We're going to be
talking about
our upcoming
2022
cryptid festivals.
We're getting some
hype for these guys
and we have
some really
cool people on the panel tonight. I'm excited. But let's let's start by having Mike share
his upcoming festival and then we'll get into the rest of the stuff just because Mike only
has a few minutes tonight. So Mike, how's it going, man? I appreciate you letting me come out
up here and let us talk about our event in Rochester. It's actually in Geneseo, New York,
this weekend. We've got the Rochester Parifest. And I'm going to be running.
in a panel, a Bigfoot panel with Steve Coles and Kenny Irish and myself.
And we're going to be talking, you know, all things, Bigfoot and some cryptid stuff,
but we also got some UFOs and some paranormal stuff.
But all the proceeds are going to the Veterans Outreach Center in Rochester, New York.
So I appreciate you.
Let me give them a shout out.
It's actually Saturday and Sunday in Geneseo, New York.
and I might, for some of the folks that are still floating around on Sunday night,
might take them out for a little big foot hike after.
But Christy's also going to be over there doing some mediumship things.
But we're going to be definitely talking about the Pink Hara experiment and a lot of other, you know,
cryptid stuff.
There's going to be a couple other folks, some naked and afraid folks that have had some cryptid experiences.
So I appreciate you letting me speak about our little event.
again, it's the Rochester Arafest.
Dude, that is super exciting.
Yeah, so this coming weekend, Mike, correct the 26th and the 27th of March.
Is that that's what you just said, correct?
That is correct.
And is there a cost to get into that?
It's $15, and again, the proceeds are going to the Veterans Outreach Center in Rochester.
Perfect.
And we've got some great, you know, turnout in past of years to really help the veterans.
veterans in our area of New York, Western New York.
So a lot of great speakers.
White King from Ghost of Shepherds Town will be there.
There's some Krista Chesery, the Ghost Boyage, and a CO, a bunch of mediums.
And we're going to be talking to Dan class, too.
A few Pug Wedgy guys.
He has the haunted Hensdale House, and they've had sightings up there.
So always good to hear Dan talk about, you know,
the little creatures up on the property that he owns up there.
Wow, I got to talk to that guy.
It sounds like I need to get his name.
But for listeners, if you're near Geneseo, New York,
I mean, this is an incredible opportunity for you to talk to someone,
to meet someone, Mike, who is on the cutting edge of Bigfoot research
with this UV light research that's going on for Sasquatch Legend Meet Science 2 in the future.
I mean, definitely get yourself over to Geneseeo.
New York, but thank you for sharing that, Mike.
Thank you very much, guys.
And sorry I had to run, but I'll listen for a little bit while I'm getting my project done for this evening.
All right.
Super, super, Mike.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
So let's, on the panel tonight, we've got a lot of friends with us.
And I'm just going to run through them real quick, just so you all know who's here.
So we got, of course, Greg from all dot, dot, da, weird, and he heads up Cryptocasters.
he'll be sharing. We've got Asher's
fantastic cryptid researcher. You probably
heard about her to do with
man, all sorts of things. Mothman
and Wendigo. And she's
all over the place. Of course, on Wednesdays,
we talk weird. And I believe
Monster Talk is
the new great cryptid
podcast that you got going on.
Monster Radio. Monster Radio.
Yay. Hooray. I did it. Sorry, kids.
Jonathan Dodd, of course,
one of the most amazing cryptid artists that we've got.
So his viewpoint about festivals is going to be awesome.
And, of course, we've got Lisa as well from Cryptic Comforts,
and she goes to all the festivals.
So I'm really looking forward to getting her viewpoint about the different festivals we've got going on this year.
But let's start out with, and I'll be, of course, sharing about my beloved Van
VAMUTER Visitor Festival. I've got some info and a special message from that festival as well. So I'll be talking about that tonight as well. But Greg or Asher's, would either of you want to go first with what you prepared? Go ahead, Greg. Oh, okay. All right. Well, I basically just went to the event page and got info there. I talked to one of the organizers as well.
So it's on good authority, my information.
I'm, of course, referring to the August 6th event in Morgantown, West Virginia,
Crypted Bash 2.
That's right.
The second annual Cryptid Bash.
That's happening once again at Morgan Town Art Party.
and this time there'll be events at the Morgantown Art Bar as well.
