Hello, everyone. Welcome to another edition of Barn Burner. It's a beautiful day. It's a beautiful day. I was on a text with my mother-in-law yesterday.
She needed some information about an upcoming event. And I had that information that she needed. So I passed it along.
And event. She was saying, you know, I'm off to Winnipeg this weekend.
I'll be enjoying the indoors there as much as possible.
It's like, oh.
Oh, dear.
Chili?
Is it chilly?
Is it chilly out there?
Yeah.
Minus 23 here yesterday, here today.
That would be yesterday.
Into a bit of a cold snap now, going to carry for at least 10, 10 days, two weeks.
Oh.
Some blowing snow.
The neighbor towed me out this morning.
Oh, dear.
What's it like there?
I says, well, I'm in a vest right now.
The truck temp says plus two degrees.
We're doing okay.
We're okay.
So if you're taken for granted this weather we've been having, don't just don't do it.
Don't do it.
Don't do it.
You don't need to go far to find a place where it's maybe not as nice.
I want to find this so bad.
I wish my neighbor would tow me out.
Of?
I don't know.
Yeah.
Nothing I could tow it out of it.
It's not a lot of snow to last month.
You got a foot.
fetish. I don't trust it.
Different tell. They told me
out of anything. Hey, this
program is a presentation of Bet365.
Official gaming partner.
And dare I say,
like a best friend.
We're kind of like best friends, right?
It's warm, cozy blanket,
Dean. Love it. Game props,
player props, totals, the money line, whatever
your bet is, never, ever ordinary at
Bet, 365. Download the app. Get it
in the game and there you see it as I hit the horn.
Ah, the super
chapter, youth centers of Calgary.
Get into the chat.
You put a little money in there.
We take the money and get it to the youth centers so they can help, you know,
shape and mold today's youth.
And then we'll talk about you on this show.
And people are talking about this show.
Lots of chat.
A lot of buzz.
Talk of the town.
Feel very blessed.
Very blessed to know there's an audience out there.
Ryan and I did a thing the other night, a couple hours.
Two hours.
Two hours.
Two hours.
Two hours.
Is that doing numbers, Jack?
That thing?
Big numbers.
Yes, sir.
Really huge.
A hoose of numbers.
Huge.
That's the nice thing about this, you know, this, this podcast, YouTube, this thing.
The internet.
Shit's going down.
Fire up your phone.
Let's go.
Some hot takes.
Yeah, I didn't fire mine.
No, I know.
That's okay.
So, like, when?
Well, the instant analysis is generally fairly quickly after.
Well, when?
Well, we're doing a show tomorrow.
So, yeah, I was young.
Odd that I'd be sitting in my basement on a Sunday.
fire up the thing i guess you're flumby you had to go back home hey you were yeah well you know
guys i'm out in the town here but i'll uh make my way home and uh dean was out and about he was on the
main floor won't lie to you a little inconvenient on a sunday for me to have yeah i like traverse
the ice fields uh yeah sunday it's too bad because cj stroud and drake may were looking so good
you had to pull yourself away from you know what it did is it distracted me from that bears thing
for a little while i was on the side like a hell
He was in the Hawks game last night.
You see that?
O team playoff losses.
Don't talk to me about it.
I don't even get upset.
I'm upset,
but not upset because it's the bills.
You'd rather do it the charges way.
Allow only 16 points and get throttled by 13.
Anyway, fellas,
you know,
they don't want to hear us to pitch and moan about,
you know,
football anymore.
None of us have a team in the,
we can talk about later.
Getting a bad mood.
I'm in a good mood.
I don't want to start, you know.
Good mood. It was Blue Monday yesterday. You took the day off.
I did.
A hell of a moon.
What of? That was sneaky good.
I wish. I was going to grab the clip, but it was like you could, you know what I'm talking about.
I'm at the rink yesterday. It was the day that had been picked by our auction winner from the top shelf elf, the watch morning skate with Craig Conroy, then go to the game, that whole thing. That was yesterday.
That's right. It's a nice day. Great day to do it.
Great day to do it. Went down to the, and I was, because I was thinking afterwards,
like, ooh, so this is going to happen, right?
Because the Rass was the deal happened the night before.
This is happening a day of.
Craig can't be here.
Craig's really busy.
That'd be disappointing.
That'd be a bit of a letdown for the meet Craig Conroy.
Yeah, it's going to be.
Well, Craig got it off his plate because he knew he had a big thing coming up on Monday.
But Craig is, Craig is great.
He comes in and he's, he's Craig.
He's affable.
Oh, shucks.
Hey, guys.
How are you?
He's, uh, you know, he is exactly what you think.
is he's the nicest guy in the world he's a shrewd bastard yeah he's a shrewd character talking to him and we can
i don't want to spill too much tea you know you're an insider you're giving all those hot
takes yesterday i like because i i like i'm out the skate so i'm kind of said oh look coolly's
going to start uh coleman yellow jersey coolly starter snout and ret says the text we're doing a show
like i'm like my texts are getting in the road it's like well no shit
Dickhead, I'm giving you stuff.
Would it be nice to have somebody.
We mentioned it.
Hey, Coleman's on the ice for the first time.
Very help.
Really starting.
What the fucking bugging us for?
We're doing a show over here.
Have we ever talked about something like that?
Talking about popcorn here.
Could you get out of the way?
Talking about my ass fissures right now.
You could just keep that to a bare minimum.
So Craig was good?
Craig was good.
You know, the guys had a lot of questions.
Like, so what the hell that happened?
I thought it was going to be,
you and I on our thing, we were bang on.
Were we bang on?
It's no wonder.
So many people are watching.
God,
are we always right,
hey?
It's on it.
It's hard to be right as much as we're right.
You when we're wrong,
we're right.
Because we,
we often wonder what it must be like,
but you're on those phone calls and in those rooms.
That,
and we kind of surmise,
well,
once Anderson says,
I'm not signing an extension.
I will be,
you can trade me,
but I'm going as a U.S.
have not.
That teams decided, I don't,
I don't like our chances to resign this player.
And I'm not going to pay this.
I'm not going to give up these assets.
So are we concerned at all about the wellness of the league in that regard?
No.
So you're okay with the Dodgers?
Well, I don't think we have that issue in hockey.
The Dodgers payroll would be probably,
eight times the lowest payroll in baseball.
And you have a floor in the NHL that probably keeps you within 70%.
So not a direct comparison, but halves and have-nots.
Yeah, I'm not worried about that as much.
I think, I understand.
No, hey, look, I,
but it seems like it is half.
I think that there's,
there's reason to be fearful of it.
But I also think that when every team's in a spot to spend, they will.
Like, I don't worry about the Buffalo Sabres making the playoffs this year and being like,
well, we got to cut some payroll next year.
like I think they will
then who's a have not if it's not Buffalo
well the flames
but you're referring to it differently
well he said Dodgers so I'm assuming you're talking about
like halves and halves not it's not like
oh boy like Rasmus is never been a
standard out there right now that Vegas
and some of the
Vegas specifically
we talked about it yesterday
they're the hot broad in the barn
when they walk in everyone wants to go talk to her
yeah but we did yeah
maybe different words that rude but the hot
Rod's going to get old and there'll be another hot broad in five years it's not Vegas I mean
they've done an incredible job she's pretty hot really hot right now might be hot for a bit like this
we're talking Cindy Crawford Coca-Cola commercial like this is peak hot right now but that doesn't
last forever all everything cyclical okay I love you for how you've moved conversations
along yeah but but but his point is that there are some there's just some teams Boston can't
get Rasmus Anderson because they know they can't compete with Vegas in signing him.
If not in general, then certainly it seems like with this player.
Yeah, and look, if you traded me, you're going to trade him to Boston.
Okay.
So anyway, if you're months away from free agency, the player's right is to wait.
That point already.
You've told us it for over a year.
You can't even just say that, yes, it might be a concern or this is the reason.
I mean, you're trying to give it a reason.
reasons it's not, but it's not, oh, the right context.
I will, which is important.
Absolutely, Vegas is the place to be right now.
Absolutely, Florida is a place to be right now.
Am I worried about that being a long-term thing?
No.
In the sense that nobody wanted to play in Florida 10 years ago.
Nobody. They couldn't recruit flies.
And nothing changed except they started winning and got a competent owner.
So that's what every team should try to do.
Because there's no way that people are going to sign in Buffalo over Florida, ever.
The tax situation will,
loan is of enough consequential value that it won't buffalo can't keep up they have to pay significantly
more if it's a hundred million dollar cap rasmus anderson has to get 12 in buffalo but what if they're
winning that's even if they're winning but i'll throw what about when detroit they got everyone right
Detroit was they were a juggernaut they were winning the hall of famers guys were going there no salary
cap yeah and then they paid more we're saying the same thing yeah the rangers used to sign everyone
there was no salary cap they were shit
I still think number one on every guy's list is winning.
So when you're Vegas and you are winning or you're Florida and you are winning or your Dallas,
LA is not a good example because it's taxes.
Why isn't everyone racing to Edmonton then?
Pardon me?
Why isn't it everyone racing to Edmonton?
I don't think Evanston's a desirable market at all.
Well, that, holy flip.
Is that not just proving the whole fucking point?
So are we talking what haves or haves or nots or Raspis was not wanting to go to
Edmonton?
Like, what are we?
Well, I'm confused by your take on it.
My question at the start was,
is this a concern for the league that guys,
teams won't even make a trade for a guy
because they know they can't sign him because he wants to go to.
I don't think that's exactly what happened here.
I don't think you get that far down the road negotiating with a player
as the only team that has rights to negotiate with him.
And then all of a sudden he says,
I'm not going to sign.
Like, something happened here.
That's the only thing that explains it.
Is that not the whole point of what I'm saying?
Like they were this close to get,
Rasmus signed is kind of my point.
I don't think it was impossible for the Bruns.
This didn't happen. And Vegas will pay
a higher price for a quote rental because
they're confident they're going to sign the guy.
I think and then they're out of cap space.
I think it's almost the flip side,
whereas Vegas knows they don't have to spend as much
to trade for guys because they're going to get them anyway.
So Rasmus wants 10 from Sweeney and the Bruins
and I'll take seven and a half or eight here.
Sounds like it was close at eight times 8.75.
So I'd expect the number to be similar in Vegas, maybe a touch less because of the taxes.
But like the Vegas gold nights offered the most as a rental to Craig Conroy.
That's why he traded in there.
So they literally offered more as a rental.
And we just talked about why.
And again, so the point off the start was that once it became clear that RAS was wasn't
signing an extension, teams are like, well, the offers.
I'll give you this.
Yeah.
But it's not going to be close to what the offer was.
a minute ago or probably to what other teams are offering you.
So should I hang up the phone now?
I guess I'll hang up the phone now.
And at the end of the day, even though, because we talked about the other,
I just Vegas knows they're going to get the player anyway.
So they don't need to give a ton.
It's still a first and a player.
Now the player is someone that they signed as a free agent and the incoming player
is going to take a spot.
