Bedros Keuilian Podcast Show - 051. How To Get Stupid Rich
Episode Date: September 19, 2023Everyone wants to get rich and that’s a good thing. But no one understands the real secret behind attaining (let alone keeping) it. In my latest episode, I'm laying down the two things you nee...d to conquer to break this vicious cycle so that you can get so stupid rich that money is no longer a necessity, but a tool. A tool that helps you build a life where you can unleash the 2.0 version of yourself. So that you can reach a level of self-mastery so high that not even the chaos of a “3-day” global shutdown or the mess that is “bidenomics” can touch. So many outside elements of resistance can show up.
Those are the bears.
You have no control over them.
But what you do have control over is your effort and your attitude.
And the amount of effort you're willing to put in.
And the attitude in which you show up when you face that bear
determines whether you make it to the next plateau.
Welcome to the Bedroos-Coolian show.
Hey, what's happening, guys?
Welcome to the Bedros-Coolian show.
I'm Bedros-Culian.
and today we're going to talk about how you can get stupid rich.
But it's not quite what you think.
But the title of this episode is How to Get Stupid Rich.
First off,
I want to thank all of you for following me on the YouTube's on Spotify
and of course on the podcast platforms like Stitcher and iTunes.
You guys are blowing this show up and I appreciate it.
I'm massively grateful for it.
So let's dive into it.
Now when I say stupid rich,
this is kind of like when I talk about, you know, how to get jacked.
I'll always, every now and again, I'll put up a Instagram post and I'll say,
these are the five most important muscles to build.
And I could just imagine people who are just reading it like, oh, shit, okay, what is it?
Is it chest and then shoulders and then arms and then traps and then back and the legs?
Like, what are the five most important muscles?
And I'll start listing off like, you know, your compassion muscles, your kindness muscles,
your money-making muscles, right?
Your relationship muscles.
And so these muscles are just as important as building physical muscles.
Well, there's also rich as in physical, financial rich.
But you know, you could be rich in relationships.
You can be rich with friendships.
You could be rich in health, rich in terms of purpose and meaning, right?
So when I say this is how you get stupid rich, I'm not just talking about money and make
no mistake about it, this will definitely help you become stupid rich financially. So let's dive into it
because when I started building Fit Body Boot Camp, our franchise, this was some 14 years ago,
right? I came up with this idea. The housing market had just crashed and I came up with this
idea of, you know, what if we took that outdoor boot camp, brought it indoors and, you know,
had equipment and made 30-minute workout sessions, classes, as some of you might know it. And
And instead of one-on-one personal training because the housing market had crashed,
the economy had gone to shit, people couldn't afford one-on-one training as much.
It was too expensive.
I figured I can do one-on-many, one coach, many clients, and bring the cost of personal
training down and make it more affordable and convenient.
And that's how Fit Body Boot Camp was born, right?
I was like, man, I'm going to get stupid rich because this thing is going to become a franchise.
I'm going to help a bunch of people worldwide get fit, get healthy, and I'm going to make
a crap ton of money in the process, right? Little that I know that the process of getting stupid
rich is not just having a good product, great marketing, good sales, leadership management. Yes,
those things matter, but we all know of businesses where the product is awesome. It solves a
great problem that people have, but it never really launched. It never really made it. And we also know
people who might be making good money, but they're not rich in health. They're not rich in meaning
and purpose. They're not rich in relationships with their family, with their kids, with their
friendships, right? And what is the point of money if you don't have meaning, if you don't
have self-mastery, if you don't have relationships that you can have experiences with, right? Like,
if you have all this money, but you're having experiences with yourself because you don't know
how to maintain a relationship, how to develop a relationship, how to have a deep,
meaningful relationship. Like, what's the point? If you want to get stupid rich, you have to understand
something, right? That there's two things that are going to help you get there. And these two things
are mandatory. There's no way to go around it. So it's not just good marketing and sales and leadership
and all that stuff. It's certainly not leader, you know, anything of terms of management of people or,
you know, what is the industry that there's still not a lot of competition in? Because you're going to
find competition everywhere. But the thing that's really going to help you become successful and
rich in every category of life is this. Adversity.
adversity. And I want to let you know that adversity comes in many ways. And specifically it comes
in these two ways. One, it shows up as the bear. And number two, it shows up as the dragon.
