything I know about all sports.
And that did not be, it was not received well.
The nice thing for me is that when I've had a few, I can be really understanding.
Mm-hmm.
Definitely that.
Why don't you pull up a chair?
you just look like
I'm curious to hear more
Are you sure you're in the right room
So you've read this completely wrong
Okay pivot
I'm going to go back to the dance floor
Arby to owl

We have one of those celebrity
boxing matches
for maybe some of our listeners.
I'll tell you, you know what it is?
It's the community that lives in the...
I know.
We have quite a community.
It's a street fight in there every day.
Yeah.
Thank you, Harvey.
Working man back in.
Dallas St. Loss.
How did you not say Hull?
Well, that's easier.
Because the ought got thrown out in a hurry,
and we just moved on.
You get one. Keep going.
Plus, you get points for how rare the guy is in the game.
I didn't know that.
What about repeat?
They don't care what reviews.
Okay.
Once we figure them all out, once all the matchups have come through, it's going to be easy.
Yeah.
Five bucks.
Fellas!
Picked up some temples the other day.
Had me feeling drunk off a couple.
Am I an alcoholic?
Hashtag fun.
Well, see, it's alcohol for beer, so I don't know that's supposed to do it.
Yeah, it's your brain.
Maybe you tricked yourself.
That's a hell of a life hack.
Yeah, your brain.
If you can pull that off.
What a move.
Yeah.
Again, this message,
brought to you by tent that's correct temple is a non-alcoholic beer light body clear-headed
temple golden logger a non-alcoholic beer that tastes like beer can confirm can confirm
so there's someone on the roof someone saw and something more construction yeah it would be nice
if literally the roof fell in on this podcast yeah you'd like that there's the sign we've how are things well
There's the sign we've been looking for.
The roof caved in.
Oh, really?
Financially?
No, literally.
Yeah, the actual roof landed on our set.
Is that it, Jack?
Yeah, let's do take it.
Oh, fuck.
This is so stupid.
Let me guess.
See, it's weird.
I have nine and a half percent chance of, I just.
Yeah, there it is.
See, he doesn't like, he doesn't like Game of Thrones or in this,
but Ryan doesn't like playing make-believe-believe.
I do like BMO and, uh,
Stress-free staff management with business.
We can just spin the wheel.
What this is. It's the taggathon.
Somebody's built a website using math, allegedly.
And what it does, it takes all the standings of from the night before and whoever
appoints percentages.
9.7% chance the flames have, according to this, on winning the draft lottery,
which is kind of two lotteries.
So I'm not sure that they have that.
They do.
Flames do nothing.
St. Louis.
That's four.
That's okay.
Top five.
Get that center.
Boring one.
That's pretty unavailable.
They're all kind of.
Unlike the others.
Hey, you weren't here on Friday when we hit Flames Pick at first.
Oh, that was good.
Great day to serve.
We needed something.
Beautiful.
Dead'sville.
Yeah.
It's like you're falling asleep.
I know.
Do we have that, Jack?
You've had 20.
Tomorrow.
Ah, that's for socials.
Noodles.
Jack.
Jamie McClainton will join us from.
Santa Clara, San Francisco?
Like, yeah, Santa Clara.
It's San Francisco.
It's not San Francisco.
It's such a football thing.
It's such a huge.
Where would they be stayed?
I'm not.
Because of noodles.
Like San Francisco is not where they play.
No, and it would also be packed down there.
If the Super Bowl's in town, there's a lot going on.
Where are the media are?
That's where he'll be.
California.
That's where he'll be.
And we have to remember to get that clip, Jack, from Overdrive.
Yes.
Are we wearing things tomorrow?
I mean.
I couldn't make it up.
Can you,
do you have it now so I can understand what I'm trying to find?
So we blow the cover or just deal with this tomorrow?
We can talk about it.
They have Pronger on the show.
Yeah.
And Nudels comes in and he's very proud of his new purchase.
And it's like a very kimono like sweater.
Like,
did he set it up before that or did it?
Was it just one of those things where came on and tried to play cool and they were all over them.
And then every guest came on went way out of their way to be in the
they're in the middle of a Pronger interview.
And Pronger is like,
they need to blow up the leaves.
And I would do this.
and O'Dog is spacing out
and he's texting like, what are you wearing?
Are you wearing a kimono?
And it's like a V-neck shirt.
But it like once that it wraps over the other.
It's like a house coat.
So we're wearing housecoats for noodles tomorrow.
Oh. No one's say we have a, uh, Kanichyuan.
Do you have a kimono somewhere?
You've got in a much trouble for stealing I'm out of Japan.
Back in it today.
Weird.
We did.
Team Canada was pissed.
Between that and drinking beers out of the vending machine at what, 15?
For those?
Yeah.
That's, let's deal with, I guess.
So he'll be on tomorrow.
We'll have two of the three on screen right now going to that match tonight.
What a match.
So some in-person account.
I can't watch because I'm in the back.
Yeah, he's signing autographs.
He's writing his name.
One person.
I don't really sign it autographs.
Nobody wants him out.
Hope he stays longer than Jack did at the hockey game the other night.
That's that one period overhits.
Again, you left after?
No, before they first.
Before the first.
Got so soft.
On-site.
It's not soft.
He got the call.
In fairness,
it's a call to the pigs.
In fairness,
we went to a game one time
and didn't make the anthem.
Yeah,
it gets you.
That is unbelievable.
That's maybe worse.
That's up to be.
I guess your childhood team.
Oh, my God.
What's this button do here?
So see you,
buddies.
