I believe out there in Colorado. So how are you doing today, Vincent? I'm doing pretty good. Thank you for having me on. This is probably the first actual time I've ever had anyone take this seriously, I guess. I don't know if I would call it,
Starting point is 00:03:20 I've listened to your show before. I don't know if I would call it as much of like a face-to-face encounter, but something that happened to me that I haven't really talked about. I buried it back into my mind and still think about it multiple times a week and just not really sure what it was that I saw, but I'm looking forward to having this conversation with you today. Absolutely. Everything that is shared helps figure out the puzzle that we're all trying to figure out is how I view this. And the most important thing is that you're able to get this off your chest, right? So Vincent, I'm going to go ahead and give this over to you. Feel free and share what we need to know and take us through what happened, please. All right. So I'm trying to
Starting point is 00:04:10 figure out where I should even start this story. I grew up in Massachusetts. During the start of the pandemic, I really needed a change of scenery. I was working in downtown Boston at the time. Full time, I'm in sales. And I, during the start of the the pandemic, my office I closed down and my manager basically said, we're never going to reopen the office again. It doesn't make sense financially. He pretty much said, you can go work remotely, you can live wherever. This is an opportunity for you to take any type of career change, whatever you're interested in. And I had visited Colorado once, grew up skiing, and just really had a passion for that and I always wanted to do a road trip. So I took it as an opportunity to
Starting point is 00:05:00 just pack up everything that I had and just said, I'm just going to give it a try. So I moved out to Colorado, didn't have a place to live, just really went out on a win there and moved from Boston to Colorado right at the start of the pandemic in about 2020, end of 2020. And I got in touch with a mutual friend who had housing in Breckenridge, which is a really popular ski town, I'm sure. All of your listeners, or most of your listeners are familiar with it. I had been visited once before. I never expected to live in a ski town. I had really no idea what was going to come of it, but I was very excited.
Starting point is 00:05:44 And yeah, I basically just asked one of my best friends. I said, would you be down to go on a road trip with me to Breckenridge, Colorado? He said, let's do it. So drove out to Colorado, and just that's what started my excitement about the future and spent the past four years, three and a half years living in Breckenridge. And a lot of ups and downs and living in a ski town can really be kind of a lot to take in, especially going from living in downtown Boston to all of a sudden kind of dealing with the culture of a ski town. It was fun at times, but it wasn't at others.
Starting point is 00:06:25 And one of the things that I really wanted to embrace more was the nature, because that's something that I just wasn't used to. Spent most of my time when I wasn't working, just taking my friend's dog on hikes. And that was something that I loved to do. It really helped clear my mind. Sorry if I sound nervous, by the way. This is like the first interview I've probably ever done regarding this. I've told a few people.
Starting point is 00:06:51 about it before, but they didn't really take anything that I had said seriously. So I pretty much just stopped talking about it. But on this particular day, this was last year, so pretty recent. We have what's called mud season in Breckenridge, and anyone who's familiar with ski towns will know what that's all about. It's essentially when all the snow kind of starts to melt. The roads get really muddy and it's a lot of folks leave town and it's a dead time of season for folks that live in a ski town. So I was still working and just wondering what the future was going to hold for me. I had gotten some news and my career was, I'm not sure what was going to happen with my career. So I went over to my friend's house that I had made over there in Brack and he had a beautiful Australian
Starting point is 00:07:48 that I loved. She was just the sweetest dog in the world. So incredibly smart. Play with her all the time. On this particular day, I called up my buddy and I just said, hey, man, I'd love to come over and just go for a hike with your dog, if that's cool. And you said, yeah, absolutely, come by, grab the dog, take her for a hike, whatever you need to do. I'm here for you. So it was March, late March. early April, it was a foggy, rainy day up in the mountains, quiet time of year. That early April kind of time for, I couldn't tell you the exact date. I don't remember. But this particular time of year, it was just a very foggy, rainy, cold, dreary day.
Starting point is 00:08:41 We didn't have a whole lot of snow. And I drove over to my buddy's house, picked up his dog, and I drove to, just my usual spot, which is this old mine that is up this long dirt road. On the drive up, yeah, I mean, this is a drive I've done many, many times. This is my usual spot. I love this spot because I know the trails. During the day on a Saturday, in the summer, I mean, there's the lots full. There's people, kids, cars, people love going to the spot.