And you're probably wondering, like, what the hell is he talking about? The bear and the dragon.
Well, if you want to develop meaningful relationships, if you want to become the best
version of yourself, if you want to create a business that really scales and grows and makes a lot
of money and employs a lot of people and helps a lot of people and, you know, generates a lot of
profits for you, you're going to have to go through adversity. And I almost look at it as adversity
shows up because it is God's way. It is the universe's way. It is your creator's way of testing you
to see if you want it. And I'll give you a great example of that. You look at someone who's won the
lottery, right? Like all the stats out there say that someone who wins the power ball, like $270 million,
on average, within two years,
85% of these people are back to being broke.
Well, what happened to all those millions of dollars?
Like, how do you lose $270 million?
And it's because they acquired the money
without paying the dues.
The dues must be paid in the form of adversity.
I had the hard realization of this
as I was growing FitBody Boot Camp.
I thought that I just needed to have a great product, Fit Body Boot Camp, and market it well,
sell it well, scale it, hire a team, rinse and repeat, leverage that at a higher level,
and grow.
And while we have massively grown Fit Body Boot Camp twice in the history of Fit Body Boot Camp
during the earlier parts of building this organization, I had massive setbacks.
And those setbacks were a byproduct of me not doing the work that was required of me to become the leader
that this business required so that it would become the nine-figure business that it ultimately would become.
Right. And so twice, Fit Body Boot Camp in the earlier years imploded on itself.
And it wasn't a byproduct of bad product, bad marketing, bad sales.
It was a byproduct of a bad leader, a leader who did not deal with the,
bear and the dragon. And so let's talk about the bear and the dragon because in your life,
you have these things. And if you do not address the bear and the dragon, you will never have a
meaningful relationship. You will never have great health that you maintain. You'll be the person
that loses weight, gets fit, and then gains weight and is not healthy. And then loses weight
gets fit and then gains weight and you're not healthy again. Or you go in and out of
shitty relationships. You know, they're good for a temporary amount of time and then you do
something to sabotage it or, you know, your business is kicking ass and taking names and then boom,
it just literally topples on itself. And if you're wondering why that happens, I'm going to tell you,
you are not addressing the bear and the dragon. So if you're wondering what the hell are the
bear and the dragon, I'm going to tell you. The bear is all external resistance. The dragon
is all internal resistance. And all of us must encounter and over. And over, you know,
overcome the internal and external resistance.
So let's talk about the bear first.
Here's how I look at it.
If you can just visualize in your mind's eye,
like this mountain that you're climbing,
and we're just going to use business as an example,
but at the top of the mountain,
it could be a meaningful relationship.
It doesn't have to be a successful business.
At the top of the mountain,
it could be the ultimate version of you,
the self-actualized,
healthiest, most awesome version of you.
whatever your life's goal is at the top of the mountain, let's put that way up there,
and we're going to be climbing towards that together.
Now, for the simplicity sake, we're going to use a very successful, profitable business
that is impacting lives and generating a lot of income for you and your team, right?
Now, if my goal then is to build a, let's say a fitness franchise with 1,000 locations worldwide,
and that is my ultimate goal, and that is the main.
mountain that I'm going to climb, I want you to picture these different plateaus on this mountain.
Almost like you climb, climb, climb, and there's a plateau.
Well, each time you climb, there's a plateau.
Imagine that you're kind of camping out there for a while, right?
You're camping out because there's a river that's got fresh, clean water.
There's trees and there's bushes that are giving fruit and vegetables.
There are little critters running around that you can catch, kill, and eat and get your proteins.
