Welcome to the Bigfoot Society.
In this episode, I talked to Rocky, who shares the Bigfoot activity he's experienced in remote
areas of the Washita National Forest of Oklahoma in Arkansas.
If you've experienced something similar to what Rocky has or have more information
regarding Bigfoot or other cryptids in the same area,
please reach out immediately to me after this episode.
Remember, your encounter could be the key to unlocking this mystery once and for all.
So please don't hesitate to contact me at Bigfoot Society at gmail.com.
All right, Bigfoot Society, you've got the privilege of talking to a gentleman.
His name is Rocky.
He's a listener from Oklahoma.
And he reached out to me wanting to share some really interesting things that have happened over the years.
Rocky, how are you doing tonight?
Oh, I'm doing pretty good.
Looking forward to this for a while.
Absolutely.
I'll let you take the reins, my good, sir.
Okay.
I started out.
I really never thought a whole lot about Bigfoot.
Grew up in the 80s with Harry and the Henderson.
That's about as far as my thought process of it really ever went.
And then I was working nights and had a lot of downtime and would tend to get into these YouTube
holes, suggested videos.
And I was listening to one.
And it was some sounds from southeast Oklahoma.
And there's a small town that's growing quite a bit down there called Broken Bow.
And I'd been down there for my son's birthday.
And there's a nice little, quote unquote, Oklahoma Mountain Town.
And this was down in McCurtland County, which is where this town is.
And I thought, man, that's weird.
I never thought about Bigfoot being in Oklahoma, never thought about Bigfoot being real.
So I start listening to these videos.
And I enjoy camping, being outside.
I've grown up outside and never really crossed my mind.
And I'm listening to this audio.
And I had to put my headphones in.
And the description was it was a girl that had lived out there in the woods and heard this thing screaming off her back patio.
And I'd probably listen to this thing 10 times.
And of course, the algorithms, once you get into something, it keeps playing.
So I got into a few months of listening to podcasts and shows and hearing things.
and my curiosity starts going because traditionally you think of people that believe in Bigfoot
as being nut jobs.
And I'm listening to these stories and they're judges, they're cops, they're firefighters,
there's military guys.
And these are people that are held in fairly high esteem in our society.
A cop can put you in jail for the rest of your life if he says that you did something.
And now you have a police officer that's saying that they,
they've seen these things.
It's something that was in the back of my mind.
And a group of us went to the Ozark National Forest out in Arkansas
and we're camping out there.
And the first night we get there and we're settling down.
We're starting to cook some burgers.
And I'm sitting there and I'm talking to my friend Buck.
And I hear in the distance this scream that is just like the one on this YouTube video that
I watched.
And I'm listening to this thing.
And one, just the amount of force that it would take to make this noise for this long,
perked my ears up.
And I looked at him and he's looking at me.
And we were the only two that heard it.
And so after that, and that was all that really happened on that trip.
But after the fact, I went to Google Earth and I look up the area.
And from where we were, it was a down.
down slope about a mile
and a half, two miles and there's this
canyon. And so in my
head, I'm piecing together what I heard
and how this was echoing through
and I'm trying to
dissect what I heard
and what it could possibly be.
And the only way that I can describe
it would be if somebody had a massive
sound system and
it would have had to have been an audio
recording. And I just don't see where we
were as remote as we were, that
that is plausible.
So that gets me even more into it because now I've heard something, like in person,
not just something that could be made up online.
It's something that I've heard.
And so October of 2018, one of the guys who was on the trip with me hits me up,
and he's, hey, man, do you want to go on an off-road trip for the weekend?
There's a trail that is called the K Trail in southeast Oklahoma.
and a good portion of it has been shut off and made private land.
So what our goal?
Our point of the trip was to go from a place called Three Sticks Monument,
where it turns public and hit that trail into Arkansas
and then come around the backside of Broken Bow Lake,
and I found a camp spot that was fairly remote.
And so we're getting ready for this trip,
and this storm moves out.
in. And for people that are familiar with Oklahoma, 2018, ate a little town southeast of Oklahoma
city flooded real bad. And we're watching this on the news. And Matt and I were talking and we're
like, do we even want to go on this trip? It's going to be pouring down rain. But we were already
packed. We were already ready to go. I've got my son with me at the time. He was, I think,
five or six years old. He was super stoked to go. So I was like, Matt, let's just go. We'll get out there.
