Starting point is 00:00:00 Okay, bean town unplugged. Take one of one. Here we go. Apologies in advance. Cover your ears. It's gonna be I'm not a bad guy. I'm not a bad guy, I'm not a bad guy. I'm not a bad guy, I'm not a bad guy. I'm not a bad guy, I'm not a bad guy. I'm not a bad guy, I'm fine with talking, my boys, maybe, then you're dead and listen. You play dead, but you never bet, and stand your name still in the grass, all gone up in here sin No, I know all about those men
Starting point is 00:01:13 Still I don't remember Because it was a spainly way before them And we're still together. And I'm then, every what I said, When I said that I longed you, I'm then, that I longed forever. And I'm gonna keep on loving you Cause it's the only thing I wanna do
Starting point is 00:01:50 I don't wanna sleep, I just wanna keep on loving you Take it away Matthew. Sounds real nice. Because it's the only thing I wanna do I don't wanna sleep, I just wanna keep on loving you Yeah, baby, I'm gonna keep on loving you Because it's the only thing I wanna do I don't wanna sleep, I just wanna keep on loving you Sound real nice. It's like we're still in high school playing.
Starting point is 00:03:31 I forgot there was a middle part in there, that quenin quote guitar. Guitar so well I couldn't really hear you but I bet it sounded great. Yeah well that's better for everybody. It wasn't as good as when I made the inexplicable choice to sing, it's a wonderful, what a wonderful world for high school graduation. No, that was probably the bus guitar solo I've ever had. Is there a video of that?
Starting point is 00:03:56 You probably had it and you burned it or something. Matthew, you're a unitorious for taking all your great music and burning it like Cortez and his ships when he got to Mexico. What's going on with that? Where are the fans? We want to see your music. Where can we listen to you?
Starting point is 00:04:13 I don't think you want to. I don't, so I've scoured the internet and I've pulled back some of my stuff. So you know how sometimes and you probably haven't gone through this, but you do something and you think it's really great right after you do it because you spend so much time or whatever and then like a year goes by and you listen to it and you're like, what the hell is that
Starting point is 00:04:34 kind of process? Every day in my life. Yeah. That's kind of how I went through it. Anything that I've put on wine regarding music, even like old videos that I've yanked a few of those just because I don't want my someday, you know, I don't know, grand nieces, grand nephews, to be like, oh wow, that's really embarrassing, you know. I don't know, when you post that stuff online it gets thousands and thousands of views and retweets and all that stuff.
Starting point is 00:05:08 I'm not too active on the Twitter. I'm gonna be honest. I like when you post stuff on Facebook and it also goes to your Twitter. I just did that because it's like I saw about six different things pop up on my Twitter feed today and I liked all of them. I retweeted one. I don't even know. I don't even know that you liked them. Matthew, what's your... Matthew, what's your... I don't know. It's all a heart button to me. Where can we find you on Twitter, Matthew?
Starting point is 00:05:32 We want to see more of you. I think it's just my name. I don't even know. I have it online. I still have an active account. Yeah, you do. I haven't been on there all day. You get out by the grimace on quince face of the coffee. It wasn't great. Well, portions of
Starting point is 00:05:49 Alcoholic content to it normal. Here's the thing I Don't think it was bad The way I feel is that I'm not used to having alcohol in my coffee You're in my use to having coffee at 10 o'clock at night So there are just a lot of factors that went into it. Also, a lot of firsts, dealing with a pretty vicious sore throat tonight, waited three weeks to pop up. So, you know, if we don't win a Grammy off of this, I think we can blame that. We can do some Mollie Vanilli action. What was that? Will you Vanilli? Vanilli Van action. What was that? Will you Vanille?
Starting point is 00:06:25 Vanille? What's that? What's the group? You're thinking of Lily Tomlin. No, no, what's the group? They lip sync. The Wiggles? No. To the Wiggles lips lip sync. I'm going to do a deep dive on them. All right. You're just going to have to. And it got revoked. Oh, that's too bad. Is it like, voice to mind or something? I swear it's Lily Vanilla and I say, really. Well, that's just not a name I'm familiar with. If you're just joining us, Quinn David Furnace, Matthew Feather, come to you live with the bean town on Pug Special.