But at some point, that plateau, that level that you're on is going to turn barren, is going to run out of water.
It's going to stop bearing fruit and vegetables.
Those little critters that you were chasing down are no longer there.
When you find yourself thirsty, hungry, without shelter, and you look up at the mountain and you realize, I got to go up to that next plateau.
I could see beautiful trees and bushes.
I could see critters running around that I could catch, kill, and eat.
hell i could see a flowing river that i need access to but on your climb up to that second plateau on that
mountain you see a bear that bear is fixated on you that bear is external resistance that bear is growling at
you so you find another path and maybe it's a more challenging path but the bear comes to that side
of the mountain and it's growling at you it's clawing at you well you realize
if you stay on this lower platform plateau,
you're not going to make it.
You're not going to survive.
You're going to end up dying.
There's no food.
There's no water.
There's no shelter.
Everything's gone barren.
So you've got to make it to the second plateau.
So you find a way to push against the bear, the resistance, and you make it.
Now here's a funny thing.
Soon as you make it to the top, the bear kind of lives in between plateaus.
Soon as you can get past the bear, it doesn't chase you anymore.
It allows you go to that next level.
you make it to that next level.
Lo and behold, several months go by.
Second plateau runs out of water.
The trees and the bushes run out of fruits and vegetables.
You no longer have shelter.
And guess what?
All those critters that you were catching and killing and eating, they're gone.
Once again, you're left with the barren plateau.
You know what you got to do.
You look up.
And when you look up, you see third plateau,
fresh water, beautiful trees and bushes,
critters running around looking delicious as fuck.
Hell, there might even be a bag of Cheetos
up there waiting for you.
And you want to get up to that third plateau
to get to all of it.
But you know what's there?
The bear.
More external resistance.
Between Plateau 2 and Plateau 3 on that mountain,
during that climb, you're going to have to deal with that bear again.
But this time, the bear is more wily.
The bear is faster.
It seems more aggressive.
It could almost predict what your next move is.
And you're like,
motherfucker, this bear is like fucking AI.
It has gained intelligence,
and it is faster, smarter,
and trying to outwit me.
But you're wily as well.
You're courageous.
You're strong,
and you are hungry and thirsty as fuck.
And so you find a way to get past the bear.
And remember,
the bear doesn't chase you once you get past it,
and you make it up to that third plastic.
Now you're enjoying life again. Food, shelter, water, you got it all. And so you see the metaphor
for life, don't you? You want to keep climbing because the mountaintop never runs out.
Listen, I stopped taking all of those and I started taking this, the Trulian Wellness
shot. In fact, I created this because I was sick and tired of every morning taking 11 different
supplements like turmeric, ginger, cayenne pepper, black pepper, vitamin B12, echinacea, vitamin C, zinc,
right? Think about this. If you want to improve your immune system, if you want to fight off
inflammation in your body so that you have better gut health, you have more energy, your joints
don't hurt, then you're going to want to take all those supplements. And I was taking it twice
a day every day. And so when we created the truly wellness shot, we cut no corners and we spared
no expense. And so in this, you've got something that's going to not only help boost your immune system,
but also fight off inflammation. Because if you're a high performer and if you want to get more done,
if you want to stay more focused, if you want to make sure that you don't get sick as frequently,
then you have to care about your immune system and you have to fight off inflammation,
especially if you're an entrepreneur and you're high performing and you have a stressful workday
from time to time, right? And so here's what I want you to do. You're going to click on the link in the
description box or go to truleen.com and you're going to use the code word bedroes and when you use
my name bedros, you'll get 50% off your first subscribe and save bundle. For whatever reason,
you don't like the trueling wellness shot, which I have yet to meet anyone who doesn't.
Then let us know in your first 30 days will give you full refund, part ways as friends. Fair enough,
go check it out. Use the code word bedrosse. Get 50% off. Peace. Our goal in life,
your life's purpose is to keep climbing the mountain.
