Hello and welcome to Bible beginning to end.
Hear me when I say I am so glad that you are here.
The objective of this channel, as the title suggests,
is for me to read through the scriptures,
starting in Genesis and ending in Revelation.
I know that there are many audio versions of the Bible out there,
but I had felt for many weeks God calling me to do something,
and I wasn't sure what that was yet.
I knew it was something creative, maybe to write,
maybe to blog, maybe to start a YouTube channel.
I didn't really know, but this idea came to me,
and so I wanted to just run along with that
and listen to God's calling and answer it.
As I read through these scriptures in these videos, I'm not going to be giving much commentary,
but I will be asking questions along the way.
Questions that are meant for you to reflect on the scriptures,
critically think about the words being given to us,
and give you a chance to interact with the scriptures in a different way.
You can look at these as a biblical meditation on the scriptures,
You can look at these as a Bible study.
You can look at these as a calming, relaxing video to listen to before you go to sleep as a way to start your day, as a way to center your mind to be up front.
I'm not a theologian.
I'm not a Bible scholar, but I am a Christian.
And I love these words that God has given us to help us know him more deeply.
and I believe that there are a lot of commentaries and ideas and thoughts about the scriptures and what they mean.
But at some point, it's up to us to look at the Bible as one complete story inspired by God, written by God.
And we have to let the words speak for themselves.
As the Holy Spirit lives in us, he helps us to interpret these words.
for ourselves. And I think it's good for us to have practice critically thinking about what God
is saying to us through His Word. I'm not sure how long this is going to take me. It could take
15 years for all I know to read through this whole Bible and create these videos. I don't know if
I'm going to be uploading weekly or monthly or twice a week, but I'm committed to this project
and to seeing it through till the end.
For all I know, God could have just put this on my heart
because he wanted me to read the scriptures
and think about them for myself.
But if it helps at least some of you out there
to enjoy the scriptures in a new way
and think on them and meditate on them,
then I am so happy that God has let me be a part of that in a little way.
