All right, Bigfoot Society,
we've got the privilege of talking to Taylor today.
Taylor's a listener that reached out via email to me from Northeast Iowa
with some interesting things that have happened over the years that he's aware of.
Welcome to the show today, Taylor.
I appreciate it, yeah. Thanks for having me.
Absolutely. We were talking in the pre-show
and there's some really interesting things that we'll be getting into.
But Taylor, I'm going to go ahead and give
the mic right over to you and you're welcome to share from the beginning what has been going on up there.
All right. Sounds good. So we're going to start with my first experience I ever had. This I want to say was probably when I was about maybe six or seven years old. I don't remember exactly how old I was, but I know I was really young.
Anyways, though, this was during the summer and I was over at my grandparents' house. They live in a town that's in Fayette County and a small little town.
And there was a forest above their house.
And I asked my grandpa if we could go up into the woods one of those days.
And I guess I had done that just because, like my house I lived at with my parents,
we also had a forest, and I really loved exploring those.
Anyways, I asked my grandpa one of these days if we could go up there.
And miraculously, he said yes, which was weird to me because he has some mobility issues.
he has a cane he has to walk around with
and it's also not their property
somehow he agreed
and we walked up on this hill
and also on this hill towards
this forest there was this
little shack I want to say it was maybe
like a four by four or a five by
five size building maybe
just made out of some
I want to say sheet metal or something
like that
and
I'm sorry I just got to catch my breath here
it's just also weird
Anyways, as we approach the building, we could see like underneath that there was like a borough of some kind or something.
Like it looked like it recently been dug out.
And underneath there, it was pitch black.
So inky, you could not see a shadow at all.
And this was all during, I want to say either early afternoon, maybe mid-afternoon, but the sun was out.
It was a bright summer day.
And in this darkness, there was just these pair of eyes.
They were like a bright white. They had black pupils and they were just staring at us. And I want to say they were probably about the size of a ping pong ball, something like that. And it was just so malicious almost. It just seems so ominous and just we shouldn't be seeing this. And I asked my grandpa, what's what is this? What are we seen? And he was like, oh, it's probably a cat or something like that. And I just thought, okay.
and I remember I walked a little bit closer to it thinking I was going to scare this cat out and I was going to be like, okay, yeah, it's just a cat.
And as I got closer, the pupils followed me up as I walked closer to it.
So I realized, no, this isn't a cat.
So I backed off.
I remember we did a semi-circle around the building and I was hoping that maybe I could see deeper into the burrow, but it could not see anything.
It was just too deep of a den or whatever.
And we never even went into the woods. It was just too scary to us. We eventually just turned around and walked back to the house. And that was really weird. I remember a couple years ago, I'd ask my grandpa about this because I was like, did I just hallucinate that? Or was this a weird childhood dream? And eventually he was like, yeah, there was that animal thing we saw those eyes. And at that point, I was like, oh, this wasn't just a dream. This was something that actually happened to me. And it just said,
still, I can close my eyes and I can see exactly what that space looked like.
And it was just, like I said, so ominous and just unsettling.
And just even this year, I remember, I've now tried to want to get answers about some of these things that have happened to me and the family.
And me and my mom went up to the spot where that was.
And for whatever reason, they tore down the shack that was there.
And there was this giant brush pile, but underneath that brush pile, you could see,
see where the old hole was of whatever this thing had dug out. And it was just so weird. It was like,
wow, this is actually here. It wasn't just some like small fox den or something. And then also while
we were doing that, the property owner came over to us and they were like, oh, what's going on?
And my mom had the most clever story of just saying, oh, we're just checking out the local trees,
just comparing them to the ones we have in our woods. The lady was super nice. But then she mentioned to us that,
Someone had been breaking their cars recently.
And this is all just pure speculation, because that could definitely be a person.
But just the location of towns they're at, it would be so weird to have to go out of your way to go to their vehicles.
