Wave.
Ooh, you got the clam, I got the ham.
Grill it up nice on my frying pan.
I said, hungry for breakfast, a yum, yum, yum.
Mom come downstairs and give me a cinnamon bun.
Sometimes a lot of people thought I was British.
Why?
Day and night, they just felt like my tone in that song was like...
Dian night.
Nice and cold, drink that.
Wait, big bro?
Yeah.
Are we on a podcast right now?
What's good y'all?
Welcome back to Big Bro with Kid Cutty, a wave original presented by Adobe Acobat.
I'm a big bro Scott, coming to you live from The Addict in My Mind.
Today our guest is the ever-so-talented Lisa Gilroy.
Lisa is one of the funniest humans on the planet.
Got a chance to see her improv genius,
freestyled over one of my beats, and we fight over ketchup chips.
Because I'm still undecided on those.
So kickback, vibe out, and enjoy.
See you on the other side.
Okay, Lisa, I have to just kind of talk about how I discovered you.
Okay, go on.
And just to put the audience on, because this is big bro, that's what we do.
We put you on to cool shit, right?
There's this show called Very Important People that is really fucking great.
They take comedians and they come in and they dress them up in crazy costumes
and they have to come up with a character on the spot, right?
Yes, correct.
And Lisa did this character on the show named Spencer,
who is kind of like a demon?
Yeah, I guess he's like a big monster baby from hell.
So tell me, like, how did this happen?
Like, how did you come up with this character?
It was just the impulse.
How could you fly in the face of God like this?
How could you do something like this?
Yeah, well, they,
Do you, like, you know, you have like three hours in the chair where you have your eyes closed.
Wow.
Except for then the most horrid, wretched part at the end where a lady comes and puts her finger in your eyeball.
She puts the contacts in your eyeball for you.
Yeah.
Have you ever had somebody touch your naked eyeball?
Yeah, I've done some movies where they have to put it in because I'm not good with contacts.
It's nasty.
And some of them are like the full, they call them like scleral contacts and they cover all the whites and everything.
You did that?
No, I haven't done that.
I refuse.
It's so nasty.
They were trying to put some all black lenses in my eyes.
I was playing this vampire and they were trying to do that.
And I was like, guys, we're going to do two things.
You're going to give me some smaller ones or we're going to do this in post.
Yeah, yeah, I agree.
Because also with those ones, like you just simply can't see.
They're like, hey, are you okay doing this completely blind?
And isn't they're like a little small, little hole?
Yeah, and all it takes is for the wind to blow a certain direction and then you're completely paralyzed with fear and you can't see where you're going.
It's horrible.
Those contacts you were wearing were gnarly.
But those ones for Spencer, they did do just the ones on the actual iris, which is nice.
But yeah, so, but that's the bad part.
Somebody comes and pokes you in the eye.
And then you can't see anything except for when they put the contacts in.
I could tell the contacts were yellow because I could see that.
And then I could see like the tip of my nose.
And I thought it was a beak and I thought it was a bird.
So I was really prepping some big birds stuff.
And then they did the reveal and I was like, what the fuck is this?
What am I?
Can I say fuck?
Yeah, man.
Hell yeah.
Fuck shit piss.
This fog gas rules.
Big bro.
This is for mature audiences.
There's some kids watching this shit.
too, but it's all good.
Okay, then frick, shoot.
No, fuck it, fuck it.
Piss is always good for all ages.
Yeah, definitely.
Piss is okay, right?
Would you get spanked if you said piss when you're a kid?
I used to say, I used to curse as a child.
Is piss a curse to you?
Not really.
Okay.
But if you, like, if you're like six or seven and you said, I have to piss, like your mom
will probably be like, hey, watch your mouth.
And you can't like raise your hand in class and be like, excuse me, can I go piss?
No, you can't do that.
I think you might get in trouble.
Yeah, definitely you're getting in trouble.
And that was like, I was like the type of kid.
that would test the limits as it.
Me too.
Like in school?
Yeah.
You were like that?
Yeah.
Yeah, man.
It's like that was where I kind of tapped into my comedy.
Was that kind of like for you the same thing?
I guess I didn't think it was comedy.
I just thought it was being like a wretched bastard that got kicked out of class.
Because it was like nobody was laughing.
I was just being like disruptive and like mentally ill.
Yeah, yeah.
No support.
Yeah.
See, I used to have people laughing.
At least the teachers too.
Because some of the times the teachers would just be like,
Scott.
I would say something
I remember I was in biology one time.
The teacher is doing her thing
and she's like,
she says something about chlorophyll.
And like, for me,
I have been waiting for this moment.
I don't know.
As a Billy Madison fan
for this,
for this to happen,
for somebody to set me up for this joke.
So she said something about chlorophyll
and I was like,
Chlorfield sounds like
Boorville and everybody
in the class started laughing
and the teacher was just like
Scott, come on
and I was just like sorry Miss Ross
I had to take it I had to go for it
Wow so you're a big joke riper offer when you're a kid
Yeah I stole jokes
You could get arrested for plagiarism
Yeah I stole jokes in high school for sure for sure
Guilty
What was some of the things you were obsessed with as a kid
Like when you were younger like
What was something that you just like
Need to have in your
your life?
