It was so hard this hit on the side of the truck that it rocked the truck left and right to the point where my feet lifted off the bed.
A truck driver pulls off into the high desert around three in the morning at least 40 miles from the nearest town.
He's trying to sleep when three knocks come from the side of a semi, and every time he turns on the lights, there's nobody there.
What happens over the next hour makes him leave.
I'm Jeremiah Byron, and this is Bigfoot Society.
Hi, my name is Matthew.
I'm a truck driver.
I'm 35 years old.
So this is a bit of a long story.
It kind of starts in the Alabama, you know, Georgia region and ends in Utah.
So I've been a truck driver five years now.
And my first trip, my first year out, I was on my first kind of cross-country trip.
I'm from Chicago.
and I went to New York,
cooked up a load,
took it all the way down in Florida,
go up to Georgia,
and normally,
when you're kind of run out of hours
and you want to sleep,
you just take a highway on-ramp,
off-ramp.
And so I take an off-ramp
and I opened the passenger door
to kind of stand on the railing there
and I would peeve, you know,
obviously if it was dark out
and I could get away with it.
And there's a big fence in front of me
and cut out and, like,
you know, someone's a ranch, but it's way out the edge of their ranch.
So I could see one little light post kind of off in the distance.
And what look like either cattle or horses or something just kind of milling around.
And there's one I'm kind of looking at as I'm doing my business.
I'm looking at one that seems like it's directly under the light.
And I could see something on all fours, right?
Big and round like it would be a cow.
and next thing I noticed, the two front paws or legs whatever kind of go up.
So now it looks like a human that's bent over doing the touch your toes pose, but it's got his hands to its side.
And I could see the head kind of shifting towards my direction.
And honestly, I didn't stick around much after that.
It freaked me out.
I've listened to Bigfoot and stuff like that for years and enjoy it.
it like as sleep fodder, you know, I'll put it on and whatnot.
My uncle had an encounter years ago and kind of just my interest peek from there.
So I jump back in the truck and drive down until I could reach a rest stop, went over my hours
and everything.
A couple of days later, I'm going down into Alabama.
I'm on an Alabama state route.
It was so long ago.
I forget a lot of the locations.
but it's a two-lane, you know, Alabama State route,
and the shoulder is just enough space for me to squeeze the truck in,
and I'm surrounded by force on either side,
and the forest is kind of overgrown and encroaching out onto the shoulder.
And I pull off, I got the windows open,
and I can hear it's maybe two or three in the morning,
and again, I'm going to jump out the pasture side, use the bathroom, and, you know, get back into the drive.
So I'm sitting there kind of doing my clock thing to stop it so I could jump out the pasture side.
And like I said, I mean, it's two in the morning.
There's nobody on this road.
It's pitch black.
And I could hear the sounds of the forest, you know, it's summertime, and you could hear the forest is alive.
And I jump out the pasture side, and this time I get off the truck and I get down on the forest.
onto the shoulder and kind of a, you know, a pace into the, you know, where the, the, uh,
force floor is kind of overgrowing. And I, I'm doing my business. And as I'm finishing, suddenly,
hair on the back of my neck stands up, everything goes quiet. I mean, I've never experienced
that feeling in my life. I'm talking, it was so quiet, it was deafening, if that makes sense.
I know it's an oxymoron, but I can feel this immense pressure from how quiet it was.
I mean, I'm telling you, just five seconds before I could hear crickets and this, that, the other,
and the wind rustling through it, and all this stuff, and then just suddenly get quiet,
and the hair stands up, and I just felt goosebumps.
I didn't even finish.
I, you know, zipped up, and I turned around and I, you know,
ran back into the truck. I mean, I made a mess on myself. It was that bad. Slammed it in gear and took off.
So, okay, I drive off and, you know, days go by. Entering into Flagstaff, and this is kind of different from the Bigfoot thing, but this was all on a single trip from New York, down to Georgia, across the Flagstaff, up into Utah, where ultimately ends.
and getting into Flagstaff
and there's a bit of a climb there
and as I'm climbing up the mountain
again it's late
you know I would always do my clock to where I would start driving
in the evening because you know ask any truck driver
night driving is so much better than day driving obviously
and I'm climbing and there's a
like an overpass but it's not actually
a highway overpass it's like a
I don't know if it's a pipe
something, whatever, but it's a concrete deal.
And I'm going up.
And to my right there is a forest.
I believe it's one of the natural forests over there.
It's probably like part of the Mogian Rim, something like that.
Again, I apologize that I don't know, you know, the places or the routes or anything like that by heart.
But anyway, so I'm surrounded by now, you know, this forest as I'm climbing.
and to my right, I'd say about 1 o'clock,
I could see a little bit of light coming in from the forest.
And it's like a streak.
It's like a bunch of rays of light.
Whatever's making the light is blocked by this overpass concrete deal.
And the shoulder barriers on the highway
is blocking the bottom of the forest.
I have this little, you know, six-inch, from my point of view,
six-inch area of the forest that I could see these light rays.
And I'm climbing, and I passed the little concrete overpass deal,
and now I could see the whole forest,
because now I'm above the forest floor.
And I couldn't believe what I was looking at.
I'm looking at a ball.
It's from my point of view, it was maybe,
you know, two, three hundred yards away.
So it was about the size of basketball from my point of view.
And I could see it spinning.
And there's this brilliant white light.
I mean, I've never seen pure, bright white light like that ever.
And I tell people this story and they just don't understand.
And I don't know how to make people understand how brilliantly white and pure this light was.
But the ball is spinning.
and I could see it shooting out, you know, it's not shooting out anything.
It's just the rays.
It's the light that's coming off this ball.
It's spinning in a counterclockwise rotation, and I could see the tops of the trees
illuminating as this light is kind of passing.
And it was amazing.
It was like a disco ball, and, you know, the tops of the trees are lightened up and darkening out.
Lightning up, darkening out.
And I'm, you know, I had a heavy load going up, you know, a six.
7% grade. So I'm going like 25, 30 miles per hour. So I had a lot of time to see this thing.
And I see it descending slowly down towards the bottom of the trees. And I got a perfect view of
this whole thing. And it's going down and I could see it like doing the 360, you know, lighting up
the trees all the way down on the floor and is there for a few seconds. And then it shoots straight
up into the sky. By the time it got to the tops of the trees, I mean, it accelerated so quickly
was gone. It deemed out.
And I mean, shoot, I got a, you know, I'm 80,000 pounds going up a mountain, and I'm perplexed.
Like, just, you know, I don't know what I saw, don't know what I was looking at.
People, they go, why don't you record it?
No, there's, you're not thinking of, oh, let me get my phone and record it.
And I was staring at this thing for solid 50 seconds.
I mean, more than enough time to grab my phone and recorded, but that's not what was going
through my head.
What was going through my head is, what is, I've never seen this before.
This, this isn't real, you know.
Days go by.
I deliver my load to Phoenix.
I got something going up north into California.
And then now I'm cutting across the Sierra Nevada's into Utah, you know, taking I-80 straight into Chicago.
I'm going back home.
Now, when I get into the mountains, it seemed like it took forever to cross into,
you know, Nevada
and, you know,
that whole area.
And I remember talking to my wife.
It must have been the first day.
And, you know, it's I-80,
I believe, and there's this flat stretch of highway
that just goes on forever.
And you're kind of up in the mountains.
And I remember having
this anxiety attack or pan attack
just out of nowhere.
And I remember calling my wife,
and I told her something's wrong.
Like something doesn't feel.
feel right. You know, I've
crisscrossed these mountains before.
I had been driving for a couple of months now up
into this point and had, you know,
crisscrossed the country already.
And I'm telling my wife,
something doesn't feel right. I feel
like I can't get out of these mountains. I feel
like I can't breathe being in these
mountains. And she's trying to calm me down and whatnot.
And, you know,
whatever. I rest.
I kind of get over it.
So,
that night I'm driving
and
I can't remember exactly where I was
I know I was in the mountains
I was
you know at the summit of something
I can't remember if I was
Utah that 84
that you went to Basin area
I-84 kind of intersects
but it's about
23 3 a.m.
