Starting point is 00:00:00 Well, hi, buddies. Welcome to the program. Tuesday. A little warmer. It is. Warming up. A little? Feels like a lot warmer. It's a lot warmer. It's like dash 15 yesterday morning above zero today. It's going to be melting. Welcome to Calgary. We deserve it. We deserve it. Some tough, tough days there. Hobbling around dealing with everything that we're all dealing with, you know. A lot of pressure. Welcome to the show. It is a presentation of Bet365 official gaming partner. of Byron Burner, game props, player props, totals, the money line. Whatever your bet is, it's never ordinary at Bet365. Download the app, get it in the game. You must be 19 years of age or older. And, of course, quang. I think it's going to be a big day for super chats today, fellas.
Starting point is 00:00:57 I don't know about you. You centers of Calgary will benefit. Money coming in goes straight to that charity. And the comments that have the dough on the way in, they get red and show on the show on the program. You know, handsome Dan. Yeah, yeah. maybe I feel like he was maybe trying to poke the barrel I think he was in a prick yeah
Starting point is 00:01:15 and then on the other side of him like all these country guys are like you're telling me Stapleton second like that's not music yeah and then they collab with all these other this is the thing when you take your brush and sweep it across the entire genre of music it's gonna be tough feel free to apologize like Perak handsome Dan
Starting point is 00:01:36 feel free to correct this anytime that's right was there an apology Oh, we'll probably get into it. We're into McLeod Law Studio. Here in the McLeod Law LLP Studios, MacLeod-Dashlaw.com. I mean, we love them. They've kept us, you know what?
Starting point is 00:01:52 I wasn't behind bars once. No, I always stayed right out. Ryan, you? And to be fair, like, I might have deleted a thousand beers in Nashville, the drinky show. We've got good counsel. Does overnight drunk tank count as behind bars? Yes, it does.
Starting point is 00:02:05 They often have bars in the drunk tanks, not drinking bars, but like the vertical and horizontal. That would be great if you walked in and they did have a bar in the corner. Oh, look at this. All right, Coke, baby. Let's go. Everything's coming up, Melhouse.
Starting point is 00:02:21 McLeod Law, they'll help you out of your jam if you're in one, your situation, or if you just need good legal assistance, guidance, advice. They are the very best, the Cloud Law in our fine city. Yeah. Crazy about the brim on this head. We've got another one of these ones, right? Yeah, it's very tenty. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:42 It's triangular. You just, it's just, you got to just push down the middle. I need a softball. Just need some work. Old days, you put the softball. Take some, take some time. Maybe today after the show. Not here.
Starting point is 00:02:54 Some quality time. Oh, you can do it now. Um, some things we'll get into today. Flames did not win last night. Shut the front door. Dean, a proverbial four-poiter. Did you fist pump that? Hell yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:10 Wow. You're so negative. You're a negative. not negative. I'm positive. Pissing people off on our watch party. Celebrating. What a watch party it was. It was celebrating Ravens touchdowns and stream.
Starting point is 00:03:21 Huge Lamar fan. Chetcha or whatever. You got out of your seat, I think. Because I said yesterday. We got the clip. I did get out of my seat. I didn't remember if I did or not.
Starting point is 00:03:31 But it's one of those things where it's like guys open, passed in the air. Right. That's what it was. You were shocked. Then I smiled a lot. Right. When he caught it.
Starting point is 00:03:40 Yeah. I did the same watch in Monaster. Montana State yesterday. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Did they win? I don't know. I hope so. Is that Dave,
Starting point is 00:03:50 is that Dave's team? We'll see the other one. No, that's the Bobcats. Okay. He's a grizzly. He's a gris. Gris. Once a gris, always a gris,
Starting point is 00:03:59 they say. Sure. For the first, so five, one. They'll say, say, don't fight a gris. I'll say this. Don't fight a grizzly? No, I wouldn't.
Starting point is 00:04:10 It's not good. Claude or declaw? either. Apparently in California, you are not allowed to declaw your cats anymore. Really? Cats got rights. Cats should have rights. What kind of taxes of those cats fan in California? Because that's one of the things about having it.
Starting point is 00:04:24 It's like, I'm a big Steinberg fan and I'm a big, he loves cats. He loves cats. You know, I'd be like, oh, she's a great gal. She's a fucking bitch, but I mean, well, you can't just de-bitch people. Cats are assholes. You can't just go taking their claws away. That's part of having a cat. It's part of a cat being an asshole.
Starting point is 00:04:43 It shits in your house. It's moody. It's temperamental. It's all fucking snooty. And it'll claw the shit out of you if it wants to for no reason. That's part of having a cat. And you're confused. I don't think Steinberg's a cat guy.
Starting point is 00:04:55 It was old married pants up in Edmonton. Wox is a cat guy. It was Smoky and the bandit or something. So it was Stoey. It was Smoky and Pickles. Chubs. Chubs. Chubs.
Starting point is 00:05:06 I did see he posted on social media. I don't know if he was wishing a happy New Year to his cats or wishing people Merry Christmas from his cats? I don't know. I was so embarrassed. I couldn't look. You went to his wedding. That is embarrassing. Yeah, I was the only ones. I mean, had a lot of space at my table.
Starting point is 00:05:23 Open bar? They went through a whole bottle. They had these great cookies as like the single wraps. I had cookies for days. I just, I'll just have another cookie, I guess. No one else here to have those. I'll just, yeah. Like a girl guy. You're just sitting on guns. Oh, yeah, yeah. I guess they're expecting more people. I'm not sure what happened. Anyway, cats declawed deep
Starting point is 00:05:40 how did we get there well we were talking about the flames but I cut you off I'm getting real about the cats you had said 5-1 and then he jumped in with something about cats yeah well what's the cat why did we go to the cats Jack what happened you roll the tape back this we're confused 5-1 right yeah it didn't feel like a 5-1 game but it sure ended up there
Starting point is 00:06:03 it did not feel 5-1 it felt like the flames were very much in control this felt like an overtime this felt like a greasy late goal from Coleman and they win. That's what it was felt like October when they can't score. It was, it did. It felt, geez, you know, they deserve to be up by a couple here. This should be a three one. Second period.
Starting point is 00:06:20 Still kind of tied here. It's halfway. But we know how it goes at home. We know how they've been playing. They're going to find a way. You know what it is. Not through year. 0 for 2 in 2020.
Starting point is 00:06:29 That's your fault. Not your fault. I mean, this one. Yeah, what's you are? It's, what's the new Chinese New Year? Is that here yet? The horse. Is it the horse?
Starting point is 00:06:37 Oh, yeah. Of course. So once the Chinese New Year hits. they'll be rolling because they got the blasty jersees. And speaking out. That's right. Speaking out. You're the horse?
Starting point is 00:06:46 You bet on in the CFL. Stampeters. Oh my goodness. Kid me? Ryan's got his hat on already. Futures. Let's get on it. Stamp Peters.
Starting point is 00:06:54 You're the horse. Sorry, Mace. Hope you enjoyed it. Shine that prick up and bring her back to Calgary. One year run, Mace. Great cups here. Riders are good for one every 25, 30 years. Yeah, they had one.
Starting point is 00:07:03 They're good for a while. Yeah, they're still hammered out there. You're the horse. They've won three times since I've been owner. Owner. Do you say over? Owner. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:15 Why didn't you buy the old gopher mobile? Doesn't have garage space. God, that's got to be one of the biggest regrets in your life. Especially at that point in your life, you had all the money in the world. You could have bought the Gaynor Mobile. God. If you don't know what we're talking about, the Saskatchewan Rough Riders, they have a mascot named Gaynor, and he's a cult hero, to the point that there's even a town in Saskatchewan
Starting point is 00:07:38 that has a sign when you drive through it. Home of Gainer, the Gopher. I don't even know if it's accurate. That's a penderese right there. They've just claimed. They've just done it. They've said it loud and strong and put a sign up and so, well, I guess it must be.
Starting point is 00:07:51 I don't know what that even means. It's like the real gopher or is the mascot? Is the guy in the suit? Is there a guy in the suit? Is it a lot of questions here? No one does because they put the sign up. Park bag? I think that's the town.
Starting point is 00:08:05 That's what they did with Klopka in Slovakia. They just claimed them. Even though he was check. Yeah. Yeah. I don't need to look at his first certificate or whatever. I know why. Check.
Starting point is 00:08:14 I just put 10 bucks on the stamps. Hubbard should have scored the horse. Yeah. Huberto. Cronner was speaking of me. He was chirped. You're going to get your ass fired Croner. He is going to get his ass shoot out for having a personal.
Starting point is 00:08:29 Just in general. Is he sitting close to the camera than the other guys? Because it feels like he's in focus or something. It's just what you meant. What? Everyone's picking up. You can try to... You can try and dance around a tiptoe and back pedal.
Starting point is 00:08:44 He's a beautiful human. He's a beautiful human. Love him. Our buddy. He chose to cut us out of his life. Good point. He did. He made choices.
Starting point is 00:08:56 You're going to walk your own path. You want to be on Team Barnburn or not? You choose. You got a few. With us or against us. No, I felt like they're going to win that game. Was it a fun game? No, this is not a team.
Starting point is 00:09:08 It's fun to watch. I'm sorry. Which one? North Seattle. That's what I meant. They try really hard, but it is smothering structure. They can't score. The power play's dead last in the league.
Starting point is 00:09:22 Low event. That's how they have to win with this group. It's not pretty, but it's the only way they're going to win. When you've got two teams that rely on structure and defense first and not whatever, we can't give up chances. And then you're playing against a team that doesn't have a lot of skill offensively. Yeah. It's a field day.
Starting point is 00:09:37 And that's what we had last night. I got a horrible question for it to just perfectly clarify this. If Seattle and Calgary suddenly were contracted from the NHL and all their players were free agents or there's an expansion draft, who would the first overall forward be taken from the flames and the Cracken? And like, are they on the third line in Florida or the fourth? Baneers. Yeah, that would be the thing. Am I winning today?
Starting point is 00:10:04 Are we building for the future? Here's another. Or, okay. What you said? Merge the two franchises. You'd probably make a playoffs. Would you make playoffs? Goleys looked all right.
Starting point is 00:10:20 You go decor and Wolf, even Grubauer looked great last. Gruberauer's been good. It's a small sample, but he's been a lot better. It's year, what, four there, and this is his first good one. But again, back to your who's your top line if you merge the two teams. Yeah, who's your top line if you merge the two teams? Like, well, Nazam's really good right now, but he's also 35. He's not putting them up.
Starting point is 00:10:43 And then it's like. Baneers is good, but he's not a star. Coronado has got some potential, but he's not a star. Benares, Coronado, and you can't remember anyone, eh? Well, McCann's nice, but he's not in his prime and Schwartz is okay. And we have Berkeley cat, like there's some young players, but there's no stars. Who is a top line player off these two rosters? Baneers is supposed to be.
Starting point is 00:11:05 Well, eventually, yeah. Even there, it's because we're not. I was doing my extensive homework. Yes. Exhaustive research. It's like he's got seven goals and 40 games. I thought baddie Bennerz. You thought, you know, you're high-
Starting point is 00:11:18 Not a star yet. That's what they'll turn Perak into, so that's good. If you merge these two forward groups, you would still not have a top line. No number one center and no 40 goal winners. It's, yeah. He was second overall, guys. Good player.
Starting point is 00:11:36 You had 20 last year. Yeah, 24 in the league. Hey, relax. Second line center. Great. Relax. I love it. Jesus.
Starting point is 00:11:42 Getting all over Maddie Meneers. Like Manny Baneers. I'm not. I'm trying to say he's the best. From Hingham. Hangum, Massachusetts. Hang him. You're out now, buddy.
Starting point is 00:11:50 I don't even know him. Hey, boom, you got a little hangum. That was great dry. Very dry outside. 5-1 final. It got away from them. A couple of goals. Huska talked about it afterwards.
Starting point is 00:12:06 After the 2-1 goal where Seattle takes the lead, it kind of just took a lot of the zip away from the flames for whatever reason. And that was early in the third, am I correct? Because it felt like the second they dominated the old tilt a whirl, you always talk about? The three were in control, Gruberauer's
Starting point is 00:12:23 upside down, they're hitting posts, everything. Oh, gosh, we're good. It's just a matter of time. And then Seattle gets an early goal and it was like the air came out of the balloon. And even the one, now again, the flames had only scored one goal, but the one, this Jacob Malanson, the rookie gets the back door play. It's a hell
Starting point is 00:12:39 of a play. It's off of a turnover. So it's a, it's a mistake in their own end. Other than that, they've given Seattle very little. Yeah. And then the Shane Wright kind of play in front. Then Vince Dunn comes down Main Street and wires one. Dicky. Vinnie. Then an empty netter and then another one after the empty netter, which again, it doesn't matter. But it was a four goal third for the crackin. I might throw a couple bucks down and suggest that's the first four goal third they've had this year. Cool. And I don't know
Starting point is 00:13:09 that the flames have given up four in the third. So both ways. Only time the Seattle crack and I don't recall the flames.
Starting point is 00:13:18 I don't fall the flames. Four is a lot of goals in a period though. One was into an empty net but that's a lot of goals. That counts. And I heard that those are important
Starting point is 00:13:25 than they count. They're the same. They count the same. No one's saying it's a four one game. Well, kind of five. Is it Freddie Goddrow
Starting point is 00:13:30 with the empty netter? That's right. Frederick. So that'll count as a goal for him. He looks very French. leave Le France He kind of had that look on his face
Starting point is 00:13:40 I bet you he has a tick accent when you talk to this Like he just kind of looks like one of those Huberdo Um So back to back losses On home ice Yeah they're bragging about their home ice
Starting point is 00:13:52 And how great they are well To boosbegs must get pissed up on New Year's Eve Back to back games Yeah they got all those fat and sassy maybe Now it's a five game road trip fellas And it's not an easy one It starts to the back to back There's some good teams there.
Starting point is 00:14:08 The travel's not great. That's going to be a tough game. They've not been a good road team. Now, they've also run the road a lot early when they sucked. It's what a nice thing about going to Montreal, though. There's lots of emotion. You don't have to, you don't have to manufacture. If you want, so emotional in Montreal.
Starting point is 00:14:24 Maybe. Yeah. Between the time I think of you. No, and then we saw Boston. Boston didn't look great, but it's, this is a shitty trip. Yeah, back to back there. Then into Pittsburgh for. a 130 and as we know
Starting point is 00:14:39 Dan the man's got the boys rolling. They are rolling. And then at Columbus and Chicago at the end of the trip. They're probably pissed off that the Steelers aren't playing on Sunday, Jack, because they could have went to the Steelers. Still could. They don't play till Tuesday. God.
Starting point is 00:14:55 You're looking at this and you're going oh, F. Because there's a couple teams in the league where you don't want to hang out for long in the city. And Columbus is one of them. St. Paul. I don't dislike Columbus. I've had fun.
Starting point is 00:15:09 You can go to the college. Find yourself some trouble. I don't know that's what these boys are up to. And aside from the college, not much there. A little sleepy. Yeah. The horseshoe.
Starting point is 00:15:24 You're the horse. So there you see it. Yeah, the Montreal, Boston to get things started back to back. Matinee in Pittsburgh. Matinee. East Coast. The dumb dentists are going on this trip. The dentist are good.
Starting point is 00:15:37 What? My brother does that dump. Yeah, every year. I thought he always took him to Buffalo. Well, they go all over,
Starting point is 00:15:44 different spots, yeah. Maybe they're staying for doing the whole trip or just the couple? They're going to Montreal today, Boston, Pittsburgh.
Starting point is 00:15:51 They're doing it all. He's text. He's like, can you call him a key and see if he's got any poll in Pittsburgh? I'm like, what?
Starting point is 00:16:00 Pittsburgh. You're talking about it? 20 years ago. No. I'll just, I'll call Kevin Constantine. I'll leave you some tickets. It just proves that people are stupid.
Starting point is 00:16:12 Your brother. Hello. Wow. Where he gets it? So, yeah. Yeah. They do have a, if you look, it's a five-game homestand that follows, but goodness, that's. That's a long time to be away in January when you're depressed and your, that's a 10-day.
