Starting point is 00:00:00 I got the dog with me. He was still just trembling, and I'm sitting there with my knife. Stayed knife in front of the tenant with the kids in it. Two witnesses describe incidents near Forks, Washington, separated by more than 30 years. One began at a rental house bordering the woods, and the other at a Ho River campground. What was moving through the darkness around them? I'm Jeremiah Byron, and this is Bigfoot Society. All right, Bigfoot Society.
Starting point is 00:00:25 Welcome back to another episode. I've got the privilege of talking to an individual, his name is Joel, about something that happened extremely recently, or it happened something that happened recently on the western coast of Washington and the Olympic Peninsula. You may have seen this account reference to in a recent Bigfoot Society. Real or short or TikTok, but thankfully, Joel was, open to actually coming on the show to share what happened and we can discuss that a bit.
Starting point is 00:01:04 But welcome to the show, Joel. How are you? I'm doing good. Thanks for having me. Fantastic. I have really wanted to talk to you about this. It is a fascinating account. There's definitely some discussion. So feel free to take us back to when this happened. where it happened, how you guys got in that situation to begin with, all that good stuff. Yeah, it's actually kind of an interesting story. So, as I told you, we're from the Midwest, and we were going out there for a family vacation at the end of this, just this August here.
Starting point is 00:01:43 So we flew out there. We went to Mount Rainier for three days prior to going to the Olympic Peninsula. So I went to Mount Rainier, spent three days there, drove over to Port Angeles, actually, where we were going to stay at a rental property, that actually ended up going south as soon as we got there. So we were kind of left scrambling, trying to figure out where to go and what to do. We all pulled up our phones. It was, again, it was me and my family,
Starting point is 00:02:13 and then my mother and brother, we were all out there for the vacation. I'll pull up our phones. We're trying to find a place in the area to stay at. I found a place in Forks. Didn't really know much about it at the time, obviously. I was looking on the app. They're giving a really good discount just because it was last minute.
Starting point is 00:02:32 So we decided to go ahead and book that place in Forks. So we loaded the car back up, drove over to Forks, and got to the house where we were going to spend the next three days. We were just going to go around hiking in Olympic National Park and then also just along the coast there, Pacific Coast. So we got there, and the house is very nice, which is kind of... Sounds weird, but that's kind of one of the first things that just kind of intrigued me is that like this house is relatively new, maybe five, six years old. Extremely nice. Big property right on the edge of town.
Starting point is 00:03:11 So when I say that, right behind the house, literally directly behind, there was nothing but woods. So just acres and acres of woods, which led up into the Olympic National Park Mountains. I don't know how far it went back, but it looked like it's on a map pretty darn far back. That was the first thing that I thought was really cool. We brought our stuff in. Everybody got their rooms. We went into the backyard, and there's a hot tub in the backyard. Huge backyard fenced in.
Starting point is 00:03:38 I know I sent you a few pictures. I don't know if you had a chance to look at them or not. But the very first thing that I thought was very unique was a patch of backyard. So again, the backyard is probably like a half an acre. and on the very backside is just a bunch of trees. And that obviously would go into the woods. There was a spot at the trees where it was almost, it wasn't cut out. It was like just a spot where nothing grew.
Starting point is 00:04:08 Along the whole back of the yard, there's obviously trees, but then there was just blackberry bushes everywhere. It's huge like patches of blackberry bushes. This one spot, there was nothing. And it led into the woods. and all of the grass around it was matted and bent and kind of stamped down. And it was probably about eight feet wide. And then it kind of went over a small hill, dipped back down into the woods.
Starting point is 00:04:33 I'll kind of get to that in a minute because I did kind of try and walk back in there. So that was the first thing that I was like, oh, that's really weird. Me and my son have been hunting. Well, I've been hunting for like 15, 20 years. My son, he has been hunting with me just recently because he just got to the age where he can. So I know what a deer trail looks like. I know there's more than deer. And in Washington, there's elk and bears and stuff.
Starting point is 00:04:56 But this looked entirely different, but I'll kind of get to that in a minute. So we kind of stayed there for those two days. So that would have been Wednesday and Thursday. And then on Friday, that was going to be our last day there. We were going to drive Saturday to go to a couple other places on our way back home to go to Seattle to fly back home to the Midwest. So Friday night after a day of hiking and doing whatever we did that day, I can't exactly remember. We went into the hot tub.
Starting point is 00:05:28 There's this really nice hot tub at the house. We went into the hot tub. We didn't have the jets on. So it was still very quiet. And it was probably, I don't know, 8, 8.30. I can't remember the exact time. It was at that moment in time where the sun has probably actually set, but it's not quite yet dark. And we're sitting in a hot tub.
Starting point is 00:05:47 we're kind of just chatting me, my wife, and my son. We're just sitting there chatting. And all of a sudden, I hear this extremely high-pitch, whale scream type thing. And I like, tell everyone to stop talking the nicest way I could. Like, you hear that. And it happened again. And me and my son lock eyes.
Starting point is 00:06:11 Obviously, we've been in the woods a lot. We've never heard anything remotely like this. We're like, what in the world? world was that and then at that kind of same moment neighbor who was probably 75 yards away their house was a decent ways away their dogs just start going absolutely crazy their yard you can kind of see them if when when you drove in you could kind of see them uh their yard and it was all fenced in so their dogs were just in there going nuts barking at whatever made that noise um so we were kind of just sitting there for a while just listening see if we would hear it again
Starting point is 00:06:47 And again, it sounded like relatively far off. Obviously, the sound had to make its way through the woods for us to hear it. So I don't know exactly maybe 100 yards. It could have been maybe more. I don't know how far off it was. But extremely loud. So we were kind of sitting there, like hearing the dog's bark. Me and my son were very interested.
Starting point is 00:07:07 We were like, I don't know what that was. That was absolutely insane. So we get out of the hot tub. We walk into the backyard. Again, it's still kind of light a little bit. Not light, but it's not quite pitch black yet. And we walk out there and we are kind of just standing there trying to listen to anything. And really over the sound of the dogs, because the dogs were again, they were like almost probably 100-ish yards away,
Starting point is 00:07:31 probably not quite somewhere in the middle of 50 to 100 yards. And their barking was also echoing. So it kind of made a lot of just background noise that would make it difficult. Unless, again, if it screamed again, it was closer and it was just extremely loud. He would have heard it. But you didn't hear anything again. My son said he thought he heard something. I don't know if he did or not,
Starting point is 00:07:52 but he thought he heard another sound outside of the dog's barking. I couldn't verify that. So you're all like, well, that was so weird. We went back to walk into the, where the hot tub is, and we got back in. And I think we were just talking about it, like just chit chatting. Again, I said my son had a prior experience in the state we live in. And he was just talking about that.
Starting point is 00:08:14 And he's like, that's so weird. what the heck was that? We couldn't figure it out. And so we were sitting there, it got dark. And it was obviously, a whole week, it was cloudy. I think it's probably just clouded there all the time. Cloudy, misty. That night it wasn't raining, but it rained, well, like, misted pretty much the whole day earlier, that day earlier.
