Really? Oh my goodness.
Oklahoma Off-road adventure.
Steve, how did you get involved with this Bigfoot stuff to begin with?
Take us back to when this first started for you that you started having things happen in the Bigfoot field.
Oh, man.
This has got to be way back in the early.
70s when I was a kid, you know, when the legends of Boggy Creek and all that stuff came out.
And I was pretty fascinated with all the crypted stuff, the Loch Ness Monster,
you know, all that kind of stuff when I was a kid. National Enquirer was like my favorite
little thing to read when I was in line shopping with my mom. I was like,
anticipated seeing the National Enquirer to see what they saw and went,
while we're waiting in line, I'm like reading it.
But I grew up in Oklahoma and really, you know, I didn't, the legend of Boggy Creek watched a lot of stuff about Bigfoot and stuff like that, but no real experiences there until we moved to Washington State.
And then this is up at the Olympic National Rainforest.
And we were right on the outskirts of it and had like 10 acres out there.
And we moved from Oklahoma to there.
We cleared some land and stuff and put our, put our house on it.
My mom had the house put on it and stuff and everything.
It was pretty neat.
And I was like 11, 10 or 11.
And I mean, the first thing, it was like the first month we were there, something was outside of squalid like crazy.
And I had the bedroom in the back of the house.
And that night, I changed my bedroom to the front.
of the house. You know, I made the decision. I'm like, no, next morning, I went, slept in my mom's
room with her, and then I removed my, I removed my bed. And we had some, my, my grandparents were
park rangers at Horseshoe Lake up in Washington State. And that was pretty awesome. A lot of,
a lot of good stuff happening up there, but not really any bigfoot stuff other than,
her friend, their friends were park rangers as well, came and got us one day and said they had something special for us.
So we're like right on.
So we all loaded in the back of the pickup truck and went over to their park on their other side of the lake.
And they took us on like maybe a two mile hike down a trail.
And there was these trees that were like six foot up and they were just twisted, like about so big around.
They were just twisted. The tops of them were laid down and they were stripped.
And there was like eight, nine foot beds made.
It was crazy. And they were just, you know, left there. It was pretty neat looking.
And the trees weren't cut or anything. They were twisted off.
And you could see that the trees on the ground were the pieces that were twisted off.
And that was pretty amazing. So that kind of spiked it for me right.
there.
Steve, I want to jump in real quick.
Just to clarify something, is this the same horseshoe lake that's over by Mount
Adams?
Yeah, I believe so.
Okay.
Yeah.
Very cool.
So just for listeners, so it's totally understandable that you're seeing stuff over there
because, I mean, my goodness, we've talked about Mount Adams on the show.
We've talked about O'Lalley Lake.
campground on the show. I mean, it's that Gifford Pinchot National Forest, just a wild,
wild area. So yeah, but please continue with your account. Yeah, and that was really neat.
So that really sparked, you know, my interest was that. But other than a few creepy feelings,
I really didn't have any other experiences up until,
I started when I retired at like about 45 I started just taking off on my motorcycle and camp in remote places and stuff like that and I lived in Florida at the time
So we went all over the place in Florida and I was by myself out at a wildlife management area and
Camping and I was there for about three weeks this was right before the like COVID
stuff started and towards towards the end of the three weeks like two days before I had to leave
because of the COVID stuff I was sleeping and I got woke up at like 4 a.m. with pebbles like
hitting my tent and rolling down you know and you could count the it was like 10 to
12 count before another pebble hit and it happened for about an
hour I laid there and listened to it for about an hour just to see if it faltered or did anything and never did and then finally I'm like hey I'm sleeping in here I'm trying to go back you know and it stopped and I woke up in the morning and when I came out it didn't rain it wasn't wet out or anything there was no reason there was a huge puddle I'm talking a puddle by my tent a wet spot and I'm like what the
heck, everything was dry. It was just a big wet spot by my tent.
And there was a stick going through it. So I picked up the stick just to, you know, smell.
What was, it was pee for sure. So something just like left its mark right there.
Because I would actually, in the middle of the night, I would pee in a jug.
And then in the morning, I would like pour it around my camping area.
You know, on the outskirts, how long the, it's just for coyote.
and stuff like that, they're not going to mess with you if they smell, you know, people urine, mostly.
But that was pretty weird. And then two days later, they canceled all my reservations and everything for doing anything.
And that was like the beginning of my journey when I just started everything. And they're like, no, everything in Florida was canceled.
So I ended up going and staying with my...
my aunt because my uncle just passed away.
And that started another journey, which had a lot to do with this because
she ended up passing away too.
She got a brain tumor, but I, we rented a
SUV and I drove her to Arkansas,
or Kansas to my cousins, to her daughters.
And stayed there for like,
like a week and she's like just take the car do what you want we got it for another month
and so i took off and i headed to oklahoma where my brother lived and i got family and stuff like
that and i went there and that's kind of spark that because i enjoyed staying there and going
around and doing some things and we we visited this place called coffee lake outside of oklahoma city
And we were there.
It was about this time of year.
It was chilly.
And it was toward the evening.
Nobody was out there.
And I was walking around it, not a very big lake.
And my brother and his wife was still over by the vehicles, which was on the other side of the lake.
And I hear every, just, it was weird.
From all around me, I hear like murmuring.
Like somebody talking, people talking, but I couldn't tell where exactly.
where it was coming from.
And I'm looking all over the place.
And I'm thinking like homeless camps out there.
