Perak is going to be a fascinating watch.
You notice him.
He's not Melbatoste.
He is not Melbatoste.
He's a spicy picante.
Yeah, he's a, I mean, the ball.
He's got it all.
And you're just going to have, you know what, two hands on the wheel, seatbelts on.
Yeah.
It's going to be a rocky ride.
People are going to hate the comp, the comp.
It's going to be high.
It's going to be lows.
It's going to be, whoa, that's amazing.
There's going to be a lot of Carlson and Bouchard in there, which is going to be a lot of Carlson
and Bouchard in there, which is going to scare people.
But again, he's the type of player that could have a 60 point drop
because he can actually get more than 60 points in this league.
It's offensive skill, offensive.
And there's going to be some events, adventures defensive.
He's got the, he could be one of those guys in the circus or whatever,
the juggles, things that are on fire and chainsaws.
There's not a lot of fear there.
It's just, whatever, all right.
Yeah.
You're right on the blue line.
There's two guys.
Are you just going to just, okay, well, sure.
All right.
That's how you're going to do that.
He is going to be amazing to watch because there's going to be some highlight real plays.
And then there will be some nights where you're walking out of the dome.
You're like, I can't believe we lost because he did that.
Man, I think Team Tank, what they really want is just like get this Rasmus thing done.
Don't get off to a hot start.
Start taking your calls and your Coleman's and your cadres.
These veterans that are still very good at the money they're currently making.
They'd be assets that would return a lot in trade.
Play the piss out of the young guys.
See what Zane's all about.
Oh, whoops.
It's a mistake in overtime.
Well, we didn't get a point.
we pick even higher in the draft, find another franchise center.
Like, it's not that simple, but you can see how one half of this fan base really wants
this to go.
For sure.
And then then there's the coaches who.
The exact opposite.
Yeah, I mean, they need to coach this player to get better and improve and okay, mistakes.
Well, we're going to learn from them, right?
We're going to try and turn the corner.
We just dial this back a bit, but like let the horse run, man.
We talked about it yesterday.
And I don't know if it's the answer because you had said,
Do you just put them on the second pair with Uyghur and just let the top pair?
It's like,
yes.
If Miramano can live with Uyghur for half a year,
like it's not crazy to suggest saying Peret could do it.
And you know what?
Maybe if you got a back to back,
you slide someone else in.
And if it's all too much,
or him,
send him to world juniors,
who cares?
He was playing with ball.
Well, he was last night.
He might.
He'd tell world juniors to go pound cent.
He might,
yeah,
he'd have that right.
The,
uh,
it was hurtful.
It was unnecessary.
Yeah,
it was.
So what did you say?
He's,
I was just saying he's he's the most noticeable.
And I wouldn't even say electrifying because you didn't really see that.
But he just has all the ability in the world.
And there was one play.
I kind of,
it would have been a spit take if I'd have had something in my yipper.
And I'm trying to remember because he was on the blue line, obviously.
And whoever was on the wall was looking to pass it back to him.
And he just took his stick.
And he's like, no, no, down low.
That way.
He didn't want this.
No, don't pass.
No, no, down there.
Just just.
He's playing chess.
Others are playing check.
Holy shit.
He's like,
no, no, move that down there.
That'll move that D over.
Then we slide it back and there's an open line.
Just whatever.
I can try and feed this pass through nine guys.
Nope,
didn't work.
Okay, scoop back.
I got it again.
All right.
Now what am I doing?
It's going to be quite a ride.
It is to repeat myself again.
But I just sat there and watched this,
this guy with a ton of talent.
And there's going to be some that will not have the appetite to sit and watch some of the mistakes
that are going to be made.
That'll be hard.
Can I give you a name of one of those people?
Like, it might be Ryan Huska.
Like, how is he going to be measured on his first NHL coaching gig?
And, like, people will say, like, oh, last year was so fun.
And you're like, okay, well, they were competitive and they were in every game,
but they painted a lot of Barnes last year.
Low event, strong structure, lean on our goalie, don't take risks.
Like, Zane Perreck does not fit that.
Joel Hanley does.
So if Ryan Huska, who's in the last year of his deal, we believe,
is trying to say, okay, I'm one of the lowest paid coaches in the league,
and I'm making chicken salad here out of, you know, like,
do you think he's like, let the horses run or he's going to be like, you know what?
I actually trust Miramano more on a third pair than correct.
What do you say?
Let these wild horses.
Yeah, wild horses couldn't drag me.
It is.
it's the you'd always rather have the
the rammy young stallion
who you try and bring in a little bit than trying to whip the shit out of
mules to get them to go right i don't need
whatever you've brought up all the names it feels like there's a lot of
friggin mules around yes you finally got somebody and it i mean
but it doesn't have to change your whole approach no it doesn't like for huska okay
if well if the guy's making a ton does does he sink huska's ship well i mean you could
have it could also be the raw
pocket ship that helps it could help power play one another two what was their falling up what was
their shortcoming wash well they can't score i yeah and here's the thing like you're saying oh this
or that won't sink their battleship this is a team that lost by a tie break last year they're
looking for any tiny edge they can find no i don't think the rest of the league sees them is the 96 point
league the sports books don't is anyone with a brain like let's be on but they do compete yes just last
year guarantee anything no so but last year no one thought they were even close to 96 and they're
like we were right you were wrong so they've got the chip on
their shoulder. It's them against the world, which it's very, they missed the playoffs.
I mean, no one said they were going to be 96 and miss. Everyone's thought they'd be like 78 and
picked up five to 10. And we had great reasons to feel that way. We all took the under on 81 half
points. You know, I was trying to hum and how they could get to 81 and that felt tough.
Like they, no one exceeded expectations last year more than the flames. Like maybe Columbus
could be in that conversation, but like nobody saw that coming up, those guys in the room.
So they're going to say, we don't care what you think of us. We think we're a point away.
Thank you.