We'll camp. If it's just a muddy mess.
We'll go down and hit broken bow.
There's a bunch of little restaurants and stuff and then come home.
So we pack up and we head out.
And as we're getting closer, it's getting foggier and it's raining pretty hard.
In retrospect, I think they had gotten in Ada where it had flooded,
had gotten 10 inches of rain reported that weekend.
So it was raining pretty good.
So where we were hitting the trail, it's right by a road called Talmina Drive.
Now, Talmina Drive is very scenic, and it goes on the ridge of an Oklahoma mountain, and it goes from Tolena, I think is Oklahoma into Mina, Arkansas.
So it's right off of this road is where the K Trail intersects.
So we pull off, and we're both in forerunners, and the trail is a little bit wider than our trucks.
It's foggy, it's raining, and so I really don't know the layout of it at the time.
but we go maybe two, three miles on this trail.
And keep in mind, Broken Bow is about a 45-minute drive south.
There's a couple real small rural towns that are five, six miles north of us.
But where we are, and if you Google map this, there's nothing around.
So we go a few miles, and it's pretty foggy.
And there's a little clearing.
So Matt pulls his forerunner in.
and I pull up to his driver's side.
So the back of our trucks are towards the trail.
Looking forward, all I can see at this point is a little bit of trees,
have no idea what the topography of this place is.
So I've got a rooftop tent on my forerner.
So it folds over on itself.
So I open my tent up.
My son gets up in there.
It's raining.
We didn't even bother doing anything.
We just wanted to go to sleep and look for the next day.
again truck is off the front and a little bit or a little bit front and off to the passenger side of my truck he crawls in his passenger seat he's sleeping in his four hundred i jump up in in my tent the ladder to my tent is between my truck and his and if you to paint a picture my feet are by the ladder my head is on the other side of my truck so me and my son crawl up there and we
crash out. It's raining. I sleep great like that, but I wake up and I can feel something wet on my
neck and I'm exhausted. I'm like, what in the, what is this? And my tent has a sunroof and where the
zipper is for that sunroof and it was raining so hard, it was seeping through the rainfly and
puddling up on my tent and then dripping through this zipper. So it wakes me up and I'm like,
man, come on. So I reach up and I push my tent and all this water comes off of it and I start to go back to sleep.
And right about the time I go to sleep, I feel something wet on my neck again.
So I push up, get all this water off and I'm just about asleep.
And I hear something that will never leave my mind.
I hear something that sounds fairly large and is quick and to me is on two legs.
and it runs from behind my truck, down the side of my truck, and out towards the front of my truck.
So this catches my attention, obviously.
I've got my son with me.
We're out in the middle of nowhere.
I haven't grown up here.
I grew up in Southern California.
When I moved here, I've always been told that part of the state be very cautious when you get off of main trails because there are some questionable people.
So I've always had that in the back of my mind.
And now I'm in the middle of the woods, middle the night.
It's pouring down rain.
Nobody in their right mind is out.
And I just hear somebody run past my tent.
So I'm trying to wake up and get my whips about me.
And I'm like, did I really just hear this?
And about that time, I hear it come back.
And I hear this by my truck the way it came.
So now I'm like, I know I heard this.
So I roll over on my back.
And being the background that I have prior military,
I do not leave to go on stuff like this, especially with my son, without being armed.
So I'm laying on my back, looking towards the ladder of my tent, waiting for somebody to come up.
I've got a 45 sitting on my chest, and I've got a small tactical shotgun laying beside me.
In my mind, I'm thinking about one of the stories that I've heard.
A guy by the name of Randy Harrington, who's a big foot guy who lives up in Kansas,
and he and I talk quite a bit now.
He shared some pretty cool stuff with me.
But he's got a story where he had that.
He had one that was running back and forth by his tent.
So that's, you know, I'm triggering it on that.
I'm trying to pay attention.
This thing made six passes back and forth by my truck.
And my adrenaline's going.
My kids passed out.