There's a good stretch of
this highway where
you're you know
high desert
there's nothing there's no towns
there's nothing up there for a good
stretch
and there's a bunch of exits
on this highway up in the mountains
and you could take them
and it's really just access rows
really
and the exits kind of just
you take the exit and it's like a little
horseshoe deal and you go right back on the highway
and I would assume they're made for like truckers getting tired
so I'm tired it's 3 a.m.
I go, all right, I'm gonna, I still had some time, but I, you know, I'm gonna take a little nap, let the sun come out, I'll finish driving.
So I take one of these access roads.
I park up on the side, there's nobody around.
And I'm telling you, there's, it's a flat desert all around me.
I could look out either side of the window, and I'm looking maybe 10 miles, unobstructed.
Directly in front of me is the, you know, summit of this other mountain range.
and so, you know, there's all types of caves or whatever, I'm sure, in those mountains.
I'm directly in front.
I'd say about a half a mile.
So I park up and, you know, I get down into my boxers, my tank top, and I lay down in the back.
I lay down, and about 10 minutes go by, and I'm laying down where my head is, my pillow is right behind the driver's side.
and I hear a faint knock on the side of the truck,
the area of the truck right in between where my head is and the driver's.
It's a very faint knock, but it's a knock.
And it's not just a single knock.
It's a couple.
Doop, doop, doop, something like that.
I thought, oh, crap, there's a cop or someone going to tell me I got to move.
So I get up, I kind of peek my head out the curtain.
It's pitch blackout.
I don't see anything.
And I go, shoot.
And I sit on the driver's seat.
And I blast my window all.
the way down and turn on the runner lights and the light I had on the side, I could see, if I look
out my side mirror, I could see from basically where I'm sitting all the way down to the end
of the trailer in the back. That's how much it illuminates the entire side of the truck. And I could
see about 10 feet out, upwards on either side. And I'm looking and I don't see anything. And I got
both windows down. And I'm looking at both sides. I'm sticking my head out. That I miss somebody.
and a couple of seconds go by and I feel eerie and I go, you know, I shouldn't have the windows blast like this.
So I put the windows up, turn off the lights, and I lay back down.
I didn't realize I've gone so long, but I'm ending.
I'm running out of time, so I'll finish it for sure, I promise.
Part four, Matthew Ramosey.
Thank you.
Sorry.
All right.
Part four, the finale.
So, yeah, I have the windows down.
I'm looking out both sides, and I don't see anything.
anybody.
And I start feeling eerie.
Put the windows back up.
I go back down and lay down.
And a couple minutes go by.
I'm texting my wife here and there.
Just whatever.
A couple of minutes go by.
I click off the phone.
And again, I hear the knock.
One, two, three.
Same spot.
And I sit up.
And I go out the curtain.
And I hit the runner lights.
And I'm looking.
I don't see anybody.
All right.
Someone's messing with me.
You know, someone definitely is messing with me.
Now, mind you, it's 3 a.m. and I'm minimum 40 miles from civilization in either direction.
And there's nothing up here. And there's nobody around.
There's no trees, nothing like that. I mean, it's a high desert.
And I look around, hit the lights, I go back, lay down.
About 10 more minutes, and I hear the knock again.
But this time, it's on the passenger side, or as we can, you know, the blind side.
It's on the pasture side.
Same area in between where my head would be and the pasture seat.
One, two, three, knock.
I get up quick.
So I jump right up and I stick my head out the curtain again.
And I go, all right, this is ridiculous.
So I lay back down.
So this goes on for the next half hour where knocking is coming from various parts of the truck, the cab, specifically.
the door, not the window, the door, the side, a little behind me, on the pasture side.
I mean, it's going on it. Every single time, I'm jumping up and, you know, snatching open the curtain to see what's going on.
So 30 minutes this goes on. Every couple of minutes that's happening.
So finally, after 30 minutes, I go, this is ridiculous.
The wind is probably, you know, blowing like rocks or whatever to hit the truck.
It was wintertime, so it's like five degrees outside.
So I know there's nobody out there messing around this long.
And it wasn't that windy, but I just, you know, in my own head, I said, that's what it is.
And so another 15 minutes goes by, and now I'm finally, like, getting comfortable, and I got my spot, and I'm ready to sleep.
Again, the knock happens on the pasture side.
And I'm ignoring it.
I ignore it.
A couple of minutes later, it happens on my side, the driver's side.
Screw this.
I'm ignoring it.
And for the next 40 minutes, this knocking is happening every couple of minutes on either side of the truck.
But I've just decided I'm ignoring this because I want to sleep.
I need to get a couple hours in.
Sun's going to be up and I'm hitting the road.
So 40 minutes.
And this entire 40 minutes, I'm not sleep.
Because every time it's knocking, I'm trying to convince myself to not be scared, but I'm freaking out.
So finally, after the 40 minutes, all this like various knocking, and it's always the three, one, two, three, one, two, three, one, two, three, on every side.
Finally, 40 minutes, it goes quiet, and then out of nowhere, there's a banging on the side of the truck, on the, on the passenger side.
and it's so violent and strong the banging.
And it was as if, you know, a 7-foot 400-pound guy
ran full speed at the side of the truck
and slammed both his fists into it.
So much so that the truck rock rocked back and forth.
I mean, if you ever seen a semi-truck the cab,
if they're bob-tale without a trailer,
they kind of will sway when you're moving.
I don't know the technical terms.
And at that point, I got...
I almost cracked myself.
I jumped up, jumped in the driver's seat, ran the truck,
and didn't even let the air fill up.
I mean, I was dragging the trailer to go.
And as I'm driving off, I have the runner lights on,
and I could still, there's pounding now on the trailer
because the truck is moving.
And I'm staring at the pasture side of the trailer where the pounding is coming from.
And I see nothing, but I could see the trailer swing a little bit as I'm driving off,
like sections of it are being as if something standing there and pounding with both fists as I'm going.
It happened three more times where the banging was hitting the side.
Like I said, something was standing still and pounding with both fists on the side of the trailer.
And it happened in the front of the trailer.
It happened in the middle of the trailer and then it happened towards the back.
And again, the lights are shining all the way down the side.
So I'm looking at this thing.
And the entire time I'm driving off, I'm staring at that.
I didn't even see what was going on in my front.
to my little. Did none of that matter?
I got my eyes glued on my pasture
side mirror staring
at the trailer getting swayed by these
powerful strikes.
And, you know, that was it.
And just drove off and
kind of put it out of my
mind. But that was five years ago.
And I've avoided
those mountains as best
I could. As a matter of fact, last
winter, I took my five-year-old daughter
on a trip with me.
We were going from Chicago,
down to Utah, Salt Lake City, and right back.
And so, you know, I wanted to take my daughter.
It was a birthday.
She said she wanted to see the mountains.
And we stopped at a truck stop in the Uinta Basin.
As a matter of fact, it's a flying jay right there in the Uintra Bayesian.
And the entire drive-in I was thinking about the last time I had stayed in this area.
And I had a crazy nightmare that, I mean, we're in a truck stop surrounded by trucks.
I had the weirdest nightmare of something was just stalking me in the truck.
I was in my dream house by myself in just various areas,
but it was like this big black shadow entity that was just stalking me.
And that's all it was doing, but it was terrifying.
And I woke up, and it's like 6 a.m.
I woke up, I was terrified.
I mean, I was legit scared.
I jumped to the front to kind of see where I was, get my bearings straight.
A couple hours later, my daughter wakes up, and she's,
Daddy, I had a nightmare.
I said, well, what was it?
She goes, there was something chasing me in my dream.
It was very scary.
And I said, I don't want to come to this place anymore.
But back to the origins of what got into my Bigfoot appreciation.
It was my oldest brother's wedding.
And my uncle who came to this country in 1994 and really good mechanic, saved up his money,
opened up a mechanic shop, and opened up a couple in the Bay Area.
And his English never was really good.
He's since passed away, but his English was never really the best.
But he loved, like, American culture, and some of his employees were hunters,
and he would go up every year into the Sierra Nevada's with one of his employees,
and they would hunt, and he had a cabin up there.
And so at the wedding, me and my dad are having a drink, and we're talking to him,
and he tells my dad, you should come with us, you know, one year up in the mountains of hunting,
and my dad goes, I'm not a hunter.
I wouldn't be able to shoot an animal.