And each time you climb the mountain and you get to a new plateau,
and you've got many mountains to climb,
the mountain of health,
physical, mental, and emotional health.
There's always another level of physical, mental, emotional health
that you know you deserve, you want.
You have to keep climbing that mountain.
Your financial mountain, you got to keep climbing it.
Your relational mountain, you got to keep climbing it.
your purpose and meaning mountain, your significance mountain, you got to keep climbing it.
But each time you get to a new plateau on your journey to the top, that bear in between
plateaus is wily, is aggressive, and seems to get more and more intelligent, almost predicting
your moves.
But each time you get past it, you have gained more mastery, more courage, more strength.
You can outthink this bear.
This is why there's different levels of humans.
There are those humans that decide to stay on that first or second plateau and live off
rocks and dirt and twigs because they are not courageous enough.
They don't have enough vision.
They don't have enough drive and urgency to go up to that next plateau.
They live in a state of fear.
Then there are the courageous ones.
They're risk takers.
those who know they deserve more for themselves and their families,
and they know they're willing to fight that bear,
push through that external resistance of life
and get to that next plateau so that they can provide more for themselves,
for their families,
so that they can become the 2.0 versions of themselves
and gift themselves to the world, to their families,
to their business, to their customers, to their teams.
It is only during that climb that you deal with that bear
who gives you resistance,
who pushes back, who fights back.
And each time you get past that bear,
you develop skills and traits to be a better human.
You become more emotionally disciplined.
You become more mentally tough.
You begin to outwit and outthink others.
You begin to become more stoic.
You are healthier.
You become the idealized version of yourself.
But the climb must continue because the top never appears.
That is the human journey.
So you understand what I mean when I say the bear.
The bear can show up in a lot of ways.
The bear can show up as external resistance in terms of an economic downturn.
The bear can show up like in 2020, a freaking pandemic where they said that in Wuhan, a bat
and a pig had some wild sex and this virus was produced and then somehow spread around the
world.
only later to be found out that it's a man-made virus in a lab in Wuhan, right?
But that is external resistance.
We had no control over it.
Some chose to become victims during 2020 and let their businesses collapse, their relationships
collapse, their health collapse.
We know so many people who mentally and emotionally got into the darkest, most depressed
and anxious state of their life during the 2020.
20 pandemic. We know so many people who gained weight and never seemed to get it back off again
because they chose to be a victim. They didn't choose to fight back. But those who fought back
became stronger, more resilient, more emotionally and mentally tough. And that is what I want
for you. See, external resistance can show up in so many ways. It could show up as a family member.
Like you're rocking through life, man. You're getting your workouts in. You're eating right. You're
journals and books and watching self-help videos and podcasts and you're doing everything man you're
making your money you're leading your people and boom a car accident happens a family member gets
injured god forbid they have to lose a leg but they're going to live that is external resistance
because that is resistance that you have to fight against while still trying to maintain your health
your mindset your money your priorities right so many people will stop everything else
else to deal with that one issue. That is the wrong way to address life. What you've got to do is
add that issue on top of everything else and keep pushing yourself against the bear. Make it to the next
plateau and the plateau after. So I don't know what external resistance shows up in your life,
but I can tell you it could show up as a pandemic. It could show up as competition and business.
It could show up, God forbid, is your spouse asking for a divorce, your kid getting injured,
It could show up as a family member dying, someone that you love, your parents dying unexpectedly.
So many outside elements of resistance can show up.
Those are the bears.
You have no control over them.
But what you do have control over is your effort and your attitude.
And the amount of effort you're willing to put in.
And the attitude in which you show up when you face that bear determines whether you make it to the next plateau.
And if you do, you become the better person.
Wealthier.
Healthier.
More dialed in.
More connected to consciousness.
Right?
But remember, the bear is just one of two elements.
There's also the dragon.
The dragon is all internal resistance.
Right?
And you're like, fuck.
Dude, you just described the worst case scenario.