Starting point is 00:09:21 They really enjoy it because it's so unique. But there was no one there. I drove up, I parked. There wasn't a single car around. I didn't even see a car. The whole drive up there. Get out of the car and his dog jumped out of the car. She loves to play fetch.
Starting point is 00:09:42 So usually what I'll do is I'll just pick up a stick and I'll just throw it her up the trail so she's running up the trail and then getting the stick and then bringing it back to me and that's our routine the first thing that was weird about this day was is just i mean just the mood was was different at first i don't know if i was getting in my own head about it but the second i got out of the car the air just felt heavy it was drizzling out it was foggy which was also just a little bit creepy. I mean, the whole time I was just riding everything off. This is just one of the foggier, rainier days that I've been up here. But regardless, his dog was in a playful mood. So I just figured everything was fine.
Starting point is 00:10:34 So I'm throwing the stick up the trail, and we're just trucking along as we usually do. And I'm looking out at my 12 o'clock, And it was bizarre because the fog had created this really unique gradient of the trees that I could see. So as I'm walking up, I'm noticing that the trees that are closest to me are completely black. And then the trees just behind that at about 10 yards past those trees are a little bit more gray. grayish in tone and then the trees behind that are even more gray and then you can't really see past that because of the fog.
Starting point is 00:11:25 And I'm just, you know, just doing as I usually do walking up this trail and I'm a concealed carry guy. I conceal in the state of Colorado. You have to go through training and whatnot. But regardless, if I'm going on a trail like this, I usually conceal carry just because We have mountain lions and things like that and black bears and even there's a bunch of moose in Breckenridge as well. And really it's more for animals just in a self-defense scenario. But I had honestly completely forgot about that.
Starting point is 00:12:00 I had a instant feeling of like, I want to say, if you've ever experienced an adrenaline dump, you get tunnel vision. And I've had tunnel vision before with a completely different scenario that had happened to me when I was really, really scared about something completely unrelated and the same thing had happened. You really get hyperfocused. The woods went completely silent. I mean, when I had gone out of the car, I could hear the rain hitting the mud puddles as I was walking up. but as I continued up the trail, it just hit me out of nowhere. I had an instant feeling of terror. I can't really explain it, but I was getting tunnel vision and I started to really panic.
Starting point is 00:12:55 I have no idea at this moment where the dog was. I had completely forgot that she was even with me, and that sounds terrible, but I think it was sort of a fighter flight response to whatever was happening. happening to me. And I want to say when you're experiencing this kind of anxiety, you start to go back and forth in your head about what's going on. Why am I feeling this way? This isn't normal. But then there's also that other side of you that's saying, you're fine. You walk this trail all the time. You're good. I looked at about my one o'clock. And in that first kind of row of trees, trees that I'm looking at, they're completely black. And I could see very clearly, now these
Starting point is 00:13:51 trees are narrow. They're not, they're not these huge redwood or oak trees that you would see. They're tall and skinny trees. And they strip a lot of the bottoms of the trees. I don't know if that's natural. I'm not a tree expert, but you can see through these trees. So I'm looking, and I see what looks like a round object on the side of this one tree. It's completely black, jet black, and it stood out like a sore thumb. And it was very awkward because it wasn't like every other tree that I was looking at. What is this? What am I looking at here?
Starting point is 00:14:35 Is this like a raccoon or something on the side of this tree? I have no idea. my heart was pounding. I don't know why I was so nervous. What am I looking at here? And that's when it moved. This thing had, I don't know if it was sideways against the tree. So I couldn't see it.
