In this show, we go beyond the campfire stories to bring you first-hand encounters from people who say they've seen something impossible.
From backwoods trails and remote mountain haulers to quiet farms and crowded highways, the stories come from everywhere.
And each one leaves us with more questions than answers.
These are the voices of the people who've lived it.
So settle in because today you'll hear another account that just might change the way.
you see the woods forever.
So stay with us.
All right, Bigfoot Society.
You've got the privilege of talking to Terry today.
Terry is an individual I got connected to.
I sent a message after, I think, probably Terry.
I saw you in the Small Town Monsters documentary.
Yeah, I'm guessing.
Yeah.
And I was like, man, I would love to have a chat with Terry.
So reached out and he was willing to come on the show.
So a few things about Terry here.
Terry's an outdoorsman, a photographer.
and also a Bigfoot investigator.
And he's had some really interesting things happen along the years.
So that's why he is on the show today to share a bit about that.
So welcome to the show, Terry.
How are you doing?
I'm doing fine.
Thank you for having me on.
Absolutely.
Terry, if you wouldn't mind taking us back to when you first started having interactions with Bigfoot
and what that was like at that point in your life.
For me, it's here in Indiana.
Okay, so I'm going to guess I was in fifth grade,
and me and a friend who lived on a farm across from us were on his property
and his wintertime, and we were out in his woods playing.
And we had just came back across the creek,
and we were going to head back up to his house when we got just,
maybe 100 yards or so
from the woods
into the pasture. We heard a loud
noise which drew our attention
to turn around and look
and we saw something
tall, dark, and hairy
it looked like it probably stepped
on a fence back there
and
it was walking behind a woodpile
and we could tell
it was tall because I knew about how tall
the woodpile was or the fallen tree
And then it came around the corner.
I could do that S.
And then kind of,
it looked like it was going to come back down the hill towards where we are.
But then it turned and went back up.
And we saw it walk off into the next set of woods on the other person's property.
And I don't know what made us say Bigfoot, but we said Bigfoot.
And I guess that's the only thing we knew what we thought it could be.
And so like dumb young kids did, we said we're going to go look.
So we go back into the woods and we go up to where the tracks are.
And they are barefoot tracks and they're pretty big.
Of course, we know we didn't measure them at that time.
We didn't have nothing with us.
And we wouldn't have known what to do back then being such a young age.
So we're like, wow, why would anybody be walking in the woods barefoot?
foot and we thought maybe it was just a guy in a coat but we thought no this guy would freeze
that being barefoot so we decided we're going to follow the tracks so we start following the tracks
and we go into the next section of woods and then this is where it got eerie we found maybe four
to six piles of rocks maybe two foot tall stacked in pyramid shapes and we were like what is this
and so look we started uncovering one of the piles of rocks
and there was a dead cat underneath them
so we uncover another set of rocks
a dead cat
so whatever this was storing food
and it was so weird because we know animals
do not store food especially like that
and that's when we decided we're leaving
so we left and that was
to the extent of all that happened
that day every once in a while at our house we would hear we heard one night a man screaming
and it was so loud that the next day our neighbor's boss also heard it and we didn't know if that
was a cougar or we didn't think about bigfoot and so let's fast forward to the summer
i go back over to that farmhouse it's owned by another new family and i stopped
stopped and I talked to the son. I was outside. And I told him about our childhood experiences
on the farm. I says, there anyway, I could go back there and look. I'm just, I've been dying
to know if there's still any signs of what I've seen. He goes, let me get dad out here. His dad
knows more about what's going on and he really should be the one that says, yay or nay. And so his
dad comes out and I tell him and he, I said, have you,
knows anything odd or having experiences and he goes no but and he's talking to his son he goes
but your sister has and a son kind of perks up like what and he goes yeah she used to have parties
back there in the woods and she won't do it anymore because she kept seeing shadow people
and the son was like why have i never heard about this so i was fascinated to think that
there still could be activity after all these years back in those woods with
maybe the same thing or offspring of whatever it was could be generational.
And I still would love to go back there, but he wouldn't allow me to go back there.
So I don't know if it's because of insurance reasons or why, but he wouldn't let to go back on his property.
So that was my experience as a child, and I wanted to follow up with it since I knew more about what to do today.
So that's pretty interesting.
Okay, so yeah, that is extremely interesting.
So to maybe ask a few questions about what you've shared so far,
so you said it's tall, dark, and hairy, how far away from it would you approximate that it was?