That's the first thing that popped into my head.
There's like a homeless camp out here and I don't want to stumble in on them.
They're like, but then I keep looking around and it's just coming from everywhere.
I couldn't tell where the murmuring, and it was loud.
You know, it was loud enough to, but I couldn't tell what they were saying or what was going on.
And that kind of freaked me out a little bit.
So I started walking back and I was like, hey, is that you guys?
And nothing back.
And I walked up some more and I realized that they were still up at the car.
So they were a quarter mile away from me.
So there was no way it was anything like that.
So that was pretty awesome.
And then I, you know, when doing the research and thinking about that stuff,
a lot of people have heard that type of murmuring.
you know oh yeah i mean i have actually heard that myself and it's very very strange i heard that in
iowa it's strange because you're constantly trying to listen as hard as you can to try to get
words out of it but there's you can't there's you're not getting any english words
it messes with your head at least that's what i experienced yeah exactly my first thought was
you know, where's it coming from?
Where's this coming from?
And I could not.
It was just like every time I turned my head, you know, to see if it was coming from that way,
it was just like, it was like in my head more than it was out, you know, in the air and my ears picking it up, I think.
That's what it felt like to me.
But that was pretty neat.
And I ended up going back to Florida and getting my mom.
motorcycle and a month later I had I headed back to Oklahoma because it was just like it was calling me
you know I just like had to do it and I didn't have nothing else to do so I just jumped on my bike
and headed to my brother's house stayed there and ended up selling my motorcycle and buying a little
four-wheel drive and I found the Oklahoma Adventure Trail 1600 miles of dirt roads that
circumnavigates Oklahoma and part of this trail goes through the mountains of southeast
Oklahoma and that's where everything happened was right there it was pretty awesome
and is that referring specifically to like the Kayamichi's down there exactly the
Kaiamichi mountains yeah and this was like privately owned land the
that nobody has permission to go out onto.
You know, I had to do a lot of research in flanagelin kind of sort of to get out there on it.
But I ended up making friends with the owners and the one guy that's out there that, you know,
kind of maintains everything and keeps order, the sheriff of the mountains up there.
And that's in the book.
it was pretty cool that guy was pretty cool um but there was well they owned so many mountains it was
ridiculous out there it was great but i found the area that i wanted to go through and it was all
privately owned so i found like 40 acres that was per cell out there i got a hold of the realtor company
to get permission to go out there.
And then I had to call a couple other companies
to get permission to go out there.
And I tracked down the logging company
that was out there and then talked to them.
And they were like, oh, yeah, not a problem.
You know, you can come out there.
And then I tracked down the owners of all the property.
And they were like, absolutely,
if you're not hurting anything,
you're not hunting, don't worry about it.
And so I went out there,
started exploring and everything and got in you know kind of good with the family and with the guy that
was out there really good not very many people out there i traveled out there for seven days i took dirt
roads and everything before i even saw my first person it was so remote and i finally i talked to this guy
finally and i that's what i asked him i'm like that's the first thing i'm going to ask you know
Have you seen any bigfoot, any weird stuff?
And he's like, he's like, yeah, I have.
He said, one night I heard a bunch of ruckus at the feeder beside the barn.
And I came out there with a flashlight and there was three, three of them.
He said, one of them was as tall, if not taller than the barn,
which would have been like eight to nine foot tall.
And the second one was a little shorter than the barn, he said,
which would have been about seven, seven and a half.
And then the third one was about his size.
And this guy was maybe six, two, six, three.
And he said, I shined light right in the faces.
And he said, they weren't no bears.
And he said, I don't know what a bear looks like.
And that was a person's face, he said.
That was not a monkey, weren't a bear.
He said, the biggest one snorted at him while the other two backed up
across the clearing and then went into the tree line.
And then the biggest one did the same thing.
And they just, you know, looked at each other.
He shined the flashlight right on it,
and it looked at him until it got to the tree line, snorted at him,
and then they disappeared.

And he's like, that is like the main experience I had.
He's like, I've had a few more experiences
where something snorted in my face, you know,
in the pitch black at night when I'm out there.
He's like, but other than that, you know,
he did see saw an orb which his family and everybody's like if you see an orb you just go the other way you don't even mess with it they were like but go ahead that's that's really interesting that's something i've actually never heard before did you ask him why they learned to just go the other way no big uh
old people like that a lot of times tell you to do something and don't give you an explanation
and that's kind of how he had it you know he's like i never asked and you know it's like don't go
in the tree line at night i never asked that i don't want to know type thing and yes uh on the other
side of the mountain is like a little community and i'm probably totally giving away almost uh but
if anybody goes up there they're going to get in trouble anyway so they can't but
I drove around there too to talk to some people on the other side of that area.
So right on the other side of that mountain where he had his experience, there's a little community.
So I went driving around in there to get to the downside of that.
And I found the guy that was, he had a fire going.
And it was this time of year right here, he had a fire going and he was sitting out there.
and I come driving up the little dirt road in my little Chevy tracker.
And he waves or not wave.
And he's like, hey, what's going on?
He's like, he's like, nobody ever comes up this road.
He's like, he said, he said, you want to sit, you know, and sit a while.
And I'm like, heck yeah.
So I got out and we started talking.
And that's one of the first things I asked.