Upon researching the Moth Boys event page for Crypted Bash 2,
I discovered that already there are 150 responses for Cryptid Bash for attendance
and 45 of those are confirmed going.
So it's on Facebook, so it's happening.
Some of the confirmed guests, who we all know, we should know anyways,
on the Facebook, the Mock Boys' Crypted Bash 2 event page,
some of the people are
Lisa who's on the panel with me from Cryptid Comfort
Kenzie from the Crypto Chats podcast
and Manic Pixie Dream Goals
Heather Mosier and Seth Breilov
of Small Town Monsters have confirmed they're going
Risa Reyes
who was a previous guest
on the Bigfoot Society
podcast and a regular
to Clubhouse as well.
She does a wonderful
taxidermy work and she's a
hairdresser. You can find her at
split endings on Instagram.
Danner,
Safer Spray. He is
conjured dust designs. He's confirmed he's
going. Erie Eric
and Creepy Carey
from Erie
Pennsylvania.
the Bob Ross of Bigfoot.
They'll be, they are confirmed going.
Our friend Jordan from the Camp Fire Tales podcast.
Also on the panel here, Jonathan Dodd has confirmed he's going.
Easton Hawk and Ron Lanham from Wild and Weird West Virginia has confirmed he's going too.
It's a pretty unique event.
Oh, actually, you know what, one more thing.
Mr. Sam Shearren told me personally he's going to be there.
And I'm telling everyone that I'm going to be there.
Whoa.
Be there.
So this will be, Crypted Bash is going to be the first cryptid event to feature an all-female, non-binary, and queer lineup of speakers.
So there's going to be no old white dudes.
yammering on.
Yay.
Crypted Bash 2 is sponsored by
Small Town Monsters.
Strange Days Zine.
Crypted crate.
Loudmouthedreads.
Greenbrier Valley Brewing Company

and Travel Channel's Alien Highway.
And Rowan Banks is a tarot reader,
psychic and spiritual coat.
There's also live
music at Crypted Bash 2.
And
the three featured
musicians so far are
Jay Hatfield who
was recently on a cryptids
and cocktails with Mothboy Matt.
We also have
Emmy of the Mountains who's
an artist from Morgantown
and Craig
Philip who's also from
Morgan Town, West Virginia. Greenbrier Valley Brewing Company will be there, serving up
amazing craft beers, including Mothman Black IPA, Bat Boy Black Lager, and Braxie Blonde Ale,

So that is in August in Morgantown, West Virginia at Morgantown Art Party and Art Bar.
And that is August 6th, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Be there.
They have a Facebook event page and an Instagram where you can catch updates on the Moth Boys.
Sorry, make that clear.
That's it.
It's cryptid class two.
Fantastic job.
That is amazing information.
Thank you, Greg.
And I am, I mean, that's amazing.
You're going to be able to be there as well, Greg.
That's huge news.
I'm excited about that.
That is very cool.
I noticed I wanted to say it again, if there are people in the audience that also have
a cryptid festival or event in 2020 that they would want to share in this, they're
welcome to raise their hand and come up on stage.
It will be recorded for the Big Photo Society podcast, but you are welcome to come up.
And, hey, look who wants, who's coming up?
It's my friend Joe Perdue.
How's it going, buddy?
We'll get to you in a few minutes, all right?
That was my way of saying, hey, Joe, if you want to come on up, let's do it.
Lisa, Jonathan, you guys are you going to have any special things planned for Cryptid Bash?
Any maybe unique merch you've got?
Not to put you on the spot, but...
I am planning on doing a special kind of swank bag.
Just it'll have my book, my Steffy, and a few other squawk-related items,
and that'll be kind of a sort of special thing that I do a limited edition of,
like I do with the Van Meter and other things.
events. So I'll do squank for that one.
That is amazing. That squank book is going to
just rock the world. Jonathan, go right ahead, man.
Yeah, sorry. Keep interrupting everybody.
I'm going to be doing posters again.
So the poster for Crypted Bash 1 was
Braxie. Crypted Bash 2 is the grafted monster.
So come out and get your
Crypted Bash 2 posters from my table.
Fantastic.
I would dare say it's cryptid bash is quickly and almost has already become the event to go to for the next generation of those into cryptozoology.
The lineup this year is fantastically amazing.