Starting point is 00:16:28 Credit card bill comes in and load of vitamin D. Got private jet. But I'll tell you what, by the end of this trip, we'll have a good indication. of what they're going to know. Oh, gosh, we'll be real sure. Connie, I'll be able to make some hard. So on the 16th, yeah. Just ask us, we'll tell you.
Starting point is 00:16:44 Oh, yeah. Okay. Write that down. That's why in T-shirt Day, by the way. Mid-January, always. Yeah, mid-Jan, you know, by then, you know. Yeah. And that'll be 41, 42, 43, for four, for five, like almost 50 games in.
Starting point is 00:16:58 We'll know. Oh, gosh, yeah. Yeah, there definitely won't be any mushyness or mucky middle. This team would never do that to you. Homestands, interesting. the islanders have been very good. The devils have underwhelmed, but it's a talented roster. Pittsburgh again.
Starting point is 00:17:11 Washington's good. What about the trip, I guess, just because that's close. Well, the back to back sucks. Montreal's a very good team. Well, that even, here's the issue I have, Dean, is that I'll love interrupt. Going into Montreal is going to be tough because they are a good team and they play fun, fast hockey. Yep. And then you've got to go back to back with Boston.
Starting point is 00:17:32 I don't worry about Boston's team. But I do worry about it back to back. Also, the other thing, if you want to look there, that is their third game in four nights. Yes. Kind of what we call a scheduled loss. 12, 8, and 1 are the Bruins at home. So decent. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:48 And then you got Pittsburgh who's trying to hang around. Dan the man, Jack. Finally, you get a couple days to rest. And then if, you know, skin dogs on fire apparently. All of a sudden it goes from, you're the hottest team in the league. You're kicking ass to loss, loss, loss. And you're like, who. And they're in 30th, by the way.
Starting point is 00:18:04 Oh, 30. I like doing it. Ooh. Kind of like exasperated. Yeah. Emotional. Yeah. That's the same vibes.
Starting point is 00:18:15 Kind of. It's when Ricky and bubbles. That's a little more frustrated. And then you're up early for a game in Pittsburgh that's going to turn into a must win because we're playoff bound. Oh. Not easy. A lot of pressure. A lot of pressure on them now.
Starting point is 00:18:30 That's a shitty schedule. Yep. Stupid Olympic. Yeah. And it gets even worse. after the Olympics. Like, if you counted them yesterday, it's just a 14 games.
Starting point is 00:18:38 There's more in the months that fall of the Olympics. It's tight. So just trade Rasmus now. Let's get this thing over with. Feels like the move. Let's go. You got another right shot D.
Starting point is 00:18:48 Just returned to the club. Yeah, this is open arms. Bring them back. Come on. I kind of put this on the shelf for a little bit because I had said to you when you were away, I was like, Jesus, team keeps winning. Remember, we were looking at the bottom of the standings.
Starting point is 00:19:00 Yeah. So, I don't, they're so, I mean, they're way, far away from that now. Is that right? Wild card. We should be looking. These are the standings we should be showing, but now they've lost some games. I just wonder when you dust off the,
Starting point is 00:19:15 when, you know, it's, I'm not saying it's now, but I'm just wondering. Mission Verhoff is still very alive and well, or McKenna or Stenberg. People know who Stenberg is today.
Starting point is 00:19:31 I want the forwards. We talked about him. He's very good. I like the forwards. I don't want that. And, yeah, Verhoff are right D. There's always room for good players.
Starting point is 00:19:40 But like, all of their prospects are right shot team in. It's like Bristevich, Perak, Mews, Rasmus, and McKenzie, we were all right.
Starting point is 00:19:49 You probably should Rassel. Do we have an issue with our prospects? Like, is it back again? And this could be a, are they any good? Yeah, I think they're really good.
Starting point is 00:19:58 I think it's... According to what? The nerds that follow it closer than you and I. Like, they're a top 10 system and they haven't got the megastud. There's lots of sort of, B plus prospects in there?
Starting point is 00:20:08 That doesn't sound good. So if you have B plus, yeah, how, there's a lot of them. I'll take one. I'll take one eight. Can I take one.
Starting point is 00:20:16 That can't make you a top 10 system in the league if you have a bunch of B plus. It sounds like a bunch of volume of them and that they're very good players. So it's like the wingers at the NHL level. That's what I would say is like if you watch the world juniors and you watch per rec and Roshney like those were two of the best players in the tournament. How many guys play in the world? World Juniors and don't ever do F all. They become good players or bad players?
Starting point is 00:20:41 Or both. I'm just saying that guys that playing World Juniors that you think are going to be stars. Sure. Yeah. I'm not worried about rushing and Preck not being good players in the NHL. I think you're full of shit. Well, I'm telling you by complaining yourself at all. I've asked you based on what, some and other's opinion, do some homework and figure it out.
Starting point is 00:21:01 The answer's pass it off to some other. And then your idiot response says, oh, yeah, Oh, they're highly rated. Oh, a lot of B prospects. So, Gridden. What fuck said me? Gridden's having one of the best. Got me swearing again.
Starting point is 00:21:14 Gridden's having one of the best U-20 seasons in the end. Who's Gridden going to play with? Swear, Jarr. That's what they got to draft this summer, I hope. Oh, so, but they have it, they're one of the best, I thought. No, they're like top. If I say top, they're, most generally. Don't do that.
Starting point is 00:21:30 If anyone's got him on the ropes here. You're going to end up on the wrong side of that. Eight to four. is sort of where you see them ranked by most of the prospect nerds, the system. And it was like when Trilling left, you're talking like mid-20s. I guess my only. So they've amassed a lot of good young players, which ones turn into great NHLs or not? We don't know.
Starting point is 00:21:49 They're prospects. They're not players yet. So, yeah, and it could be two things. It could be that the best prospects that they have, the guys that are going to be the best NHL players right now are the furthest away. They're the youngest. Yeah. But the thing about being the youngest is we know less about you because you're still only 18, 19, 19 years old.
Starting point is 00:22:04 Right. 14, 15 year olds. It's like, I don't know what this is. So, because there was a time. It's like, oh, you can go down any of the, go back in time. We can go through the draft. Like, well, this guy is this. You know, they got this guy. This guy is then you look back. But that's my issue is that we are back to that stage of flames lore of 80 and a coin said it. Okay. Oaky. Obviously, I was still playing. He was playing. He was like, I've never gone to a camp where I haven't noticed a kid that was going to be really good. Now you keep saying Gridden.
Starting point is 00:22:36 Yeah, I think he can be good. Is he a hundred point guy? No, but I mean. Which is hard to be. Don't get me wrong. I think he's going to be a solid player. Right. And so what I'm saying when they have a lot of B plus prospects,
Starting point is 00:22:51 like you're talking about guys of Coronado skills so they could be top six wingers, but where's your star? That's what their system is missing. And that's why all of us for years have been saying, short-term pain, long-term game, like tank a little. Do we have guys that are going to turn into stars?
Starting point is 00:23:06 Like, is Reshny going to be a... Reshny's ceiling is probably a really good number two center, like a smaller Ryan O'Reilly. That's not a star, but it's a very good player. Gridden's ceiling is probably a 30 to 40 goal winger, not a star, very good player. Perrek, there could be an offensive defenseman star there. A 40 goal winger is star to me.
Starting point is 00:23:26 Sure. If it's 40, but again, it's like... I know what you're saying, but like that's, we're talking absolute ceiling. Like the best possible outcome, he's got an unbelievable playmaker on his line, the power play's humming, everything clicks one year, he hits 40. But if you get a 30-goal winger, like, that's a really good player. Betagli is having a good year and the old muse is done for the year.
Starting point is 00:23:47 Bash and missed all last year. They've got a lot of guys that could be good players in the NHL. They don't have a future star unless it's aane. That's why they need to draft high the next couple of years. The issue I have with all of that is your use of the word could. because there's other organization, and we'd love to be them, where they will be good players.
Starting point is 00:24:08 We're all, right? They're undeniably going to be. Give an example. Okay. Perak's supposed to be, who would be the highest rated prospect? And I mean, he's on the bloody team. Like a not in the NHL highest prospect.
Starting point is 00:24:26 Well, no, I'll say that Perak would be your highest rated prospect. To me, he's still a prospect because he's played. what, 11 games? He would be a top prospect of probably a third. He would be your most skilled. You're the best player. See, now you can do it to me. The best player with the best chance to have a major impact
Starting point is 00:24:45 on an offensively gifted style play. Yeah. And he can't play right now. Well, we'll see what they do. That is going to be fascinating to watch. I don't know what they're going to do. No, no, no. Don't make excuses for him.
Starting point is 00:24:58 It's fine. He's a kid. He didn't come in. in and kick the door down at 19. Yep. There's a lot of players that do, and I'm not saying he had to her. It's not a criticism,
Starting point is 00:25:10 but there are players that walk in and kick. Those guys are undeniable. This guy feels to me like, and it might be a opposite of opinion as far as how I want to coach Huska and type of player I've been given. I don't know that. But now I've lost my train of thought. Well,
Starting point is 00:25:29 what you're talking about is that Perek has that ceiling, but he hasn't coming and taken the job. Yeah, he's not out there playing. I don't want to excuse this away, but like Eric Carlson at his age played about half a season and put up 25 points. Evan Bouchard was not even playing pro hockey. I think Evan Bouchard
Starting point is 00:25:45 is shit. I just think there's time offensive defense. You didn't, if you had a 19 year old who hadn't come in and made a big impact, that was commonplace. You didn't expect that. It's changed because of how good some of the young players. I don't, I don't
Starting point is 00:26:00 I don't. I don't. I don't look at the flames or at Perak and say, geez, it's to. No, but if you're going to be, can he be impactful? Absolutely. Can he be really, really good? Ed Javanoski came in at 19 and dominated the league. And you're talking about almost Hall of Fame caliber guy?
Starting point is 00:26:22 Like that's, but nine every year. Why is that, that's what I'm saying. That's what I want. He was first overall. This is my point. top 10. Yes, he's, but.
Starting point is 00:26:33 So eight guys got to go before. There's not 10 Hall of Famers every year. It's kind of our point, right? So if the teams of the top five are good, there shouldn't be any Hall of Famers left unless it's an obscene draft class. I'm over generalizing, obviously. But like, this is why they need a top three pick guys. Yeah, we're arguing to get to the same point.
Starting point is 00:26:50 Yeah, that's not the conversation is whether they need a top three pick. It's what do they have right now? I'm just, I don't know. Yeah, I don't see anyone. Perak, perhaps that might be. and you're going to have warts with that kid, which fine, whatever. I'm not a Bouchard fan, and if that's what he is, there will be people that love him and people that are frustrated.
Starting point is 00:27:08 If he's not for you, you'll be able to trade him if he's Bouchard. And part of what I was getting at was this, is that when you get so focused on your own team, and I've said it year after year, that you think your prospects are damn fine. These guys are good. Okay, great. Well, can they play in the league?
Starting point is 00:27:27 What have they turned out to be? And are we overvaluing the roundabout way a guy like Anderson? It's part of the reason he hasn't been traded is because everyone in Calgary values him more than the rest of the league. Is there any way that could be? I just watch the national stuff and everyone says best defense. Yeah, but they love to talk about it. And being the best defenseman doesn't mean. I don't think he's a star.
Starting point is 00:27:57 I think he's a two, three on a cup contender, right? Let's talk about that. I think he would be a great. Yeah. I like him as a player. I'm just saying, is he a true number one? No. Is he a true number two?
Starting point is 00:28:08 Probably not. Is he a really, really good top four? 100%. 100%. And those guys get a lot. I don't think the flames over have too much stock. If anything, he's built up a bunch of stock after last year's broken leg and miserable results. Like he's been very.
Starting point is 00:28:29 good this year. So if you're a team and you're looking at him and you go, okay, I'm going to pick them up. But I'm going to give up two firsts and a player. I don't know. Was that? I think because the ask is remembered to be the equivalent of two first. So maybe it's a guy that was a first round or you value equivalent of first and a first. Maybe it's two first. Maybe it's two top prospects. Like if it was Dallas last year, Stankhoven and Maverick Bork, that's the ask at this point from the flames. Yeah. And that's the end of met. But then I have to also be able to sign him to what? Probably max term nine million year. and all that's all kind of very arbitrary because why are the flames asking that well
Starting point is 00:29:05 that's kind of what the market has said in the past is i don't think it's the flame saying we think he's a number one so we're asking for this i think they're looking well guys in the past have gotten this and okay so that's that's what we want how do you it's like when you start a podcast how what do you charge for ad reads i have no idea what you did probably probably more than what you did Anyway, I just, and as far as the prospects, I swear, Gerr was free. I just don't know how, like, do you think the flames overvalue their prospects? I do.
Starting point is 00:29:36 I think they have in the past. I don't believe that's the case under Connie at all. Yeah, I just don't know how they could right now based on what they have. Like, what do they have? Like, who's being overvalued in your mom? Well, then, well, how are we saying that they're a top 10 prospect? Because they haven't arrived yet. And so when you're looking at their group of lottery tickets versus all these other teams,
Starting point is 00:29:55 they're no sure things. are all prospects. Their collection is a large one, which means if X percent failed, there's still you've got a lot of tickets that could still win. It's not a system like Edmonton's or it's like, okay, we've got Sam O'Reilly and he's got to be our guy. Now we've got to train for Reich Howard and that's our, like, if that one guy doesn't work, there's nothing. It's dust. Whereas this, they've got a collection of like, I'd say, eight to 15 players that their ceiling is to be a solid NHL or some of them's a little higher and obviously a third of them will probably not know research on other team stuff either and I know I like I'm not trying to argue I would say Montreal and
Starting point is 00:30:32 Washington have two of the best pipelines in the league and they've got guys coming like the Michael H kid that plays in Michigan is phenomenal at a great tournament like that's a really really good player they have Jacob fallow they just graduated out of college he's starting to play net for them they just had Demadov and Hudson come up what about San Jose San Jose's got Michael Misa who I really like Dickinson is the problem is that we're not including guys that are being impactful, because they've already got teenagers that are supposed to be prospects. Just like, you know, you've graduated Coronado and Wolf and Perrek theoretically
Starting point is 00:31:05 in the last three years, right, for the flames, because Perrex's now on this roster. He's not in the minors. Like they've graduated theoretically from Prospect to NHL. There's guys that Walker Dewar was on the... No, he's never been. He was on the roster. If you're saying that he was a...
Starting point is 00:31:22 And he was a kid at the time. No, he was like mid-20s. He was a late-blower. There's a difference to have been a 19-year-old in the NHL when most of your counterparts are playing junior and being a four-year college guy in your mid-20s that has no ceiling at all. Like Walker Dewers peaked at his very best as a fourth-liner in the NHL.
Starting point is 00:31:42 But then why are some guys at 24 prospects and others aren't? Give me some names. Who are you talking about? Well, I'm talking about Walker. Who's the prospect of 24th? Well, Wolf. is Rory Karen still a prospect I that's what I'm getting at is who are the
Starting point is 00:31:56 is he 23 now like what's the cutoff like it's kind of I would think not as a rule but just generally speaking when a guy's now needing waivers you've kind of lost the prospect he was a sixth rounder in the Zary 2020 draft yeah so he's
Starting point is 00:32:13 it's fringy yeah right like it's kind of shitter get off the pot time so he's on your a HL he's doing I wouldn't list him is a list of top 10 process of the finals. I think he's going to be a great HL player. Looks like a quad A guy
Starting point is 00:32:26 go light up Europe. Because just if you go back, because I think how, you can look at the draft that's a year old and be like, oh, these guys are going to be great.
Starting point is 00:32:37 I just, I know, but the other thing is if you don't look at those draft classes closely. But we said the same thing, we never said the Senate Trillivings draft classes. He had the one with Fox and Dubay and Kachuk that is an all-time draft.