I ask about Bigfoot, you know, and if you had any experiences over.
here because on the other side of the mountain there's there's a guy that saw three of them and he's
like absolutely he's like something comes through here at like three or four o'clock in the morning and
slaps our rain barrel a couple times and we just we just say hey good morning and go back to sleep
because it's just such a normal thing now and he also said that twice an orb came up his
road and first he thought he thought i was too
at first because nothing ever comes up his road you know and it wasn't a road you take a normal car up either you had to have a four-wheel drive
and he said that he thought it was like somebody on a motorcycle but it was so quiet not making any noise and wasn't bouncing around it was just coming up his road
and the first one freaked him out he went in the house and he didn't want to deal with it and then he was out there again
and this was like another year because they had like this spot for a while
he said this orb come up the road so he was going to go out there and see what it is
you know and he walked out to the end of his little driveway
and started walking towards it and it literally stopped
and went back the opposite way away from him until it disappeared
so it yeah he got in its way and it stopped
This is what you're saying.
My goodness.
And all this is on that adventure trail that you're referring to?
Yeah, this is all on that same along the Oklahoma Adventure Trail right on this mountain, the same exact mountain.
And when you're on top of this mountain, you're like a compass, anything like that, just goes wacky.
It's just you can't get a north, south, east or west, west reading it all on it.
Unless you can walk around and you've got certain spots that it'll be okay.
But most spots on that mountain, it just goes wacky.
It's pretty cool.
I wonder why that is.
There's got to be some kind of special metal or something.
Yeah, magnetic thing.
And that, I camped around there.
I got permission to camp around different spots to see if I could experience.
anything and I went did a lot of hiking and I went back over a period of two years back and
forth to Oklahoma City where I was staying and then I'd go out there for a few months and
every time I went out there I had some kind of experience like the first one I was hiking
and I see I'm hiking a few miles from the cabin in the middle of nowhere that nobody goes to
you know for years 20 years or more nobody's been
up in those areas and stuff.
And I'm hiking this cattle trail.
And I get up and there's a whole bunch of pigs.
So I freeze right there.
And I'm looking around to see if there's any big ones that is going to be an issue.
If I've got to jump up, climb a tree or something, I'd be stuck up a tree for the next hour.
And there wasn't any big ones.
So I just kind of stomped my foot and they all disappeared.
I'm like, okay, no problem.
So I go on another maybe 20, 30 yards and off to my right about 20, 30 yards into the woods,
probably not even.
I'd say 20, 30 feet, because it was right there.
A big old branch just snapped, crack.
And I took that as a warning, hey, I'd probably just scared off its food or something.
And I'm like, hey, okay, no problem.
I said, sorry, I turned around, went back the other way.
And as I'm going back the other way, I just turned around and followed the trail back.
And about halfway back, as I'm walking, there's a big old turkey feather in the,
and right in the middle of the trail.
And I'm like, pick it up.
I'm like, hey, thank you.
You know, and I stick it in my hat and I kept walking.
And that was pretty neat.
And then another time I was down by the creek.
camping and I was exploring around there and across the creek I went a little further than I
normally go because I left out earlier that morning and I took a lunch with me and stuff
and this is climbing rocks and it took a minute to get back in there and a lot of energy
and I had another one crack big old crack coming from just inside the tree line
at me. And I'm like, okay. You know, I'm good with that. And finally, after doing this for like two years,
we'll get up to the top of this mountain. And there's a cabin up there that he used to live in like 20, 30 years
ago. And this is where the experience was at, where he said the three were at. And the tree line
they backed into, you know. And I said, I want to camp there, right there. And they
trusted me now. They're like, you're not going to tear stuff up. And I helped put new screen around
the cabin and made it look like people live there and stuff, you know, so I did some work while I was
there, mode, mode lawn, mode the area, the grass area and stuff. And, uh, I'm like, I want right
there and I want nothing, but that tree line that they backed into in front of me. That's,
that's all I want. I want right there and that's where I want to camp. And he's like, yeah,
Not a problem.
You know, he's like, you can go up there in camp.
And I was literally up there for three months from, let's see.
Yeah, May, June, July.
I was up there from April to July.
And it was like July 6th, the day I left, because it was like 116 degrees.
It was so hot.
But I finally got up there.
My first experience with him was I woke up in the middle of the night to go
P like, you know, and I turned, I had lights on my Jeep that I'd just flick a couple switches and it lit up the whole area.
And then I had a nice bright halogen flashlight today.
So like three o'clock in the morning, it was a bright full moon.
And I flicked all my lights on and I go out and I'm shining my light around just to see if I can see any eye shines other than deer.
And all of a sudden, on the top of the feeder,
that wasn't that the feeder that they were eaten out of
um on the top of that feeder something slapped the top of it four times
this is out in the middle of nowhere that I know nobody's up there
there's no way anybody's up there and private land
and I was just like I wasn't scared I was just like I was just like I just got a
birthday cake and and there was a file in it and I got out of jail. That's how I felt. It was like,
this is so awesome, you know, and then I sat there for about, I got my lawn chair out and I put my
back to my, my Jeep and I sat there and I talked to them for about 30, 40 minutes and then I went
back to bed, you know, and that was pretty neat. That was a pretty neat experience.
So whatever it was, you know, it's four perfect slaps on top of something.
Nothing else is going to do anything like that.
Nothing has rhythm like that.
A deer's just going to rut something.
And same with the pig.
It's just going to, you know, randomly do something.
So after that, I knew they were up there.
So I found an old pickup truck that was in the tree line.
And I know you're not supposed to do this.
but I left crackers.
And I left some crackers in there.
Next day they're gone.
I'm like, awesome.