Starting point is 00:08:35 And so it was really dark. It was kind of what I'm trying to say is it was very dark, couldn't really see. You could see the fence. So this house had a white fence on the backside of it. And you could see the white fence, but just beyond that, you could see nothing. Like, I mean, literally nothing. And we were just sitting there. And all of us were just staring at the fence line.
Starting point is 00:08:57 It was like, well, if we're going to see something, it's probably going to be on the fence line. That would make the most sense. So we sat there for a little while, just kind of taken a look. There was an outbuilding on this property, too, that had a light. The light was like somewhat shining into the property. But again, it was so dark. that if it didn't come directly into the light, you would never have seen it. So this whole time, I keep on thinking that I am seeing something on the far left corner
Starting point is 00:09:25 of the property where the fence kind of comes to a meet in a corner. I could never fully say that I did see something. Something always, I kept on thinking I was seeing something move in that corner. And then my wife says that she saw something, she at least she thinks, she did run from that corner kind of along to the middle of the fence and then go into the woods so that's the first thing where she said i think i just saw something run along the fence i was like oh really where and we kind of like we're looking over there and trying to like figure out like how far it ran and what what would have happened but it was again it was one of those things where
Starting point is 00:10:03 it's like i think i saw that and again i didn't see it so i couldn't confirm or anything like that So my son starts to get kind of, I want to say scared, but what he said to me was, Dad, I have that feeling again like I did back in April. Because his experience that he had here was in April of this year. And I was like, okay, that's fine. We'll just pack it up and we'll go inside. So as we're doing that, we're kind of still standing there drying off. And then at that spot that I talked about earlier, the spot that was kind of open,
Starting point is 00:10:38 that led into the woods. He said he thought he saw something that filled in that space that looked at him and then kind of like shot back into the woods. Now again, like I said, pitch black, you still could maybe see something large move.
Starting point is 00:10:56 But again, it would always be kind of like, did I see that? You would always kind of second guess yourself because it was just so dark. So after that moment, we're like, okay, we'll go inside, we'll grab my flashlight, will come outside and see if you can see anything. I always bring a little flashlight with me everywhere I go.
Starting point is 00:11:12 It's a very small one. It's not very bright. So we go back inside, we kind of start getting ready for bed to be changed, all that kind of stuff. We decided to go back outside, grab my flashlight. I turned it on, but I cover it with my hand. So we try and go outside quietly. And I take my flashlight and I abruptly shine it into the woods. And I shined it all across the fence line. Didn't see anything.
Starting point is 00:11:35 Didn't see anything move at that moment. the time. So, like, okay. And at that moment, you kind of have to, like, if you put yourself in my shoes, I'm not like a huge bigfoot guy. I'm going to watch some podcast, stuff like that. Still, like, plausible deniability or whatever the appropriate term is, because I never actually saw something. So it was kind of like that, it was still like, well, I don't know, maybe I'm just kind of going crazy. Maybe it was just some animal making some crazy noises. I don't know. So that's when we realize that the window is unlockable. Well, it's kind of unlockable.
Starting point is 00:12:09 So on the back side of the house, there's a window in the living room. And it's kind of one of those houses. It has a living room, down in the kitchen. It's kind of all one big area. And the living room had a triple window. And the windows on the sides slid inward to the center of the large window. So it wasn't like they slid up or anything like that. They slid inwards.
Starting point is 00:12:32 And it was just a whole big vacant area. One side did lock. And then the other side would not lock. I never would no screens or anything like that on the windows. And the reason it wouldn't lock is because the owner of the home, they ran their cable for their internet directly through the window. They didn't like drill a hole in the wall and put it through the wall like you're supposed to. They'd have shoved it through a window. So I had a window.
Starting point is 00:12:54 I had no way of locking. And like I obviously lock my house up when I'm not theirs. And at night when I go to bed, I just lock the doors and the windows. So I was kind of like, well, I don't know what the heck's out there. I don't like it being unlocked just in general. So me and my son did our best to try and find something to pry or pop that window closed. I think a lot of people use like a piece of wood to put it in there. We tried to find a piece of wood.
Starting point is 00:13:22 There was really nothing long enough to fit in there to keep it closed. I opened one of the closets and sounds stupid. The only thing that I could find is the house had a built-in vacuum into the actual house. So there was like the parts of like a shop back that you stick together that you can extend it with, that kind of like that firm plastic. That's all that was there. So if I put two of those together along with the handle of the vacuum, that would get stuck into the window.
Starting point is 00:13:53 and it was in the window side on an angle. So like one side was on the bottom, and the other side was like kind of up on the other side of the window, like, I don't know, maybe a foot and a half, something like that. And I put it in there and I push down on it to lock it in there as best as I could. That's about all I could do. And again, I was still under the idea of like, I don't think anything's out there,
Starting point is 00:14:18 but I'm not going to take any chances. So this is what I'm going to do. Now, I could not just unhook the internet because that next morning had to register for our flights so we could fly out that following day. They didn't have service there either. So the only thing we had was the internet there for any form of service on our cell phone. So I could not disconnect the internet. Okay, so we do that. We're ready for bed.
Starting point is 00:14:46 We go lay down. We go to bed. My son's freaked out. So he wanted to sleep on the floor in our room. I was like, I don't care if I do whatever you want. So he lays down on the floor next to my wife. We're just laying there. I'm honestly kind of like a little turbed.
Starting point is 00:15:00 I'm a little anxious. In our room as well had a massive window and also a door. I close the blinds. Not crazy. I'm not going to keep those open. So I close the blinds on that. But you can still kind of see light come through from the outside building that I was talking about. So it's kind of my eyes were drawn there because I'm like,
Starting point is 00:15:17 well, if something comes up to the patio, the patio went all the way around the house. I'm going to see it walk through the light, possibly at least, possibly see it walk through the light. So I was kind of there, just looking at that, trying to fall asleep, and then all of a sudden we hear what sounded like stone hitting glass and heard it.
Starting point is 00:15:42 I didn't say anything. I don't know me and my wife and my son were all like, what was that in our brains? And then it happened again probably 10 seconds later. My son sits up and said, what was that? And before I could say anything, my wife said, oh, that's just your uncle,
Starting point is 00:16:01 getting a glass of water and then setting the cup down on the counter. Obviously, it's glass cups in the house and then a stone counter. I was like, that's possible, I guess. I could kind of where I was sleeping, I could see into the kitchen as well. And I saw no movement in the kitchen. So I was like, I said, I don't think that's it. It sounded like something hitting a window. And so my son jumps out of bed, runs out into the living room, through the kitchen, and he comes back and says, no one's there.
Starting point is 00:16:32 I was like, yeah, I could have told you that. I didn't see anyone out there. And also, it just didn't really say, it sounded like that, but not really sounding like that. So while he's out there, he hears another stone hit the window. So again, at that moment of time, it's like, that's really. weird like what in the world is that um so we're kind of just again a little freaked out even more now because like what in the world is throwing stones at the house it makes no sense no human likely is going to do something like that that just doesn't make any sense he comes back again he's like it was and there's no one in the kitchen that's not what it was something threw something at the house so we're like still a little freaked out i mean it was kind of hard to fall asleep was because I knew the window wasn't really closed that well.