My uncle says,
ah, we ever rarely, you know, kill anything.
But it's fun to be up there in the mountains and have some beers and barbecue.
And my dad said, well, why aren't you worried about, you know, bears?
And my uncle says, oh, no, bears aren't a problem.
I never see bears up there.
I do see the mountain people every once in a while, but they're okay.
You know, you just ignore them.
They go about their business.
And my dad's like, what are you talking about mountain people?
Because, yeah, you see these guys, they're like cave.
men. You know, they're big, giant guys, and they kind of walk around all fours. You think it's a bear,
and they stand up and look at you, and I wave at them, and they turn around, they walk away. And my dad's
like, what are you talking about? He goes, yeah, up in the Sierra Nevada, they're like, they got cavemen
that live up there. They're like primitive peoples. They're covered in hair. They're big seven-feet
tall people. He goes, eh, they're hillbillies. Nobody bothers them. And my dad's, like, rapping
his biggest. What do you talk? I don't think that's real. He goes, yeah, yeah, I see him every year up there.
He goes, they never bothered me.
And my dad said, would you ever ask your employee about him?
He goes, yeah, he tells me, don't worry about them.
They're good people.
So that's kind of what piqued my interest.
And I ended up watching a Bigfoot video, and my dad had walked in and he goes, hey, this is what my, you know, your uncle was talking.
I go, yeah.
So that's where that started from.
And now, like I said, my uncle had no idea what Bigfoot is.
You know, never, you know, wasn't a drinker.
We have a few beers every blue moon.
but a great stand-up guy.
I mean, wasn't a liar.
It wasn't like, you know, just a really good, solid guy.
And if he's telling you there's eight-foot mountain people up there that are hairy and naked,
but they're okay, you know, you kind of took a minute's word for it.
So that's kind of what started my journey into it until I had my own experiences.
I don't know that it was Bigfoot or anything like that.
I didn't see anything, but based off of, like, the experiences,
it sure felt like a lot of the other stories I've heard.
So anyway, thank you for taking the time to listen.
I appreciate it.
Hi, Ray.
Hey, guy.
How you doing, man?
Hey, doing good.
Perfect.
Yeah, go ahead.
Feel free to share what you've experienced.
Yeah, I was a truck driver, man, and I was delivering up in Hickory.
I was working for a company out of Atlanta.
I had been up and down this.
It was kind of like, you know, in Hickory, we get off the major highway and then take like a side.
to get to the other to a warehouse and it but it went by a quarry you know so when I
say that I'm coming to the bottom of the road so it was a quarry and I've been by
this place you know so many times anyways it was I've never seen a bear alive but
when I pulled up on this thing at 2 a.m. in the morning this thing was standing
larger, it was looking at me eye to eye in my truck that I had to stop my semi, pull the brakes.
And I'm looking this thing straight in the eyes sitting in a semi.
You know, and I, you know, I'm thinking, okay, maybe I'm seeing a bear.
But the face on this thing, and it was really upset that I came up upon it.
It was the weirdest feeling of.
I've seen everything on the road.
It's 18 years of driving.
But I've never come across anything like this in my life.
That its face looked like an old man.
And the hair line on it was like way back.
Like it wasn't, it was the weirdest thing I've ever seen in my life.
It looked like a man, but it's standing 6'8, 6'9.
And it was upset that I.
I drove up on it with lights.
That even turned the truck off to look at it.
Didn't even think to take a picture.
I was in shock.
You know what I mean?
When you're looking at it?
Like, I thought it was a bear maybe.
Like, okay, I just drove up on a bear in the middle of the road.
Like, you could tell it was smelling something and looking around.
But it looked at me like I was upsetting it.
And we stood there for like three minutes.
You know what I mean?
That's the longest three minutes I ever looked at something.
I couldn't understand.
And I still try to explain this to everybody.
And they're like, oh, it's a bear.
I'm like, there's no bear that stands that tall.
Or it has that face.
I mean, I just hit green North Carolina.
I did a lot of research.
And that's a very high population for sightings.
But I know what I've seen.
I just can't explain it to nobody.
It didn't run off, you know, but it kind of bent over and kind of did like a hop off.
You know what I mean?
Like it didn't run upstanding, but it's still been over and so, you know, that was the problem, you know.
I mean, I just can't explain it.
And I knew I was by a quarry, you know, like very high populated.
You know, I come from Florida, so you're always going to run into animals around, you know, water, you know, in the woods.
I just can't explain what I've seen that night. It blew my mind.
So when you rode up on it, and you said it was about 6'8, so were you looking into, when you're sitting in your truck, were you looking into its chest or its face?
Its eyes straight, sitting in a semi.
I'm looking straight into its face. See that's the part that I can't say it wasn't a bear. A bear would have never been that tall.
Standing on the road on pavement, he's looking me in the eye. I mean, how do you explain that?
I mean, I'm looking them straight in. He's not concerned with me. There was no concern.
He was mad. I was there. Had the lights on him.
You know, I mean, I had to pull the brakes.
You know, when you pull air brakes on a semi, he didn't flinch.
There was no flinch.
He wasn't scared of me being there.
It just still is something I've told the story to many people.
How wide across were the shoulders?
See, that's what, you know, when you try to dive into what you're seeing in those five minutes, four minutes.
You know, I'm focused on the face because it looked like an old man.
Like the hairline was way far back on top of its head.
And I can't explain, but, you know, I just know that if I got out of my truck,
I would have stood to the middle of his chest, maybe.
You know what I mean?
I just, and he didn't flitch.
He didn't, that was the part of it.
I stood there.
We were in total silence because I turned the truck off, I pulled the brakes.
What made me do that?
I still don't know because I was just dumbfounded.
You know, I'm from Florida, so I've seen some things.
Were there parts of the face that were not covered with hair?
Like, there was just skin.
Yeah, his face was kind of bare.
You know what I mean?
Like, I know everybody tells me it's a bear, but there's nothing that tall.
But he had an old man's face.
You know what I mean?
Like a really distinctive...
Do you remember the color of the skin?
Well, I put it to a bore.
You know what I mean?
Like the hair.
It was very...
I don't know if you ever seen a very black,
very black coarse kind of hair.
You know what I mean?
Like it was very kind of thick.
You know, it was just...
But that's all I kept looking at was that the hair around his head and his eyes were distinctive.
But the hair was very coarse and short.
It wasn't long. Like you see Bigfoot.
Everything looks like he's this long-haired.
Yeah, this thing was totally different.
It was, I just, I mean, maybe I haven't seen enough bears in my life.
But I've just never seen anything.
This massive and intimidating.
it's a wild account and it sounds like it just eventually got bored and kind of went on its way
bored bored is the word like he was done with me like he was smelling i know when i pulled up on him he was
smelling he was you know when you see the head turning and he was trying to find some kind of smell
and i just kind of drove up in a semi come on man anything
else would have ran. This guy was not concerned with me. I, you know, full semi-breaks,
pull the brakes. There was no concern with me being there. He was, he was fixated on something.
He was trying to find food is what I was thinking, you know, like he was trying to chase
something. And I just kind of pissed them off. After you, you saw that, did you talk to your other
truck driver friends and see if anyone else had any
settings in the area? I went right to the guy at the warehouse
where I delivered to and he goes, oh yeah, they've seen, yeah, that's
normal around here. Like, Hickory, North Carolina is very common and I did all
the research and did everything, looked it up, and yeah, it's like, it's like,
you know, and then there's videos. If you look up Hickory, North Carolina,
And there's videos where they've seen them out in the woods.
So it's kind of just crazy.
I believe in it.
I mean, I wouldn't ever, listen, I wouldn't believe unless I've seen it with my own eyes, man.
And it's not a bear.
There was no bear.
There's no bear that stands as tall as to look into the eyes of being a semi, man.
That was the problem I had.
You know, standing upright.
It's a wild story and I thank you for sharing.
I'm glad I got this off my chest.
It makes me feel a lot better.
Thanks a lot, Ben.
Absolutely.
If anything else happens, feel free to reach out.
You can always email me directly at bigfoot society at gmail.com.
But thanks so much for sharing what you saw that night.
Thank you, brother.
Have a great day, man.
You too.
Hey, this is Jeremiah.