So I left some more crackers and I put a bunch of dirt around the crackers on the hood.
So if anything walked up there, jumped up there, walked across it, landed on it, you know,
there was just a little spot where the crackers were.
I would see footprints or something of a bird or, you know,
raccoon something getting it and the next day i was eager to check i went to go check the next morning
and crackers were gone and the dirt wasn't disturbed at all there was no footprints nothing on the
dirt on the hood of this old truck so i'm like okay this is awesome so this is good so something's
coming in here and so at the same time i was going to slowly exploring a little bit further out
a little bit further out towards the tree line and stuff, but I haven't yet gone in that tree line
because I was waiting for an ATV. I didn't want to walk back in that area. I wanted to take an ATV back there.
So after about being there for, after this experience and being there for about a week and a half, two weeks,
I finally got the ATV that I got it running and everything, got it going. And I took that
ATV and lunch with me back into that area and as I'm coming back into that area there's
like this big briar patch it was like a dome and I couldn't see what was behind it or
anything so I'm like slowly putting around it so I can just like peek and all of a sudden all
this debris and everything just comes out at me and in my face and I mean I'm like wiping it
off of me it just like stunned me I'm just like ah what the heck
and whatever it was that fast you know diversion boom watch this they're in your face i'm out of here
so that's basically what it felt like you know it was just a diversion and it was gone and i but i
didn't feel threatened no time did i feel like threatened i've been in the woods where you get chills
up and down your spine in the back of your neck where it's like uh i'm getting i'm getting in the car
I'm out of here, which actually happened to me just last night.
Yeah, at the cabin here in Georgia, because I'm in Georgia right now in the foothills.
A friend of mine's got a cabin up there, and we were up there, go up there once in a while, you know.
And just last night I had something like that.
But when I was there at no time did I feel that.
I never felt threatened.
I never felt scared.
I never got the willies.
It was like a happy feeling, I think.
Because maybe I gave them a happy feeling from the beginning or something,
so they gave it back to me.
I don't know, but I never once felt threatened or scared or anything like that.
I just felt at home and safe.
It was weird.
But I went back up in there, and that happened.
And I still, because I didn't really feel threatened or anything,
it feels scared.
I just kept, you know, exploring the area.
I just went around.
And there was about 20 acres back in there that was fenced in.
And I went around the fence and then I kind of zigzagged through it just to see if I could see what I can see, you know.
And it was pretty neat, but really nothing.
And that was about three quarters of the day just to cover all that.
So I went back and I did my thing like I normally do.
I had astronaut paste.
I basically lived off a smoothie astronaut paste stuff.
And I went back and I made me one of those and I went to start to drink it.
And right from that spot where that briar patch is, right where they backed in,
that he saw him back in, it was a massive crack.
I mean, it was like a.
a baseball bat
breaking over a baseball
in a stadium.
It was just so loud.
But you could
you could basically
clap your hand really loud
and it sounded like gunshot out there too,
but I'm not underplaying
it. It was a massive crack.
And I know
from being out in the wilderness
and knowing how to survive and stuff,
if you make noise and you're a predator,
you don't eat. And if you
make noise and your prey, you get eaten
And so usually they don't make noises like that.
So that was just a warning saying, hey, you're in my area.
You know, never once did I hear any vocalizations.
Maybe I did towards the very, very last day.
But I didn't hear any vocalizations, no howls, no noises.
They didn't bother me at night.
Nothing bothered.
But I had my Jeep set up.
I had a Jeep Cherokee, had it set up where I could,
just climb in the back and go to sleep, you know.
And because I did not, to this day, if you catch me out somewhere like that,
I'm not going to be sleeping in a tent.
There's, you're not going to get me in a tent, no.
Is there a reason for that?
Yeah, because there's not, there's bad ones out there.
There's ones that do give you the willies.
And I don't want to be, come across one of those.
and not have access to my keys and my ignition and get the heck out of there.
You know, I don't want to be in a little tent.
Basically, last night, I come out of the cabin, and my dog normally gives me trouble.
He wants to run around and frolic and be like, nah, I'm not leaving the cabin.
This is only 11 o'clock at night.
He gets right in the car, no problem, you know.
And Rocco.
and I thought that was kind of weird and I was going to go pee
and then all of a sudden
just that up my spine and the back of my neck
just like whoa you know
it was just I had chills all over
and
something just told me get in the car
so I got in the car and I started driving off
and I still had that feeling driving up
and this is like how long's the dirt road like
two miles miles
dirt road and it's not an easy dirt road and I'm driving down that and my back hatch is like
wiggling making a noise and and and I'm like poop it's not shut all the way so I get out and as soon as
I get out I got that same feeling again and I'm like right up the dirt road a little bit not very
far and I slam my hatch down harder you know and jump back in the car real fast and got out of
there and then I called Adam. I was like, hey, something gave me the hebi-jeebies out there. You
better lock the doors. Don't let, don't let Bubba out. But yeah, but there I never really
felt at any time I never felt unsafe or and yeah. And I'm not a crazy, bold person that's just
going to look at the face of death and fear and just ha ha, ha, no. So,
It was neat.
It's my goodness, there's a lot to take away from the Oklahoma thing.
One is sometimes you have to do a lot of work just to get into a certain area.
And the amount of work that you did, just talking to landowners and things of that nature, I mean, hats off to you.
That's probably the most work I've ever heard anyone do to get to an area.
That's pretty cool.