So from the creek to where we were, maybe 100 yards, from the creek to the hill, maybe another 50.
We could clearly see it.
We could clearly see it once it came around the wood pile or the tree.
I keep calling a wood pile, but it was a fallen tree.
But we could clearly see it when it came and did that little S turn back up the hill.
We thought it was coming down at us, and then it turned to went back up.
How tall would you think it was?
Oh, man, as a kid in the distance, it's really hard to say.
It could have been six or seven foot, maybe.
It was big.
had long arms, darkened fur.
And at first we thought it was just a guy wearing a coat
until we saw the footprint.
Absolutely. That is
so 100 yards, 50 yards.
That would be, you'd see stuff,
but it would be hard to see some details probably.
Oh, yeah, we couldn't make out
like facial or...
I know
I know maybe this is why it turned.
I do know it looked at us
because you could see what looked like,
I guess from that distance,
a face looking at us.
But you couldn't make out
because we thought
was maybe wearing a fur hat
and you just couldn't make out the details.
So that's why we thought
as a person at first.
You said it so dark,
dark kind of coat or hair
or whatever you would want to call it
were you able to see a color at all
or just that it was dark?
It looked like black
and it was all black
not just from
because if a person had just been wearing a coat
it had been from the waist up
but it was all dark
but we didn't put that
two and two together at the time
oh sure
you're in fifth grade
so you're
you had a totally different sense.
We were really scared because we both yelled like Bigfoot and then we was like,
let's go.
The kid and us took over and let's go look.
Absolutely.
What year was this?
Let's see.
I'm 61.
And I'm not sure how old I wasn't fifth grade.
You could have been around 10 or 11 potentially.
Probably, yeah, probably not that age bracket.
I wouldn't have been older.
I know that.
Let's see, that would have been, so 25 years ago, it's 2000, and then, what, 70s, maybe?
Yeah, I would say definitely the 70s.
Okay, got you.
So had you heard anything about Bigfoot activity in the area prior to then or seen any movies?
No, I didn't even know anything about.
really bigfoot so i never would have thought anything about it and i'm like i said i'm not for sure
why we said bigfoot right i really can't remember watching anything or i don't know how i knew about
pigfoot i really don't yeah that that is probably one of the weirdest things right there is that's
very strange but you you knew to yell it and that's what you did so there you go also so you
So you went back to the property then as an adult or was it the summer next?
No, I went back as an adult this summer.
Okay.
Gotcha.
Because it's always been in the back of my mind that I want to go back.
And I really wanted to go back into the next section of the woods where the piles of rocks were to see if they were still there.
And just to see if there was.
because now I know what to look for as far as activity goes,
and that's what I really was wanting to see.
But I found it interesting that the dad had told me
about his daughter being scared to go back there
because I've seen shadowed people.
Absolutely.
I'm guessing you never got access to talk to the daughter, probably, correct?
No, and I gave him my number and told him
if she would ever want contact me to do it.
Gotcha.
Yeah. So let's go back to you're in fifth grade. You have this really interesting encounter that happens. Your friend is there. And it's just one of those classic Americana stories, young kids, the monster, stranger things. How did that start affecting you in the years after it? Did you jump right into, I got to figure out what this is, or did you forget about it and come back at a later time?
I just forgot all about it.
I remember telling another buddy at school, and he used to joke with me about it,
and that was just a thing even through high school that we joked about always.
He'd do a big foot run.
That was his joke with me.
And that was really it.
There was never know thinking about, oh, I should go back and look.
I also find this very interesting that the guy that I was,
with his cousin went to my high school and she recently contacted me about her daughter who lives
out by Stilesville and said her daughter thinks that they have a big foot on their property
so i thought this is very interesting there was a family connection to my friend back then
that went to current today and so i went and looked and
I guess some interesting things in my trail camera that I'm not really for sure what they are.
But after about three or four days, the activity stopped.
So either I scared it off or it's staying away from my cameras, whatever this thing was on my camera.
But I thought that was very interesting, the tie-in between my friend back then and my investigation that I went to just recently.
Absolutely.
And Indiana has come up on the show
actually quite a bit recently,
but it's been more southern Indiana
because you're down there by the Ohio River
and the border of Kentucky,
so there's a lot going on down there.
You mentioned Stilesville,
and I'm looking it up.
That's actually up closer to Indianapolis, right?
No, Stilesville is, if you go out 40 West,
I live in Plainfield,
so it's about 20-something minutes west on US 40.