Starting point is 00:17:21 So that is the last thing as far as overnight that was spooky, whatever you want to call it, kind of confusing or weird. My son said in the middle of the night, he thought he saw a shadow move across the door in our room. And again, can't verify, it, didn't see it. He said he thought he saw something kind of in his stupor when he woke up in the middle of the night. You know, just like walk across the light so he could kind of like it like it blocked the light for a second, something like that. Don't know if that's the case, but that's what he said.
Starting point is 00:17:57 So my alarm went off really early. We had to get up super early because I had again had to register the flight. And then I also, we were driving to the whole rainforest. We had to get there really early. Otherwise it gets too busy. So we were up bright and early. And I, the first thing I did, because I, But my mom and my brother, they're not at all.
Starting point is 00:18:17 Like their brains probably would never go to Bigfoot or something like that. And they were not out there with us at the time when this all went down. They were in their bedrooms, either getting ready for bed or sleeping at that time that all this happened. So they were none the wiser. And I still haven't even actually talked to them about any of to do that. They have not actually talked to them about it yet. So I was up before everyone. the first thing I did was
Starting point is 00:18:43 went over to the window and that's when I got freaked out so I went over to the window that I you know barricaded and I pull up the blinds and the rod of the vacuum connection whatever you want to call it
Starting point is 00:19:03 was completely bowed not like a you but it was bowed and it was no longer propped up. It was laying flat on the inside of the window. So it was in a completely different spot, bent, making like a half view. I was like, what in the world? Because when I put that in the window, like, I struggled to get it clamped down in there,
Starting point is 00:19:30 so I thought that it wouldn't move. So there was no one else up in the middle of the night at that house. And first off, no one even knew besides me and my son. I think my wife probably knew that we put that in the window. And I don't even know who would have walked over there from my family, compressed it, and then pushed it down, and would not have just put it away. So something was on the outside of the house, went to that window and hold that window open. I don't know how far or for what reason, but that's the only explanation that I could possibly think of. So I pulled it out.
Starting point is 00:20:08 I showed my son and we're just kind of like gas, like what in the world is going on. And then, so we're all at that point, we're all kind of like getting up now, like everyone in the house is getting up. Getting drastic ready to go. It's probably 6 o'clock in the morning. It was pretty early. So it was just getting light outside. My son goes outside. And I don't know exactly what before he went out in the backyard.
Starting point is 00:20:34 He comes back inside. opens up his hand he's got three stones in his hand they're like probably the size of like dimes or something like that and I'm like he's like he's around the back porch my wife's like you're lying there's no way
Starting point is 00:20:49 like no I found these right where I told you they were thrown I'm like oh really wow that's really something else so we did find whatever you know whoever threw those stones we did find those stones on the back porch so we weren't losing our brains someone actually threw
Starting point is 00:21:05 something actually threw stones at us when we were in the house so we were still kind of getting ready to me and my son were still talking trying to figure everything out and then we're kind of like walking in the backyard my wife was kind of yelling us that we had to get going we were like hold on and we went to the backyard and there were impressions there were no foot footprints it's a it's a drought there I think this summer so they had like 30% of the normal rainfall that they normally get. So they're very, very dry there this summer.
Starting point is 00:21:40 So I don't know if, like, an actual, like, foot impression or not an impression, what, where am I looking for? Like actual indentation into the ground would have been too visible because the ground was very firm. But we did see along the side of the house, something came over the fence. It walked along the house. It stopped at my mother's winter. So we could see the footsteps.
Starting point is 00:22:07 And my son even was walking in them. He was like having to take these long strides to walk in these steps. Whatever it was, stopped at my mother's window and was like standing there because you could see all these like spots where everything was just impressed and pushed down at that one spot at the window. Now I don't know if she had her window closed or open, but something was standing at that moment or standing there looking inside her window. The footsteps continued across the lawn and they went over to buy the hot tub and then they stopped as they kind of angled in to where that window is that I was talking about earlier. The footsteps literally led the whole way up and to that spot they stopped and then that's right where the window was that we could not lock closed. So then at that moment of time, we're like, I don't know why I didn't take hindsight's always 20-20. I was thinking, man, why did I not take, I got home.
Starting point is 00:23:11 I'm like, why did I not take pictures of these indentations? Like, you're actually, you can kind of see him in one of the pictures that I sent you. It was like one of those things at the time. I was just so hectic and trying to get out of there that I was, you know, had to just basically leave. So I did actually walk into the woods two separate times. Me and my son, there was a real. river kind of close to the house. We tried to walk in the woods to get to the river. That was a spot of the woods that was not quite as ends. You could kind of walk through there a little bit.
Starting point is 00:23:41 We still couldn't make it to the river because it was kind of like a ravine. But I did walk into that spot, I think it was Thursday of that week, where I was talking about earlier where it was all matted and bent down. And I walked kind of over there and in there to see if I could just see anything, any kind of tracks. This was, yeah, this was on Thursday. I did that. that. And I couldn't really see anything, but I kind of can't stress to you enough how bizarre that spot was. Like all of the grass just there was completely matted down, like something went in and out of there frequently or sat there. I don't know. And then just beyond that, on the inside of the woods, it was pretty dense. Like I was not prepared to be able to walk
Starting point is 00:24:25 into the woods with any of the stuff that I had. There was kind of like a lane that went went from that spot and it went over towards the house of the guy with dogs that were barking. So like whatever was back there could be relatively, I mean, obviously if it's a human, it'd be a challenge, but it could relatively move through that area pretty easily. Now me and my son went back to that spot on Friday right before we left, and we found this branch probably about two feet long stuck into the ground. We were like, I know that wasn't there before when I, there on Thursday because it was kind of right in the middle of the spot there.
Starting point is 00:25:05 My son pulls it out and it was like in the ground like 10 inches. It was like what the heck is this? And it wasn't like a dead branch. There was no tree that fell or anything like that. So it was just a branch randomly stuck into the ground. Like, okay, well, that's really weird. I don't know what that's about. So after that, I mean, that's really basically the story.
Starting point is 00:25:23 It's nothing crazy, but it was just one of those things where it's like, I don't know what it was. It was really, really, really bizarre. It's intense. I don't know if you heard me laugh. I laugh when I get nervous. I don't know if you heard that. So when I'm out in Oregon and Pacific Northwest out in the woods, I'm laughing a lot because I'm nervous as I'll get out.
Starting point is 00:25:48 Yeah. But for some reason, like, man, your account is just really intense. So I have a few questions for you. So how long would you estimate the indentations that could be? Yeah, good question. Yeah. Good question. Longer than I wear a size 13.