So that area that you were staying for a while and you left the crackers out, was there ever anything that showed up that you weren't expecting to see any objects or anything after you left those crackers out?
No.
Okay.
That's the only thing, not that.
While I was hiking, of course, the turkey feather, and then I left an apple.
half of an apple in a tree while I was hiking a trail and then when I was walking back through the apple was gone and there was deer antlers setting in the trail with a triangle rock that was pointing up another trail that went into these briar bushes that there's the way I could have walked through you know and I kind of tried to I'm like okay you want me go that way I'm going that way it's like no this ain't happening and I'm in my shorts and a t-shirt
shirt. I'm not going through nothing. No briars. That's for sure.
And you're the only one out there for a, you said a few months?
Oh, yeah. Longer than that. Way longer than that. I mean, I'm talking 20 years going up there.
Other than somebody passing through, which is like the main guy that checks everything out, he might go up there once in a while to get.
because the main well, there's a nice well up there that pumps out some good water.
Man, that water was so good and cold.
I wouldn't have survived without that water.
It was awesome.
But sometimes he goes up there to fill his barrel up.
If something's up with his pump down there or the water or something.
But other than that, no, nobody's even authorized to go up there.
and it's leased out to this one guy that for that doesn't deer hunt or anything so they leased it out to keep people off of it stuff like that you know
that makes sense they had they had to figure out ways to keep people off their properties and those properties were closest to people
that like to ride their side by sides through so they had to take measures and that's why they like me being up there too
because I never nobody ever came up there while I was up there but you know I was more than ready to run anybody off until I did find a deer blind that wasn't supposed to be up there with a camera and we got the camera and checked out the SD card and got this got what the guy looked like and stuff like that and then put his camera back after we took a couple pictures of us going hey right exactly yeah that's always fun to do
What kind of animals were you seeing in that same area?
I've seen, nope, you stay put, get back in there.
I've seen right off, I saw a nice bobcat, nice little bobcat, that was pretty cool.
And not a whole lot of stuff, you know, mostly birds.
in the evening as the sun was going down you could howl and all around you i mean all the coyotes
would sound off and pigs one night let's see i was there for a few this was in june and the wind
actually changed directions that night for the first time since i've been there the wind
changed directions and i guess everything in that area that was smelling me couldn't smell me no more
So these big old hogs came through that were the size of half the size of my Jeep.
They were big.
I mean, the grass was up to my waist and these hogs I could see their back over the top of the.
And there's squirt.
There's bova.
I was like, that looks like a different dog.
Yeah, he just jumped in.
I don't know where he came from.
And where was I?
You're talking about really big hogs.
Yeah, the big hogs came walking through.
And that same evening, it was crazy.
That same evening, I saw a coyote as well in the tree line.
And the next thing you know, the pack of coyotes was trying to take down a little hog.
and for about 45 minutes it was the worst noises you could
I mean the coyote's going after it the pigs squealing the bigger pigs
you know trying to break it up and you know and it started over here
and it ended up you know back over this way and then it was quiet
crazy I sat out there and listened to it
I'd take a I had a lawn chair with like a mosquito net that I'd put over me
I could sit out there.
But every night at dusk, I mean, when the, you wanted to be inside because of the mosquitoes
anyway, but I went in as soon as the sun went down.
And as soon as the sun came up, I came out of my Jeep.
But otherwise, I didn't explore at night.
I did not go out at night.
That's not something that you do.
We did it once at midnight.
And I had this guy, he's like, he's like, what do you want to do?
You know, where do you want to go?
And I'm like, dude, I said, I want to go to somewhere, somewhere at midnight where nobody's been for a long time.
I said, 20 plus years.
He's like, well, that'd be where I grew up.
He's like, that'd be ghost holler.
And I said, okay, that's where, you know, let's go there.
He's like, oh, yeah, we had some weird stuff happen there.
He's like, some lady, and some guy, nope, some guy was riding his horse through there one night,
and a naked ghost lady jumped on the back of his horse, scared him so bad that he ran his horse till it dropped.
and and yeah made it the rest of the way home on foot or something like that crazy story but I'm
like yeah that sounds like a good spot to go for me you know so but nothing really
happened we sat out there and just listened and listened and it was pitch black
you couldn't see nothing and we just sat there for about an hour maybe hour and a half
and nothing no noises no anything like that I tried to do
a couple tree knocks but that wasn't their thing you know um i i think they're all kind of different
but then there's that day we're getting to it now we're getting to the juicy part so that day
it rained and this is probably this is in june i'm doing something this is this is probably in june
and late June this was three weeks before I left and all this time oh oh wait well let's not talk to
about that yet we're going to get to the part where I didn't leave food out one day so I left
food out for like a week straight or so and it was all gone and then one day I ran out of crackers
I had to go back into town and get crackers.
And I'd leave bananas too.
I left bananas and bananas were gone.
So that's how I knew that it wasn't a raccoon or a bird or something for sure,
because the bananas were gone.
But I didn't leave anything.
And I did my hiking for the day and I get back to my camp and I made my astronaut pace.
And I go to drink it and there were two slaps on top of the old pickup truck.
that I would leave the food on.
And I'm like, that I'm just excited,
even more excited than the force slaps.
That was just awesome,
because I know nobody's up there.
And that's communication.
Whether it's like, give me some more food,
or I'm going to come over there and get it or whatever.
But it was slapping the table saying,
hey, where's my crackers?
You know?
And I thought that was pretty awesome.
So I'm like, okay, okay.