And so I wonder if maybe something from the woods is coming out.
But again, that's pure hyperbole.
There's no evidence or anything.
But just it's a weird place.
So after that, that's my one true.
So I think now, after listening to other podcasts and other videos and stuff, I think maybe what we saw could have been a big foot, maybe a juvenile or something, just as eyes.
And that's based purely on the whole glowing eye thing that people have described.
And as just growing up, I always wrote it off a cat.
But as I got older, I realized that no animal can, has bioluminescent eyes.
I think no eyes glow in the darkness without some kind of light to shine on them, like a flashlight.
or something.
And that's not even how these eyes looked.
They didn't look like they were reflecting light or anything.
It just looked like two, I want to say,
like an ivory white ping pong ball sized eyeball.
And they had small black pupils.
And they just dart around and they followed us as we moved.
And it's just weird.
So I'm curious to think, to see what you think about that,
Jeremiah, once we get to that portion.
Yeah, we can talk about it now if that's all right.
Yeah, that's good.
Just for you, if you have any questions and clarification and everything else.
How wide across was the borough?
I want to say it was about, so it was probably the full length of the like building, like probably four feet.
But on the left hand side, it was a little bit deeper or wider.
Like almost that was the entrance, if that makes sense.
Okay.
So four feet across entrance under the shed when the shed was still up.
Yeah, I was going to say too, when me and my mom took look at it this year, the hole that was there was roughly probably like a four by four sized hole in the ground or indent.
It was probably like 12, 18 inches deep.
It wasn't super deep, but it was clearly a dugout space.
Okay.
That was going to be my next question.
So you're saying that the eyes that you saw at that point, they were actually glowing?
I want to say they were glowing.
Yeah, they were just, it was so bright.
nothing I've ever seen in my life
has been as bright as is that in the darkness
of how dark that space was.
When you and your grandpa were up there,
were there any weird smells?
Not that I can remember.
Part of my mind kind of remembered
maybe my grandpa's saying, oh, it's a skunk.
So he told me to get away from it.
So I don't know if that was just him
thinking of random wildlife animals
or if maybe he smelled something skunky,
but I don't remember anything like that.
Gotcha. Any tracks up there?
there at all that you remember seeing?
Not really. There was no other real
definitive signs we saw of anything
that was there.
And you said
this shed was on top of a hill?
Yeah, I was on top
of the hill, just like on the edge of town, basically.
And behind it, there is
a forest. And then behind
that forest, there's a, like, a giant
cornfield and then just a bunch of
rural land. Are there a lot of deer in that
area? Yeah, we've
got a ton of deer. A lot of other just
woodland game. The forest we have is always in my parents' house. In the wintertime, we'd always
see turkeys. One time we saw pheasants. Yeah, a ton of deer though all the time. Everything else
like that, rabbit squirrels. What kind of predators are over in that area?
Really, the most apex predator, I would say, that is definitively in the area would probably
be like coyotes. There is some very scattered reports of occasionally mountain lions,
occasional black bear that will wander down, but that's very few and far between.
It becomes like, it's like always highlighted on the news whenever one of those things is cited.
It's very uncommon.
Have there been reports in that area of like a lot of pets going missing or anything during that time period?
That was so long ago. I don't remember if any pets have been missing.
Not that I can all know.
And what was the approximate year that this was, that you were up there again?
So if I would have been six or seven, I want to say this was like the early 2000s, probably like 2005 to 2007.
There was a really big flood that happened in the year 2008.
I know it happened before that.
So I know that around 2006, there's a class B that's on BFRL at Volga River.
That is, I don't want to say.
That's pretty close.
Yeah, that's not like super far away.
No, yeah, I've been down to that here.
23 minutes and I have heard a few things come out of that area before I'd be curious if other that
whole area dude is just you've heard stuff you've heard things from backbone from strawberry point
you've heard a yellow river like like Cardinal Marsh over by Cresco apparently that spot's pretty
pretty active oh really that's a one I hadn't heard of actually I'll have to look into that
I just looked on the Bigfoot mapping project.