Okay.
Now, an interesting thing about this one I just did,
my encounter as a child was in Danville,
and one of my hotspots is in Bainbridge,
and there's a lot of activity in near Amo.
So there's a lot of activity in this one little area of the west side of Indianapolis.
I don't know if they are the same.
I also have a friend who lives just west of 42 in Morseville,
who had a siding on this property.
So I don't know if these are the same plans or,
different ones, but it's just interesting.
There's a lot of activity, not just down southern Indiana, but also in this area also.
That's good to know because a lot of the stuff I get is from like Hoosier National Forest.
And then I just talked to a guy from those Brown County State Park.
He had something happening there.
Yeah, that was really interesting.
So is there a good amount of forest to the west of Indianapolis then?
Yes. You got turkey run. You got shades. Those are huge tracks of forest. And then you have a lot of nature preserves. And this seems to be where I find the most activity are nature preserves. Maybe it's because it's less traveled with people.
Some of the nature preserves I go to are not well known. So maybe they like those areas. Because there's water, there's deer. I mean, there's all kinds of food.
horse.
Absolutely.
I'm glad you brought up
Turkey Run because I was not aware
this is the same area.
And that place has come up
on the show before.
Some really weird encounters
and sightings happen
in that park.
At least one of them
that I can remember.
And I've visited there
as a younger person.
You've got the
that canyon area
you go into with the high walls.
It's really easy
to see how
something could hide out in there.
But have you heard of anything happening in that area then?
I personally haven't.
But I don't really know a lot of people from that area.
Okay.
Another kind of weird thing that happened just recently while we were out near that area,
we were fishing on a boat.
Now, I'm not going to say this is 100% big foot,
but I really don't know how to explain this.
We were on a boat.
on the north end of a lake and
Waveland, it's called Wavon Lake,
and that's near probably shades and turkey run.
And this area of Cove we just came out of on the boat,
we,
the best way I can describe it,
on the hill of this cove was woods
and then also cornfield.
So there's nothing really,
no houses or nothing right there.
And we heard,
it sounded almost like an elk call,
but different.
And we both looked at each other, what in the heck was that?
So I played an L-Call on YouTube just to see if I could get response and we heard something run off heavy,
but we never saw one thing move at all.
And I'm thinking, gosh, we should have seen corn moving or woods moving.
And we didn't see nothing at all.
And I didn't tell my buddy this because he's not really.
much of a believer in Bigfoot, but it really reminded me, and I know the show is kind of a spoof,
but they reminded me on a show that had the Midnight Whistler on it.

And it sounded kind of like that
because that sounds like an elk call.
And I thought,
I know that's reaching.
That would be the Midnight Whistler,
but it didn't make me think maybe
it was a Bigfoot screaming ass
for being too close to the woods.
But it did sound like an elk.
And I'm thinking,
we don't have elk,
at least Roman, free in Indiana,
that I know of.
No, I don't know if that's true or not.
I just could be assuming.
But that was very odd.
No, that is odd.
So you had mentioned earlier that you went away from the subject.
You forgot about the childhood encounter.
Was there a certain thing that brought you back then in your adult years to looking into the subject?
Yeah, I had met a guy while we were out in my hot spot out in Putnam County.
this was a strange way of meeting them.
We and me and my buddy were hiking at this hot spot,
and we come across this guy and his wife,
and we'd talk to him about just normal stuff,
and then we didn't really mention anything about Bigfoot at the time.
And then I think he asked us why we were there,
and we told him that we were checking out some odd stuff
that's been going on in this area.
Well, he messaged me later on Facebook.
I don't know how he found me, but he said,
were you by chance of one out of hiking that day?
And we got the talk and then found out that he lives in this area.
I told you about near Amo that had a lot of activity.
And they were there for the same reason,
because they've had encounters at the same place.
and that's how I got hooked up with the IBRO is through him because he he attended a lot of stuff going on with our local chapter and that's how I got plugged in
gotcha and I would I would guess so IBRO is that like a local Bigfoot research group for Indiana then yes okay yes that's ran by Leroy nail sure yep yeah I've heard that name before
And so I started going to the get-togethers, and I've been going for, oh, man, a long time.
And I got to know a lot of the core people, and then eventually I became one of the core people.
And I went from curiosity to being a researcher.
Was there a certain event that took you from that curiosity to being a researcher?
Usually when you talk to people, there's something that kind of pushes you over the edge,
or was that something where you were already there because of your childhood experience?