You were saying that you've had a sighting while you were hunting?
Yeah, it was back in the 90s.
I was bow hunting here in Colton, Oregon,
just not too far behind the house here up in the mountains.
And it was dusk.
And I would say another three, four minutes I wouldn't be able to shoot.
It was getting fairly dark.
And I hear this crashing just, I mean, loud, loud, like breaking branches.
and like it was something purposefully making lots of noise coming down the mountain
right towards where I was sitting in the bushes.
And I had full dress camouflage on.
I had a cover scent.
And it was basically following my scent.
So I just turned around and waited thinking, you know,
okay, this is a buck that's in rut.
He's mad.
And I raised up my bow and weight.
And the trail was 20 yards in front of me.
and the thing just came out of the forest right onto the trail and just stared at me for, I would say, probably two minutes.
I wouldn't say it was that tall, you know, maybe six foot or so, but it was really wide, wide shoulders.
And at first it was just holding perfectly still.
And then after about the one minute mark, it started weaving back and forth side to side like it was getting nervous.
and I just kept my bow on its chest.
I didn't have any intent to shoot it and to tell you the truth.
I didn't really have any feeling at all.
No fear, no anything.
It was kind of a blank moment.
It really can't explain it.
But after a second minute went by,
it just backed up very slowly right back into the forest where it came from
and just kind of disappeared into the darkness.
And then it made just as much.
much noise going back up the mountain as it did coming down. And that was the extent of the
sighting. There was no smell involved. I didn't smell anything. But it was pretty exciting afterwards.
That's incredible. So you got a pretty good look at the face then, it sounds like.
Not really. Like I said, it was a couple minutes before dark. So really what I saw was a black
outline of a giant person that was just big and looked to be hairy.
That's all I could see.
I couldn't see eyes, nose or anything like that.
But it had the outline of a person.
Okay.
Gotcha.
Were you able to make out the outline of the head at all?
Yeah, I had a very large head, but the head sat like.
Like right down almost under the shoulders, it was weird, almost as if it didn't have a neck.
Sometimes people will say that when they see one, the head has a certain shape, sometimes it's rounded, sometimes it's maybe more conical.
Yeah, I would say it was more round.
I live here in Colton Wright in the mountains.
And for years, we've always heard things up there late at night, like screams and hoops and roars and.
just like crazy stuff going on up there.
And I always wondered what it was.
And then once I had the siting, I had something to attribute it to.
Have you heard of other sightings in that same area that you were ever?
Yes.
Since the 90s, I've heard of, oh, I don't even know how many, probably 15, 16 different sightings here in the area.
The latest one was a man driving home through Colton.
and a huge big foot.
He said it was like 12 feet tall.
We're just standing on the side of the road near Deirdorf and Highway 211, and he just drove right by it and it just stared at him as he drove by.
How long ago was this?
That was about a year ago.
As far as, I don't have anything current.
And I haven't heard any noises lately either.
It seems to have stopped over the past couple years, and I don't know why.
That's fascinating. Colton's an area that I've not heard much of, but now it's on my radar. I've heard a ton of things down in an area southeast of Eugene, and it's an area called Oak Ridge down there. I've heard a lot of things on 58 down in that area, but definitely be keeping an ear out for Colton now.
I live on a dead-end dirt road, and my neighbor across the street would babysit their son's daughter,
and he would drop off his daughter at 3.30 in the morning, and then leave with his tow truck,
and we would hear him come by every day.
Well, all of a sudden he quit coming by and dropping his daughter off, and thought that was unusual.
And come to find out, he dropped off his daughter one night, 3.30 in the morning.
and a big foot walked along the side of his tow truck looking in his driver's side window
all the way down our dirt road and down our asphalt road to the highway and then it just
ran off into the field and it scared him so bad he's never been back to see his uh basically his
mother-in-law since and that's been like three years that is wild do you have i'm sure you've heard
so many stories over the years have you heard anywhere it's a particularly aggressive encounter or
sometimes they try to get into houses in certain parts of the country well i've never heard of
anything aggressive here in colton it seems that the one or many that live here they're pretty
laid back but um if you go to esticata which is just the next town up and go up highway 224
that's a really bad place to go.
People disappear up there all the time.
You know, I have heard a lot about Estacada that is a pretty wild area.
Have you heard actual Bigfoot accounts from Esticata then?
I've only heard a couple of people just driving up there to spend some time in a park,
you know, a little pull off near the river, Clackamas River.
And they just later, they never show up and people find their car.
car with a door open and nobody around just missing.
Is that the Milo McIver State Park?
No, that's off of Springwater.
That's outside of Esticated too.
I'm talking about up Highway 224 into the Cascade Mountain Range and it cuts over to
Highway 22, which connects to sisters and bend.
So you're saying when you go up that area from Estaceta and you go up into like sisters area, it could get wild.
Right.
In early 2003, that was the loudest it had ever been back in the mountains of my house here.
We would hear screams.
And my wife, I would tell her what I would hear because I sleep light at night.
and she never really believed in it, but she was nice to me, and she just kind of humored me.
Well, one night we were sleeping with the windows open, and one right in our backyard,
let out this huge roar, hoops, and some chest beating, and we both popped up out of bed,
and her eyes were so huge, and I just had the biggest smile on my face
because it finally proved to her that they're real, and they're out there.
And after that, she was on board.
She's like, yeah, there's something out here.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, she was on board 100%.
You have to experience it to believe it.
Another time I was coming home from Estakeda to Colton,
and I ran into this huge cloud of stink.
It smelled like 75% skunk and 25%
sulfur and I like the smell of skunk and sulfur separately but when you add them together it
really messes with you I mean I was being choked out of the car and right where that stink was
were some skid marks and a big truck hit a tree and it appeared that maybe they came really
close to hitting one and it let off its scent glands and stunk up the place and I've always
planned on kind of stopping at that house and asking them if they knew anything about it but
around here you got to be careful where you go because people don't take kindly to visitors
you know that that's what i hear uh there's definitely certain states where you know people just want to
be left alone and and maybe you don't go up knocking on doors no yeah but my uh my nephew had a little
running with one just this last hunting season,
but he was up the Malala River.
And he said he heard something walk up to him in the dark
after he set up for bow hunting and then walk away.
So he didn't really think a whole lot about it
other than it might have been a deer.
But after it became light and he sat around for a while
and got up and started looking around,
he found a couple of big footprints right near where he was sitting.
Really?
Yeah.
It just came up.
Must have just looked at him and then turned around walked away.
He was lucky because I hear there's a few missing persons cases up the Malala River, too.
Do you think that, and I know some people refer to that as missing 401,
do you think that could potentially be connected to Sasquatch in that area?
I would venture to say yes.
I mean, what else is going to take a human down and disappear you?
and they're never found again.
There's not much else out there.
Your wealth and knowledge about this area of the Pacific Northwest,
and thank you for hopping on and chatting about this.
Would you be able to send me an email at Bigfoot Society at gmail.com
just so in case I ever want to send another question to you,
I could follow up with you.
Yeah, no problem.
I'll get that out to you.
Thank you for chatting tonight.
You're welcome.
Bye-bye.
Here we go.
Hi there.
Is this Noam?
Oh, yes, it is.
Awesome.
Awesome.
You know, have the people know my encounter and everything like that.
Yes, sure.
Go right ahead.
All right.
So this was about last year.
It was just coming out.
It was about fall time, I'd say.
And I was, you know, taking a little height with my dog.
It was about.
I'd say about somewhere at 8.30 in the morning, I'd say.
I was walking out. I was following this trail.
It was in my grandma. Yeah, grandmas at the moment.
Following down this trail.
My grandma was on this property for about 50 years, I'd say.
And this trail leads off into a, like a hauler.
That's hauler.
No, it goes on for miles at least.
And we were just walking with the dog.
And I come across a, you know, footprint.
You know, I didn't think really much of it.
I mean, I thought it was a big old boot print, but, you know,
I have the picture.
I'll definitely send it to your email.
Yeah, okay.
But I saw this footprint.