I played a lot of Sims.
Okay.
You ever play Sims?
Yes.
So there's like a good hack where you could get Rosebud,
uh, semicolon, exclamation mark, exclamation mark, semicolon, back and forth like that.
And if you did it a lot, you could get a lot of money.
And you could like redecorate your house and put in fancy floors.
What's the, like, what's, so what's, I haven't, I played Sims like in like brief bits.
Like I've never played it for long periods of time.
What happens the longer you play?
I don't understand how you could only play in brief,
To me, it's like such an addictive substance.
You sit down to play, five hours are gone.
No, no, I haven't.
You would just dabble just a little bit?
Wow, you have like good self-control.
Yeah, it wasn't like it didn't, I don't know, man.
It was fun, but like it was in college.
I was chasing girls and smoking weed.
Oh, yeah, you had more important things.
Yeah, you know.
I wasn't sexually active, so I was making my Sims fuck a lot.
You understand?
These are people that you can just click on them
and tell them to do nasty deeds to get.
It's heaven on earth.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And I got the expansion pack, Sims Hot Date.
Oh shit.
Heart-shaped hot tub.
Kissing on the lips.
No, they don't do all that.
Make out, they would make out and hearts and flowers would come and swirl around them.
You could have sex in the bed.
You could make a baby.
You can't have sex with them.
Yes, you can't, but I can't.
You don't see it.
You don't see it.
But they can have, no, they do like a swirl of like romantic flower petals around them.
But you can guess what's happening.
And there was a hack where you could make the peck.
pedals go away.
But there wasn't much going on underneath, I don't think, except for maybe like some
hoinking and doinking under the covers.
It wasn't designed.
They didn't design that deep into it.
Yeah.
But that was quite a thrill for me.
That's dope.
So the game is, you said you never, like, played it long term.
No, no, no, no.
The game, if you play it legitimately becomes just like as stressful and boring as real
life.
Like, the people get jobs and they have to pay the mortgage and the children are crying.
Sometimes the children are on fire.
If you don't have kitchen safety, your kids can get lit on fire.
And then if you die and the problem.
cool, you get a ghost in your house, normal stuff, you know, just like your life.
Oh, fuck.
This is great, man.
I might have to dive into Sims.
We had Kylie on here, Kylie Jenner, and she was talking about her love of Sims.
I don't know her.
And she...
She loves Sims?
She does.
Oh, my God.
I knew I was like a supermodel.
She was, like, raving about it.
Wow.
And, like, I was like, man, it made me think about it.
And you're the second time, you're the second person to bring it up.
So, like, I think I might need to, like, tap in.
Another thing that I like, that was, like, like,
like a really niche thing.
And maybe it was only big in Canada, but it was called Diva Stars.
And you could go on this website and there's these girls.
And she'd be like, hey, girl, I'm Tia, a hip-cool chick and a techno-wiz.
And you could choose what girl you wanted to be and you could, like, do their makeup and stuff.
What is it?
Diva stars?
Diva stars, yeah.
Is this the app?
No, it was a, I think this was before apps.
Oh, wow.
It was on the computer.
Oh, okay.
Like click, click desktop.
Oh, shit.
Dinner's ready.
Diva.
That kind of thing.
Man, I used to play like, like, this.
the weakest games on my computer, but we had like, my mom was a computer teacher, right?
She was a hustler at the school.
She did music, and she was like a computer teacher, right?
That's cool.
So we got all the, like, newest computer, all the latest Macs and shit.
Like, but this is like, you know, the 80s, 90s, so the computers or whatever.
But, like, we had, like, the illest games, like Montezuma's Revenge.
I don't know that.
What is that?
Well, basically, it's about this.
It's like Indiana Jones.
It's this fucking guy in the jungle.
His name's Montezuma?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
What's he getting revenge for?
I have no idea.
I don't know.
I just know it's-
weak storytelling in the game then.
I just know it was like a fucking bootleg version of Indiana Jones.
Right.
And he was just in the jungle and he swung on vines.
And then sometimes he would fall in the pit or balls would come down and crush him.
Oh.
Or snakes would come out.
Okay.
So he is a rip off of Indiana Jones.
Like you are a rip off of Adam Sandler, Billy Madison.
Exactly.
Exactly.
Same idea.
Okay.
What's one hobby you had as a kid that you're happy you stuck with?
Being a little piece of shit.
I love it.
Probably just like, yeah, like messing around and joking around.
Bothering people, like that's okay.
As an adult, sometimes now I'm celebrated for bothering people.
Yeah.
I'm about to do it to you a bunch, and I've already gotten started.
I love it.
I love it.
This is why you're here.
I want all of it.
Give it all to me.
So this next part of the show, I've seen you kind of, there's this one video.
posted that I liked of you like making a beat with your voice and like this shit is so like do you make
music I mean I make stuff on the looper which I have posted but that shit is not easy to use like I can't
yes you can I've tried to use a looper and I fail I can't believe that for a second I feel like it's
it's hard for me I don't know man I just saw that clip and I was just like yo she has to do like I have to do
something with her with music. We have to make songs. Imagine? So we're going to freestyle
some songs right now. We're going to just make some, we're going to throw some things on
the screen. Oh my God. Different prompts. And we're just going to improvise a song. Like this first one is
about what we ate for breakfast. Hey, I got, I got, I got, I got, I got grits on my plate.