No, it was because of the different things that we were experiencing at this one particular location out in Putnam County that just made you want to know more about what's going on.
and like when you hear what sounds like a Louisville slugger hit a tree and you're out of the middle of nowhere and you know it's not a person you start to think what what in nature can do that
and you start finding track lines of barefoot tracks which brought me back to my childhood you're like what could do that I guess it could be a person walking the creek but when you get it
into the size that tracks they are,
dang, this person's got a really huge feet.
And then why would a kid be walking barefoot
and towards cold weather time?
And then those things make you want to know more.
And then the more you get into it,
the more weirder things happened and you experience
and you just keep wanting to know more and more.
Absolutely.
And I apologize.
My mute button has decided to stick.
So that's why I'm taking a few seconds
to kick back in.
But so this Putnam County definitely has some interesting things going on.
Has it gotten to the point where you or people in your group have also had sightings in the area as well?
Yes.
The guy told you I met at this particular place had not only sightings on his property, all his family, his kids,
everyone of them seeing this particular group of Bigfoot's.
on their property for a long time.
They used to be,
they choked it was like a little stopping point for them.
They had a little patch of woods in the back of their property.
But at the cornfields and this particular group of big foots would come by every year.
And they would see them.
They got so used to see them that they kind of just left them alone
because they just got to accept that's what they were.
That's, I know they've had multiple sightings.
And is it, so it sounds like it's a thing where it only happens certain times of the year.
Is that right?
No, this is all year round in this particular area.
Same thing with Morgan Monroe, another huge hotspot.
They have sightings all year round.
So I don't believe they migrate.
And Morgan Monroe is a state forest that's south of Indianapolis, correct?
Yes.
towards Martin'sville.
Gotcha.
And really, looking at the map,
that forest could connect to Yellowwood,
which could connect, really, to Brown County State Park.
So yeah, it all goes together, doesn't it?
Yes.
Yeah.
Wild.
From, I'll say this,
a different parts of the country seem to have different types of sightings
or people report them looking certain ways.
Have you found any patterns to the,
sightings that you're seeing around this area. Do they look a certain way usually or certain
colors? Normally, the people that I've talked to have seen them all say dark. The other thing is
a friend of mine, he had a very close encounter. And I'd say within 10 feet of them and
pitched black night and snapped a picture at the last second because he felt like something was
wrong. He could fill the heat off of something. So he snapped a
picture and it took off running once it realized that my friend had a phone in his hand and it
the picture looks just more it looks more humanoid than it does ape but it still has like an
apeish-looking features also it's kind of like a cross between ape and man from the look of the
face so that's probably the best picture i've ever
ever seen of one that close as far as the facial features.
Wow, that's really a big deal.
Oh, yeah, it's a huge deal.
And he also was in the interview for Small Town Monsters, which it hasn't aired yet.
I don't know if they're going to show the picture or not, but he then never wanted to go on the internet because, you know, critics are.
People tear things apart and would say Photoshop or AI.
but it's legit.
It's a legit picture.
Which is wild.
The way it's described, it sounds like, first, it sounds like it was taken before AI.
Yes.
Yeah.
So that's, we can say that's out.
My friend's not techie savvy.
So he wouldn't know how to do that.
It's impossible.
And we took this picture to the Ohio Bigfoot conference, and we showed at the,
that time when he was alive, Dr. Jeff Meldrum. We showed him and we showed Cliff Brockman.
And later I found out that Dr. Jeff Meldrum had approached Cliff and said, what do you think
that picture? That's pretty, pretty wild. They were intrigued by it. And so later I had a chance
to talk to Meldrum and he's okay, I need to know more about this picture to back up your story
because I don't know you, I don't know him,
out of the circumstances.
He goes,
but I'd want to see his camera roll on his film
so I could see the series of pictures he's taken.
And I said, okay, I'll get that for you.
And so I did what he had asked me to do.
And there's only just a few pictures on that particular day.
He goes, it's odd that he didn't take a bunch of pictures that day.
I'm like, he doesn't take a bunch of pictures.
And he's not the type.
He just goes randomly just take an odd picture.
picture.
So he had his camera ready in case something happened.
He didn't know he was going to take a picture.
So why would he have multiple pictures of things that he's not normally taking pictures
all the time?
So I said, I gave you what you wanted.
Here's the camera roll.
What more can we do?
And he's just going to, I'll have to say it's an unknown because I don't know all the
circumstances.