All these things that can go wrong in life and that have gone wrong in life,
all while I'm trying to become a better person, make more money, improve my relationship.
develop my purpose. And now I also have to worry about the internal factors. Yes, yes, you do. This is how
the universe, your creator, wants it to be. And if you're like, well, why? Why does it have to be that way?
I will explain this to you just after I take a drink of my delicious, truly in wellness shot.
Now, why is it that the creator wants this? Simple. The creator wants you to not only fight the bear,
but also the dragon, your internal resistance, your internal, all this gunk that you have within.
Because it is like training in the gym.
Think about this.
When you go to the gym, you work out.
You end up getting sore.
You end up getting sweaty.
You end up getting out of breath.
Your muscles begin to burn because all that lactic acid that built up, right?
Like that is what a good workout does.
At first is very uncomfortable.
It is painful.
It is sweaty.
The good news is, on the other.
side of that workout is a healthier, better, sexier version of you. That's resistance. So don't you
think that we need to build our mental, emotional muscles, our muscles of discipline, our muscles
of focus and consistency, our muscles of courage and mental toughness? Of course we do. We need
resistance as well, just like we have, you know, the treadmill or the stair step,
or the fucking bench press or the squat rack in the gym to give us resistance, to build our
bodies, to build all of these other traits, emotions, mindsets, skill sets, we need resistance as well.
And that is why the universe provides that in the form of external resistance, the bear,
and internal resistance, the dragon.
So then now that we know that this is the formula, these are the ingredients.
for a better life. Like God is not punishing you, my friend. God is not punishing you when you are
faced with issues in your life. The only person that has no issues, by the way, in life that has a
very consistent and predictable life are dead people. And you, my friend, are not dead. You are
alive. You are doing well. Therefore, you have to control your efforts and your attitudes while you are
going through these external and internal resistance. So how do the internal resistance show up?
Well, could be trauma. Maybe like me, maybe you were sexually abused when you were a kid.
I carried the weight of that trauma all the way to the age of 36, 37 years old,
anxious, depressed, feeling unlovable, broken. Now, how do you think you're going to fare in life
If you're going through life, feeling broken, unlovable, anxious, depressed all the time.
You're not.
You're simply not going to do well in life.
Not in your relationships.
Not in your money.
Not in your personal health.
So everything was up and down for me.
And guys, I want to be very, very transparent with you on this.
Because had I not dealt with my internal dragon, all my limiting beliefs that I had,
because of the abuse that I experienced as a kid.
I had limiting beliefs.
I had upper limits, if you will.
There was a certain level of happiness
that I wouldn't allow myself to achieve.
All of this, by the way, was subconscious.
It's not like I was actively saying,
man, I don't deserve money,
I don't deserve a great relationship.
I wasn't saying I don't deserve happiness.
But subconsciously, I felt like I don't deserve it
because I never addressed the inner resistance.
And the inner resistance can show up as
physical abuse, sexual abuse, mental abuse, being broke, being laughed at as a kid, being made
fun of. You know, I was an immigrant to this country, right? Imagine not speaking the language,
living in Section 8 housing, wearing hand-me-down clothes or clothes that we found, you know,
outside in the dumpster. When people moved out of their apartments, they would throw clothes away,
and my mom would find it if it somewhat kind of sort of fit me, I would wear it. Well, how do you
think I felt. I didn't feel proud of myself. I certainly got laughed at a lot. Had I not worked
through all of that by reading books on self-development, on developing myself into a stoic man,
by developing emotional discipline and emotional resilience, by gaining mental toughness,
by doing hard things consistently over and over again, by, by,
improving my reputation with myself, by making promises and keeping those promises. Had I not done
all that work over years, I would not have become this person to sit in front of this camera
in front of this microphone to do this episode for you. And so if you want to gift the best version
of yourself to the world, to your family, to your business, you want to break through all
limiting beliefs. You've got to handle your business. And handling your business means dealing
with the dragon, all of your internal resistance, how you feel about yourself, whatever abuse
you've dealt with, like heal through your shit. Do the self-work. Pay the price of becoming the
badass. Let the human animal within die and give life to the human being that's connected
to consciousness. And when you do, and you do that work,
You now have tamed the inner dragon.