I'm sitting there thinking I'm in a tent on top of a truck in the middle of nowhere.
what is my course of action?
Where are we going with this?
And what's weird to me,
and I'm sure it was just an adrenaline dump,
because I'm sitting there and I'm trying to calm my breath.
My mindset is if half of what I've heard about these things is real.
I don't want him, her, it, whatever, hearing my heart rate going.
So I'm trying to calm myself down and process through my mind, escape routes,
what my whole situation is going to be.
And I don't understand it.
I've been in other situations with high adrenaline before,
but to this day,
I do not know how I fell back asleep the way that I did.
Like I went from wired, wide awake,
listening for every single sound that I could.
In retrospect,
I wish I would have grabbed my phone and hit my recorder
and had it all recorded.
But I end up waking up in the morning,
and I'm looking around,
And my buddy notices me.
He's, what are you doing?
And I was like, man, what are you screwing with me last night?
He's, what are you talking about?
I was like, quit messing around.
Were you playing games last night?
Because he knows how I am, and he messes with me every now and again.
Everybody does.
But he's, I don't know what you're talking about.
And I was like, you weren't out running around last night.
He goes, dude, he goes, I got up.
He goes, you saw me when I got in my truck.
I was wearing nothing but my underwear.
He goes, I got up to pee and I was soaked.
Like, it was pouring.
I'm not going to mess with you.
He's, what are you talking about?
So I tell him what's going on.
And so we go over to that side of the truck and we're looking for anything.
Branches are broke off, footprints in the mud.
It's a real rocky area.
And looking back at it now, like I said, we're right on the ridge of a hill, mountain, whatever you call it.
And right after the trail, it drops off.
And it's just all wilderness.
It's bushes and brambles and trees.
And then there's a little clearing and it drops off the other side.
So we talked about it, looked around, couldn't find anything, thought it was weird.
And still raining.
But we're like, you know what?
let's just go let's do this so we pack up and we're driving and i'm paying attention to what's around
and we drove literally all day and i think we saw one other person on the trail coming towards us
never saw another house that i can recall until we crossed over into the arkansas side which was
it's a long ways away so it's not like somebody saw some headlights and came out to see what was
going on. So we get to the next spot and saw some really weird shrines, hoodies and pants that had
like stuffing in them. And this isn't on somebody's land. Like this is middle of nowhere. Off in the woods,
nailed to the trees. We saw this real weird shrine that had a bunch of kids toys and it gives you a
real creepy feeling. But we get to the next stop that we stayed at. And it's a beautiful spot.
It's on the east side of the lake. It's all hunting around over there in National Forest. There's
no houses, no nothing.
And we found this little spot, had a clearing.
You can tell people at camp there before.
And it was raining, but not really that bad.
And I was getting ready to start setting my tent up.
And I still don't know because my kid, he's 12 now,
and he still will not sleep in my tent after that night.
He'll sleep in the back of my truck.
But he was like, he said, I don't want to sleep in the tent tonight.
Can we just sleep in the four-hunter?
And I was like, man, yeah, if that's what you want to do,
we don't have to open the tent up.
We hang out, cook, have a little bit of a fire.
We're like, let's go ahead and call it a night.
Let's go, girls.
You know what I love about Addy?
Everything?
Well, yeah, but it's as little as 20 bucks a month.
Ooh, well, the little pink pill has always been a pretty big deal.

Every day, the headlines shipped, but the uncertainty never seems to fade.
From rising geopolitical tensions to record U.S. debt and ongoing debates about inflation and money printing,
Americans are watching economic forces that feel far beyond their control,
and for many, that instability is showing up in retirement accounts, personal savings,
and long-term financial plans.
More people are taking a closer look at options that don't depend on Wall Street.
Physical gold and silver have been used for generations as real tangible assets during unpredictable moments like these.
They're not about replacing existing investments.
They're about adding a layer of diversification that has historically helped provide balance during volatile periods.

Did you need 15 seconds away from music?
Or 15 seconds to eat or Reese's?
Perhaps it's true.
Everything happens for a Reese's.