I didn't think much of it, but, you know, but it was so defined.
but it looked at the boot at the same time so you know I didn't really think much of it so
I continued walking down this trail and uh you know my dog just starts going crazy it looks right up the
hauler it just you know where there's a tree line up there because on the trail it breaks off into
into the hauler and at the tree line my dog just started going crazy I don't know what it was
but all I hear is my dog is just going crazy and
nuts and then I hear one of the most horrid sounds I think I've ever heard in my
life it was it was like a low grumble it was like a it was like a growl you know and
whenever I heard that oh man my dog just went to shivers I froze up I mean I
didn't know what to do I didn't know what to you know think of this so you know I
stood there for a little about five minutes
No, I heard like a thump.
It was a huge, I'd say it was about 12-inch round rock that got thrown down from that holler, that tree line.
And it was at least three feet away from us.
And then I hear another thump and another rock hits the ground.
And it was like he was trying to, you know, hit us with the rocks or maybe want us to get out of there.
So I get my dog and we started walking back, you know, following the trail back.
to where we came back to the house.
Then I remember hearing this another low ground on that same tree line, but this time it was more ahead of us.
And this time it was more defined.
Like he was more lower in tone, but it was way more louder.
So, you know, I stood there again.
My dog is back to whining.
And I look up.
You know, because the sun, you know, it's just now breaching the tree line.
everything. So I look up and I can clearly see, I'd say it was a huge arm reaching out from behind
the tree. And what I can see is that it grabbed a limb. This limb is good size too. I mean,
I know that I couldn't break it. And it grabs it in the middle and it just yanks it down.
that like it's made the loudest noise there was the loudest like break in that branch ever and what it
did with that branch is that it literally just threw it down at us and that's whenever i just made a
run for it and i have not been back to my like i haven't like i've been back to my grandmas but i've
not been back to that holler ever again and i asked my grandma about it she was like
You're talking about that black man.
I was like, black man.
He was like, yeah.
Did you see stuff being thrown at you know?
I'm guessing she's had an encounter and she was like, the black man.
That's what I call him.
I was like, okay.
She said she was, she's right now she's about 76.
She used, you know, whenever she was, you know, a little bit younger,
she said that she would walk those trails and that she would get stuff thrown at her as well because you know my grandma writes horses you know that's why she can't really do many of these things because she says that she had a huge limb thrown at her and it spook the horse and she fell off and i think it broke her spleen or something like that i'm not really too sure she says that she is not being back to that holler ever again
She says that whatever lives in that holler does not want anybody in there and does not want anything to do with anybody in that holler.
That's really all the encounter I had because I know that that was a big foot.
I mean, the sound it made, like it literally, you know, I could feel it shaken, you know, inside of my body.
And it was just a really interesting experience.
at the same time traumatic because I mean I mean I was scared um my grandma will talk about it every
now then she says she actually has an audio recording of this low growl I will definitely
know everything that I have she says that um this is was caught later in the night like this was
four three in the morning she says that she woke up to me like numerous
of those low growls as if it was at least 30 yards away from the house she swears it was
she says that it was you know circling the house and out of here you know in mississippi there's not
that many you know big of exciting but whenever she told me this I was absolutely shocked I mean
not even that dog wants to go back down there on that holler and it's one of those uh you know
German Shepherd is what I have.
You know, this dog is pretty brave.
This dog does not want to go in there.
And this, it's close to last year's Thanksgiving,
almost about the same time.
And, you know, this dog, you know, we just got it.
Want to go sniffing around the property.
So it went throughout the property while, you know,
we were at my grandma's having Thanksgiving and everything.
and, you know, I start, you know, I hear the dog going off in the holler, you know, so I kind of, you know, made myself down there, you know, I just stood at the tree line looking down. I couldn't see anything, but I still heard that dog barking. So, you know, I manned up, you know, I made my way down that trail just a small amount.
and there it was this eight to seven foot tall brownish like the dark brownish to black
you know furry man standing there with my dog in its arms and this thing just bolted down
this holler following the trail and it kind of cut off into
little caveway because there's an unmarked cave that my grandma has.
You know, us as kids, I mean, we used to go around down there, play around for a little bit.
And this thing took that dog with it.
And I have never heard of that dog ever again.
And I went up there, and I grandma, grandma was like,
Grandma gets hey something.
She's at what I'm like, the black man has got the dog.
And I believe that this is gotta be one of the most aggressive bigfoot something I've ever heard of or ever like encountered in my life.
Because this thing literally looked right at me in my eyes.
It laid out, it was like a howl on it.
It was like a, ooh!
Like, but like way more lower.
This thing had a very low tone to it.
And it just took off.
I'm talking about it would have took me
50 steps to get where it was
and it only took you at about 15
and I've never heard of that dog again
shaggy hair
it had pretty good shaggy hair
to it and it had a pretty bad smell
to go along with that
that smell ruined my appetite
for at least two days because it was just horrid
it smelled as if
you know you know how roadkill smells are you know very bad and everything sits in the sun rotten
that's what that thing smelled like it did not smell right and the look it gave me it did not show
no fear but i don't know why you know it could have probably ran it to me and grabbed me and
I would have been done for nice whenever it turned to go running like I'm talking about it
It's arms, but literally, it's arms literally almost down to like its calf muscle.
This thing is at least seven, eight foot tall.
It was an enormous one, I'd say almost, probably almost a thousand pounds.
Because that thing had some girth to it.
It really did true believe that it was a big foot that I saw.
I don't think anybody can change my mind, but I will definitely send you on your email of the pictures and all of your recording.
My grandma has.
All right.
Thank you, Nome for sharing.
Hi there, AKC.
This is Jeremiah from Bigfoot Society.
It sounds like you had some interesting things happen in Mississippi.
Yeah, when we, I was about 14.
Me, my cousin, and my mother were walking back from a big racetrack that my uncles were building for car racing.
and we had gotten muddy and we were in trouble
and my mother was kind of whipping us all the way back home
and I turned around and looked
and my mom was standing in the middle of the road
staring off at something to the right of the road
in like a big bamboo patch
and when Danny and I turned and looked
it was this big white
kind of white brownish animal
we didn't know what it was
standing there looking at us
in the middle of the road probably
less than 50 yards from us and uh like i know my mom was running and we all just ran back to the
house and why does it goce and never talked about it again after that just scared us
wow what uh what year was this this was probably i'd say nineteen 85 86 okay and uh was this by any
like big nature areas or anything i thought
This is a real, real remote country area in Midway, Mississippi.
And what we learned over the years, all of the people out there had seen something like this,
but just never talked about it.
Really?
Years and years have passed, and we've met other family members and other neighbors that had kids.
and when we told them our stories,
they would turn white as a ghost and say,
man, you know,
and they would just tell us the stories that they saw as well.
So it's something that's kind of a little folklore out there,
but it's definitely you can feel the presence of something in the woods.
I hunt out there,
and I still won't go out there after dark, and I'm 52 now.
Oh, wow.
So I'm not able to pull up a map right now.
Is Midway, is that by one of the state borders or where is that exactly in the state?
It's up by Yazoo City, Mississippi.
And it's near, so it would be kind of off highway 55, but it would be Midway, Benton, Mississippi.
Gotcha.
Now, when you were talking to the other people that had also seen things,
did they describe it as having like a similar color to what you saw?
Yep. Yep. And one of the crazy stories, I went back probably six or seven years ago and went to one of my friend's house and he had bought a piece of property that one of our other friends, one of our family friends had owned for years and years and years. And he had a house there had burned down and he had a trailer put on the property, what you're going to rebuild his property. And when I,
pulled up there i mean i hadn't seen anybody in 15 years and of course i've never told randy or
anybody about what we saw and i pulled up to his house and he called me on the phone he said are you
here and i said yeah and so he came out to the truck where i was it's kind of a little walk to where the
trailer was and uh and he came out with a gun and he was like i'll come get you and i was i didn't
understand what was going on i was like what's what's what's wrong and he goes man i don't even know
know how to tell you this and we went inside the trailer and he said that he came home he worked
for a lineman as far as repairing electricity lines so he would be gone for quite a bit quit of time
you know repairing uh when storms and stuff happened so he said he came home real early one night
and when he pulled up to the house he could see the trailer and his headlights flashed on something white
and it was looking in the windows of the trailer where his family was.
And he said this one wasn't, he said it was about six foot, wasn't very big.
But he said he turned around and looked at it.