And he said, it could be legit.
and I'm like, my friend says it's pretty legit, so he doesn't want to sell it.
Yeah, in all respect to Dr. Meldrum, we did lose a great guy in the community, but...
Oh, yes, no.
Personally, I don't think that would be enough to discredit anything, just the fact that
take other photos.
That, to me, doesn't make sense, each to their own.
I would want to look more into the metadata of the photo to see, okay, if it's taken on a phone,
then it probably has date and also coordinate information.
So I can say, okay, look up the coordinates.
Is it the same area where this guy is saying he took the photo?
Man, that sounds very compelling.
It's going to be a photo like that where it could really kick things off.
And it's been what, let's see, 67 to now is to what, 50, 60 years.
It's time to have some other type of.
incredible evidence is needed.
And in today's day where there's AI, it's hard, really hard to get that legitimate
evidence.
And I think it's good.
In this particular area where this picture was taken, we've cast tracks.
We've got hair samples that right now we're sending, we've sent off to, I believe it seems
Derby.
Yeah, Derby are quite, or cut.
Uh-huh.
So we sent this off just recently to his new last.
but he's at to be analyzed and something else that we have that most people don't have is we have
somebody who works as a dispatcher for that area and they're calling my friend all the time telling
them about another siding that they have to go investigate and there's lots of sightings that are
going undocumented in that area oh my goodness we're casting tracks hair samples
my friend had the siding there.
We've had rocks thrown at us.
We've had, you name it, we get things that happen to us in this area.
So not just my area in Pettenham County, but also in Morgan, Road.
And it's wild that this, if you look at it on a map, as you said,
it's within 20 miles of Indianapolis, right?
Wow, that's incredible.
But I've been to that area, and you don't have to get far outside.
the city to realize that, yeah, there's some woods out here. I think we went to some,
some dairy farm on the northwest side of Indianapolis. And long story short, the woods out there
were incredible and it was right outside the city. So I can totally see, now that I know this,
yeah, there could definitely be a ton of Bigfoot activity out there in these areas. I think
that's a really interesting lesson potentially for other people and other parts of the
to learn is you get the right connection like that and you're going to get the stuff that just gets tossed away by the police department because they don't really care or they don't see well nine times out 10 when the officer gets there there's nothing to see so true true true just reporting of something that's been told to them though now I do know somebody I've met over the years
who's a retired Louisiana state police officer,
and he's had a siding,
and that's why he's in it.
And that tends to always get my attention
when you're dealing with somebody who's in law enforcement
that has had a siding because that adds credibility
because they're detailed people.
They're not going to mistake a human or a bear for a big foot.
They know what they're seeing when they see it.
And that just adds more credibility to me
when you have somebody that's higher up in the credibility department that has a siding.
So you already mentioned that there's been a at least one 10 foot away encounter where the photo was taken.
Yes.
Was that an outlier where you guys are getting that close or have there been other times when you've gotten relatively close?
We've had one. We've had one in the same area.
area. We were sitting and this is how crazy we are and this is what he did when he has an encounter.
Let me back up to his story first and I'll go to our current encounter.
He was sitting deep in the woods in this area, in a chair in front of his vehicle.
He had thrown some chicken gizzard down around the area, which I thought, man, you're just wanting to be a Bigfoot dinner.
And he said, you can hear the gizzard being eaten.
and something coming around.
He said, at first I thought
this raccoons or an animal.
But then he said,
I just had this uneasy feeling.
And he said,
I always keep my phone on
without the light on the camera
in my front pocket
in my sweatshirt.
So in case I need to take a picture,
I can real quick.
And that's when I felt like
I could almost feel the breath
with something real close to me.
And I got scared.
So I wanted to see what it was.
I take a picture.
And he said, the camera took the picture, and then immediately it just tore off through the woods.
He said, you could just tell us mad.
So fast forward to us sitting in chairs in front of the vehicle in a parking lot, not too far from where he had his encounter.
We're doing our, just doing some whoops and goofing off really.
and maybe I want to say 20 yards or less in that area off to my right.
I had just got out of the Jeep to get something,
and I was checking the back of the vehicle because he thought he'd heard something back there,
so I went to look, and my guy, there's nothing back there.
And I just get ready to come around the corner,
and I hear almost a softer version of my whoop about 20 yards to my right in the wood.
and I was so scared.
I ran, jumped inside the vehicle,
and I just, I knew that there wasn't normal.
I was like, there's no animals that can mimic my whoop.