I mean, does anyone else have any other thoughts about Cryptid Bash before we head on?
to the next event.
He's going to rock.
Oh, yeah.
It's going to effing rock.
Couldn't have said it better myself, Greg.
That's my thoughts.
Asher's, would you be cool
with presenting your festival?
Yeah.
Damn, Greg.
I don't know how I can follow that.
You did such a good job on the detail.
Yeah, Mothman,
September 17th and 18th.
That's really,
that's all that's really been released so far.
No, there actually hasn't been speakers announced yet.
I do have insight into some of the people who might be there,
who of course are always, you know, great people to listen to speak to.
Everybody who's anybody usually is at the Mothman Festival, you know,
participating in some type of way, you know, which of course happens in Point Pleasant, West Virginia,
every year.
They have not had the festival in the last two years.
And so this is actually, I mean, for me, it's a very personal event, you know, as everybody knows, Mothman is my thing.
But that is actually when I officially started my job as an investigator was Mothman Festival 2019.
So it's always an anniversary date for me.
Of course, I will physically be there.
Probably won't be participating this year, but I'm going to be there.
And they have all kinds of cool stuff.
Tons of people come out.
You know, they dress up.
They do the bus tours, which I hear Jeff has actually started the bus tours back up again.
He was only doing them during the festival for a very long time, but now he's back to doing them regularly.
You know, tons of really neat things.
It's fun for the kids.
It's fun for everybody.
You won't meet a lot of locals from Point Pleasant that day, but you'll meet everybody else in their mother.
So that's really all I have to say about it.
Fantastic.
I love watching.
Jacob the Carpet Bagger
has some amazing videos about
the Mothman Festival. So if you're listening to this and you're like
I wish I could see what it is like. Hey, you can.
If you look up Jacob the Carpagger on YouTube,
you can see a really cool Mothman Festival walkthrough
he did. And also how he focuses on
Cryptid Comforts, plushies for three minutes,
and never says the name Cryptic Comforts.
But that's fine.
Did he really? I didn't even know that.
Yeah, dude. It was nuts. I was like,
yelling at my laptop the whole time. I was like, say cryptic comforts, say crypticomfors.
Where he actually says my name, but I didn't, I've not seen his mothman video. I'll have to look at
that. Yeah, it's pretty good. It's hilarious. It's good stuff. I have no idea.
That is so fun. It's on, it's on one, it's on the list of, of, uh, festivals. I'm definitely
going to get to someday. There's, uh, I mean, just, I've never been there before just to have the
experience of going to Point Pleasant. I am pumped for sure. Any other thoughts about the Mothman
Festival? Now is the time. You can go ahead and thrill those in. It is for sure. One of my
top events of the year, like both financially and fun. I've missed it the last couple years.
So I'm really, really, really excited to get back there and do it again. And, um,
I expect to see all of you there.
Lisa, do you mind if we, let's stay with you for a bit?
So, you know, you're very unique as, you know, you're ahead of cryptic conference and you
are literally traveling, traveling all over the country to different cryptid and horror festivals.
And like, are there any others that you can share that we might want to know about that are
coming up for this year?
So this year has actually been a little trying because a lot of events happen to be in the same weekends.
So there's a lot of overlap.
All these events that I want to do that are on the same day means I have to pick and choose.
And then I have like a six-week gap between Crypted Bash and Mothman Festival that I need to fill in events.
And I can't seem to find ones that I want to do.
So working on that.
But I do have, I'm doing two tours this year rather than one.
So I'm going to start in April at the Ohio Bigfoot in Salt Fork.
So I'll be doing that one.
And then the week after that, I'm doing a couple of smaller events in East Nashville, just near where I stay.
So it'll be an East Nashville night market and then a little flea market during the day.
The week after that, I head to Illinois for Midwest Monster Fest, halfway to Halloween event.
The weekend after that, I'm up in Rhinelander, Wisconsin at the HODAD Heritage Festival.
And then on June 11th, we've got the Wyethville UFO Festival, and I'm really excited about that.
Robin and Brian Amnostic Novelty Co are actually putting that one on.
And I think it's going to be an amazing event.
lots of great vendors are signed up for that.
I had to cancel both of my June and July events on the West Coast because I'm moving.
So I've got to sell my house and all that stuff.