Starting point is 00:32:50 You will be hard. hard pressed to find a team in the last 20 years that is through two players that boy, Yuselamaki, he's going to do this and Adam Rishke, they got him and the, oh, this is going to be that. Boy, you've changed, you, you, he was never a tough prospect. Come on. Like, if you look at their last. Sven Berchi this.
Starting point is 00:33:10 Sven was great. Sam Bennett. The problem is if you're going to use prospects failing, the example of why prospect ranks are wrong, you've missed the whole point. I'm not saying that. So many prospects fail. That's just the game. I just want more.
Starting point is 00:33:21 time, I want the player, I want to have the players to be older before I'm going all in and saying, oh, we're set. So we don't need to, we're good down the middle and we're good at this because we've got Matt Vey Gridden. So we don't need left-handed this or right-handed that. But who's saying that? You're building this roster. But no one's saying you can't draft this or that.
Starting point is 00:33:41 It's like just, I just, no one's saying you can't draft this position in that position. Like, just if you want to go the year prior, out of Sam Hansick, Etienne Moran, Adar Sunyev, how many of those guys are you saying, okay, there's one NHLer in Hansik and Sunyev, maybe in two years? He feels like a one in three chance that he's an incher. Yeah, maybe lower. 2022, there's nothing there. Yeah, and that's not Connie's draft. 2020, I don't care.
Starting point is 00:34:07 He's talking about the prospect, the system, what the flames have moving forward. And so if I'm telling you they've got a top 10 system, none of the guys I'm talking about it from the 2022, 2021-20 draft class. Okay, so then it goes back to these are bunch of young guys that. So there's real no. Correct just graduated. Not graduating. Like Zeri and Coronado are on the roster. Like you don't snap your fingers and Connie's picks alternative.
Starting point is 00:34:35 Like it is going to take time for sure. You know, and it sucks. But you're saying that the older guys aren't prospects anymore. So if it's taking time, then those prospects aren't good? No. What I'm saying is I really like their last two draft classes
Starting point is 00:34:50 and I didn't like the last few under True Living. And to be fair, they traded a lot of picks in those draft classes. Okay. So that's your take. Connie's done a really good job of the last two drafts, according to the draft nerds that I follow and read and whose opinions I value. Like really, really two very strong draft classes.
Starting point is 00:35:08 But again, they're 18 and 19 year olds. So it's going to take a while before they're core players on NHL teams. Like the Wittenback kid in Quinn of PX torching it. Like if you do a redraft, he's not going around four or five or Yeah, he was a fifth. They need to get back into, they're going to need some Rasmus in two and Godreau in four and Manjapani and five. They're going to need some of that.
Starting point is 00:35:33 I don't even think the Manjapani is a great story. It's not the type of player that I'm talking about. Oh, I know. They're missing stars, guys. That's all they're missing. They've got all kinds of depth role-playing pieces in the system. Yeah, I don't have a star. Manjapani cycling between second and third line.
Starting point is 00:35:51 And what it does is it comes. comes back to our first thing when you come out and they were terrible at the start of the year. And we were, oh, you guys, you can't be fans if you're cheering. It's hard to get those blue chip guys at 16 and 18 and 21. It just looked like, well,
Starting point is 00:36:09 you're near the bottom of the standings. This is a chance for you to get at least one of those blue chip guys. So here's the question that puts it, I think, nicely perspective. How does this team get an undeniable number one center? Draft. And how many of those are there in a normal draft class?
Starting point is 00:36:27 What's this year's seriously? Because McKenna's not a center, isn't? No. And Stenberg's not a center. And Verroft's a defenseman and Carls and Reed these defensemen. Like, there might be one center. Who's that little Finn that couldn't score on a breakaway? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:36:42 Curry. He was more than a passer. Curry's a winger. No. I forget his Bjorn. Biorne. Jor. Bior.
Starting point is 00:36:50 We love Finns. Yeah. But like if you want to be a contender, which they always talk about being, you'll never be one without a number one center. And if you're hesitant to rebuild, show me where the hell you're getting your number one center. It's like once a decade one will get moved. Eichael in a spat with his team with a serious neck injury,
Starting point is 00:37:12 Joe Thornton because the Bruins went all in our culture and made a stupid, an idiotic move. Stop. Like, when else have we seen the number one center move? Almost never. the Gretz play center? Yeah, when did he move? That was 90.
Starting point is 00:37:26 91. That was a while ago. Yeah, 99. So that decade, you could. 99. Retired. Yeah, I was. emotional.
Starting point is 00:37:34 Yeah, it was. You can't just go add a number one center. No, and that's what I remember. You go trade for Austin Matthews. He's like, what are you talking about? I'm trying to talk about something else other than the flames lost. Oh. But.
Starting point is 00:37:47 It is so clear this team needs a high pick and it's so frustrating for the fan base that they won't publicly acknowledge. that. What this does, again, is it brings back into focus what you have said, well, not say you were whatever, but that focus has been, they are 10, whatever, and whatever at home, and they've been getting this. They have lost back-to-back games in just like that, bang, bang. They are 30th out of 32 teams, despite all of the good fortune and the great runs and Coleman this and back on that. Holtz and they, again, I think they have been near peak performance for what this team is capable of.
Starting point is 00:38:23 It's about as good as they can play. Maybe this is the start of a dip. Maybe it isn't. But even just two regulation losses, a tough one, they maybe should have got a point against Nashville, and then they had a lead, or they were tied,
Starting point is 00:38:35 and then control against Seattle. Sell asleep in the third period and lost handily, two regulation losses, and they're now not 500 anymore, and our third from the bottom. The dream season continues. Trader Asmus.
Starting point is 00:38:48 Well, it came up yesterday. I don't know if I sound smart or stupid, bringing it up, but the fact that Coleman and Backland are leading, that's part of my, that was part of my frame of thought. Yeah. Was, well, why are they leading? It's awesome. Those guys at that point in their career are having these seasons. But it's not sustainable.
Starting point is 00:39:12 And where is everyone else? We've got the full season projections on points for all the flames and the Pinder report because they hit the halfway mark before the game last night. there are some meager, meager numbers there. Let's go. And when Coleman and Backland are in the top echelon of offensive producers, you get a long way to go in adding talent. And that's the point is that awesome for those guys. Great third liners.
Starting point is 00:39:37 Great third lines. They're playing their ass. You add another winger to that. They can be a third line cup winning team. But they cannot be your top, two of your top four forwards. They can't. Like Coleman won two cups on the third. third line when he was five years younger.
Starting point is 00:39:54 Like, they don't have anything close to a top line player on this roster. There isn't one guy you could squint and say he's a top line guy. Nazim, great two-see, absolutely not a number one center. Who's their best winger? I think Coronado's got the most upside potential. Yeah, and he might score the most. And it's like, but he's limited to. There's a very awkward.
Starting point is 00:40:17 He's very limited. There's a very awkward, Jonathan. and humboldo conversation that has to be had. Because that's what this team has been missing the last three years. He hurt us back. There's calf like the team. On the breakaway try? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:33 Sure. Hearing loss clinic, locally owned and operated. They're here to help. Maybe this is the year you find the thing. I'm going to go and do it. And then you get in there. Man, I, here, try these on. Give this a listen.
Starting point is 00:40:47 See what you. Amazing how much you might be missing. And I can speak from experience at ID. to go back in because another year, another couple of years. Well, you're probably two years. Things change, right? The odometer keeps clicking. Things keep going.
Starting point is 00:41:02 And the thing is studies show health risks like dementia, depression, others linked to untreated hearing loss. Kids have no idea whether they're dealing with it or not. Are they're marks suffering at school? Apparently older people don't either. And older people, yeah, all of us. Because there's one that's at my house. Oh, yeah?
Starting point is 00:41:21 Well, you know where to take it? There's five locations in Chicago. Astronom. Really? In addition to that, custom ear protection, musician molds, in-air stage monitors. They're all the rage. You look at us. Man, what did I miss it?
Starting point is 00:41:38 I got to get in there. Rootsie, I mean, that's on you. I'm going to go in. Five hearing loss locations in Calgary. The new Chinook location over in University District, beautiful stuff. Also, five in BC, helping you hear better. is simply their way of helping you live better. Book an assessment today. Hearing loss.com.
Starting point is 00:41:56 The very, very best. The best people, the kindest people. Very good. They were so nice to you and you were such a jerk when you went in there. Well, I'm standoffish. Yeah. He was fasting that day. It wasn't his fault.
Starting point is 00:42:08 It was grumpy Tuesday. Standoffish. But no, this is another one of those things that kind of falls in line with, you know, you're into cleaner living, living better, health and low. We're not telling you about it until the show ends. but Jack Rat and I are Okay We've got a New Year's
Starting point is 00:42:27 Oh boy really Yeah How about because it's the hearing loss clinic We should bring in one of your idiot Guys that does the ratings of the prospects All the prospect nerds And then we could hear something positive Because all we do is shit talk
Starting point is 00:42:43 Huh? Great Huh? Huh? Huh? I can't hear you. Come again. I didn't hear yours.
Starting point is 00:42:53 Hey. You won't have that for an excuse anymore after you go to the hearing loss. I know you can hear me. You can hear me fine. Yeah. I know you heard my head. I talked to Rhodes. He said,
Starting point is 00:43:02 you're fine. You're fine. They wouldn't have hold your medical. No. They wouldn't do any. So I want to talk about this just because everybody else is talking about it. And it's Flames News. If we don't talk with that, it's always dangerous.
Starting point is 00:43:18 Zane Perak kind of got raked over the calls for comments he made at the World Juniors. just let me just let me lay it out i know you love interrupting me all of a sudden red sex hailing already one guy was tough i got two hurry up um osmosis goes to the world juniors lights it up life's good he's playing hockey he's he's he's the star of the team all that and he's asked just about you know you're confident kind of demeanor you seem to be enjoying it here was the initial i guess the initial interview that got things started show your personality. Was it by watching other athletes doing the same thing? I think it's more watching NHL guys be robots and not having any personality. So, you know,
Starting point is 00:44:08 I think you need some personality and it's kind of the best way to grow the game. And, you know, I don't want to come in here and be a robot. I mean, you know, when I'm in Calgary, I definitely have a lot of guys that are telling me to give really simple answers. But, you know, Here I could kind of do what I want. Thanks for not listening to that. Yes. Thanks for that. We appreciate it. Okay. So, I mean, and part of it is the media is pumping its tires.
Starting point is 00:44:34 They're, hey, thanks. You heard of the guys, thanks for saying it for doing that. Thanks for not doing that. We say it all the time. So that there is that. And we know what the reaction was. It didn't go over well. Flames, which we'll talk about. Now, this was yesterday. And again, this is the Canadians who have lost
Starting point is 00:44:49 the chance to win gold. They're playing in the bronze metal game. This is post game. Zane Perak, and I don't know that he was necessarily pushed to talk about it, but he came out with this yesterday. Like the other day when you talked about who you are in front of the media, would you learn about that and did you hear from the team about those comments? Nothing yet. I mean, I think some things got spun out of proportion,
Starting point is 00:45:14 and, you know, my words probably worded things wrongly, but obviously it wasn't my intent in the words I said. and, you know, I sincerely apologize to, you know, the Flames organization and my teammates, you know, at the end of the day, that's, you know, not acceptable and that can't happen. So if... What's that face, right?
Starting point is 00:45:38 Is your face for, is this camera frozen? I wasn't sure what was going on there. Yeah. Well, I'll just, back to you, Rhett. It's lame that this is a thing. I don't give a shit what he said. And if it got the guys in the Flames locker room upset, that's embarrassing.
Starting point is 00:45:53 and if he had to, they told him to make an apology, that's embarrassing. And if the media is blowing it out of proportion, that's embarrassing. Like, what are we talking about? Some kid made a car. It's much to do about nothing. Yeah. Who the cares? And people are trying to spin this into, oh, he's going to ask for trade or this
Starting point is 00:46:12 organization here or not on the same page. And, oh, the boys aren't going to welcome him back into the room. Like, how about it's a 19-year-old that just spoke his mind and had a media scrum laughing? and, you know, move along. That's, to me, it's exactly what has happened. The kid was having fun in a media scrum a million miles away from the Calgary Flames and the NHL. And, oh, we're having some yucks today.
Starting point is 00:46:39 Ha, ha, ha, I don't want to be a robot, you know. So that's what it's like at the NHL level. And what did he say? Yeah, exactly. And then he, that's your deep info? Yeah, then he goes on social media and is getting crushed. So who is this kid? This kid has got a deep.
Starting point is 00:46:52 he needs to learn a lesson. He's going to have to be put in his place. And I saw, I don't think the flames room is very. It's like, holy fuck. What did I, what did I say over here? He needs to get back in a game so badly so this could go away. It's just, like just play. Someone put him on the power play where he's actually going to help this team and let the kid play and be himself.
Starting point is 00:47:12 Not going to hurt. If you're trying to turn him into a third line shutdown, D, Matt, it's not going to go well. Let the kid do what he's good at. Like, I will say again, it's, it's unfortunate. That this whole thing, because what is the story that Zane Perak said something, and though maybe the flames are mad and all he had to have an apology, or that he had the best tournament ever for a D-Man? Ever for a Canadian D-Man.
Starting point is 00:47:36 He's won off Rasmus Anderson's dad who held the record for the Swedes. Like I can tell you what the, it's one, and I don't think it's him setting this record. It feels like. It's 100% not him setting the record. No one's talking about that. And it should be. And it should be. Like here's the thing.
Starting point is 00:47:53 there's all the disclaimers about, well, it's his peers, it's not men, and he's 19, and, you know, it's going to be different in the NHL. The speed limit's higher. He has a lot of learning today. And Ryan Husk spoke about a post game or before the game yesterday. He talked about, well, you know, the league was fast when he left. It's picked up another gear since he's gone. There's going to be a, it's a big change for him to go from World Juniors to this. But like, if you knew this kid was going there, what was a best case scenario you were hoping for, individually because the team thing you always want to win gold. But like, man, he's, he's going to set the record for defensemen for Canadians of the tournament.
Starting point is 00:48:29 That's phenomenal. Yeah. And instead it's like, and it kind of proves his point in a way that he says something rather innocuous. And hockey culture is all, oh, like that is kind of his point. And that's why guys don't say anything in interviews. Because anytime you show a little personality, it gets stomped. Well, he's 19. He shouldn't be saying this. I get what he's trying to say.
Starting point is 00:48:52 And then him having to apologize it really only reinforces what he's trying to say. And he didn't say anything. He didn't say it. For good, bad, or indifferent, it wasn't more entertaining. He didn't give a better answer. He went along with what they led him to. He got some chuckles in a scrum. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:07 It wasn't like he came out and had some deep dive into Dale Hunter's coaching. And you know what? And you know what, guys? Let me tell you what. Yeah. You know who told me not to say any. There needs to be more of what I'm about because, At the NHL level, when I get there
Starting point is 00:49:20 And Domit. Like, it wasn't that. Eric Francis had the comment from Weiger. We've spoken, this is Weiger talking about Perak. We've spoken about it already a little bit on text. I think he does feel a little bit bad about it, which is okay. Great. The fact that they're fucking talking about it, I swore against story is. How's that swear jar for Rhett coming?
Starting point is 00:49:44 We need a graphic. You guys were putting money down for every swear too. hundreds and hundreds of the sixth of january yeah it's um and again i hope in the room it's a joke it has to be portrayed as though this is oh rum if we're all that sensitive then we should shut our phones off and screens and all the above because we're clearly not capable honestly like you've got kids that are older mine are 10 you've got kids that are you know because boys are dumb like The worst thing a human can do is read into what's being written on social media. And for pro athletes, it's even worse.
Starting point is 00:50:25 It's even worse. And if the flames are following the world juniors, they're not focused on what's important. No, I'm sure it's this. What exactly on top of it. Someone on social says, oh, I can't believe Prick says this. Stay the office. Get rid of them. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:37 And my hope is that the flames feel the same way we do. Yes. That when they meet up with him today in Montreal. Hey, great tournament. That was nice. I was a good. Congrats on the Bronx. Hey.