Couple of eggs. Come on down. Put some butt on bread. I'm just the guy trying to get with
Everybody has.
Everybody see me what I smoke on the hash.
Now you see me in my boo-boo whip,
rolling through the land and I'm dipping from six.
Don't give a fuck.
Yeah, I'm the man.
Pull up in the club and you know I got the plan.
Ooh, you got the plan.
I got the ham.
Grill it up nice.
I'm a frying pan.
I said, hungry for breakfast, a yum, yum, yum.
Mum come downstairs and give me a cinnamon bun.
I had yogurt.
I sloped it in the bowl.
the bowl I tipped it up to the chippy top with some granola I put berries oh so scary
I gobbled it up so fast Jim Carrey smoking I love those eggs make them nice and yokey
and I eat them in my bed aw it's my Thursday my kids made me some bacon and eggs
get some in the day we go eat chicken and grits every day I want my eggs and grits
Talking that shit
When I pull up in the grip
Smoke my spliff
Every single day
Eating them food
But you see
She killed me though
All right
Hold on we got
What's the next one?
All right so yeah
The rest of these just
Improvising scenarios
Okay okay
Okay so like this is
But your edible just kicked in
Right
So this is you
It's you that just had the edible
Let's say we're
watching a movie at home or something and we're hanging out and you're just freaking out.
Okay.
Okay, here we go.
Wow, man, I haven't seen House of Dragons yet this season.
Yeah, man.
Is this a documentary?
No, baby, it's House of Dragons.
Yeah, and I mean, like, remember when dinosaurs could fly like that?
No, I think this is fictional.
I know.
Like Lord of the Rings?
Like, are you okay?
Am I part of the couch?
No.
What is wrong with you?
What's going on?
Oh.
What did you say?
What's going on with you?
Are you...
Did you eat those edibles?
Yeah.
How many did you fucking eat?
I ate the whole bag.
Are you fucking serious?
You can't eat the whole bag.
That's like a hundred.
milligrams. Wait, I can't breathe.
Oh my God, okay. I can't breathe. I'm blind. Now, see, first off,
you're going to need... I'm blind. I can't. My legs are couch. I can't walk. Okay,
hold on. Hold on. Let's get you some water. Let's get you some water. Let's get you some water.
Let's get some water. Just breathe. Is my tongue part of the couch?
Have some water. Have some water. This is fresh water. Nice and cold. Drink that. Wait.
It's just water? Big bro? Yeah. Are we on a podcast right now?
Imagine?
Okay, now we're on a date, but your stomach really hurts.
That's you now. You have to be the bad one.
And I got gas, yeah. All right.
I'm going to be the waitress, actually.
Hello, sir. Just table for one?
Yeah.
Okay, you can sit right here. Welcome to Chili's, by the way.
Home of the big, greasy, sloppy cheese.
You okay?
Yeah, I'm just really hungry.
Okay, great. Well, we can get you started with some deep-fried fritters.
You want anything to drink? We have big, sloppy, bubbly beer.
Oh, the fritters could be good.
Fritters in a bubbles?
Oh.
You okay, sir?
Yeah, just, it's hot in here.
I just, can we, can I get just a cold water?
I see what's happening here.
Yeah, you're nervous for your date, huh?
Actually, you got me.
That's it.
That's it.
I'm just, ooh, I'm just nervous for my date.
Oh, you're so nervous.
You're farting.
up a storm. That wasn't a fart. The chair did that. Oh, of course, sir. That was the chair.
It was squeaking on the floor. Okay. And right now, okay, I'm ready to fart all through this
fucking building, all in this fucking restaurant. If you don't get me my fucking ginger ale. Okay.
I'm going to shit my pants. I'm going to shit my pants right here right now. If you don't
get my fucking ginger ale. Wait a second. I'm sorry. I'm just, I'm gassy. I'm frustrated. I'm hungry.
Okay. I'm all the things. Okay. I'm going to go grab you those things. But
First, can I get a quick picture?
Because I'm a huge fan, Kid Cuddy.
All right, just is once.
That was a great twist.
That was a great twist.
It's like, it's you.
It was you.
You got to put your money where your mouth is.
If you're going to say that thing, you better own up.
And I would go into a Chili's and be like, hey, man, we got a problem.
When you were starting out, did anyone think you were Kid Cutie?
Sometimes.
Sometimes.
A lot of people thought I was British.
Why?
Day and Night, they just felt like my tone in that song was like...
Dayanite!
In it?
In it?
Oh, you blocks know it's diionite.
In it?
I kind of thought you were British too because you kept saying, in it.
Yeah.
I don't see where they got that.
Cheerio.
But you know what it is?
The first music video for Day and Night was the Crookers Remix, right?
And we filmed the video in London.
It was like the label that we did the remix on was a label that was based in the UK.
So I think that could be why, you know.
And then we did the music video, and I'm clearly have no accent,
but there was a lady in the video that was British.
So it's like I just see people just kind of probably just put it all together.