Starting point is 00:26:12 I would probably say at least that, if not maybe a little bit larger. So like a large man's footprint, put it that way. Okay. Nothing enormous. Nothing enormous. And I don't think whatever it was that walked in our long. on was huge. If it was, you know, you hear people say they can get as large as eight, 10 feet, whatever, I can't imagine something that big would have been able to get over to that
Starting point is 00:26:40 window to try and open it. And if it was that big, it would have ripped that window right. It would have had no trouble opening that window. So, my thought it would be probably the size of a large man. Okay. How much space between the indentations you mentioned that your son had been trying to go. Yeah. So it would be like if you, if you're, I'm six two,
Starting point is 00:27:01 if I walked awkwardly long, not like super long, but if I took like maybe an extra footstep, extra footstep and I walked, like a little bit awkwardly walking like that that far. So like not like a normal cadence for a larger man, a touch larger than that. One thing my son said he kind of got all into Bigfoot after this.
Starting point is 00:27:21 And he was like, you watched some video about how you said that, I don't even know if this is true. People find Bigfoot tracks. They're kind of more in line with one another, as opposed to humans are more like side to side. You know what I mean? I don't know if that's true.
Starting point is 00:27:35 I think so. Yeah, those tracks were like in more of a straight line. They weren't like side by side, which I thought was really weird too. Okay. How far off the ground was your mother's window? If I were standing up as a 6-2 person, it probably hit just above, like, your chest area on me. So like maybe four to five feet. That's the beginning of the bottom of the window.
Starting point is 00:28:08 Okay. So like I could easily look inside. So whatever it was, it was my size, it had absolutely no trouble looking inside. the day before so the day let's say the supper of the day before that that night when you had all that that stuff happened were you guys cooking in there uh we cooked in so what did we make at night i think we just made something cheap like nachos or something like that but yeah but no windows were open again it was like uh i'm sure you're aware that the climate there it was like 60 so It wasn't like hot or anything.
Starting point is 00:28:47 I would imagine, obviously, if it's an animal, they could probably smell something, yeah. Did you mention to anyone else about what had happened after this? You mentioned you haven't even talked to your mother. Yeah, no. So actually, it's funny enough, the very first night we were there, my brother smokes. He was the one at night. So it was Wednesday night. We got there.
Starting point is 00:29:10 We got to the place late because, again, like I said, we were like kind of scrambling last minute so we didn't get there until 7.30 on Wednesday night. He was out there after we all else went to bed and he next morning he says to my son jokingly, of course, I heard Bigfoot last night. And I don't know what my son said to him. I wasn't there when he said it to my son. And I thought that was kind of funny. And then like I think it was later that Thursday I asked my brother. I'm like, well, what did you hear? He's like, he's like, honestly, I've nothing I've ever heard in my life. I couldn't even explain it.
Starting point is 00:29:46 Now, I take that with a grain of salt, and I'm not in any way trying to insult my brother. He doesn't go off into the woods a lot. Me and my son again, we hunt, hear all kinds of things in the woods. I don't know if he would know what an elk would sound like. I know veigling. I don't think he would understand that being different
Starting point is 00:30:04 than a monster or whatever. You know what I mean? So he said that, and kind of more of a joke, but he did say, like, it was something like I've never heard in my life. He said it sounded like, this is kind of weird. What was it?
Starting point is 00:30:18 It's from Empire Strikes Back when they're on that frozen island, those like creatures they ride on. Yeah, I think so. It kind of sounded like that, he said. I was like, that's weird. Okay, I don't know. It's absolutely. So, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:30:34 Yeah, it was kind of interesting, though. What we heard sounded nothing like that. Okay. Very interesting. So really besides that discussion, then you reached out to me, that would have probably been about it. Yeah, I don't think, let me think about this. So just my daughter obviously overhears us talking about it, but she has no interest. I think that night when we kind of came in, we were talking about it, she got freaked out.
Starting point is 00:31:06 So she just wanted nothing to do with it at all. And then obviously my son and I have been for the last couple of months talking about his experience as well. So that also kind of freaks you out because his is, his experience is honestly, lack of a better word, worse than ours in the sense of he physically saw something not too far from him. So it's a different thing altogether. Absolutely. And we talked at the beginning, you're comfortable. sharing that as well, which we'll get to in a bit. Now, so I did make, I have had a few people, as you imagine, reach out.
Starting point is 00:31:52 And they're like, okay, let me phrase this the right way. Did you contact the Airbnb owner about this? Good question. I did, okay, we, we're very conscientious people, so we left it very clean. We messaged her when we left. She messages back saying, thank you for leaving it clean. Okay, no problem.
Starting point is 00:32:19 I told my wife, said, you need to message her. You need to tell her that, and I'm sure she knows this, whoever owns this place, I'm sure she knew that window didn't lock. I was like, you need to tell her that that's kind of unacceptable. Like, you got to, you can't have a house that just can't be locked, that me is mind-boggling that someone would do that. So that's the only thing that I told her. I didn't want to, like, I mean, I think it would be kind of, if it were me and I'm just an
Starting point is 00:32:48 average Joe and someone said, hey, I think Bigfoot's at your house, probably going to think I'm a weirdo. So I didn't feel like that was probably appropriate. So, man, you really didn't know anything about Forks going there? well I mean like I obviously knew about Olympic Peninsula being like a hot spot right for a big foot in general forks oh I knew like forks was like
Starting point is 00:33:15 some movie or something like that for for girls or something like that I forget what the name of the movie is but there's a big thing there with some vampire movie but that's it that's all I kind of knew that it was that and that it was on the far side of Olympic National Park that's really it well to be fair twilight is also So could be for dudes too, but that's a different. That's a different point.
Starting point is 00:33:39 Is that what it is? Is it Twilight? Is that what it is? Is it Twilight? Yeah. I didn't even know that. No, I've been there. But that I covered that a few episodes back.
Starting point is 00:33:51 But yeah, yeah. So it's crazy because it used to all be in the Twilight, but now it's really, there's a lot of Bigfoot stuff going in. There's actually a Bigfoot museum and a bigfoot store. store, that Tom's Which is a Bigfoot store. Actually, what's funny is, I went to that store, I bought a shirt there. And the guy there, I swear I recognized him from a YouTube video.
Starting point is 00:34:14 Whoever was. Yeah, I don't know the guy's name. I didn't like talk to the guy. I was like, I remember you from a video I saw. Before I went there, I went there, I watched a couple of like documentary type of whatever you want to call it on YouTube. And I was like, that guy looks familiar. Yeah, he's a good dude.
Starting point is 00:34:30 He owns that store in, in music. Yeah, good stuff. That's an intense account, even though, I mean, you did kind of have some, some visuals as well. That's wild. Yeah, and again, it's one of those things where since it wasn't me, I can't, you know, I cannot say what it was. So you said that this really affected your son. Yeah. But which is interesting because, oh, oh, sorry.
Starting point is 00:35:03 And can I get the exact date for this again? I want to make sure. Yeah, it was August 28th at night. August 28th of 2026. Yeah, so just a couple of weeks ago. Recent. Very recent. Because you've alluded to your son has had a incident happen earlier in April,
Starting point is 00:35:26 but you're saying that this incident and Forks did it, do you think it affected him even greater? or it just maybe pushed him over the edge. So, like, he never said what he saw in middle Wisconsin was Bigfoot. It's not the words he used. I don't remember he, like, called maybe, I don't know if you ever gave it a name. But I think this and in conjunction with that kind of, like, figured his brain to, like, think about Bigfoot more. And he mentioned something the other day.