And he said it was something just huge, hairy, kind of a brownish white tent.
And this is 20 years later.
But if you think about it, we pulled it up on a map.
And we went from where I had our encounter when we were kids,
it's probably less than five or six miles from where the crow flies, you know, from where we were.
So it's definitely something in the area.
And I think more people that have seen it than know about because they just don't talk about it.
But it's definitely something out there.
And it's, you can feel it in the woods when you're out there hunting.
Even people I've brought out there that don't know anything about it, they come back and say,
man, I got creepy feeling, you know, beating these woods.
So just kind of an old folklore out there, but I saw it myself.
My mother saw it.
My cousin saw it.
So that's amazing.
When you saw it in the middle of the road, were you able to, do you remember any details of the face at all?
Yeah, it was kind of a weird.
It didn't, it doesn't really match what a lot of people kind of think of a, you know, I got, I was 14.
too. So what I remember, when it turned and looked at us, it almost had ears that were almost looked
like a pointed ears, you know, that were like pointing up in the air. And the face didn't look
like a human face. It almost looked like a muzzle, like a, like a dog. But this thing was, this thing was
probably we went back and looked at it and it was probably about seven to eight foot tall standing in the bamboo
where where we saw it my dad and all then went back and looked and they could see where something was
standing in the bamboo and it flattened it out and they found white hairs everywhere what were the
do you remember anything about the legs couldn't see the legs the legs were in the bamboo
It wasn't standing in the middle of the road.
We were in the middle of the road, and it was over off the side of the road.
And there's a creek that runs right beside the road,
and there's big bamboo patch that grows right up the side of that creek.
And we could see it when we turned and looked.
The kind of the torso and the shoulders of the animal was standing in the bamboo,
and it turned and looked at us standing in the road.
And we didn't see it after that,
because we turned around ran.
You know, we weren't looking crazy whenever your mom, your cousin, all three of us saw it at the same exact time.
Absolutely.
I mean, it's just a really interesting description.
It almost sounds more like a canine creature than a big foot creature.
I don't know.
What do you think?
The coat of it looked like a canine creature to us.
And my mother described it the same way and my cousin described it the same way.
but the hair was kind of like brown but like dirty ends.
And the other thing we remember, it smelled like rotten eggs, like just something rotten.
That's how close we were doing.
I'm almost, I'm wondering if maybe you didn't stumble upon a dog man as well.
I don't know.
Well, it's all kind of folklore out there.
Okay.
And my grandmother told me about patches of woods that they would try to cut through to go to school and go to the stores and stuff.
And this is a real, real remote part of Mississippi.
And there were patches of woods that their parents and grandparents forbid them to go in.
Like, you can't go across there.
And whenever my grandmother, she would, they would do it anyway.
She said that whatever is in there would always follow them and chase them.
They could never see it because it was thick.
They just could see the grass like coming at them like something was moving through the grass,
but it would chase them out, chase them out of the woods.
So it didn't make any noise.
We don't remember any noise.
I don't remember any noise that it made other than the grasses around it.
But it was right at dusk and there was a sun.
kind of going down and behind it and the sun shining on it kind of made it kind of a glowing
kind of red looking eyes but but we all saw it it's an incredible story thank you for sharing
what you experienced and what you've kind of found by doing some some research as well in the
area and and definitely keep us informed if you if you run into any other reports in that area but
thank you for for chat
in A KC.
No problem, but I'll shoot you a little friend.
I'll see you a little DM.
All right.
Thank you, sir.
Yeah.
Appreciate that.
Give this a try.
Hey, Bartholomew.
This is Jeremiah from Bigfoot Society.
What do you have to share, my friend?
So I have actually seen Bigfoot.
Okay.
So I was camping with the family, the wife, the kids.
We're out in the camper.
It's like, it was the middle of the night.
four, three a.m. I forgot. It was like a year ago. And I hear something outside the door. So I wake up and I look outside and I see something and I can't really make it out too well. So I cracked the door and I see this tall figure like nine feet tall, maybe 10. I couldn't retail. I just know he was really, really tall. And he looked.
like the pictures of Bigfoot that I had seen, like a big furry monster.
So I saw him and I just kind of froze.
And then he walked away and I was just in shock.
So I closed the door and I went back to bed and the next morning I told my family they didn't
believe me but I know I saw him.
So yeah, that's what happened.
What area was that in, Bartholomew?
So I'm up in Pennsylvania, so the Appalachian Mountains, it was near, I forgot, because we go camping a lot, but it was about 30 minutes out of bun.
I'm sorry, out of, I forget the town name.
It was near the Appalachian Mountains in Pennsylvania.
Okay.
Yeah, that's, that is, that must have been quite the thing to see at, you know, you know, you know,
You said around 3 to 4 a.m.
Did you get a good look at its face at all?
Yeah, it looked like, it looked, it was really wrinkly, and its mouth, the lines of its mouth just kind of dipped.
Like an old person's mouth.
That looks like kind of like a doll, like a wooden doll.
It looked like that.
Were you able to look at its eyes at all?
No, it was too dark.
I just saw like, I saw the lines on its face.
but it's always for dark.
Gotcha.
Interesting.
Did you ever hear of any other sightings that occurred in the same?
I would guess you may be in a campground or?
No, because I didn't really pay.
I didn't really know.
I didn't really care about Bigfoot before I saw him.
And then when I told my family and they were like, you're crazy.
I kind of just forgot about it.
But then it's been bothering me these past few days.
And then I came across your life.
I don't know why.
I've just been having dreams about it.
And so she came across your life and thought I'd talk about it.
What are the dreams you're having?
Are they just, you're just replaying what happened that?
Yeah, it's like, it's like, it's like I'm right there that night.
Is there any communication that's happening through those, you think?
Is anything trying to talk to you during?
those it seems like it gets closer every time but it's like it's it gets closer but I
still can't see it well it's very interesting well I hope that hopefully
those don't continue for too long unless that's a way you'll be able to get
some answers but yeah dreams and Bigfoot Sasquatch can be a very interesting
things so well thank you for
for hopping on and sharing what you've what you experienced are like you have been meaning to get so much
chest for someone that would actually you know kind of like have an idea of it so thank you
absolutely have a great great night you do like hey robert this is uh jeremiah
thanks for reaching out uh what do you have to share today robert uh i had a sighting in the nimo bc
it was 2018.
Manimo, BC isn't a very big city.
The part of town that I lived in
was actually an apartment, an apartment complex
that was fairly
in a ways into town.
So like the nearest forest would be probably
probably like a mile away or so like heavy thick forest area or and they have a lot of
little streams going through this little town of the Namo it's like really quaint but
anyways one night I was walking back home from a friend's place it was really late it was
like 2 a.m. and it was summertime I remember that and the area that I walked up
It was on 7th Avenue and short area, if anybody knows that.
Anyways, when I walked up this street, there's a deer trail that actually went through a person's yard.
And these deer would, they would go through this trail and they would actually go right onto the road.
And this was three in the morning.
And it was a really wild sight to see because as I was walking up, there was a herd of deer.
And I casually walked up around them.
And one, a small one came up to me.
And I was like really freaked out because I had never been as close to a deer before.
And I had never touched a deer.
And this deer came up to me.
and it was fairly small.
And I pet its head.
And I felt its fur.
And I never felt deer fur before in my life.
And it's really coarse.
I mean, really coarse.
And I stroked its back and its head a couple times.
And I stepped back.
And I looked at him or her.
And the other deer, there was probably about four or five other deer,
standing in the middle of the road.
and I just kind of stepped back in awe.
I was like, wow, so cool.
And I said, well, thank you.
And then I turned around.
And I walked up the hill to my apartment.
My apartment unit, I had a huge sliding glass door that I left unlocked.