You know, so I went over there and I gave in and I left.
That's when I left the banana.
That's right.
And because I didn't have any crackers.
And the next day, it took the banana was gone.
And I went into town and got more crackers.
And I left crackers two more nights.
And then I was like, I'm not going to leave him this night.
I'm going to see if it happens again.
I didn't leave them.
The next afternoon when I'm about to drink my smoothie,
it's two slaps on top of that sucker.
It did it four times to me that I did not leave anything out there.
And that was so awesome, just to be communicated.
Communication with one.
Any questions about that?
It's funny, I was actually just going to ask you
if you felt there had been any communication between you
and the Bigfoot that are living out there,
and you pretty much just answered it.
What do you think that would be the main communication that you experienced would be the slaps when you didn't feed them that time?
Yes.
The first night that they slapped four times on the feeder, I don't know why.
I don't know what was going on.
But when I walked around there the next day to that feeder where it happened, all the grass was patted down everywhere around that feeder.
So something was going on around that feeder.
That's all I can figure.
And when I shine the flashlight over that way, it slapped it four times saying, hey, you know.
And but that other than the trees breaking, the branches breaking towards me.
That's the only communication till towards the end.
I think it mimicked.
Because I, the day before I left, I said, hey, you haven't talked to me.
I'm out there.
I talked to it every day.
I stood at the tree line.
I walked around that area,
and I talked to the tree line every day like it was a person.
And on the last day that I was there, second to last day,
I was like, hey, you know, I haven't heard you talk to me.
I'd like to hear your voice, you know, can you say something to me?
And about five minutes later, and this wasn't at dusk, it's like 2 o'clock in the afternoon,
I heard a coyote kind of call, a pup whimper, and a piggy snort from over in that area.
Okay.
And that kind of freaked me out.
I'm like, that's awesome.
So it knows what I'm saying kind of sort of, but it can't say it back.
It just needs more.
I can't wait to go back up there.
honest goodness i'm on going back up there here pretty soon was that the only sorry was that
the only time that you had requested them to do something like that yes i would i would i would
i'll say this i would i would be curious to see what would happen if you did that again
absolutely ask it for something yeah like make a noise or you know i didn't even you know i would
tell it when I would eat and it slapped the top of the food.
I was picking berries one night and it slapped the top of the thing,
the truck.
And I put berries in a cup.
I held it up and I said,
come on over here,
you know,
share some berries with me,
share some dinner with me.
And I requested that,
but that didn't happen,
which would have been pretty awesome,
but you can,
I guess,
understandably.
Um, but yeah, I know.
After that, I kind of kicked myself in the butt going, man, I should have been asking it to do stuff all this time, you know, bring me something.
Something, you know, something.
But, uh, yeah, that was the only time I really asked it to talk to me to let me hear your voice and whatnot.
But after the slaps and stuff, um, this was, this was about two weeks before I left.
right here. I'm sitting in my Jeep. It's raining like crazy and it's just a big rainstorm passing by and about four o'clock, five o'clock in the evening. The sun was hitting the tree line, that tree line, just perfect, where the rain was gone and it was right out. So I was just still sitting in my Jeep just watching the tree line like I pretty much did every day. And I see all the trees or green leaves are all moving independently. I see some. I see some.
something, two big green things that are glowing that would move real slow.
And they didn't move this way or this way.
They just kept.
Steve, you there?
We lost them.
Hello, Steve.
Oh, man.
Hey, Steve.
That was messed up.
That was weird, man.
No, my phone overheated.
Oh, no.
I had to go throw it in the snow.
Cool. It's the middle of winter here in my phone overheats.
Wow.
I figure.
Yeah.
Okay.
Where was they at the green eyes?
So we were at you had just put your hands up because you were talking about like the green something and then it froze.
Yeah.
So, so I see these green things that don't waver, don't move with the leaves or anything.
And it keeps.
I see one
And then I see two
And then it slowly goes
I mean so slow goes back
And I only see one
I mean it's moving that slow
Back and forth
So slow
And I'm thinking
Oh
Somebody's up in a tree stand
Over there watching me
This is crazy
Because it looked like the reflection of
Here let's see
like these glasses okay yeah yeah like that um greenish orange and i'm like no way somebody's up there
like watching or something and um so in the house he's got some rifles old rifles with rifle
scopes and stuff like that just sitting in there hanging up all the stuff
been in there for 20 years undisturbed he just moved to his brother's house after his brother passed away but anyways i go get a scope i pull a scope off of one of the rifles because i didn't want to pull you know a rifle or anything or to move one of his rifles so i popped a scope off the rifle and i went back out there and i zeroed in on that and i could see it plain as as a day what it was and i'm like that's what the hell is
heck that that's not a it's a person's face do you know who john amos is like good times um he's a
football player um you could you could you could google it and look him up oh yeah he's uh what else
he's on uh coming to america too that old movie yes yes that that's the face i saw that that
That face right there except black, black, black.
So black, it's just shiny black, beautiful, shiny.
You couldn't really see pores, not really a porous,
but I was close enough to see the pores if it had pores.
Eyeballs were big in greenish orange,
and it had a big brow, and then, of course, it had hair.
And it had hair like my dog.
I mean, just like that, nice, beautiful.
nice hair.
And I'm just looking at it, and I'm like, you are the most beautifulest thing I have ever seen in my life.
This is so awesome.
It had the cheekbones, perfect with John Hamos.
Same nose, a little bit wider.