So it's not a, it's not like they actually lose much.
No, but it doesn't really matter where they got.
the guy.
Like it's,
the return for Craig is the return.
Yeah.
First,
a second that could become a first
in an unlikely scenario
that they're the best
out of 32 teams this year.
You got a prospect that probably plays
programs.
We don't know if he gets to the NHL or not.
And you got a guy that's a four,
five.
It's certainly a four for them right now.
That's a nice return for a rental.
Yeah.
It's just not a rental.
It's interesting that because McCriman is so cutthroat,
that he gave up a first.
Do you know what I mean?
It just feels like,
Well, I think it becomes too loud to tamper if that's...
I'll give you a second that because...
And maybe you're right.
That would be the sirens for me,
as if it's an underwhelming off for a rental.
Like, we typically don't see rental defensemen go for prices like that.
That's a really nice return.
And again, they're going to resign them.
But you'd be hard pressed to find a defenseman that moved in the last year of his deal
for more than what the flames just got for Rasmus.
Now, the picks are going to be late, but the roster player is a good player.
Like, he's playing over 1845 for the nights this year.
That's a good defenseman.
Is he a star?
Absolutely not.
Is he going to stop them from bottoming out a ton?
Probably.
But if you turned and tried to flip them at the deadline,
I think you're getting at least a second for White Cloud.
So if you got a first, two seconds,
one can become a first and a B prospect.
Like, that's a hell of a haul.
Unless things change,
I did not get the sense that this is a in,
in and out.
No, I think they should,
but I don't think they will.
Yeah, I think White Cloud is going to be here.
Which is crazy because they've got five right shots.
and it's like, how are we finding room for Perret?
Well, you don't have to move White Cloud,
but you've got to move somebody.
Yeah, and so maybe you move Pahal for a late pick or whatever,
but there's just, I don't really see a pathway for Perretto play anytime soon,
and that's going to be a challenge moving forward.
Verstavich is steady, and the coach knows what he's getting.
At some point, yeah.
Two other righties that are established NHLers.
How the hell do you get your top prospect into this league?
I would wait.
To me, it's, it's, you know, where do you put the cart in front or behind the horse?
Get Perrek in, let him play.
And when he shows, okay, he's pushing white, whoever, down.
I don't want to make the trade to make room and be like, ooh, it's because he might not be ready for another year or more.
Oh, right, he's 19.
He can always go pick up.
I want him.
You go out and prove that you're ready to take someone's job before I just silver platter it.
No question. I think this sort of more comes from the perspective, like the team tank fan is like,
you got a great chance to get a star player if you're picking in the top three or four of the draft.
If this team was committed to that, there's a really easy pathway to doing it.
You definitely flip White Cloud. You get more future assets and you start playing the piss out of your kids to figure out what they are and to see where they can have success.
Because if you're asking Zane Precht come in and play third pair of minutes, I don't know that he's going to succeed.
but if you're asking him to run PowerPlay 1, I think he can have some success.
I think that's what you'll say.
Based on what, though, and I'm throwing some cold water on it.
I'm of the opinion to play guys to find out.
The more they play, the easier it is.
Unless they're not capable.
Yeah.
And I've said this all along.
I would have played them.
I would have played him.
I would have played him.
They're not.
They're trying to bring him on.
They're smarter than him.
This is what they do.
He was getting injured.
He was injured.
They'd have been playing him if he was healthy.
Well, how much?
They weren't at the start?
Third pair in and out?
But the more he would play, you would, that would make itself clear.
Let me finish, though, because I'm going to where you were.
I don't think they were playing a baton at the start.
And I wonder if they're seeing something that we're not.
They clearly do not trust some of the flaws of his game,
but they also aren't allowing them to show the strengths of his game.
And they also at the start of the year, we're making playoffs.
And if you're going to cost.
Project 97.
Yeah.
So, I mean, last night for Stevin,
is playing on the power play.
That's great, right?
So that's good.
Obviously,
Perrek would be playing power play if he were still around.
I just,
I don't know.
I just kind of tend to.
I just want to see it until we see it.
I don't believe that.
But he hasn't been healthy.
Well,
he has a time.
And they didn't do it.
How many games?
I don't want to do this again.
But it's so,
how many minutes do you think he's averaging?
He's hardly,
it's not a big enough sample size to judge utilization.
I actually don't think you guys are arguing.
You're arguing just to argue.
He hasn't played.
He hasn't played.
And he has.
being injured. So it's fine. But has he played good enough even when he has played the little bit
that he has to say, I have to play. It's all of the above. He's not where you hope him to be.
and he hasn't been given an opportunity. And he's had injuries. And as a 19 year old, it's going to take
you time to get into the league and get comfortable and it down. He might be a 22 year old before he
starts to. He might be. And that is that is the profile of very, very high end offensive defensemen
that aren't great defensively.
They take quite a bit longer than the well-rounded D for obvious reasons.
It's tough for coaches to put them out,
which is why you wish this organization would have the foresight
to lift the white flag and actually say,
look, like if we're bad for this year,
it's only going to help us long term.
And you'll learn more about this kid rather than wonder.
What would it look like?
You move White Cloud.
You definitely move Coleman.
You take calls on cadre.
You get rid of a winger or two.
Just in terms of correct.
That's all we were talking about.
Slot him into the top four.
Give them an NHL caliber partner.
He hasn't had that all year.
He's never played with Weger.
He's going to be 15 to 20 minutes tonight on the power play.
That's what it is.
Yeah.
And give him a partner that's a top four defenseman.
Yeah.
Not a waiver claim.
Like you've only played him with waiver claims.
It's been like Bean, Hanley.
Bean.
And Pahal have been his partners.
Like,
what are you trying to turn him into?
Yeah.
No,
I understand.
Look,
I do believe it's everything.
I think that you know.
And I agree with what you're saying.
Like he hasn't really given them this.
this long stretch where they've been able to work him in,
I just worry about a pathway because I think they're going to trust
the steadiness of Bristewitch more than him.
And as long as Husk is trying to get in the playoffs,
which is his job?
He's not.
How are you going to get him in?
He's going to coach to win because that's what a coach has to do.
I don't think he's reality.
And I think that's part of,
I think that's part of what you saw with the,
why does Anderson get traded right now?
It's like, well, the coach is just like,
If guys are here, I'm going to play them.
If they're at practice, they're at morning skate,
I'm building my roster.
And I think that the discussion was had internally.
Okay, well, there's no extension.
So Boston is like all these other things.
Do we just now go back to work and status quo?
Because the injury concerns are still there.
It was already, well, should Rasmus be playing against the islanders?
When do you start sitting this guy?
Even the Chicago finale of the roadship?
You're already in that.
Yeah.
He's healthy.
He's played.
Unbelievable.
Just, just get them out of here.
Just make,
what's the most we can get?
Get it done.
So,
um,
and I,
the only reason I'm leaning into the preck chat is,
uh,
Bobby Germany and Michael is had a great nine minutes on like,
is the foundation,
sorry,
Kent,
thank you.
Um, Mike was on pregame.
Uh, the,
you made warmies.
Warmies.
Is this like the foundation of a relationship you,
believe is going to be very successful.
Or are you starting to see like,
uh-oh, did they either draft
something that they don't know how to work with
or that he might not be a fit with the philosophy?
And I'm not saying that is the case,
but there's certainly reasons to believe that could be the case.
I just think it's overblown.
I did too. I think it's too early too.
That your top prospects hardly playing.
But Ryan, you're just
you're showing out cheeky, shitty comments.
I'm not trying to be cheeky.
But you are throwing out cheeky, shitty comments.
He didn't play a lot. We just discussed it.
Yeah.
We just discussed it.
Now you're saying it's on the team and management's fault that they didn't play.
Well, I don't think he came in and knocked the socks off of anyone.
And it's great to say, play the piss out of them.
The other side of the argument is, no, you fucking earn it.
Are you good enough?
Earn it.
So was he outchanced or like caved in or not?
Kiss my ass with this.
Outchanced.
And he's supposed to put up points.
Was he putting up points?
No, he was not.
He was not putting a spot.
Well, there you go.
Was he injured?
He got hurt a lot.
Well, so what am I supposed to do as management and as a coach?
Wipe his ass for him and say, get back out there.
Come on.
Find a path for him to show his strength.
Well, you're acting like they've shut the door on this kid.
Like, well, so they kick him to the curb.
How many games?
Let's play the game.
Let's play the game.
Like, I'm not trying to be cheeky or anything like that.
I'm just, I'm literally think this is the most important player they have in their system right now.
And how have they mistreated him?
Well, I'm not saying they have or haven't.
I'm just trying to find the path for him to getting,
Get healthy and play better.
It's clear and simple for every player that ever wants to play.
Right.
So let's just look through the past.
I'm not trying to fight.
I'm presenting facts here.
He has an excellent world juniors.
He gets dinged up in it at the end.
Just let me finish.
Why can't I have a comment?
But I'm just,
I want you to react to this once it's all there, not halfway through.
He goes on the five game,
Rody.
They get home.
He's healthy enough to play.
And coming off an excellent world.
juniors for what he's great at.
Do they play him in the NHL or do they immediately sign him to the A?
His first games are in the A.
This was a great chance to get him into the lineup.
But you have, well, whoa, whoa, whoa.
So two things.
He did put up a bunch of points.
And I thought I took a shot at him because I thought it showed what he is in that goal,
empty net goal.
Here's a kid that is a stud offensively that isn't in it to win it.
That was a bullshit play at the end.
end of that game.
It didn't matter.
Probably didn't change the outcome.
But if you're a,
you think Jerome Ginnler would let that guy score?
Jerome Ginella would shoot his leg off.
Yeah.
No, he's not your own.
I get it.
So, well,
that matters.
It's,
it's not just,
hey,
I've got the puck and I'll piss around and do whatever I want and
score a few,
like you want guys that want to win.
There's a character test too.
And I don't think that that was a good sign of.
I agree with that.
And so then he,
then you're saying they didn't play him right away.
I thought he was injured.
So when he missed five games in a row, that opened the conditioning.
I understand, but he left the world juniors injured.
Right.
And so now that he's healthy, where is he playing?
Yes, but that's because they probably were already four games in.
That's the choice they made.
But they were four games into sitting him.
They're saying, we can sit you one more to finally, instead of doing five games further down the road.
Yeah.
And I mean, five games further down the road might put you into that Olympic window,
which would be some benefits from.
Maybe they want them to reset and get.
away from hockey. Maybe they want them in the gym that whole time. I don't know. I'm just curious
what the plan is. It's not your business to know what the plan is. It's their business.
No, and they don't have to tell me. I'm just curious. Like, if you're a fan of this team and you said,
like, who are some of the most important pieces for the next 10 years? Like, Zane Prex is going to be
very high in that list, if not the top for most people, because he's young and he's an extremely
high skilled player. And so, you know, I'm not saying, ooh, they put him in the A, look,
they hate him. No, but they could have played
him in the NHL at that point.