Starting point is 00:36:04 What did he call it? The traveler effect or something like that. Or when you see a Bigfoot, you're more likely to see another one. I forget what it's called. He's really referring to what's called the hitchhiker effect, which is sometimes we have an encounter. Things can, in a way, follow you home and weird things can happen weeks, days after that. And he's kind of talked about with Skinwalker Ranch as well. Okay.
Starting point is 00:36:34 But that's what, yeah, that's definitely what he's referring to. Yeah. And so this would be kind of different than that, I guess. It's his experience that he had in Wisconsin was April of this year. Okay. Do you mind if we get into what your son had experienced in April? Yeah. Sure.
Starting point is 00:36:52 So it's a place we go to. I mean, it's a friend's property, right? It's in the middle of Wisconsin. in ish. And basically hunting land, it's like 300 acres of hunting land. You have a cabin on the property. A fairly small cabin. It's basically one big room. And he goes up there with his buddy to just be kids and go up there a couple of times a year, once or twice to go hunting. And he was there in April. You can't hunt in April, but they were there kind of like doing some cleaning up and stuff. And in the middle of the night, he woke up, had to go to the bathroom. So there's a back door on this cabin that leads on like a elevated path to the outhouse.
Starting point is 00:37:34 And so he went outside the back door. And I probably won two in the morning. I don't know exactly the time, but it would have been early, early morning. He didn't go into the house. He got the bathroom just peed off the side of the raised walkway. As he's peeing behind him, he hears heavy breathing. He's like, that's weird. So he turns around and says, hello?
Starting point is 00:37:55 like seeing if something will return to him nothing happens just breathing heavy so kind of spooked him out so he finishes up was back inside he's thirsty he goes over to the sink get water and they don't have water in the house they have like pulled off this like little igloo cooler thing so he's got the water and he turned sideways to a window and he's drinking the water and out of the corner of his eye probably 50 feet from the house, he sees some form of humanoid object. And so they have the cabin and they also off to the side of the house, the cabin. They have another very, very small cabin.
Starting point is 00:38:39 It's like the size of a shed. It really just meant for guys to sleep in kind of when they're hunting, basically. And so there's the cabin there and then the smaller cabin right next to the small cabin. It's like a little bench. that's exactly where he sees this thing. And he's drinking, and he sees it because there was moonlight. And what he said was, he actually drew me a picture. I wish I would have kept it, and I could have emailed it to you.
Starting point is 00:39:06 It was behind the bench, and it looked like a large human. So, like, very large human. The picture he drew me, it would have been extremely large. And the thing that, the reason why he said it, he didn't think it was Bigfoot, is because it was kind of more gray in color. It wasn't like black. He described it initially as white. I don't think it was white.
Starting point is 00:39:27 I think it was just a lighter colored, whatever it was, gray, you know, whatever. And it didn't have like that typical big foot look of like the broad shoulders and the kind of sloping up into like a domed head. It was more human-like. And actually what he drew was kind of a more narrow head. Like it was a neck with a narrow head. or head. Obviously, I didn't see it, but this is his interpretation, his drawing of what he saw. So he's drinking, he stops drinking, and he's literally looking at it through the window.
Starting point is 00:40:00 So this is not just like a glance, this is not something running by him or anything like that. He's sitting there staring right at this thing. And then so he's like getting the goosebumps and he goes into the, again, it's kind of a one big room cabin. He's looking at it through one window. He's like, he wanted to get a different angle on it, see if he's like losing his mind. He walks over around the countertop to go to the living room and is staring at it through the other large, like, bay window. So he's probably looking at this thing. And I don't, I have to ask him again, but I don't think it moved the whole time.
Starting point is 00:40:42 He was just staring at it. And whatever it was, didn't move. It just sat there. So I think he just ended up getting kind of freaked out and then just went back into the, the, when I say it's one big room, it actually, it really is, but they have a divided section where it leads off into like bunkhouse type thing, a little bunk room. So he went back in there and woke his friend up. I was like, hey, I saw something. His friend's like, okay, yeah, whatever. He was back to bed.
Starting point is 00:41:10 So he was like, all right, he went back to bed and was trying to get back to sleep. and then he something pounds on the house. And I don't think it was like horrendously hard. It's a log cabin, so it's built pretty well. But he remembers it hitting the house, and then there was a pill bottle that would just shake. And I think it happened two times. He woke his friend up again, but his friend fell back asleep, and I don't think after that moment in time there was any more pounding on the wall.
Starting point is 00:41:44 he felt really weird about it he didn't want to he told his friend um I don't think he told the dad as he just felt kind of weird about something like that because like how do you really because this guy's on the property for oh man I don't know a very long time so I don't know what they have or have not seen but none of them there are afraid to go into the woods or anything like that so I would assume probably haven't seen much there but that's a spot where there's just tons of forest land around there. So God only knows. But that's his story.
Starting point is 00:42:17 And that kind of really affected him because, again, like he physically saw something. He didn't know what to make of it. Oh, yeah. I can only imagine what is going through his mind with that. So you mentioned it did his account. It did have a neck physically. Yes. What he drew me.
Starting point is 00:42:39 As I was asking him, because I think I was thinking like, well, maybe it was like some kind of big foot or something. I don't know. What he drew looked, I don't want to see. I mean, I don't know. I have never locked eyes anything like this at all. So it looked like he said it was very thin, it looked very thin and had a visible neck and a oval head. So I have no idea what to make out of that. But the picture he drew for me made it look very large.
Starting point is 00:43:09 Um, just kind of awkwardly shaped. Okay. But I would almost say 100%, it was not a big, that does not sound like a big foot to me. Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. And, um, I know he wasn't seeing things. I know that. Um, he's been at this place quite frequently. And I've been there.
Starting point is 00:43:31 Um, and I believe that night there was pretty, pretty good moon, moonlight. So I don't, I don't see it being. And also the pounding on the wall. I mean, I don't know what. You could say bear, right? But a bear's not white, obviously. There's bears there that could maybe hit a house, but that's kind of not.
Starting point is 00:43:51 I would see it more like trying to pry at a window or a door to get food as opposed to hitting a wall. It doesn't make any sense to me. Okay. And I know you don't have the drawing in front of you. You're trying to remember it from memory. Did he have any hair on that at all? I don't think he could make out that.
Starting point is 00:44:13 He could not make out facial features or hair or anything like that. It was more of like this, the shape of a human, much larger oval head. Like, you know, you see someone in the dark and you can make out like their shape, but you can't see actual physical characteristics. Right. Have you seen anything in a movie or TV show that looks similar? similar to what your son drew. A large alien maybe, you know, something like that.
Starting point is 00:44:44 But I mean, you know, that sounds weird, right? No, no, no. Like, that's kind of what I would say. Like, the oval type head would be, like, an extremely large alien, which is just bizarre. That's the way I would have described it. Okay, kind of like you have the cover of communion or, like, when you see a drawing of an alien, that basic alien shape you out.