The mouth was, picture of mouth like the thing or the Hulk, you know, kind of thick lips and wide.
It had that.
Um, it was just watching me.
We were just looking at each other.
And it was just as interested in me as I wasn't it.
I ended up naming it past.
I followed his whole face.
I could see its whole face.
And, uh, I mean, all the crow's feet on the eyes right there.
I followed its arm.
It was like in one of those trees.
So I followed its arm and it had beautiful fur black.
Black as could be black fur.
And it wasn't matted.
It was nice.
like my dog's fur, basically.
And I followed its arm all the way down,
and it was hanging on to the tree with like three fingers.
And I couldn't see its thumb,
just hanging on with three fingers.
And I could see the wrinkles in the knuckles.
I could see the fingernails.
It was black under the fingernails.
And it didn't have long, pointy, gnarly fingernails,
had perfect fingernails.
And nice hands, actually.
It had nice big black hands.
It was black.
And the fur stopped at the wrist, which was weird.
But it kind of stopped at the wrist, and there was, I couldn't, there was no fur on the back of the hand.
And I was there for like 20 minutes just squinting through this thing, and I had to readjust.
And I readjusted, and I came back, and I could actually see it down with my eyes.
because I was talking to it
and it actually came out a little further
to where I could see it with my eyeballs now.
But I broke the scope out anyway
just to see everything was better
and something was across the chest.
Something brownish was across the chest
that I couldn't really tell what it was
or if it was foilage or if it was
what it was across the chest.
And when I went back,
It changed position, and I could see the full hand in the thumb, five fingers in the thumb.
And I'm like, that is so awesome.
This is a big old, perfect human hand.
And this thing has a human face.
It does not, not even close to a gorilla.
It's us.
It's got a human face, and it was big.
It was pretty big.
We watched each other until the sun went down.
that day and every single evening until i left except one because it was over here to my left um
watching me maybe wondering if it should approach me or something like that i feel if i would
have stayed another month it probably would have approached me been comfortable enough or
something um but uh every evening it was up there watching me and we watched each other
every evening and yes i had a 600 times zoom digital camera and guess what it wouldn't focus on it
no matter what i tried i got video of it it's on my youtube channel and you can watch if
honestly you can enhance it and stuff like that you can see the eyeballs and you can see it
but you got to have some good equipment to to i mean i've had a couple people
going i see it that is awesome and then like my brother going you know you didn't get real footage
you know but yeah that that was so awesome but i was up there for three weeks like that um and we
watched each other every day it ate crackers or bananas and um about it was really hot and i was really hot and i
was pretty much filling up a horse trough full of 72 degree well water and soaking in it just to bring
my temperature down and taking showers you know at the in the evening and um it was july 6th was the day i left
and probably july 4th was the day it made those noises to me and stuff and then um july 5th it was up
there in the tree again same spot and we sit there i
talk to it i said i stood at the tree at the fence line and he couldn't walk across the field because
there's a grass and the chiggers if you don't know what chiggers are no i know don't go to
oklahoma and walk through the grass in the summertime right because you're you're gonna have
big old welps on you so you stay out of the grass so the only way to get to it was going
through that tall grass and it's just like i didn't want to ride the at tv through it because they're
going to get on me
And so I just stood at the fence, which was about 40 yards, you know, from it.
Pretty close.
I could see it fully every single day.
But the camera would not focus on it.
It would focus on trees, leaves, everything else around it,
but apparently the camera didn't know what it was.
I don't know.
But no matter how many times, I've posted the best footage.
I had on my YouTube channel.
But I tried every single day to focus on that thing,
and the camera wouldn't focus on it.
It would get around it.
It would see its eyes and that type of thing.
But I could see it plain as day.
I mean, it allowed me to actually see it in the tree after that,
because I would just stand there and talk to it
and tell it to come over, basically.
and yeah I just talked to it
but I never asked it
other than to come over and have lunch with me
or you know eat with me
you know share some berries with me
other than that you know so apparently
they're very
they keep to themselves and they're territorial
but yeah that's I mean that was it
and the only thing I could figure
with the brown thing going across
it looked furry
you know
and I was thinking that
it was maybe an infant
clinging on to her
and maybe that was a female
because every day
that thing was on its chest
in the same spot
and I couldn't make it out
I didn't see a face
well
I may have seen a face
but I can't say I did
It didn't move.
It just was there across the chest every day.
So I can't say what it was for sure.
But it, for Bigfoot or Pat, it was definitely, most definitely prominent face, everything,
every single day, intent on looking at me, watching everything I did.
And that type of stuff.
And never once did I feel threatened at all.
And it did have greenish, orange eyes.
It did not have red eyes.
Okay.
It's absolutely incredible, Steve.
So you mentioned you're going back.
Do you have any plans of things you want to do differently for when you go back next time?
Not really.
Yeah.
I mean, I think I pretty much, yeah, I just want to get back up there and do exactly what I did, hike, and let them know that, you know, I'm not a threat.
And every time I come pulling up there, I'm going down the dirt road because it was at least 15 miles from the closest little town.
So you'd drive a highway and then you take a dirt road and then you'd hit another dirt road that was like about 15 miles or so.
And every time I get close to the mountain, I would honk my horn, the, the d-dun-d-dun-d-d-d-d-d-n-d-n-d-n.
You know, and I would do that, saving a haircut thing.
And every time I'd pull up there, I'd do that right when I'd get to the gate.
And then if I would just be driving by that mountain, I would do the same thing, the same honk.