What is it? And I'm just curious
because I try
and speak your language and we've worked
together a long time and generally it feels
like you're a huge proponent of the
American hockey league and letting them cook
and letting your prospects come along.
But you are the end, you're the complete
opposite with this guy. You want him
in, you want him power play, you want him big
minutes, you want him and like,
no, you only have. He's played,
let me finish. He's played 11
fucking games.
Yeah.
And has been injured and has been,
he's proven to be putting himself in harm's way.
Yeah.
At what point do you look at it and say,
okay,
well,
we need to be smart with this player.
Let's send it with,
it's a condition extent.
Send it to the American hockey league,
which generally,
that's a great move.
That would be a smart thing.
He's 19.
He's a kid.
Send him there.
It just feels like with this guy.
It's backwards for me.
It's backwards for you.
And you're taking this, usually it's big picture to look at 11 games.
They haven't done this.
And the coaches, like, holy cow.
So you have one conditioning stint.
You have one bullet to use.
They've used it now.
That's the only different part.
Because if he had the ability to play in the American League all year, I'd be thrilled with that.
Why would you need to keep it?
But why is this a slight?
The bullet.
Why would you need to keep his conditioning?
This is why I personally am curious of what the plan is when this conditioning
is done. What do you think it would be?
Well, I hope it's not in the rafters more than playing.
That's my concern.
That will be dictated by his ability to perform.
Yeah, in the system that, yeah.
What do you mean? Yeah, you can't just throw a kid to the, I'm,
but you know how I feel.
Dougie Hamilton came here and I'm like, why end up,
would you trade for this guy and play him 14 minutes?
It's stupid.
Play them, play, I'm all for play.
Yeah.
But I'm also for.
And his play was also indicative of a guy that needed more minutes
When Dougie came in and this is that's just that's the point I'm saying is yes you have to be good enough to play
You have to earn it too you can't if he's if he's down at the dome moping around pouten I have no clue
But I may play them but he's got to be able to do it and that's what I keep saying is
They see more they see practice habits they see attitude they
there's something that is saying,
and at the start of the year,
they're thinking playoffs.
So he's been gone for it feels like two months.
His last game was November 7th,
and he played all of his games this year,
minus two in the month of October
when they were the worst team in the league.
But they still felt that they were going to be a playoff team.
That's on them.
They should wear that hat.
That is a mistake,
and you should have played them more than.
And look,
I don't probably go on the A for this,
whatever stint, whether it's five games or three or whatever the time limit is,
it's just that you also could have said, let's just see what it looks like for a game here.
Yeah, but I think, I think it, I don't just, but I think the point, well, then you have to sit another five.
My, that's just it.
I think my assumption is he came back from, from the tournament and was injured.
And they were like, well, we're four games into a five game.
You have to sit for five before we can send you down.
We may as well do it now.
That would be my assumption.
Yeah.
If he was injured for the first 10 days and couldn't play,
well, you might as well finish it off and go to the minors.
Yeah, and we don't know how hurt he was.
Like he clearly was self-in to play the gold medal game,
but it's also the NHL where he's been bumped around.
I just want to see when this is not.
The gold medal game.
Sorry, the bronze medal game.
They sure didn't.
What I want to see is the conditioning stint finishes
and that it isn't like eight minutes with a guy
that doesn't make most NHL teams,
and that's how he's going to be judged because that's not what you draft him to be.
And I also don't want to say, like, to Rett's point, here's 25 minutes your top pair,
but at least use the guy in the power playing stuff.
Like he, we're going to look at this body of work and say, well, he hasn't earned it.
And it's like, the whole fucking team was brutal in October.
Like, who was good in October?
No one.
They were the worst team in the league.
And that's the, well, look, he didn't earn it.
Well, like, who the fuck was he playing with it was good?
No one.
And was he good?
He was okay.
But, like, he definitely looked like he was adjusting to his.
first dozen games in the league.
All the above.
So I just wanted, I'm leery that you're in a spot after you use this conditioning
stint where Husk is like, he's not one of the six guys I trust the most.
And we're going to look at the end of the year and say, was this a lost year for Zame?
And what if it is?
That's the concern.
But what if it is?
What is the last year to do?
He'd be the only prospect that's ever had a year where?
No, it's just not ideal.
You'd rather it not be, right?
Sure. But so, but what if it is?
So it's like, did we, could you have done things differently to have it not lost or was this just going to go this way? I don't know.
Last year in the final game of the season against the LA Kings, he played 20 minutes and 31 seconds.
Got about a goal.
Had a goal. Yeah.
I just have a hard time in October when you're losing games and you can't afford mistakes that they didn't play the rookie who's prone to mistakes.
Yeah, I don't have a problem.
It's not bad coaching or hard to wrap your head around.
I don't have a problem.
In February, when you're third from the bottom,
I just feel like the situation is going to dictate a different role.
I really hope so.
Yeah.
I hope that happens.
I'm just, I am.
And maybe I'm just not that deep into,
I'm just surprised at the level of concern over an 11 game segment where there was
injuries that the coaching,
is going to hold this.
There's the problem with how he's being utilized and the coach isn't going to use him.
It really feels like kind of crazy over the top hockey market stuff.
Maybe.
Yeah.
And again, we're saying like 11, 12 games.
Like it's not.
He was healthy to probably play about what, 25 of them, right?
Like they're healthyed him a ton.
It's not like it's a month that he was healthy.
It's like I'm just, I want.
to be, if I'm a fan
of this team, I want to know
that player
development is a top priority.
Maybe that's what. And maybe this is part of it.
Or maybe it's, oh,
shoot, they're more obsessed with remaining
competitive than actually
helping this player progress and making next year
where it can really take a step. And we saw
Gridden and Bristavich on the power.
Yeah, great. So I, we're
there, I would think.
And I, the funny thing, and
this, it's the same.
next year he can go to the
and play 100 minutes a game.
Yeah.
And that's not, so,
so we want to see this happen this year at the NHL level,
even if he isn't ready for it.
And he might be in the AHL,
like,
which is on that he might be three years away
from being impactful at the NHL level.
I would like to get to the end of the year
and feel like you really knew where he was at in his game.
I don't think you will.
No.
I don't think you will.
Like to know whether he needs the A or whether he's ready for the NHL.
I don't think he's ready to step in
and show.
show you that he's undisputably should be being used 20 minutes that's just my gut and in my gut's
telling me that because of the way they've used them with the injuries the type of player he is
i didn't like what he did at world jr as good as he was at world juniors i think i just think that
you're going to walk out of this you're going or the rest of this year and it's like he's not a 20-minute
defenseman and it's fine and he doesn't have to 20 and i just have to 20 and i just
feel like the scrutiny is already so hard on on him like that's just it it's like this kid's failing
if he's not doesn't come in and get you 30 points throughout from now to the end of the year it's like no
you're a offensive defenseman and this is the NHL you're going to have to adjust and guess what
you might be in the A next year it is now an option you would love to know at the end of the year
if you're like you know what he is ready for the NHL next year or you know what he is going to need some
time in the A next year I hope they have
have clarity at the end of the year of where okay where's he at what kind of summer is
training cap next year yes it's a benefit to see what he's got to offer but i don't think it's
the end of the world to to just oh dear someone was here last week and had the nerve to eat breakfast
in front of us in a room full of hungry men
during brunch hours in front of fast and to not share food and see and
I was going to send a text that I felt bad.
We didn't get,
hey,
we didn't get a chance.
There was there something we want to talk.
You wanted to say,
because you came in,
you ate lunch and you left before we had a chance.
Oh, he's busy guy.
When in fact,
all he needed was a warm space to eat.
Oh,
he was just,
yeah.
He needed the couch.
Yeah.
He just needed a roof.
Turn the tube on.
Yeah.
Yeah.
He's just scrolling YouTube.
That's his bunk house.
Yeah.
Oh, let's finish the show.
So is that what this is?
This is guilt.
Here's the thing.
We have done.
fasting Mondays, everyone but Dean.
That's why we're arguing so much.
It's grumpy fucking Tuesdays.
It's grumpy Tuesdays.
Pardon my French.
So we have not eaten since Sunday dinner.
And apparently the good folks at Taco Time know that it's Taco Tuesdays.
Look at this.
Two dollar tacos every Tuesday.
Are you ready to break the fast red?
Because it is no longer fasting Monday and we have not eaten since Sunday.
Are we actually going to eat live?
Why the hell not?
I'm starving.
Spill.
Sour cream on my shirt.
Fine.
You shut my mic off, Jack.
The water thing's done.
You can wash as much clothes as you need to.
Oh, my God.
Look at all this.
What are we got?
We've got babies.
Food first.
Oh, these are the drinks.
Get these out of me.
We'll need those later.
So anyway,
flames lose last night.
Yeah, go ahead.
Dean.
Just soon would we actually ever run.
So what do we feel?
I think what,
what's your,
okay,
let's do a,
what do you think's going to be at the end of the year?
there you go thank you what's per ex good my gut is we're not going to be sure and he's going to
have to come to camp next year and play yeah i'm i feel that's the way and i also feel that
again like i said the scrutiny just really seems unusually high with this player ordinarily
if you're a first rounder it's patience don't you'll need to rush him he's highly skilled
it takes defensemen longer this whole thing yeah but right now it's he hasn't played enough
this coach isn't going to put him in the right spots it's easy who's he
playing with.
It's really, I go to that draft class and look at the D that you're taking after.
It doesn't matter.
Well, I think it does.
It doesn't.
It doesn't.
It doesn't.
Okay.
Why does where he was drafted impact what he actually is?
What if he was taken first overall?
What if he was taken a hundredth overall?
Well, it's a different.
Perth is who he is.
That's what it's the difference is.
Well, you need to adjust your expectations.
Once the draft is over, it's like we always say, well, Sam Bennett is the first,
well, you can't.
Michael Backlin, first rounder.
The drafts all, by now they are who they are.
I think it's a stab at a yard.
What pick was he?
Nine.
It's like, well, if Steve, William is playing 20 minutes.
You don't think.
No, it's just when you are evaluating how a team's performing, it would be very natural.
Mr. I love looking back at drafts to say, okay, like, who are the other guys that could
have had there?
How's their trajectory going and how does this guy rate?
Now, is development a race?
It's great for fans.
It's great for fans, but the team can't do that.
So they're not going to audit and,
look and say did we pick the right guy? What game tape do they look at?
Zeeve Boyeums or Zane Perrex to decide what Perak needs or need.
Different players. I totally get.
Like who gives a shit about the draft?
Like fans can.
Can I?
If fans want to, no, you, you said it and I'm reacting to it.
You do this all the time and you buy yourself time to backpedal on a bad point.
Like it doesn't matter where he was drafted for how much time
Coach Huska should be given him on a nightly basis.
Right?
Sure.
Look, I'm not saying that whether Zeeb Williams playing or not is the biggest deal,
but like you do start to wonder if this long term was the right pick, don't you?
Like how many years until you say, geez.
That's not the conversation.
You're talking about how much time he should be playing.
We're talking about all the above.
Like is this a fit with player and two?