Starting point is 00:45:05 Like, you know how you look like the gray alien images? They got a big head. a small body kind of like that but huge very large. That's intense and you said you there hasn't been a discussion with the owner of the
Starting point is 00:45:24 cabin about this. No he's probably not the kind of guy that would want to discuss that but also it's funny is my my son was there recently too probably a month or so back and he was there with a couple other guys and them had a dog and they were outside late at night probably 10 o'clock
Starting point is 00:45:39 one night all of a sudden to dog was ballistic, just starts barking like crazy and bolts it into the woods. And they spent, I think, 20 minutes trying to find this dog in the middle of the, like at 11 o'clock at night. They finally get the dog back. I don't think the dog was like whimpering or scared or anything like that, but they got it back. And he said it was so weird. Like no one wanted to talk about it. Nobody, they literally sat there and ate in silence. And then they all went to bed. That's very, really rare for them. They're kind of like talkative people and they stay up late
Starting point is 00:46:13 and that happened and then everyone shut up and just went right to bed. Okay. That's extremely interesting. So that was you said it was about a month ago. Yeah. His actual like sighting setting was in April.
Starting point is 00:46:30 Right, but the dog incident. So that would have been in Julu, man. It would have been. I believe July. Okay, in July. Gotcha. Yeah. very very interesting Joel
Starting point is 00:46:46 thank you so much for sharing sure what happened to you guys out in forks how is everyone you know we've talked about how it affected your son how is everyone else
Starting point is 00:47:05 handling because that's a bit of a traumatic experience I would say yeah you know it's unfortunate. I mean, fortunately I didn't see anything. And I know, like,
Starting point is 00:47:16 that maybe that makes me a wimp or something, but I don't want to. Like, I don't have a desire to have that experience. I love hunting. I don't want that to be taken away from me. I mean, I guarantee you,
Starting point is 00:47:28 if I really wanted to when we were there, if I would have sat in the living room, I had no idea when that creature came over to the window, I would have sat there with the windows up and pitch blackness. And maybe would have seen something. something. I just, it's just not, I don't want that. So that's always kind of into the back of your mind now, right? And I know we live in, I don't live in the woods or anything like that, but I go hunting up, you know, of north. So it's kind of one of those things where it's always
Starting point is 00:47:56 in the back of your mind. My son's definitely more affected because of his, both of his experience. My wife, my daughter, don't, probably don't think about it twice. Yeah, absolutely. I would, it's a lot for your son to go through as you know yeah it hasn't affected him too much though keep an eye on because he likes
Starting point is 00:48:19 yeah he still likes to go hunting stuff like that so he's not too afraid but like you said like he wanted to go hunting recently here and I and I wasn't able to go with and I'm like yeah no sorry
Starting point is 00:48:33 I'm just not not letting it happen if you're hunting or don't hunting with me it just one of those things, especially that first time, then also the second time, just the dog freaking out. It was like, I don't want you in a place where I can't be there with you, basically. Absolutely. I agree. Well, Joel, it has been just a very eye-opening conversation. listeners, if you've had an experience like this in the Forks area,
Starting point is 00:49:06 and this sounds familiar to you and maybe you've experienced something similar, please reach out to me at Bigfoot Society, gmail.com. If you've had an experience like this at any Airbnb or rental, I'd love to hear it. But Joel, thank you so much for coming on the show today. No problem. Welcome back to another episode of the Bigfoot Society podcast.
Starting point is 00:49:25 I've got the privilege of talking to Kyler here. Kyler has had an interesting experience happen in his past out there on the Olympic Peninsula. So we were able to be connected. I want to say, was it over on TikTok, Kyler? Yeah, yeah, it was on TikTok. Yep, absolutely. There's a lot of great connections that happen over on that platform, which is, you wouldn't think so, but it's actually fantastic.
Starting point is 00:49:54 But thank you so much for taking some time out of your day, Kyler. I'm very interested to hear your experience that you had a while back ago out there on the Olympic Peninsula. Yeah, absolutely. So this was a number of years ago. This was back in 1994, around April 4th. And that date stuck in my head just because on our drive back from the experience, we heard over the radio about Kirkland's passing. And that was a huge Nirvana fan, you know, 12-year-old into the grown scene in that era.
Starting point is 00:50:24 So, you know, it's a memorable day. So I was 12 years old back then. So how it all started? My older sister was looking to do like a spring break camping scenario. So she's in her early 20. She's married. She has two kids. And there's a few of us kids in the family that are outdoorsy.
Starting point is 00:50:49 And she's one of them. And my older brother's one of them as well. And she's like, why don't we go camping? And I think her husband has been fishing, and he's from the Forks area. So, and he's like, well, let's go up there. And campgrounds are somewhere on the Hoare River. I don't remember the name. I asked my sister if she can't remember either.
Starting point is 00:51:09 But so it was a camping trip planning to go up there to Forks and just hang out and have good time. And so we're, you know, we drive up there and get to the campsite. I think it's like late morning is when we got there. It's kind of one of those campsites, you know, mixed RV and tent camping. It's pretty good size, but we actually drove out kind of towards the end of it to kind of get away from the majority of the campers and, you know, kind of have a little bit of woods to ourselves. Be kind of nice. But so we get there and we unpack, set the tents, set the camp, and, you know, ate some lunch.
Starting point is 00:51:49 And it was about that time and things started to feel a whole strange. You know, when you, and I don't know how to explain it, but you kind of feel something watching you, it feels like. Just that weird, eerie feeling. Nothing crazy. Just, you know, like you're in the woods, you feel like something's walking. Yeah, it's just one of the situations. But my brother and his girlfriend decided to go for a walk, check out some of the campsites and towards the river. And so they left.
Starting point is 00:52:23 And not long after they left. It, uh, she, uh, my brother's girlfriend ended up, like slipping off a log or something and springing her ankle. And, uh, that led to a whole scenario. So I can't remember if she sprained her, she broke it. And I know it's, it's full up pretty fast and everybody's pretty worried. But, uh, what ended up happening is, uh, so my, my niece and nephew, they were toddler, like, little, little kids.
Starting point is 00:52:53 And I was told her old. And so they get back to the camp, and they decide that they're all going to go and take her to the ER, leaving me at the camp alone with my niece and nephew. Strange. Looking back, yeah, it's really strange. I'm not sure why that happened. So they left. I don't even know where the hospital was, but they were gone for hours.
Starting point is 00:53:21 It was a long time. And so there I am. I have, you know, my niece and nephew there. So I'm trying to entertain them. And, you know, this is back in the 90s. So there's no cell phone or easy way to call anybody or communicate with anybody. So I was just kind of there at the campground and just trying to play games with them. Reeking books, you know, playing the dirt.
Starting point is 00:53:44 And my brother's girlfriend actually brought her dog as well. And so, you know, get the fire going, you know, and hanging out with the kids or, you know, making up with your marshmallows and that kind of thing. And I'm still kind of feeling like something's watching me. But, you know, shake it off to myself in my head, like, oh, no, you're in the woods, you're in the forest, you're in a different place. And it's not like I've never been in the woods. I grew up in the woods.