But, yeah, it was just the most incredible experience.
And I think just having that experience unlocked so much different things for me.
It's just incredible.
Because once you see something like that, I don't know, I can't say, be bold enough to say,
I know the secrets of the universe.
But, man, I feel I know the secrets of the universe.
Honestly, it opened my mind to just what we are, why we're here, or what's going on.
that's a whole different story um it's just it's just crazy how awesome i've i've felt ever since then
it's a fascinating account and the coolest thing a lot of times you hear these accounts and it's like
i can't go back or i won't go back but the cool thing about it is that you are going back
that's really cool and i've got to yeah oh go ahead go ahead
I say it'll be interesting to see what happens after you do go back.
Absolutely.
If it kind of like going after seeing it, if they recognize me and that type of thing or anticipate me coming back or whatnot, you know, that would be pretty awesome to see, to know.
And absolutely, I can get back out there.
There's not a problem with that.
and I plan on getting back out there.
And I wrote a short little introduction book to everything.
That's probably like 80, 90 pages.
And it explains from my childhood up into this point,
what led me to that point right there,
to see them to be up there.
All the events in my life,
kind of chain of events that led me to that.
And yeah, that's basically what the little introduction book is.
And when I go back up there, it's going to be all about them for sure.
Absolutely.
So I'm going to have the link to that definitely in the show notes or description of wherever people are watching or listening to this.
But one last question I wanted to ask you, Steve, is how do electronic devices work up there?
Do they ever have anything weird happen to them or pretty much just business as usual?
No.
I had actual one little spot that I could get a cell phone.
I could actually get a signal.
But other than that, no, nothing really weird happened to my phones or cameras or electronic.
I mean, the compass would go wacky up there.
but my phone's never like i mean i've been in this spot where yeah okay up on top of this one mountain
this is in my videos on youtube i got the video camera and i'm i'm going back to this old cabin
that's on top of this mountain that's on a really old trail by three sticks monument
in in and in and in down in that area in the kai mech mountains and you can drive to it three sticks
monument but you can't drive back without a four-wheel drive pretty sure it's three-six
monument it's got to be three-six monument yes and um i went up there my four-wheel drive i got
some pictures and stuff up of me being up there too but i went back into this cabin and i'm like
getting to the cabin and i'm like hello anybody you know around here
And I hear like fingernails on a metal, you know, key.
And I'm like, oh, that kind of like gave me the willies a little bit.
And I'm like, hey, anybody here.
And all of a sudden, boom, my camera goes dead.
Oh, wow.
And it had a full charge.
Yeah, my camera shut off.
I'm like, what the heck?
And I'm like, what's going on?
I try to turn it back on.
You know, it won't turn back on.
And then I walk back up a little ways.
try to turn it back on because I didn't want my focus on the camera while I'm standing by a cabin.
I don't know what's it, you know.
And it came back on and I had like red in the battery.
So whatever, something drained my battery and my camera.
So I'm just like, okay.
And I actually walked up the road to this place.
And I kind of had the hebi-jeebies at that time.
Like there's something here that doesn't want me here for sure.
and it's going to do something to me.
So I walked back and I had the camera pointing.
I turned it on.
I had my phone or the camera pointing behind me as I was walking to see if I could
anything like, you know, popped out while I was walking back to my car.
But that was kind of a creepy moment.
But in those areas, no, I never really had anything bad, creepy, weird, other than, you know,
know the experiences i talked about okay very very interesting i mean southeast oklahoma is full of so much
weirdness it is it absolutely is i mean there's a few other um channels like you that are in
oklahoma just out of oklahoma and there's some weird stuff that happens in oklahoma and
people wouldn't think so i've talked to a few game wardens i know one personally up here and he's a
younger guy and he's like no he's like no there ain't nothing like that and i'm like oh you just wait
like there there is you just wait because that's the first thing i ask him i'm like yeah any experiences
with bigfoot and he's like no he's like i can't believe you ask me that and i'm like oh yeah here's
my book right exactly there you go oh my goodness steep thank you so much for sharing uh what you've
experience so far. And, you know, I just want to say, again, listeners, you can check out. You can get Steve's book on Amazon.
And the link to that is going to be in the description or the show notes for the episode.
But definitely keep in touch, Steve. I would love to hear, you know, if things continue to happen when you go back to that property in the future, would love to hear from you.
Absolutely. I can't, you know, honestly, I can't wait. And I would figure by.

able to talk to so many people last year and the year before. It is an incredible time. You're not
going to want to miss it. And I'll see you there. Before we wrap this episode, I want to say something
directly to a very specific group of listeners. If you're in the military, any branch or forces,
and if you've seen something that no one can explain, or if you're a national park ranger or
forestry worker who's been told to stay quiet, if you're a pilot who's seen something strange
down on the ground, or if you're with the FBI, a federal agency, or working intelligence,
and you've stumbled upon something you're not allowed to talk about.
And if you're a firefighter, paramedic, or search and rescue responder,
who's heard screams or found tracks that didn't make sense,
if you're in the logging industry on a remote oil field or trucker with government contracts,
and you've had something happen that you've never told a soul,
and if you're a biologist, a wildlife specialist, or a field researcher under contract,
who has found evidence you're not allowed to report,
if you're a pastor, a missionary, or someone on a spiritual retreat,
and you saw something that shook your faith,
or if you work in the shadows, CIA, NSA, or anything with clearance,
and you've seen what the public hasn't,
then I want to talk to you.