Starting point is 00:50:49 You know, you're really, you're in big trouble, hey. Fuck, come on. We're going for stakes. We're, like, that's it. Just fucking move on from it. Yeah. And don't make it a thing. Don't make it a teaching moment.
Starting point is 00:51:00 He's learned all he needs to learn. Yeah, he doesn't even, he's going to shut his frigging mouth. And whether he should or not, he's not saying anything. When's the next time he's going to come out and say anything? That's a good lesson for kids to learn. Right. Speaking cliches, don't you know?
Starting point is 00:51:13 Montreal's a great city for him. you back to the boy. Not enough down time, unfortunately. I mean, when did they do? You know, it just kind of made me thinking it's not the same at all. But this year, watching Baker Mayfield in the NFL. Now, first overall pick and all of that. But they remember when he was, whatever, through like five, six, seven weeks,
Starting point is 00:51:34 he was like, this guy's the MVP of the league. They were playing great. And he was like, what kind of watching Baker out there? Like, he's a dog. He's an animal. He's running. He's taking hits, all this sort of thing. And so, when did your game?
Starting point is 00:51:45 changed. He's like nothing changed. Yeah. Just when I was young and I came into the league, I was cocky and brash and I was an asshole. But now I'm a dog and I'm a gamer and I've got, it's just the context is different because I'm older now and the results are maybe a little bit different. It's like, we just, we do love to eat things alive. Especially in hockey. Like it's not a this sport versus that sport, but the comments that he made would not draw any attention in a lot of other pro leagues. And that's right or for wrong.
Starting point is 00:52:20 It doesn't like each league and sport has its own culture. And it's not having to say there's a hierarchy of what's better and worse. It's just different cultures. Right. Tomorrow, Jamie McClendell will join us on the Crystal Waters Club. Oh, sure he will. Insider. Sure he will.
Starting point is 00:52:37 What do you ask you? See him last week, did we? Well, it was just deciding. Come and go as you please. I, now last week, he didn't come on. He was kind of the assumption. And rightfully so, because if there's a. show that'll take some time.
Starting point is 00:52:50 He was this one. Didn't get that memo? He was like, I, I assume we're not doing, you guys aren't on this week. I was like, well, no, actually we're doing shows. Oh, geez. Oh, geez. I didn't know. It's all right. We'll talk to you a weekend, whatever. Rett, not so much. He was like, get your ass to work. Let's go. Get your, get your sticks out. Right must be bored of shit, hey. And then I need to get out of town. And then I was seeing on his social. He had his son. They were skating on the canal in Ottawa.
Starting point is 00:53:17 They were out having some wonderful family time. The goalie kid. So don't feel bad. Don't give him a hard time. He was being a good father. He never bought me cheese toast. He pays for the cheese toast. He's going to get it.
Starting point is 00:53:32 When are they here? And he did come to town. He's been to town tons. Has Ottawa been here yet this year? He was in town on the summer. No, no, I know. I just mean like we got to pin him down. We have to pin him down to the Ottawa.
Starting point is 00:53:44 He comes and goes. He's bouncing around. He does come around. He does come around. He does. He does. He does. He's a world traveler.
Starting point is 00:53:48 He's all the time. But he can do it sneakily behind our backs when it's not the senators. I'm pumped down. He's, it's a four cheese toast order. I want to ask him. So,
Starting point is 00:53:59 did you like the punch? Did he deserve the, like, what happened with him and Razor? I missed that. Right in the kisser. Yeah. I don't think he.
Starting point is 00:54:08 I don't know. Sabers are focused. Tomorrow. Sabres are focused on winning. Crystal water is plumbing and heating. Your crystal clear choice for home comfort, 403, 219, 4.0.
Starting point is 00:54:17 100. Check them out at crystal clear Calgary.com. You've heard us blabbing about these garage heaters that they started doing this year. Great. Every day I walk into the garage just because it's been we've never had one. I walk it. Oh. Oh, wow. I mean, it's
Starting point is 00:54:32 I got people at my house. Same thing. So you don't. I wish I had one of those things. You don't have to start your truck like 20 minutes before you leave? Oh, we'll see. I park outside. Oh, shit. So the people that get to park in the garage. They really
Starting point is 00:54:49 I come in through the garage door so I got it's enough for me. I walk into the garage to go outside. Right. Oh man. Somebody gets to get in a vehicle that doesn't need to be warmed up. It's very toasty. Whoever's the most important person in your house, they got a warm car waiting for them. Yeah. And super impressed.
Starting point is 00:55:05 I mean, it looks awesome. The install, it's all, it's, they are the very best. Crystal Waters, plumbing and heating, your crystal clear choice for home comfort. I get crystal clearcalgary.com. If there's something going on in your house, they've got kind of like an intake thing. They've got their website. Like a form? When they were in doing it
Starting point is 00:55:20 that day, they were kind of showing me the apps that they have like this, you know, I'm pretty technical. Yeah, he is. This technological thing that they've got technological stuff, something like that. It'd be appropriate to, I'm not real technologically
Starting point is 00:55:36 smart. Yeah. That's one. But they are. But they are. Yeah. So they were showing. So here's all of the, their phones are all linked. and when a call comes in, it kind of tracks who's closest, who can go to that. If there's no heat call, this sort of thing, they're in constant communication with them. I don't want no one.
Starting point is 00:55:56 Questions come in on the website. Say, hey, this is what I'm looking at. Boop, boop. Okay, well, you're, you're in that department. You're specializing in this. Choo, chute, chute, chute, chute, chute, chute. Foo. Thank God there's an app.
Starting point is 00:56:08 Thank God you got crystal waters. Because I think if I was running some plumbing company, we'd be a fucking mess like a shit show. Any company, Dean. Yeah. If I were involved in a small business company, just don't do it. I shouldn't do it. If I decide to leave a steady, stable job and go out of my own,
Starting point is 00:56:33 hey, especially you two guys. Tell me, I'm crazy. Oh, yeah, we'll keep you in the guard race. We'll give you a head. Guardress. Yeah, next time. Suts a bitch. brought to my village Honda. It's a winter ready, pre-owned SUV event. You want your all-wheel drives.
Starting point is 00:56:54 You want your four-by-fouries. You want something that can handle Calgary's winter. Head to their website, village honda.com to see the inventory or you can head right up to the Northwest Auto Mall up in Royal Oak. It's test drive weather. You said it. Yesterday was cold, nicely. Today, it would be sloppy. By now you'd be sick. You're just tired of that S-box that you're driving. Yes. You've had enough. You're like, I honestly, like, I'm calling that stupid 1-800 song number. number, give it to the charity. I'm done with this car. You're out of here.
Starting point is 00:57:22 I need a new one. It's going to Flames Nation. Dot players were pretty quiet last night in the 5-1 lost of the crack, and that's the lead article by Flash and or his dog. I'm not sure who's writing these articles. That's a good-looking dog. She got a burner?
Starting point is 00:57:35 Is that a bear? Is that my dog? Flash, did you take my dog? Is that an Ozzy Shepherd? You son of a bitch. Is that a Bernice Mountain dog? That looks like a herding dog, right? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:57:46 Oh, people frustrate me. Flash or someone on your phone? I love Flash. You know, you and Flash are tight, eh? Mm-hmm. Yeah. Anyway, more there. Comments going on that.
Starting point is 00:57:56 Well, I screenshot that a couple hours ago. American bully. Flash? Yeah. Don't know who that is. Well, keep moving. Not just the NHL. You want more on Zane Perrex record-setting World Juniors.
Starting point is 00:58:09 Flames Nation, you got their article in that as well. He was fantastic. Offensively. Yep. And whether there are a few plays you wanted them to do things differently? Sure. Did he also set a record amongst all. Canadian defensemen ever in the tournament?
Starting point is 00:58:21 Yes, he did. Which is kind of crazy when you think about it. It sure is. Now, there would be some really good defensemen who have played for Canada at this tournament. And maybe there's some high-end guys that didn't play because they were drafted and then went right there. Sure. Still, that's the list of the best NHL defensemen that have played for Canada at the World Juniors would be a very large Hall of Fame list. I'm not saying that's where he's going, but it's elite company that he passed in setting the record.
Starting point is 00:58:46 we've referenced this earlier. This is not going to be easy for any money. Okay, here we go. Brian, we were having such a... Now, here's the thing. This is before yesterday's game. I'm sure they scored like six or seven goals yesterday. They're adding to the totals for sure.
Starting point is 00:59:00 Way higher. Or you could just subtract half a goal. Isn't it to 84 games? Yeah, it is 84. It's going to be way more. Yeah. Nazam Khadry is on pace for less than half of last year's goal. Total at 16.
Starting point is 00:59:14 A lot of helpers there. You kind of went a little Sy Young last. year a lot more goals than assists, but this year different. Rasmus on pace for nearly 20 goals, that's the season you wanted them to have no matter what camp you're in. If you're in the resign him, if you're in the
Starting point is 00:59:30 Trayton, if you're in the Rasmus is my favorite player ever, if you're in the Rasmus is no good. This is a great season Rasmus is putting together. Look at those numbers. 18 goals. Michael Backland on pace for 20. That is a monster year for Michael back. He's going to get salky votes. That's crazy at his age.
Starting point is 00:59:49 Well, 36. More than one, I'm going to say. Okay. Flash. Flash is down. Flash for sure. Yeah. Noodles. We'll talk. Coronado, 23 goals. You'd love to see that in the 25 to 30 range. This is a low scoring team. And then Johnny Hubert, who I think was career higher flirting with it last year, 30 plus, 18 and only 30 helpers. It's not his fault. There's no, it's more scoring around. Well, he could be the scoring around him. He can't assist on his own goals, right?
Starting point is 01:00:19 Well, then get some goals. We'll judge your assists. 48 points. Whoa. How many million is that per? 10 and a half, Dean. But it's like per point. 200 grand.
Starting point is 01:00:34 Someone did that, actually. I can find out. 200 grand a point. It's 50 points. Yeah, it is a couple grand of points. You know what? And I'm not, I don't remember who signed the contract or whatever. But I just know how I beat myself up about, you know,
Starting point is 01:00:49 Bad decisions, bad decisions, bad purchases. I would be just crushing myself on an hourly basis. Is that like stupid, bad? Like the guitar cables or the ramps? No, those are all great. Those are been great. What's an example of a bad purchase? It might be embarrassing.
Starting point is 01:01:07 That's okay. You're in the trust tree. Can you push it down? He's been doing that. Well, something like when it, if it was to that level, like 10.5 million a year, oh boy, even I might not be able to keep. that down. You've got to wash it.
Starting point is 01:01:21 I watch it every other day. Bad purchase. There's plenty. There's a lot. Look at those cars. It's weird. Yeah, because I kind of justify it in my own mind
Starting point is 01:01:31 to make myself feel better. Right. Yeah. Is that accurate or do you just do that? You had a trans sam. Yeah, remember you're going to. You know what? I regret selling the transam.
Starting point is 01:01:40 I really should have just kept that and fixed it. Oh, there you go. Yeah, that's your regret. Okay. Well, that's not the same as a bad purchase. You know what, in fairness, I broke even on that car. I broke even on that. that car. Yeah. All right.
Starting point is 01:01:52 Blake Coleman, another monster year, 26 for your checking third line. God, he's good. I'm going to get another one. You're going to get another one? You know what? That's on my bucket list. I've got so much money running all these companies. Yeah. Yeah. Tell the Wolverine start selling some shit. Frost,
Starting point is 01:02:08 16 goals. Love to see him at 20. Fairby. You said 25. He's got to get hot, but he's been much better than the finishing department. You said 20? Yes. That's great. So that's great. He's close. This damn pinder? I literally just I thought he said 25. Uighur had 20 a few years ago,
Starting point is 01:02:24 not a banner year offensively for him. And Jack's boy, Connor's area, 30. Get a going, Connor. I'm still a Uyghur guy. I'm too. I don't worry about it. Not a good year, though. It has been a dog fight for him.
Starting point is 01:02:39 It seems like, and he will tell, I'm sure he would tell you the same thing. Because it feels like it's a nightly basis. He's sitting on the bench shaking his head after some miscue or something's gone wrong. It's just, this has not been the year he hoped. And he wore it post game last night. He said, I got to be harder on the one play that led to the goal. Like, I wasn't happy with that. Like, he's not hiding. No, I got, again, I got all the time of the world. And you want to put his offensive numbers into context? Let's go to the next page. His partner, Yan Kuzenetzel has been up for
Starting point is 01:03:08 how long? Like a month? He's on pace for six goals too. Nine actually, because he's hardly played. Yegor's flirting with 20 He always, is he the slow start guy? Is that his thing now? Don't do that. Better in the hot run of December, but last two nights. This is the thing that I'm taking from these numbers, because you have Sharon Golich at 18 and Huberto was at 18.
Starting point is 01:03:33 Yeah. If that's 18, then 18's nothing. Like I used to think 18 goals is a pretty good season. If those two guys with what we watch over 82 games, If that's what an 18 goal guy is, then we need to up our standards. So you're saying if you went to the grocery store with over $16 million, you could buy two forwards. You'd want more than 18 each.
Starting point is 01:03:52 It's just amazing to me that that level of play can kind of balance out as an 18 goal season. Clapper will be up. He scored one last night. That probably puts him closer to eight on his pace. And yeah, Lomburg, he's actually tucked in a few. What is Robert doing? I mean, of course, Hanley. We don't need to pro-rate all these guys for points.
Starting point is 01:04:17 They're not here and all again. What are you doing, Bob? I want the, you're all sitting over the love seat, all pouty about Canada, throwing stuff around, slamming closed his laptop. Cool it, Munich.
Starting point is 01:04:28 Bobby Germany, take a chill pill. God damn it, Bob. Settled out over there. As for the Calgary Flames and their playoff chances, after seeing those numbers, you won't be surprised by the next numbers. This is Bet 365 this morning. Their odds of making.
Starting point is 01:04:42 the playoffs plus 500 if you think they're getting in and you're going to have to lay a lot down. You'll lay 800 to win 100 if you think they're missing the playoffs. Chicago softly whispered. By the way, look at our boys in Buffalo, rent. Oh, baby. Almost even money. Come on, Samers. Full prediction.
Starting point is 01:05:06 We'll keep moving. Deal. Schedule for January. We looked at it already. The five game road he starts tomorrow. It's Montreal, Boston, back to back. Then it's a matinee in Pittsburgh. Then they go to Columbus on Tuesday.
Starting point is 01:05:18 They close the road trip in Chicago, which sounds like a soft touch, but I feel like Chicago's beating them twice this year. That will not be a soft touch. Your fifth game and being gone for almost two weeks. End of the road trip. Day nine or ten of the roadie. And they've
Starting point is 01:05:34 had your number this year. Get me the F out of here. I'm just trying to find if the Yeah. Goodness. I think they've played him twice. Can you fill for a second for me, Dean? No, we're talking about Chicago that game.
Starting point is 01:05:48 And by then, Badaard's going to be back because he's been practicing. They'll be, yeah, it'll be. Yeah. And you know what? There'll be another week closer to that Olympic break that none of them are going on. It'd be like, boys, we're two weeks from Cabo. They've lost to combine nine to two in two games against Chicago, four nothing and five two. You don't want to be injured going into that Olympic break.
Starting point is 01:06:07 No, you don't. Stick it around a countdown. You should say the place we got rented. It's right on the last. the water. There's nine hot tubs in this. Nine. How many? Nine hot tubs.
Starting point is 01:06:19 Nine. Yeah. Thank you. Let's continue to move. January looks tough. There's a big break the next month. We have Zane Porek updates. Connie yesterday makes it official.
Starting point is 01:06:30 He's going to join the team on their five game road. He gets to Montreal, settle in, enjoy the culture. Have a smoked meat sandwich. No, he went home for a couple nights. Don't. Go right to Montreal. Home will always be there. Montreal?
Starting point is 01:06:43 He's a kid, he's got to go home. No, he's a kid and he's going to Montreal. Now, we talked yesterday about, you know, does he go back to junior this or that? I'm glad it's going this way. I am. Yeah, now this, like, maybe this is for the, like, does this mean he's with the team for the rest of the year?