And that really terrified me.
I don't get scared too often,
but I've had enough time since this stuff happens,
it does scare you.
And then,
it calmed down after a while and then nothing else happened.
So I think it was just letting us know it was there and knew that it was watching us
and it let us know it was in the area.
And that's the same area we've also been hit with rocks.
And that's a really hot area.
So it sounds like most of the interactions that are happening in this area,
are pretty non-aggressive, though,
I guess besides the rocks.
I was going to say,
the way the rocks hit us,
okay,
the first rock that hit,
my buddy's sitting left of me in a chair,
it hit just the top of his left knee,
and then ricocheted and hit me in my right thigh,
and we're sitting,
not even within two foot of each other.
And me and I heard him say,
and then I said, ouch.
and it stung my right leg.
So the fact that I wonder how hard it must have skipped off of him to hit me because it hurt when it hit my right thigh.
And so we're like discussing this and within maybe five minutes, I hear a thud and I hear him go out again and he got hit in the chest.
And hit him hard enough to have to have to bruise.
and I'm thinking what
kind of person
unless we're using night vision can throw rocks
from the woods with accuracy like that
and I don't know if I would call that
aggressive but
maybe
wanting us to leave maybe
I don't know how you would
categorize that
and then just recently maybe two nights ago
we had something throw something very aggressively at the vehicle
we were in a different location in that same area
and it hit the vehicle on the top
they've got like a rack up top it hit it hard enough
that it sounded like a gunshot and you know how a tuning fork sounds
when he hit it yes that's what the one of the bars on his rack
did after it hit it. Now that
was thrown with some force and aggressive
so we left
but we've never
I don't know I've never felt like a danger
but
I know when to leave when
things don't seem right.
Absolutely and I think
it's good that you feel like that
I'm trying to think of what I would feel
like in that same situation and
man when
most of the rock throwing
stories I take it's like they're not getting
hit, they're getting, it's going by their head or it's whizzing by that, but you're actually
getting hit and it's hurting you guys. And that kind of feels, okay, things are changing a little bit,
kind of playing for key. How big are the rocks that you're getting thrown at you? That's just,
you know, when it's pitch dark and you can't see. And like in the parking lot, it's all gravel.
So how are you supposed to find what it through? And then we tried to find whatever it threw in the
woods that made that really loud
hit, we couldn't find nothing.
Because you don't know what direction is coming,
and then with the impact,
that would have had it ricocheted off somewhere else.
So the odds of finding what it was
would be very hard.
Yeah.
Are there any bluff charges that happen in the same area?
Another section of this area.
I wouldn't,
I don't know if I'd categorize this as a bluff charge,
but I was doing a 10-mile hike in this area on a trail system.
And I was on mile 10 maybe and maybe trail, or maybe about 9 miles.
And I had just came around this lake in the woods.
And I'm, I come across a really weird tree structure that caught my attention.
All right, quick quiz for the hiring managers out there.

A tree had been pulled out of the ground,
moved over three feet,
and then wedged into another tree.
I knew a storm couldn't pick up a tree
and move it like this.
And then it had another cross-p
piece and it was just really weird so i'm filming it and i hear what sounds like that's what i
can describe it is a man's deep bellow and it was almost like it was like a grunt and i know it wasn't a
deer it was too manly the sound and that really scared me and i was like i guess it doesn't like
me film the structure so i'm getting out of here so that's what i did i left
But that's the only thing I could think of when you said a bluff charge or a blunt charge.
Absolutely.
Taking everything you've said into consideration, but I would agree with you that this is a very active area,
and especially this isn't a state like Oregon or Washington.
It's Indiana, but you've got some wild stuff going on, which just this by itself,
I'd say people maybe need to take a closer look at Indiana and not just the southern part of the state.
where most people go.
But would you be able to share anything
that has happened down in Morgan Monroe?
Most of the things I was just talking to you about
has all been Morgan Monroe.
Okay, cool, cool.
The only time I've ever seen I shine
is down in southern Indiana.
I like the southern, like what you're talking about,
the southern part of the state.
And this area is another hot spot
that another friend has been researching
for a really long time.
and every time we go there,
normally we see eyeshine.
And we just went there a couple weeks ago
and was out in the woods.
And I've never seen this before ever.
I've seen eyeshine,
but I never seen this happen before.
I was watching this whitish yellow,
I guess it would be an orb,
or it could have been an eye.
I don't know.
If faded, like it was going to disappear,
it started to fade and it turned to red.