Starting point is 00:54:17 So, I'm pretty comfortable there. But, and it wasn't like a hard tugging feeling like you got to, you know, hide or something. It was just that constant feeling like something was watching me. So, you know, we're there, we're hanging out. And the dog was there. We had leased it and tied the leash off to a tree. And it started freaking out. It turned out nowhere.
Starting point is 00:54:47 Um, kind of, uh, you know, when dogs, it's like they're so worried they want to bark, but they can't really get a bark out. That kind of high-pitched, you know, yelling they kind of do when they get scared. And, uh, and then it starts running around the tree. So I start really parenting, so I let me, maybe something is going on here. Um, but, uh, and of course, you know, there's no adult there or older person to talk to you. And so it's just me. So, you know, I end up, you know, getting the dog, kind of bring it by me, calming it down.
Starting point is 00:55:26 And I'm like, well, I got to get kids fed. I'm going to get them in the tent. I weren't safe. And so I just did up some real quick dinner right there, hot dogs over in the fire. And got the kids in bed. I sat outside the tent. The only thing I could find really as a kind of protection device was a steak net. I was old, you know, little, like six-inch wooden handle,
Starting point is 00:55:52 serrated edge, steak, many things, you know, from next then. And so I got the kids in the tent. I got the dog with me. He was still just trembling. And I'm sitting there with my knife, steak knife in front of the tent with the kids in it, doing my desk to kind of stay calm and, you know, show them that I'm not scared. They're little kids, you know, they pick one and stuff. But, yeah, that's kind of how, so the beginning of the escalation of the situation.
Starting point is 00:56:26 So here we are a few hours later. Still no adults. I'm sitting there in front of the vent with my night. The dog's still freaking out. And I really start to feel like, you know, something's happening and something's going on. But eventually, you know, my sister or other. then my brother and his girlfriend return. She has her boot on.
Starting point is 00:56:52 And, you know, I kind of tell them what's going on. And they can last it off, like, you know, you're just in the wood. You're just scared. You know, nothing's out here. You're fine. Of course, you know, oh, yeah, such or something's like, you know, I grew up here. Okay, okay, nothing's, nothing's going on. And my brother kind of chimed in, like, well, you know,
Starting point is 00:57:13 my girlfriend heard something. That's kind of why she fell off the log. and her ankle and, you know, we did all kind of feel something we got here, but, you know, they all end up just kind of talking themselves out of it and trying to talk me out of it, but, you know, I still have that feeling, and I can kind of tell they did too, whether we wanted to do it, and admit it at that time or not. But, uh, yeah, so they're there, they're there. We're all hanging up at a fire for a little bit. Um, pretty exhausted because, you know, to get to forks from where we are, it was a bit of, you know, early morning drag to get up there as early as we did.
Starting point is 00:57:48 It takes some hours. I mean, it takes hours from anywhere in Washington to get to forks. There's no straight way because, you know, the whole rainforests right there. So you kind of got to go around it in either direction. But, um, so, you know, we decided to call it a cold night and get in the tent. And, uh, you know, I eventually kind of start to do it off all asleep. and then I felt like I just just won't sleep just close my eyes and that's kind of when we heard the the first loud noise and it's really strange so I don't know how to explain it probably so it's kind of a it was a weird it was high pitch but there was also like a low pitch vibration it's kind of I don't even know how to explain it it was kind of like a mix between like an outline a woman screaming and like a little rustle of like a bare crowd, kind of all in one big hauler.
Starting point is 00:58:48 You know, like there and your packing neck stand up and kind of drills you right to the bone. So when I heard that, my first instinct was to kind of lie there and I don't play dead, I guess, at that point. But then it happened again. And that's when my sister and her husband sat straight up. And, you know, my sister's like, you know, we got to go. Let's get out of here. And so it wasn't only that.
Starting point is 00:59:29 Like after we sat up, like they were quiet for the second. I was quiet for when you could hear what sounds like some of the thinner, like small cotton wood or something like just being snapped and broken down. Like you could hear like little trees falling. By little, I mean, they could be 20 feet tall, but you know, skinny trees just being just knocked over, which was kind of strange, and then the holler again. And so at this point, you know, my sister's grabbing up the kids.
Starting point is 01:00:01 We're all building out of tent. At the same time, we end up ours, you know, my brother and his girlfriend in their tent, or ends up being there, says, well, obviously they had heard what we had heard. And it's a mad dash to the car at that point. I feel like kind of everything happened at once. It was kind of a quick blur of a scenario there just getting to the car.
Starting point is 01:00:23 There was no stopping to pack up or grab backpacks or seat and bags or anything. It was just run to the car. And we actually get in the car and we all pile in. It's an old yellow station wagon. And my sister's husband who's in the driver's seat was like, should we wait and see what it is? And my sister, obviously full of adrenaline, like, no, get that, you know, out of here.
Starting point is 01:00:56 And so he pulls your, you know, he pulls out, you know, backs up and we get going. And we round the corner from our site into kind of the main camping area. And we are now in a line of traffic. You know, this is the middle of the night. I don't. A full, you know, a full campground. And everybody's leaving at once. Oh.
Starting point is 01:01:21 So obviously the entire campground had heard what had happened. And it wasn't just people in tents. It was the people in RVs leaving their RVs, you know, just in their truck. They're going. Like, it was, it was something, it was wild. It was just a wild experience. So we get out of there and, you know, driving up to, um, poor Angeles, uh, you know, uh, where my sister's, my family, so we stayed the night there.
Starting point is 01:01:49 The next day, of course, you know, couple, you know, my brother and, uh, my sisters are going back and retrieved, you know, a lot of our camp here and stuff. And it's not like a short drive. It's quite a drive from, from forks. But, uh, yeah, it was just a wild experience in that, you know, like the, I can't say exactly what it was I heard. But it was nothing that I know. And I spent a long time in the woods, even up to the day. I'm in remote areas.
Starting point is 01:02:16 I love being outside. I've never felt like that. I've never heard anything like that. So, yeah, it was a wild experience. That is extremely intense. I mean, let's say a normal, I'm trying to think. of what other, so you've got other animals there, you've got like cougars and the stuff. Like, you hear a cougar noise or cougar scream, that's not going to make an entire campground.
Starting point is 01:02:49 No. Get out of there. And I know that sounds something else about. I've heard that. Yeah. Yeah. So it's, uh, it was something that's, yeah, way out of ordinary. And then of course, you know, a few years after that, now there was talk about, oh, it was, you know, maybe some sort of.
Starting point is 01:03:08 animal that was experimented on or something like there you know all these crazy ideas what we're all kind of came up with but I mean the you know big foot seemed the most possible you know plausible idea but you know I still don't know I have no idea right exactly which which is
Starting point is 01:03:24 wild but yeah I mean out there especially you have so many things that are reported so the the animal being experimented was that based on just you guys were using your imagination or is that based on something you've actually heard out in that area?
