Starting point is 00:00:00 Just before midnight on Saturday, February 19th, 2005, Danielle Imbo and her friend Richard Patrone left a crowded Philadelphia bar. The two 30-somethings planned to walk to Richard's truck and drive home, but they never made it. It does not make sense. It's like they literally vanished. The two were never seen again. Not just them, but a truck disappeared into the ether from one of the most frequented spots in the whole city.
Starting point is 00:00:34 It was stunning. Nobody hears anything. Nobody sees anything. Did they run away? Was it an accident or were they murdered? No one had a motive to kill them. No one dropped from the sky and said, let me take these people on this truck
Starting point is 00:00:49 and let them disappear. No. Those same questions frustrated law enforcement. A truck and two people just don't disappear. The FBI called it murder for hire. Who killed these two individuals and how did they get rid of them? Where there's no physical evidence. Both of them weren't the target. One of them was the target. The other one was wrong place, wrong time.
Starting point is 00:01:11 But which victim was the intended target and why? It was definitely murder for hire for Danielle. Not for Richard. You're right, it could be. But it also could be something your son did too. No one was looking to kill Richard. No one. He's your son, and in your eyes he's innocent, but in my eyes he's just some guy my sister was with. Fingers were pointed, allegations were made,
Starting point is 00:01:38 and lines were drawn. That drove the wedge between the families. At this point, emotions are very high. You have two families. their daughter and son are missing and people are trying to find answers. And there was quite a bit of animosity between the two families. What happened to Danielle and Richard?
Starting point is 00:02:01 I think that whatever happened to my dad and Danielle was planned and orchestrated and thought out.