And then it was red for, I don't know, 10 seconds then it disappeared.
I've never seen that happen before in my life.
I don't know how to explain it.
I don't know if it's an orb or I shine,
but I've never seen nothing change colors like that as a first.
It is really interesting when you get things like that into the equation,
not to say that we can explain Bigfoot,
but then you also start to put things like maybe orbs,
lights that you can't explain and just it really gets interesting and are you seeing lights like
that up in the Putnam County area as well all my investigation there has been during the day
most of my activity at Morgan Monroe is late into evening Morgan Monroe yes there's lots of like
my buddy who took that picture right before he seen that thing or took the picture of it he
was seeing orbs and he somehow thinks that they're usually his orbs right before siding.
I don't know if that's true or not. I don't know enough about the subject to say that's
yea or nay, but I've never seen the orbs at Putnam County because it's during the day.
Is there a reason that you've been sticking to the daytime hours for investigation in Putnam County?
only because that's when they're active it seems like there it's funny i had a friend come down
from new jersey and he didn't leave in bigfoot and i wanted to take him to his place not only to
hike but to let him see for himself what happens during the day and so we're down
at the creek and we're sitting there
talking and i said watch i'll do a couple rock claps and i took some rocks i clapped him no sir
and i did that and we don't know where this came from a branch comes flying and like scares us
but he didn't see it happened i didn't see it happened so i assumed he did it he assumed i did it
and he's wow where did that come from so we go over and look at it and it's not even
even from the same type of tree that's near there. So what even that type of branch? And he's like,
that's the same from the same type of tree. I said, I told you, I said, you must not really like
me doing the rock claps. And he's, man, I never would believe this unless I experienced it for myself.
And so this area has a lot of activity during the day. And so we're hiking up and we're getting
ready to leave. And there's a really steep bridge that you go across and you look down to the creek
and across.
And he stops me and he goes,
what?
And he uses the F bomber.
Is that over there?
We see these two yellow eyes in the brush looking at us.
And he says,
you see it?
You see it?
He said,
yeah,
I see it.
And so we sat there staring at it for a while.
And you could see it blinking.
And then they just quit.
So it left,
whatever it was,
quit blinking at so we wouldn't see it.
And my buddy was just,
blown away. He goes, wow, I
because when I get back to New Jersey, I'm going to
start looking for all these type of
things you told me look for with the tree
bends and breaks and
because I'm going to be more aware of my
surroundings now because I just
never would believe this to I experience it myself.
Well, that's pretty cool. That is really
cool. Do you guys have
trees get pushed over as well when you're
in there? Oh, yeah.
We get, it's mainly
bows and stuff
and three structures that we find.
We've only been one place where we heard
a tree
get crushed. I don't know if it stepped on it and broke it or if it
pushed it over, but
it was definitely
very loud and
you could tell it definitely was a tree.
We got that on our audio, so
it's pretty cool. We also
got the audio of the rocks
being thrown at our
vehicle, so we got a lot of audio.
But
I don't know if I've ever heard
a bunch of trees getting pushed down.
We had one tree who heard come down.
We don't know if that was from a storm
or rain or just a tree falling.
We can't really say any of these things
are actually Bigfoot.
Exactly. Does that ever
happen after you guys do some sort of vocalization or tree knock or anything like that?
Or is it just happening randomly?
Honestly, from what I've discovered or found, and I don't know if other researchers would agree
at this, I don't think they like you doing the whoops and the knocks and any of that stuff.
I know my friend that's with me used to always do this wounded rabbit call.
and every time he'd get peltered with rocks.
And one time in the group, he was playing that.
And a big limb came and smashed out the windshield of his Jeep.
And they don't like it.
So he quit using it.
So I know they don't like that.
But we think maybe when you're out there,
you just need to be quiet and not do any of that stuff.
Because we really feel like they know you're already there.
Why do you need to do all that stuff anyway?
Was that also in Putnam County where the guy's window got broken?
No, that was, I want to say, in Yellowwood.
Which is right next to Morgan Monroe.
Which, yeah, Morgan Rogue was all the way to Yellowwood.
Wow, they're not really messing around over there.
No.
That's wild.
That is wild.
Has anyone, so I guess it sounds like no one has gotten hurt past having a rocket thrown at them.
it stinging.
Uh-huh.
Okay, that's good.
We really don't, we really don't feel like they're out to do anything wrong to you.
It's like they're probably just as curious about us as we are them.