My son gets in the back seat of my forerunner, and I'm in the front seat, and I've got 5% window
tent on my forerunners. At night, you're not going to see outside. And I still do not know
what this is. I got woke up. It was probably an hour or two before the sun came up. And the best
way that I can describe it coming from a dead sleep is it felt and sounded like an explosion,
like dynamite outside of my truck. And it physically shook my truck. So now my mind is going
back to what happened the night before.
After we did our big loop, I would say we were probably 20, 30 miles as the crow flies
from where we stayed the first night.
And I'm sitting in this truck that just was moving.
And I can't see outside.
I don't want to open my door because I don't know who's outside.
I don't know what's outside.
I open my door.
Every light in my truck inside and outside is going to come on.
I don't want that, like, tactical disadvantage if something is going on, whether it's a
big foot or some crazy guy.
in the woods. So again, I'm laying there and I'm trying to stay awake. I can't see anything.
Just pitch black through my windows. Eventually, I gosed off and went to sleep. And in the morning,
we got up. And I asked Matt again, I was like, hey, man, did you feel that? He goes, yeah,
what was that? I was like, I have no idea. Like, it shook my whole truck. But when I got out,
I have an awning that mounts on the roof rack side of my truck. And it's got two aluminum bars
that come out and then it's got two that come down.
And I had it to where, if it's raining, the water's going to run off of it.
When I get up and I try and get out of my truck, I can't open my door right because it's hitting
something.
Roll my window down and I see it's my haunting and I figured it just the wind caught it or something.
But when I got out, these aluminum bars were twisted up, the two sidebars were twisted
up like pretzels.
And then it was just laying there beside my truck.
Never saw anything.
Heard a lot, but definitely left an impression.
And it feeds more into the, I don't even know if it's mysticism,
but my curiosity of what it all is.
And so it was, that was October.
The following October, I was at a large off-road community greet thing.
It's a weekend deal that we go to every year.
And I had a friend of mine came down from Missouri.
and we were at the very far end.
And this is northwest Arkansas now,
but the very far end of this camp,
and we're backed up to this river,
and there was a fire pit that was about 30 feet,
40 feet away from the back of our trucks.
And the last night that we're there,
it was her daughter's birthday.
She had her daughter, and I had my son with me,
and we're having a bonfire.
It's just the two of us and both the four of us.
The kids end up going to sleep.
We're making, made some smores, and they go to sleep.
And so I've got some extra smores stuff, and we're sitting there and talking.
And we're both interested in strange things, alien, ghosts, big foot.
So we're telling stories back and forth of things that have happened to us.
And I was telling her about what had happened in Oklahoma.
And so just past where we're parked, there's a river.
The other side of the river is nothing, like hundreds of acres, miles of,
just wilderness. There's nothing over there. And we're sitting there and we're talking and I can
hear something across the river in the woods. And so we're talking and I've got a pretty strong
flashlight and I click it on across the woods and as soon as I put my light over there,
it stops. So I click it off and we're talking and it starts up again. So I click it on and it stops.
And she's picking up on what I'm doing and she's, what are you doing? I was like, you not hear that?
as I do. And I was like, I figure it's a deer or something. I'm just looking for some
eye shine. I don't know what it is. So we're sitting there and I've got my back to my truck.
And when I'm looking at the fire, she's on the other side of the fire. And then there's
maybe 15, 20 feet away. The little sandy beach that we're on turns into woods. And we're
sitting there and I hear something fall by us. And I'm thinking maybe a stickhorn or something.
And so we're talking.
And I start hearing stuff across the river again.
And I flick my light on.
And as soon as I flick my light on,
I hear something come out of those woods on our side of the river.
I hear it hits some leaves and branches and it falls right next to me.
And I click my light off and I look down and I'm looking around.
There's no acorns.
There's some small rocks.
This is getting interesting.
We're sitting there talking to some more.
and I hear something across the river.
And I flip my light on.
And when I flip my light on, again,
something gets thrown from the other tree line.
So I flip my light on to that other tree line.
And then across the river, I start hearing noise.
Now my friend picks up on what I'm doing because she's hearing it all.
And she goes, she goes, is this really happening right now?
And I said, I've been paying attention to what's across the river.