And this was, like I said, three and one, I just, I walked down the street, short avenue.
and this is the area is it's a neighborhood it's populated and I walked up and I
and I would keep it unlocked so I opened my sliding glass door this is where this is
where it just oh my gosh my heart is pounding right now so I opened a sliding glass
door and I and I go into my living room and I close it behind me and my I have slats
for blinds there were those slats and they and they kind they would move back and forth and
until they would stop by themselves right and so I turned around and I went into the into my kitchen
and I turned the light on and I started situating myself in my living room I was going to sit down
smoke a cigarette and oh my gosh as soon as I sat down I was in the apartment for maybe
maybe two minutes soon as I sat down the the sliding glass door was being
pounded on so hard so hard it sounded like it was gonna smash I jumped up because
it was like three four feet in front of me I jumped up and I kind of got mad I
kind of got mad because where I'd come from there was some
that was bothering me and I was wondering if like well did this person follow me
back and you don't want to start trouble with me and so I kind of got mad and it
just kept pounding and I walked up to my up to the slats and I brushed him
aside from the so I could look outside and oh my gosh this guy this guy this
guy was standing there and he had the meanest looking face on his look on his
face he took up the whole the whole width of of my sliding glass door like like
five six feet wide and he had to kind of stoop down and he was he was looking at
me and he was pissed I don't know what he was mad at but in that in that one
second that I scooped my slats and I seen that face my body had reacted
had reacted so fast that my feet had actually pushed me back
into my kitchen hallway and I landed on my ass.
And I started crawling back like a spider backwards
and I couldn't take my eyes off of those slats.
And I kept looking at those slats.
The slats kept moving because when I scooped them aside,
the force of them coming back, they kept going back and forth.
And I kept going back and as I looked at the slats, I didn't see him anymore.
But I'm telling you, this guy was, he was huge and he was pissed.
I mean, I could just feel the rage.
I could feel the rage from him pounding on my sliding glass window door and just the look, just the look that he gave me.
and I have I have I think I know why it if I've heard in in and read about so many
testimony about them and deer they deer is is is one of their main courses and
I don't I don't know if if he got pissed from me touching that deer because
there was nothing else that I could think of that would make him come into this complex.
If you've seen it, it was just unreal because it's populated.
And somebody else had to have heard him pounding on my glass window, glass door that night.
But my sons weren't home.
And I didn't bother asking anybody the next day.
And to be honest, I was traumatized by it.
And I really tried to forget about it for a while until I could tell one of my close friends.
And, you know, even then they're like, holy macro.
But yeah, that's what happened to me.
And it freaked me out.
I appreciate you, Sharon.
I can tell us very.
traumatic experience for you when it sounds like you you did get a bit of a look did you
were you able to see any details of the face at all he it was it was kind of your typical
your typical face that you see that you've seen drawings of you see pictures of i mean i
know they're not all the same but just that that hairy
You know, the hair.
He's all hairy.
He does have features.
He was so mad.
He showed me teeth and his big eyes.
And, yeah.
Robert, I appreciate you talking about this.
I can tell it it's hard for you to talk about.
I appreciate you able to bring us through the story.
Thank you for doing that.
For sure, for sure. And I really believe that if you don't keep your windows covered at night, you're giving them the chance to look in.
They're in more places than I believe a lot of people think they are. I believe that they...
I agree.
I believe that they're starting to venture into town further.
I mean, well, I guess it's been going on for centuries, but it just, it's just ridiculous how far he came into town. I was just mind-blown by that.
Well, my friend, thank you for coming on on the stage and for sharing. And please keep us in mind if anything else happens, feel free to reach out.
Well, fantastic. Yeah, thanks for having me, man.
Hello.
So, hey there, how's it going?
Good.
Well, yeah, go right ahead, friend.
So I live in the Gold Coast in Australia, and we have just on the border of New South Wales and Queensland, like a volcano sort of area.
There's like a lot of extinct volcanoes and lots of valleys and rainforest.
forest and about only a 10 minute drive out of town like where all the beaches are I had
an encounter I didn't expect it to be so close to civilization this particular
one but I found out that it's actually been quite a hot spot and in fact one of
the lead researchers here in Australia might have heard of him Dean Harrison you
know he's gone out and done it there I'm friends with a mate of his on the on the
on the message well Facebook so but I'll tell you a bit about it so I was going up the
back roads where there's few houses and it backs on to all that sort of like nature and I
stopped in an area was no coverage and I got out my car and I was with my friend
And we stopped there for a few minutes and we're still on the road and we hear this like crunching noises like walking about just off the road like five minutes off five meters off the road.
It's pitch black everywhere.
And now I've heard a kangaroo hopping through the bush before and that's the biggest sort of animal that there is and this was much bigger than that and not hopping.
walking so I got to my friend well you know what what's that like like I know what
big foot is and yeah so we tried looking around for it I didn't see anything
and after a few minutes I thought oh can't see it we'll just we'll go we'll go
because it's not appearing so we hop back in the car drive away and as we're
leaving my friend tells me that she actually saw
it in my high beams and well I wasn't looking in that place I was like trying to look off the road
and I asked her to describe it and she said that it looks well she didn't tell me immediately but I
tried to get like an understanding of like what its brow looked like whether she saw a face
height and she said it had like it looked like bits of cloth on it and I thought well that's
interesting I might show her a picture of an ancient human and the antithal and I
showed her that and she says that's pretty much exactly what it was and I know that
like it doesn't really count as Bigfoot but I put like Bigfoot in the category
of like one of six creatures you know you've got your little things you big
thing supernatural non-human human related hybrids and yeah stuff like that
Oh, that's very interesting.
Wasn't, you know, I'm not overly familiar with Australia.
Wasn't there that video that came out a few months ago?
Was that near Queensland where there was like the tracks that were found and then there
were, it had eaten half of a pig or something like that?
I don't know if you remember that.
That's, I think that's overborder.
If you go on YouTube and you actually have a look of the Australian YOWS.
Australian Yowie hunt, Australian Yowie research, and you look for the thermal footage.
It's one of the more popular things coming from Australia.
That was only maybe 20 kilometers, 10 kilometers from where I was.
So the whole area is a huge hotspot.
That is fascinating.
Thank you for sharing what you had experienced.
Thank you for coming up today.
You're welcome.
Oh, yeah, definitely. I'm sorry if you can't hear me correctly. I don't have my headset.
That's the only thing I don't have.
No, you actually sound great. So you're from Western Mass?
No, I'm actually from Rhode Island.
Okay, I was going to say it. You sound more like Rhode Island.
I used to live in Franklin County, Western Mass.
A small town called Northfield, but I had friends from Rhode Island.
So, yeah, you went camping out in Western Mass?
Yes, I believe the town was called Berry.
but it spelt Barry.
It's spelled differently than what it says.
Very familiar with that area.
Yep.
So this was October of 2019.
I had gone up with my boyfriend at the time and two of our friends,
and we went to the old, I'm not sure if you're familiar with this,
but we went to the old Girl Scout camp.
Absolutely.
Yep.
Okay, so we were camping there.
So there's no electricity in the cabins, this outhouse.
So it's kind of rugged.
I never thought anything would want to come kind of close to us just because there's so many,
there was so many people there during the day.
Where we were camping was in a different area than where the festival was taken place.
We were closer to the woods, so we had to walk.
I want to say a mile, a mile and a half from our camp to maybe it was less.
It just seems a lot more.
But we had to walk.
We went to the pavilion for breakfast and then we walked from there to the field where they were having the event.
And then, okay, so the first night was fine.
And so we went to the cabin.
Like I said, no electricity or anything like that.
It was really quiet night.
The second night, we were there.
And I'm one of the people that I have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night,
so I have to get up at like three or four in the morning.
But we had to walk down to the outhouses.
I don't know if you're familiar with this campground.
We were the closest cabin to them, but they're all outside.
And so I didn't see it.
But of course, I'm in the middle of going to the bathroom, in the middle of it.
Okay?
So this makes it even worse.
And I hear this like guthral roar come from the woods.
And I mean, it was loud.
And I know that like it wasn't a wolf.
It wasn't so I saw it sitting there thinking, okay, first off, what was that?
Um, because it doesn't sound like anything I've ever heard before.
Um, and I'm sitting there in my brain trying to rationalize what could be all, all the more reason.
I have to tell you this, I was frozen.