Oh, okay, cool.
And when I zoomed in on that area, there's a few things, and you don't have to read about that because they're pretty detailed reports.
Oh, nice.
Yeah, I will.
I love that.
It's been a while since I've been on there, so I will definitely check that out.
Another really funny thing I noticed about the Cardinal Marsh area is when I looked it up on the Iowa DNR website, they actually note that there was like a Bigfoot siting there.
and I was like, okay, the DNR is just going to have this on their website.
Really?
Look it up if you want to right now, Cardinal Marsh.
I will, yeah.
And it's like on the information or like about us, like about the area or whatever that part of the website is.
All right.
I'm going to look up.
Okay.
The legend of Cardinal Marsh.
That's incredible.
It was, they say, Bigfoot.
That's wild.
Yeah.
Oh, man.
I'm going to have to ask a few people I know about that place from that part.
to Iowa.
I don't want to get out there and just trek around and see if I can start to find anything.
To answer your question, it's not, I don't think it's crazy to think so just because of all the stuff that happens around that region and even time frame, 2005, 2006, there was stuff happening in Volga River.
So I don't think it's out of the question.
I've always been just so curious what people think what it would be.
exactly and if there are other people from this area listening or are from the northeast corner of iowa and
they might have things that can help flesh this out like hey i was in the area and this happened
or i have a relative that lived in that area and the same time period and this happened too please
reach out if you put it in the comments people can all see that as well but you can always reach out
directly to me as well it's such an interesting like anecdotal account and i don't think
that it's out of the question, especially since you're saying the eyes were glowing.
And I've heard more than, I want to be, let's just, I've heard more than a few individuals
that kind of mention glowing eyes with Bigfoot on expeditions.
And I guess I'll keep it there just in case that's, I don't think that's private info,
but you're not the only one that has said that, let's just say,
has mentioned glowing eyes when it comes to big.
I want to make sure it's clear.
These were, they were glowing white.
They weren't like glowing red or yellow or anything like that.
It was very, like almost maybe like a light almond or like an ivory color,
but no like pigmentation aside from that.
Okay.
Oh, how approximate would you say the eyes were across from each other?
They were pretty big.
I would say it would be.
proportionate to almost, I would say it was bigger than a human's, like I said, but on the same, like, level of just distance, I would say.
Okay, gotcha, gotcha. So it wasn't like a super long distance between the two eyes, but...
No. Okay. No, I could definitely tell it was some kind of, some kind of face or something since there was eyes. And even looking back now, it felt like in my mind, I could almost see that it was like grinning. It just felt like it was like, like if people have said, like you can see, like, you can see, like, you can see, like, like, you can see, like, like,
like smiling in eyes when people don't.
They're not actually smiling.
It's in the eyes.
And it just felt like you could see in the eyes
and how menacing it was or like grimacing almost.

Do you remember if anything out of the ordinary happened after this, like at home or just if you started to experience weird things?
Another weird thing that like potentially this happened before, maybe it happened after. I'm not entirely positive.
All that happened was I was laying in my bed at home and I know I had a nightlight on because I was looking at my nightlight.
So I must have been somewhere in this age frame of when this other setting happened.
I was trying to fall asleep and I heard no sound to my room, but I very distinctly felt something tapped me on my left shoulder.
And I was really scared at first because I had heard nothing come in like not my parents or like the cat we had.
So I rolled over and there's just nothing or no one there.
And somehow I'm eventually able to just drift off to sleep.
And that had that experience also just just as a little bit.
really it scared me because it was like there's nothing there how can I explain that yeah
that's very very weird yeah there's no way to explain that you have you had any any
sightings of UFOs or any other weird paranormal type things in addition to that yeah we did
so growing up me and my mom one time did see UFO and that was probably in the mid I want to
say the mid-2000s, or not 2000, the mid-2010s.