Starting point is 00:15:01 But this figure, it looked, it was in the shape of a man. I would say I saw what looked like an arm reach out and it grabbed the other pine tree that was next to it and it crouched and in one fluid motion as if it was on a conveyor belt moved from one tree to the other tree facing me the whole time. I mean, as you can probably hear, I'm nervous just talking about it because I haven't really, I'm reliving this now. My hair on my arm is standing up in the back of my neck. It moved like a ghost. I don't know how else to explain it. It was like a man, but it was like it moved so fluidly. If you've ever watched any kind of movie or something like that, you would horror movie, for example,
Starting point is 00:16:05 if there's a ghost or something, you think of a ghost floating. That's with the way it moved, but it was like a man, and it was completely jet black, and it was lanky. It was long. It wasn't stocky. I wasn't looking at something that it was tall. I could see it crouched down, and it did this U-shaped. Imagine if you were holding onto one tree. and you crouched your knees a little bit
Starting point is 00:16:38 and then pulled yourself back up as if you were holding onto the tree for support. These trees were at least eight feet apart. Bigfoot Society will be right back after these messages. It always happens right before the whistle. There's a little voice that says, what if I mess up? What if I'm not ready?
Starting point is 00:17:04 I see a whole highlight reel of everything I don't want to happen. Missed shots, turnovers, letting my team down. And for a second, There's doubt. But then, I realize I've done enough to be where I'm at. The early mornings, the extra reps, the days I wanted to quit and didn't. So, I smile. Self-doubt is natural, but my smile is a reminder that I'm resilient.
Starting point is 00:17:31 To put more smiles out into the world, Colgate has supported female athletes for over 50 years with the Colgate Women's Games. The Colgate Women's Games is the nation's longest running indoor track and field series for girls and women. Colgate, your smile is your strength. Plan B made over-the-counter emergency contraception legal more than 20 years ago. It's a safe, effective backup birth control option that helps prevent pregnancy before it starts by temporarily delaying ovulation. Plan B is the number one OBGYN recommended brand, and the only one that you can find at all major retailers in all 50 U.S. states. There's no minimum age requirement and you don't need an ID to buy it. You can order it through DoorDash and other major delivery platforms, too.
Starting point is 00:18:22 That's freedom to be. Use as directed. Folks knew the Colonel approved of his new honey-chilly crisp and jalapeno ranch sauces the moment he tasted them and said, That's right. No notes. Just absolute silence. Turns out some flavors don't need explaining.
Starting point is 00:18:44 They just need dipping. It's saucy season at KFC. With new honey chili crisp and jalapena ranch, get dipping with a boneless bucket. Today. Prices in participation vary. I have no idea. I didn't go back and measure the trees. I actually never went back to the spot. But the whole time that this is happening, I am, I mean, tunnel vision is probably the best way I can explain it. I'm sure I was white as a ghost. I was staring at this thing that just moved from one tree to the next.
Starting point is 00:19:24 and then went to the other tree and I don't know if it was paralleling or standing sideways against the other tree when it had got there, but I didn't see it anymore. I was terrified. I don't, there's no other way to explain it. I at this point, I'm shaking, I'm looking down. I'm looking for my friend's dog. I, there's like a million thoughts going through my head. And also at the same time, the only thing that I can think is just get out of here, just leave as quick as possible without turning around and sprinting out of there. I wanted to, but I really, I couldn't. I don't know. It sounds crazy to even say, even now as I'm saying it to you, I'm feeling like, was this, I still relive this sometimes. When I'm just going about my normal day, what did I, what was that? What the hell did I see? It wasn't there.
Starting point is 00:20:25 It was not a man. There's there's no way it was manlike in the sense that I saw that round object that I had seen was its head. It was peeking out from behind that tree observing me, which is terrifying to even think. I don't know if it had saw me when I had parked my car and walked up. Was that initial fear that I had? Was that some type of response that? was from this thing that I was seeing. I don't know. I couldn't see eyes. I couldn't see hair. I couldn't see any of those details that I for the for this I'm sure I've listened to your
Starting point is 00:21:07 show a lot of folks that you have on they have these encounters and they're they're telling you the color of the eyes and this and that I this wasn't like that. This was a just I don't know what it was I wish I knew, but I was terrified. The dog was right by my feet the whole entire time, had no idea. She was, from what I remember, was just sitting there staring at the same thing I was. She, you know, I mean, she wasn't doing anything extremely abnormal, but she was still, and that's unusual for her. She was sitting within a foot of my left leg, just sitting there. I grabbed his dog.