Starting point is 01:06:59 I believe it does. I believe it does. Jan 10's coming in four days. Yeah, so Jan 10 means that's the last day you ran out for sure. Well, that's what Camie said, and she works with the dub. I'm taking her word for it. As far as the, availability to send someone back to junior hockey.
Starting point is 01:07:15 And I think after our deep conversation, we all kind of agreed that get him with your team. Yeah. Don't, no more coaches, no more, he went to world juniors, he got a medal, play him back. If he doesn't play a shitload of hockey, the rest of this hockey season, it's not the end of the world. Just get him into your ecosystem and start to get him,
Starting point is 01:07:42 part of the team. Because I would feel like, and you probably felt like, and every situation's different, but even when it's like, hey, we love you. You know we love you. We're going to send you to the World Junior. You want you to go to World Junior. There's a disconnect there.
Starting point is 01:07:55 You're not with the team. Right. And when you're young, you probably feel like, well, I think I'm okay. Am I okay? I'm on the team. I think I'm pretty sure I'm going back. Get them back.
Starting point is 01:08:06 Yeah. It's just, yeah, good. You're back. You're part of the team. You're right back into the day-to-day operations of what it is we're doing. they need it i mean you're laughing they they cannot i'll say they cannot have this go south yeah it's time to start he's a top 10 pick he's one he was at a world tournament and had one of the best tournaments ever this guy needs to play big time roles for your team agreed then play
Starting point is 01:08:32 play them play the piss out or not in the playoffs here's the issue and you're not wrong oh and it's not really an issue because we don't know what they're going to do you're 30th yeah If you can't play your number one prospect, talent, offensive changer. Yeah. When you're 30th? Hmm. And everybody's talked about it. You've talked about it.
Starting point is 01:08:56 Francis last night is. And your power play is the shits. The worst in the NHL. I checked 32nd. How many teams in the league? Just make sure I'm right? If you want to find a spot. Right?
Starting point is 01:09:07 Right. Where you can't hope for better. Oh. Power play time. Who are you taking out? Well, I can't. You don't mess with a winning lineup. That power play?
Starting point is 01:09:19 How do you get in there? Oh, my God. Like, how am I supposed to get a job on this? Yeah, just put him in there. He can make all kinds of mistakes. Him or him or him or whatever. Yeah. So put them in a spot to succeed.
Starting point is 01:09:33 Let's work on a solution here. Whatever work for the first month, don't do that again. Whatever you're doing. Old friends. We love keeping tabs. Old friend. Mark Jankowski. Already mentioned on the show today.
Starting point is 01:09:46 What? Mark Schenka. High prospect for the flames. Yeah, well, he was, draft, draftaries loved him. Horrid injury in his offseason. Really nice debut in the Colorado series
Starting point is 01:09:55 in the playoffs. Valamaki. Oh. Never the same after that offseason injury. 27. 27. Traded to Carolina. Four?
Starting point is 01:10:05 Is that Victor Nata? Who's that John Nata? Yeah. Billy Zilch. Nata now. Ted Zero. yeah, he was on waivers last week, went unclaimed.
Starting point is 01:10:17 Here you go. There you go. And so the reason you would not claim him and trade for him is if you believe he needs time in the A and you don't want him on the NHO now. You want to, that's, you could have had him, but need to keep him up. Nope.
Starting point is 01:10:31 We'll take him though if we can send him down. Yeah. If you get them through waivers, then we'll take them. We'll take him for nothing. Yes. What a deal. Does, uh, does,
Starting point is 01:10:43 Tulsky by Armstrong like a sandwich at the next GM meeting. How do you even that up? I don't know. Tulski, you love Tulski. What does he see here? Well, I think he sees someone that'll help his HL team. That's why he had to clear waivers. He doesn't think he's in NHL or now or we would have picked him up for free last week.
Starting point is 01:11:02 Okay, we'll keep moving. Bottom 10, we showed you. Flames are 30th. Look at us taking pleasure in his, right? We're not. We're a pretty big fan. Honestly, that was a devastating injury. But we were up in arms when they put him on waivers lost.
Starting point is 01:11:16 I still think it was the wrong move. Yeah. I do still think it was the world. You kept guys that you didn't need to keep and this guy still had potential, but didn't work out. I agree. Because if we changed, in fairness, if we changed our mind, that would have meant we were wrong. We can't be wrong. And I mean, I work on the show and I'm never wrong.
Starting point is 01:11:32 So we can't be wrong. Yeah. Okay. Good. Just so we're clear. Got it. Last night, NHL, results to get to. How was it in the upside down bowl?
Starting point is 01:11:41 Well, we got a Utah win. that's good. Caps stomp the ducks. They're on hard times. The ducks on the road coming back to her at the long season. You know what they need? Pat Verbeak, last year of his deal, they need a blockbuster deal at the deadline. You've already got some vets. You got your colognes, your Croydors, Goudis, Truba. You got your young goalie. You got the young kids coming. Go get one more peace, ducks. Because I really need the Oilers to lose in round one. Wings beat the senators five to three. Seattle, we talked about it already. They beat the Flames 5-1 in a game that felt like Flames are in total control of through 40.
Starting point is 01:12:18 And a great game to finish the night, Darcy Kemper was sensational late as the wild pressed hard. They were down 1-0-0-0-0. And eventually the Kings pulled away with an empty-nitter at the end. Kemper's having a great year, fellas. I don't know how much of the Kings you've seen. He's very good. We got concussed. Cuckus?
Starting point is 01:12:35 Guys were calling him soft. I know we've been ragging on the Canadian goalies. But then he came back and he's been good. Kemper's been very good, and Logan Thompson is your favorite to win the Vezna right now. Those are two Canadians. I don't know if we have been. Thompson's, I mean, it's Calgary. Calgary boys.
Starting point is 01:12:52 Right from down the, down to Cardell. I'll say this. You build a team. You build a team from any city in North America. I'm taking Calgary over everyone. You got the Morrissey McCar, top pair. You got the best tandem of any Canadian city. You got a Aidan Hill, Logan Thompson.
Starting point is 01:13:07 Okay. And then up front, you got your Braden points. These are things you think about it. Oh, Calgary guys. That's great. Got a lot of time. I want to see Calgary players do well. So after Braden point, how many forwards?
Starting point is 01:13:17 Are we playing three lines, four lines? We're going to go NHL 94, three forwards, two D one goal. Canberle count? Because he lives here. No, not technically. You could take Taylor Hall if you're getting greasy. I think he was born here. But I don't know where he cracks the line.
Starting point is 01:13:31 Lowry? Lowry would be great. There's your two, three. But he wasn't born here. Yeah. Dang. Yeah, if it's birth certificates, you might be in trubs. Oh, if it's birth certificates.
Starting point is 01:13:41 You get Will Nealander, though. He was born here. Okay. He's old manager. I'll take him. Yeah. Anyway. I don't know if I would take him.
Starting point is 01:13:50 It's another one of those guys. You got Logan O'Connor edging him out or what? Yeah. Can we loop in like Erdry and Cochran and that? Can we start to maybe some Oketocke's kids, get some Bernard Docker rolling in? Peyton Krebs coming out of us. Yeah. It's game with it.
Starting point is 01:14:09 What do we got next, Jack? USHL news or do we got the NHL news? Top center prospect in the draft leaving the USHL to the Boston University Terriers mid-season right now. I may have heard from an organization
Starting point is 01:14:24 that we're just off to watch him play junior and now it's changed all their travel plans. Very good player and likely to be the top center off the board of the draft. That should interest the flames, depending where they pick. I'll tell you what, for Tynan. Good name.
Starting point is 01:14:38 It's going to be a bit of a, Different living situation from Muskegon to Boston. Yep. Different towns. My old man played in Muskegon, believe it or not. Muskegan tough town. Yeah. The lumberjacks.
Starting point is 01:14:54 Terriers. It's the time in the terrier. Surrey gets picked. Good player. I wonder. So what, I mean, without the double A is just running rough shot over. Yeah. Without knowing anything about it.
Starting point is 01:15:05 I mean, is this just, you know, is this a kid saying, hey, the competition? I'm just running the show. down here. Any better competition? Is it in coaching things? The family's the agent. We're not getting noticed in Muskegon. We've got to go somewhere else. I just can notice. But I think if you really want to solidify where you're at for the draft, go play
Starting point is 01:15:22 against guys three, four years old. Like, is that going to be one of those things when it comes draft times like this? Tynne and Lawrence had a tremendous season. But playing at the competition level was just that. My general opinion on this is a stupid idea to have to rush to the NCAA. Everyone's in a hurry to get to somewhere. Yeah. Go get it, I guess.
Starting point is 01:15:40 But if he plays well there, that's going to severely bump his stock. Like, he might be a top three pick in this year's draft class. Oh, he's one of those rich kids that went to Shatter. There you go. 56 points of... As a 16-year-old last year, he was the MVP of the U.S.HL final, I believe his team won. Whoa. So this is, if you like centers, this is probably the top guy on your board.
Starting point is 01:16:04 We'll keep moving. Other NHL news, Jackie. New Brunswick, Dean. Is he from New Bronswick? What does Shatter, Patrickton? How many new Brunswickers? Be a hell of a kid. Brad Marchand's in Toronto tonight,
Starting point is 01:16:16 and that is a gift that all of us aren't thankful enough for. Marchand was asked about signing in Toronto, the departure of Mitch Marner, how close he was to being a leaf. Brett buckle up. The quote machine is at it here. It's unfortunate the fans ran Marner out of town.
Starting point is 01:16:31 I mean, he's a huge impact on their group. He's a point per game player. That hurts. He does love to stir it. He's so good at this. and guys get to free agents. They talk to a lot of teams. You don't have to bring it up.
Starting point is 01:16:42 You don't need to twist the knife. Or do you if you're Brad Marchand? Because he said, yeah, I was going to be a leaf. It was between Florida and Toronto where I was going to go. He didn't think it would be an option to stay in Florida because they're cap spot. Yeah. You almost had me, guys. Isn't that exciting?
Starting point is 01:16:56 No one did think it was going to be an option. But then it was because he signed until he was 46 years old somehow. Yeah, he's on the roster until he's 67 making lower money. He's not kept circumvention at all. Now, what we don't have is the Marchand, apology afterwards. He doesn't have to. He doesn't have to, no. For those vicious comments.
Starting point is 01:17:14 Definitely not a robot. Yeah. That's someone to look up to if you like personality in hockey. He isn't in the kachucks. I think it's bullshit he talks out. That's right. Red, give him a peace of your mind. One shot on Red. Hey, Marcian, what have you?
Starting point is 01:17:28 Throw to me for. Do you have two cups? Okay. So that's what we need you when you swear. You need to stop apologizing for swearing. No, I just don't like the kids to hear. bad language. Not about the actual.
Starting point is 01:17:40 Get off the YouTube. Watch in this garbage. Read a book. There was a guy that texted me yesterday, so this kid was pumped. Something I said, no. Tonight's games. Let's go to it. You've changed the game.
Starting point is 01:17:52 Big slate tonight, Jack. Oh, man. Six games. 16 games. 14 games. Holy. Let's play the puckdoku version where we find a player that played for both teams, and we call the something bowl.
Starting point is 01:18:05 So that would be like the, Cody Hodson Bull. I was going to say Zach Cassie. That was at the side of the trade. Perfect. Lightning and Alves.
Starting point is 01:18:15 Oh, I feel like there's a goalie, baby. Who played for Tampa and Colin? Ryan Miller. Eunice Johansson? I think JJ was there before he went to town. Trevor Seagris Bowl
Starting point is 01:18:28 and Philips. It's obviously the Rantan slash Dancoven Bowl in Carolina. Jersey Islanders. I think you have to complicate this. It's not to announce a trade between the two teams. It's to find a guy that, you know what I mean? No. Well, the play for both. Yeah. Just a guy that played for both. So say a guy who played in the
Starting point is 01:18:47 island. Did Gianta play on the island? That's what I was doing. Yeah. Yeah, but you announced a trade. Well, we just, that's coincidence. Oliver Eckman-Larsden Bowl in Toronto. Vegas. They would have a guy for sure. Vegas, Winnipeg? Yeah. Schmidt. Yeah, and he's Schmidt, there you go. Edmonton. Freds Oilers. Oh, that's the goalie that we ended up in Montez.
Starting point is 01:19:15 Devin Dubinick Bowl. There you go. Okay. Columbus. You're just announcing a trade. Yeah, it's not as good when they're direct trades across the board. No, I know. It's just easier. Columbus San Jose.
Starting point is 01:19:27 That'll be a hard one. I don't know who's played for any of those teams. We'll revisit the sharks and blue jackets later because we love back on Celebrini and he's at home tonight. And the brunes for the flames will see in two nights are in Seattle. They're going to come all the way back from Seattle first. This is good. This is good.
Starting point is 01:19:44 All right. Hello, Seattle. The Seattle's in Seattle tonight? That's right. They were here. They were just here. I believe that's called a Toit turn. Toit.
Starting point is 01:19:55 They're lucky. They got the time change. Columbus San Jose. I feel like there's got to be a D man or something. Some Jeff Jilson or some Mike Rath G or some. Rath G. a lie a little lie It might be a
Starting point is 01:20:11 No, he was never in San Jose No, okay Joe Thornt never play for the Blue Jackets Not that I recall Marlow against him Pat Falloon Oh, Ray Whitney Oh, well done Very good.
Starting point is 01:20:23 Did we get the Islanders Devils? That's pretty good, right? That's actually, It's a really good poll. The Wizard. Did Giante ever play on the island? Are my crazy? I don't think Gio, did he?
Starting point is 01:20:31 I thought he went out at the end. So then that's Lou is there. like, oh my God, Lou, let it go. Enough. Cal Polybara Bowl, for sure, he played both. There you go. Okay, we got them all.
Starting point is 01:20:43 Nice work, everyone. Do you want to, now do you want to go back? No. You were kind of insulted by the Anaheim Philly one. You just kind of did the Zegras where they traded. It was direct trade between those two teams. Surely there's another Kurtzauer. There'd be some player.
Starting point is 01:20:57 Peter Forsberg. Oh, wow, well done. Yeah. Right. See, he's good at this. He always says he has CT. He's smart. He's sharp.
Starting point is 01:21:06 Was Forzburg a duck? I don't know. I was just throwing out a name and you guys bit? I'm like, wow. Was Forksburg a duck? We're thinking of Paul Correa, weren't we? The Korea was never a flyer. I had no.
Starting point is 01:21:21 Let's just delete that last 20 seconds, Jack. It's the Pinder Report. NFL playoffs. You're trying to do the Pinder. You say it loud and forceful enough. People just assume you know what you're saying. Wow. Just barge rates later.
Starting point is 01:21:32 Just speak with confidence. Beg for forgiveness later. Here's your playoff bracket. Oh, I love teal. Oh, mama. Feb 8. That is the day to the Super Bowl. It's in San Fran Kina.
Starting point is 01:21:44 It's in Santa Clara. It could have been home field for the Niners. The whole way, all they had to do was win last week. Yeah, they blew it. Instead, they got on the go on the road to Philly. Hoy. They wouldn't have to left their building if they won that game last week. And instead, they got pumped by Seattle.
Starting point is 01:22:00 They got the buy in the NFC. Broncos have the buy in the AFC. We got some good games. You know what I see? I see Teal. I see a lot. I also see a path for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Jack. At home against the Texans.
Starting point is 01:22:18 This is great. Texans into the playoffs. It's a nice step for them. Nine in a row, though. It doesn't matter. That doesn't matter now. It's about this game coming up. What does matter is the Texans defense.