I was probably either 15, 16 or so.
And I woke up, and all of my windows were open.
I was in my, the room I had was like a converted porch, a covered porch, so it had a ton of windows.
I wake up, and there's like a full moon out so I can see out clearly.
There's a beautiful night sky.
So I'm looking in the night sky, and I can see this what I thought was either a plane or a helicopter.
But then it starts to just go around in weird patterns.
In the sky, it starts going in circles fairly fast, not like super fast, but just in a really
irregular pattern.
And I eventually called my mom in and she looked at it too and she was like, yeah, that's weird.
I don't know what that is.
Another experience that just recently happened here at my new house, I live in La Crosse now.
I'm no longer in Northeast Iowa, but I regularly come back to my parents' place at least a couple
times a month.
What happened here on lacrosse was, let me see, I've got this written down.
I can tell you exactly the time.
Happened around 8 o'clock, October 5th.
So my roommate sends me a text and she says,
come out to the front lawn right now.
So I thought it was some kind of emergency or something.
So I immediately bolt out.
I go outside and I see she's out there with a friend of hers
and they're staring up at the sky.
And she's on the phone with her mom.
And so we look up at the sky
and there's just all these balls of light all over the horizon,
some further to the south, some further to the north.
And they're all just,
moving in this continuous direction from east to west.
Some are closer, so you can see that they're a brighter ball of light.
Some are further away, and they're very faint.
Some look like they're almost triangular based on how the points were.
And it was just so unnatural.
They didn't have tails, like how comets would have comets.
I like how a comet has a tail or a meteor does.
It wasn't like the Starlink satellites, because I looked up that.
Those are more in like a singular line.
This was very spaced out, and there was just so many of them.
And to our knowledge, there wasn't like any, some kind of like weather balloon release or some kind of crazy military exercise going on in the area.
And that one, I'm very perplexed by what we saw.
Yeah, that's very interesting.
I was actually going to ask you if you had ever seen a photo of a Starlink satellite line before, so that's good.
You brought that up.
Yeah, I looked it up literally as soon as I came inside.
As soon as it all got done, we were like, okay, what is that?
Let's try to figure it out.
And then I was like, oh, Starlink, what do these look like?
And now it wasn't anything like those.
Because these things were closer and further in the atmosphere,
and they were just really far spaced out,
some further to the south, some further to the north.
They were all going in the same continuous direction.
Did other people in the area, did you hear other people reporting seeing it as well in the days around that?
as far as I know, no.
I asked some of my coworkers if they had seen anything.
I tried to ask them what they thought it would be.
They did mention around that time that Aurora Borealis was going on,
so potentially it was somehow related to that.
As far as I know, I've never seen an Aurora Borealis that's ball of light.
If it can do that, though, then cool, we have an explanation.
But as far as I can tell, that's not really a thing.
Yeah, no one, to my knowledge, besides us, saw this.
And also my roommate's mom, because she's the one who called her to tell her this is happening.
I would say after hearing a whole bunch of different stuff, just the different things you've had happening in your life, the area that I happened, the time, I would say there's a big chance that you probably did experience something.
And some people may say, no, not a chance, but after looking at everything and talking to you for a bit, I think there's something.
weird there in that borough, dude.
So I'm going to go with that.
Aside from that, though, I do have some family reports that I can tell you if you want to
get into that kind of stuff.
Yeah, go right ahead.
So we'll go back in terms of the family timeline.
We'll go with the first thing that happened.
This was like in the mid-1990s, mid-the-late 90s.
And this happened near West Union, Iowa.
It happened actually on the airport road, which is the road right there with the airport.
I don't know what its official name is, but it's the one that has the airport on it.
Anyways, though, so my cousin, he was in seventh grade, this is what he told me.
I just asked him to refresh my memory on this story, because I always heard it growing up,
and I wanted to see if what I remembered from childhood was still what he would tell me today.