And they tend to hang around campgrounds.
They seem to like music and kids and just like seeing what we're doing.
have there been any events that could be considered infrasound related that you've experienced or heard about yes actually of all places my spot in puttonham county this has happened to multiple people there that you feel like you're disorientated and you don't know where you're at all of a sudden you've walked this certain trail maybe a hundred times and now all of a sudden you've walked a certain trail maybe a hundred times and now all of a sudden
you don't know where you're at.
And it's a very weird feeling.
And that's happening to more than one person?
Yes.
Okay.
Wow.
Sometimes in a group as well.
There's been two of us together or my other friend with some other people.
And it's my one friend one time was there with his family.
And his family's, what's wrong with you?
and he didn't remember being there.
And that's how we call it being zapped.
And that's the term we use for it
when all of a sudden you're disorientated
or feel like you don't know what's going on.
It's like they zapped you.
Yeah, that definitely makes sense.
Are there other things reported in the same county
that are not Bigfoot related
but would be like,
similar types of weird creatures out there?
Oh, there's rumor of the dog man.
How do you really know that's out there?
You know, that's also been rumored to be out there,
but I don't know of any other type cryptic activity.
What is your goal with the research that you've been doing
in the different areas that you have lots of activity?
Are you trying to work towards a certain thing,
like discovery of the species
or what would you say to that?
I really do it because
I want to know
what they are
we kind of learn about their habits.
We learn about
maybe the areas they frequent
and we know some things about them
but I want to know
it'd be so nice
if it was something that
science said existed and
They could prove it.
And they say the only way they're ever going to do that
is if they have a body on the table.
I guess for me, it's just about
keep learning about
who they are, what they are.
And that's what keeps me going.
We all share our research with people that we trust.
And it all helps
to learn more even from other people.
And I guess that's my goal
is to learn more about them.
that sounds like a great goal for sure Terry I want to make sure as we get towards the end of the interview and thank you so much for spending some time this afternoon talking to me about what you're experiencing there west of Indianapolis
I want to make sure though if do you have anything where ways people can keep up to what you guys are up to or is it a thing where you're a research group and sometimes you get on different shows to share about it
You can normally find out through the local chapter.
There's a lot of times that's where things are posted on Facebook is the website or the Facebook group.
And every year we have an Indiana Bigfoot conference.
We just had our second one.
That's always at the last weekend of September.
We have a town hall on a Friday night where people can come and share.
That's always really good because it's a great way for people to connect and learn about what's going on.
in their area.
So that's another way of really getting involved is going to one of the conferences.
Going to, there's usually two get-togethers a year that the group does, one in the spring and
one of the fall.
Attend one of those, learn what's going on from the researchers and just get involved.
Absolutely.
What's the name of the Facebook group?
Is it just look up for, look up IBRO or?
Yeah, Indiana Bigfoot Research Organization.
Okay.
And if people are interested that are maybe they're listening from this area, where does the town hall take place?
That is at the Indiana Bigfoot Conference.
Oh, okay.
Gotcha.
That's once a year.
Now, Leroy also does library talks.
And normally he posts that information also on Facebook on that page.
So they're always doing library talks.
So somebody can notify him and say, hey, won't you come down here and speak and he'll go speak.
Fantastic.
I'll make sure that I have links to that in the show notes for this episode so people can easily find that.
Terry, thank you so much for coming on the show.
Really opened my eyes to I didn't know so much stuff was going on closer to Indianapolis than the South.
But thank you for chatting today.
You're welcome anytime.
Before we wrap this episode, I want to say something directly to a very specific group of listeners.
If you're in the military, any branch, or forces, and if you've seen something that no one can explain,
or if you're a national park ranger or forestry worker who's been told to stay quiet,
if you're a pilot who's seen something strange down on the ground,
or if you're with the FBI, a federal agency, or working intelligence,
and you stumbled upon something you're not allowed to talk about,
And if you're a firefighter, paramedic, or search and rescue responder who's heard screams or found tracks that didn't make sense, if you're in the logging industry on a remote oil field or a trucker with government contracts, and you've had something happen that you've never told a soul, and if you're a biologist, a wildlife specialist, or a field researcher under contract, who has found evidence you're not allowed to report.
if you're a pastor, a missionary, or someone on a spiritual retreat,
and you saw something that shook your faith,
or if you work in the shadows, CIA, NSA, or anything with clearance,
and you've seen what the public hasn't,
then I want to talk to you.