And it was like, oh, British girl, British record label.
Right, right, right.
You know what I mean?
Brittany Spears sometimes does that too, pretends to be British.
Oh, yeah.
So even if you pretended, you know, that would be.
People do it.
Madonna does it.
The more famous you get, the more you're allowed to just suddenly kind of be British.
I don't know if I can pull off a British accent.
Let me see.
Give it a go.
Let me see.
Hey, mate.
Hey, uh, no, that's Australian.
Hold on.
What's a saying that British people say?
Well, there's, in it, right?
In it?
I feel like it's easy to go like Cockney is the easiest.
Like, just to be like, if you just think of yourself,
Like a hungry orphan.
Roy.
And if you just look at that, this right there, you know, and there's still Australian.
Yeah, you want to be.
You want to be Australian.
What the fuck, man?
If you could just look at these right there.
That's the hardest accent to do, though, Australian.
Right?
Like, I feel like people have a harder time.
I would say Cantonese is a little harder.
But give that one to go if it's so easy.
Okay, you got me.
All right.
Cantonese is definitely more.
More aggressive.
What up, fam?
This came off my three-month tour.
And you know, my mind is always moving between music, films, fashion, art, and of course, Big Bro.

I think the last one was mean... My doctor's appointment.
I'm the doctor and I'm procrastinating to
tell you the news. Okay. Who's
the doctor? You. Okay. And I'm
the patient and I just want some fucking answers.
Okay. And we're in England.
Hello, sir, sit down.
I've got some news for you then, in it?
Well, you better fucking tell me what's up now, because I'm fucking struggling.
Are you from Australia?
By way of Australia, Sydney, yes, I am.
Well, welcome to London then, and I'm glad you came to get your first scan of your insides.
Well, I thought this was like when you stick the camera up my rectum and you look up there.
It was.
But your rectum's so loose, you didn't even notice it.
happening. Oh, so it happened already. That's right. Holy shit. Exactly. That is crazy. It is. Now,
I'm just going to put your scans up here so you can see what we... This is my bum. Oh, um... That's my
bomb. That's your bum there. Oh, no. Um, you know what? What you got plans this weekend?
Oh, you want to take me out? Well, I just think you should spend a lot of time with your family.
What? Wait, what? Just always go.
Good, isn't it?
Why?
You got kids?
I have four.
Tell them you love them.
Right.
Takein the Disney all that.
I don't understand.
What?
Why?
Just, no reason.
Just...
You're fucking with me.
You fucking...
You're fucking with me.
Let's see, I'm driving, but neither of us want to admit we're lost.
Okay.
Okay.
I just love the open road, don't you?
This is good.
I sure do, Dad.
Our first road trip together.
Yeah, yeah.
I know you said you'd never take a daughter on a road trip
because you like your son's better,
but this means a lot to me.
Look, Lisa, I love you just as much as I love the boys, okay?
Oh, I'm Nicole.
Nicole.
You always forget, Dad, but that's okay.
Well, I got twins.
You guys look the same, so.
Dad, wasn't Disneyland a few miles back?
No, it's up ahead.
We got a couple more miles ago at the GPS.
is swinging me around.
That's a game boy, dad.
No, that's a...
Oh, shit.
Okay.
Are you drunk?
No.
I wish.
No, I don't have any alcohol in my system.
But, look, Nicole,
just read a book or something
and get on your phone
and text with your friends.
I got this.
Daddy got this.
Okay.
I'm going to read out loud for Harry Potter.
All right.
When Guardian Loviosa said Hermione
Okay, stop it, stop it, stop it.
All right, look, Nicole, let's talk a little bit, huh?
Let's get to know each other a little bit more.
Like, I'm pretty sure there's some secrets
or something you want to tell your dad.
Okay, here's my first secret.
I'm worried and scared and stressed that you don't know where you're going.
As an adult, we have to always have a good sense of direction, okay?
And I know where I'm going.
Okay.
My second secret is, you know Dr. Walsh, my dentist?
Yes. Mom gave him a blowjob.
What the fuck?
All right. This is a good one.
Improvise us stuck in an elevator. Someone farts.
But we don't want to, we don't want to like let the other know that we know that they farted, right?
So it's kind of like trying to like pretend like it's all good, but it smells like shit.
Can't be stuck in this fucking elevator, man. This is some bullshit.
I'm claustrophobic.
And I'm the president of this company.
What the fuck is up with your elevators, man?
You guys need to get some maintenance up in here.
I'm sorry, what is your job here?
I am in the mailroom, okay?
I'm just entry-level person here.
Does it stink in the mailroom?
Is that where you brought that smell in?
No, it fucking smells great.
All right?
It fucking smells great in the mail room.
I heard that.
I don't know what you're talking about.
I see what's happening.
Ooh.
That sounded like a gunshot.
Maybe somebody's shooting on the house.
floor above us. Are you holding me hostage
with your farts so that I give you a raise?
I'm not farting. I don't know
what you're talking about. That must be you.
Yeah.
What the fuck was that sound?
There's another person in this elevator.
You didn't know what that sound was.
Sir, with the laptop?
How long have you been in this elevator?
And are you okay?
I've never done this.
