There is no easy way to articulate what it feels like to realize that someone you once trusted, someone who sat in your home, who shared meals with you, was secretly behind the very horror you were trying to escape. I'm Andre Gunning. On this season of betrayal, we meet Carl Bryant. Carl thought he was living a normal, drama-free life until the messages started. You broke me. You do not deserve happiness. You will have hell to pay. Cyberstalking, emotional abuse, swatting, extortion, impersonation. This was a shocking case of harassment revealed in an even more shocking secret confession tape.

This is very calculated, very sick. When I have jealousy, I'm kind of sociopathic about it. If it was legal to paralyze him from the waist down, I would do it. Someone was after Carl. You have someone who had intimate knowledge of someone's life and used it against them. For nine months, someone infiltrated every aspect of Carl's life, threatening to ruin him. Do you ever worry about your reputation? It was extortion threatening the release of private photos.

And then the text threats escalated. Someone's not going to make it out of this alive. This apartment. It's playing out in real life and not just on the phone. He said someone there had a knife. Carl Stalker suggested he was willing to take it all farther. He was asking me like, if I wanted you to tell somebody, how much would you charge? Every piece of evidence pointed to one man.

I thought I was losing my fucking mind. What if I did do it and I just don't remember? But every piece of evidence was a lie. I have never seen anything like this before. The obsession became insane. The question everyone was asking. Why would anybody do that? He wanted me to crawl to him.

I am scared out of my mind. He was not going to stop unless we stopped him.