Starting point is 00:21:56 I picked her up. We paced out of there, got back to the car. I turned the car on. I was looking up into that trail where I just was. I didn't see it. Still felt that feeling of get out of here. And that's exactly what I'm. I did. I just turned the truck on, turn the key over, and drove out of there and never went back.
Starting point is 00:22:26 That was one of my favorite trails. I, there's, what I did after went back to my friend's house, didn't go in his house or anything, just dropped his dog off and went back to my apartment and just basically got in bed and didn't, and was just thinking, am I insane? Am I losing my mind? I'm not insane. I'm not a crazy person. I've never had anything like this, not even remotely close.
Starting point is 00:23:00 I work for a really well-known tech company. I have a really good position. I work with a lot of high-profile individuals. I could never have anything like this come out And God forbid, they find out that anything like this I'm even saying to you, I don't tell anyone this. I've told, I tried to tell my sister. She's someone that I consider not only, obviously family, but she's my best friend and tried to even talk to her about this. And she says, oh, you saw a homeless guy, a homeless black guy in the woods.
Starting point is 00:23:37 and I just chuckled at the time. Anyone that knows Breckenridge, and this isn't in any way, shape, or form to make anyone feel any type of way. There's no homeless people in Breckenridge. There's also no black people in Breckenridge. And I'm not saying that as a joke. It's the reality. I'm not to make anyone feel any type of way.
Starting point is 00:24:06 It also just is not what I saw. There's no way any human could move like this. I feel like I'm rambling right now. I'm sorry, but that's the extent of what I saw. I don't know what else to say. But yeah, that's pretty much it, Jeremiah. This has affected me in a sense that I don't enjoy being in the woods. I used to love it.
Starting point is 00:24:29 When I first got to Colorado, that was all I wanted to do was go hiking and go to the trails. alone. I love putting in headphones and going for a walk in the woods. I have my own dog now. I actually got an Australian Shepherd because I love that breed so much. I just, I won't, I won't go on trails where, you know, I know that if I'm going to be alone, I could see something like this again. I mean, it really affected me. I'm sure you can hear it in my voice too now and I'm just talking about it. It's hungry living it. But that's, I mean, that's pretty much how there is do it. Yeah, I guess that's all I really have to say about that experience.
Starting point is 00:25:14 Thank you so much. I can definitely, you can tell there's some interviews where the witnesses is very affected. I can tell you definitely have been affected a great deal by what you saw. And I'm thankful that you were able to finally share with, to get, literally get it off your chest, but to share with others that might be dealing with a similar thing as well. Do you mind if I ask you a few questions about that day? Yeah. Yeah. I'm happy to, I'm happy to answer any questions you have.
Starting point is 00:25:54 Did you notice that there were any smells in the area when you were out there? I didn't notice any smells. there it was other than that crisp clean air you get in the mountains no smells just i did the feeling of being watched is very very real i know there's been studies on it that i looked into i mean that's what you do when you have something like this you you search for answers on your own and that's what i've done i've looked into all types of whatever answers i could could get i didn't arrive at the, I wasn't thinking Bigfoot when this happened. It wasn't until after I listened to what I could find on YouTube through your show. There's other shows out there as well that I've listened to. And I've
Starting point is 00:26:47 actually heard that similar things there, you don't always see this big kind of lumbering. You think it sounds even silly to say, whatever you see on like the commercials of the, the jokes they make about Bigfoot. Everyone's seen them. What's this big, lumbering? Just 10 foot tall creature. It's huge. It smells horrible. But what I saw was stealthy. It was dynamic. In the way that it moved, it was intentful. In the way that it moved, it was, it was like there was an ice cube on the back of my neck from the second I got out of that car. And that's the only feeling that I had. But like I said, I was writing it off the whole time. I was just, I don't know, from the second I got there, something just felt very, very off. I've done this trail hundreds of times. I mean, it was extremely unusual,
Starting point is 00:27:47 the feeling that I had. It sounded like you definitely went on, you've been going on your own journey to try to figure stuff out after this. Did you do any research to look to see if there had been any other sightings in that same area of Colorado? I've looked. I looked at the same area. So Summit County is the county, the overarching county of the town of Breck where I lived. But it's so, I mean, there were, I, there was only one siting that I could find. And that was, it was not in the same town.