And I've started noticing when I flip my light on over there, it gets quiet.
but I get something thrown at me from over here.
And she's, yeah, she goes, I've been hearing that.
And then when I flip my light on and look at this tree line,
across the river starts making noise.
And it wasn't in like a threatening way.
It had this very playful banter to it.
And I was enjoying it.
We were like, you know what, I need to go to the bathroom,
the closest bathrooms we had to walk.
It was like a five-mile walk to where these bathrooms are.
So we get up and we go there and we come back and we start talking
and the same stuff starts going on.
the people camping next to us, he was a Air Force pilot in training, and his wife was a veterinarian.
And they were up at the main part of the camp across the place.
They've been drinking, and they come over and sit down next to us, and they're talking.
And the whole time, the back and forth across the river and behind us is going on.
And she got hit, the veterinarian girl got hit by a little rock.
And she looked at me and she was like, what was that?
And I was like, oh, we've been playing back and forth.
I said, there's something across the river and there's something in the tree line.
And when I turn my light on across the river, something in the tree line gets our attention
and we'll throw things at us.
And this girl gives me this look pale as a go.
She's, nope, I'm out.
I'm not doing this.
I'm leaving.
Off she goes.
So anyway, I know I'm rambling a little bit, but this was one of the cooler things that I just,
I can't explain anything other than linking it back to other stories.
we've got to get up and leave in the morning.
We're going to make some breakfast.
And so the fire's dying down.
And I had a couple of extra Hershey's bars.
There was some graham crackers, some marshmallows.
And me, just being me, we get up and I left all the food there.
And I was like, all right, man, like we've had fun with y'all.
But I'm going to leave you some snacks.
Enjoy.
We're going to bed.
So we go up, crash out.
The next morning we get up and I'm making bang.
pancakes and bacon and all this.
We get done and I go to start cleaning dishes and pots and pans.
And I've got this big six-gallon jug of water that I use.
And there was a tree that had been cut down that was laid down right behind my truck.
And then there's another tree that's directly behind my truck.
It's still there.
So I'm using the one that had been cut down to prop my water jug on and I'm washing stuff.
And I completely forgot about the food.
that I had left out.
And I glance over and the tree behind my truck,
now keep in mind, this is 35, 40 feet away from where our fire was.
And at the time, the wind was blowing from where my truck was to where the fire was.
I look over and there is a full Hershey wrapper placed right at the base of the tree
looking right at my truck.
And I look at that and I looked over at my friend and I was like, hey, I was like,
come here. And she's like, well, I said, just come here for a second. I said, did you do that?
And she was like, no. She goes, where'd that come from? I said, I left him on the chairs over there.
And she's like, that's strange. And so I'm thinking it's one of just the rappers. And I'm like,
what are the chances of this wrapper blowing out of the bag that it was in against the wind?
And even all of that laying perfectly on the ground pointed at my truck. So we go,
over there and I pick it up and it's one of the full bars and there's about three quarters of it
is gone.
And so I look at the rapper and I'm thinking if it's a raccoon or something the way they're going to
tear into it and it wasn't.
It was torn into it like somebody with a finger and a thumb grabbed it and ripped it.
And there was one bite that was out of it, very large comparative wise to a Hershey bar.
If I would have bitten into it like that, the teeth and the way that it was bit into
would not have looked like that.
So we start looking around, and I've got some pictures.
I think I still have them on my phone.
It's Sandy going down to where the lake was or the river was.
And we start looking around, and we notice what looks like a footprint.
There's, I think there was four, maybe five faux impressions.
And there was like the front of your foot.
I don't even know if that's the heel or the ball.
I guess that's the ball pressed in.
and then you can see a little bit of the heel.
And so my friend that was with me is she's about six foot, six one.
And so she pulls her foot, her shoe off and puts her foot next to it.
And it's quite a bit bigger than hers.
And so I'm six three, about two forty five, two fifty.
And so I get down in the sand and I get my thumb and I try and push my thumb down in the sand.
And I'm pushing as hard as I can.
And I couldn't even leave any bit of a divot in there.
We took some pictures of it, cleaned up our stuff and went home, but that was definitely a fun night.
And like I said, it was very playful.