I mean, we could, yeah, we could have the, should he have been drafted higher or lower,
should they have taken.
I mean, that's great.
But to, that is a big question.
But that isn't, do you know if he should be in the American hockey league?
Yeah, that's the real world analysis.
I'm looking at the Oregon saying, like,
is this the developmental environment that this guy needs to be in or not?
I don't know.
How is the-
What's in your hand?
What is that?
That looks on the table.
Jesus.
Keep going.
You're too.
I haven't eaten, Dean.
I need to eat.
I'm in a bad mood.
I think he is in a bad mood because his take on the Vegas thing was terrible.
What was my taking in the Vegas thing?
It's, it's.
My take on the Vegas thing is I like having a Dodgers organization because there's an evil empire.
So great.
But it is impacting the league.
Yeah, like we'll see.
The cap's growing so quick.
We're going to see whether teams just say, you know, we're never going to spend to X.
To this point, there hasn't been a team that's not gone to the cap aside from Arizona.
Everyone's been going there when they're competitive.
We'll see if that changes.
Like, if Columbus can go to the cap, we can all go to the cap.
but that's going to change when it gets to $125 million.
But it's changing as a result of growing league revenue.
Like you're getting bigger pieces of the pie on TV deals and such.
These talks are amazing.
Talks are really good.
When you're fast, you get really hungry.
I mean that one.
I'm dying here.
Yeah.
Thanks, Taco Time.
What do they call that?
Is that a...
What's this called this big thing?
Pardon me?
El Cruncho.
El Cruncho.
What a name.
Al Cruncho.
Yes.
Well, Buenos dees.
El Cruncho.
Senator Crunchel.
Right, man.
Lebe in.
Jack, are you diet?
Do you need some food?
No, I'm kidding.
There's one for you, but yeah.
I'm good right now.
I'm good right now.
Come on.
So is it true?
That's where the Taco Tuesday, like the Taco Town.
That's where that started, right?
That's a trade.
In 10 years, in 10 years, you'd be like the Riviggle.
That was you guys.
You trademarked that?
You trademarked that?
Hey, boom, got any t-shirts for us?
Got any t-shirts there, boom?
Hey, uh, I'm, I'm an Excel, boom.
Why I say Excel over?
Curse of popularity. What a great idea.
I'm like, and it's happening again.
Walker says shit, and then I get.
Oh, yeah.
That's right.
They're up in my grill crushing me.
Pinder does some fucking smarmy t-shirt.
Hey, boom, where's your t-shirts?
Some smarmy.
Pinder. Oh, so, so what's with these t-shirts? You did boom. Yeah. I didn't know. Were they at least
nice to you down there yesterday? Very nice. Yeah. Now, granted, I think absence is a part of that. If I was going every day,
I don't think people would be like, hey, how you doing? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. The once a year seems to be the right to, I don't know
about you. It feels like that's like, if I show up today, it's like, oh, is he back again? He was just here.
They just recognize that you're a powerful voice in the community, I think is what it is.
So they're kissing your ass.
It's what it is.
There's not a lot of kissing ass.
Hey, influencer.
Hey.
Hey, a guy that's highly critical on the internet and never comes around to face the music.
Good to see you.
Nice to see you.
We've not talked about the game last night.
I feel like now is the wrong time to bring it up when there's mouth full eloquish.
I'd say you throw to the Pender report and make them pop.
You son of us.
Well, I was going to say if it was pre-tape, I definitely would.
I don't know really how to pull it off.
I could play my Marshawn Lynch clip.
I'd be great.
Goodbye is about 30 seconds.
Oh, thank you.
Marshawn Lynch, remember he was a part of the hell of a player.
Hell of a player, part of the Legion of Boom.
Back in that era of the Seattle Seahawks.
It's your ball champ.
They put on quite a show on the weekend.
Unbelievable.
First play of the game.
Like, holy shit.
Someone had video from an apartment that just sort of looked through that little nook
triangle and you could see and hear the thing,
shaking and the guy running to the end zone.
You're like, that's how you start a football game.
That's good.
Like, Hillary, this made this trade for,
she's Shahee, this guy's done nothing.
A touchdown opening play.
Okay, well, good trade.
Good trade.
Well done.
He's been awesome in the return game.
Awesome.
And everybody loves Marciaun Lynch.
And did you get it on your shirt?
Last bite.
Lynch engaging with, he's proven to be kind of,
of a, you know, he could be like a media guy.
Oh, he's darling.
He's, he's very comfortable on camera, that sort of thing.
This was some, what looks to be post-game work that he was putting in after the blowout
win.
But Oos?
I love my Oos. He's a champion.
Why you crying?
We fucking lost, dog.
Why you cry?
Hey, man, we broke for the bag.
Come on, man.
Don't cry, Ouse.
You right, you're right.
It's good.
You know what they tell me.
They tell me, you get another chance next year.
Fuck you.
Fuck you.
Fuck you.
You're an 90 fan.
Yes, sir.
Fuck you.
Are you a 49er fan?
Yes, I am.
Fuck you.
Are you a 49er fan?
Absolutely.
Fuck you.
Fuck you.
Fuck you.
Fortinian man.
Fuck you.
Hey, you're a 49 fan.
Fuck you.
I mean, ordinarily, because it looks like they're in Vegas at a casino.
You're somewhere and some guy walks up.
Hey, you, fuck you.
You're like, okay.
We're just about to be a situation here.
When it's Marshawn, it's, well, you're a lovable guy.
And I'd have no chance in any hand-to-hand combat where it out take place.
You don't want that smoke.
No, no.
You do not want beast mode.
Who is he doing it for?
The NFL?
I don't know what.
Again, I don't know what.
I just saw it popping up.
He was going up to Niners fans and telling them to F off.
And remember, he went.
to Super Bowl and on the media
day, he literally said, I'm
just here so I don't get fine.
Every question, you're like, oh man, like,
apparently he's got like social anxiety
and then you see him post career, he's doing all
the social stuff. He hated the media.
And now he loves it. He's a darling.
Great at it. Really good. Yeah. He's buddies with
Mace. That's right. They were
drafted together. This guy named
Corey Mace. It's Canadian.
Canadian. Great guy.
See, here's the thing I'm
noticing. I'll do a read.
And as I like, because I feel like I'm buying time for Pinder to get ready to do the Pinder, but he's still eating.
So now I'm just basically buying him eating time to it.
We're probably 90 seconds.
All right.
Yeah.
Thank you.

when you know that at the end of the day
it's probably it's like why are you buying
why are you paying for these
earth mine things people are digging them out of the ground
they're all dirty they got to wash them off and stuff when you could buy
something that's built in a lab
It's perfect. It's pristine and it's 50, 60, 75% more affordable and less.
Just makes good sense.
So that's what you're about, Dean.
Fiscally responsible.
That's what I'm, that's what my wife says.
You know what?
You're awesome at saving money.
You're awesome at making smart financial choices.
Everything that you buy and that you own are things that are definitely necessary for day-to-day life.
All those plugs for your decreasing value.

I shouldn't say this.

Won't hurt you cause.
Doesn't hurt?
A lot of places it will.
You go into a lot of place.

It's the way of the, I was going to say the future.
It's just the way it's being done.
Get in.
And I'll tell you what.
If you bought one of those other things, you can feel silly, I guess.
And you should.
You probably should.

We do it for Village Honda.
It is the winter ready SUV events.
Jack and I are driving up to Jasper on Friday.
You're damn right.
We got a winter ready SUV as we trundle past glaciers, mountains,
15 feet of snow.
Check your inventory online at VillageHonda.com or get up to the lot in the northwest
automol.
We started Flames Nation.
Lots going on for the Calgary Flames, big trades, roster moves,
a game against the Hughes crew yesterday.
Oh, so they scored one and almost one.
Friggin' Cooley, this guy's playing well.
He's ruining the tank, boys.
I'm trying to remember the last.
Steels a point because there was one other game where he either allowed zero or one.
Pittsburgh, two Saturdays ago.
That's right.
It was Pittsburgh.
He stole points there.
This guy's sabotaging the rebuild.
Get him out of here.
That's an interesting take to on this show.
Look at this.
I bet you the guys will be very, very proud of my performance.
What the fuck, Coley?
What are you doing over there?
Where's the guy that allowed Aided in the preseason?
What about a 900 save percentage?
Leading the league and save percent.
Cool it.
Hey.
Goofy bass.
Having a great year.
We joke, but like this coming out of training camp was not seen as a potential outcome.
You would be put in a straight jacket and sent to an asylum if you said,
oh yeah, Devin Coolly is going to have the best counting stats in the NHL in
you know, the end of Jan. What?
A 2.18 goals against
top, say, percentage in the league,
been great. It was Carolina, November
30th, allowed one.
They lost in
whatever, overtime or shoot. I guess it was overtime, right?
Aho scored there. Allowed
one against in the Minnesota game.
Loss.
I mean, Pittsburgh. Oh, you don't win
when you score one? Not often.
Cool, he's trying.
Yeah, but how many goals did he get?
Yeah, his breakout pass was
no good.
Come on, Cooley, you're stuck at one point this year.
He's been great, really good.
Good news for the Calvary Flames.
You're getting healthy.
Marty Pospisal has not played an NHL game all year.
Been recalled from his conditioning stint,
down with the Wranglers.
Welcome back.
Yes.
Look, we're all nervous.
Concussions are tough, crazy head injuries.
You worry about a guy's future.
We also worried about Sidney Crosby at one point
when he missed, what, like 60 or 80 out of 100 games.
You hope Marty.
POSP still can come back,
be effective,
play his brand and stay healthy.
Yeah,
fingers crossed.
Crazy when you watch this,
again,
who knows,
it's brain injury.
The play in which he was injured,
if you said he's not going to be back
until January.
What?
What's happened?
Skated the next day.
Then he was down for a while.
Then he was up and skating in,
then down for a while.
Clearly a rocky path to get there.
He really wants to play at the Olympics.
Marty,
I'm still your guy.
Boom still loves you,
Marty.
You're still my guy.
Let's come on.
Get in there.
Be good.
Be physical. Don't, don't be afraid.
Hunting season officially closed.
Dryden Hunt goes down to make the transaction work
and we'll see whether Kirkland is the fourth line center.
If that's where Pospisal slides in,
he was playing center for the Wranglers last Friday
when we had the little turkeys at the game.
Hawaiian shirt day?
It was earlier that day.
That's correct.
Other Flames Nation conversations.
White Cloud, rock solid debut amidst a whirlwind move to Calgary.
That from Pike.
And I do have some intel on Flash.
I think wrote the game summary against the Devils, the dog.
Dogs name Bentley.
Passed in December.
Sorry, Flash.
Because there was the video.
Damn.
Yeah, I reached out today.
So, tease and peace, Flash.
Sorry, Flash.
White Cloud.
And we talk a lot about it.
I know guys are going to say the right thing.
But I think you would maybe be able to appreciate this.
You got your mouth pulling your eye.
Not to put you on the spot.