Freestyle rap is improv. You're a wonderful
improviser.
Yeah.
You never did improv in, like, high school or anything like that?
No, not really.
Wow.
But you do comedy, like, acting and stuff.
Yeah, I do improv.
But, you know, it's different.
It's a little bit different, right?
Because this, like, we're being spontaneous and being in the moment and having to come up with something on the dime is so different.
When you're on a set and you're going to improv some shit, it's like usually not a joke or just,
kind of just adding more to what's already on the page and you already have some guidance,
you know what I mean?
Whereas this is like, we're just riffing.
I'm coming up with this shit all off the cuff.
Wait, so when you improvise on set, it's not normally a joke?
No, like, not for the stuff I've done.
Like, I very rarely do comedies.
I've done some.
But, like, most of the time it's like me riffing about something that's trying to finesse the dialogue.
Right, and make it sound like your own.
Real, you know what I mean?
Right, right.
You feel like me.
Right.
But I have had a chance to do some improv and comedy, but it's still, I'm guided, right?
So, like, I did trap.
I did this movie, right, with M. Knight Shama.
And in the movie, I played this gay pop star name The Thinker, right?
And me and M. Knight talked about the character.
We were like, look, I think it'd be funny if I have an assistant and I'm giving her a fucking hard time.
Like, I'm just, like, the worst human, right?
And we were on set and he was like, what could you be complaining about?
And I was like, well, I'm lactose.
And let's just say she got me the wrong fucking milk.
Is that true?
Yeah, I am.
I was like, I'm going to use the reality of me being lactose.
Wow.
Your method.
Yeah.
A method.
And I was like, well, I'm lactose.
So like, let's say she brings me the wrong milk and like I'm giving her shit about it.
Yeah.
In the scene, I just basically just give her shit about like, yo, you.
You get the wrong fucking milk.
You know, I almost shit my pants and all this shit, right?
So that was great because, like, each take he let me kind of, like, make different choices and have fun with it.
So that was, like, the closest I've gotten to, like, what we're doing here.
Yeah, yeah.
But, like, I said it was guided, where it was, like, we talked about it before.
Right.
And it was like, we're going to do something in this.
This is the kind of what we're aiming for.
And then we just want you to play in that space.
That's the best way to do it.
Because if it's too blue sky, sometimes it's, like, too hard to think of what it could be.
That's true.
But all the things you could say within the realm of, like, a shape.
get myself. There's so many gorgeous ways to say that. Exactly, exactly. And just the whole premise
of this like, okay, especially being in the business and seeing how some, you know, artists treat
their assistants and shit like that and hearing our horror stories, I was just like, oh, I know
this world. I've seen it firsthand. This is funny. And people that know me too in the business,
they know like I would never be this way to my assistant. Is your sister in here? Yes, he is.
Do you have a hard time dealing with the lactose intolerance over here?
Is there a lot of scrambling around for the correct oat milks?
Yeah, all the time, every day.
Hey, I'm going to give you my card, okay?
It's got to be lactate.
If you want to work for someone nice, give me a call after the show.
Okay, Sid?
No, I'm just kidding.
Cindy's the best.
Thanks, Sid.
Thanks, Sid.
So this is the last one.
This is a good one.
We're at the dispensary, and who's going to be
the butt tender. You're the butt tender that's too friendly and wants to explain everything first.
I think you should be the butt tender. Sure, sure. What's up, dude. Oh, dude, major, man. What a vibe.
Absolutely. You chilling? I'm good. I just want to pick up some shit, man. Cool, cool. So this one's
our fresh, greeny, beanie mushroom. This is an absolute fresh gourmet bouquet of total cauliflower
inspiration. It'll take you to the moon and back, man. You ever been to Jupiter? Mad, chill.
Okay, I just need something that just like gets my like mind and like my body on the same frequency.
Oh, you want a puff, puff surprise, Daddy.
So this one's a big puff puff dragon.
You take it in, you hold it for about 45 minutes.
Seems impossible, but it'll feel like you're underwater.
When you breathe it out, you'd be soaring to the high heavens, man.
You ever been to heaven?
Do you believe in Christ?
Is he your Lord and Savior?
Because this will take you there, dude.
Wow.
Wow.
Let me get a fucking ounce of that.
Yeah, this one's a fresh nuggy nudge.
I'll crush it up in the grinder and make it into itty-bitty microscopics, and then you can actually snort, inhale, or smoke.
Okay.
But for real, is Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior?
Yeah, he is.
Okay, awesome, man.
And this is going to be just the one for you.
Oh, okay, cool, cool.
I'm usually high in church all the time, so this is great.
Dude, I hear it, man.
The harps are sing a ring of danging, man.
Look, this one's on the house.
Spread the good news.
Nice.
A whole ounce for free.
Dear God.
Don't swallow it whole.
Oh, shit.
I hope you don't get fired for this.
Sick.
Oh, my God.
That's what dispensaries are like in heaven, probably.
Man, I used to go to the dispensaries.
It was the most fun experience because, you know, when I walk in a dispensary, it's like, oh, shit, it's you.
So you don't go anymore?
What do you mean when you used to go?
So much free read.
I went to this, the last dispensary I used to go to, it was one in Hollywood.