But then the next day to have that left the way that it was.
And we were in the fam camp side.
So everybody was asleep on our side.
We went to bed.
Like there wasn't anybody up.
We were one of the first ones up in the morning.
So like the likelihood of somebody coming and placing that and doing that is just very slim.
I guess it's there.
But in my mind, it's.
It didn't happen like that.
You said that you could see where something had taken a bite of the bar, right?
Yeah.
Could you tell what shape of teeth were used with when there was a bite taken of that bar at all?
So if you could picture a Hershey's bar and if you took a bite diagonally on one of the corners.
And like I said, it was about, I don't know, a quarter to the bar.
was gone. The rest of it was there. And it looked like
there were definitely rounded teeth. Like it wasn't
a squared off, straight edge. It didn't look like
a cat. Oh, you ever see a cat when it chews on something, how it's real jagged.
It was very smooth, very rounded. And there was about
maybe two, two and a half curves in there where something had bitten
into this bar. And looking at it, and her and I were going
into detective mode on this because we thought it was pretty cool.
But it was way bigger than I would have,
my teeth marks would have made in it anyway.
It makes for just a strange story,
definitely having those,
that candy bar messed with and then the thing on the other side,
the river.
But what I also think is very strange is in another one of your accounts,
the aluminum bars that were twisted up like pretzels.
Do you think there's any chance that a human,
the type of bars that you had there,
any chance that a human could have done that?
Or were they pretty steady bars that you had there?
No, they're very lightweight aluminum bars.
I mean, I could twist them up pretty easy.
More of the reason that I think that it wasn't a person
is just the amount of,
not the amount of,
but the area that we were in was so remote.
And like I said,
we went all the way into Arkansas,
all the way back, it's all dirt roads and trails.
There's no houses out there.
There's no houses that I'm aware of from Broken Bow Lake until you hit the Arkansas
state line.
And the only thing that I saw there was there was a church camp right on the state line.
But there's nothing there.
It's all public land and hunting land and national forest.
Just the amount of people that we saw that day.
And then even when we left, we didn't see anybody until we got like back on a main highway.
So the weather that we have, the rain that we had, and the fact that we literally did not see anybody around.
I just, and honestly, if it was a vehicle that pulled up from where we were parked where the trail came in, they would have lit my truck up when they were coming in.
I would have, my windows are dark, but I'll see taillights or something.
So they would have had to have been on foot.
And I just, I really don't, it's possible, but I don't think that it's plausible that it's plausible that it's plausible that it's,
anybody else was out there.
And I even thought about the wind and the rain being on it, but that might crease them
in half and make them fall.
But these were like twisted around, twisted up.
It had be extremely weird.
It'd be unsettling for sure.
And you were sitting there and ready for anything.
Have you ever thought about what if something had actually poked its head up or you actually
got a visual of something?
if you ever thought about how that would have played out.
I don't.
I have, but I don't know how it would have played out.
So my standard load when I go now, I've got two handguns that I keep on me.
One of them has got 24 shots in it.
The other one has got 14 plus one in the chamber.
The shotgun, I typically keep two loads of buckshot and then three loads of a slug.
and then I've also got a small 300 blackout AR pistol that I take with me with 30 rounds
and then I bring quite a bit of extra with me.
I honestly don't know how that would have worked.
The military side of me, the training side of me,
if I would have seen something that wasn't human poke its head in my tent,
I'm probably going to, in my mind of the size of these things,
because I've heard multiple people say,
I don't think I had enough firepower for it.
I'm probably going for eyes, possibly a throat if I can see it.
But I really don't know.
And I've got that feeling to where I don't want to be aggressive with something that I don't think that I can win against.
That said, having my son with me, if something's going to be aggressive, it might kill me, but I'm going to do everything I can to hurt it and make it second guess what it's doing.
Like I said, I just, I had that 40 on my chest with one hand on it.
And then I had the other one with the shotgun beside me.
And I don't know how that plays out.
And it's still, it messes with my head when I think about taking my son out.
Because if I go out somewhere and something happens to me, it happens to me.
But the fact that he was there with me took it to such a different level that I don't know how that would have played out.
It's definitely very interesting to put myself in that situation to being a father as well.