So I canceled the Meta Line Bigfoot Festival, which is sad because I really had a great time there last year.
So if anyone's West Coast, that's an amazing event to hit up.
Bob Gimlin was there and Russell Accord.
So it was that kind of crew, and we had a good time.
And then I also canceled on the Oregon Bigfoot Festival, which Cliff and Bobo are usually at that one.
I think Bob Kinlan's going to be at that one this year, too.
This is Sophia Bush from Work in Progress with Sophia Bush.
And now a break from our sponsor, Miracle Grow.
Let's be real.
We're all feeling a little digitally distracted and time-starved lately.
We're craving real connections and ways to unplug.
and honestly, gardening is the ultimate way to do this.
It isn't just about plants.
It's about trading the digital noise for a quiet win.
As you pour your energy into helping something grow,
you're pouring a sense of calm and connection back into yourself too.
If you're in an apartment or you've never even touched a shovel,
don't let self-doubt stop you.
With 75 years of expertise,
Miracle Grow takes the stress out of the process
and makes it pure joy.
And let me tell you what, I can confirm this from the garden I love spending time in outdoors in Los Angeles
to my little potted plants where I grow herbs indoors in New York.
I love working with plants.
And I love Miracle Grow because whether I'm doing something in the soil or potting something in the apartment,
Miracle Grow takes the best care of my plants.
So my plants can help take care of me.
And here's the big secret.
Most people think water and sunlight are enough, but no, no, your plants actually need more to truly thrive.
Whether it's starting with the right soil foundation or giving plants the boost they need to stay vibrant with plant food,
our friends at Miracle Grow have all the essentials to make growing simple and stress-free.

So I had to cancel that as well, which is a bummer because I've done it every single year that it's ever happened.
But I will be moving to Colorado and then getting back on the road for Cryptid Bash, August 6th.
And then, like I said, I have a nice gap in there of six weeks, I think, without an event.
And then I'm doing the Mothman Festival, of course.
and then the week after that is the Van Meter Visitor Festival.
Now, if you're not going to be a Van Meter Visitor Festival, which, you know, you should be.
But if you're not, there's another event happening.
There's actually two other really good events happening that week as well.
There's Radfest in Kentucky that Holly and Jason are putting on, which is going to be a lot of fun.
It's kind of an 80-themed event.
and then there's another cryptid event that Cryptid HQ is putting on that week.
So, yeah, lots of overlap, unfortunately, but I'm not missing the Van Meter Visitor Festival for anything.
Stay tuned for more Bigfoot Society.
We'll be right back after these messages.
Oh, heck yes.
So that is kind of my list of events at this point, but like I said, I'm still looking to fill in most of August and September.
So if anybody has any suggestions for that time frame, let me know.
But yeah, I'll let Jeremiah talk more about the Van Meter Visitor Festival because that's his baby.
But I will say it is my second favorite event to do.
Dang, that's high praise from someone who goes to so many festivals.
It comes in just behind Mothman.
And the fact that it's a one-day event and I did that well speaks very much.
volumes and it's a smaller event but it's awesome everyone who came out was super nice and just
energetic and there to shop and just have a good time and just such a good vibe all around it was
so much fun hey that's iowa nice for you that's what they call it uh lisa thank you for sharing
all that thank you jonathan um you you're uh you're up next did you have any uh
things or festivals that you were looking forward to going to this year or anything that you wanted to share, buddy?
Yeah.
I think actually Lisa might have already mentioned it, but the Whitefield UFO Fest that's happening on June 11th from 10 to 6 p.m. in Whitefield, Virginia.
And Mystic Novelty Company is putting that on.
So I'm really stoked about that.
I think it's going to be really cool.
I didn't know Lisa was going to be there, so that's going to be awesome.
I'm so I'm stuck to see you.
Also, I have Smoky Mountain Bigfoot coming up in July.
It's July the 23rd in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
I've never done an exclusive Bigfoot event yet, so I'm stoked to, you know, show up and see what that's all about.
Hoping my stuff, you know, my stuff is primarily Bigfoot, so I'm hoping it'll do well there.
And then, of course, Cryptabash in August.
mothman in September.
I'm not officially vending at mothman.
I definitely want to go, though,
just to be a part of the scene there.
And then November is CryptidCon again.
So that's coming right back around as well on November 19th and 20th in Lexington, Kentucky.