Starting point is 01:22:30 It does. But the Steelers defense, you saw it. The curtain. The curtain. You saw the curtain the other. night. No, I didn't I missed. I was watch. How many points did they? I mean,
Starting point is 01:22:43 yeah, I guess. Okay, forget about save flowers. Yeah. The curtain. Without Lamar and save flowers. I'm telling you, I see a path here because anyone, what are they going to talk about the Texans when you play the Texans this week, Jack? They're going to talk about the Texans defense. And then when you win, you're playing against Denver. What are they going to
Starting point is 01:23:00 tell you about next? Broncos defense. The Brock. Huh. Huh. And then it's Pittsburgh, Buffalo. And we're going. And we're going. And we're going to talk about the Buffalo DeV. No, we're not talking about. I think if Buffalo wins, though, they'll go to Denver
Starting point is 01:23:12 because they're the lower seat. So Pittsburgh would go to New England. New England. But that would set up the Steelers bill. And that's all the favorites plus the Steelers win. I see a path, Jack. I see a path too. Don't you? I see that's right there. You know what? Let's go look at the
Starting point is 01:23:28 Super Bowl odds at Bet 365. Let's take a peek. Who do they like? What's going on here? Take the fun. Seahawks favored. Rams, tougher path, but very good. Broncos on the buy. Eagles have to deal with San Franon round one. Patriots heavily favored against the Chargers at home.
Starting point is 01:23:45 They'll only go on the road if Denver is left. Bill's at 10 to 1, Red, Red, hello. Texans 11 to 1, Jaguars, 14 to 1, and everyone else was 20 or more. Including your bears, my chargers, Jack Steelers. So with that said,
Starting point is 01:24:02 because it's kind of been one of those years. The chiefs have been garbage. If you had to state your claim and your life on a team, who is it? I'd take Seattle because they're first. I can't take Seattle. And they just went into San Fran. Jack can't take Seattle.
Starting point is 01:24:19 I don't trust Donald. I don't trust Donald. And the run game is not like, it might be the Rams for me. I think the Rams are the most complete team if they're right. I love the bills this year. I don't care. They don't have.
Starting point is 01:24:35 And you know what else to me is these frigging patriots, the quarterback is really good. The defense is strong. Yeah. I'm not saying it's easy and they're steamrolling, but like there isn't Mahomes or Burrow on the other side. It's guys that haven't done it before. Herbert hasn't done it. Lawrence hasn't done it. Bo Nix hasn't done it.
Starting point is 01:24:58 Rogers is ancient. Stroud's no good. Like if you have to pick one quarterback to ride with in the AFC, it's job. I mean, yes, he is the best quarterback on that side. And that doesn't mean they're going to win the AFC. But the way they've been eliminated is when they've run into another future Hall of Fame quarterback. Teams have kind of made Josh look.
Starting point is 01:25:19 They've got the same coach. They always F's about it. Josh has kind of been on the run. I'm not saying he has. He has, but I'm telling you. Allens the MVP. It sets up for a beautiful playoff sports. Just careful.
Starting point is 01:25:34 I'm not critiquing Josh. You were treading. Real close to... Jakey Pants? I'm a big Josh guy. I'm just saying watching him... Well, he doesn't have a receiver to throw to. Well, yeah.
Starting point is 01:25:48 And Ston Diggs is a bad guy, apparently, and he's long gone. Not surprising. Can't bring him back. Rat, you're saying Seattle? I just thought it was impressive. They went into San Fran in a must win and stomp them, gave up three points. It's just, to me, all of the top seeds,
Starting point is 01:26:06 have some question marks. Oh, yeah. And that's, it doesn't feel like it's, you know, Tom Brady's Patriots or, but Mahomes is chiefs that are left in the team that won last year?
Starting point is 01:26:18 One last year? Fly, yeah, oh, they're still there. They've not been oppressive, but they're there. Well,
Starting point is 01:26:24 you know what? Last year, Sequin had the year of his life. And it felt, it felt like, okay, you could see that. They haven't looked great.
Starting point is 01:26:34 They haven't looked great. I'm wondering, though, It's playoffs. At the right time. Yeah. Here's your slate. I want to talk about the bears?
Starting point is 01:26:41 Anyone want to talk about that? We're just getting there right now. Saturdays two games. Rams start at Panthers. They're heavy favorites. Biggest favorite of the weekend against Carolina. 13 or 14, right? Yeah, a big number.
Starting point is 01:26:53 Foof. 10 and a half I'm seeing. Packers will travel to Chicago. They're favorite on the road. But the bears have been good, Dino. Are we have a watch party? Yes. Actually, I might be out of town this week.
Starting point is 01:27:06 What the, Better be for some kids related. Are you going to be a groupie for that band again? No, I'm not nerd alert. The line is Rams by 10. Going back to the mouth. The bears are now minus one. That's swung.
Starting point is 01:27:24 Bill's favored by one and a half at Jacksonville. That's a scary opener. Jags have looked very good lately. They are good. Eagles by four and a half at home. They're favored over the Niners. That's your afternoon game on Sunday. The night game is charges.
Starting point is 01:27:36 Patriots favored by three and a half, Harf, and the Monday nighter, the Houston Texans on the road, favored by three against the curtain. Are we doing a show? Wild card weekend. Are we doing a show? Pender was saying he's got curling or something.
Starting point is 01:27:51 I can be there for the second half. That's what I promised to you. Don't come. Curling? Don't come. He needs me here. No, he doesn't. Here's the thing.
Starting point is 01:28:00 If you're putting curling. Yes. Then it's not important enough for you to be here at all. Charity curling. It's not even a charity. I lost some Frou-Fru. World Championship in the 70s last night.
Starting point is 01:28:11 It was no good. They have their little drinky cups. Oh, we got to go down to the club, Dean. Go down to the club for the hundred and a curling match. Yes, I might have a bit of a reach around while I'm there. They're on the house. I've not found that room yet. We'll keep moving.
Starting point is 01:28:29 Tommy Will and Jane. Oh, no, before we get there. Sorry. Bills. Aren't at home. On the road, better tailgating weather. Watch and you'll understand. A little slippery up top on the old SUV there.
Starting point is 01:28:49 I thought he was just going for the snow. He was never making that. I don't know why you want to go that far. Watch how slippery the roof is. If you've ever had the snow on. Oh my God, dude. Oh. So you're at the back of the head, now the front of the head.
Starting point is 01:29:01 How's your neck? No, keep the volume up. This is some bad math. Well, it's Buffalo. Look, the table close. He's going to fucking die. Jesus Christ. Put the table closer.
Starting point is 01:29:13 He's going to bleeping die. Yes. There we are. Third time is a chair. Half ass it. I love the cold beer flag. Where do I get one of those? Oh,
Starting point is 01:29:23 I can see it. What do you talk? Is that a chick or a dude? Top left there. It says cold beer. That's where they're selling cold beer. One of those. Traction.
Starting point is 01:29:32 Oh. Jack, if we got you a cold beer flag. Is that a dude? What would you do it? Where would you put it? Put it in my house somewhere. Okay.
Starting point is 01:29:39 I got to get you cool. Lunch your birthday? Not to love for. I got a big Heineken flag from the brewery in 2000. A box somewhere in my house. You can have that one. Zubaz pants and a skirt. It's a vibe.
Starting point is 01:29:53 Won't need that in Jacksonville. You can layer down. How he made it. She. Is that a she? Well, look at the pigtails. If you have braided pigtails, that's an uncommon look beyond just the Zubaz onesie in the skirt.
Starting point is 01:30:08 Is that a lady? I don't know. We don't know. No. That's a guy. That's a guy. That's a dude. That's a Buffalo 9.
Starting point is 01:30:18 Not that we're judging. He him, she, I've had sweat. They're having a great time. That's all you need to them. Best game. You know I'm a good friend of yours because I'm not going to make a joke about women from Buffalo. We'll keep moving.
Starting point is 01:30:30 Tommy Whelton Jr. Big congratulations. He's going to join Team Canada for their training ahead of the World Cup. That's a boy. And is it a good time to get out of Calgary, January 8 to 8 to 8th. Oh. Oh, Tommy. Tommy.
Starting point is 01:30:44 I don't think I can. It's not paid leave, but it's pretty damn good. Congratulations, pal. Love that. Awesome. World Cup here, eh? Don't get caught cheating like the, the, the old group, yeah. Yeah, they won't do that.
Starting point is 01:30:56 No drones, Tommy. Was it the men's? Or was it both? Both got guns. Women for sure, right? And the men, too. But they're not trying. What are they doing?
Starting point is 01:31:04 Not cheating. You're not trying. They're doing what lots of teams do all around the world that don't get cut. They just got cut. Oh, shit. Tom Brady. Bellichick. They were doing a spy gate.
Starting point is 01:31:13 Yeah. Belchick stuff. Tomlin's, not the date in someone a quarter of your age. That was totally different. That's Hallman? Tomlin wouldn't do it.
Starting point is 01:31:22 They don't win in the blast. Finally, your big hunter? Love negative. Yeah. Shoot and shit. Now, part of the key to good hunting is a good disguise.
Starting point is 01:31:31 So you get up in the tree, you got the camo on. It's a decoy. Yes, there you go. Yeah. Now, this is camouflage meets decoy. Rhett, I've never seen you so into something. I'm proud of you.
Starting point is 01:31:56 I love nature. Yeah. Love getting out. Love being in the water. All these times you said you were going for a cold plunge. I didn't know this is what it was. Oh, no, I'm a birder. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:32:06 Yeah, I sort of thought you'd be in the zoo bas-bikini bottom, but no, this is the outfit. Amazing, you could do that with your shoulders. I didn't know you had that kind of range. Oh, that's the only movement. That's the limited range of motion that you have. Oh, you're dedicated, and we love you. That's your Pender Report for the. Tuesday, January 6th for Village Honda.
Starting point is 01:32:25 Talking pre-owned vehicles. We're talking nearly 100 on the lot. Access to over 500 in the dealer group. Go to villagehonda.com. That's where all your automotive adventures begin. We're just head up to the Northwest Automall, Villageana.com. Guy in the chat is saying put the bird in the air. Does swans, can they fly?
Starting point is 01:32:41 Oh, yeah, yeah. Can they? Are they a bird of flight? They are. Why did people do those sorts of things? Getting the Pinder report. Fame's not easy to come by these days. I was waiting.
Starting point is 01:32:54 So is he now going to pull out some sort of handgun and start shooting all the birds around him? That's what you know. It's going to take a bit of a dark turn. It was too dumb to be AI. Because it wasn't really a payoff. At the burst, think he's a bird. I really hope to get him right on the nose.
Starting point is 01:33:11 Like, bat my nose. Because they're mean little pricks in they bite you. Like when you're on a boat and there's birds and you grab him by the beak. They'll get you. Yeah. careful careful now bet 365 official gaming partner of barn burner can't wait we take a look at our bet 365 bets of the day big weekend coming up if you don't have that account set up and you get just you maybe you need to top it up do whatever you need to do if you haven't set that account up yet get one and use the code nation when you sign up
Starting point is 01:33:42 game props player props totals the money line once the game starts you're not too late it's just heating up that's right download the app get it in the game must be 19 or older. All right. We got a couple of games are dialed in on here. We told you about the sharks and blue jackets in San Jose. Maclin Celebrini is a mega stud.
Starting point is 01:34:01 It's not a shock anymore. We're going to parlay four shots and two points. That's a good night for Macklin. He's had a lot of them this year. Plus 250 if that hits. Now, I'm taking the over on the Preds and the Oilers. Preds are playing better.
Starting point is 01:34:14 Oilers still don't have anything resembling number one goaltending. And they've been off for a bit. And Leon was quiet coming out of the holiday break. I think we get some goals tonight in Edmonton. Looks like it'll be Ingram against Saros. Let's go.
Starting point is 01:34:29 There you go. Looking at it, the Oilers, overs hit their last two games coming out of the holidays. Six two lost to the burns. Five two lost to the Flyers. The Predators, what have they been doing late? Well, they just were here over, over, over, three of the last four have been overs.
Starting point is 01:34:45 What's the scoop with, there you go, bet three, six, five bets of the day? You could use Ryan's or whatever you want. Use your own. Tweek that. Pender and put dry saddle in there for a point at least. I got a McDavid dry saddle two points each parley but that's a big number. I don't, that's not for everyone. But you're big gang, you're hunting.
Starting point is 01:35:01 Big game out there. What's the Jerry goalie situation there? Because he got hurt. It was a week to week. Jerry or Jerry? Jerry. Jerry. Oh, I was actually Hey, Jerry. Jerry. Jerry. Jerry. You know what Jerry? Jerry. That's what we could
Starting point is 01:35:17 yes. Jara. It's Jari. Okay, Jerry. whatever you want it to be, buddy. So he's her? Is Jerry starting tonight? He's week to week. It's Ingram in again. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:35:28 Oh. And we like the over. We'll see how it goes. Ingram Pickard. That's what they're doing right now, right? Back and forth they go. This, I found this more. Now, again, it's the internet, so you're kind of trusting.
Starting point is 01:35:43 The Czech, Czechia, Czechs had their Olympic roster announced that we had wondered yesterday if Adam Klapka was going to make Slovakia or Czech. check. He's made neither one, as it turns out. This is, so I believe Madre is a guy that kind of I've seen him tweet about Klapka and the Flint. What anyways? Yeah, this is the
Starting point is 01:36:09 translation from the coach. We need players who play Pee-Pee or P-K, unfortunately, he, Klapka doesn't play either of those for the flames. He only plays five-on-five if he played short-handed with his large frame he would have been in our lineup. That's the biggest bullshit answer I've ever heard. It's a shame. You would have been useful, but it's no surprise here. Yeah, that's what Mattis saying. Jan Heda's brother. Well, and they're bringing half a team of non-NHLers, which is why it's talking point. Yeah. It's not like, hey, why didn't Joel Farber make team
Starting point is 01:36:41 candidates? Like, no, no, no. He was one of a small number of NHELors that they have. And I don't know if you saw, I think I saw the best player outside of the National Hockey League made that team again. Really? Is he still going? Chavanka. Is he playing center yet or no? Still not playing center. God damn it. And he's still saying, I don't know why they thought I was in the center.
Starting point is 01:37:04 Is Yag's going to play? Is Yag's going to play? Because you remember their teammates in Olmsk? I don't think. One more night. One more night. I think Klappka would be a great piece. I don't, yeah. It's over guys playing the Czech League.
Starting point is 01:37:17 Yeah. Kid me? Unless it's, you can't take. I'm Wilson because he's going to get you penalties mentality. But again, I listen, they're mostly going to bring NHL referees over. There's going to be very few double I. Listen to something that told you this?
Starting point is 01:37:32 Yeah, some nerdy podcast that I listened to. But I think there's just been a lot of concern about how it's going to be officiated. The NHL is well ahead of all of us. And most of their referees in this tournament are going to be NHL officials. Not all. Linesman, there's a lot more AAHF guys, but the referees are mostly in the child. They're getting paid off by the IOC. Yeah, I also saw that the, whatever it is, the double I, they're not concerned about any delays.
Starting point is 01:37:56 No, gosh, right? They are any of that stuff you're hearing. They, not concerned. Not concerned. No. It's going to be ready 10 minutes before the women's first. Yeah. Obviously it is.
Starting point is 01:38:06 It's a concern. Well, it's not late. It's not late. 95% of things you worry about. So a couple things before we end. We'll do super chats in a moment. One of the big things we talked about today, I just wanted some clarity on it. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:38:19 Flash Stevens. what was the dog? So I grabbed the, I grabbed the photo. I guess I did a poor job. Apologies to Flash. When I went in and cropped, I kind of cropped him out. It's not that we don't care about you, Flash. It's really more interested in what kind of dog you had. That's a smaller dog. That's a smaller dog.
Starting point is 01:38:38 Yeah, that's good looking pooch. That's not what we were thinking. It was still a great dog, I'm sure. We're still assuming that Flash is the human and the dog's name is not Flash. So maybe Flash is. Yeah, maybe he's good. You know what? Pike, the wrench will let us know what's cool. It's possible. It's a cat? No.
Starting point is 01:38:54 It's a very cat-looking dog. Let's see your claws. Yeah. Anybody you rip the claws out of your feet? Are you all climbing nimbly, nimbly bimble from branch to branch on a tree? Yeah. Miao. Dog's high as a kite.
Starting point is 01:39:09 He's like, hey. I've been trapped for two months. Please come save me. Yeah. Tell me more about the Flames Fourth Line. Please, God. Help me. If I blink twice, send help.