I forgot the block it was on.
But it was like, it wasn't, it was like a really like.
janky like it was it they had really good weed but it wasn't like you know med men or like some
big shit like that yeah it was like apartment building you buzzed and they buzzed you in and you went up
the stairs you walked into the door with the gate and shit no so this is like before it was legal yeah
no no it was legal because this is a real dispensary but this is like before it's like right when it
happened like before the med men and all the shit right all the big money and shit right so this
these people that were running this dispensary was just like
some young people that were just doing the shit, right, legally.
But it was great because every time I went there,
I remember the first time I went there,
they were like, can I see your ID?
We got to put you on the list.
And I was like, yeah, I don't want to give you my ID.
Has my personal information on there.
Oh, yeah.
I didn't even think about that.
I was like, is there any way we can kind of like bypass that?
Yeah.
And he didn't recognize me, then he looked up.
He was like, oh, oh, oh, what's up, Cuddy?
Yeah, man, fuck this shit.
Fuck your ID, man.
Whatever you want, bro.
All right, so this is Big Rex.
This is the part of the show where we ask rapid-fire questions about things you love.
Oh, okay.
What's one thing you know it about that might surprise people?
Foozball?
Foozbole.
I love Foozbo.
I suck at Foozbo.
I would love to play you then because I really love to win.
I'm a sore loser.
Why would you love to play?
I just said I suck.
That's not a challenge.
No, but that's how I like.
I want to shut someone out, you know what I mean?
That's a thrill for me.
But like, it seems like the hardest fucking game to play.
It's not.
Okay, I see why you're mad at it now.
You're grabbing it.
If you could go back in time and be in any comedy movie, what would it be and why?
Oh, dumb and dumber and I want to play both guys.
I wanted to be like parent shop where I'm Lindsay Louhan.
And I'm like adorable twins, but I'm just two dumb men.
Good answer.
And I'm still a man.
And they give me a prosthetic penis.
And you can see it in my pants and everyone's like, it's kind of big.
It's almost distractingly big on just one of the guys.
The other guy is a small dick and long hair.
But I have a chip tooth.
And I ride a motorcycle and all that.
I love it.
And I get to kiss Mary Swanson.
I love that.
I love this.
I would love it.
Man, you know, sometimes on the show we print out scenes from my favorite movies and like do them, right?
Do you love Dumb and Dumber?
I love Dumb and Dumber.
Me too.
I love Jim Carrey in general.
Yeah.
Me too.
Yeah.
He's so good.
Yeah, he's the illus, man.
And, you know, I discovered Jim Carrey on In Lim in Color back in the day.
Jennifer Lopez as well.
Yeah.
I discovered her booty back in the 80s.
Yep.
But it was crazy because watching Jim Carrey from those early years
and to where he's at now and how he went and did some dramas and some.
and some other things outside of comedy.
But he's my ultimate.
He's like my god in comedy.
And he paints now.
Yeah.
He's really good.
Yes, he is.
Have you seen that documentary that he did?
No.
It's like, it's not a documentary, but it's like seven minutes long, but it brings you
into his art studio.
Oh, maybe I did see that.
He makes like huge pieces, right?
Yeah.
Do you have like a weird little side thing that you do that people don't know you do?
Yeah, I paint.
Like you make porcelain dolls or something?
I paint.
Oh, you paint.
Yeah. It's kind of like a new thing.
I started maybe like,
two years ago.
Cool.
Yeah, and I always, it was something I always wanted to do, but I always just to kind of downplay
it like, man, I didn't go to school for that and I don't know how to, the first thing
about painting and, you know, I just, I could do so much other shit that I was just like, man,
chill out, you know, but I got to this place where I was like, man, I want to try something
new.
I was like, fuck it, let me just take a swing at this painting thing and it's the best.
Like I'm, I got like an art studio downtown where I just go.
Yeah, I've been there. There's, um, Kid Cutty's big exhibition of naked ladies, right?
No.
That's all, it's like the big boob series or something like that. Yeah, you're incredible.
Thank you.
I love the, like, nipple work you do.
I like to make it very detailed.
Yeah.
And, like, it's just kind of like, it's really a rich nipple.
Yeah, yeah.
As you just see and it's, the aola's are different sizes.
Right.
The aiole.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Does I say it right?
Aola.
I think it's the ariola.
Oh, ariola.
Aoli is like a mayo dip.
Yeah, yeah.
But I've seen the portraits where you do the aoli on the ariolas as well.
And those are very, very...
I'm like, the aolis are different.
Evocative.
I think you're talking about...
I'm such a man.
Oh, my God.
Those are just a man thing to do.
My wife is going to love that.
No, I honestly love dipping my French fries and some ariolas.
It's always the best.
Okay, top three S&L cast members of all time.
Oh, my God.
There's Kristen Wigg, Amy Poehler, Tina Faye.
Mayer Rudolph, I can't stop.
Great.
You want to know mine?
Kristen Wigg, Chris Farley.
This third one is tough.
It's between Adam Sandler and Tim Meadows.
Yeah.
Those two.
Yeah, so we each had to do four because there's just so many goodies.
Yeah, we should have did four.
Yeah.
We should did ten.