But when you were traded to Calgary,
we're like, hey, great, I'm already here.
I like this.
It's a similar tone, I'm led to believe, from White Cloud.
Brandon Guy, he's played, he's been in Vegas.
He's won the cup.
He knows what the Vegas thing is.
For him, it's my family is close.
They're a car ride away to come and watch me.
His one thing was, hey, I can drive my truck again.
I'm going to get my truck.
It's going to be great.
I'm fine with, he's playing a Canadian market.
It's going to be, it's going to be.
fun because he's done that and we get why that is awesome when you've never done it.
Right.
But it's like anything else.
Like, yeah, it's, I love it here.
You're from Western Canada.
That's great.
Yeah.
So, so Zach White Cloud, this was, it was not a, oh, man, I have to pack my stuff.
Like, hey, this is great.
It's also not going to say that.
Yeah.
And I'm sure.
He's going to.
I actually do believe that.
I do believe that.
He also said he wasn't surprised, like he didn't expect it.
But if you play in Vegas and you've seen how Kelly McMillan, or McCrimmon rolls.
Yeah.
Like, who's safe there?
No one.
Unless you're having the greatest year of your life and you're their top score,
everyone's.
Like,
I feel like Eichl and Stone can sleep fairly sound.
And Barner,
but like beyond that,
yeah,
totally.
Okay,
we'll continue to move on the schedule.
We will take a peek.
Actually,
you know what?
We got Cullen Potter news.
The flames with their second first rounder last year,
took Colin Potter who's playing at Arizona State University.
Mr.
Potter.
Mr.
Potter.
My kid's all over this guy.
He loves them.
Well,
bad news.
Have a look.
Oh, no.
This is Potter.
They don't play on Mondays.
Hizingo, falling on, likely done for the year.
And he's in pain.
That is not good.
I feel like that arm is out.
That shoulder.
Had a great season going.
17 points has lost 11, 26, and 24 games as a sophomore.
And it looks like a season might be done.
We're stacked with kids.
Henry Mews is out for the year, too.
Two prospects that are, seasons are cooked.
Hansick.
Hansa Kurt Perrek
done for the year
no
don't restart that one
I'm trying my hardest here
Wolf healthy
wolf good
so bad news on the prospect front for Potter
a shame having a great year
get healthy
be ready for camp young man let's go
come on Harry
that's what you're calling him I like that
Harry
yeah why not Harry Potter
What else you're called?
Is it two on the nose?
It's better than Pots.
What was the school?
That's what the Huck.
It's better.
Yeah.
Hogwarts?
You could call them Hogwarts.
No,
I don't know Harry Potter.
Griff,
Gryffindor.
Griffin.
Yeah.
It's just because you don't.
It's one of the most popular things in the world.
I know it is.
That in Game of Thrones.
I have no idea.
Somebody was like,
hey,
what's the family?
It's like,
the Targaryians.
Yeah.
The Lannister always pays its debts,
Dean.
For good or for bad.
Back to you.
I am.
I'm not a good.
So go the schedule, shall we?
They'll shove you.
If you want to talk about Charlie Pride
Country music songs, I'm your guy.
We can do that later.
I don't have anything in the Pinder report for that.
Kiss an angel, good morning, Ryan.
Sure.
Love her like the devil when you get back home.
King's Landing?
Hoggwards.
Shish.
Yeah, exactly.
Flames of Penguins coming up next.
Jack is a big penguins honk.
Jack, Dan the man.
Who's coming to the game with me?
Ryan, blew me off.
I got Kid Hockey.
Yeah, can't be blown.
I saw it firsthand. It was heartbreaking.
I got two ice times the one day the penguins are in town.
I got one team and like being around you.
You had them on the phone the other day.
Those are my kids.
The other kids are great.
Hey guys.
Someone else,
one of the other dads is going to have to take you.
Yes.
Yes.
Coach Pender's gone.
Finally.
Getting rid of coach mullet.
It's an exciting one.
How do we feel Jack hitting into the,
uh,
him as a coach?
The Jack Haberstock bowl.
I feel great about this one because they lost the last one.
Should be feisty.
It should be winning this one.
Lost of the flames.
They're second in the metro now.
They are second in the metro.
This is tomorrow.
You know what?
I need the Jack game day experience.
I need some video.
You should go with them.
That's good idea.
You don't have two ice times.
You're not busy at all.
What are you doing?
Ret take Jack.
I kept my promise, so I'm very busy.
You got a lot of shrapnel on your shirt.
That's improved.
You got a lot of Tato.
Cruncho.
You leave him alone.
I think, yeah.
I would like to see how, you know, what shitbox are you taking to park?
Like how you're getting there?
He's going to get screwed on parking and up to walk.
I'm taking the train.
Get off at the wrong stop.
Every time I saw it was his ticket.
Crowchild Classic sold out.
It's like, oh, Jack probably paid for half the building.
Doesn't have tickets.
Do you have tickets?
I don't have tickets yet because I've been trying to find someone to go with.
All right.
I'm going to go by myself?
No, you're friends.
True fan.
You should have a thousand Lugan buddies
trying to get hammered on a lot with you.
What's going on?
Yeah.
I wanted to go with one of you guys.
What were the odds of that?
That's cute,
but it's,
I mean,
no chance.
Pender told me he would.
Yeah,
and then the hockey skis.
That's very sweet,
Jack,
but I wish it was reciprocal.
That we would like to go with you.
Jack,
I'm sorry.
Now,
you will be going to this camp.
Sorry,
Ryan.
Just do what,
get into a suite.
Yeah.
I just kind of.
Smoose your way in there.
Get in there and just schmooze your way in.
Dump the salsa into the cheese sauce.
Oh, yeah.
Just say, hey, guys.
Murray Edwards is my grandpa.
I'm here to come see the game.
Let me in.
See what goes.
Thoughts?
Sure, I guess.
Okay.
Yep, done.
Can't wait for the report.
It'll be great video.
Thursday morning.
Great content.
Can't wait.
Can't wait.
Tackled by security.
Leo Carlson is out for the Olympics,
fellas.
Leo.
That might open a spot for Michael Becklin.
He's have a great year.
Would be cool to see him go to the Olympics.
Yes.
He has not been a favorite pick of the Swedes,
but he also did captain them at the Worlds a few years ago.
Best of luck to Mr. Backlin on that for his second year.
Yeah.
We need to see him.
It's thanks for, again, who else would be a candidate?
They have a lot of centers, but Leo getting hurt.
That opens a spot for sure.
Yeah.
I think he'd be on their first call.
Leadership.
Guy can win some draws, give you,
yeah, penalty kill.
One of the bottom teams of the league.
He's a plus player.
How?
Tough minutes.
How, guys?
How's he doing it?
Hey, Swedish coach.
Wherever the hell you are.
Smarting up.
Hey, Lars Lindemboff.
Yeah, Lars.
Come on.
I want to go, Lars, but I'm off to Bali.
Lars Lindbergh.
Yeah.
He should have been there in the first place.
You can write a wrong.
Here's what you can do.
We looked at the projected standings this morning.
Our friends at Bet365, every day before the game start, you can say, oh, we're
teams projected to go.
I know it's tough because they, you know, won back-to-back games, picked up another point
last night.
they continue to move out of the bottom of the bottom
into the medium of the bottom.
They are still projected for just 79 and a half points
that is tied for third worst in the league.
Only Chicago and Vancouver projected
to have less points at the end of the year.
Keep the faith, team tank.
Keep the faith.
Rasmister, I didn't drop them as much as I hoped.
Stinking, effective, white cloud.
My fingers crossed.
I'm just...
Come on, guys. Get a high pick, would you?
Here's your bottom 10.
and the NHL will show you exactly where they are that's getting tight there.
The Rangers, they're starting to do work.
My arms are getting weary.
My chest is getting tight.
I'm back.
I'm careful.
Chicago falling on harder times.
St. Louis and Vancouver looked like they are cut out for this.
They are going to be bad this year.
They will pick high and the jets are slowly getting it together.
The Hawks spoiled the Taves return last night.
A five-minute standing ovation.
Awesome.
For Taves back in Chicago.
where he lifted the cup three times.
Special stuff, if you haven't seen that, go find it.
We don't have five minutes to show you.
Too busy without crunch.
Columbus, undefeated with bones.
Bones.
Bones.
We do have a four minute and 58 seconds snake handling video.
Right.
But we can't show you the Jonathan Taves ovation.
Priorities, Dean.
It's not the Boomer Report.
I understand.
I'm just letting people know.
It's priorities.
And you're absolutely happy.
I have the notes here.
I had it written out, 458.
That's right.
Yeah.
last night results okay
Sabers losing Carolina
oh no they're hit the skids
abs lost at home
that's not going to happen much more
they pound the capitals in Denver last night
shocks big win in Matthew Cucs return
so pretty it wasn't even all him
although I'm sure he's very good
and the Rangers lost in the Chris Crider
Jacob Trubble get out of here you veterans
that helped us win for a decade
go to Anaheim and then you go lose to Anahehan
Sorry about that. Canucks are just putting on a clinic, fellas.
Now they're lost.
I can't follow your rationale on how you're breaking down.
Yeah, it's just,
just picking highland.
It's Pinder. It's what it is.
It's just Bing, Bing, Bing, Bing.
It's a pinball machine, the Pinder machine.
Any other outstanding results?
No, you should go in order to say the ball.
Well, it's 12 games.
That's a lot.
Got them.
It's a good news for Vancouver, though.
12.
Demco back?
Vote of confidence for the head coach.
Oh.
They got hired like four months.
You don't need to worry about anything.
So they don't want to pay three coaches those same time.
Got it.
It's always good to get.
Great.
I feel great now.
Yeah.
Adam foot.
Who, last place of the vote of confidence.
Love it.
Life's good.
Trade targets came out from the athletic today and updated post Rasmus list.
Let's take a look at it.
Who's front and center?
Chris Johnson.
Look at Cadreys front and center.
Holy moly.
Elias Patterson or Temi Panarin comes in at number one.
Now, Kie for Sherwood was traded.
could still be traded again by the sharks.
He's a free agent in the summer,
but as long as they're in a playoffs,
while they're going to keep.
Codry checks in at three.
Old friend Dougie Hamilton.
He's at four.
And we've got another flame cracking the top 10 jack.
Interesting to note to Blake Coleman,
also on this list at number nine.
Other notable names,
trocheck for the Rangers.
They got to be reloading in a big way,
rebuild whatever, reword,
not re-biggle, that's ours.
Petterson at seven.
Kotkinemi and the canes seem to be on different pages right now.
Centers are valuable.
We'll see if they can find a home for him.
And Stan, Koss and Marcioso have fallen with the Predators' great play last month.
They're further down the list.
Would you take that cockneyer?
I would, yeah, only because they don't have centers.
But if it would be contingent on you, better trade Rasmus than I'd take calls on Market Frost.
Well, they traded Rasmus.
Sorry, not Rasmus.
I mean, Nassum, it's centerman, yeah, Cadry.
I'll pass.