Starting point is 01:39:21 we need more on this dog flash stephen sounds like a fun name this guy's a complete dickhead um catch and stories yeah sure geez why not and we'll end today with the super chat remember i said the stay i said the ontays good big day for the super chat huge i lied to you what youth centers of calgary set to benefit the kids oh handsome dan 10 dollars one dollar For I guess one goal, so 10 bucks only. Fell! Sorry about yesterday. Sometimes 200 characters and trying to contribute results in that,
Starting point is 01:40:04 in that I aim for better. Ret, I can't take a slap shot without falling down. Any tips? That's better. It's self-depriety. Take a wrist shot. See?
Starting point is 01:40:14 I got to tell my kid that. Always wants clappers. No. Just don't do it. Yeah. Just take a wrister. Maybe pass. And handsome dad, you can't buy me off that easily.
Starting point is 01:40:26 That had nothing to do with how many characters you had. You were being an asshole. You're being a jerk. It was Blue Monday for him. Credit card bill must have. Country music. We all, hey, we all know. It probably pisses you guys up.
Starting point is 01:40:39 That's all right. You got to work a little harder to win me back. Well, maybe he has another super chat, when you back. Or maybe that's it. Are you trying to get some freebies? you cheap Oh someone like the little
Starting point is 01:40:57 West Coast No he's not doing that Hot Tubbs That's just how I feel about my country music Cobblechuck yourself Colchuk Five bucks for two years People have saying
Starting point is 01:41:07 The 2026 draft is so deep After World Juniors I didn't notice anyone Stand up miles above everyone else Is there a super star Out there I think McKenna's going to pile points.
Starting point is 01:41:23 I think Verroff's going to play big minutes. I think Stenberg's going to be good, but I don't think there's a superstar. Really? Like it's not. That's changed in a short amount of time. So you're like Kovych yourself. Yeah, I'm like,
Starting point is 01:41:37 it was like, hey, I'll just give me on the top three. You got stars. I like those top five star players. And I'm not sure of any of these guys. There are stars. I don't know that they're superstars. The more I watch. You can listen to these podcasts.
Starting point is 01:41:47 Whatever it is you're listening to. You're taking your cues from these people. I think it's consistent. considered a below average draft class, but I don't worry if the flames are picking in the top five or six. You just have to make a good pick. You just have to hit. It's so not fair and it's not easy, but you just have to find a player, wherever that number is. Because it doesn't, you know, we'd say trade everyone to get on these picks back.
Starting point is 01:42:12 Yeah, yeah. And if you waste the picks. Yeah. And feel free to collect picks in all of the next three draft classes, please. Yeah. It's like if you're in the kitchen, you're making dinner, it's like, oh, I've got, look at this. I've got this fine cut of meat and I've got all this. If you're throwing in the fucking blender.
Starting point is 01:42:28 Oh, here we're having some meat milkshakes. Oh, fuck. That's so good. Not a meat shake. That was a way goo tomahawk. He just threw it. That was a bontan meat ribby you put in there. How did you prepare this?
Starting point is 01:42:43 Oh, I put in the fry pan and just left her in there for about 25 minutes. No, for fright, no. It's a microwave. Oh, geez. So, Connie, don't take your waguay goo. top five pick, put in the microwave. I think this is going to be a lot of very, very good players here. I don't know that there's a superstar.
Starting point is 01:43:02 Kenneth's got your best chance, I think. He went two points a game of the world juniors, and everyone's shitting on him. That's how high the expectation is, and that's kind of not his fault. Jared Hunter in for five bucks. What happens first? Zane runs an NHL power play,
Starting point is 01:43:20 or Calgary fixes its water pipes. Oh, power play for sure. Oh, man, yeah, power play. I don't see those pipes being a non-issue anytime soon. The pipes. What's going on with our pipes? Freckin' Nancy. What the fuck was Nancy doing around here?
Starting point is 01:43:36 It's barely nothing. Hey. Need pipe. fella. You got some splaining to do. Who's the do the bear cat? That guy laying pipe. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:43:45 David Wilcox is brought to people's attention prior to this time. It was all fixed. Those pipes have been down there for a long. time. You know what they weren't doing? You know what? They should get Sean, the guys from Crystal Waters in the...
Starting point is 01:44:01 Seriously. All you guys just... You imagine how much digging and filling and digging and filling they're going to do with these pipes now? Martin Loop was just a road. Yeah. How's things in Calgary? Well, they don't want us to shower again.
Starting point is 01:44:16 So, you know, there's that. You can roll in the snow. What the fuck happened? Can't flood the outdoor rinks in the two months you have outdoor rinks. Calgary was cocky and swag or what do we need let's build it what do you want let's just do it get it do it got to get that back i said jeez i don't know do you need showers every day how about every jack doesn't but i mean other people do yeah i'm not sure if we do we want that yeah maybe not
Starting point is 01:44:45 fix the shit you idiots but that rink that they're building you know what our self but you've heads got a raise. That's all good. Didn't you see the idiots at City Hall? Everyone. Raise. Give her. Jack, we all need raise.
Starting point is 01:45:04 Next time there's a vote. Everybody better vote. What should we do? Move. Move? Yeah. I kind of like it here aside from, you know,
Starting point is 01:45:16 go to the shower part. We can be just on the outskirts. You have to put up with the bullshit. Beef's really good. I'm not doing. to go to the south of France. You know what it is? We're going to do our live on location for the Olympics.
Starting point is 01:45:28 And by the time we're back, everything will be great. Not a chance. You know what's good, though? You watched Martin Loop. You're telling me they're going to get a quick fix on this? Why? Because I was going to say, I don't want a quick fix.
Starting point is 01:45:38 I want it done right the first time, you're idiots. It's glass, half full of vodka. That was my take. Oh, yeah. Once they get this water pipe thing figured out, we're there. You'll never hear from it again. No.
Starting point is 01:45:49 We've learned anything. It'll be done right. That's right. We're not going to have. And it won't raise our taxes. No. See you, buddies.
Starting point is 01:45:57 We don't have anything to fix. We fixed everything. That's a bad spot to be in. Yeah. That's better lower taxes now. Jack. Yep. How's the show?
Starting point is 01:46:08 Great show. I'm starving. This Monday fast thing is, it's not easy. Did you hear this? Well, you guys were going to, you guys were going to.
Starting point is 01:46:18 Dr. Retz fast. Please consult your physician before accepting any medical advice from Dr. Redd. Jack and I are on board this week. This week. No, I'm all in, not just this week. Well, I'm just saying we started. We started Dr. Rett's fast. So we had meal Sunday night.
Starting point is 01:46:35 We were here watching the steel curtain, fluked their way into the playoffs. That's some pizza. Eight pizza. Left probably 93010, somewhere around then. Yep. There's concern. We have not eaten since. There's concern.
Starting point is 01:46:45 Well, this is legit concern. When's the game next week? Monday night. Ooh. Well, you move the fast day. That's the doctor. You can go out the fast day, so we're going to have to make a decision. Do we fast after or before?
Starting point is 01:46:59 I'm not fasting on the weekend. Yeah, that's not. Tuesday. So what isn't just, so what is involved? Is it? I've counted. It's just don't eat. 41 hours is what we're at right about in 50 minutes.
Starting point is 01:47:13 Oh, you ate late then? Well, yeah, because we had the pizza here. So is it, so let's just say it's Monday. You have your meal Sunday evening. Yes. And then when do you eat? Tuesday lunch? after the show today.
Starting point is 01:47:24 Depends on when I feel like eating today. Sometimes I don't even eat it. Jack and I are ready to eat. Yeah. I think I'm going to go to the gym first and then. Oh, I can pass out on a stairmaster. Be very careful of what you consume as your first hair. I need more on that.
Starting point is 01:47:40 What's good and what's about? It's a light meal. Start slow. Okay. So should I slam a couple, 9%? Don't get a couple double whopper cheese and. I did ask.
Starting point is 01:47:53 None of what happens on this show. I mean, Jack, can you get McLeod law on the phone, please? I mean, just don't. I mean, I guess, but probably don't would be my mess. I do it, but don't. Don't. No, don't say and do it. I've already given the disclaimer.
Starting point is 01:48:16 Dr. Ratz's medical advice, consult your own physician before doing anything. I'm not giving anyone advice. You're just following. Or followers. Yeah, you didn't tell them to do it. They've asked for help or advice. And you're, so what?
Starting point is 01:48:27 else is there in the Dr. Rett lifestyle. I had a question last night because I'd curled and the flames were on. I'm like, well, I'll just watch the rest of the period. And I asked a question to him. What do I text? He said, if I have a beer, is that? Am I still fasting? You're absolutely not
Starting point is 01:48:43 fasting. And you haven't eaten. That beer will lead to eight more because you have one in you're drunk. So is it food or calories? It's probably calories, right? It's the system. You've got to get into the ketosis. A couple of coffees, a couple teas, that's it since Sunday night.
Starting point is 01:48:59 What about diet soda, rat? No diet soda. Jack? No, Jack. I didn't have any yesterday. Okay. So then on the Tuesday through... Ever.
Starting point is 01:49:10 What? Ever diet soda. Okay. That's what I was going to... So what else is happening during the week? I typically eat a very keto carnivore-based. So last night I was in bed, I was like, okay, I'm going to... I want to get, I want to lose...
Starting point is 01:49:25 I want to get to 205. You know what? People are going to start asking you if you're sick? No. No, they're going to say, you know, we better lay it up and say, yeah, I am. Buy me a. Yeah. Do you have a good flour shop? Because we might be having to send some poor shoveler.
Starting point is 01:49:40 I told Colin Patterson called me finally that I have a thing. Okay. Is you all right? I got a DNR as well. Okay, good. That puts both of us at ease. Alberta beef, delicious. Would you say you're staying away from carbs?
Starting point is 01:49:55 Do you? Yeah, don't eat carbs. Protein. Okay. And that's carnival. Carbs, sugars. Sugar's should be as more sugars than carbs, probably, right?
Starting point is 01:50:09 What? Limit, like eliminate sugars more than carbs. Yeah. Sugar is not good for you. Do we get a cheat day? No, cheat day. It's just a fast. It's a lifestyle choice, Jack.
Starting point is 01:50:21 You see, the rock on Sundays, he has all those pancakes and waffles. He has a chit day. Oh, yeah. Every Sunday. Go ahead. I don't give a shit. I'm not giving a shit.
Starting point is 01:50:29 That's the thing. It's not whether you should. It's because he doesn't give a shit. I don't know what you do, right. I don't eat on Mondays. That's the basis. And then I just eat whatever. Then I try to eat.
Starting point is 01:50:38 You make wise smart choices. Try to eat right. And I don't eat in the morning. So there's lots of days where I won't eat till four. But what happens if somehow, some way you end up in Buffalo or at mugshots? I don't beat myself up over it because I don't. Troy 90 wings.
Starting point is 01:50:56 I didn't. have the cleanest of holiday break. A lot of people trying to What about the, because like you said, so I can't do it on a Monday. Can you just slide the day? Yes. It's letting your system catch up. Last night, I'm like, I'm going to do two a days until I get under the
Starting point is 01:51:16 two of a field. I want to see south of two old five. So you're going to be. Two days. You're in training camp. Back to back. Two a week. Sorry, two a week.
Starting point is 01:51:21 Two a week. I was sick. Mondays and Thursdays. Now again, this might. This might lead you right to the grave. This might be the most unhealthy thing possible. We could be telling you to snort heroin.
Starting point is 01:51:33 I don't, so don't do it. But don't snort heroin and probably don't do this. But that's just us covering our ass. You look great. It'll be an open casket funeral. You look awesome. And the summer, I'm going. And noodle says, so is this an ozempic or something, right?
Starting point is 01:51:53 Is that a pill or how do you? That's an adjustment as well. up your ass or how does that go? You can do that as well. You won't be as hungry if you do that one. Uh-oh. You got another shipper? Yeah, we got one more.
Starting point is 01:52:08 We got one more here. I'll hit the thing, I suppose. Calgary's water pipes hold up like the paper straws. You get in restaurants. Shove those straws. Just don't bother. Talk about a waste of. That was a dumb idea.
Starting point is 01:52:22 Paper straw. If you're going to replace the straw, the thing that is going to replace it actually has to work as a straw. Yeah, don't, okay, no straw. No, no, no. What we'll do is create this different kind of waste, and it's a really, really shitty straw that makes you angry and wants to punch someone.
Starting point is 01:52:39 I don't know how I feel about it. I still, I really do like a straw. I do too. This is not a straw. You know what you need to do. You got to carry your own. Oh, yeah, the metal straws with a glass. You have a little holster, like people used to have with pages on their belts.
Starting point is 01:52:53 Yeah. Just have them at, hey, you guys want a straw? You have just, you have your own. It's like a pack of gum. You need a straw? Yeah, I got some. Why can't restaurants have that? Throw the fingers in the wash.
Starting point is 01:53:07 I like that. They steal straw. Yeah, we're drinking out of cups that get washed all the time. Somebody else was drank out of this cup at some point. And now without the straw, I got to put my mouth on it. They can't wash it now because we've got no water. And Jack's stupid buddies keep stealing all the metal straws.
Starting point is 01:53:22 That'd never work. Lucas. You're dumb buddies. Dumb. Well, is tomorrow on game day again? Oh, yeah, jump a Lehab. Layhab.
Starting point is 01:53:34 Early, 5.30. Get it going, boys. Yeah, we got noodler. Everyone should buy some hot dogs and have the hot dogs. So, Montreal smoked meat. Shancho? Oh, smoke meat. Look these guys.
Starting point is 01:53:46 They're so hungry. I know, they're so hungry. You know what you do? You really torture yourself on a Monday night, too. You start watching cooking shows and some... Test your willpower. I love food so much. Because I feel like I want to do.
Starting point is 01:54:03 join you guys, some solidarity. And God knows, I got a couple LBs. I could probably draw. I know from looking at me, you're probably thinking, what do you talk, Bupo? But I could probably. No, Dean, stop it. You're being too hard on yourself. God, I just, because I think about it sometimes.
Starting point is 01:54:21 I don't know how. I don't want you to do it because you will be. Honestly, but here's the other thing. You make the meals. How do you cook for everybody else and then don't eat? I do. my wife came over to ask you. See this new loaf of bread?
Starting point is 01:54:37 Apparently there's 12 grams. I'm like, get the bread away. I can't look at food right. Get out here. Yeah, that would be tough in your house. All the delicious food that comes in trying to. Oh,
Starting point is 01:54:45 we had a birthday last night. We had grandma's cooking, fried chicken and mashed potatoes and Paul Newman cake. Are you got to eat? Monday. Got like flat crisp pizza. It's beautiful bolognese sauce.
Starting point is 01:54:58 Is there part of that that comes, you come off as? I don't like having that guy. like it's like what people's like oh vegan do you have any of it's like all we just have you can't do it with rat because oh redd doesn't eat no eat i'm not upset by it it's a choice i make if i want to be a fall down drunk guess what you didn't decide that that's my decision dean not yours yeah there's no talk about that this fasting is going to cut my drinking down to six days a week because didn't you talk about that as well
Starting point is 01:55:32 there was going to be a dry he's getting older he's asking different questions than he's I know you pull your groin and your foot starts cramping and you're like god damn it like it is the it like we don't need to talk about it here damn it getting old but it you sit and I just spend hours of my day thinking yeah they were right about all that yeah oh that's yeah that's boy that does why you're doing so much that's that's not that's harder now for sure yeah Okay, yeah. It's going to play hockey today and I tweaked it again. Getting into my car.
Starting point is 01:56:05 What? Like very slight, but I'm just like, it just needs rest. We need to, I really want to play hockey today. I really do. Remember we used to do F I'm old and Ryan would take part just kind of being a good sport.
Starting point is 01:56:14 Trying to try to try to try to do. We could really bring it back now. Oh, the whole show is FI'm old. It wouldn't be a second. Just turn it on the beginning. I'm happy. Two hours a day.