Yeah.
Because there's a lot.
Could have done 20.
Yeah, because there's a lot of fucking great people that came through that snow.
Yeah.
What's your rom-com supercast, limit to five people?
Who would be in your rom-com?
rom-com. Wait, I'm making a brand-new rom-com?
Brand-new rom-com. You come up with the cast.
There's going to be five people in it?
Well, you want to have more? You want just like one of those-
Well, it seems like a lot, because what I really need is a man and a woman. Of course, it's heterosexual.
Don't get any other ideas.
And a best friend, I guess, on either side. And then a villain. Sure. Okay.
So, of course, the villain should be Elon Musk.
Okay.
The man and the woman, if I genuinely want, who's two people I want to see Smooch that I've never seen Smooch?
God, the tin man from Wizard of Oz.
Okay.
Because, like, we've never seen him in a sex scene.
No.
And that's something we've all been kind of craving.
We want that.
Because it's like, what is going on down there?
What's down there?
It's like, he's not wearing pants, so we can technically see everything.
Yeah, and it's like, how does it work?
It's like a little, is it like an oil dip?
Like, is it like a dipstick?
Do you know what I mean?
Yeah.
Does he pull it out of his back pocket?
Because it's nothing down there.
Exactly.
So, and like, where's it come from?
Right.
And, like, you know, when you get your oil.
change at the, you know, when they, like, show you the dipstick and they're like,
does that look good?
And you're like, I don't know what I'm looking at.
You know?
Yeah.
He does that.
He like, whips it out and he's like, is this good?
And whoever's sleeping is, like, sure, I don't know.
I'll take it.
Yeah, I'll take it.
Okay, so, I'll take it.
This is going to be an R-rated one so that they can have sex.
Okay, I love R-rated.
Yeah.
And then he is going to have sex with, of course, the Long Island medium.
She can see dead people.
Okay.
She's just a fun personality.
Yeah.
So those two.
And then we have our villain.
and then each needs the best friend, so probably Mary Kate and Ashley.
And we'll put them on either side and we'll act like they never knew each other, right?
Because one's just his friend and one's her friend.
And then one day they run into each other and they're like, wait a second.
The fuck is going on.
And that's kind of like the B plot of the movie, is them figuring out that they were separated
at birth.
Right.
I love that.
Sundance.
You think so?
Yeah.
Oh my God.
No one has ever believed in me before.
If you think this could go to Sundance, like let's make it.
I see the vision.
Wow.
That means so much to me.
I want to be in the movie somehow.
I want to play like...
No, that's a deal breaker.
Sorry.
Come on.
Come on.
No, actually, I don't think it's going to work.
Come on.
You fucking came up with the idea on my show.
Okay, who do you want to be?
A fucking cab driver, a Uber driver.
In one scene.
Just one scene.
Okay, but you have to be believably British.
I'll get a dialect coach.
Okay.
I'll figure this out.
Because the movie is set in the heart of London.
And it's 1585.
So you're going to have to work on it.
I'm thinking present day.
I was thinking like an Uber.
No.
No. So you're going to have to work on it.
I'm definitely going to have to work on it.
Do you have a dream cast for your...
Let's see.
We're going to have Jessica Rabbit.
Men are all the same.
We're going to put her in there because I was like,
look, we've got to have the one girl that, like,
the one guy really wants bad, but she's not the right one.
Right?
So...
Oh, she's going to be, like, the false alarm at the beginning.
He's about to marry her.
It's like everybody, you're going to automatically think that she's
She's the one, right?
But she doesn't end up being the one.
But then they get engaged and she's like being a real bitch about it.
Yeah.
She's like, Gerald, the venue is blah, blah, blah.
And she's being so snarky that you're just like, this guy deserves better.
Yeah.
Yeah.
She's the worst.
She's technically the worst.
Yes.
Right.
But she's so hot because her little waist is so small.
She can't even eat a piece of pizza and her eyes are so heavy she can't see.
And her hair is so long she can't even walk.
Oh, dream girl.
You know the female equivalent of Jessica Rabbit for most women is Simba.
Simba.
He is like the utterly most fuckable cartoon character.
Really?
Wouldn't you agree?
Look, the only other woman in the room is frothing at the mouth.
Wow.
That's how we feel about him.
Okay.
Yeah.
Okay.
I can see that.
So I don't want to write your movie for you, but.
Maybe I just put Simba in there.
Thank you.
We put Simba in there, right?
So Jessica Rabbit, Simba.
Sorry, Simba.
I want to put Kerman in there.
Okay.
Kermit can be like a wingman probably.
Exactly.
Okay.
I like this oddball character.
and he finds somebody outside of the five, he finds someone.
Oh, that's fun.
Like, that's your B plot.
It's like, cute.
He's like, find someone.
And it's like, oh, this girl at the bar.
Oh, hey.
Yeah.
You like frogs?
Hey.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm green.
Yeah.
You know what I mean?
And then the girls like.
Demi Moore.
And then we can have Miss Piggy play this girl.
Oh, okay.
So it could be like.
Are Kermit and Miss Piggy together in your life?
They're not.
But it's like we force them to work together.
They don't, they don't fuck with each other more.
But we forced them to work together.