Starting point is 00:28:32 But there was one, I think it was in 2010, that someone had reported seeing a creature of some sort in Summit County. It didn't mention the town, though, so it could have been any town. But, I mean, it sounds rude, and I'm not trying to be rude at all. When you read someone else's encounter, it's, you know, I mean, you don't get the same, you know, you don't, you know, you don't, You just don't get the same feeling as you do when you listen to someone. And that's what I've been doing is just trying to listen to as many as possible. I've stopped listening to them. I mean, honestly, I wish I could, I wish, I mean,
Starting point is 00:29:18 I wish none of this that even happened, to be honest with you. I wasn't going out looking for any of this type of thing. I didn't never, was never something I thought about. I mean, I'm very career focused. It's not something that I research or look into. After this happened, it was like I needed answers. And I just did what I think anyone would do in my situation, which is don't really tell anyone because you'll probably get looked at very weird
Starting point is 00:29:47 and just do the research on your own. And that's what I did. But no, there was only one citing. But, you know, something that I think people don't talk about is these ski towns, you think of a ski town, right, like any ski town in Colorado. The first thing that comes to mind is
Starting point is 00:30:10 they're rich people, right? Just people there vacationing, people walking around Main Street. Well, you leave Main Street and you start driving down any of these roads in mud season. I mean, there's some really, really remote areas that you can get into.
Starting point is 00:30:30 one of my ex-girlfriends lived in a neighboring town and I mean in her backyard alone you you walk up the hill I mean you you'll literally just go forever in the woods you'll get lost out there when you're on a chairlift for example if you're skiing I mean you're looking around and it's just endless the the space out there it's it's insane I mean you're looking around and there I mean you can't there's got to be millions of millions of trees. It's just endless, endless mountains and trees. I mean, you think you're, some of these people that get lost. I mean, I've been listening to a lot of David Politis. I really like his approach to a lot of this. I think he has a really open mind and his, his story is incredible. I could listen to him for days, but skiers go missing all the time, snowboarders go missing. I mean, this kind of thing happens. You go off the trails somewhere. You end up in the middle of nowhere. You have no idea where you are. So it's just, it's been, it's been a trip for me to say the least. I've been, I don't know. It's just, it's weird.
Starting point is 00:31:45 I don't know what to make of it still. There's no way. There's, there's absolutely no way on earth what I saw as a person. No way. It, it did not move like a person. This was something else. I have no idea what, but yeah, it's just the way that it moved was the creepiest thing I've ever seen in my life. Have you ever seen that movement replicated in anything else that you've seen
Starting point is 00:32:11 like on television or anything I thought? That's a good question. I don't think I have. I can't say that I have seen it because if someone was to try to remake it, that I don't know how they would because I could see it reach out from behind that tree go behind reach out behind the other tree almost as if it was holding onto it before it
Starting point is 00:32:51 didn't just walk out like into the middle of the two trees and it wasn't like it was just standing there it was intently creeping from one tree to the other. Bigfoot Society will be right back after these messages. It always happens right before the whistle. There's a little voice that says, what if I mess up? What if I'm not ready?
Starting point is 00:33:25 I see a whole highlight reel of everything I don't want to happen. To put more smiles out into the world, Colgate has supported female athletes for over 50 years with the Colgate Women's Games.
Starting point is 00:34:00 The Colgate Women's Games is the nation's longest running indoor track and field series for girls and women. Colgate, your smile is your strength. Plan B made over-the-counter emergency contraception legal more than 20 years ago. It's a safe, effective backup birth control option that helps prevent pregnancy before it starts by temporarily delaying ovulation. Plan B is the number one OBGYN recommended brand and the only one that you can find at all major retailers in all 50 U.S. states. Starting point is 00:34:40 You can order it through DoorDash and other major delivery platforms too. That's freedom to be. Use as directed. In the way that it crouched a little bit, I could see in between its legs. I could see the in between the fog. It was unlike anything I've ever seen. I've never seen it replicated it. It just didn't move like anything I've seen.