You have now proven that you could fight the bear.
And once you've proven that you have tamed your inner resistance and you've broken
through all those limiting beliefs and glass ceilings and upper limits that you had,
dude, your anxieties go away.
Depression goes away.
How you feel about yourself in terms of negative self-talk.
All of that goes away.
because you have to do the deep inner work.
You can't ignore it.
You can't escape it by smoking weed and watching TV,
going down the rabbit hole of pornography,
playing video games and late into the night.
All those things are just escape methods.
You can't run away from the dragon.
You have to stand face to face, nose to nose,
toes to toes with the dragon and fight that motherfucker.
And when you do it is the greatest battle that you will ever
experience. There's so much self-discovery that you will have. You must fight the inner resistance,
give birth to your highest self, your 2.0 self, and then every level of that mountain
climb that you go to, every level of plateau that you hit, when life gives you resistance,
external resistance, the bear will show up. You must courageously, optimistically,
with good attitude and great effort
show up every single time.
That is what it takes.
The alternative is what?
Mediocrity.
The alternative is to be average.
The alternative is to be a crop duster
and not a fighter jet.
The alternative is to watch everyone else
out there living the life
that you want to experience.
And if you're here,
you're watching or listening to the show,
this might be a sign from your creator
that it's time that you do something about it.
I don't know what that something looks like.
I don't know if you need to start reading books on self-development.
I don't know if it's a decision that you've been putting off and you need to make.
I don't know if you've got to start training consistently and stop making excuses.
I don't know if it just starts with cleaning up your diet.
for the next 10, 12 weeks and proving to yourself that you can maintain willpower and discipline
over self, I don't know if it's writing an apology letter to someone or asking someone for an
apology.
But you are on the precipice of a breakthrough right now as you watch and as you listen to
the show because it's not by accident that you're here right now.
It's not.
That breakthrough is one decision away.
And then each time you stack those wins, you begin to gain momentum.
And every time you gain momentum, you become an unstoppable force of awesomeness.
But all of it starts with addressing the inner resistance and the external resistance
in the form of the dragon and the bear.
You get that, right?
only dead people have consistent, predictable lives because they're dead.
And if you are not dead, this is your chance to deal with the resistance and build the
emotional, mental, relational, financial muscles.
This is what it takes, doing the work, addressing it head on.
Guys, I want to thank you for watching and listening to this episode of the Bedrose Cullion show.
I want to thank you for subscribing.
I want to thank you for the comments that you leave.
I want to thank you for liking and sharing these episodes.
It is because of you that the tribe continues to grow,
the impact that we make continues to grow.
And I want nothing from you in terms of monetary gain other than to share this message
and to engage with these episodes, whether subscribing, liking, commenting.
And listen, if you're ever going to buy anything from me, I appreciate that too.
That does not go unseen.
I know that there's lots of places and companies and products that you could do business with
and the fact that you decide to wear fuel hunt shirts and apparel and use Trulene supplements.
So many of you have become Fit Body Boot Camp franchise owners.
I've gained a handful of coaching clients and we went from just seeing each other on YouTube
and you listening to this podcast.
Are you coming here to HQ?
And working with me.
allowing me to step into your life and guide you, mentor you, to making more money, having more
self-mastery. I appreciate that. And all of you that came out to Bedrose Coolean Live early September,
I want to thank you for that. Man, it was great seeing every single one of you, all the faces,
meeting you, shaking hands. But above all, thank you for this relationship we have. This is not a one-way
conversation me to you. It is the comments, it is the the DMs, it is the sharing that you do,
that I get to reshare and repost. All of that makes this conversational and relational.
So remember this, that averages the enemy, friends. Success is your responsibility and change
can take place in an instant when you are willing to flip the switch. See you soon.
Instrumentum.