What's the love?
lore here because I'm not actually wasn't really raised in a Muppet household well apparently a couple
years ago I think like five six years ago they called the quits is that true so were they actually
together or was she like chasing him around and he wasn't interested in it well they were they were an item
but they used to bicker like she used to give him shit and Kermit just had enough right so like
they were an item but they weren't married were they common law no they weren't married wow okay good
Okay, so Kermit, Piggy, who's going to be your...
Jessica Rabbit. Yes, Jessica Rabbit, Simba.
Simba.
And then do you want to have a villain in there?
I do.
Okay.
I am going to go with Matt Berry from what we do in the shadows.
Oh, great.
So funny.
Okay, and now I get to be in it because you were in my movie.
Okay.
So what can I be?
You can be a janitor at the library.
I'm always getting typecast as this.
Favorite Canadian food that Americans don't understand.
I already know.
I know one.
You know the answer?
I know one.
Okay.
What is it?
Tomato chips or ketchup chips.
Oh,
God.
What's not to understand?
You did a french frying ketchup, don't you?
It's the same thing.
It's just already been combined for you.
Don't want it.
Have you ever had them?
Nope.
So you don't know.
They're the most delicious.
They're my favorite kind of chip.
You know what?
And I'm not just being like, you know.
I hear you.
A lot of Canadians swear about this.
They say it is the shit, right?
It is.
But I'm so fucking thrown off with like artificial ketchup flavor.
Oh yeah, because the barbecue is real from God.
Sour cream and onion is from the Bible.
It's like it's all chemicals.
It's ketchup, artificial ketchup.
What do you think ketchup is?
Like artificial flavor, ketchup flavor.
Okay, ketchup is just sugar and like essence of tomato.
It probably doesn't even have any real tomatoes in it anymore.
What is this powder flavor shit?
Oh, God, it's so good.
It is French fried dipped and ketchup in a chip.
It's the most normal.
It's not like, me defending this is not like an Australian being like,
Vechamore, it's actually good.
You know what I mean?
Because I feel like they do that.
And they're trying to be like, you know, everybody likes it.
It's like a brown paste you put on, like can't be that good.
But this is not, should not be a hard sell.
It's just.
Okay.
So this is what I'm going to do.
And I'm going to take you up on this.
Okay.
I'm going to try the ketchup chips.
And I'm going to do, we're going to do a follow-up.
I'm going to film myself trying that.
Okay, great.
And I'm going to post it on the page, on the IG.
And I'm going to tag you and I'm going to say, hey, Lisa, I'm fucking trying your chips.
Here we go.
Yes.
Okay, but can you make me one promise?
But I swear to God, if it's fucking gross.
It won't be.
I promise you.
Okay.
Next question.
How do you unplug?
I don't.
I never unplug.
I am plugged in.
In all times.
I'm just.
I'm just vibrating with electricity.
When I get in the shower, I get electrocuted.
I love it.
No, I unplug.
Right now I'm watching Married It First Sight.
Have you seen that?
Married at First Sight?
Yeah.
It's exactly what it sounds like.
Two people meet at the altar and they become betrothed.
So this is a reality show?
Yes.
Okay.
But I believe it's more legit than some of the others.
It's not as like heavily overly produced.
Okay.
And I believe in the sanctity of marriage.
Well, I'm really into, like I was obsessed with,
the, what's that one, that one show on Netflix that was really popping and it was like, they put people in the rooms.
Love is blind.
Love is blind.
Yes.
I was really obsessed with the first two seasons.
Wow.
So I love these kind of like these shows, right?
These reality shows, it's like a game or something.
Yeah, I saw somebody watch, like in a group of people, watch party, love is blind.
We got to do this.
Watch with the blanket over the TV.
And then when they do the reveals, you take off the blanket, you also get a reveal.
Isn't that fun?
Wow.
Because then you could be like, oh my God, he didn't sound like his voice at all.
We could be just as horrified as they are.
That's dope.
That's actually really a great idea.
Wouldn't that be fun?
And then when they do the watch parties, they all have the notebooks.
Like, you know in the pod sell, they all have notebooks?
Yeah.
So that they can remember, like, who's who and who's talking about what.
Yeah.
Could be fun.
That could be dope.
What are you doing this weekend?
Okay, I'm down.
Is your wife going to be home?
What's your address?
I'll give it to you.
Stop moving.
I got you.
I'll give it to you.
Okay.
What is your moonshot?
Your biggest goal?
goal or dream?
I guess what is my biggest goal or dream?
I feel like I'm already kind of doing it.
Like, because I'm from Edmonton, Alberta.
I didn't really know that this kind of job was possible.
So I feel like I'm kind of already do it.
Um, okay, September 23rd, I'm in brothers on Apple TV.
It's Matthew McConaughey, Woody Harrelson, and me.
No, there's lots of other amazing people like that.
But yes, that's coming out in September.
Okay, okay.
So check it out.
I know you're probably looking for a big name to draw you to it.
So here it is.
Lisa Gilroy.
Damn right.
We lock it in.
Excellent.
Thanks for having me.
Yeah, no problem.
Thanks for coming, man.
Hey, thanks for coming through the attic, y'all.