Starting point is 00:35:16 That's a similar story to a lot of people will mention that the way it moves is like nothing they've ever seen. it glides, it's smooth, it almost floats above the ground in the way that it's so smooth. Just very, very interesting. And it'll be hopefully someday we'll get some solid answers about what causes that, how it does that. But something I did want to point out, and I'm not sure if you're familiar with the website or the organization, the BFRO, which is a Bigfoot Field Researchers organization. So it's like a- Yeah, that's the website. I used, yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:55 Got it. To look up. Looking at Summit County, Colorado, as of today, when we're talking in 2024, it looks like there's actually Class A reports for Summit County going all the way back to the 1960s, which is pretty incredible. They're all Class-A, which means those are visual sightings, right? The person actually saw a creature. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:19 So you may be, you may be closer to a place. that has quite a history to it than you realize. But it's just, it's very interesting. And I'd be curious if listeners have also heard things in the Summit County or Breckenridge area, they're welcome to reach out as well. But I would say, you're just trying to figure stuff out and trying to just move on, it sounds like. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:51 Yeah. I mean, it's absolutely. I am trying to move on. It's tough, though, because in the back of your mind, you still have that, you still have that fear. And it's, it sucks, to be honest, because sometimes you feel like you can't really, I mean, I've gone down a bit of a rabbit hole since all of this. And listening to all of these 4-1-1 missing, these, these David Politis, his investigations that he's done. I mean, it's scary, to be honest. I don't want to feel that way.
Starting point is 00:37:31 I don't want to feel creeped out. I don't want to be that kind of person that's anxious. Just want to go, like, enjoy a walk with my dog, wherever. And the Summit County thing that you bring up is interesting. I think the last time I looked at that up specifically is I've gone down more of the, I've been listening to your show. lot and I think what you're doing is great. I love your approach and I think this interview style is the best way that we can at least get some people to come forward and say, hey, this is what I saw. I'm not
Starting point is 00:38:08 saying specifically this is what it is. I mean, you have people that say this is exactly what I saw. I saw big foot. I saw it was like its eyes were red. I can't I don't know what I saw. I just it it's reassuring to know that other people have seen similar things. I mean, this, it was, like, it was lanky. I don't know. It was not this big, like, broad-looking thing. It was definitely bigger than you and I, but it was long. It was like, it was just creeping in the way that it moved.
Starting point is 00:38:51 I don't know. I have no doubt it was bigger than you and I, but I didn't get this kind of full front. I didn't want to go shake hands with it. Oh, yeah. I don't know. Were you able to see any details from the silhouette of it, like a shape of the head or length of the arms or anything I thought? Yeah, it had a point. It had a, I don't remember what they call it.
Starting point is 00:39:22 It had a, not a pointy head, but you know what, I can't remember what it's called. I could see its head. It was roundish, but, you know, you could tell the top of it was had that cranium type look to it, almost like, you know, where the head, so when it was, when that round object that I was looking at on the side of that tree, I mean, I was writing it off. I was thinking, raccoon, I don't know what I was thinking. It was stuck to the side of the tree. But that's what I had later put together as that.
Starting point is 00:39:58 That was its head. It was looking at me. And then when it turned and went facing me, you could see its shoulders. And like I said, I could see through its legs. So it stuck its leg out and it had crouched down and it was holding onto that other tree. And when it moved from one tree to the other, it was pulling itself up to that other tree and then going sideways again. which is weird because why would it why would it was it trying to hide but why would it pull itself out in front of me and where I could see the front of it I'm looking at a
Starting point is 00:40:36 silhouette of it by the way I'm looking at it's a head shoulders incredibly long arms I didn't get any details on the legs but I can see the lights from coming through its legs so I could see its legs but I couldn't other than that I couldn't give you any details it was just completely jet black I mean it stood out like a sore thumb I mean there was no doubt about it yeah that is very very interesting details um after the after the citing and then you know you went back to your apartment and trying to figure things out yeah did any did anything out of the ordinary or weird things start to happen around your apartment or in your life, just anything out of the ordinary? So I lived on one street away from the main strip. So where I
Starting point is 00:41:47 live specifically, I don't live in Breck anymore, by the way, but where I had lived then was, a busier area. I didn't experience anything out of the normal other than, I mean, I never went back. I never went back with a measuring tape and did any follow-up there as part of me. I mean, I could go there right now. I live in Gold and Colorado now. I mean, I could drive up there and be there in an hour and a half and take a measuring tape. I could still tell you the exact tree that it happened on.