Yeah, it would be a stopgap thing.
Yeah, it doesn't really.
You found your future anything.
I would keep the assets for something down there.
He's probably 11 years younger than Nassum or something hilarious like that.
But yeah.
What are the odds that these two on the top 10 list from the flames actually?
I think you move one of the two, but both I don't see it because you only got one retention slot left.
Becoming a thing now.
I've been saying zero for two.
I'm staying with zero.
Okay.
Fair.
Luke Q's got hurt last night, fellas.
Don't know if you saw this.
Dislocated shoulder.
Not ideal for the devils, but it will keep Dougie in the lineup.
Put it up that back in, Dino.
Pop it in.
Pop it in.
Who was that guy that popped it out of some purpose?
Kotkin Yemi has two goals in 29 games.
Hasn't been going great.
No, thank you.
Yeah.
No, thanks.
He was doing who the favor?
That's the other thing.
I retracts my comment.
He's 25.
25?
That's the thing, right?
It's
She's figuring out
Kid
Turn on his deal too
We'll see what happens
They're slow Vax
They just can't get it go
It's true
It's from Finland
Okay
Tonight's
Tonight's game
Oh damn bell Russians
Let's play the game
We're playing the game
Here's the game
We look at the schedule
We name a player
This played for both teams
Did we do that yesterday
No
Damien wasn't here
And there was a huge slate
Oh my God
Okay
Mark Andre Bergeron
Oh, yes, good.
Okay, sharks, lightning.
Andre Waugh, no.
Who is it? Sunstrom, Patrick Sunstrom.
Okay, Sunquist, Sunström.
Oh, there's a guy that went originally, I forget, though.
We'll take Sunstrom for now.
We'll keep moving.
Ottawa, Columbus.
Geez.
Gus Nyquist.
He played for both.
Did Nyquist play for Ottawa?
I believe he was there for a bit.
Ooh, good.
Duchyne, Matt Duchyne, that's easier.
There you go.
That's Tyler Saganball, Boston, Dallas tonight, Buffalo, Nashville.
Who's the little centerman that played in Vancouver and got played forever?
Hudson.
Yep.
Cody Hodgson, very good.
St. Louis, Winnipeg, Steen.
Yeah.
Alex Steen.
Stasney.
Paul Stasney.
Good.
Well done, both of them.
Devils Oilers.
Craig Simpson.
It's a double?
It's a double.
It's the game.
Oh.
Um, someone like Craig.
Oh, Adam Larson.
Yeah.
There you go.
This is the Taylor Haldiel.
One for one.
Yeah.
It's the trade.
Rangers Kings.
Gavricov.
We did this Saturday.
Oh, Jason Arna.
What?
I'm so.
Was he?
Oh, I was going to say Kings and Rangers?
Oh, that makes more sense.
The one of both.
Kings and Rangers.
Wayne.
Wayne.
Wayne.
99.
Wainer.
I know that guy.
Wayne.
Wayne.
Wayne.
Bones.
Wayne.
NFL final four is set.
We'll take a peek at the bracket.
She's a gorgeous one.
It is not gorgeous at all.
It's not.
The bracket's good looking.
It's terrible.
Who gets you excited there?
Jared Stidham.
I can't wait to see a backup play in the conference.
The first game's already over.
You're going all pants on that one?
Our football picks coming up on Friday, by the way.
Both these games on Sunday.
There's three games left, and these are going to be two.
That kind of sucks.
I think Ram Ciyahs could be great.
That one might be okay, but I just don't like watching Seattle.
I don't like watching.
What do you hate about Seattle?
I don't know.
Sam Arnold?
It's a bunch of hippie losers.
No, hockey sacks.
Okay.
Gotcha.
They're all high.
We're high.
We're in a micro dose to watch.
Their hemp sweaters and making soap.
Hey, guys,
I got some seats for the game.
Yeah,
we'll go for sure.
It'd be fun to go to that game.
Going to the game with Jack.
It's staff daddy.
Matt Stafford trying to win another title.
Not thrilled with Staff Daddy.
No.
Well,
he did beat your team last week.
It would make sense.
That's your team's fault.
And listen,
it's fine.
But I just.
Sorry.
Two teams on the top, they're all seems like, well, their defense is good, but oh, geez, are they?
I don't know.
Denver at the best of the times.
I can't watch that shit.
And then the Rams, it's like, okay, well, you guys are good, but I kind of want you to get completely punched in the mouth by the Seahawks, I guess.
I can't believe I'll be cheering for the Seahawks.
Well, you're a big Sam Darnold guy.
You're a huge darnal guy.
I'm not.
Always have been.
Odds.
Let's take a look at Bet 365.
Who's favorite?
Lines did not move from you?
Yesterday they are staying steady.
We got a four and a half and a two and a half point spread.
It's a Patriots favorite on the road in Denver and is Seahawks favorite at home to Staff Daddy and the Rams.
Okay.
And thank you to bet three six five.
You know we love them.
But as the game concludes the other night.
Yeah.
With the game winning field goal for the Rams over the Bears.
It's very quick.
It's like, oh, overtime loss.
Just kind of.
phone ring phone buzzes congratulations you've what i had the under
you're 365 wants to congratulate you on your i'm still in mourning bet 365 these alerts

oh good old jeff love that guy of course we know a lot about jeff yeah well he hasn't heard us either
I guess.
He gets a job with the dolphins.
About time.
Jeff got a job, right?
He finally got through.
Every year we're sitting at the table.
Wins halfway.
And Robert Salah going to Tennessee,
a five-year deal for Bob Salah.
Sala?
Sure.
Thank you.
Sallel.
It's spelled S-A-L-H-M.
The stadium in Buffalo.
For a while, it was.
Still, lots of vacancies.
Bill's fresh.
Do you need a coach?
What happened?
Yeah, you weren't here.
I was serious.
I talked to Terry the other day,
I just said, listen, he's good, but he's not getting us over the,
through where we need to get to.
So let's find someone new.
And we know what's going to happen in Pittsburgh.
Oh, it's going to south.
It's got to be that old.
It's going to be Mike McCarthy.
Yes.
No, there's no way.
It has to be.
Why?
Because it would be so painful for you and it'd be good for the show.
Something for the show, Jack.
You could bring in a young coach, but they're going to be bringing the guy that's been around.
He'll coach for a few years.
Rogers will come back if you get your quarterback.
back you work through some tough times big mike's the guy big big mike and where's he from jack
pittsburgh pittsburgh it's rogers and mccarthy man i just maybe a year i could do a year well
they ever been together yes they've won a super bowl oh what like a decade ago it makes
undeniable when you sit when you put it that way where's the super bowl next year let's get flights
I can't believe no one's signed up for that Raiders, Joe.
Just have Tom Brady.
Yeah, literally.
Four vacancies filled, six remain.
That's the update in the head coaching landscape.
Finally, Browns, Raiders.
You're talking about your mother-in-law in Manitoba.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Well, we'll get to that later, I suppose.
We found this hot sauce.
It's called shit the bed.
For my mother-in-law?
That's right.
She doesn't like hot food at all.
Keep her warm.
come on now. It's cold out there. 12 out of 10, it says on the,
is this is possible. I believe this is from Australia, mate.
This is you in Mexico.
This was me in Mexico. I was trying to be the hero.
You have a margarita and a cup of hot sauce, please.
And then you didn't see you for three days because I was stuck in my washroom.
Damn it. That is your pain to report this Tuesday, January 20th.
What happened to the mother-in-law thing?
It's, we'll talk. Oh, it's not, that wasn't the hot sauce.
I've sent the stuff to Jack. We can do it later.
That's hard.
Love it, Jack.
It's cold in Manitoba.
It was supposed to be, like, insanely cold in Jasper.
Like, oh, no, what are we doing?
Right.
Because you're going this weekend.
We leave Friday after the show.
So this was the forecast, like, five days ago.
It was like highs in the mid-minus 20s, lows in the minus 30s.
Like, oh, what's the arena?
Like, no, no, it's a pond hockey tournament.
Wear all of your clothes, lose a few fingers,
and watch Oilers Nation stack the deck with,
better players than your team to steal our trophy.
Other than going to Jasper because it's gorgeous and beautiful and lovely,
I wouldn't hang out with those losers at all.
I wouldn't bring my skates.
I would be like,
Jack and I are here to spa and relax and watch.
I'm not exerting myself at all.
What are you doing here?
You play in 10 minutes?
No, I'll be in the sun.
No chance.
I'll be in my cabin with a lot.
Jack?
Yeah.
I don't really even want to play.
Like, I just kind of want to sit in the hot tub for.
Yes.
And that's what you should do.
the mountains.
Well, in fairness, your past behavior would suggest that's the case.
Yes.
Where you show up hungover and grumpy and doesn't skate.
I don't even have my helmet.
You didn't have your helmet.
Last year, Pinder had the wrong jersey.
I had the jerseys.
I just started one with the difference.
You had the wrong jersey, the Saturday morning game.
Lefted in the hotel room.
Yeah.
I'll just wear this one.
It's all the wrong sponsors that are not part of the event.
Anyway, your Pinda report, boys.
Thank you for our good friends in Villajonda,
the Northwest Automol.
If you're looking for a pre-owned vehicle,
they got over 90 units on the lot
and with their dealer group access to more than 500.
It's your dealership for life.
If you noticed anything?
Attitude changing with food.
Yes.
Food.
You're back.
Honestly,
you're not as big a potts as you were to start.
So I should apologize to my wife with the 10-round Muhammad Ali boat this morning.
No, those are good for those are good relationship builders.
Are they?
Okay.
Yeah, we got to battle through the peaks of the valleys or whatever.
Yeah, tough it out.
Jack still doesn't eat.
Can we get an El Crenshaw for him?
What the hell?
Jack's miserable.
He's so out of sorts.
He doesn't know what to do.
The Steelers have no coach.
He's worried about McCart.
He's on Tinder.
I got two tickets to the Penguins game.
You want to go on a date?
This good palpinder ditched him.
He doesn't know what to do.
Sorry, Jack.
Yeah, so for this game, that's tomorrow, right?
Tomorrow, yeah.
How are you?
I've got no plans.
I don't have tickets.
I got,
I got nothing.
Are you going to be proactive and try and make it happen?
Yes, I want to go.
This could be,
you never know.
I understand you want to go,
but are you going to.
This is like the shoveler planning for one of her kids' birthdays.
That's the day before.
It's like,
oh, so what are we going to do?
Get off your.
What are you talking?
It's tomorrow.
Maybe you should have another El Cruncho.
It's tomorrow, Jack.
I know it's tomorrow.
What are you waiting for?
He's getting it on it today.
All right.
I have faith he'll get to that game.
Confidence level he gets to the game out of 10.
If you can't get to.
Well, it's high,
but I don't think it's going to be because he grabs the bowl by the horns.
It would be something.
It would be like sympathy.
There would be some,
yeah.
I wonder if he has night class too.
That could complicate.
Yeah,
you have school tonight.
Studies.
School night.
Let's take a look at our bets.