So anyways, he said that he was in seventh grade, roughly,
and it must have been around the time he was getting ready for some sport.
So he was going to be out jogging often.
And he remembered he was excited that the road had just gotten paved,
so now he's going to be able to run on a paved road, and he doesn't have to run on gravel.
So he'd been out one afternoon, and he's running from his house towards the direction of the airport.
His house was very close to where that airport was.
And as this road has a series of small hills, and from the direction he was running, he was approaching the first incline.
And he said he could see what appeared to be a dark object cresting the hill.
What he later determined was the head.
But at that time, he thought it was maybe part of a car.
So he thought, okay, there's a car approaching, so he, like, out of the way.
and it was on the opposite side of the road of him also, this dark object.
So he keeps jogging in the same towards it, but again on the opposite side of the road.
And eventually it crests the hill further and further until it's like the waist of it.
And then he can see that it's more, it's got arms.
And he said the arms were going side to side.
And he described it like how a jogger runs, not the typical like front to back,
like how like the Patterson Gindlin film is.
And he kept running just not really realizing,
what's happening until eventually he's slowed down to watch this thing. It eventually fully
crests the hill. It stands there. And then he is absolutely petrified. Like his fight or flight
took over, he said. He had the biggest burst of adrenaline he's ever had. And he just like
immediately turned around and started to sprint home. And as he's sprinting home, he looks over his
shoulder. He doesn't, he sees it about halfway down this small hill now, crossing the road.
He then turns around and keeps running.
He looks over his shoulder a second time.
He doesn't see it, so he slows down and turns around fully.
He then sees that it's now crossed the road fully and is now down in the ditch
and its head is level to the road of how deep this ditch is.
And it then enters the cornfield as it's swinging its arms front to back.
And that was the point where he realized, oh my gosh, that was a big foot.
And then he sprinted home, immediately told his mom,
and she didn't believe him
and he was very upset with her
because he knew what he had seen
and it terrified him. Some other like
descriptive things he said about it. He wanted to say
that it was very shaggy.
Like it almost had a six inch long hair
all over its body and its color
was a very dark red like a dark chestnut
even darker than that.
And it had highlights on his shoulders
and then that highlight almost went
in a stripe down to its elbow.
So that was his experience.
After that, we can then
talk about my dad's experience he had.
Now, this was probably about
10 years ago, and this
took place out of my grandma's house.
She lives just outside of the town that my parents
live in.
And on her property, she has a small
pond, a creek
and a forest. It's very kind of hilly
terrain, very, it's the griffless region,
so it's got that typical griffless
ecosystem and typography.
So,
my dad was going out there. It was probably
said, and as we're telling him,
or he probably 8 o'clock, 9 o'clock.
It was a summer day, so it was, or summer night,
it was starting to get dusk, starting to get dark.
So he's driving his truck out there,
and he goes down to the burn pile that she has,
that they burn brush vent stuff,
and that's down by the pond and also by this forest and creek and everything.
So he gets down there, he parks the truck,
and he gets out of the truck, and he immediately can hear this noise.
First, he doesn't really pay attention to it,
thinking it's just some kind of bird
or some kind of other local wildlife,
and he starts on loading the brush he had in the truck.
He's got a pitchfork, he said, and he was shoveling it out or whatever.
And as that's going on, he keeps listening to this noise
because it just keeps going.
And it doesn't stop.
It doesn't let up.
It doesn't get high or lower.
It just stays consistent.
And he realizes he described it as what sounded like talking, but not humans talking.
It was just this constant jabbering or,
chatter and it just stayed consistent.
And at that point he started
to get scared so he kept he
unloaded the truck really fast.
Then he put the pitchfork in the back. He kept
looking over to the wood line trying to
expecting something was going to come out at him
some kind of creature. He couldn't tell
what this was. And then
he got in the truck. He said he locked the door
because he was scared and he drove
home. And he said
in all my life, I have never
heard anything like that ever.