And yeah, it really puts a whole different spin on it.
That area that you were traveling through in southeast Oklahoma,
have you heard of other people experiencing Bigfoot in that same area that you were?
It is a very hot spot.
And I've listened to a few of your podcasts.
And I linked up with you on TikTok.
Let's go, girls.
You know what I love about, Andy?
Everything.
Well, yeah, but it's as little as 20 bucks a month.
Ooh, well, the little pink pill has always been.

A really big deal.
I'd call that a good investment.
Cha-chang.

They say everything happens for a reason, but I suspect everything happens for a reases.
Like this commercial break.
Did you need 15 seconds away from music?
or 15 seconds to eat or Reese's.
Perhaps it's true.
Everything happens for a Reese's.
There is, when you get down into the Broken Bow, Hoachetown area,
it's a lot of the touristy things.
Everything is Bigfoot down there.
They've got the big foot meat that I found out this year.
I guess they're canceling that or trying to find someplace else to have it,
but they've got the big Canovia.
I live here.
I still don't know how to pronounce some of these towns around here.
But they do the big, Bigfoot festival down there.
There's that famous one that you were talking about a couple days
go, the siege on Pinobia that is all right in that area.
I actually had a friend of mine that moved.
He sold his house.
He lived in a town called Antlers that's been the same area.
And he was having some that were all over his yard.
And he had security footage of it.
I can send you the link.
I think he still has his videos up on YouTube where you can see shadows coming and going.
They were messing with his horses, messing with his kids.
And he packed up.
I think he's in South Texas now.
They ran him out of his house.
So there's definitely a lot.
lot of activity down there, a lot of just wild untouched land. And that's, everybody says,
I don't think that those things exist. We would have seen them. I'm like, man, get an airplane,
fly over. See how many miles and miles of just nothing. I get like the whole hokey image of Bigfoot.
But if you think about it in a different way, is it possible in these thousands of square miles
that something exists that we don't know about? That's something that is highly intelligent,
that is very good at hide and seek, if you want to call it that.
Is it plausible that there's something there in thousands of miles that we just, we can say we've
discovered them.
We've flown over them, but I guarantee you, there's plenty of places just in the state that's
never had a human foot touch.
That is wild to think about, I haven't gotten the chance to go down to Oklahoma yet, but
from what I've researched and seen the Wachita National for.
forest alone is just such a massive area.
I'm sure you've thought of this a few times as you've done different forms of looking into
Bigfoot.
The creatures that are reported around that area of southeast Oklahoma, do you think we're dealing
with an undiscovered great ape or what do you think we might be looking at with this
particular creature in the area?
I don't know. I've heard a lot of really compelling arguments of them being some sort of a supernatural thing. You get out in snow and you're following footprints and then they just disappear. I've heard a lot of links to these orbs of light and then these things show up. I don't know. I guess I look at it more of an actual creature, an animal, more along those lines than I do maybe a spiritual thing.
Speaking of all of that, it's on topic, but Oklahoma's got a lot of Native American.
And it's funny that literally every single tribe has got some sort of lore of a Bigfoot or a hairy man or whatever.
It's just, I don't know, I see it more of being just a creature that is really smart.
It's good at what it does.
It's good at hiding itself.
It's good at covering its tracks.
Everybody says if they were real, we'd have one in the zoo.
Cool.
I've never seen a bear when I'm out places.
I know there's places I can go and probably see one,
but in my day to day, I never have.
There's a lot of animals that you're just never going to see.
They're good at camouflage.
They're good at hiding.
So if you get something that's highly intelligent,
I don't see where it's outside the realm of possibilities
that it's just good at what it does.
It's good at hiding.
Yeah.
I don't know.
Just southeast Oklahoma feels it's one of those places that you've got people like the guys from Area X and NAWAC.
It just it feels if we actually get to the point eventually years down the road where we get a type specimen or we get a solid this generation's video or photo that's not blurry, it feels like it's going to happen in that area.
But I don't know.
We will have to wait and see.
You mentioned that some maybe supernatural aspects or non-flesh and blood.
Have you heard accounts in that area where there's been things like orbs or things that might not be attributed to flesh and blood creatures?