Her bet,
36.
Love.
Well, we had football picks, Dean.
We thought we'd wait until you were back before we...
Thanks for waiting, guys.
Appreciate that.
Yeah, so good.
Bet365 official gaming partner of Barnberger.
Whenever the moment it's never ordinary at Bet365, there's fewer games.
We talked about it.
There's three games left, but the intensity is ratcheted up.
That means you've got to be on top of it.
Oh, it's the games already started.
Don't matter.
Get in there.
Watch the game.
Lines are moving.
Oh, my goodness.
How did I get Catoed for Seattle there?
They clearly won by a billion.
It's the wrong color.
right
Jack see this
that's killing him
he is
that's humbling right there
three and one for me
so Jack's wrong
it should be six and four
tied with Rhett
for leading the pack in the playoffs
yeah I went to
oh Jack
my daughter had her
ringette game
on Saturday
I guess it was
and came out
and the
Buffalo Denver game
was going to overtime
and the
it's like oh overtime
time 33 that is not under 46 my mouth is not great but 60 is a lot of points feels like more
it's a lot of points boy houston how bad was cj strut i don't know what you saw the first
if you're houston and you have that defense you're going uh we need to yeah from this guy they've got
general mills on the sideline you have a backup for this reason when your quarterback looks lost
and see go to the other guy you have a defense i can put up points you just need to stop turning over
the ball and you already dodged a bullet the week before right or quarterback yes can you do that to your
franchise quarterback he's not i don't know he is anymore prove he's not like this his third year yes his third year
his rookie year was strong i don't think they paid him yet he was drake may he was fine he wasn't
great well he didn't turn over the ball four times in the first half bow nick better he was good like
Yeah.
I don't think they paid them yet, Jack.
And I honestly think they should be shopped for a quarterback with that team.
Send them to Pittsburgh.
Good,
sure.
Get them stealer vibes.
Well,
this week's our week.
Yeah,
it is, Dean.
We're going to be so much.
The good news,
and you go three and oh the rest of the way.
You'll be over 500.
I mean,
I can give my picks now.
I'm kind of like with you.
It's,
I can't do that.
Gosh.
People really like to.
All that anticipation building up all week.
Do you think that's what happens is,
man,
wait for those guys to make their football picks.
Because I'm going to go the other way
and pay off my mortgage.
It's my dad's funeral, but they're about to do their football picks.
I've got to stay here for a moment.
Thank you, Bet365.
I'll tell you what, we're having fun with it.
That's all that matters, because we bet responsibly.
We're over 19.
We got the app on our phone.
It's never ordinary at Bet365.
Always feel a little bit disappointed if maybe you miss.
It's like, oh, I just shoot.
It's like the games are never as good when you didn't get a three six five.
I can go in now.
It's real time.
But man,
I like to get in there.
Three games left.
Don't mess it up.
Well,
got some supers today or no?
I think we got a couple.
Yeah,
we got a handful.
We can do that.
Kind of hungry.
He won't lie to you to keep eating.
I understand.
I don't get it.
I understand.
You don't get it.
You didn't fast.
That's true.
That's true.
I didn't fast.
I'm just hungry.
Super chat.
For the youth centers of Calgary,
money comes in on our YouTube chat as we go live.
We donate the money on your behalf to the youth centers of Calgary.
It's a something there, 279.
Zero chapters, Jack.
We had a deal signed patches.
That patches O'Hulahan?
We did the book club yesterday.
Jack still has not finished a chapter of his book.
He's not opening the book, I don't think.
But I thought he's going to class, these night classes.
What's he doing?
That's history.
That's for history.
That's biology.
That's not fiction.
Chemistry.
Sorry,
their patches.
Maybe this week.
I'm with you.
It's not pointing in the right direction, though,
because he's going to Jasper.
He's talking about going to this hockey game tomorrow.
It doesn't sound like a lot of book reading time.
So is he due to read a book or is he never reading a book?
He says it's a decade since he last read a book?
You do or you just not a reader?
I think he's done.
It's not due.
He's done.
He's not.
Just say dumb or done?
Bold.
Did you guys?
read books in your 20s?
I read books all the time because we used up to fly
and we didn't have internet or TV. Yeah, I guess
there wasn't much. I was doing play by place. You'd always
be stuck on a bus somewhere, so I'd read a bit.
Magazines and books.
You know what a magazine is, Jack? Yes, I know.
Okay. They're kind of dumb
now. They don't even exist.
Are they dumb or done?
I think they're still out there. I think
if you wanted, you could go buy a magazine.
All right. Yeah, I don't know.
The airport, you can go a kind of cruise.
Yeah, I guess there's a few at the airport. That's fair.
Some of those magazines are pretty good, yeah.
Oh, really?
I read him for the interviews.
All right, thanks.
Next.
Handsome Dan, $10.
How'd boys?
Boomer.
If you could make one rule change or rural change in the NHL.
On ice or off, what would it be?
I complain about a lot of things.
You do.
Um, I mean, you could get rid of the trapezoid.
Yeah, that's, that is lame.
Like that was one of those overreactual things.
So we need to make these goalies are playing the puck all the time.
We can't have it.
So it's talented goal to party.
Artie Turcos killing us.
We need to make a rule.
Did the NFL watch quarterback start to scramble and run around?
Be like, wait a minute.
You stay in a pocket there, you.
But not everybody can run that well.
Well, we need to.
Silly.
Thank you.
Appreciate it.
See you next Tuesday.
That could be interpreted.
Oh, the fast break.
Watch your mouth.
She's been.
You should be in a better mood.
One rule change in the end.
I like that one.
Yeah,
I would get.
Because I actually think it would change the game significantly
because there are guys that would be out there making plays.
And I think that it's a, well, sometimes guys will get caught.
That doesn't happen really at all.
What do you mean get caught?
they get scored.
Well, they go out to play the puck.
It's even more exciting.
Yeah.
Awesome.
I like the new rules that we're seeing in the women's league where if you kill a penalty
by scoring like short-handed, you guy gets out of the jail break.
It's kind of cookie, but I'd love to see it.
Meaning so if you score short-handed, your penalty is over.
Comes off the board.
I'm fine with that.
And I'm also fine with keep the two minutes.
Yeah, the whole two.
You earned it.
Take it.
Yep.
You might need a wrinkle if you've got.
McDavid.
Like a five on three.
Like, I don't know.
Oilers.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's true.
That one's less so for me.
I don't mind the idea.
But the trapezoid's a great call because it just seems like overhandling and dumb.
Yeah.
Man, there's poor defense.
You know, I'm always on the D side.
Oh,
Zach White Claw can't run back there because stupid goal.
It can't come out and move the puck.
Yeah,
that's right.
Poor Zach White Claw.
Heart goes out to.
Storyed flames.
That's right.
My boy.
But it's it.
I feel.
All the flames I worry about.
I wish there was something else.
It's not like I watched the games like this damn trapezoite.
But I just think it's an easy one that they could get rid of the beat.
Yeah, I think that's a reason.
And think of the, I mean, you're going to save money on paint.
You're on the league.
Caps will go up, right?
Gary, that's, is that not game revenue?
That's, we have some revenue increases to announce.
Thank you.
Every player is getting an extra dollar from save paints, cost, and the environment.
Oh, sure.
That's the more important way.
You're welcome, handsome down.
That's where it goes.
H.D.
Mike, 69.
And they're going to cop per X development to the Huska's love of low event hockey.
Let the kid play and make mistakes.
You're not making the playoffs.
Who coached Rasmus Anderson in the minors?
Huska.
Nope.
Yes.
Oh, sorry.
I thought I'm in the junior.
Okay.
So was Howard Chuck had him in Manjapanian, Barry?
Yeah.
But no, they spent years together in the American hockey league.
Yeah.
And I get that the temperature and the focus is a lot higher in,
the NHL, but it's still, it's not like this is a coach that I can't stand kids.
There's so much to this.
And it's a fine tick.
And it's six, nine and nine and it's great.
What's Husk is supposed to do with this lineup?
Run and gun?
You can't win that way.
But if you're like, if it's, if it's April, I would love to see it, please.
I don't care.
Because it would be more like, I would, I would, I would say it would be more exciting,
but it wouldn't be more exciting because you'd get your ass hand.
to you on it. That's right. If you had a highly skilled
young team and you were playing running gun and you lose
seven five, but that's not. We can run a gun and come up with
one. Because here's the thing. You didn't really need, I don't
think, a crystal ball. I was in the office with them yesterday. I probably
could have said, there's a chance you get one goal
tonight. What? You're going to, you're going to score
once tonight. So what's the game plan? Yeah. Oh, we're just
going to free wheel.
Take chances.
We're going to only score one,
but we're going to have 800 chances.
You get there, D jumping up in the rush and really
just, you know, trade chances.
Well, I guess we better try and...
Jack Hughes.
Better try and buckle down defense.
You better try and buckle down.
That's right.
No.
Rush the puck.
But the bigger story, and to that guy is
people are thirsting for high event hockey.
This isn't a team that can play that.
They want that.
We all want that.
Let's move forward.
Make some trades.
get young, get skill, get exciting, blah, blah, blah, all that.
It doesn't even have to be high-bein hockey.
You just want to see skilled hockey.
Yeah.
Some of these games, it's like, you can't play.
Watching paint dry, like barn painting.
A lot of barn painting this year.
There's so many backhand sauces to the other team or to nowhere.
Or waste high sauces.
Hey, here you, it's two on two.
I'm going to spring it.
You hit me in the elbow.
What am I supposed to do with this?
Got me right in the fanny pack.
What am I doing?
What am I?
Thanks.
Sorry, I didn't score on it, but appreciate the pass.
Hi, Van Taki.
That's what we're here for.
Anyway.
Is that a check?
Oh.
Follets!
$10.
Time to start scratching.
Jonathan.
Jueberno.
Oh.
He's cheeky.
This guy's cheap.
I want off Domopo-Poho-Bolognies
re-biggle roller coaster.
How do we feel about Coleman to
TBL for Bjork Strand
Cap Dump, Duke
and a first.
Who's Duke?
Duclair's playing.
He's a great actor.
Duke.
John, way to.
Prospect.
Duke, Duke, Duke,
Duke of Boer?
What's a Duke of Boar?
What's a Duke of Earl?
Duke, Duke, Duke, Duke, Duke, Duke, Duke, Duke, Duke, Duke, Duke, Duke,
Duke, Duke, Duke, Duke, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, it's got to be
Kant.
It's probably a kid.
Dufus
That's Jack
Why does
Does Tampa need Coleman
That's good as good as he's
That's good fit for them
But yeah
It's
Who does Blake Coleman
Get traded where he's not a good fit
That's the whole thing
Yeah
I mean you can say Tampa
You can list 19 other teams
There he helps everyone
He doesn't
Not Vancouver
Well I just mean if you're
Going to the playoffs
So let's call
Two thirds of the league
Charles Edward Dastuse
You think that's Duke?