Starting point is 01:56:25 So Mondays? Yeah, Mondays today. Or is, or just a day a week? Monday works for me now. I do Mondays. Because I do wonder if there's a day that's better.
Starting point is 01:56:35 Maybe a Wednesday. Why? Just it's the best day. It might be, yeah, everybody. Just what your, what your week. Well, everybody's different. Your kids schedule or whatever.
Starting point is 01:56:46 How you differentiate Monday or Sunday or whatever. Probably you should pick Saturday. Because most likely that you're going to eat the shittiest on Saturday. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But Sunday, you get all that NFL football.
Starting point is 01:56:59 You want to get the dips going on. Super Bowl. This kind of needs to be like that Seinfeld episode too where we should have money. Some accountability. You have a contest. You last on the table. Yeah. Because I don't trust Jack.
Starting point is 01:57:10 Are you the master of your own domain, Jack? I think I'll be fine. He doesn't know. How many Diet Coke can I have? Yeah, that's the. None. What do you have for an enjoyable beverage that isn't like just, do you have just water? Do you have like?
Starting point is 01:57:28 I don't usually drink anything or joy. unless I'm getting pissed. Past. I don't. I usually drink water. Now, it was December. A lot of the BC. And the eggnog was out.
Starting point is 01:57:45 Yeah, man. A lot of the BC. So December, heavy eggnog consumption. There's any shortages. That's probably. But there is a box of chocolates sitting right there on the big island. haven't touched them, haven't opened them, don't look at them. Not a concern.
Starting point is 01:58:05 You could sit there till the end of time. That's the hard part for me. I just had to throw everything away. Like you say, it's... Yeah, I just threw it away. It's about ketosis. So it's not like, oh, I'll just have... Well, no, you can lie to yourself, but
Starting point is 01:58:18 the science behind getting into ketosis, if you do that, then you've just fasted for nothing. Kyoto's coyotes? You could also just cheat, go buy those drinks. I don't think it's the same. It's not even so much, like, well, what drinks? What are you talking about? We're going to buy ketone drinks.
Starting point is 01:58:39 They put you into ketosis. What is that? Oh, boy, it's so complicated. We're not doctors. That's why we're here with Dr. Ray. He's telling us. Preach it. It's when your body starts eating itself for energy.
Starting point is 01:58:53 Your body allows itself to heal. Isn't that what happens when you fast? That's what we're talking about. It's kind of what all this. So, yeah, it's the. fasting and then it's the by not taking the sugar and the carbs right the body for fuel it's like oh look at this it's all kinds of stored fat hanging around here you know who lives really long times which maybe isn't always a benefit john cornish people that don't eat a whole bunch
Starting point is 01:59:18 there's a lot of those wiry looking pricks walking around martin loop i don't know if you've seen that what was that uh it was a movie but it was a book first and was based on the reality or real about to World War II. They were in a plane. They got shot down over the ocean. They ended up in the POW W camps in Japan and they floated right in the... Happy Gilmore? Yeah. Billy Madison. Unbroken. Unbroken. Unbroken. Those guys didn't eat and they lived forever.
Starting point is 01:59:45 I'll rent that. Spartacus? Unbroken. Do you want to live forever? Secretary. I think somebody's... The news is a... Didn't you say in five years we'll all be able to live forever? There's going to be, there's someone living right now that'll be 200 for sure. Right now. Easy. They're just not telling us? Except if AI comes around, F's everything up.
Starting point is 02:00:07 To our robot overlords. It's a benevolent robot overlords take us. I'm getting a lot of, a lot of heavy yin and yang on this. His algorithm is just wild. There's so much good. There's not a lot of guardrails. Yeah. And to all those idiots like us that are parents that'll just allow their children to have a phone
Starting point is 02:00:27 at the age of five. Don't do it. Bad idea. It's not. Oh, but they've got to communicate. No, they're not communicating. My kid freaked out the other day. Oh.
Starting point is 02:00:38 Because I guess it was the start of the year, an apple, for whatever reason, put new. If you have someone and if you have your family set up, but you have kids. A plan. They put new guard rails, like you say. My daughter's like, where's mom? Well, she's at work. What's, like, oh, yeah, oh, she was just aghast. Like, all my, my, my, my music is gone.
Starting point is 02:01:05 All of my music, like, can you tell her to take off the settings, these parental settings? Like, I've curated these playlists. And all my songs are gone. Like, what, what did you guys do? She doesn't hear, I don't know what you're talking. What, what? Well, I think I got an email about Apple. So I look, it's like, yeah, so January 1st, there's, you could easily turn them off this way,
Starting point is 02:01:26 but they put new safety. Oh, my songs are gone. I curated these. I'm like, well, why are they gone? Is there a lot of F bombs and stuff in that? Maybe. Dad! Talk to your mom when she gets home.
Starting point is 02:01:42 I'm not doing nothing. Rett's dad. Rat's dad. Wow, that really extended things. Well, Dean knows we're hungry, so this is what he does. The greats make it look easy. Well, no, I mean, shit. I didn't know.
Starting point is 02:01:59 No, I brought it up. It's my fault. You guys are all doing it. You're in, eh? Well, Mondays, let's cool. Just try next week. Are Mondays the, yeah, I just. Or the week after because the Steelers play Monday.
Starting point is 02:02:09 There'll be no morning and I. Yeah, how are we not doing Monday? How are we? Maybe we do Tuesday next. You've allowed us that kind of flexibility. That's the kind of guy you are. You're not a tyrant. You have another super chat.
Starting point is 02:02:20 Stickler. Oh, my God. Well, dude. Me, you knew it was going to be a big day for the kids. Yep, big day for the kids. Rett. If hockey didn't work out, what do you think you'd have done for a career? Have you seen that Ryan Wedding?
Starting point is 02:02:37 Ryan, Ryan Ginger? I've seen. Oh, Ryan Wedding. No. Pro snowboarder. Adel to a drug king. Oh. Didn't know that.
Starting point is 02:02:49 Smuggler. I love to mule. Smuggler. He's going to say right up your, you're constantly firing things in there. It may as well be for some financial gain. What do you do? Not this. well no you wouldn't you wouldn't have done this because you'd have had no
Starting point is 02:03:04 mediocre profiler oh like we didn't play in the league I know he's on the show I'm a talented and experienced broadcaster that's what's let me I went to broadcast in school no you wouldn't have no you would not have you'd be running some John no you know what you'd be in some warehouse because of your dumb long arms you'd be putting stuff on the top shelf in the back.
Starting point is 02:03:32 Always lost. No, I wouldn't. Where's Brett? Is Brett here? We got to get those bags of flour off the top. I worked in a warehouse. That's not for you. And I had to count parts and I'd lose track.
Starting point is 02:03:44 It was no good. We used to own farmland. Maybe that or I like being with people. Are cops? It was kind of one of those people. I don't know. This is complete. This is complete stray bullets that this guy's about.
Starting point is 02:03:59 what to take. Fire away. No. We always said the same thing about Boeaster. If he wasn't blessed, like with the top percentile of skating and the building. Right? He's working
Starting point is 02:04:13 at an auto parts dealer and happy to do it. He was just such a down-to-earth, like just, hey, what's going on? It's been the specs on these new shocks. They're phenomenal. I give you one of those things like, hey, there's a dealership in town that would like to get you to be, no, I got my 87 pickup.
Starting point is 02:04:28 I'm good. I'm trying them down. Somebody else could have that. I'm probably fine. He was just, he was one of those guys that was blessed with, like one of the best skaters of his generation. Dude,
Starting point is 02:04:39 ever. And his size? What is he? Six, five, six, six, just gliding. Four days was never talking.
Starting point is 02:04:45 You never saw him. Never sweats. Never sweating. Didn't something happen to him, though? Yeah, yeah, the heart issue.
Starting point is 02:04:50 That was the year they won the cup, I believe. And he wasn't playing. St. Louis? Yeah. Yeah. When, it's crazy.
Starting point is 02:04:58 Don't want to be called the Pinner confident mixed shit up, but I believe that was the year. Oh, it could have been. Yeah, but he had that episode on the bench. I don't think he played again. I don't believe he did. And then Reg said he goes hiking with him and he just can't keep up. Yeah. Reg can't?
Starting point is 02:05:11 Yeah, I believe that. That's Jay. Yeah. I remember it was George Richards who works in Florida. I was working for the Herald at the time. He's like, it's like the guy's wearing a scuba tank. You're like, how have you played 40 minutes? And you don't your hair is dry, you're not out of breath,
Starting point is 02:05:28 your face isn't flush. It's like he could skate for days and never need to stop. But he was one of those to me. It's like, so what do you think Jay, Jay Bo would be doing? So he won the cup in 19 with the blues for sure. Whether he was healthy or not, I'm going to figure out. In-game cardiac arrest retirement, in 2020, the year later, he suffered the issue against Anaheim in Anaheim.
Starting point is 02:05:56 When it's cardiac arrest collapsed on the bench during a TV timeout, they had an ICD to the defibrillator. Yeah. Yeah. To facilitate him. Get him back to normal rhythm. I think the official year after his retirement year later. There you go. Thank God that shit doesn't happen.
Starting point is 02:06:12 But you got the cup. Yeah. And you're alive. Yes. And alive. Oh, yeah, healthy. That's hard too. So all the other parts you want.
Starting point is 02:06:22 Yeah. All right. What do you think Jack would be doing if he wasn't blessed with his God-given ability? this we're going to help him out look at him so what do you need to help me with Jack do you have the
Starting point is 02:06:38 How's the book? How hard is it for you And I'm putting it on the spot To grab that clip that you made yesterday Oh, I have it Because we need to see it Clip We got another super chat
Starting point is 02:06:47 You want to put it Okay, we'll do the super chat And then We've got to go Good God It's Dean It's not honest We're just having conversation
Starting point is 02:06:54 You know, it's nice to kind of talk to you guys Rapping the show Mention fasting 25 minutes later, we're still going. M. Foster. 699. Does Ryan have soft hands, kombucha drinker?
Starting point is 02:07:04 Gross. Look at these. No, look soft. No. I'm not touching them. Scaly and falling apart. Talented hockey player, though, I must say. No, you get out against. Oh, you got, you know what?
Starting point is 02:07:16 God's weird. I mean, you can scare the least modest guy, no. But when it comes to hockey, you kind of throw the brakes on. I never played at any level. It was any good. That's probably a good reason to be modest about it.
Starting point is 02:07:29 But if you go, if guys, ah, pender's going to come out and play. Oh, fuck, Pender's a good player. I could skate. I haven't seen it. Cabuchel, though? No, my wife's into that, though, for sure. What is, that's like, it's like a fermented drink.
Starting point is 02:07:41 I don't mind it. It's alive, right? Like, it's doing things. It's got yeast. Cultures that are active, I think. It's cool. It's supposed to be good for your bio dome there thing. Is it?
Starting point is 02:07:51 My biodome needs some. Was that the, uh, a polysure movie? Yeah, Biodome. You know what? A lot of movies. A true gift.
Starting point is 02:08:05 A comedic gift. Like his mother, Mitzie Shore, owned the Comedy Store in L.A. That's a little star. She was the legendary owner of the Comedy Store. So we had a live, and we're planning, I guess, on doing it again Monday night because the Steelers are playing. Everybody else's teams are playing at other times.
Starting point is 02:08:24 We're not doing streams for those games. No, because some reason now it's a Jack thing. It's the jackometer. It's always been about the jack. For years now, Jack's been a part of the team, and he loves the Steelers. The Steelers are great. They're the worst. Hire him, fire him, all this.
Starting point is 02:08:37 By the moon. I live and die with this team. I'm never cheering for this team again. The roller coaster rides have been epic. That's. And Sunday, we win and get in, lose and go home. Let's go and experience it with Jack, because we'd never done that. Need the jackometer.
Starting point is 02:08:53 So we did the live stream, and we happened to be gifted. with one of the best possible examples of the roller coaster that we could have gotten. Jack put together a little super clip here, a little edit of our stream from Sunday night. Get up! Get him! Out this scatling bottom of the screen.
Starting point is 02:09:24 It's a team. Kenny G. All shot, guy. Third and one. She. To end in reaction. No. No, no.
Starting point is 02:09:35 No. No. No. No. Again. Oh, was that. There's a lot.
Starting point is 02:09:37 There's got to be a flag. There's a flag. There's a flag on the far side of the field. This flag is huge. Oh. They're still celebrating. This could be a Pittsburgh flag. How did it happen again?
Starting point is 02:10:01 Happened again. Here's a call on Pittsburgh, as we thought. I wonder if those timeouts on that. No, gosh, no. I feel. Oh. He's not. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 02:10:16 The extra point from Boswell. Oh, Twisting. No good. No good. She's the point. Oh, no. She hit down.
Starting point is 02:10:37 It's fourth and seven. Season on the line. Jackson. Oh, what a catch. What a catch. What a catch, Isaiah likely. Likely.
Starting point is 02:10:48 He's going to go. That is unbelievable. Wow. Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow. What's terrible. It could never be that good again. It's going to be tough. Like, you won and lost two to three times in the last four minutes of that game.
Starting point is 02:11:38 It was such an incredible game. And yes, I tore my calf muscle. Ryan's standing up cheering against. against you. Even Brett's doing. We were all, almost all of us were Steeler fans there for one night. You probably don't want any of those timeouts.
Starting point is 02:11:58 Yeah, that first clip is my favorite that Zay touched out because it's just like Lamar almost gets sacked. I'm like cheering. And then I'm like, oh no. And he throws the ball up and then Ryan just jumps up and celebrates. I'm just,
Starting point is 02:12:12 I think I went and laid down. And then he was in the corner. lying down. And then shifted as, as Finder, hey, see, that's what you want.
Starting point is 02:12:18 I'm going to take some stuff. I was like, oh, geez, I was maybe a parlay, Dean. I'm cheering for you.
Starting point is 02:12:23 I was maybe a little aggressive by celebrating there. This is the whole jackometer experience. We saw zero to 10. We got every number on the bloody scale on Sunday night.
Starting point is 02:12:34 What? Again, how many, anyway, I'm not dragging it down. Just the missed extra point is to only be met by another missed kick.
Starting point is 02:12:43 Never mind the, the conversions, the drives, like the last four minutes, that game was unbelievable. Last quarter. And the flowers touchdowns? One thing if he makes a play, he's wide open from about the 50. How are you that wide open in the fourth? They're protecting a lead. Hey, boys, it's really tightened up here.
Starting point is 02:13:01 Holy. That's why I thought the flag was on the Ravens. I'm like, how does he this open? They kept celebrating. You're like, is this on the defense? And at one point there, about three plays. from the end, you can see Jack just puts his microphone down. He's done.
Starting point is 02:13:18 He can't talk. I just had to do anything. Red did the same thing after Canada, I was trying to figure out which one had you laying on the floor because you did go fetal. Yes. It was the Jackson spinning out of the sack. It was in the corner there by the liquor cabinet just on the carpet. But we said it that night, they were down 10 nothing?
Starting point is 02:13:37 Yep. Yeah. Until big boy showed up. The Red showed up. When it was 10 nothing, I thought of it. I thought about not coming. Yeah. So I'm like,
Starting point is 02:13:45 well, this is not good. Luckily, it could be no fun at all. Luckily, we ordered wings and he showed up. Yeah. Next Monday.
Starting point is 02:13:51 Monday night. Texans, Steelers. There's a path, Jack. Now, you're going to be mad if I show up
Starting point is 02:13:57 and I cheer for the, no, Houston's. We would expect nothing else. Yeah. At this point, but, uh,
Starting point is 02:14:03 let's see what I can do. Yeah. There you go. Can't cancel the curling ride. I can, I got to find a spare. This is that next week. Tomorrow on the show, noodles.
Starting point is 02:14:14 Flames game day and Montreal. Montreal. So, I mean, I've never, you know what? I've never been, I was there for the draft. I've never been to a game. I haven't either. Well, we'll talk about it tomorrow. Yeah, that feels like you.
Starting point is 02:14:30 Guys want to get out of here. All right. I'm not dragging it. The game day tomorrow? Yeah, Montreal. What do you think about the red line? All right. See, buddies.