Starting point is 00:06:58 I look at Lily Vanilla and porn videos as far as I can talk to. Don't say Lily Vanilla. PSA for those of you out there under 18, Lily Vanilla is not the name of the artists who had their Grammy revoked but we will continue to do the research on that for you. You need to really, you need to invest a little bit more in your recent. Millie Vanilla. Millie with an M. Not Millie Vanilla. One letter can make all the difference.
Starting point is 00:07:28 And they're right next to each other on the keyboard too. Okay, bean tonne, a plugged session number five concert series live on Facebook. Thanks everyone for tuning in. It can see that you're leaving comments. It's too far away though, we're not wearing our glasses. So we're not sure what you're saying, but this is blowing up, so assuming we're viral right now, that's awesome, that's really cool to hear.
Starting point is 00:07:51 Quins, myro, because he's kind of, oh that's, I don't know, what do you call it, you have a virus? A viral infection, I think, something that goes wild in your neuro system, your lymph nodes and stuff like that. I think there's going to be a lot more talking to be taught. Matthew's got, Matthew's got his
Starting point is 00:08:11 specialty song that that he's gonna prepare for us. I'll be there for the rhythmic guitar and for, um, pretty much all the music. And for the backing vocals, but we're going to, uh we're going to jump in. Again, these are all covers where although Matthew has his fair share of slamming originals, maybe for an on-core performance, I don't know. We haven't prepared anything yet, but let's get tuned up here. And I think we'll get started pretty shortly. I don't know if I should move my girlfriend.
Starting point is 00:08:47 But I don't think that it really makes too much of a difference. I'm probably not saying either way. What's wrong with your diaphragm? I'm surprised. Look at that. This couch just accepts you. Yeah, that's not going to be good. Wait till you get to the bond, Joby.
Starting point is 00:09:00 Okay, if any of you are out there and you're thinking, when is the music actually going gonna get good right now? No. It's gonna be great. Matthew's taking the lead on this one, but if you're really looking for that big set piece, like you go to an action movie and you're really waiting for the big one, come in about two hours.
Starting point is 00:09:18 And we're gonna really belt it out for you. I don't know how long we're in a banter for. Are you more... I could be K-po or Don. Yeah, that could be nasty without a K-po. Although all we're doing is making it higher on our voices. So I have a cough trap over there. I'll get to that after this song. Are you...
Starting point is 00:09:43 How do you feel about the lyrics on this song? I have it up here and I have it up here. Double time, excellent. I can't like it both of this. All right, this is song number two of four. We will keep you to four unless we get divine inspiration. Maybe we could play him or something, him and hers. Okay, take number two, thank you.
Starting point is 00:10:10 You ready? Oh yeah, but you see what I have to deal with. No, okay. So I was probably ready. Hold on. You know, this is live air. I know it is. All right. Go ahead. Fans are clamoring. Yeah, I know, but I'm not gonna start if you're not ready I can't wait to fall I will be your step I will miss my life I'm falling. How could anybody lie? When you're here with love, you feel so much lies on that shoe. I'm here to you, I could never go without you. I want you I want you to touch me I can't be easy
Starting point is 00:12:10 I'm a strong You are the one who wants to find You are the one who tries to marry me Just be out of my mind I can hear go without you That's better isn't it? No. He sounded amazing. I get performance things I think that I did. Yeah, this is the biggest stage you've had. Biggest stage I've had.
Starting point is 00:13:54 In days. Yeah. Oh. And to be honest, before today, actually, that's not. This isn't entirely true, but I had not played the guitar for like maybe two months. And then I quit and mentioned, um, why did you do this by a Joby song? And first of all, I had to listen to it. See, yeah, I'm like, I'm, I'm, I'm probably, that probably won't stick.