So by time the thoughts started coming through my brain, I was, I was, when I tell you, I was frozen solid for like three straight minutes. And then there was this like instinct, like a natural instinct to run back to the cabin I was in. It was like this realization that if I stayed there and, you know, I was there by my mind.
myself. It could have, you know, I don't know a lot about these creatures. What if something grabbed me? Nobody would know because everyone's sleeping in a cabin up the hill, not even remotely near me. So I did just that, but I actually got to the vehicle, my ex-boyfriend's SUV. As soon as I got to that, I jumped in the SUV and I slept in there for the next
it was either three or four in the morning so I slept there until nine and um yeah he came and got me he
banged down the window he goes what are you doing why are you sleeping in here i'm like dude you're
never going to believe this i was so scared i couldn't even go back up to the cabin and the cabin
was only like maybe like a hundred more feet from his SUV like i just i knew we were being
well, I knew I was being watched at least.
I don't know who else heard it there.
I never got a chance to really talk to anybody because that day we had one more event
and then everybody left.
But that was my experience hearing one.
That's wild.
I will say that these outhouses, they're outdoor bathrooms.
I'm not sure if you're aware of that, but they're not inside a building.
They're outside.
They're closed.
Everybody's got their own, but it's outside.
So it was dead silent too.
Nothing chirping, no animals.
I mean, we were in the middle of the woods in that first night, we heard everything.
We were at owls, all kinds of stuff.
That second night when that happened, like, even right after that happened, there was no noise at all.
You could hear a pin drop 20 feet away.
Wow.
So the way that you're explaining it, like describing it, does definitely, you know, line up with ways other people describe, you know, not being able to move for a few minutes, just being like frozen.
Everything gets dead quiet.
It's like, yeah, that sounds like a very interesting experience that you had.
Thank you for sharing that.
Yeah, absolutely.
It didn't sound like it was being very friendly.
it sounded like it was rather upset that we were there.
Like I can pick up on feelings.
I can pick up on energy.
Super, super intuitive.
And I just follow.
I trust myself.
And it was really hard to explain.
And it was hard to explain it to him.
It was hard to explain it to other people.
Because I'm like, they're going to think I'm nuts.
He believes in him.
So, you know, this isn't the first camp trip.
but yeah so absolutely well thank you for for sharing what you experienced at the the old girls old
girl camp in Barry Massachusetts I've never been there but I know exactly where you're
talking about so that's pretty cool yeah definitely well thanks for letting me share you got it have a
good one hi Dale this is Jeremiah I saw your comment it looks like you you had an interesting
thing happened that you heard
I did. It was right around Roseburg. Everybody's familiar with Roseburg if you'd been up in Oregon.
Just east a little bit up in a clear cut. This was a clear cut where I used to go up there. My neighbor showed me this spot to go get wood. Good spot to get madrone, good hardwood.
And I was up there twice with my neighbor and once I went up there by myself because we'd have to load up both trucks.
And I just wanted to load up a little bit of wood for myself. But both times I was up there with him before.
I was like, man, this place is, I feel like I'm being watched.
You know, everybody hears people tell stories about how they feel like they're being watched.
And I don't think enough emphasis is put on the level of creepiness that you feel when you feel like you're being watched.
This went on for an hour.
I prepped the chainsaw, put it on the tailgate.
been up here twice before, like I said.
And I was just creeped out, staring at the tree line.
I'm in a clear cut, but I'm facing where the old growth stands.
I'm about 300 yards away.
So there's cover back up in there.
I'm high up on an old logging cut.
So on top where the, if you're familiar with logging, where a high line would sit,
top of the hill, this is where all the logs get skidded up to the top of.
So there's no more, no more roads going any higher, dirt roads even.
There's no more access.
The terrain is you'd have to be on all fours to climb up any higher in the tree line area where I was.
So I finally like, okay, I got to load up some wood.
I got to be productive here.
Okay, whatever.
Start cutting up the wood, throwing it in the truck.
And I get it loaded up pretty good.
and I end up pulling forward after that.
So I'm up here about two, two and a half hours at the most.
And I pull forward because there's a hairpin turn just before the clear the tree line of the old growth.
And I get out, I turn my truck off.
I'm going to sit right here.
And it is it is pin drop quiet, like crazy quiet.
And you can just, you could hear anything in this canyon.
And I'm just sitting there listening.
I am listening to hear anything.
I'm like, something is watching me.
It just feels creepy.
So I'm going to sit here and I've got the patience.
I'm by myself.
Nobody's waiting on me.
You know, man, I sit there and I can't hear anything for almost a good hour.
Talk about patience, man.
I mean, this is how creeped out I was.
I was like, man, something just feel creepy anyway.
I'm sitting there forever.
And at some point, I hear, I didn't see anything.
And this is what's kind of, it's hard to tell the story sometimes because, man, I didn't see anything.
And you could always be debated.
You know, maybe there was people there.
Maybe there was certainly wasn't kids up there.
I can tell you that.
But high up in this ridge, right in the tree line, not far into the tree line,
I heard what could only be described as what you hear of the samurai chatter.
And it was two of them.
And I felt like they were younger.
But they were both talking like at the same time at each other.
I could mimic it, but it's always so hard to do that.
Here's the deal.
It was so quiet.
I was close enough to where there's nobody else up here.
I could hear a car coming from, you know, a truck coming up there to get wood or anything like that from a long ways away.
There's nobody up there, let alone they have to come up my road.
There's nobody up in that tree line.
There's no purpose up there.
And on top of it being terrain-wise, extremely difficult.
And if all you're going to do, let's say, you know, prankster-wise, because I have to rationalize how possible is it, you know, for, you know, what kind of a prankster-wise?
because I have to rationalize how possible is it, you know, for, you know, what kind of a prank is that?
You know what I mean?
It would be up in there.
But I legit, whole, heard to it.
And it was brief, but it was enough to where, and I was close enough, and it was quiet enough to where it sounded very Russian.
Which I've heard that before.
I was pretty new to it then.
So I had recently had learned about language.
They're speaking somewhat Russian and samurai chatter and stuff like that.
And I thought that that was, I honestly, when I heard it, the first thing I did was just
look at it, like, there's no kids up there.
And I was just like shocked.
It sounded like younger two voices close enough to where I could tell it wasn't English.
It sounded really close to Russian.
There was two of them talking over each other, jabbering really, really fast, really fast talk, too.
It's hard to say that that's definitive.
In my mind, I know what I heard.
I know there wasn't kids up there for me, okay, for anybody else saying,
it could have been anybody could think kids up there could have been something.
But I'm just saying, you know what?
I've been up to several times before.
It's not easy to get up there.
And what I heard was it was a language.
I was close enough to hear a language.
And I find that more fascinating.
I don't think there's a lot of, a lot of weight given to hearing something.
I'm not seeing it.
You see something you're always going to say to yourself,
now what the heck was that?
And you're always going to scratch your head.
I saw something dark.
I saw something moving.
I saw something tall, but it was behind trees in the bushes.
A lot of people have had that.
that experience. But I think it's even weirder if you think about it to have heard something
talking and you're close enough to it to know it's not English, 100%. It sounds Russian.
There's two of them. And I don't know. I don't know what it was. But to be honest with you,
that's the end of the day, yeah. And at the end of the day, it's another piece of data.
to put in the big whole data set that were you trying to use to figure things out.
And would you say it was close, like, was that the closest town to where you were at was Roseburg or was there another one?
Roseburg, it was past.
I have, I can look on Google Maps and kind of zoom in on the clear cut area.
I've done it several times since I just to kind of remember where it was.
it is straight east of Sutherland off of I-5
and there's a
I'd have to refresh my memory
on the sign. It's like a camp up there.
But I could go right back to the
drop-a-pin location. I could nail that location exactly.
And it's right off the river. They say they like to stick close to the river.
So it's right off of the...
Oh, absolutely, yeah.
Is it the um-quah that's right there?
I believe that's a national forest in that area.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And tons of elk.
So as far as, you know, plenty of food and stuff like that, there's water.
There's elk.
Lots of cover.
I mean, this is deep in the woods.
As soon as you get off I-5 out of Roseburg, heading towards the coast, you know,
it's the sky's the limit on how many miles and miles of dirt rodent trees.
you can find up an Oregon beautiful country too.
Thank you for coming on, Sharon, what you experience.
It's a really weird, weird thing, and it may help someone else when they hear this.
So thank you so much for sharing.
Yeah, yeah, man.
Yeah, thanks for a let me tell you this story.
A special thank you to Matthew for sending in his accounts on voicemail
and for everyone else who is willing to share their accounts in this episode as well.
