We'll figure it out. Ready? I'm Jack Howe, and I write a column called Streetwise for Barron's Magazine, which I think of as focusing on the intersection of Wall Street and squirrel jokes. Over the past year, I've written a guide to pretending to understand Brexit. I presented a detailed analysis of whether Skechers' sneakers are cool. And here and there, I mixed in some valuation math or details from conversations with the chiefs of companies like Disney and CVS. So we had this plan to turn Streetwise into a podcast, and I'm not going to tell you I ran out and bought a whoopee cushion

for it, but I'm not going to say I didn't do that either. Suddenly, the world has changed, however. A coronavirus pandemic is taking lives. It's collapsing economic activity and roiling financial markets. People are hurting and they're scared.