Starting point is 00:14:17 It's dark. Oh, yeah. No, that was the whole reason I wanted to do this. Cause I've been singing that song in the shower for days and months. I'm beautiful thank you. Sorry for my decision. Yeah, that was a song by Coldplay. I want to remind YouTube and the internet that we don't own any of these songs. We didn't write them. We own the butchering of them, but in terms of actual content, we can't take the credits, unfortunately. We started off with a little aario speed wagon and we came at you live with some cold play. Are you lying, though, that's always saying
Starting point is 00:15:00 because if it likely didn't record. Yeah, just in case you weren't sure. And now we've got a song that I just kind of pulled out of my hat this afternoon. We weren't exactly sure what we wanted to do. Third in the relay here. And I mentioned a song and Matthew told me he'd never heard of it. And lo and behold, he hadn't. But thankfully, it's a really thankfully it's a really it's a really simple song. It's only got about three chords and when I say when I say about I mean exactly three chords and we're just gonna do a little bit of jam
Starting point is 00:15:34 in here. So thanks again to all the fans, all the followers. Thank you for joining us on Facebook Live, live concert here Saturday night. Appreciate it We're gonna need some time to recover Between all the strumming of this one and then the the big fireworks finish at the end Matthew's been looking forward to it all Okay, so just as a teaser Good to be that right. Yeah, I love Teased this song that could show us it's not it's not it's a good song you know a bunch of
Starting point is 00:16:08 he's pretty amazing and he has better hair than any of us will ever have let's be honest right and his fingers however there's parts that are so high for me for all of us I'm not even wearing my tight pants tight underwear I don't know if I'm ready for this. Matthew's been Matthew's been complaining about having to hit the high notes all day and turns out I have to hit the highest note of all in the song. So I don't know where all that frustration is coming from but I Lost my lyrics here to the song which would not be good. For the one we're about to do. Yeah. I might be the one I don't. I'm not going to really be singing along.
Starting point is 00:16:52 Yeah this one's... Matthew's got some good guitar solo action going on this one though so. It has got to be written. That's what makes it so special. Okay. I think we're just gonna go do it and we're gonna do maybe two verses, maybe three. Thanks again for joining us, coming to you live and we'll make sure the audio is still going strong and Matthew remember the three chords you got to play for this one?
Starting point is 00:17:29 Yeah, but I don't know the order. Is it? Alright. Okay, I'm picking D7, D7, A7, G7. This guy, he got, he gets it. Okay. You want that A chord that I played earlier? No, not. We, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that,
Starting point is 00:18:00 that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that Matthew and I were rehearsing this afternoon and started to turn into still feel like your man by John Maier. Cause I still feel like your man. Still feel like your man. I kind of, should've done a BG song. Yeah, maybe.
Starting point is 00:18:18 Jive talking. I'm talking to nod. I'll point at you. I'll give you a nice point. Turn and point. Okay. The lyrics are new for everyone on this one. So this is a little CCR action. Good old American band pun intended.
Starting point is 00:18:58 Let's go ahead and we'll jump right on in. Okay. I see the same old thing, ain't no food upon the table, But you better not complain, boy. Union trauma with a man. Let the midnight specials I'm not special, you're not allowed to need Let the midnight special shine on me Let the midnight special shine on me Let the midnight special shine and night and night on me The owner came in strozy, how the world you know
Starting point is 00:20:36 Now the way she was her 8 grand and the clothes she wore. I'm around a shoulder, piece of paper in her hand. She come to see the gun. She wants a free arm man. Let the midnight special shine on me Let them in I special Shining out of me Let them in I special Shining out of me Let them in I special Shining out of me All if you're ever used to Oh, shine a light on me Oh, if you're ever used to You're better to ride You're better than I can both
Starting point is 00:21:35 Oh, you're better not find Oh, the shine if you're better than you And the balls bring you down Next thing you know, boy, you're prison bound Let them in that special shot a lot of me Let them in that special shine a lot of me Let the midnight special shine a lot of me Let the midnight special shine a lot of me What a Matthew! I'm going to be a little bit more careful.
Starting point is 00:22:47 I'm going to be a little bit more careful. I'm going to be a little bit more careful. I'm going to be a little bit more careful. One more. Wow, I stomach is starting to hurt because of all those high notes I was trying to hit. One thing they don't tell you when you sing that song is that I'm not really able to sing it very well That's something you got to watch out for Yeah, well if if you thought that was bad you got I Think I think green eyes was by far our best and that's because I was singing I think I think green eyes was by far our best and that's because I was singing the least amount of time
Starting point is 00:24:26 Oh boy There's a very there's a huge disconnect with I can't walk out to ask I think that's what it is I can either play the guitar somewhat half okay or sing somewhat half okay I't do both. I gotta go to the bathroom again. Oh, he can't leave me. Not in the middle of a show. I've had to go to the bathroom literally probably six or seven times in the past 10 hours
Starting point is 00:24:56 that I've been here. Quinn just told me that he's off his birth control. So we're very, I'm concerned. Mercy. Hi. What a day. Thank you. Well, if I make that reference, people know that if you have to go back to them that you could be pregnant. That's probably just the ladies in the room would know that.