That's all I got.
Oh, fantastic.
Dude, I hear that that Smoky Mountain Bigfoot Days or whatever it's called gets wild.
Like last year, they had a,
I think they had Sacksquatch there.
Either that or a slash squash.
Yeah, I didn't get to go to that, but it was cool.
Maybe they had both, yeah.
Anyways, wild stuff in the cryptic circuits with these music playing saskwatches out there.
Good stuff.
Mr. Joe, you have been super patient, my friend.
But what do you have to share with us today?
Well, definitely have a announcement, I guess.
some of you guys might have know
some of the listeners might have known if they seen the original
Mothman 2020 lineup
of speakers. It's
no secret. Ron Landma, myself
will be speaking at this year's Mothman.
We're super excited about that.
The weird thing,
normally we keep a roster
of shows like Lisa
and we're all over the place
generally. But this
year was kind of weird because we had to
essentially cut it all down to only shows that we were speaking at because we were getting a lot
of invites to come and present at different shows, which is awesome. And it's, guys, it's, it's,
withville, Virginia. I know it's, it looks hard and difficult for some of y'all non-apalachian folk,
but it's withable. But, but yeah, that's going to be a good time. We're also going to be speaking there,
then there is the Flatwoods Monster Festival.
I think it's going to be happening again this year.
Andrew hasn't announced it yet, but it's going to happen.
He told us to reserve the dates and keep them open,
so there's not been an official announcement yet,
but it's going to be the same weekend as before.
Then the week after Mothman, Ron and I are going to be at a Pennsylvania bigfoot event.
with Eric Altman, he's the host, and we're going to be presenting there.
Man, we got so much stuff.
But I want to address our shows real quick because we do have two events coming up.
We've got the, of course, wild and weird con is happening again.
That's going to be at the same location we were at last year and the same location we had previously reserved
that apparently people showed up for in 2020.
But we all know what happened there.
and we've got that wild and weird con is extremely researcher oriented there's workshops that take place
throughout the entire day as well as boots on the ground researchers who are not the boots on the
ground researchers that you're going to see on TV we want to put emphasis on people who are really
really out there putting their nose to the grind and and just beaten foot and getting the
information out there to people so that's who we
invite to speak with Wild and Weird Con. And of course, vendors, we've got amazing vendors. A lot of
the vendors from last year are coming back this year. We're going to open up a little bit more
space than what we had last year's. We can bring a few more vendors in as well. Then the, like I said,
the workshops, we're going to teach people. I think we've got five workshops planned for that day.
And that event's being sponsored in part with creature replica. I don't know if you guys know
the toy company that makes all the really cool Bigfoot and Rougaroo and Gene
St. Jean who makes all of the stuff for Small Town Monsters Kickstarter, the statue kits.
Those guys are actually sponsors for the event as well as the Ohio Squatch Project.
So if you guys have seen any, and this is for both of our events actually,
but if you guys have seen the on Finding Bigfoot, the tree knockers that they use,
Glenn Adkins from the Ohio Squatch Project is a guy who actually makes those
squatch sticks and so the official squatch stick will be at both of those joints.
You'll also be able to catch him at the Ohio Bigfoot Conference coming up here
in a couple weeks too. We're going to be right beside him, raising all kinds of games.
It's going to be a blast. Then we've got coming up on May the 21st.
We have the Woodbigger Jamboree, which is just a big old Bigfoot.
party and we're actually doing this in conjunction with the county department of tourism with the
county school system we're doing a big massive fundraiser for the local schools there they're going to be
present doing a bake sell and selling pepperoni rolls which are you know west virginia godson
and then uh we're also going to be doing workshops there as well so it's it's going to be a
big time for that one is completely free to attend wood booger is completely free to attend
vendor spots are going to be all over the place, and the vendor spots for that show are cheap,
and we're still taking vendors as well. So if you guys want to put in an application for any of those shows
for either Woodburger, Jamboree, or Wild and WeirdCon, you can do that at www.wild and Weirdwv.com.
Then just go hit the vendor application tab, and you can just let us know whatever you want from that point.
and we'll get back in touch with you.
The big thing with Woodbigger is that we're actually using it to teach the school system about paratourism.
And next year, we're working with the schools in Boone County, West Virginia to actually host their own event and teaching them how to embrace their local war and show them how this could be an economic gain for them and for their community, similar to what Mothbush.
has done for Point Pleasant and Mason County.