Dominic James
Darren Raddish Duke
No
McDone
Duke
Dark
Declan Carlisle Duke
Are you checking
Duke
The roster or the
McDonna
Or do you mean prospects
Yeah
That's what I'm wondering
How do you know
It's on the roster
I'm a prospect
What Duke is
I assure you
Dylan Duke
There you go
Job Jack
Fourth rounder
2021
Where's you playing
What's he doing
who is it?
Yeah,
let's
if we're giving up
Coleman for this guy
I want to know
what the hell
this guy is about
Jack
Dylan Duke
he's 22
well
I don't really prospect
cheapest chips
well yeah
when you don't do shit
don't pay a lot
can't even find where he plays
played two games in the
NHL he's got a goal
Circus crunch
2026
the crunch
they're crunch
oh
pick him up
Dylan Duke
from strong
Ohio.
30 points, 39 games, 18 goals,
lighten up the A a bit.
Sure.
Doesn't feel like a.
You got a first though.
Yeah, get a first.
And Bjork Strand.
Sure.
Dick?
Oh, I like that.
Some other offers,
but it's not the worst I've heard.
It's a first and a thing.
It's your willingness to trade Coleman,
that's the only thing holding you back.
You can get him out of your.
I agree 100%.
If you want to move Coleman,
that is not going to be a problem.
It's happened yesterday.
You can do it.
Yeah, we're going to move you.
Oh, okay.
You could spin a wheel and trade him to that team, most likely.
That's what coveted.
Thanks for the interaction and the donation.
Thanks for teaching us about Duke, whoever you were.
279.
You guys are too hard on Pinder.
Pinder makes it too easy to be hard on Pender.
Pinder was all over the map.
Pinder is so wired to argue and debate that he'll get into the debate
before he realizes what side he's on.
Yeah, he'll pick up the baton quickly.
It's a good ingredient on the show, fellas.
It's what makes the show go.
You need friction.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Same as home, right?
That's right.
If we all came together and said,
everything's great in Flamesland,
they're doing awesome and all the kids are awesome and everything's great.
You wouldn't listen.
We wouldn't be as wildly popular as we are.
And we are wildly.
Yeah.
You wear your sunglasses to the dome down at the dome, hey?
Was that?
The dome were popular.
So popular.
Wrong word.
Wrong word.
We're notorious probably.
Yeah, they're aware of the show.
Yeah, they're definitely aware of things that are certainly some of the things that are said.
They're not like, so boom, what are you doing these days?
Yeah.
So you're not doing the real estate agents.
Oh, you're doing flame stuff.
I don't know.
Two hours last night.
Hey, you and Pinder?
Well, I heard Pender was, uh, I heard Pender doesn't like.
get that's what her pender doesn't like the trade i didn't say that at all that's what somebody heard
you got a better job of linder sometimes you know me though i set him straight yeah you stood up
no no no ryan no yeah something happened last i was surprised when we did someone out that live
stream like all it was like it felt like 90% again i'm not sifting through all the comments but
just it felt like everyone was just angry at the trade yes and i was like this return is
very adequate. Like it's much more than they got for Hannafin and Tanev combined.
It's not a slam dunk win. No, and it's a slam dunk win for Vegas, but you are in a rebuild.
You were not resigning him. You needed to get futures. And you got potentially two first, most likely one.
You got a roster player who you can flip if you want it. You can play if you want it.
And you got a kid that, you know, will be a professional at some of them.
And what were you saying something about last week? You were, you said to take that. Last week we did a show.
And remember when we didn't stick up for noodles?
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Came to the Robreys scenario.
Yeah, yeah.
There was another scenario last week.
I was going to bring it up, but.
Where we didn't defend.
Concussions someone's honor.
Yeah.
Mm-hmm.
Was it you that didn't defend them or me or boomer?
Oh, dear.
Me.
Of course.
Again.
Sorry.
First mug shots now this.
Unbelievable.
Yeah.
True to form.
That tracks, as they say.
That tracks.
Anything else?
Is that it?
For the kids.
Taco Tuesday.
It was great,
Is that you?
That's my debt.
My reading debt.
279 for the kids.
Pay my debts.
But this is the fun.
Who's paying this?
Me.
But this is our YouTube.
I know.
It's a market for your debt.
Just log in.
You can charge anything in the jacks card here.
Can not start that rumor.
We're on to you.
Boy.
I'm going to have a meeting with Del Crunch up here after the show.
This is my Apple pay.
I'm going to go through this account here.
All right.
We're not start that rumor.
That's it, right?
This is my debt.
Yes.
Okay.
So we'll do the tankathon yesterday.
So I go to the dome doing all this.
It's like,
go to your shirts, boom.
Okay, time to go.
Thanks.
You're just about to get on,
I was in the thing.
I get the truck.
I put the headphones in,
boop,
get the thing going.
And we were sour.
They finished sixth.
And the mood.
was not good.
And before I could,
and then even Jack's like,
this sucks.
See you buddies.
Fuck this.
Let's just get the fuck out of here.
I'm like,
I don't need to come on.
It's probably best.
If you wanted to,
it was too late.
It's like,
it's 1140.
Something's like,
oh,
we're done early today.
Oh,
fuck.
Oh,
let's get the fuck out of here.
Start of the 10.
Today's a good day for a short.
Yeah,
we'll just wrap it up here.
Probably our 40.
For the best.
It's the 10.
It's a website that's been built that we put trust in.
We don't know if it's accurate,
but they take the mathematical permutations of the NHL standings,
the guys at the bottom that'll be in the draft lottery
and then pretend, hey, let's just, if it's the end of today
and the teams are where they are,
this is what would happen.
If you would, the bingo balls in the machine and bo-boop,
do it a couple times.
This is who would win the draft lottery.
Calgary, right there you see.
Fifth.
And what are those?
Eight and a half percent, eight and a half percent odds.
Yeah.
Which is not a lot.
No.
Considering they're in the bottom five, you'd think it'd be, you should get more than that.
But Calgary has not, in the time that we've been doing this, it's only been a week or so.
27, 26, all 2016, we've been doing it.
Yeah, like they've not moved up.
Highest we picked was fourth.
Yeah.
I think we maintained fourth ones.
Twice we got four, I think.
I know, but we've never moved up.
They've never moved.
It's been either stay or a drop.
Yeah, come on, Jack.
How do we feel today?
Because, again, it's about vibes.
I think this taco time's going to
I'll cruncher's on our side
I'm going to be feeling too Redrebyn
let's hit it
oh yeah
oh crumcho
screw you back clear
yes
and devils that's so dirty
they've already picked twice
several that
gosh I like that
hey
you're guaranteeing yourself
one for those yeah for those are just listening
New Jersey would pick you know what
that's the worst position for Conway.
Pardon me?
We just picked fifth for like a week straight.
I'm saying for him personally as a stress point.
It would be stressful.
He doesn't get to his,
it doesn't guarantee to get his choice.
Yeah.
Then he's got to decide for the next two,
who am I taking?
You could get your guy.
But it's not a good,
but yeah.
Plus,
if you pick first,
you've got weeks to make your mind.
Oh, you could negotiate.
You could sell it.
And if it's a year like this,
where maybe the first is in doubt.
You've got eight minutes.
Yeah.
Because now you know who was taken first.
Now it's like you've talked about the.
Okay.
Calgary's on the clock.
Here's what we'll do.
If he goes first,
he'll is what we're,
but until you're on the floor and you don't really know.
Calgary,
you're on the clock.
Oh, geez.
I'll still take it.
Definitely take.
Good spot.
That's the most stress for Conroy.
You are getting.
one of your top two picks.
Very insightful, deep.
Like this is,
that's a,
that's a boomer point.
This is good.
Thank you,
Ryan.
You're in that top three.
There's no guarantee, though,
with how the flames draft,
luck sometimes,
never picked in the top three ever.
No.
I can't believe it.
We had the second overall pick
and the guy we wanted it,
two wasn't there.
Pull of Fletcher.
We had two or three guys.
The top two guys are gone.
Vegas got,
I don't know how Vegas did it.
Vegas got Stenberg how
We didn't even have a pick in the top
Three how did they
Yeah he pulled his name from the draft and he
retired and then came back as a free agent and signed
What?
Well,
Frickin the criminal
I was show today Jack
Very good
So that is just
He's fasting now he's the ground
He eats old cruncher
There's one loved
Can I end the fast on an L cruncho
Is he delicious?
Oh, so good.
it.
Perfect.
Crushed the elk crunch.
Absolutely.
Yeah, you did curse that.
What are you looking for?
Seeing if there's anything before.
Ilya Soloviav's been traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Really?
Who's that?
That's the guy they lost on waivers so they keep Miro on the squad in the fall.
Yeah, Slovia.
He was in.
Went to Colorado.
Yeah.
Not playing a ton for them, but big.
Yeah, we didn't need them.
Six up.
I think, and again, this is the.
from the discussions I had yesterday.
I think that there was,
if a trade had not been consummated
and they were going to use waivers,
flames would have first rights
because they lost them on waivers.
You could put him in the miners.
There was probably a good chance they would have reclaimed him.
Yep.
Not happening now.
Not today.
Now you get to play him tomorrow.
Jack will be there in his Slovia,
Penguins jersey.
Ooh, wow.
Wow.
Big.
Big.
Big.
Bones.
Bones.
Undefeated.
Yeah.
It's a good start.
Did you see the interview on the bench with, I think it was Mers Likins or?
Yes.
Yes.
They're like, so you've won so many in a row and there's a new coach.
Everyone's feeling good.
What's it?
New coach.
So you like that.
New coach.
Oh, poor Dean.
Poor Dean.
He said two words.
Now there is your name and we all know you took a stray.
new coach
well
it always works
just fire your coach
yeah
yeah
tomorrow on the show
no noodles I'm sorry
he is
so do we get the day off
traveling you took yesterday off
you take a neck
he'll be in tomorrow
that's fine he'll be in Thursday
I don't want to
I want to be able to harass people
for being lazy to do be
any good if I day on.
And it's a game day.
Oh, Pittsburgh.
We're going to have some hot takes from that guy who've crossed the table there.
Jack.
The vibes are high right now with Pittsburgh.
Bring your A game tomorrow.
I don't want you fasting tonight.
I want a big steak.
You can't lose the season series to the flames and make the playoffs.
No, I know.
You got to take care of business tomorrow.
Let's go.
Just hearing that, you don't want to go to the game with him.
I kind of do.
Do you?
You want the,
I do enjoy the constant.
Yes.
The Zay Flowers touchdown.
And it would be good, it would be good for content.
It'll be weird though because he's conflicted.
So it would be like if the flames score,
then he's getting up to his feet to rub it in your face,
but that's actually not what he wants because he wants them to lose.
Exactly.
It would be a interesting kind of a.
It's not on the docket.
It's not happening.
Sad.
Sad.
Double kid hockey.
Screwed.
I feel like maybe something came up this morning that influenced that.
The Battle Royal, is that what you called it?
That's personal life.
We don't talk about our personal life.
The rumble in the jungle.
How are those ass fissures?
See it.