Starting point is 00:25:16 And there's not. Well, on the Facebook live stream, there's probably thousands and thousands of fans. There's two comments obviously. Well, they've been rolling in the whole time. They just keep refreshing in the bottom. Yeah, neither of us part our glasses down here. So thank you to the fans. Facebook, we have one other song for you. It's gonna be tight. Matthew, you're gonna want to move your microphone closer. I can just say that right now. Inch it a little bit. This song hinges upon your killer backup vocals.
Starting point is 00:25:48 You got to do it for Richie San Boris. So you're not moving it close, you're just rotating it around. I'm working on it. Do you have any coffee left? Not much. Okay, you're probably going to want to finish that before we go because you're gonna need all the energy you can get For those of you who are wondering about two or shirts. Yes, they've shipped Matthew's just arrived today 20 seconds, so if you do live out on the the West Coast That's why I live on the East Coast and mine hasn't arrived yet either. So they'll be there.
Starting point is 00:26:29 And then if they're not there in the next two months, reach out to me, let me know. And we'll get it figured out. But I don't know. I think that kind of just, all right. Please. There's a little pun for you. The shirts are pretty comfortable.
Starting point is 00:26:41 It smells pretty good when it comes to. It's not like I like fru-fruity smell. It's very, it's uh I don't know, doesn't stink. It smells, it doesn't smell like me, yeah. So it's a nice, soft cotton. I think it's 100%. That'd be good. I hope you order the size maybe or maybe they'll just be encouragement to like work out a little bit more. That's what mine will be. Yeah. Yeah. I've got my laundry upstairs and it's sunk pretty badly. So we're getting that washed three weeks of about three outfits. That'll do it for you. Anything else you want to you want to plug before we move into the last one here? I don't know. I really don't have anything.
Starting point is 00:27:25 I'm going to chew on my cough drop otherwise. I'm going to need the full range of my voice. No, but when you, with these ones, they got like the plasma inside. That's a lot. Yeah, you never had these ones. When you bite into them, it releases a burst of like, femurones or something.
Starting point is 00:27:42 Yeah. Wait, what, why did you sure femurones or something? Yeah. Wait, what would you say? Femurones. Ask Starleens, you would know about it. I think it's fair bones. Well, it's so with the Greek letters, the ours and the ends look a lot alike. I don't really agree. Yeah, it's all great to meet Joe.
Starting point is 00:28:08 All right. So the big ticket item. Boy, the purfels really float up into your mustache. I should have been live tweeting this. Okay. The audio is also also gonna be crap. I'm the video and on this because I keep turning my head like 180 degrees. Okay, Matthew, those are a big moment.
Starting point is 00:28:37 Okay, well, we've been rehearsing for a solid two hours, so I don't know If it doesn't go well, it's just a lack of talent I think on both our parts But I think we're accepting of that This song's got a key change at the end. So if you're listening it to in the first three minutes I know when it hits too because I'm not gonna be able to keep up. It always throws me. I'm not good at key change Matthew you're better at guitar than I am. That's what I told my old girlfriend. Oh! And then he got locked out. It was a power play. For people that know me, that's not true.
Starting point is 00:29:16 But not everyone can start. Yeah. Hey, this is what we do it for for the fans This is this is our ode to you just when you're listening to this first imagine that we're really good and two Imagine that we're singing this to you the fans because it's all about you I don't know also I feel very confident that the first like five, ten seconds are going to be really dying my head. Yeah, I feel like all the way up until you need backup I guess this time you're really leaving. I heard your suitcase say goodbye And as my broken out lies bleeding You say true love is suicide
Starting point is 00:30:36 You say you cried a thousand rivers And now you're swimming for the show. You left me drowning in my tears, And you won't save me anymore. Pray to God, you give me one more chance, girl. And I'll need that for you These four words are swear to you And you bring army there for you
Starting point is 00:31:12 I'll need that for you I'm living not there for you Sville's built in this cat for you What's can't say well, love can do I need that for you And I know you know we had some good times And I'll let their own high place Well I can't promise you tomorrow But I can't buy my guess today
Starting point is 00:31:59 And maybe you know my life's on the air But only give me my living time Me the water when you get that steep bay map When you get drunk I'll be the white I'm in there for you, these are my words that's when you, when you're free, I'm in there for you I'm in there for you, I'm in there for you, still something to scout for you What's got to say with love can do I leave there when you were about, but all the men you thought And you know They don't need to miss your birthday, may my Or we should see you blow those candles out
Starting point is 00:33:36 Woo! I'll be there for you These flowers are sweatin' you And you breathe out underneath the there for you, these flowers are sweatin' you When you breathe, I wanna need a help for you I'll be there for you, I'm livin' not da for you Still start from the sky for you, let's get savin' love, can you? I'll be there for you you I'll be there for you These far-weighed less when you
Starting point is 00:34:09 When you're brave, I'll be there for you I'll be there for you I'll live and I'll go for you Still sad for the sky for you We'll scan sailor love can do I'll be there for you Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, Hey! Try to go, man. Yeah. That was...