So we're just going to work with the kids.
It's all really about the community there for that show.
It's hilarious because we are probably going to net zero at that show, which is,
which is awesome.
It's most from a business perspective, a lot of folks are like, oh, God, that sounds terrible.
But this is all about the community and teaching them how to continue to utilize what's
surround them and what they can do with a little bit of creativity and some event organization
skills.
Man Joe.
That was some awesome new.
I'm glad that you, uh, that you came over for this.
This is great.
I'm, I'm pumped about, uh, all that stuff you got going on.
And especially the news about like you'll be able to start, uh, making that presentation for
the schools like that is just so cool.
I mean, yeah, we've actually been working with the schools for,
almost a year now. So the Woodburger Jamboree, we told him like, look, this is, we're going to, we're going to host this one. This will be a yearly event that we'll do in your community. But we're going to teach you how to hold an event and how to host an event. And then we will host it at your school on the football field or baseball field, wherever you're going to put it. And that will be your event that will be your own. And you guys can take complete ownership of. And we'll just be there, you know, keeping you in in the bounds. Like if you go bowling with the bumper guards.
very cool very cool thank you for sharing all that info I wish I could be at the
woodburger event so like that was one that I was really bummed out that it happens on the
same week as the Hodak Heritage Festival because that sounds like such an amazing event
and I really hope that maybe maybe next year I can do it because it sounds really
really cool well hey if you can't even do woodburger next year you might be able to
squeeze in the date with the school and do their event, which would be even cooler than you
doing our event, in my opinion.
Yeah, that would be awesome.
If I could get involved with that in any way, I would absolutely love that.
Oh, yeah, we'll be in touch for sure.
Then just to touch on one more event, we've got a, this isn't so much a, like, festival, so to
speak, but it is a branch of what we do with Wild and WeirdCon. It's an event where we do a big
workshop. It's a full day workshop followed up by a night investigation where we teach you all the
ends and outs of field work, how to properly collect data, how to run sound systems, like recording
systems, how to use thermal imaging, how to use all of the technology that's out there at our
disposal and how to implement that into a real-world scenario, rather than just running around in the
woods, beating on trees and screaming into the night. And those are our wild and weird workshop
series that we put on. We've got two of them that are floating right now, and the dates haven't been
nailed down super, super tight yet. But just keep an eye out over at the wild and weird page.
we're going to be putting up solid dates for both of those one will be at canal state forest in west virginia
and then the other one will be at the menongahela national forest in richwood west virginia
oh super super cool like uh if if i was primarily a bigfoot researcher i would be figuring out a way
to make my way over to one of those because that that's where all the the info is for sure well guys
I have, we've come to the part where I'm going to share mine and saddle up because,
well, I'm going to talk about CrypticCon a little bit too.
So let's start out with CrypticCon.
So Crypticom this year is November 19th through 20th, 2020,
North Lexington, Kentucky at the Clarion Conference Center.
They have opened up tickets so you can buy tickets now to go to the conference.
conference. If you're into the
a lot of the TV cryptozoology
personalities, definitely keep an eye on CryptidCon
because usually that's, you know, last year they had
I believe Renee was there, Cliff,
Matt Moneymaker, we had the
Mountain Monster guys, all those guys were there and a ton of vendors
as well. They also have, you can get us
special ticket where you go on like a bigfoot hike or something something like that so definitely
check out crypticcon.com but let's talk about my my bestest best festival that i love a van meter
visitor festival as lisa everything lisa said is true the people there extremely nice there's
amazing people there uh everyone is just having a good time the towns people are just psych to see
people bring in van meter visitor swag because they don't have a lot of that to begin with.
Last year, we had people like David Weatherly.
We had, let's see, who else?
Ken Gearhard.
We had all sorts of people there.
You got Nash Hoover hanging out.
You got Jay Pachochin, Bigfoot guy from Wisconsin.
And there are some great vendors there.
That's where I got to meet Lisa from Cryptofer.
That was such a fun time.
but I will let you know it's September 24th it's a one-day event last year so it's been going on
for a few years now and it usually takes place in the town of Van Meter where it's downtown
you know on the old Main Street but this year they're they're kind of kicking it up a bit
so on the outskirts of Van Meter just a few minutes away the town's not big there is a
very nice veteran center so it's actually going to
to be a inside festival where if it rains, we're not hosed.