Starting point is 01:03:44 My brother says he had heard something about it happening up there. So I don't know if it's something that was, you know, actually heard or what happened, you know. But, yeah. Sure, absolutely. Yeah, the 90s were a different time. I mean, we're similar in age. I can tell you that. And listeners that are younger will not get how in the 90s, I mean, you pretty much, your kid,
Starting point is 01:04:19 you pretty much do whatever you want. You could, like, go out in the woods. Oh, yeah. Parents who aren't your own. I mean, and you had no cell phone. And it was fine, right? And think of how many times I almost, or so many times I almost gotten a crazy adventures that were almost life ending.
Starting point is 01:04:36 It was wild, so listeners need to take that consideration too. Yeah. So how was it or how long was it before everyone involved started telling other people what had happened? Well, I mean, we talked about it pretty much right away. Okay. I tell everyone we're coming back early from camp and, you know, we stayed at, you know, my, uh, such a husband's grandparents house. So obviously we're telling them all about it and why we're showing up, you know,
Starting point is 01:05:15 in the wee hours of morning. Uh, their tourist with, you know, with, with all of us. So, um,
Starting point is 01:05:24 yeah, now we, we, we talked about it pretty, pretty quickly, but, um, yeah,
Starting point is 01:05:29 there was no platform to really go on and. Oh, sure. Yeah. I'm fine, other people in the campground. So, I'm really hoping that,
Starting point is 01:05:37 uh, you know, maybe some of your listeners out here, you know, have heard a story similar to this in the same area around the same timeframe that my bill can, you know, talk about. Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. I hope it's out. So I know it's not just us. Right. There are other people there. They might be listening. Who knows. But how did the grandparents react to the story they're being told? You know, honestly, I kind of just calmed out. Yeah, got you. The adrenaline wore off. There was a long drive, and I was out of it. I was out of it.
Starting point is 01:06:18 I mean, but really, you talk to, you know, growing up, I'm in, you know, the rural parts of Washington, you know, just where I live growing up. And a lot of the older people we talked to, you know, they know someone that had, you know, had, you know, an encounter of something had no amount for us, whether it was themselves or somebody you know. So I don't think they'd be too surprised. Yeah, I would not imagine. So especially if they spent years in that area. So obvious, growing up after that time period, did that experience affect you in any way in your years ago? going through high school and then after that.
Starting point is 01:07:09 Well, you know, it took me a while to get back into the woods, you know. You know, I could grow up. I mean, you know, the woods behind the house and I just go out there and play all day. And, you know, I didn't travel as deep there, you know, to the woods for a couple years. But, yeah, it kind of affects me that way. And then, you know, as an adult, you know, with the kids, you know, I feel like I was just kind of, maybe a little overprotective when I take them on the porch. It's still taking them out because, you know, I want them to enjoy nature and love it, you know, and they do.
Starting point is 01:07:43 But, you know, I think it kind of gave my anxiety, like a little heightened anxiety. Even to this day when I go out, I mean, I'm still out, and I go rock-hounding and mushroom hunting. And, you know, the thought still crosses my mind. So it just hasn't left. Absolutely. And obviously, I mean, you're listening to at least one Bigfoot encounter podcast. being yours truly. So it sounds like you kind of maybe you're even trying to figure things out potential. Oh absolutely. I'm always, you know, always looking for answers, trying to figure out
Starting point is 01:08:19 what happened. And, you know, it's funny. I mean, you bring up, you know, Forks these days and, you know, people in his, you know, close as, you know, this is back when, you know, Forks is known as a Forest Town, you know, it's logging town. And they had the burger joint there. We're getting on a big, you know, a big, you know, longer burder and all that stuff. So, you know, it's just finding people that are really interested in, you know, and have similar situations. I've run across some people that, you know, I've heard the screams and or the yells or, you know,
Starting point is 01:08:56 whatever we want to call it out in the woods. And it's just nice to talk to people that, you know, it's experiencing something like that. Absolutely. in your time trying to figure things out, have you actually done any research to see if you can find similar stories or any Bigfoot accounts from other people that are currently in Forks? I haven't reached out to me in Forks. That would be a bright idea to do. But, you know, I've, you know, dabbled a little bit. You know, I've read some stories. You know, I've, you can watch some channels and just kind of hearing stories.
Starting point is 01:09:38 And so it's just because I'm curious. I mean, kind of want to know. Yeah, I would love to know kind of what happened. And I think, you know, it'd be cool to kind of talk to somebody that's kind of for some time. maybe even reaching out to like the Quillet tribe or something like that would be you know something I'm actually looking to in the future just have a conversation and hear the history of the land and what was going on in that area yeah I mean it really comes down to what what connections you're able you're able to have and if you have those those connections in order to try to talk
Starting point is 01:10:22 to the right people. I know Forks right now has I mean Tom Seard has a great
Starting point is 01:10:27 right now it's like a bigfoot gift shop but it's turning he's opening up a Bigfoot museum as well
Starting point is 01:10:36 should be open very quickly so that might be a good person to talk to I mean there's still stuff that
Starting point is 01:10:44 happens in that town today I just had an interview with a individual that had a pretty intense experience at an Airbnb somewhere in Forks.
Starting point is 01:10:58 And this was just weeks ago. So that one will either be out before yours or it might even be on the same episode. We'll see how I feel editing that day. But it's one of the most active places in North America, I would say, for Bigfoot experiences to this day. So I'm not surprised that you were. getting those weird vibes and everyone was freaking out a little bit. That is not surprising to me at all. Yeah, I think the story we were just talking about,
Starting point is 01:11:34 I think that's kind of what clicked. When I was, you know, I was strolling through TikTok, I saw that story and had a comment because, you know, that's the area. That's the place. That sounds pretty similar to my experience, you know, all those years ago. So, yeah. Absolutely. And that, you know, that, you know, forks being, you know, where it is, it's kind of, you know, it's isolated out there. There's not a lot, you know, on the west coast of Washington once you, you know, start in that, you know, that road. It's kind of like the only town. So I could see, like, that's where you would have experiences next to the rainforest, unless you're in the rainforest, it's, you know, obviously we've got more experiences, but. Oh, for sure. Yeah, absolutely. You know, a population out there. I could see why that would be kind of, you know, kind of.
Starting point is 01:12:22 will have to. A hundred percent. I hope that you are able to to maybe find some answers to this well I would guess if
Starting point is 01:12:37 listeners have information definitely leave it in the comments on on YouTube. Is it a thing where you would want people to reach out to you or you'll keep an eye on the YouTube comments.
Starting point is 01:12:54 Oh yeah, they can they can reach out. I have my little YouTube channel. It's beneath the surface with Kyler and just kind of me exploring local places just talking about history and geology and their kind of stuff. But no, I'd love to hear from anybody if they can reach out. That's great. And I'm also on Instagram as well under Kooley underscore Potions. So it's kind of about outdoors.
Starting point is 01:13:22 the adult beverage slash page. Nice. Awesome. Yeah. Yeah. I will have those. For sure. People can check those out and reach out to you.
Starting point is 01:13:34 And of course, any listeners, feel free to reach out to myself as well, Bigfoot Society at gmail.com.