Starting point is 00:35:12 I'm retiring. By far, the worst take we had all day. Turns out, using all our voices and rehearsals Really messed us up that key change did not go the way We also played it way too fast and that's my I was like, oh, you know, wow. Oh, my head hurts. Cheers to those who if it is anybody still watching, I don't know. I guess I'm assuming that people
Starting point is 00:35:56 suck around the phone. Yeah, all right. Be ahead for me. Here's the frustrating thing though. When we were in rehearsals, did it sound good, but at least I could actually manage the notes up there. When we got it here, I just, my voice finally quit. So I think I pulled something in my side too.
Starting point is 00:36:18 Maybe a larynx muscle or something. Oh man. Muscle, yeah. Wow, let me get a sip of water here. We'll finish it up Wow I've gone through more liquid and cough drops and tea and coffee today than maybe ever before Oh wow I'm sweaty. I don't know how you're wearing socks and pants
Starting point is 00:36:45 That's crazy Oh wow, I'm sweaty. I don't know how you're wearing socks and pants. That's crazy. I got bad legs, that's how I was trying to come around. Bad legs, that's a serious problem. Boy, this has been being toned on plugs. You know, the fun thing is we still got another podcast that we got to record. At least I don't have to hire. At least there's no singing except for the times when we break into songs. So, it could. It could.
Starting point is 00:37:09 There'll be nothing planned though. This has been Quinn David Furnace with Matthew Feedler. This has been a bean-town and plugged special series. We got an episode coming out this weekend live from Rockford, Illinois. Thank you to all the Facebook fans who are tuning in listening. Matthew, you have any parting thoughts here? I just, what's the naming scene behind on plug?
Starting point is 00:37:36 And was it, did it come full circle when I was on your show? Because are they unplugging from us in class? Well, that's what I like about the title, and that's why I think it's so in clever. Clever is because, yeah, people can interpret it in about five different ways. You could unplug your headphones, you could unplug the TV from the wall.
Starting point is 00:37:57 Yeah, so many ways that you can disengage with us. I think it's just, it's really exciting to be part of that movement. So it was bean ton on plug because have you ever watched that the MTV unplugged concerts specifically alone with Nirvana? Yeah, that's a, that's a solid entry. So that's basically what we're doing here. You know, we're the next Nirvana. Matthew's got a little Dave Grohl action going and you know with my hair I could be Kurt Cobain.
Starting point is 00:38:25 I don't know. They see it. They see it. Oh, people say it looked like Post Malone. I don't know. Look at myself in the camera here. I have to get some face tattoos. We could do that tonight, too.
Starting point is 00:38:37 Yeah, the night is still on. I got it. Yeah. Boy, I got it. I got it. Go. We're going to need some more cough drops, I got it. Boy, I got it. I got it. Go. We're going to need some more cough drops, I think, to get through the actual episode.
Starting point is 00:38:50 But that's all we got. So thank you for tuning in on Facebook. Thank you for listening. Don't forget to like, share, subscribe, rate, or an iTunes Google Play Stitcher or Play R FM. Not Spotify, because that's fake news. Anyways, this has been Quinn David Furnace with Matthew Feeder, come to you live,
Starting point is 00:39:08 being town unplugged. Thank you for tuning in, apologies retroactively. And tune in for all our new episodes every week as we continue the Fall 2018 tour. All right, everyone, have a good night. We'll check in and you later. Have a good night. We'll check in and you later.