Yeah, yeah.
You hear stuff about the orb thing.
That buddy of mine that had to play some antlers has got a very weird video that I don't.
understand at all. But he, right before he moved, and this video is one of the reasons that he
moved, he had a above-ground swimming pool. And from the camera angle from his house, he's looking
out his backyard, and there is the swimming pool, and his horses are in a pasture back there,
and he's got lights that are on motion sensors and everything. But he's got this video
where if you look at the pool and it's just on one side of the pool,
because I'm thinking about it from scientifically,
different weather anomalies or high pressure,
low pressure around where the water is and it's warm and it's humid,
but the horses start acting weird, lights come on,
he's filming it,
and there's like this fog that creeps around from the back of the pool
and it gets a few feet in the camera shot
and it's sitting there and all of a sudden
it's like somebody turns on a vacuum cleaner
like this sucks back around the back of the pool real fast
and then it's gone
and then I think that same night
shortly after he had caught some shadows
but the horses start freaking out and all that
and I don't know what would cause that
and I don't know if it's one and the same
but it was just it was very odd
and after he had a few videos of stuff
like that he's i'm out like i can deal with animals i can deal with something like that but i don't have
any idea what what causes that i don't know it's one of those things and i was going to say too when
you were talking about cameras and pictures and everything that's something that that i think about a lot
because everybody's everybody's got a camera everybody's got their phone everybody's got the camera
why don't you take a picture i'm telling you right now that night when i was laying in my tent my
my phone was right next to me the absolute last thing that i thought about until the next morning is that
phone. I should have. I wish I would have. I wish I would have kicked it on and had audio. I had any
kind of proof or could get a second opinion about, hey man, what does it sound like to you? But like in
that situation when that's going on, that was literally the last thing on my mind was, hey, I should
grab my phone and try and get something. Oh, yeah. You're in a situation like that. You're in
especially one where there's your son with you.
You're more focused on protecting, being ready to do whatever needs to be done.
And unfortunately, getting audio is definitely pretty low priority unless you're gung-ho researcher
that's off by yourself or with your buddies or something.
But I totally get how that happened in that situation.
It would have been the same for me.
Yeah, I think there's a big difference between the,
going out and looking for it.
Randy, I've talked to him where he'll go out
and he's got parabolic mics that are taped up around his truck
and he'll set up a tent to make it look like somebody's in there
and he stays up all night like looking for it
with audio and video and everything else.
And then it's a totally different ballgame
when you're not expecting it.
You're not thinking about it.
That was the night that we went out,
that was the last thing on my mind.
In all honesty, I bring the guns with me more for Mount Lions,
people that I don't trust any kind of self-protection that we're going to have.
The last thing that I thought was I was going to have something running by my tent at 3 o'clock
in the morning in the middle of a torrential downpour, you know, 5, 10, 15 miles away from
anything.
That's the last thing that was on my mind that night.
It's fascinating.
And just very interesting stories, the ones that make you really think and people that hear it,
I'm sure have it also experienced things similar to it.
I'm sure there'll be a few people that will reach out after this episode.
But Rocky, it has been a fun time chatting with you tonight.
If you are lucky enough to go out again and if you experience any other out of the ordinary things,
please feel free to reach out, definitely.
Oh, absolutely.
Actually, I've got a friend right now that I was talking to the other day that's going through some stuff
and had mentioned wanting to go camping
and I had told her that I was going to be talking to you about this
and she's this weekend we're going to have to talk about it
because I want to know and I want to go.
And I'm like, I'm telling you, I'll take you.
I'm not scared, but I've got a pretty good track record
of weird things happening that I can't explain when I go camping.
I'd love to.
I'd love to get back out, go back down in the same area,
really all over or southeast Oklahoma.
It's very remote.
Even the towns that are there,
that's one of those that you might have a stop sign in the middle of it.
So you've got a lot of wilderness, a lot of area.
There's a lot of stories and a lot of folklore.
And if half of it's true, hopefully it'll come and find me while I'm there.
Good luck going out in the future.
Stay safe.
And I hope to hear from you soon in the future.
Absolutely.
I appreciate it.