The other really cool thing that I want to announce is there's actually, there's going to be
Wi-Fi because Viameter is so remote, no one has cell service there usually.
So this year, which would be awesome, we will have access to the Wi-Fi at the Veterans
Center, which is awesome.
they are still
trying to figure this out
but it isn't a veteran center
so there is a bar
I don't know if there will be a bar there
but cross your fingers if that's your
thing we could get crazy
but yeah I will be vending there
so it's one of the events that I'll be
there actually it's my one
event as Bigfoot Society
CryptidCon I'll just be attending
as a guest or as a attendee
rather but Van Meter visitor
I will be hanging out there.
So definitely, listeners, if you're there and, you know, stop by, say hi, please.
There were some listeners I didn't get to say hi to last year because I couldn't stay at the booth.
And my wife was like, you got to stay at the booth.
People are missing you.
But I'm not going to say what it is.
But I will say that I partnered with Jonathan Dodd.
And for an exclusive design for the Van Meter Visitor Festival,
and Jonathan, I want to say what it is so bad
because when I show what that design is,
it is going to,
I think that it's just going to blow away the community.
Like, my wife isn't super big into cryptozoology.
Like, she likes cryptozoology.
And she saw it and she's like, well, that is really cool.
Like, she was a big fan of it.
So that should tell you something.
Yeah, I can't wait either, dude.
That's going to be so cool.
Oh, my goodness, dude.
I can't even say anything.
I can't say anymore.
It's the hardest thing to just shut my mouth about it.
But the Van Meter Visitor is a festival,
is, of course, a festival all about the cryptids
seen just west of Des Moines,
the winged cryptid with a light coming out of a horn on its head.
And it's a day festival all about,
there's a lot of cryptids last year.
There's also a heavy UFO.
If you're into UFO in alien presence,
We've got people there like Zelia Edgar from the tinfoil hat channel on YouTube.
She's great.
She's a great up-and-comer.
But before I forget to do it, I do have a special message from the Van Meter Visitor Festival.
And we'll close with this, unless there's some closing thoughts after mine.
But I did say, hey, do you guys have any thoughts that I could share with my audience tonight?
And they're like, sure, we're excited to be in a new indoor.
location for our vendors and guest speakers this year.
Steve Ward,
great dude, will be back to
MC of the guest speakers and Chad Lewis,
oh yeah, is returning to
lead the always popular walking tours.
Guest speakers will be announced over the next
couple months, so keep an eye
on the festival's Facebook page
for all festival information as it
becomes available. And I can't
wait to see what
speakers they have this year.
They are picked out by
Chad Lewis and Kevin Lee Nelson.
you know we're going to have some good cryptozoology guys there and gals and anyone that they pick.
It'll be rock and roll.
So my friends, this has been a really fun chat.
I'm excited, even more excited about all the festivals coming up.
Any closing thoughts before we shut down the room for tonight?
I just want to say that what I would like to see someone do is a squawk fest in Pennsylvania.
So if anybody would like to partner on making that happen, hit me up.
I've been desperate to make this a thing.
So, but I don't actually know how to throw an event.
So just throwing that out there for anyone who would like to do that with me.
Lisa, I'm telling you, this is true.
We were talking about this earlier, but literally my, I had a video on the Squawk on the Bigfoot Society TikTok channel.
it's gone viral because the
the audience for the squawk is rabbit
they're crazy for the squawk
it's over 100,000 viewers
or views it's crazy
so
I have to have the squawk video with my
buck
exactly
exactly
well all
any last chance for closing
thoughts and if not
we will have a great night one more chance
I'm just super excited to see everybody again
You know what it's it's nice to have an internet presence of some sort
But I'm just really thankful that there's actually things for all of us weirdos to to gather at and be weird together and I think it's beautiful
Can it said it better myself
Well Greg Lisa Asher's Jonathan Joe
And Mike thank you so much for being on the panel with me tonight
and everyone who is listening,
I'll have to listen to this later
and put all everything in the show notes
so people can get to the right festivals
that they heard about.
But thank you so much for hanging out with me tonight, guys.
Have a good one.
Bye.
Bye.
Stay well and weird, guys.