Starting point is 00:42:22 I could take anyone there. I don't want to go back. not at least if I'm with other people in the broad daylight. Even then, I mean, I don't know. I've never been back since nothing else really out of the norm happened to me. I can't say anything else happened other than internalizing that experience and just, like I said, going back and forth, trying to write it off. I think that's a normal reaction to try to.
Starting point is 00:42:56 feel like what happened yet it's it was just this it was just that and it just it wasn't that I just I can't bring myself to normalize any of what happened that day it was very out of the ordinary it was terrifying I mean it's affected me negatively I mean it hasn't caused me to want to go out and look for these types of things I don't want to experience. I want to forget about all of it, to be honest with you. No one's ever taken me seriously when I've talked about this, by the way. I mean, you tell, I mean, your own family, they weren't there. I don't know. I don't even know if it would have happened. I can't say. I don't know if it was just curious and there, there seemed to be malicious intent. It did not,
Starting point is 00:43:54 you know, invoke a good feeling. It definitely didn't want me there. whatever it was. It just sucks. You try to find answers and you try to talk to people. And sometimes it's the people that you love the most that just write you off. It sucks. I get it, Vincent. When I went out to Oregon this last summer, I made the mistake of being really excited when I came back and telling a lot of people who are not into Bigfoot.
Starting point is 00:44:26 And unfortunately, a lot of people think I'm just absolutely crazy. crazy now. And so I get that where it's like having that constant thinking in your mind where it's like, okay, if I tell this person, how are they going to react to this? Can they handle it? How am I? What's the, what's the consequence is going to be in my future life if I share this with this particular individual? And you have to constantly be thinking that. It's just, it is not a fun situation to be with. So I'm glad that you go ahead. Yeah. Yeah. I'm sorry. I had a friend tell me, so growing up in Massachusetts, my grandmother lived on Cape Cod, and we used to go to this island called Nantucket a lot. I'm not sure. I'm sure your listeners have heard of it, but it's a really old. It's an island off the coast of Massachusetts. It's beautiful. Growing up, we would go there from time to time. And I had a friend who had a really scary, he says it was a. a ghost encounter. There's a lot of interesting history around Nantucket because it dates back to a lot of, I don't know if you would call them pirates, old sailors. I mean, back when the whaling industry was huge, it was a place where a lot of whalers would stop. And there's a lot of lore around Massachusetts. I'm not sure if you've ever heard of the Bridgewater Triangle and things like that. I never, I always thought it was interesting. Yeah, I've always thought it
Starting point is 00:45:58 was interesting. If someone was to come up to me that I, you know, I, someone that I would consider a friend, I would always hear them out. You know, I wouldn't instantly write them off and try to come up with other things that it was. You know, I think the best thing you can do is just listen to someone, and that's the approach that you take. If someone was to come up to me and say a similar or even any type of story, I mean, I would always approach it with an open mind. I wouldn't just instant try to write it off. I mean, this isn't, like I said before, this isn't something I was ever looking for. I didn't want, I didn't go out looking for this type of thing.
Starting point is 00:46:39 I went out to clear my head with my friend's dog on a hike that I do millions of times. Just so happened that this day was very different. Well, Vincent, thank you for taking some time and for sharing with, everyone listening what you've experienced. I hope that someday you can get to the point where you can go back into the woods and enjoy nature. Have you ever considered maybe going out with a group as a way to get accustomed to it again rather than just yourself? Yeah, that's actually the only time I'll go out. There's so many trails around where I live now.
Starting point is 00:47:28 I just, I don't know, I won't go out alone. It sounds embarrassing to even say out loud, to be honest with you. This is the first time I've ever actually admitted it, but I would just prefer to be with a couple people. And then now I'm reading about David Politis and he's talking about how people in the back of the group are there one second and then they disappear. So there's just so much we don't know.