And we have played all kinds
animal sounds for him like mountain lions, foxes, all kinds of stuff like that. And every time
he says, no, it's not that it was talking, but not human talking. Have you ever played the
Sierra sounds for him before? We did, yes, we tried playing that for him. And he just kept saying
that it was so long gone. It wasn't exactly like any of that, but he couldn't exactly remember
if it wasn't like whooping or like any type of like the samurai chatter per se. He wanted to
say it was more high-pitched, like a higher sound, not really low and like baritone.
Gotcha.
And my dad's, he's a really, like, reputable guy.
He's very hardworking.
He's not a storyteller.
At this point, he wasn't very tech-savvy or like surfing the internet.
And he, later in life, he told me that once I told him, I thought that maybe he
experienced Bigfoot chattering at him.
He said, I only thought there was one.
I thought it was just out west in Washington.
Then he had all these questions because he'd never been exposed to this.
what makes his story so interesting to me because this guy is 50 years old at this point he's heard
every animal that we have around here he's lived in this area his entire life he's been outside all
nights some nights and he had never heard anything like this before and it just it scared him
and even to this day like when he talks about it it he doesn't i wouldn't say scare him now but
it just makes him uneasy because we don't know what it is and it still could be out there for all we
Another weird thing, I guess, that did happen to me that I just thought of, that also happened out of my grandma's house.
It's very brief.
I remember I was above the pond.
There was a giant, like, commonwood tree I was standing by.
And I could hear this sound coming from the woods.
And in my mind, all I remember saying is, that's a Star Wars noise.
Why am I hearing Star Wars?
And it just was really uneasy, and I remember I didn't stay outside anymore after that.
I just went inside, and it was bizarre.
and listening to other people's stories,
I thought maybe that could have been a Bigfoot
just because, again,
I've listened to all the animal sounds from my area
and it definitely wasn't an animal sound.
It was against Star Wars.
That's just what it immediately clicked as.
It was like,
I want to say it was almost like the Star Destroyer alarm,
like that pulsating alarm.
Oh, yeah, yeah, totally.
Okay.
Have you ever heard anything else like that?
Is that like a ad before someone else?
Not like that.
That's really weird.
You just heard it the one time?
Yeah, and I feel like probably in my lifetime growing up,
I've probably heard other weird things,
but I didn't really know to recognize it and remember it.
And I feel like there was probably other times in my life
where I've heard this similar sound or other weird things,
and I just, it doesn't resonate because it's out.
It's just a bird or whatever.
but knowing now it's now that's not a bird
no voices or anything
talking to you from the woods ever on that property
not that I can remember now
I'm just trying to think back now
definitely some eerie times
like where the animals go of silence
but no no noticeable like things stalking me
or making noise directed towards me
that I know of at least
have you ever talked to your grandparents
do they ever have any weird stories
about like from a long time ago on that property oh yeah there's that's just the i don't know in the
south they would say it's just the woodbigger so my grandma is very skeptical of all things that
aren't explained just like growing up i'd always ask her about all these weird like ghost tales and
stuff and like bigfoot and stuff not knowing that my dad was going to have this experience and she
would always just write it off as some plausible thing bigfoot society will be right back after these

So I feel like if she had ever really experienced anything out there, she would just not even attribute it to something unexplainable or bizarre.
She would just say, oh, that was just a deer.
It was some kind of owls fighting or something.
So unfortunately, no, my grandma doesn't have any historical accounts or anything that I know of.
Makes sense.
Another weird thing that I did think of that happened out there.
It happened with my mom, and I don't know if this is potentially attributed to Bigfoot or not, but it could be.
At least I've thought so just based on the way she tells what happened.
She was sitting in the sunroom that my grandma has, and it was probably dusk or nighttime, or just starting to get dark.
And behind them, behind where my mom was sitting, they heard this really loud noise.
And she described this noise.
It's very hard for to even try to describe it,
but the best way I could probably put it is,
it sounded like the Tasmanian devil
when he's like doing his tornado spin.
And it was just like this really big commotion of noise.
And it wasn't like something was fighting and injured.
There was no whimpering.
There was no snarling.
Then there was like this 30 second pause.
And it happened again, this noise just right behind them.
And it was really, she said it was really spooky.
My mom also heard the same noise at her house, probably four years after that, and it was much closer to her.
When she was outside, it was nighttime.
It was up in the woods probably maybe 50 feet from her.
And she immediately ran inside.
She was terrified.
When you say Tasmanian devil noise, are you talking about the noise that the Tasmanian devil makes or the noise of the spinning that it makes?
The noise, like the spinning from the Looney Tunes character.
Like that character, Taz, the Tasmanian type of devil.
That's the best way, I guess, that I've been able to have her describe it.
She also would always say that it was like a safari noise
because she immediately remarked to, like, my grandma,
oh, there's a safari out there.
That was some kind of really loud, not noise we're supposed to have in this area.
And it just was a little weird to her.
and she's listened to again like just all these other like recordings of like mountain lions and foxes and owls and she's never able to find anything else that resonates like what she heard so it would be interesting to know because how she said it sounds like a safari out here sometimes people will describe what they hear as like a combination of sounds at the same time one of the sounds including like an elephant trumpet
or kind of safari-type creatures.
Yeah, I would say that could be a way that the way that she was describing this,
it was just like a mess.
It was like a scramble of noise.
It was just a bunch of jumbling of a lot of commotion was happening.
She also describes it as like when cartoon characters start fighting,
and there's like that fight cloud where they all just are like mangled together.
It was very much like that, if that makes sense.
It's a very weird description, but that's the best way she could articulate it into a descriptive way.
Has anyone ever reported any, hearing any, like, weird mechanical noises that don't really, aren't really explainable a way?
I don't think so, not that I know at least.
But again, growing up, I feel like there's been times where I've been out in the woods and I probably have heard, like, the car door noise.
Right.
Car door's closing.
Yep.
But I don't have any, like, direct accounts of that or memories directly of that.
you're that whole
Tasmanian devil slash safari
noise thing that's very very interesting
yeah
yeah it's just bizarre to me because it's like what
if somebody can explain that is oh that was just
that's coyotes okay and if you can show me that noise
I will 100% now we know
but as far as we can tell from everything we've heard
and we've poured through at this point
basically hours of different animal sounds
and it's not like anything else we've heard
or that she's heard, I should say.
Did you say daytime?
That probably happened
the first time it happened at my grandma's house
for her. It was like dusk.
They started to become dusk.
The second time when it happened at her house,
it was nighttime, and she was outside
with our dog at the time.
And our dog also, she immediately was scared
and wanted to go inside.
She was a little like Yorky,
but she normally would have, you know,
a ton of, she would be at, you know,
Too big for her britches, almost, so to speak.
And not that time.
She was really, she was not okay with that.
That is very interesting.
Have you guys ever talked to neighbors of either property to see if they've experienced weird stuff?
Not really.
Just because how do you casually bring this up?
No, I get it.
I live in country, Iowa too.
I get it.
I want to, like, hopefully sometimes soon I can start doing it.
that because I want to try to just investigate the town that I lived in and see if anyone else
had reoccurings of something like this or long ago something happened.
Growing up, I do remember there was like an incident my neighbors told my parents about
and it definitely this could be humans or maybe it's not.