Starting point is 00:47:57 and that's what I'm realizing. I don't know if you've ever listened to this one encounter. It's a woman from England. She saw what she thought were cats on the beach because they were moving so weird. And then they stood up and they were screaming at her. And she had what you would say as a class to encounter. But her encounter is so terrifying that I don't think I would ever be able to recover from that. I mean, there's no doubt about what she saw because she had a face-to-face encounter.
Starting point is 00:48:25 but I don't know. There's clearly things we don't know. A lot of disappearances in Colorado. I don't want to be one of them. I just want to work and hang out with my dog and my friends and just live a normal life. That's pretty much it. It's definitely a good idea if you're going to go out into the woods to probably be in a group or have someone know where you're going, share a location, all that good stuff.
Starting point is 00:48:57 That's me talking to everyone. Yeah. I wanted to ask you, so have you talked to anyone on your show? You have so many episodes. I wish I had time to listen to them all. Trust me. Anything similar that you talk to anyone about from what I experienced? I just think.
Starting point is 00:49:22 There have been individuals that definitely say the smooth movement or the pulling itself from tree to tree. I think there's a gentleman in southeast Oklahoma who mentioned that. Actually, that happened in northwest Arkansas by the Buffalo River. That was more than a few years ago.
Starting point is 00:49:46 But no, it's a thing where the way you're explaining how the creature is moving, that has, I have heard that more than a few times. And not just on my show. I've heard it on others. So I think it's probably one of those things that if we get to the point where
Starting point is 00:50:02 we're able to observe, really observe a specimen. I think that's one of the definite things that we will notice. Like, okay, that's how it's moving smoothly. Look, if there's trees, it is pulling itself from tree to tree. That's how it moves across. And it's just one of those things where, you know, the main reason I do this is so that people like yourself can have a way to get off their chest and hopefully start to gain control of the situation.
Starting point is 00:50:37 But I said this in an interview the other day where it's like hopefully myself and other podcasts like Saskatch Chronicles and Brian from the Sasquatch Odyssey and all those guys and Miguel from Sasquatch Theory. If we just keep pouring, pouring stuff content into the bathtub, eventually it'll get to the point where it's going to overflow and go everywhere and people. can't look past it anymore. And it's just going to be. So that's, I hope, a side product of putting out all this, this content as well,
Starting point is 00:51:10 is that it just starts to really get recognized. We'll see, we'll see what happens in the future, though. Yeah. Well, I find it interesting that it, from the encounters that I've listened to that are the most compelling, it seems to always be from the individuals that don't really have any knowledge about it, don't go out looking for it. They don't have the, what am I looking to say here? They don't, you know, they're not interested in the topic.
Starting point is 00:51:38 You know, some of the episodes that I've listened to that really stood out were, you know, just kind of ordinary everyday people that aren't researchers. They're not going out, banging on trees and trying to figure out how can I lure this thing in. It's just the everyday people that, whether it be fishermen, hunters, I mean, I don't know. know. I find it weird that, like, I mean, some people go out looking for it when they bring cameras and they do everything they can and I respect it. I do respect it. I think anyone that's passionate about what they're doing and they put all their effort into it is really something to, there's something to be said about that. I respect that. I also find it interesting that it seems to be the folks that aren't looking for it, that then come forward and say,
Starting point is 00:52:31 I had this experience and then it changed my life, you know? It's just, it's bizarre to me. Absolutely. Absolutely. The people that have nothing to gain that are just normal, everyday people, or the people that are out there looking, but also have the right intentions and the right motivations as well. I think that plays a lot into it.
Starting point is 00:52:52 They're not out there to get famous and bagged the next one. I mean, that's not going to happen. It's not going to happen to those people, to be quite frank, from what I've found talking to people over the years. So Vincent, man, it has been such a privilege to talk to you. And thank you so much for coming on the show. If there's anything I can ever do to help or you ever have any questions, please feel free to reach out in your future. Thank you so much. I really appreciate it.
Starting point is 00:53:27 You have no idea. I mean, even now, I'm feeling very better about the whole situation. It's really nice to talk to someone. Just put it out there. I really appreciate it.