But at nighttime, someone was breaking into their garage and like going into our forest
and they didn't really describe it was just a dark figure
so I mean could have been a human
but that was just a story I remember growing up and it was always a little weird
to me at least yeah that's interesting that feels like
you definitely you could ask some interesting questions
about that to those people see if they were
if they were holding certain types of food in the building
that was broken into or also
sorts of interesting things, but yeah, that's an interesting story. One question I wanted to ask you
because growing up in that area, I just interviewed a guy from up in near Waukon, and I want to know,
I want to see if you've heard anything. Growing up in that area, did you ever hear any people talking
about Bigfoot around Yellow River State Forest or backbone? Not really. The only first thing I ever
heard growing up was my cousin's account and that was taking place more towards where we lived
we didn't really at that point it was occasionally we'd go out to backbone but not often gotcha got
and i guess the same question but more towards southeast Iowa no nothing down there actually
southeast yeah no nothing really happened in southeast iowa okay there's a big fun in my family
Cool.
Man, you guys definitely have experienced some really interesting things.
When you put the whole picture together, it's a pretty incredible story for Iowa.
It's pretty cool.
Another thing, too, another couple of quick stories.
Yeah, go ahead.
My aunt, she had an experience by the Turkey River once, probably again, early to mid-90s,
where they were out camping her family.
And next to their camp, there was a Black Panther.
that walked by and went down to the river, didn't bother them or pay attention to them,
but she was very clear that it was a large black panther,
and she was not, no one believed her, and she was very upset because she knew what she had seen.
She knew what house cat looked like, she knew what dogs looked like,
and this thing had too long of a tail, it was too lanky of a body to be something else other than what she described.
And then another thing she recently told me about, too,
more towards
southeastern
in Iowa
but more
middle of the state
I guess
she was out one night
with her and her
boyfriend
they were going in
they were in their garage
they were watching
a movie or whatever
and they were getting ready
to go in the house
and they looked out
over to this cornfield
and they could see
these lights glowing
and she described it
and they described it
as five to six lights
it was glowing above
this farm
and then it shot over
above this field
sat there for probably
five minutes
and then it just shot up
into the sky
super fast
and she was super scared.
Her boyfriend wasn't as scared,
so he watched it a little bit longer,
but she was really put off by that
just because of how low to the ground it was,
just how unearthly it seemed and how fast it was going.
Was that also in the mid-90s as well?
That took place, no, actually.
That took place just last year in 2003, I should say.
Let me see if I'm forgetting any other details
from which you told me.
I think it was probably like spring or summer because it was pretty nice out.
That's what they were saying.
I think that's pretty much everything I can think of with that.
Sorry, did you say that was Fayette County as well?
Actually, that took place down more towards Clinton, Iowa, that kind of area.
Okay.
That is really cool.
Iowa is such an interesting place because it's one of those states where people usually don't talk about stuff.
but when they start to talk about it,
they definitely talk about it.
It's almost a thing, too,
when you start to become the person in your area
that will listen to the weird stuff,
then people are going to come directly to you on the side.
So I think as you're,
it sounds like you're trying to look into your area,
and even over in Wisconsin,
as you become known for it,
they're going to come to you.
They're not going to want other people to know that,
but they'll come to you on the side for sure.
I hope so because that's yeah that's what I want to start doing I just want to start
trying to get some answers of what's going on in this area what people are seeing if it all
possible some kind of DNA or footprint evidence that would be ideal unlikely but based on
what people are seeing it's got to be something awesome Taylor I'm glad you reached out to
me it's nice to have more information about a part of Iowa that everyone talks about
but I don't have a lot of solid info yet.
So it's good to have some good solid information.
So thank you for reaching out.
I appreciate you letting me be on and let me tell my stories or my encounters, I should say.
Stories just sounds so, you know, not really credible.
But again, these things are all things that happen to me and my family.
We're not exaggerators.
We are very credible people.
We want to know the truth of what's happening.
And it's just so unsettling.
with what's happened. And it's more just the fact that aside from my cousin's sight and actually
physically seeing it, it's the unknown of what it is. It's just a figure in the darkness and some
elusive shadow. Absolutely. Part of the alert for me is just trying to figure out what all this
stuff is that we have out here. If anything else comes across your plate, would love to hear about
it. You're welcome to reach out if you ever need to do that.
I'll do that for sure, yeah.
